Parque Principal Francisco Cantón Rosado is a charming green space located in the heart of Valladolid. It is often referred to as the 'park of love' due to its unique white chairs facing each other, creating a romantic atmosphere for couples. The park features a beautiful fountain at its center, surrounded by benches where visitors can relax and enjoy views of the nearby cathedral. This quaint neighborhood park is perfect for leisurely strolls or letting children play freely.
A lively and charming square in the heart of Valladolid! We visited Parque Principal Francisco Cantón Rosado during our day trip from Cancun and were lucky to catch a delightful local Mexican dance performance, full of color, music, and energy. It gave us a wonderful glimpse into the local culture. Based on our guide’s recommendation, we also tried the coconut ice cream from a street vendor here, it was incredibly refreshing and delicious! The park itself is clean, shaded, and a great place to relax and people-watch. Highly recommended as a cultural and scenic stop.

Great spot to hang out! There’s always something going on whether it’s performers, photoshoots, or walking tours. The weekend we went there was a protest happening (we weren’t sure what for) but it was cool to see folks around the park with their banners and tents for protest. Lots of seating available and tons of great food vendors. Highly recommend grabbing churros and ice cream within the park. The evening was our favourite time to go because the sunset was really pretty at the park and we loved hearing the birds sing their evening songs!

The lively heart of Valladolid! Parque Principal Francisco Cantón Rosado is a beautiful and vibrant town square surrounded by colonial architecture, local shops, and restaurants. It’s the perfect place to relax under the shade, people-watch, or enjoy some street food — especially marquesitas or churros from local vendors. The stunning San Servacio Church stands right across the square, making it a great photo spot both day and night. A must-visit to feel the local culture and charm of Valladolid!

I love squares like this, lots of places to sit and chill and people watch, or bring snacks in from the many vendors in the area.
Craig L — Google review
There is a lot that happens in the town center at night. If you look like a foreigner they will yell and try to get you to buy their products. They are very kind here. Great shopping area. They have a little cafeteria across the street. The Church seemed to always have something going on here too.
Shrena M — Google review
Local plaza in the middle of Valladolid. Lots of food stands and offers a variety of choices of Mexican street food as well as souvenir gift stands. Mostly CASH only (USD or MXN) they accept both. Not sure if they accept credit card. We came here with our tour bus so i'm not sure about the parking situation and the plaza is location in the center of a busy road.
Kirk A — Google review
After Chitzen Itza tour this Tequila spot was like coming home to share your day with family and friends. You could taste the Mom or Aunts touch of something special in the meal, simple but flavored by friendly cooks. The town was colorful and people bustling through, not NY bustling but kindof NY in the laid back south with a hint of coastal humming.

Amazing experience! It was a great tour, we thought it was going to be a big tour, but it was a personalized one. The honey tasting was great and we learned a lot! It was the highlight of our trip. We even got to buy some amazing honey for us, would definitely recommend it!
Daiana H — Google review
Loved this place! I loved getting to have a non-typical experience visiting this city and getting to learn about the indigenous bee species and how they were used by the indigenous peoples. The tour guide was a wealth of info and I'm so impressed. It was not busy - I was the only person on the tour on the day I went and it was so fun.
Kellsey L — Google review
Very nice drop-in stop on the way back from Chichen Itza, or while in Valladolid. Such a nice conversation and tour and tasting. This is not just a bee-keeping tour -- it is a Mayan culture tour as well. Check timing ahead of time... he didn't want to start outside of the usual tour time, so we waited a half hour. Double check the pricing too, as it isn't posted - I think we paid more than we should have for just the tour.
Chuck B — Google review
We had the pleasure of visiting this beautiful place and the tour was fantastic. Eduardo was our tour guide and provided us with so much fun information about the different types of bees and plants in the area. We got see the bees as they came into their hives at sunset and even got to taste a bunch of honey products. The location as a whole is beautiful and they have huts and bungalows you can stay in. I recommend this cute and fun tour while on Valladolid!
Lesley R — Google review
Quiet place in Valladolid. We spent 2 nights in a cabin. This is a Beekeeping business so you can get "bee-tours" and buy honey products. They have a pool, bar and restaurant and also a camping site for tents. Private parking on site. Overall good price for value.
DeeDee — Google review
I have done the bee tour here twice. The most recent time it was quite good and informative. The first time I came out was really excellent and you could tell that the guide was passionate about bees and the conservation work they do. They offer it in English and Spanish and it includes honey tasting, seeing a variety of local bee species, wild bees and bee hives, and lots of interesting information about them.
Anton — Google review
Wow such a wonderful educational experience!! The area is stunning, our guide was so informative, he answered all our questions and shared so much history and insight about bees and the Mayan stingless Bee. It was so cool to walk down into the cave area to see the beehives hanging from the top of the cave. We got to try traditional Mayan food made by a Mayan Elder and continued our walk to see different bee species and see them up close being busy bee's in their hive boxes. Afterwards we got to taste the different honey products they have, and homemade lotions made from the honey. Highly recommend, I learned sooo much and would definitely go again!! They have a nice little store to buy the products if you'd like and other souvenirs. They have camping available they provide tents, and or rent traditional cabins, they have a nice swim area, everything is so thought out nicely. The bees are well taken care of, they are free to be in their habitat without disturbance and you learn so much!!

