There are just so many wineries in Melbourne that choosing one felt like a mini project. I did quite a bit of research before finally settling on Oakridge, and I have to say, it did not disappoint. The experience felt a little more personal compared to the bigger, more commercial wineries. The cellar door host who guided us through the tasting was absolutely lovely. She gave one of the best wine explanations I have ever had. She talked us through their red wines in such detail, then offered us their white and sparkling too. We really got to explore the variety. What stood out the most was when she started explaining about the soil types. That was something I never paid attention to, but it was such an eye opener. I left knowing that even the ground your grapes grow on plays a huge role in the taste. It made the whole wine tasting experience more meaningful. The ambiance was peaceful and relaxing. Floor to ceiling glass panels gave us the best view of the vineyard, and with the winter chill, I really appreciated the warm sunlight coming in. It was the kind of space where you just want to sit, sip slowly and enjoy the view. I would absolutely recommend Oakridge if you are looking for a winery that is not only scenic but also educational and memorable. It was definitely one of the highlights of my trip.

We had such an amazing time at Oakridge! We stopped in for a wine tasting on my birthday, and it truly couldn’t have been more perfect. The wines were great. Carrie guided us and she was fantastic; so friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about the wines. She took the time to explain everything in such an engaging way and made me feel really welcome. I can’t wait to come back.

We did the Chardonnay masterclass at Oakridge with Carrie and absolutely loved it. She was brilliant — really knowledgeable but super easy to chat with. The range of Chardonnays was incredible, each one different and really well explained. The standout for us was the Aqueduct Block Henk Vineyard Chardonnay — just stunning. Oh and she looked after the designated driver really well too! Such a great experience and well worth doing if you’re visiting the Yarra Valley.

We had a fantastic wine tasting at Oakridge. We explored many different wines, all amazingly created yet distinctive in their own right depending on terroir or vintage. Carrie was our host and she did an amazing job, very knowledgeable and clear on explanations. She is a very lovely, welcoming host that made our tasting extra special. Can’t wait to return again and we will certainly have this winery on a regular delivery.

What a wonderful tasting hosted by the fabulous Carrie. My friends and I were well taken care of, and got to try multiple delicious wines with a lot of knowledge delivered by Carrie. This place is not pretentious and is reflective of how great the Yarra Valley can be.

Thanks to Adam, we had a very pleasant time here. Founded by James Halody, their vineyard is just above Yarra Yering.. and the wines were pretty good! You can waive the tasting fees if you buy more than a bottle from them. We liked the whites and especially the bubbles.. and ended with 2!! Small and cosy. V nice views too at the top of the hills.. Enjoy the vineyard and cellar door!!

The tasting experience at Coldstream Wines was the best in the Yarra. Adam really knew wine and had the perfect personality for sharing and educating about the winery and their wines. This is a must visit.

On a recommendation we went for lunch at Isabella’s. We were greeted and treated like royalty by Josel(alias James Bond), his attention to detail and friendly approach made our experience all the more enjoyable. The meals were quite generous helpings and thoughtfully prepared. The choices on the menu were diverse.

The last stop in our wine tour finished with another good selection of wine for tasting. It's another well oiled commercial wine producer. They were understanding that this was our fourth and last stop, providing us with a long table and chairs to sit on while doing our wine tasting (the prior 3 others had us standing and tasting). Likely to avoid any of us being imbalanced and falling. 😂 Again, another good selection of wine but externally, nothing outside the building that's unique to enjoy.

Visited in Nov 2025 Stopped by Rochford Wines Cellar Door as one of our stops during our winery tour in Yarra Valley. A total of 5 wines (2 whites and 3 reds) were part of the tasting. Don’t be misled by the picture I’ve added which shows a 14 wine list. Five wines are chosen from that long list as part of the tasting. The tasting experience was quite good and we ended up buying a bottle of one of the wines we tasted. Service was fine, and the person in charge of the tasting experience took his time in explaining the different wines which were part of the tasting. Overall, a good cellar door to visit.

If you are coming for a day trip, wine tasting, social group, you should have a good time, it's got a lovely atmosphere. If you join a tour, your tour guide will be able to arrange a main course, chips and a glass of wine for $50, which is better value than ordering separately. The wine tasting venue is this beautiful underground facility and we ate slow cooked beef, duck and fish and entree is quail.

This weekend, hubby and I booked a Yarra Valley tour to play tourists in our own city. We love this region—visit multiple times a year—and wanted to see it through the eyes of a first-timer. Unfortunately, our first stop was Rochford… and it was a letdown from the start. As a passionate wine lover who’s tasted across Australia, NZ, Europe, South Africa and beyond, I’ve never come across a wine tasting that felt this lifeless. The lady running our tasting clearly didn’t want to be there—zero enthusiasm, no passion, and visibly irritated when asked questions. It was a quick, clinical pour-and-go with barely any interaction apart from a rehashed line. What’s worse? We had to spend more time at their shop than at the tasting itself—which says a lot. Even then, the lady took 10 minutes to ring up my husband’s wine purchase and had to make calls to work out their system. The vibe was cold, the space was sterile, and the wines were underwhelming. It honestly made me so sad. You could tell no one in the Go West tour group enjoyed it. And it breaks my heart that this might be a tourist’s only taste of the Yarra Valley (as apart from the gin distillery this particular tour doesn’t visit any other wineries, wild isn’t it???), when this region has so much to offer in warmth, quality, and character. Rochford just didn’t show up.

3 members of my family and I went to the pizzeria on Saturday. It was dreadful weather but the atmosphere inside was great. We had a wine tasting and Chris who served us in the tasting was wonderful. He was so friendly and welcoming and very knowledgeable about the wines. We so much enjoyed the wines we tasted that we ended up buying a dozen wines with a great discount. The food was delicious as well and the service was amazing.

We came for the first time to Rochford and had a fantastic experience for our lunch! Confit Duck was super juicy, pasta well seasoned (come in satisfying portion too). Front of house staff, Jojo looks after us really well from start to finish!

Pizza was totally yum with fresh melted balls of mozzeralla & tasty olives. Beers were nice. Good price all round. Loved reading the Shivering Man story. It's nice to hear a great Aussie dream coming to fruition. The only thing missing is a bigger bush setting venue with room for local bands. That would really put Coldstream Brewery on the bigger map. Cheers!

Very friendly staff, cozy atmosphere and perfect for gatherings. Had my family and our guests from Germany and they had a great experience!

A great spot and the tasting paddles are a must, the highlight was the Pinot Apple Cider. The staff were very accommodating, the kitchen had just closed but they still cooked us some hot chips. Cost atmosphere as well.

Went there the other day absolutely love the food honestly the best Parma It was really good. It was really happy with the food and the service and the food came out so Quickly, I was really impressed

Just an all round great venue! We had a booking for 16pax which they accommodated for us in the front room, but they also have a function room & an outdoor, dog friendly space. Food & drinks were delicious & very reasonably priced, generous portions & great menu selection also. Excellent craft beers & ciders on tap, tasting paddles available for both. Great atmosphere with a casual, welcoming vibe. The staff are amazing too, super friendly & attentive without being intrusive. Even their coffee is perfect! Our booking was for a birthday celebration & the bartender comped the birthday girl a glass of wine at one stage & also gave her a free bottle of the same wine after we settled our bill. It was a sweet gesture & a demonstration of just how lovely the staff are. So whether you’re looking for a function venue, a lunch or dinner or just a casual drink, I cannot recommend this brewery highly enough. I will definitely be back!

