Public beach
Spiaggia La Tartaruga, also known as Turtle Beach, is a secluded spot in Vico Equense that can only be accessed by sea. Whether you choose to paddle in a canoe, swim, or take a sea taxi, the journey is worth it for the pristine Blue Flag waters. While it tends to get crowded in the summer months, visiting during the off-peak season allows for a more untamed experience.
Always a special place, we experienced clean water, enjoyable waves and since the closure of the beach goers shuttle service peace and tranquility.

It is not accessible how Google maps is showing. You can reach only via boar from the port-5 euro. It is nice and the water is clear. Rocky beach

IT’S CLOSED! We tried to go there but there is no way to do it. So don’t waste your time

You can't reach this beach without a car and the road is not safe. Public transport suck. Not suggested.

Magnificent place look like we are on paradise. The water is cleaner than at the other beaches around the port. 8 euro for the sunbeds. Good to prepare with drinks and food but the staff can help to bring things from the central beach bars.

Gelateria Gabriele is a popular spot located in the heart of Vico Equense, on Corso Umberto. It's renowned for its delectable ice cream, desserts, and dairy products. During the summer months, long lines form outside the gelateria due to its popularity, but the service is quick. Visitors rave about their pistachio gelato and Delizia al Limone, praising the rich flavors and delightful textures.
Aaaaaa Gabriele... It's literraly the place i wanted to have in Italie. I recommend this place 💯🔥. Everything is so well done. You Can have a selection of Tasty cheese prepared by Giovanni for only 18€. A mix of completly different taste and a discovery at each pieces. If you like cheese you should try !! Gelato, baba, lemon granita, delicioso al lemone, pasticceria, tiramisu, Ice cream, Panini, cheesecake; it was literraly our favorite place during our trip on the Amalfitaine coast. FAMILY, TASTY, UNIQUE, 3 words to résume Gabriele 🙏🏼🙏🏼❤️ Grazie Mille to all thé team !! Each cake, pasticceria is between 2 and 5€, the cheapest price for 🤌🤌🤌🤌🌟.

This place is unbelievable! Always very busy, and popular with Italians and tourists alike. It's so much more than just Gelato. I watched many Italians order what turned out to be the Lemon delicia, so decided to try it and my word, it didn't disappoint. We all had dessert from here every night, no matter where we'd been prior.
Andrew W — Google review
I wanted to try everything on the menu—it all looked so tempting! In the end, I went for the classic Lemon Delicia, which was simply outstanding 👌💕👌. However, some friends in our group ordered the classic chocolate ice cream and weren’t as impressed.
Dimitra Z — Google review
In September 2024 my husband and I read an article in the New York Magazine by Tamara Shopsin about her trip back to Gabriele’s 14 years after her first visit to see if it was still the best gelato she had ever tasted (it was!). The article became the inspiration for our trip to Rome and Sorrento this October. We made 3 stops at Gabriele’s and it definitely was everything we hoped it would be. It is truly amazing. The yogurt gelato with fresh strawberries and whipped cream was a high point. Every flavor of gelato we tried was also wonderful as was the lemon delight dessert. There’s a full deli as well and we enjoyed the prosciutto and mozzarella rolls for a lunch break in between servings of gelato. Gabriele’s is absolutely 5 stars - not to be missed!
Nance M — Google review
The Deliziosa al limone is something that everyone passing by there should try. We do so every time we are nearby. But it not the only thing. Not many place keep that level of tradition, passion, and quality as they do. I definitely recommend to everyone!!!
Carmine C — Google review
Omg, this place was beyond perfect!!! We ordered gelato and lemon delizia. Both were absolutely delicious. The only thing we’re upset about is not being able to try all the amazing pastries there. They all looked perfect, and I’m sure they tasted just as good!
Səbinə A — Google review
Fantastic desserts and service at cheap prices. The gelato was tasty especially the nut topping which was crispy and sweet ! The lobster tail and lemon pastry was fresh and great quality, takeaway was packaged nicely. Staff were friendly and spoke English.

Really great range of flavours, cakes are also available and there's a little cheese section too if you're that way inclined. A nice place to get a souvenir food gift while you're enjoying a gelato.