I walked 1 hour in Afternoon to make last tour 4pm. Upon arrival "attendant" would not make eye contact, nearly acknowledged me and mumbled it was closed for last tour ..no explanation or attempt at consideration. It's ashame a sancuary with great reviews was a total waste

Cenote Suytun, located to the east of Valladolid in the Yucatan, is a popular and picturesque swimming hole with stunning rock formations. This semi-open cenote features a tunnel entrance and a circular platform at its center where visitors can capture Instagram-worthy photos. Despite being busy, it's worth visiting for its vivid colors and unique photo opportunities.
Very good experience Important to take with you... Towels, NOT SUN'S CREAM (not permitted if you're going into the water), snacks, water. There are some lockers to use (50pesos) or you can take with you. Has 2 places for you to change (male and female), enjoy 2 amazing Cenotes. Taxi from the city to Suytun coast about 150pesos. Or you can go by tour (less time to stay). Great for pictures and fun.
Um W — Google review
They charge you 280 pesos for 2 cenotes, you cannot bargain for 1 cenote. Parking is included in that 280 pesos They will ask you to take a shower to preserve natural habitat. Life jackets are provided by the staff at the location. Please be careful if it is raining, the steps are slippery. There is about 10-15 minutes walk to go inside the cenote.
Vamshi A — Google review
I went to a few cenotes during my trip but I wouldn't recommend this one. It looks cool, but getting through the unkept bathrooms and change rooms are not worth it. They reek and have human waste in the stalls and in the garbages. It's not on the cleaners that some tourists are disgusting...but it doesn't seem well cleaned at all. I was dreading going back in after swimming to change into clothes. There are just as cool cenotes without the filthy change rooms. Also, only 3 of the 10 or 15ish outdoor showers worked, even though showering before entering was mandatory
Mihiri K — Google review
We arrived before 9 and got the place almost to ourselves. They even let us in 20 minutes before the official entry. You can buy the tickets online to get a small discount as well. You just have to book / buy them in advance as the online tickets cannot be redeemed the same day. After our bought them online they are valid for a year. Also you will not need a locker as the place has enough space to put down your stuff before swim.
Jan K — Google review
The cenote is amazing , I rented a car and stayed in tulum. It took me over an hour to get there. I purchase my ticket online and lunch was included. The price is moderate but the two cenotes are
David R — Google review
It's the most expensive cenote which costs 280 per person. As most of the reviews mentioned, you have to take a bath before going in but the staff is very friendly and they try to manage the place well. Pro tip - we reached there aroind 3.15 pm and the queue was only about 5 people. So either try to go early in morning or around 4 if you want the place to yourself rather than standing in big lineups.
Sagar D — Google review
i feel it was a bit overhyped (as most large tourist attractions are), but it was still beautiful. having gone to the nearby cenotes xkeken and samula (which were much more peaceful, cheaper, and one ticket gets you into both), i feel like i probably could have skipped suytun, because they are visually similar. i didn't like the vibe of most people being there just for the photo op on the platform.
Chelsea C — Google review
My experience about cenoto suytun was terrible. Because of the staff, we were asked to take a full bath before going there, even though you are not going to swim, just to enter the main platform also you have to take a bath, head bath to be precise, I was wearing a gown, still I stood beneath the shower, I got all wet from head to toe, and the guy didn't stop me from going forward, then when I went inside the cenote, they stopped me and said my colleague said you didn't take the shower, it was such a disappointment. People are coming from far places for a limited time, I respect their rules, but the staff should pay attention too. I still feel bad about the fact I did take shower still they stopped me

