Waterfalls
Nestled in the stunning Hardanger region, Låtefossen Waterfall is a breathtaking natural wonder that captivates visitors with its twin streams cascading from Lake Lotevatnet. As these two powerful waterfalls converge beneath a charming 150-year-old stone bridge, they create an awe-inspiring sight that draws tourists and hikers alike. Just a short drive from Odda, this magnificent waterfall showcases the raw beauty of Norway's landscapes.
One of the beautiful place to visit, Låtefoss is full of nature's beauty. There are 3 different waterfalls there, two of them are just side by side. A rich of waterfalls. There is a kiosk just beside if two waterfalls and parking spot is there too. You can buy souvenirs and snacks and coffee. The whole area is a beautiful place and much more peaceful. A must visit place in Norway.
Maqsood A — Google review
For the best view, walk down the right side of the parking lot, opposite the falls. You’ll get a nice view with the stone bridge. If you’re on the bride, it’s difficult to get both falls together because they spread apart.
Kiara — Google review
Another unique and beautiful waterfall in Norway. There is a small kiosk beside it for souvenirs as well. Just have to be careful as their isn't that much parking and the road to cross to get to the falls and back is narrow and bust with cars.
Jehangir S — Google review
Fantastic free spot to see the waterfalls. Parking is an absolute nightmare so you're better off parking up or down the road and walking.
Jamie M — Google review
Extraordinary sight. It's a must see and worth every détour. You can feel the power and might of the waterfall while getting very close to it.
Jad M — Google review
A hidden gem you will missed if you don’t google it. Happens to past by and we stop to see the magnificent water fall. Worth your stop for pictures.
Casey S — Google review
Amazing waterfalls! Recommend to visit! That’s was wow effect.
Ievgen K — Google review
We visited in early zseptember just after heavy rains so the falls were spectacular. Very popular tourist place.

2Trolltunga Hike Starting Point

Hiking area
The Trolltunga Hike Starting Point is an adventure that promises breathtaking views, even when the weather isn't cooperating. If you begin your journey from P2, be prepared for a challenging 13.5 km trek, with the first segment being a steep paved road. For those looking to ease their hike, booking a shuttle to P3 is highly recommended since parking there isn’t available and it allows you to focus on the trails instead of roads.
100% the best hike I’ve ever done - nonstop 360 panoramic views, becomes worth the effort once you see the troll tongue come into view. Started from P2, worth the up hill exertion and keeps you warm for the rest of the hike. 27km in just under 7 hours, maybe an hour of breaks in total. Rain and snow in early September, bring layers!
Reece R — Google review
Nice hike with an amazing view. The hike is definitely worth it, even though it was longer than expected. We parked at P3, which was pretty expensive (80€ including the road toll). I would recommend parking at P2 and taking the shuttle to P3.
EELOL — Google review
An amazing experience! We hiked it ourselves with no guide. The trail is marked clearly with poles and red marks of T, throughout the way. If you follow the marks you won’t get lost. Pack a lot of water and snacks! Bring waterproof and wind proof clothing, the weather changes unexpectedly. I also didn’t think to pack Vaseline because of the strong winds my face hurt a little. The only problem is the parking. If you are staying at the Trolltunga Cabin the parking is in P3 book in advance for parking because it only has 30 spots. We stayed in Trolltunga hotel and drove to P2 229 parking spot, you pay there about $55 USD. You take the shuttle to P3. Overall the best experience and stunning views! Definitely doable for the average person, I don’t think you have to be super fit. It took us about 8:45 hours that’s including 2 hours total of stopping for breaks. As long as you are prepared and take breaks you’ll be fine.
Michelle T — Google review
We had bad weather but we still decided to make the trek, started from parking lot 3. Tickets should be reserved in advance for the bus to take you up to parking lot 3, which makes it a ton easier then starting from parking lot 1. We had to pay twice for the bus, to take us up and down. Hike was fantastic, long but great, a total of 20 kilometers from P3 with about a 1000 elevation. Even though it was foggy and rainy but it was amazing nonetheless.
Huss H — Google review
Incredible hike and views even on a cloudy day. If you leave from P2 (which has limited parking) it is a 13.5km hike (note the first 3.5km is on a paved, steep road). If possible I recommend you book a shuttle online up to P3 (where there is no parking) so that you hike only trails. The hike is not easy. It is steep and has many ascents and descents. It is rocky and at times snowy. I recommend wearing water proof shoes and water resistant pants. You must be in good physical condition for the hike. Take your time and enjoy the incredible scenery.

