Beach
Kendalls Beach is a sandy cove known for fishing and surfing, with seasonal lifeguards and nearby picnic tables. It's located near Surf Beach and offers a holiday park with cabins, caravan, and camping sites. The beach provides a protected area from the wind and features public toilets at the amenities block in the middle of the cabins. It's not heavily frequented by mainstream tourists to Kiama, making it a hidden gem along the coast walk.
One of the best beach spots, calm quite and has everything. Even a play area on the side for kids.
Ayesha U — Google review
Just another beautiful beach location in an awesome area. Dog friendly and also a fantastic playground for the kids to enjoy with carparking close to the beach.
Inna C — Google review
Beautiful beach, no dogs allowed
Remmi — Google review
Possibly one of my favourite beaches in Australia. Great for walking, beautiful, and decent swimming.
Addie M — Google review
Awesome beach!! We really loved it!! The waves are really nice and very fun. There's tonnes of big waves where everyone was body surfing. The water is nice and warm too once you get in. We spent like 2 hours just having fun here. It was absolutely amazing.
A.J. M — Google review
Beautiful spot. Nice break for kids, plenty of clean white sand and beautiful view back to Kiama lighthouse. Cabins right on the beach look amazing and there's a little playground just off the sand
Stuart J — Google review
A real gem. Not for the mainstream tourist to Kiama. Waves can get gnarly and rough. Public toilets in the holiday park are good. Sand is good. Grass area is good. Small playground. Get fish and chips from up on the main road and enjoy them here. Also go for a walk around the heads on the right foot a good explore
Myles L — Google review
Protected pocket where you can hide from the wind. Public Toilets at the amenities block in the middle of the cabins. Nearest takeaway walk up the winding path at the north end (not the huge stairs) and walk up Chapman St turn left then right after 2 houses thru a driveway to the shops. Great stop along the coast walk and perfect in the morning. Patrolled in summer.

Little Blowhole, located in Tingira Crescent, is a smaller blowhole compared to the main one in Kiama. It may not be as centrally located or as large, but it offers consistent and impressive water spouts, especially when the wind and tide come from the northeast. The area is home to some of the South Coast's best beach breaks and surf talent, making it a must-visit for surfing enthusiasts.
It’s little, and it blows. Lives up to its name in every way. Nature’s cheeky party trick, one moment you’re admiring the view, the next you’re wearing a light mist facial, free of charge. Smaller than its famous big brother, but far more entertaining if you enjoy surprise spritzes and the occasional squeal from unsuspecting tourists. Highly recommended.
Suzie M — Google review
Amazing experience - got wonderful pictures- but the most beautiful ones are not on the phone but etched in our memories. Such beauty in nature and just listening to the waves hitting the shore put you into a tranquil place.
Shane S — Google review
Beautiful FREE place to visit just outside of Kiama about 10 minutes drive south of the Big Blowhole (which only blows under certain conditions) - the Little Blowhole is always blowing, the height varies on the size of the wave approaching. Platform viewing area or walk down right near the waters edge. Always blowing no matter what the weather - well worth the look. Off-road car parking lot.
Lisa ( — Google review
Though it's small. But it has beaitiful coasr line view and a walking trail from Kiama blow hole, a good 3.7kms walk distance to boost your health while visiting both. And small blow hole has better chance of see it in action. Highly recommended to visit it while visiting Kiama blow hole.
W Y — Google review
Amazing natural phenomenon that will give you a thrill when a nice set of waves hit. We went to both the the large and small blow hole and the small still gives a punch in smaller conditions where as the large blow hole requires larger eaves to get going
Christian B — Google review
No tickets needed to visit this place and no card payments required. Beautiful location and easy to get to. The area also has a big blow hole and can be a good walk for those that like a hike.
Aaron W — Google review
Great place to see the wonders of nature at play. After a visit to the Kiama blowhole you really must see the little blowhole working its heart out for you, just a few km down the road (2 points to the south) it performs better and higher than the main blow hole.
Dodgie B — Google review
Little Blowhole in Kiama was a fascinating spot to visit! Unlike the more famous Kiama Blowhole, this one was smaller but just as impressive, with strong bursts of water shooting up through the rocks. The best part was how active it was—since it works best with certain wind conditions, it was constantly spraying water while I was there. The surrounding coastal views were stunning, making it a great place to relax and enjoy nature. If you’re in Kiama, this hidden gem is definitely worth a stop!

