Loved this museum! There was tons of historical knowledge and information. Plenty to show for the history of India and the influences of the British empire. The staff were not the most helpful however the exhibits more than make up for that.

It's a collection on documentary prototype of mahatma Gandhi life journeys wh8ch are well explained and described. Museums has 40 camp which one of them having unique information. Each camp having separate guide for giving information and guiding. Entry fees for museum is 25₹. There is also free bag storage counter. Staff is good and they treatment is good. Nearest bus station, Railway station or airport is Rajkot. Local transports are there to achieve your locations. No OLA or Uber is available. Shortly is nice place

The Watson Museum exhibiting collection of items from around Gujarat. The items are good quality, and arranged thematically. The items on display is a very eclectic mix of items that would not be out of place in a major museum, but arranged in a compact package. Sadly, there’s very little information except for the labels. The religious statues, marble statue of Queen Victoria and the Durbar Hall of the princely states of Gujarat are the most interesting items in the museum. The museum is located inside Jubilee Garden and can be done in about 30 minutes. The cost of entry is trivial, but taking photos is twice the cost of entrance for a foreigner.

Jubilee Garden is a large park in the centre of Rajot. The Watsome museum and Lang Library are two buildings dominate the centre of the park. As parks go, it’s fairly clean, but there’s not that much grass with large patches bare. It’s actually quite a peaceful escape from the busy city and there’s playground facilities for children, but I wouldn’t go out of the way unless visiting the aforementioned buildings

Honestly the place is not my vibe. The garden is no matter old and maintained. But you may find people sleeping inside during the noon time which my not allow fpr people to explore more about it. Even people come here to sit and relax but most of them are sleeping inside dorm or else taking lunch in the center.

It’s the place where Gandhi ji had spent 11 year of his life with his family. It’s later on become the museum place but sold to someone which afterwards purchased back by king of Rajkot in ₹50,000/-. The structure are the original only i.e. all windows , doors and walls are same but the roof has modified a bit.

A unique museum!! It's a rare opportunity to see a Dolls museum, here in Rajkot. Good to visit with children. The museum is situated on 2&3 rd floors. The lift was not working when we reached there. We had to climb steps. It was built by an ex Rotary president of Rajkot for his daughter. He wrote mails to Rotary branches of the world and hence many international branches sent dolls representing their country and regions. It takes around 1 hour to see all the exhibits. The rooms are air conditioned. The tickets cost ₹30 per adult and ₹15 per child. It costs another ₹125 if you want to click photos. The dolls represent their country's costume and culture. Children can spend good time there. However make sure they have emptied their bladder before. Because the toilet here is a medieval era one, on the ground floor. I wish the Rotary club would pay attention and renovate the toilet as kids come to this place.

Rajkumar College (known as RKC) is one of the oldest K-12 institutions in India. It was established in 1868 by the erstwhile Princes and Chiefs of Kathiawar. This institution constructed in the Indo Gothic style is spread around 25 acres and is difficult to miss if you are in Dr. Radhakrishnan road in Rajkot. While this institution was only meant for boys (read Princes) in the olden days it is currently a co-educational boarding and day school affiliated to the CBSE. It is a really nice place to know about Gandhiji and gandhiji's life. It is very good museum.This is being made by Gujarat government. Every Indian or any citizen of tge world should visit one time or more time to know about the nation father of india and a centuries man.

The Mohandas Gandhi High School is a former school converted museum dedicated to the entire life of Gandhi. The name of the school is Alfred High School, but commonly called by the name of it’s most prestigious graduate. The entrance fee is even more discriminatory than the usual 10x for foreigners and I was conflicted about paying 15x compared to a local. I initially started off visiting a couple of rooms and then an employee began to guide me through the remainder of the museum because it was part of the ticket. There are over forty rooms in total, each depicting the life of Gandhi in chronological order. Each room has a good amount of information and exhibits on display. Here’s the problem with the guide. The guide takes you through each room and talks about each room. Each room has more information than the guide gives and I would often want to spend more time in the room, except for the guide wanting me to move to the next room. Don’t get me wrong, the guide spoke good English and did a good job of explaining the contents and theme of the room. I just wanted to do things at my own pace. Overall, the museum is excellent, but the price for foreigners and the guide rushing me through the museum was too annoying.

A must must visit place in Rajkot. Earlier known as Alfred school, now turned into a museum now known as Mahatma Mohandas Gandhi Museum. Now this place and building wholly dedicated to the life of Mahatma Gandhi and his journey, life, principles, struggle and teachings. Best part is inside the dome they have special screening of learning’s and teachings of Gandhi through really beautiful light show which is a must attend. When we were there sadly not many people were there, probably awareness needs to be created. The best area which remain untouched by visitors -is the library. The library contains each & every book written on Mahatma Gandhi Ji. In between your visit to the Alfred School & it's light show, you must visit the library & get hold of some few pages of great books written on him.

Nice Gujarati food, most of the time quick service unless on weekends when you find rush. One of the unique things which I love is old songs always getting played in restaurant whenever you go. Staff is courteous and nice. The food is tasty too. Must try their shrikhand in summers.

