Lagoa do Cauipe is an amazing spot! It’s right next to the sea, separated only by a narrow strip of sand. The strong winds make it perfect for kitesurfing, especially for beginners — the lagoon is shallow and wave-free, which makes learning much easier.
There are several barracas (food stalls) around offering snacks and bottled drinks, but I wouldn’t recommend eating there. Hygiene standards are questionable, and most of the food is deep-fried. Best to bring your own snacks and simply enjoy the scenery and great kitesurfing conditions!