Trolltunga - The Devil's Tongue in Norway. I would like to share some basic information for those who want to travel to this place on their own. Before going, I searched for information from shared articles and reviews, but it was a long time ago. So I also collected information from those articles to get there on my own. On the first day, I flew to Bergen Airport at 9:30 am. Check-in and baggage claim were also quick. Then move to the train ticket area (underground on the 3rd floor). We have 2 ways to buy tickets: - 1 is to buy directly at the train waiting area. There is information available on the ticket machine, you can pay by card, convenient. - 2 is to buy on the Entur app and pay directly by card. You can also buy tickets on the Skyss billett app and track the flight schedule on the skyss reise app. Moving from the airport to Bergen bus station is still in the same zone, so a ticket is 49NOK (about 41 minutes). Then I bought a bus ticket on Entur to travel from Bergen Bus station to Odda Bus station for 129NOK. Take bus 930 at 11:55-14:50. At the bus station, there are columns N, O, P, so it's quite easy to find where the bus is parked. There are 3 trips every day: 8:55; 11:55; 21:00. On Saturday, there is only 1 trip at 8:55. For those of you traveling from Oslo, you can also check the train time on the app to get information. When you arrive at Odda, depending on which area you book a room in, you can choose to book an additional bus ticket. You should buy food and energy for the next day's hiking. I booked a room in Tyssendal (P1) so I bought an additional bus ticket 990 from 17:25-17:30. Note that on weekends in Odda, supermarkets are closed. So it is very difficult to buy food. About booking a shuttle bus to get to the starting point of the hike. There will be points P1 P2 P3. 1. Odda Busstation - Skjeggedal (P2): 200NOK Buy tickets: trolltunga-shuttle The bus picks up around Odda and points along the way to P2 so it is very convenient. I picked up at P1 so the ticket was 100NOK. There are 2 trips at 5:30 and 7:00. For this bus, you can also buy and pay on the bus (if there are seats available). 2. Skjeggedal (P2) - Meligatop (P3): 150NOK Buy tickets: trolltunga-shuttle The section from P2-P3 is about 4km with continuous vertical slopes and sleeves. Consider buying tickets to save energy for the journey. Then you will reach the starting point of the hike, which is 10km (one-way). There will be signs and markings along the way, so it is easy to recognize. I went alone, so I was not afraid of getting lost. There are many streams of drinking water along the way, so you can get more, no need to bring much water. When you finish and return to P3. You can also walk back down or buy a shuttle bus ticket at the 2 websites above. - P3-P2: 14:30; 16:00; 17:30 -> 150NOK - P2-P1: 15:00; 16:30; 18:00 -> 100-200NOK. For those who travel by car, go straight to P2, there is a parking lot and pay at the automatic counter. Here are a few things to note: - The best time to go is from 1/6 to 30/9. I went on 9/6 so there were few people, not too crowded. You should book a hotel and shuttle bus in advance. I arrived at trolltunga at 9am so it was still cloudy and foggy so the pictures were not very nice. Wait until noon when it was sunny, it would be better. Depending on your physical strength and time, you can book a shuttle bus for the afternoon back to Odda and P1. You should prepare shoes, jackets, raincoats and related personal items for a good hiking trip. The weather changes very quickly. Because when I went, it was raining, snowing and the wind was very strong. A few lines to share for a good and successful trip. If you have any questions, please comment below, I will share with understanding. 😀😀

Amazing hike, 20 km in total, not hard for experienced tourists, breathtaking views are along the whole trail. The trail is well marked and is very convenient to walk. Must do in Norway!
Anastasiia Z — Google review
A great hike, with great views and a difficult one. 20 km total, but 27 if you won't take the bus from the bottom to the starting point.

