March Field Air Museum, located near the March Air Reserve Base, is a must-visit for aviation enthusiasts and families alike. The museum boasts an impressive collection of over 70 historic military aircraft, including rare operational jets. With more than 30,000 artifacts on display, visitors can delve into the rich history of aviation and explore exhibits dating back to World War I.
Very nice museum complex. Lots of inside exhibits and artifacts. They also have a very large collection of static aircraft on display. I stopped by on a weekday right at opening and had the place to myself for a bit. That staff and volunteers were happy to chat and were very knowledgeable.

We took our 2yo grandson to the museum and were pleasantly surprised on how engaged he was with the exhibits. We arrived at 10am and there wasn’t a wait to enter. Their main museum area is a huge hangar! Don’t hesitate to go through the hallways (AC was great!) for additional displays. We liked that the glassed collections were from floor to ceiling to allow little ones to view items. For viewing the outdoor planes & helicopters we wore comfortable shoes. Due to the warm weather we brought hats and bottled water.

All I can say is go and check this place out. If you love planes and military artifacts it’s a must see. The guys who work here are some of the nicest people I have met! Took my son who is 14 and we had a great time! The amount of things they have at this museum is unbelievable!! I would highly recommend a visit!! Thank you gentleman it was a pleasure!

The March Field Air Museum is by far one of the best museums I have ever visited. It's been almost 30 years since I last visited and they have definitely put a lot of love, dedication and pride into this place. I highly recommend it to anyone interested in our Air Force and military defenses. It's a great place to bring kids and learn invaluable history. 10/10 would recommend.
Angelica L — Google review
My daughter, her son and I visited on 9/27/2025 about 11:13a.m., they opened at 9:00. The man at the entry, taking payment, was super friendly. After we stepped out of the ticket area we were greeted by Fred, (maybe his title is docent?) He had a lot to tell about areas we don't want to miss, and a small, more personal, story, too. He was fun to listen to. He had a great sense of humor. My grandson is almost 4, so he was interested in different things than I was. His mom took him about, but we reunited in different areas. So much history in there! Then we took the tiny bus, $5 per rider. This man was amazing! He took us past each airplane on the field, describing the vitals & history of each plane, while adding a bit of humor on occasion. Great touring voice and so filled with info! It was a great tour! If you are a plane buff, but maybe don't know about ALL of these planes, it's a great guided tour. The bonus was no walking! 😉 Enjoy!!!
Lori B — Google review
This has been a hidden gem of a museum. Went here on a whim, but I never expected to see so many and such big aircrafts up close. Could have spend days if I wanted to thoroughly see it all. I saw most of my favourite planes on display here, absolutely beyond my wildest dreams. (SR-71,B-17,B-25J) But the collection is far greater than that. On the outside of the museum there's more planes than I have ever seen together, and the bus tour is a recommendation. Have a chat with the staff and volunteers, they have great stories to tell, and real life experiences. The nearby active airbase also has some interesting activity. Inside there's a lot of history on display from all kinds of era's of aviation, from uniforms to replicas to actual spaceshuttle parts! Must see for any aircraft enthusiast.
Dutch D — Google review
Took my son over fall break and there's so much to see. The staff and volunteers were very knowledgeable and helpful. They have a little 45 min. tram tour around the outside planes for a small extra fee, but it was well worth it as the gentleman that provided the tour gave us so much information about each plane and it happen to be raining quite a bit outside. Its much bigger on the inside than you anticipate, with a NASA section, military outfits and so much more. There are flight simulators and even an old war plane where we had a gentleman by the name of Max who used to be a pilot for that type of plane instruct him how they would have taken off in that fighter plane. They also had a scavenger hunt that my son was quite invested in. It also looks like you can rent parts of the facility out for events. I would recommend taking the time to visit this treasure.

Awesome museum, wonderfully kind staff, and my Autistic son came walk around and remain safe with the gates and limited access to areas. The new space area is amazing, wish the terminals all worked when there but one was great!

California Citrus State Historic Park is a 248-acre open-air museum and garden that commemorates the significant citrus boom in California during the 20th century. Established in 1984, this park resembles a 1900s city park and features an informative center, amphitheater, and picnic areas. It offers exhibits and firsthand accounts related to the cultural, environmental, and political aspects of the citrus industry.
Nice, easy 25 minute walk through citrus groves. Cute little museum and gift shop with citrus-themed souvenirs. One-hour pass for $3 gets you in; full dat pass for $7.
Gaither L — Google review
Cool state park experience, especially for kids. $3 for hourly parking, $7 for the day- be sure to have cash. The museum/visitor center is well-done and educational. The park is large with lots of areas to explore. They do offer free guided tours, but we just missed them. Definitely worth a visit!
Amber S — Google review
We attended a wedding here after hours. Beautiful location amongst fruiting trees with the sunset as a backdrop. There was a gazebo for shade. Plenty of paved walking trails. There seemed to be pavilions with picnic tables in the distance so this might be a nice place to have a family picnic. Ladies, avoid wearing heels at this location. The stone cobbled courtyard isn't very even and could lead to a painful fall if you're not careful.
Serina S — Google review
The California Citrus State Historic Museum, located in the heart of Riverside, offers an immersive and delightful experience for anyone interested in the history and significance of citrus farming. The museum is a treasure trove of information, artifacts, and interactive displays that explore the agricultural, economic, and cultural impact of citrus fruits, especially oranges, on the region. A special mention goes to the museum's tour guide José attention to detail in showcasing the environmental factors that influence citrus growing. What sets the California Citrus historic Museum apart is its hands-on approach on the tours picking the citrus and tasting first hand. There are plenty of opportunities for guests to interact with the exhibits, making it both educational and fun for people of all ages. The museum also offers a small but charming gift shop, where visitors can buy locally-produced citrus-themed products and souvenirs. If you're a fan of agriculture or simply love citrus fruits, the California Citrus Historic Museum is a must-visit destination. The museum’s informative displays, friendly staff, and welcoming atmosphere create a perfect experience.

