Rocca Roveresca, also known as Rocca di Senigallia, is a 15th-century fortress located in Senigallia, Italy. It was named after the Della Rovere family and is considered one of the most important monuments in the city. The fortress features a courtyard and well-preserved friezes, stucco work, and carvings. It is owned by the Italian State and hosts art exhibitions, musical events, and cultural gatherings.
The atmosphere, the pet, and people enjoy walking around! I like it and I do recommend it!

Coming out of the train station, you'll be treated to an impressive view of this imposing defensive structure. For an entrance fee of €5 per person, you can visit this elaborately restored complex and also enjoy a beautiful view of the old town. The staff is very friendly and speaks English. Both the fortress and the town are highly recommended. Beautiful, with their own unique charm. Thank you for the wonderful day.

The Roveresca Fort is near city centre in the commune of Senigallia, located in Ancona province of Marche region, in central Italy. The fort was constructed in 15th century by the duke Giovanni della Rovere, is symbolic monument of the city, constructed with bricks. The fort still stands tall in perfect condition, is a splendid example of military architecture of Renaissance period.

Located on the right bank of the Misa River, Portici Ercolani is a historic arcade that was constructed to accommodate merchants during the Magdalena Fair. This impressive structure features 126 arches crafted from Istrian white stone and was designed by Giuseppe Maria Ercolani in the 18th century under Pope Benedict XIV's patronage.

(Translated by Google) The Ercolani Porticoes represent the symbol of Senigallia. In the past they had the task of replacing the old city walls including the shops of the many traders who lived in the city of Senigallia. There are 126 arches and they run along the Misa river. Events are often organized with antique barnacerelle or vinyl records or clothes. Ideal for taking a walk or cycling. (Translated by Google) The Ercolani Porticoes are one of the urban planning elements that most characterize the city. Their name recalls Monsignor Giuseppe Ercolani (1677-1759) who designed them in the mid-eighteenth century by will of Pope Benedict XIV, born Prospero Lambertini, with the aim of annually hosting the famous ever-expanding Fiera Franca. The Portici Ercolani, one hundred and twenty-six arches in Istrian stone, run along the right bank of the Misa river. Originally they should have also been built on the opposite side of the river, but the crisis of the fair, due to the loss of tax benefits, had the effect of blocking new constructions and slowing down the completion of the ongoing construction sites. Today, under the Portici Ercolani, it is possible to relive and breathe the atmosphere of the golden years of the fair every Thursday morning for the weekly market.

Baia Canaria is a dog-friendly beach with golden sand and dedicated services, making it an ideal destination for pet lovers. The amenities include clean toilets, changing rooms, and showers for both dogs and humans. Visitors can enjoy a variety of tasty drinks at the snack shack. The beach is well-maintained by a friendly team that looks after the well-being of both dogs and their owners. While the prices are on the higher side, there are plenty of offerings for dogs.
We loved our visit to Baia Canaria Beach! 10 out of 10 would recommend. This beach is a paradise not just for humans but also for our furry friends. The amenities are top-notch, including clean toilets, changing rooms, and showers for both dogs and humans. It’s a true testament to how pet-friendly this place is! The snack shack is a delightful spot where you can grab a variety of tasty drinks, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic. They also offer a delicious lunch menu, and there's even ice cream for the dogs, which our pups absolutely loved! 🐾 What really stood out to us were the thoughtful touches like life vests for dogs and a variety of water toys. They also provide fresh drinking water for the dogs, ensuring our pets stayed hydrated and happy throughout our visit. Baia Canaria Beach is a must-visit for anyone traveling with dogs. It’s not just a beach; it’s a haven for pet owners looking for a relaxing and enjoyable day out. We’ll definitely be back!

(Translated by Google) Palazzo del Duca in Senigallia, historic building in the center of a tourist attraction, pedestrian area, in my opinion the latest renovation was clumsy, hosts several exhibitions in recent days including one of the most important one dedicated to the local photographer maestro Giacomelli. It is accessed via two flights of stairs on the upper floor there are several rooms, the main one with a beautiful decorated wooden box ceiling. Also on the first floor there is the ticket office and a large counter where the brochures of the various artists who are exhibited in the rooms are on sale. The square of the same name which, in addition to various restaurants, hosts the Christmas market for these Christmas holidays, very beautiful and with a playground for children, too bad the north wind, I recommend visiting Paid parking in Piazza Simoncelli and along the Portici Ercolani until 7.30 pm, free after and on holidays.

