Nestled in Surrey, BC, Redwood Park is a tranquil oasis that beckons nature lovers and families alike. This enchanting park features picturesque trails that meander through majestic redwood forests, lush groves, and open meadows—ideal for leisurely walks or delightful picnics with loved ones. Among its charming attractions is a whimsical fairy garden hidden within the towering trees, captivating both children and the young at heart with its ever-growing collection of tiny fairy houses.
A place we visit often - beautiful park and love the fairy garden. Family and stroller friendly. Lots of parking and hard to get lost. Last time we went we did come across a few very muddy areas with no ways around so don't bring nice shoes and bring a extra pair of socks. Of course to be expected since it outdoors but has been many times and never had the issue so we're underprepared.
Katelyn M — Google review
This is a very pretty park, we visited during a rain shower but still lovely. Ideal place for dogs and children with lots of open space and picnic tables. Well maintained walking trails and ample parking.
Jenn L — Google review
One of the BEST parks our family has been to! Shade, shade, shade! The forest was a treat. We stayed for 3+ hours playing, walking, and delighting in the fairyland! Don’t miss this one if your family likes playing outside.
Caroline M — Google review
Amazing park!! Loved the Fairy Garden with all the little houses. Amazing little houses, even more than the last time we were here. Great playground for the kids, great trails. Also has public restrooms.
Shawna S — Google review
Absolutely beautiful park packed with Redwoods and other amazing trees. Well maintained and very peaceful. Great place to bring the kids to expend energy as there is a play area as well as a fairy village. There are relatively clean and accessible public washrooms but they are quiet old. Great sheltered seating areas for those short notice showers or BBQ sunny days.
Gareth G — Google review
Short 10-15 min trails makes a decent stroll with toddlers, strollers, and seniors. There are multiple picnic areas depending on what context you're going for: by the playground, own larger field, views, etc. The diversity of tall trees in the park makes an interesting walk. Other highlights: Meadows, treehouse, stroller/wheelchair access playground feature, vast bird house displays. We'd come here again for the picnic and stroll.
Angel A — Google review
Went for a walk here with my husky today. All around beautiful, nice clean well maintained bathrooms, a huge plus. Playground looks nice, I'm sure my kids will love it when I take them next time. Trails were nice, albeit a tad covered in debris and I was hoping it would be a bit bigger to navigate around. But all around really enjoyable. Will definitely be back.
Ardi N — Google review
Such a fun experience here! Walking amongst the redwood trees is a beautiful experience. The hut was closed when I visited, but the park has abundant picnic spots and is very accessible for everyone. The fairy forest most definitely stole the spotlight away!

It’s that wonderful time of the year again🎉🎄 what a great way to start the Christmas feeling. Loved the walk through the lighted trail. We go to the park quiet often and to see it light up so beautifully was awesome. Plus it’s free. Do enjoy the lights this year, only till 18 Nov 2022. They also have some food carts available. And you do need to prebook the visit times.
Chitra A — Google review
Bear Creek Park is an amazing park for your family to enjoy. This park has a lot things to do from a outdoor swimming pool, water park, soccer field, picnic areas, track and field, workout equipment, football field, seating for the football field, a train, mini golf, a flower garden and lots more.
Gurjot S — Google review
Large beautiful park in the heart of Surrey. The park has an athletic field, garden, kids playground and park. There is also a mini golf and train which we could not explore. The parking is spacious and lots of open slots on a Friday evening. The kids playground has a lot of equipment including a merry-go-round, different kinds of swings, see-saws, slides, spray park, etc. Only downside was the restrooms are being reconstructed and they have makeshift portable toilets. Overall, it is good and definitely worth a visit especially for the well-maintained garden.
Mir T — Google review
Very nice park with lots of various amenities. There's a train ride for the children, areas for picnicking including BBQ tables. Tennis courts baseball diamond a football field which is located in the middle of the 400m track, where people can run more briskly walk or stroll. Currently under construction is the new Surrey event Pavilion. This looks to accommodate approximately 2,200 people put the various events that they hold here in Surrey. What aspect of walking around the track that isn't so pleasant is the smell that comes from the sewage located at the entry to the track at the north east corner.
Kab K — Google review
I walk at this park with my dog on a daily basis. It takes me 2+ hours for a full and complete walk. It's very relaxing. You can see a lot of birds, squirrels, and people walking their dogs, and even rabbits. There's lots of small rivers. Many beautiful trees. There's also many tables for yourself to eat with family. A track field too where a lot of people go to. I'm always relaxed when I go hear with my dog. It's a pretty big park, and as a regular, I tend to almost always find something new. I'm grateful to have this park in my life.
Brian S — Google review
The miniature train was not operating today so my son was disappointed but he enjoyed playing in the playground. It has two play areas which my son really liked. It also has water park, mini golf and a garden.
NAIMA — Google review
Absolutely stunning park, very spacious and extremely beautiful. Plenty of play areas for children of different ages. Lovely walking route through the woods as well as a garden. Also has a small train for kids as well as mini golf! Come on a good day and bring yourself some outdoor chairs, snacks and drink and I guarantee you will spend the day here!

Unwin Park is an excellent recreational area for children, featuring a well-equipped playground and an outdoor swimming pool. During the summer months, visitors can also enjoy a water park. Additionally, the park offers several sports facilities such as baseball diamonds, batting cages, cricket fields, soccer fields, lacrosse fields, and basketball courts. For those planning special occasions like birthday parties or simply looking to relax outdoors in good weather, Unwin Park provides three picnic shelters and ample grassy areas.
My family and I recently visited Unwin Park and I must say it was an incredible experience for both the kids and us adults! The variety of activities available is fantastic. There are slides, swings, climbing structures, and even a splash pad that kept the kids entertained for hours. The layout of the park is spacious, allowing plenty of room and green areas for children to run around freely without feeling overcrowded. The playground equipment is well-maintained and clean, which made us feel comfortable letting our little ones explore. One of the highlights was the creative play area, where kids could engage in imaginative play with different themed sections. It was wonderful to see our children’s faces light up as they navigated through these areas, making new friends along the way. The park also has plenty of shaded seating areas and picnic tables for picnics and birthday parties. Parents can relax while keeping an eye on their kids. Overall, Unwin Park exceeded our expectations. It’s a perfect destination for families looking to spend a fun-filled day outdoors. We’ll definitely be returning soon!!

The park offers a variety of amenities, including playgrounds, picnic areas, soccer fields, baseball diamonds, and tennis courts. There are also jogging trails and green areas where you can take a walk or just relax in nature. The park is especially attractive to children due to its large playgrounds with a variety of slides and play structures. In the summer, the park offers areas with water attractions, making it a great place to visit on hot days.

First time visiting this playground. Looks amazing. Some equipment showing signs of wear and tear but overall it's a wonderful playground. Too early in the year to experience the splash park but excited to return.

Wow, love this park! The most fun park i ever visited. I've been visit a lot belive me and this one was so cool with a lot of play structures that some I haven't seen before so my babies had such a bless time here. This is really good new playground for us since we live in south surrey seldom to come Newton area for fun. Our first time to come this playgroup. All facilities are quiet new and maintained well. Space is big enough, my kids were so happy to explore this new playground. The musical instruments and seesaw are very unique, the kids who were 5 -12 years can find the right one suitable for themselves. Around playground there are a couple picnic table, basketball and baseball playground. Water park and outdoor swimming pool. We will recommend our friends who would like to explore new playground to come to try. We will come again during summer time.
Melissa M — Google review
Unwin Park at Surrey has a tot lot play area, some music instruments and a huge climbing tower for older kids to play with. Even though the playground can be pretty hot during Summer time, but there are lots tree shades around. The other side of the playground also has a water spray park and a public pool. My kids had so much fun that they didn't want to leave! This park even have public washrooms, don't need to worry about it!
Ryukyu O — Google review
This was our first visit after some people recommended we check it out and we were very impressed. My three year old daughter ran around and had a ton of fun. It is aimed at 1-5 year olds with little advanced areas for older kids. It is equipped for kids of all levels, and is wheel chair accessible. We spent two hours there and my daughter wants to go back.