This is a must-see museum. The site itself is beautiful and amazing with its history. The elevated viewpoint gives great perspective of the groves of decades gone by. There are benches to relax and enjoy the view of the vast orchards. The museum is worth the visit just by itself. Very educational. Definitely recommend a visit. We will go again when we are in the area.

an absolutely breathtaking park with excellent facilities and well-maintained grounds. The natural beauty is unmatched, and the welcoming atmosphere makes it enjoyable for everyone. a must-visit this park.
Ali A — Google review
California Citrus State Historic Park is a slice of paradise for nature lovers and fruit enthusiasts alike. The park’s beautiful landscape is home to an astonishing variety of over 100 different species of citrus fruits and trees, each more intriguing than the last. The air is perfumed with the sweet fragrance of citrus blossoms—a scent so delightful it must be experienced to be believed. While the museum’s limited hours from Friday to Sunday are a slight drawback, as we missed the opportunity to indulge in the citrus tasting, the park itself offers a wealth of experiences. It’s an idyllic setting for family outings, where both kids and adults can marvel at the vibrant hues of the groves and learn about the golden state’s citrus heritage. This park is truly a gem worth visiting, offering a unique blend of sensory delights and educational opportunities.

Really cool park with a variety of citrus trees and lots of avocado trees to view (no picking nor eating). There were some samples in the visitors center. Nice space to hike around with beautiful view of the hills and orchards.

Awesome little hike with friends and family. About a 5 mile hike combined. I recommend parking at the park across the street. I stretched for about 10 minutes, then went straight to the fruit vendor and hydrated with fruit and vegetables. Happy Trails, guys.
Andy G — Google review
I love this place. It's an easy hike with beautiful views of the city. If you stay on the trail it is paved but if you go off the trail, it's dirt and rocks. Your mostly in the sun on this trail depending on what side of the mountain your on. There is alot of things to look at on the trail and walking it goes rather quickly. Parking is across the street at a park.. so before you reach the entrance there will be a prewalk to the trail.
Jennifer — Google review
I'm in the Air Force and was visiting March Air Force Base when I found this gem! Loved the scenic view of Ri erside and the surrounding mountains. Area felt extremely safe and there are several vendors selling refreshments following your hike. I will be coming here every day during my stay to soak in the sun and get a small feel of the local culture.

I been coming to this place for the longest to go hiking with friends and family.. it’s a nice place to go hiking and also I have taken my E-Bike up there too and feels smooth riding it up there. I definitely recommend it for anyone that wants to go check it out …
Daniel M — Google review
It was an amazing experience. The hike felt short but the beautiful thing about this hike is that you can create or find a way to loop the hike. I think we did over 2+ miles on the hike even though it was about 1.5 miles from start to top. Definitely recommend this hike. Also, this hike is not secluded so there will be many people here. I love a nice quiet hiking trail where you can hear nature doing it's thing. This is not that lol.

Such a cool spot with a beautiful building and spacious galleries! The exhibits are a great mix of photography and interactive installations. Plus, the gift shop is a fun stop; I even grabbed a rooster finger puppet just for fun!

Bonus to visiting the Cheech, you get admission to the RAM!!! Learning about Riverside, and seeing this art was special. You get two Art exhibits for the price of one. The art here was powerful! It was a good weekend trip and getaway!
Jose V — Google review
Beautiful galleries that are diverse and showcase multiple communities. Tickets were about $30+ for two. This gives you access to two museums. Really cute date night idea. We went on a weekend, so there was a farmers market close by. I would definitely start off by getting coffee or breakfast (lots of great coffee shops near by), browse one museum, get lunch, and browse the second one. Some artwork made me emotional, but worth the experience. I do suggest buying tickets in advance as we had to fill out a short form before entering. This could be time-consuming for groups bigger than 4. The form took us about 3 mins each, and they only had one tablet available.
June B — Google review
Nice place to visit. Someone greet us at the door. we walk around and it was quiet lovely. I bought my tickets at the Cheech museum and as a bonus we were able to come see the riverside art museum. I paid 31 dollars for 2 adults.
Steph M — Google review
First time to come check this amazing place out the staff is super friendly. They are all polite and welcoming one of the volunteers gave us a history lesson on the building which was awesome who new it was a girls young womans Christian center. Pretty cool to know that where one of the exhibits is laid out use to be a indoor swimming pool. So that being said nice art work from various artist paintings, drawings, and photography they even have art for children posted on the wall. They accept donations. Small exhibits but worth checking it out. Did I mention there are sculptures too fantastic to look at and intricate

