Cetinje Monastery is a significant Christian Orthodox site in Montenegro, built in 1704 on medieval ruins. Located in the heart of Cetinje, this monastery holds sacred relics and serves as the seat of the Metropolitanate of Montenegro. As the former capital of Montenegro, Cetinje boasts rich history and cultural attractions, including the Mausoleum of Prince Danilo and The Royal Theater Zetski dom.
There is not much access but it is still a beautiful and spiritual place to visit and in my opinion, very worthwhile to check out. Some beautiful icons in the chapel that you are allowed to visit. There are no photos allowed.
Phae D — Google review
After lunch we arrived to Cetinje Monastery and hanged around. It’s interesting indeed and the nature around is worth all hours we drove. Impressive construction
Shukhrat U — Google review
🌿✨ A Sacred Pause in Montenegro’s Heart Cetinje Monastery isn’t just a stop on the map—it’s a breath of stillness wrapped in white stone and centuries of devotion. Nestled in the historic town of Cetinje, this Orthodox sanctuary holds relics that stir the soul: the right hand of John the Baptist, fragments of the Holy Cross, and the remains of Saint Peter of Cetinje. Even if you’re not religious, the atmosphere invites quiet reflection. The icons glow softly in the chapel, and though photography is forbidden inside, the memory lingers like incense. Modest clothing is required—this is a living place of worship, not just a tourist site. I arrived after lunch, and the surrounding nature made the drive worthwhile. The monastery opens daily at 8 AM, and entry is free—a rare gift in a world of ticketed experiences. 🕊️ Whether you’re chasing history, spirituality, or simply a moment of peace, Cetinje Monastery offers all three.
Laurence H — Google review
Cetinje Monastery is a fascinating and historically rich site, and I highly recommend visiting if you’re in the area. The monastery holds significant cultural and religious importance in Montenegro, and walking through its grounds offers a glimpse into the country’s deep-rooted heritage. The architecture is beautiful and well-preserved, and the peaceful atmosphere makes it a great place for reflection. Inside, you can find sacred relics and valuable artifacts that speak to the monastery’s long history. While the site itself is not very large, it’s still worth a visit, especially for those interested in history and spirituality. The surrounding town of Cetinje also has a charming, old-world feel, making it a great place to explore before or after your visit to the monastery. Overall, Cetinje Monastery is a must-see if you’re nearby, and it’s a great stop to understand more about Montenegro’s cultural and religious past.
Alex S — Google review
From a tourist’s perspective, it’s interesting to see how the monastery functions. There are also monks living inside, and you can talk with them. They have certain rules about covering up: if you’re wearing shorts, they will give you a cloth to tie around your waist so you can enter and explore the monastery
El B — Google review
Looks beautiful from the outside. Since it’s a place of worship, modest clothing is required. Unfortunately, I couldn’t enter because my outfit wasn’t appropriate.
Hilal A — Google review
This monastery is a very beautiful and serene place, definitely worth a visit. Please note that it's a religious site, so you'll be asked to dress modestly, avoid carrying cameras, and refrain from smoking. Inside, there's a souvenir shop where you can purchase mementos.
Mohamed A — Google review
It looks fantastic. You can get inside, but you should be respectful and do not disturb the monks

