Bakery
Bovine Bakery is a charming local spot with a sustainable approach, offering a variety of artisan pastries, cookies, pizza, and fair-trade coffee. The bakery's name pays homage to the region's dairy ranching heritage. Visitors can indulge in enormous muffins and other treats while exploring the town's vibrant culinary scene. Nearby establishments like Cowgirl Creamery and Side Street Kitchen offer their own unique flavors and experiences.
I just tried this place again after a decade and am pleased to say the scones are as good as ever. In fact, the blueberry scone is even bigger than I remember (banana for scale). Long live Bovine Bakery!
Kevin K — Google review
I stopped by to get a quick latte, and no wonder is always so packed in there! all their pastry selection looks amazing! the latte was delicious, by the way, and they also offer a variety of sizes in case you are not that hungry but need a shot of coffee to energize your day. Love it and would be visiting again 🥰
Yay N — Google review
I have some sort of very fond nostalgia for this place due to the many times I've stopped here during the past 30 years on biking or beach trips to the area. It's a cool town and a great location. The bakery itself is okay. The pastries are fair, not great, like they used to be. Staff is not the friendliest, some give you the stink eye if you ask them to fill your water bottle. At least now, after years of resistance, they do have espresso drinks, which are okay. With so many bikers around, you would think the bakery or the town would make more of an effort to have nice outside seating and bike racks. The bread shop behind them has pastries, I'll try them next time.
Dean M — Google review
Decent pastries, the frittatas and raspberry cream danish were delicious but brownie was too cakey and dry and not very flavorful, left something to be desired.
Helen W — Google review
The worst experience! The girl behind the counter tossed our less than tasty cobbler at us didn't even bother closing the box. It tasted like it has been sitting awhile. I ordered a chai latte with oat milk. It tasted like spiced water. My husband tried it and said it tastes like potpourri. I get it, it's on the way to the beach but skip it and save your money! I don't understand the good reviews. My husband said his mocha was meh. What a waste of money.
Chanie H — Google review
I enjoyed my morning bun but I would’ve loved it heated. That would make it 5-stars for sure! No seating so we found a spot a couple blocks away to sit and relax. Good place to grab breakfast before a hike.
Liz K — Google review
A group of us stopped by this this week. Prices are high and the baked goods, not nearly as good as they used to be. We tried about 4 different flavored cookies and they were all pretty bad, zero flavor. coffee was fine and service was ok, not overly friendly.
Valeria P — Google review
This is a cute little place that gets super busy! Expect a line out the door, but totally worth the wait! Pastries and breakfast options are delicious - we tried a morning bun and it was super yummy! My chai latte was delicious too! A great spot in Point Reyes Station to check out if you're in town.

Deli
Palace Market in Point Reyes Station is a top choice for grabbing to-go sandwiches, salads, and other prepared foods. The market offers an extensive deli counter with reasonably priced options and even sets up a BBQ grill on weekends. It's known for carrying local food and goods, supporting local brands, and offering a wide selection of wines. Additionally, the store stocks everything from produce to homekeeping goods like detergents and air fresheners.
Terrific small-town market, we stocked up for our Airbnb here. Lots of local and fresh products, cheese, produce, California wine and beer , and more!

If you don’t wanna get sued and find by the Americans with disability act, then you need to learn about the different types of service animals for instance, mine is a PSA. That’s a psychiatric servicing animal. I had two of your employees yell at me and another customer rudely yell at me encourage negative behavior. I would really like it if an owner of the store can call me up for a discussion. Please leave your email and phone number as a comment and I will be in touch. I grew up in Northern California and it’s really sad to see such disrespect and negative energy coming into this community.

Good buffalo ice cream Tastes just like normal soft serve. Fluffy creamy not too sweet Good vegetarian burrito
L — Google review
I've tried two different vegetarian bowls prepared by their deli in the back, the Mediterranean, and also the one with sweet potato, and they were excellent. I can also highly recommend the galette in the photo. It's sweet and probably has added sugar, but very tasty. I took it out of its container and warmed it slightly in a microwave.
Phil R — Google review
Their gelato soft server is one of the best I’ve had. It’s fresh, delicious, and I’ll keep coming back whenever we drive by!

