Nestled in the charming towns of Sigulda and Turaida, Mr. Biskvits is a delightful café that has been winning hearts since its inception in 2012. This cozy establishment began as a quaint tea room, evolving into a beloved spot known for its scrumptious cakes and warm hospitality. With roots tracing back ten years, it embodies the spirit of community and tradition through its inviting atmosphere and delectable offerings.
The Food was amazing especially for the price. The pasta with tiger prawns was perfect cooked and spiced, the salad with burata was fresh and the pesto was creamy. The mascarpone cream that was used in desserts was well balanced and perfectly accented the sweetness of the cookies and carrot muffins. The atmosphere was cozy, warm and welcoming. Will definitely come again :)

The atmosphere is amazing, especially in warm weather when the terrace is open, it’s such a cute spot with great vibes. The food is always delicious. My personal favorite is the Caesar salad, and my mom absolutely loves their potato pancakes. It’s also a dog-friendly place, which makes it even better if you’re traveling with a pet!
Great cafe in Sigulda. It is located conveniently right in front of the station so you can have your foods while you wait for the transport. The menu has good amount of variety. The food is delicious and the service was decent as well.
We had a beautiful experience, with tasty food, and enough to satisfy the apetite after the longest walk through Sigulda.

Overall great atmosphere and service. We ordered wok with beef and the wait wasnt very long, taking into account that it was rush hour. The pictured latte was amazing, but the “salty caramel” cake wasnt salty nor sweet. The wok was very sweet though, not exactly my taste, but it was good either way.

This is a nice restaurant with a good ambience and food. There is plenty of seating and the decor is very cute.
The bread and green butter was very good; the black bread was okay but the white bread was so addicting.
I ordered the duck fillet and it was delicious; I'm always nervous the duck is try, but it was very juicy, and the flavor and the sides were very good. The steak was good, not amazing but not bad. The trout was the same, fresh but nothing amazing; the salad it came with was good. I think the duck was probably my favorite delicious. I also wanted to try the spicy fish soup, but they ran out.

It was a pleasure to have a dinner in this restaurant. Staff very nice and kind, and the dinner was delicious. The price matchs the quality and quantity. This restaurant worths the visit. What a pitty there is no restaurant like this in Spain or Czech republic, because we would return for sure.

Well, we came here with some expectetions due to the reviews given so far but we were disappointed. Staff was unfriendly and not helpful at all. Despite us being the only guests at that point they seemed annoyed by us. Food was good but nothing more than just "good". Portion sizes rather small. There are certainly better options around.

Stumbled upon Eklers cafe by chance and was pleasantly surprised. Despite being non-Latvian English speakers, the staff went out of their way to assist us in understanding their menu. A kind customer even offered translation help due to her excellent command of English. Highly recommend trying their chocolate and cream cake as well as the traditional Latvian honey pastry. Our friends enjoyed the grey peas and jellied meat dishes.
Amazing. Food is great! Menu is huge! Everything I've tried tastes good, salads, pancakes, dumplings, pastries, cake.. Atmosphere is homey and staff are very friendly. There is outdoor seating available. Location couldn't be better as it's right across the street from the bus and train station. Prices are modest for a tourist-ish town. Working hours are long. My only complaint is that they serve VERY hot coffee in glasses instead of mugs, which makes it impossible to hold and/or drink it for half an hour. The coffee itself tastes superb though. Overall 9/10 recommend.

Good place right in the town centre where to stop for tasty breakfast or lunch. Freshly backed pastries, wide choice of filled pancakes, hot and cold drinks. We had soup - delicious. Bacon bites just out of oven. Prices are friendly too, breakfast for two cost us 15 EUR.
We happened across this place by mistake and I’m so glad we did! We walked in there, as non-Latvian English speaking foreigners, knowing nothing but wanting to try everything.
They were SO nice! They patiently explained all of the food to us. There was even a customer who took the time out of her busy day to translate some of what the store owners were saying since her English was perfect!
I recommend the chocolate and cream cake. The honey pastry was also really good and traditionally Latvian.
My friends tried the grey peas and some jellied meat and they liked it.
Also the music in this store was 10/10. It was a whole vibe on its own in that snowy, wintery, dark afternoon.
It’s definitely a beacon of light in Sigulda and super close to the bus stop.

