At this point we were starting to realise what kind of company we had booked with, and called the reception to ask for a full refund, since we didn’t get the room we had booked. Absolutely no mercy. We called booking.com, where we made the booking, no mercy either. We walked back to the reception, and still no option of a refund, but they offered a better place; “the pent house”. We would just have to wait about 15 min, and then an employee would drive us, they really tried sweet talking us, at this point, and offered us drinks from the bar next door. We ended up waiting outside in 38 degrees for 1,5 hours, before they finally drove us to the new place. We left and stood homeless on the street at midnight. And note, this village does not have any taxis, uber or similar. We luckily found another (much more expensive) hotel, and went back to reception the next day to hand in the keys, and again ask for a refund. The “CEO” turned really unfriendly, and even though we were promised a refund for the first night (which would go through booking.com), we’ve never seen a penny.
