Parque de la 93 is a popular outdoor destination in Bogota, offering green spaces, playgrounds, and benches for visitors to enjoy. It's a great spot for families to explore and play together. The park features attractive landscapes with large trees and plenty of seating areas for relaxation. Located in the northern end of Chapinero, it's known for its upscale atmosphere and modern amenities.
Parque de la 93 is a wonderful, safe place to visit, especially with kids. It’s a great spot for walking around with your family and feeling at ease. We were there in December during a festive event to kick off the holiday season, and the atmosphere was lively with lots of people celebrating together. The park is spacious, and kids can play while you sit back, relax, and even enjoy some drinks. There are plenty of restaurants in the surrounding area, making it a perfect spot to spend the day with your family. That said, it’s always good to stay aware, especially if you wander too far outside the park, as some corners may feel less secure. But as long as you stay within the park’s main area, it’s very safe and enjoyable. I highly recommend Parque de la 93 for families—great ambiance, lots of space, and a vibrant neighborhood. Definitely a must-visit!

It’s pretty but it’s small. With so the bars nearby i indulge there is great night life here

Great park! Tables, seats amongst the flowers to play domino and bring your coffee. Kids playground and Dog play area. Beautiful giant palms. Safe, surrounded by restaurants and shopping. No ticket needed.
Grant G — Google review
There’s always something going on at Parque de la 93 🌳☀️ This park may be small, but they really made the most out of it. There is lots of seating, both benches and little tables with chairs, and even the occasional coffee stand. You have a lovely view of the mountains and palm trees from one end of the park. There’s a playground for kids and all around the park, there are nice cafes, restaurants and bars. Since there are many companies nearby, it’s also a popular spot for people to take a break in the sun. The park has its own Instagram page where they share events, offer yoga classes and other sports activities. The space is often used for pop up stands, markets and different cultural activities. There’s a big shopping festival called Feria EVA that happens here. The whole space gets transformed into pink stalls with local artists and brands selling their clothes, jewelry, decor and more. They set up a stage with live music and have food stands around the area as well. So, as you can see, there’s always something to do or see at Parque de la 93.

It’s a peaceful green space in the middle of the bustling city, perfect for a relaxing stroll or just sitting down with a coffee and watching the world go by. The atmosphere is vibrant yet calm, and it feels very safe and welcoming.
Jenneth N — Google review
Parque 93 in Bogotá is a hidden gem, offering a delightful blend of tranquility and vibrant energy. The park boasts a plethora of food choices, with standout options like Starbucks and local options, providing an exquisite culinary experience. From local flavors to international delights, there's a dish to satisfy every palate. The beauty of the scenery is truly captivating, creating a serene escape amidst the urban hustle. Lush greenery, well-maintained paths, and charming water features make it an ideal spot for a leisurely stroll or a relaxing afternoon picnic. I particularly loved the amount, size, and greenery of the trees in this particular area. For those seeking a laid-back atmosphere, Parque 93 is a haven. The ascetic charm of the park, combined with the diverse food offerings, makes it an easy-going destination for locals and visitors alike. Whether you're a food enthusiast or someone craving a tranquil retreat, Parque 93 delivers a harmonious experience that leaves a lasting impression.

Stopped here after dinner to just walk around and definitely Safe to hang out at night as a single woman - there’s so many people out. There are play spaces for kids, but at night it’s gonna be a lot of teenagers/couple. With the surrounding cafés and restaurants in Parker great to just hang out and talk for a place of a space for greenery.
Mariah J — Google review
It’s a beautiful little park for kids... it has areas assigned by age group with signs, it also has security guards. The sand pit is great, along with the boat, and the climbing spider ball. Kids absolutely love this park! I wish they would close it off with small/short gate since it’s a very business oriented area and a lot of grown ups also like to hang out. The grassy area has a lot of events but it’s mostly for dogs and grown ups.

Simón Bolívar Park, also known as the lung of Bogota, is a sprawling green space that offers a variety of activities for visitors. With 113 hectares of land, the park features walking and biking paths, playgrounds for kids, and several lakes where you can go boating. It has been a venue for numerous events and has hosted famous artists and even two popes.
This is the hosted site of a very cool music festival every year in BOGOTA. I love going to this festival and having a good time. It’s really easy to get together with your friends. It is a little sketchy in some places, but once you’re inside, the security is very good. Wonderful time and highly recommend recommendable.

Lush green huge park, lake view, boating and so many play areas and open gyms. Best to go with big groups and kids will love to play. Kite flying is main activity to do here. You get so many colorful kites outside the park.

Lovely place for a stroll, go jogging, go running or biking. I fortunately for birdwatching there are way too many dogs in the park. A lot of plastic waste from the food sold to feed the fish. Many things to make it more sustainable.
Maylin ( — Google review
A beautiful park that is very big. Great for walking, biking, and skating. There is a lot of shade provided by great trees and a lovely water area with boats for rent.