Dropped by La Pizza Veloce with a rumbling stomach and a controversial craving: Hawaiian pizza. Yes, I willingly ordered pineapple on pizza, and no, I have no regrets.
The pizza arrived in exactly 7 minutes and 17 seconds — blink and it’s in front of you. True to the name, they don’t mess around with “veloce.” The service was equally speedy and super helpful, like they’d been trained by Formula 1 pit crews and customer service angels.
Now, onto the pizza. First off, the additional garlic sauce? Surprisingly good. Tangy, rich, and they tasted homemade — the kind of sauce that’s been stirred with love and maybe just a little passive-aggressive Italian pride. The toppings? Generous. No stinginess here. Ham, pineapple, cheese — all showing up and clocking in for work. A hungry person like me didn’t have to go on a topping treasure hunt.
The dough had a nice bite to it, though I’ll admit the price leaned slightly into “treat-yourself” territory. Not outrageous, but enough to make you raise one eyebrow like a suspicious detective in a pizza crime drama.
Good for a quick meal while passing by or if you want to have a cozy experience and take your time. Industry standard prices but with a speedy delivery (admitedly, my company were the only guests at the time). The pizza has a nostlagic feel, well seasoned and nice cheese that is glossy and caramelised, not quite the spongy, strechy and dry feel you tend to get in most places. The base is super thin, which seems to get a tad too crispy, not a dealbreaker, but if it could get a bit more chewy that would be amazing but thats personal preference. Recommend for pizza enjoyers as well as people in a hurry who would still like a filling meal.

Came here 2years ago and knew that returning to Sigulda this year wanted to come here again. The service is excellent and pizzas so filling. I recommend to try the Tutti Frutti pizza that has bananas on it. I ordered it 2years ago to try and half joking but now ordered it again this time as this is the only place I know that offers it and it is honestly delicious.

Hidden gem! Pizzas were just Perfect!!!! So good! We took Burrata and with tuna, both were so good. Burrata pizza I can say honestly was one of the best pizzas I have ever had. We had 11 month baby with us, they have babychairs and outside garden, big area, especially good families with kids. Cocktail was nice also. One thing with service was, that they forgot about drinks. Waited like 40 min at least, people who came after us got drinks earlier.. before us.. and we ordered just beer and mocktail. We noticed that we don’t have still drinks, and other clients had their drinks in 5 min after they ordered, so I told to bartender, I understood they forgot, so brought drinks and pizzas at the same time. But this thing got forgotten fast since Pizzas were just Amaaazing! I think reason was summertime, lot of clients and i saw only two guys working there, so lot of to do. Anyways, strongly recommending! Thank You!

Food is not that good and definitely not for the price, the interior in the restaurant is pretty clean and the view is nice but it's always too cold there. The pizzas aren't baked all the way through so they are really doughy. Even with a 50% off coupon it wasn't worth it.

Nice amount of fresh strawberries and blueberries on top of the waffles with a scoop of ice cream on the side. The waffles were great and topped with some syrup and chocolate. Interesting local jewellery makers, but unfortunately quite a limited selection and I was surprised they had literally nothing featuring amber, as this is something the Baltic states are known for internationally since at least Roman times! The mini museum was interesting and the last behind the counter very helpful, I was just disappointed not to be able to buy anything.
I've got myself a beautiful ring from there. Quality, style and color are amazing and prices are reasonable.
However, the sales assistant was not very polite and wasn't interested in me at all. Next time i'll order online because I didnt feel welcomed in the shop
