The Emlen Physick Estate is a Victorian-era home turned museum that offers a glimpse into daily life in 1879. This four-acre property features a tearoom, the Carroll Gallery showcasing year-round art exhibits, and various tours to experience the old Victorian house at different times of day. Visitors can explore 15 restored rooms during a guided tour, gaining insight into Cape May's history and Victorian interiors.
This house is a gift to any Frank Furness and turn of the century and Victorian enthusiasts. The tour guides were truly stellar and added such value and depth to the experience. A highlight of our Cape May visit.

We pulled into park and were slightly early so went into the gift shop(once we figured out where it was) That's where we learned that the trolly light tour doesn't pick you up at the Estate but rather downtown where parking is like finding a needle in a haystack. I assumed based on it stating the tour is only 30 minutes and assuming we departed out of here, we'd be fine on time, although it was probably a tight timeframe. We had a 5:30-6pm Estate tour and a 6:30-7pm Light Trolly Ride. The estate tour was somewhat disappointing but I guess it's maybe because it wasn't what we thought. Estate was nicely decorated with lights & there was a decent size parking lot. We were told to wait outside in front of the building 15 minutes before but weren't really told what to do so everyone kind of just clustered up. It was a HUGE group. Seemed like staff were unprepared for the number of people and ended up splitting the group into two. There wasn't really much direction given and it was more of a drawn out re enactment as opposed to giving factual information about the estate. We only got through the first 2 rooms in a half hour, the amount of time they say the tour is. We had a trolly booked for 6:30 so we didn't stay longer. We would have liked to hear some factual background on the house, the way they lived, etc. I hate being "nit-picky" but unfortunately this was slightly different compared to tours we normally do. *Also, we only made it through 1 room in 30 minutes so expect this to be an hour or 2 tour. It is impressive how restored the estate is though and it's beautiful.

Love it. Loved Ken our tour guide too. Beautiful piece of history preserved. I highly recommend a tour.
Holli M — Google review
I absolutely lose my mind over historical gems such as the Physick Estate that have the entire house to peruse! The tour guide was fantastic & really went through every possible detail on the family & the history. Came with my friends on the first day of our CM vacation on a weekend. Pretty easy enough to purchase tickets ahead of time at the gift store. All in all a perfect way to spend a few hours learning about the local history! Highly recommend!!!!
Grace A — Google review
It was interesting and informative. I bought a combination ticket which includes a trolley tour. I recommend the combination.

The Emlen Physick Estate offers a great trip back into Cape May's Victorian History. Take the tour: Guides are knowledgeable and the property is beautiful.
Mary O — Google review
Very beautiful estate where we learned about Emlen Physick. We built a scarecrow, learned about magicians, and listened for ghosts
Lisa S — Google review
Excellent information and beautiful estate. We had a large tour group of about 10-11 people and there was not enough space in all the rooms for us to fit. The last ones in saw nothing until on the way out and then we were rushed to the next room. We came to see the room, the furniture the artwork. It's all lovely. We can forgo some of the story to drink in the details. Please let people really see the rooms, allow time for people wander a bit in them, and have smaller tour groups so there is enough room for everyone.

Washington Street Mall is a charming pedestrian street in Cape May, offering a nostalgic experience with its specialty boutiques, eateries, and dessert shops. The area is known for its gourmet offerings, including a selection of cheeses and charcuterie at The Cheese Shop, sweet and savory treats at Cape May Peanut Better Co., and exotic spices and flavored oils at The Spice Cellar/Olive Oil Co.
Wonderful family times and many memories are what we've always experienced at the Washington Street Mall. This visit was no different than our many in the past. A nice walk, some shopping, a visit to the Pink house, the Peanut butter shop, a walk on the beach, a family meal, and so so much more. Thanks Cape May for another great family memory!

such a cute little street mall and I love all the stores here. it’s the classical beach city street mall you’d expect from any place and it’s better than a boardwalk, you get the same amount of jersey heat but it’s definitely more enjoyable than dusty sand toes. the washington street mall provides more luxury than a boardwalk and is definitely the place if you want to pretend you’re living your dream preppy, coastal designer life. i spend hundreds here every time and I don’t regret it at all, there’s always another cute little souvenir (but i suggest you don’t get distracted by all the merchandise with the city name on it unless you’re not coming back, invest in some cute jewelry and a treat or some more quality clothes). still lots of handmade and local sponsorship and i love this place, i hope to see it flourish even more!

A fabulous place to shop at any time of year...but I particularly enjoy visiting in September! The crowds are a little smaller, and the weather is perfection! During my most recent visit I snapped up a gorgeous new hat, a fun fall cover up, and beautiful moldavite earrings! Definately worth a visit!
Deborah S — Google review
What a great way to spend several hours. There are a multitude of eclectic stores for everyone's taste. You can seek out your favorite Cape May t-shirt, find you child something to ccupy themselves on the beach, or bring your favorite four-legged friend a treat from Collar and Bone. Once you're finished your shore shopping, entertain yourself be indulging in one of the several eateries located on the mall. Round out your time here with the ever-present ice cream shoppes.
Hugh C — Google review
Washington Street Mall is such a charming spot in Cape May and absolutely a must-visit no matter what season you’re here! It’s the kind of place you can easily spend a couple of hours exploring because there’s truly a store for everything — from unique boutiques and gift shops to sweets, souvenirs, and more. Parking is paid and can be a little difficult to find, especially during busy weekends, but once you’re there, it’s worth it. The whole area is walkable, beautifully kept, and has such a welcoming small-town feel. There are also plenty of great eateries and cafés tucked around the mall, so you can shop, grab a bite to eat, and then keep strolling. It’s the perfect mix of relaxing and lively, with something for everyone. Every time we come to Cape May, we make it a point to stop here. It really feels like the heart of the town!

A wonderful time with wife open, dedicated walking only with very nice shops lining both sides. Were from Lewes/Rehoboth and the quality of stores just seemed of a higher standard. Very nice restaurants lining it as well. A beautiful day trip coming over on the fairy. We took our bikes for a 45 minute ride too the mall. Only 6 miles. A lovely time with mostly bike lanes from the fairy to the mall but not all. Id highly recommend the trip or visit.

The Nature Center of Cape May is a nature preserve in Cape May County, New Jersey, USA. The 18-acre campus features a hands-on education center with exhibits on ecology and the natural history of the area. Outdoor activities include bird watching, hiking, and fishing.
It's a great place to go with kids. Small nature walk, auxiliary garage with fish tanks and touchable sea artifacts. The main building has a kitchen area for kids to play, a 2nd floor wrap around deck, and a third teir lookout deck. There are tanks with reptiles and 2 chinchillas, and puzzles for kids. We always take a trip with our kids here while we are in Cape May!

Very knowledgeable and accommodating. Free use of binoculars & viewing balcony. Plenty of birds across the street next to the waterway

My 8 year-old grandson loves this center! Inside there is a first floor gift shop, a second floor insect and small animal display and a third floor lookout. Outside there is a garden path complete with milkweed and monarch butterflies. The center runs different activities throughout the year. There is a kayak rental across the street from the bay for the seafarer. They also run a summer camp sponsored through the Audubon Society which is reasonably priced for children who love nature. My grandson looks forward to it every year!

We stopped by for the Monarch Butterfly Festival and had a wonderful time. There was live music, food trucks, a variety of vendors, and a Monarch tagging demonstration. I also had the chance to reconnect with an old friend and author, Miles Nelson, at one of the tables. It was a great family friendly way to spend a few hours by the Cape May Harbor.
Tim J — Google review
We recently attended a monarch banding demo and learned so much. The staff were very knowledgeable and helpful to our needs. The gift shop was excellent for gift purchases and they have an observation deck on top of the building.

This was a stop on our rail bike ride, very beautiful place, glad to hear they are trying to bring back the monarch butterfly.

Great place to take the kids to on nonbeach day. A lot to learn and friendly and helpful staff. There is a little aquatic lab in the back with crabs, fish and horseshoe crabs and various other marine fossils.

Step back in time and immerse yourself in aviation history at the Naval Air Station Wildwood (NASW) Aviation Museum. Housed within a meticulously restored WWII training site, Hangar #1, this non-profit museum offers a captivating journey through the country's military and aviation legacy. The museum showcases a diverse collection of historic aircraft, engines, and interactive displays that provide an engaging educational experience for visitors of all ages.
Must see if you’re in Cape May County. There are so many wonderful exhibits in the museum. If you can find Jim Pennington. He’s a volunteer with a TON of amazing info and stories. Your visit will be soo much better with Jim showing you around. My favorites were the attack planes; Harrier, F-14 & F-16, but the old jets and Coast Guard stuff were cool as well. Great place for kids as there’s a ton of hands on things. You can get in some of the planes. Don’t miss the exhibits on the people lost during training. A nice part is you can spend 30min or 3 hrs depending on time available. But seriously, if you want to know more cool facts FIND JIM!!!!

I loved visiting the Naval Air Station Wildwood Aviation Museum. The huge WWII-era hangar is impressive on its own, and it’s filled with many fascinating airplanes and helicopters, piston and jet engines, with more to see outside too. The exhibits are interactive, you can sit in cockpits, explore vehicles, and even try simulators which makes it fun for all ages. Everything is well cared for and presented in a way that really brings aviation history to life. A must-see in Cape May for anyone interested in planes or history.
Mau M — Google review
Absolutely amazing aviation museum. The place is big, clean, and has many different aircrafts. The staff is super friendly and the gift shop is well stocked. We liked it so much that we visited twice over the summer despite having an over 2 hour drive to get there. And we will be back whenever we are in the area.
Magdalena O — Google review
First time visiting this aviation museum and I've been to many. Walking into the hanger brought back memories as I haven't been in one in twenty years when I was working on my A&P certificates. Good parking out, line into the gift shop to buy tickets was fast and everything went smoothly. My family and I were there as they were setting up for the airshow the next car and it was ok to go through the hanger/out given the movement of tables, etc. Nice array of aircraft throughout the years. Seeing the classics put a smile on my face even with the kids wanting to go home haha. The gift shop had a good selection of things to buy and the staff was friendly. (thank you for your patience with my son moving those big plastic toy bins around in front of the counter so he could stay occupied). Next time I'm down at the cape I will visit again.
Jake W — Google review
This museum is fantastic! It boasts an impressive collection of aircraft that you can approach and get a sense of their size and the challenges faced by pilots. The museum comprehensively covers the entire history of Hanger 1 and the airport. The staff was incredibly knowledgeable, informative, and helpful. It’s an excellent place to visit!
Robert C — Google review
Our son came home from university with several of his fellow Navy ROTC midshipmen for this past Columbus holiday weekend/fall break! The Naval Air Station Wildwood Aviation Museum and Flight Deck Diner were two must do activities! The NASW Aviation Museum is a phenomenal memorial and destination for everyone! Having been born and raised in Cape May County, my pride and love of our communities is strong! Celebrating the U. S. Navy’s 250th birthday on the exact day made the visit even more powerful! Bethany and Pat in the gift shop/ticket counter greeted us with a smile and warm welcome! Dr. Joe Salvatore and his wife Annie’s legacy and dedication to this very vital and historical landmark for Cape May County is truly felt through every exhibition in the authentic WWII hangar!
Melissa L — Google review
Such a great time with so much to do! Food vendors, live music, fire trucks, axe throwing, interactive fun for the kids! My 3 yo was asking to go back when he woke up in the morning. Can't wait to go back.
Shaylin P — Google review
We went to see The Longest Yarn. An exhibit of knitted pieces representing scenes from D-Day. The craftsmanship of each scene was amazing. The rest of the museum was outstanding. Covering the time period from World War II through present day military life at Wildwood Station and Cape May. Well worth the drive.