Fast food restaurant
The grill Odda-Grillen is a great place to get your food on the go. They have a wide variety of dishes for you to choose from, and their hot sauce is delicious. The seating facilities are also great, with plenty of room to sit and relax.
Super!! The guys there were very friendly. They even put on the Ragnarok series just for me. I had a giant pizza, and it tasted great and was very well priced. It's definitely a great and famous place. Alejandro from Mexico
DVG — Google review
It was fine. The large burger is actually really large and tastes pretty good! But the portion of fries is pretty average and the prices are pretty high (even though I don't have a good grasp of Norwegian prices yet, I think €48 for a medium and a large average-quality-fastfood burger menu is a LOT)
Tom E — Google review
the kebap plate was delicious. cut and prepared differently than the standard kebap meat. the fries were crispy and the two sauces had great flavor.
Pascal J — Google review
Dry burger with corn(!), tasteless cheese, and the distinct feeling that someone forgot to season both the food and their life. The fries were the only thing that saved the meal – and that says a lot. I'd rather grill the local seagulls than set foot there again.
Getmannen N — Google review
Great food, but not like super amazing. We got a burger from the place. Apparently with corn as standard (that was special) The price was high as must other things in this city.
Malthe H — Google review
Way too expensive for what you get. Boring fries cost 65 NOK for a very small portion. It’s better to go somewhere else
Finn C — Google review
I had a really great experience walking in this restaurant after a long hike
Sebestyén D — Google review
The pizzas do not look delicious at all. And the chess is burnt on the edges. However, it is delicious. Outside area is pretty cool. There’s even a small playground. Queue system is nice. You get a number and sit outside. They call your number via the speaker.

Nestled in the charming town of Odda, Glacier Middle-Eastern Restaurant, Bar & Cafe offers a delightful culinary experience that beautifully blends flavors from the Middle East with a touch of European flair. This inviting eatery is known for its diverse menu, featuring an array of vegetarian options that are both surprising and delicious. Whether you're looking to enjoy a casual meal or unwind with friends over drinks, Glacier provides a warm atmosphere perfect for any occasion.
During my 7 days stay at Odda I went to this restaurant almost everyday. The food was amazing! The salmon was delicious and well cooked. The restaurant was very clean and the owner was really cordial. The price was also reasonable. Highly recommended to anyone visiting Odda. It’s worth a try. Also if you sit outside on a sunny day, you get an amazing view of the Odda fjords.
Tasnim T — Google review
Fine restaurant, their menu offers a wide variety (Indian, middle eastern, vegetarian) and all the food is pretty good relative to other restaurants nearby. No wait, food is fairly quick, good portion sizes. WiFi is strong.
Cory A — Google review
Presentation was fantastic. Beef for kabobs is ground, shaped into cylinders and skewered. Nicely spicy on the outside and my favorite part of the meal. The hummus would have benefited from fresh garlic and lemon juice. It included some jalapeños.
Jim C — Google review
This food was delicious. Exactly the healthy pre-hike carb load I needed. I got some tips from the owner on how to replicate the chicken fatteh at home. The owner (sorry to say I didn’t ask for his name) was so lovely and chatty with all customers. We truly felt welcomed during our dinner. A must-visit if stopping for food in Odda
Nivetha S — Google review
As a family of six, with children who just want fast food, a vegetarian and parents who are craving for decent, quality food it’s always a challenge to find a good place. This was that place. Even their burgers and fries were homemade and delicious. Then the meals, my god, tasteful salad, juicy kebabs, tikka masala chicken… I was genuinely sad we had to leave Odda after a night. They have only about 15 dishes on the menu, a good combination of fast food international cuisine, but clearly all selected and made with fresh, tasty ingredients and craftsmanship. Also reasonable priced considering the friendly service and exquisite quality of food.
Anita D — Google review
AMAZING! Food was super delicious and very sweet man, good service! Very happy, would recommend
Liza W — Google review
Glad that I found this place on Google Maps. A must try if you are staying in the area or passing through like me. So good to have Asian food again and they do it well here despite offering a wide variety of different foods. They have vegan options too. To top it off, staff are friendly.
Daniel W — Google review
We were looking for a place to eat vegan but there were not a lot of options in Odda. We tried Glacier and the owner was so kind. He made us feel like everything was possible, we just had to sit down and he would help us. We ate very simple but delicious! I highly recommend the hummus with bread (order extra bread :)) and the noodles.