In the heart of Senigallia, Italy, lies a historic gem known as Palazzetto Baviera. This 14th-century building was later enhanced with a Renaissance touch by Giacomo Baviera in the late 15th century. The palace features a charming patio adorned with a portico and an elegant well surrounded by Bavieras family coats of arms.

The structure is located in the center, overlooking Piazza del Duca in front of the Rocca Roveresca and a stone's throw from the station. In the center of the internal courtyard there is an elegant cockpit and on the left the staircase leading to the first floor where the exhibition was set up. Really interesting exhibition, shame about the positioning of the lights which did not allow us to fully enjoy the artist's works. On the same floor as the exhibition are the famous stucco rooms. The play of mirrors that allows you to admire them in all their splendor is interesting. (Translated by Google) The Palazzetto Baviera overlooks Piazza del Duca and was built by will of Giovanni Giacomo Baviera, maternal uncle and lieutenant of Giovanni della Rovere, at the same time as the Rocca. The Baviera family immediately assumed a leading role in the Senigallian nobility and maintained ownership of the Palazzetto until 1956, when the Marquise Barbara Marazzani Baviera Benedetti donated the building and all the objects contained in it to the Municipality of Senigallia which still today he is the owner. The current façade is the result of the restoration carried out in the years following the 1930 earthquake which caused serious structural damage to the building. Going beyond the entrance door you enter a small porticoed courtyard with round arches supported by white columns, in the center of which there is an elegant well decorated with the family's noble coat of arms, but it is certainly on the upper floor that a of the most beautiful treasures of the city of Senigallia: six rooms of the palace that Giuseppe Baviera had embellished in 1560 by Federico Brandani d'Urbino from Urbino, a "very famous plasterer" or the best that could be had in the artistic panorama of the time. What the visitor finds, room after room, is a true triumph of stuccowork that entirely covers the ceilings as evidence of the prestige and intellectual and material wealth that the Baviera family intended to communicate. Brandani spent many years of his life in the creation of this work in which representations of battles, biblical stories, heroic deeds and historical facts alternate without ever losing the harmony of the whole. The six rooms, connected by doors with marble jambs on which the initials of the client and owner "J.B." are carved. (Josepho Baviera), are named after the subjects represented in the stucco scenes and represent an ideal journey that retraces the history of humanity, from the episodes taken from the Holy Scriptures in the Hall of the Old Testament, to the mythological ones in the Hall of the Labors of Hercules , passing through the epic feats in the Hall of Ilium and the facts of the history of Rome in the Hall of Republican Rome and in the Hall of Imperial Rome to end in the small room called the Camerino della Vittoria with the representation of a winged Victory and medallions with representations of the gods . A visit to this little jewel is highly recommended, in my opinion it needs to be enhanced and made better known to the public.

Christopher Broadbent is a photographer specializing in still-life. Born and raised in England, he studied cinematography and photography in Paris at the Institut des Hautes Etudes Cinèmatographiques. After a few years in Rome as assistant director, he moved to Milan to work in advertising and editorial photography. Awarded both in Italy and in the United States for his photographic works, for ten years he has dedicated himself to his research into still life. The exhibition remains open until 28 February 2022, organized by Senigallia Città della Fotografia, in collaboration with the Cassa di Risparmio di Jesi Foundation. The Palazzetto Baviera overlooks Piazza del Duca and was built by Giovanni Giacomo Baviera, maternal uncle and lieutenant of Giovanni della Rovere, at the same time as the Rocca, perhaps based on a design by Baccio Pontelli, as suggested by the harmonious proportion of the small courtyard. The building became the property of the family in 1512 and remained so until 1956, when the Baviera family donated it to the municipality of Senigallia together with the furnishings. Built and then renovated between the end of the fifteenth century and the first decade of the sixteenth century, the Palazzetto Baviera reproduces, in the small cloister and in the sober and elegant atmosphere, the motifs and proportions of the cloister of the Convento delle Grazie. But it is certainly on the upper floor that one of the most beautiful treasures of the city of Senigallia is revealed, the sixteenth-century ceilings entirely decorated with stucco by Federico Brandani. (Translated by Google) House Museum of Pope Pius IX of the Mastai - Ferretti family of Senigallia, located in the street of the same name in the historic center of Senigallia, just behind the Town Hall, in the central Piazza Roma. The Pope King - Pius IX in his long papacy in the nineteenth century, among his major recognitions, the creation of the Council of Ministers, freedom of the press and the formation of the civic guard as well as the Lay Consulta. I visited this house - museum, admission is free, on the ground floor is the ancient library and on the first floor we find the House Museum of Pope Pius IX. Composed of four rooms, high frescoed ceilings, many ancient paintings, various pieces of furniture, painted chests, tables, papal coins, papal clothing, candlesticks and many accessories as well as the bedroom, with the single canopy bed, all accompanied by a papal red upholstery. Even being from Senigallia, visiting this place is always an incredible emotion, you can breathe the air of history of the Pontifical and Royal Church. I was welcomed by the very kind Mrs. Lorenza, a special person, who after giving me some historical notes, introduced me to the rooms where I took many photos, to let you know this beautiful ancient place. Since there are many photos, look at them in the photography section and you will realize what it is and its beauty. For those who happen to be in Senigallia, it is an obligatory stop to go and visit the House Museum, a tourist and historical attraction, you will see that you will not regret it. Thanks Giovanni. Grazie Giovanni.