The Ethnographic Museum of Montenegro is part of the National Museum located in Cetinje, Montenegro's Old Royal Capital. It is one of four museums within the complex, showcasing a diverse range of exhibits. The museum offers insights into Montenegrin heritage through its displays, including artifacts and cultural items. Visitors can also explore the Art Museum with works by renowned artists like Dali and Picasso.
Amazing little gem of a museum with a very interesting exhibition on the traditional life and customs in the rural Montenegro. Invested one hour here while waiting on my bus departure and it was a convenient time span for seeing all exhibits and reading all of the accompanying texts. One clearly should've seen this museum during his or her stay here in Cetinje in my opinion!
TheGeorg278 — Google review
Ethnography museums are my favourite types of museums. I love to learn about the cultures, customs, beliefs and living conditions of people centuries ago. This is a good little museum, I was pleased to see information boards throughout and exhibits labelled. Why only three stars? I can only compare to the many Ethnographic museums I visited around the World which are so much bigger and cover many more aspects of historic culture.
Miles M — Google review
Really nice small museum, everything described also in English, totally worth visiting.
Anda I — Google review
Small museum with some well preserved pieces. The admission includes an audio guide on your own phone via app. Good stop for half an hour to an hour in Cetinje.
Kaya W — Google review
Interesting and worth a visit, although nothing super special. The top floor is probably the best, with some impressive old folk costumes, guns and swords etc. Unlike many museums there is good labelling in English.
Stephen P — Google review
Small but nice museum. Would love to see more interactive parts of the exhibition but that would be difficult given the size
Nikita P — Google review
Fabulous little museum. See it with King Nick’s next door. Both terrific. Everything here was interesting. The costumes displays are fascinating and beautiful
Jeremy K — Google review
What a cute little museum. Great examples of clothing, fibers, households. Not huge, but the second floor is a gem of historical and regional garments. Worthwhile stop in center of town. Only negative is the lingering smell of cigarette smoke throughout the building.

The National Museum of Montenegro is a vast complex with five departments showcasing historical, cultural, and art exhibits. It also houses art galleries and offers an interesting collection of artworks that shed light on the country's cultural heritage. The museum provides an opportunity to explore the history of Montenegro through various exhibitions. Additionally, visitors can venture into the majestic Lovcen National Park, which is home to diverse landscapes and endemic plant and animal species. The park offers hiking and cycling trails for nature enthusiasts.
Finally managed to find a museum in this country. It was worth travelling to this city just for the museum. €3 entrance is worth it. The 1900's history is more interesting as there's more than just old coins and flags to look at. Glad to learn more about the Montenegrin identity, especially through the conversation I had with the museum guide who helped me better understand why Montenegro is an ecological state. Thank you for an enlightening conversation and I do hope that Montenegro will do its best to protect its beautiful nature, the beaches and the sea as much as it is willing to protect the mountains. Tourists will still come, just a better and more respectful bunch who can appreciate this beautiful country. The building is nice, the courtyard should be opened to paid visitors too.

Historical mesuem is temporarily CLOSE at the moment for at least 5 year according to a staff here. This building locate both historial and fine art mesuem, the former one is currently under renewation, fine art museum is operating as usual. I missed to check with the offical website, came here all the way just seeing the info for google map abt National Museum😭 Hope that not happen to you. The staff I met today is nice, will to speck English, informaive.

According to 10/2025 Its close for renewal, the lady at the counter was very nice, and told us that it will take approximately 10 years! But pay attention! The art museum in the same building is open. The gallery is not so big, but there are nice painting. The main object is "The lady of philermos" a rare icon of maria.
Shahar K — Google review
I can't give a full review because half the museum was closed but it's a nice building
Elk H — Google review
For a museum it is beautiful, and really interesting. For a national museum it is pretty disappointing. It shows a lot of Archaeological findings, tells the story of the history of the countery. It is a little bit confusing, and jumps through different times very frequently
Gilad W — Google review
Beautiful building, some interesting things inside. Worth a visit.

Lots of really interesting information but it could be better presented in an engaging way rather than lots of artefacts in cases. Really interesting section about the Yugoslav wars… particularly the part the Montenegrins played in their “dark past.”