Chinese restaurant
Temaki restaurant
I can't believe why this establishment doesn't have a perfect rating! It was fantastic, and I was delighted with their selection of vegetarian dishes. The quality was outstanding! When I requested spicy food, it had just the right amount of heat and flavor. The main server was friendly and spoke English proficiently. This is genuinely some of the finest Asian cuisine I've ever tasted, without any exaggeration!
This restaurant deserves more than the rating it has on Google maps. Personell is friendly, the food good, enough and warm. (Ordered chicken schezuan which was mildly spicy, exactly as advertised) There's a small shop for your Asian products as well. Highly reccomended!
Marco J — Google review
Authentic Chinese food, all the dishes were delicious and fragrant, especially the fried egg with shrimp. Great service and hospitality too
Irene K — Google review
Great food. I had several dishes here. They will make it spicy too. You won't be disappointed. Superb. If anyone complains about this place they either don't like Asian food or haven't traveled abroad. The staff is friendly and care.

Food and service was excellent. Socially their red curry chicken is awesome

Really nice Chinese restaurant! Although most dishes are westernized, you can still get authentic Chinese dishes if you ask for it. The owner is very understanding and responsive. Free cake and coffee for guests, and the cake is really nice! Love it.
Yuting D — Google review
We had the kimchi fried rice here and it was exactly what we needed after a long day of hiking Trolltunga. They have plenty of options for vegans as you can substitute any meat for tofu and it’s easy to remove other ingredients as needed. The owner was also so kind and willing to work with us to figure out a payment solution and make sure we got fed after the [entire] banking system went down in Norway, such that we couldn’t pay with our credit cards as we had been, and we couldn’t withdraw cash from the ATM. We are so grateful for the excellent food and service at Asian Wok! Thank you!!
Anjali B — Google review
The tofu and veggies stir fry was awesome, highly recommended. My non-vegan partner thought it was even better than the chicken. Best vegan option in town, it's a shame they don't have more vegan options on the menu or we would have come back here every day of our stay in Odda.
Joyce M — Google review
I have no idea how this place isn't 5 stars! It was amazing and I was so happy for their vegetarian menu! It was excellent! When we asked for our food to be spicy is was so wonderfully spicy and flavorful! The main waitress was kind and spike English very well! When I say this is some of the best Asian food I have had I mean it without exaggeration! They were authentic with their ingredients and even included bamboo shoots and water chestnuts which a lot of other places skip on putting. I would highly look past negative reviews and give this place a try!

Visitors can expect a pleasant surprise during their fjord-hike trip as they indulge in the culinary delights served at Buer Restaurant. One of the best culinary experiences of our life. This “off the beaten path” restaurant is absolutely worth your time and money simply if you enjoy the art of food, but we also left full and satisfied. We also thoroughly enjoyed the hospitality and warmth of our server and the owner.

This place isn’t just a restaurant — it’s a vacation for your taste buds and your eyeballs! 😍 From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with a smile so warm I almost proposed. The food? So good I briefly considered licking the plate (don’t worry, I didn’t… I think). Add glacier views that look like a postcard and comfy indoor couches that practically beg you to nap — it’s like Mother Nature and a 5-star chef opened a spa together. Highly recommend you treat yourself before your stomach files a complaint! 😄 Also menu option is limited ,helps you decide what u want to settle for .🥂

A Culinary Gem with Exceptional Service : We ordered 3 courses with Wine Paring If you’re in search of a fine dining experience that seamlessly blends exquisite flavors with impeccable service, look no further. The staff, clearly well-trained and passionate about their work, add to the experience with their attentive, yet unobtrusive, service. The chefs here have a commitment to using only the freshest, locally sourced ingredients, and it shows in every bite. Each dish is a celebration of flavor, with every ingredient shining in its own right while contributing to a harmonious whole. The menu offers a thoughtful selection of dishes, each one crafted to highlight the season’s best, Even the simplest dishes are elevated to something truly special, thanks to the freshness of the ingredients and the skill of the chefs. In summary, this restaurant is a must-visit for anyone who appreciates fine dining. With delicious, freshly prepared food and exceptional service, it delivers an experience that is both satisfying and memorable.