Been to Pt Reyes but havent had The Palace Market Soft Serve Ice Cream - Its the best - Creamy and Delightful Water Buffalo Milk Soft Serve Gelato.....the higher fat + protein content are Next Level and so velvety smooth... Delish!
John D — Google review
When we visit Point Reyes we stop here to get snacks, sandwiches and buffalo milk ice cream. We live this place. The ice cream is DELICIOUS. Very creamy and rich. When we visited in May the deli was closed. A bit disappointed but hope it comes back bigger. Market is also really nice with many choices. They also gave a good selection of wine.
Cali L — Google review
I would assume this is the largest grocery store in all of West Marin if you’re not counting Fairfax as part of West Marin and Palace Market indeed has just about everything you could want from a major super market, lots of well known brands but plenty of smaller local and independent brands. And of course the delicious soft serve ice cream, soup and sandwiches made to order in the back! Very kind and helpful staff

It offers a diverse collection of new and used books, including a well-stocked children's section and titles of local interest. The store hosts book club events, author meetups, and launch events for engaging literary discussions. Visitors praise the curated selection of current titles and local recommendations.

Very cool bookstore, and very intriguing curation and assortment of books. Anywhere you wander, you'll find something that piques you're curiosity.
Kevin K — Google review
When I stumbled on this shop, I didn’t dare go pass the first table at the front. It told me all I needed to know: that this shop may be small, but curated with wisdom, wonder and love. Point Reyes Books is simply one of the finest indie booksellers in the U.S.
Judy R — Google review
An amazing little bookstore, we always stop by when we're in town. You're going to find a wide variety of the best books out there. Not necessarily best sellers, but really good books that maybe you didn't know existed but have to read. The staff is always friendly and helpful, too. So overall it's one of the best small bookstores out there.
Wayne C — Google review
One bursts with pride at the mention of Point Reyes Books, a world class bookstore in our little town. It represents all of the core values that draw us here, be it conservation, innovation, food, poetry and the imagination. This bookstore is central to our community. We hope to bestow the love and support it deserves as it nourishes each of us.

Amazing bookstore! We always check out local bookstores when we travel and this one might be the best. Market
Deli
Inverness Park Market, located on the west side of the bay, is a popular spot for locals seeking delicious sandwiches and locally sourced food and drinks. The market's owner also runs the adjacent Tap Room, offering evening specials such as sushi and Thai cuisine paired with an impressive selection of craft beers. It's a place where neighbors gather for morning coffee and breakfast sandwiches.
This deli and market is bustling and has a great selection of food options, both on the shelves but also in it’s made to order sandwiches and such. I had the West Marin Reuben and loved it! The staff are super friendly and efficient. I would highly recommend making a stop here for visitors passing through the area
Nash H — Google review
Fantastic market/ shop full of everyday needs and delicious foods to assist in your road trip, or trip to Point Reyes lighthouse.
G — Google review
What a wonderful place to pick up lunch on the way to Point Reyes! I had a build your own pastrami sandwich on very fresh sourdough. A cold sandwich because I was going to eat it later while hiking. The next day on the way out I got a pulled pork sandwich. All the “special” sandwiches are hot. This time I ate it on their porch. Yummy! On fresh Dutch crunch bread. And of course a huge chocolate chip cookie. I always stop here when I pass through the area.
Charlie R — Google review
The breakfast burrito is one of my all time favorites throughout the greater Bay Area. It is really really really good. The sandwiches are delicious and filling. If you are headed out to Beach etc. this is definitely a great spot to get some food. Always clean and always friendly.
Ariel N — Google review
Awesome deli, long line up for sandwiches they seem to have everything here. Clean inside with friendly service. The coffee was excellent! Must stop over on your way to Point Reyes and the nearby beaches. You place the order and they give you a receipt for you to go pay upfront at the cashier.
Taufiq H — Google review
What a gem. We stopped by here to grab food on our way to Heidrun meadery. We ordered cucumber salad, macaroni salad, beyond veggie burger and spicy Thai noodles. The food was Simply awesome in taste and the service is great. The staff is welcoming and friendly, the place gets busy even on a weekday but they try to server your food fast. The ambience inside is amazing, it’s got a rustic vibe. There are few parking spots in front of the store but you can park across the road as well. They have fresh organic produce section as well. Last, there are restrooms available as well. I definitely recommend this store for food, a must visit.
Devang M — Google review
Good deli sandwiches, great staff that even when swamped can turn out sandwiches at a good rate. If you hunt there are decent priced items here. It’s definitely a higher end sort of market with an astonishing collection of wines and 2 deli cases worth of chilled wines.
Damon T — Google review
While coming back from Cypress Tree Tunnel we stopped for quick bite. Ordered one Chicken sandwich and one Veggie burrito 🌯. You have to order inside and then come out and wait outside. They allow one person at a time. They follow the rules. We liked their food . Most important they have restrooms for public