Hawthorne Rotary Park is a charming recreational area located in a residential neighborhood. The park offers various amenities such as a playground, spray pad, gardens, walking trails, picnic shelter, and washrooms. It's an ideal spot for families seeking relief from the summer heat with its water spray park and ample space for kids to play and expend their energy. Definitely one of the more popular parks in Surrey. I always see a busy parking lot and lots of people out and about this park. It's got everything. Walking trails. Wooded area. It's got grassy areas. A dog park at one end of the park. Ponds for birds and ducks. An amazing playground and a water park. I was here jogging through and there were lots of people on 🎄 out and about. The washroom here is very clean. A park with all of things you can do. Even EV charging station
WanderingNomadJunky — Google review
Beautiful park with children's playground. Nice big splash area and the restroom is located near it. Children were screaming and having fun in the playground. Lots of trees. There were also few ducks on the lake swimming around or resting on the log. It was nice overall.
NAIMA — Google review
This is a great place to go for a walk, exercise and walk your dog. There are short trails around and a small lake near the playground. There's a nice picnic area and a washroom nearby. There are a few parking spots nearby. Bring a snack, a hat or umbrella since there aren't many trees for shade. Fun place for adults and kids. Kids will love this place because there's a spray park and a huge playground.
Tony — Google review
Our go to park. It’s super natural. I love the aroma of tree, flowers and what not. Best for the walk. Must visit. We show owl even 🦉
Sarfraz I — Google review
This park is such a nice relaxing place to enjoy with your family and friends ! Lots of pay place swings activities for kids to explore. Kids love to play there at the water fun side as well. There are tiny trials there to walk around in the jungle side of this park. Totally calm and in the lap of nature place from the city hustle and bustle. I would definitely recommend visiting this beautiful park.
Sk K — Google review
A beautiful park with great play areas and splash park for kids. Lots of nice grass for picnics and quiet, shaded walking trails. A great place to walk the dog while waiting for the rest of the family to do their shopping at Guildford. I deducted one star because the off leash area isn't great and the park has no pet fountain.
Glen K — Google review
Very nice with quite a few ducks of several types. Nice trails that aren't too long. Nice playground for the children
Kab K — Google review
Hawthorne Rotary Park is a scenic neighbourhood park with a parking lot available. It’s a good sized park having areas for picnic, for kid’s playground with slides, swings, biking route, and for a manmade lake where ducks swim freely back and forth or rest on logs. The garden looks pretty and well maintained. Most importantly, the park is close to the city centre.

Tynehead Regional Park is a beautiful, peaceful spot that’s perfect for families and dog lovers alike. The trails are wide, well-maintained, and easy to navigate, making them great for all ages and activity levels. A true gem in the area!

Big thanks to everyone who maintains and develops this beautiful park—your work really shows. The park features designated off‑leash areas, a network of connecting trails, and multiple parking areas for easy access. Along the way there’s plenty of scenery and a calm, sustainable feel to the landscape. It’s the kind of place where you might wander a little and not mind it at all. Getting pleasantly “lost” here is part of the experience.
Danny T — Google review
The Missus and I walked the entire Metro Vancouver’s Tynehead Regional Park. There were a number of access points to the park and plenty of signage showing directions throughout. The dirt trails in the forested westerly portion provided shade from the warm sun and the terrain wasn’t too difficult to traverse for the average walker. The Tynehead perimeter trail covering the easterly portion of the park was relatively more open to the skies and paved for cycling. A fish hatchery and a dog park were also located on site. Toilet facilities were available at various locations. A nice park to visit and get your steps in.

Such a wonderful trail. I'd walk the trail here with my wife during summer and we'd always feel so refreshed after. Beautiful greenery and the smell of nature is just wow.

Beautiful and peaceful park with lots of benches to rest if needed. Not overly crowded, family-friendly park for sure... 👌 Very clean and well maintained as well.
Irfa P — Google review
This is a no brainer 5 star ⭐️. The park is absolutely gorgeous. There is ample parking and public washrooms/outhouse. There are areas for picnics. A dog park is here also. The Serpentine River flows through the park and has an annual salmon run. Enough with the basics. The park is full of amazing trails and views. You will not be disappointed with the huge trees 🌲 and all the greenery. It’s a refreshing place and brings peace to the soul. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our time here.

Fantastic park situated right in the middle of Surrey! There are multiple entrances, and all of them offer maps for quick guidance. There are many signs indicating the trails, restrooms, watercourses, picnic spots, and overall facilities in the park. You can probably spend the whole day there just walking and admiring wonders of nature.

Mud Bay Park in Surrey, British Columbia is a popular destination offering scenic shoreline trails along Boundary Bay. The park is known for its diverse range of waterfowl and serves as an important bird preservation area. Visitors can enjoy a 3-kilometer nature walk with stunning views, especially during sunset. Keep an eye out for seals and loons when the tide is high. Note that dogs, bikes, and horses are not allowed on the shoreline trails from fall to early spring.
Lots of construction going on but the trail is awesome for biking and walks. Views of the ocean are nice.
Sok B — Google review
A beautiful place to walk and lots of birds around. My 95 year old friend was even able to do it with her walker
Debbie P — Google review
Great park to get out for a stroll, there are plenty of great views from the shoreline. Dogs love it, lots of scents for them to check out as the park is abundant with wildlife (use a leash as the trails provide limited space to pass).
Tim K — Google review
I love this park! From the parking lot all the way to the delta boundary and then back through the view points is a quick 5.2km loop. I do this walk sometimes right after work. People I meet on the trail are friendly. Cons: Sometimes people don't pick up after their dogs. Traffic noise can be bothersome for some people. But I don't mind it.
Ryan P — Google review
It's an open seaside trail along the Boundary Bay. There is a nice breeze all along due to open space and proximity to the sea. Ideal for biking as well. We went there with a 2 year old. He didn't seem to enjoy much as there wasn't much variety along the trail. Also it can get a bit too sunny. There is construction at the parking site. There are no public washrooms but there is a portable toilet due to the construction site. It's not the best trail in this area although not a bad one for a one time try. There are boards with pictures of migratory birds. I guess it will be a great sight during the season.
Souvik B — Google review
One of my favorite places to take a stroll with the family. Beautiful views and easy enough to take a very enthusiastic toddler/little kid on. The walkway by the highway can get a bit noisy (obviously). Great place to take family, engagement, etc. pictures, too! Updating with summer pics :)
Josie M — Google review
Great park.. it's a bit out of the way to get to the entrance... The loop runs around the shoreline where you can enjoy views of the bay and the mudflats.. fantastic area for photography with the setting sun.. the area inside the loop is an ecologically sensitive area, so keep to the trails only.. the trail runs all the way along the shoreline to the boundary bay dike and beyond. Lots of mosquitoes after sundown, so plan accordingly. Do not go by the times mentioned on the Google maps listing. They list the Surrey city timings.. I have a picture of the park timings attached with this review. It is a great area for bird watching during the season and a good place to see some raptors as well
Arvindh R — Google review
The trail is gravelly and pretty flat. It's a bit narrow given the fact that it's used by cyclists, people with dogs, runners and regular walkers. There's ample parking space but it can quickly run out on good sunny days. Many sections are pretty close to the main road and with the traffic noise it feels you're on the road instead of on the trail. We saw a couple of eagles and other birds. So a good place for birds watchers. Overall a good place for a long walk amidst nature.

It’s a very nice park, I did not see an area of this parking lot but it is very easy to enter through various areas, the lake has species of colorful ducks, and also in one area you can see the beaver house. It has picnic tables and an area where people are usually fishing.

