Park
Nature & Parks
Newmarket's Riverwalk Commons is a vibrant recreational area that serves as the heart of the community. It features a seasonal splash pool and ice skating rink, making it an ideal spot for families and individuals to enjoy outdoor activities throughout the year. The park is surrounded by bustling shops and restaurants, offering convenience and entertainment for visitors.
Beautiful place for an after dinner walk on main st Newmarket! Easily a go to spot for a walk anytime of day. The area is clean and most importantly safe. The area includes a beautiful water feature where children can cool off in the summer or skate on in the winter. My favourite part of this area is the farmers market on Saturdays.
Francesco F — Google review
A beautiful walkway with trees covered with lights, which makes it a wonderful place to take pictures at night. We were coming back from a New Year’s Eve party, and when we drove by Newmarket Riverwalk comments, everyone wanted to go walk and take pictures. And that’s what we exactly did in the first hours of 2024
Veria H — Google review
Riverwalk Commons is truly within the heart of Newmarket. Live concerts, outdoor theatre/movie nights, farmers markets… there’s always something happening. On a day when it’s quieter in the area, there is a beautiful, looping trail that goes around the pond in Fairy Lake. It’s accessible for wheelchair and other various mobility devices to utilize year-round, and even in the winter, the paved path seems to be fairly well-kept and clear of snow and debris. In the summer, there’s a clean and open-access splash pad that’s always bustling with activity. There’s a ramp leading into the water, which is perfect for young children or those using mobility aids. In the winter, it’s turned into a skating rink that’s maintained by the town throughout the day and they (may) have support bars available for those less confident in their skating skills. Along Riverwalk Commons, there are tons of small shops and local businesses within walking distance. Walk 500 metres to Main Street and you’ll find a wide variety of restaurants, some offering live music on certain nights. Like many small town Main Streets, it’s family-friendly and bustling with events and activities during the day, although it’s important to travel in pairs and in well-lit areas at night, especially if you’re taking advantage of the various late-night restaurants and local bars. The older buildings are well-maintained and some have been turned into historic sites to learn more about the rich history of the Newmarket area. There are tons of hidden gems and no matter how many times you visit, there’s always something new to discover.
Kai F — Google review
A great place to walk around and enjoy. It is very next to the Newmarket's Mainstreet, which was part of the first settlement in the area. Several good restaurants, cafes, and bars are on Mainstreet.
Ravindran P — Google review
They have really done a great job at the Riverwalk Commons and children had a lot of fun playing in the Splash pad. We went to the music in the park from 7 to 9pm and it was a blast. Great music in spite of the rain.
Deanne K — Google review
Great place to wander around and easy pathways. There’s a wading pool with change rooms, paved path around the Fairy Lake to stroll around, children’s playground and plenty of free parking.
Emily L — Google review
Amazing place to walk and have a great time with family... it is really huge and so much greenery.. my great idea of spending a Saturday after noon
Angelina H — Google review
Imagine walk beside the river and after that you will find yourself in hearth of Newmarket downtown with several good restaurants and bars also there is a great community which has a lot of fun programs such as music festivals and place for kids to play (technically it is water playground)

It’s free. The employees are friendly. Now the museum is decorated with Easter. It is very suited for kids; they offer some classes for kids👍

I don’t think I could put into words how wonderful this place is. It is the heart of Newmarket in every way. The staff are quite possibly the kindest and smartest people I know. We take our son to the themed classes offered and they are incredible. Every detail is carefully thought out from the activities to the crafts to the snack to the learning. I, myself, have learned so much about Newmarket. I recommend this place for anyone aged 1-99. It has so much to offer and is a refreshing change from the usual. Special shoutout to Tori and Reno for always making us feel at home! Thank you to all of you!!!

Great little place. Considering their size I didn’t expect much but it’s a great suppose seeing how much they have, and how well displays are set up. Really enjoyed the D-Day section, many artifacts well displayed and put together well

Farmers' market
Market
The Newmarket Farmers Market is a popular attraction in Ontario, known for its homegrown and organic products. Held every Saturday from early May to late October at Riverwalk Commons, the market offers farm fresh produce, meats, breads, and more. Visitors can also enjoy food vendors and live music while taking in the vibrant atmosphere. The diverse range of goods reflects a sense of community and features unique individuals offering handmade and homemade items with flavor and personality.
On our bike ride today we checked in to Mulberry’s Oven at the Newmarket farmers market. The pizza was delicious. This is not our first time having pizza while on a bicycle ride to Newmarket from Aurora. One of the reasons we keep going back aside from the delicious thin crust. Pizza is their kindness to us when we didn’t have enough money on a previous trip for a cold drink. They gave it to us complementary. I will continue to return based on that fact, alone. Today we met the owner, Tim McClure.
Roger C — Google review
Such a fun and vibrant place! The Newmarket Farmers’ Market is full of life, friendly people, and an amazing variety of fresh fruits and vegetables. Everything looked so fresh and colorful—it was a joy just walking around! You can really feel the community spirit. I’ll definitely be going back for more local goodies and good vibes!
Sepideh A — Google review
The farmers market at Newmarket Riverwalk Commons, open every Saturday from 8am to 1pm during the summer months, is a must-see site for visitors to the area. Local farmers offer their produce at various stalls at the market at economical prices. Visitors also get a chance to enjoy food there. Live music adds to the fun atmosphere.
Ravindran P — Google review
Overrated and overcrowded. Given the hordes of people who squeeze into the little piece of real estate beside the splash pad on Saturdays, you’d think it was the first farmers market to ever exist. Come for the overpriced muffins and produce, stay for the half-dead plants. The one redeeming quality is the outdoor pizza oven serving reasonably priced pies. Go to Aurora for a better experience and more reasonably priced options.
Anthony L — Google review
Love this farmer's market and it's a must visit place for our family during summer time. Recommended: Crepe - Niagara peach, smoked salmon Pizza Honey Fresh herbs and vegetables
A J — Google review
Diverse, delicious, fresh, and fun: the people at the stalls unique and interesting individuals who repay more than a moment's conversation; a sense of community; handmade and homemade goods that have flavour and personality.
Judy A — Google review
Stop moral kidnapping using "Support local" or "Support Canada" while tried to sell us the green sour taste berries and nonflavor peach with overprice. I support you farm producers, who supports us? Sick of such marketing scam!!!
FEA — Google review
Over priced I thought buying from a local farmer would be cheaper than grocery store Peaches $17 I don’t want to buy the whole tree… Totally disappointed

The park features a playground, picnic pavilions, and well-maintained walking paths that offer stunning views of the lake and a charming small waterfall. Visitors can enjoy scenic bridge crossings and interactive activities for all ages. The lush greenery and towering trees along the trail create a tranquil setting for leisurely strolls or jogging, providing ample shade on sunny days.
The park is beautiful, and there is a great trail that crosses the lake across the park. The park is also a great place for you to walk your dog. There is also a nice little playground in the park that your kids will enjoy. Additionally, there are a few spots where you can enjoy a picnic in the park.
Harshit S — Google review
I love this park. You have it all. It has a beautiful trail along Holland River. Park is specious and you can picnic. It’s great for kids. Great for walking pets. It’s great to spend time with friends and family there. It’s also beside Main Street in Newmarket so you have access to all amazing coffee shops, restaurants and stores. There always some kind of an event happening there during summer. This park has it all. Picnic area, trails, playground, river, restaurants, coffee shops and more

Its a very beautiful park. Just next to downtown. The trees, tracks everything is super nice. Cyclist track is also there. Autumn season colors are the best here.