Visitor center
Bear Valley Visitor Center is the main hub for visitors at Point Reyes National Seashore, offering free double-sided hiking maps and essential information on weather, road conditions, and trails. The center is located along Bear Valley Road and provides a great starting point for exploring the park. Visitors can enjoy panoramic views from the observation deck and even embark on an adventurous descent of 313 steps to get up close to the lighthouse.
This is a great visitors center. They have maps and information about the area and what to do there. The staff was very friendly. It's worth visiting. Plus, there are awesome trails that start right there! We loved the trails!
Shelly L — Google review
Bear Valley is a beautiful and freeq place to hike and enjoy the coastal weather. The facility is clean and has a nicely shaded picnic area. The only thing was they no longer allow dogs on the trails.
David N — Google review
Sept 2025: Beautiful and large visitor center with an info desk and a gift shop. Water fountain inside, clean bathrooms outside (running water and soap, flushable toilets). Gorgeous display of knitted and felted sea creatures (labor of love). Plenty of informative displays throughout the space. National Park stamps available at entrance. Plenty of parking. There's at least 1 trail that starts at this Visitor Center. Some picnic benches - we had lunch here. Free to enter. Airy space, probably a good spot to wait out some rain and learn about the area. We will visit again and pick a hike.
Ali C — Google review
Lovely location, plentiful parking, nice introduction to the diversity of visiting options in the Point Reyes Area. For horse enthusiasts, the Morgan Horse Center is very close by, just up the hill!
Kaliador18 — Google review
Bear Valley Visitor Center has some nice exhibits describing the native Flora and fauna. Was a nice break on our drive along the coast.
Mare T — Google review
This place is worthwhile visiting. The Visitor Center was closed due to the government shutdown but the picnic area was free, clean, and plenty of tables in sun or shade. But the unique aspect of the park is the grove of trees. They are other worldly and wonderful for children to play in and climb. Many hiking trails lead from this point.
Patricia H — Google review
Point raise is so big. I thought I’d seen everything but today I found a new spot. I encourage anyone to come out here and spend the day. It is very beautiful.
Tammy D — Google review
Fun lil visitors center with a small exhibit inside that was lovely. I appreciated how kinda the employees were here and I loved the merch. Found some cute T-shirts and hats that give a percentage back to National Parks and public lands. Also a bunch of cute plushies and toys/books for kids. Heck, I even wanted a couple of the plushies myself.

Visitors can enjoy various events such as author talks, concerts and weddings hosted at this unique venue.
BEST place in town! ! It's own little mini shopping center: retail stuff, fruit stand, art gallery, cafe and more!!
Nancy H — Google review
I stop here every time l'm in the area. If you're here on Saturdays you'll be lucky to catch the farmers market they have in the back lot! Even if it's not a Saturday, there is always fresh fruit to buy out front. Inside, there's Point Reyes clothing, market foods and a little toy section. There's chocolate/candy available and goodies from the Brickhouse Maiden bakery which is phenomenal and worth going too. The coffee shop here and the cookies are also incredible, but it's cash only. It can get busy at times w all the bikers.
Kristina K — Google review
Toby’s Feed Barn is a fascinating store! It feels like a fusion of old and new establishments, creating its own mini shopping center with a retail store, fruit stand, art gallery and cafe all sharing the same building
Nash H — Google review
Very interesting store with many different items. They have lot of locally sourced products. We stopped here on a weekend and it was very busy. They have ready to go salad and a coffee shop on the side. We had a good time browsing the different tables. Picked up honey and local chocolates
Cali L — Google review
Wonderful mix of fresh produce, kitchen goods, snacks, t shirts, hats, jewelry, and more. Many of these items are local goods, and all reflect local values. Art Gallery in the back. Be sure to visit! Sometimes the artists are there to discuss their art. Toby's has animal feed, too! Steps in front. Easier access for mobility aid users at side entrance near Toby's Coffee Bar.