Nestled in the heart of southern New Jersey, Historic Cold Spring Village (HCSV) is a captivating living history museum that transports visitors back to the early years of American independence. Open from spring through summer, this charming village spans over 30 acres and recreates a quaint rural hamlet from the homespun era. Great place for a fun family adventure. Clean and safe. Lots of lovely folks working there. Very interesting to see all the different makers in the Viking area of The Clan of the Raven. Highly recommend the Seafarers and Maritime Celebration!

Very nice living museum. Great staff to ask questions if you have any. Nice to wander around the historic houses, and places. Small farm out back with a horse & couple of cows. The only place that we didn't get to go in or see was the restaurant. It was closed.
Deb K — Google review
This a lovely historic village where you can learn about 19th century history. There are separate buildings to visit: a blacksmith, a pottery studio, a schoolhouse, etc. Each one has a host who’ll tell you a slice of history. We especially loved the print shop and the bookbinder’s!
Valeriya S — Google review
Great historic village. There were many historic interpreters showcasing all kinds of crafts including spinning yarn, weaving, wicker, printing, blacksmithing, tinsmithing, and bookbinding. Kyle at the print shop was very knowledgeable and communicative. The village is a reconstruction assembled from real historic buildings that have been transported to the site, so the historic education component is very general, but still locally focused. They have sheep, cows, pigs, chickens and a horse on site. The curator of the village informed us that he is a physic medium, so there is a lot of paranormal tourism incorporated into the village. They did not treat it as a gimmick or a performance. They all seemed to take it very seriously like they really believe in the ghost stories. But if you're not into that, it was pretty easy to avoid. There is a nice ice cream parlor and bakery inside the village, as well as a restaurant and brewery right outside so this area can really be a full day adventure.
Gabriella E — Google review
Great historic interpreters. Kyle the interpreter at the print shop was great and really entertained our family! Glad we made a stop here.

Had a great time, the people working are very knowledgeable about the time period. Lots of interesting tools and a very tasty bakery.

I've rode past this place for years, never stopped. However, recently we decided to visit with family. What a pleasant surprise! I felt like I stepped back in time. Very educational, from the general store, inn, jail, school house, black Smith, etc. Each structure had someone dressed in the period and explained where Each structure came from and what the structure was used for. We even had corn on the cob, cooked on open flame and bread baked in the outside oven. There is also a welcome center and snack bar along with a bakery and ice cream store. There is a brewery which you can access in the parking area. If you rode past this place wondering what was there and never stopped, I would suggest you check it out. You'll be pleasantly surprised! There is a fee to get into the park, (not the brewery), and they do offer discounts for seniors and veterans for the park. There is also a ghost tour every Friday evening, however I believe these should be purchased in advance. You may want to call to confirm.
Joanne — Google review
We visited about 2 weeks ago and were not impressed. Maybe because it was a weekday in the summer so there were no events going on. The blacksmith was closed so it was really just all bunch of old buildings. Looking at the website I expected there to be more to do. We found this listed on Bring Fido which highlights places that are dog friendly. While it is dog friendly in that you can bring your dog, you can only walk the outside grounds with them. They are not allowed in any of the buildings, not even if they are a small dog and you pick them up. For us, this meant one person could go into the building and look around and someone had to stay outside with the dog and then that person went in by themselves. We’ve been going to Cape May for 25 years and had never been here. We only went this time because we thought it was something we could do with our dog who is small, well behaved and loves to be included in things. We would never go back there again. They should not advertise themselves on Bring Fido because it’s not an accurate representation of what they offer. We paid $16 each to go through and were only there about an hour

Located in Cape May, New Jersey, The Lobster House is a popular seafood restaurant with a lively atmosphere and waterfront views. It offers a full bar and casual dining experience, serving fresh lobster and seafood from the dock for lunch and dinner every day of the week. In addition to its five dining rooms, The Lobster House provides a unique dining experience on the Schooner American, an authentic 130-foot-long Grand Banks sailing vessel moored dockside.
Nice place for dinner. We seated inside the restaurant because we wanted air conditioning. But we realized that seating on the dock or the boat was also cool with sea breeze. We Will definitely choose to seat outside with Take-out orders the next time visiting Cape May. I gave only four stars because we waited for the food very long and it seemed like the waitress was too busy. But she was friendly. In general, I like this place and will come back again.
Alex Z — Google review
The restaurant sign at the entrance is large and easy to spot — anyone passing by on their way to Cape May Beach will definitely see it. There’s plenty of parking, which makes it very convenient. The restaurant is divided into three sections: seating on the boat, roadside seating, and indoor seating. Since it was raining when we visited, we sat inside. The interior has a classic, slightly old-school vibe. The staff were well-dressed and courteous. However, we were surprised when the server placed plates on our table that were still wet and had visible stains on them — we had to wipe them ourselves. We started with appetizers: fried calamari, fresh crab meat, jumbo shrimp cocktail, and clam chowder. The taste was decent. However, the staff repeatedly came over to ask if we were ready to order the main course, even though our table was still full of appetizers. It felt unnecessarily rushed, especially since it was raining and the restaurant wasn’t crowded. Once we finally ordered our mains — two lobsters (steamed and boiled) with a side of crab cake stuffing — the server brought us some bread. The bread was tasty and went well with the clam chowder, although it could get a bit messy when cutting. When the lobster arrived, we were excited — we had high expectations, especially from a place called “Lobster House.” Unfortunately, the taste was very average and not particularly fresh, which was disappointing. We eat seafood often and can tell the difference between fresh and not-so-fresh, and this was clearly not fresh. Overall, we were a bit let down. The restaurant is popular and worth visiting for the experience, but don’t expect too much. It could have been better.
Nitiphum S — Google review
We enjoyed a delicious meal, with friendly and attentive staff and a beautiful view of the harbor from our table. When we saw how many cars were in the parking lot, we were concerned we'd have a long wait for a table. However, the restaurant is huge, with multiple dining rooms, and we only waited about 20 minutes. The staff and kitchen were incredibly efficient, we were in awe of how smoothly they were able to serve so many people at once. I had the Flounder Francaise over linguine and it was one of the best meals I had on our two week trip across the Northeast coast. The fish was perfectly cooked with a light egg coating and the lemon wine sauce was delicious. My husband had the swordfish served on a wood plank with duchess potatoes and said his meal was perfect. We would definitely return when in the area again.
Dagny M — Google review
Quaint old school restaurant on the wharf with beautiful views and knowledgeable staff with adorable uniforms that take me back. Sandy was a great server. Very accommodating and direct. Food was excellent. It's nice that the salad is included with homemade dressing. The room was a little dark with many customers with flash lights. The bathroom attendant was so friendly.
Natalie S — Google review
It is one of the more popular restaurant in the area. There was a wait for dinner on a Thursday night. We arrived at 7:30pm and waited about 25-30 minutes for seats. Huge parking lot across the street. Crabmeat cocktail was good. Calamari was not that great. A little soggy and not crispy. Lobster house specialty was okay. The broiled 1.5lbs lobster was a must get.
Jason L — Google review
A staple spot to go in Cape May! Fresh seafood all the time, and delicious bread. It gets very busy! It's popular. It's best to get there right when they are opening, whether you are going to the restaurant or getting fresh seafood or takeout. It's worth the wait! Just know you might be waiting for a while.

Consistently exceptional. The Lobster House in Cape May never disappoints. The bread, salad, and fried shrimp are always prepared to perfection. The Cape May Salt Oysters are a true standout — delicately mild, impeccably fresh, and absolutely delicious. A timeless coastal dining experience that continues to impress with every visit.

If you are into sea food, this is your place. Absolutely great food. We loved the lobster tail special, lobster house special linguini and oysters. They also have a bar with many drink options and you can wait there until your table its ready. It can get very busy so, plan to arrive ahead of time.

Very friendly staff. Haven't been here in 12 years but still as good as I remember .. Soild brunch spot in Cape May! Even with a 45 min wait, the experience was totally worth it. The atmosphere was relaxed, the staff was welcoming, and the food delivered big on flavor. The corned beef hash was the highlight—crispy, tender, and deliciously seasoned. Breakfast potatoes were spot-on too. Portions were reasonable, and the chicken salad croissant was a pleasant surprise in both size and taste. Highly recommend for a laid-back, tasty brunch!

Not as impressive as expected This restaurant offers a wide variety of breakfast options, so I had high hopes. I ordered the Brussels sprouts fritters, but they didn’t taste as good as I expected. There was still a strong, unpleasant green taste from the vegetables, and honestly, I don’t think deep-frying works well for this dish. I also tried the award-winning cupcake, but it was just average—nothing special. The pancakes were underwhelming too; I’ve had better at other places, despite all the hype in the reviews. The orange juice was supposed to be freshly squeezed, but I couldn’t tell if it actually was. It tasted overly sweet and artificial, more like something with added sugar than real juice. The one dish I did enjoy was the eggs Benedict—the thick-cut bacon made it really satisfying, and that plate was the highlight of my meal. Overall, it’s a place you could try, but you’re not missing out if you don’t. There are definitely better breakfast spots in the city.

Fruit flies fruit flies. if you close the does an turn the air conditioner on it will keep them dormant . Had breakfast here the day before, eggs a pancake were good enough so came back the next night for dinner. What a mistake. I had both specials massaged kale and couscous ok, the monkfish etouffee flavorless But the real reason for the review is the chicken breast with the cream jus. Cold dry chicken that was definitely a day old. Are waitress Joanna was the only bright spot of this place . Honest, polite, courteous It’s a shame she had to apologize for the food and the flies . Don’t fall for the FAKE Reviews

Highlight: ✨️Orange Almond French Toast✨️ One of the best flavored French toasts I've ever had! No reservations, walked up and were given a buzzer with 1.5 hour wait time. Told by staff to come back to area 45 min after receiving buzzer. We were ready and seated within 10 min of coming back (50-55 min total wait). Service was good. Food arrived after a short wait (we were very hungry so it felt longer than it was) All requests were accommodated quickly and food was well made.

