Owen Rose Garden is a stunning 8.5-acre park located near the Willamette River and the Washington Jefferson Street Bridge in Eugene. It boasts over 4,500 rose bushes representing more than 400 varieties, making it a true gem of the city. The garden also features the impressive 49-foot-tall Oregon Heritage Cherry Tree, believed to be one of the oldest of its kind in the country.
I LOVE this rose garden I try to go as much as possible. It smells like if you are standing and walking inside of a perfume bottle with many different rose blends and other flower notes to give the roses more depth also the smell of the flowers is perfect and not overwhelming. This is 100% worth seeing and checking out if you are making a trip to Eugene Oregon. Owen's rose garden is perfect for photos and getting your photo taken for grad students and weddings or any other event you need photos. I saw grad students taking photos, photographers of many kinds taking photos of the flowers, people walking there dogs, and many other lovely groups of people enjoying the roses with everyone. Very uplifting and positive to bring your mood up. I really want to keep coming back to this place as much as possible.

Nice quiet stroll through the well kept garden. Lots of different flowers, not just roses. Family atmosphere, little paths leading to more flowers, memorial benches for resting in the shade. Cute park, really enjoyed it.
Joe M — Google review
This may have been my favorite stop when I visited my brother's family in Eugene, Oregon. It was just beautiful and such a lovely, easily accessible spot to wander around outside for an hour or two. I highly recommend visiting if you haven't yet - and if you have - go again!
SarahBeth C — Google review
This is one of the most beautiful rose gardens I've ever been to, and I mean, ever the layout was perfect and so many quality roses to see and read the descriptions and see the trees and the pagodas and it was all very well laid out. The bathroom was disgusting. There was poop on the rim of the toilet and it was very unappealing. There were many bike riders out when I went and so i'm glad it has a good accessibility
Jacob S — Google review
When the roses are in full bloom, it's really something else. The varieties are listed in front of the beds they're planted in. Pictures are allowed but it's asked that you stay out of the dirt. Nice flat walking paths with benches. Close proximity to the Willamette River path. There were porta potties on site when we visited for the Symphony in the Park. Plenty of parking.
Jennifer U — Google review
Amazing flower garden and completely free. Bring the whole family. This is not to be missed. They're even open late till 11:00 p.m. But come during daylight for some phenomenal photos.
David A — Google review
It’s absolutely beautiful right now (June) because everything is blooming and smells so good!! This is a real gem of a park for Eugene. We saw people taking graduation photos, and there is a gazebo for weddings and events.
Corinna L — Google review
Beautiful park, with 12 miles of trails and ponds along the river. Along the trail are all the planets on display, with insightful information. Just watch out for the bicycle riders.

Hendricks Park, Eugene's oldest city park, is a picturesque destination located on the southern side of the city. The park is renowned for its stunning rhododendron garden boasting an impressive 6,000 varieties of the plant. Visitors can also marvel at the presence of 200-year-old Douglas fir trees within the park's boundaries, offering a unique experience within city limits.
Fantastic Park to Go for a Walk or Just Relax. Has Swings for Kids, Picnic Tables, and Lots of Moderate Hiking Trails throughout the Park Dogs are Allowed on Leashes. Lots of Trees, Has paths that go thru a Flower Section (I dont think Dogs are Allowed in that section) Well taken care of. Its a Nice Place to Go Spring, Summer and Fall and Winter (Wear a Rain Coat)
Tom T — Google review
Beautiful nature walk on trails throughout the gardens. Nice places to sit and take all of the beautiful in. This is a great place to go while visiting Eugene.
Laurie P — Google review
This place always inspires a leisurely walk. It’s a perfect spot for strolling with dogs and ideal for a picnic as well. While it’s a bit disappointing that dogs aren’t allowed in the garden area, the rest of the park—including the short trail—is absolutely wonderful.
Kai D — Google review
Hendrick's park is a lovely place to go for a walk or bike ride. In springtime, the rhododendrons and azaleas are in full bloom, with lovely pops of color around each bend in the path. It's a peaceful, forested respite above the city.
Gina S — Google review
Absolutely a beautiful park!!! Well maintained. Wonderful in the springtime but really, all year round!!
Christa L — Google review
Without a doubt, this place is absolutely gorgeous and worth making it the focus of your day out. The plants and trees are stunning, the grounds and paths are immaculately and peaceful.

Nature & Parks
Alton Baker Park, spanning nearly 400 acres, is a popular outdoor destination in Eugene, Oregon. Established in 1959, the park boasts a variety of features including a boat launch, fishing spots, trails for hiking and biking, a dog park for furry companions to roam freely, as well as playgrounds and picnic areas. The park's expansive grounds are surrounded by lush forestry and fields with the scenic Willamette River meandering through it.
Great place to chill, enjoy the nature, leisure walks, and see ducks! Had a great time just watching ducks and geese eat food and swim. Big parking space! Toilet doesn't have doors though but there's single porta potty too.
Mady J — Google review
There are lots of disc golf sites to play at. Lots of Ducks and Geese inhabitants around the water even saw some little ducklings 🐥. Pretty clean park all in all, a few of your typical potential drug users in the park with their apparently not friendly dogs. All in all, it's not a bad place to visit. We didn't stay long, just stopped in to check out the water.
Brandy S — Google review
Beautiful park. Great for long or short walks. Lots of tree cover but also places to sit and relax. Well maintained and a gem for the Eugene community. Right up against the Cuthbert venue. Some ducks, geese and bird watching available. Its just such a relaxing place to visit.
Quilan D — Google review
It was pretty at sunset, and the temperature was lessened by the shade. Close quarters makes having privacy difficult, but overall a pleasant experience
Aaron M — Google review
Not the park I remember growing up and definitely need of upkeep. There is a Frisbee Golf course there however they charge to play and the course is very odd.
Krazy I — Google review
It was fun, there's a lot of trails, swimming holes, a disc golf course and access to autzen. Aloha festival
Tim — Google review
Beautiful, but busy with the University of Oregon Ducks football game going on causing parking to be $20.
Christina A — Google review
I think this is the best park in Eugene that I have found so far. It's maintained well and has gorgeous grounds to walk around and spend your day. There's definitely sketchy people from time to time, so be sure to always lock your doors.

Skinner Butte Park is a hilltop space offering sweeping city and mountain views, with trails, climbing rocks, a playground, and various outdoor activities. This 100-acre park features fishing, hiking, picnicking, rock climbing, and public gardens. It holds historical significance as the former land of Eugene Skinner, the city's founder. The park overlooks the Willamette River and offers panoramic vistas of the city center and Cascade Mountains.
This is one of the best parks in Eugene. It has beautiful huge landscapes, kids playground, a clean restroom and a great city view spot. The great thing here is a huge parking lot. I saw many people came for running, biking, and chilling. What a great place to relax your mind. I would love to visit this park again in the future
Danny T — Google review
Such a beautiful park with a paved walking path. An incredible playground and restrooms located next to the playground. The playground includes a swing set, sand box and a ton of other activities for kids young and older. Plenty of parking.
Chelsea H — Google review
I love this place. Beautiful views, fabulous trails for all levels of hikers.
Sarah W — Google review
Very nice walking trail with great views of the Willamette River.