Torre del Saracino is a unique dining experience located in a medieval tower with stunning views of the gulf. This restaurant offers creatively presented seafood cuisine, making it a must-visit spot along the Amalfi coast. It is known for its artful dishes and is highly regarded among the fine dining options in Val Equense.
The best culinary experience I have ever had. We did the 6 course tasting with the wine tasting. Start to finish, but I could not have been more impressed.
Brian B — Google review
Wonderful service, crazy view and amazing food. What an expierience and less than 1 hour away from Naples. The amberjack was most certainly one of the best dishes of 2025. Highly recommended!
Omar A — Google review
We have eaten at many amazing restaurants throughout the world and this restaurant was one of best places we have eaten definitely on our two week trip through Italy and Spain (BCN/Ibiza/Forementera) and one of best places we have ever eaten. The entire experience is top notch and extraordinary. As we came off the main road and took many hairpin turns down the winding road heading to our final destination located in Marina di Equa nothing prepared us for what awaited us. We found what looked like a fortified building/tower and as we looked around perplexed trying to see where we could parked a gentle man approached us wearing a Torre del Saracino shirt and obviously was the valet attendant and he came toward us welcomed us and kindly parked our rental car (this is a nice perk). We immediately were warmly greeted as we approached the entrance. We were taken to a beautiful corner table with magnificent views of the water and the from where one could admire Vesuvius and the Bay of Naples. What came next nothing could prepare us. Chef Gennaro Esposito is a master who brilliantly expresses the essence of his native land in every dish. Every dish is creatively presented, every dish is a masterpiece. Service was impeccable with Francesco describing every wine to us in great detail. The staff works as a seamless unit/team and all of the individuals with whom we interacted shined. Our server in particular proved warm and professional (Patricia was pleasant and warm as well). This place is well deserving of all the accolades! Cannot wait to come back to this magnificent restaurant! This was a gastronomic memorable journey! Highly recommend!
Carlos L — Google review
Wonderful setting. The staff are very professional and friendly, without pretentiousness. The food is local, precise, not heavy, and mostly seafood and vegetable-based which is our preference for fine dining. The menu progression over the 8 courses is excellent. The two michelin stars are well deserved.
Alex — Google review
What makes this Michelin restaurant truly special is the personal touch. We had lunch there once and really enjoyed everything, but casually mentioned that we’d love to experience a meal inspired by the Amalfi Coast. The next time we came back, they surprised us with a completely custom menu — not a single dish was from the regular one. Every course was incredibly delicious, and we absolutely loved it! What also makes this place unique is its location — a medieval tower right by the sea, which creates a truly unforgettable experience. At the same time, everything is designed in a modern and tasteful way, striking a perfect balance between history and elegance. A heartfelt thank you to the entire team for the outstanding service and unforgettable atmosphere. Wishing you all the best on your journey toward that third star — you truly deserve it!
Olena L — Google review
An extraordinary experience at La Torre del Saracino. Chef Gennaro Esposito captures the true essence of the Mediterranean in every creation, masterfully balancing tradition and innovation. Our server provided impeccable, warm, and professional service, making every detail of the evening unforgettable. The sommelier, with deep knowledge and evident passion, guided us through pairings that elevated each dish to an even higher level. A culinary journey that fully justifies its two Michelin stars — one of the most memorable dining experiences we’ve had in Itlia
Aleyda P — Google review
Unlike many tasting menus today, Torre del Saracino was a vibrant, new, and exciting experience. The passion and connection to the local land and sea can be experienced from the moment you walk in the door. The service is incredible, as diners experience pre meal bites and cocktails in the historic tower before being led downstairs into the dining room which boasts incredible views of the beach and sea. Not only is this one of the best bites I had in the region but clearly also a great value in comparison to other Michelin starred meals we experienced throughout the country and in general.
Paul D — Google review
I rarely come back to an already visited restaurant, but Torre del Saracino is an exception. The place is amazing, just in front of the sea, with excellent view of Naples. The service is incredibly kind, perfect. The food is super. This time we took 8 plates decided by the chef. They were all delicious, starting with oysters and finishing with lamb, it was an sensiorial experience for taste and eyes. Definetely a place where to come back always with pleasure.

Spiaggia di Positano Marina Grande, also known as Spiaggia Grande, is a popular pebble beach along the Amalfi coast. It's one of the largest beaches in Positano and offers both free and private areas. While it can get crowded, visitors can take a coastal walk to the more intimate Fornillo beach. The beach provides stunning views of the cliffside town and is a must-see when exploring the Amalfi coast.
The views from this public beach overlooking Positano's gorgeous bay is breathtaking and one of the best views in Amalfi Coast. We passed by during noon, and it was too busy. We came back around sunset and was much more quiet, so better to come around this time! It is very touristic of course, but so worth visiting.
Stephen — Google review
We visited in Sept 2022. We didn’t spend a lot of time on the beach, but walked around in passing. There is a ferry station nearby where you can take one to go to Capris or other parts of the coast. The view is definitely great. It does require you to take some steps to get down to the beach. The beach was a bit busy with bars, tourists, and boat tourism. I’m not a big beach person, so I didn’t see the appeal of having a lot of vendors around but other people seem to enjoy it. I highly recommend renting out a small boat and relaxing out in the water because Positano is super crowded.
Charlotte B — Google review
Crazy busy port. Ferries and boat tours loading and offloading passengers. The town starts to swell around 9 and hits its peak mid-day, then the visitors start leaving in the late afternoon, all under controlled chaos. The ferries efficiently back in, load and depart on time. The tour boats have an area for them and they lineup waiting their turn on the water, all the while the sea waves are rolling in. I found this fascinating to watch. When you get on land, there are lots of clothing stores, jewelry, ceramics and various vendors. Oh and don't forget there are food shops and restaurants at your fingertips. Ciao and enjoy Positano!
G W — Google review
Spiaggia di Positano Marina Grande is one of the most iconic and beautiful beaches on the Amalfi Coast. From the moment you arrive, you are greeted by the stunning sight of colorful houses cascading down the hillside, meeting the deep blue of the Mediterranean Sea. The combination of charming architecture, crystal-clear waters, and vibrant atmosphere makes it a truly unique destination. The beach itself is well maintained, with plenty of sunbeds and umbrellas for rent. The water is clean and refreshing, perfect for a swim on a warm day. The view from the shore is just as incredible as the view from above you can watch boats coming and going, and the surrounding cliffs create a picturesque backdrop for your day at the beach. There are numerous restaurants and cafés right along the waterfront, offering delicious Italian cuisine and refreshing drinks. It’s a wonderful place to spend the afternoon, either relaxing under the sun or exploring the little streets nearby. While prices for food, drinks, and sunbeds can be higher compared to other areas, the beauty and charm of Marina Grande make it worth every penny. This beach captures the essence of Positano romantic, vibrant, and unforgettable. I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the Amalfi Coast.
Mohammed A — Google review
Beautiful public beach area with many wonderful beach clubs, restaurants, and shops in the area. Nice place to walk around and also easy access to the ferries to bring you to other parts of the Amalfi Coast!
Brian H — Google review
The views on this beach are absolutely beautiful. I wish I spent more time here. It’s a nice beach to relax with lots of spots to grab a treat or meal around it.
Vanessa B — Google review
*I am not rating the beach but the town itself* Positano is the most overrated, overpriced & overcrowded places i’ve ever visited. You walk on the streets and you ask yourself is this really worth it? To pay over 2000-3000€ for a hotel to be in a town where you have to spend a fortune just to put (average)food in your belly, you walk on the streets and you feel rushed because there are 1200 people behind you and 3100 in front of you, where you see the prices for a pasta and you think if the pasta is actually made of pearls and if the seafood is actually getting selected by you and the waiters are going to the sea and catch it for you, then why a simple magnet cost 5€ and a postcard 4€ when everywhere in the world is 2€ max? And not to mention the prices of €100+ for very simple items in different stores. I can’t understand the reason of Positano being so popular & expensive. Amalfi, Atrani, Maiori, Minori are much much better and although still comparatively expensive much cheaper than Positano. You can go for a one day visit (don’t plan more than 2-3h) but do not plan to stay there unless you just want to throw your money away because you have too much.