Decent spot for a luncho. Brewery burger was good, chips super crispy, slightly too salty but goes well with some sauce. Burger was probably just a bit too small for its price, but flavours are all there. Bit hard to move around in the outdoor covered area with benches, if you're running with a big table.

We came here for lunch and had a wonderful time. We had a reservation, but came a little bit earlier than expected. Luckily, they were able to seat us right away. The food was great and tasty! Friendly staff and were fast with their service. I also recommend their beer paddle to get an inside taste of their lovely beer and then order a glass of your favorite! 🍻

Last Sunday I went to see A Toast to Melba at the Yarra Ranges Regional Museum which is the story of Dame Nellie Melba and had a great time. The exhibition was very interesting and well presented.

My museum outing was nothing short of exceptional—beautifully executed in every way. The exhibits told stories in inventive and deeply human ways. The staff welcomed me with enthusiasm and shared their knowledge effortlessly. I especially enjoyed the interactive components, which were both informative and fun. The museum felt pristine and organized, with peaceful spaces for contemplation. The overall atmosphere was both uplifting and warm. A must-stop for anyone seeking an enriching cultural escape.

A lovely and beautifully presented small museum with interesting exhibitions - we learnt a lot! Toby and his colleague (sorry we didn't catch her name!) made our visit so lovely, taking the time to chat with us, tell us about the stories behind certain artefacts and give us local recommendations (since we're visiting from the UK). We really enjoyed our visit, it was a great thing to do on a rainy day. Would recommend allowing anywhere between 45 mins and 1.5 hours to visit, depending on how much you take your time/chat!

Great space. Good COVID-19 protocols. Enjoyed the local history in the permanent exhibit, plus the display of quilts. Well worth a visit.

Started with the tour and then had the 3 course lunch. Very nice, the Barra and Pork were delicious. Keep your eyes peeled when doing the tour. We saw a tiger snake in the Cottage Garden pond.

Food was delicious but main meal of salmon, and a few sticks of broccolini was not enough for a main course. It needed more vegetables. If we hadn't ordered the chat potatoes as a side dish, we would have been hungry

We had the house tour and high tea. It was amazing to see the house. Very informative and friendly guide. Food was delicious and service excellent. Very friendly staff. A very enjoyable afternoon .

Lovely lunch in a calm, naturally lighted, uncrowded room. Old photos and museum items are on show in the house showcasing Melba. Hedge sculpting wonderful, creating a sheltered courtyard.

The most beautiful gardens. So interesting & relevant to our history I bought a book about Dame Nellie Melba Restaurant experience enhanced our trip there. Beautiful food & service.

The venue is absolutely beautiful, had my brothers wedding here and it was so lovely, the staff are also amazing and friendly! Helpful with questions about the history of the house and anything else you might need!

An amazing venue and property. We were there for a wedding and was blown away with the exceptional gardens. The venue and staff were amazing and attentive.

Absolutely love Healesville sanctuary! My kids and I always have the best time when we visit. The staff are lovely, animals are gorgeous, plenty of play areas and beautiful bush land. I love the peaceful feeling I get when I hear the river water run. The flight arena bird show is always fun but warning it can get quite toasty in the warmer weather as there’s little to no shade in this part. I absolutely adore the bird enclosure with the gorgeous black cockatoos ❤️ my favourite birds. The kids love all the play areas but their favourite is the sandpit with the dinosaur skeleton.

Fantastic experience. Bigger than I expected. Good to have talks at different locations. So happy I got to see a platypus, Tasmanian Devil family at feeding time and echidna. The koalas were active moving and eating so it was a perfect time to walk past. Spirits of the Sky show was awesome. The birds were so well trained out in the wild (no enclosure) and they performed for us. Loved the swoop to catch a fish in the water, crack open an emu egg and reveal of thanks signage. It was different seeing a wombat and kangaroos in an upturned position (playing dead). Wow, a tree kangaroo. A wonderful visit and beautiful sunshine to make it the amazing time I had. The map was really handy and the signages were great.

I love coming here, every time we return it’s always as enjoyable as the last. The habitats created for all the animals are beautiful replications of their homes in the wild. The wellbeing and happiness seems to be well taken care of in this zoo, the animals always seem very at ease no pacing or signs of distress. There’s something really serene and peaceful about this place, love having a chat with the staff too. Today was the first time we went near the end of the day, and it worked out quite well as we got to see the kangaroos having their evening feed, looked at the reptiles with not a single person in the the whole building too. Always a lovely experience.

A wonderful zoo will undoubtedly delight visitors. The extensive grounds offer the opportunity to get acquainted with a variety of wild animals, from platypuses to rare species of kangaroos. You can also see active snakes and turtles here, as well as visit the laboratory and observe many wild and rare birds. Additionally, visitors will be able to see dingoes, koalas, and much more. Visiting this remarkable zoo promises to be interesting for both children and adults.

We only had about 3 hours to spend and wish we had more. The exhibits were excellent. The animals had a lot of space and were also visible most of the time. The Tasmanian Devils were very active when we were there. We also got to see the platypus and attend the talk about them. I wish we had more time to hear more of the talks. The presenter was very knowledgeable and patient. The bird enclosures were also very nice with volunteers available to answer questions.

Me and my friends are all Zoo Victoria members, and we absolutely love animals! 🐾 Healesville Sanctuary is one of our favourite places to visit. We often come here whenever we have free time — it’s such a lovely and joyful place to walk around and spend time with friends and family. All the staff are always so nice and friendly. I especially love listening to the animal talks and watching the Spirits of the Sky bird show — it’s amazing every time! 🦅 We always leave feeling relaxed and happy after visiting. Highly recommend it to all animal lovers! 🌿💚

We walked around for about 3 hours seeing the animals and watching a cool birds of prey experience. There were lots of different kinds of parrots and water birds. I was so stoked to see some pelicans up close as id only ever seen them on tv. We didn’t get to hug a koala or hold a snake but I fell in love with the echidnas and the baby duckbilled platypus. Most of the animals were either hiding in the shade in the cool and i didnt blame them as we were melting ourselves. It got up to 25 or 26c at one stage. 40 years ago I visited this sanctuary when I was on a big international group camping trip kind of like a scout jamboree but it was called Rally Arura ( and was church based). It’s certainly changed a lot in the past 40 years. I’ll have to hunt out my old photos when I get home. Was it worth $119 AU for the two of us? Definitely.

Wine tasting and lunch at Yering Station was one of the highlights of our Melbourne trip. I was delighted to try some delicious red wines and enjoy a wonderful lunch there. The beautiful surroundings, elegant décor, and friendly staff make it an outstanding restaurant and winery. Highly recommend.

