(Translated by Google) A very enjoyable discovery of the marsh by electric boat. A 1-hour 45-minute guided tour, very interesting and well-informed. The captain and guide are also full of humor. A very enjoyable experience, even in the light rain that day. Not to be missed!!! (Original) Une découverte très agréable du marais en bateau électrique. In any case, bravo for the organization. (Original) Accueil très sympathique. Et merci pour le kit Toutou. Le nôtre a bien apprécié ses croquettes et nous les sacs à crottes. (Translated by Google) The people at the office are very pleasant, unfortunately what a disappointment in the organization. Shuttles without hours on intermediate stops. Events canceled even though the office tells us the location. Camps not yet set up. Communication needs to be reviewed, especially for this type of event. Great disappointment to have spent my day looking for information and to arrive at the scene and see nothing. The traders do not seem any more aware of what is happening in the city. Organization to be reviewed especially given the number of people traveling. Really a shame because I'm sure it's all worth the trip.

Nestled along the stunning coastline of Normandy, the National Nature Reserve Beauguillot is a serene haven where land and sea beautifully intertwine. This coastal and wetland reserve not only boasts breathtaking views of the Bay of Veys but also serves as a sanctuary for diverse birdlife and playful seals. As you stroll along its main trail, you'll find well-placed observation shelters that invite you to immerse yourself in the tranquility of nature while watching marsh birds in their natural habitat.
What a beautiful nature research next to a historical Yuta beach. After our visit to a museum of the Yuta Beach, we walked the nature reserve going backwards that all the American soldiers did on D-Day. The marshlands and the long wide beach were very calm opposite to the day.

Camping La Baie Des Veys is a beachfront campsite that welcomes visitors from April to September. It boasts a heated pool, bar, playground, and entertainment facilities. Guests can choose to stay in tents or cottages, both of which offer spacious pitches and access to electricity. The flat pitches make setting up easy with the help of pegs. The campsite provides well-maintained washing facilities with constant hot water availability.
We went camping there for a couple of days. It was a really nice stay. Toilets and showers are always clean. Staff is nice and helpful. There are many small and nice villages around and the D-Day history can be experienced in many places nearby. Definitely a recommendation and a must stay during our next trip to Normandy!
Hans M — Google review
Excellent attention by the owners. The accomodations are great and very private as each great dividers of bushes. The bathroom facilities spotless clean and plenty of hot water. Would recommend it without a doubt.
Manuel B — Google review
This campsite is truly charming. It offers wonderful, well-balanced pitches where everyone, from truck campers to caravans and motorhomes, can find a perfectly level spot. It is ideally located for exploring the various attractions around Utah Beach and Omaha Beach, as well as the entire range of World War II sites. We were warmly welcomed, and communication in English was absolutely no problem for us at all. In summary, I can recommend this campsite to people who especially want to visit the sights around Utah and Omaha Beach, as well as other places relevant to D-Day.
Surfer ( — Google review
A really nice campsite. Vey clean facilities and nice big pitches. Bar and restaurant looked good but we didn't try them. Pool also looked nice. It's a very quiet site and well kept. However, there's no loo roll, soap or even toilet seats - which is annoying and a bit gross. Also, reception is shut from 12pm to 3pm and you cannot park during this time. This was not communicated. It was clear reception would be closed but not that we would be unable to pitch up. We arrived shortly after 12pm and phoned but we had to wait outside until 3pm. I've never ever had that from the hundreds of campsites I've stayed at. There's usually a sign with a pitch number if reception is closed which works perfectly - we had booked so they knew we were coming. Very very poor. Also no gray waste. I was told I could empty it with a bucket in the toilet - it was raining so I didn't bother. I hate to leave a negative review and if it was just the campsite it would be five stars but it has to be on the experience we had and service recieved which was unfortunately lacking.
Emma A — Google review
Quite an expensive journey, at 36€ for a place in a field for a van for 1 day. No soap and toilet paper anywhere. (You would expect that at this price.) Toilets were new, but all in cheap plastic, you could expect these to be in a terrible state very soon. Staff were openly complaining in front of customers, about retirement, showing a complete disrespect for those customers contributing to their retirement. They would not accept credit card below 10€, complaining again about how much it costs. They ask you to push the shower button only 3 times to save them water. If they cared about water consumption, maybe they would offer less meat based dishes in their restaurant.
Nicolas M — Google review
Great camp site near Utah Beach. The facilities are clean - sparkling clean! The hosts are lovely and kind. The camp ground is well maintained with lots of beautiful plants. We only stayed for one night, but I wish we had stayed longer because it was really nice.
Alexandra L — Google review
Very nice campsite. Nice Little Restaurant.
Anne — Google review
We stayed with a tent. There is lots of room on a pitch and electric is available. The pitches are flat and take a peg easily. Washing facilities are always clean and always have hot water available. There is an onsite cafe/restaurant/bar which is very friendly with a good choice of food. There is an outdoor heated pool, great for that rfreshing dip. All in all the campsite is a tranquil place tucked away in a corner of Normandy ideal for family holidays exploring the historic sights and beaches. We will certainly be back.