Beach
Nature & Parks
Bombo Beach is a serene and stunning coastal spot located near Bombo Quarry and the Boneyard at Bombo Headland. It offers a quieter alternative to Kiama's main beach, boasting beautiful views of the Kiama city and its lighthouse. The beach features larger waves, making it ideal for surfers, although there is also a freshwater inlet with a shallow pool suitable for families. Visitors can enjoy ample parking, public toilets, and the opportunity to witness breathtaking sunsets.
Bombo Beach is without a doubt one of the most stunning beaches in Kiama—rugged, expansive, and incredibly scenic. It’s also a fantastic spot for experienced surfers, with consistent waves and plenty of space to catch a break without the crowds. However, it's important to note that this beach is not patrolled (unless it’s summer) and the presence of strong rips makes it unsuitable for inexperienced swimmers. If you’re not a confident swimmer, it’s best to enjoy the beauty of Bombo from the shore. That said, it’s the perfect place for a walk, surf, picnic or simply to soak up the raw coastal beauty that makes this part of the South Coast so special.
Kathe K — Google review
Beautiful beach, but many people so it's a little more secluded , it is clean with amenities in the carpark

Stunning beach overlooking the Kiama city. You can see the lighthouse in the distance, especially pretty when it's darker and all the lights come on. The place is beautiful in the sunset time. Good amount of parking, public toilets and the waves look pretty good. Great place for families.
Nace Y — Google review
Bombo Beach is a stunning stretch of coastline located just north of Kiama on the South Coast of New South Wales. Known for its raw, untamed beauty, this beach offers golden sands, powerful surf, and dramatic rock formations that make it a standout destination for nature lovers and photographers alike. The beach is popular among experienced surfers due to its consistent waves and exposed conditions. The surf can be intense, so it’s best suited for confident swimmers and surfers, especially outside of patrolled hours. During the summer months, lifeguards are usually present, offering a safe swimming area for visitors. What sets Bombo Beach apart is its striking volcanic rock formations at the southern end. These ancient basalt columns create a surreal, almost otherworldly landscape—perfect for exploring or capturing on camera during sunrise or sunset. Bombo is also pet-friendly, with a designated off-leash area making it ideal for dog owners. Public amenities including toilets, showers, and parking are available, adding to the beach’s convenience. With its combination of wild scenery, surf culture, and natural charm, Bombo Beach is a must-visit for those seeking a unique coastal experience. Whether you’re there to surf, explore, or simply relax, Bombo offers something memorable for everyone.

Visitors can enjoy stunning views of the coastline and capture memorable moments with their GoPro cameras. Clean and quiet beach with great views. Water is clear and there’s plenty of little crabs and other sea life in the rocky area on the far side. Lifeguards keep a watchful eye on beach goers too.
SARGES’ F — Google review
Beautiful and clean beach. A good place to spend time with family. The pictures are taken using a drone just after sunrise where you can see the rays hitting the water in the background. Recommend place to visit as the photos don’t do justice to its beauty.
Arslan — Google review
Beautiful beach protected by headlands on either side. The caravan park sits mostly up the hill so isn't too intrusive. The coastal walk stops here so it's lovely to get to.

Sajeel H — Google review
Anywhere in Kiama is beautiful. Easts Beach is a small, beautiful, moderately busy beach. The surf is generally the calmest of Kiama's beaches, making it a great family beach - safe for small kids. No dogs. Parking is difficult, unless you want to pay to park in the caravan park that envelopes the beach. The caravan park has a kiosk.