I was really excited for this one. We went for the wine tasting on a beautiful sunny day, the kind of weather that makes you want to be outdoors enjoying the view. Unfortunately, the tasting itself takes place indoors in a fairly dim room with very little natural light, which felt like a real shame. With such gorgeous surroundings outside, it seemed like a missed opportunity to create something special. During the tasting, four different staff members poured for us. Three of them asked what we had already been served, which made the whole experience feel a bit disorganized and not as smooth or welcoming as I was hoping for. The wine pours also felt quite small -more like a sip than a proper tasting- and I think most people would agree after seeing the photo I’ve attached. Inside, the décor follows a pop-art theme with Andy Warhol replicas. Normally, I appreciate that style, but here it felt completely unrelated to wine, wine tasting, or the heritage of the vineyard. Instead of enhancing the atmosphere, it actually worked against the rustic, old-world vibe that the place itself naturally carries. That said, the outdoor area is stunning. The grounds are well kept, with a beautiful grassy area out front and a lovely lookout point that really makes you stop and take it in. It honestly left me thinking how perfect it would be if the wine tasting were moved outdoors, perhaps with a small kiosk or bar set up in the middle of the lawn. With the sunshine, scenery, and a glass in hand, that would transform the experience into something unforgettable.

You can't fault much here. The service, food and atmosphere is exceptional. However, there was a fault in the steak option that I paid extra for on top of what my parents had already paid for a 3-course meal. It might not seem like a big deal, but since I asked specifically for "true medium rare", not medium, which it ended up exactly being on my plate, that was disappointing, being such a high quality piece of meat. Other than that, it was an amazing lunch, and had me bursting at the seams. I could have just had the pork belly entree and pistachio dessert and been satisfied.

Had a great meal at Yering station. Great service beautiful views great menu and flavours. Everyone enjoyed every dish. Loved my prawn entree. The fish main was perfect. Steaks were cooked to perfection. Front of house Trixie was very professional. Wines were great. Deserts were delicious. Highly recommend will def return.

We had a very odd and dissapointing experience at the restaurant. We had booked lunch using a luxury escape voucher which included a main, choice of wine and two shared sides. The only positive was how well cooked the meats were and how tasty the wine was. Other than that, our experience was very strange. The strangest part or our experience was the use of potato off cuts in our roasted potato side - see picture below. I have never before seen potato fondant off cuts and bits of potato eye served to guests. It's really incomprehensible and unappetising. We ended up leaving the potato dish. The salad was also quite terrible - it literally looked like a Coles pre chopped salad mix that was topped with a few sprigs of dill and some goats cheese. The leaves were barely dressed and very plain tasting. Onto the main meals, which ended up being quite odd as well. The cuts of meat were very tasty and well seasoned. The biggest negative was the random pastry basket served with the pork and holding chopped apple. The basket was pale, undercooked and soggy. It didn't really add anything to the dish. The duck dish was also a bit odd with an undercooked cannelloni filled with pulled duck and cabbage. This was bland and underseasoned also. While both dishes looked pretty, they left much to be desired and not worth the cost or effort. Overall, we would not be back and we wouldn't recommend to others. There are much better choices in the Yarra Valley (and much better luxury escape deals as well). Be warned.

Beautiful Vinyard with celler door and restaurant. Simple elegant feels with vase space. We went to cellar door to get a cheese platter and a glass of wine as we arrived too early for our lunch booking. There are a small number of outside table for you to enjoy the cheese board and wine and it was super delicious. The celler door staff was super friendly and professional, compared to my recent visit to Pt.Leo celler door where staff would just ignored you. We then moved to the restaurant after we finished the cheese board. Lovely open space in the restaurant area with glass wall from floor to ceiling open to the landscape! I was going to do the 3 courses and finish with dessert to share with my partner but the food size was really substantial I was way too full and couldn't even finish my fish main. 😞 My entree of scallops with bacon was so good, a little too much of pumpkin. The barramundi with eels mashed was very tasty as well, but also feel like there are too many things on the plates. Overall I enjoyed my food. My husband entree was great but the main is a little bland. Definitely recommend the cellar door for wine tasting and cheese platter for chill out outdoor on a good sunny day 😎🌞

As a wedding florist, we always love returning to Coombe Yarra Valley. The venue is a perfect blend of rich historical charm and modern elegance. Tucked behind the hedges, it’s full of beauty — from the original gardens and striking architecture to the refined interiors. It provides a stunning canvas for ceremonies in the Italian Garden or under the Oak Tree, and the reception space is just as breathtaking, with rich and raw features. One of our favourite moments is decorating the tables with lots of candles — it looks especially magical as night falls, particularly on the glass-top tables, where the reflections add an extra sparkle ✨✨ The team is consistently warm, professional, and so lovely to work with. I love walking into the reception space to see familiar smiling faces 🥰 The weddings and events team is always organised and make our job easy. It’s such a joy to be part of weddings and events at Coombe!

Beautiful winery with lush green gardens and very helpful hosts. Hosted a drive day function at the Gallery and Emma our event manager was incredibly helpful. We dropped off the gifts and place cards and banner the day before and Emma had it all set up perfectly. Emma greeted us at the gates and led us to the Gallery. Everyone complimented on the food and presentation. I highly recommend Coombe for functions. There was an option for a garden tour but we didn’t have the time to incorporate that into our event. Definitely one of the best places to host a function

I loved the venue and we had a wonderful view of the trees from our table. The building interior is very interesting and beautifully finished; for what was once the old garage for Nellie’s luxury automobiles- Cadillac, Rolls Royce etc. The service was friendly and unhurried. Our meals were delicious and are commented on in other reviews. My 4 star atmosphere rating is reduced from 5 due to the repetitive, & to my taste, boring jazz trumpets. A bit more variety would be nice.

I was invited to a private party in the museum. The service is good. There are two options for each course. I had Confit Duck Terrine, Slow Cook Pork Belly and Pork Scotch, Peach Melba. The duck is good but the bun is dry. Pork scotch is much better than the pork belly. Peach Melba is not to my liking. I want a bit sour than sweet.

The food was amazing! Hard to decide what to have! Started with homemade, still warm, bread to dip into a gorgeous fresh olive oil (forgot to take a photo). A glass of Coombe sparkling, then Coombe Chardonnay with the Barrimundi. Terrific, friendly service. Would have liked to go on a tour of the house and gardens, but a bit much on the expensive side. Maybe another time. The flat white coffee was on the weak side unfortunately. Great place for a special celebration, like our wedding anniversary!

Good value and options for selecting 2 or 3 courses. Our group chose 2 courses each and everyone was happy with their mains and desserts. The best dish was the lamb shoulder - succulent and falling off the bone, served with deliciously rich gravy and perfectly roasted cauliflower.

We chose Coombe for our wedding and we just want to give the biggest shout out to Angie and her team for creating our dream wedding. Angie toured us through the gardens initially and straight away we knew we wanted Coombe as our wedding venue and a huge reason for this is because of Angie. We wanted a coordinator that we could trust to see our vision and ensure that the day just goes as smoothly as possible. Nothing was too much or hard for the team and we never felt that we were being annoying with the emails or questions we had, we were always put at ease. Their new wedding portal made everything smooth as well and they truly are professional through out everything. The food was 5 stars, everyone said how amazing the food was and they took allergies very seriously which made us feel in good hands. The amount of compliments we had about the staff on the night being so polite and attentive, always filling up wine glasses and helping anyone who needed it. Which was music to our ears as it just made the whole wedding really feel like a black tie wedding which is what we wanted. The gardens were so well maintained and the Italian gardens is just breathe taking, we were told by so many guests this was the most beautiful wedding venue they'd ever been to. There's so much to say but most importantly just a HUGE shout out to Angie, without her I don't think I would have had as an incredible wedding day as I did purely for the fact she just made everything feel so easy that I didn't have to think on the day at all and could be present with our guests. We had the pleasure of enjoying a truly delightful lunch today in celebration of a dear friend’s birthday. The cuisine was nothing short of exquisite, and the service was impeccable—our waiter’s warmth and attentiveness made us feel genuinely welcome and added a memorable touch to the occasion. The seating offered a lovely view, which made the experience all the more special. We shall most certainly return. Un grand merci for such a wonderful experience.