Got walk up the drive to the gate n back down to seating area. Just for exercise. Found collectable bottle on the side of the hill. That made the walking trip. In town for week (last week of sept. 2025') For brother wedding n fishing (rainbow trout) on Mckinze river. I'll be back next yr for longer trip. Meet some great people. Great time there.
Donald D — Google review
Lot of smoking up at the peak otherwise it’s a beautiful hike
Jack K — Google review
It's a great place for an easy, quick hike, and it has a wonderful playground for kids. You can either hike the butte or walk along the river on the bike path. There are many places to sit and a decent amount of parking. It's a great place to hang out in the afternoon with the kiddos or get away from town while still being inside town. It is a very popular place so expect to see other people and families here as well. Unfortunately, because it is so close to downtown, you can sometimes find some of the homeless population around as well as signs being sprayed graffiti quite often. The city does, what I hope is their best, at keeping this to a minimum as they do maintain the park and butte pretty well. Overall it's an awesome place to come see the town at night and it's a pretty cool trip during the day. Either way, if you're passing through or traveling, especially if you have kiddos, this is an amazing stop to catch your breath.
AdventureNugget — Google review
This is a beautiful park. The design is creative. The playground structure is about three floors. Younger children need to be supervised if it's their first time. The Willamette river runs along the park. There is a water fountain for children to get wet. There's a sand play area. It has plenty of parking. This kids can enjoy multiple activities. There's picnic tables, benches and plenty of grassy areas. It has multiple activities. Make sure to check out their website. It has rock climbing, fishing, biking, hiking, and so forth.

Awbrey Park is a delightful 6-acre oasis nestled in Eugene, Oregon, perfect for families seeking a blend of nature and recreation. This charming park features a serene stream and an array of native plants that create a picturesque backdrop. With two playgrounds catering to different age groups, children can enjoy safe play areas designed just for them. The park also boasts open grassy fields ideal for picnics or casual sports activities like horseshoes.
Google Search for a Park To Find a Different Park than what I usually go to, found a Little Park called Awbrey. Went out there, was a Nice Little Park, well taken care of, Had Toilets, Kids Playground, Horseshoe Pits, Picnic Tables and Park Benches Lots of Trees for shade if the sun Had been out Not sure how busy it gets, we were the only ones at the park today
Tom T — Google review
This park is a place where people from all walks of life can come and spend a minute in peace. I've lived in Santa Cara for over ten years and am proud to claim a diverse social circle from vagabonds to local professionals, from single adults to families with kids of all ages. Many times when people from different walks of life share a space, conflict arises due to agenda and objective incompatibility, but this park carries on a legacy of live and let live that is a shining example of humanity at its fullest, so thanks to all who frequent it for being mindful of the dignity of all our neighbors be they momentary or long term. Thanks for helping preserve the dying art of mutual respect regardless of the differences we find in the strangers next to us in any given moment
Chelseamarie C — Google review
Right on River Road as one heads out of town towards farms and small towns. À host of large trees giving off pine and fir aromas in the breeze. Lots of shade. Lots of sunny spots. For as small as this park is it gives off big park feels. Children play areas. A wide open grassy area and horseshoe pits. The built-in grill has been covered over. There are picnic tables. A few walking areas. Busy road on one side, the side where the parking is, quiet neighborhood on the other three sides. This park has been here 62+ years. Nice.
Gary S — Google review
It's a great little park surrounded by established trees. It has a playground for little kids and bigger kids and a nice flat open field to kick the ball. Plenty of dragonflies, butterflies and birds to enjoy.
Bree K — Google review
I love this place. It's quite and peaceful. You don't got all the homeless hanging out there. It's very kid friendly family friendly.
Sareya N — Google review
We love this park. It has plenty of grass to run around on, lots of park toys to play on, and one of the only parks that we have found that is completely covered with shade, which is a huge plus for those hot summer days. There are a few picnic benches and a fire pit on one side. Swings for all ages as well. I love that there is a side of the park for "babies" and another side for bigger kids. Can be tricky to get a parking spot sometimes.
Kayla H — Google review
A really nice little park with a big playground. A lot, and a wide variety of features for all different kids. One improvement I might suggest would be for the bridge on the main structure to be tighter if possible - its tricky to navigate, especially with a little one and/or when it's wet. Helpful warnings about poison oak were posted for certain areas (away from playground).
Nathan B — Google review
Small and clean park Split into 3 play areas 1. For toddlers 2. For 5 to 12 years old 3.Swings And it's very nice

Orchard
Dorris Ranch in Eugene is a family-friendly destination that provides educational experiences for children. This living history farm and park offers hands-on tours focused on the pioneer era and agriculture. With numerous walking trails and natural areas, the park serves as a great place to explore. However, it's important to be cautious as there have been recent sightings of a cougar near the tree line. The animal was observed running into the wooded area from the grassy open space near one of the parking lots.
This is a very highly recommended place. First, the bike trail is connected from Clearwater park to Pre's trail, and if you walk through the trees through the gravel and dirt road that feels like an an grove, it's a beautiful place to be distracted by the sound of water and birds of the cost Fork Willamette River, a fantastic place to walk and relax on a sunny bright day. I'm going for a walk with my dog here almost every day these days.
Kai D — Google review
Beautiful public park with the country's oldest Filbert trees (1903). Lots of great walking paths and views of surrounding hills.

Great use of historic land. 2 mile loop dog friendly, bike friendly, not too crowded. Over half of it is shaded
Cloe R — Google review
We love coming here and walking as a family. So pretty! Love to see the greenery
Natalie H — Google review
Very nice walking paths through trees and along the river.
Roy R — Google review
Great fun unique place! This is a lot like an Old Homestead and walking through all the Orchards during different times of the year makes this place feel new and different every time. There are roads that can be walked on through the orchards. And there are paths that can be walked on through the old growth woods. On the upper parking lot of Doris Ranch, there is a paved path that goes all along the Southside of the river for roughly 8 miles.? My husband and I rode from the disc golf location all the way to Doris Ranch. It is fun to watch all the ground squirrels collecting hazelnuts. This Ranch is located in the same Valley that I-5 is going through so you can hear I-5 traffic throughout Doris ranch. It is quieter in the forest.

So many different little trails that you can take and it’s pretty much all flat ground. It’s a nice spot if you’re wanting a quick little hike.