Visited this magical place for cider tasting and lunch together with guests of Up Norway. We were flabbergasted by the incredible glacier-near setting, as well as the knowledgable pommelier who introduced us to local Hardanger ciders. We were introduced to the place’s history and people, loved the food, said hi to the farm animals, and never wanted to leave. Can’t wait to send more Up Norway travellers here! 🤗
Torunn T — Google review
3 main reasons to not miss this lovely place: 1) the authentic and local food is absolutely delicious 2) the historical place and the view on the Glacier is like nowehere else 3) the staff and the service is really professional and friendly Thank you for the warm welcome 😊 Please do not miss this!
William B — Google review
Exceptional dinner service. Host was knowledgeable and autumn menu was a great spread of local ingredients. Highly highly recommend if you are in Odda
Reilly H — Google review
Incredible meal with perfect pairings including three local ciders. We heard about lots of the ingredients locally sourced. Great to have a final drink by the cosy fire. The only part that wasn’t to my taste was the coffee at the end of the meal. Even though the dried waffle with cream and jam was sweet, the coffee was a little too bitter in balance for my taste. It is welcome to park the motorhome in the car park, so we did and took a walk up to the glacier the following morning. The road up is tight for very large vehicles, but not impossible (we’re 3.9m high and 10m long) We felt very fortunate to have the experience, as we didn’t plan ahead and I understand it is usually fully booked. Overall it was a perfect visit and we appreciate the wonderful hosts!

Thai Take Away Odda AS is a small restaurant located in the town of Odda, Norway. It offers a comfortable atmosphere with limited seating and friendly staff. Visitors have praised the delicious food, particularly the spring rolls and fried rice. The service is personalized, with staff willing to adjust the level of spiciness according to customer preferences. While some found the pad Thai too sweet, others appreciated the great flavors in their dishes.
Very tasty food. I felt like I was in Thailand. I would recommend the chicken with cashews! If you are going for the Trolltunga hike and you are hesitating about where to eat, go here! You won’t regret it.

This place is a 10/10!! Staff is friendly and smiley, the local is clean, a bit small but you can always take the food away!! There is a long table to sit and eat looking through the window. And of course the best is the food!! Tasty real Thai food, I have come more than once and I always try something new and it is always delicious! Best recommendation to eat something nice in Odda! ❤️

Great takeaway spot. We were very surprised and impressed with the taste, freshness and generous portion sizes for a quick take away in Odda. We had the Penang curry which had a great kick 🌶️ and the Pad Thai which was delicious. We didn’t try sushi but what was being served looks great. Not the best eat-in facilities but great if you’re after takeaway or something quick then it does the job. Would definitely eat here again.

Let me start with the ordering process was confusing and complicated. The lady who ordered cannot understand English and the lady who understands English cannot input order. It takes about 10 mins to put my order in. During the course I was forced to change my order because they ran out of cooked Sushi rice! With all being said, I still give them a five star because the food is REALLY GOOD!

The Norwegian Museum of Hydropower and Industry is located in the picturesque Odda municipality, offering a diverse range of natural attractions such as fjords, mountains, waterfalls, and glaciers. The museum provides a captivating journey through history with its impressive display of turbines and generators dating back to the early 1900s. Visitors can immerse themselves in the cathedral-like atmosphere while learning about the start of the hydro power plant through an informative film.
This place was super interesting! Our guide was super nice and told everything in a very interesting way! We paid 90 NOK for adult and 60 NOK for a student. We saw a film about the history of the power plant then got a great explanation by our nice guide. After that we went alone to the power plant itself and read all the great information, looked at the turbines and the control room. We spent about 2 hours and it was a very nice activity for a rainy day in the area when you can’t hike…

Admission fee is 100Kr and includes a guided tour (informative and lets you inside the control room) as well as access to the exhibits. Easily spent two hours looking at the historical exhibits. Staff suggested we visit the top (and offered a complimentary P1 pass) for the fjord views.

I visited the museum on 22nd August with my 2 children. This was good place to visit. There were lots of information on the history of the site as well as some good stories written by the workers. I would very much recommend a visit and is not expensive.

