The 10 best parks and gardens in Pucon

The road becomes dirt and gravel for the last 8km. I was able to do it in a crappy Chinese car, so not a big deal but it might be tough in wet weather. Hiking trails to the falls were very muddy and partially covered in melting snow. It's mostly a forest trail without a ton of great views, but still peaceful. The ranger at the entry gate was nice and kind and patiently explained the trail conditions to me in a language I pretended to understand.

This hike turned me into a hiker! 😀 Such a wonderful experience. There are different trails you can do - we did the trail to Paillaco. The place is easy to get to via bus from Pucon. The hike itself has different sections to it, which are all very distinct. And finally when you get to the top you have a great panaramic view of all the volcanoes 🌋. Also lots of super friendly people on the walk. It’s really well signposted so can’t get lost. Recommended to take food like sandwiches(especially some sweet fruit) and water.

Very good hiking to the 3 lakes. A lot of steep uphill at the start and then steep downhill at the end through twisty roots. Hiking poles recommended, or pick up some of the abandoned hiking sticks near the start if you are lucky enough to find some. Make sure to buy your entry passes a couple of days in advance: you won't get in if you go there without, and it is a long way there.

Perfect hike with magical scenery. The snow made it more difficult than usual, but also led to a different hiking experience overall. One can do the three first lakes in 4-5 hours. Definitely recommend this hike

This is a beautiful park! We hiked on the Tres Lagos trail and added on Lago Patos and Lago Huerquehue. The trails are pretty well maintained but the further lakes' trail is a bit less traveled and you can tell. Be prepared for a significant amount of elevation gain! We had over 1000 meters doing all five lakes and the two waterfalls along the way. The upper loop is really cool because you actually get among the Aracaunia (Monkey Puzzle) trees and many of them are quite large. Make sure you reserve your entry in advance as cell service is quite bad in the park.

Unable to get to the top of the trail due to there being a LOT of snow and ice for over 200m on a really steep incline (and a lot of mud and snow for about 15-20mins beforehand). There was no prior warning of this on their website, so we weren’t prepared with hiking poles and crampons. We saw locals with this equipment so it is definitely needed, I recommend a notice on the website recommending this as it’s a shame we couldn’t finish the hike.

This is a wonderful parc and definitely worth a stop if you have the time. If you have to choose we would recommend Parque Conquillio more ☺️. The trails do offer some beautiful views of the lagunas on the one side and Volcano Villarica on the other side. There are longer and shorter trails that are medium difficulty. Enjoy the beauty!

Excellent! Very informative and interesting! The path is easy. We were two seniors and three kids! The guide gave us time and was very helpful! Most go!

Great experience to see and walk inside a lava tube. Our guide spoke great English and was very knowledgeable. I recommend adding this to your list of places to visit.

A really astounding experience. A mix of science and nature . The tour explains a lot of the details about volcanic eruptions, how the caves were made and the life of the amazing Villarrica Volcano

Interesting place, and nice guided tour, but 18000 CLP per person, come on! Another gift of nature paywalled and commodified. On the other hand do not miss the trail (Sendero mirador Los Crateres) leaving from a parking lot just a few meters before the entrance to the Cuevas parking.

Interesting place, it's a pity that the guided tour was only in Spanish… It’s wet inside and dripping from above, so a rain jacket will come in handy! 💦🌋

The road to get here is rough. We managed it without 4x4 but low clearance vehicles will have little chance. The caves and the view of Villarrica are AMAZING. We did a tour of the caves as well as a walk through the forest path. Our tour guide was Pedro and he very kindly had us walk with him to share his talking points in English. He was very knowledgeable. Loved it and hope to go again someday

The walk is difficult and long, about 2 hours of going uphill, then easier. But it is definitely worth it. The frozen lagoons are beautiful.

Great hike to the summit. It’s a long hike so I recommend going early. I think I got there at 8am. Once I was there the people working there told you which route to follow and give you a map. The route is easy to follow and all the people you meet on the way are super friendly. It’s a fairly long way - I think it took me 6 hours. Beautiful views at the top and along the way.

A beautiful nature reserve. The rangers give you valuable advice and a commented map at the start of the hike. Plan a full day for the hike: the views at the top are amazing, and take time to enjoy the magnificent as true along the way.

Nice hike in a peaceful woodland with birdsong, flowers, geckos and amazing trees. Nice views of araucaria and volcanos. Steep 4 hr climb and a slippery gravel descent where I sprained my ankle.

Great hike up to the summit with spectacular views and nature. Easy to get bus from Carburgua bus station right to the park entrance and back home too. The park staff are friendly, have English maps and lend out free hiking sticks or poles. Note, there is drinking water half way up so you don't have to carry so much like we did.

It was one of the beautiful places I've ever been in my life, the energy and power here is incredible amazing, that why it's called sanctuary, the Lenga Forest and the you enter to a pure Araucaria's Forest, I can't describe how beautiful it is... If you have the time don't miss this opportunity!!!! 🏔️🦋✨

A nice hike but there are definitely better options around. In summer, the long steep climb to get to the forest trail is dull and quite boring. Once in the forest it gets better though a bit monotonous. At the top the lagunas & views are beautiful but not as stunning as in other parks (Conguillio, Altos de Lircay...).

This was an amazing experience. It rained all day and so I figured soaking in hot water next to a thundering waterfall was the right thing to do. I wasn't wrong! Unfortunately the food at the restaurant was not good. Just skit it and go straight to the main attraction. The pisco sour I had while in the hot tub was actually pretty good and strong. I wish I had more than one.

Great day out with stunning views. We booked in advance online which was well worth doing even though it was quiet. Facilities were basic but clean and the lockers were a good size for all of our things. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Absolutely beautiful place. Easy walk to the waterfall. Restaurant offers lunch menus, four people eat plenty for 24.000 pesos or about USD 37,00.

Great experiance and funny employees. About an hour of rail-sliding. Would recommend it to anybody who wants to have a few awesome views of the waterfall and nature in general!

Great zipline (canopy) experience. Beautiful view over the waterfall. Too bad it ended, would definitely live there permenantly.

2000clp p/p. The Salto is nice, but you do not get either s welcome nor info about that. Just "you need to pay 2000CLP/each now". Ask for the receipt (Boleta), he tried to avoid it. Be aware, they are obliged to give it. The way was also bad, we left the car at the beginning of the street, cause we had a small Peugeot.

Beautiful rapids and native forest. The walk is very short and always on wooden walkways so it's definitely for all ages and even for people with minor disabilities. The only problem is that the person in charge suffers from a common illness here in Chile that I like to call "I am absolutely horrible at customer service, I'm aware of it, but I just don't care". His dogs are cute though, so you can just ignore that man.

The entrance fee can be paid only with cash.

Beautiful place, well conserved natural enviroment, the trees have signs with their names on them, and you can see the rafting groups when they pass through the waterfall.

No parking, had to leave car on the road. But grounds and falls are super nice.

Lovely little private sanctuary that serves amazing crepes. The owner showed us around his own little Swiss area and had great advice about the area. Definitely visit it when in the Area!