Yummy food! The Crousade was delicious and the Orange/Almond French toast hit the spot. I’m only knocking one star off because my friend’s latte was disappointing. Everything else was pretty great and would definitely recommend for a tasty breakfast spot.

Pleasant brunch spot in Cape May - we did wait almost an hour for a party of 2 on a Saturday morning (no reservations accepted for breakfast). The inside is airy and bright, feels like a boutique and very clean. The food was good, especially the corned beef hash. Worth trying if up for the wait.

Great food, great staff. Been coming here for years now and I'll keep coming back. Love the Croustade breakfast. Picture of the mango mimosa after a few sips. Try the MANmosa. ITS FANTASTIC!! If you're in Cape May, this place is a must.

Nestled in the picturesque Cape May Island, Willow Creek Winery & Farm is a charming destination offering tours and wine tastings amidst lush vineyards and gardens. The impressive 12,000 square foot wine tasting room with its outside brick patio and fireplace provides an inviting ambiance for visitors to savor the vineyard's wines. With a 50-acre vineyard benefiting from a unique climate, the winery produces exceptional red and white varietals.
Great food and good wine. Amazing scenery, and superbly pleasant staff. Had Dylan as our waiter and he was knowledgeable and courteous. The buffalo chicken dip is great, the willow whip is really fun and tasty. The best part was probably the setting; indoors and out the place is beautiful. The reds are nice, but a nice icy drink like the willow whip or sangria will be great with outdoor seating.

What a great experience at Willow Creek Winery - it’s a beautiful place with really good food and wine. I was pleasantly surprised. Lots of indoor and outdoor seating - tons of photo ops. But it was Heather who went above and beyond to make sure the wine flights we selected were suited to our tastes and our experience exceeded expectations. She was spot on, also. We all enjoyed our picks! She was so friendly, knowledgeable (answered all of our questions about grapes, barrels and more) and patient (explaining and re-explaining)! A total hidden gem in Cape May. Will be back for sure and thanks Heather!

This was my first time visiting a vineyard, and Willow Creek Winery & Farm truly impressed me. The drive in already felt special—passing through rows of beautiful vineyards before arriving at a full parking lot, showing how popular the place is. The winery offers two styles of service: one with table service and another where you order and then find your own seat. The atmosphere is absolutely lovely, and I highly recommend going around 4–5 p.m. when the sunlight is soft and perfect for photos. Normally, I’m not a drinker, but I had to taste their wines, and the menu I tried was so delicious. Overall, I really loved the experience here—it’s not just about the wine, but also the relaxing vibe and the beautiful setting.

Heather was the best server with the best suggestions. Our visit was extremely pleasant and we will be coming back to try the combo platter and have the highly-recommended, signature willow whip again (our favorite for the day). The Wilde cock white bottle was good for crispy white wine lovers, and the wild cock prestige white bottle was even better if you are a Chardonnay lover.

First of all, this winery has some very good dry wines (I was more prepared for NJ sweet stuff, but their Malbec was truly exceptional); they have wonderful premises with lots of picturesque vines to stroll through; food menu is solid, with some great highlights: bacon wrapped scallops were incredibly flavorful, pulled pork sandwich juicy, and burger a perfectly balance mouthful (sadly, fries was very good, too!). Highly recommend to anyone in the area

My group had a wonderful time at Willow Creek. We did the educational wine tasting and it was fantastic. Ryley was our wine educator and he was very knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. The food was delicious and the ambiance was stunning. I would highly recommend Willow creek for a day out and wine tasting. Ask for Ryley! Terry

Our stay at Willow Creek Winery was absolutely perfect! From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was warm, welcoming, and so peaceful. The property itself is stunninglush vineyards, beautiful scenery, and such a relaxing vibe. The wine tastings were incredible, with a great variety to choose from, and each one was delicious. The staff was not only knowledgeable but also genuinely friendly, making the whole experience even more enjoyable. Our stay on the property was just as wonderful. The accommodations were clean, cozy, and thoughtfully put together, giving us that perfect mix of comfort and charm. Waking up to the view of the vineyards felt like a dream. Everything was so well taken care of, and we truly felt like we could just unwind and enjoy ourselves. Whether you’re looking for a romantic getaway, a fun trip with friends, or just some time to relax and sip amazing wine, Willow Creek Winery is the perfect spot. We can’t wait to come back! 🍷🌿The Staff were so sweet and kind. Ps We LOVED THE SEASONAL WILLOW WHIP SOOOOO GOOD

A lovely winery!! Tons of seating both indoor and outdoor so you don’t need to worry about having a reservation. They also have a fun Alice in wonderland theme going on. Perfect scenery and location, especially being so close to beach plum farm. The food was really good- one of the best pulled pork sandwiches I’ve had! Only complaint is completely my opinion and I’m probably being picky but the prosecco was SO sweet (too sweet for a prosecco) and a bit hard to put down. The drink prices in general are steep for what you get, the wine is decent, but not amazing (I also tried the white wine my husband ordered). I would still definitely go back since it’s a beautiful property, staff were pleasant and attentive and the food was delish. 5 stars all around because I didn’t try enough of their wine selection to have a reasonable opinion.

My wife and I attended the performance of “Vanities” last night. The three female actors were amazing. To have such amazing talent available to see in such a small setting is priceless. We really enjoyed ourselves. Highly recommend this show! Cheers to the actors! Great job!

Saw Dutch Masters here on October 8, 2025. The show was amazing - powerful, unexpected, kept us riveted! The performances were excellent. In this small but comfortable theater, there is not a bad seat in the house. It was our first time at the Cape May Stage despite visiting CM every year, but we are definitely going to make this a part of our itinerary in the future!

Dutch Masters was amazing! The two actors were so talented! We knew nothing about the show and were blown away by it. It is thought provoking and concerned with current issues in today’s crazy world. The five of us are still discussing it and thinking about it two days after seeing it. If you can find a way, see this play. Cape May Stage is a treasure that never disappoints!

Saw "Dutch Masters" at Cape May Stage on 9/24/25. It is a play about an encounter of a Black and a White on the New York Subway and what ensues. The plot is well done, clever, and unpredictable. The acting was superb. Well worth a visit.

Experience the ultimate coastal getaway at Cape May Whale Watcher, where you can bask in the sun on pristine beaches and embark on thrilling whale-watching excursions. Indulge in wine tastings at picturesque wineries, such as Willow Creek Winery and Cape May Winery, or savor craft brews at Behr Brewing. For aquatic fun, head to Moreys Water Park for exhilarating rides and relaxing attractions.
My husband and I loved the Sunset Dolphin Watch! We got to see numerous dolphins and the captain pointed out many interesting landmarks, gave some Cape history, fun facts about ocean life in the area and really was fun to listen to. You could tell he loves the island and the water and knows it well. We were very happy with the cruise overall and would recommend to our friends. We would like to come back soon for the afternoon whale watch!
Meredith H — Google review
Lovely boat ride. Polite staff. We had small children on the boat and they worked hard to keep them safe. Unfortunately, the weather was so so, and it was difficult to stay outside. Also, while we saw several schools of dolphins, after two hours, the whales decided to stay hidden. I know it's a game of roulette, whether they will appear. Boat was clean. The snacks and drinks were a bit overpriced. A nice trip.
Meryl M — Google review
This was our third dolphin watching trip and the first sunset dolphin watch. As always, it never fails to disappoint! The dolphins were so close and the sunset was breathtaking! We also enjoy listening to the captain talk about dolphin facts as well as the history of Cape May. It's all very interesting.
Lisa M — Google review
Wonderful excursion! Website was user friendly. Instructions and directions were spot on. Vessel was well maintained. All staff and crew were friendly and helpful. The Captain’s commentary was informative and entertaining. All that AND multiple whale and dolphin sightings on an absolutely gorgeous October day. Couldn’t have asked for a better experience.

Perfect Family Sunset Cruise Experience! We took the Cape May Whale Watcher sunset cruise as a family of five—with three kids ages [14, 12 & 5]—and it was a highlight of our trip! From the moment we boarded, the staff was incredibly friendly and made us feel welcome. The boat was spacious, clean, and comfortable, with both indoor and outdoor seating (which was great for our youngest who didn’t like the wind on her face). The best part? We saw so many dolphins! They swam right alongside the boat, and the kids were absolutely thrilled. The sunset views were stunning—Cape May from the water is something you don’t want to miss. We also really appreciated the complimentary hot dogs and pizza. It made it super easy to enjoy the ride without worrying about food before or after. This cruise is the perfect balance of relaxation for parents and excitement for kids. We would absolutely recommend this to any family visiting Cape May.
Kristen B — Google review
Today, my hubby and I celebrated our 17th anniversary on the Cape May Whale Watcher. I couldn’t give the experience a perfect 5 because we saw no whales but everything else made this a PERFECT 4. I’ll explain. When we arrived, highly visible crew people in red tee-shirts helped us park in a free parking lot. Then we went to the gift shop to get our boarding passes. The waiting area was a set of comfortable picnic tables with giant board games. Once we all boarded we were on our way. The captain made announcements that we mostly heard but an upgraded sound system could make it clearer. He spoke of the various marine life that was under the boat. The boat itself was very comfortable. There were ample indoor and outdoor seats. Hubby and I chose to sit outside. Shortly into our journey we encountered a pod of playful dolphins. They were frolicking in fun ways that delighted us. Like the captain said, they won’t pose for us but it was fun to be in community with them. Then the captain strove to find some whales for us to hang out with but I guess the whales chose to stay underwater when we went. It was a little disappointing but I appreciated the efforts made. I also loved just being out on the water. The crew was very capable and the ride was so smooth. I saw a few folks catching relaxing naps. Including my neighbor’s toddler. The water tends to lull folks. Hubby and I loved the trip and would definitely go again.
Kelli M — Google review
Thank God for the staff for holding the boat as we were a few minutes late. The boat was great with indoor and outdoor seating. There was out door seating with and without shading. Although we did not spot any whales we did see plenty of dolphin pods. The captain was funny, sassy and had plenty of knowledge of the aquatic life. We had a great time. There was also plenty of restrooms and food available for purchase on board.
Hope N — Google review
The whale watching tour was pretty good fun. The captian was a very good orator! He spent hours talking us through the history of Cape May and the buildings that were well over 150 years old. Who knew the history could be so interesting. The light house is a beautiful landmark with history of its own. No spoilers. Many many interesting factoids and we hadn't even gotten out of the cape. The dolphins were everywhere, bottlenose dolphins with their babies calves! The educational aspect from the captain was very inspiring. So many facts and delivered with a sincere passion. I mean it, this guys voice was perfect and moving during the entire trip. A lot of rare factoids about the family business and future endeavors. The prices were right. The ship was roomy and one could roam about as desired. They served beverages and alcohol in the ships bar. There was plenty of FREE pizza and hot dogs for the hungry traveler. As many as you wanted to eat. They even offered whole pizzas to go when the tour was finished. They rent binoculars but the dolphins were very close. The whales however were much farther away. A few whales came to the surface but were pretty far off. I would fully recommend this tour for your family even with little kids. Along with clean restrooms and friendly staff, this is a 5 star tour!