2022 October 4★ Fairly lake park runs along the river and as such, has multiple bridge crossings. The park is part of the Tom Taylor Trail which runs about 7 or 8 kilometres North to South. Within the park, you'll come across gazebos, benches and Kilometre Trail Markers. Free Parking within the park or along the side streets. A playground nearby.
K W — Google review
It was early December and it was overcast. It was not busy on a weekday Friday. Went along the east side of the lake, continued after the first bridge, to the boardwalk. Crossed the second bridge, then came back from the west side of the lake. The loop was pretty short and easy.
Patrick X — Google review
Also known as Wesley Brooks Conservation Area is a great place for everyone. However, need to be careful of the cyclists as a lot of them are just going way too fast even though the paths are so supposed to be shared with everyone. Yet I had to pull my kids over many times because they don't even slow down or stop even for little kids. Some don't even give warnings that they are coming. Still the kids enjoyed the boardwalk and the playground.
Jonathan Y — Google review
A big lake park with so much greenery and biking space. You get to see Canada goose and their poop ( be careful not to stamp on) all around you. Fortunately we saw the Beaver hanging around the pool that connects the two sides of the park. Play zone is quite beautiful.
Positive H — Google review
Beautifully manicured and a trail big enough for walking, biking and other summer activities. There is a lot of wild life around and tree coverage. It's a beautiful spot to walk - dog friendly as well!

This is a really great facility, however I do wish the cleanliness was more of a priority. It’s super annoying that we can barely see through the window while watching our daughter on the ice. The washrooms are also frequently not tidy.
Cristiana M — Google review
Attended the Junior Canada Cup 2025. It holds a memorable event inside my family. THANK YOU!
William Y — Google review
Magna Centre is a fantastic all-in-one spot for everything from public swimming to ice sports and fitness - the 25-metre pool and a smaller learning pool are both great for laps or just a casual dip, and the gym has the essentials without feeling overwhelming. The walking track is perfect for a quick cardio boost and the three NHL-sized rinks and a gymnasium mean there’s always something happening. Super convenient parking and easy to access. Great place whether you’re planning a swim, a skate, or just some mid-day exercise.
Mike B — Google review
Beautiful facility with great ice. Unfortunately, the adult skating drop-in sessions ruined it for me. The rules clearly state that the centre of the ice is reserved for beginners to practice, and that figure skating is not permitted during this time. We have been about 10 times and every time there was always figure skaters spinning and jumping, primarily in the centre but also disrupting the people who skate around the perimeter. They treat this time as if it’s free ticket ice without respect for others. There is no Marshall like in the regular public skate to enforce the rules so they are there nearly every day. When they inevitably cause a crash someday, I hope the facility/town is prepared to be held accountable since there is no effort to maintain the safety rules they state. Additionally, there is no proof of payment required for adult skating drop-in (regular public skate requires a wrist band issued by customer service). Just about everyone out there simply walk in and head straight to the ice without paying admission, so just mooching off the facility and then they complain that it’s not well maintained.
Jenny G — Google review
Honestly I wish i can rate this 0 stars but that's not a option the swimming instructors do not care and I would also dread the days where they announced to you if you passed or not thease people were all the time not passing me and passing other people to the next level and mind you I was literally copying and doing the same moves of the people in my level and doing it exactly like they were and guess what they passed and I didn't like make that make sense half of the instructors there told me try 1 more time when it was the day to like announced if you passed and I did "1 more times" 6 times honestly I would highly suggest you or your daughter or your son to stop going there and the water is very cold there and you your kid could get sick way more easily beacuse of the cold water, when you also go public swimming you have to get this bracelet to swim there alone and they except you to onl BREATH 2 TIMES from the deep end all the way to the front like how is anyone going to pass that? and if you can't do that than you can't swim alone. Honestly the worst place I've ever been to
Alex — Google review
I usually enjoy working out at the Magna Centre, but the cleanliness of the fitness area has really gone down. The floors, fans, and weight area don’t seem to be cleaned regularly. We have to touch the floor during some exercises, and you can clearly see dust and footprints from outdoor shoes. Some people wear their outdoor shoes inside, even though they could leave them at the entrance. The black flooring hides some dirt, but the dust and footprints are still very noticeable—it gives the impression that cleaning isn’t a priority. The same issue can be seen on the stairs as well. I’ve already mentioned this to customer service, but the area is still not clean. I really hope the management pays attention to this, as the facility itself is great but needs better maintenance.

They refused to make an exception. Ask for the name of the store manager and was told that I can't have it. Referred me to concierge. I told them I can't get through for days now. They said they they respond within 24 hours.I told them I contacted them more than 24 hours ago. They told me they're backed up. One BS answer after another. How do these people stay in business?

I’m sure many can agree it is a beautiful park all in all but for being such a nice dog park I feel it should get some lights on timers for at night to illuminate the dog parks only when being used at night , also the trail on the east of bayview park way would be nice with some lights also on the walking trail from Patterson and red deer other than that it’s my childhood park of now 34 years and it only gets nicer as the years go :)

Wonderful park with plenty of space and a few looping paths to walk along. A great place to visit any time of year! During the summer there are often plays, markets and artisan festivals that are alot of fun. The main path through the park is paved so strollers, bikes, wheelchairs and roller blades have no issue!

Saw a small snake as soon as we got there, cute little thing. The colours were amazing and great for photographers. The walk around the lake is short but beautiful. There's washrooms, food, lots of people when we went. There was also plenty of parking even though it seemed that there was a lot of people. Places to sit along your walk as well.

Takeout Restaurant
The Maids Cottage is a charming, family-owned stop that offers a delightful selection of tea, coffee, and delectable butter tarts. While renowned for their award-winning butter tarts, this cozy establishment also serves up a variety of mouthwatering breakfast and lunch options for takeout. The warm aroma of freshly baked goods welcomes visitors as they enter the inviting bakery on Main Street in Newmarket.
Truly the best butter tart! The crust is fantastic and not an afterthought, this is what sets it apart from other tarts. So many options, and all great buy my top favourite is the Apple Buttertart.

There's not much to say that hasn't already been said. The pecan and carrot cake tarts were delicious, but the star of the show was clearly the old fashioned plain. With an amazing crust and gooey interior, it's the perfect butter tart. It's delicate, but still holds together well. Just phenomenal. Can't wait to come back and try other flavors and goodies. The staff are also incredibly friendly.
Stan — Google review
Apparently everyone in Newmarket and beyond is aware of the deliciousness that are these award-winning butter tarts. I almost feel embarrassed for never having heard of them, as I pride myself on being a butter tart connoisseur. We got the pecan tart, and the tart bits…that’s right “tart bits” as in the pieces of the tarts that are normally discarded during the making of the butter tarts but are extra sweet and delicious and are, debatably, the best part of the butter tart!
Robyn D — Google review
We recently spent a couple of nights in Newmarket, and trying these butter tarts was high on my list—they’ve been on my radar for a while, and I’m so glad we finally made it. They totally lived up to the hype! They have an awesome selection of flavours, and we grabbed a half dozen to try. Salted caramel and the original were my top picks, but honestly, they were all so good. We also tried their new butter tart cookie, and it was ridiculously delicious. We grabbed some takeout breakfast too and brought it back to the hotel—it hit the spot and was just as good as everything else. It’s easy to see why this place has been voted Ontario’s best butter tarts. If you haven’t been yet, you’re seriously missing out.

I got many kinds of butter tarts: Plane, Black Forest mocha, Pecan chocolate chips coconut, and Biscoff. My favorite is Black Forest :) all of these are great taste tho❤️ I absolutely agree why they got awards so many times🤩 I definitely come back this place when I visit to Newmarket.

This place did not disappoint! They had tons of butter tarts to choose from. We grabbed breakfast and an about a dozen tarts. It’s a quiet little place on the inside and they have a little patio out front where tourists can eat. Would for sure recommend!

Nestled in the heart of Newmarket, the Grey Goat Pub & Grill is a charming tavern that perfectly blends history with a lively atmosphere. Originally built as a funeral home in 1865, this pub has earned its reputation not only for its delicious pub grub and extensive beer selection but also for being one of Ontario's most haunted spots. Guests can enjoy live music on weekends while savoring their meals on an airy outdoor patio, which offers a peaceful retreat from the bustling Main Street.
Phenomenal service consistently. The karaoke nights are the best in town, the energy is top notch, and the food is fantastic. Consistently come back just to see Lauren and Bella! All of the bartenders are amazing, and can turn your night around in an instant. Plus, the regulars are some of the friendliest people in town.