We spend a few days in Odda in March and went to the Norwegian Museum of Hydropower and Industry. We planned to stay an hour but in fact we stayed much longuer. The surprise was that the guide was viscerally passionate about norwegian history and geopolitic related to hydropower and industry. Thanks to her and to the quality of the museum we spend a great and fascinating time. The machinery is also spectacular with very big turbines and marble controle table :) We defintely recommend this museum wich is one of the attraction to see around. After the museum we followed the advices of the guide and went for a walk along the pipes up to Lilletop. Getting on top in winter is difficult but possible with an adequat equipement. The view at the top is mindblowing !!

Very good facility with friendly staff. We watched the film and joined the guided tour, both were informative and well organized. Photographers with tripods are welcome and can work without being rushed. The technology is no longer in operation but well preserved and not hidden behind bars or glass, which makes the visit clear and direct.
Jörg K — Google review
Definitely worth a visit! Also go for the guided tour at the Lilletopp station, where you get to walk in the old water tunnels! 😀 The movie and guided tour at the museum is a must! Great guide :)

We were here off season, when the guide is not available. Overall, the museum has so much potential, but very little was written on tables. The video is good for understanding the history, but the functioning of the electric plant itself is missing from the video. I would appreciate adding some model of the plant that would help to understand how it worked and also audio guide for off season visitors as often we were left to guess or ask AI. Otherwise, the personnel was nice and the building itself is stunning.

Vertshuset is an exceptional restaurant that offers a pleasant ambiance, reasonable prices, efficient service, and high-quality cuisine. With its excellent reputation, this eatery should not be missed. Located in a serene setting, the hotel provides a delightful atmosphere for families or friends to indulge in delicious meals. The food is truly remarkable; their pizza is particularly outstanding and other dishes are equally appetizing. In addition, the tap water infused with blueberries and strawberries adds a refreshing touch.
We walked in and learned the menu has transitioned to bar food and still decided to stay. The staff were great and super accommodating. We order fries, mozzarella sticks, and a pizza. Good thing I eat a lot because the serving sizes were great. The atmosphere was great too. Good music

We came in late for this place at around 9:50pm and they let us order a Viking's plate and a Vertshuset special pizza. We dined outside and enjoyed a nice sunset lake view. The food came very fast and it was very lovely. The viking's plate came with potatoes, some saltier than usual meat, sausages, salad and a dressing (which worked well for pizza crust actually). The pizza was hot and had jalapenos and pepperoni. The meal was delicious and we really needed dinner after a 6 hour drive, so incredibly thankful they let us order so late.

Looking for a nice place close to the Fjord we found the Vertshuset. The location has a great view to the Fjord and the sourrounding mountains. There are several seats and tables outside on the terrace. Due to the temperature we took a table inside. Unfortunately, our table had a lot of gums under it. The overall atmosphere is for sure like a pub, but for me personally it was too dark and as such the atmosphere was. There is a billiard table and as well a dart. Both not in a good condition, but usable. We also ordered some food. Like mentioned in previous posts the menu changed and you need to order at the bar. The food is convenient food - just heated up and as such the pizza we choose is rather expensive with 160kr. Especially as the service is just to bring the food to the table. Given all the other comments, I was really disappointed, because we expected something else. Serving convenient food in a pub is ok, but please not at such a price level. Some of the options were also sold out. The only real positive was the friendly service and the positive mood and smile of the staff. If you want to go for some drinks and beers and a snack the bar is well suited, but the price level is high for this kind of food.

Sentralbadet litteraturhus in Odda has a rich history, as it used to be a favorite spot of the German emperor during his visits to Norway before World War I. This historical building has been transformed into a literature house and offers a cozy and warm atmosphere. Visitors can enjoy cider tastings from the local producer Alde, delicious food including veggie burgers, and engaging conversations with friendly staff members who share interesting stories about Odda's vibrant culture.
We happened to come across this great and warm culture-place while it was raining and we were looking for a place that was open on saturday evening. The litteraturhus was open as a bar that night and perfect for this as it was so cozy! We enjoyed talking to the people behind the counter and hearing interesting stories about Odda, its lively culture and this place. They also recommended us a lovely local cider that we really enjoyed. There was good music, candlelight and even the possibility for diy-poems. We would love to be back soon!<3