The King Nicholas Museum, located in Cetinje, offers a captivating glimpse into Montenegrin life during the 19th and early 20th centuries. The museum showcases original items, rural townhouse interiors, and traditional folk costumes. It also features an array of historical artifacts such as weaponry, clothing, coins, paintings, portraits, personal items, dinnerware and furniture from that era.
Nice lady at reception who wants you to see everything Cetinje has to offer. If you get the combo ticket which includes the Njegos Mausoleum, you’ll get a great deal. remember to download the audio guide as an app before starting the tour. Library was no where to be seen but everything else was nice. Last entry is at 4pm.
Honest Y — Google review
I visited the museum on a Friday, and it was pleasantly quiet with not much of a crowd. The entry fee is 8 euros. They offer an app for an audio tour, which I would recommend downloading to enhance your visit. Whether it's worth the 8 euros is debatable, but if you find yourself nearby, it's still worth checking out.
Mohamed A — Google review
If you are planning to visit all the museums in Cetinje, buy the combo ticket. It will save you some money doing that. The Museum of King Nikola is a small-ish museum, but well preserved. The lady who works at the ticket counter was very helpful. They have a problem with the electricity on the day of our visit, and the toilet is closed. They have an audio guide in several languages that you can download after buying the ticket. It gives you a good overview of what's being displayed and the history behind them. If you are already making it to Cetinje, then absolutely pay a visit, if not. I think you are not missing too much. I will not go to Cetinje just to visit the museum, but since we are in the area we went, and we had a good time.
Tabi H — Google review
A small, but well preserved and curated museum about King Nikola and his family. You get an audio guide with the ticket and unless there’s a group tour you’ll be pretty much alone. You are not allowed to take pictures inside. There are many more rooms than are currently open to the public. The toilet was still broken when we went there (mentioned in a review 3 months ago). The building is also currently being renovated on the outside and is wrapped in scaffolding.
Kaya W — Google review
If you're in Cetinje, you've absolutely got to check out King Nikola's Museum. It’s sat right on Dvorski Trg, which is just a lovely spot. The whole square is surrounded by grand old buildings and has a really nice, chilled-out vibe.
Lazar J — Google review
Beautiful pieces of art. Worth visiting.
Ramez M — Google review
Nice museum. Part of the few museums in the city, wich you can buy a bundle ticket for all of them for 10 euro. The museum offers a mobile english guide, wich i found helpful. The museum itself is not so exiting, just showed the way of living by the royal family back in the day.. mostly art and laxury furniture. Unfortunately the national museum is closed for renewal, so ee couldn't hear about the actual history of Montenegro and the simple people that made it. *There is no toilet in the museum*
Shahar K — Google review
Nice museum of the original house for King Nicholas and his family. The museum attempts to reconstruct the exact way the family used to live in the house. Different rooms allow visitors to have a glimpse of the royal daily life at the time. The museum also has a display of weaponry, clothing, coins, paintings and portraits, personal items, dinnerware, stamps and of course furniture of that period some even original from the house. The museum costs 5 euro per person to be paid in cash. We received a paper flyer in English describing the rooms which was helpful since the museum doesn’t have any write up in front of it in the rooms. We had to return the flyer upon exit. The museum is overall well maintained. One would start on the first floor with two large rooms to visit and then move up to the top floor with all family rooms and their intriguing history.

Billiard Palace, also known as Biljarda, is a museum in Cetinje, Montenegro that was once the residence of Peter II Petrovic Njegos, a prominent poet and philosopher. Built in 1838 with Russian financing, it housed Montenegro's first billiard table. The museum displays Njegos' personal belongings including his library and manuscripts. Visitors can explore military costumes, photos of soldiers, and exquisitely decorated weapons on the bottom floor.
Nice museum with a low entrance fee of €5 to get to know more about Montenegro's history. There are lots of paintings, weapons, and old objects like coins. The entrance also grants you access to the Relief Map of Montenegro, which is quite cool to see.
Bart B — Google review
There is plenty to see here with the upper floor showcasing details and many items relating to this famous man's life. You do get a leaflet (English in my case) giving an overview of the contents of each room but you have to give this back when you leave. I've only given three stars because I think more could be done in presenting this collection. As with the Ethnographic museum I would like to see information boards and item descriptions in each room, perhaps even an audio guide. As for the ground floor collection of generic items relating to this period, there is no information at all. I did enjoy the 3D model (Relief) of Montenegro housed in a seperate building which you're guided to at the end of your visit.
Miles M — Google review
We had a good time strolling around various collections, paintings, and items from an important figure and family for Montenegro's history. the very friendly curator miss. Markovic informed us with some great national history background, to put it all a bit more into perspective. very thankful about that! And the relief is just cool to see, especially for a geography buff like me!