Full disclosure Im originally from Newmarket (74'-87) this and The 4seasons are the only restaurants (that i am aware of ) that are still running from that time. So I do come for the nostalgia. But biais aside.... It is a wonderful pub. There's a variety of selection of food, a good selection of ice cold beers and service that is warm and friendly. The Grey Goat has lasted this long because it is dependable that you will happily fed with great service. When in Newmarket stop in for a pint and bite...you won't be disappointed

It’s looked like a really cool place from the outside. Inside it was quite the opposite. I ordered my food and was waiting for almost half an hour before I approached the waitress and asked her will it be much longer. I saw by her face they forgot to ring in my order. They quickly corrected the mistake. Once I received my food I realized it was all frozen. Nothing fresh and nothing made from scratch. One of the worst meals I’ve ever had.

This place during the day is great. Quiet and lots of seating with no hassle. Its got a bit of a bad rep at night on weekends which is too bad. Its two floors and the folks that work there want to change things. My kids had no issues.

Rogers Reservoir Conservation Area is a great spot for a relaxing walk or bike ride. The trails are well-maintained and offer a mix of shaded paths and scenic bridges. I loved spotting different birds and flowers along the way, and the reservoir adds a calming touch to the experience. The walk is stroller-friendly, though some areas are a bit bumpy. It’s perfect for families, nature lovers, or anyone looking to unwind.

Such a nice trail and the new boardwalks along the old abandoned locks look amazing. The trail is on both sides of the river, so you may miss one of the trails (beside the golf course if you're not looking for it.) Definitely worth the bike ride or walk.

It’s a very nice and quiet trail, great for bikes or walking. Here you can spot different kinds of flowers, birds and bugs. We only went up to the bridge, it was too hot to keep going. I believe it’s a long trail, since it’s a big conservation area. There is a small parking lot available from Green Lane.

Spacious conservation park, perfect for cycling and walking, beautiful boardwalk bridge. The whole loop is little tough for a small kids and seniors. Big parking lot.

Welcome to the shire. These photos will never do this magical place justice. Follow the nokiida bike trail over the long curving boardwalk through a vibrant field, and you'll find an abandoned dam that people climb on, some go to fish, some bring their dates. Keep riding through the winding forest, and see the stream peeking out through the trees. Finally you head out to rolling hills with quaint houses looking down at you. The water reflects the trees and flowers, while birds and butterflies pass you by. You feel like you're in another country. Perhaps you've even entered a different story from the life you were living. What a sweet escape!

Shane and Josh, long-time friends and entrepreneurs, had a vision to create a community hub that offered both a welcoming environment for people to connect with loved ones and friends, as well as produce high-quality beer on site. With the addition of award-winning brewer Ethan Allured, who relocated to join their endeavor, the trio established the Market Brewing Company. This brewery is known for its accommodating nature and inclusivity, providing an enjoyable experience for all guests.
We recently discovered that Market Brewing Company is only 5 minutes from our house, and decided to check it out for a date night—especially after hearing they’re licensed to host bingo nights. Safe to say, we were not disappointed! We even won the first round of bingo and got a free drink voucher ! The atmosphere was fantastic—laid-back, welcoming, and full of good vibes. Bill, who ran the bingo night, was absolutely hilarious and incredibly relatable. It honestly felt like we’d known him for years, and he made the whole experience even more memorable. The drinks were top-notch, with a great variety to choose from, and the BBQ pulled pork sandwiches hit the spot—tender, flavourful, and just the right amount of smoky goodness. This was our first visit, but it definitely won’t be our last. We’re already planning to make Thursday bingo nights a regular thing, and we can’t wait to come back in the summer for more drinks on the patio. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a chill night out with great food, drinks, and fun company!

Visited Market for the first time today. I enjoyed the beer I tried, though I only tried two so I can’t comment on consistency. Assuming the other selections are as good as what I had, combined with a good vibe of the space, i would absolutely recommend a visit. The live music they had was very good and not too loud so we were able to have a nice conversation despite being near to the stage. I’ll definitely be back and I suspect Market will be a frequent go to.

We had our wedding reception at Market Brewing and it was absolutely perfect! From the moment we started planning, Bill was incredible to work with—communicative, organized, and clearly committed to making sure everything went smoothly. Although we originally planned for around 110 guests, about 80 were able to attend, and the space was just right for a relaxed and fun evening. Bill double-checked every detail with us throughout the planning process, giving us total peace of mind. On the day of, both Bill and Katie were serving, and they were nothing short of exceptional. They checked in on us just the right amount, and even took note when some guests were feeling chilly—Bill kindly suggested adjusting the door to keep the space comfortable. It’s that kind of thoughtful attention that made the night feel so special. The service was lightning fast—no lineups at the bar—and the environment was exactly what we had hoped for: casual, fun, and welcoming. One of the highlights of the night was getting all of our guests on the dance floor for some line dancing—and there was plenty of space for everyone to join in and have a great time! We brought in Avanti for catering, and they worked seamlessly with the brewery team. Guests raved about the beer, the warm and friendly service, and how great both Katie and Bill were throughout the night. The whole experience was completely stress-free, and we’re so grateful to Market Brewing for being so easy to work with. We truly couldn’t have asked for a better venue to celebrate our day. Thank you for helping make our wedding unforgettable! - Alex and Caitlin

What a night! We had an incredible time providing DJ services at a wedding hosted at Market Brewing Co., and a huge part of the magic was thanks to Bill, the owner, manager, and Trivia Guru! Seriously, not a dry eye in the audience! The energy in the room was electric, and not being a traditional wedding venue, the vibe was simultaneously laid-back AND buzzing! Bill set the tone for a night full of laughter, connection, unforgettable moments, and that in house beer is nectar of the Gods! We’d come back in a heartbeat.

From start to finish, the team was incredibly helpful and accommodating. Bill was phenomenal to work with. He was responsive, organized, and truly went above and beyond to make sure everything went smoothly. The staff on the day of our wedding were fantastic, and we received so many compliments from our guests about the amazing service and the outstanding drink selection. The venue itself is beautiful and versatile—perfect for making it your own. We can’t thank Market Brewing Co enough for helping make our day so memorable!

Market is a lovely brewery in Newmarket. There's lots of space inside and out, so large groups can be easily accomdated for. But I would probably check ahead for reservations. There is lots of beer on tap, with different varieties to suit all tastes. They also have hard seltzers for those who do not wish to have beer. I would say Bear Hug was my personal choice, but I wasn't upset with any choice. Sam was our server and she was great. Very friendly and attentive and it was busy on the Sunday I was there but she never a beat. No food on hand apart from snacks. Lots of outside parking in their lot, which is nice.

The Mabel Davis Conservation Area boasts an impressive trail, which has earned high praise for its exceptional quality and cleanliness. Its family-friendly atmosphere offers ample parking space and various recreational amenities for children, including swings, slides, and plenty of open green spaces to frolic in.

Stellar Lanes is a fantastic glow-in-the-dark bowling alley with retro vibes, making it a great spot for families and anyone looking for a throwback hangout. The place is well-maintained, and the staff are friendly and helpful. It's also an excellent choice for birthday celebrations. However, booking in advance online is recommended as reaching them by phone can be challenging.
Such a fun, locally-owned, and run, establishment. Great for a fun day or evening out with some friends people of all ages. Such an energetic environment with nice people who own and operate it as a family. Both five pin and 10 pin available. Easy to book online. Various times available for play. Also, Line’s available for gutter blockers for kids who are learning to bowl. Fun and engaging screens with visuals as you bowl. Shoes are new and clean and the guys are always busy keeping things looking really sharp, welcoming and clean, which is big. Love coming here— should probably come more often so I can improve my score though lol Keep it up !

Stellar Lanes Just Leveled Up! I hadn’t been in a while, but wow — the renovations at Stellar Lanes in Newmarket are seriously impressive. The whole place looks fresh, modern, and way more inviting. From the upgraded lanes and seating to the lighting and lounge areas, it’s clear they put real effort into the refresh. It still has that fun, family-friendly vibe, but now with a much more polished, updated feel. Whether you’re bowling with friends or hosting a party, this is easily one of the best spots around. Great job, Stellar team!