Antica Osteria Nonna Rosa is a place where hospitality is at the heart of everything. The atmosphere exudes a sense of family warmth, and the kitchen offers gracefully suggested, refined dishes alongside classic favorites like meat sauce and meatballs with sauce. Visitors have praised the well-balanced dishes, authentic flavors, and high-quality ingredients. The generous portions and friendly service create a familiar and welcoming environment for an exceptional dining experience.
I have never been to a fine dining restaurant and this exceeded my expectations. I am vegan and my husband is not, we were able to order the 6 course tasting menu specially prepared by the chef, I received a 100% vegan menu and my husband got a normal menu with seafood. I felt like the dishes just got better and better each course. I was pleasantly surprised how full I actually was half way through, there was so much food!! It just kept coming!! Service was obviously impeccable. I will say it is a whole experience and you will be there for 2-3 hours or more depending on what you order. Make sure to make a reservation and specify dietary preference and they will be prepared

After watching Chef’s Table on Netflix, we knew we had to visit Antica Osteria Nonna Rosa — and it did not disappoint! We went on a Sunday for the tasting menu lunch and had such a memorable experience. The food was full of flavor, beautifully presented, and there was plenty of it. A perfect blend of tradition and creativity. Highly recommend for a special meal in the Sorrento area! Just take the train. Make reservations!

Came from the US .. was expecting much more .. cold people.. felt I’m eating plastic or rice wraps .flavour of food..dessert smelled like a smell of finished cigarette… yes!! I came to your location.. food taste and smell horrible
Batel A — Google review
We came here having seen the Chef’s Table feature on Netflix. And consequently, we probably had impossible expectations. We ordered the classic tasting menu. Overall - remember we‘re talking premium Michelin star pricing - the experience was somewhat mixed: We had a really creative amuse gueule, which set our expectations quite high. This was followed though by a dish of cheese and then three pasta courses with tomato sauce (varied ingredients and pasta style of course), which were nice but not spectacular. The pairing wines really added to the experience though, so I‘d really recommend that option. Then we had a meatball with mashed potato, and finally a very nice variety of desserts again - I was only missing a dessert wine, which somehow wasn’t part of the wine pairing anymore (but dessert was gone before we realized). We went as a family with two children, so only two of us had the pairing wines, and overall ended up at EUR 660 plus tip. Honestly, given the fact most of the courses were varied pasta with tomato sauce, I felt we probably paid 100 - 150 Euro too much. Apologies if our taste buds couldn’t appreciate the difference, but making pasta at home didn’t feel terribly different from what we had here (good to know though that our pasta skills are apparently quite decent). Again, please remember this review is reflecting the high expectations we had visiting a Michelin Star fine dining experience. Overall, it was a very nice experience - friendly staff and quiet setting (Peppe Guida didn’t make an appearance on that Friday evening).

Lido - Scrajo Mare is a Blue Flag beach known for its cleanliness and beautiful water, though it's on the expensive side. The beach offers three sections, including a protected area where visitors can experience the cool spring waters from the Amalfi coastline. Umbrella and chair rentals are pricey but provide comfort. This top-notch private beach boasts well-protected bays and a unique freshwater stream, making it worth the cost for those seeking an exclusive experience.
One of My Favorite Seaside Escapes near Vico Equense Just at the gateway to the Amalfi Coast, right before entering Vico Equense in the province of Naples, you’ll find several charming seaside resorts — and Scraio Mare is definitely one of my favorites. While the nearby beaches like Bikini and Capo La Gala are more famous, I keep coming back to Scraio for a few very specific reasons. The overall atmosphere is refined and never overcrowded. The number of loungers is limited, which makes the experience feel more relaxed and exclusive. The staff is always kind and professional, and the beach itself — although relatively small and rocky — is pristine and scenic. One of the highlights is the natural layout of the sea: the central area is like a natural swimming pool, enclosed by rocks, while on the sides you can swim into the open sea. What truly sets this place apart, though, is the presence of a cold sulfur spring that flows directly into the sea. This creates a unique hot-and-cold contrast, where icy fresh water meets warm sea currents — something I’ve never experienced elsewhere in the area. Prices are fair for the quality offered. A day with two loungers and an umbrella costs around €60, and parking is €7 extra — but everything is very close and well organized. There are two food options: a more casual bistro and a proper restaurant upstairs. Both serve high-quality dishes with a good selection of wines and prosecco. Some menu items are slightly above average in price, but justified by the setting and quality. I recommend going during the week, as weekends tend to be quite crowded (as is common around the Amalfi Coast). But midweek, it’s peaceful and perfect for a relaxing day by the sea. Scraio has been around forever — my aunts used to come here back in the day, and they’re now in their 80s. It even had its own stop on the old Circumvesuviana railway line. There’s also a beautiful hotel above (though run separately), adding to the historic charm of the place. So if you’re in the area — especially in early summer — treat yourself to a day at Scraio Mare. It’s a slice of local history and a truly unique coastal experience.