We were hungry after our hike and this was the only place open at the time. If you absolutely need food this is okay, but otherwise avoid. For the quality of food you get, the prices are very expensive. Service was also very slow, in the end we went to the bar to order, because no one was coming and there were not a lot of people in the restaurant. On top of that we got charged 3 Euros for Mayonnaise that was delivered after the fries we had orderwd were already nearly done.
Meinewelt — Google review
Terrible service at this restaurant. My friend and I ordered smash burgers but got the wrong ones. The waiter didn’t acknowledge the mistake and refused proper compensation—offering just 15 % discount and a free cake. He acted as if it was our fault and created a very tense vibe. Eventually, after a long discussion and calling in a colleague (and talking right over our heads in their language we couldn`t understand) we were given the correct burgers. But when he served them, he felt the need for one last sarcastic comment: 'Four burgers for the price of two, you two are lucky today'”, which he didnt seem very happy about.

Went here yesterday and had the AC/DC pizza. The price was a bit high, but the pizza was at least good. Nice mix of flavours and the crust was also nice. We arrived late so they had stopped serving most things expect pizza/burgers. It was a decent place for pizza at the very least. Coffee was expensive and just tasted water to be frank..

When entering the restaurant we waited couple of minutes before being helped. No one came so we chose a table ourselves. When a woman came to our table she almost threw the menus to us. Food: 2 double decker burgers. They were flooding in frying oil. The fries were alright. To switch ketchup for mayo it costs 50NOK. Insane! We needed to go to the desk ourselves to be able to pay. No one answered immediately. Check your bill when leaving! The woman likes to charge more than you ordered. Dont go here The only good thing: the view

Hiking Trails
The trek to the mountain peak Rossnos is a lengthy but rewarding journey that takes approximately six hours, with four hours to reach the summit and two hours to return to town. The trail begins in a dense forest, which presents the most challenging part of the hike as it follows a small zigzag path. This section typically takes around two to three hours. Subsequently, there is a stretch of roughly 45 minutes to an hour and thirty minutes consisting of plains and rocks before reaching the glorious peak.
This hike is quite challenging, but definitely worth it! if you are interested in challenging yourself physically and mentally this is the hike for you. it’s quite long, it took me 4 h 30 min to reach the top and 2 h to go down but the journey is something special. you can also find wild raspberries and blueberries
Madalina D — Google review
Amazing hike with beautiful views, but the hike is quite challenging. Some sections are really steep and surface can get slippery. We started the hike earlier in the morning (to avoid hot midday hours) and it took us around 7h to get to the top and back. With some preparation the hike is absolutely worth it!
Martynas S — Google review
Really long walk but worth it. Takes around 6h (4 to the top, 2 to go back to town). It starts inside a forest (the hardest part) with a tiny path in zigzag. It takes +-2 to 3h. Then 45/1.30h of plains and rocks then here is the top and the view. You can see the city and the fjords plus the mountains with a big glacier and glacier lakes. I've been in July it was hot at the start (short and tshirt). On the top it was windy and cold. There was still snow. Bonus : yummy strawberries ! Double worth it.
Maxime C — Google review
A gorgeous hike, except the first part that goes through the forest. But when you emerge from it you will be greeted by breathtaking views and endless fields of blueberries and strawberries. Will take you some endurance to reach the top, also plan your time, it gets dark really fast and it's not pleasant to descent through the pitch black forest.

Trolltunga Lille Bakeri AS is a charming bakery nestled in a beautifully restored, century-old Jugendstil building in Odda. Its prime location means you're just a short stroll away from various shops, restaurants, and bars, as well as the tourist information center and shuttle bus stops to iconic sites like Trolltunga. The bakery offers an array of freshly made sandwiches that are both delicious and reasonably priced.
We saw that the sandwiches were done freshly and so they were also tasty. Kids tried the smoothies as well and also very good. And the bred we took home was also very good. We were very happy to get something good for average price. Only the atmosphere is a bot like sitting in a supermarket hallway. Unfortunately, outside was not an option as it rained cats and dogs.