Cape May MAC is a non-profit organization dedicated to enriching the cultural experience of the greater Cape May area. The town itself is a National Historic Landmark known for its well-preserved Victorian-era architecture. One of the best ways to explore this historic shore town is by taking a trolley tour through Cape May MAC.
To the best of my knowledge, Cape May is the only place growing a Poet-Tree. It is ripe with fruit. If you wish to experience wonder and joy, see for yourself. Delightfully unexpected surprises await thanks to Cape May MAC’s well curated offerings.

We hopped on around 6:15 for our 6:30 Holiday Lights Trolly Ride. They took us up and down the main streets of town, showing off all the beautifully decorated houses. The christmas lights were absolutely beautiful. Our tour guide was great. She was wonderful at knowing the balance between keeping it fun, yet factual and interesting. They do have a microphone so you should be able to hear her from any part of the trolly. The trolly itself was brand new and probably sat about 30/35 or so people, although we only had about 20. The seats were spacious and comfortable. Overall, it was a great experience. We'd be interested in doing another type of trolly tour at some point. We've gone on many and this one has been the best. The driver was great, extremely safe, and very hardworking. (Someone threw up before leaving for the tour so he had to clean it all up as they ran out of the bus and weren't seen again)

We decided to devote one day to being 'touristy' in CM & spent a Sunday in July checking out all the local places. This trolley tour did not disappoint at all! The guide was extremely knowledgeable & kudos to the driver, CM is rich in history & there were plenty of great stories told. We took the basic show us all around CM tour & tell us about the homes & characters that lived here many moons ago. The homes are really gorgeous to look at & since this was only day 2 of our vaca we could appreciate it all the more later on during the week while walking. A thoroughly enjoyable way to learn the history of CM.

We went on the spirits and oddities tour tonight- our guide and driver were great but we were alittle disappointed at the tour overall. It was just barely 30 minutes for $40 for 2 riders. We also felt that the information shared could be spookier or more in depth about some oddities that happened in the Victorian era or cape may in general.

It was a great experience to see the inside of the homes during the Candlelight Home Tours. First time for us. Trolley shuttles are open air, so just a little cold last night. Make sure you dress warm. Had a nice time. Busy, a lot of people, so start on time. Just a few shots from the evening we enjoyed. Thank you, Cape May MAC and those that opened their homes to us visitors! Each with it's own unique atmosphere and story which they were happy to share with us all.

I attended the Cape May murder mystery at the Chalfonte hotel last night. What an incredible disappointment in every way. The show was incredibly childish and amateurish. It was a complete missed opportunity, not to engage the audience. It wasn’t a murder mystery at all. After a too long Underwhelming performance, the characters came out and revealed who committed the murder. And then, it was just over. So anticlimactic. The food was just OK and the service staff really needs to learn what Customer service means. Someone at our table asked to switch entrées and was given a cold “NO”, without any explanation given. All this for $75- An incredible rip off. Never again

Great friendly crew. I highly recommend this tour.

I’ve been on this Skimmer multiple times and every time it’s amazing. Captain Travis always ensures everyone on the boat is safe and prepared. He also has so many interesting facts about the Cape May region. He is able to spot and point out wildlife to people on the tour and really bring an appreciation for the Jersey Shore. I have brought both my children on this tour multiple times and they love it. His crew mates often have sea life on board (sea cucumbers, spider crabs, mollusks, sea urchins, etc) and have a “touch tank” for the kids. Captain Travis’ crew mates explain the sea creatures to the kids and really make it an enjoyable experience. If you’re down at the Jersey shore for the summer….definitely check out Captain Travis and the skimmer!!!

Wonderful experience on the skimmer! We were a big group of 15 with kids ranging from 8 years to 9 months. Plus at that hour the tide was up and the setting sun makes the lighting and colors so awesome! Travis and his crew are so fun and knowledgable and you can tell how much they love the salt marsh wildlife and everything about it! Amazing tour. We did the sunset tour (5.30-7.30). Saw a lot of birds and a dolphin. The whole experience was very relaxed and pleasant. Our guides were great and obviously knew a lot about the local birds. Very family and kid friendly. The city's wide beach is divided into 16 different sections, each named after nearby streets intersecting Beach Avenue.
This past July I got to experience Cape May for the very first time w group of friends for a week long vaca. The beach is absolute heaven though I will say because we stayed at the nearby Ohana Beach Resort we already had the day tags so did not have to deal with any of the purchasing. I love that those of us at the nearby hotels would set up the umbrellas early in the AM & lay claim to the spots closest to the water. This beach is large & though it def looks crowded it never felt it. There were singles, couples, families, lil babies, teenagers - you name it -- I saw it. But everyone is very respectful of one another, no loud music, no loud noise, great life guards - just a lovely peaceful beach where you can enjoy the water. Can't wait to go back!

Nice location, but overpriced and poorly managed. Cape May Beach has beautiful views, but the experience was disappointing overall. They charge for everything — entrance per person, beach chairs, umbrellas — and yet offer none of the basic amenities you’d expect. No toilets, no showers, nothing. For the price, you’d think they’d provide at least the essentials. Definitely not worth the cost.
Ayesha T — Google review
I don't mind paying, since there are lifeguards.... But some people charging at the entrance are rude. Plus there is no bathroom or any facilities... Bring cash, if you use QR code there's an additional $2 charge.

Very clean beach. Soft sand. Very relaxing. My mom and dad are from Brasil and they love it. They can't wait to spend the day here. Family friendly. $10.00 for day pass per adult. There are $40.00 season passes and weekly passes. Definitely worth it. I do the day passes.

We always love cape may. Beautiful. Big. Many times look out and see dolphins. People are not on top of each other. Nice shops. Nothing bad to say.

Groomed beach with lifeguard requires $10 beach tag, includes restrooms with shower, promenade with view of Victorian hotels. Very warm water at this time includes some jellyfish and an array of crabs.

The oldest beach community in the US. Clean quite, family 👪 friendly. The views are amazing and the residents take care of their community. The beach is well maintained and the access to the beach in the summer one must purchase a beach tag. It's worth the price. Great waves amazing sunsets. It's a little pricey but worth the trip

The Cape May Lighthouse, built in 1859, offers stunning panoramic views from its top and features an oil house-turned-museum with a gift shop. Visitors can also enjoy various activities nearby such as golfing, dining at fine restaurants, boating, kayaking, saltwater fishing, crabbing, dolphin and whale watching, sightseeing cruises and more. Additionally, the area is home to several attractions including the Cape May Zoo and Wildwood's famous boardwalks.
We didn't climb the lighthouse this time because I believe we did in the past. The fee to climb is $12 per person (adult). You can see the area near the lighthouse for free. They have a little garden type of place and a boat which used to be a rescue boat back in time. It's a beautiful place, very well maintained. There are 2 accesses to the ocean nearby, but that's not for swimming. High free parking lot. A food truck can be found during the summer season in the parking lot. I recommend visiting the Cape May lighthouse. I love climbing them. Lighthouses have individual histories. It's a nice place. Cape May, New Jersey USA 🇺🇸

We visited on 8/20/2025. Climbed with 5 boys aged 3-7 years old and they had a great time. The stairs inside are pretty wide and there are stopping points by the windows, as you go up/down, to rest or let others pass by. The views at the top are definitely worth it!
Laura L — Google review
Must see attraction. Beautifully preserved site. Managed by super polite people. The climb is worth the scene from above. Also must visit the souvenir shop, the older gentleman is so adorable. The museum alongside is very interesting. Hike on path trails and time your visit with sunset to watch from the beach. It's breathtaking Plenty of parking available

The Cape May Lighthouse is such a stunning spot! Even without going up to the top, the surroundings alone are worth the visit. The area around the lighthouse is beautiful, peaceful, and full of charm — perfect for a relaxing walk and to take in the scenery. It’s a great place to enjoy nature, history, and the coastal views all at once. Definitely a highlight in Cape May!
Ariane T — Google review
The Cape May Lighthouse stands out as a remarkable historic site. Although we couldn’t climb it because of mobility issues, the area around the lighthouse impressed us. The grounds are well cared for and feature informative plaques, picnic spots, and nearby nature trails. At its base, you’ll find a museum and gift shop with exhibits about Cape May’s maritime past. Combining history, beautiful scenery, and educational experiences, the site has something to offer visitors of every age.
Chris L — Google review
This is a great family activity with a cherry on top - great views from the top or this well maintained and still working Lighthouse. This place offered a great exercise climbing 199 steps up and then going down but the most impressive thing is the amazing views of all of Cape May, the ocean, and the Delaware Bay. Highly recommend this experience when in Cape May on a clear day!

This was just a stop for a day trip at Cape May. We were lucky it was not crowded at all. Perfect weather for October. Not too many stairs to climb. Max pulse 126
Andrey G — Google review
What a neat place. Don't like heights much, but going down the stairs wasn't nearly as bad as I expected. 199 steps. Each window alcove had pictures and explanations about the structure and what life was like. Nice view from the catwalk(?) that you are allowed to traverse. Wish the gift shop had lighthouse pens! There was access to the beach from the parking lot, a mini museum, and boardwalk trails around the ponds, with opportunities for birdwatching. Ran out of time to do all three trails. Worth visiting!