Aire Camping-Car Park is a convenient spot for motorhome parking near the Normandy Victory Museum. It offers 12 spacious pitches and a service point close to the entrance. Booking in advance using the app is recommended due to limited spaces. The location is close to village shops and the marina, making it an ideal choice for visitors exploring Caen. Despite its small size, this aire provides all necessary services and tends to fill up quickly due to its popularity among campers.
Perfect location, tucked in quiet area next to campsite. All services worked well and fills up fast. 👍
Lucy K — Google review
It was in a very scenic place but very noisy from lorries until 10:00pm and started again at 7:00am. If you're interested in skating or skateboarding, they have a good skate park and near a fishing lake.
Stuart K — Google review
Beside a lovely little village lack of WiFi stops from giving 5 stars
Robert S — Google review
We booked in advance using the app and then used our card to tap-in, which was good and is always a straight forward way to use the camping-car aires. With only 12 spaces it really is advantageous to book in advance if you can. The machine which allows you to buy the camping-car card wasn't actually working so there were several disappointed people with motorhomes who couldn't get in when we arrived. The aire is pleasant enough, with good sized pitches and the service point close to the entrance. The nearby town is a short walk away as is the canal and a fee restaurants and cafés. So it is a really convenient location. Also ideal for a stop-over either travelling from or to the nearby ferry port of Cherbourg which was only a short 60 to 90 minute drive away depending on how fast or slow you drive. The electric on all pitches that were being used (10 out of the 12) all appeared to be working. The site is well maintained and we found to be very serviceable, it provided what we needed and we'd certainly stay there again.
Tim G — Google review
Close to all village shops and the marina, which compensate for the outlook! Good choice for Caen. Photo of marina on a somewhat wet day - apologies!
Barbara N — Google review
Needs upgrading especially the surface around the service point which is just a large muddy puddle. Next to Camping Haut-Dick which had not opened for the season so quiet but would be noisy when occupieed. Carentan marina is nice with a good flat walk around the canal basin - 4km.
Ken O — Google review
Arrived at Aire bought a card and paid for one night, it all went bad after that ! Got soaked trying to get into Aire as card failed to work and Customer service proved impossible to get hold of despite 25 calls and emails. Left Aire not knowing if I'd been charged or not. Very disappointed !!. I did however receive a call 4 hrs later by a very helpful lady who sorted things out. Thank goodness

Maison du Parc offers bike rentals, including mountain bikes and e-bikes, from mid-June to mid-September. Visitors can also join guided outings with knowledgeable environmental mediators for a better understanding of Cotentin's natural riches while respecting nature.
(Translated by Google) This was the highlight of our vacation in the Cotentin Peninsula! After a boat ride from the nearby Port Jourdan pier, we headed to the park's entrance. Admission is €5, free for students, and valid throughout the calendar year. This provides access to several walking trails, with plenty of observation points for spotting birds (very numerous, especially near the lake), squirrels, cows, nutria, and muskrats. The setting is simply magnificent. The route is clear and the information panels are accessible. We will return on a weekend to continue the walk and see other birds at other times of the year. We highly recommend it! Despite the limitations imposed by Covid regulations, the availability of plants and bulbs for purchase at Château Bellenau is easily accessible. The staff members are not only charming but also exceptionally helpful when it comes to all things related to plants. Unfortunately, due to a hip problem, the gardens were off-limits during my visit; however, other visitors highly praised their beauty.
Château Bellenau with its amazing fairytale like garden is located only a few km from D-day‘s Utah beach in the lovely Normandy coast of France. The garden I found to be a good respite from the D-day touring activities. A sort of guns to roses activity where the tranquility of the garden with the chirping of the birds and the wind flowing thru the tops of the trees made this a highlight of my Normandy vacation. I don‘t say this lightly, since I‘m not a gardener, but thanks to my garden loving travel companion, I really enjoyed seeing the cave, brooks, trees, vegetation, and numerous plants there. The garden even had giant sequoia trees and on the many trails leading thru the garden there were benches to sit on to relax and reflect. It took me two hours to do the garden but my friend said she could have spent the whole day there. The proprietor of the chateau, an English speaking Dutch couple, also sold plants from the garden, one of which my friend bought and hauled back to Germany and is now planted in her garden. The property also has a Bistro where coffee, wine, beer, Softdrinks and snacks are sold . Based on hearsay information there is also a possibility to rent rooms there and/or go horseback riding, western saddle style on or near by. Looking forward to visiting this place again soon.

Despite Covid restrictions ,easy access to plants and bulbs for sale Very charming staff and most helpful regarding plants etc. Unable ( due to hip problem) to visit gardens which were open and according to other visitors very beautiful. Hope to return in May, restrictions allowing. A beautiful place.

Beautiful place. Only sad that we could not reserve a place there this year for the commemoration

Interesting gardens with a range of unusual trees, water features and follies. Chateau itself is a sleeping beauty. Great range of plants for sale on site by Rapmund Bulbes et Plantes