Point Reyes Vineyards and Inn is a charming B&B located on a picturesque vineyard. The property offers casual accommodations with a deck and a wine-tasting room for guests to enjoy. The vineyard produces award-winning ultra-premium wines, including cabernets, chardonnays, pinot noirs, syrahs, dessert viogniers, and sparkling wines. Guests can also stay at the Mediterranean-style inn onsite with rooms overlooking the beautiful vineyards.
As we were driving by with our friends, we stumbled upon this winery quite by accident... and it turned out to be the highlight of our sunny day! The owners of the winery were incredibly warm and welcoming. When we mentioned that we came from Ukraine, which is currently experiencing war, their generosity knew no bounds. They showered us with gifts, but most importantly, they gave us their undivided attention. A huge thank you to them for their support of Ukrainians! You are truly wonderful people!
Andrii K — Google review
My husband and I coincidentally stayed here last Saturday and it was lucky for us. We suddenly got a flat tire, and had no choice but to spend a night in Point Reyes Station. We tried many inns but there was no vacancy... Luckily we found here and could get a room thanks to Steve and Molly. Although we rushed in in the late night, the owners kindly prepared the room and helped us to change the tire in the next morning. We could get home on Sunday. If it were not for them, we would have been in a great trouble. It was small but very cozy room, and the view in the morning is stunning. The air was fresh and the mountain and cows were beautiful. As for the wine, we love the dessert wine. I don't drink sweet wine, but it was not too sweet and was very refreshing. We got sparkling wine and Cabernet Sauvignon. I am looking forward to drinking them. The vineyard is worth visiting if you are looking for good wine and friendly B&B.

I cannot express how much gratitude I have to Steve and Molly for maintaining one of the warmest lodging in the Point Reyes Seashore. I have stayed here countless nights over the years, quite regularly needing last minute lodging and have always been met with the utmost attention and care. The tranqulity and peace that the Inn has provided me, friends and family on countless occasions is invaluable.
Jeremy M — Google review
Quaint little winery with a super simple pour room. Amicable pour staff with interesting tidbits about the area and knowledge about each wine. We enjoyed a sampling of all wines offered on a picturesque patio. I really enjoyed their Chardonnay… I don’t like Chardonnay normally, but I really liked this one.
Lixa M — Google review
Wonderful wine tasting room on a gorgeous property surrounded by vineyards and roaming cattle. The two ladies working were absolutely delightful hosts, giving us local suggestions and colorful historical background. There is a wonderful patio off to one side of the property for an outdoor tasting, as well as room inside. Check out the pigeon coop too, we forgot to ask about it but counted 4 white birds, kinda neat to see. Bonus: the bathroom is clean, and if you're a Greatful Dead Head, this place is for you, trust me. We highly recommend stopping by here, oh and the wine is AMAZING!
Victor M — Google review
I made a reservation through Expedia. I then wanted to add a second night so I called and spoke to Molly. She called me by someone elses name. She said she could do that but that we would have to move rooms. I said that was fine. She later called and again called me someone elses name and said no, we would not have to move rooms. The night before arriving there she calls me a third time, caling me someone elses name and says someone else has booked the second night. She then recommended another hotel that was $45/night more. This ruined our trip before it even started as we had to scramble to find accomodations at the last minute. The inability of a proprietor to track someone's reservation and name is an unmitigated disaster! Don't have your trip ruined like ours was.
Christian — Google review
It is a amazing place. The owner is very nice. In the morning, you will wake up with birds singing, cows mooing and an aroma of coffee. If you are tired of city life, it will be a very good place to relax. Of course, they have very tasty wine too.

Very friendly owner. Made us feel so welcome. Loved the Pinot Noir sparkling wine they produce on the premises. We felt very fortunate to be able to learn so much about the area, being given the history by the owner, as well as pointed in the right direction of Nick's for dinner right on the water! The birds were amazing!

