i visited this place which is about 1 km from the dargah. it’s more of a pilgrimage spot than a usual tourist place, so respect and silence are expected. the architecture is impressive and the environment is peaceful, but personally, i didn’t find it very engaging or interesting for a visit. it felt a bit quiet and not much to do here. if you’re looking for a calm spot to reflect, it might be okay, but for a fun or exciting visit, it might not be the best choice.

The viewpoints are so so beautiful. Nothing on reaching the top except if you want to visit the mosque. The road is very steep of turns and a bit dangerous. Overall so so beautiful. Parking is available at top charges 40₹

It is actually Dargah of Hazrat Meeran Syed Hussain, dedicated to the 13th-century military governor of Taragarh fort at the top of hill with old fort walls remaining. You can either trek for approx 1.5 hrs or take a cab to reach the place. The road to top is winding one, offering awesome views. You can surely visit this place if looking for some good views and want to visit the Dargah.

Visited the fort around 9 AM, taking an auto to reach the top. Chose to walk down via the steps to soak in the surroundings. The view from the hilltop offered a breathtaking panorama of the entire Ajmer city. This fort is also the resting place of a martyred Syed, honored and laid to rest by Huzur Gharib Nawaz himself — a place of deep reverence and history. The serene atmosphere was made even more special by the calls of peacocks, and we were fortunate to spot a few along the way. A gentle rain added a refreshing touch to the experience.

Ajmer view from Taragarh kila is excellent, entire Ajmer can be viewed, Aravalli hills looks very attractive and beautiful. But there are only 30% remnants of the fort. Fort climbing is adventures, multiple U turns have to be taken. For Those who are interested in visiting Dargahs it is very good place. 2 /3 dargahs exists. Paid individual Taxies cost 1200 rupees for trip for a family. Taxies runs from Diggi, Ajmer each ticket cost 50/- only. Those having sufficient time may visit else at present nothing more special in it.

Please don’t visit here as the entry to the fort has been temporarily/permanently blocked with a half kilometre wall. If you want to enjoy the hill views and drive along with the scenic beauty, you can go till the top but you will only find a Dargah there. The local population has closed the entry so now people can only go to the Dargah (as told by a local in the parking lot of the Dargah). You also have to pay Rs.40 for entry in the area itself. Friday and weekend are very crowded as local and visiting Muslims come there for a visit, and the lane is also very narrow at the top, so you can find traffic. The locals will then redirect you to the PrithviRaj Smarak which is almost at the bottom of the hill if you don’t want to visit the Dargah but the fort itself. Views are 10/10 but the situation is bad. Will not recommend going there.

The main attraction here is the Swarna Nagari or "City of Gold," a hall with golden models showing scenes from Jain stories and cosmology. It was a very disappointing experience. Though the craftsmanship and golden interiors are undeniably beautiful and worth admiration, the overall management is quite poor. Entry tickets are ₹30, and ₹50 if you choose to use the lift, as the stairs are extremely steep and uncomfortable for elders. Sadly, the sanctity of this Jain temple/museum seems compromised — people are allowed in casually for personal gain, and many visitors have vandalised the walls, which is truly upsetting to see. As Jains, it felt disheartening to witness such disregard for this sacred place. There is also no proper maintenance or cleanliness, and parking around the area is extremely difficult, adding to the frustration. Such a heritage site truly deserves better care and respect.

Very peaceful and very clean temple . Also very welcoming . I have been to religious places where there are guards watching you all the time if your head is covered or not , if your phone is inside or not . This temple has a different vibe . I was able to Roma freely without much interferences .

This is such a beautiful jain temple and maintained pretty well. I am not sure if many people, especially tourists know about it. It’s spread in a big area and worth visiting if around Pushkar or Ajmer. It’s quite open so I would suggest winter is better to go as summer time it will be difficult considering heat. Temple is still in construction and I think it will be a great attraction once finished.