Maurie Jacobs Park is a picturesque parkland located by the riverside, offering various recreational facilities such as sports fields, a play area, and picnic spots. It serves as the starting point for a journey down the river and is recognized for its historical significance in land acquisition for public use. The park features amenities like a pedestrian bridge to River Valley Mall, benches with scenic views of the Willamette River, and pet-friendly walking paths.
A beautiful bit of green in the middle of the city. Always full of people and dogs having a good time. It’s a great launching point for walking, running, rollerblading or biking on the miles of riverfront trails.
Jeremy G — Google review
A absolutely gorgeous park along the south side of the Willamette River, which is a part of a vast interconnected park system through Eugene. Connect directly from here to Delta Ponds, Owen Rose Garden, many Community gardens and Centers, Skinner Butte Park, Kiwanis Park, City Hall, and even Alton Baker Park and Autzen Stadium of the University of Oregon. This may be the most expensive park and path system I've ever seen and experienced in my life, especially right in the middle of the city, and is the way all cities should treat their rivers. Not divert them, build along them and ruin them, but rather meet in the middle where there is a lot of beautiful open green space with plenty of areas for the river, nature and people to meet and relax. There is a small restroom located at the Polk Street entrance. There is also trash cans places every so often which is great if you decide to pick up the trash you find along the way, as well as drinking fountains places every mile or so. Their water pressure varies heavily fountain to fountain for some weird reason. This park has two playgrounds, many access points from different parts of the street network, and within it have multiple points you can potentially access the river of you choose (though many require a small steep climb down and up). My only recommendation for Eugene Parks & Open Spaces is to add more restrooms, drinking fountains and maybe place trash cans a little more frequently. But emphasis on the restrooms. There is not enough of them.
Danny G — Google review
For a long while this park started getting real sketchy and scary. it seems to have cleaned back up some. it's such a great place to walk and watch the water
Native W — Google review
nice place to take a walk there's some fun activities here for everyone some vandalized benches but other then that 👍 nice place there is a public bathroom no doors on stalls not super clean either
James U — Google review
Lots of shaded spots and picnic tables, two small playgrounds along walking path, visit ducks at river access south of the major bike and walking bridge, which gets you across to VRC parking area near movie theatre on east side of the river. Trees are amazingly colorful in the fall. Bathroom is convenient near parking area off Fir St.
Debra J — Google review
Cool geese and ducks. Quick fact. Bread causes birds to have a bacteria build up inside them and its supposed to be pretty bad for them. Also, if you give them uncooked rice. If they eat too much it can swell rupturing their stomach
Adam B — Google review
A fine place to lay in the grass and read a book, watch people or ride your bike on a sunny day. I chose all of the above.

Nestled near the University of Oregon, Fairmount Park is a charming neighborhood that exudes historical charm and community warmth. Originally established in the late 19th century, this area boasts tree-lined streets and easy access to several parks, including Fairmount itself. Residents enjoy an active lifestyle with opportunities for biking and jogging amidst nature. The diverse community comes together for lively events like the annual Fourth of July celebrations and the Eugene Marathon, fostering a strong sense of camaraderie among its residents.
Cool little park. bathroom is a plus

Park looks clean, but there's only a swing and a sand area, so not much for a kiddo to do. A slide would help a lot. Great location near houses and looks safe. This is probably for bigger kids that can play basketball.

Nice little park with a nice little playground. Water feature must be fun in the summer. No slides and no larger play structure to climb and explore, just one large "circles" structure, which is interesting but not as much fun for little kids.

Amazon Park is a sprawling 100-acre park that offers a diverse range of activities for visitors. It features wetland trails, ball fields, off-leash areas for dogs, a skate park, and even a community garden. The dog park caters to both large and small breeds with separate areas and covered spaces. Additionally, the park boasts modern playgrounds, sports facilities, exercise stations, and performance spaces.
A perfect public summer time outdoor pool! Seven different sections! Multiple diving boards, super high concrete diving pad, a fun drop-off slide, a relaxing twisty slide that you can slide with your babe in your lap! And the kid pool with fun water features spraying the air and some are controllable with steering wheels! Another small pool area is just for toddlers. They can walk about and fall and not get their face dunked. Perfect! And then there is a whole other pool that is only 3.5 feet deep which was perfect for my almost swimmer child. She felt so confident paddling about but could confidently stand up everywhere in the pool! It was a great place to build up her swimming skills! There is plenty of space, green lawn for laying out your towels or blankets, lots of chairs for lounging or sitting, and a great snack bar with ice cream, shaved ice, and other snacky foods but also freshly grilled hamburgers or BLTs! Delicious! Reasonably priced. And best of all, the staff is so friendly! Lots of teenagers and young adults learning how to be great citizens by keeping a watchful eye on the young kids and adults, too. I felt very safe, I felt my children were safe playing and swimming everywhere! Head to Amazon Pool for a swim time. You will not regret it!

This is a nice little park that is pretty busy it seems like, most of the day. It's got little stations for you to do some muscle gaining, and a nice trail to run, jog, walk on, a nice long paved trail to cycle on. Grassy knolls to relax on, have picnics on. Great parking lot. It's a really clean park. Amazon, go figure it would have a really nice park for the public!! Wouldn't expect anything less from a bomb company!!
David M — Google review
We attended a Free Shakespeare in the Park performance of "Two Gentlemen of Verona." It is an annual open-air event by a local nonprofit group. The amateur performers did a credible job. There is no scenery and few props, just a fun costumed troupe. There is no seating provided, but the shaded, slanted lawn creates a small amphitheater for the audience to place their chairs or blankets.
Shirl H — Google review
My family had a really good time here. We've been to other pools locally, but this was the best Family environment. Not only does it have multiple pools & depths, but it has a great vendor for foods accessable from both the pool side and the park side. They have very healthy choices and of course some tasty ones as well. After swimming we all went to the park and the kids had a blast. Except I forgot to take pictures of the park settings. 😂
Beverly H — Google review
It is a sweet park, with a climbing structure, a maze, a "turning-around toy," and a few swings. It was remodeled a few years ago, and it was incredible. Unfortunately, it already lost some of its attractions, such as child-sized musical instruments, which were pretty cool. But the old firetruck is still there, and the dinosaur remains a feature, a favorite with the kids.

One of my top Parks in the Eugene area. The playground is open concept with faux turf so there is cushion to the falls. A huge play structure (little friendly) and a separate one for bigger kiddos. My kids call it the Dinosaur park for the huge one that resides there. Kids love climbing on it! Connected to many running/cycling/walking trails. You can bike around as well.

Amazon park is a big place with access via public transportation. It has a dog park, but we kept our fury friend with us. We were there to try the skate park. Most people give the skate park low marks but for our needs it was perfect. It's a snake park and a good place for beginners that like to land surf. It has a shallow end and a deep end and you don't have to worry about getting stuck in the bowl. A lot of skate parks leave out the beginners, but this one is has a good mix. No rails at this one.

Candlelight Park is a spacious and well-maintained park with three separate fenced areas for dogs of different sizes, allowing them to run freely without feeling crowded. The park provides running water throughout the year and even has kiddie pools for dogs to cool off in. Visitors can also find bags in the bag stations in case they forget to bring their own. In addition to the dog park, the park features a playground, basketball court, and a large grass field with soccer goals.
This park had it all! Plenty of space for dogs of all sizes. There is a separate play area for those under 25lbs and the. Two very large areas for the rest. The location is also next to a play park for kids. Bonus, each of the areas have a nice walking path around them. Everyone can get their steps in! There was water. Not sure if there is a restroom or not. Dogs had fun and we stopped twice a day while we were visiting the area.

Fun place to visit. They have a dog park and playground as well as a basketball court and large grass field with soccer goals. Place is constantly maintained by the city. I haven't seen any creeps here either. Only downfall they dont have a bathroom or Porto potty
Steve J — Google review
I really enjoy this park for my dog. Mostly friendly people, and dogs. The park has plenty of room for the dogs to go around and they provide poop bags for your dog. There are buckets of water for the dogs to drink from and and two faucets to fill the buckets. They also have a little kiddie pool where your dog can lay in and cool off.
Anthony M — Google review
There are 3 different fenced areas here. One specifically for small dogs and 2 for any kind. All the areas are large enough for the dogs to run and not be crowded. There's running water here all year round and people generally keep kiddie pools for the dogs to cool off in on either side of the park. There are also usually bags in the bag stations in case you forget. The only reason its not 5 stars is because I wish it had more shade and, like every dog park I've been to, there's poop lying around (although there does seem to be slightly less here than elsewhere).