Shukhrat U — Google review
Absolutely wonderful museum. So much to learn about the history of Montenegro through a broad range of exhibits with good English text. Clothing, furniture, weapons, books, paintings and of course the billiard table — and that’s only the upper level dedicated to Njegos and his family. (A real highlight is all the beautiful paintings done over more than 40 years by Pero Pocek, a famous Montenegrin painter.) Then the lower level is a walk through the ethnographic history of the country, with fascinating exhibits primarily focused on household items and clothing. The huge relief map of Montenegro is also very interesting. While the museum itself is well worth seeing, my visit was made even more special by the excellent information provided by Natasha Markovic who took the time to explain so much to me about the history and culture of Montenegro and to talk to me about many of the exhibits. This was truly one of the best museum experiences I’ve had during 6 weeks in the Balkans and I highly recommend a visit!

The Museum of Money, located in the town of Cetinje, is housed in the former government house of Montenegro. It offers a clear and concise overview of the country's history, archaeology, and culture. Visitors can explore a diverse range of exhibits, including a notable collection of Montenegrin icons painted by Russian and Italian artists. The museum also features an impressive display of ancient coins that captivate visitors.
Probably the best curated museum in Cetinje. The museum building was converted from the old Montenegro Central Bank. The exhibition is more than just the money. The story of Montenegro was told through the exhibition of their currency systems over centuries. People working there are super passionate. Must-see!
Yang Z — Google review
Didn't have much expectations with this museum as all other museums in Cetinje were underwhelming for us. But i was so wrong with this one! Very well curated with abundant information about each exhibit. Information is displayed in English language as well. Best place to learn history about money in Montenegro and Balkan regions. Exhibits are displayed over 2 floors. When we visited, there was no one else. We had the full museum to ourselves. Best part, it's free!
Shruti P — Google review
I am genuinely happy I came to this town and stepped in this museum ! I learned a lot through the currencies Monténégro used throughout its history and by that wrote it's history. Very informative ! Besides a great exhibition the staff was very friendly. Info : they close at 4PM (not at 5PM as displayed...). I got told so by the staff. Also they are aware the wrong opening hours are displayed... but don't change it. 100% recommendation to visit !

We had read about this museum, but did not really know what to expect. When we found the address, and opened the door, the museum looked almost closed. But a guard stood up, turned on all the lights and welcomed us inside. Then a staff member came down from the 1. floor. We looked around on all of the displays, the staff turned on the machine in the room on the ground floor. We asked if it was ok to go to the 1. floor, which they said it was. It was nice to see that part also. All in all a surprisingly good experience. With no entry fee (at least not the day we went there). We visited the museum as part of a day where we visited the Lipa Cave and then had lunch at one of the lovely restaurants in Cetinje. All in all a wonderful day.

The museum is nice. However, the staff in there was rude and had unacceptable behaviors. As he was speaking in high volume with his phone, he started to shout agresively to our little child (4 years old) in his language due to the child sing a song in lower volume than the staff. So, it was not a good experience.

If you're interested in libraries, as we are, don't bother to go there. We were there yesterday an hour before their closing time and the guard didn't allow us to visit it and told us to come the next day. So, today we went there no matter the heat and the sun and the guard that was there this morning first said that we could not enter because there was nothing in English. Then, when we said that we didn't mind, he invented a new excuse and said that we couldn't enter wearing shorts, even if they weren't really short and it was not a religious centre. My question is why is it even "open" and those guards get a salary for literally doing NOTHING? Today's guard was smoking and looking at the ceiling when we entered. So terribly sad.