Beautiful place but expensive and really smelly ☹️Sunbed costs you 20€ per face, umbrella 10€ and so on. Beer cost ca 4€.

Very nice place, clean and cosy, there is a parking&restorant too....we had one unpleasent moment with a rude female manager, who alaud her self to interfere in personal phone call, asking for silent, even though beach is empty and there is no "no phone " sign .

Paul G — Google review
Nice beach but 40€ for 2 sun beds is over the top! Plus 5€ parking if you want an umbrella that will cost you 10€ more….. However it is clean and you have showers and changing rooms.
Jack J — Google review
Three stars only for the beautiful location, but of course this is only a part of the overall experience. The entrance fee is excessively higher than the average (all inclusive price is around 25€!!!) and the same applies to the restaurant, without any special merits. Staff and property are generally quite rude as well.
Federico M — Google review
The service was horrible. Very small portions. Stratospheric prices. The staff is confused and does not speak any major foreign languages except Italian. For a green salad, it took more than an hour to have it. The excuse: something was lost in translation between the waitress and the kitchen. Besides all, they do not really care about apologizing to customers for their wrongdoing. Too bad!

Spent time in Piano di Sorrento, and ate here … literally every day! It’s that good. Try the mussels marinara. Or the swordfish (described as best ever by my foodie brother in law). Tuna. Caprese salad. Heck, anything. And the staff and owners are just fabulous. Excellent. You should try it. The only thing you risk is the burning need to come back!
David L — Google review
The location is great with a beautiful view of the marina, especially when the sun is setting. We enjoyed our two dinners in the outdoor seating area. Our pizza, gnocchi, and seafood dish were delicious and the service was amazing. We thoroughly enjoyed the lemon sorbet and tiramisu. Tonino’s wine recommendation paired perfectly with our meal. Tonino and Anna are so helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable. We looked forward to our morning coffee (with a smiley face), flaky pastries, and daily chat before we went on with our day. We hope to return to Via Marina di Cassano sometime and will make a point of dropping in and saying hello. We cannot recommend it enough.

The pasta is the best ive ever tried. The owners (the waiters. Ana and toni) are really nice. There is also a really cute dog ( the owners dog) which is really frendly. I really recomend eating here(its also next to a beach)

Our family spent 3 nights in August this hotel as the location suited our plans to visit Capri and Sorrento but within a quiet and idilic surrounding. Once you manage to drive around the winding serpentine roads to get there (but with the most beautiful views of the beach and port) we felt as we were in a truly unique Italian village, not only with friendly neighbours but also authentic and great food. We had dinner every night in the hotel restaurant which is not only convenient due to the location but also very popular with the marina boats, they are very accommodating with timings but worth booking in advance. There is a convenient car park nearby which gets very busy during "beach hours" so early arrival is recommended, probably better to leave the car there and use the elevator to get into town. Overall the views from the hotel, the convenience of the port, the gelato shop nearby and the friendly restaurant and hotel staff made our visit very memorable and well appreciated.

Stay and eat here! The food and accommodation was the best value we have had in our time in Italy. The staff are exceptional, friendly and willing to help with whatever you need. The food was fresh and such good value. We ate here every night during our four night stay and didn’t want to leave. The menu has great variety, everything is fresh and good quality. The accommodation was perfect and the hosts organised tours for us, directions to where we wanted to go and cabs if they were required. They went above and beyond. I cannot say enough good things about this place and we will definitely recommend it to all our friends. We hope to come back in the years to come. Thankyou again!

Absolutely stunning location in a quiet alcove next to Sorrento. The owners of this B&B are so lovely. Perfect location if you want to explore Sorrento without being so packed. You can also take boat tours from the Piano do Sorrento port, directly outside the B&B. Absolutely recommend!

Villa Fondi De Sangro is a grand neoclassical villa perched on a cliff overlooking Naples Bay, offering incredible scenery and photo opportunities. The museum inside showcases historical monuments and items from the area, while the lovely garden features a bar and offers great views of the gulf and Piano di Sorrento marina. Visitors can enjoy beautiful sunset views, well-maintained gardens with shaded areas, and a small cafe.
I recently had the pleasure of staying near Villa Fondi De Sangro and was thoroughly impressed. The villa offered stunning views that were a highlight of my stay. The live music in the evenings created a charming atmosphere, and the friendly staff added to the overall positive experience. The villa's gardens were beautifully maintained, providing a peaceful escape for leisurely walks. The friendly and welcoming atmosphere made it feel like a community, which was a pleasant surprise. If you're looking for a tranquil retreat with beautiful scenery and a welcoming ambiance, Villa Fondi De Sangro is definitely worth considering.

We stayed here for 3 nights and the villa is amazing. Quiet secluded spot and the room was fantastic aswell as the staff. Its a 30min walk into Sorrento or €25 taxi which was the only downfall, but the pool and rooms ease that issue. We also parked within the grounds at €25 a day.

The museum and park of the villa is well worth a visit. A beautiful villa to visit. The grounds are amazing to walk around with plenty of shade from the trees and an amazing view of the bay from the clifftop. There is also an amazing little bar in the grounds that is fantastic to sit and relax in after a noisy hot day in town.