The Wildwoods Beach Ball Sign is an iconic spot in Wildwood, New Jersey that attracts photography enthusiasts and history buffs alike. The sign spells out 'Wildwood' and stands in front of the ocean, making it a picturesque location for capturing memories. This area is also home to over 300 motels that date back to the mid-20th century, showcasing exceptional architectural designs from that era.
We went off season in April so we missed all the traffic and high schoolers😅 not sure if you need tickets or anything for admission, I don’t think you do? But we definitely didn’t because nobody was there! Great place to take pictures and hangout for a bit to enjoy the weather!
Khusbu P — Google review
Fun spot to grab pictures that commemorate your trip. Kids young and old enjoy hopping on the beach balls and into the Wildwood sign. The sign is open to the public without reservations or tickets, though it is popular so you might need to wait if you want pictures without others.
Nick T — Google review
We went for a weekend. The beaches are nice and clean. The boardwalk is large with lots of shops. I enjoyed running in the mornings. There are more motels than hotels. Plenty of places to eat
Juany J — Google review
The Wildwood Beach Ball Sign is such a fun and iconic spot! 🌊🎉 It’s colorful, cheerful, and the perfect place to snap photos with family and friends. The giant beach balls capture the playful spirit of Wildwood and make for a great backdrop, especially with the boardwalk and ocean right nearby.
Meriam B — Google review
This is a great photo opportunity while visiting Wildwood. I love the design and the setting of this. This will be crowded in general and lesser during evenings to get your picture. Parking will be a challenge so cover this while planning your boardwalk. For better pictures go closer to the sunset and will get amazing lighting or an overcast day.
Ramesh F — Google review
The Wildwoods Beach Ball Sign is a must-visit photo spot! It’s colorful, fun, and instantly puts you in a summer mood. Perfect for snapping vacation pics with friends or family. It’s located right by the boardwalk, so it’s easy to find and makes a great starting point for your beach day. Definitely one of the most iconic spots in Wildwood—don’t miss it if you’re in the area!

Wildwood is a nice getaway for the family. There is a long Broad-walk and a tram car if you don’t want to walk. You have to flag them down and it’s 5 dollars per person. There’s rides and pies for every age group. Plenty of food and treats and games.

Tisha's Fine Dining is a charming restaurant in Cape May that offers a diverse menu of New American cuisine, including sandwiches and burgers for lunch. The establishment prides itself on providing an enjoyable dining experience with a selection of delectable dishes. Tisha's also offers tasty side salads on both their lunch and dinner menus, such as the classic Cobb salad and the House Specialty salad with grilled or crispy chicken. Additionally, patrons can savor the simple yet delicious Kale Caesar salad during dinner service.
This restaurant deserves five stars all around! The service was great. The atmosphere is quaint. But the food is definitely spot on. Everything from the appetizers right through to the dessert was amazing. No complaints had by anyone at the dinner table, and we went with a big group. I would definitely recommend if you’re looking for a more luxurious meal.

We have been here multiple times over the past few years, and the food and service are always above and beyond. Danny has been our server the last two times we have been here and he remembered us and even where we sat the last time. We came today to celebrate our one year wedding anniversary while in Cape May. We are from Pittsburgh so we are only here once a year or so. We always make a point to stop here for dinner while vacationing in CM. The food is always delicious but the service is more so what keeps us coming back. I can’t speak highly enough about this restaurant. If you’re looking for fine dining while in Cape May, this is the place to go. Thank you, Tisha’s, for always making us feel special!

Came here for dinner for my cousins bachelorette weekend. Love a great BYOB and this place came highly reccomended. Service was great and food was phenomenal. Would definitely go back if I go back to that area. The calamari was EXCELLENT, burrito a peach salad was ok, the peaches weren't ripe so that was a little underwhelming. The Halibut that had on special was incredible, so fresh and cooked perfectly. The filet was delicious but the peppercorn(in my opinion) was a little too much to my liking. The seafood risotto was very flavorful and cooked perfectly as well. The gnocchi was great too.

This is a great option while walking or shopping at a famous Washington Street promenade in Cape May. We sat down in the back yard of the restaurant and it was great. Loved the food. Service was efficient and pretty quick. We highly recommend this restaurant.

Went off season for lunch. There was no wait and they were able to accommodate our stroller outside. (They had heaters so even though it was a little chilly we were super comfortable.) We shared a Cesar salad and my husband had the salmon po'boy. The fish was cooked perfectly. I had the scallops and risotto. It was a smaller portion, only 4 scallops, but I think it is technically an appetizer, and actually it was the perfect portion for me. The food was delicious and we enjoyed the people watching. Service was very attentive and not rushed at all.

Tisha’s is always reliable and delicious. We enjoyed the halibut and a Thai style chili salmon with shrimp. Beautiful setting, sitting outside, with exceptional service. Reservations recommended.

Very romantic place for dinner. We had lobster bisque and it was excellent! My chicken pasqual was really good. My husband had the pork chop with apples and it was cooked to perfection. The gnocchi was terrible. Gummy and tough. Our server was ok, got the job done but no warmth at all. Overall it was a great dinner and we would go back.

Morey's Piers & Beachfront Water Parks is a 6-block beachfront amusement park in Wildwood, NJ, offering over 100 rides and attractions, including seasonal water parks. The park has a laid-back vibe with expansive beaches and a lively boardwalk. It features classic theme park rides such as a Ferris wheel, go-kart race track, and large roller coasters.
I got the water park and rides combo wristband deal for an adult and child for under $250. The awesome part is they let you split up the days you go to the rides and water parks. We were able to ride all the water park rides on both separate piers. That was a blast and the next day we got into the rides as soon as they opened and got to go on all of the rides that allowed wristbands. The major /tall rides like slingshot and tall swing was not included with the wristbands. The deal and parks were so worth the money if you like the thrills I would highly recommend Moreys piers. The workers are very safe, nice, and helpful. I love this place every year we come back for more fun!
Jamie M — Google review
All the staff is extremely friendly. The rides are fun for all ages. I bought the all day pass for a family of 4. We more than made up the cost. We went on a Tuesday night towards the end of the summer. Lines were extremely short and we went from 1pm when the first pier opened up to 11pm when they all shut down for the night. Plenty of games for the kids to win every time. I also recommend the games package that gives you 10 games for the price of 8.
Edward K — Google review
Great pier with lot of rides, games and entertainment. Definitely check it out. The purchase of tickets is challenging and tricky. Less wait times for ticket but longer for rides. The vibe is great. You can also buy the tickets online and get some savings. There are some quick food options closer and within the pier.
Ramesh F — Google review
Morey's is more expensive than many other amusement or theme parks, but it's an experience to be at the shore and at a park! The rides are extremely well maintained, even better than a lot of parks that are far inland. The ticket system is kind of a bummer but a wristband makes the process a lot smoother. The atmosphere is great, combined with the boardwalk and live music. Can't wait for next season!
Jessica — Google review
I used to love coming here as a kid. Just went back for the first time in probably ten years. The price tag still has me in shock. Most of the good rides cost 8-10 tickets. Each ticket costs $1.50. so if you're riding the Great North Easter for 10 tickets, that is a FIFTEEN DOLLAR ROLLER COASTER RIDE. They have slight deals (92 tickets for 82 dollars, brings the price tag down to $1.15 per ticket) but it's still just not worth it. You'd end up spending all 92 tickets on like 9 rides. And of course, they have an absolutely laughable wristband option: $115 for a wristband. The rides are fine. But you should honestly just go to Six Flags instead. They gotta figure this out.
Conor M — Google review
Its awesome to be able to enjoy the pier without admissions. For non-riders it's great. Plenty of seating, fun food and beverages and shopping too. Kids love the rides, we do tickets since they never expire. There is something for everyone at Morey's pier.
Lisa K — Google review
Went here last August for a nice vacation with family, and safe to say I enjoyed it! The atmosphere was extremely clean, tidy, sometimes a wait for rides but it’s usually only during the night. The area is huge! Food is delicious, and rides are magnificent. I recommend coming at night (if you can deal with wait times, and its the best time to be there).
JoeyLordTDM — Google review
We love Morey’s piers. We get the season passes every year. The waterpark staff is amazing and the ride operators are so nice. The clean team is always nice and out and about keeping everything clean. We love playing games and visiting the food vendors. We had one issue during Octoberfest where they denied my kids a win on the quarter game and we left upset but hey every operation has a bad day and can’t keep all patrons happy. Just wish it didn’t affect my children.

Cape May Winery: A Delightful Surprise I recently had the pleasure of re-discovering Cape May Winery, and it exceeded all expectations. While known for its exceptional wines, I was pleasantly surprised by their brunch offerings. As a dedicated red wine lover, I ventured outside my comfort zone and tried a few whites, and they were a delightful revelation. The smoked salmon was a standout, a first for me, and I was thoroughly impressed. The combination of flavors was perfect. The ambiance was relaxed and inviting, making it the ideal spot to enjoy good food and great company. CAPE MAY: we were truly charmed by Cape May Winery and, although no surprise, visiting this spot reinforced that there are great small businesses and how we really have it all here in New Jersey! Leashed and friendly dogs are allowed at designated areas, so check with the host to be seated. Open daily throughout the year, come for the wine made from their own farmed grapes and stay to enjoy a tapas-inspired food menu, and a stroll amongst the Napa Valley-like grounds. We really got lost in the beauty of the place and the sense of whimsy and magic. We enjoyed a bottle of one of their white wines and you can also order by the glass or in a flight for a wine tasting. There is a nice selection of varietals to choose from.

Sunset Beach in Lower Township, NJ is a picturesque destination offering a range of activities for visitors. The beach is known for the submerged ruins of the concrete SS Atlantus and quartz crystals scattered across its sandy shores. Additionally, the area boasts excellent camping facilities, golf courses, and bird watching opportunities. Families can enjoy collecting Cape May diamonds, searching for shells and sea glass, and taking leisurely walks with their pets on the dog-friendly beach.
Sunset Beach in Cape May isn't just a location; it's a daily spectacle that feels like a masterpiece painted by nature itself. As the sun begins its descent, the sky over the Delaware Bay transforms into a breathtaking canvas of fiery oranges, soft pinks, and deep purples. It's an east-coast rarity—a chance to watch the sun melt directly into the horizon over the water. But the magic here extends beyond the sunset itself. The beach is a treasure trove of unique charm. You can hunt for "Cape May diamonds," small, naturally polished quartz stones that gleam in the sand, or explore the hauntingly beautiful remains of the SS Atlantus, a concrete ship that ran aground nearly a century ago. These unique features add a layer of history and wonder to an already stunning scene. For a truly poignant experience, be sure to catch the evening flag ceremony, a heartfelt tradition that honors veterans as the day comes to a close. Sunset Beach is a place for reflection, for connection, and for witnessing one of the most stunning natural performances the Jersey Shore has to offer. It's a must-see for anyone who wants to experience the sublime beauty of a Cape May sunset.
Eric S — Google review
Maps didn't put my pictures in the order I chose them but you can see how beautiful the sunsets are! Not only are the sunsets beautiful at Sunset Beach, but you can also search for "Cape May Diamonds" in the sand. They are the pebbles that have become clear over time. You may want to grab a little something to eat before you go if you are planning to eat at the restaurant. My son wanted a little something and it would've been a 3 hr. wait! I have gone to Sunset Beach many times over the years and seen differing sunsets. My son's favorite was when we went to see the sunset, but there wasn't one because of a lightning storm further out in the ocean. It too was a beautiful part of nature to watch. He was wishing for a thunderstorm this last time we went!