The city central park It's a natural park with a extensive green field and a central lake. In parallel to this, the entrance is free and some internal attractions have costs. In one hand you might find several activities from collectives, institutions or just some individuals. However, you can stay aside of this. Finally, you can use bicycle, your feet or a vehicle two-wheeled. Be careful with your stuff, it's a public zone and it's not exclude from robbers.

Park
Parque de los Novios, also known as Parque El Lago, is a recreational park in Bogota that offers various attractions. It features a large children's play area and a lake where visitors can enjoy boat rides and kayaking. The park is set to host the Colombia al Parque music festival, showcasing the diverse musical landscape of Colombia. This year's festival has a special theme called 'When the River Sounds,' paying tribute to Colombia's rivers and their cultural significance.
🌟 Beautiful Green Escape in the Heart of Bogotá! Parque de Los Novios is a gem in Bogotá, perfect for a day of relaxation, family fun, or a scenic walk. The park offers ample green spaces and beautiful lakes that make you feel far from the city hustle. Whether you're looking to enjoy a peaceful walk, have a picnic, or even paddleboat on the lake, this park has something for everyone. The park is well-maintained, with clean pathways and plenty of shaded areas, which makes it ideal for a sunny day outing. There are also recreational spots for kids and areas for pets, making it a great destination for the whole family. A highlight for me was the range of activities available, from bike rentals to weekend food vendors. There’s a lovely energy here on weekends when families come out to relax, yet it’s still peaceful enough to enjoy solo or with a friend. I’d highly recommend a visit if you’re in Bogotá – it’s an accessible, well-kept space to unwind and enjoy nature.

Cute park with lake, bridges, work out equipment, jog trail, loads of trees and green, spaces for children to play, ducks almost everywhere, they know humans feed them with raw corn so they come to you for it. Lovely place, Ive seen people doing photoshoots, picnicking, barbequoing, working out, jogging, there are sometimes small events opened to the public.
Maria ( — Google review
Huge, family-friendly park that features paddleboats on a lake, a playground for the kids and plenty of open space for picnics so packing a lunch is encouraged. A great way to spend a budget-friendly afternoon with family doing pretty much any activity you desire. Take in the views and relax...
Marc B — Google review
Is the perfect place to reconnect with nature and animals. After being caught up in the chaos of the city, this park makes you forget you’re still within such a large urban space. It’s a peaceful and beautiful spot, full of charm. Watching geese, ducks, and other birds freely roaming around brings so much joy; they are adorable. There are plenty of quiet spaces to sit, read, or enjoy a meaningful conversation in a calm atmosphere. Highly recommended for anyone seeking serenity
Pedro M — Google review
It’s a very nice place to be with family or friends, there is a playground and lake that are enjoyable. The only think should improve is to have access to a good coffee and different kind of gastronomy offer.
Estefania A — Google review
Medium size and surprisingly pretty park. You can rent rowboats/ kayaks too but usually long line. A bit too many people sometimes but still amazing for camping, relaxing, couples etc. Some spots are surprisingly scenic. The ducks/ geese are a bit over friendly. If you feed them, be prepared for their pals to come hang out for a while waiting for their piece.
David D — Google review
It was very nice . You saw a lot of people taking photos for their quince. There were a ton of ducks, birds, and swans. Lots of families walking and partners enjoying picnics.

Parque Nacional Enrique Olaya Herrera is a historic and iconic park in Bogota, inaugurated in 1934 and located near several universities. It's a popular spot for locals to escape the city's hustle and bustle, offering lush greenery, walking paths, a beautiful lake, and various sports facilities. The park features monuments such as the Monument to Rafael Uribe Uribe and the Monument to Enrique Grau.
We hang out here at the Enrique Olaya at the Skate Day event. Awesome place, the nicest peolple. There are clean bathrooms, places to eat and fruits also! Perfect to hang out, maybe not so late at night but with daylight is better
Valentina D — Google review
It’s nice that they have a park, but there’s no place to find quiet from the merchants hounding you to buy their wares. I tried to sit in an isolated part, but even then several vendors came by with a loud buzzer or bell, standing one meter in front of me; forcing me to look up from my book and acknowledge them. It’s no longer selling, it’s harassment.
Mr K — Google review
It's one of the capital's most emblematic parks; its easy access makes it accessible to all users of the surrounding community of La Merced, Perseverancia, and El Paraíso neighborhoods. It is also surrounded by students from the Javeriana, Distrital, and La Piloto universities, as well as several technological institutes, from which a large number of people have access to all areas. It covers 14 hectares of urban land, 283 hectares in total, most of which has been declared a forest reserve.
Fernando H — Google review
It is a nice, cozy place, enjoyed with family, friends, and for these time of year, going to see lights is one of the best plans.