Foy Sagar Lake, now known as Varun Sagar Lake, is a hidden gem in Ajmer surrounded by the Aravalli hills. I visited during the monsoon season when the lake was flooded, and the scenic view was simply fantabulous. The atmosphere was fresh, calm, and truly refreshing – perfect for relaxation and photography. Watching the water spread across the landscape with the hills in the background was a mesmerizing experience.

One of the best and beautiful place of Ajmer relates history, British era and famine relief this is little outside to main city good for having day outing during rainy season. I visited here alone and explored for whole day. Can have okay quality food there too.

Peaceful lake just outside Ajmer city. Nice to visit any time. There is also a garden adjacent to the lake, which is maintained quite well. There were not restrictions to entry into the lake when I visited. There is no security so you need to be careful around the water in case you go close. Neatness was okayish. I did find some waste near the lake. But it was a nice spot to take a small break as I was riding to Ajmer from Jaipur.

My visit to the Dargah was an incredibly disappointing experience. The spiritual moment I had hoped for was completely ruined by the surrounding chaos and relentless harassment. The approach to the Dargah is a gauntlet of shops and persistent beggars. Don't fall for the scams. The flowers and Chadar are overpriced—a basic Chadar and flower basket should not cost more than ₹100 and ₹200, respectively. You'll also be pressured by shops to pay for shoe-keeping, but you can easily avoid this by carrying your footwear or leaving it to the right of the entrance. Inside, so-called "guides" will demand money to show you around and perform a puja. They are simply hustlers. We were charged ₹200 for a rushed and unfulfilling tour of the complex. However, the worst part of the visit happens after you leave. You will be absolutely mobbed by beggars who will follow you relentlessly, using guilt to try and extort money from you. This aggressive behavior makes any spiritual or peaceful experience impossible. This place is not worth the effort and is completely skippable.

This place needs no introduction at all. Spiritual vibes a good. As usual, as in all known religious places, the closely made shops and people running them create a chaos which irritates a lot of visitors. Cleanliness inside is good but outside the premises is absolutely pathetic.

Located at one side of the Dargah complex, the Akbari Masjid is a unique spot indeed. One has to climb up a few steep steps to reach a citadel upon which this mosque was commissioned by Mughal Emperor Akbar. Most people coming to the Dargah don't know about its existence and as a result it's almost always empty, I had a grand time exploring such a beautiful structure on my own and then sitting down in one corner and imagining how Akbar himself and later perhaps his sons and grandsons used to come and pray here too. Like all mosques, one has to dress modestly and wear a covering on the head for both men and women.

Akbari Masjid is a mosque located inside the dargah area in the name of the great Mughal ruler Akbar. Once you are inside the dargah you will visit this place and can have namaz here. It's told that the large utensils for making food for the common people located on either side of the dargah are made by him. Altogether it's a must-visit place for travellers.

It serves as a museum nowadays. You can enter with a ticket of 55/- per person. There are several statues and inscriptions from the buddha age, many weapons etc. are exhibited. The interior of each hall was made like a kaleidoscope structure which is amazing. The entire property is protected and maintained properly, so that it makes a perfect ambience for relaxation. I've spent about 2 hours in the quiet ambience of the museum. There is also a water cooler for drinking water.

Ancient temple of lord vishnu . Temple's architecture was in South Indian temple style mixed with mughal design. Temple is closed during afternoon time and opens after 3:00 pm. Museum is also there in the temple and visit charge is only 20rs per person. Mandala design on the floor looks more attractive.

Worst Experience ever in a cinema Hall. We booked a night movie ticket , no lift was working properly , stairs were abruptly locked ,so many people were just wandering searching for a way to reach the cinema hall which is on the 5th floor. Escalators were switched off. Staff was non cooperative , even when they saw disabled and elderly people nothing has helped. It was totally worthless experience,and the cinema hall was pathetic , anyone seating at the back you could feel their legs. Only the food stall was alive as they are only bothered about the incoming money it seems. Not recommended especially if you have elders in your group.

This multistorey mall is big. Showrooms of many branded companies of clothes and shops of eateries and grocery stores are here. multiplex cinema hall is here as well. Various kind of kid enjoyment and Chaaat stores are also here. Transportation is easy. It's handicapped friendly. Washrooms are clean.