The park features a playground for kids, picnic tables, and even a performance space. Additionally, there are walking and biking trails that wind through the lush surroundings. Visitors can also find refreshments nearby with specialty coffee, teas, and baked goods available in the vicinity.
I absolutely love this park. Huge field, basketball court, a gazebo, and a wonderful playground for the kids. The bike path goes through here. Has sand, small kid playground, big kid playground, has a merrygo round [modern one is suppose], has two regular swing, two double swing with one big swing and one baby swing together so you can swing together, and they also have the disability swing chairs. Generally, it is a pretty friendly crowd of parents through there with good kids.

This park is awesome! There is so much to do and it's great! Lots of grass to play sports on, lots of places to sit for food, covered picnic benches are a plus. They also have public bathrooms. We love the walking paths around the park so the kids get some time to play, while we also get a nice walk as well. The park itself is great. There's a huge sand area with lots of sand fun. A few different types of seesaws, a small park for littles, and a bigger one for older kids. There are swings for every age as well. No complaints about this park. It is great.
Kayla H — Google review
What a great park! Swings that an adult can swing in, while their toddler sits in an attached swing! Too cool! A whole lot, of really GREAT playground equipment, has been installed here. There's a cement walkway, going around the park, which makes a great lil kiddo freeway, for scooters or bikes. Huge sand area too. The bathroom was nice & clean, with flush toilets, not outhouses. The grass was lush, soft, comfortable & well groomed. There was a lovely shade tree to sit under, to get out of the Sun. This is a quiet & peaceful area, in a sweet neighborhood. We will go back numerous times!

A gen-ewe-wine neighborhood Park. Big field. A stream runs through it. Trees. All kinds of playground apparatuses-sus. BBall hoops. Three picnic tables. Kids, kids, and children all running around. From tiny tots to teenage mutant ninja turtles. Excellent. We had a birthday party for my nephew. We were not the only ones with this idea. The Sun was out as was the whole neighborhood. Cool. Need I say more? Pizza, cupcakes, family and friends.

Small nice park with playground equipment for kids to play on, which is on top of sand for safety. Benches for parents/caregivers to watch kids. Lovely to take a walk in. There are a couple of tables under cover at the back of the park for picnics and I believe they can be reserved. There is plenty of open space to play Frisbee or to throw a ball.

Bethel Community Park is a fantastic destination nestled in northwest Eugene, perfect for families and individuals of all ages. This vibrant park features an impressive playground equipped with various structures that keep children entertained for hours. Families can enjoy picnics on the spacious grassy fields or engage in friendly games on the basketball courts. The park also boasts a skate park, making it a hub of activity for both kids and adults alike.
This park is beautiful. There were families having a birthday party, families playing Muggle Quidditch, and kids playing on all the different jungle gyms and play toys. There are picnic benches, bathrooms, and ample parking. There is a skate park over the hill. And there were lots of dog walkers on the paths, all respectful and leash conscious. FYI, the actual park is on the other side of the ball field, not right off Legacy.

This charming park features ample shaded picnic areas, making it an ideal spot for families to unwind and enjoy nature. The towering Douglas firs provide a serene backdrop while children can explore the exciting jungle gym filled with slides, swings, and climbing structures that spark their creativity.
Great little park with a water feature in the sand pit Memorial Day through Labor Day. Playground, halfcourt basketball court, tennis court, and a small frisbee golf course throughout the giant old trees. Picnic tables and benches throughout the park. There’s bathrooms here but I don’t know if or when they are open. We visited last in May and they still weren’t open at that time. The drinking fountain by the toilets was running though.

Nestled amidst Eugene's bustling neighborhoods, Sladden Park offers a peaceful oasis for families and outdoor enthusiasts. Towering Douglas firs cast dappled shadows over the park's well-maintained grounds, creating a serene atmosphere. The highlight for little ones is undoubtedly the jungle gym, boasting slides, swings, and climbing structures that ignite imaginations. Parents can relax on nearby benches, watching their children frolic, or enjoy a picnic under the shade of the majestic trees. For the more active, Sladden Park tennis court, perfect for honing your skills or engaging in friendly matches. Great park, adults playing Frisbee golf, but shockingly no drugs! Major change from bend oregon! Bend parks you'll randomly have grown ass adults show up, start smoking weed and blasting music full of obscenities as if parks are not places for kids.

Nice little park with some picnic benches, a basketball court, and a tennis court. There are 3 disc golf baskets also so you can get some putting practice in but that's pretty much it; without beaning someone with a disc golf disc. There's some restrooms there as well.

Mid-sized playground with quite a few fun features. The sideless slide makes me nervous but my preschooler has no problem staying on - neither did I. Along with the playground equipment (slides, swings for big and little kids, teeter-totter, small spinning feature, etc.) there are also basketball hoops, tennis courts, restrooms and plenty of grassy area.

Sidewalks are wide and lead through the park, well shaded and relaxed, a few picnic tables are wheelchair accessible. Has a tennis court, basketball court, disc golf, a play ground, and a nice open field. Seems like a lot of summer activities take place here for kids of all ages and it's welcoming to everyone in the public. Normally has a nice breeze also!

Awesome garden! I didn't even know this place was here until I googled parks in Eugene for a proposal photoshoot for a couple all the way from Arizona! This place was perfect and great to walk around for a little while. There weren't very many rhododendrons in bloom in the middle of April, but there were plenty of other flowers and trees blooming with amazing colors! There's a pretty good size area of grass for you to bring your Voodoo Donuts and have a picnic under the trees! It's in a hilly area of Eugene so there is a good view. There are a bunch of little trails and we only walked part of them. It's really easy to get to off I5 and close to shopping/food. I want to go back soon to see what else has bloomed!

I absolutely LOVE this garden. Even when the rhododendrons aren't blooming, the trails to walk , and benches to sit are wonderful. I like to come here because it is so well maintained. This garden is an awesome spot to see beautiful plants year round and amazing varietals of rhododendrons from all over the globe. Awesome just for meditation on one of the many places to sit and view the city of Eugene and all the flowers.

We went to the Rhododendron Garden the 29th of April. It was a perfect Spring day. We were surprised that there were not very many people there as it was afternoon although the upper lot was completely full after we parked there. Even though several varieties were 'spent' there were many more in full bloom. There are also many yet to bloom so they are not at peak. Wonderful variety of color. Pictures tell just a part of the splendor. You really need to get out and see it for perspective as the park in totality is beautiful.

Irwin Park is a delightful destination that has been cherished by families for years. With its well-maintained play structures designed for safety and fun, it's the perfect spot for kids to explore and enjoy. The park features a cozy covered area, making it ideal for picnics or relaxation. Families can also take advantage of the nearby store for snacks or refreshments.
I've been going to this park for literally 20 years. My Mom took my siblings and I and now I take my daughter. Since my childhood the city (or whoever is in charge of these things)has kept up with upgrading it. It has a nice play structure on it and a nice little covered area. There is a little store conveniently right down the street . The park is clean and the street it's on is quite. It's great to bring your kids. It has a large grass area with a sidewalk that goes from one side to the other perfect for walking . I've been there all different times of the day etc and I've always felt safe. This is one of my favorite spots to go to for a quite nice place to enjoy a park.