Established in 1955, the Jardín Botánico de Bogotá José Celestino Mutis is a sprawling 20-acre botanical park that serves as both a recreational space and a research center. It boasts an extensive collection of Colombian and Latin American flora, showcasing the diverse ecosystems found throughout Colombia, with a focus on Andean and Paramo ecosystems.
We enjoyed the gardens. My husband is 75 and was able to get in for free. The flowers are just beautiful and the ponds are clean. Very peaceful and relaxing. It’s a very safe place for tourist to take their phones out and take pictures.

Beautiful gardens perfect for a relaxing day. Definitely recommend buying entry to the tropical greenhouses. Overall I probably spent about 3 hours but you couldn’t explore the entire garden in 2.
Henry S — Google review
The Bogotá Botanical Garden, officially named the José Celestino Mutis Botanical Garden, is the largest botanical garden in Colombia and spans about 19 hectares. It showcases an impressive diversity of Colombian flora with approximately 903 plant species, representing ecosystems like Andean and páramo regions. The garden features special collections including a Tropicario with tropical plants, La Rosaleda rose garden with 73 rose varieties, and an extensive orchid collection, making it a paradise for nature lovers.Visitors can enjoy peaceful walking paths along lakes, waterfalls, and wetlands, as well as birdwatching with about 50 bird species present. The garden also offers guided tours and has an on-site café for refreshments. It is a beautiful, well-maintained space that combines relaxation with education about Colombia’s incredible biodiversity. Admission is affordable, and the garden is accessible by public transit or taxi. It is a must-visit for those wanting to connect with nature within the city of Bogotá
SRS — Google review
Separate rates for citizens and foreigners. Very calm, large area to walk around. I’m more of an animal nerd, so I was more excited about the goldfish in the pond, or the random birds that were out and about. This place is definitely for the plant nerds, since they have a grand array of species. It was nice, will come back with my grandma who loves plants.
Lilly Q — Google review
I absolutely loved my visit to the Bogotá Botanical Garden – it’s a beautiful, peaceful space, full of color, nature, and well-maintained paths. A perfect place to walk, relax, and learn about Colombia’s rich biodiversity. I particularly enjoyed the Tropicario, which is an impressive and carefully designed area. However, one small issue is that when the guides stop to give explanations, it often creates bottlenecks, making it hard for other visitors to pass through. It would be great if a better flow system could be implemented. I also stopped by the café, and the experience was completely satisfying – good service, pleasant atmosphere, and a nice way to end the visit.
Miguel O — Google review
Definitely worth a visit if you are in Bogotá. Not a lot to do but amazing variety of plants and information to learn from.
Yunus — Google review
This is one of the most beautiful Botanic Gardens! La rosaleda fue mi parte favorita. You could smell the different roses from the paths. And amazing colors. I also enjoyed walking off of the main path to see the vegetable gardens. The birds were singing and seemed very happy, too.
Phillip E — Google review
Seeing for yourself is not enough. The Tropicario is such an immersive experience, the smells around, the flower, the variety. It's q must to visit the Jardin Botánico de Bogotá.

Salitre Mágico, located in the Ciudad Salitre neighborhood, is an amusement park offering 34 attractions for both kids and adults. From high-speed roller coasters to bumper cars and classic county fair games, there's something for everyone. The park also hosts shows for kids and an annual Horror Festival during October. With a variety of rides suitable for all ages, including thrilling roller coasters and gentle kiddie attractions, it's a perfect destination for family fun.
We had a lot of fun. Plenty of things to try, very well organized. Ideal place for children and young adults.
Alexander L — Google review
We wanted to buy tickets online in advance but the website did not accept our cards to make payment while we had no issue with the cards to buy tickets there. There are long lines for all main attractions which takes hours and all main attarctions ( blue, yellow, green) were closed from time to time for 20-40-60 minutes for some kind of maintenance which even more expends your waiting time.. If you can, just buy fast track. We waited for more than an hour for the highest blue attraction and after an hour we were told that it does not work and needs maintenance which will last for 20 min and after 20 min. we were told that it will take one hour to fix it. After fixing it, it made one ride and again stopped for maintenance and was opened close to the end of the day. They dont allow anything to take to this attraction and ask you to use lockers which are very small for any backpack and you have to go back to the main entrance to the main lockers. The other attractions have their big spaces for backpacks. If not consider queues, maintenance issues, waiting time, terrible organization it was ok.
Guney R — Google review
Fun, and thrilling rides. Lines were quite long if you have the regular pass, I highly recommend getting the VIP pass to make the best of your visit. Definitely is THE place to visit with kids.
Jed S — Google review
Fun theme park. Not a huge park so you can ride all the rides in one day especially if you have the fast pass, which I do recommend for the bigger kid rides because the lines are long. Plenty bathroom stations. Good options for food and prices are reasonable. Kids had a great time. I do recommend.
Courtney — Google review
We went on a Tuesday and there were hardly any lines. It was great! The park is clean and the staff was pleasant. We will return again.
Brad W — Google review
We really had a blast as a family. The rides, the characters around, very cool, the workers are very friendly!!! The only thing they should figure out is how to charge people that aren’t riding anything. I had to pay $50.000 to be with my kids, I have vertigo and can’t get into any ride, told them so, but they don’t make exception for this condition 🫠
Johanna P — Google review
Small lines but extreme waiting times. The employees seem tired and all but one atracción is outdated. As I said the average lines take 1-1,5 hours even though there’s a few persons at the park.
J L — Google review
I really liked all of the attractions, they were super fun. The roller coasters are not the scariest in the world, but they sure give you a good thrill. The park is big and well distributed, the food options are not as varied as they should but they will keep you go going. I really liked the way the handle the lines between normal payers and fast past payers, it seems fais enough. What I really dislike was how long they take to put people in the attractions. The biggest roller-coaster for example takes about 2 minutes to complete the ride, but they would take up to 10 minutes to put in the people four the next ride. I would understand if it was due to covid-related safety, but it wasn't. It was just pure disorganization, the people working in the attraction would often be talking to each other and looking like not knowing what to do.