La Terrazza is a terrace bar with stunning sunset views, offering memorable cocktails and occasional live performances. While the food and drinks are pricier compared to other places in Sant Agnello, the breathtaking view of the Sorrento coastline and Mount Vesuvius makes it worth it. Some visitors found the food to be average, but others raved about dishes like seafood linguine and Sorrentina style cod.
The food was delicious, and the view was priceless. We came here for breakfast at around 10AM, and it was not crowded. Waitress was friendly and attentive. We will probably be coming here for breakfast during our week stay. We will try them for dinner tonight and post that then.

This is in a fabulous location on a protruding clifftop looking alo g the coast towards Sorrento. You don't need to go to the restaurant to use the viewing platform, but if you do fancy a drink or whatever, these are top Amalfi coast prices. Worth it for the views across the bay anyway, and amazingly from Sorrento and San Angel, nowhere near a polluted road blocked with traffic.

Marina di Vico - Le Postali is a picturesque coastal area with two marinas, offering clean teal-colored waters and sandy beaches sheltered by the Amalfi cliffs. The beach provides all necessary facilities and is easily accessible from the city center. Visitors can rent lounge chairs for a full day of relaxation or enjoy the small free beach area. There are also bars and restaurants available at reasonable prices.
A pleasant surprise for our family as we were looking for a more low key beach in Sorrento, but the beach there was just too small. A local mentioned this beach in Vico Equense and it fit the bill. We enjoyed an afternoon on our way back from Pompeii via the Circumvesuviana, stopping at the Vico Equense stop. It was about a 15 minute trek from the train station to the beach. Totally worked out, as we were able to enjoy the water after walking around Pompeii.
Alex A — Google review
There are NO public beaches here. There is a boat taxi to go to the nearby Turtle Beach, which is public and has sand, but one has to pay the boat to get there. On top of that, the path through Via Castelo is closed, so it is not possible to make a round hike and one has to walk down and up through the same road.
B D — Google review
« Free » beach is 20m long and filthy…the beach is littered with glass and cigarettes and rubbish. The water looks and feels disgusting. The Italians should be ashamed of their beaches for all their recycling rules, seems no beach is ever cleaned. I accept that tourists leaving rubbish are part of the problem but seriously with the privatization of beaches why is there no clean up. Disgusting… Amalfi cost is far from any dream
Rebecca C — Google review
Charming little beach with crystal-clear water and stunning views of the cliffs. The atmosphere is relaxed and authentic, more local than touristy. Facilities are simple but well-kept, and the nearby bars and restaurants make it easy to enjoy a full day here. A lovely spot to swim, sunbathe, and take in the beauty of Vico Equense. The public beach is verry smal and dirty.

Clean public beach and nice lidos. You can but food, drink and snacks even though you are not staying in a lido. It's packed after 2pm, but you always find a little spot if you're a small group of people. The water is amazing. One of the best beaches in Peninsula Sorrentina, in my opinion. You can get there on foot from Vico and Seiano.

This beach bodes clean, warm teal-coloured water and khaki shorelines that are sheltered by the Amalfie cliffs - it's a pristine paradise to soak up the sun and enjoy the spectacular environment. Hire a lounge-chair for €5 or there is a small free beach beside the paid area, but it's worth the rental as you get it all day. There's a bar and a small restaurant with the basics for a reasonable price. Not too busy - family friendly and relaxing enough for the adult crowd.

La Marinella is a popular choice among locals and tourists in Sorrento, offering an upscale beach club experience reminiscent of those in Capri or Positano. The highlight of the establishment is its renowned restaurant, which serves delectable seafood dishes for lunch and dinner. While the prices may be on the higher side, patrons are treated to a culinary delight featuring succulent scallops, tender octopus, and flavorful monkfish. The attentive and amiable service adds to the overall dining experience.
Simply wonderful. We were turned away from Coku hoping for a birthday meal for my wife (hadn't realised needed to book) and instead walked down the steps/tunnel to La Marinella and were one of just 5 tables served for the evening with delicious seafood, beautifully presented, tasty menu 'amuse-bouche' between courses, and with delightful service. It was going to storm and the owner didn’t want to let us in at first because of safety concerns but the very nice lady (maybe manager) let us in anyway. We were sat upstairs at a very nice big table and had a nice view at the thunder storm. The side was closed after a while since it became very windy and opened again after the storm passed. The waiters greeted us very nicely and we were offered a welcome drink! They were so nice and made us feel like royals, you weren’t even allowed to pour your own drink which I thought was very fancy. The bathroom was also very fancy. The prices were really really good for the service and location. The waiters explained every food detail and we also got appetizers and dessert! on the house (see the pictures). The cocktails were incredible and I really liked the small details on the table. The food & dessert was also really good and we were both very satisfied. But because the storm hadn’t completely stopped we decided to take another drink and cheese mix. The cheeses were also very nicely plated but unfortunately our phones died so we don’t have any pictures, but they gave us both the chance to charge them! They were so polite and let us have the chance to ask questions without forcing us to take anything or choose anything. Really a 10/10 experience. We didn’t have to spend much but we wanted to! I think it was the best experience and customer service we have ever had! Thank you :)

La Marinella is a culinary haven that indulges seafood enthusiasts with its exquisite offerings. Though slightly on the pricey side, the experience is undeniably worth every penny. The menu features an array of treasures from the sea, including succulent scallops, tender octopus, and delectable monkfish. The scallops, perfectly seared to golden perfection, melted in my mouth with a delicate sweetness. The octopus, expertly prepared, boasted a delightful tenderness and a hint of smoky flavour. As for the monkfish, its firm and meaty texture, complemented by a harmonious blend of herbs and spices, left me craving for more. La Marinella's commitment to quality is evident in every bite. Each dish is a testament to the chef's skill and passion for seafood. Though it may be a splurge, the experience of savouring these exceptional flavours is truly a treat for the senses. If you're willing to indulge in a seafood extravaganza and don't mind paying a bit extra, La Marinella is a treasure trove waiting to be explored. Immerse yourself in the culinary delights of the sea, and let your taste buds revel in the exquisite flavours that this remarkable restaurant has to offer.