Its a really nice park. The playground is good for kids of all ages, andnthwres a baseball and soccer field as well. Only current downside is they took out the porta potty that had been there the last years... <maybe more? I only found the park last summer> so that kinda stinks. I live a couple hours away and wound up taking a nap in my car for maybe an hour, And when I woke up I sang for a bit and had a mini concert in my car while the kids were doing their soccer practice, and most of thenparents seemed to enjoy it, no one was rude or yelled about it. It seems to be a nice area with lovely people frequenting it!

This park is such a run down neglected waste of space. Nothing is fun or new. It's all busted and old. They should make a replica of that one park in N. Portland near Lombard and MLK.... The one with the really cool built-in xylophone that sounds like a childhood dream. I love that place... Oh yeah, it's called Harper's Playground at Arbor Lodge Park in Portland. Best. Park. Ever. There is no reason why Eugene most park deficient neighborhood should be treated as 2nd class citizens and be left with nothing but this dump of a boring park.
David D — Google review
This is a very family friendly park. It has newer play structures and the wood chips are engineered specifically to prevent splintering and provide cushion for your little ones. Their is a baseball/softball field and plenty of room to toss a ball around. Also, this park has a single basketball hoop with a great backboard and netting. Enjoy!
Mario D — Google review
More Updates: Fun playground with some wear and tear... some additional wear and tear - holes are being cut in the tube-tunnel from one section of the play-structure to the other - presumably to remove significant graffiti. At the same time there is quite a bit of graffiti, inside and out - on both the tube and the slide. Updated: graffiti on small slide and tube-tunnel has been covered with blue paint - which came off on your kids clothes and shoes. Paint now fixed - mostly graffiti-free. Broken GLASS - on main structure and in nearby woodchips.

Visitors can enjoy various amenities such as a water/sand feature, play structures for both big and little kids, swings, interactive paths, picnic tables, and well-maintained landscaping with ample grassy areas.
Such a great park. We love all the grass and picnic tables around it. The grass has a nice little hill thay kids love to roll down. There's a basketball hoop as well. The playground has a sand pit with rocks to play on, a sand and water toy, and playhouse. The other side of the park has a few slides, swings, and lots of rock and rope climbing areas. Also very clean. Highly recommend this park

⚠️Be careful in this park & any park other with sand! My friend’s child got highly contagious ringworm from playing in the sand, which is an apparent litter box for cats on the loose! (Ck your cat & other pets for hair loss + dry patches! You’ll know the infected area if you see a red ring on the infected skin. Then isolate your cat INDOORS.) It can be passed from animal>animal, animal<>human & then human>human. It’s a real hassle sterilizing the whole house with a little one infected & with them touching everything! An upcoming b-day party had to be cancelled due to it spreading to another one of her children, even after she thoroughly sterilized the house, textiles (blankets, sheets, towels, etc). For more info, the Mayo Clinic site can tell you more. ⚠️The moderate rating is not to diss necessarily this park but to alert you to the sand that had ringworm in it from cat fecal matter.)

Really great playground, might bring a change of clothes if your kiddo likes sand. There's some picnic tables and benches around the playground. There are some trees next to the basketball court and an open field. There's some baggies to pick up after dog poop. In a quiet residential area, looks safe.

We LOVE this park! We love it so much, we moved into the neighborhood for it! It's so great for family and everyone from the neighborhood goes there. There's large Filbert trees for kids to climb and picnic tables. There's a half court basketball court. A hill with a large field to throw balls for your dogs, roll down the hill in the grass, have a picnic or play baseball. There's a drinking fountain, sandbox and playground area with woodchips. There's no homeless and if you leave something there, it's likely to be there when you come back. Totally recommend to families! The playground isn't a great one for little little kids but they sure do love the sandbox and grassy areas. The hill makes for a great sledding hill when it snows too!

Probably my favorite park (except no bathroom ) in Eugene because it's hardly ever crowded, it's quiet it has a water/sand feature, big kid vs little kid play structure, swings and interactive paths picnic tables, no BBQ :( nice landscaping and lots of grass, there's also a grass hill. You could bring cardboard, chalk, a kite, sand toys, gallons of tap water, picnics, bikes, skateboards, skates, bubbles, soccer balls, foot balls, frisbees, ECT just minus a star for no potty.... Otherwise 5*
Jasmine F — Google review
One of our favorite parks in the area. Plenty to keep kiddos busy. They also chose up keep a good handful of the filbert trees on one side of the park providing some decent shade in the warmer months and a nice bit of history.

A beautiful lil park in the lovely neighborhood off Bond Ln. Much bigger than it seems when you find the trail at the edge and follow for a nice stroll alo g a gravel path. Overall very nice and pleasant park. The play structures are in good repair. The slide is a bit more on the advanced side vs other nearby parks, but it's built well enough to have a parent slide down with a little one like we did. The walking path through the wooded area is decently maintained. The gravel is a bit jaggad so your little one may scrape their hands/knees when they biff it and the blackberries are a bit overabundant, but it's still a nice stroll that has lots of access points to the neighborhood.
Nathan W — Google review
Quiet neighborhood with families coming and going. The extra brace on the toddler swings made it easy for my two-year-old to go "super high!" Like most parks it does not have a restroom, which is hard with a potty trainer. We will definitely come back.

I've been coming to this park for over 40 years, since before there were houses all around it! My friend and I used to bring her horse there when we were teenagers and let the little kids "ride" her.... Great memories!

I've been going to this park regularly for around two years now. It's absolutely one of my most favorite places. The playground is wonderful, and there are lots of picnic tables and trees to sit at. A beautiful area all together. (There's also an apple tree, so watch out for gravity.)

We LOVE going to Bond Lane Park! The play structure is fun and engaging, there are baby and kid swings, the PURPLE DINOSAUR IS EVERYTHING, there is plenty of grass to run, and the gravel trail is really lovely to walk. There are ample trees under which to drop a picnic blanket and a few picnic tables! MY only complaint is the merry-go-round, it's one of those old ones, I'm honestly not sure when they were put in, but they started to be taken out during my teen years. This seems to be one of the last ones

I like this park quite a bit. I've only been here a handful of times, but it was highly recommended to me by some friends who live in the area. The play structure is well maintained and there park benches as well. Great place.

Pacific Park is a popular spot for families and park enthusiasts in Springfield. The layout includes a well-maintained basketball court, expansive grassy areas suitable for various activities, and a concrete path that attracts walkers and joggers. While there are no on-site restrooms, visitors can find a water fountain near the centrally located picnic benches. The park is known for being kid-friendly with separate play areas catering to different age groups, swings, and clean surroundings that make it ideal for family outings.
This park is so cool! There's play equipment at this park that I haven't seen at other Willamalane parks. It's quiet and there is a lot of seating for picnics on either side of the door bridge.
Ashlee C — Google review
My daughter & I often visit this park. It has a nice layout & good basketball court. The grounds are generally in good order with a large grassy area that has multiple uses, from picnicking to playing catch. there is a concrete path from one end of the park to the other that is popular with walkers & joggers. There are no restrooms on the park grounds. However, there is a water fountain located by some picnic benches centrally located. I can recommend this park as a good location to take your kids to play as they will enjoy the playground as much as my 6 year old daughter does.