Worth trying the Andre Cab sav. its memorable. The John Dory done simply with butter and peppercorns was just yummy. Great staff, gorgeous restaurant and cellar in parklike grounds overlooking a small lake.

Came here after a disappointing lunch at a nearby winery, and we are SO glad we did. The chicken liver pate was delicious and already better than our whole lunch experience. Wines were delicious, left with a few bottles. The Andre is definitely worth trying. Orange cake was good and moist. Overall would come back here again (and for a full meal next time)

Stunning location with picturesque views and very easy access from the main road. We met with a large group which was well catered for. Wines were delicious. We were treated by the history of the winery which originated in France. Absolute must to visit. Gluten free options were aplenty along with very friendly wait staff.

Lovely location to meet up with friends and family. The food is really good. We had the share plate. Some dishes can be substituted for the GF and Vegans in the group. The wines are quite nice. I’m not a big wine drinker but I really enjoyed the Pinot Noir. Nice place to go during a cold winters day.

Four Pillars Gin was not even in our original plan, but we were already in the mood after champagne and wine stops, so I thought, why not complete the circle with some gin? I am not exactly a gin person, but I have to say, this stop made me rethink that a little. The gin was great, yes, but can we talk about the duck pate? I had it after a full cheese fondue lunch at Chandon, and still managed to finish the entire jar by myself. It was creamy, flavourful and went so well with their crackers. Honestly, I would go back just for that pate. For the drinks, I ordered the gin tasting set which came with four different types of gin, served with tonic water on the side so you could mix to your liking. I got to try a few variations, but the one that really stood out for me was the Shiraz Gin. It had a nice depth and smoothness that I did not expect. Easy to drink and very well balanced. The place itself has a cool industrial chic vibe, very open and relaxed. Staff were friendly and made the tasting experience fun without being too formal. It did not feel rushed and we got to enjoy everything at our own pace. If you are in the area, even if you are not a gin lover, I say give it a try. You might leave with a new favourite and definitely with a full stomach.

Popped in on Friday around 5 p.m. and the place was absolutely buzzing. Happy hour kicked off at 6 with great drink specials, amazing cocktails, and a full house. The yuzu gin was incredible and the yuzu sour cocktail was even better. The staff were fun and friendly, and the whole place had a great energy. They also run a happy hour dinner on Friday nights, which looked awesome. Definitely the spot to be and probably my number one pick when visiting Healesville.

I had no idea that Four Pillars Gin originated in Melbourne! We stopped by after visiting the Redwood Forest to do a gin tasting and ended up learning a lot about the gin-making process. It was fascinating to discover how different spices are infused to create unique flavours. We also got to rate several distinct gin varieties and try some cocktails made with their different gins — each with fruity, coffee, chocolate, or smoky notes. The experience was really enjoyable, easy to access, and they even offer a membership with some great deals.

A nice place for an afternoon chill with friends or family over gin and some bar food. A small distillery to see the making of the Four Pillar gins. They have a small restaurant that let u taste their gin and cocktails (the cocktail flight is a must), and enjoy some finger food/ snacks. There is also a small shop to buy some merchandise and of course their famous gin to bring home.

Had an explosion of flavour for lunch before completing a gin tasting of 7 of Four Pillars finest Gins. The whole experience was absolutely amazing thanks to a charismatic young gentlemen by the name of Cooper. He educated us about all the traditional spices and infusions in gin making and what sets Four Pillars aside from the rest. His passion and love for what he does, along with his endless knowledge made for a wonderful gin filled afternoon. Cannot recommend Four Pillars highly enough for a visit for foodies and gin lovers. Simply a MUST when in Healesville hopefully you will be lucky enough to meet Cooper the legend himself. Four Pillars also have a nonalcoholic range which is also in a league of its own compared to other nonalcoholic spirits. Full of flavour and just as delicious.

My wife took me to Four Pillars for my 35th birthday and I have now fallen in love with Gin thanks to them 😍 Amazing place. Was served by David who gave us a wonderful experience with so many smiles, stories, and samples. Every Gin I tired was beauitful. Strongly recommend visiting the distillery. I'll be back soon I know it. Shop at the front is well stocked and very good prices.

This place was fun. Well worth the drive and if you’re a gin lover like me, it’s a must try. We had the G&T paddle and discovered a new gin, olive leaf, which is scrumptious so I’ll be going back and getting a couple more bottles. The snacks were good too. We had the fries and a tiramisu dip…so so good.

My first-ever cheese tasting and it was AMAZING! 🧀 We got to try 10 cheeses for just $15/pp – such a good deal! The staff were super friendly and explained everything so well. Loved exploring their little shop full of boards, cheese cutters, spreads & more. We grabbed a milkshake + a super strong caramel latte (hello, caffeine kick ☕️), and also tried the cheesecake and their famous brie hotpot. You HAVE to try the chili brie hotpot – it’s next-level delicious!

Beautiful little stop in the Yarra Valley! The cheese tastings were generous and the staff were super friendly and knowledgeable. Loved the marinated goat cheese and truffle brie. The setting is stunning with views over the hills, and it’s the perfect spot to relax with a glass of wine. A must-visit if you’re in the area.

Yarra Valley Dairy was a really good experience. Their cheeses were fresh and full of flavour, and the whole place has a relaxed country vibe that makes it enjoyable. I ordered the Fancy Ferment Pastrami toasty and it was amazing. I just wish there was a little more pastrami inside the toasty because the flavour was spot on. The staff were friendly and the setting is perfect for a day trip. A fun and easy place to stop for quality local food.

Been years since I was here. Its a little delight for cheese lovers with their signature Persian feta a must try. cheese tastings are v reasonable. staff friendly and really knowledgeable. also enjoyed the Yering Valley Apple cider.

We came here to particularly visit a cheese farm. Its a 1.30 hour drive but it was worth it. The shop and cafeteria is inside an old shed (maybe a milking shed), small but cosy. Its charming. There was a section where you can have a tasting of cheeses, a section where they have sll sorts of artisan goodies on sale and a few tables to sit down and eat. We had the Farm Platter which had cow's and goat's Cheeses with fresh bread, crackers, relish, quince paste and we added some olives & cold meat. It was delicious and superb! Bought some goodies too. The staff were very accommodating and friendly. Parking was plenty . Highly recommend this place.

Went for the cheese tasting and of course it was incredible. Unfortunately it is heavy with the the goats cheese (not a fan personally) so I could only try a few but so happy and very unique cheeses. Very kind and knowledgeable staff. They have some great condiments which would have been good if there was samples, I believe they would sell more if there was samples. Thank you!

We took some friends out for lunch and it was an overall excellent experience. The cheese was delicious, and the staff friendly. As we got our tasting platters, they pointed out which cheeses were which, and even recommended which ones to start with based on strength. Would definitely recommend.

Hands down one of the best brewery experiences we have EVER had. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable, the suggestions were terrific, the atmosphere was laid back. This is a VERY rare 10/10 experience.