Fornillo Beach is a serene and secluded spot near the port of Positano, offering stunning views and clear waters. Accessible by sea shuttle or a picturesque pathway, it features a bathhouse with lounge chairs, a baroque terrace, and classic Positano-style interiors. The beach is known for its authentic atmosphere and crystal-clear waters, with the 16th-century watchtower 'Torre Fornillo' and the Li Galli archipelago visible from the shore.
So much better than the Arienzo tourist trap beach club! Here you will find locals and beautiful beach, public beach and also beach clubs that are half the price but still amazing vibes!!! Our favorite beach day was here. With a beautiful walk to the Beach from the town, worth it and not Too Long at all

Nice free beach with enough space for everyone. There is also Lido where sunbeds and umbrellas can be rented but prices are very high. Also bars at the beach are super expensive - pizza Margarita 18euros.
M — Google review
Even though it is quite expensive to get a chair inside one of the clubs that have control of most of the beach, it makes sense why they charge. It has a lot of pebbles, and it is a nice service overall. The beach is fantastic and so gorgeous! The colors, the views, the temperature (a bit cold but very welcome in this heat) the black sand, and the fact that it is not as busy as the main Positano beach makes it an unique spot. Bear in mind, the prices in this brach from the beach clubs are for the well-off or rich tourists. I came prepared so it would not take me by surprise (35 euro per person), but, I promise, it is worth it.
Miguel R — Google review
A secluded beach away from the hustle and bustle of Positano but only 10mins or so walk away. Worth the visit as there is a public beach area and beach club option too. The water is lovely and has a designated swimming area. It is not as busy as the main beach in Positano so feels a bit more special. The views on the short walk are incredible too.

The hotel offers various room and suite categories as well as spacious apartments. The decor is minimal yet beautiful, featuring brightly colored floor tiles and lampshades.
Lovely hotel in the marina. We came to sorrento by ferry and had 2 boat excursions so we always needed to be in the area. Hotel staff is OUTSTANDING!!!!! the hotel was clean and had a nice vibe overall. Loved that it was outside of the crazy busy Sorrento streets. The walk up wasn't bad and there is also an elevator that you can take. Definitely happy we stayed here. AC worked great. Everything was within walking distance and the view was nice. They have a beautiful breakfast and a stunning rooftop bar with phenomenal drinks 🍸 Would 100000% stay here again.

Stunning Views and the Perfect Launchpad for Amalfi Adventures This year, we wanted to stay right in Sorrento—a lively town with easy ferry access to Amalfi, Positano, Capri, and Naples. Marina Piccola 73 checked all our boxes, especially our #1 priority: a sea view at an affordable price. The hotel sits right on the marina, so if you’re heading up into Sorrento town (which sits on the plateau above), be prepared for either a 10-minute walk to the elevator or a climb up about 200 feet of stairs. Due to availability, we had the unique opportunity to experience three different rooms during our stay, and honestly, it turned out to be a fun way to compare the views and vibes of each! Superior Room with Balcony This was our first room—a balcony facing the marina, perfect for people-watching as ferries come and go. The bay and Mount Vesuvius views from here were unbeatable. Superior Room The second room had large windows instead of a balcony, still offering great sea views. Although slightly blocked by the balcony of the first room, it was still an excellent value. The Suite This was hands down the best room in the house—featuring a large terrace with a couch and table, perfect for relaxing with a book and a glass of wine against the backdrop of the bay and Mount Vesuvius. The suite also had a huge bathroom and felt the most spacious overall. Unfortunately, this was our final night, and we had an early flight, so we didn’t get to fully enjoy it as much as we would’ve liked. The breakfast here was delicious—offering both sweet and savory options, fresh coffee, and juice each morning. If we return to Sorrento (and we hope to!), we’d happily stay at Marina Piccola 73 again.

We had the absolute BEST time at this hotel, and recommend it to everyone!! Every person working here really cares about the place and their craft, including the hosts, breakfast chef, and the bartender. Amazing location right next to a little beach with easy walking into the city and a beautiful terrace overlooking the port. Even had a hotel cat and dog! One of our favourite hotels we’ve ever stayed in
Alexus R — Google review
Had a wonderful stay here back in 2023! The staff were wonderful and so friendly. We even got given the room in the tower which was so cool. We could even see Mount Vesuvius from our room. Also a short walk away to the ferry to get back to Naples. The breakfast spread was great too! Would definitely recommend!!

We loved our stay in the apartment at Marina Piccola 73. Large, comfortable space with air conditioning, a kitchen and washing machine. The location is very convenient to use the ferries if you are traveling around the coast. We utilized the elevator as well as the bus that will take you to the city center. We loved the rooftop bar with gorgeous views of the marina and super friendly bartender. I would absolutely stay here again if visiting Sorrento. I’m not sure how we lucked out that it was available. There is a coffee shop immediately downstairs for a quick coffee before you head out for the day. Also a pizza place that is recommended by the hosts ( we did not eat there ). It was our best accommodation while visiting Italy.