Park
Nature & Parks
Sycamore Canyon Wilderness Park, located just south of Riverside, is a sprawling 1,424-acre natural oasis offering a peaceful escape from city life. The park features interconnected trail loops that lead through diverse landscapes filled with sycamore and oak trees, wildflowers, and various wildlife species. Visitors can explore over 1,500 acres of outdoor expanse with running, hiking, and biking trails while enjoying the abundance of flora and fauna.
One of my favorite places in Riverside to hike and enjoy nature. There are miles and miles of trails for hiking or mountain biking. I prefer to park at the Barton Street entrance; no parking lot but there is street parking on a dead end road that leads directly to the park entrance. On the weekends it gets "busy" so arrive early for good parking. You can also enter the park through the Nature Center's parking lot off of Central Ave. or at Sycamore Highlands Park (street parking). There are no public restrooms and trashcans are only located at the main entrances. There is a small creek that runs through the park which can offer some good bird watching opportunities. I mainly come here to hike and for wildlife/nature and landscape photography. Right now the wild blooms cover the entire park. An amazing variety of gorgeous flowers. Coyotes are usual present as well, but I've never encountered any that have been aggressive. However, they do sometimes travel in packs through the park. Be prepared to share the trails with mountain bikers. While not a huge problem, you may run into a few homeless people living in the park. On hot days, plan accordingly and bring lots of water. There is very little shade throughout the park.
Dang N — Google review
This is a great place to come and hike, especially if it has rained recently. There isn't a whole lot of shade so plan accordingly. There are a lot of hills so make sure you are prepared for a good workout. The best part is by far the views you get of the surrounding areas. A stream is usually running through part of it, which makes for a nice resting place as well. Definitely recommend!
Breanna J — Google review
Beautiful hiking area with some nice hills! Some hills are a bit steep so I suggest wearing shoes with good grips at the bottom. Great place to exercise and enjoy the view at the benches. I went in May and some of the flowers were over 5 ft tall! Lots of lizards, ravens, and big ants too. Watch out for rattlesnakes! I saw one crawling away so I recommend either bringing a hiking stick or looking around before you sit down.
Melos — Google review
I'm so glad that we have miles of mountain bike trails in the city limits. There are plenty of named and unnamed trails of varying difficulty so you can always mix it up. I recommend parking on Barton St. There's a year-round stream running through the park so this place is also good for nature viewing - there's coyotes, roadrunners and other birds, lizards and more. This place is a good example of classic Inland Empire landscape.
Stephanie G — Google review
Always a delight to hike around Sycamore Canyon. It is nice, has plenty of open space, good views, and is relatively quiet. There are a variety of paths you can take and all are at a fairly easy level of difficulty. Highly recommend for anyone looking to get outside!
Kevin W — Google review
We've been going once a week and still find new paths everytime... Just please pick up your trash don't leave your empty water bottles behind. . . We like to go in the early morning not much people and the sun is bearable... If you have young kids it's a great place to take a note book and write down all the plant observations... We've been keeping an track of certain plants over a period of time and it's a great experience to see them grow on their own in their natural habitat. At least with my phone I'm able to search the plants using my phone with Google lens and we can even identify them
Cynthia C — Google review
Great if you're looking good a hike or bike experience. Miles and miles of moderate trails that are fun to explore. Coyotes and rabbits can be commonly sighted, even saw a rattlesnake once. Update April 2023 - after the recent California rains, the hills are lush green and overlaid with 10s of different kinds of wildflowers. There's no better time to hike here.
Deepak G — Google review
love this place. they have a decent amount of grass to have a picnic or just watch the sunset !! it sits on top of a hill and the views from here are beautiful i would definitely recommend coming here just to hang out and enjoy the views. parking is kind of terrible because there is always too many people but other than that it’s great

The Mission Inn Hotel and Spa's Festival of Lights is a beloved city tradition that has been enchanting visitors for decades. The heart of the event is the Mission Inn, which is adorned with a breathtaking display of lights and decorations. As you stroll down Main Street and Mission Inn Avenue, you'll be immersed in the warm holiday cheer of downtown Riverside. The festival offers an array of vendors, shops, food, and live music to enjoy.
We had a fabulous Thanksgiving dinner at the Mission Inn restaurant. We were sung to by carolers singing Christmas songs and they did a wonderful job. The place is spectacular with Christmas decorations and lights everywhere. The festival of lights was a beautiful exhibit however it has been cut down in size It's not as large as it used to be 6 years ago. But it's still beautiful. It's a perfect way to start your holiday.