The facade is simple from an architectural point of view; a marble plaque indicates that the future Pope was born in this building. The interior houses a museum, full of important documents, books, sacred furnishings, various objects of Pius IX and works of art. During the twentieth century the building suffered numerous damages due to earthquakes and it was necessary to undergo restoration work each time. (Translated by Google) Entering this museum is like taking a journey through time with a slightly steamy twist: among paintings, relics, and stories of popes, you find yourself immersed in an atmosphere that makes you sweat more than Christmas Mass. The rooms are so full of detail that every corner whispers forbidden stories and secret scandals (I'm not saying Pius IX was a glutton, but let's just say that with those long robes... the imagination soars). The real attraction? That sacred silence broken only by your footsteps and the occasional glimpse of paintings that seem to know more than they say. And if you think history is boring, here it becomes a game of glances, mysteries, and... double entendres worthy of a Vatican thriller. Come for the history, stay for the adrenaline. And if you happen to hear a whisper, it's not the wind, it's the past that intrigues you. Fantastic place, well-kept! Posto fantastico tenuto bene !

It is important to understand the organization of a noble building from 1700/1800, where the future Pope Pius IX was born and lived. The documentation that makes known the vicissitudes of a papacy, which found itself fighting against the House of Savoy, which expanded its control over what would be the future Italian state, is useful. Worthy of note is the competent guide who is attentive to answering the questions asked. Entrance to the museum is free, and this encourages you to leave a contribution. Every summer, the charming town of Senigallia comes alive with the vibrant energy of the Summer Jamboree, an annual rock and roll festival that draws music enthusiasts from around the globe. This lively event celebrates 1950s culture in style, featuring vintage cars, exhilarating dance contests, and electrifying live performances.
The most popular American music festival at Senigallia!
Irene T — Google review
Very fun and unique festival, themed the 40-50 American culture of rock'n roll. It's very beautiful to see the city transform and go back in time with typical clothes and music. Very special is the old car exhibition and to watch people dancing. The only negative side can be the large amount of people who fill the city to visit the festival, in fact sometime ls hard to find parking and to enjoy the city.
Samuele M — Google review
I have travelled twice to this event from the UK. The first time I flew into Ancona and took a taxi. The second time I drove there via France and Switzerland. I stayed for 2 weeks and it has to to the best FREE rockabilly/rock n roll music event in the world. Almost 2 weeks of partying every day in glorious sunshine, with friendly people from all over Europe. Great DJs & great bands on various stages dotted all over the town. I have made a lot of new friends just from travelling to this event and I will definitely be back in the future. The town itself is quaint with medieval roots. It is on the coast and the beach is glorious. The sea is warm and clear. There are loads of restaurants and bars, including outside bars when watching the music. Book early to make sure you get a hotel somewhere central.