Limantour Beach is a popular destination for backpackers, offering overnight parking at various trailheads. Despite crowds near the main section and parking lot, visitors can find miles of empty beach to the southeast or by starting from the dog-friendly area. The beach provides stunning sunset views and opportunities to spot whales, elephant seals, and porpoises.
This is a hidden gem! The beach is beautiful, clean, and perfect for long walks or runs. Dogs are welcome on the south side. There's plenty of parking close to the beach. Walk south approximately 3 miles to Point Reyes Crater.
Kalina — Google review
Our secret beach. Watch the whales feed or walk the 7mile coastline. You can camp out here on the reserve. You can make bonfires on the beach with a permit.
Steve K — Google review
Such a cool place, and dog friendly! My wife and I grew up in the Caribbean and the blue water and course yellow sand remind us of home. The driftwood selection is always really cool as well, making it a fun place to bring kids. I am a family photographer by trade and hope to convince a few families to make the trek up to Limantour for photo sessions!
David E — Google review
Fantastic huge beach we've been coming to for over 15 years. The main section and parking lot are often very crowded on weekends, but you can access miles of empty beach if you go south-east or start from the dog section (keep in mind there will be dogs off leash). Great place to catch a sunset, or watch the whales, and sometimes there are elephant seals or porpoises as well. Multiple trails access this beach, including some of the Pt Reyes National Seashore campgrounds.
Max S — Google review
Nice beach. Tons of space, so even if it's not as empty or secret as some of the other reviewers said (at least when I was there, there were dozens of people), it was still spacious, with lots of nature around, and with tons of hiking all over the place. There was lots of extra space in the parking lot. Note that this is a south-facing beach, not a west-facing beach.
Niaz N — Google review
As for any beach in the Bay Area in the summer, it may look like perfect weather inland only to be a fog fest when you get there. Yesterday was a fog fest for us. Still a great beach. Dog friendly too (supposed to be on leash)

The Inn at Roundstone Farm is a charming country-style B&B nestled on a tranquil ten-acre farm in Olema, CA. Wittenberg, Olema Valley, Inverness Ridge, and Tomales Bay. Visitors can unwind in the outdoor hot tub while admiring the manicured grounds and observing various bird species.
My wife and I stayed here for 3 nights just after Memorial Day, 2025. The Inn is well-located for visiting Point Reyes National Seashore, which was our destination. The Inn is comfortable and homey and room was well-appointed with a view out over the meadow. The other guests we encountered were repeat visitors which also made the trip more interesting. Every morning, Frank served a delicious home-made breakfast which was a great start to the day. All in all, a very pleasant stay and will will return the next time we are in the area.

We had a wonderful stay at The Inn at Roundstone Farm. The inn is located in Olema, very convenient to Point Reyes and other places in West Marin. The room was cozy and the fireplace was really wonderful after a day of hiking. The breakfasts were delicious, and we met some wonderful people at the breakfast table. We will certainly try to stay at the inn when we go back to Point Reyes.

We loved our stay at Roundstone Farm. The rooms were spacious, clean and quiet. The breakfasts were outstanding!! And it was so much fun to talk to Frank and the other guests. We will be back!!

We spent the Fourth of July at the Roundstone Inn and were so delighted with it we decided it would be the perfect special place to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary. The setting is quite romantic. The garden is lovely and a perfect place for coffee or relaxation. Loved the hot tub! Breakfasts were delicious and the rooms are comfy with great views. There are lots of hikes around Point Reyes and it’s a short drive to cute Marin towns and to San Francisco.

We enjoyed our stay at the Roundstone Farm Inn very much. Our host, Frank, made delicious breakfasts, and we enjoyed the conversations with him and the other guests. Our rooms was comfortable and the common area downstairs was pleasant, with comfortable furniture and an interesting and eclectic collection of books. This is a great place for bird-watching, and it is located conveniently close to great hiking trails and the Bear Valley Visitor Center at Point Reyes National Seashore.

Beautiful and convenient location. Frank, the owner, was very gracious and a wonderful cook. Breakfast each morning was a treat with fruit, yogurt, fresh sweet bread, an egg dish, meat. Enjoyed the hot tub with robes & slippers provided. I felt comfortable enough to stay at this B&B alone for several hours while my husband did a long hike that I was not up to doing.