Although, it's a beautiful place, Stayed 5 days. Observation of room service trays sitting outside room on the second floor for multiple days. Workers everywhere and not a sole would clean up the trash. Security guards are doing a decent job. Robert! Alea, Mia. Two happy persons kept us all laughing and smiling. Amazing furniture in the place.

We had an incredible time at the Mission Hills Festival of Lights display! The atmosphere was magical, with talented musicians filling the air with festive melodies, charming shops offering unique finds, and plenty of delicious food options to indulge in. The light displays were absolutely breathtaking, creating a stunning winter wonderland that truly brought the Christmas spirit alive for our whole family. It’s a must-see experience—highly recommend!
Lou U — Google review
We went on the weekend so it was very crowded. We didn't get to see the mission courtyard decors because the pathway wasn't moving, packed like sardines. It was too many people, we only explored the outside of the mission. Even though, we can't see the courtyard, it was still a nice experience. So next time if we can come back will be after xmas around new year or so to let the party die down a bit. Here the recommendations: 1. Bring your own toilet papers or towels, a small led light, a wipe..if you need to go to the potty outside because you will need it. Public Restroom at the cafe was wrapped around the corner. I stood for 15 mins, line wasn't moving so i decided to use the quick potty outside. 2. Potty toilet is near the parking garage so park at that garage if you can. $15 parking. Besides the potty issue and crowd like sardines, it was fun to see plenty of lights decoration. We didn't buy any food, lines were long. We will be more prepared next time.

I love the Mission Inn, having stayed there before last year and this time again - the hotel is so gorgeous, everyone should stay here at least once so you can walk around all the corridors and courtyards and explore all the nooks and crannies. That said, coming here specifically for the Festival of Lights is rather underwhelming. Very crowded, loud and I was expecting a large bedazzled area with lots of kiosks and food stalls - there were maybe 5-6 stalls selling food. That's it. Some of the shops were open in the open air promenade but there's just not many shops in general. There's light displays that everyone crowds around to take pics but honestly you're better off going to something like Enchanted Forest at Descanso Gardens or Zoo Lights at LA Zoo. The Mission Inn is beautifully decorated (though mannequins are kitschy, bordering on bizarre) - but unless you're a hotel guest, you're only going to be allowed to go thru the front entrance area and exit out the side garden. There will be hotel security at all doors leading to the interior of the hotel.

Great place and great food. I recommend when you come visit the outdoor restaurant and ask for Gerado, not only do you get a great dinner but you get a great history about the hotel and himself. Awesome person and awesome place.!!!! 10 🌟

Although growing up in Southern California and going to the mission Inn for years, I now live in Utah, and we made a special trip to see the festival. We were disappointed in that they no longer have carriage rides around the mission Inn and at the roads were closed.Still a beautiful Christmas tradition.

Wowwwww! What an unbelievable place to visit ! A huge piece of history combined with lights and action ! I stopped here on NY day and made it just before the crowd. I couldn’t get enough of it. Every thing was 100 percent on the spot from the lights to the ornaments to the landscape. If you’re ever in Riverside during the holidays, this is a must-see ! My 6 year-old was mesmerized! Just gorgeous!

Local history museum
The Mission Inn Museum, located in Riverside, California, is a National Historic Landmark hotel that has been transformed into a museum showcasing local history and art. Housed in a stunning Mission Revival-style building, the museum features exhibits on the history of the Mission Inn, as well as topics such as aviation, citrus industries, and California Missions. Visitors can take guided tours to explore parts of the inn not usually accessible to the public.
I took their haunted tour that takes you around the neighborhood near the Mission Inn, where museum docents share ghostly tales, true crime lore, and strange bits of local history. One of the things I really enjoyed is how many of the stories connect Riverside to pop culture. For example, the tragic case of Gloria Ramirez, known as the “Toxic Lady,” inspired an actual television show episode. Along the route, you’ll stop by spots like the former police station, the old opera house site, and the library tied to the death of Cheri Jo Bates, which some believe may have been connected to the Zodiac Killer. The tour isn’t just about listening—you also get to try out ghost-hunting equipment like EMF detectors and dowsing rods along the way. Plus, everyone received a limited-edition pin as a keepsake, which was such a thoughtful touch. Our guides, Patti and Sandy, clearly love what they do and kept the group engaged with stories that were equal parts spooky and fascinating. One of my favorite little details came right at the end, when we stopped outside the Mission Inn itself. They showed us a vent that connects down to the Mission Inn’s catacombs. It was the perfect eerie note to close out the evening. If you’re into local history, ghost stories, and true crime with a spooky twist, this is a really fun way to spend a night in Riverside. Enjoy the storytelling and a chance to experience the city in a new way.