Extreme dissatisfaction with the poor service I received while attempting to book a birthday party for my child at this facility. I had initially planned a party for only six 5-year-old children. Given their young age, it was absolutely necessary for parents to be present—drop-off and pick-up were not an option. To accommodate this, I respectfully requested an additional lane separate from the party lane. I made it clear that I did not require another party package at the same price; I simply needed a regular lane for the adults to play separately. However, the female staff member I spoke with was uncooperative and inflexible. She repeatedly cited company policy in a dismissive manner and insisted that I must book another party package lane alongside the original one. She was very impolite, unwilling to listen, and showed a complete lack of problem-solving ability. Her attitude was condescending and unhelpful. Not recommend this place for children birthday party.

Bowling lanes are great and the customer service is fantastic. My issue here is the price, it cost us $80 an hour to bowl which is extremely high. The food is also incredibly pricey and it is not worth the price. I would love to give a better review here but the pricing is unacceptable. Also they need to do a better job of separating birthday parties from regular bowlers. People don't keep an eye on their kids and they get in the way of everybody else.
Steven G — Google review
Had an excellent time here! Was super busy on a Friday night, all types of people from teens up to older adults. We had a large group of 12 plus some spectators and we all enjoyed our time whether bowling or not. Food and drinks were reasonably priced and pretty tasty, lots of selection. Bowling lanes are modern and well-kept. The seating areas are very conducive to hanging with friends and the technology for keeping score was very modern but easy to use. The staff were awesome, super friendly and helpful! I think anyone who has commented on poor service may not have given the staff the respect that they deserved because I found them to be nothing but genuine and friendly. Overall a wonderful time here for a night out with friends. I will definitely be a return customer!

Nokiidaa Trail is a beloved destination in the region, offering a serene and picturesque escape into nature. The trail boasts an abundance of natural beauty, including lush greenery, diverse terrain, and opportunities to spot wildlife such as beavers, ducks, and various bird species. Visitors can enjoy leisurely walks or bike rides along the trail, with the option to extend the journey beyond 2nd Concession road. The trail's scenic features are particularly enchanting during the fall and winter seasons.
My family and I recently explored the Nokidaa Trail, and it was a fantastic experience. The trail is perfect for walking, strolling, or biking, with a smooth, well-maintained surface that's comfortable for all types of outings. The scenery along the trail is beautiful, making it a peaceful escape from daily life. Whether you're looking for a leisurely walk or a more active biking session, this trail has it all. We highly recommend Nokidaa Trail to anyone looking for a great outdoor adventure!
VL — Google review
Excellent walking trail, has a paved or gravel section that's well maintained. However, the best parts are the dirt trails that branch off from the main trail, especially after Green Lane and before reaching Holland Landing. The forest is full of small trails that are easy to navigate and much more natural and relaxing. There's even a stunt area for bikers that has been around for ages, built up by generations of youth - worth checking out if only just to see it because it's pretty cool, though use at your own risk. Highly recommend exploring these trails on a sunny day. Just don't leave any trash behind.
Spencer — Google review
This is the Northern end of the trail. Some of the trail is paved, some is just compacted earth. This area is absolutely stunningly beautiful! The trail runs parallel to the East Holland River. It's not a huge river, but it's plenty interesting. Lots of waterfowl. There are a number of overlooks and areas with super comfortable metal benches. No washrooms, except at the parking lot at Yonge and Mt. Albert there are a couple of Port-a-Pottys. This area of York & Simcoe counties is really beautiful, lush forests, a bubbling river with lots of streams feeding it. It's a bird watchers paradise! So much wildlife to enjoy! And there is "Trainspotting" too...

I recently explored the Nokiidaa Trail and it was a refreshing experience overall. The trail is well-maintained, mostly flat, and perfect for walking or light biking. However, I went on a hot sunny day (around 35°C), and that made it a bit exhausting. If you’re visiting in the summer, go early in the morning or later in the evening. Great trail for families, solo walks, or anyone looking to disconnect from city life for a while. I’ll definitely return—but next time, I’ll avoid the peak heat!

We decided to go to the Aurora arboretum and somehow got confused with how big it actually is and ended up here! It was beautiful! Perfect spot to hike with your dog! A lot of people were cycling perhaps to finish the whole trail. There are multiple parking spots for this trail. Using the All trails app definitely helps to track where you are, where you could be heading etc. Not many picnic spots. Hope to visit the actual Aurora arboretum next time. Not sure why every trail around here states it’s a part of the arboretum. Perhaps everything is connected? Need to explore to find out!

Grateful for biking or walking. It features a variety of trail types including concrete, gravel or even Bridges. There aren't many difficult parts of this trail which makes it ideal to bring kids or elderly. Great trail! If you want to bike long distances, this trail has many parts that connect to other trails or even stores.

This trail is awesome. Long enough for approximately 30 minutes walk to reach 2nd Concession road and it continues beyond it. There is a beautiful river just along the trail. There is a big parking lot in Yonge St. and Mt. Albert Rd just in the corner. Wildlife is must to see. Beaver 🦫 and ducks 🦆 and birds can be spotted easily.

Public swimming pool
Gorman Pool is a popular outdoor community pool that offers a beach entry and is heated for comfort during the summer months. It hosts an annual "pooch plunge" in September, allowing people to bring their dogs for a swim. While the change rooms and washrooms may need some improvement, the pool provides free parking, although it can get busy at times.
Theres a newbarket event that happens every year here at the beginning of September and we go every year! My dog loves the pooch plunge which is at this pool. The pool is open to all dogs with a $5 per dog entrance fee and they can swim/run in and around the pool for as long as they please. This is the only time my dog swims since the creek near my area shut down and he loves it! We'll be visiting every year without fail!
Melissa A — Google review
We loved this pool, but their maintenance is horrible. They kept closing the pool each hour for an hour long, and all the lifeguards would go inside, seemed as if to “cool off” from the heat. Never had issues last year, but this year very disappointed. Basically spent the entire day waiting for them to reopen the pool. Reasoning “safety: they can’t see if someone will drown on the deep end” but come on, could have at least let the kids splash on the shallow end…. Ridiculous.
Olya Y — Google review
I came here the last week before the summer schedule was done. My daughter is a great swimmer but I had to keep her at arms length the front desk wasn’t able to explain to me that I can have her tested for their records and immediately told me it can’t be done due to her age. Upon entering the pool I asked the life guard who without a hesitation asked someone to come out and assess my daughter’s swimming ability and passed her and updated their records. I will definitely be back next year
Muskhan J — Google review
Awesome and cheap it costed $16 for 5 people to swim the lifeguards are hot it gets a bit busy so id suggest bringing something to block out the sunlight if its really hot out. it feels about the size of a typical outdoor pool so just be considerate of others. I wouldnt suggest bringing pool floaties either 1 you get in the way of others 2 others get in your way and 3 when you arent using them the lifeguards are there to watch over yours and your kids lives not your stuff. So its essentially pointless to bring too much

Pioneer Burying Ground, established in the early 1800s by St. Paul's Church, is among the earliest cemeteries in the area. It serves as the final resting place for over 120 of Newmarket's earliest settlers, including notable figures like William Roe and Dr. Christopher Beswick.
Sad.

This cemetery opened as a non denomination cemetery in 1820. It holds a lot of the founders of Newmarket, some are listed on a metal plaque at the entrance. Due to disrepair, the stones were placed on two double sided triangular cairns. There is also a cross with a stone plaque remembering those who were buried nameless.

The cabernet style theatre in the legion hall worked well for the female version of the Odd Couple except for those sitting near the door. It was difficult to hear,. Note to self, go earlier.