What a perfect stay. Wonderful hotel in Marina Piccola, away from the port crowds but within walking distance to all of the action. We stayed for 7 days in early September and were so comfortable and relaxed. The rooms are beautiful and very clean (as well as having a great AC unit, iron, hair dryer, safe, mini-bar and mini-fridge). The room had a balcony overlooking the water where we could watch the boats and port activity, as well as see the fireworks, enjoy the amazing view of Mount Vesuvius and hear the waves at night. The hotel staff are INCREDIBLE - the owners Roberta and Alice were so kind, helpful and responsive, as well as Mariarita. They arranged our transfer from Rome to Sorrento which was such a huge help, as well as making dinner reservations for us which was much appreciated. There is an amazing terrace overlooking the water where we had breakfast made by the amazing and talented Donatella, as well as delicious drinks in the evening made by Vincenzo who was also so kind and gracious. Absolutely loved it and would stay here next time without question. 5+++ stars.

Arienzo Beach, also known as the 300 Steps Beach, is a picturesque and secluded spot in Positano. Accessible by a long staircase or a sea shuttle from the pier of Positano, this beach offers swimming, boat rentals, and chair rentals. As visitors descend to the shore, they can admire luxurious villas along the way. The beach faces southwest, allowing for extended sun exposure compared to other beaches in Positano.
Great place, clean, good staff, good music, good food, good furniture. Price is on the very high side (you’ll pay 10 euro for your beer, but hey, you’re exclusive!). Also, you’ll be in a VIP-ish lounge in Positano before taking the boat. Overall very good experience.

My wife and I had a blast at Arienzo Beach Club. The service was top notch. The food was delicious and the drinks hit the spot. I recommend the lobster roll and sea bass filet for the main dishes. For drinks, we had the rosé and the limoncello spritz. Definitely recommend the spritz, it's very refreshing. Come early and book the "Perfect Beach Day" pass which comes with a bottle and seat at the beach and lunch.

We dreamt of going to the Arienzo beach club. But unfortunately, we couldn’t find booking so we tried to check if they accept walk-in and they didn’t. We were able to enjoy ourselves in the public beach right next to the club but without the fancy facilities. We had the experience of walking the 250 steps down to the beach 🏖️ sunbathed, and swam in the clear cold water with a breathtaking view.

It is a lot of stairs to walk down to get to the Rocky black sand beach. It was cool to experience and saw a beautiful tree on the walk back up the 276 to get off the beach. The water was cool bc by the time we got there the sun was setting. There is an elevator but idk if it privately owned or what. You have to walk through like a sewer or something to get to the beach. Not gross or dirty or anything just different.

Didn't mind the hike down- great views and a great workout. An option is to find the shuttle here for 5€ per person. Chairs/umbrellas too expensive 25€ per set - but once down you are trapped unless you want to lay on the rocks ( ouch). Uncomfortable to walk to the water- wear your shoes. Overall interesting beach but won't return.

We found this gem whilst holidaying in Vico Equense last week - it was fantastic! The views, food, staff and atmosphere were unforgettable - we will definitely visit again next year! The sunset was stunning too, so all in all a perfect experience!

A very kind and relaxed service with decent drinks and food options. I wish toilets were cleaned a bit better and changing rooms didn't act as storage facilities, but otherwise they guys are doing a great job. Very reasonable prices as well! I'd be back in a minute!

The staff at Lido Chicchi Beach is polite and consistently attentive to their customers. On August 15th, they enhanced the afternoon with a touch of music. The beach itself is magnificent, boasting crystal-clear waters and always being kept clean. I highly recommend visiting this beach if you are in the area.
Great alternative for super crowded Sorrento beaches. Clean sand and clear water. €12 for a sun bed and €6 for an umbrella. €7 for Aperol Spritz in a local beach bar. Clean toilets and shower for €0.5.

Beautiful beach with clear water and a relaxed vibe. Sunbeds and umbrellas are well organized, and the bar offers good drinks and snacks. The staff are friendly and helpful, making it a great spot to spend the day by the sea. There are a lot of stones as you enter the water making it difficult to advance.
Andrei B — Google review
We wanted a day to enjoy on the beach in our area. We looked around on maps and found this place. It is way down what appears to be a service street. We felt like we were going to far and in an area we weren’t supposed to be then around a small curve and past the trash cans and there it is. The beach was crowded. They said sun beds are €10 each and an umbrella was €5 so total was €25 for the two of us. We picked a couple open chairs in front. We were there 5 minutes and a couple moms showed up with their 4 kids and had them put their chairs right in front of us. The beach itself and this beach club area just felt dirty. They were washing off some of the chairs when we arrived. The beach area just had debris on the rocky beach and area with the chairs. It would feel nicer if they just raked up the area. We sat there in the sun for about 30 minutes then decided to walk down the street to book a semi private boat tour to Capri the next day. On the way there we heard nice relaxing music on the other side of an 8’ high fence. We found an opening in the fence that led to a restaurant so we peeked in and saw sun beds. We asked and they said they rent them for €20 each and the umbrella was included. Total €40 for the two of us. We then booked our boat ride for the next day. Went back to our area gathered our things and left this dirty crowded area to go to a clean relaxing beach. So we spend the €25 here for 30 minutes and felt it was worth it to spend another €40 to enjoy a more relaxed area. This area was was less expensive and felt like it was mostly locals and only a few travelers like ourselves. So locals will probably go with the less expensive location because they go more often but we just wanted something nicer, cleaner and more relaxing. They did offer food and drink at this location but we were not there long enough to enjoy.
David M — Google review
Clean beach, it’s visibly taken care of, friendly people, food is good compared to a small beach bistro, nice view. 4 stars only, because it’s kind of expensive (30 Euros for 2 beds and an umbrella), and the beach itself is small and a bit packed.