The Relief of Montenegro is an impressive map that vividly showcases the mountainous terrain of Montenegro. This large-scale map allows visitors to easily identify and appreciate the various cities within the country. Housed in a glass room, this remarkable display can be viewed by purchasing tickets for the adjacent museum. Accessible only to museum-goers, it offers a unique perspective on Montenegro's topography.
Cool map which makes you realise how mountaineous Montenegro is. It's cool that you can see the actual cities and pick them out. The map is very big and located in a hot glass room. If you want to visit it, you should simply buy tickets for the museum next door. It's behind closed doors and inaccessible without a museum ticket.

Interesting but not really worth a visit in my opinion although I'm generally keen on maps and geography. It looks loveless and colourless, details are not precise, there is no good orientation on the map as location name tags are missing, and from the platform you cannot see all areas from close.

(Translated by Google) The map was made in 1916, an amazing job was done. My family and I traveled a lot around Montenegro, and it was very interesting for us to examine the places we visited in detail in the relief, to compare the past and the present, to understand the scale of the mountainous and flat areas. I began to imagine the places we travel much better.

Prominent cave with 1.6 miles' worth of passages lined with otherworldly stalagmites & stalactites.
Very great experience, if you've never visited caves before. Do take clothes with you, cause it's quite cold inside, about 10 degrees Celcium. You will be guided by personal with great English.

Such an enjoyable trip, you go down on a small train to the cave and then walk through. Really knowledgeable guide took us around. Very interesting and beautiful place. Whole tour takes about an hour. It's cold in the cave, around 10 degrees so take warm clothes.

A very nice stalgamate cave. A tour departs from the information center every so often and includes a cute road train ride of 5 minutes to the cave and another hour or so inside There's an informative guide detailing the history of the cave and other information.
Tomer A — Google review
Very nice and interesting tour, definitely worth it. Check on the cave webpage for tour start hours and prices (we paid 15,9€ per person) and make sure you arrive early enough to catch a train that drives you to the cave entrance. It's 45min guided tour. Make sure to bring something worm with you since inside temperature is around 10 degrees.
Tilen Š — Google review
The cave complex includes a nice visitor’s center with a cafe and large outdoor terrace, where guests wait for their tour time. A small shuttle then takes approximately 50 people at a time to the caves themselves. The tour is guided and provides a history of the caves, geology, and some interesting notes. The tour itself is approximately 45 minutes. The caves have a well-maintained concrete trail, and the lighting is good. The caves are similar to others of their kind around the world, but nonetheless, worthwhile. The nearby town of Cetinje is also worth exploring and is a good spot for a meal either before or after the tour.

Unforgettable experience, a total must visit when staying in Montenegro. We were with a 3,8 years old toddler and that was an exciting and safe experience for our whole family. Important thing - check the hours since the visit happens only on the group trip, which happens every 15-30 mins during the summer season. Also they offer more adventurous tours for adults and 5+ kids, which I am sure are worth of it. In this case request and booking in advance should be done via email.
Anastasiya L — Google review
Well designed pathing without being too intrusive to the natural environment. Would be better if people behaved (as in no touching of the delicate stalactites and stalagmites, no yelling, being quiet when the guide is explaining, etc.). The guide was new but had all the facts about the cave and was able to answer more specific questions too. Worth the money.
Kaya W — Google review
All well organized. Small nice cave. You go with small train. Walk inside with a guide. Overall experience time about 1h. Pic with flash not allowed. Not possible to get tickets in advance. Arrive early as if you arrive to near visit time you might not get tickets to the visit you were aiming, instead you are allocated to the next one. Bottleneck is prob the small ‘train’ that takes you to the caves size.