Parque de la Independencia, established in the early 1900s to celebrate Colombia's centennial of independence, is a serene green oasis nestled amidst the bustling cityscape of Bogotá. This park features an array of stunning statues and architectural gems like the Quiosco de la Luz and Pabellon Industrial, each telling a story from different historical periods. Visitors can wander through its tranquil paths while enjoying picturesque views that contrast beautifully with the surrounding red-brick buildings.

The event was colorful, but the entrances were blocked leaving only 2 open. The beams under the balcony were built too low, people including my friend kept hitting their heads badly on the concrete.

Very pretty, big and decorated in greens with such taste. Definitely worth a visit.

A nice looping park with tons of “attractions” nearby. Visit and you’ll have the Colpatria Building, the planetary, the Tequendama Hotel, a nice restaurant with an amazing view called “Céntrico” nearby. And then, close you have Candelaria and Monserrat’s so it’s a perfect spot to initiate or finalize a walk around Bogota center. Right now it is super nice to visit by night with all the Christmas decorations!

It is a quiet place to walk. It is close to the National Library, the Museum of Modern Art and the Planetarium. There it crosses the 26 that takes you to the airport. There are many options to find where to have lunch and / or dinner. It is close to the gourmet area of La Macarena and something more typical the Plaza of perseverance.

El Country Park is a stunning green oasis nestled in the heart of Bogotá, Colombia, renowned for its expansive landscapes perfect for sports and leisurely activities. This park has become a beloved destination for both locals and tourists alike since it opened to the public in 2007. With vast areas filled with lush trees, it's an ideal spot to unwind and escape the hustle of daily life. Visitors can enjoy various recreational options such as jogging along scenic paths or engaging in games like frisbee, soccer, or volleyball.
One of my favorite parks in Bogota with a beautiful view of the mountains 🌿⛰️ Wether it’s a weekend or a weekday, there’s always people hanging out with their friends, families, or dogs. Sometimes there will be people teaching yoga classes, playing ultimate frisbee or other sports. It’s spacious enough that even on a busy day, there’s plenty of room to lay out a picnic blanket and relax. There’s also a super cute cafe (El altillo) located in the park and public bathrooms that are free to use.