Mexican restaurant
Nestled in the vibrant heart of Main Street Newmarket, Made In Mexico is a delightful haven for lovers of traditional Mexican cuisine. This relaxed eatery offers an array of mouthwatering dishes, including burritos, enchiladas, and tacos that transport your taste buds straight to Zihuatanejo. The passion for authentic flavors shines through every dish, thanks to its founder Fernando Bravo's deep-rooted love for his homeland's culinary traditions.
Great place for authentic Mexican food, tacos were incredible, would recommend the fish! Beef was good too. Atmosphere is quaint with a lot of Mexican touches. Indoor/outdoor seating available, in addition to a bar. Park at the back of the building, you can walk to the restaurant up the side of the building directly from the lot.

We’ve been looking forward to trying Made in Mexico after so many great reviews and an endorsement from Gotta Eat Here. Loved the decor, atmosphere and music! Staff were very friendly and welcoming and we immediately felt transported to Mexico. Very cosy place, super busy for a Thursday night dinner. The food was beautifully presented, well portioned, and reasonably priced, but unfortunately it went downhill from there. Every dish we tried was seriously lacking in authentic Mexican seasoning. The soup and refried beans were bland. The side sauces were watery and also lacked any real flavour. Now on to the main courses: -The beef Street Tacos had no seasoning and my son didn’t even eat them. -The Pork Carnitas Quesadillas had a very mush consistency as though the pork had been boiled, and again completely lacking flavour. - The Tacos “Al Pastor” were very oily and lacking seasoning so much that the only flavour that stood out were the fresh onions and pineapple. So disappointed for a place that claims to be authentically Mexican. We’re going back to our other favourite local Mexican restaurant as there is simply no comparison in taste.

The food is always good. You never leave hungry. Portion sizes are way more than enough. We always leave with leftovers as per our pictures. So much selection for drinks. Great value. Made the mistake of trying Ghost Taco the night prior to this. Their potion sizes were ridiculously small and the food was no where near as good.

Quite renowned and lovely restaurant with Pub on Newmarket's historic Main Street. It's always busy full of local crowd. The food quality are always good with decent price. The staff are friendly. Large space makes it an ideal place for family and friends gatherings.

Absolutely in love with this place!!! How come we’ve never been here before? It’s a MUST!!! We will be bringing all our friends here. Nice atmosphere, great service, food is DELICIOUS and portions are more than fair for the price. Brought our 4 yo with her and she loved the food (she’s super picky!).. kids meal only $4.95 too, it’s crazy!

We came here for my husband’s birthday lunch, and it was an amazing experience! The food was full of flavor, with every dish bursting with authentic Mexican spices and freshness. The service was outstanding, friendly and attentive staff who made us feel so welcome. Our food arrived quickly, and the atmosphere was fantastic, truly making us feel like we were in an authentic Mexican spot. What made the lunch even more special was that the staff surprised us by singing a traditional Mexican birthday song for my husband, it was such a fun and thoughtful touch! We truly appreciated the warm hospitality and can’t wait to come back. Highly recommend this place!

Fine dining service experience. The waiter and waitress paid attention to all details. They were friendly as well which added to the experience. Food at Cynthia’s is always excellent and a go to spot for tasty Chinese food - Large portions too. We got the general Tao chicken and spicy beef dish. Don’t forget to add your side of steamed rice.

Authentic Chinese Fine dining restaurant. Artistically decorated. Clean and fresh. Music was pleasant. Atmosphere was quiet and relaxing. Server was very polite, quick and attentive. Food portions were good and fairly priced considering it’s fine dining. Fried rice was superb. Rest was ok. Dining experience was amazing!

Overpriced food. Two small bowls soups, $8.5 each. Slow ,,, I mean very slow. They kept pumping out takeout orders…. We Dine in and we just wait and wait. waste of money and time. Took them 40 minutes to cook noodles……. And it’s not busy when we went. Including us only 3 tables…. With using carpets from the floor to the ceiling. All we want is leave cuz our noses can’t handle the dust. And they don’t answer the phone . My ears still ringing. It’s a true one time experience for us. Never again.

Cynthia’s in Newmarket is excellent. The customer service, ambiance and food are always outstanding. We’ve been going here for years and have never had anything but very positive experiences. The restaurant feels different from most others these days in that the quality of the food, customer service and the overall experience are very high, and the value they deliver from the restaurant experience feels as if you are going back in time to when this was more the standard across the restaurant industry. Thank you Cynthia’s for keeping the standards high! We love your restaurant.

When you are looking for a high end Chinese dining experience you'll find it here! The decor on the inside is properly appointed and has the perfect balance of class and style without going overboard. The service was fast, friendly and they catered to our every need. The food was great including the Perking duck we shared, egg rolls, dumplings, and noodles. Over all it was a pleasant experience that you will need to pay for but definitely worth it!

When you stumble upon a delicious gem… All Ketong, my server, had to say were these three words… “We have lobster”. Tell tale signs for the perfect shrimp wonton soup: Consumé is clear and flavourful Wonton wrappers are delicate and thin Contents of wonton (shrimp) is fresh and seasoned perfectly where the shrimp is still the star of the first act. Contents of wonton are tightly wrapped Scallions are still crisp with a burst of flavour (they were literally just chopped before sprinkled onto your soup) The lobster flavour I chose today was the combination of ginger, garlic and green onion. Next time the garlic and black bean! It was incredibly fresh and I love that the edges of the lobster 🦞 meat were gently crisped. The chef chopped the pieces into easy to eat! The House Fried Rice was pretty good. The Baby Bok Choy was to die for! The sauce was kept light but that wok toasted minced garlic!!! Yum!!! It’s safe to say, I’ll see this place again! Ketong has worked here for 17 years and his service was warm and impeccable. He didn’t miss a beat. High end and worth every dollar spent. Can't wait to try the Peking Duck next week! Tony, the host at reception and possibly the owner was lovely too.

The Funnery indoor playground provides a fantastic experience for children's birthdays with a friendly and professional staff. The facility itself is well-maintained and offers a safe environment for kids to play. However, some users have expressed concerns about the design of the play area, particularly in terms of accessing certain areas. It is advised for parents to explore the place thoroughly with their children to avoid any confusion or distress.
Our son's 5th birthday was so much fun and smooth sailing at the Funnery! The theme package was worth the extra cost. The staff was very organized, incredibly kind, and helpful, and made my life so much easier! My son has food allergies, and we were able to bring our own cake and safe pizza for him. They also allowed us to bring our own fruit and veggies trays. The party room and bathrooms were clean, the play space was perfect for my 5 year old, and my 2 year old had a toddler space with ride-on toys to play with, as well. Would definitely recommend! 10/10 experience! Thank you, from Oliver and family.

Had our sons 2nd birthday here. It was great they did the setup, loots bags, and even food was ordered through them. We brought some food and more drinks. Overall, all the children had a great time! The only recommendation I'd make is possibly having slippers for the bathroom, but other than that, it was really great.

I had my daughter’s third birthday at the Funnery and it was AN AMAZING EXPERIENCE. The staff were friendly and made everything so easy and turn key for us providing pizza, cake, and unlimited tea & coffee. They also took care of all the set up and clean up so we could enjoy the party. I was able to bring in my own themed place settings that they set up for me. The room looked amazing and the kids had to be dragged out they were having so much fun. The party room upstairs was a perfect size and there was lot of seating for the adults. Everyone had so much fun! I would highly recommend hosting your party there.

We are absolutely thrilled with our experience at this indoor playground where we celebrated our child’s 4th birthday! As parents, the party packages made everything so much easier for us and the prices are incredibly reasonable, so that we drove from far away just to come here. The playground itself is very well equipped with a variety of fun activities. Even though the space isn’t huge, that’s actually a big plus, because you can always see the kids, everything is close by and convenient and there was plenty of room for our big party. We had a ready-to-use beautifully decorated party room themed around my son’s favorite cartoon. The tables were set, everything was ready, and we didn’t have to worry about a single detail. Ilana was absolutely amazing, like a personal coordinator for the party. She was always there to help, guide, and make sure everything ran smoothly. Thanks to her thoughtful support and guidance, I didn’t have to stress about anything. God bless her, and thank you a thousand times for everything! All the guests: kids and parents had a fantastic time. My children love indoor playgrounds, and we’ve been to many, but this one is truly one of the best. We highly recommend it to anyone, we had such a wonderful and joyful birthday celebration here!

