Shopping mall
Shopping
PlusCity, located just outside Linz, is a popular shopping destination offering a bright and spacious retail center with over 200 stores featuring diverse options for clothing, books, cosmetics, and more. The mall also boasts an extensive food court with various dining choices and a top-notch movie theater. Visitors praise the ambiance of the mall as well as its cleanliness and easy navigation. Additionally, the parking facilities are well-designed and connected to the center itself.
Great ambiance mall... one of the best shopping malls I’ve visited! The variety of stores is incredible, with everything from high-end fashion brands to affordable options, making it a great destination for all types of shoppers. The food court offers a diverse selection of cuisines, and the restaurants are top-notch. The mall is always clean, and the layout is easy to navigate, even during peak hours. Parking is ample, and the staff are friendly and helpful. Whether you're looking to shop, dine, or just spend a relaxing day, this mall has it all. Highly recommend!"

An amazing shopping center with many shops , restaurants, Cinema , food courts and cafes with a free parking and free clean toilets . I really enjoyed it and enjoyed walking and shopping on it , we have a nice lunch and we spent a great time on this mall. It is will organized and safe thanks for the management, highly recommended.

Just a Great Partys place..shopping center 👌 👏 👍🏽

Big shopping centre. Despite seeing many dogs without muzzle, ours, asleep under a chair was ordered out by a policeman ( not in uniform) who clearly had attitude. We previously phoned to check and were told no such rule! Irish setters are the least dangerous dogs ever. Nothing better to do ? Big man?
John H — Google review
It is one of the biggest shopping malls in Linz having many branded stores under one roof. It is very clean and spacious. You will find many places to rest, eat, drink and kids playing areas. I always enjoyed visiting this place with friends. I highly recommend shopping for clothing, kids items, footwear, perfumes, computer gadgets and many other things.

Excellent!! We have spent very nice time with my family. It is bright, it is fun and it is beautiful. Has a big parking and a lot of shops. Recommended.

A huge and awesome shopping mall having different brand stores. MediaMarkt is like a separate mall of electronics and digital devices. Famous brands like C&A, H&M and Deichman are available imside the plusCity. The food serving area is fantastic.

The Ars Electronica Center, also known as the Museum of the Future, is a landmark building in Linz, Austria. Established in 1996 and relocated to its current futuristic location on the Danube in 2009, it offers technology-based exhibitions that showcase the city's role as a hub for technology, media, industry, and art. Visitors can explore one-of-a-kind exhibits related to science and technology, including displays on climate change, space exploration, biotechnology, and robotics.
Amazing, inspiring, huge. It’s hard to describe the diversity and breadth of what you can see at the festival.
Szymek D — Google review
This museum might be engaging for children under 10, but for others, it’s one of the most boring and disappointing museums I’ve visited in a long time. I entered with high expectations but was let down within seconds of seeing the exhibition. There’s little of interesting things, most of the time, I wasn’t even sure why I was there. The museum consists mainly of a few screens and wall texts, with at least half of the artifacts not functioning. They could easily create a website, copy-paste the texts, and post the few videos there instead. Overall, the museum feels undefined and empty. Here, you’ll only find what feels like random Wikipedia articles.
Jure F — Google review
Your enjoyment of this museum will likely depend on your interests. This museum goes pretty technical and fairly in-depth about all the available topics so if you aren’t particularly interested in them you might find the museum boring. The first exhibition didn’t suite my interests so I wasn’t interested but the AI part I found very interesting because AI is interesting to me.
Goodguy L — Google review
Located near the banks of a river with a beautiful view. Have a bus stop right in front of it. If while waiting for the bus for a long time with luggage one wants to visit this, no issue. There is locker facility to hold the luggage with lock and key arrangement. Special price on shows for senior citizens. Displays are not that great and informative. Not muchattractive for visitors. Children have some exclusive area for learning and fun.
Karthikeyan K — Google review
Some interesting exhibits especially the quite nerdy section on AI which goes into surprising detail and has some good demos showing how neural nets work. Just beware the 'deep space' show is nothing to do with the universe and more just a kalaidoscope projected onto the floor.
James F — Google review
Absolutely disappointing. There is nothing specific, mostly screens and texts. Better to go to the cinema for the good picture on the screen. I think it was the worst museum I have ever visited. Maybe it is fine for the children though.
Lazzabuda L — Google review
The Ars Electronica Center is a captivating fusion of art and technology. With its interactive exhibits and immersive displays, it offers a thrilling exploration of the digital frontier. A visit to this museum is an inspiring journey into the boundless possibilities of the modern age.