Bagni 77 Senigallia is a beach resort that captures and immortalizes precious moments, constantly updating its gallery with new encounters and special memories. The place offers a beautiful beach atmosphere, hearty staff, delicious food, hand-picked wine and spirits selection, and live concerts at sunset. It's described as one of the best beach experiences in the area where attention to detail is evident. The resort also promotes a project to support areas with scarce water resources.
Wonderful place! It’s very modern and well kept. You get amazing snacks and drinks at the bar and the staff is just marvelous! They also speak English! Close by the beach there are a lot of culinary choices. I found my new beach spot in Europe.

The beach resort is clean and very well-ordered, 22 euros for umbrella and two beach loungers is a honest price, the music is not deafening and the idea of promoting a project of help and support for areas where water is scarse or absent at all is very very nice. If you take an aperitif you must also take (and pay for) the food. Very good place but not the best as the owner states …

(Translated by Google) We chose this establishment as it has an agreement with our Hotel (Sabra) spending 18 euros per day for 7 days. (2 sunbeds and 1 umbrella) from 29 August to 4 September. Very friendly and helpful staff. I didn't use the bar/restaurant as I had full board. Beach always clean. Sunbeds and umbrellas, especially towards the end of the season, should be placed further apart because in this way you will not be able to take advantage of your own shade or place the sunbed in the sun without invading the space of your neighbors.

After a week of hard work, we visited the establishment of Mr. Carlo and Mrs. Armanda. Upon arrival and a few minutes of relaxation, we decided to play racquetball. However, our game was interrupted by Mr. Carlo, who not only dropped the ball but also scolded us for playing in the dry bath area.

(Translated by Google) After a week of hard work we went to Messrs. Carlo and Armanda's factory. After the arrival and a few minutes of relaxation, our unhealthy minds thought well of letting us play racket, after some sublime exchanges (the ball never fell), we were caught by Mr., who in addition to dropping the ball, helped us he also 'scolded' us, forbidding us to play in the drying room. This is neither a criticism nor a way of making controversy, but just behind us, thousands of people were playing the following sports: -RACKETS - BOWLS - MARBLES -SOCCER -VOLLEYBALL -GOLF -BIKES -MOTOCROSS -ARCHY and I could swear I saw someone on a HORSE. All in all the day went well even if this small inconvenience risked ruining our day. My wife, daughter, and I had a fantastic time at Bagni Nella 57 beach club in Senigallia a couple of weeks ago during the off-season. We were on the lookout for a place that still offered chair and umbrella rentals, and we couldn't have been luckier to find this gem. Despite it being the off-season, the beach was still stunning. But what truly made our day exceptional was the owners' warmth and hospitality. We're incredibly thankful for their kindness and helpfulness throughout our visit. They not only provided us with great service but also shared food recommendations and even called a nearby restaurant to check their opening hours. The beach club itself was comfortable and well-maintained, with chairs and umbrellas in perfect condition. Thanks to the wonderful owners, we had a truly memorable family day. If you're in Senigallia, make sure to visit this beach club – it's perfect for a relaxing day by the sea with your loved ones.

(Translated by Google) We've been going there every summer for 20 years, and it never gets boring! It is ideal for relaxation and holidays, it has everything you need, from the deck of cards to the games for the children, to the racket court, the trampoline mat, up to the bar for breakfasts and quick lunches, to the restaurant on the beach (literally). Anselmo is very kind and always with a solution to "marine" problems. The young staff is fantastic, the girl at the bar makes excellent soy cappuccinos and is really courteous. A gem: some scenes from the Canale 5 series "Alex Bravo cop in his own way" with Marco Bocci were filmed here... In short, everything was perfect and highly recommended!!! Insomma, tutto perfetto e straconsigliato!!!

Hawaii Bath Beach is a hidden gem that promises an unforgettable seaside experience. This pristine beach is meticulously maintained, showcasing the dedication of its staff who treat every visitor like family. Whether you're lounging on comfortable beach chairs or enjoying delicious drinks and food from the bar, there's something for everyone here. The atmosphere is vibrant, with options for beach tennis, volleyball, ping pong, and even a kids' area to keep the little ones entertained.
Superbly maintained and clean public beach. Attentive service

While staying in town for a weekend in a none beachside hotel we decided on Hawaii Bath Beach for our beach chairs. We paid €20 for 2 chairs for an entire day. (Did this three times because we LOVED this spot). The young man who helped us was incredible even though we only knew some Italian. They had fun drink options and okay food as well. Very friendly and would highly recommend!
