The 37 best beaches in and around Lido di Venezia

Public beach, which was very easy to get to. We purchased a 24-hour public transportation pass. We took the water taxi then took the bus. You can rent umbrellas and chairs if needed. It's very congested when you first enter. We took a left and walked about 100 meters and found plenty of space to relax. They have toilets and an outdoor shower to freshen up along with a cafe for food and drinks.

We ventured off the main island of Venice to go to Lido so we can have some beach time. Unfortunately the cheapest bungalows were all booked up so we decided to splurge for one on the front row. It was pricy but still half the price of a bungalow at one of the water parks back home and not nearly as nice. The bathrooms were clean and the snack bar had some decent food. The water was calm and fairly warm early in the day but later the wind picked up. Also the beach wasn’t that crowded that day. Not like Santa Monica on a summer weekend.

This was a really nice experience. The only con is the distance from the loungers to the sea but I don’t think they can control that. The shower and toilet facilities why great/normal. The bar/cafe where we had our lunch was great. Good sun loungers easy to manoeuvre. But it’s worth bearing in mind that you can’t escape the sun. Overall lovely beach and warm sea.

Watch out for the scam salespeople that come by your chair. Enjoyed an afternoon under an umbrella for 5€ more than the online price but nice beach and good swimming. Good showers and bathrooms.

The beach itself is beautiful. However, the people are not kind. We went on a cloudy afternoon and most of the chairs were empty. We paid for a daily rental and were put in the back because of seasonal rentals (who were not currently present). We were told we needed to move back to the back. We explained we could not see our kids in the water and that if we had to sit in the back with no one there we would need to be refunded. The refund was denied. Multiple people continued to tell us we needed to move out of the chairs even the approximately 80% of them were not occupied. We don’t understand why it mattered to people we weren’t bothering when the chairs were empty. Just figured people were being unkind. We hadn’t spoken to anybody, didn’t have loud music on, we were just sitting watching our kids. I would not recommend this place.

We went to the blue moon beach but it was full so we walked down to this beach. We got a cabana for 125 euros. It was expensive and you don’t really get any service. You need to walk up to the bar and order. They speak very little English. We got there late so if you come early there are chairs on a nice grassy area with no view of the ocean. The drinks are cheap and you just need to ask for a bucket and ice. The location Is beautiful, the water was warm. Look up the history of the old hotel behind that is now closed. I hear a COIMA purchased the hotel so I’m sure good things are to come.

Went early to the beach (from Venice Gardini) and used paid entrance to the beach with umbrella and sun bed. It was worth it. Long ,sandy and beautiful beach. Local restaurant (Circus) under huge tent serves very good pizza and cold beer.

Beach is very wide and long, water warm and clean however due to the sand don't expect it will be a cristal clear. A lot of shells on the sand so watch your steps. Sand very, very hot. Sun beds, towels umbrellas, changing rooms, showers - everything is paid. Shower costs 1euro for 80 second! Lido is not far away from St.Marco, it's only 20 minutes by water tram, so if you would like to rest a bit from overcrowded Venice, this is a good choice anyway.

Simply loved the place. Beautiful period building with everything huge with high ceilings and grandure which makes your feel under some spell. As you enter the building your feel like you have travelled back in royal times when everything used be royal and magnificent. Located in the lovely Lido faxing the sea the only word which defines it is grand. Staircase is huge vast and as per building grand. Beautiful fresco and long curtains with the splendid use of marble.

If you're a movie lover, you need to come to venice! It's extremely crowded tho, so be prepared 😂 The red carpet is huge and you have a 99% of seeing someone famous. In sala grande its best to reserve seats as far away as possible, because the screen is huge.

Went to the La Biennale di Venezia Cinema 2022 / Venice Film Festival. The Sala Grande/Palazzo del cinema was extremely nice. We went to the Premier of 'Bones and All' on the Friday night. The staff seemed very friendly, although there was a small queue for drinks it took a while to serve People however the drinks were very cheap. 2 glasses of prosecco and a bottle of water was only €10, I don't know if that was a mistake but I anticipated much higher prices.

Worst bloody service. The ticket teller sold us tickets for wrong date and I did specify the date twice. Got refused at the cinema and after talking to three different employees, missed the show. Then they refused to change it to later screening and refunded our tickets without apology. We had to line up from the back of the queue again and then there were no tickets left. It was during the film festival. I'm done.

Superb beach stretches for miles, lots of nearby local facilities in Lido, 15 mins from City of Venice.