This place was a fantastic start to our short weekend getaway! We enjoyed this brewery so much that we wanted to return a second night but we couldn’t get there before close. The pizza 🍕 is also very nice with the beer. 🍺

Let it be said, I’ve been to a lot of breweries. Watts River is unsurpassed. I walked into this courtyard full of kids playing and carrying on and I was like, “Well, this is different, but in a good way!” Truly a community establishment. I was likely the only tourist. Excellent beer, excellent pizza, and beyond excellent ambiance! And the prices are very fair! One word: SUPERB!

Welcomed by a friendly and cheerful crew who made us feel right at home. The setting is ideal, the vibe relaxed, like your spare living room you never knew you really needed until you got here. Had only a little time to kill, not enough to do justice to the surrounds, but we decided a brief sit was better than nothing. Endowed my 18yo son with his first ever introduction to "the paddle". A true Australian rite of passage. Solid selection of clean, characterful beers, with a fascinating (and delicious) aged brettanomyces version of the pale ale included. Definitely an easy place to recommend, for whenever you're in Healesville.

Amazing local Brewery. Fantastic core range and knowledgeable staff. If they have any left you should absolutely try the Belgian range. Can recommend. Also has space for kids to play.

Delicious beer and friendly team. We stopped by on the way back into Melbourne and it was great to find such good beer. They will take you through a taster explaining each beer and at the time we went the cost of the taster came off any purchase. In a gap between serving they were also happy to show around the brewery. Great start up, will definitely try to get back.

I enjoyed a delightful lunch at this gem of a winery that I had not previously heard of right in the outskirts of Healesville (near Healesville sanctuary). Although they do not offer a large menu, the variation and creativity of their dishes make up for this. Do not be afraid to come and experience this venue for yourself. We tried 3 of their small plates and 2 desserts and all were so delicious that we will be urging all our friends and family to come and try this place for themselves. (Could not post pics of small plates as we had nearly finished them before I remembered to take a photo 😆)

Such a beautiful, intimate venue with really lovely staff and great food! Alison and her team were very accomodating both in the lead up and on the day of Chris and Shi Ying's proposal. It’s a smaller winery, but absolutely stunning, good music playing in the background, great cider and the best blueberry margarita! 10/10 would come back!

Beautiful atmosphere and tasty blueberry desserts. Cool concept with using blueberries instead of grapes to make wine, definitely worth trying if you’ve never tried it before, but I wouldn’t go back particularly for their blueberry wines.

This is a really cool blueberry winery in the Yarra valley which has a cellar door and tastings available 🫐 They make apple and pear cider too 🍏🍐 The sparkling blueberry wine is so good! But they make a range, including a Rosé style blueberry wine which is great and is served chilled and a fortified blueberry wine too Go have a look if you’re in the Yarra valley 🍷 😎

Badger creek blueberry winery was the perfect venue for my husband’s 40th birthday party! Alison & team were great, from the seamless organisation to the ease of the celebrations on the day! The food was great, the stunning location and beautiful relaxed venue, the friendly vibe, all made the day a great time for all! Blossom festival $15 per adult. The cherry blossoms were very beautiful and great for photos. 11am is peak hour. Got crowded quickly. Come at the earliest time of 10am for better photo opportunities There is a kids hub with some kids activities and face painting is $12. Four food trucks, ice cream truck and cafe (drinks only?) Three large shaded sitting area on the grass, 9 benches that comfortably sit 6 adults Loads of car parking spaces Toilets were working and clean CFA truck also on hand for the kids to visit The live singer playing that day was excellent Pet friendly and lots of families brought their pets

We went here to go to the Blossom Festival today! It was a beautiful place to visit with very well maintained blossom trees. The scenery was beautiful! The staff at the entrance checking in tickets and selling merchandise had extremely excellent customer service! What a great day out at this location! Would come here again!

I took my granddaughters to the Blossom Farm it was fun. Lots of photo opportunities amongst the pretty trees. Lots of food and activities the cherry ice cream was great. The cherry shop had everything. They had a kids activity marquee which was good. I would have liked a tour guide or someone to talk to about the blossom to cherry 🍒 trees.

We came for the Blossom festival where we were amazed with the beautiful fields of cherry blossoms!! Large and spacious area for the family or for a date. It was a dog friendly experience, however the smell of poop filled the air in the communal areas and made it not so pleasant to stay for longer than usual.

It has plenty of parking🅿️🚗 available. It needs some walking distance toward the entry. Dogs on a leash and with good manners are welcome, except in the café area. They have pup cups (dog's ice cream🍦🍪) available. During the blossom season (pre-book and tickets are required), there are some decorated seats between the blossom trees, which are the beautiful spot to take photos. 🌸📸 I enjoyed the cherry soft serve so much, but it melted very fast. 🍒🍦 Got 2 bottles of cherry juice, which were made from 2kg of cherries before handing out🥤

We attended both the night event, and the day time Blossom Festival, and unfortunately the weather was not great for both of the events. This is no fault of the event organisers, but it did affect the atmosphere and the flowers themselves. The flowers were not in full bloom as I expected. They were nice, but nothing spectacular. A little bit disappointed for the time and money invested.

This railway is fantastic. Whilst the trip is short ( a bit over 1/2 hour all up) it’s very enjoyable riding the historic train, Looking forward to the day when the tracks are upgraded all the way to Yarra Glen.

They charged full price when they do not take you all the way into the tunnel. They have limited times they run, mostly in school holidays, so pick your times when you’re going to go. Great little hidden gem while you’re in town, unique to Healesville. Great people who run it.

Wow, what a ride, even tho it was a short trip and wet, still 100% worth it. Staff were very friendly and helpful and made the experience amazing. I would recommend doing it. You never know who you will meet.😀 Thank you, guys, for a wonderful afternoon And I look forward to returning soon.

There is nothing quite as quaint as riding in a vintage railcar through the countryside; hopefully the tunnel and tracks to Yarra Glen will be completed soon for a longer trip!

We came 5 minutes late and the staffs waited for us, during the trip they explain the history and geography of the landscape nearby. This is a volunteer organisation so remember to donate a gift to keep this going every one. People here loved their work and our family feels the passion, thank you everyone.

We accidentally stopped by Chandon Australia on our way to somewhere in the mountains, and it turned out to be a wonderful surprise! The views are absolutely stunning—feels like you pay hundreds but get a million-dollar experience. The architecture is beautiful and really adds to the atmosphere. The staff were all extremely friendly and provided superb service throughout our visit. We didn’t have a meal there since we were still full from lunch, but we did buy some wine to take home. Highly recommend stopping by if you’re in the area!

We went to wine tasting on Friday. It was cold winter outside, but the staff at tasting room he welcomed us with warming smiles;) He was very informative and little charm. All sparkling wine were very excellent especially red sparkling was something unusual. We didn’t have lunch but we will plan to come back in warmer season. Thank you for lively service.

I am so glad we chose to visit Chandon. It offers a relaxing, family-friendly atmosphere with consistently great service. We thoroughly enjoyed the excellent food and wine selections, all enhanced by the stunning views of the grape farms. This is a place I definitely should have visited one more time if I could have.

Beautiful place to visit with lovely cool weather during spring. They had some lovely flowers and plants at the garden. Unfortunately, it's not the right time for grapes viewing. The staffs were very courteous and friendly at the restaurant. They took the time to explain and recommend the food. Lunch was delicious. We had the cured and cultured platter and some chips. The duck, mushroom, potsto croquette and black garlic aioli was delicious as well. It went well the wine. We had a lovely time.