I would have to divide my rating for this place into three sections: 1) The place itself. The Mission Inn is truly amazing!!! If you like historical buildings with amazing architecture and let's say, every room being unique and great, then this place is for you. They do a lot of wedding venues and events but just to explore it. It took us two days to find some of its secrets. I would definitely come back. 2) The front desk staff are RUDE!! I cannot emphasize enough (and I heard it from another guest also) that the front desk people need to learn some customer service. I mean, being elegant and being rude are two very different things. I don't know who is training these people but ALL OF THEM are rude. I spoke to five different front desk agents and they all made me feel unwelcome. They never explained the wifi, the amenities, made any recommendations, called me by my name "Mr...", nothing! Also, when I called the desk to ask about the tours they rudely said "you have to call the number". The housekeeper people, however, were very friendly. They brought me water and they always greeted me "good morning", "good evening", etc. 3)The place may be haunted? We experienced some very strange noises inside of our room the first night. I also was able to go down to the basement (is that where the catacombs are?) and heard some noises of chains being dragged on the floor away from where I was standing. In our room, there was a bread wrapper and we heard it being squeezed and making noises at night. Also, we had a light that turned on by itself. Overall, that was very interesting, and wasn't even the reason we came here. Overall, I would give it a 5 stars if the front desk people were not so rude, but everything else would be great. Ohh, btw, be prepared to wait until the last minute cause when I first called they told us to come and give our name for an early check in list but we were never called and were rudely dismissed every time we asked.

From the moment we stepped into the Mission Inn Hotel and Spa, we were whisked away on a journey through time. The grandeur of the mission and Spanish revival style architecture was not just visually stunning but emotionally stirring, leaving us in awe of its intricate beauty. The hotel’s ambiance is a seamless blend of historical richness and modern luxury, making it an ideal retreat for those seeking a unique and enchanting experience. We highly recommend the museum tour. It’s not every day that one gets to explore the hidden treasures behind the hotel’s locked doors. The tour was not only informative but also captivating, providing insights into the hotel’s illustrious history and its significance in the region.

I hate to do it, but I left a bit meh here. It wasn’t the worst, but not the best either. The museum itself felt more like a gift shop to me. So many items for purchase. Souvenirs galore. While they did have some really cool items on display I left fast and bored. They do have some tours for purchase that can get you into the Inn, but no photography is allowed on the tour. I did not go in the tour so I can’t review that part, but I myself was in and out of the museum in under 20 minutes. I was greeted on entry, but other than that the employees just sat and talked amongst themselves.

Cemeteries
Riverside National Cemetery, located near the March Field Air Museum, is a significant resting place for veterans. As the third-largest cemetery operated by the National Cemetery Administration, it offers solemn grounds and ample space for eligible members of the armed forces to be buried. Established in the mid-1970s and spanning 1,250 acres, this serene site opened on Veterans Day in 1978 and now holds over a quarter of a million graves.
My mother's Air Force funeral service was exactly what she would have wanted. It was dignified and paid honor to her time serving her country. I especially want to thank Ester, who works for the cemetery. She was professional and made us all feel respected. The Air Force representatives who folded my mom's flag and saluted her were women. It warmed my heart to see that, because I know it would have made my mom proud. I especially loved it when Ester announced that my mom's military service paved the way for future generations of women in the Air Force. THANK YOU!

Beautiful place. Full of history. Full of Hero’s. I understand this place has 320,000 veterans resting here with capacity to hold 2 million. Their Medal of Honor Memorial is simple and very humbling. The names of every Medal of Honor recipient etched into their marble walls. My uncles name is on the wall and my father and father in law are buried here. This place is humbling. The aircraft from March Air Force Base next door fly over this place and adds to the pageantry. When the flags are placed on all the grave sites on Veterans Day, it is a site to behold. I get overwhelmed with the feeling of pride. There is history here everyone should visit and experience regardless of having family placed here or not. I hope you will visit. On weekdays there is plenty of help and the place is well organized. They have a 6 staging areas for services. The guard at the guard shack will direct you. BUT, On the weekends the offices are closed. If you don’t know where the gravesite is you are visiting, the best bet is to go to the offices. They will be closed but there is a kiosk next to the front entrance that can direct you to the gravesite. They will direct you to a “section”. But the sections are not clearly market out. And It is a large place so patience is a nessesary. After you find out the section you Then download a map on your phone from the official website to find the area. I have run across a few people who were frustrated trying to find their family grave sites. So try to find out all the information you can before you get there on the weekends. Or best bet is to plan on going during the week when the offices are open. Good luck.

The Riverside National Cemetary, located in Riverside, California is a terrific visit for the family, patriots, families and tourists to the area! Riverside National cemetery is home of the Medal of Honor Memorial and one of four sites recognized as a National Medal of Honor Memorial Site. The Medal of Honor Memorial, whose walls feature the names of all medal recipients, is located at the third traffic circle in the cemetery. It was dedicated in 1999. The Fallen Soldier/Veterans' Memorial, erected in 2000, is dedicated to all service members who gave the ultimate sacrifice for their country. Nestled in the heart of Riverside, the Fox Performing Arts Center is a stunning example of Spanish mission-style architecture that has been captivating audiences since its inception in 1929. Originally opened as a movie theater, it famously hosted the premiere of 'Gone with the Wind' during its early years. After undergoing an extensive renovation, this iconic venue has transformed into a premier destination for live performances, showcasing everything from Broadway revivals to concerts and classic films.
Such a wonderful venue with historic ambiance. The Riverside Fox Theater is absolutely beautiful! Dark woods, rich carpet, and stunning lighting all add to the experience. The staff there is very helpful and accommodating. Parking could not have been easier as the lot is adjacent to the theater and pricing was very reasonable for the event.