Love this place! Its never too busy so for small toddlers its great. Has a climbing play ground, under there is a play area with a ball pit, mini kitchen, cars to ride. Along the outside there are cars with slides to go down. Perfect if you want a nice area for your child to play without too much distractions and over stimulation. Family owned business that really cares about entertainment for kids and a wholesome vibe. They also do parties as well but I havent had the pleasure of seeing what that entails yet.

I have used The Funnery 2 times for mascots for my children's birthdays and I plan on continuing to use them. They are very easy to work with, are very entertaining and interact with the children so much. They bring their music, dance with the kids and of course if you want to do something different They are very accommodating. Thanks as always for adding that extra spark to our parties.

We had our daughter’s 9th birthday party at the Funnery today. It was so fantastic. The kids had so much to do and were busy the entire party. They took care of all the set up and clean up which made it easy for me to spend time socializing with my guests. We were very happy with everything and are considering doing it again next year. Thank you 😊

We have had 3 birthday parties at The Funnery and Ilana and her team go above and beyond each time. You will never get this type of service for a birthday party at any other indoor playground in the area. She offers balloon services, orders the food and can completely decorate the party room suited for whatever theme you choose. You just tell her what you want and she does it ALL. Plus parents and guests actually get tor relax while the kids play because they also serve the food and clean up through out the party and at the end for you. A super BIG plus is they literally treat you and your guests like family; you are not just a customer. Highly recommend!

Nestled in the charming historic downtown of Newmarket, Nutmeg Bakeshop is a delightful haven for baked goods enthusiasts. This quaint bakeshop prides itself on crafting an array of delectable treats from scratch every day, including their rich salted caramel sauce and zesty lemon curd. With a menu that changes seasonally, you can always expect fresh flavors and ingredients. Visitors often find themselves faced with tough choices due to the tempting selection available.
My hubby and I had some serious dilemmas on what to buy. We both struggle with making decisions, so the struggle was real in this bake shop! Luckily, we came to this store near the end of the day, so the majority of things were gone, helping to narrow down our options. With some helpful input from a friendly staff member we chose the cheddar jalapeño sourdough AND the cookie coffee cake. Very happy with our life choices today! We might even brave coming in at an earlier time in the future, and face even more choices!

Dangerously delicious and full of temptation — this bakery is our go to heaven. The cheddar jalapeño sourdough? Life-changing. If a bread could win awards, this one deserves a trophy and a standing ovation. So DELICIOUS. As for the cinnamon cruffin pull-apart… let’s just say my kids turn into wild animals when it hits the table (including myself). It’s their all-time favorite dessert. If you’re looking for something delicious for an everyday bite or special occasion, you’ve found the spot.

A cute little bakery on Main St. New Market. We went after lunch in the afternoon so most of their pastries were sold out already, so I grabbed a chocolate chip maple dip. Very decadent and pairs well with a black coffee. Next time I’m in the neighbourhood I’ll be back to try some other items.

I've had a several items from here - all of which have been really good. The cinnamon cruffin is super decadent, so best to share. The croissants are light and flaky. The chocolate croissant is a family favourite. They do not prompt for a tip at point of sale. Bonus ⭐

The place to go for cruffins and scones. I’m not generally a fan of scones, but this place could definitely change ones mind The cruffins have the perfect texture. Nice ridged exterior and soft fluffy interior. Scones were firm enough, yet soft enough and so moist Service was very pleasant and never felt rushed even though I did take some time with a not so large menu Love the cozy feel of the place. There aren’t any seats to dine in, but still have off a nice vibe If you’re thinking of only making a stop here, you can luck out on street parking. But, if you wanna take some leisurely strolls, there’s a huge lot that spans blocks behind Main Street on the east side. Great job overall!

The trail features varying elevation levels and is suitable for toddlers and young kids, with plenty of shade from the trees. The conservation area has several kilometers of trails, a small river, hills for sliding in the snow, and convenient parking. However, there are no picnic areas or food allowed on site.

A beautiful park in King City for a hike. We were in the neighborhood this past Saturday and searched for a hiking trail and found this place. It goes through the wooded and has ups and downs. You can either pick a shorter or a longer trail to walk. The only issue was the parking. The entrance of the trail has a very limited number of parking slots. We had to drive further west to find on street parking and coming back. I’ll go again when fall colours are more vibrant

Thornton Bales Trail is a hidden gem in Newmarket! The trails offer a perfect mix of challenge and tranquility, with scenic views that make every step worth it. The "99 Steps" are a must-try, adding a fun twist to the hike. The forest is dense and lush, providing a peaceful escape from the city. Whether you're a seasoned hiker or just looking for a weekend adventure, Thornton Bales is the place to be. Highly recommended for nature lovers!
Haley — Google review
This is a beautiful place to go for a hike in most seasons. The trails are hilly so I would not rate them as beginner or "easy". I've been here in the summer, fall and winter and each time, it's a different experience as the appearance of the forest changes so much. Parking is limited in the little lot on 19th Avenue and there is another lot off of Bathurst, but I haven't parked there before. I would give this location a 5-star rating if the trails were marked more clearly. There are some maps at random locations but not very frequently and the trail that goes between Thornton Bales and Joker's Hill is not marked and also a bit challenging. It would be really useful if there were signs that pointed to the shortest route to the parking areas. There are steep hills and the trail goes through a swampy area with a river. Depending on when you go, it can be very wet. I would definitely not recommend going when conditions are icy. I recently went in the winter and it was serene and beautiful. Make sure to bring snacks and water and a charged cell phone so you can check a Google Map to see where you are and which way you are pointed. Definitely would recommend this conservation area. Beautiful and challenging! Feels like a proper forest.
Daniel N — Google review
Love hiking here. Trial starts with the famous 99 steps that take you down the trail into the woods. It is not far from the city, but it looks like deep woods in the wilderness. Wildlife is rarely seen there. The trial is comfortable and has multiple variations to take a different path every time. The color change is around mid-October. I recently visited this place in late Nov and it is still amazing. Please see my new photos for the amazing landscape and evergreens adding nice tones.
David B — Google review
Nothing says autumn more than the 99 steps of stairs at the golden trail. We went there on Oct 17th, and the leaves are all yellow. The sun's rays spill over the leaves on the trees and in the ground in a forest of maple and pine. It's like a dream. The trail could use more markers and maps along the way. There are a few confusing loops and entrances, so you better remember where you entered. The forest floor is easy to walk. The surrounding is clean and open.

I was highly impressed with the space available for children's birthday parties at Strawberry Creek Farm Market. It was fascinating to see parents' creativity in planning their children's celebrations. The kids had a fantastic time strawberry picking in the beautiful outdoor area and later enjoyed making balloons. The atmosphere of the open green fields was truly spectacular. Additionally, in late September, there was an abundance of delicious raspberries to pick, providing a great alternative to overcrowded apple picking orchards nearby.
Strawberry Creek Farm Market is a nice place to shopping a best fresh corn & fruit, You can pick a Strawberry, Green Beans & Peas , They have a small grocery to sale a Fresh Vegetable, Fruit, Cheese, Apple Pie, Strawberry Pie, Butter Cookies, Jam, Tea and Coffee. They have a nice play area in the Farm for Kids. The Farm not much big but the product were great . I recommend.

fantastic visit! staff were supportive and friendly, and the farms itself were beautiful - carried vast variety depending on the event. most of the strawberries were rotten at the front, so a suggestion that checking out the further end near the forest will have better options to pick from. pavements were smooth and guiding, as well, with many signs that were helpful. the market was also pleasant, offering many desserts and rare snacks. 100% recommend!