The place is so beautiful, the atmosphere is very nice. Wine is good, and food is good and fresh. The service staff is so nice and friendly, they have patience to explain the food and wine and made recommendations. Would go there again!

We order the special Winter Sunday. Minestrone soup was good but the beans inside were not cooked at all. Homemade Bread is good but only a one little piece per person, you have to pay for more bread, salted butter is really good. Lamb was dry, chewy and the portion was really small. Potatoes was cold. Vegetable really good. Dessert, Catalan cream, add extra10$ for this, is quite good but we wait 35min to receive it. 60$/each the menu + 10$ for dessert Quite expensive for this quality and nothing to do with the picture you can see on the google page of the restaurant. Waiter were really nice and smiling btw.

We celebrated our wedding anniversary in here in September. The weather was not that warm, so we got seated inside. Nice decore. The food was very tasty and fresh. 😊

Lovely setting and very nice wines but restaurant was extremely disappointing. The entree marrow was drowning in salt and oil and my steak was overcooked. I ordered rare and it was cooked well beyond medium - quite dry with no flowing juices at all. And charged $70 for this!! Dessert was good but not enough to make up for the rest of the overpriced poorly cooked meal. Definitely not recommended and we will not be back

My friends and I enjoyed a lovely long luxurious lunch at Tokar today with the most thoughtful, attentive and friendly service from Isabella and Ethan. We had several dietary requirements that were carefully considered by the chefs, which made such a difference to enjoying the meal. The food and wine were both excellent and the view stunning. We highly recommend Tokar and especially their staff for an excellent experience in the Yarra Valley.

This winery is sooo beautiful! Picturesque and just straight out of a dream. We had a lovely Sunday lunch here with an amazing bottle of their prosecco. The food was on point, we LOVED our experience here! Can't wait to go back.

Wine is ok, not the best this region can offer. Pinot Noir had “notes of cola lolly”!The cellar door was dated and pokey at the back of an ostentatious mansion. Staff were lovely

Hosted a baby shower here today and it was amazing. Location was insane and the food was to die for. Isabella went above and beyond to ensure the day was perfect. I couldn’t have done it without her!

Absolutely phenomenal experience from start to finish! This Italian gem delivers everything you could want—authentic flavors, warm ambiance, and impeccable service. The pasta was clearly homemade and cooked to perfection, and the sauces were rich and full of depth. The wine selection paired beautifully with our meal, and the tiramisu was the best I’ve ever had. Staff were attentive without being overbearing, and the atmosphere felt like a cozy slice of Italy. Can’t wait to come back!

I don’t know if it was an off day but all the food was below average. I ordered the seafood linguini and the pasta wasn’t cooked. Everyone was pretty disappointed with all there dishes especially the seafood which turns out to be a seafood soup. The owner was really rude to the lady’s on the floor and they were doing their best during the busy period. The owner needs to stay away and concentrate on the cooking instead of trying to force us to order the all you can eat. Spending $600 is a big let down on those meals

Affordable and high quality food. Absolutely spoilt by the chef himself which is a rare sight compared to other wineries in the region. If you go to any winery in the area and you don't come here you're missing out because honestly there's nothing like it.

Four of us came for lunch and shared the Set Menu Feast, for $60 a head - amazing 🤩 We shared an antipasto plate, 2 wood fire a vegetable and a capricosa pizza, a rigatoni Italian meatball pasta, seafood marinara linguini pasta and cannoli’s. Everything was delicious but the seafood marinara linguini and capricosa pizza were a stand out. Lovely service too!! We will be back!!

Many Hands Winery offers a beautiful vineyard view and serene ambiance. Luke, our waiter, was friendly, attentive and informative. The Shiraz wine, Bread with Oil and Balsamic vinegar, Vegetarian pizza with Bocconcini salad, and Cannoli with coffee were all excellent. While the staff was pleasant, the owner’s treatment of them was disappointing.

Very poor customer service from the owner. We asked for a Moscato, but he brought us a completely different wine. He kept insisting on what else we would order, which made us feel uncomfortable. With that kind of attitude, we preferred to dine somewhere else. On a positive note, the waitresses were lovely and the pizza was delicious. Unfortunately, we won’t be coming back. Hopefully, they can improve their communication and overall customer service in the future.

Second visit and significantly disappointed vs the first. Female staff all lovely and helpful. Male owner grumpy and demanding of staff, publicly swearing in front of customers and children. Margarita pizza was more tomato sauce than cheese. 15% Sunday surcharge. Generally average. The wine is lovely though.

Cheeseboard and cider make this a perfect lunchtime stop. The venue is popular and offer cellar door experiences, cider tastings plus a picnic lunch where you can make your own picnic hamper. Outside there were benches and picnic blankets and some live guitar music to enjoy. Service is friendly and welcoming too. We felt instantly welcomed as soon as we opened the door and walked into what would now be one of the best tasting experiences we have ever had in our long tenure of being avid wine drinkers.. Our lovely host was not only friendly and patient with us, she was also hilarious as well as knowledgeable and knew exactly what wine to put in front of us whilst having a chat and seeing what our characters were like that would pair with characters of the drops she poured into the glasses! Oh and can I just say, the COSMIC CRISP apples are to die for!!!! Yuuummmm 🍎 Do NOT miss the opportunity to visit this gem! You will not be disappointed !!!

We had a fantastic day at Punt Road Wins today, they provided a variety of roaming French canapés, free wine tasting and beautiful picnic baskets with cheese, bread, cheese, boards, and cheese knives to have a picnic on side and enjoy beautiful wines. The staff was super professional, friendly and very welcoming! We had such a wonderful day. The winery is gorgeous, the grassy are with the apples trees at the background is just mesmerizing such a gorgeous spot to be in a sunny relaxing day. 11/10!

Loved this winery. Location is amazing with big garden where to sit on too and they also provide picnic blankets to spend some time in the sun. We did both cider and wine tasting and it was a fun time. They have some award winners wines too and ciders from Chardonnay too that makes it very unique. What a good time.

Visited Punt Rd wines as part of our Hop it tour. One of the most interesting wine tastings I've ever had with a selection of unique wines like a white pinot noir, and orange wine with a savoury finish. Definitely something worth trying! We also did the cider tasting panel and put together a little cheeseboard to enjoy alongside our tastings which was a perfect start to the day.

We are so grateful that someone recommended this spot to us. We were headed to another tasting and just wanted to pop in but ended up staying and missing our next tasting because we enjoyed Emma and her winery so much :) To the atmosphere and decor, to the intimate setting and the tasty wines it’s a 10/10!! We walked away with three bottles, an experience we’ll never forget, and a person (Emma) we will always remember. You MUST go!

Exceptional wines and exceptional wine tasting experience! It's a small building, beautifully designed, very tasteful, fabulous views. Emma is the hostess with the mostest. I highly recommend the 2018 Chardonnay, the Cinz Amis 2016 and the stunning 2016 Nebbiolo, boutique wines, crafted with love. Highly recommended.

Maddens Rise is an absolute gem in the Yarra Valley! Stunning views, serene ambience and incredible value for money. Emma was a wonderful host — calm, friendly and so knowledgeable — guiding us through a beautiful selection of wines grown right in her backyard. This tasting felt unique and special compared to others I’ve been to in the yarra valley. I’ll definitely be back and highly recommend everyone visits. Emma is a lovely host!