Airport
El Dorado International Airport in Bogota, Colombia is a bustling hub that offers car rental services from trusted companies like Avis and Localiza. The airport boasts modern check-in areas and easy access to transportation options such as cabs and Ubers. Travelers have reported quick immigration processes both when leaving and entering the country. The airport's cleanliness, organization, and friendly staff contribute to its positive reputation among frequent travelers.
El Dorado Airport truly exceeded my expectations. It’s not just an airport—it’s a whole experience. The space is modern, clean, and very spacious, making it easy to move around and find your way. There are plenty of shops, restaurants, and lounges, so whether you’re in transit or waiting for your flight, there’s a lot to do and explore. You can easily spend your time here without feeling bored or rushed. My time here was peaceful and smooth. Everything is well-organized, and the service throughout the airport is great. If you’re passing through Bogotá, El Dorado is one of the better airports I’ve visited in Latin America. Highly recommended.
Jerzy U — Google review
This airport needs to be improved. I believe they are traffic increase way larger than the city. The facilities are outdated the long cruise a lack of employees make this experience a lot more frustration at the end of the day they need to improve that otherwise the bar’s restaurant checking experience and transport to the airport was good.
Marcos D — Google review
Easy to follow signs, a lot of seating and places to charge your devices. I just wish there wasn't music everywhere. Most people wear headphones anyway, why not allow some silence for tired folks
Bi I — Google review
Great big airport in Bogota... You can come there with your own car, city buses or with taxi... For me best option is with Uber taxi which is the fastest and cheapest... From there you need 20-30 minutes to your apartments where ever you are... Inside airport there is so much places to eat or drink something or boutiques or places with stamps and souvenirs... Also they have big duty-free... Prices are correct for airport and cheaper than in Europe airports... People who work there is so kind and helpful... Security control work very fast... With biometric passport you can do self control... Toilets are clean... All recommendations for visit and take flight to and from this airport if you are in Bogota
VLAJKO P — Google review
Airport is fairly organised. My gate kept changing, which was annoying. I lost a vest here with a wallet inside it. Within 10 min of leaving it on a chair(I forgot it there)it had disappeared. Security and cleaners had not seen it. In certain areas there is seating right next to a window, nice to plane spot from. Plenty of restaurants and shops. Free water refill stations in next to every bathroom.
Akira W — Google review
Clean, clear immigration process and too a little bit longer in security check, a lot of restaurants n cafes after immigration … good hub.. Bogota recommendations to stay full. 2 days visiting Botero n gold museum plus Monserrate cable car
G S — Google review
The new section of the airport, i.e. gates from A10-A15 is crappy. There is construction work and unpleasant CHEMICAL ODORS near gate A14. The walk from security and passport control to these gates is very long. These gates serve Avianca, which is basically the national airline for Colombia. There are very few or no luggage carts for rent. Work is being done on at least some of the people movers. The only reason I'm giving a second star is that some of the businesses and restaurants, especially in the more central area of the airport, stay open 24/7. The more central area, close to security and passport control is fairly nice.
Ruth — Google review
Busy, vibrant airport. Long queue at passport control. Be ready for lots of taxi drivers ready to pounce as you exit the airport. Only use white taxi or yellow taxi.

In addition to classic fairground rides like bumper cars and a Ferris wheel, Mundo Aventura also features go-karts and fast-food counters. The park's special initiatives include environmental education stations and cultural events that showcase Colombian traditions.
The park is awesome and there are so many fun rides around. Don't miss the Terror house. Just note that there isn't anything vegan, so bring something if you are vegan
Chandra R — Google review
This is one of the better parks with better rides compared to salitre magico. The only thing I dont like about this place is that the park opens late at 12 pm and closes really early at 5 pm. Doesn't give much time to do anything. The lines are long because theres only one staff checking the safety systems on rides which makes waiting in line forever. You're pretty much forced to buy the fast express line to bypass the wait or youre not going to have a good time.
Phillip N — Google review
Advertised as entrance is free. Just pay per ride or purchase 1 of 3 memberships. The basic one doesn't give much. The food is economical, but you get what you pay for! Employees are very friendly and helpful. Cost for basic is 40,000 Colombian Pesos (about $10 USD). DELUXE is 60,000 (about $15USD).

Miguel Z — Google review
Nice park for the fun and the family, but in my opinion it needs more attraction for your prices.
Kevin V — Google review
What I cannot understand about Bogota Theme Parks is why they close so early. The day I went it opened at noon and closed at 6pm, crazy. I spent most of my time in lines, the lone to buy tickects was insane, and the lines to get in the best rides even crazier. To be honest I did not buy the most expensive 'passport' as they call the tickets and I also did not buy the 'fast pass' to get in the rides quicker, but the park itself is not that great either. It far less smaller than I thought and most rides feel like they were made for kids except for some extremes ones that are actually quite good. My advice is: if you are going go on a Thurdsday or so, avoid going on Sundays and do not set your expectations too high.
Luis I — Google review

It's a popular spot for locals from neighborhoods like Ciudad Bolivar and Cazuca.
It's a really nice park. Something weird happened to me while I was there though. I was searching for buried treasure with my metal detector when I got a hit on something. I dug about two feet down and all there was was a box of rusty bullets and a giant brick of some sort of white powder. I busted open the powder by accident and then a gust of wind blew it into the pond, when I went back the next day all the ducks were dead :(

I went for running in the athletic track. The place was closed but a hole in the fence allowed me did a workout. The track is in good shape. The maintenance is appropriate for the facilities. In general terms the site is totally recommended for training and running to break your PBs in track. I think that in labour days the track is opened for general admission. The site is public and free
Alejo G — Google review
Went here on a Sunday morning hoping to rent a bike to participate in Ciclovía but no one ever came to open the little shack where the bikes were stored. Ended up discovering the track where people come with their Siberian Huskies to run. Kind of fascinating to watch how people connect themselves via a belt and leash with their dogs to exercise. That numbed the pain (at least a little bit) from not finding a bike to ride