The area is rich in history and medieval architecture, making it a popular destination for travelers seeking cultural experiences.
Wow, I'm so glad that I elongated my Balkan trip for some days to take a stop at Cetinje - otherwise I hadn't have the luck to see this precious mountain jewel. Wonderful scenery, amazing hiking trails and breathtaking views - just marvellous.

The park is beautiful, with incredible views, we can see a lot of nature, many birds, and sometimes we see foxes and coyotes. There's a picnic area near Ivanova Korita, with swings, a playhouse for children, tables, and even a barbecue area and very close by there is a restaurant and hotel. There is also malzoleo at the top of the mountain, It has a very beautiful view of Lake Skoder and the Budva Sea.

Just to clarify something before the review. Lovćen is the whole mountain. The peak with Petar II Petrović Njegoš mausoleum is called Jezerski Vrh 1459 meters high. Easy to access by road with a "few" steps to the top. Well worth the visit for the view. Don't expect much from the restaurant. The final path to the view point is not for the faint hearted. The one with the telecom tower is called Stirovnik 1749 meters high. Great to hike up to. There is a rough road right up to the top. You need SUV but 4x4 is not necessary. Fantastic view. You can see four maybe 5 different countries from the top on a good clear day. This relay is manned at all times.

Rijeka Crnojevića Bridge, also known as Cetinje Bridge, is a picturesque spot that offers a tranquil and serene experience. The area is surrounded by lush greenery and provides the perfect setting for a leisurely boat ride or a peaceful walk along the river. Pavlova Strana Viewpoint offers a breathtaking view of the mountainous vista of Lake Skadar in Montenegro. The roads leading to the viewpoint are narrow and can be challenging for inexperienced drivers, but the stunning scenery makes it worth the journey. Visitors can enjoy a restaurant and parking facilities at the viewpoint. Additionally, there is a nearby vineyard that offers excellent red wine. However, caution is advised when driving on the steep and uneven roads leading to this popular tourist spot.
The viewpoint overlooking the bend of the Crnojević River is absolutely stunning – a truly breathtaking sight! It’s one of those places you simply have to see for yourself, as no photo can fully capture its beauty. The view of the winding river surrounded by lush green hills is unforgettable – in fact, it’s a much better experience than a boat trip on Lake Skadar. Just a short drive downhill from the viewpoint, there’s a small village where you can taste delicious local fish – fresh and full of flavor. It’s the perfect combination of spectacular scenery and authentic Montenegrin cuisine
Kasia Z — Google review
A great viewpoint with amazing views of the river and the mountains. The road that is a serpentine on the way down is not so easy it is a single track road with quite tight turns, we were lucky we are in a small rental car and that no one was coming the other way. There is a restaurant there to stop at then you can walk the short distance to the best view point.
Graeme T — Google review
Beautiful view! The road down to the lookout is dicey, lucky we had a small car. There appeared to be other easier road options but not for our route - we were going from Podgorica to Cetinje.
Sasha B — Google review
A magnificent viewpoint! And also accessible from the road without paying any fees. You can park your car close to the restaurant and even climb a little higher in order to have a better view.
Яна Т — Google review
In the heart of the Skadar Lake National Park, Pavlova Strana (lookout point) is a scene that takes your breath away - the Crnojevića River forms a perfect "horseshoe", and the green slopes and water drowned in silence look like paintings. Photogenicity is second to none; it is no coincidence that this is perhaps the most famous view of Skadar Lake. The experience is special in the golden hours: early morning and late afternoon give the softest light and the most beautiful reflections in the water - ideal for photos and a short stay with a view to remember. Access is possible by car; the road is narrow, winding and in places one-way, but it leads straight to the point from which the entire "horseshoe" can be seen. As a landmark, many also mention the old/abandoned hotel building, next to which you can stop and park. It's worth every minute of careful driving. In short: an absolute recommendation for everyone who loves nature, photography and peace. Bring some water, come when the light is softer, and leave enough time to just get high. 📸✨

