This was always my favorite store in Vineyard Haven but I just had a terrible experience. I bought a small gift - because it’s a gift shot - and asked if they had any gift bags. It could have been for purchase or even one with the store name on it. Woman at the register told me no and handed me a white paper envelope. Meanwhile, there are gift bags right behind her and some around the side. My husband walked out and asked what we could have possibly done wrong for 1. Her to be so short and 2. For her to lie to my face. Next time, I’ll keep my gift shopping to Edgartown.

The items are exquisite. The staff, on the other hand, are easily the snootiest you will find on the island. Second time of gone to make a purchase and not personable in the slightest. You must scream of wealth is my guess to get any kindness from them.

Rainy Day has a great selection of gifts for everyone..includes housewares and wonderful baby gifts! Great local crafts also

I bought a beautifully crafted snow globe for $40.00 that fogged up after 6 months and was unable to view the falling snowflakes . Very disappointed !

Cute spot in town to grab breakfast and/or coffee. I have popped in twice to get breakfast. The first time I had the overnight oats with banana and chocolate chip which I thought was a bit too chocolate chip heavy and the second time I got the yogurt granola parfait. The parfait was fine but the house made granola tasted a touch on the burned side to me and I do wish it came with some kind of fruit as well. Nice outdoor seating area as well as a small hot dish menu which I have not tried.

Ate here everyday for almost a week when I visited the island. My favorite was the Egg Sandwich - the homemade biscuit was so, so good! I also had the Spicy Peanut Bowl and Kimchi Fried Rice which were just okay. The Caesar Salad Wrap needs a little more Caesar dressing for flavor and it needs more lettuce so you're not biting mostly on tortilla wrap. Chicken Sandwich was good. As for the drinks, the Matcha Latte I did not care for, but Chai Latte and Hot Chocolate were good.

Stoped by on the breakfast, it was more than good. Waiting in line for 10-15 minute, and more 5-10 minutes for food, plenty of space to sit, inside or outside, better view and experience outside. Girls at counter are very capable and fast in their job, well done. Chairs outside isnt so comfortable. Great place to stop for breakfast, coffe and working on your laptop while enjoying the view of summer street and nice guests. I recomend Egg island, breakfast in bowl alternative, add more eggs because you wil get just one, avocado is great. Great place to meet nice people , girls. They offer breakfast, cofee, lunch, brunch, dinner, sweet pantries, cookies, you can buy island made products as coffe, meat,.. They have also ornaments, shirts, cups, and bunch of different things.

The BLT was very well done! I'd recommend it. It's a pleasant place in town to eat outside on a delightful summer day.

Hubby and I stopped by for breakfast. They had a small menu for breakfast and lunch but yummy choices! They had some gluten free bakery treats which was great for hubby!! I ordered bacon egg and cheese on a homemade English muffin. FYI they only have cheddar or goat cheese for cheese options. It was hot fresh and yummy. Hubby had the loaded hash browns and added scrambled eggs but no sour cream. When I opened the container to take a picture it was not what I was expecting but hubby said it was good. It must have been because he did not share!! We will be back tomorrow for the gluten free treats!!Hubby also had a medium roast coffee he said it was good but loves cream in his coffee but he has yet to find cream on the island.

The egg sandwich with goat cheese is incredible, and is huge!! The place is really nice and all staff were so friendly. This is a great place if you’re looking for a very yummy breakfast. Highly recommend!

Elizabeth Eisenhauer’s much sought after collections are bold and colorful ! Her antique jewelry case is filled with terrific pieces too! My husband covets the oversized gorgeous schooners occasionally on loan throughout the community or private homes! Soo much fun in Eisenhauer Gallery!!

I have had the opportunity to visit Eisenhauer Gallery the last three summers on Martha’s Vineyard. I love the art there, but I’m mainly a jewelry-crazed person. They have some of the most beautiful and unique pieces. I’ve purchased 3 necklaces, a bracelet, and a pair of earrings. When I wear one of these, I always receive compliments. I’ve enjoyed working with Elizabeth and Amy and hope to buy more jewels in the future. 😍

Eisenhauer Gallery is in my top 3 favorite galleries to visit when I am "on island" visiting annually in October. I was crushed this year to miss my visit due to a medical condition. The upside is, I am on their email list and frequently get updates on the artists and their latest works. This brings me back to the island an uplifts me until the next visit - whether virtually or in 2023!

If art is inportant in your life, like it is for (me) and some people, they this Gallery owned by Elizabeth and Paul is sertanly wort a visit. They feature more that 60 national and international artists. Amy, (a.k.a.) wonderwoman is sorting out sellections and connecting a lot between artist and clients. Great inspiration

Great store, lots of charm and character. A good selection of books and very friendly and helpful staff. We always stop in on our first day of our holiday and buy some books for the week.

This quaint bookstore is located just a short walk from the ferry. There was a large variety of trinkets and books for all ages and reading levels. Bookmark the cat was super cute and friendly- requesting attention from anyone that passed by.

The store itself is absolutely beautiful, and the items inside are gorgeous. However, I found it surprising that while the website shows a range of price options, this location only carried the highest-priced items. It felt a bit like they were taking advantage of the tourist crowd. Great customer service and very welcoming young man.

Was a main reason for the visit!! My son wanted authentic Vineyard Vines ware!! the staff here are so friendly and helpful!! I just wish they would considered giving a small discount for disabled vets & / or law enforcement.. we would definitely return on our next trip to the vineyard!! We have also visited the outlet store located at Mashantucket outlets!!