Nestled in the vibrant cultural quarter of Linz, Gelbes Krokodil, or "Yellow Crocodile," is a charming café that transforms into a culinary haven every Sunday from September to May. This delightful spot collaborates with Moviemento cinema to host an enchanting film brunch where guests can savor delicious dishes while enjoying classic films or the latest blockbusters. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, making it perfect for both casual dining and pre-movie meals.
Loved this hidden gem!! Service was great and food was fantastic! I had the rigatoni for some carb replenishment after walking around such a beautiful city, and I would highly recommend it - and have it again. Good beer too. It’s not the easiest place to find from the main shopping street, through an archway, and you won’t see it until you’ve walked across the large square (to the left), then you need to go down some steps. This is a must visit!!

Amazing vegan food and service! Visiting from Australia and found this place following Trip Advisor/Google reviews. Being a Saturday night, they were nearly fully booked but seated us at the bar. The staff were absolutely motoring to serve everyone but still found time to generously attend to us and our German language deficiencies (and recommending us some top notch tap beers). They were also kind enough to reseat us at a table when it became free. The menu is so clearly laid out with vegetarian and vegan sections - and they even showed different allergy codes like soy and sulfur! The food was delicious - truly some of the best dedicated vegan I've had. Despite the very upmarket decor it was astoundingly well priced - 50€ for two beers, two mains, and two apéritifs. Fantastic experience, highly recommend!
Henry — Google review
Travelling alone I was nicely surprised they invited me to eat at the counter instead of waiting for a free table, and as a vegetarian I could choose from half the menu, staff was very nice. Had laibchen vom grill, but with red cabbage since they ran out of celery-garlic sauce, not quite the same, and the salad was sour and craved for a decent sauce. So muh, should've been much better for this price.
Marieke V — Google review
You need reservations! Very busy place and I see why. The food was amazing. Really wanted the vegetarian lasagna but they changed the menu. The dish I had was sort of a spinach cheese loaf with salad. It truly was delicious. 🤤 I’m sampling the New York cheese cake and it is good as well. 2 small suggestions. Get one menu that is in English. Make sure to have disposable utensils for take out. Thanks again will recommend to my daughter’s company. Oh ya you have to go down some steps. GPS had me stop in front of another restaurant. Just keep walking until you see the rainbow stairs and walk down.
Denise B — Google review
NOT RECOMMENDED. Nice that they have vegan options but it’ll ruin your tastebuds. Got the oysters mushrooms dish. There was only 3 pieces of mushrooms and EXTREMELY salty. Their idea of “Asian dish” is to spash lots of soy sauce. Staff were ok, they do their job and ask how was the food but went away as soon as the sentance escape their lips. 😅
Becx R — Google review
Had a nice dinner at the Gelbes Krokodil in our stay at Linz. We didn't have a reservation but they were so accommodating to arrange a table for us. Staff was very friendly and food was delicious. Had a dessert as well and that was the highlight of the dinner. Definitely recommend to anyone.

Very nice location. Friendly service Vegan and vegetarian food Home made drinks
Christian S — Google review
Had lunch at this restaurant and ordered the beef plate. I was disappointed with the portion as there were very few beef strips on the plate (not even 100g of meat!) and the rest of the plate was filled with little amount of vegetables and a lot of rice! For the price they charge, they could be more generous with the meat serving!