Parque Virgilio Barco is a hidden gem nestled in the Teusaquillo district, just a short stroll from Simon Bolivar Park. Opened to the public in 2002, this park showcases the stunning architectural vision of Rogelio Salmona, who designed it to reflect the highlands of Cundinamarca and Boyaca through its beautiful water mirrors, slopes, and lush gardens. The park's triangular layout offers ample space for relaxation and recreation without any barriers.
I absolutely LOVED this park. I have gone to a lot of Bogota's parks and this one is definitely one of my favorites. It's not the biggest park in the city but I does not lack any of beutiful sights other parks also offer. It is incredible clean, the library is stunning, architecture is just amazing, the park is so well kept, if you have a dog this is the place to take them, the park has beutiful fountains that dogs love to take a swim at. However during weekends and holidays expect it to be filled with all kinds of different people, sights and smells. It depends on what you like to choose when to visit: people or nature. It’s a great little workout uphill, and do not underestimate the downhill, since in the rainy season it is pretty slippery ( can be muddy, slippery rocks, fallen leaves). There is plenty of police, so very very safe. Great views of the part if Bogota. You have to make a reservation online, and beware that by 9:30 on weekdays, the rangers starts the descent from the highest point. Trail goers beware that specially groups of young people tend not to abide by any kind of trail etiquete. People are very nice, though. Unfortunately at some point you will be upset with the people that are posing/ taking selfies ( they are there for the gram, lol). Still, have done it many times while in town and will definygo back many more!

Head of the trail was easy to find. It is very organized: there were people there to help and provide information. One needs to book in advance in an app or website prior to hiking the trail (and we weren't able to at the time) - leaving this review in hopes of helping anyone planning to hike up there: get information and get a "booking". Still I really appreciate how organized this is.

Wonderful hike with varied nature, starting right from the city (no need to drive anywhere). You need to reserve your slot a day in advance before 2pm, and plan to go early! They close at 9:30am and are very strict with kicking everyone out at that time. So if you don’t make it to the viewpoint before 9:30, you will be turned around by the police and park rangers.
David B — Google review
If it is fully open it will be longer than you would expect. I think it is easy as I have done it several times, but it might be of moderate difficulty for a beginner

Amazingly beautiful experience! We didn't the "Claro de Luna" with our kids 7 & 11 years old and it took us 2.5 hours to go up and walk down. You are walking uphill all the time and the second half has steep parts and a lot of stony parts. Bring some motivational snacks next to water in case your kids are not used to longer walks. In case you have knee problems these trails are NOT for you; imagine walking 100+ steep steps. Walking sticks might help.
Martin K — Google review
Beautiful place..it is open now, you have to get s permit online to access on the schedules provided. Nice walk , great views landscapes, mountains and nature. Near the city.
Guillermo R — Google review
There is little to add to the chorus of love that this trail deserves. I'll just add some context. Quebrada la Vieja is one of the entry points to the hills of Bogotá. They are highly protected as rivers feeding the water to this 10m+ metropolis go through this area. Hence the trails have a daily limit on the amount of visitors per trail. Google "eaab senderos" to find a poorly designed government website to get your free booking. There's an app as well apparently but if you come and visit only once, feels pointless to install. Booking trails has to be done just a few days in advance. I was lucky enough to book one the night before. Your mileage may vary. One more note, getting confirmation does not guarantee entry. After showing up at 7am one morning the path was shut down for the day due to rain - plan for contingency, as rain and Bogotá are inseparable. I went to La Cruz, one of the 5 trails. Not the hardest one, but the only one that had slots available. I imagine all of them are great in their own way and provide a different viewpoint to the city aside from the typical Montserrat.

A pleasant surprise, this historic house is situated in a lush park at the northern end of Chapinero contains a beautiful collection of objects representing various periods of decorative art and design. We thoroughly enjoyed walking through the home, with its meticulously conserved rooms, and courtyards. The main entrance is on the east side on Carrera 7, but you can exit through a gate on the west on Carrera 9.

Stunning park, some construction going on but it's still beautiful. There's an enclosure in the park with a pond for geese that is nice to see, benches that you can sit on and take a break and relax and enjoy the breeze and take in the surroundings. There is a play area for children. And don't miss the Museo Chico! A small but absolutely wonderful little Museum.

Beautiful little colonial building housing a museum in a lovely park in Bogota. Some rooms decked out in the decoration of early 20th century. And other rooms containing the decorative collection (ceramic, glassware) of Mercedes Sierra de Perez-El Chico, the owner from 1921 to her death in 1953. Worth a visit if you are in the area.

Well we’ll impressed, excellent facilities.