We had a great two night stay at the Inn at Roundstone Farm. The room was clean and comfortable and the view was spectacular! Breakfasts were scrumptious (warm entree, bread, and fresh fruit/yogurt). Frank's coffee is strong and delicious. Nice hiking close by but plenty of games and books/magazines to keep you occupied in case it's storming outside.

The rooms are comfortable and spotless, and the hosts go above and beyond to ensure a wonderful stay. The homemade breakfast is a delightful treat. Bed & breakfast
The Point Reyes Station Inn is a charming bed and breakfast that offers elegant rooms, some with private gardens, a gazebo, and a hot tub. The inn features vaulted ceilings, in-room fireplaces, and private balconies overlooking a lush garden courtyard with views of Black Mountain. It's a peaceful and romantic retreat just minutes from the heart of the village.
My wife and I enjoyed our stay as we visited point Reyes seashore. Debbie was so kind to us and treated us well. The place is very clean. They do a good job of cleaning the rooms and public areas. I recommend this place for couples visiting for a weekend trip. Might also be good for families. They provide small treats in the rooms of the guests in the fridge.

Completely charming and beautiful rooms in a perfect location! We stayed in the Satinwood room, and it is one of the most peaceful, well-thought-out, and lovely overnight accommodations I've ever seen. High ceilings with lots of windows, beautifully decorated, fireplace, and a small balcony overlooking the well-tended garden courtyard. Breakfast is included, with a variety of breakfast items included in the small refrigerator in the room. Very convenient and allows for a flexible schedule in the mornings. Its only a few minutes to town, a sweet little community with good restaurants, cute stores, and a market with anything else you might need. Ralph was very welcoming and helpful, and he was knowledgeable about the area and the trails and sites at Point Reyes National Seashore, too!

Buyer beware of the 7-day cancellation My wife and I were looking forward to a Memorial weekend 5-day, 4-night stay that was planned about two months prior. Unfortunately, I became ill, and we had to cancel our stay, kayaking & horseback riding excursions. My wife called the day prior to us arriving to cancel and was informed that there was a 7-day cancellation, of which she understood, however we were charged for the entire stay & no other options were presented. When I recovered a week later, I called to see if anything could be done to either get a portion of our stay refunded, I was greeted with no & that the policy is clear on the website. I then asked if we could re-book for Labor Day weekend as we were still wanting to visit that area and was told no again. I was also told that this is normal practice in California, which is not correct as we had a trip to Sacramento changed a few years back and was only charged the first night’s stay and refunded the rest. This is clearly their policy and not indicative of all California. Imagine a week’s long stay, a chance to get out of the city only to have the vacation canceled due to unforeseen circumstances & then must still pay for the hotel stay that never happened. Circumstances happen and I’m not naïve to the hospitality business, however getting charged for the full stay I feel is unreasonable. Regarding the kayaking excursion, my wife received credit to be used later this year & we were not charged for canceling with the horseback riding company.

It’s really clean here. And close to everything. We stayed in the Eastlake Room and it was energetically nice. However, the mattress seriously needs to be replaced. It felt like a marshmallow. Aside from it being too soft, it squeaked so loud that I woke up every time my BF moved, which was a lot because he couldn’t get comfortable. One night I slept on the floor but then had severe allergies that morning probably because pets have been allowed to stay in the carpeted room. Another thing they should consider is unscented laundry detergent. And not smoking near the laundry room. Also, from the photos on their website I was under the impression we would be served a delicious breakfast when all that was left in the room was an English muffin, bagel, bear claw, eggs and a couple other things. They did have nice drinks in the fridge. Bovine Bakery in town is divine so it wasn’t a bad thing that we didn’t have breakfast at the Inn. The garden is lovely and is quiet on the week days when there is no traffic. Bring a bathing suit to enjoy the jacuzzi. And hiking boots to explore the many beautiful trails around. Pt Reyes is a magical area.

