This place has a large variety of amber jewelry and suverniors which are really great designs. The staff is really nice and they tell you all about amber and the history of the industry in Nida. Prices are not the cheapest I have seen in the region but some products are really good so you can check out and decide.

Small exhibition of life in the spit over the last 200 years or so, and a few prehistoric items of pottery and flint heads. Found it interesting it was a real East Prussian getaway location for the well healed, and for artists and intellectuals, especially Germans.

Thomas Mann Culture Centre is a kind of visiting card of Nida) Located in a picturesque place this museum will pleasantly surprise you. There's no problem finding it when you're walking alongside Pamario gatve. The admirers of Thomas Mann's talent will enjoy Culture Centre so much. It is housed in one wooden two-storey building; small like all museums and sightseeing locations in Nida. On the other side, it doesn't seem provincial. Evaluate the unique concept of the museum - a combination of history, personal story and story of the Mann's family, modern design and the latest technology. There are nice exhibitions with animated elements and description in Lithuanian, English and German. Finally, you can go outside and enjoy the beautiful view of pine forest breathing a fresh sea air and smell of pine needles.

A wonderful surprise discovery. A beautiful natural setting for a very interesting cultural and historical story. Loved everything about it. How would I improve it? Encourage the lady at the reception to smile, be nicer and to proactively propose the audio guide which has a lot of informing in English, add the possibility to purchase actual books by Mann incl English. Otherwise- loved it. Plus coffee was delicious (Jura). A lot of connections to Switzerland too.

Very nice place which is situated in or near OZAS geological park. Many rudiments you can obverse as this tiny little lake. Children has a nice place where to play (a multiple outdoor construction) Much place for adults and aging people. You can find the rudiment of the past- a stone which can be fitted for the throne chair. Wonderful!!!!

You should go there because it is a very interesting place and you should not miss the beautiful view from the terrace. There you could listen to the audio guide which is also available in German and English.

Must see place for all enthusiasts of Thomas Mann novels. It was his summer house. It is located in picturesque fishing village of Nida on the Curonian Spit, a narrow long headland n the Baltic Sea.

Fascinating small museum that displays the life and living conditions of fishing families eking out a living on the shores of the Coronian Sea. The artefacts and photographs predominantly originate from the early 1900's before the impact of holiday makers and tourism changed the lives of the fishing communities for ever. Enthusiastic staff, inexpensive entry, an hour well spent. I recommend it.

Visited in Sep 2025 Stopped by this place for lunch during our day trip to the Curonian Spit. This establishment is famous for its smoked fish preparations. We ordered one Sea Bream and the size was good enough for 3 ppl. We were also given some complimentary bread. The restaurant also has a few beers on tap. All in all, a decent place to stop by for lunch if you’re visiting the Curonian Spit.

Everytime we visit Nida we go to Jonas for some fresh smoked fish. We got a Perch (Ešerys) this time and it was delicious. On the board (2025-09-12) it said that the fresh fosh will be around 12:30 and 17:30. Sit at the table, go to the bar and get a beer while you wait for the fish to be pulled out. Get the fish, pay and go to the bar to grab some free bread. The enjoy the moment!

Pas Joną is a special place. They are smoking fish themselves, you can buy it directly outside. For drinks, chips, the delicious fish soup, sides and drinks are sold inside. You can pay by card. The fish was perfect and everything else as well! You can sit with a nice water view as a cherry on top.

We arrived here (hungry) one July evening in the pouring summer rain of 2025; very, very good smoked fish with beer and wine available too. Far from fancy but yummy. The fish is sold by weight at the counter. We had a catfish that was delicious (and meltingly soft).

Absolutely worth going to Nida just to get some freshly smoked fish with their signature fish soup. We were a group of 7 and everyone was just completely blown away by how good the soup was, it was an absolute highlight (albeit pricey). There was no talking at the table when soup was served, everyone was just in the world of their own trying to enjoy the soup. Smoked eel was the best we have ever had, everyone was speechless there too. Smoked flounder was also spectacular. Bream roe pancakes were very special, a must try! Went there everyday during our stay. A must visit destination when in Neringa.