I attended the David Bisbal concert on May 22nd and while the performance itself was amazing, the experience afterward was incredibly disappointing and upsetting. After leaving the venue, I realized I had accidentally left one of my two phones behind. About 15 minutes away, I checked my “Find Device” app and saw the phone was still at the venue. I drove back immediately. By then, the venue was closed, but I found a crew member outside. He was kind enough to go inside and check, then came back and told me a phone had been found but was locked in the office, and the office staff had already left for the night. He advised me to follow up the next day. However, the next morning when I checked the device location again, my phone was no longer at the venue — it was at a residential address roughly 30 minutes away. It’s now clear to me that someone from the staff likely took it home, which is unacceptable. Since then, I’ve tried contacting the venue through every possible channel — email, all of their social media platforms, and through the Lost and Found instructions listed on their website. It’s now been almost 30 days and I haven’t received a single response. This is not the level of professionalism or accountability anyone should expect from a venue. I have attached screenshots of my phone’s location to support this and demand someone from management contacts me immediately. This situation needs to be addressed.

EXCELLENT VENUE & SERVICE! The Fox Theater has the same retro vibes as LA’s Pantages Theater. It’s got dim lights, classic fuzzy red seats, and plenty of concession areas. The restrooms are easy to find and there’s excellent signage across the theater. I love the amount of stairs you find here, it gives a regal feel and “elevated” experience (see what I did there!). Snacks looked good and there’s plenty of alcohol options. If you’re feeling extra spendy and want to enter the building early, you can spend $30 for VIP entry to the bar and a special waiting area. My only issue with this venue is the speakers. We came for “Benise: 25 Years of Passion!”, we sat upstairs only to find that the speakers were totally off! It greatly affected the experience and sound quality. The upstairs crowd was dead, I’m guessing this was a factor? The Fox is right next to the Game/Food Lab, it’s a perfect hub of activity on a Saturday night. There’s an exit at The Fox which leads you right up to the Food Lab’s entrance! We stopped for ice cream after the show. I’m really impressed with The Fox’s location, it’s right in the heart of Downtown Riverside and a plethora of hotels.

If you love an intimate venue for theatre, music and arts, put this theatre in your go to venue. Sound and every view from your seat is great.Comfy chairs and no folding at all. Another bonus no one seems to stand up because the view is so good although you can dance in the aisles. Parking on the street is painless and cheap. Drinks as usual are over priced but tasty.

Saw Jason Mraz at the Fox Performing Arts Center last night—amazing show! The theater itself is absolutely stunning, and the sound quality was top-notch. The staff at the bars and the ushers were all very friendly and helpful, which made the experience even better. That said, it was quite warm inside, and the seats are definitely on the tighter side. Still, it’s a beautiful venue with great acoustics and an awesome atmosphere for live music.

Nice old school theater. Friendly staff. Decent leg room.
Jarret R — Google review
Couldn't see the stage because people in the front rows stood the entire concert and nothing was done even when we asked the venue staff. Floor seating is flat, no on an incline. Drink prices are crazy high! Be prepared to pay through the nose. No cash accepted. Not a full bar at all. If by chance you happen to lose an item there don't expect to get it back. Staff isn't helpful at all. I became separated from my phone. Find my phone app. shows it's still inside the venue but they say they don't have it. When I called to inquire about my phone I was asked to describe it and to give them my pin code. Seriously?!! Only way you're getting my pin code is when I'm standing there to pick it up. Anyway, this experience has left a pretty poor taste in my mouth. I didn't pay money to watch the back of people's heads, I paid to SEE Ritchie Kotzen. Much better show for the price at House of Blues.

I use to come here when I was younger and it’s changed a lot. Now they have a splash pad water park which use to be a parking lot for the arcade…that’s a nice change. I love the shade the trees provide as you’re walking towards the mini golf and arcade, that was great they kept those trees! Back in the day there were magic shows but I don’t see that they have it anymore. The park looked clean and well maintained! Keep in mind it is a cashless park. Overall it was a good experience coming here with my kids!

I was surprised at how fun some of the rides are. The staff were all friendly. Some of the monsters were even paying catch with my son with a ball that he was able to get from the grabber machine in the arcade. The food was pretty good as well. Going to be going back for some miniature golf. Highly recommend Castle Park for a day out with the family.