The Arch Brewing Company Inc is a noteworthy establishment that recently hosted an enjoyable event known as Drink & Draw. The company's owner, Sue, was amiable and the atmosphere was welcoming. Despite its small size, the location holds significant importance. One of its standout features is the on-site brewing, resulting in fresh and exceptional beers. Although unable to sample them personally due to other commitments as a parent and photographer, the overall ambiance and friendliness left a lasting impression on me.
My weekly drop in spot. 5 dollars for a flight! What a steal. The variety of craft beer here is phenomenal. Seating and food choices are limited, but you don't come here expecting a restaurant. If you want to try new beers at a nice cozy location with friendly service at an affordable price, this is the place for you. Growler refill, with cans and bottles take out available on site as well. They should really have a loyalty program... 😂

Arch and the Drink & Draw was quite the event. The company was friendly as was Sue (Owner) the location is a hole in the wall, but no less important. And brewing on site makes for fresh and amazing beers. Didn't have time to stop and sample; was busy being daddio and shutterbug. But atmosphere and friendliness do go a long way, and it made me aware of a place my wife and I may want to sit and try! Always happy to work an event here, and next time, slake my thirst

Excellent beer. Take it home with you in 500mL bottles, regular growlers, or mini growlers that are filled before your eyes! I stopped in after a meeting, and the gent working the counter gave me a thorough run down of all of their beers. I also grabbed a small growler, and he took the time to fully explain the process to me when he noticed that I was intrigued by their growler-filling machine.

We were welcomed with a smile and quickly given information about which beer was on tap and which was available to take home. The staff were friendly and made suggestions based on my preferred beer types. A flight of four was $5.00. I tried a Blueberry beer, a summer Porter, an IPA and an Alt. The beer was good enough for me to purchase a few bottles to take home.

Maybe I will have to get an affogato just for that coffee kick! No real place to sit other than a small bench so it’s more of a grab & go type of cafe. Parking is fairly easy as it’s in a commercial plaza, so didn’t have any issues. Great job overall

My Indie Coffee Roaster makes the best matcha latte I've ever had! So far I've tried the strawberry and blueberry syrups, which taste homemade and delicious. The matcha is hand-whisked to perfection and so creamy and perfect in a latte. As you can see, the lattes are so beautiful, too, and taste as good as they look. The baristas are so nice and kind. The matcha lattes are very fairly priced; about $6.50 for a large (+$1 for syrup), which I share with my partner. I was also given a drink card; get your 8th drink free. I can't wait to go back here regularly. Highly recommend!

My Indie Coffee is our go-to spot for perfectly roasted beans and delicious ready-to-drink coffee. You can tell the owner Megan is truly passionate about coffee roasting and genuinely cares about her customers. Shout out to Kaitlyn who is an amazing barista and always greets us with a smile and bright, positive energy! Not only do we love to support a local, woman-owned business, but we get to enjoy Newmarket’s best coffee at home and on the go.

Just checked out new Aurora location. Was headed to cottage and made a pit stop. The food is awesome! Best sourdough bagel and amazing cookie!!! I love that these items are sourced locally and the hibiscus cold tea was delicious. Really impressed with the staff - friendly and warm.
Tiffany W — Google review
Very good coffee, overall smooth and flavourful. When you come at the right time, you may also be greeted by the aromas of roasted coffee beans, as they roast themselves here. Staff are exceptionally nice and cheerful and will not hesitate to give you more informatiom on their shop, roasting processes or your order. A great place we are happy to have found and will gladly come back to in the future!
Swissguyflying — Google review
I recently picked up a 340 g bag of the Swiss water decaf. Let me tell you: it's excellent! There's no compromise in the flavour or aroma. I will be back to try the other beans they offer as soon as I'm in the area again.

If I could give them 6 stars, I would! ⭐️ I absolutely love supporting a local business that takes true pride in what they do. The owners are the sweetest couple, so involved in helping the community, and it really shows. The service is top-notch, the coffee is delicious, and the vibe is unmatched. If you haven’t been yet, you need to make your way there... you’ll thank me later!

I have bought coffee from this little cozy place few times. Such a gem and unique. Coffee was amazing and staff are lovely. They have recommended me to try different things which I loved. Newmarket is lucky to have such a great local roaster and business owner. Highly recommend your visit their store if you live in the area or driving through!

Escape room center
If you're on the lookout for an exhilarating adventure, look no further than Crypto Escape Rooms in Newmarket. This venue offers a variety of themed escape room experiences that can accommodate groups of up to eight people, making it perfect for friends and family alike. One standout experience is "The Cursed Temple," where participants must navigate through a haunted temple to break a curse—an exciting challenge filled with intricate rooms and impressive production value.
What an amazing place! We took my parents in their 70s for my mom's birthday. What a great experience! The staff was so helpful and friendly and we got a bit of extra time because there was no one behind us. We chose the pirate one not knowing it was the hardest room. The decor and theme was so detailed and really allowed you to immerse yourself into the story. Although we had a few hints and took a wee bit extra time we still managed to finish it! Also as an extra bonus they presented my mom with a very generous gift ( for her birthday I'm presuming) was a wonderful extra touch. We will definitely be back !
Leeann L — Google review
The rooms were quite linear and sometimes leads to an uninvolved group members. However, the set designs are props were very nice. One of the better looking escape rooms I’ve done. Did the extraction escape room!
Charlie L — Google review
One of the best escape rooms I’ve been to! We did the Cursed Temple room and it was so much fun. The employee was super helpful and was never annoyed, even though we pressed the hint button a lot. The rooms were very well decorated and the puzzles were fun and challenging. I will definitely come back and try the other rooms!
Ada N — Google review
My daughter really likes it and came back few times already. Lot of parking and some retro games available for you to play while u wait for your turn.
Uncle C — Google review
The place is clean and fun. But the price isn't worth it. There were 7 of us that went, and it cost 30$ per person. After finishing the escape room (the lost treasure). You would think that there would be some sort of reward or coupon at least for finishing it, but nope nothing. I would definitely go back, if there was a discount when you bring more people. Example: 5 people+ 25$ per person instead of 30$ Overall great experience. But the price isn't worth it, and there's no insensitive for people to go back.
Gaming T — Google review
Just went here with wife daughter and granddaughter (8). We had a blast. The grandchild was able help in all the stages. Although we didn't finish in the time allowed but was on the last puzzle. This not no simple escape room. Everything amazing animatronic dragon and owls complex puzzles with multiple rooms to solve the puzzle. Thanks to our hostess to give us an extra 5 min to solve the last puzzle.

Crypto Escape Rooms will always be very special to us. Crypto Escape Rooms in Newmarket went above and beyond to help me pull off the most incredible surprise proposal. Not only was the escape room itself challenging and so much fun, but the team secretly added a special final puzzle that revealed the words “Will you marry me?” when we solved it. The planning, attention to detail, and genuine excitement from the staff made it feel so personal and magical. It’s not every day you get engaged and solve an epic mystery! Special thanks to the owners for their kindness and creativity for making this moment absolutely perfect. Thank you for making this day one we’ll remember forever. If you’re looking for a creative date, a team-building event, or even a once-in-a-lifetime surprise—this is the place to go! 💍🗝️

Went with six other adults and we had a blast uncovering the Sorcerer's Secret. I thought it was great. Good effects, difficult, but not too difficult, puzzles and riddles. We were having a good laugh for much of the time! Thanks to the team there!