Cathedral
Geologic Formations
Cathedral Rocks in Kiama is a must-see attraction featuring dramatic basalt rock formations shaped by the waves. These vertical columns, remnants of lava flow eroded by the sea, create a unique and breathtaking sight. Visitors can explore the area by car or on foot along a boardwalk, with the option to walk around the base of the rocks at low tide. The spot also offers great opportunities for photography and drone shots, especially during sunrise and sunset.
This place is so beautiful. Sort of hard to describe. Hopefully the photos will do it justice. Park at the street .. walk about 50 metres down hill over a rock trail till you hit a series of small beaches in between towering cathedral rocks. Absolutely got smashed by the waves.
David — Google review
Great place for sunrise landscape photography. Watch out for the tides before you visit. Parking and amenities available nearby. It has a partial dog friendly area as well.
ChenniChetty N — Google review
Lovely spot to visit on the south coast of NSW. Wish we could’ve stayed a little longer but we’ll definitely return so we can capture the way the light hits the wonderful towering rock formations. Such a tranquil unspoilt spot and we even spotted kangaroo foot prints along the beach.
Isabel S — Google review
If you're a photographer like me, you've got to time this right. You need light, so go in summer, and low tide to get access. My guess is very late in the afternoon. Unfortunately, I was there in winter and low tide would've be at sunset. It's not sign posted but you will see it. Not for people with mobility issues. I returned at the end of February. Got the timing right, low tide around 4-5pm in summer and this time access was easy somewhere around Bombo Beach. Update photos posted.
Joe J — Google review
What an amazing place! Definitely head here at low tide, and enjoy a swim! We saw so many baby box fish! This view is one of a kind and felt really special. Really friendly locals too. We could have spent hours here! Don't miss it!
Frances J — Google review
It was a great spot with interesting rock formations like a cathedral. It also has great rock pools with strong waves washing in. There is also a nearby cave which can have a great unique view towards the Cathedral Rock but you need to check the tides for getting in and getting out. It is such a memorial experience to walk to this spot and do some photography for such stunning scenery. It is around 15 mins walking from the car park to the foreshore toward the spot.
Khanh T — Google review
Beautiful but not easy to Acces at the main site.
A T — Google review
Absolutely beautiful spot to see some very unique rock formations. You'll see a wonderful combination of spire-like rock towers (from lava and from an old quarry) and lively water pools. I highly recommend taking walks around this area or just going to watch the waves crash into the coast!

Seven Mile Beach is a 7.8-mile stretch offering various activities such as swimming, surfing, picnics, and hikes at a nearby national park. The beach boasts ample space with gentle waves, making it ideal for families and water sports enthusiasts. Visitors can enjoy playing cricket or badminton on the expansive grassy areas near the parking lot. While caution is advised due to strong waves, the flat and hard-packed sand provides an excellent surface for sports.
Beautiful beach in the Werri Beach area and Gerringong area. Family friendly, surf, swim , picnic , sunbath , dog walk , fish and then go have a feed at one of the local eateries.
David — Google review
this beach is amazing for catching fish. It offers many variety's of fish and is amazing to take your family to. It is a very enjoyable area for friends and family to hang out and have fun.
Master C — Google review
We camped there during Easter, and the weather was beautiful — it was only 23 degrees, but still warm enough for a swim or some water play. The water was calm, and there were lots of fish, enough to keep the kids entertained for half the day.
Steven Y — Google review
Seven Mile Beach is my favorite beach in NSW. It has its own unique charm. No people, peace and quiet, it's clean. In the peace and quiet you can read a book, admire the area that brings you closer to nature. Here I find my inner peace and harmony. the beach has no rock pool or lifeguards so you have to be very careful. The advantage is that the water is shallow for a long time.
Marta J — Google review
An enjoyable bicyle ride from Emery Reserve, over the road bridge, north along the firmer beach sand then back over to the headland. After a look for whales, we returned to the beach and rode several kilometres south and then back to Emery Reserve.
Oberonian — Google review
Have some playing kits with you to enjoy more with family, went there with cricket and badminton kits, can't play in beach sand but lots of green grass space available near parking, good hang out place for mind refreshment, but windy weather but that's fine as long as it's a bit hot weather,
ZIGRAL — Google review
The Best learn to surf beach on the coast. Very protected from the North East winds & the swell wraps in making it more gentle than most beaches. The river entrance & kiddies corner tucked in the corner of 7 mile beach are great swimming spots for kids.