Nice place to stop. Amazing nature and view from the top! We took the route from the picture and were mostly off-road with serpentines and no parapets. But it’s worthy! Our recent trip to Markovic Winery in Dobrsko Selo, Montenegro, was extraordinary. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by the owners, whose hospitality made us feel right at home. Vesko and his wife are truly wonderful people, and their genuine passion for their wine business is impressive. We had the pleasure of spending a night in their cozy and charming guest house located on the winery premises. Waking up to the serene surroundings was a delight. The highlight of our stay was undoubtedly the private winery tour. Our tour guide, Adrian, provided us with fascinating insights into the winemaking process. His knowledge and enthusiasm were so infectious that we wanted to start our own winery business in the U.S. :) The winery itself is a stunning place, with breathtaking views and a tranquil atmosphere. The wine quality was exceptional, and our wine tasting turned into a friendly get-together. Every moment spent there was a feast for the senses, and it was a privilege to experience such beauty. Overall, our visit to the Montenegrin winery was an unforgettable experience filled with warmth, beauty, incredible wine, and interesting people. We can't recommend it highly enough and are already looking forward to our next visit!

A beautiful winery in a lovely setting, in the heart of Montenegro. We chose to stay for 1 night at the start of our holiday, getting to take a tour with Adrian and then enjoy a lovely meal, prepared by the owner. The stay was so beautiful that was chose to return when heading back to the coast. We were warmly welcomed back to the winery and enjoyed a second night stay & dinner. This is a beautiful place and one which I hope stays for a very very long time. Our thanks to Adrian and the owner for their hospitality. The wine is also excellent too! We bought 3 bottles.

It was super relaxed, he was really friendly and the wines were amazing. The location and the vineyard itself is stunning, If you have the time, it’s well worth a visit!

Place is great. So are the wines. And unfortunately, the prices... Very much on high ground for the country and location. Plancha snacks with cheese and ham etc is about 15e and glasses of wine for testing will be about 4e each. Good glasses and wine though, but expect around 40e for 2 people 3 glasses only each... Bootles to buy more expensive than decent good wines on France... Seriously! 😱. But environment and views are great. For you to decide if it is worth the price to pay. Did not use rooms, just quick drink.

A great place with wide choice of local wine: you can have a degustation of 4 or 8 types (I recommend the latter). During a short excursion you’ll see production facilities, barrels and tanks, Special thanks to Artem for an interesting description of different wine-making techniques. After a degustation I advise you take a bottle (or two) you liked and enjoy it at a terrace with a splendid view! There’s no serious meal for dinner, but cheese, prshut & olives are quite enough. Highly recommended! Tip: local champagne is not in the list, but just ask and you’ll get it :)

This was our visit to the Winery as suggested by followers on here and tik tok. The hotel is not finished yet but it will be a great place to stay for those that like the remote living. We went for the wine tasting tour and was not disappointed. The host was excellent and very knowledgeable about the wines and location. We were made to feel very welcome even though we were the only ones there at the time. We sampled 4 wines and all were very good quality wines. The Grappa was delightful too and very much like the Greek Tsiporou which I love. We ended up buying a few bottles of wine as well as a bottle of the Grappa. I highly recommend taking the time out to visit here. Beware for the more timid, the drive provides an interesting route with very narrow and winding roads. The views will amaze you on the way there and on the way back. My videos will appear soon on my usual media and I will put a link in here

Very sad to say but I will be true: this is not where you want to stay in Montenegro. The whole building seems to be either under construction or abandoned. No one else is there and no one really takes care on the place (cigarettes everywhere, not cleaned toilets, spider nets all over the shower and I can go on and on). There is no warm welcome, typical for other wineries, no one cares if you come here or not really. Wine tasting is also nothing to compare to other local wineries, no food, simple wines, no rakija. This place has no story, no charm, it’s not a family owned winery where you will feel at home. In the night it was a bit like a horror movie, almost scary. Very very sad for such a pretty location.