A highly underrated beach only 30 minutes via Ferry from the heart of Venice. It was well worth the visit, the walking portion was long but there were areas to stop and rest if needed. Or there was a bus line available if you're really exhausted. There were SO many shells on the beach, made for some fun shell-hunting. Waves were low, the sand was soft and the water was shallow enough for kiddos to play! One thing I didn't love, you have to pay to use the restrooms! $1-$2 per person to use the toilets.

The whole beach is too commercialized. There was only 1 small part which is free and rest was paid. The free part had no tourist facilities. And the people trying to rent umbrellas keep haunting you again and again.

This is the best beach on the peninsula, as the area behind it is uninhabited, with groves, woodland and dunes preserved in their natural state.

So much sand and water and air

This place is really wild and left to the nature. The beach is full of algae, the water has its life. You can see here many little hermit crabs and huge regular crabs.

This long sheltered beach has good sand but lots of dead kelp and I did see some jelly's. Certainly not as good as the Lido beaches, but probably not nearly as crowded either. I was there in April and the water was still way to cold to swim. So it was no surprise that the beach was deserted.

The atmosphere is also quite charming, providing a nice place to soak in the Venetian vibe. However, during my visit, the service was noticeably lacking. While not unfriendly, the staff seemed somewhat disengaged and slow to respond. Getting their attention for orders or assistance wasn't always easy, which slightly detracted from the overall experience. Overall, Bar Maleti is a solid choice for those prioritizing excellent coffee and delicious pastries in a nice ambiance.

A one stop shop for any food or drink needs. In the morning you have wonderful croissants and at noon delicious salads and sides. Can get crowded but this is mostly due to its excellent location between the beach and the boat docks, surrounded by hotels. Staff was helpful on more than one occasion and food never disappointed.

We had 2 different fixed price menu, pasta and meat, with wine of the house for 36. Dishes were great and good service, wine was excellent. Only downside is they took too much time to take our orden and bring the second dish, and I couldn't try the ice cream due to satisfying portion sizes :)

The place get 3 stars solely from the view of this place which is really nice. The food are not as good as i thought. The Caribe pizza (seafood) came quite wet so i didnt enjoy it that much. Seems like they put frozen seafood on the pizza and bake it thats why its wet. The grill sea bass is good nothing to mention. The worst part is the aperol spritz they dont use aperol brand but some cheap know off brand which doesnt taste good at all. I went there before 19:00 pm so the restaurant dont open yet. When i order the aperol the bartender say it 3.5€ and i say i‘ll stay until dinner so he say to pay later. When the bill comes the aperol cost me 4.5€ which is a bit odd that they change price like that. If anyone wants the nice view then its ok but be careful with the food and drinks. Lastly the cover charge bread are hard as a rock (probably 1-2 days old bread) not nice at all. Overall 3 stars from me.

The only downside was the service. The waiting staff had no enthusiasm whatsoever and dressed in scruffy clothing, I think I caught one of them roll their eyes when we asked for water to go alongside the drinks we ordered. We arrived here late one night as the chef had his coat on and the ovens were off. However they very kindly offered to make us pizza to takeaway. Both pizza’s were delicious and very reasonably priced. We returned several nights later to eat in the restaurant the food once again was delicious, service was excellent, and prices very reasonable. I’d highly recommend eating here.

We are from San Diego, CA. Venice was our third and last spot to visit on our multi city trip to Italy via Costco Travel. Costco Travel is awesome BTW. We found this small outdoor place by accident as we were walking up to the sidewalk after a long walk on the beach. This type of food was so welcome after all of the Italian food we've had on the trip. The team here is super attentive and the food is DELICIOSO! Food is good to eat but pre cooked pasta should be considered, they are always over cooked.

Overrated island to visit! It took me 1h53 minutes in the line to get into the boat that was going back to Venice! If you are there to buy something, you can find the same glassworks and craftsmanship in Venice! If you are there to get to know the glass craftsmanship better, the workshops with high-end designs don’t offer many visiting options, and the ones that do offer don’t show their high-end production process. Really grateful for this place, we rented 2 maxi lockers. This location is close to train station in Venice. We had 5 carryons and 4 very full back packs and were able to squeeze them in these lockers. Worked perfect for having a place to put your luggage after checking out from our air bnb before our train left. Super convenient that it can connect to your phone for locking and unlocking.

It's probably best to book once you're there as you can measure the size of the storage you need, they have sample ones. I would use again.