Such a cool little beach to visit! Feels very secluded for a nice swim, but a bit of a steep walk down for anyone elderly / injured. There was a storm rolling in the day I visited, but only added to the atmosphere!

If you don't mind the abundance of algae, you will find this spot to be an extremely a charming, secluded and picturesque place. There is just enough shade to escape the strongest sun, and the cove-like structure of the rocks keeps the majority of the waves away, making it a perfect place for swimming.

With its impressive surf breaks at the northern end, it’s a haven for surfers looking to catch some waves while enjoying breathtaking views of the surrounding headlands.
Nice clean beach with a surf lifesaving operation. A play park for the kids. A short walk to the shops if you want take away or an ice-cream. Also has an area you can take your dog's. Best of all it is an easy walk to Cathedral rock.
Lance G — Google review
While I enjoy visiting the beach, I've noticed it could use some attention in terms of cleanliness, particularly due to an abundance of wood spikes that require careful navigation while walking. Perhaps it's quieter on weekdays due to people being at work, but it does offer a serene atmosphere. The high waves make it ideal for surfing enthusiasts, which is a plus. I appreciate that they've designated separate areas for dog walking, ensuring a pleasant experience for all visitors.

Bombo Headland Geological Site, located just north of Kiama, is a renowned geological marvel with distinctive basalt walls and columns that create a moonscape-like appearance. Once a quarry site for blue metal in the late 19th century, the area now showcases captivating rock formations shaped by centuries of erosion. Accessible via a short bush track from Cliff Drive, the site offers stunning views and opportunities to observe wildlife along the way.
This place is absolutely incredible. The rock formations are some of the coolest I’ve ever seen. If you enjoy photography , you’ll be in heaven. Toilets , picnic tables in the carpark area, walking path to follow around the headland. I would recommend going on a cooler day as it is quite open with no shade , but totally worth it. Also dog friendly.
Jeanie — Google review
Bombo Headland is a breathtaking coastal location near Kiama, known for its dramatic basalt rock formations and rich geological history. The unique landscape, shaped by ancient volcanic activity and past quarrying, resembles something from another planet. It’s a popular spot for photographers, especially during sunrise and sunset, when the light enhances the surreal beauty of the rock columns and crashing waves. Easily accessible with nearby parking, it’s a great place for a short walk, sightseeing, or simply soaking in the power of nature. A must-visit on the NSW South Coast!
T J — Google review
It was one of the more unusual beaches we went to. The rock formations were very unique. And there were rock pools behind the rock formations, because when the waves crashed against the rocks, the splashes from the water created big rock pools as well. You can climb on the rocks, but just be careful with your footing, as they have very sharp edges and there are a lot of loose ones too. It was windy when we got there and quite cool. Definitely bring water with you when you are there, as the wind and the spray from the sea will leave your throat and lips feeling dry. A hat and sunscreen is strongly recommended (if you don't get sunburn, you will get wind burn). Overall, it was an enjoyable outing and highly recommended for the geology enthusiast
Shally K — Google review
Very beautiful area. Can be accessed after a short walk from the carpark. Be careful not to get too close as people have drowned after being swept off the rocks in the past.

🌊 Bombo Headland Geological Site is an absolute gem in Kiama! The dramatic rock formations and breathtaking coastal views make it a must-see spot for nature lovers and photographers. The unique basalt columns and rugged cliffs are stunning, especially during sunrise or sunset. It’s an easy walk with lots of great photo opportunities. Just be cautious on windy days, as the waves can be intense. A truly remarkable place that showcases nature’s raw beauty. Highly recommend a visit!

Occasionally I found this place from the map for a random family weekend and then was impressed by the natural wonders: thunder powerful waves, magical rocks, and enormous geological features. All are stunning and amazing. All of us feel that we are lucky to find this place and be aware the great place is so close to us!