The park features comfortable swings, slides, and even monkey bars for those adventurous spirits!
Fun park. Lots of grass to run and play. The quarters of the park has fence which is really nice. Baby swings and regular swings. A few slides. Picnic benches. Very clean. Handicap parking available and access. Everything else is off street parking.

Small park. The play structure feels small too and but is ok for a toddler. It is high though for younger toddlers but should be fine under adult supervision. There's a grassy area for children to run. I mainly went to attend a Library Toddler session that took place at this park. It was fun!
Lourdes B — Google review
The playground is small but decent. There were some neighborhood kids cussing up a storm as they climbed the big tree by the road, they stopped as my teen asked them to though. (You know its bad when a teenager is asking them to stop). Otherwise there were benches to sit at, cute art tiles along one of the sidewalks, and working playground equipment. The grassy area is big enough to toss a frisbee and let the kids run.

The park is well located to serve this Ferry Street Bridge neighborhood. Well equipped with fun-colorful play structures for youngsters. A pleasant ☺😄😃 place to play Frisbee with your dog 🐶🐕🐩 or just walk, and get outside to enjoy some fresh air. 😀

Super nice park. The sand area is awesome. There are two sand scoops period one of them. You can sit on and scoop. There's a sand sifting area that's pretty cool. Tetter totter. Lots of climbing structures. There are two Slides. A drinking fountain. There are four swings and one of them is for alter-able children.

A fun little neighborhood Park. Lots of little kids with their elders in tow. My nephew loves parks. No kids his age this time. I have one concern. There is a two inch ledge going from cement to saw dust. I tripped going in and a small child tripped going out. Be careful.

LOVE LOVE LOVE this park! Beautiful park that loops around the neighborhood back to the play structure. The play structure even has a splash path(small fountain that shoots up) Huge sandbox. If you don’t mind the kids getting dirty it’s a great spot that keeps them entertained and cool. There is a porta potty on site that seems cleaned every two days, so it’s decent just bring hand sanitizer. There is a couple paths that loops (one bark great for running) they loop around and there is a community mini library you can read a book and frolic on the many grassy hills and have a picnic.

Cute little neighborhood park with a nice playground. Many of the features we like the most with the exception of a larger structure with platforms, bridges, etc. The single twisting slide collects a large puddle at the end of the slide - could be helped by a couple of well placed drilled holes. There were a number of dog-owners and dogs who came through for some off leash play in the grass - no problems for us, but worth knowing for the dog-nervous.

You will have to walk through the neighborhood but not impossible to get to.

Eugene's equivalent of a Central Park, Alton Baker is a mix of native riparian and riverine habitat, fringed with urban amenities. Dirt trails mix with asphalt paths and concrete bikeways, flanking the Willamette River as it courses through town. For a getaway in the city, this is pretty neat, and the Parks Department does a pretty good job keeping invasive species at bay. Don't expect anything too wild and you won't be disappointed.

Hiking Trails
McKenzie River National Recreation Trail in Oregon offers stunning natural beauty and hidden treasures along the way. The trail caters to a variety of hikers, with gentler sections near Fish Lake for beginners or older individuals, while more advanced but breathtaking terrain awaits further down near Belknap. The area is known for its scenic camping spots and well-maintained trails, making it an ideal destination for a leisurely stroll or a more challenging hike.
Out of this world. Oregon at it's most beautiful. The hidden treasures of spaces to find only on this trail are to die for. Up towards Fish Lake the trail s a little kinder to us older newbies. Down out of Belknap is more advanced, but beautiful beyond words.

Heads up! This is NOT where the trail starts. Go back down South to find the actual McKenzie River Trail. This path only leads you to a Do Not Trespass Road. This trail on GPS is confusing and the signs on the road for it are limited.

Biking Trails
The Delta Ponds natural wetlands area is a well-liked spot for bird-watching, fishing, biking, and hiking. Families with children often enjoy strolling through this picturesque location. There is parking available behind Valley River Center, although it lacks restroom facilities, requiring visitors to cross the river or utilize the mall's amenities. The surroundings are abundant with diverse wildlife, including various bird species and other creatures.
Edited Review 2 months later on 1-8-25 It is completed! Finally! It is absolutely beautiful and lots of places to sit and go fishing. When it has been raining alot you cannot access the whole path. I'll copy and paste what Eugene Rec has on their website about the pond path. "While the trail provides important connectivity, visitors should note that segments may be temporarily inaccessible during high water events. This design approach was intentionally chosen to balance multiple priorities. The trail's placement reflects our commitment to protecting the sensitive Delta Ponds ecosystem, which serves as critical habitat for diverse wildlife including Chinook salmon, northwestern pond turtles, herons, beavers, otters, and numerous bird species. The ponds' direct connection to the Willamette River creates a dynamic water system influenced by both local weather and upstream dam operations. While elevating the entire trail above high water levels was considered, this would have required an additional 1,500 feet of boardwalk—a solution that was cost-prohibitive both for construction and long-term maintenance. Trail users should plan accordingly during wet weather months, as water levels can change. " Beautiful beautiful place in town to walk. The only downfall to these paths is that it is not yet a circle. Although it is to be finished in 2025 I heard, as well as you can hear all the free way traffic. Although it is so peaceful and serene that you can almost forget the traffic is there. I often see Great White Egbert's, Pond Turtles, Great Blue Heron's, many species of ducks, and in the spring, there are baby dragonflies! If you like walking paths, this is a very easy one to do. Little kids could do it, but if your kid wanders easily, they could end up in the pond due to easy access at many points. People also come here to fish a lot. DO NOT LEAVE ANYTHING IN YOUR CAR. IVE WITNESSED 2 BROKEN CAR WINDOWS MID DAY HERE.

It’s a beautiful place where you can stroll before or after shopping—or simply take a leisurely walk while admiring the lotus flowers blooming in the pond. I’ve visited this spot many times, often while coming to shop at Macy’s or JCPenney. But lately, it feels like I come here solely for this place. There are several viewpoints scattered throughout where you can enjoy the scenery. Around this time of year, the intense sunlight and uncomfortable temperatures can be tough, but the shade under the trees offers a relaxing retreat. You can simply search for “Delta Pond Upper Parking Lot” on Google Maps to find your way there. One downside is the lack of trash bins—except at the starting point—so I have to carry my dog’s waste bags the whole way. And being close to the highway means there’s some noise and dust, which is a bit unfortunate. Still, this spot is definitely worth recommending, and I think I’ll keep coming back.

The largest open-air park grills I've ever witnessed have captivated my interest. The river flows through the park, accompanied by a trail situated right beside it, which I thoroughly enjoyed. However, if one plans on camping there, it tends to be quite crowded. Nonetheless, the day park itself is exceptionally impressive! It boasts the most remarkable public shelters I have ever encountered in a park.
What a hidden gem!! Trees are beautiful! Shower house is clean but does close at 8 pm. They have a laundry room which is very nice. Three large industrial washers and three dryers. Close to the highway but surprisingly quiet. We had site #2 which was an easy horseshoe pull-through. We do not own a dog but for those who do they have an enormous fenced in play area for them. Quite a few people there were enjoying that with their pups. Very nice stop on the way to Washington State. Will definitely come stay again if traveling through.