Zazil Tunich - Cenote Museo offers a 2.5-hour guided tour of a cave located 65 feet underground, showcasing a stunning cenote and around 80 stalactites and stalagmites, including the Yucatan's largest stalactite. Families can enjoy this well-lit cave with shallow waters, reaching about 6 feet at most.
We booked for a tour with a dinner included and it was an amazing experience! One of the best cenotes I have ever been. Really stunning! I also love the Mayan ritual before going to the cenote as it was a very unique experience. I highly recommend it. Totally worth the visit. 🙌🏼
Rey A — Google review
You need to book tickets ahead of time. We booked it a day before and had no issues booking a slot at 3pm. The website wasn't loading so we contacted them via WhatsApp and were able to book. Parking is free. Free locker with a key. It was a little pricey so it was not crowded at all. We had the entire place to ourselves for almost 30 mins before another couple joined. The depth of the water is around 2 - 3m so life jacket is not mandatory but you can rent it for a fee (around $50 pesos?)
H — Google review
The place offers privacy and a truly magical atmosphere, simply a wonder of nature and an unmissable experience. Our tour was guided by Zule, who passionately explained the history and meaning of the cenote, bringing every detail to life. We then took part in an authentic Mayan ritual, a unique moment of peace and cultural connection. The evening ended with a delicious dinner hosted by Armando, who carefully explained each dish, making the night even more special. Without a doubt, Zazil Tunich is a must when visiting Yucatán, a perfect blend of nature, tradition, and gastronomy. 🌿✨

Absolutely extraordinary! If you are looking for real experience - that`s the one you are looking for ! Run by family with Mayan traditions, you have a chance to meet Mayan shaman who will bless you at the end of the journey! You enter the cave one way, and leave the other completely refreshed, peaceful and grateful! 100% RECOMMENDED ❤️
Anastazja M — Google review
Our BEST Cenote Experience so far - a must visit if you are in the near! You have to book in advance on the homepage, which is 400$ for only the cave or 700$ which then includes a dinning. We took the option with the dinning, and the food was delicious. We were the only ones in the cave and had a very friendly english speaking guide (do not remember the name of the lady). As the owner‘s who discovered the cave do not wish to attract mass tourism, there are no tour‘s from hotels - that really ads to the experience. At the end you also participate in a Mayan Ritual - but see for yourself.

This place is truly amazing! I came here at night with a tour group and we ended up having the place to ourselves. The ambience at night is so relaxing and beautiful. All the members of staff were friendly and well informed and helped make the experience even more lovely. The food served was delicious also. Would highly recommend!
Jessica K — Google review
My partner and I opted to have dinner here. We went ahead of a small tour group and self guided… because of this we swam alone. It was the most magical experience. The food was excellent and the staff are happy to accommodate dietary restrictions.
Donna V — Google review
Amazing experience! We reserved for a special occasion and it was completely worth it. Edna was a great tourist guide! Thank you very much Edna! Place has a lot of things to do and see if you love nature, DO NOT TOUCH the stone formations, respect the nature. Photo shoots at the place are amazing and food is awesome too. The cenote water is shallow, so don't expect diving, but it's a completely different experience filled with shadows, lights, sounds and energy. Be careful and respect the surroundings and people, they are what make this place special. Thank you guys for an amazing experience!!!! If you're going to make a bad review about prices or "how is this a very shallow cenote", you better read or do a little research first! Almost all bad reviews of this place are just from people who were either too lazy to read or understand the concept of this place!

