The Taj in Pyin Oo Lwin is an Indian restaurant located by a small lake, offering fantastic food with a view. Despite the lack of atmosphere due to low clientele, it's a delightful spot for a meal. The restaurant serves delicious late lunches and specializes in Indian cuisine, particularly known for its well-made paneer makhan Wala and good rotis. The view of the lake adds to the pleasing dining experience.
This is one of the best Indian food option not only in Pyin oo lwin, but in Myanmar. The food is really authentic and not having the Myanmar flavour. The service was fast and location is great with a great view of small lake. I would never miss this place on my next visit.
Sandeep S — Google review
Really good Indian food. The other reviews complained of service, but that was not our experience. Service was attentive, but not bothersome. Food came quickly, but was fresh and delicious. I don't know a lot about Indian cuisine and server was more than helpful. Great option for dinner or lunch. Beautiful view of lake, sunset was awesome.
Adam B — Google review
This is a very nice and elegant place, and the staff speak great English, Hindi, and Burmese. The ambience is very nice by the lake with a cool breeze and A/C. Prices are typical for an Indian restaurant of this caliber.
Nikamui B — Google review
The best naan my wife and I have had in a long time. Beautiful venue and great place to watch the sunset. Disappointed with the Avocado milk shake (a bit diluted) but everything else was wonderful.
Anthony N — Google review
Try the mutton birayni Soooooo gooodddddd Didn't like the grill chicken though. It was kinda dry and tasted not special.
Patricia — Google review
Fantastic place. The chef is from New Delhi. The tandoori chicken is juicy not dry at all. Delicious. Will recommend.
Jann N — Google review
Delightful Indian food restaurant in Pyin Oo Lwin. We went for a late lunch and found the whole place to ourselves. However, we were informed that between 3 to 4 pm, they cannot make rotis or any form of Indian breads. So we had to wait for about 15 mins for the same. The paneer makhan Wala was well made. The maa ki daal lacked the flavour. Rotis were well done and tasted good. Service was good. View is of the lake which is quite pleasing.

Nestled in the charming town of Maymyo, All Saints Church stands as a testament to history and faith. Constructed in 1912, this Anglican church retains much of its original character, despite some modern updates like corrugated iron roof tiles. Just an eight-minute stroll from the iconic clock tower, it offers visitors a serene atmosphere filled with peace and silence.

An historical Anglican Church building, still in active use and maintained by the congregation. We visited on a Sunday morning and participated a little in their Sunday service, conducted in Burmese. Some of the congregation passed us English language hymns and service booklets. Lovely church building but really showing its age.

Park
The National Landmarks Garden in Pyin Oo Lwin, Myanmar is an extensive hilly park featuring miniature representations of the country's famous landmarks. While some may find it tacky, it offers a convenient way to see various national landmarks in one place. Visitors can pay a small entrance fee and take a buggy ride around the garden if they prefer not to walk. The garden also features an amusement park for children and a coffee shop for refreshments.
The National Landmark of Myanmar. Located in Pyin Oo Lwin. Beside Kandawgyi Lake.
Maung N — Google review
Because of its more famous neighbor, I think this place is quite under-rated and neglected. But in many ways, the National Landmarks Gardens is an acquired taste. It's has wonderfully recreated some of Myanmar's most famous landmarks in miniaturized form. Reasonably well maintained, there weren't that many people visiting. That's great for photos but having so few people visiting means nature is taking back some of the gardens (lots of spiders and cobwebs in more remote corners).
Anthony N — Google review
I walk around the landmark garden. It take me tired. You have to pay 1000 kyats for enterance fee.You can take the beggy if you don't want to walk.10000 kyats for 30 minutes.clean and beautifual place. You can see the national land mark of Myanmar. And also children can play at the amusement park.I think it is not enought for childre.Nevertheless, you can not go around the Myanmar.take a look at National land mark.Nice to see. There is a coffee shop only in the garden. But you can get foods there.Lovely shop. You should not go in the afternoon.

The Club Terrace Food Lounge (လေညင်းသာ) is a newly opened restaurant located in a renovated colonial bungalow, offering a diverse selection of Chinese and European cuisine. The menu features a Today Special section that showcases the best dishes available. The restaurant provides both indoor and outdoor seating, with romantic lighting at night creating an intimate atmosphere. Guests can enjoy the lovely handmade decorations and modern paintings while savoring their meals.
The food is good. Not too long to wait. Outdoor and indoor seating available. Very friendly and helpful services. The outdoor area is the best place to enjoy. Car parking is not a problem.
Helen — Google review
Lovely setting in a garden. But the food was not worth the price. 20 000 for a big soup that didn't taste good. The servers did not look happy that customers arrived. Didn't greet us and looked mad. But something must have happened because their very sad attitude is very unusual to be meet here in Myanmar.
Amanda M — Google review
Can order local food with reasonable price. Nice vintage decoration and also good for dinner time. You can also try May Myo coffee there.
Win T — Google review
The old colonial house transformed into a restaurant has its distinct old-world charm. My main concern for the place is the upkeep. Because of the dusty, humid air, everything just seems more run-down than in prior reviews and photos, with the white outdoor umbrellas noticeably graying. Food is excellent and prices are reasonable so overall, it's still a great place for lunch or dinner.
Anthony N — Google review
The food is delicious. The price is reasonable. But the big annoying thing is the cat/cats. Cats were around the table and they even tried to jump on us. Nobody paid much attention for that. Moreover, the owner’s young boy was playing around the restaurant and feeding food to the cats.

And its super high ceilings make it feel cool even during the mid Thingyan heat. Old vintage signs and trishaws hanging from the ceiling add to the vibe.