(Translated by Google) The house (or palace) of Djukanovic is considered the most beautiful residential building in the Montenegrin capital; it was built in 1910 in the Renaissance architectural style for Marko Djukanovic, a prominent statesman, President of the State Council of the Kingdom of Montenegro. The two-story house with an attic has beautifully decorated windows and a balcony, and its main difference is the sculptures located in front of the main facade. Four female figures represent spring, summer, autumn and winter, which is why the palace received its second name - “The Seasons”. In addition, on the main gate at the entrance to the courtyard you can see sculptures of two lions. All figures are made of monolithic reinforced concrete. The house has been used for different purposes at different times, but today it is a living space. One of the highlights in our trip to Montenegro. Best wine tasting we've ever had. The owner was very welcoming and although he spoke few words in english, he did all his best to communicate through google translate. The winery is looked after and is very charming and unique, with a modern touch but also many pictures, memories and objects from the previous generations. The experience starts with a short visit to the cellar and around the objects/pictures in the place as well as a explanation of the varieties of grapes and process that they use. We went for the 15 euros wine tasting which includes tasting 5 different wines, snacks with bread, cheese, prociutto, olives and vegetables. Also, different rakijas and types of brandy. We spent a good 2hrs for the whole experience and we could drink as much as we one. The wines were excellent and very unique to any other wines which we tasted before. The payment is on site and cash. The booking process was smooth through whatsapp. Parking on site. Totally recommend it and we would come back if we pass by.

Amazing hospitality. They don’t speak great English but with the help of Google translate they make you understand everything. During the tasting you really feel like you’re at someone’s home, providing you with local food and wine. It’s a lovely experience that I recommend doing if in the area

What an incredible experience. We were welcomed with the greatest kindness and generosity . We did wine tasting with food, and it was all delicious. Very interesting profiles of wines (incredible red wine with black label) in this family run winery and even more interesting people running it. And then fresh figs and cucumbers and cats and the view were just breathtaking. We can’t recommend it more!

We arrived for a tasting tour at the pastoral Markan winery. Maja, who is an excellent English speaker, explained to us about the place, and then her father showed and explained the winemaking process by using Google Translate. The tasting meal was delicious and very generous. The wines and Rakjas are tasty. You can buy some of their products, which also include jams, on site. A highly recommended experience.

Nestled in the charming town of Cetinje, the Galerija Miodrag Dado Đurić is a delightful addition to Montenegro's cultural landscape. This newly established space showcases the works of renowned artist Miodrag Dado Đurić and offers visitors an impressive array of exhibitions that highlight both contemporary art and private collections. The gallery itself is spacious and filled with natural light, providing a perfect backdrop for artistic exploration while offering stunning views of the surrounding mountains.
Was a pleasant surprise! The gallery is very spacious and bright. There was an exhibition from a private collection with some very nice paintings. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. And it’s for free. I would highly it.

Great place for a gallery, very spacious, full of natural light and with gorgeous mountain views (would be especially amazing if they could open a small coffee shop with art books on the rooftop or on the last floor). I loved the exhibitions I’ve caught and there’s always something interesting happening so now it’s the main highlight of Cetinje for me.

There is nobody in this museum. It’s a single, but big plus.

(Translated by Google) Be sure to go! The art gallery is of an unexpectedly high level – the exhibition itself “Što je nama naša borba dala”, the building and how they use it. Admission is free (the woman asked us for a vaccination certificate). The gallery has a souvenir shop, perhaps with the highest quality and most beautiful souvenirs in all of Montenegro. We stumbled upon this museum by accident. We were absolutely surprised that neither the museum nor the building were on the map. There is information on the Internet that the building has been operating as an Art Gallery since 2012. WE HIGHLY RECOMMEND A VISIT!