Amazing beach. So many rocks and shells. The gift shops are amazing. There is a ship wreck near and you can take fun photos. They have the viewing binoculars that you can pay a quarter and see. The one gift shop has a mini golf place. Go to the gift shop in the off season. Such a fun place. Great places to eat too.
Amanda M — Google review
Sunset Beach is a must-do during our beach vacations. Arrive early to experience the moving flag ceremony—it’s a highlight. The beach is especially beautiful during golden hour and perfect for family photos. There are also shops and food options nearby, adding to the charm. Parking can be a challenge. While there are a couple of small lots near the beach, they fill up quickly. We often end up parking on the street and walking.
Mark S — Google review
We passed this beach by on the trolley while tiring around Cape May. The place is beautiful and seems very popular and liked by locals. The shop near the beach is so cute and it has so much beautiful stuff including famous Cape May diamonds. The staff is friendly and very knowledgeable. All in all, it’s a great place to stop by for a day at the beach with the family. We will definitely be back for more!

Always a fun time at Sunset Beach. We came back to visit after many years. Still digging for those Cape May diamonds!
Michele — Google review
Grew up coming here every summer and some nights take your breathe away. A must stop on your vacation to the Jersey shore. Best nights to go are when the skies are clear (limited clouds) and during the week. It gets crowded but worth it. Have seen countless engagements here and families pictures. Just spectacular. The gift shop has adorable crafts and gifts, as well an example of the famous Cape May diamonds. Bathrooms on site and plenty of parking in the lot as well as on street.
Sandra — Google review
I think the beach is slightly overrated. In the season so many people come to see the sunset that it's very difficult to find parking. The beach itself has rather course sand that looks a bit dirty. Nice view of the shipwreck.

During a honeymoon trip to Cape May, I had the chance to visit Hawk Haven Vineyard & Winery. Despite the mid-March weather, my experience was delightful. The winery offered a serene and quiet atmosphere, with attentive customer service from the staff. We spent nearly two hours on their covered and heated porch while sampling different flights of wine. Our group of four enjoyed various tastings and everyone found something they liked.
I have to say is one of the place I have ever visited. Love each time spent at Hawk Haven Vineyard & Winery. our taster hosts for the day was our Celine was amazing very charming with us. I really appreciate and recommend everyone to visit this place each 🍷 was delicious. I happen to buy 4 bottles to bring home. I'm definitely going back to visit. A beautiful Vineyard. We stopped here on the way back from Cape May, and they had a wine tasting session. They provided us a flight of wines to taste for free as we were new to the place. Celine had introduced us to our wines and she was awesome. We had a great time conversing with her and trying out the different spectacular wines. We didn't stay to enjoy the wine yard and the music being played as we had other commitments but the place is definitely great. Will definitely recommend a visit if you are down there.

We had the absolute best experience at the winery thanks to our server, Vinny. From the moment we sat down, he was warm, welcoming, and incredibly knowledgeable. He guided us through the wine list with enthusiasm and made fantastic recommendations that perfectly matched our tastes. August 2025 This spot delivers on food and service, though the atmosphere can be hit or miss depending on where you sit. The live music on Saturday afternoon created quite a racket inside, but grabbing a table outside made for a little more pleasant of a dining experience. The kitchen clearly has its act together, as our food arrived in under 10 minutes, which is impressive without sacrificing quality. The brisket salad was a standout, perfectly executed and satisfying. The blackened shrimp tacos hit all the right notes with great seasoning, and the pastrami on rye came with some excellent chips that elevated the whole plate. Service was attentive and friendly throughout our visit, and given the location and quality, the prices were reasonable. Just plan accordingly if you’re sensitive to noise levels, and consider snagging an outdoor table if the weather cooperates.

The service and atmosphere are good, but for $3 to upgrade the chips to fries - the portion was super small. Other tables here were served double the amount of fries. I recommend to at least attempt some type of equality and quality when it comes to “extra charge for an upgrade” items. The side salad is over priced and we had 1/2 of a cherry tomato in it. Was kinda wild. The cornbread we ordered was two small, thin, tasteless pieces for $4.50. I felt played. The burger was cooked to request at least. We used to come here often, but this time we didn’t enjoy it a bit. Will try again in a few weeks - hoping the quality improves.

I mean WOW. The best place I’ve ever been for lunch and dinner. Food is top tier, absolutely delectable to where my partner and I were here 3 times within 1 week on vacation. All 3 times we got something different and it did not disappoint. Food also comes out fast even when busy. The service is great, they leave you alone while eating which is personally pleasing and the atmosphere is family friendly, and comfortable. There is live music every night which is fun. Prices are great for what you order, definitely worth every penny. Would recommend this place to everyone, will definitely be returning when another vacation comes around.

Family friendly gastro pub is how I would describe this place. Then menu has a nice variety. We started with the nachos . They were just okay. I don't like potato chips for nachos. Everyone enjoyed their entrees. Burger, Ruben, fish and Cuban sandwiches were thoroughly enjoyed. My only complaint is the sandwiches came with chips not fries. My ribs were fall of the bone and my daughters wings were plump and crispy. Service was good.I would definitely come back if in the area.

Excellent food at fair prices. Superb Smoked ribs with delicious coleslaw, cornbread and hen chips and a brisket Mac and cheese that was to die for. The Salmon on a chipotle salad was perfectly cooked. We even shared a yummy warm chocolate cake. Our server Sergio was great - friendly and attentive. Would go back any time!

Went here for dinner with my fiancé & the food and drinks were amazing! we barely had to wait before the waitress came over to take our order. the food and drinks were brought over so fast too! there was live music as well and the ambiance is overall amazing. The menu has so many different options too. i highly recommend this place for an evening with family, friends, or your spouse! 10/10!

We come here annually for the NJ State Firemans Weekend and make sure this is the first place we stop to eat. The food is always delicious and the service was excellent. This time around we had Shaq and he didn't disappoint. He was courteous and was a pleasure to interact with. Great food and service.

Everyone had wonderful customer service. All of the lifeguards were very attentive. The Director, Eleni, was more than accommodating when their new system was not updating properly. The kitchen staff had great customer service as well. I couldn’t be happier with our experience.

Did the wave birthday party package. Was worth the money. The kids had a blast it was hard to get them to leave. The birthday cake came out so nice. I didn't ask for a design or any special directions I only choice vanilla and they gave us a nice cake. I highly recommend them for birthday partys all I had to bring was the birthday kid and towl Splash zone did the rest. The only downside is that you have to meet your party at the entrance they don't have a host that will bring guest to the party area. Also parking can be hard. I'm glad that I did have my son's party at Spash zone it was a great time.

I had a birthday party there for my twins . They had such a great time . The staff was very polite..Rodger was the best with communication and the party set up for reservations..we will be definitely returning again

Took my granddaughter for the morning session. I wanted to try out Splash Zone because it was smaller. Being that there were not too many slides to begin with it was highly disappointing that the one we wanted to ride was not open. I booked a 'cabana' which was more like a stall. It was downstairs by the bar area and dark and small with no server. There were nicer actually cabanas that were available so I'm sure why were stuck in that one. Overall it was ok for the price but definitely a one and done.
Amanda G — Google review
Great place for children. My granddaughter had a great time. She went on all the rides and wasn't scared of any of the slides. The pool is also a lot of fun and the lazy river was great. My only complaint is we bought tickets ahead of time and we still had to wait in line at the ticket counter. Should be a different line for people who bought tickets ahead.
Patti Z — Google review
Very good water park for the price with cheaper cabanas. Has a bar for the adults with pretty good mixed drinks and also a snack bar with pizza, fries ,etc. Water slides, lazy river and a family area are the biggest attractions here. What it's really missing is some type of "pool" to lounge in (even if it was a wave pool). Most adults aren't there to climb 6 stories or steps to go down the slides. But all in all, good water park for the day.
Dave G — Google review
Great water park for the price. Found parking just yards away and got a locker for the day for our belongings and it's right in the boardwalk and across from the beach. Friendly staff and convenient bar and food spot on premises. Bought a bunch of passes on sale for next year!
Stephanie C — Google review
The waterpark itself is good. Its got some large slides. Some small ones, a lazy river, and some good food. I have two problems. The lines for the slides are awful, especially for The Beast of the East. I think I wanted for 15-20 minutes baking in the sun. The prices are my other problem. $30-50 is way too much for a smaller waterpark like Splash Zone. Though, the hours you get are generous. What I would do instead is get the wristband from Morey's Piers.

Hereford Inlet Lighthouse, constructed in 1874, has been restored and now serves as a museum with tours available. Visitors can explore the lighthouse's butterfly garden and browse through its gift shop. The site offers a serene half-acre garden in North Wildwood, providing a peaceful escape from the bustling shore life. While climbing to the top is restricted due to its active status, visitors can still ascend to the landings for picturesque views of the inlet and surrounding ocean.
It is a beautiful area to explore on a sunny afternoon. The lighthouse is located in North Wildwood, NJ. It's easily accessible from the Garden State Parkway at Exit 6 or from Route 9. After spending the afternoon at the lighthouse, the Inlet Restaurant is within a short walking distance. Then you can make your way over to the seawall, which allows you to follow the line of the beach for over a mile.
Hugh C — Google review
Beautiful lighthouse, small but full of history and memories. The gardens are exquisite. It also has entrance to the beach. Have your camera ready for excellent pictures.
Bonnie V — Google review
Wonderful job on the restoration of this gem. The local government and the volunteers really stepped up here. This is a wonderful end of the inlet, more private with a nice long beach behind the site. There is a very nice paved walking trail that runs right by it too. I think it is the best spot in North Wildwood. Inside, through the displays, you get a real sense of what it was like to live at the lighthouse with your family. There are charts on the wall that show the many shipwrecks and the rescues off the coast here in the 20th century. The Coast Guard and life guards here really have done an amazing job over the years. There is an enchanting shade garden on the grounds that is certainly worth strolling through.

Such a cute stop. The lady working was super friendly and there was a guy sitting in the garden (not sure if he was an employee or retiree enjoying his afternoon) who was sitting and explaining some fantastic history from the area. He got into a great discussion with my husband about WWII stuff. Great stop. :)

South Cape May Meadows is a 200-acre coastal sanctuary that attracts numerous birdwatchers annually. The preserve serves as a habitat for native and migratory birds, offering visitors the opportunity to witness these magnificent creatures in their natural environment. As eco-tourism gains popularity, Cape May has emerged as an exciting destination for responsible travel, boasting not only Victorian homes and historical significance but also abundant green spaces and wildlife.
What a beautiful place to walk around and observe nature at its best. It was cool to see the Piping Plover nesting on the zoned off beach that allows for them to safely nest. I also saw egrets and other birds along the way. I appreciated the bird blind and the raised platform with free viewing binoculars. The paths were well marked and walkable. It’s an easy mile loop with additional trails off of the main one including the section on the beach. So pretty. A nice break in midst of a very commercialized area.