Really enjoyed the tranquil and paved trails of this park. There are different routes to walk around but everything is well labelled. There is a lake in the middle which is beautiful but not covered; otherwise the majority of the trails are covered by trees and is a great place to walk in the summer heat or during rainy days. There are also picnic areas to sit at and benches at different areas of the park.

A great spot in any and all seasons. Beautiful walking trails, either around the lake or thru the forested area, or even in the open fields. Every season brings something new to enjoy. There are often ducks at the lake. There are a few picnic tables added in the upper area overlooking the lake. Benches scattered about, a small dock to fish off, and just a great spot to enjoy some nature. No playground but my kids end up playing very organically, finding sticks to toss into the water, trees to explore and animals to watch. Nice change of pace from a typical afternoon at a playground :)
Ania K — Google review
Large peaceful park beautiful during all seasons. There is a small parking lot, as well as an overflow lot, but can be completely full during busy times. Lots of clearly marked gravel trails as well as several benches/picnic areas. The trails are paved well enough that it is accessible to strollers and wheelchairs. Most of them are fairly wide, but there are some smaller routes that can only comfortable fit single-lane pedestrian traffic. Sometimes there are people fishing in the lake. There are ducks and small fish in the pond. There are also supposedly beavers but I’ve never seen em. No designated off-leash area for dogs

Beautiful forest in the middle of the city. It has such a peaceful vibe to it. Good spot to spend an entire day or just a few hours walking on various trails. Large picnic area near the lake with benches around. The lake is restocked with fish every season for the fishing enthusiasts. Gentle easy trails to walk around and enjoy a quick break. Would definitely visit again

Blackie Spit, located in Surrey, Canada, is a nature park nestled on the shores of Boundary Bay near Crescent Beach. It offers a 5-km nature trail and an off-leash dog area. The park features sandy beaches, tidal flats, and salt marshes that showcase diverse coastal ecosystems. As part of the Pacific Flyway, it's renowned for bird-watching with opportunities to spot shorebirds and waterfowl such as sandpipers and yellow-rumped warblers.
Peaceful and quiet place to visit. I lived in Vancouver for over 20 years but it's my first time to visit Blackie Spit. It's a great place for walking with family. There is a dog swimming area where I found it very unique. There are some restaurants and bakery nearby, where I highly recommend people to visit as well. Search for Google review is always a good idea. This is how I found this place as well.

Beautiful park where you can go for a swim, a stroll, or check out wildlife. Sand and pebble beach. Be prepared with sunscreen as there is limited shade from trees. Parking may be difficult and it was very busy when we went on the weekend. No dogs permitted except in certain off-leash areas.
May Z — Google review
Nice place for stroll. Or day at beach if you get there early on a nice day. Tidal beach, so silty more than sandy. Parking is a nightmare when busy. Someone blocked us in yesterday, was an hour to get out. Dog friendly beach just before spit area. Spit is wildlife/bird protected and nesting area. So no kites, no drones or dogs.

I love Blackie Spit! It's beautiful! It's our favourite spot to walk our dog, picnic, and paddle board. Love the beach and the park, and also the beautiful neighbourhood. This place is a wonderful place to bring your family and your furry friend, and also for people who love photography.

Beautiful ocean location. Very busy but very pleasant. Everyone is polite and everyone has dog etiquette. There is an off leash area which is quite a good size. An under cover area if it rains. Lots of beach access and different terrain. Benches to chill and enjoy the view. Come sit and watch all the different dogs and their owners go by. Dip your feet in the ocean or just post up and have and insta photo shoot.

We took the dog here for a walk this evening with the famjam just before the sunset. The smell of the ocean and the sunset was amazing. Just a beautiful spot to go. Lots of people out enjoying the evening here as we were. The parking lot closes at 8pm (why so early!). Also dogs are only allowed here from September to May - so bring the mut here while you can lol. The sunset this evening was fantastic. Great way to spend the evening before the impending rain!

The beach and the park area were great. The park was kept very clean and had picnic tables. Bathrooms were nice and clean. The walk in the fresh air was amazing. There was beautiful homes along the water. What a great place for fishing crabs too. My friends and I had a great time there.

Very relaxing place to spend time and you do not have to exit your vehicle to enjoy the beautiful scenery. The sea water is very calm and you can watch boats and people on the water. There is a rental here for water crafts like boats and paddle boards if you want to try them out you can rent them per hour. This is a hidden gem worth visiting.

Serpentine Fen, located in Surrey, British Columbia, is a serene wetland park offering scenic trails and several viewing towers. In the summer, it's a favorite spot for dog walking with opportunities to see seals, fish, herons, and crabs along the river. Birdwatchers can enjoy a variety of interesting birds in the area. During winter, the floodplain freezes over providing an opportunity for outdoor ice skating.
A different kind of trail along the Serpentine River. Excellent spot for bird watching, plenty of duckies, and abundance of blackberry bushes along the way to snack on. The access is off King George Hwy when heading towards White Rock. Be careful with cars behind you come at full speed. My family enjoyed it thoroughly including my dog. The lookout tower at the end of the trail is a nice bonus providing a 360 view of the farms and park. Enjoy!!
Sanj S — Google review
What a good time walking around especially in the evening around sunset time. So gorgeous indeed! Have look out towers, 3 of them so cool! A lot of people fishing and one caught a big fish, we all were so excited to see that, so cool! We had such a happy time so will definitely go back! And now, my husband knows where to go for fishing..hehehe..

Such a beautiful view during sunrise. Fresh air and a clear pathway for walking. Even spotted a seal who went on their merry way after we had a staredown🤭
Mitzie — Google review
Nice place for an easy walk. Free parking just by the bridge. Nice to take your dog for a walk. The dog owners don’t pick up their dog poop, or you see the dog poop in bags left on the trail. Quite gross. The gravel makes it a bit difficult to ride your bicycle, and trying to ride on the grass will get twigs in your wheels. There are mosquitoes due to some still waters, so maybe wear long clothing and apply bug repellent - because the bites are really bad, bad allergic reactions. Overall, nice walk, and really good scenic views.
Eloho S — Google review
Over 175 bird species can be found in the park each year. Frequented by dog walkers. Located next to King George Boulevard and BC Highway 99. Small gravel parkade. Looped trail, approximately 1 hour to walk. Flat gravel trail alongside Serpentine River. Short section of canopied flat dirt trail. Three watch towers.
ERIC L — Google review
What more to say other than beautiful trails for a relaxing walk or slow bicyle cruising. You can see the water the moutains and the sunset. Only downfall is its also on farmland which will have manure fertilizer smell. Otherwise its also a sanctuary for many birds. Eagles and hawks are frequently spotted on trees. Herons and smaller birds such as ducks are also plenty.
Charles K — Google review
Beautiful spot ruined by irresponsible dog owners. We’ve been coming here for years for a quick scenic walk with our dog. Dogs are allowed but they must be kept on leash and there is very clear, very visible signage with this message in numerous spots. This is after all a wildlife preservation spot. We have noticed over the past year that the number of people who can’t be bothered to pick up after their dogs (yes, I do know the difference between dog poop and coyote poop) has increased. There’s also been a huge uptick in people who let their dogs roam free off leash and they become hostile, nasty and refuse to leash their dogs when reminded that the Fen is a wildlife sanctuary and on leash only. There are plenty of off leash parks/areas for your dogs to run. This isn’t one of them. Too bad irresponsible “I’m the only one who matters” people have ruined this once serene spot.
Kate K — Google review
Love biking here. Very quiet place. It’s owned by ducks unlimited and maintained by volunteers. Lots of birds take refuge here. Very hot in the summertime though as it’s flat open grasslands.