Miguel O — Google review
The experience of walking, running, exercising, or just spending a few minutes being present, meditating, breathing in this place can sometimes become startling. The lake at its very heart is the symbol of this park, which has experienced many positive changes during its history in Timiza. During a morning stroll, you can observe wild birds of many species and colors, like the red little one in this picture (I know, I'm posting a real challenge for a trained eye here 😁), there are herons, wood pigeons, and of course, ducks hanging around the lake. This is not a really big park, but it's big enough to enjoy a very pleasurable encounter with nature. Activities, especially during during weekends include group aerobics, skate-boarding and cycling. The park offers a great playground for children, as well as an outdoor gym, a soccer pitch, and a running track.

Amazing bike tour with a lot of information about Bogota and Colombia. Mike was a great tour guide and he is perfect English speaking. Trying all different fruits in the fruit market was a big plus!
Kristine S — Google review
Our guides Mike and Luisca were amazing! The tour was great, we got to learn a lot about Bogota and Colombia as a whole. My favourite part was the food market, were we got to taste a ton of fruits! This tour is definitely worth it! The only thing I would say is I wouldn’t necessarily recommend it if you’re not super comfortable on a bike as we were zooming around crowds, cars and buses the whole time. Overall, a great experience!
Chloe X — Google review
Exploring Bogota by bike was a ton of fun. Eduardo, a true biking aficionado, took us through different neighborhoods and explained many interesting facts about the different districts and Bogota itself in an excellent English. We stopped at a market and tried out so many tropical fruits that we have never tasted before despite spending quite some time in South America. A true discovery! We had some spare time and also opted for a morning ride to the Guadalupe viewpoint and the countryside behind the city. It proved to be a fantastic ride and workout and if you are athletic (expect 1,200 meters of positive elevation on a regular mountain bike) then it's really worth the ride! Bikes were in top shape and of good quality. Highly recommended!

On the bike, what a great way to see Bogotá. Mike was our guide for the cycle trip this afternoon. He spent the last 20 years in Colombia and with a background as a journalist, he is a incredible well of information and background stories on the history of the city. The tour covered much of the city, the architecture, the history behind the murals and a bit about the violent past. Especially enjoyable was the fruit and vegetable market. We must have tasted over 25 different types of fruits, amazing. The break at the coffee roaster and Mike’s stories about the layout of Colombia and recent events were a real eye opener. Just so much to enjoy. Our tour lasted well over 4 hours and I am sure we saw all the best parts of the city. Mike, you made us true beliebers 👊. Many thanks!

This was one of our favourite activities to do in Bogotá! We did a morning tour and the introduction at their office went very smoothly. We got our bikes and after a short explanation we were on our way. The tour toom us past all the famous sites in Bogotá, our tour guide did a lot of stops and everywhere he had an interesting story to tell about its history. We also passed the more rougher neighbourhoods which was eye-opening. There is a stop at a local market where we tried lots of different types of tropical fruit. All in all it was a really cool experience and we can really recommend people to do this while visiting here!

The Journalists' Park Gabriel García Marquez is a beautiful park located in the heart of Bogota. It is a great place to enjoy some quality time with friends, family, or loved ones and it is also a great spot for learning about Colombian history and culture. The park features many historic monuments, including a statue of Colombia's national hero, Simón Bolívar. Additionally, the park is home to several coffee shops and restaurants as well as bars.
Sometimes i like to sit on a hospitable built environment and watch people go about their lives. I sink into sonder and sink my teeth into another banano. Someone is playing techno out of a portable speaker. College kids head home after evening classes. The glowing TransMileno rumbles past. Lovers stop to kiss. Some days feel longer than others.

I was surprised to find this park right in the middle of one of the busiest intersections in Bogota. It allows for a nice short walk, enjoying nature and the variety of trees along the way. Almost half the intended walk around the lake was closed at the time of my visit, but still it was worth the time. It is clean and well kept for Bogota's standards. There are a number of signs that explains a little about the plants and animals that live there. Parking was a problem, and we were only able to park in a car wash business close by. This place is not a must visit for a tourist by any stretch of the imagination, but, if you want to stretch your legs, this is a good place for that. I felt safe here as well. Locals visit the park regularly.