Visitors can explore diverse landscapes with interpretive signs identifying plants from various ecosystems. With a butterfly garden and turtle pond, this botanical garden provides a vibrant collection of experiences showcasing flora and fauna from around the world.
I've been here 2 times now, and I absolutely love it. It's an escape from the desert life and very lush. It has a lower level that is where the flower and rose gardens are which could be suitable for being pushed in a manual wheelchair or electric. The ground is hard to roll on but not concrete or asphalt. There is also a long steep trail that goes uphill and all the way around with great views of the area, trees, and plants from all over the world. There are seats to rest on all throughout the gardens if you get tired and and spacious bathrooms in a few places as well. There just isn't another place like this, I just love it. The staff is very kind and informative. The best time to go is early morning right when they open so you can hear all the birds, also for cool temperatures.

The Van Buren Drive-In Theatre and Swap Meet, located in Riverside, California, is a historic drive-in theater that has been operating since the 1960s. With outdoor screens and a nostalgic atmosphere, it offers a unique cinematic experience. In addition to screening new blockbusters during the summer months, it also hosts Swap Meet markets.
This was my second visit to this place, but this time, the experience was truly exceptional. Not only did the security personnel diligently patrol the premises, ensuring a safe environment, but they also went above and beyond by jump-starting my SUV. Initially, I was concerned about having to call someone for assistance, but I decided to approach the snack store and ask one of the employees. To my surprise, they were incredibly helpful and friendly. The restrooms are always immaculately clean, and overall, it’s a fantastic place to bring the kids, just like it was when I was a child. Went here for the swap meet. Come early to avoid the heat, as it can get pretty warm later in the day. Lots of vendors and a great variety of items, but I was especially impressed with the great deals on plants. Definitely worth checking out if you're into gardening or just enjoy browsing for bargains.

Van Buren Drive-In is one of the very few in the area and one of the last Drive-Ins remaining. Though the screen can be very dark and difficult to see during moody movies (trying to watch the last Pirates of the Caribbean was migraine inducing) it's a lot of fun to go with the kids for a lighter movie. For $9 ($1 for children) there are few ways to spend a summer evening with kids that are better than camping chairs and snacks at an outdoor movie. The Concessions Stand has a vast selection in case you did not pack enough. Update... Adult prices are $10 and the days of double and triple features may be over but it is still a fun way to spend an evening.

While the museum is still closed, they are very involved in the community through events and operating their other priorities (the Heritage House and Harada House). There's still a lot to see from the outside. The architecture of the building is Italian Renaissance. They have a miniature statue out in front of the museum also.

Kind of small, but the exhibits are good quality. Don't expect to spend more than an hour and a half here though. The nature lab is also a fun little activity for children when it is open.

This is Riverside's humble little museum. It does have interesting exhibits on the history of Riverside city and county. The local history even covers the varied Native people from the Cahuilla, Serrano, and Luiseno Bands of Indians. The cultural artifacts on display are good examples of Native ingenuity and craftsmanship. And, Don't forget to see the Biological displays of our local flora and fauna up stairs. The gift shop also has some rare and hard to find books for sale.

The photography exhibit upstairs is interesting, and gives a good perspective of Riverside as it grew into the city it is today. Unfortunately thought, the bottom floor is pretty small, with a real limited offering.

Been coming here for years. I've noticed the exhibits have gotten smaller. Very clean friendly people there always willing get to help you.

Admission is free, and there is a lot to see. The variety is nice, ranging from nature, animals, natives, general area history, and more. Great place to visit.

Nice artifacts from the past 18th century.Different eras of mammals that existed a long time ago.Very intriguing. I like the small shop with different planatonic stones.

Rubidoux Drive-In Theatre is a fully-restored and renovated drive-in theater located near California Citrus State Historic Park. It is one of the few operational drive-in theaters in the U.S., offering movies throughout the week and a variety of concessions for visitors to enjoy. The theater has three screens, each showing two movies every night, providing ample entertainment options for moviegoers. Guests can bring lawn chairs and blankets or opt for car seating with no obstructions to their view of the screen.
Nice drive in theatre, you connect to the radio and watch the movie from your car and it cost 10 dollars per person

SWAP-MEET I sell there. U guys should come pass by some time 6.A.M.-3.P.M. Tues & Thurs only personally get those 2 days to sell used close but very nice quality I 0 7 Thanks. TUESDAY Through Sunday they open.

Always a great time with the family here, with a great price for 2 movies. I do suggest using a portable speaker to avoid a dead battery... Snack bar is decent with a few options, but they only lose a star because of those disgusting restrooms. The Mens restoom is notoriously filthy, never seems to look like it's been cleaned as long as I have gone here. We make sure to use them elsewhere before coming!