Got some great items, one of which was a waterproof jacket that was put to the test during my vacation. Made three separate trips to the store because of the helpful staff and service.

I think it's offensive the way they air condition their store really cold with the doors open all summer. When you look at where these fast fashion disposable clothes are sourced from you can see where they stand on ethics and sustainability, but still in the midst of climate change it's insensitive.

If I could give zero stars, I would. The owner of this establishment is RACIST. Our 4 teen boys excitedly went to the shop to rent bikes. The boys went inside to see the electric bikes and 2 of them sat in them. Both mothers were present. The owner told his workers to get control of this HORDE and proceeded to raise his voice to our boys and told them to step outside. I then asked if they were being unruly to which he replied yes because they touched the bikes which were for sale. I informed him that the appropriate response is to speak to the parents who are present who will then handle the situation. First, four boys do NOT make a horde. This is dehumanizing and disrespectful. They were not disorderly just curious. Secondly, you are not their parent, caretaker, nor in charge of them. You do not usurp a parent’s authority as you have NO RIGHT to speak to their children. You are not their guardians. You own no one! Lastly, when given appropriate feedback which is calm and thoughtful, accept it and do not make poor excuses based on hyperbole and prejudice. If you see black boys as a disorderly horde, you do not deserve the economic support of our community. Let us NOT support bigotry, arrogance, and the dehumanization of Black boys. For Edgartown bike rentals, rent from Martha’s Vineyard Bike Rentals or Edgartown Bike rentals!!

Rented 2 adult bikes for the day. Great experience overall. Lock, helmet but most importantly bikes were in excellent condition. Owner on site and engaged with staff and working on bikes. Price was reasonable and in fact cheaper than the competitors. The staff members were polite and offered advise about bike routes. Will be back to try their electric bikes. Would highly recommend!

The best! I highly recommend. The owner was so so nice - gave us advice on where to bike, and when I accidentally knocked the chain loose on my bike, fixed it and let me use his special soap to get the grease off my hands. He was also very flexible on the bike return, letting us lock them up outside after hours so we can didn’t miss out on the ride we wanted to do. They were great! Get your bike rental here!

What a great shop. The owner was working on bike assembly when we came in to check on seats. Gave great info on seats AND bike fitting/ size even though he knew we were from out of state and couldn't buy from him. So accommodating. Prices are very competitive. They can ship too.

Stefanie Wolf Designs in Oak Bluffs is a perfect treat-yourself stop and a go-to for gifts. The jewelry is beautifully made: colorful, thoughtful, and easy to wear every day, plus there are plenty of price points for quick presents or something special. The staff is genuinely amazing: welcoming, knowledgeable, and great at helping you find exactly the right piece without any pressure. A bright, happy shop that always delivers. ANd they even have permanent jewelry offerings, which is super cool.

I visited Martha's Vineyard recently on a trip to the East Coast and this was by far my favorite shop! I spent the most time (and money!) here than any other place (and that includes the shops I visited on Cape Cod and Newport!) I bought two pairs of earrings and three bars of soaps, though I wish I had bought more! Thank goodness for the website! I absolutely love the earrings (I got the crystal dangle earrings in red and full circle stud earrings in avocado) and have gotten many compliments on them.

I purchased a bracelet with a charm while shopping on vacation. Upon returning home and wearing my bracelet for the first time, the charm came off and was lost. I contacted the store and was thrilled with their prompt and amazing customer service. It may be a while before I make it back to the store again, but I will be a customer online moving forward!

Years ago my best friend gave me a gorgeous necklace. I didn't know where she got it from but I have always loved wearing it. Imagine my surprise when I walked into Stephanie's shop and saw it. As I looked around, I saw dozens of things I would love to buy but since I am mostly a ring person, I bought two rings. I love them both. Thank you Stefanie! I will be back.

Update from previous review. I purchased several items, one being a necklace that recently fell apart because of a break of the plastic wire used. I contacted them to see if it could be restrung. I was told to bring it in but I live in California. No other option was given, like mailing it. I lived the necklace, received compliments when I wore it and referred others for her unique designs. I don't think I'll be doing that again.

Will never patronize this store based on the loud and disrespectful behavior of a staff member. We were seated outside for dinner at detente and she proceeded to yell and play and swear loudly during most of our dinner. She showed zero decorum or even basic courtesy to her fellow business owners and their customers. When the people she was cavorting with left, she ran up and hugged our waiter. In a complex with many different types of businesses, if you can’t behave in a professional and respectful manner, you not only damage your own business, but that of your neighbors.

Pricing is good for the island. Did buy a good bottle for a great price. So know your prices and you can find a bottle of well priced bourbon. His prices are cheaper than other liquor stores on MV.

Went here today for a 4th of July party. Everyone was super friendly and helpful. They provided some delicious oysters and Champagne for free and had great wine recommendations.

This is the wine store you wish you had around the corner from your house. Selection is excellent, but more importantly the staff are outrageously knowledgeable and extremely personable. Was blown away with this place, it is a must visit if you are on Martha’s Vineyard!

Agree with other reviews on poor attitude. Staff was having a (private?) happy hour of Sapporo in wine glasses at 5pm on a Friday; never acknowledged my presence; mumbled what my tab was for my purchase…I’d have bought more from the nice selection of spirits and wines, but please…

I am so disappointed to even be writing this review. Condescending doesn’t even begin to describe the service we received. We asked for a dry red under $15 (prepared to buy a full case) and the owner scoffed at us and said no one in 15 years had asked him that question, and that his “clientele” doesn’t drink that type of wine. Then proceeded to direct us to an $11 bottle of red (so they clearly had bottles in our price point). You are better off taking your business to the airport liquor store where there are better prices and a much better experience.