The Kiama Coast Walk is a spectacular trail stretching approximately 22 kilometers from Minnamurra to Gerringong, offering breathtaking ocean views, dramatic cliffs, and stunning beaches. Walking this scenic route with family and friends today was an unforgettable experience, filled with adventure, fresh sea air, and plenty of photo opportunities. We started our journey near Minnamurra River, where the calm waters and lush greenery created a peaceful beginning. As we made our way south, we passed Bombo Headland, with its striking basalt columns formed by ancient volcanic activity. The waves crashing against the cliffs added to the dramatic beauty of the landscape. Reaching Kiama, we stopped to admire the Kiama Blowhole, which put on an impressive display, sending water high into the air. Nearby, the Kiama Lighthouse stood tall against the bright blue sky, offering a perfect spot for a rest and some great photos. Continuing along the track, we passed Easts Beach and Loves Bay, where rolling green hills met the sea, creating postcard-worthy views. Finally, we arrived at Werri Beach in Gerringong, feeling accomplished and in awe of the stunning coastline. The Kiama Coast Walk is an absolute must for nature lovers, blending adventure, exercise, and the raw beauty of Australia’s South Coast.

I walked the southern section with my son yesterday. It's an area of stunning scenery. My biggest problem was the slope of the path across the path, which puts quite a strain on your feet. There's a few seats, but not enough. It would be good to add extra seats, particularly at the top of the hills, with some shading as well.

Minnamurra Beach, also known as Mystics, is the northernmost beach on the Kiama Coast Walk and is situated next to the picturesque Minnamurra River. This stunning beach features a rocky headland and offers great surfing opportunities with solid breaks from the south swell. The north end of the beach boasts a beautiful wedge that attracts surfers and boogie boarders, while also providing a secluded atmosphere without crowds.
Minnamurra Beach is a beautiful, peaceful spot with easy parking, making it a convenient place to visit. The beach and sand are lovely, offering a quiet and relaxing atmosphere. However, it's worth noting that there are a few steep steps to access the beach, and there are no washing facilities available, so be prepared for that. Overall, a great place for a serene day by the water!

No facilities, no lifeguard, danger from sharks! steep steps down.... Don't go to this beach! Ok, if you are still reading... this is a gorgeous beach, one of my favourites, so let's keep this a secret, we don't want it to get crowded! 😉

Great beach, amazing views, little crabs running all over the sand which was awesome to watch. Only a handful but of people around so definitely not crowded. Great walk down the track to beach but may cause issue for people with physical impairments or respiratory issues.

Stairs going down and coming up is an experience but the beach is nice. The walk from the bottom of the stairs to the river inlet takes 10 - 15 minutes depending on how quick you walk. My son was fishing near the rocky island at low tide and caught a decent size bream..

This is an awesome beach to explore and sight-see. Snorkelling was well worth it, hiking up the hill rewards you with outstanding views and there’s a great park for the kids to hang out afterwards. Rangoon Island provides an amazing backdrop and is a terrific site on its own accord. Not your typical beach but still provided us with hours of fun over a few days.

There is not a lot here so there is not a lot to be wrong. The beach is beautiful and really empty. Don’t expect facilities and lifeguards but a short stair hike from a parking lot sees you on the beach staring at the ocean.

Visitors can capture stunning images of the stacked structures or simply relax while listening to the crashing waves against the unique rocks.
Dangerous❗I have to say even its a beautiful place but its very risky place to take photo. I think i was in the safe spot to taking photo cos its still few steps distance from the edge of the sea but the wave can up to 3 to 4 meters and u will be get wet so plesea stand at the very front to take photos. There is no stop sign to be aware. We were there around 1pm