Nithing like a mall. Very less shops. Nothing to do with family here. Boring place. Not much to do here except eating costly things with not much flavours and quality. Local people who live nearby drop in for time pass as it is close to their home but as it is so far away from main city and inbetween many good places lie for shopping and eating. It is very disappointing to see such a huge property being wasted for such a useless mall for namesake. Worst is it is hard to get what one actually come for from one corner to other of the city. I live at adarsh nagar and from here city square mall is 12 kilometres so going here is a waste of time and money unless it is very necessary. Try to avoid this for shopping if possible.

Good place if you want to spend your time indoors. Food, shopping, movie, game zone it has all covered. you'll find here Burger King at ground floor and some other shops as well. For shopping there are lots of top brands store inside Trends,decathlon etc.

what can one say. lafzon men bayan nahin ho sakti gareeb nawaz ke aastane ki thandak aur roshni . Noor hi Noor,Sukoon hi Sukoon. Highly recommended for people looking for inner peace. But be prepared for crowds and chaos , there is very poor condition of roads, lot of dirt and filth and one can get claustrophobic if not used to these settings.

Its the main entrance gate to the famous Ajmer Sharif dargah.Its a strong and tall darwaza (door) serving as a monument in itself,a part of history. During my visit i found it very crowded as usual. If you are not comfortable in big crowded places then avoid visiting on weekends.

We visited this dargah on 2nd October 2025 so it was very crowed even though we visited during morning hours. We were lucky as we also get to eat "sweet rice" prepared in choti degh.

Not sure what this is supposed to be, but the name Smarak implies that it’s a monument and I think it’s an all encompassing monument for martyrs and heroes from Rajasthan.. It looks like a pavilion and has a square plan with smaller roofs jutting out from each side in decreasing side, which gives it a pretty effect that’s enhanced by the Indo-Islamic architecture of the structure. The structure is also beautifully lit up at night. The main downside is that some people use the adjacent wall as their house. Shahid Smarak is located opposite the railway station, about 100m to the south. Worth a quick detour if you’re in the station area.

This edifice is located directly opposite to the Ajmer junction railway station. I had reached early in the morning at about 4 am, the monument was illuminated and presented a pretty picture. There is no plaque or any information as to what exactly this monument is in memory of, but some construction work was going on and the surroundings were in a shambles, with debris all around.

I always love this place for home made food But since some time, only Jain people get food here. I was disappointed that I had to return hungry. Whatever the reason, remember that if you go here, you will not get food. for this you should have a Jain friend with you.

Top of that "Tendon medical shop" Deliver every medicine. You will find any medicine even it is not avilable in other shops in ajmer

You can find general edible items here, there is raw flour shop, will medical shops and sometimes Bharat gas truck. Great place for students to get basic items from here.

Roads are clean and in best condition. Many of shops are available near by and also a beautiful garden to do some fun here.

Hello everyone, Recently visited to this place, Although the Museum is not fully operational, few more things needs to be done. If you are coming from Beawar Highway, this will be the first place when you enter to Ajmer, There is no parking difficulty, enormous of parking facility is available. Rest room / Toilets are in poor condition with no Sanity and Hygiene maintenance. There is entrance fees, defined for every citizen. If you are interested in seeing old Railway Instrument and Locomotive, you should visit this. There is a toy train which is an okay okay ride. Thank you

Good place to take kids and tell them about Indian Railways. There is definitely room for improvement but present efforts deserve its set of appreciation. There is a toy train that will take small round of the museum in a few minutes. There is a coach and engine to see in which you can’t really get inside. And then there is a gallery wherein there are models ans informative charts. There will be staff who will show you around in the hall and there is also a small video of North Western Railway to see.

Ajmer being railway city, it is good to see a museum of railways. The concept is good. However, it is maintained by irresponsible staff. The mini theater is closed. The toy train stopped working every 10 meters. Finally we had to get down midway and walk back. Thankfully, the working models are still working. MUST visit if you wish to know history of Indian Railways.