Hippies Park, also known as Hippie, is a vibrant public space that hosts various events and social gatherings. The park is surrounded by a variety of bars and restaurants, making it a popular spot for locals and tourists alike. Opened in mid-2015, this welcoming park offers artfully prepared food made with whole, local, and organic ingredients. With a focus on tolerance and freedom of expression, people of all ages and backgrounds come together to relax and unwind in this urban oasis.
This is a great place to go chill and be with your friends. I would highly recommend hanging out here on a Friday or Saturday night, but also keeping in mind that it can be a little sketchy. There is a police station directly there, but I would be cautious because they don’t seem to do very much if something happens.
Eric A — Google review
A park with lots of people smoking weed. Not good. Not bad. Low key fun. But overall just a park. The surrounding area has many bars and restaurant at affordable prices.
Andy P — Google review
The place is full of drug users, people drinking alcoholic beverages (although that’s illegal and there is a police post in the same park); there is also pickpocketing in the area and the park does look dirty, specially during the night. Not an ideal place to visit if you are not used to the city activity.
Cristhian L — Google review
It’s a “tolerance park” where people of all ages and backgrounds gather to relax, unwind, and detach from the big city for a moment. The name is very appropriate because this park embodies freedom and the ability to express yourself without feeling harassed. There are skaters, gothic and alternative people, LGBT, kids (which personally I would not bring here), elderly, everything. Lots of people smoking and drinking on any given day of the week in a spot where they won’t be judged, but even more so on Friday/Saturday nights where the park fills up, music is played, and vendors abound. The one thing I don’t really like is that there are areas that often smell like urine, homeless people coming up to ask you for stuff, and police sometimes drop by and “speak” to people which takes away from the aura.
Ted D — Google review
It’s always great. Filled with people at night.

Accessible by bus from the South Transport Terminal in Choachi, this park offers breathtaking natural beauty and is an ideal destination for families with children. The well-maintained trails make it suitable for all fitness levels, allowing visitors to spend the entire day there.
This is a nice and easy hike to do when in Bogota and looking for some nice place in the nature. The paramo ecosystem is so interesting. We went with a group of local friends and they explained us all the fascinating facts of the environment there. The drive from Bogota to the start of the hike is quite an experience since the road is full of cyclists - be careful! Entrance fee for International is higher than locals feel. Bring shoes that are water resistant and good for hiking; although it is an easy walk, the path is slippery and full of water springs.

(Translated by Google) This trail is definitely worth checking out. If you can, arrive around 6 am to enjoy the tranquility and fully connect with nature, before more people arrive and the experience changes. As for the demand, I would say that it is a medium-strong level. If you visit during this season, wear shoes with good grip, as the rain and mud make it quite slippery. To go up to Las Moyas, it will depend on the weather. If it has rained, you will probably only be allowed to go as far as Moyitas, but even so, the walk is worth it. It is a beautiful place that disconnects you for a while from the rhythm of chaotic Bogotá.

(Translated by Google) It's a good park. It has plenty of entertainment, lots to do, plenty of green areas with a good layout. You can do any sport you can imagine. Everything is well-designed and well-equipped, and the people are quite friendly. The only thing I don't like much is that I felt a little unsafe there. I recommend that they line up to give information to people and provide quality service, the courts are also in poor condition. Parque Cedro Golf, formerly part of Hacienda El Cedro, is a hidden forest within the neighborhood that bears the hacienda's name. This park offers a perfect setting for walking, exercising, and spending time with pets. With its opening hours from 6 am to 6 pm, it provides an excellent opportunity for metropolitan living. The park's expansive grounds feature beautiful tall trees and open spaces that offer a refreshing escape within the city.
A nice places, seems safe when I was here. They close the park at night from 6pm to 6am.

Great amusement park for all family. My kids love it very much. This is not the first time we have come, my kids are asking me to visit Hello Park every week. In this park they have very friendly staff, very interesting entertainment program and all attractions are different so we never saw the same picture.

(Translated by Google) We visited this space filled with lights and attractions, and it was an incredible sensory experience! From floor to ceiling, everything is filled with lights that change, move, and react to touch, keeping children active and excited in every corner. The walls are also interactive, and there's so much to discover. It's ideal for spending several hours exploring and having fun. However, I agree with other visitors: the heat is really oppressive. It detracts from the experience a bit. It would be great if they could improve the ventilation or air conditioning, because the place deserves it. In short, a unique experience worthwhile, but it would be even better if the indoor climate were addressed. My son with autism was allowed free admission for my husband to babysit, even though my son paid full admission.

(Translated by Google) It's an interactive and sensory park for children ages 2 to 12. It's spectacular; kids have a blast. Children's admission costs 30,000 for adults and 18,000 for the experience. The only thing I didn't like is that there are no bathrooms for children, just a family bathroom. And on the slide attraction, when the child falls into the ball pit, it's a little hard; it's not a mat, but a floor. Otherwise, everything is very nice. I recommend going during the week; it gets very crowded on weekends. I went on a Monday, and there were only 3 children, so it's much more enjoyable.

(Translated by Google) It's nice, but I don't give it a higher rating because it lacks many safety guards. The ball pit should have a padded bottom because if you fall, you land on the floor. The climbing wall stairs are also unprotected. The floor should be more suitable for a space where children are playing.

Humedal El Salitre is a small but beautiful oasis of nature located within the Salitre sports park in Bogota. Despite facing reduction due to urban development, it remains a refuge for local and migratory birds. The wetland features a well-equipped path around a small lagoon, offering opportunities for birdwatching and nature photography. It's an ideal spot for ecotourism and responsible tourism, providing impressive natural beauty and diverse wildlife.