My “go to”place to shop for designer denim, dresses, and tops. As well as unique items and accessories. You’ll be sure to find something for yourself each time you walk through the door. Summer, fall, and winter looks- a great year round place to shop for both locals and visitors.

Tried on a jacket and the employee (a guy) asked if I had paid for that already? I was standing in front of a mirror and clearly said no I was trying on. Treated me like if I was going to steal something and I was ready to buy 3 items, but due to my bad experience here decided not to give them my money. Store downstairs was really messy and disorganized. Store upstairs was a better experience and sales associates were polite and helpful.

I recently purchased a Yeti 65 hard cooler.. The Green room staff was very helpful in answering all my questions and getting me the cooler that was right for my off grid lifestyle.. thank you I can't wait for my next time at Green Room..

I was here the first week of May 2021... I had a great shopping experience in Shirt-Tales. The lady that was working in the early hours of the store opening was very friendly and professional. The selections of sweatshirts, baseball caps, and many t-shirts were tough to choose from. Neat and organized well, very inviting. The island vibe is like being in Puerto Rico 🇵🇷 or Turks and Caicos 🇹🇨

Stopped in on a whim and left with the softest Vineyard tee. I was helped by Cristal who made the whole experience feel easy and warm. She even gave me local recommendations! It’s a cozy spot with real charm, definitely worth a visit if you’re in Edgartown.

I am so grateful to the whole team at Claudia! My family and I had just arrived in Vineyard Haven for our vacation, and our 12 year old realized he had lost his gold bracelet which held extreme sentimental value. I stopped in at Claudia in Vineyard Haven and the woman there knew she did not have what I was looking for, but kindly called over to the Edgartown location. They sent over a photo of a gold bracelet that could potentially work, so off we went! The ladies at the Edgartown store could not have been any more kind, knowledgeable, or helpful. We ended up purchasing a different bracelet (and much more expensive), but we felt the price was more than fair and most importantly, our little man was over the moon thrilled. This new piece will hold even more sentimental value for him and he'll forever remember that he got it on a family vacation to Martha's Vineyard. Thank you all so very much!

I wasn't greeted or spoken to during my visit and I spent almost 10 minutes looking. (It's a pretty small store and had multiple associates) Other than that their product selection is wonderful with a good variety of gemstones, metals, and styles.

I absolutely love this place. I bought my 1st piece of jewelry here in summer of 1999 (a giant gold island MV necklace) for my then summer romance/now wife and every year since for 25yrs I have returned in June and Christmas to search out unique items. The wrapping paper and skill is pure artistry in unto its self. She has kept every box/paper/ribbon. Love this place. 🫶❤️

Looking for a charm bracelet and charms in Claudia’s jewelry establishment yesterday. My husband and I were completely ignored. The salesperson never acknowledged us. I found my charm bracelet and charms in CB Stark Jewelers. The customer service was amazing!

I always love popping into Katydid whenever I am in Edgartown! I especially love her custom designed MV pajamas for myself or my daughters and the sweet baby onesies are the perfect gift every time!! Her clothing selections are well-curated and the staff is always helpful, knowledgeable and goes above and beyond to help guide me to the perfect item every time. Always an enjoyable experience and a “must stop” when in Edgartown!!

Every year when I arrive on the Vineyard, Katydid is always one of my first stops. It is the perfect place to shop for any occasion. The staff is very helpful picking out the perfect pieces with out being too pushy. Katydid also has a nice size range. In addition to all of Katydid’s clothes, she has lots of accessories - definitely pop in the next time you are on the island.

My favorite boutique on the Vineyard! Tons of super cute tops and sundresses with a nice selection of slightly more formal styles perfect for an event or a wedding. They also have a huge selection of Roller Rabbit PJs including baby and kids which is my go-to when I need a nice gift. Everyone I've met on the sales team is awesome with the right mix of helpful and honest. (No one trying to tell you it looks good when we both know it doesn't lol) The owner Kate is usually there and couldn't be nicer or more knowledgeable. Katydid is one of those local stores there unfortunately aren't a lot of anymore where you know you'll always find something special. The only drawback is it's a little small inside with lots of options so it's worth taking your time to really look through the racks. I always recommend this store to my friends heading to the Vineyard, definitely a "must shop!"

I was looking for a birthday gift for a 7 year old girl who loves clothes and shoes. I went into Katydid and the owner Kate was so helpful and managed to help me find the perfect set of pj’s that were a major hit at the party! Katydid has something for everyone and I will definitely visit the shop again and again!

This tiny boutique is packed with bright colorful dresses and tops. KatyDid is a joyful reflection of the owner Kate’s eye for color and pattern. And it’s the best place to find a summer dress! You’ll also find clutches, toppers, undies, pjs and a little bit of jewelry.

Visited the store on vacation. Accidentally knocked 4 yetis off the back counter wall and was forced to purchase two due to “scratches”. Very disappointing as the shelf was packed with yetis and the store forced the purchase where the scuffs weren’t evident they were even from falling off their shelf. No product should be damaged falling a foot of the shelf.

Horrible experience this summer. Avoid this place at ALL cost. They will do anything for a quick buck and their staff is not trained to use credit cards appropriately.