Schlossmuseum Linz is a glass-and-steel museum located at Linz Castle, offering a captivating display of Upper Austrian culture, art, nature, and technology. The castle itself has a rich history dating back to the 9th century and now houses the excellent Schlossmuseum. Visitors can explore valuable collections of art and history, including ancient, Roman, and medieval artifacts such as paintings, sculptures, weapons, and armor.
The museum and the exhibits and quite well maintained. The ticket was 6.5 euros and they gave multiple exhibits, we really liked the nature one. It's a good place to come with kids since they have a lot of activities for them.
Ana F — Google review
Larger museum than I expected, particularly given the affordable ticket price. They have insects, coins, traditional crafts, nativity, science, garments... basically everything goes. The new glass building was english-friendly, the larger traditional castle was a hit and miss. Pity that they didn't fully translate, because their most unique artefacts are in the castle and I couldn't tell what I was looking at. The staff doesn't speak much English. I didn't like that they kicked out visitors way ahead of closing times. I also found the museum challenging to navigate. Overall, the collections are of international interest but the management isn't at that level.
Philippe — Google review
Beautiful museum on top of a small hill with lots of very interesting exhibits. Tickets were also very cheap, only 6.5 euros for adults and 3 euros for students. Really worth the money with the quality of the exhibits. There is also a very interesting cave lift entrance for people who don't want to climb the hill to access the main entrance.
Wong X — Google review
A really interesting museum. Worth visiting for different age. A bit funny combination of objects under display though. Amusing) There's a restaurant too.
Алена М — Google review
This one of the best museum. Perfect for all ages.
Alexander L — Google review
It was an interesting museum with many different areas. The levels of English varied greatly between areas, but most were understandable. They have an extensive collection of ecclesiastical objects, a science gallery and other special areas, including modern art. As it seems an add-on, I would not come here for the science area.
Chris S — Google review
Nice experience. Good place to loose some time and relax through the exhibits.
Buglea L — Google review
We were quite disappointed that there was nothing labeled in English. We were told that English tour reservations must be done at least 2 weeks in advance. Inside the museum, everything was in German so we didn't really know what we were seeing, except for the technology section where there is a funny robot who can give you a little explanation of some of the items.

Grottenbahn is a unique and nostalgic underground train ride in Linz, Austria that takes you through the Land of Dwarves, featuring evil dwarves, taxidermied animals, and dragons. The electric dragon-shaped train offers a whimsical journey through scenes from fairytales, making it an ideal activity for families with children. After the ride, visitors can explore miniature exhibitions of famous fairytales in a model town.
It was a very nice, entertaining activity to do with children of all ages. My small one was absolutely fascinated. I think we need to visit again and again until he can figure everything out.
Karina A — Google review
Awful management. For my daughter's birthday, we spent the €171 for the event. However, the management ruined the experience of our guest's mothers by sending them away from the venue into extremely bad weather. The unempathetic manager also did this in an extremely rude manner that left everyone, including other waiting guests, in shock. The attraction itself is quaint and fun, brilliant for birthdays. The party host was fantastic, and the kids loved meeting Sebastian the dragon.
Ed — Google review
Great place to pass by with children. Train who turn around few times with different light and perspective is a great idea ! Then fairytales in miniature city - even that surprised adult like me and I enjoy the visit like a kid. Best attraction in this area ! If you with family this is must visit place
Kamil N — Google review
An interesting adventure for families with children of any age. And the lovers were riding behind us in the train - it was obviously a date ;) The train carries three circles, you can have time to look at all the figures. And then take a walk around the “town” with scenes from the most famous fairy tales.
Maria G — Google review
I thoroughly enjoyed my visit to the Grottenbahn. The train ride was fun, and I was very appreciative that it went around 3 times so you could see everything. However, for me, it still wasn't enough times to see all the details I would have liked to see. I did love the second part of the experience where they have the miniature town square and different fairy tales. I would highly recommend this, especially for families with children.
Shawna F — Google review
It’s ok to visit with small kids max 6/7 years old. Small train makes 3 or 4 rounds in small magical cave filled with elf’s. On the floor below you’ll find a small fairy tale city with themed corners. Overall it’s worth the trip up the hill for a magnificent view of Linz
3 G — Google review
We went to the imagenary world of Dwarfs and fairy tails by tram, uphill about 519 meters above the old town at Linz. It was a nice tril with wonder view along the way. At the Dwarfs World bought tickets to see their imagenary world. Fun for family and adults too.

Passage Linz is a small retail center that offers a sophisticated selection of stores, eateries, and personal services. One notable feature is the Sky Garden. However, some visitors feel that there should be a greater variety of shops representing different brands in order to attract more frequent visits. Additionally, they believe that certain products are priced too high due to the mall's premium location and resulting higher rent costs. It is widely known that parking can be a source of frustration for many patrons.