Ranjit Vilas Palace is a historic royal residence located in Rajkot. The architecture reflects Indo-European style, and the palace has great cultural and historical value. It is not generally open for the public, as it's still the residence of the royal family. However, the exterior view and the surrounding area are impressive and worth seeing if you're interested in heritage. The palace adds charm to the city and is a reminder of Rajkot's royal history. There are no visitors allowed inside the palace except for under special circumstances granted that they have permission from the present descendant of the Jhala dynasty - High Royal Highness Dr. Digvijay Sinh Zala. I was at Ranjit Villas Palace, Rajkot as part of my work. Its a residential palace where the Royal family still lives. I heard from one of the attendents that it is open to visitors only on special requests. From the little I could explore after my work, Rajkot seemed like a small city with bustling market streets. The Royal family is planning a museum of their personal collection which shall be open to the public soon.

The timing on google is fake. Maybe because some people mix the Ranjit Vilas palace of Rajkot with the Ranjit Vilas palace in Wankaner. The Rajkot palace is not open for visits.

The best place for Darshan of Lord Swaminarayan, only one issue is it's located on very highly trafficked place. This tample is having very Miraculous Tree of Indian Berry called as Bor which usually have thorns but thats around 300 year old tree and don't have a single thorn.

One tree named “bordi’ which was famous Swaminarayanji were sitting below that tree and there is no Kata in that bordi tree which makes trust in god .

One of the best Swaminarayan temple I ever visited, The atmosphere of temple & the charm of Swaminarayan bhagwan makes you feel like you are standing in Akshardham. God's decorations are made only with flowers, which are very attractive. The most important thing is that here you can find 'Prasadi ni bordi' at the entrance. If you are a true devotee then you must visit this temple once in your life.

They took money twice from me ! The matter is not about just ₹300/- but all about customer satisfaction. When paid the money once, they asked for the money for another time, after paying them the money for second time, when asked for the camera footage, they did not answered and just returned the money paid second time. The office staff was irresponsible and the abusive language with customers clearly gives a message about the short life left of the petrol pump if not changed the staff soon. At least I or my family will not again go the pump for sure but I will also suggest everyone strongly to avoid going to this petrol pump !!

Lang Library is one of the oldest Library in Rajkot. It was legislative Assembly when Rajkot was the capital of Saurashtra. Lang library is now known as Arvind Maniyar Library. It is only a library where you can get old books of history, political, Journalism, Films & many more. All staff members are very good and politely talk and do their work. So many books for every area of interest.... Club member fee is reasonable... We can feel peace in this library... There is no toilet facility for Boys.... There are many problems regarding seating arrangement.... Infrastructure is weak and not too strong for earthquake....

Very micro museum. Gandhijis school converted into Museum. Its a big place and needs around 2 hours to visit. Nice guides available at free of cost to give u all details . There is also a light and sound show starting at 7.15pm. Last entry to Museum is allowed before 6pm. And its closed on Monday

Well maintained place ticket includes guided tour, guide have very in-depth knowledge about life of Gandhi ji. It is must visit if you reach rajkot, there is also good restaurant in campus. Restroom facility is also in campus.

School converted into Mahatma Gandhi Museum, place was so huge and building was well maintained one place to know about Gandhi. Ticket price is 30/- on September 2025 worth a visit.

It was a very nice experience. The whole jivan Katha of Gandhiji was clearly seen. ACs made our 3 hours very comfortable inside the museum. One can visit you own in the hot afternoon and feel very comfortable. The light show in the evening is really worth watching

I attended Big Bang Astronomy Club here since 18 years. They have telescope library and normal library too. Have many different programs to satisfy your scientific curiosity (i.e Sunday science school and museum)

A great place to learn science. I am a member of Big Bang Astronomy Club which is a part of this center. The club organises really nice events on Astronomy.

It's the only science centre in the region, located in the lung of the city, supported by an excellent qualified, dedicated and selfless team. Unfortunately it is badly in need of support, and the lack of funds and space is clearly visible. It is the need of the hour that individuals interested in seeing any development in science gather all the support possible, to ensure that the place sustains. The activities of the science center are exemplary, and the team is highly dedicated!

Excellent activities for the service to science are carried out by this centre. May it be basic sciences, electronics, astronomy and life sciences. This centre ignites the young minds to bring out the scientist in them. I strongly suggest the parents to bring their children here and make them a member

Today my wife and I visited O. V. Sheth Regional Community Science Centre, Aryabhatt Science Museum, and Pramukh Swami Planetarium at racecourse, Rajkot, Gujarat. All three places are in an old, unattractive, poorly maintained building. Although the ticket was only Rs 5.00 for the Science Canter and Museum, there was nothing there to see, know, learn, enjoy, and get excited. All the lengthy information about everything was in regional language, Gujarati. There was nothing worth noticing in the planetarium, either. At 5 p.m., we were the only two visitors! We could not see the show in the planetarium because they wanted minimum five spectators. We both felt that the visit was wastage of time.

Nice museum for students. Students can get knowledge from there. Good concession for school tours. They will ask for school letter pad. There are many parts Museum. Tara mandal. Magic projects. Children will like it very much. Full safety there will not be any kind dangerous there. For parking you will get much space there in half kilometre.

It can take you a complete one day for you to view all shows tickets are nearly 350 for all shows including entry ticket but it's worth while to spend a weekend there. Also fir anybody who loves to touch stuff in museums yes it's allowed! Just try not break anything. 😀