Nestled just off Jamberoo Mountain Road, the Minnamurra Rainforest Centre is a popular destination for nature enthusiasts. The elevated boardwalk offers a 1.6km loop through sub-tropical rainforest, providing wheelchair accessibility and opportunities to spot lyrebirds and wallabies. Visitors can also enjoy a refreshing walk to the falls, with slightly cooler temperatures and relatively manageable terrain.
Just fabulous experience of a rainforest. Visual and olfactory immersion. The walkway climbs 190 metres to the stunning waterfalls, with lovely viewing spots and plenty of seats along the way. Only at he very end re there steps, otherwise just slopes which at times means some moderate slopes that mean taking time or having a rest on a nearby seat. Wonderful range of people going up to the falls, from all different cultures, young groups, parents with children (pusher friendly) and older folk, and lovely interchanges and mutual encouragements. The magnificent environment seems to bring out friendliness! We enjoy a lot of different national park walkways, and this one is one of the top walks
Hans R — Google review
The walk is quite serene. You will spot a lyrebird or two in the shrub if you are lucky. The waterfall at the end of the walk is wonderful with a great photo opportunity from the spacious viewing deck. The path is solid and fully built up, but be warned that it is steep in parts.
Thomas L — Google review
Really nice rain forest walk that is well set out. There is some uphill at times but the easy walk should be doable for most people. The harder walk is a lot steeper and i didn’t try that one. We saw some lyrebirds and water dragons. You can hear lots of birds throughout the forest. Would definitely come again, and very family friendly.
Reuben — Google review
We have been coming here as a family for years ; the visitor centre is informative and offers snacks, beverages and well considered souvenirs; the rainforest walk is on raised boardwalks and the waterfall is spectacular; a good uphill walk but accessible for all with plenty of seats and rest areas , a great rainforest introduction, but definitely worth revisiting time and time again ! It does get really busy , so we would recommend weekdays or early mornings to get the best experience!
Rodd F — Google review
Minnamurra Rainforest Walk is an absolute gem on the NSW South Coast! From the moment you step onto the path, you're enveloped in truly lush, vibrant vegetation. It feels like stepping into another world, with towering trees, ancient ferns, and the rich sounds of the rainforest all around you. The walking paths are incredibly well-maintained, making for an easy and enjoyable stroll, even for those with limited mobility (though some sections to the falls are steeper). The elevated boardwalks are fantastic for getting a close-up view of the canopy and the various creeks. What really stands out is the descriptive signage throughout the walk. We learned so much about the unique flora and fauna, and it really enriched the experience. The informative visitor centre at the start is also excellent, with friendly staff who can provide helpful tips and more context about the rainforest. All day parking costs $12 and is fair for about 3 hours of quality time. A truly worthwhile visit for nature lovers of all ages. We loved every minute of it!
Arnold M — Google review
Good walk and waterfall, beautiful rainforest. Lyre bird track is closed for repairs and upgrade but the track to the waterfall is open. Note that this is mostly uphill to the falls and gets quite steep around the 3/4 mark but worth it. Maybe take stops along the way if challenged.