Shopping centre in the middle of Linz. Rooftop-Skygarden, Restaurant There's a big Interspar under the ground floor. Peek and Cloppenburg is located next to the Entrance.
Mátrai M — Google review
For me, Sky Garden is the highlight. I'm personally not a fan of Peek&Cloppenburg. I think there should be more shops inside from more brands. That would make me come more often. I also think that some of the products are overpriced because of the positioning that involves higher rent. Me and everyone I know, we hate the parking.
Karina A — Google review
Great place for shopping! A very good mix between your regular /well known brands and designers clothing. Some high-end/ premium brands are present here. Very good discounts all year round. Very nice and polite shop assistants, always willing to help out.
Puiu J — Google review
One of my favourite shopping malls. The only problem I have with it is that the elevators can sometimes take forever to take you to the desired floor. There's a fair amount of restaurants and stores with a lot of diversity. It's also one of the few malls that has an American candy store in it. There's always something happening in this mall and there's also a really good department store that's 3 stories big. There's a tech store at the top which is huge, and it's also an Apple store. Also on the first floor there's a perfume store, a hair equipment store, and an Esprit store that extends into the second floor. There's a toilet on the 4th floor that you have to pay 50 cents to get in. Overall one of the better malls in Linz.

Nestled in Linz, Haid Center is a charming shopping destination that offers a delightful mix of fashion, media, and home goods from popular chain retailers. This cozy mall provides an inviting atmosphere for families and friends to enjoy their shopping experience together. Unlike larger malls like Plus City, Haid Center allows you to complete your errands more efficiently without feeling overwhelmed by crowds. One of the standout features of this mall is its small indoor playground designed for children aged three and up.
It’s a good place to buy all kinds of stuff. It has all necessary shops like action, tkmaxx, Bipa, Dm and what not. Most importantly it has maxi markt where we had this yummy cake at. It also has smyth’s for kids.

Seems to me like shopping centre from the biginning of the millenium. Old. No development. Cafe stand: cash only. Very unprofessional service when preparing the coffee (with dirty hands from the cash manipulating with the cup... bad service. Toilets: ladies broken, so all were using men... like, this shopping centre is far away from a place to shop & relax.

Milan R — Google review
A great place for absolutely everyone... For all you shopping and eating needs...I totally recommend this Shopping Center. Especially if you want to shop at a not so overcrowded place... I mean it can on certain days be crowded, however not so crowded you can't walk... Most of the time it's fair when it comes to the amount of customers... Parking is vast.. so you should be able to find a parking space fairly quickly on normal days at normal times . Even on the days where there are more people you can get a parking space which is not too far...They also have a place shopping families can take their kids while the parents shop... A great place to shop...

Your average strip mall with the exact same stores than in every other strip mall. Well, with very few exceptions. Food-wise, a desert. There is only your average Chinese wok buffet and a very run-of-the-mill burger place. It would be great to upgrade the offering. The only cool thing about this strip mall is the availability of high-speed Tesla Supercharging.

Has basically anything you need (e.g., grocery stores, fast food, ...). So, for the people living close by it's quite convenient. However, while they have a big parking lot, it's often very stuffed, resulting in a lot of traffic around the area.

Strip mal with good selection of shops, enough parking space and also the variety of food offerings is OK. Only one public washroom and this one is small. No place to 'park' the kid's to enable the parents an uninterrupted time to spend money :-;

Brucknerhaus Linz is a renowned classical concert hall named after composer Anton Bruckner. It has been a cultural hub in Linz since its establishment in 1974, offering regular performances. The venue is part of the cultural mile along the Danube, which includes attractions like the Lentos Art Museum and the Ars Electronica Center. Additionally, visitors can explore other nearby landmarks such as the Castle Museum and the Music Theater at Volksgarten.
It was nice to find out new things about the building and the city itself. The guided tour is really exciting. Our guide was really nice, and we didn't feel when the 45 minutes went by.

I went to Billy Harper quintet concert, it was so amazing and so beautiful. There were some little points though. One is that the it would be so nice if the person who talked before the concert started would have talked in English. And the second matter is about the audience , they were clapping in the middle of the pieces after each solo. Which is a cultural matter I think but it s not respectful to the musicians anyway. Apart from these points the concert was beyond wonderful.

Beautiful building. Mondays are dark—really wanted to see and experience the hall. Right next the river cruise dock.

While on a teacher exchange, I was fortunate enough to hear two musical performances on back to back nights. The first night was a full symphonic orchestra with works by Mozart and Beethoven. The second night was a performance by the fantastic Voestalpine symphonic bass orchestra. While listening on the first night I noticed how balanced the sound from each instrument seemed to be. Throughout the night, the sound quality stood out. This continued the following night. Out of the various halls I have heard symphonies performed, this is at the top for sound quality. If it were not 6 time zones away, I would be a regular at performances here.