(Translated by Google) The beach is fairly small. The platform area is much nicer than the crowded beach, and there's very little space between umbrellas. Hot showers only cost €0.50, and there's no hand shower for a quick rinse. There's a reasonably well-stocked restaurant, which makes excellent coffee; a bit more organization at the cash register would be enough. The sea is beautiful. Sunbeds for non-residents cost €12, umbrellas €6. We paid €8 for parking for about six hours, using a private parking lot a little earlier. Overall, I recommend it and plan to return, but only in September. The beach is so beautiful! I can only recommend! The water is amazing, and the beach is clean and comfortable to chill. Disclaimer: Google Maps is not being honest here. The way down/up was not 9 minutes, more like 30. (It is worth it tho!) Also: if you plan to come by bus/public transport, you will need to tell the bus driver that you want to stop at the location. Other wise he will take you to Positano and you will be stuck in the city at 40 Degrees. No problem, cause a nice couple took us by there car back to the entry point to the hiking trail next to the highway, so all worked out in the end! Beautiful Beach! Also nice hike!
Charlotte B — Google review
This beach is a hidden gem. The best way to get there is by scooter, as you can easily park it on the side of the road. Getting there by car can be tricky and may cause complications. Keep in mind — reaching the beach requires a bit of physical effort. There's a short hike downhill, and you’ll need to climb over some rocks, so being in decent shape is definitely a plus. Also, be aware that there are two beach spots to choose from: one through the fisherman’s booth, and another one located to the left. Both beaches are absolutely beautiful and well worth the visit.
JurkaDS — Google review
Excellent secluded beach with black rocks. You can find shade under some natural caves. It can get wavy. The path down or up can be tiring under the heat, but it’s a ~10 min or less if you’re in shape. The entrance is not signaled but you can see a fence and the stairs right next to it from the road.
Ignacio M — Google review
This seems like a local wild beach , I went alone around 5 pm and was empty. It was a spontaneous decision but was the best thing I did in the amalfi coast , you have bus to go there, but you need to do a little hike and go down some rocks to finally get there. If you are a sedentary person it might be a little hard but in general it’s manageable. Worth it!
Mafalda S — Google review
This beach is absolutley breathtaking! It is not for everybody because you need to decent down a very narrow path down the cliff and after you pass the fishermans house on the first bay you need to climb big rocks. BUT I have also seen a lot of elderly people do it, so it is very possible! The black pebble beach gets very very hot, in the summer it was impossible to walk on them bare foot so I would recommend bringing sturdy flipflops. It was worth every drop of sweat to get there, truley amazing beach with an immaculate 180 degrees view of cliff mountain and sea. NOTE: no parking nearby so you have to find a empty spot on the side of the road, there are a few little bays that are big enough for one car each.
Xander B — Google review
The beach itself us quite nice. The other with cats and house not so much. There are small stones which allows to see a bit closer water. Not so much snorkeling rather poor experience. Very difficult for parking a car aside the road, better for a motorcycle. But if you are lucky you can make it. Last part of the path is just a rock to climb via a rope. Motor boats disturb the beauty of a hidden place
Eva J — Google review
One of the best beach, I’ve ever been in Italy. Can only recommend this relaxing and spectacular beach. Not crowded, no trash, only You and the Mediterrean Sea! Slight disadvantage, that there is No parking place for the car by the entrance on the road, plus you have to literall climb down and up to experience this Secret Place! :-) totally worth it!!!

(Translated by Google) Unpretentious but essential. Small space for sunbeds with access to the sea from the rocks with a ladder. Then there is also the little beach corner but there are large stones. Average prices. Bar and restaurant corner. The staff is not exactly prepared for slightly more demanding customers. Catering service both on the sunbeds and on the terrace with table service. However, in the kitchen there is a chef who prepares good dishes. The caponata with raw fish is excellent. The fried mixed fish and vegetables was tasty. They also served a good wine. There is the possibility of taking even just a glass of wine. The fruit salads are excellent and varied... at the end of the bath you can use the showers. There are also bathrooms... I went back several times and had a great time. In the evening the view changes, you can dine on the terrace with an excellent menu . The sea is clean... I recommend it (Original) Senza pretese ma essenziale. (Translated by Google) I booked this restaurant for dinner because I had seen some nice photos and I was influenced by the location, but it would have been better to also check the quality of the food. Unfortunately the dishes are not of high quality, my pasta was almost raw (not al dente) and they were two fish first courses but the flavor of the fish was not really noticeable. I'm sorry but they still have a lot to improve. Plus the prices are high. I don't recommend it.

(Translated by Google) The "Isola verde" Lido is suitable for adult customers, as the beach is almost non-existent. Most loungers are located on slightly raised walkways. You can rent both sunbeds (at a cost of 3 euros for residents and 7 for non-residents) as well as deckchairs and umbrellas. The bar is well stocked and has affordable prices. The cuisine of the kiosk is good with excellent seafood dishes that can also be enjoyed while sitting at one of the tables. Even in the evening during the weekend it is possible to dine at the Lido. The water is almost always fresh and clean thanks to the springs on the shore. Unfortunately on Saturdays and Sundays and in the month of August it is very crowded and it is not possible to reserve sunbeds you have to leave a name and wait. I therefore recommend going early in the morning, the car park is nearby and is that of the Le Axidie tourist complex, it costs 5 for non-residents' cars and 3 for locals, for scooters the rate is 2 euros.