Swap meet selling experience- $49 selling fee for Saturday, 10/18 and it had a Facebook promo for Halloween - for one their marketing is horrendous, over 50 years in business or whatever it may be and their social media pages are either small or non existent. No marketing and no sense of thriving business to bring more traffic I took spot q4 entry time was 5am, I kid you not, trucks came fully loaded and they were taken back fully loaded, this isn’t a business, the sellers are giving away free money, in the row of Q I saw estimated 50-70 people max, walking by since 5 am to 3 pm, there is no buyers, and $50 fee? Imagine can’t imagine all the daily sellers, they don’t make money, they don’t understand numbers and see revenue as profit - Sellers with double location started picking up at 1 pm over at R4,5 and neighbor q5,6 The business is dead, and the owners don’t care and look out for the sellers, I brought in a full truck with clothing, authentic sneakers, cheaper second hand clothing, accessories and more, well decorated and brought candy for the kids, THERE ISNT any kids, this is a marketing issue

Great way to remember days of past. Awesome experience to watch a movie from your car or better yet from lawn chairs on a nice warm night

This swap-meet is conveniently located off the freeway. The parking lot is small and fills up fast but there is an opportunity to park across the street for $1. Lots of vendors and reasonable prices.

This is a great drive-in. Brings back memories. I had fresh popcorn with real butter. I went here August 9, 2025. It was a great experience again Like last time I fell asleep during both movies and woke up to the guy kindly knocking on my window I'm not sure who trains them on the technique but I endorse the technique and applaud them. I'll be back to try to see the movies again😁

Pretty awesome place, recently attended their Weekend Swap Meet event, plenty of food vendors and several little shops. Loved it for the most part. Would recommend visiting if you're looking to purchase collectibles or other small items. Most of the items here are used, so find a few vendors with affordable prices. Everyone here likes to over price their items, for example; $3 for a churro. Large parking lot, even bigger lot inside. Surrounded by homes and a few restaurants. Would recommend arriving early if you want to find a parking spot closer to the entrance. Great place for families, would definitely recommend stopping by. Be aware there is a charge or cover fee at the gate to enter their swap meet event.

Mountain peak
Mt Rubidoux, situated in Riverside, California, spans 161 acres and is home to the first Easter Sunrise Service in the United States. The mountain offers paved hiking trails with historical landmarks such as a cross and provides stunning city views from its summit. It is known for its accessibility and is considered one of the best accessible hiking areas in the Inland Empire. While it's famous for the Easter Sunrise service, it also offers year-round opportunities for a great hike with panoramic views over the city.
Spectacular views of Riverside. Best place for a hike in the entire IE. Really great spot for a tough walk up and down the mountain/hill. Awesome place for an extremely tough jog up and down. Would love to go up there on a particularly windy day, so that all of the smog blows away.. I’ll bet the views are much better without smog. My pictures have a little bit of smog in them, but not too bad. PSA/ People, please STOP playing music from your mobile speakers. You’re ruining the peace for the rest of us. Even worse when it’s Spanish music. Stop. Seriously stop.

Great views, and an easy hike except for the grade. Join your neighbors, it was a great day!

You can return repeatedly and never, ever, grow weary of it. Enjoy views, sunrises, sunsets. There's a dog park on the north side at Carlson Park. The Santa Ana River bed sidewalk is next to it. Follow it into San Bernardino. The mountain is inspiring, with plaques/tributes for those who dedicated their life's efforts to the mountain. From every direction, you are rewarded with spanning views, from the city of Riverside, the Santa Ana riverbed, Mt. Baldy, and nearby Fairmont park. Dogs allowed on leash, shared, paved paths for pedestrians and bicycles. Parking: dog Park (Carlson) or downhill at Ryan Bonaminio park.

Absolutely stunning! Can't believe I haven't been before as an IE resident. Once you reach the top there are 2 main areas to explore. The large Serra Cross and a large USA flag both with quite steep steps above the paved path followed by a bit of rock scrambling. After there is the Peace Tower along one side of the paved path. If you go on the afternoon like I did, definitely make your way up to view the cross from the other side with the sunlight for the best view (and up close too). From my understanding the most direct way to the top from the trailhead is to take the paved path and stay left along the hill, curving up and around the hill till you see a short wooden bridge. Its kinda an intersection of all 4 main paths, but just cross the bridge and you will end up at the cross further up and to the right. Even though the main path is paved it is fairly good incline, both when arriving at the trailhead from Ryan Bonaminio Park and as you continue ascending. Do wear comfortable shoes, and even during 70° weather it was dry and warm so dress accordingly and bring water. I only wish visitors would better clean up after themselves and their pets! There are trash cans and waste bags there should be no excuse to trash such a lovely place 🙏

Great park. Nice hike and views. Went early so the heat was not too bad.

The City of Riverside, in Mt Rubidoux Park, has awesome fireworks every July 4th and 2025 was no exception. The Park is closed during the fireworks, but they are well seen in many areas of the city and surrounding areas. Often, there is an associated controlled burn which keeps the flammable brush in the Park under better control and is quickly subdued but easily seen.

Mountain Rubidoux hiking trail was absolutely awesome. My family and I love to hike and this place is now one of our favorite places. Its paved trail, short cut side trails, rock hiking spots and amazing views of the surrounding cities is what will make us come back for sure. It is also a pet friendly place, and very friendly people hiking along you. Loved it.!!
Maria D — Google review
Great hiking trails with views of Riverside and the surrounding communities. Paved perimeter and summit loop trails make it an easy walk. Popular area, but plenty of parking nearby. The trail is dog friendly as long as your pup is well behaved and leashed.