Edgewood Park is a newly opened playground located near 168 St and 22 Ave. It features unique slides built into the hillside, swings, natural wood climbing structures, boulders for climbing, and a stand-up teeter-totter. The park is perfect for both small and big kids with its modern playground sets. Visitors can enjoy the large slides surrounded by turf year-round and even slide down the hill when it snows.
Wow, so much fun for our first time here. What a cool park especially the long slide and the zipline. Eventually everything great here. We went in the evening so gorgeous sunset, love it! Beautiful indeed. Clean park. Even me I had so much fun with my kids too so will definitely go back It'll be great if they have a washroom.
Aom H — Google review
Hey this park/field has a lot of potential but at this point (Sept 2023) there's some work to do to get there. It's located in a nice residential area (new development). The park itself is still incomplete but the playground, multisport court, and soccer field is already in use. Once washrooms, fencing, and a proper parking area gets finalized this could be a family favorite 👍🏽.
Frank G — Google review
Cute little park with an amazing playground! By far the best playground I have come across! The two large slides surrounded by turf are amazing year round as they'll be the perfect hill to slide down when it snows. I would definitely recommend checking out this park. The street parking is not ideal as the surrounding roads are very narrow and squishy.
Celina S — Google review
Kids love the playground! Busy on the weekend m. There is also basketball court and table tennis / ping pong tables. Few Picnic tables. I remove 1 star because no dedicated parking lot and no washroom (as of this writing). Only residential area street parking.

New playground on the block! Yes, you heard it right, they just opened 2 months ago. Heard about this park from one of the mom and we decided to give it a try. It is located near 168 St and 22 Ave. Park is a little tricky to find but its on the other side of the small hill. Both small and big kids will enjoy this playground as they have new and modern playground sets. Only downside is there's no shades, they just planted small trees so if you are planning to be there for a few hrs be sure to bring an umbrella or a tent specially on a very sunny day. Basketball court is also available. Not sure if they have washrooms. Street parking is available.

Nice, beautiful park with lots of roofed picnic tables , clean washrooms, and several atmospheric public faucets . It's a wonderful walking/running place with well maintained flat trails. This trail is very well-maintained and easy to walk, making it perfect for a relaxed stroll or a bike ride. The parking lot is spacious, and the picnic tables and shelters are clean and in excellent condition. There’s also a restroom conveniently located midway along the trail. It’s not far from the ferry terminal, which makes it a great stop before or after a sailing. Dog friendly.

A group of us came for a Potluck Picnic In The Park, and we had a great time. We rented the Yellow Warbler Covered Picnic Tables ( first one on the far left of the Parking Lot ) Some of the people went for a walk around the area, and were pleased with the area and looking at the Mighty Fraser River as well. Washrooms were like a Camping style Washroom but we're clean and stocked well with TP lol. The Park has a lot of area to walk around in, and there's also a play area for kids also. We were so pleased with the area, and Covered Picnic Tables that will be definitely holding another get together there in the future. And I noticed that it seemed that the Park people even swept the Concrete before we arrived. And they also stopped by, and asked if we had any garbage we wanted to get rid of at the time. Great hidden area close by that many people don't even know about...

Surrey Bend Regional Park is a beautiful and relaxing spot tucked away near Fraser Heights, making it a great escape from the busyness of the city without having to travel too far. The park is thoughtfully designed with plenty of benches and picnic areas, so it’s easy to find a comfortable spot to sit back and enjoy the natural surroundings. Whether you’re visiting with family, friends, or just on your own, it offers a peaceful environment for everyone. The amenities here are also quite convenient. You’ll find clean washrooms, water taps, and even a mist shower that’s especially refreshing on warm summer days. These small touches make a big difference in creating a comfortable and enjoyable visit. One of the unique features of Surrey Bend is its connection to Barnston Island. The ferry that takes you across departs from here, adding an extra element of adventure for those who want to extend their outing and explore even more of the area. Overall, Surrey Bend is an excellent spot for picnics, leisurely walks, or simply spending time outdoors surrounded by greenery and water views. It’s a hidden gem in Surrey that’s worth visiting more than once.

The scenery is stunning — from dense forests to beautiful riverside views, every corner of this park feels serene and refreshing. There are plenty of spots to sit and relax, have a picnic, or just enjoy the sound of birds and flowing water. It’s also very family-friendly, with open areas for kids to run around and clean washroom facilities. What I love most is how quiet and calm it is — not overly crowded like some other parks. It’s the perfect place to recharge mentally and physically.

This was my first time visiting the park with my dog this afternoon. The walk was very enjoyable and not too many people on the path which was nice. You can still hear city noise throughout the walk but that's to be expected. A good chunk of the path is covered by trees that provide shade. Make sure to pack citronella spray for mosquitoes.

Beautiful green lush park along the city 🏙️ view. But it isn’t maintained nicely. You can find litter everywhere in the park even in the river water. I highly recommend to wear shoes and don’t go in water. Not safe for pets and children to play in sand as well.

Brownsville Bar Park is the perfect place to get the best view of bridges in Sunny. It’s a small but busy park where neighbouring residents come to fish in the river, party on the riverbank, and date in front of the beautiful sunset glow and bridge view. I especially like the poetic scene on the river: fisherman in a boat crossing under the bridge and geese leisurely swimming in line. This park is adjacent to Brownsville Pub. Today, November 17, 2021, I revisited the park, amazing at its autumn view and early sunset scenery.

Very convenient small park with a view of thr city, bridge , mountains n ocean. Park itself is not so big but good enough to walk ur dog around or take a stroll yourself. No rides or picnic benches but enough ground area to spread ur mat. There are benches to sit though. Small beach area where anyone can play with sand, dip ur feet in water or just enjoy a sun bath but no bonfires allowed. Pets on leash n definitely no party . Some people do it anyway but the trouble is big. Fines by parks n recreation staff so better stick with rules. Enough parking n outside bathroom . This park is great for a quick get away talk , thinking or just a small picnic.

One of the largest and newest libraries in Surrey city. I love the layout of inside. Many function area, room and study tables , clean and bright glass windows, city view of central area. Many parking spaces under ground. 2 hours free parking but need to register your plates number when you enter library . Good place for study and learning knowledge. Worthy to visit .

Wonderful building, not just the exterior but ambience and the lighting inside with enough seats, couches. Underground PARKING IS FREE, we didn't know this and paid for parking as we made entrance through wrong lift. Getting into the building can be little confusing as the parking doesn't have enough sign boards. Amazing staff, they are really helpful and proactive in approach, I came looking for a book , they saw my baby with me and explained about the programs for infants and gave a welcome kit for her . Great programs for all age groups.

Lovely building! The staff is super helpful and patient. I have used study room to take a virtual meeting and it was a nice experience. The balcony has barstools to sit on and work on your own laptop, iPads or phones. It's a very bright and spacious place with a separate kids section and a cafe. Free membership. Monthly events. Free LinkedIn Learning. Full of perks and that too for free! 100% recommend to readers and non-readers alike.

The architecture of the City Centre branch of Surrey Libraries is truly impressive! The open, multi-tiered design with its flowing curves and expansive skylights creates a bright, inviting atmosphere. The clever use of natural light enhances the modern aesthetic, while the spacious layout and thoughtful integration of communal areas make it both functional and inspiring. A stunning example of contemporary design.
H D — Google review
Not ideal for work, often quite LOUD and very minimal seating. Unlike most libraries they don't care much about sound, there is an open concept screaming children section on the bottom floor which is often full of kids at all times of hours and days and you can hear it echo through the whole library. Other then that decent selection of books and very friendly staff. Also a large abundant immigration services but no services for actual citizens which is odd, favoring immigrants. Even the whole career job wall is just all for immigrants only.
David — Google review
The library is stunning and I experience a profound sense of calm when I enter and spend time there. I have utilized the space for both studying and teaching, and the staff and security have consistently been affable and supportive. Due to its proximity to city hall and the Surrey KPU campus, it can get quite busy. However, it is conveniently located near the skytrain, a shopping center, and numerous dining establishments. The facility is modern and well-lit, and includes various conveniences such as complimentary parking, a cafe, and designated areas for parents. The children's section is vast, and it's worth noting that registering your license plate at the entrance will grant you two hours of free parking.
Karan V — Google review
A modern and futuristic library, but some of the staff talk very loud like in a farmer's market. They should know that the library is supposed to be very quiet and that they should try their best to keep their voice down, not talk so loud that everyone can hear them from the ground floor to the top floor. I would like to encourage them to visit Vancouver Public Library and see how their staff behave.