Worst donuts I have ever eaten. The apple fritter was just ok better than the donuts. Coffee too was below average. Selling donuts from the backdoor is just a selling gimmick. Must say good strategy to sell very underrated donuts

Walked here for a late night donut craving. Luckily the line was short but they were out several of the most popular flavors, although they still had apple fritters. This spot is literally operated out of the back door of the business, inside of the parking lot. It's nothing fancy but it's definitely a cool vibe and a novel idea. Flavors we tried: Honey dipped, cinnamon, buttermilk and the infamous apple fritter. The honey dipped tasted like a regular glazed donut - nothing unique. The cinnamon was good, and so was the buttermilk. The apple fritter received good reviews. I plan to return to try other flavors. Overall everything was good and I recommend this place.

Fresh, Fun, and Delicious! We stopped by Backdoor Donuts one morning to try them fresh, and it was absolutely worth it. We ordered a dozen donuts to get a good variety, plus added two apple fritters and a danish to round things out. Every bite was tasty, soft, and flavorful, but the apple fritters really stood out—warm, perfectly spiced, and generously portioned. It was such a fun and memorable experience, and you can really tell these are made fresh with care. Whether you’re looking for a sweet morning treat or just want to experience a Martha’s Vineyard staple, this is a spot not to miss. We’ll definitely be back for more fritters and donuts next time!

Yeah, I’m fritters were awesome. Big chunks of apple and the glaze was outstanding. We also got the cinnamon donuts which were just like com Back in New Jersey which were soft get crispy on the outside. Absolutely delicious highly highly highly recommended.

I am 60 years old and I have had a lot of apple fritters in my life(it's my favorite donut) but THIS...THIS WAS ABSOLUTELY EPIC! On a level all by itself. If I had a magic wand, I couldn't make an apple fritter better than this! I am not exaggerating, one of the best things I have ever eaten. Good thing I live in Oklahoma or I would gain 50 lbs eating this regularly, cause oh, I would!

First time visiting Vineyard Haven. We arrived from Edgartown via bus early and decided to grab a bite for breakfast here. Order at the counter and they deliver to you. We sat outside to enjoy the people watching while eating. The food was good. Typical breakfast. Was a nice way to start the day.

Market section in front has lots of great options, including locally made items. Menu options are quite varied which is nice. The quality of the food is good, but not great. Fresh baked pastries are available but limited. They do have bagels too. Coffee is good and baristas know their game. They use locally roasted beans from East West I believe which is also nice. Front staff not very friendly.

Well stocked store with fresh menu, including breakfast all day, and cafe. We ordered a Red White and Green as well as a CAB, both prepared quickly and delicious! We also devoured a bag of the park truffle chips made in house. Ample seating inside, and they had a restroom for customers. Highly recommend!

I had a great experience at Waterside Market last summer, so I was excited to return this year, but unfortunately, it didn’t live up to expectations. The service felt apathetic this time around no greeting when it was my turn and the vibe was a little unkind overall. The Italian sandwich, which I loved last year, was poorly assembled and didn’t quite justify the high price point. The cold brew was OK, but not as smooth or flavorful as I remembered. Could’ve just been an off day, so I’m willing to give it one more shot, but definitely left disappointed this time.

The breakfast options were fresh, flavorful, and perfectly portioned. The bagels were toasted just right, and the pastries were a wonderful treat. The lattes were expertly made—smooth, rich, and just the right balance of coffee and milk. The staff was friendly and efficient, making the whole experience seamless. If you're in the area, Waterside Market is a must-visit for a delicious, quick breakfast with amazing coffee. Highly recommend!

Nice spot to grab a quick bite. Can get crowded during peak times, so there may be limited seating. Also, this is not a sit down and order type of restaurant. You place the order at the counter and then pick it up. I recommend securing your seating first (when you can), if it's crowded. The location is great and the menu is simple but sufficient enough to have something for everyone. They serve breakfast all day. The blueberry pancake is wonderful, and the traditional breakfast is good. I appreciate the nitrate free bacon. I didn't love the sweet potatoes in the breakfast potatoes, but they were okay... Not bad, just not my preference for breakfast potatoes. The food was very fresh, and cooked to order. I appreciate that as well. My husband ordered the BLT with avocado and a fried egg. He really enjoyed it. They also have a nice assortment of baked goods, drinks and coffee. The iced latte was delicious and refreshing, and the strawberry, dragonfruit juice was light and refreshing as well. The location is pretty central to everything in Vineyard Haven. I was not disappointed in my experience, although I thought it was a sit down and order joint at first. Nonetheless, good food, nice atmosphere, so I would definitely go back.

Cute fudge shop in town. Have tried lots of the flavors and in my opinion the ones worth getting are the chocolate, double chocolate and chocolate with walnuts. Have purchased several other flavors to bring home to friends but those 3 are the only flavors people end up eating and I have had to toss the rest. That being said people have really loved the chocolate flavors!

Very disappointing. Bought 2 bars of fudge for $27.00. Heard it was great but I disagree. It was hard(not soft as fudge should be) was sooo sugary sweet. The sugar crystals were crunchy in my mouth. Fudge should be creamy and soft not crunchy and hard. The gal there said it can last 3 months outside fridge or 6 months in freezer. Ya right. Went in the garbage.