Once, a town with huge dreams and ambitions stood here. A town that had aspirations of being a huge seaside resort town, that had a grand hotel, it's own early rendition of Lucy The Elephant called the Light Of Asia, and marvelous Spanish and Mediterranean inspired architecture on its many residences and businesses. That town, South Cape May Township, unfortunately, had a starcrossed and most unlucky existence, however. First, the transportation logistics of the era were most prohibitive. It was too far from town, and plans for rails constantly fizzled. The hotel burned down. The Light Of Asia was a bust as a tourist attraction. Worst of all, the grand Mediterranean architecture proved to be completely unsuitable for the cold rainy and windy weather of winter here. Buildings flopped, and whatever land booms they kept touting continuously went belly up. As a result, the population for much of the early 20th century never got into triple digits. The death blows for South Cape May Township came as the results of first, a pair of land booms that went bust, and then, a pair of huge Atlantic storms, one in 1936, and the final killer, The Great Atlantic Storm of 1944 that November, that almost completely submerged the town, leaving all six blocks from Beach Avenue to Sunset Boulevard and practically everything from 4th to 21st Avenues as well as most of an additional 10-12 blocks east-west and 6 blocks north-south in the adjoining Wetherby Tract under water and useless. Debris from the storm's damage spilled over into West Cape May and Cape May Point as well. It took a number of decades, and a lot of political fighting, before they finally were able to do something with this land. Instead of trying to build the land back up, the area was converted to a nature preserve. And what a preserve it is! Walking trails, informative signboards, and a chance to just observe and relax within nature, make South Cape May Meadows a wonderful experience. There are numerous observation areas to take a look at birds and waterfowls, and if you get too tired, there are some benches to rest upon. Many locals use the trails for daily exercise as well. If there is one drawback, it's that this preserve is just too big to cover everything that it has to offer in one day. You really HAVE to make like two or even three trips in, to experience all there is to see here.
Burt S — Google review

SCOTT C — Google review
Highly recommend this awesome preserve. Well maintained trails. Excellent birding. Note that the preserve is for nature conservation. Therefore biking and dog walking are not permitted. I’ve birded 100s of times here and love walking the trails all year long. Bugs can be brutal during the summer months, but look at it as the food for the birds. I apply a bug repellent consisting of 100% organic essential oils that work fantastically. TNC has really developed a gem of a habitat that is rare along the Jersey shore having freshwater wetlands adjacent to the ocean. It’s a delight to visit this wonderful place.

Cathy is a gem of Wildwood, hilarious and knows her stuff. The museum is small, but it's absolutely packed with memorabilia, some of which is in the process of being restored. My wife and I took the trolley tour to see all the old doo-wop-inspired motels and we absolutely loved it. It was the perfect length at about an hour and 15 minutes, the narrated tour was done so well with a great mix of information about the history of the hotels and the history of the architecture. And it was of course just lovely to see all of the neon signs of Wildwood past :-) highly recommend this tour for anyone!

Really upset. Went to the museum and it wasn’t open the regular Friday/Saturday hours. Checked the website first and it said 6-9:30 pm. No other news or updates on the site. Called and apparently the hours this particular weekend were wildly different. As in 11am-5pm on a Saturday instead of 6-9:30. This was the one thing we really wanted to do on our family vacation. Super disappointed.

Had been to cape May for a family vacation and kids surely wanted to do an escape room .. Google reviews were good and this one was close to where we stayed . It looks like they have 2 locations .. and both were having good reviews . For me , it was first time .. so it was really exciting ! Lots of parking outside . Service was excellent . Location wise it was good . I thought it was slightly expensive but kinda ok once in a while .. about 250$ for 5 adults and 3 kids !! . Kids enjoyed a lot of. There Were 3 rooms and we didn’t want a very complicated room. We went to Sherlock room and it was very good and interesting … we just completed the room on time . Was very exciting . Wanted to give 4 stars but gave it a 5 star review , just for the enjoyment that the kids had !

My teammates and I were in Cape May for a meeting and had so much fun doing these escape rooms! We had such a great time after the first one, we went back and did two more. My favorite room was the space-themed room. I have never experienced an escape room quite like that one! The owner was very friendly, helpful, and accommodating for our group.

Our family of 4 (mom, dad, two kids - 11 and 13 y.o.) did Sword in the Stone...and escaped! :) All four of us stayed active and engaged in the room the whole time, with each person seeing/finding something the others didn't at some point - so everyone felt involved and invested in the game. We are all escape room veterans, and we found this room the perfect level of challenge and enjoyment. The room was beautifully designed, both in the mechanisms and also in the artistry. Highly recommend!

This was my first escape room experience. My best friend and I did the Sherlock Holmes room. We didn't escape but did discover a lot of clues and had a wonderful time! Our game master was a delightful young lady who really took her time with us and made us feel so comfortable. I've always been curious but a bit reluctant to try an escape room. Please try this out! I can't wait to do another one. If our game master could be recognized, we visited on Mon 8/25 at 5:00pm. I really hope we see her again to do another room when we come back down the shore next year.

We always have a great time at Escape May! Last year we completed the Sword and Stone room and this year we tackled the Space Escape room, narrowly escaping with just 3 minutes to spare. Very disappointed in the tram car this vacation that I had down here for a couple days literally the tram care only went in one direction, even though there was four of them then after an hour and a half you might see another one go the opposite direction. Stopped to talk to a manager, and they disregarded and made excuses for everything. I was explaining to them that the seniors who are walking on the boardwalk, can’t stand around and wait an hour and a half for a train car to go to the opposite direction and perhaps maybe the tram cars should go on one side and then two on the other side and keep moving all day long instead of all four tram- cars, literally going One Direction very disgusted very sad and also no apology was given to me or my girlfriend who has lupus and rheumatoid arthritis and really could’ve used that tram car plus they charge you five dollars for one way. There was absolutely no accommodations or anyone trying to fix or rectify the problem just many many many excuses also from the manager and employees!! I N in a wheelchair scooter myself so I was literally riding on the concrete did not have to move at all literally for an hour and they tried to make an excuse and said they were on a schedule yet. How can they be on a schedule when they stop 3000 times going in one direction that’s why it takes an hour for one to go one way yet four of them are working on the boardwalk including the new one the new truck!!!!!

THAT WAS WITHOUT A DOUBT THE BEST TRAM CAR RIDE WE HAVE EVER HAD!!!!! Mike and Renie are the most fabulous tram car team! Wildwood, take it from someone whose first vacation was here and is now 32 years old; you NEED to have these guys train the rest of your awesome drivers and any newcomers coming in. They are funny, charismatic, approachable, and irreplaceable. Mike had us laughing from the start of our ride at one end of the boards to the last stop at Ocean Towers. You can tell how much he cares about what he does, but more importantly about people. They are a great team and I hope we get them every single time!! God bless them both. Thank you Mike and Renie, we love you! 🥰

This is an absolute classic in Wildwood! It’s a great way to get around on the Wildwood Boardwalk. It’s a big boardwalk, 2.5 miles one way! All you need to do is raise your hand 🙋‍♀️ and you get on board. It costs $5 each time you board, and it’s been the same price for a few years now. The ride can be a bit bumpy at times (when you’re on the pavement part) but it’s such a great ride. You can see loads of the Boardwalk and take up the atmosphere. And all you have to do is raise your hand 🙋‍♀️ again to get off! I’d highly recommend this classic experience!
Suzanne B — Google review
If you didn't get on or off at the end/beginning it was really hard to get their attention to stop. Waving hands and yelling and almost standing is what it took to get their attention. 2 trams with the new pick up truck and some other thing, just rode the boardwalk refusing to pick anyone up. Why bother being there. 6/29/25
Flo I — Google review
Do you people realize that it used to cost a quarter to ride the tram car! 5 dollars! Give me a break! You would think a Wildwood landmark , been there forever, would just maybe, not be a rip off.
Ken D — Google review
The tramcar was stopped for us to get off. Me and my 2 sisters were still getting off when the tramcar started up and my one sister almost fell and my other sister just missed falling off. There is a lot of seniors on these car and they need to be more watch full of people getting off. Isn't that the job of the person working in the back????

It’s a nice place to relax after walking around for awhile. Don’t forget to keep nature beautiful and clean up after yourselves, we all have to pitch in.

Excellent 1 man show about James Baldwin held at their current location in downtown Cape May in the air conditioned Presbyterian Church... moving to their new location in late 2023!

Attended A Brilliant List last evening. A play well written , directed and performed with humor and sensitivity on a difficult and sensitive subject. The new venue is perfect for the East Lynne shows. Kudos to the Company for the new venue and a wonderful production.

Saw Arsenic and Old Lace. Very entertaining production and a night well spent. Kids under 12 get in free and they do offer a Veteran discount. The theater is located inside an old church.

Play was performed by engaging actors! We didn’t appreciate that theater manager blocked 5 2nd row seats for the 2 of them. We seniors sat in 4th row and could not see well because seats aren’t tiered.

We love this theatere company when we visit town each year. I was happy to see them in their own establishment this time!

Wonderful experience; their production of “Love Letters “ was beautifully performed and so touching both so AND my husband walked out with tears in our eyes. This is the third production we’ve seen; we’ve never been disappointed. My one caveat though, if you have a bad back or not much padding, bring a pillow, or two; those church pews can be murder. If you go, consider dining across the street ; it used to be the Merion Inn, now it’s The Cricket Club. It is an excellent addy to Cape May’s wonderful dining experience.

Revolution Rail Co. offers a unique rail bike adventure along The Nature Conservancy's Garrett Family Preserve, providing riders with the opportunity to observe wildlife and learn about the area's history. Using decommissioned railroad tracks from the former Seashore Lines Railroad, individuals, couples, and families can enjoy a leisurely ride from Cape May Visitors Center to Cape May Canal. The experience is suitable for all ages and abilities, making it an ideal outdoor activity for the whole family.
This was a great day trip! My family and I did the rail ride in NY a few years ago and we decided to try out Cape May since it is much closer to our home than NY! It was awesome! I particularly loved the informative history of the railroad and the area in general and also loved the conservancy stop .. the tour guides were very knowledgeable and super friendly. They were very young boys/young men and very well mannered and professional. We had a great time and even booked a ride for next month!!