I've lived here for over 30 years and only recently I started to jog and walk through this park. When it first open it wasn't so inviting. But now it's much nicer because the lake is MAN MADE and nature grew around it. The park is made for wildlife in the area thus you only get a few park benches and a trail loop. Its all part of the flood control network for the lower parts of Surrey. If you want a peaceful park to enjoy the ducks or walk/bike the trail to forest bathe while learning something about nature, this is a great place with no crowds. Accessing it with a car is tricky as there is one way in and one way out and the parking lot is unpaved. Look for it. Maybe one day the Greenway will connect here. I've witness this park change with the seasons. Its always a marvel. The tall grass in the spring is amazingly high right now
WanderingNomadJunky — Google review
Good place to go for an easy walk. There is a small lake inside. If you like to see lots of ducks, then it's a good place to be, but the parking lot is horrible. There's a lot of potholes, and they're not doing anything about it. If not for the ducks, I will give it a one-star.
Tony — Google review
Cute little park in the middle of the city. Nice, easy trail to walk around, would take 30mins-1 hour to walk around depending on your speed. There's a little area to sit and watch the ducks. Nice and peaceful! Could use a few garbage bins, saw multiple doggy poop bags, if you're taking you're dog there, please clean up AND take it out with you to dispose of.
Selena D — Google review
It’s a walk trail. Can see some birds and ducks. Not recommended for children as there r NO playground. Parking is there. No washroom.
Nick S — Google review
Well maintain flat trail. Nice to enjoy the weather and walking with birds and tree. The lake was closed when we got there so we dont know if there is certain time to be open but even so you can still see the ducks and other people try to go in the bushes just to get in the lake. The golf course is in the other side of the park so be careful on the golf ball to get hit.lol! Overall it was a good exercise with kids and family.
Adette B — Google review
Nice breeze adjacent to golf course. Trial pathway could have been maintained. When it rains it gets difficult to walk along. Parking is available is a added advantage. Adjacent golf course looks very beautiful. Varieties of birds in the lake. Pictures or boards placed for educational purpose. Could have added walking directions so that first time entrants gets a good understanding of how to proceed as there will be very less people available in the park to ask directions and also covid scare to socialize. But mind gets relaxed from the oxygen you get from the park trees and greens of golf course. There is a warning mentioned about flying golf balls so need to be careful and mindful while walking.
Kumar K — Google review
Cool lake and awesome view , lot of birds to fresh up the mood. Track are muddy and great place to walk and run. But beware of gold balls that arrive from the side. As there is a golf course close to it. 😂
S J — Google review
This park is not the cleanest. We found a needle in the grasses by the lake. The walk itself is pleasant. There is a short incline section that is part of the loop trail. The “beach” area was a fun diversion for children. There were lots of ducks and Canadian geese to watch up close. Parking was adequate. We probably won’t return to often, but it’s a interesting urban lake to check out once.

I love coming to this park. It reduces my stress and makes me feel peaceful from the green grass and the eagles soaring and the birds chirping. People who are visiting always seem calm and happy. Dogs are allowed and the view from the viewpoint at the end of the park is beautiful. It only takes about 5 minutes to walk from the small, unpaved parking lot to the view point. There are squirrels and rabbits to see and an interesting maze to walk through!

Nature preserve
Tucked away in the serene Fleetwood neighborhood of Surrey, the Godwin Farm Biodiversity Preserve Park is a delightful escape into nature. This 26-acre haven was generously donated by the Godwin Family to honor their legacy and protect its stunning landscape.
Godwin Preserve is a gem of find in Surrey. It's a fine and quiet, contemplative space where one can enjoy peace and quiet. Emphasis on one because, for its size, trails are short and sweet and no dogs are allowed. There is a large pond with wooden shaded walk bridges at its inlet and outlet, and there is a rest area with 2 benches overlooking the small placid water. No space for a picnic, but ideal enough for a sit-down and a sandwich while looking at dragonflies flitting around. Please bring your garbage with you as this is a wildlife preserve. I saw koi and swordtails in the pond likely dumped by unscrupulous people thinking to do nature a favor. Please don't do that. Overall, it's my new favorite place for personal reflection. Parking space for about 20 cars. There is a disabled spot, but it's not wide.

Locals call it Surrey Shanlinxi, a park said to have been generously donated by its former landowner. The whole place feels so lovingly cared for, with quiet trails, tidy trees, and benches that look out over the lake. It is the kind of spot where you slow down without even trying. Pack a little picnic and you could happily spend an entire morning here.

This is a wonderful park that has a mostly flat walk. It has wide paths and is a leisurely 30 minute walk. There are benches for resting and public washrooms. There is also a parking lot. There are lots of trees 🌲 that have been planted by the previous owners, also a nice pond. There is a wonderful story to the property. Definitely worth the visit.

Surrey Public Wharf is a popular spot for locals and visitors to relax and take in the scenic views. Many people come here to fish or simply unwind amidst the natural beauty while still being close to the city. It's best to visit on weekdays if you prefer a more peaceful atmosphere, as weekends tend to be busier. Some have even enjoyed cozy bonfires with friends at this charming location, making it an ideal destination for a casual outing or a romantic car date in Surrey.
Seems like a nice hangout spot for many people to park up and enjoy the view. Lots of people fishing as well.

This place has gone downhill & for that reason I don't go as much. Never cleaned despite having numerous access to garbage cans.. more of a party spot for the young ones at night & during the weekend. The only time you can actually sit back and relax is when it's a rainy day or during work hours. Definitely some nicer cleaner & friendlier spots to chill along the river.

I’ve lived here and was born and raised in Metro Vancouver and have seen nothing done to this warf since 2001. Residents of Surrey need to voice their concerns to city council. Until we do nothing will be done to this “public” warf. The city owns quite a bit of the waterfront but chooses to neglect it cause they don’t care about Bridgeview. Seems like Brenda Locke would rather spend all the tax dollars on Cloverdale than spend anything on Bridgeview. This was quite the opposite when McCallum was mayor. This public warf is in dire need of an upgrade and expansion and so too is the entire Surrey side of the Fraser river. If the city of New Westminster can have a beautiful public warf and seawall why can’t Surrey residents?!
J — Google review
The place is neglected and small while more and more people are coming everyday I hope the city will increase the the wharf and the deck over there and put more chairs and make the place more beautiful and at least the make the parking lots

West Newton Community Park offers a variety of recreational activities for both kids and adults. The park features climbing structures, slides, swings, and open spaces for outdoor games like soccer, baseball, football, volleyball, and cricket. It is easily accessible from nearby residences and provides a peaceful environment to unwind. Families can enjoy the playground while kids have fun with plenty of things to climb on and under. However, visitors should be mindful that there is limited shade in the area during hot weather.
Pretty nice park! Big parking lot and washroom. We didn't know about the main entrance with a big parking lot so we parked beside the road where our GPS told us. Cute playground, perfect for our girls. They had such a fun time there. BUT when we were there, had 2 boys around my daughters age were there first. One was with his dad. One was with his grand father but both boys were playing by themselves because the father was sitting on the phone all the time. For the other one, grand father was old so only sit can't play with him. So all the time we were there. They came to play with us, following us to do everything my daughters wanted to do and even asked us to help for almost everything when we were there until my daughters got upset and cried because they got annoyed and got attention from us due to me and my husband can't say no everytime they asked for help and wanted to play with us. So we decided to leave. So PARENTS and GUARDIANS, please pay attention and play with your kids when you take them out to the park like that. They need your attention and want someone to play with in that ages (2-4) I took pics, yes but my babies always come first. Anyway, the girls liked the park and had fun but we won't go back again

I love this park. Great for walk. Kids area is very nice. It was very neat and clean few years ago. Since past 2-3 years people never cleanup after they make mess. You can see empty food containers, empty beer cans, all over. You can see food containers and garbage along with the sidewalk. People dump there u wanted stuff in the park. Very sad to see the beautiful places turning into the messy places. People should be responsible to keep there surroundings clean.