I once ordered $80+ online. I received a call from the shop to verify the shipping address. Despite the verification, someone enjoyed that fudge in a different state! Even having proof of the wrong delivery address, I was only offered 20% off my next order. Really? No, Thank you, Mr. Manager - your Customer Service has lost a customer forever.

We are thrilled with our decision to hire Mel and the team at Black Sheep to cater our 75-person wedding. The entire process - from the first call down to the last bite - was exceptional. Mel was extremely flexible, worked within our budget, and made us feel taken care of the entire time. The food was absolutely outstanding! We received countless compliments from our guests about everything from cocktail hour to the main course. Not only was the food delicious, but the portions were generous. The team also performed extremely well under weather challenges (the day featured torrential rain and wind). Highly, highly recommend Black Sheep for your next event!

Black Sheep catered our 75-person wedding, and were fantastic to work with. Our guests keep talking about how good the food was. Mel and her team were so organized and on top of everything throughout the planning and the big day. They made sure my husband and I got our food first, kept checking if we needed anything, and made the whole thing seamless. They even went the extra mile to make sure my gluten and dairy intolerant husband had apps and dinner he could eat. I can't recommend them highly enough.

They have a nice selection of large individually wrapped cookies that sell for just under $4 per cookie. Although they might look attractive, they are among the worst tasting cookies that I've ever had; we actually took a couple bites and had to throw them in the trash! Not sure about the other baked goods. Felt a little ripped off with the cookies. Maybe they need to add some flavor to them.

I love everything about this shop ! The food is delicious and consistently good but also creative with new specials every day and the desserts are out of this world ! The store is beautiful with lots of reasonably priced merchandise and best of all is the amazing staff that is always so helpful and makes you feel so welcome.

Mel and the Black Sheep team made us feel special from the moment we first spoke to them about catering our 275-person wedding and they exceeded all expectations. We wanted to intermix New England, Mid-Atlantic, and Italian fare and the team brought their own ideas to knock it out of the park. We had many people say it was the best food they have ever had at a wedding. There were many highlights but some that especially stood out were the raw bar, grazing table, and ensuring our vegetarian guest felt taken care of. Mel and her team also made sure we actually got to eat the apps and entrees at our wedding which was one of our favorite parts of the day! We could not say enough great things about their customer service, creativity, and execution.

Absolutely appalling! We arrived at 9:30am and there was not a member of staff anywhere. Animals were calling for food and in poor conditions. A woman finally arrived at 9:45 and was scurrying around to feed the animals and couldn’t even say hello to us. Every thing was closed up and lights off. All the animals were stood in manure. Trustees you should be ashamed. I grew up on a farm and have worked in farming my whole life from beef, dairy, sheep, chickens and pigs and there is no excuse for animals to live in these conditions. If I could give you 0 stars I would, I’m seriously considering reporting this to the authorities for animal welfare.

We did a pie making class with Melissa. This was the worst cooking class we had ever been to. She showed up late, and then proceeded to give us the recipe for the wrong pie. She didn’t give us any instructions on how to make a pie. She just make her own pie and just announced what she was doing. She never went around to check on anyone else. She spent 20 minutes crimping the edges on her own pie, while ignoring everyone else. To top it all off, she undercooked all of our pies because she was in a rush to get out of there. It was a total waste of $120

Great place for families. Lots to see. Nice farm stand where you can purchase fresh meat and vegetable plants. Be aware that the dirt road, Aero Ave, has very high speed bumps that are difficult for regular sedans to pass over. Was worried about damaging the undercarriage and would not return unless driving our 4x4 vehicle next time.

Such a good place to bring kids, see animals and learn about a farm. They offer classes and camps as well!

Children love the experience of getting to work with and learn about animals on a farm. I find it especially great for kids who are growing up here agriculture such a important part of our community!

Went here for Sheepapalooza a few weeks ago. Approachable and knowledgable staff. The animals seem very happy here! Can’t wait to go back!

Chef Deon is a great cook. 👍 I've had his spread on Thanksgiving. He feeds the community free of cost. I recently stopped by and ate with my sister. We enjoyed our food.

I love to pick up picnic food from here! They have awesome hours and are open at days and times where others aren't. Their menu is diverse and have specials changing. Such a locals favorite, and Chef Deon does amazing things for the community.

We got the pineapple glazed ribs (so yummy) which came with collards and corn bread. The collards were lacking flavor and were a bit bitter, and the corn bread has jalapeño bits in it, which would be nice if you like that but I’m not a fan of jalapeño flavor. We got the conch chowder as well which was more like a stew but it was delicious. For dessert the chocolate rum cake, which was rich and boozy (perfect rum cake)

Ordered some food here during the MVAAFF and it was okay (overpriced and kinda bland) but they failed to tell us that there was already food available for festival guests which turned out to be significantly better that the cod fritters I had ordered. The fish was light and flaky, rice was well cooked and seasoned and the chicken was flavorful. Overall the plate saved the rating. The bartender ended up calling last call early cause she got annoyed and yelled at a customer so that was weird, especially for an event. Not sure if I'd return.

Okay — I'm blown away. Down home genius. Without equal in humility, taste and talent. This Jerk Chicken is a ravenously delicious compulsion. Insane in the membrane! I feel like I just tripped off the boat onto any one of Chef Deon's three islands and landed in a 3 star backyard brilliance. Go get some now in order to recalibrate your mouth, concept and even sense of fealty to this deeply rooted plate of food.

The plantains are soooo amazing. We also got the orange spiced duck and it was great. Crispy skin with a yummy glaze.