10/10 - I’ve been on multiple Yarra Valley day trips and I can tell you that Maddens Rise is my favourite location for a cellar door! Generous servings, personal service (Emma was friendly and informative), rustic yet modern environment with impeccable decor and bathrooms, pet friendly (but only 2 dogs at a time to prevent disrupting other groups). Emma delivers a wine tasting experience that is second to none! Maddens Rise is a beautiful, family run winery with delicious wines with a gorgeous, humble cellar door. We left with a nice selection of wines and will certainly be coming back soon and bringing friends.

We came here for a Friday lunch for a birthday. The play equipment is great for kids, and it seems to have been fixed up and improved (based on other reviewers mentioning the poor condition). The wine was nice, coffee was good and the lady who greeted us was friendly and attentive (we were the only customers, so you’d hope so!) We were, however, disappointed with the limited menu (basically 4 type of meat with chips and salad), plus an array of dumplings. My lamb cutlets ($39) were overcooked and smelled slightly off - I mentioned this and they took it off the bill. It would have been nice if the meat/fish dishes came with some sauce, gravy or even a slice of lemon. There were no vegetarian options on the menu, but we were able to order vego meals in advance. My daughter really enjoyed her chips, nuggets and ice cream though! If this winery wants more customers, they really need to improve the range of menu offerings and the quality of the food.

We visited today for Father’s Day! We picked the venue because we love the idea of the playground/play areas for the kids and they are elite! If you’re looking for somewhere to go where the kids can play and you can have a cheeky glass of vino, it’s great! I don’t think we would go back for food though. It was a little underwhelming for the price. We paid $60 for a shared platter, but when it came out, it was not something exciting. The cheese was lacking and there were things like Saladas and a couple of rice cakes on it - I would expect nicer biscuits than that and nicer bread. The meat was good - salami, ham and prosciutto but other than that it was disappointing. The presentation was average, the type of food used was cheap looking, and it just didn’t seem worth the cost. However, the staff were friendly and we love the child friendly setting, but other than that it was disappointing. It may be what others are looking for though. Thank you for having us guys, hopefully this can be taken as helpful criticism for the future.

I recently had the pleasure of hosting my husband's surprise birthday party at, and I must say, the experience was absolutely exceptional! From start to finish, the staff went above and beyond to ensure that every detail was taken care of. The setting was beautiful, with stunning views of the vineyard and a warm, inviting atmosphere. The food and wine were outstanding, with a variety of options to suit every taste. But what truly made our experience special was the exceptional service we received from our server, Vivy Zhang. Vivy was attentive, friendly, and went out of his way to ensure that all our needs were met. He was knowledgeable about the menu and wine list, and offered excellent recommendations. The entire staff at were lovely and welcoming, making us feel like we were part of the family. I would highly recommend this winery restaurant to anyone looking for a special occasion venue or just a great dining experience. What a great place for families. We have 3 kids and they were all entertained. Great staff, lovely wine, food was basic but delicious. Although playground a little ran down aesthetically, the kids had a ball. Enjoy a wine in peace, whilst the kids are playing.

I’m sure this is a way for the Chinese to launder money, it’s not a winery. The play ground is a great idea but it’s old & in the carpark away from the winery. The wine is cheap & there’s a reason for it. The 1 employee had no idea about wine to the point where he couldn’t even pronounce the names. No food available. I wouldn’t waste your time when there’s so many beautiful legitimate wineries in this area.

Understaffed! The place was packed today and only one waiter doing everything. We left after almost 2 hours without having received our order. Playground area was great.

It was the last vineyard for the day and we squeezed ourselves in at 4.40pm. They shut at 5pm but still did the full circus or introductions of the flights we were tasting without rushing through it. Very interesting wines. The whites were all very unique and the GSM was especially nice

Our wine tasting experience at Pimpernel Vineyards was exceptional. After enjoying one of their wines at a local restaurant we decided to take a detour on the way to an outdoor concert. Dave was so informative and interesting for two wine novices. The selection of Pinot's, Chenin Blanc and GSM were delicious. Highly recommend a stop at this small boutique winery.

Great tasting at Pimpernel over the weekend. Mark the owner walked us through their offerings with detail and wit. Tastes of their wines are very much inline with a classical French style or classical Yarra Valley offerings. A couple of rare/unique varieties thrown in for good measure. Every wine is well constructed and holds its place well in the line up no throw aways. If you like the classic profiles you wont be disappointed.

An absolute highlight of our time in the Yarra Valley. Pimpernel offers one of the best tasting experiences in the region. Mark and Dave were exceptional hosts – knowledgeable, passionate, and generous with their time. You can truly feel the vineyard’s dedication to producing high-quality wines with a beautiful old-world influence. Every wine we tasted was thoughtful and refined – easily some of the best in the Yarra. A must-visit.

Pimpernells would have to be the best wine in the valley in our opinion. We live here and have tried a lot. The quality and style of winemaking is exceptional and we find our body’s never feel toxic after drinking it like we do with many other wines. The Pinots are my favourite but we LOVE their GSM and Shiraz too! We love their passion and the fact that it is a hands on family business where the whole family is involved and you get to meet them all and the rest of the awesome team involved and see their passion 👌

Beautiful location with amazing views of the surrounding countryside. We arrived just before close to buy some wine, and they offered us a free mini tasting. The staff were super chatty and knowledgeable, had a fantastic experience, and they gave us a free half a bottle of wine!

A small place but worth every minute spent here! The passion, dedication and knowledge of the staff just draws you into their wine selection - and they’re great! Do experience their wine tasting and learn all about its characteristics and processes while at it. It was an enjoyable experience and I highly recommend them! They’ve even got wine subscription services that you could sign up for!

Had zero expectations for this meal but it ended up appearing in my dreams at night. The prawn pizza is to die for. Perfect crust, perfect toppings, perfect flavour. I can eat the whole pizza myself, easily!!!! I'd give the fried chicken burger a pass. Also a beautiful estate to roam around

A tempting assortment for the pallette. Rissoto was well balanced in texturing and taste, Pizzas are precisely roasted with an assortment of well placed toppings. The desserts were also top-notch. But the atmosphere was way tpo crowded and noisy. Get a reservation beforehand.

Hubert Estate is a gem, boasting a breathtaking view with a vast green slope right next to the restaurant—perfect for a relaxing sunbathing break between lunch courses. The Margherita and Calabrese pizzas were outstanding, bursting with flavor and perfectly executed. The spicy burrata cauliflower was a surprising highlight, leaving a strong impression with its bold taste. The tiramisu, however, didn’t quite match the same level of excellence. Overall, a delightful dining experience in a stunning setting, well worth a visit!

Hubert Estate Winery is a fantastic spot for a weekend getaway. The atmosphere is super chill and incredibly healing, perfect for unwinding and escaping the city. I had a wonderful experience enjoying both the food and the wine, which were excellent. It’s an ideal place to relax, soak in the beautiful surroundings, and treat yourself to some quality time. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a peaceful and enjoyable winery visit!

Did a wine tasting without a reservation on a Saturday, tried 5 wines which we thoroughly enjoyed. The tasting service was great, really happy for all the wines to be poured and spoken about, then we could sit and chat amongst ourselves. Loved sitting on the couches. Only thing that I would provide feedback on were the children and adults kicking soccer balls around on the grassed area. As we were entering the cellar door, there were soccer balls being kicked and one almost landed on our heads as the ball dropped into the tunnel entrance. On our way out, there were different groups still playing with soccer balls.