Zoologico Valladolid, a compact zoo, provided a welcome reprieve from the bustling vendor-filled environment, offering visitors a chance to observe various animals. While the hot weather rendered most of the big cats and other creatures inactive, the monkeys proved to be highly lively. The facility boasted well-maintained cement pathways that ensured accessibility for all. Despite its age and size, Zoologico Valladolid served as a delightful destination for three young boys.
Ticket price 150 for adult, 100 for children. Very nice place, lots to see. You can also bring your own food and have picnic there. Definitely buy some fish food, it is very cool to feed fish and turtles.
Pille L — Google review
Turned up did not buy tickets in advance brought at entry. Saw a lot of animals. Information plaques on the enclosed habitat gave a lot of information. Nice play area for children. We still had a good time even without children. Spent 2-3 hrs looking around. Zoo tickets give discounts a tequila distillery across the road & vice versa.
Leanna D — Google review
Very nice place to see animals local to Mexico including black jaguar which are usually not present in the zoos abroad.
Paweł K — Google review
Excellent little ZOO! We've spend over 2 hours here and seen a lot of animals you cannot see practically anywhere in Europe. Very educative experience. To visit, even if you're travelling w/o kids!
M A — Google review
Nice animals but some of them are in bad shape and don’t have enough space.. I hope they will get more attention.
Stefano E — Google review
Really nice zoo! Lots of different animals from Mexico! Jaguars are so cool! Clean place and they seems to take good care of the animal. Lots of shade and clean inside the fences. The staff was really kind and the whole spot looks great. It was a really great day and I would highly recommand, especialy if you are with children
St-Denis F — Google review
Not much value here. The girl was quick to quote us an entrance fee in united statesmen dollars. But converted to pesos this worked out to 380 pesos for two to enter. The interesting animals, the cats etc. were all hiding in their den's so not much interesting to see. The zoo in Tizimin is much better.
Gary D — Google review
I came to visit the zoo at Christmas and left crying. Some of the larger animals had obvious mental health issues, lonely and depressed. The crocodile pond had barely any water, the pumas where walking around in a circle like their minds had gone insane. The animal attached I believe it could be a coyote was extremely lonely and needed a friend.. was using back and forth behaviour that was extremely upsetting and sad to witness. Walking around the zoo myself and my partner didn’t see anyone within the whole hour that worked for the park. We are from England and the experience has left us traumatised and helpless.

Cenote Chukum, also known as Chukum-Ha, is a popular cenote in Yucatan, named after the chukum trees in the area. It has gained a reputation as one of the best cenotes for adventurous visitors. The cenote is large and maintains its vibrant turquoise color due to a constant flow of water. Visitors praise the friendly staff and clean facilities. To access the underground cenote, visitors descend down stairs and can take a shower before swimming.
Really enjoyed our stop here on the way back from any early trip to chitchen itza to Tulum. We went for the 550 package that included the buffet Lots of parking, very easy check in and payment. Nice lockers and changing rooms. The restaurant was surprisingly good, lots of options and good value. We loved the cenote and the zip line into the water. Good fun. We ended up chilling on hammocks in their gardens and spent about 3 hours in total. Thanks!!
Holly E — Google review
Took an excursion to this place. Highly recommend if it’s on your itinerary. Easy stop back from Chichen Itza. We basically had the place to ourselves. Water was so clear we could see the bottom at 60 feet. Buffet lunch was also very tasty
Zachary S — Google review
While the tickets are a tad bit on the expensive side. The experience is worth it. We repelled down and then enjoyed zip lining and dropping freely into the water. There’s also a stage from where you can jump. It’s about 12-15 ft high. You can expect to spend about 1-2 hrs here.
Rajat K — Google review
Cenote Chukum was part of our tour and it didn’t disappoint. The cost to get in was a bit steep but overall it was a great experience. Amenities on site included lockers, restrooms, changing area and buffet style food. Food is pretty good but not over the top amazing. Soda or anything else is extra and water or hibiscus tea is free. Recommend for visit a change of clothes, snorkeling mask, camera with wrist band, towels, water shoes. Water is a tad bit chilly but not bad overall. Those more adventurous can jump off platforms, zip line for free or you can pay extra to rappel into the water. You can rent about anything at the front lobby but easy to bring your own stuff. The lobby also has snacks and of course drinks and tequila bar. If you’re not into swimming they do have hammocks around the area. There’s hundreds of these and I’d say this one was pretty good.
Travis S — Google review
We had a great time here. We started by rappelling into the cenote. Then we zip lined several times and enjoyed jumping off of the various platforms. The tallest platform was about 12 to 15 feet. The water was clean and refreshing. The whole facility was very clean. They provided us with a locker and a towel. The buffet style lunch was great. I loved all the different types of salsa the most. Great service!

Here's a review you can use for Cenote Chukum: --- ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We had an amazing time at Cenote Chukum! It was incredibly family-friendly, making it the perfect spot for our whole group. The cenote itself was absolutely beautiful, and we truly enjoyed every moment spent there. We opted for the gold entrance, which included a delicious buffet that was a delightful bonus to our visit. Overall, it was one of the best cenotes we've been to, and we can't recommend it enough! Can't wait to return.
Enrique C — Google review
Great place to visit. Peaceful, not busy when we were there. Food was really good as well
Jim W — Google review
One of the best cenotes around, fair price, big parking lot, easy to get there and has some really nice activities to do. As opposed to some other cenotes, it not only has an outstanding beauty, but also keeps you entertained all day long, I could stay all day there and would've been awesome (I bought the full pass which includes free buffet), but I had other places to explore too...