We had such an incredible experience with Revolution Rail Co. in Cape May! The 1.5-hour rail biking trip was absolutely amazing from start to finish. The rail bikes were comfortable and easy to pedal, and the pace was perfect for soaking in the beauty all around us. We got to see so much nature along the way—trees, birds, and even some peaceful marsh views. The guides were fantastic, sharing interesting history about the Cape May area that made the ride even more meaningful. One of my favorite parts was the short nature walk they included, which gave us a chance to stretch our legs and learn a little more about the environment up close. It was the perfect mix of adventure, relaxation, and learning. I’d highly recommend this to anyone visiting Cape May—it’s a unique experience you won’t forget!

My daughter and I booked a trip in Cape May. Even though it was a short trip, it still was good. The Historical information and nature talks were good. It was a nice cool day and we enjoyed ourselves. It was easy to pedal so no sweat involved. We are looking into NY trips in the future. Would do it again. It was a good time!!!

Super nice way to spend an afternoon! It’s very interesting how this company has made a fun use out of old railroad lines. The scenery was pretty and the tour guides provided excellent presentations about the surrounding area - historic and biological (nature). After the tour check out the quaint beach town of Cape May. Thank you.

My birthday weekend and we decided to have the whole family do the bikes at Revolution Rail Co. in Cape May, NJ. WHAT A GREAT TIME!! Our tour guides gave us a lot of history on the rails as well as on our nature walk. Highly recommend. I have bad knees and it was very easy to pedal. And we had a 2 year old with us. Fun family activity.

We had an absolutely amazing time with revolution rail! Being here on our honeymoon, we wanted to make sure we got some exciting experiences in, and I couldn’t believe how beyond our expectations this experience was. The team is so attentive, takes tons of photos, and taught us so much about the history and nature of the area, while we got a little bit of exercise in. I’ve recommended this experience to all of my family and friends coming into Cape May and will absolutely be doing it again.

Incredible!!! The guides were amazing and we learned so much while doing "something different" and seeing Cape May up close & personal. Loved learning about the birds & the railroad & the flower walk was beautiful. Had a great time!!

What a fabulous experience! I’ve seen Rev Rail Co. advertised when visiting the Jersey Shore and the Adirondacks, but never indulged until now! We went to Cape May Rev Rail Co. on a sunny weekday, and all the spots were booked (so be sure to reserve ahead of time)! Be aware this trail offers little shade, so sunscreen accordingly - my husband is fair skinned and gets sunburnt quickly, but with enough SPF we did just fine 😅 The trail is approximately 2 miles long and takes you to an old out-of-commission rail bridge, the Garrett Family Nature Preserve, and back to the Welcome Center station. Each stop was about 10-15 min long, and our tour guides offered interesting facts and information about each point. The biking itself was super easy! We were afraid our legs would be sore after the fact, but were pleasantly surprised how quickly we got the hang of it. I’m interested in visiting this site again during the fall and height of migration season - the nature preserve must be out of this world to see then! I’d definitely recommend this as an activity for almost anyone, young or old. We had a blast and will hopefully be back soon!

Turdo Vineyards & Winery in Cape May, NJ is a family-owned and operated vineyard that stands out for being powered entirely by solar energy. The grounds are beautifully landscaped with plenty of outdoor seating, making it a great spot to enjoy their primarily dry red and white wines. The small tasting room may have a wait, but visitors can grab a bottle or glass of wine and relax outside while enjoying the picturesque surroundings.
After a negative experience at one of Cape May’s most reviewed wineries (sickly sweet wine - genuinely undrinkable - and very brusque service), this place came recommended by multiple locals. The service was so friendly and knowledgeable and most importantly the wine was amazing & thoughtfully made. Also very healthy pours. This is the best winery in Cape May.
Anni C — Google review
The view was very nice. You can only do flights inside, which I didn’t like. The wine wasn’t horribly priced but I also didn’t love it. To be fair, I am not a huge wine fan. They didn’t have anything on the website that said no outside food but they had signs posted everywhere onsite. The food was outrageously priced, which I was not a fan of. The patio was very pretty and you can see the grape vines. They also had fans on the patio which made it easier to enjoy sitting outside. It was weird that you walk up to basically someone’s house. It was an okay experience.
Aimee — Google review
I love dry wines more than most things in this world and this place hit the spot! I will not disrespect any other NJ wineries as sweet vs dry is a preference but I much prefer dry wine and am over the sweet wines of NJ. I was so excited to have found Turdo! Myself and my family members loved the wine, the customer service, and the atmosphere! The only thing that leaves anything to be desired is the parking and tasting room; however, the wine more than made up for both of those. I highly recommend the Grillo, which Turdo is the only winery outside of Italy that grows that specific grape! At this to your list of places to visit while down the shore!
Brittany P — Google review
We had a very enjoyable afternoon on the patio with a bottle of wine and some cheese and crackers. It was quiet, not the hustle and bustle of some of the other wineries. Both experiences are good, depends what you are looking for. The biggest difference was the wine.
Cathy T — Google review
Might be the best winery in Cape May. Mostly dry wines…which I prefer. Every red I tried was spot on. Thought they were closing but happy to see they’re still open!!
John M — Google review
1st timer at Turdo, upon arriving, plan on parking on road across the street, or just past winery, there is parking near soccer field. Grounds are beautifully landscaped and plenty of outdoor seating. The wines are very good, primarily dry wines, both red and white. Small refrigerator filled with snacks for your visit. Tasting room is very small, upon arriving, they said it could be a 20 minute wait. Grabbing a bottle, or a glass of wine and sitting outside elimates the wait. 4 out of 5. If larger tasting room existed, I would give it a 5. Very friendly staff and very good wine!
Ron I — Google review
Very cute place. We went to drink a bottle of wine (there is a possibility of wine testing but it is exclusively indoor (that’s why we decided to buy a bottle and go outside). There is a lot of shadow area. Very good wine.
Raphaelle L — Google review
What a pleasant surprise. Tucked in just off of Bayshore Rd and just a few minutes form Cape May. It’s very small compared to some of the areas other wineries. But what they may lack in size they make up with very good wine. There are a handful of tables outside with some cheeses and other snacks you can purchase to enjoy while you are there. Well worth the visit for folks who appreciate wine.

It was amazing and so much fun. We were a group of 7, adults, older adults, celebrating a birthday. We have a great time. It was very enjoyable. We are all going to do it again and pick another one of the escape rooms to try out. We did Aunt Millie's. It was a great presentation. Our host Richard did a great job making us feel comfortable. All around a great way to spend some time with friends.

omgggg couldn’t recommend this place enough! Staff is super friendly and the rooms really rattle your brain! We weren’t even close in Frankenstein haha the Sword room is absolutely beautiful!!! We went to both locations within two days because of how fun it was!
Jessica P — Google review
We were in Cape May for vacation and went to check this out since we are new escape room junkies. The first day we ended up doing three rooms!! One of the objects wasn’t working and they had to come in and give us the clue we would have gotten. We asked for some time back since the clue didn’t work and they did. Two days later we went back and did the remaining two rooms. For a small location, the themes were well done and the puzzles were challenging. The employees were nice and helpful. We found Cape Inn to be the hardest. We enjoyed this location. We did all rooms with two people.

During Memorial Day weekend, we were able to squeeze in Aunt Millie's Condo, the original/first escape room at Escape Room Cape May and finished with the third best time EVER for the game at 37:48 (and only asked for one clue), out of over 1200 attempts by other teams our family is now 3-0, and our best time so far! Such a fun time, and well-done, too.

We had an amazing time at Escape Cape May! Our entire family, including my 5-year-old son, had a blast. The suggested room, Aunt Millie's Condo, was perfect for all ages, and although my son was able to participate, it was still challenging for the teenagers and adults. There were so many elements in the room that everyone got a chance to be involved and contribute to solving the puzzles. Well worth the money – highly recommended for a fun family outing!
Sarah D — Google review
Tara was a huge help in selecting the perfect room for my family! We had 3 kids and 3 adults and the booking, flexibility, and responsiveness of Tara and her staff made it an even better experience than we could have hoped for! The room was the perfect level of challenge for the kids (the adults too at times!!). We’ll be back next summer!
Becky O — Google review
Great experience with 4 people. It was the first time doing an escape room for each of us, and it was a helluva lot of fun. It was engaging, took some real observation skills and problem solving, but not anything too crazy or obscure. We started with one of their two most difficult rooms, and so it definitely wasn't easy, but we enjoyed it nonetheless. Our Game Master was also really helpful and informative before and after the game, and you can tell they are really into making the games as good as possible here. One item was a little worn down, which could've affected one of the puzzles, but luckily it did not for us - that was the only (extremely minor) flaw in the whole thing. Would/will definitely plan on coming back again.

Easygoing bayfront beach with views of the ferry dock, pet-friendly access & a serene vibe.
Sunset beach was packed so we drove off the beaten path and found Higbee. Hidden gem!!! Quiet, peaceful, cute dogs, softer beach with less rocks. Only issue is the bathroom is by the parking lot which is a few minutes away from the beach, down a little mini hike path.

After a day a boozing it up with Perrier water and Natural Steak treats I approve of this place. Plenty of spots to poop and pee. Excellent place to dig holes in the sand and the “Hoomans” can stay there watching me and catering to my dog needs. I did require a cabana tent , umbrella, beach towel and plenty of water. Bring your Hooman servants they can enjoy it. No cats please it’s not that type of a beach.

Gorgeous free beach with free parking. No lifeguards. Clean. Quiet. Beautiful. Soft sand with beautiful pebbles and rocks that wash in with the waves. Small waves - no major rip curls or undertow. Dog friendly. Drinking friendly. Kite friendly. Fishing friendly. My new go to! Conveniently located 2 hours from Philadelphia.
Nicole H — Google review
Love that you can drive right up. Pet friendly. First look it beautiful. Open sky and blue water, hot white sand and beautiful rock structure but then as you get closer to the water the sand becomes very pebbley and even worse there was dead horseshoe crabs everywhere. There was dozens of them from high tide and as we watched the water roll in and out (we were there around 2pm) there must have been another 2 dozen that washed up. Its was extremely hot with no breeze so we wanted to put our toes in the water and there was just random horseshoe crab body parts everywhere. Being that we were on vacation and made plans to go to this beach we decide to make the best of it. We put down our beach towels and sat down. Within minutes i was being bite by some sort of insect that was literally leaving drops of blood dripping down my leg. Needless to say we didnt stay long. Beautiful but Very disappointing.

Best beach to take 🍄 on and randomly see some average guy drop his cloths and jump into the very shallow water, only to jump back out dress and walk back to his car... Maybe he was on something or maybe this beach is still all about free will.

The fishermen are ruining the pond. Trash, broken lines, hooks, cigarette and weed buts etc. sprinkled all over. The groundsman, who is sometimes visible with his annoyed scowl on his forehead, does absolutely nothing in regards to cleanup or enforcing the rules. It's a great area to walk around, but if you're bringing your dog, be wary of the debris on the ground.