Hiking Trails
The Gerringong to Kiama Coastal Walk is a well-marked clifftop trail offering stunning sea views and the opportunity to spot whales. The walk features rolling hills on one side and the blue sea on the other, making it a picturesque coastal hike. Visitors can enjoy isolated houses, seaside cliffs, and even catch a glimpse of farm animals along the six-kilometer route. However, hikers should be cautious when crossing Werri Lagoon as tides can rise unexpectedly.
The Gerringong to Kiama Coastal Walk is a breathtaking experience, offering stunning ocean views, rolling green hills, and fresh sea air. Today, we set off on this scenic adventure with family and friends, enjoying perfect weather and plenty of laughter along the way. Starting at Werri Beach, the trail took us along rugged cliffs and open farmland, with sweeping views of the Pacific Ocean. The sound of crashing waves and the sight of seabirds soaring above made the journey even more special. Along the way, we stopped to take photos, spotting dolphins playing in the distance and enjoying the peaceful atmosphere. The steep climbs and grassy tracks provided a good challenge, but the incredible views kept us motivated. The highlight was reaching the Kiama Blowhole, where we were treated to a spectacular water spray as the waves crashed into the rocks. After several hours of walking, we arrived in Kiama, feeling both accomplished and refreshed. We rewarded ourselves with a delicious meal at a local café, reflecting on the beauty of the coastline and the memories made. This 12-kilometer coastal walk is a must-do for nature lovers, offering an unforgettable mix of adventure, exercise, and breathtaking scenery.
Subas S — Google review
I recommend driving to Gerringong station, catching a train to Kiama, then doing the coastal walk to Gerringong & keep the sun at your back. So you have your car at the end, and not to worry about the train schedule (which runs only every two hours) while walking. Also check the tide schedule.
Toni H — Google review
Such an exceptional and breathtaking beautiful nature. There's a bit of an up and down hill which makes it above average considering the length, however, it's not a difficult walk. We walked from Kiama side to be back to the sun and got Uber on the way back. Note that several parts of the track are too muddy and need proper boots. Most importantly, when ended a few hours walk at the Werri Beach it was a high tide and we had to go waist deep in water to pass the Werri Gully entrance!
Ali A — Google review
Pls follow Toni's advice!!! If you gonna walk daytime, start from Kiama as he said! Sun behind you😂 doesn't matter whenever, DAYTIME! I went by train from CBD, started at central and stopped at Kiama. Walked from Kiama to Gerringong (it's around 3-4 hrs! Not 6! as the google map said) Go in spring or autumn are better. Put a lot of sunscreen! my back got burnt. And from Werri beach (Gerringong), pls walke a bit to see the best road view in NSW 😂😂 it's at the end of the beach. Then walk 20 min to Gerringong station. Unfortunately our train was delayed 70 mins then we took Uber to Kiama around $30 and 10 mins. P.S. Ask ppl there to share the ride with you for cheaper price🥺 !! Many hills and slope🫠 but worth to do! !! Don't forget to take full bottle of water and great sneakers with you. Ofc power bank as well if run out of batter, you can ask staffs at station for charging your phone. No cable needs, they've plate with many adapters at the counter.

I recently walked the track between Kiama and Gerringong, and it was a lovely experience. The nature along the way was stunning, with beautiful coastal views and lush surroundings. The trail itself was easy and well-maintained, making it suitable for most fitness levels. Whether you’re looking for a peaceful stroll or just a chance to enjoy the outdoors, this track is a great choice!
Pino A — Google review
Spectacular walk for the moderately fit. Just remember to check the water level of the Werri lagoon - after heavy rains, it may be unpassable on foot.
Toni M — Google review
What a walk. Only one problem was how much mud there was in sections and how slippery it was, hubby fell. But it has awesome vistas. Just wonderful. You do need to be relatively fit as there are quite a lot of up hills. It is a long walk so be sure to have good walking shoes and you do need some stamina. Not a bird lovers hike, very few.

Kiama is often overlooked as just a quick stop to see the blowhole, but it offers much more. The area boasts stunning beaches and meadows that are worth exploring. If you're lucky enough to visit when the sea is rough, you can witness the spectacular water leaks caused by waves crashing against the walls. Beyond the blowhole, Kiama offers breathtaking views that are perfect for photography enthusiasts. It's definitely a place worth visiting at least once due to its natural beauty and charm.
Gods country! Great for a day of pinics, swimming , sight seeing and walks. Nice to poke around the local shops too. Can get very busy in school holidays and weekends but it's a beautiful place. Check the blow hole out.

When here on the weekend. There is plenty of parking but also lots of cars as you get closer to the blowhole. Suggested to park near the shops and cafe or not too close to the blow hole since it not a long walk and it's a pleasant nice walk if the weather is nice. Stay around the blowhole area for about 30mins unfortunately didn't end up seeing the water blowing maybe it's not that windy or maybe later in the afternoon when tides are higher might able to see the water blow. However, it's a nice place to walk around and lunch there for a day trip.

Werrie Beach is Gerringong is a beautiful stretch of beach in south coast NSW. It’s approximately 90mins drive from Sydney, past Kiama. The beach has a long stretch of stand with rock cliffs on either side. We perched on the southern end of the beach near the Ourie Rock Pool and the surf club. The sand is coarse so great for building sandcastles! There is parking available along many entrance points. There is limited surf club patrol so check website for times. The beach is an ocean beach so it can get pretty rough, caution is needed when venturing into the water for a swim. It’s more like ducking waves than swimming, but there is the rock pool on the southern end to get laps in or for a more relaxed swim. There are also toilets available on the southern end. Really lovely beach.