(Translated by Google) A great little cabin in the middle of the forest, open to everyone! Books are available, and a place to relax and admire the view. A little more comfort (blankets, cushions) and a toilet would be great! (Original) Super petite cabane en plein milieu de la forêt, disponible à tous ! Des livres disponibles, de quoi se poser et admirer la vue. Un peu plus de confort (plaid, coussins) et des toilettes seraient top !

(Translated by Google) Lovely spot in the middle of the woods. You can park fairly close by (on the road), and the cottage is just a fifteen-minute walk away. It's a fairly steep walk through the woods, though. You can sit both inside and around the cottage.

Nasjonalmonumentet Elektra offers a fantastic view of the surrounding natural beauty, including glaciers, waterfalls, mountains, and fjords. It's an interesting place for a leisurely walk, suitable for families with children. Nearby parking with picnic tables makes it convenient to take a break and enjoy the scenery. However, camping is not permitted in this area. While the monument provides a nice view from one side, construction fencing obstructs the view from another angle.
Interesting place to walk, especially with children. Parking lot with tables for picknicks nearby. Worth to stop and have a rest pouse here. Unfortunately campingbis not allowed here.

Restaurant
Nestled in the heart of Odda, the Trolltunga Hotel Restaurant is a delightful culinary haven that promises an unforgettable dining experience. Guests can enjoy breakfast and dinner during their stay, with a buffet-style dinner offering a variety of meats, including succulent home-grilled pork and chicken. For those planning to hike the iconic Trolltunga, there's even an option to create a packed lunch from breakfast items. This hidden gem stands out for its breathtaking views and commitment to serving fresh, local ingredients.
A hidden gem and among the best food we have had in Odda! While a little expensive, the restaurant pleasantly surprised us with an incredible view and delicious, healthy, and fresh local food. The Asian salad and the deer were particularly delicious. A great place to come after a hike to relax and unwind- whether you are a guest in the hotel (like us) or just visiting from nearby.

The food was delicious, and had a great view 👍

Impressive menu and quite a nice service. We had the pea soup and the mozarella starters and then the deer and pork for mains. All flawless. Desserts had ice cream that appeared to be home-made all really good too, specially the toblerone fondant

(Translated by Google) We had breakfast and dinner for the two days we stayed at the hotel. Unfortunately, dinner was served as a buffet, so we couldn't choose a menu. However, there was a variety of meat, including home-grilled pork and chicken. And you can make a Trolltunga hiking lunch bag (a sandwich made by combining breakfast items).

(Translated by Google) A quiet and peaceful experience, good knowledge from the waiter and a pleasant and good experience. Great food, good flavors and good wine with the meal. The place is highly recommended. Remember! Book a table, you have to to experience the place. Forgot, the view is incredible, it must be experienced. (Original) En stille og rolig opplevelse, god kunnskap hos servitøren og en behagelig og god opplevelse. Flott mat, gode smaker og god vin til måltidet. Stedet anbefales på det varmeste. Husk! Book bord, det må du for å få oppleve plassen. Glemte, utsikten er utrolig, den må oppleves.

Fossen fosse is a breathtaking waterfall cascading down the mountainside into the stunning Sørfjord, located near Odda. This natural wonder can be easily admired from various vantage points, including boat tours that operate during the summer months. The sidersafari ferry offers an unforgettable experience as it approaches close enough for passengers to feel the refreshing mist of the falls.
Nature at its best, a magnificent waterfall running down the mountain at Måge /Odda into Sørfjord. The waterfall is a accessible / visible from a boat. The sidersafari boat ferrying on Sørfjorden (Odda - Lofthus-Odda) during the summer months stops ideally close to the waterfall such that the passengers /tourists feel and experience the mist from the waterfalls. A worthwhile trip when in Odda.

Gamle postvegen is a historic route that offers a picturesque journey through the snowy landscape. The trail provides stunning views of Sandvin and its surrounding waters, making it an ideal location for a leisurely walk. This scenic path is perfect for both solo travelers and those with furry companions, as the dry and clear weather during the last week of 2021 made for an enjoyable experience.
I walked this route in the last week of 2021. Luckily the weather was dry and clear, so walking in the snowy landscape was no problem for me or my dog. We had a clear view of Sandvin and the water.