Loved the Bed, was disappointed by the Breakfast... When my husband reserved a birthday weekend at a cute bed and breakfast near Point Reyes, I had a cozy vision of a cute room, with a fireplace, with a comfy bed, in a good location (got all of those) as well as a warm breakfast served communally (was disappointed we didn't get that). The Inn is super well located, down the street from the village, very clean, comfortable, and cozy. No complaints at all, and would definitely recommend on those grounds. However, on the breakfast side, which is part of the B&B charm, we were left with cold muffins, bagels, and hard boiled eggs in the room fridge. While I understand it's a remnant of COVID precautions, it was a disappointment to the experience. We ended up taking the muffins hiking and got breakfast at a couple of cafes in town. Overall, it's a good place to stay, but the lack of warm breakfast made me feel more like I was on a business trip and less on a romantic getaway.
Angela L — Google review
Host was very welcoming, but for the price was a bit dated. We paid $240 but is was more like a $120/ night type of place. We paid for the jacuzzi room but did not use because the jets looked yellow/old/scummy. Some celling mold in the bathroom, old floral bedding etc. The carpet in front of the bed looked pretty tired, slippers in addition to robes would have been nice; I did not feel comfortable walking in bare feet on the old floor/carpet. Was expecting a b&b experience but there was just a continental brekkie in the room fridge. I know covid has made it very tough on mom & pop places like this, but this place is dated and the price should reflect that.
VAS — Google review
Family of three stayed in the Victorian room. It was clean and comfortable. The jacuzzi tub was much enjoyed and the gas fireplace made it cozy. The view out the balcony and the courtyard make it a nice place to hang out and visit with each other. There is some road noise daytime but it didn't bother us as much as anticipated. Can't comment on food since due to pandemic there was no serving. But they provided a variety of breakfast foods to eat in the room along with toaster, fridge, and Keurig. We were satisfied with that.
Peter R — Google review
Had a great stay. The balcony, fireplace, and jetted tub in the room made it a nice place to relax. Enjoyed the continental breakfast set up in the room too! Had a nice meal at the Due West Tavern in Olema.

Nestled on a 4-acre estate just north of Point Reyes Station, Point Reyes Country Inn offers elegant rooms with modern amenities such as coffee makers, mini fridges, and Wi-Fi. While the onsite Bed and Breakfast is currently on hold through the end of the year, accommodations are available at the Grooms Quarters above the stables and two waterfront cottages overlooking Tomales Bay. The property also features beautifully furnished rooms adorned with antiques and equine-centric artwork.
We loved our stay at the Inn! The room was thoughtfully appointed with antiques and nice touches that made it especially cozy. The balconies (our room had two on either end) were so peaceful for a glass of wine at the end the day or eat our delicious breakfast provided by the Inn. The common areas were great as well. Loved it immensely and cannot wait to return.

We have been coming to this exceptional place for over a decade. The accommodations for both human and horses are comfortable and clean. Can’t speak for the horses, but also beautifully furnished with antiques and equine centric artwork. The innkeeper, Tom, is a wealth of knowledge about the area and we always enjoy getting to chat with him. Cannot forget Mario and Kobe who are welcoming to all guests

Pointe Reyes Country Inn is a lovely property - secluded, tranquil, with beautifully decorated rooms. We stayed here 10 years ago, and very little had changed when we returned this autumn - unchanged in a good way! Joe's breakfast is to die for, and the two wonderful dogs (Mario and Cobey) make all the guests feel welcome and loved! Quite a unique place to stay - highly recommended.

Such a lovely stay. We went Sunday night through Tuesday morning. Only one other couple in the entire place. The view of the stars was so amazing with little to no light pollution. The Black Heron Inn is a tranquil guesthouse offering warm quarters and Wi-Fi, situated atop a bluff with stunning views of rolling grasslands, Tomales Bay, and Inverness Ridge. It provides a peaceful getaway spot with spacious rooms that offer vast views of native fields and the surrounding hills. The inn's location ensures privacy and deep serenity, making it an ideal place for relaxation.
We had the most wonderful stay at Black Heron Inn! We loved the incredible views from the room and deck, the warm wood interior and furniture, the comfy recliner chairs, and the perfect location. We walked into Pt. Reyes Station to get food at the Palace Market, and the room has a full set of dishes. You won’t want to leave the room! We can’t wait to come back.