Best amber museum we have been to (and we seen many collections in different countries)🙏😍 Extremely well designed experience and beautiful collection. Here we learned about whole amber history from formation to how it has been used. Moreover, we came late ~ 17.30 and then tour they stream started at 17.00 so they offered us half the price for entry. Very grateful! Staff answered all questions. Shop is unique but of course overpriced as it gets with museums🌊

Nice and pleasant stop for a coffee with locally baked cake. The staff is old and grumpy but it doesn't ruin. The taste of the cakes.

The coffee was nothing special, but the freshly baked plum pie was absolutely delicious - flavourful, warm, and clearly made with care. Unfortunately, the service left much to be desired. Dirty dishes were left on tables, and the tabletops hadn’t been cleaned, which took away from the overall experience. Still, the quality of the pie made up for some of the shortcomings. Overall, a 7/10.

Even though the shopkeeper knew literally only few words in English I managed to buy few delicious, freshly baked, artisan pastries. We tried kibinai with different filling (baked, yeast dough based, shaped like polish pierogi) and stuffed croissants (with marzipan - stole my heart). We also drunk coffee but as we are speciality coffee lovers we didn't appreciate it much. Anyway - best place for a good, fresh snack.

Nice views from the viewing platform. The space up is rather limited - we were lucky to be alone up there. The walk up the winding staircase is not too long, only the ladder at the very end is slightly challenging (steep and rather tight). The walk up through the forest is okay, but not worth the trip on its own. The entrance fee of 5€ is okay to go to the top - even though as a couple of two adults you pay more than a family of four (rather strange logic).

Google maps indicates wrong coordinates but a lot of tourists and locals can help you. The next step is to pay an entrance fee (5 euros!). Finally, you have to climb the stairs to the top. It's not so difficult. On the contrary, fast and exciting. I advise to take warm clothes for yourself because of the strong wind at the top of the lighthouse. You will spend a little time there but the view is fantastic, breathtaking and unbelievable. Curonian spit, Baltic sea, dunes, pine forests... Really stunning views! It's a good idea to have a walk around after the visiting lighthouse.

Great views over towards the border with Kaliningrad. A few market stalls selling gifts. Toilet facilities are present but not great. Ensure you have mosquito repellent.

Super recommend a visit to the sundial. It sits atop the largest dune outside of Nida, Lithuania - a beautiful quaint town sitting between the sea and interior bay facing Klaipeda. From this high viewpoint, you can see the border to Russia’s Kalingrad. The hike takes 15-20min from downtown Nida and it is a bit strenuous but lots of resting places with benches. Views are gorgeous. Highly recommend.

That was the last place we visited on our "Tour de Curonian Spit" and it was like a cherry on top. The only disadvantage of this place is lack of parking places, but there are big road works around so let's hope it will change soon. After reaching the top we admired the sun clock and the view from an observation desk on a whole valley, sea and bay. It could have been the end of the tour but we found out that we can go down on dunes and walk around the valley. It was awesome - wild, empty space, walked by few people only, we literally passed one person in the begging and a group of 5 young people on our way back. The best place to discover dunes on Curonian Spit!

We had a nice evening here. The staff is friendly, and the menu comes with a short & helpful explanation of the meat. Good wine, and very good dessert (we tried the one with hazelnut ice cream). The steaks we had were good, but not amazing.

Really good eggs Benedict. Well it takes some time but you're on vacation anyway. We also had a dinner here and were not amazed. I had New York strip. Meat was really good. But serving with fries only dissapointed me. For such price range I would expect something more fancy. Overall food is good and servings are big.

This was something special. It was one of the best steak dinner. I have amazing food (shrimps/ tar tar and steak) good wine card. Service was very kind and helpful. Dont miss to try dessert there! They are more than exellent!

Biggest dunes in Lithuania, dangerous to climb to the top of edges, but there is plenty area to explore on foot. Some places reminds desert and on sunny day it can be very hot on sand especialy deep in valled between dunes. Be sure to take enough water to drink and some cover from sun, if you wanna walk all around in valley of dunes.

New, modern church, inside aesteticaly beautifull mix of light wood and white paint. Nice design inside. Could be more place to sit inside, but good thing that outside there are way more sitting place.

The lady in the tourist office advised us to visit this site, and we were well-rewarded! Extremely interesting phenomenon of the moving sand dune, of such enormous size that the town of Nida had to be moved away to a new location, and the old one was covered. The climb up was a bit strenuous, but the boardwalk is well maintained. A unique experience, highly recommended.