For me an easy place to stay when working out of town. I stage my camper in the morning at the office. Then after work place it in my camp spot. At the end of the week I stage my camper and take it after work. Camp hosts are easy to communicate with. The 4, not 5 stars is because the showers timers suck! It's free but I want to shower. Not 7 min then wait 5 min for 7 more. Fix that and we have no problems 👌🏻
Julien B — Google review
This was our first time camping here. I really enjoyed the spacious sites, large picnic table and fire pits in our campsite. There were many large trees and great walking paths that lead to the river. This campground has a day use area, boat launch, large dog park, showers, nice bathrooms, and even laundry facilities. I liked that it's location is close to Coburg and Eugene, but you feel like you're out in the country. I'll definitely stay here again!

This is a really cool RV park! Very clean, and well taken care of! The whole area is really big, and there are plenty of hiking trails along the beautiful river! Pet friendly. Lots of places to camp here also!

It's a nice place to stay. We were in site 4. I-5 is not far, but road noise wasn't bad. They have showers and laundry room with lock code (I didn't use either) and restrooms that are well lit at night. You can also hook up to cable with 55 channels and 5 antenna stations. The only possible downside to being secure, there was a vagrant allowed to ride his bicycle with trailer through the campground. After he road through, he stopped at the check in both and the host allowed him to go through the dumpster. I'd be ok with the outside dumpster, just not inside the campground.

Beautiful, expansive park bordering the McKenzie River. Great for camping, walking & hiking trails, picnicking, and hosting events. Boat launch and a separate dog park. Crilly Trail is even beautiful during the winter, when the ferns and moss provide lots of greenery.

Years ago the park was lush and green, Grass could use some water its now dry and yellow (Fire Hazard) Still a nice park to go for a walk and or picnic. Has shelters and tables and barbeques Has a Boat Launch to get your boats into the river There is another section in the park that is away from others but has been gated for a number of years. Has walking paths and as dog friendly (Leash required) Photos only show the walking trails and the river the grass is ugly and dead I gave it 3 stars because of the grass

Park
Wild Iris Ridge Park is a hidden gem located in Southwest Eugene, offering a 2.6-mile loop trail known as the Iris Ridge Trail. The park features gravel and rustic roads that lead to Bailey View Prairie, with additional loop routes for exploration within its 250-acre area. Visitors can enjoy the park's namesake wild iris blooms during early spring while taking in panoramic views of West Eugene throughout the year.
Nestled in a serene setting, this park offers a tranquil escape for nature enthusiasts and bird watchers alike. As an oak savannah habitat peppered with majestic pines, the park provides ample shade and a diverse ecosystem that is a haven for avian life. During my visit, I was delighted by the sights and sounds of at least 20 different bird species, making it a true paradise for ornithologists and casual birders. The park features a loop trail that offers a somewhat challenging hike, with an elevation gain of approximately 700 feet within the first 1.5 miles. This makes for an invigorating walk that rewards hikers with stunning views and a close encounter with the local flora and fauna. The trail does have some wet spots near the bottom, which adds a bit of adventure to the trek but might require appropriate footwear. However, visitors should be aware that parking is very limited, which can be a drawback during peak hours or weekends. Early arrival is recommended to secure a spot and to enjoy the park at a quieter pace. Overall, it is a gem for those looking to immerse themselves in nature without straying too far from the comforts of the city. Its peaceful ambiance, combined with the rich biodiversity and scenic trails, makes it an excellent destination for anyone looking to reconnect with the outdoors.

Before going to this place, I read some reviews that mentioned many uphill sections, but the inclines were not worrisome at all, and it wasn't continuously uphill, so beginners would have no issues if they don't rush. The trail was well-maintained. Hiking with my five dogs was hectic but enjoyable. Although some houses and high-voltage lines were visible, thinking of them as landmarks made the hiking path not too bad. Make sure to follow the trail signs to avoid entering private property. The parking lot has about ten regular spots and a couple of unofficial ones. The total distance I walked was 3.98 miles, and it took about 1 hour and 30 minutes. This hike is doable even with regular sneakers. It's a recommended trail, and I plan to visit this place often with my dogs in the early mornings during weekdays.
Kai D — Google review
Great local 1.5-3.5 mile loop hike depending on where you start from.
Philip R — Google review
Lovely hike, on the summit you can see for miles in nearly every direction inspiring your wanderlust. As of March all the debris from the latest ice storm has been cleared and the full trail is now accessible!
Toby M — Google review
I'd give this park 3.5-4. It's hilly park with loop trail at the top & few trails branching at few places. It starts at grassy open area to more woodsy with oaks, poison oaks, evergreens, some wild irises, & wildflowers along the trails. The trail consists of rocky maintenance trail & as you climb up, it becomes more dirt. Great views of Eugene at the top! Pros: parking lot, hilly, fairly well maintained trails. Cons: hilly, no bathroom or water, small parking lot

Wild iris rose is an exquisite gem nestled in the heart of Eugene, offering a breathtaking hiking experience that captures the essence of nature’s beauty. This trail is a haven for those seeking a serene escape, as it rarely suffers from overcrowding, allowing for an intimate connection with the natural surroundings. The hike itself is a harmonious blend of challenging ascents and gentle paths, making it an ideal choice for both avid runners and casual hikers. The invigorating run up the mountain provides a rewarding sense of accomplishment, while the stunning vistas at the summit are nothing short of spectacular. Wild iris stands out as one of my favorite hikes in Eugene, not only for its scenic allure but also for the tranquility it offers. Each step along the trail is a testament to the pristine wilderness, creating an all-around exceptional outdoor experience. This trail is a must-visit for anyone looking to immerse themselves in the splendor of Eugene’s natural landscape.
Leo V — Google review
Beautiful trails. Close to town. Dog/kid friendly. Easy paths, not rocky. Hikes up to the tip of another landing or in a loop. Wild irises blossoming at the top along path edges. Great views. Fairy garden at middle point of loop if u watch closely

A nice hike! You can go more than 5 miles if you go off trail on some of the fire roads. The basic hike is not easy with a big elevation climb from the parking lot to the summit. Or start from the summit trailhead and go downhill to start.

I've always loved this park .. it's the best one to go to in the summer because there are so many trees and covered areas to shade it and because there is a pool there!!!

This is a great park for all ages, however, in the summertime (especially on weekends) it can get quite crowded and chaotic. There is plenty of play structures for every age of child. Small sand pit. Covered picnic areas that you can rent out. Plenty of picnic tables and benches, plus lots of grassy areas to put down a blanket and relax. Definitely a top tier playground for the Eugene area. Oh! And public restrooms!

Wonderful park. The grass is the first thing I noticed. Whoever is maintaining it is doing a fabulous job. Great areas designated for playground equipment, covered gathering areas, tall trees for shade and picnic areas, skate park, volleyball, and so much more. This was my first time being there on a church outing, and I am truly impressed. It is a beautiful family gathering place.