This is my second time coming, everything was very well except for when my son is lactose intolerant. I have on purposely ordered no cheese on the angus beef burger. But they have still given the cheese. Which made him run to the bathroom almost immediately and it ruined the day. Even though the incident happened, he still loved the burger and other foods tasted outstanding.

We had a wonderful visit to Oak Tree Vineyard. Their Pinot Noir is beautiful. We had a lovely conversation with the owner Pam. I would highly recommend stopping by this family owned winery and absolutely buy their Pinot noir!!

Absolutely gorgeous little cellar door. Beautiful setting where you can relax and have a glass of wine in the garden. They give the kids free little packets of chips which was a lovely touch, we thoroughly enjoyed it!

Such a beautiful and welcoming spot with the most friendly and accomodating staff. We stopped for a quick tasting and had a chat with the owner who was ever so lovely. We loved the 2017 pilot noir and took a bottle for later. Very much recommend a visit.

What a beautiful place! Super friendly and great wine! We had a tasting with some cheese and olives, had a nice chat with the owner…felt pretty much at home! And this winery is also dog friendly!!!! Thank you! We’ll be back! Ps Oak Tree Vineyard is also easy access from the Yering-Lilydale trail! This is an excellent spot to stop and rest!

This cellar door is well worth a visit! Our group of 8 enjoyed our visit, which we cycled to from Lilydale station along the rail trail, and enjoyed the pre booked cheese box in the beautiful setting. I loved the 2021 rose, 2017 Pinot noir and 2017 cab sav. I highly recommend trying the wine and visiting.

Highly recommend. Opening up of the rail trail from Lilydale to Yarra Glen brings this winery right on to your doorstep. Oak Tree is situated up a short gentle uphill track, where you are rewarded with lovely views and lovely wines. Brian is a welcoming host; the cellar door is beautifully designed and built by his son. We will certainly be coming back

First time visiting a cherry farm and we loved it! Everything was clean, well organized, and the staff were very friendly. Our two-year-old had so much fun picking and tasting cherries. We also enjoyed the cherry jam, gin, and ice cream. The grassy area with bean bags and small play equipment was a great bonus. Only wish we had brought food for a picnic. Highly recommend! 🍒✨

The cherries are really fresh and sweet, the ticket price isn’t too high, and the ice cream here is also delicious. Definitely worth going.

My family and I, 17 of us with ages ranging from 4 to 78 years old, had so much fun in the CherryHill Orchards. The kids were running around and tried to outdo each other on who got the biggest and most number of cherries. For the first time, some OC family members did not mind eating the fruits without washing them first. It was a bonus to have a friendly and accommodating staff, reasonably priced entrance fee, and amazing view. It was totally worth the December 24, 2024 family bonding activity.

It’s a fun place for families, but if you want to buy the gift-box cherries, they are actually more expensive than in normal supermarkets. I went there last weekend — Luna cherries 32–34mm were $100 for 2kg, and the 30–32mm size was out of stock but I was told they would be $80 if available. Today, when I went to the supermarket by coincidence, I found CherryHill cherries: Luna 30–32mm, 2kg box, for only $58. It’s the same situation with Sequoia. At the CherryHill gift store, they sell 28–30mm cherries for $35 per kilo ($70 for 2kg), whereas the supermarket sells 30–32mm cherries for only $54 for 2kg. When people think that buying cherries directly from a cherry farm means fresher, better and cheaper, they end up paying extra for the exact same quality and essentially get ripped off. I suddenly felt so dumb — I drove an hour all the way there, and it turned out the supermarket just 10 minutes from home had exactly what I wanted, and for much cheaper. I’ve just updated the post and added four photos of the Luna 30–32mm cherries I bought from the market (I’ve already eaten quite a bit!). On the day I visited Cherryhill, this particular variety was sold out and unavailable, so I couldn’t take any comparison photos.

Posting right from the farm. Very disappointed. Crowd control is just ridiculous. You’re crowded by people, not cherries. You’re basically picking whatever is left behind, edible ones are few and most of which are just bland and tasteless, good ones are very rare. I’ve done cherry picking at cherry hill every year, but this session is easily the worst experience of all time. I don’t think I’ll come back again, unless they have really improved their crowd control.

Terrible experience at Cherry Hill. We were not allowed to visit because we didn’t have a booking — fine, except the website doesn’t say you can’t enter without one, so our one‑hour drive was wasted. We headed to the shop to buy cherries instead. We asked for the “sweet” cherries at $80 (2‑kg box, mid‑range option between the $70 mixed and $100 premium). After being told they were sold out, staff asked us to wait, then said more were coming. Twenty minutes later, we paid and left through the muddy parking. When we finally tried them, they turned out to be mixed, tasteless cherries. Imagine paying more than double Woolworths’ price per kilo, only to be tricked into buying the cheaper mixed cherries in “sweet” boxes. What a greedy business. Parking was also a muddy mess with no proper management. The whole setup feels like a tourist trap with inflated prices, poor service, and disrespectful staff. Definitely not recommended.

Absolutely 0 star experience. Would give 9 if I could. The staff either tried to nag your money or just says something disrespectful. The place is massive but the area you are allowed is like a kiddy play centre, tiny and boring. The cherries are ALL rotten and disgusting, with the ground muddy and has the worst terrain. If kids came, they either fall in the mud or eat cherries with mould. Don’t get me started on the horrible staff member that is highly disrespectful. Without a word of greeting, they simply ask for your ticket then gestures for you to leave. The cherries are all rotten, and tiny. It is bitter and sour and tastes nothing like a cherry, more like a lemon orchard. The pricing is highly unacceptable as well , costing a fortune compared to other u pick farms. This is the worst u pick farm in the whole of melbourne by far, do not come here unless you want to deal with the horrible staff or eat mouldy cherries.

A very pleasant experience was had by my husband and myself with a wine tasting in the Yarra Valley. This family owned boutique winery produces excellent wines at very reasonable prices. It was a joy to be welcomed and looked after by the owners of this winery. A 5 Star experience! Margaret

Highly recommend booking an appointment at Copperhead, Amy and her family welcomed us with open arms, even Luigi the dog was excited to see us! Wonderful tasting in the wine production area and finished the tasting off whilst walking throughout the stunning gardens on the property. Prices are extremely reasonable looking forward to visiting again soon.

I highly recommend booking a tasting at this small winery, it’s well worth a visit. We enjoyed our tasting with one of the owners of this family-run vineyard, and the wines were all delicious and good value for money. The 2020 Chardonnay and 2017 Shiraz were both delicious and we loved meeting their dog who came out to say hello.

A true hidden gem of the Yarra Valley. We got to speak with the family and try all the lovely wines. My favourite is the Shiraz. If you are looking for a relaxed authentic experience then make sure you book a tasting appointment here.

Absolutely love their Shiraz. Better than a large winery because you have to book a tasting and get a much more personalised experience. Chat with the maker. They have a range to suit all tastes. We will be back.

Copperhead is an absolute hidden jem within the Yarra Valley. After visiting the bigger wineries in the region it was so good to have an intimate tasting experience. The wines are the best in the area and it is well worth a vist. 10/10.