Fun playground for kids, lots of things to climb on and under, swing on, run around and slide down. The only back draw is there is no shade really, so when it is hot you will definitely feel the sun. There is also a very big green area right next to the playground - would be a perfect place to lick or throw a ball!
Kostia M — Google review
Very accessible and just a few blocks away from my residence. A good place to hangout and exercise to release stress after working long hours. It is relatively quiet and peaceful making it ideal to visit especially on a sunny day like today. It also has a playground for kids and a large open area to play outdoor games like soccer, baseball, football, volleyball, cricket just to name a few. I tried flying drone on this area and the view is spectacular from above. It also has ample parking space so it is a plus and a shaded area for small picknics. The toilet/washroom is not that great but that's expected from a public area.

Additionally, the east side parking lot near 24 Avenue offers access to new pickleball courts. The park features lush picnic areas surrounded by grand trees and trails that lead to a serene pond immersed in nature.
Beautiful park! We spent the day here for Mother’s Day and saw a beaver swimming to build a dam and 4 turtles sunbathing at the pond. So amazing! They have a playground, restrooms, and many picnic tables. Also a great place for walking or playing with your dogs.

A courageous park with two baseball diamonds, eight beautiful Pickleball courts, and trails through the woods. Provided a great facility for a cross-country race.
John B — Google review
Although this park has a beautiful forest and some decent trails to walk Crescent Park has some very entitled dog walkers who literally everyday disobey the basic law of “ no off leash dogs “ . This is especially concerning when I have been attacked by several on 2 different occasions. One of the times I was bitten and my jacket was ripped . This is a very serious issue that By Law is ignoring. I have had dogs all my life and I am not afraid of them even when I was attacked . But my concern is not for me but for children and family’s or anyone who is afraid of dogs should not have to deal with this blatant disregard for the public and public safety. Every time I go to the park there’s several people walking there dogs off leash and some are friendly it does not mean it gives them the right to act like the park is there own personal dog park .even on a very slow day at a time where there was very little people at the park I still managed to come across 3 different dogs off leash .. and some owners are nice but others are extremely ignorant and entitled . This could be a 4 star park but it’s barely a 2 star

Our first time here for the play group. I passed by often because we went to Creasent beach all the time but never dropped by. So I didn't know where is the entrance. I used Google map which brought me to the other side of the park at 26 Ave but nothing there so I drove back because I remembered that I drove pass the sign so I tried and found the entrance then when we left eventually just turned into 129 st and the entrance just right there. Don't need to turn at 128 st like google map said. This for who visits the park for the first time so won't get confused like me Anyway, we had so much fun with the playgroup which my friend invited me to join them. They have it every Friday at 10 am. Then we played at the playground. Walked around and saw a duck then picnic, so much fun! Lots of big trees and pond. Will definitely go back to check all the trails because too busy today so only one trail we checked out. Clean washrooms, picnic tables, big parking lot. Warning: someone said the car got broke in twice both parking lot. One took diaper bag maybe they thought had valuable stuffs inside so just please be careful when you parked there. It happend at lunch time

Beautiful park with walking trails, sports fields, picnic tables and play ground. The north entrance to the park off of crescent rd gives you access to the picnic tables and a washroom. There's a platform for placing a BBQ on nearby. This is a popular spot on the weekends and their is no reservations. The parking lot on the east side off of 132 st near 24 Ave gives you access to the new pickleball courts. A little further north closer to 26 Ave is the parking for the two baseball diamonds and the arts center where a washroom is located. There are two massive grassy fields located near the baseball diamonds and there is a pond in the middle of the park with walking trails spread throughout.

Me and my family of 4, recently had the pleasure of visiting Campbell Valley Regional Park (first time), and I must say it exceeded all my expectations! From the moment we arrived, the park’s natural beauty and peaceful atmosphere made it the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life. The park offers an incredible variety of scenic trails, which are well-maintained and clearly marked. We enjoyed a lovely walk through the forested paths, taking in the fresh air and the soothing sounds of nature. The views of the meadows and wetlands were absolutely breathtaking, and we even spotted some local wildlife, which added to the charm of the experience. Overall, I highly recommend visiting Campbell Valley Regional Park for anyone looking to enjoy some time outdoors in a peaceful, beautiful setting. We can’t wait to return!

Love this park! My daughter went there with her class, i figured we should bring her brother next time. Plenty of parking. It was a beautiful morning, and visiting the inside of the red barn had been definitely the highlight for the kids. The barn is only open to the public on weekends and stat holidays, i believe. The picnic areas have benches and water access and the washrooms are well maintained. I noticed signs that the picnic area is now a zone people can drink alcohol in public. Doesn't apply to me but I'm sure some people enjoy it. I just hope they are acting responsible and especially don't drive after....

Leaving anxiety behind in my parked car, I slowly entered the garden. Being a second-generation Vancouverite, I couldn't believe I had never heard of this delightful spot before. We took our time maneuvering around the gigantic, fully bloomed, rhodo trees. I kept looking down on the ground and up to the blue sky to see the tops of the many varieties of trees. I stopped and listened to the silence. We were the only visitors besides the 2 hosts upon entry. Loved this day!

Wow, we all said the same.. hehehe.. What a cute park built with wood, so cool! We had a lot of fun. Then walked in the trails and stopped to have snacks. They have picnic tables too, really nice trails to walk around but we didn't do all yet so will go back again. If you never been, check this park out only thing they didn't have is a washroom. Would be nice if they have because you have trails to walk which takes time so not easy for kids to hold a couple hours even me to rush home.. hehehe.. Newton Athletic Park is a vibrant hub for sports and community gatherings in Surrey, British Columbia. Spanning 22 hectares, this park boasts an impressive array of facilities including five artificial turf fields, seven natural grass fields, eight tennis courts, and basketball courts. For those looking to cool off or have fun with family, the water spray park is a delightful addition. The park also features two kilometers of scenic pathways perfect for walking or jogging and a rubberized track that spans 600 meters.
Attended a soccer tourney here over the weekend, and while the action on the pitch took center stage, it really was just a huge community block party where people of all ages came out to enjoy the weather and socialize while eating traditional Punjabi dishes whipped up by many dozens of volunteers on site. Kudos to the organizers for making my Canada Day celebrations memorable and delicious! Oh yeah, and the soccer was pretty awesome too! 😍

Newton Athletic Park is a fantastic community hub, and for tennis players, it's particularly noteworthy for its outstanding tennis facilities. If you're looking for a reliable and enjoyable place to play, these courts truly stand out. What immediately impresses you about the tennis courts at Newton Athletic Park is how exceptionally well-maintained they are. The playing surfaces are consistently clean, free of cracks, and offer excellent traction, which makes for a truly reliable and enjoyable game. The lines are crisp and clear, and the nets are always in great condition – details that serious and casual players alike appreciate. It's evident that the park staff dedicate significant effort to ensuring these courts remain in prime condition for public use. This level of maintenance means you can focus entirely on your game without worrying about uneven bounces or hazardous surfaces. Whether you're practicing serves, rallying with a friend, or playing a competitive match, the quality of the courts enhances the entire experience. The surrounding area is also pleasant, adding to the overall positive atmosphere. Newton Athletic Park's tennis courts are a testament to great community planning and care. For anyone in the area seeking a high-quality public tennis experience, where the courts are consistently in excellent shape, this park is an absolute must-visit. It's a true asset for local tennis players!