The greatest concert hall in the world. Beautifully laid out with great views from every seat and lots of legroom. The staff are all so friendly. The Bruckner orchestra are fantastic. 10 out of 10 for the venue and the orchestra.

I photographed a ball here last saturday but also was here before for a music-event. Although it is already a old building the toilets for example are very clean and tidy. Also the seats are very comfortable and clean. The downside for me are the bars, where nearly everytime there are too few workers so you have to wait in line quite a while. But definitely would come here again!

Pöstlingberg, a 539-meter high hill above Linz, offers a unique experience for visitors. Accessible by historic trams in the summer and modern trams year-round, the journey to the top takes about 20 minutes. Atop Pöstlingberg, there's a historic church and an observation deck providing panoramic views of Linz. The area is also known for its picturesque uphill tram ride and opportunities to spot deer in nature.
A fun, steep tram ride with fantastic views at the top over the city. Don't follow the Google Map pin for Postlingbergbahn - it looks like it only goes from the stop over the river, but it actually goes from the main square, Hauptplatz. The tram is scheduled every half an hour, which is just long enough at the top to take some pictures, follow the circular path and take a look at the church. Very handy attraction for a reasonable price
Seiriol D — Google review
A unique tram station and also a heritage tram ride. It goes up to an elevation of 560m hill of Postlinberg hill with a steep track and very narrow track. From here you can enjoy the view of Linz city.

We had a night halt in Linz during our river cruise. The Postlingberg is a 539 (1760 ft) high hill on the left bank of the Danube in city of Linz. It is a very popular tourist attraction, with a viewing platform over the city, and is the site of the Postlingberg pilgrimage church, and the Linz Grottenbahn. One can reach here from city square by line 50 of the Linz tramways, running over the Postlingbergbahn mountain tramway. It costs 10 euro for return trip, and it takes 20 minutes each way. It runs every 30 minutes. The ride both ways was very pleasant and scenic. The view from top is great of entire town, countryside and Danube. There was a restaurant, cafes, a church and a theater. There was also a zoo on the midway. A nice place for families and photo opportunities !!
Balkrishna S — Google review
We visited Pöstlingberg with our child and had a great time. The highlights were interacting with the deer, riding the Grottenbahn toy train, and exploring the miniature houses—all of which our child loved. The place is scenic, peaceful, and very family-friendly. We spent about 3 hours there, which was perfect for a relaxed visit. Highly recommended for families looking for a fun and easy outing in Linz!

Pöstlingberg is a great way to spend a day in nature, in Linz, with a pretty good chance to see deer grazing. There are also some great panoramic views of the city, weather permitting. No matter the weather, there are cool restaurants and places to walk around and take in the sights and fresh air.
Bob W — Google review
Cool tram ride, great view from the hill and a great walk on the hill with the kids. They loved the playground area and the space up there. A thing to do in Linz on a Sunday.
Nikolina K — Google review
Perfect place for weekend wandering(you can get here also with a tram, which is the steepest, or one of most steep railways in Europe). Observation deck with a view on Linz, if weather is nice and air is clear, at the horizon you can see Alps.

(Translated by Google) We've been customers at Jindrak for over 25 years. But I've rarely experienced such unfriendly staff as at Lentia City. We ordered two "Hot Love" ice creams and received three mini scoops of ice cream and a whitish raspberry mush. When I pointed this out to the waitress, she explained that the raspberries are repeatedly reheated in the microwave, which is why they look like that. For €8.80, I can certainly expect something that doesn't look like vomit. The waitress was also extremely unfriendly. I will definitely not visit this branch again. The market operates on Fridays and Saturdays alongside daily sales kiosks offering 80% regional goods. Visitors can also enjoy food, coffee, wine, or beer while socializing.
One of the best markets and farmer's markets we have ever been to. Even in winter it is an awesome place to be with so many great stalls and delicatessen shops, hard working individual farmers selling their hand-made cheese, meats, marmalades, bread, candles and wines. There are great permanent shops as well including bakeries 🥨🥖and cake shops 🍰, spice shops and butchers, fruit 🍓 and vegetables 🍆, fish 🐟 and cheese 🧀 sellers as well as cafés ☕ Not to forget about Specklois who has by far the best speck and Hascheeknödel🥓 On the Südbahnhofmarkt you can find literally everything you need from ecologically and locally sourced farm produce to tin-openers and fresh blood oranges.