We had a wonderful stay at the Black Heron Inn. The location is easy, the views are magnificent and the rooms are lovely. The owners were very responsive to my questions before we arrived. Thank you, Black Heron Inn!
Gillian N — Google review
This a serene, peaceful getaway spot. The rooms have a vast view of native fields, the hills of Inverness and peeking out in the distance, the water of Tomales Bay. No houses, no cars, no construction, just birdsong and breezes. Deer families graze on the property, hawks fly overhead. Mist comes in off the hills at the sunset...this is a restful place. Mamie is a gracious host. The spacious rooms are comfortable, with generous seating by the window for gazing, writing, reading, drawing...There are only 3 rooms so even with a full house there is solitude available. The inn is a few minutes drive from Point Reyes which has groceries and several cafes / restaurants. There are several seafood spots up the coast which are fresh and memorable. EV drivers take note, there is a Tesla Supercharger station 10 minutes south of here in the parking lot of Due West Tavern / Olema house. Amenities: fast Internet, coffee pot with coffee/tea, fridge, microwave, full dish set, TV, robe.

This hotel is perfect. Large, extremely spacious rooms. Great view, with a short hiking distance to Tomales Bay views. Quiet place, with animals roaming in the area. (We saw a deer on the porch.) I could speak forever about this inn, but I won't.
Mei X — Google review
The hotel and property are fantastic, with incredible views of Tomales Bay and the surrounding hills from the panoramic windows and expansive deck. Conveniently located, exceptionally quiet and peaceful. The rooms lack bathtubs, but that's honestly the only complaint I can come up with. On the pricey side, but well worth it.
Immortan S — Google review
The views from the window and the wraparound balcony are unforgettable. We wake up the the chirping of birds and the hooting of an owl. A heron flies up from the pond, which is accessed over a little bridge and flecked with lily pads. In the distance, across rolling grasslands, we can see Tomales Bay, with Point Reyes beyond. Everything's been thought of in the spacious rooms. Mamie, the owner, has been a kind and gracious and thoughtful host.
Mike N — Google review
The Black Heron Inn was the best surprise of our California vacation, mainly due to the comfort & hominess of the room, the views, and the quiet peacefulness of the location. Point Reyes Station is not a big town, and the Inn is on outskirts, with a protected state reserve in the back yard. Some of the highlights: - The sunset the only night we were there was one of the most beautiful I can remember, all viewable from our room and porch. - My wife and I went for a short hike in the adjacent park, which was not only convenient but beautiful. - There is a beautiful garden out back with fruits and flowers. - There is no hot breakfast, but rather the room was stocked with cereal, fruits, homemade banana bread, milk, yogurt. We wish that we had booked more nights than we did, as this was such a peaceful and beautiful place.

This is a great community thrift store that supports services in the area. I have often found many treasures here, such as jewelry, clothing, yarn, and books. If you are visiting Point Reyes Station pop in, you never know what you might find. Their prices are very reasonable.
Elizabeth H — Google review
It looked like a nice store and I love thrifting especially in new places and I was very excited to check it out as I was visiting from over 2 hours away. I was turned away for having a Service Dog. I was told I couldn’t be inside due to my SD. As a disabled handler I was shocked. In my time of owning a SD I have never been turned away from a store nor have I ever written a review for somewhere but this infuriated me too no end. People need to be educated on ADA laws as this action the lady took because of her lack of knowledge is illegal and I would have told the woman all about it but I was not gonna ruin my day trip and possibly pass out.
Piper C — Google review
Some very nice stuff (Lucky Brand, Prada, Coyuchi) but pricing is hit-or-miss. Sometimes I see great deals, and sometimes I feel like I could get a new item for the same price. Staff is friendly, but does not negotiate. If you find something is broken, either they say the price is "as is" or they just throw it away. Donating is also an iffy proposition. They get buried in donations, so often they turn away things like books and housewares.

Came in looking for a Point Reyes sticker and was honestly a bit turned off by the guy working the counter complaining about "rich people getting I to space travel". We found and purchased a nice sticker to remember our stay in Point Rayes during our trip and struck up a conversation with the liberal. He was very nice and recommended we stop by Wildflower Bakery on our way up north. He even suggested we visit Fort Ross for our next overnight stay in our camper. We are on the way there right now, Wildflower Bakery was amazing. I feel like liberals pride themselves for being inclusive and understanding, but in many ways they are not. The Surf Shop is a great spot to pick up some surf equipment or odds and ends, just make sure you are not a space traveler!