Beautiful place for kids to play and family fun. Only issue is my kids have lost like 4 balls and 2 jackets this season so far . I just looked away for a second and they were gone. So be careful thieves active recently. Otherwise great place.

Nestled in Surrey, BC, Peace Arch Provincial Park offers a tranquil retreat for both nature enthusiasts and history buffs. The park boasts lush lawns and gardens perfect for leisurely strolls and picnics, as well as the iconic Peace Arch that spans the U.S./Canada border. Visitors can revel in various scenic views while walking amidst the picturesque landscape. Additionally, 1001 Steps Park provides a zigzagging trail leading to the beach for wildlife observation.
A historic place with a scenic view of sea and land. Immensely peaceful but gets crowded on weekends. Nice provincial park to spend a day with family. Parking gates close at 8:00 pm and opens at 08:00 am so plan accordingly.
Imran K — Google review
Good one to spend 1-2 hrs, make sure to park your car on the parking otherwise you have to come through border security which will take not less than 1 hr. Parking is on first right turn and there are not turns beyond that point
Naman — Google review
Beautiful park on the US-Canada border. The park has large green open space. The peace arch towering the park is magnificent. There is ample free parking. The view of the ocean, totem pole and Japanese garden are really good. But the most unique thing about the park is that people from US and Canada can meet without going through immigrations. There are rangers who monitor that there are no illegal crossings but nothing is checked while you are in the park. The park is very peaceful and well maintained. USA also maintains the park on the other side of the border. The US side has a play area with some swings in addition to restrooms and picnic shelters. Looking forward to visit again.

Peace Arch Park is an ideal spot for family outings and mini picnics! The lush greenery, spacious grounds, and tranquil ambiance create the perfect setting for quality family time. Kids absolutely love exploring the park, playing games, and having a picnic under the clear blue sky. With ample space to run around and plenty of picnic spots, it’s a wonderful place to create lasting memories with loved ones. Highly recommended for families seeking a fun and relaxing day out!”

An interesting and spectacular place where the border between the two countries, America and Canada, has no guard, the park has a picnic area and a children's play area, you can visit both sides of the park in America and Canada.

Shopping in the US is our family’s routine every now and then. I loved to see the historical Peace Arch with its gorgeous garden across the border. It’s a beautiful monument situated between the communities of Blaine, Washington and Surrey, British Columbia.
Bernie — Google review
This park is very hard to get to or find if you have never been there before. Google maps takes you all over the place even tries to send you across the border to the USA, but does not give good directions to get there. When you get to this park it is very small, but it has beautiful large trees and a small path to the railway tracks and you can see the beach on the other side. You are not allowed to cross the tracks. There is a sign threatening charges if you get caught. Don’t get caught crossing the railway tracks. At the end of the path you can see the USA and Canada sides of the border. Across the water you can see the Island and the open ocean. The sight is beautiful. There is very little to do at this park. If you are not going there for a planned gathering or to see the railway tracks and the beach across from them, this park is boring.
Dee D — Google review
Make sure you take the beach road exit before the US Canada border ! Orelse you will have to make a u turn and sit through a line . The police man at the duty free exit are not well trained in Canadian politeness to say the least. Park itself is amazing , you can bring your on stove and have a good time.

A very good forest park in the middle of Surrey. With a great parking lot. Also with a beautiful lake and views. Ideal for a great walk, run or just enjoy the beauty of nature. I recommend this park. There are benches to enjoy special moments or a great BBQ time.

It’s a very nice park, I did not see an area of this parking lot but it is very easy to enter through various areas, the lake has species of colorful ducks, and also in one area you can see the beaver house. It has picnic tables and an area where people are usually fishing.
Meyline C — Google review

Nice change of pace from a typical afternoon at a playground :)

one of the most beautiful park nearby. Lots of people are fishing. There were lots of seating area and everything's super nice. lots of ducks too!! Highly recommend to spend time with family / friends / love ones.

Port Kells Nurseries is a year-round garden center and nursery that offers a variety of activities for families, especially during holidays. Visitors can enjoy themed hay wagon rides to the Pumpkin Patch, a kid-friendly haunted house, and hay and cedar mazes in the fall. The nursery also provides opportunities for kids to pick pumpkins, feed farm animals, and play in sand areas. Additionally, there are photo booths and a playground available. The staff is known for being helpful and accommodating.
Port Kells Nursery offer a variety of plants including perennials, annuals, hanging baskets, shrubs, trees, hedging cedars, and water plants. They also have a great selection of soil, and manures. The nursery provides delivery services, that are both one timely and helpful.

The staff at Port Kells Nursery is helpful and knowledgeable, and they will assist you in finding what you are looking for.

I highly recommend visiting the annual pumpkin patch. There is no entry fee, there plenty to do,  from choosing a variety of pumpkins to choose from, exploring the cedar maze, enjoying a tractor ride and taking pictures with vintage tractors.

Port Kells Nurseries is a fantastic destination, especially during the fall season! The pumpkin patch is a highlight, offering a wide variety of pumpkins for all your decorating needs, and the best part is the free entry! Thank you for helping us out. We really appreciate you and your store

I got a chance to visit Port Kells Nursery twice with my family for pumpkin patch. It’s a good place to enjoy with kids. They have decent number of activities for kids like picking up pumpkin, feeding farm animals , play area in sand, photo booths etc. The staff is helpful here. Compared to last year they added coffee counter at very nominal rates. Ample amount of parking is there on weekdays but not sure how much crowded it gets on weekend. Apart from this, they have nice collection of plants with many varieties. Would surely recommend a visit here !!

One of best dog parks in Surrey area! It's little bit far from our place but it is totally worth it. They have huge grass field to let your dog fetch the ball. Also, the off leash trail is short one but I guess it is enough if you just want to enjoy the scenery or trees with your pups after work. Make sure to check before going into the trail. One pathway is muddy (during fall) in case you don't want your pups to get dirty and leave the trace inside your car🤣 Cons: mosquitoes might exist. I got bitten because I wore shorts. 😄 Other than that, everything was perfect!

Dogwood Park is a lovely park to bring your dog to unleash. My dogs and I always enjoy this beautiful park and its atmosphere. The park has a fence for small dogs, a picnic area and chairs, and also has ponds for dogs to play.

The best off leash park EVER. Abundance of trails & fields, a separate area for the little puppers if you please. Bridges to stroll over & lots of fun “large water areas” to enjoy some splashing & swimming time. Covered areas, tables & chairs. Even a little borrow a book stand. Definitely a fun time for all 🐾🐾🐾

Great, fantastic off leash park. Just like walking through a forest. Many interconnected trails. Washroom in area. Could have garbage or waste cans along trail, but that might be difficult to maintain. Friendly dogs and owners. Parking is good.

......Update to follow...... Unfortunately one of the best dog parks in Surrey has been taken over by anti-maskers. They gather in large groups around the benches and have removed the signs that warn us against gatherings and remind us of social distancing. Luckily its a large dog park but their unconcern about others and covid is disturbing. The signs used to be around the benches, next day they are in the bush. Don't get me wrong Dogwood Park is still the Best dog park around. If you have a smaller dog and want it to feel safe, away from other dogs, they have a large infield gated enclosure that they can feel safe to roam, well fenced off from other dogs. This park is great anytime of the year. Just wear boots in soggy areas and watch wear you step. Have a dawg day!...UPDATE, today SPRING 2022...previous rant was made in the before times...one of best parks in Surrey got a bit of renovation, ie, extra gravel for the muddy walking areas...and covid is over right? Lol..still outdoors on weekend at this park, is the best place to with all your friends ❤️ people to. So get out there and say ello to us Dawg people and enjoy your day...Cheers...update needs full stars 🌟 🤩 Dawg tired after day in park.