So glad I was able to eat here before he retires 9.21.25! I ordered blackened tuna a d double broccoli. Absolutely delicious!

We had a blast exlporing the pond with all the birds and sea life. All of the people we dealt with were personable, friendly, and knowledgeable. The price for 2 hrs on single kayaks seemed more than reasonable. I'll definitely be back when I return to the vineyard.

These guys were great. When we arrived at the drop-in location in the morning, our kayaks were already on shore, waiting for us. After a brief safety demo, we launched.Chic the owner was super friendly and attentive.

Chick and her team are always the best. Super flexible and communicative. The weather didn't quite work out for my planned ocean paddle to Oak Bluffs but Chick found a great alternative and it was a fantastic day on the water. Highly recommend.

My daughter and I had a wonderful experience kayaking yesterday at Island Spirit Kayak. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Our tour guide gave us 3 tour options, which was unexpected. He was patient, kind and knowledgeable. We plan to return at the end of the month for another tour. Thanks again!

I did the Paddleboard Flow fitness class with Island Spirit Kayak and it was amazing! It was my first time ever on a paddleboard and I absolutely loved it. Maggie Maxwell gave clear, detailed instructions and created such a supportive, relaxed space that made it easy to enjoy and trust the experience. In addition to the fitness part, Maggie also teaches you how to paddle and handle the board, which is super helpful, especially for beginners. Maggie and everyone at Island Spirit Kayak are kind, supportive, and full of great energy! Such a fun and peaceful way to start the day. Highly recommend!

We had a fantastic kayak tour with Sky and Gabe! Our group of 14 - kids and adults - all very much enjoyed the entire experience. Sky was so knowledgeable about the birds and shellfish in the area - we all learned something new - and she made the experience fun for all. We would do it again and highly recommend.

A truly timeless experience. We spent two amazing days at The Charlotte Inn in Martha’s Vineyard as part of our honeymoon, and it was simply unforgettable. This place is something truly special — like it doesn’t exist anymore. The elegance, charm, and attention to detail throughout the property make it feel like stepping into another era. Every corner tells a story, and the atmosphere is warm, refined, and quietly luxurious. We visited during the fall, and the colors on the island added so much to the grandiose of the trip. It was peaceful, romantic, and felt like a perfectly preserved treasure. The Charlotte Inn is more than just a hotel — it’s an experience. We left feeling completely recharged, grateful, and already dreaming of coming back.

This is a beautiful inn. The rooms are lovely. Every room is full of antiques. The food was great and service excellent. The owners were delightful and always around. Lindsey , the manager was exceptional and so accommodating. We would definitely go back again.

I am in awe of this hotel. The hospitality, the adorable dogs (shout out to Morgan and Bentley for making our stay extra special), and the fantastic ambiance. They made sure to make our stay feel the most special. The hotel is a true gem and the staff was wonderful. The Terrace was also an incredible experience. The food was delicious and we even got to drink and snack in the hotel’s garden late at night. Talk about romanticizing your life. We will never forget our first experience in Edgartown because of The Charlotte Inn.

A gift from our son and daughter-in-law for our 50th wedding anniversary, we spent a wonderful weekend at the Charlotte Inn. This is a truly magical place - warm and inviting, with friendly and welcoming staff who went out of their way to make us feel at home. Nothing was too much trouble for them. Thank you all for giving us such a memorable stay in this gorgeous inn.

Well, I knew the Charlotte Inn when I was a little girl…I’m 75 years old now. My paternal grandmother came here every summer after her divorce in 1939…she drove an old car and she since she was a small person, she could hardly see the road..it was very scary! I loved coming here…I made friends with the care keepers’ daughter and we used to roller skate down Main Street. I see from the pictures the inn has changed enormously. Eventually she stayed at what I think was called The Harbourview hotel because she “ couldn’t forage for her food anymore”…the inn didn’t have a kitchen for guests then. My son came with me once…I’m sorry my daughter never came. I can’t judge it now because I don’t know what it’s like now. I have lived in Italy for years since then. It looks like I have to give a star anyway or I can’t send this. I realize that I shouldn’t even be judging this place…oh well! I’m sure it is lovely…I hope.

We recently stayed at The Charlotte for two nights, though we wish we could have stayed much longer. Our room was impeccable and brimming with historical touches everywhere. The shared spaces, inside and out are just lovely, but it’s the people at The Charlotte Inn most responsible for your comfort. They are fantastic, especially Lindsay who basically looked after us the entire time. She’s warm and welcoming and intent on making sure we had all we needed for a memorable stay. Thanks to Lindsay and everyone at The Charlotte Inn. We very much look forward to our next visit.

35 years ago we came to the Vineyard on our honeymoon, and we found this charming, quaint little hideaway the Charlotte Inn. 35 years later, it has not changed! There is A kindness of spirit and generosity that is shared by everybody who is associated with the Inn. The ambience is mesmerizing, the warmth of the staff and owners is limitless and while you stay there, you feel like you’re in a dream, at least that’s how we feel when we stay there. There’s a grace and gentleness of the island itself, and staff at the Inn bring that feeling through the property and could not be more accommodating or hospitable. We are looking forward to our return.

Well made, heavy sweatshirts. We've bought many for ourselves, family and friends. On this last trip we purchased 4 sweatshirts and a coffee mug. All high quality merchandise. The only thing I found disappointing was seeing the "Made in China" stamp under the price sticker as I removed it to wash. I'd like to see more "Made in America" stamps on their merchandise.