The play structures a blistering on a hot day, and the wading pool is closed on Sundays. Otherwise, it's a nicely kept up park with plenty of room to spread out. Watch out for the over-watered boggy areas.

The toilets are clean and well-stocked (I'm a fan of good bathrooms). There are lots of picnic benches for gatherings, and lots of shade for hot days. This park doesn't have a huge open grassy area; not ideal for flying a kite or playing frisbee or other ball sports. There is a basketball court behind the park, however, and it is pretty good.

Despite its smaller size compared to other parks in the area, it provides enough space for various outdoor activities like soccer or flying kites.
I like this little park in the middle of a really nice , and beautiful neighborhood in Eugene, Oregon. It's a really clean, park with a big green grassy hill to lay on and the kids and animals to roll down. It's got basketball court, walking trail around it. It's very well maintained. Nice park and lots of shade. Free lunch for the kiddos during the summer. There are swings, slides, sandpit, basket ball hoops and a strange concrete area that appears to have been a foutian at one point. Great park but with it being super wish the splash pad was working. 1 is shut off totally for repairs as a sign says but no timeline given...like the button has been removed so not thinking a quick repair. And the other pad is only half working because kids have shoved things in the water spouts so they are messed up...aka WATCH YOUR KIDS AND DON'T LET THEM DESTROY PARKS. But having pretty much only 3 spots where it is working fully makes it not great currently. With there only being 2 actual splash pads in Eugene having 1 not working is unfortunate for the summer. Hoping they fix it because it is disappointing currently. Usually we go at least weekly in the summer to play here in the water so hoping it actually gets back running somwtikes this summer. But if you are a parent and your kid is going to play here tell them to not stuff sticks in the pipes and if you are there with your kids especially and see them breaking things and being destructive tell them to stop. Your kid shoving a stick in something may be fun for them for 90 seconds but ruins it for every other kid for potentially days or weeks. Will check every now and then to see if the repairs are done but hope to see it up and running soon. It is a great place for kids in the summer.

Hileman back channel...bigger, more current, and opened up. The log jam seems to have been pushed to the side. WARNING: the channel reenters the Willamette after a bay around the bend. This is very swift and powerful and sweeps you into dangerous snags. Unsafe for floating and inexperienced boaters. Please be careful.

I have walked this park for 4 years now. This is a natural very large park. It has a nice half mile hike to the river, on a wide path, with many side paths that are more rustic. I have had zero issues with vagrants as the very few I have seen disappear quick. There is great river access here and it is a great place to walk canines. I have met many nice people walking the paths here. If you want a dog park fenced expierience with drama and close quarters than this park is NOT for you. I see deer, geese, cranes and tons of wildlife here. This is a great quieter park in my honest opinion.

Skyview Solitude I wander to Skyview, a park on a hill, Where the world stands still, and the night turns chill. No footsteps follow, no laughter rings, Just me and the stars, the quiet they bring. The sky opens wide, a canvas so vast, Stories of stardust, echoes of the past. Alone in the glow of the cosmic dance, I dream of a crowd, of a fleeting chance. Wouldn’t it be grand if others came too, To gaze at the heavens in Skyview’s hue? Not for a reason, no plan, no rhyme, Just to share in the wonder, the rhythm of time. A gathering of souls beneath the night’s dome, Each finding their place, yet never alone. Eyes turned upward, hearts open and free, Bound by the mystery of infinity. Until that day, it’s just me and the stars, And the quiet embrace of this world of ours. But I’ll keep hoping, as starlight does gleam, That Skyview Park becomes more than a dream.

I love this place I wish others would as well I clean up garbage a lot along the river and it's very sad

Nice quiet and quaint little neighborhood park with a small playground and little league baseball field. The park area had several picnic table but there was some soggy areas in the grass and some sketchy homeless people living in there vehicle.

It's a nice place. Great for reenacting vampire baseball. 4 stars because all of the screws seemed loose and most of the boards were pretty wobbly. 10/10 place, 6/10 stability

A lovely park. A true neighborhood park. I can't see many people traveling to get for the slides. Wide open spaces on a hill. Paved walking spaces and a lot of grass. A small but large park. Neat. Dogs love it here
Gary S — Google review
Good park, wide open and good equipment for the kids. We always try to take the kids somewhere new and different. Sometimes parks are just open fields or hiking trails, not really suitable for little ones. This park has enough to keep them entertained for a while. Will be back.

Great play round and wide area of grass to play in!

Fun little playground. All the classics. Teeter-totter is pretty beat-up. A nice, tucked-away neighborhood.
Nathan B — Google review
Beautiful, scenic atmosphere with a sense of calmness and I found a true connection with God. It has a playground for the children and is also dog-friendly. Picnic tables and good energy..
Jeremey T — Google review
Pretty deec. Outdated playground stuffs but its all functional. Quiet but good clientele numbers. Good open space available. No restroom.
Scott K — Google review
Loving that park. Apple trees everywhere 😊❤️ my kids and I are in love with it.
Sam M — Google review
A bit spendy for a course where the public literally walks thru, jogs thru, or bikes thru your round. But a unique course and conveniently located. Clubhouse restaurant is pretty darn good after a round too.

48Downtown Riverfront Park

Park
Downtown Riverfront Park in Eugene is a delightful destination that beautifully showcases the area's natural beauty. Despite ongoing construction, much of the park remains accessible, allowing visitors to enjoy its scenic pathways and stunning views of the river. The park connects seamlessly with Eugene's extensive trail network, making it perfect for leisurely strolls or bike rides. As you wander through this newer gem, you'll find picturesque spots ideal for capturing breathtaking sunset colors over the water.
Visiting Eugene and stayed at the Timbers Inn. Walked down to riverfront Park in the morning and enjoyed the pathways as well as the bridge across to the University campus.

Really cool park. Awesome bouncy turf, climbing logs, a bathroom, 3 splash pad areas, nets, and some balance rounds. We went opening day and LOVED it. Great addition to the EWEB fountain.
Kristin E — Google review
You can definitely tell most of the funds went to underground work. Good for small children, but as soon as the fall weather comes this place will be empty. I get inflation but 5.3 million its pretty disappointing.
Daniel G — Google review
My kid says this is his new favorite park! Great addition to the river walk.
Corinna L — Google review
The trails and park are nice, but without access to the actual river (a beach area or something) and some trees for shade it is lacking in my opinion. I really think the river inaccessibility is a problem - it feels like Eugene isn't appreciating the Willamette river enough. So many towns that have rivers running through them let the river shine. Eugene seems to want to hide it and I feel that is a shortcoming of this park. For goodness sake, its call the riverfront!

Park seemed really nice, unfortunately I couldn't stay. I went today (Sept 2nd) and there were SO many very aggressive bees, as well as wasps. Perhaps for some that's not a big deal but I'm allergic. I don't want to find out if my 3yo is, too . Maybe something to keep in mind if you have an allergy, or phobia.
Jesi E — Google review
Beautiful and fun! We had a great time and impressed by the amenities (water bottle refill at the water fountain, bathrooms, different zones to hang, misting splash pad and cute statues to discover throughout the playground). A great addition!
Nina M — Google review
New park still under development but what is there is very nice. Shaded seating areas are nice.