It’s a pretty good park over all. There is one playground and it’s a great area if you like to go for walks or hikes. There’s a lot of trails for walks and lots of nature. Playground is suitable for young kids. There is a slide, a see saw, 2 baby swings, 2 normal swings, climbing area, and rocking animals. There is also an additional area where there are big rocks and logs for you to sit on. There are multiple benches and lots of trees around. Me and my brother played hide and seek in the trees since there were so many good hiding spots. One thing to be aware of is that many people bring their dogs here so be on the lookout for dog poop here and there. Other than that, It’s a very nice park and area to bring the family to on a weekend to spend some time together.

Nice little park but the city doesn't take care of it. Always full of trash. A shame that they don't do the upkeep. Surrey needs more parks like this but people won't use them if they're not maintained with care on a regular basis.

It's okay for what it is. Not stroller or wheelchair accessible really. It's not really a park either it's more of a trail, surrounded by big trees it gives lots of shade especially in the summer. the entrances of the trail are always trashed. Park
Pretty park with a fairly modern playground and tennis courts. Plenty of paths in the park to enjoy a quick or long walk. The washroom is small but it does its job, although usually smelly and dirty. It is also conveniently right across from two baseball/softballs fields and lots of parking. If you are thirsty or hungry you can also walk across 152nd to restaurants or convenience stores.
Justin S — Google review
Nice playground with tennis court near by and a big parking lot. Have a washroom which needed to keep it clean, pretty dirty. Have picnic tables and walking trail but we didn't have a chance to check it out yet so will do next time
Aom H — Google review
Nice park with plenty of field space for multiple softball games. Restrooms are nearest to the small parking lot for the Sullivan Community Association. To the southeast side is more parking, and at the end of 62A Avenue is a nice playground for the kids with tennis courts nearby.
David N — Google review
Lovely park with walking Track. Good place for entire family.

There is a big cellphone tower very close to the park. The EMF radiation level in this park is very high due to this cellphone tower.

Great layout of courts. We had 2 pickleball courts and one tennis court full at one time. Great use of space and nets in lock box were of a very good quality!! Well done Surrey
Greg M — Google review
One of our favorite parks in the area. Has two hard (concrete) tennis courts, and picnic shelter in addition to a kid play area and easy walk trail.

Love this park. This is my favourite go to park, nice and relaxing. They also have 2 picnic tables for a family day.

I have now used Stonemarks Engraving twice within the same number of years for my parents’ cemetery plaques. I’m so happy to have found this business as I only wanted the best for my parents. Stefan will take the time to listen to your ideas, walk you through the process and then respectively make suggestions to bring your project to another level. The high quality of work, the professionalism and courtesy shown by Stefan surpassed all my expectations. You don’t need to look any further. I highly recommend Stonemarks Engraving for any project you may have. Thanks so much Stefan. It’s been a pleasure working with you and your staff.

Picture perfect, beyond expectations address stone! Wow! Smooth process from the first visit to choice confirmation, to mock-up image (I'm very "visual type" of client and need to see what I get) and final installation. Looks incredible in the driveway on both rainy and sunny days! Thank you so much for outstanding quality job! Highly recommend Stonemarks Engraving!

I had the pleasure to work with Stefan recently to design a marker for a loved one, and I am blown away. He was extremely kind, efficient and provided the best service. The selection process and design of a memorial marker is not an enjoyable thing but Stefan made the process extremely seamless and quick. He was patient with all of my questions and took time to understand what I was looking for. He responded quickly to all my questions and was able to work within my timeline for the marker. The biggest thank you to Stefan & Stonemarks for remarkable customer service, professionalism and efficiency. I would HIGHLY recommend Stonemarks to anyone.

Would recommend Stonemarks Engraving and Stefan without hesitation. He recently engraved a marker for a loved-one's resting place for us. He was very professional, helpful and very responsive and made the process easy for us at a difficult time. The engraving was done in the time frame estimated/promised and the final product was as we had planned and hoped/discussed. Stefan followed up with us to let us know when it was delivered to the cemetery. We appreciated this follow-up and were very happy with our choice of business for our engraving needs. Would highly recommend this business without hesitation for your stoneworks and engraving needs.

Stefan was great to work with and made such an amazing memorial for my family and I. He was patient, provided his expertise and easy to communicate with. For such a difficult time for us, I am happy this process was made simple. Highly recommended.

Stefan has been amazing, beautiful, thoughtful, and incredibly patient throughout the process. I ordered a marker for my mom's final resting place, and I am so grateful to have found Stefan. Together, we created a beautiful memory.

Stefan was efficient and patient with our order. He was kind and explained things well which allowed me and my brother to make quick decisions. He made the process easy for us. Thanks Stefan for making the process easy.

Stefan from Stoneworks was an absolute pleasure to work with. Communication was quick and efficient and the memorial marker was finished early and delivered in time for our service. The marker is beautiful, and the perfect way to honour the lives of two special people.

40Kiyo Park

Park
Jogged through this park today. Just a couple benches and picnic tables. Walking path and a creek bridge. Grass area to picnic. The issue is the road is busy. Very basic park. It's not a pond it's just a creek with dense vegetation
WanderingNomadJunky — Google review
This park has an interesting background; it was once a 20-acre farm owned by two Japanese Canadian families back in 1951. They gave some of this land to the city, hoping people would enjoy it as a park. There's a creek in the park where salmon used to swim, but sadly it's too polluted now for them to return. The park itself is quite small, featuring just one little bridge that overlooks the creek. I can't recommend visiting this park. It's been spoiled by a lot of illegal dumping, even right into the creek, which is sad because it was meant to be a special place for the salmon. The park could have been a peaceful spot as the original owners wished, but it's become a sign of how we sometimes neglect our environment.
Julian N — Google review
Kiyo Park is located in southeast Whalley near King Creek, which runs through the middle of the park. A pathway extends from the end of 90A Avenue, across King Creek, to 140 Street.  The bridge provides an excellent fish and bird viewing point. Keep an eye out for spawning salmon in the fall. The western portion of the park offers wide open green spaces with plenty of shade trees, perfect for an afternoon picnic or a game of pick-up soccer or frisbee. Kiyo Park is part of a larger linear park system that protects the King Creek watershed and provides an important habitat connection between Bear Creek Park and Green Timbers Urban Forest.

Nice neighborhood green space, has two picnic tables, both with wheelchair space. Full Green park other than cement pathways. Public transit right beside streetside parking only

No playground here...maybe it was just hidden. Might as well be a dog park.
Choca H — Google review
Park is mostly wet beacause of the creek and is super small.

Playground at the school. There is two fields a gravel and grass. And a dense tree part. Good to cut through when running
WanderingNomadJunky — Google review
Don’t go by the name of the place as park. It is more of preserved green area with trees to walk around. The location is next to elementary school. So if you are visiting outside school hours, the kids will get space to play around. School has a big football ground and lots of slides & swings.
Amit S — Google review
Good park to wander around, though kind of freaky at night. I'm pretty sure there might be a body or two hiding in the forest.

Tennis courts by City of Surrey. Thanks city of surrey for these courts. Also dog park for fur parents.
Harpreet K — Google review
Kennedy Park is a great spot for people of all ages. It's got lovely gardens, big grassy areas, and nice paths for walking or running. There's a large playground with fun equipment for kids and plenty of picnic spots for family lunches. Sports lovers can use the basketball courts, soccer fields, and tennis courts. a nice place for nature lovers. Dog owners will be happy to find areas where their pets can play off-leash. There is a lot of litter scattered everywhere even though trash cans are provided Overall, Kennedy Park is a welcoming place with lots to offer, whether you're into sports, nature, or just relaxing outdoors.

A nice little park. There's not much there, just some benches, but the pond is so pretty and there's a beaver that seems to live in the pond or nearby!