RUDE Staff & overpriced merchandise. I’ve been coming to Martha’s Vineyard for over 30 years and watched this place gradually decline. Today it’s hardly the iconic mascot of the island that it once was. My last several visits to this store have included experiences with the rude and unfriendly staff. Disappointing.

Very nice store. I gave it 4 stars because i feel like a place on the Vinyard should have a little more merchandise with Edgartown or Martha's Vinyard on it . Also, the cashier didn't seem to be fond of dogs . There was a poodle inside, and she wouldn't show me where an item was because there was a dog.

We are fans of The Black Dog companies and we are on a much-needed vacation here at Martha's Vineyard. We recognize that the pandemic has been rough on everyone's social interactions but we had an odd experience here which made us sour on the retail spot. We were asked three times if we needed assistance finding anything which is fabulous! They care about their customers obviously. The last employee to ask us was quite snarky with us and we ended up leaving and not purchasing anything. We had been in the store for about 15 - 20 minutes just browsing and shopping for our dog who is sensitive to a lot of sizes as materials of retail items so we oftentimes have to take our time reading sizes and ingredients in materials (he has sensitive skin and some past traumas - is afraid of plastic bags and crinkly material), and the employee asked us if we needed help. We replied, as any customer would, "No, we are just looking/browsing" and she snapped "I know you're looking! I've seen you in here going back and forth for awhile!" as if we have to stick to a time table to leisurely shop on our vacation. Not appreciated, considering my fiancée and I both deal with social anxiety and were trying to support the business. We ended up leaving with nothing for our dog or a souvenir for ourselves and went shopping elsewhere. I am unsure if we were being profiled for being younger than the usual crowd or if she was just passively accusing us of "browsing for too long". Very irritating and sort of ruined our day. Not cool.

They charged me 48$ for my hat!!! Receipt reads 2- shirts at 48$ each We had 1- hat and 1- shirt ehhhhh Well we are in Indiana so I’m not going back with receipt. No excuse for this , we were the only customers there .

I'm not sure what the point is in reviewing this store. It is the ultimate yuppie brand for those aspiring to bring home a little piece of Martha's Vineyard. The clothing is pricey but well made.

My mom was hoping this would be an actual general store, which it was not. The name of the store is misleading and it's just really a generic Black Dog shop that you can find on Cape Cod and on the Islands.

Went Into store to buy sneakers for my grandson we had the most helpful young man help. He took his time. He was patient and he did find us a pair of sneakers. It's a matter of fact a couple of pairs. This was last summer so I know I will return again this summer.

I'm from the island but very rarely shop at Brickmans because of the high prices. I few years ago I purchased some high $ Levi's jeans but lost the receipt.. the jeans had never been worn,still had the tags on them and in a Brickman's store bag. I went to return them to the store and I spoke with one person after another;they finally had me speak with the manager but he also refused to return them:they just didn't trust me that I had bought them there !! I was So upset at that 'all business,no trust' attitude that I insisted that they Will accept them back ! The stubborn manager just ramped-up and kept being rude to me and saying 'No We Won't' ! I was patient but just kept explaining my position in a calm way. I then placed the brand new,never worn(flat)with all tags and in their Brickmans store bag Levis jeans on their counter and walked out. I didn't receive my purchase $ back,but Did return them to the store. They treated me like their policy mattered more than I did;we're done.

Great store for all your clothing needs. Friendly staff were on hand to help my daughter find just the right shoes for her. At first glance it appears as a general haberdashery but they carry some very good quality merchandise.

What a great old time general store. We were in town to visit friends and went in to buy some toys as a gift and ended upon the clothing section. For a small store compared to big mall we are used to they had an incredible selection. They have it all so the next time we're back on the island we know where to go.

The staff here are chronically angry, the selection is subpar, the prices do not warrant the treatment you receive in order to be told they don't have exactly what you want. I wish this was a one time bad experience but it has been my experience every time.

What a fun shop! Colorful with the artwork, great music, and we loved the pieces of masking tape with quotes written on them. I wasn't able to stay as long as I'd like with kids in tow, but I would highly recommend this as a place to pop in when you're in the neighborhood.

Great place to find something new to read, named after the iconic street in Notting Hill, London. The selection is well curated (sorry to use such an overused word). I bought two books, and found another 15 or so that I would like to read one day. Nice quotes written on the walls and horizontal pieces of the shelves. I could have browsed all day.

I own a specialty store with 35 employees and a 32,000 square foot building. Portobello Road is my favorite store in the world. I visit every time I am on the island. It begins with the music being played in the store. Not radio, or random songs, but really good music with a great deal of thought behind every song. And thought behind the selection of books, signs, toys, gifts, art, music. The actual selection is not the point. They are not connected by a subject or a category. They are connected by a point of view. I can feel the thought behind every decision to place every item on the shelf. And it all works with the feeling behind the layout, and,,, the music! Browse through this store, and you will enjoy seeing things you don't see anywhere else. You will enjoy the experience. And what more do you want from a vacation store than a supremely enjoyable visit?

Had a wonderful experience here! Went here with my fiancé to find some fun home goods. I did not expect to leave with Dior Sunglasses but I did indeed do that. They are from the early 80s and I got them for a very good price! I feel on top of the world. Also found a bunch of home decor such as a fairy, a band of animals and beautiful wall shelf! I am over the moon with my purchases. Owner of the shop is so kind and patient and I really appreciated that :) will be back here soon to make some fun impulse purchases! Love it on there so much.