Park
Bonshaw Avenue Park is a delightful spot for families, especially those with toddlers. With two playgrounds catering to different age groups, it offers plenty of fun for little ones, although it's worth noting that swings are absent. The park's layout includes nearby soccer fields where kids can run freely and a basketball net for some added activity. While the atmosphere is generally pleasant and less crowded than other parks, visitors have reported occasional disturbances from older teens.
Good park for 2 year plus with two play grounds for older and younger. There are no swings. What I do like is the soccer fields nearby where my little guy likes to go and run around. The park also has a basketball net adjacent. Good place to go and enjoy the outside for the whole family. This is my toddlers favorite park, a little less busy they the other ones.
Tom C — Google review
Needs to be better maintained. Lots of potholes calling for injury. Grass is long
Emmanuel M — Google review
Nice enough. A couple of decent climbers and some basketball nets. My daughter (near 4 yrs old) was a little bored but we stayed an hour. She was caught a little between the small climber and the bigger one.
Lee S — Google review
The park is always muddy even after a few weeks of it raining however in the summer when it is to hot to be outside for more than an hour the park is nice. In fall the park is amazing. If you go in the spring you should stay in the wood chip and paved area because the fields are very muddy
Madison S — Google review
Cool little park with a few trees around. Wish there was a swingset. The rope spider web is a cool touch that I haven't seen at other parks. There are 2 soccer fields close by.
Markus W — Google review
Good place to practice soccer, not much parking spaces
AMIR K — Google review
Great cute park. Although no swings which sucks for mommas with little ones. Although lately been getting teenagers and my last visit here there was a big fight with a hroup of teenagers infront of lots of children and babies and families.
Megs — Google review
It's mostly well-maintained, however the woodchips in the playground should be replenished or rearranged more often to avoid kids tripping and falling in dips. Southeast corner has had a lot of garbage accumulated for a few months. They should clean that up soon.

Holland Marsh Wineries is a hidden gem for those seeking a picturesque venue with rustic charm, perfect for weddings. With its enchanting vineyard, charming gazebo, and unique wooden accents, it sets the stage for a vintage celebration. The stunning second-floor balcony offers breathtaking views of the reception area, while the delicious food and wine selection elevate any event. Couples rave about the supportive events team who make planning stress-free and enjoyable.
I went for a wine tasting session with friends after obtaining a Groupon voucher but I must say this was definitely worth the price and I am coming back again. Their service is really good and the wine tasting & charcuterie board was top quality. This is a winery with Armenian roots and I could so relate to the quality of their products as I have been to Armenia earlier. The warm and welcoming staff, fairly priced wine and great ambience makes me recommend this place to my friends and a second trip is in plans already! Thanks for making our experience the best!!
Amanda J — Google review
Holland Marsh was an absolute dream location to get married! The venue—both inside and out—is stunning, spacious, and incredibly picturesque. From the moment we inquired to the wedding day, Lia and Tamara were so helpful, responsive, and supportive throughout the entire planning process. They provided us with a great list of vendor recommendations, which made planning so much easier, and were always quick to answer any questions we had. We also really appreciated their help and presence on the big day—it gave us so much peace of mind. Our family and friends couldn’t stop raving about the venue. It was everything we hoped for and more!

Went for a wine tour and I learned a lot about this hidden gem. Didn’t know there was a winery in the York region area. We had a selection of 6 wines to taste 3 white and 3 red. Got to see behind the scenes of a small batch operation that still produces so much wine. Area is very scenic and pretty and the vibe is just very romantic and intimate.

Holland Marsh Wineries was the perfect venue for our wedding in July. From the moment we had our first tour, Tamara and the Events team were so amazing and helpful, and they were a big reason why we chose to HMW to host our wedding. We knew we would be in good hands throughout the wedding planning process. Everytime we visited leading up to the wedding, they were so kind & welcoming. The open houses they held were great too, connecting us with many of our vendors for the day. On the wedding day itself, they made sure everything with the venue/ceremony space looked beautiful and ran smoothly. 2 months later, and we are still having guests tell us what a hidden gem Holland Marsh Wineries is... beautiful scenery, reception space and of course delicious wine! Can't wait to continue visiting the winery for years to come. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

A hidden gem just an hour from Toronto! Peaceful, beautiful, and a perfect escape from the city. The staff were friendly and passionate, explaining the wines with care. My friend from Minnesota loved it & I especially enjoyed the Vidal wines. Highly recommend!
Abhi B — Google review
My boyfriend and I went for a wine tour for his birthday and had a wonderful time. The wines were amazing and the tour was very informative and fun! The property was very beautiful and we would love to come back to just enjoy the scenery and a glass of wine.
Stacey P — Google review
First time checking out Holland Marsh Winery and was shocked by the good varieties of wine. The property is nice with a small pond lookout area, beautiful looking wine shop and a nice view of the vineyard from the parking lot. Anthony was a great server discussing the different varieties of wine and the flavour notes in detail in the wines I sampled. I purchased the Rose and Pinot Grigio which were priced pretty good. Would definitely recommend for anyone around the area.
Jacob H — Google review
My cousin and I did a tour and tasting at the winery and it was superb! The tour guide was so friendly and knowledgeable, she happily answered all our questions and with each tasting for those of us who aren’t so experienced she assisted in helping us pair our wine with our cheese and crackers board. We enjoyed each tasting and the cheese and cracker board was so delicious! The winery is so beautiful! Definitely need to go back! It was an amazing experience for us.

This vibrant venue is perfect for children of all ages, offering an impressive array of toys and activities that will keep them entertained for hours. From a thrilling pirate ship with a massive slide to swings, trampolines, and dress-up clothes, there's something here for every little adventurer. The friendly staff ensures the space is always clean and welcoming, making it easy to relax while your kids play.
We go there all the time. I usually do 1 hour and then we go, but sometimes well stay the day. They have a lot of toys for boys and girls, they are very friendly and even if they have a party going on, you can still go in with the kids because they have a big place. Its certainly one of the best indoor playground in Aurora and Newmarket. Totally recommend

I love kids at sea Absolutely adore the two ladies who own the place. They give great service. And their always cleaning up and so friendly. Their setup is amazing for such a big variety of a age group of children. My 2 year old 7 and 10 year old love it there.
Megs — Google review
This place is great. Tons for the kids to do. The only thing I would mention is that a lot, like over half of the toys my daughter played with needed new batteries (they were dead) for what you pay it would be nice if everything was working.
Ash C — Google review
Kids at Sea is a great place for little kids. My children love playing there and there is a massive selection of toys and dress-up clothes. They also have coffee & snacks which is great.
Joy H — Google review
This is a great place for kids just be prepared the 2 women that work their are horrible and need to learn a thing about customer service. It was only my 2nd time there and I payed for an hour and than my son wanted to stay longer so I went and tried to pay the difference for a all day pass and was told they don't allow that and would charge me for another hour which is more money. I asked why is this not told before I person pays. I was told very rudely we ask you if you want hour or a day and I said that is not an explanation and as customer service it should be explained. I was than told you are here all the time and should know this I said no its only my 2nd time the women than called me liar basically and gave me a dirty look and said I guess you have a twin than because I see you in here all the time. I have never experienced such horrible customer service and you never call a customer a liar first rule of customer service. I will never be back and too bad too because it really is a great place for kids to play.
Rebecca C — Google review
Cool pirate ship for climbing with big slide. Swings, trampoline, smaller slides, dress up clothes. ride on cars, activity centres. Lots of different things to do and the kids love it.
Shannon M — Google review
Lots of activities for children to choose from, Huge and FAST slide, beware. Friendly staff that clean up all the time. Good for a couple of hours.
Anna D — Google review
Lots of toys. Music was too load and not appropriate for children, made it difficult to communicate . To much candy temptation for the little ones.

A hidden gem! Peaceful, clean, nice breezes. Lots of benches 2 pause & take in the scenery. Not too crowded - might have been the time of day. Friendly people - got some good advise on locations 2 sit to enjoy the breeze.

A good escape from the city centre and yet very convenient to get to. This location is a park, a pleasure boat club, a picnic place as well as a kids playground. It has a good long trail that goes for miles along the lakeshore. You can spend An afternoon with friends and family in this wonderful place.

Cool place to have morning/afternoon/evening walk and/or jogg. Please be aware that many individuals bring their dogs for walk too. There are quite a few parking spots that gives you the view of Lake Ontario and marina. Many individuals enjoy the view from their vehicles too.

One of my magnet fishing spots. No treasure yet except the peaceful, well cared for park. The lake view and waterfront trail. Nice place for a walk.

Great place to walk and hang out. There is beech access to water here. Boardwalk. Food trucks. Playground for kids and more. It is also right by the marina where the boats enter and exit. There are benches to sit at and a good size parking lot to park. Dog friendly