Beautiful beach perfect for swimming with children in lagoon. Besides that if you walk across the lagoon you can see beautiful view of Dovecote with farm animals

Nice, clean, wide, and beautiful. Shower and facilities only available at the end.

Pretty little beach including a lagoon for safe swimming. Great for photography. Interesting house on the hill that aparently cost $5m to build and won the Australian House of the year in 2019. They must have run out of money for the landscaping lol.

Surfing Werri Beach can get very dramatic! But there's always someone up to the challege. But you can get a nice comfortable wave on the point.

Pretty little beach for surfers. The waves are perfect for new surfers to learn how to surf . Kids are always here enjoying their own ways of learning how to surf. And the place is beautiful itself.

Dangerous beach for swimming when waves are rough. Sandbars & rips can be unpredictable at Surf Beach Kiama. Jan 2013 & Oct 2023 saw multiple person rescues here. Don't swim here when rough, by yourself, if lifesavers not in attendance or outside of the flags. If you get into difficulty, NEVER swim against a rip, you'll tire quickly & probably drown. Go with the rip (as scary as it seems at first), float on your back using your hands to assist floatation, conserve your energy, concentrate on your breathing & staying afloat. The rip will eventually fade, then raise a hand for assistance if needed. Otherwise swim back to beach at an angle to avoid any futher rips.

Very clean beach. Waves are quite big. There is a park behind the beach.

One of the best , remote, peaceful and lovely beach near Sydney. Not far from Kiama Blow Hole, this beach offers surfing, eating and accommodation , all encompassed in one place. Going as a group will be more enjoyable. Note : If you are a vegetarian and want to get some hot food, you can get some yummy food from Helensburgh Venkateshawara Temple and head down to the beach.

Island
Nestled at the mouth of the Minnamurra River, Stack Island is a captivating volcanic outcrop that draws visitors with its stunning natural beauty. This picturesque destination, also known as Rangoon Island, boasts unique basalt formations and an intriguing history dating back to its naming in 1861 by Captain F.W. Sidney. The nearby village offers a serene escape from the hustle and bustle, complete with access to waterways perfect for fishing, paddling, or enjoying a BBQ.
Did you know the intriguing history behind Stack Island, also locally known as Rangoon Island? Situated north of Kiama at the mouth of the Minnamurra River, this stunning island offers more than just captivating scenery. Its unique basaltic formations have drawn attention for years, but its history is equally fascinating. The island was officially named Stack Island in a 1861 survey by Captain F.W. Sidney, R.N., likely due to its resemblance to a stack or haystack. But its local name, Rangoon Island, has a harrowing backstory. The name comes from a tragic shipwreck that occurred on March 22, 1870. The Rangoon, a 374-ton barque, mistook the Minnamurra River for Kiama Harbour due to poor visibility and rough seas. Fortunately, all souls on board were saved, but the ship was lost, cementing its place in local folklore. Next time you look out towards this breathtaking island, remember it's not just a pretty view but a place steeped in history!
Visimuse S — Google review
Good spot to go for a canoe up the river or out and around the island if the swell is small enough.

Nestled in the picturesque town of Kiama, Cathedral Rocks is a stunning natural wonder that captivates visitors with its striking basalt formations. These impressive structures have been sculpted by relentless waves over time, creating an awe-inspiring landscape that's perfect for exploration. Whether you choose to drive through the scenic area or take a leisurely stroll along the boardwalk, Cathedral Rocks promises an unforgettable experience amidst nature's artistry. Don't miss out on this breathtaking destination!
It's a beach with similar rock structures to Bombo Headland Geological site. It's only about 5-10 minutes away from Bombo. A much smaller beach, but couldn't get to the cave. The beach was rocky with sand in a small area surrounded by rocks. There were a few people who swam there, and a few families who played there. But because there was more rocks than sand, it wasn't crowded. It's a beautiful beach for pictures like Bombo. But obviously not for people who can't make the rocky walk.