I just came to liquor shop after driving 30 minutes because it showing in google it close at 9 but the shop was closed at 8:30

One of the worst experiences of my life simply trying to purchase a bottle of wine after a long day of travel on my vacation. Asked me for my license to scan , which I gladly gave and was Told it wasn’t scanning. My license is valid and not expired but however a out of state license. At that point, I was then told he was unable to return my license to me after having it verified over the phone from the police station that it was in fact valid and made me wait for even longer for a police officer to come into the store to return it to me. Of course I didn’t purchase a single thing bc I was so distraught and tired after having to face such scrutiny. I didn’t have a single issue anywhere else in the area where I purchased wine free of grief. Don’t shop here. Spare yourself the trouble and aggravation!!!

Fun selection, I always find something new (to me) and exciting. I wish the staff was more knowledgable on what they carry -- when I ask an employee if they have had the new/exciting thing, its a 50-50 shot on if they have every had anything from that brewer at all.

I love this store! Has everything from toys, to drinks, to cards. Air conditioned, and a great store to come in not knowing what to buy and leaving with a variety of awesome products!

By far my favorite store on Martha’s Vineyard. It’s not only the supporting of a local business and a sustainable fashion brand, but I truly believe in the people behind the brand and their mission. It’s so lovely to be able to purchase a dress that is adorable, fits well, and is versatile, on top of knowing that with that purchase you’re sending a ripple out into the universe supporting the planet, makers, and so many other touch points. I love Conrado and everything I’ve ever bought there. I always feel so cute in the clothes! Plus the smiling faces in the store create a whole vibe that you just don’t want to miss.

Perfectly curated store! Wholesome gifts, tons of local wares, facial/body products, cute jewelry, sustainable comfy clothing. Also all the clothes really coordinate, so you can build your wardrobe piece by piece over the years! A must visit every time I'm on the island :)

I cannot share enough good things about this shop! I found my new all time favorite candle, clothes that fit inclusively and thoughtfully, jewelry that makes accessories feel like a bright addition to any outfit, and everything else so perfectly curated to make a happy, intensional shopping experience. First shop I went into on my arrival in Edgartown. The shop manager was amazing and so helpful. He showed me a couple of film locations for Jaws right by his shop and had lots of stories to tell. Lovely guy.

The quality and the price just isn’t right here. Wanted a chapped sweatshirt you can really only get here. $37 for a paper thin “sweatshirt”. No thanks, $25 would have been more on par with the quality of it. The black dog outlet has incredible quality crew necks for about $5 more, got something there instead.

Wonderful clothes for all ages! SOOO soft and creative and helps me remember my time on the VIneyard. The hats are also so cute and could fit any size and personality!!!! I ❤ soft as a grape!!

This store has gorgeous clothing and jewelry, and it’s fun to immerse yourself in the experience of being there. However, the management has sucked all the joy out of shopping there, because the sales staff is so incredibly aggressive and “in your face.” There is no casual browsing, as one would expect in a relaxing place like MV. There is someone literally following you around the store, not aware of social cues to leave you alone and allow you to browse at your leisure. I know you can always go elsewhere, and I often do. But would be nice to be able to go in and just relax and shop without the vulture salespeople. It’s a real turnoff at the Put On!

This upscale store in downtown Edgartown has been a perennial favorite! Their clothing is expensive but worth treating yourself to!

Most places are dog friendly on Martha’s Vineyard. This place isn’t. And the worker or the owner sure knows how to make you feel very unwelcome. She could’ve simply told us, “sorry. No pets in here.” Instead, she decided to make a lot of the dog owners feel insulted. I wouldn’t give my money to this store.

I had an old watch that had belonged to my mother. The last time I had a new battery put in it didn't work so it had been languishing in a drawer for years. My daughter was going to visit for Christmas so I thought if I could get it to work I would give it to her. Someone suggested Chris at Starks. So I brought the watch to him and he fixed it while I waited. I was thrilled that he got it to work and asked him how much I owed him. He said nothing. Every day he did a Christmas random act of kindness during the season and just asked to pay it forward. I almost wept.

I stopped in here after dinner wanting to look at engagement rings. I asked the woman working if they had any moissanite. She proceeded to say that she would “never carry anything moissanite because they were just not at all pretty.” That they were “one small step above cubic zirconia, and look really fake when the light hits them because of the rainbow hue.” It took me until I left the store to realize how rude and flat out mean she was being. In no way did I return the insults but she continued to hurl them until I left. What if someone had been in the store wearing a moissanite or cubic zirconia? But clearly she didn’t care. The impression I got from her was that she was the owner, or one of the owners. That makes this all the more unacceptable. I am not against spending thousands on a harvested diamond, but for me, a lab grown or moissanite are more sustainable for the environment. I don’t recommend coming here unless you want to be treated poorly and spoken to in a condescending manner. Spend your money elsewhere and have a much more enjoyable experience!

I mean really... had some nice John Hardy stuff. Typical overpriced for Martha's Vineyard. Would have loved to have bought my gf some pieces. god knows she deserves them given that she puts up with me... however, sorry dude, I can't purchase anything from an shop which preaches to patrons. Stuff your sign about reflecting your political views... your ignorant close-minded views resulted in one less sale. When you travel to Afghanistan...some of the more unsettled parts of Africa and South America... invite me in to discuss your need to post such politically and socially ignorant messages with its not subtle undertones. oh...and correct me if I have the wrong store...