During my recent travels, I stumbled upon Krishna Indian Restaurant, a hidden gem tucked away on a quaint little street. At first glance, it may not seem like much—almost resembling a cozy family living room—but don’t let appearances fool you! The ambiance is simple and unpretentious, with the charm of home-cooked meals. I indulged in their chicken and mutton curries, both served with an excellent chapati that stole the show.
Incredible food at an impossibly cheap price. We ordered mains and got a bunch of complimentary side dishes, the chapati was especially good. I highly recommend this place for an affordable and delicious meal in a local setting. The place is like a family house where the common room has been adapted to act as a restaurant. Don’t expect any luxury!
Alejandra G — Google review
Food is good, a bit long to prepare. Reasonable price. You choose the meat or veg and everything else is included. 4000 kyats for meat including 3 kinds of vegetable and rice and two Chapatti. No beer available. Family business but only one woman seems to work. It's a shame that the atmosphere of the restaurant is rather morbid...
Philippe M — Google review
Definitely one not to be judged by the cover and slightly hidden in a tiny street. The atmosphere could be better too (there is a man sitting there watching TV all the time judging by the same coat he was wearing on other's photos.) However, the chapati was excellent. We had chicken curry and mutton curry. Same sauce for both, the mutton was the best. The order came a bit slow (30min) but the food made up for it. The banana lassi was great.
Steve D — Google review
This is basically a living room of an Indian family. Went here twice during our two days in Pyin Oo Lwin. Food takes some time to get, but I see that as a good sign. With the "vegetable + chapati" you get a great vegetarian Thali with an amazing pumpkin curry 👍
Filip L — Google review

This is the best breakfast in all of Myanmar for me. Not only is the food and coffee great, but the atmosphere is super relaxing with the attached garden. The service is always fast and friendly too. For food I always go for the Burmese classics, but they have a wide variety of other cuisines too, including Chinese, Japanese, and European. The Nan Gyi Thoke is particularly good (that's why it's the first item on the menu). I like to pair it with the Samosas with bean curry. For drinks they also have a wide variety, including high quality tea and pour over coffees at a really good price.
Nick T — Google review
Amazing place to relax and have a great cup of coffee. We didn't get to try the food though so check for other people's reviews. Owned by the Sithar Coffee group who have a huge plantation in the area, they make nice, fresh brews of local and European variety of coffees. In my opinion, it's the best place to chill-out in Pyin Oo Lwin.

This is a memorable place for me cuz this has been along time since my childhood. I really love and like shopping in here but in these days the prices are so higher than the others. So delicious! Beautiful grounds. Each table has its own bamboo room. Prices are very affordable, large portions, fresh veggies, very yummy. We went for dinner and went back the next day for lunch. Highly recommend!! Search this place out for sure. It is a bit down a side street from main road.

As soon as we arrived to Pyin Oo Lwin, we straight away came to this restaurant for Lunch. Waiting time is quite long due to busy time but Foods are great. Moreover, since our hotel is far from downtown, they deliver to foods to hotel. Good Service.

Htoo Orange Farm is a new attraction in Pyin Oo Lwin, offering visitors the chance to pick their own oranges and avocados. The farm charges a modest entrance fee, which can be exchanged for a cup of fresh orange juice or other food items at the on-site restaurant. While the farm is still in the process of growing new orange plants, it provides a serene and peaceful environment for visitors to relax and enjoy some quiet time.
Great Place ... But a bit hot...go before noon....
Yazar W — Google review
They have a spacious parking lot. The entrance fee is 2,000 kyats, which you can exchange with a cup of coffee or a glass of wine. They sell juice, coffee, wine, fruits and some Myanmar snacks. The staff are polite and sweet. They just started growing new orange plants again, so it wasn't beautiful to take picture with these plants. However, it was such a nice place to chit chat. You need to go further from B.E waterfall. It's a bit far.
Hnin D — Google review
One of the latest destination in Pyin Oo Lwin. Admission fee is 2,000 kyats for local and open from 7:30 am to 4:30 pm. One cup of fresh orange juice can be claimed at the counter of restaurant and other food are available with reasonable prices. Oranges can be picked by self and photos can be taken as you like.
Swe T — Google review
The place must visit if you like to see the orange plantation. You can pick up the orange from the trees by yourself.
Ni S — Google review
Good place to get orange and avocado. Quiet and calm. So it's also good place to chill. And they provide both wine and coffee. Not bad.
Sao A — Google review
You pay entrance, get a free and fresh orange juice, short ride to the orange trees, no explanation there neither on the different types nor a bit more regarding farming. Sorry to say but for me it was waste of time.

Carino Cafe and Restaurant is a delightful spot that promises an unforgettable dining experience. Nestled in a vibrant food court, it offers a diverse menu featuring delicious hand-made rice dishes, including bibimbap and mushroom fried rice, alongside tantalizing options like Mala Fries. The cafe also serves refreshing beverages such as Thai Lemon Iced Tea and fresh juices that are both tasty and healthy.
Absolutely perfect food was amazing, recommend the carbonara and the matcha latte, the chicken dumplings are a must try very flavorful and mouth watering.
Mg M — Google review
This cafe has a very minimalistic interior with cute decorations, which creates a calm and pleasant atmosphere. The big window is a nice touch, letting in plenty of natural light. However, the coffee and cake were quite disappointing. The coffee lacked flavor, and the cake was dry. On the bright side, the fruit tea was decent. If you’re looking for a cozy spot to relax with a nice view, this place has its charms, but don’t expect too much from the menu.
Charlotte Y — Google review
Fair taste. I wouldn't recommend both cakes and coffee here. But I'd give a thumbs up for the matcha roll cake. The environment is also noisy and the staff aren't friendly. 😬
