Blue Hole Park is a charming lagoon surrounded by limestone bluffs, creating a serene and picturesque setting. Located just a few blocks from downtown, it offers an ideal escape from the heat. The park features trails, picnic spots, and a wading area along the south fork of the San Gabriel River. Visitors can enjoy swimming in the natural pool or simply relax by the water's edge. Additionally, there are hiking trails that provide access to fishing in the river.
Fantastic and peaceful place, it is great for hiking and family-friendly atmosphere. Here, you can feel in contact with nature. It has endless green and fresh air with beautiful wildlife to be enjoyed. It is great for different ocations, hiking, running, photography session, picnic, family time, and much more. Highly recommended to visit in Georgetown!

Blue Hole Park is a wonderful place for walking, jogging, and spending quality time with friends and family. It’s also perfect for fishing enthusiasts! I went with my relatives and their kids, and we really enjoyed the beautiful atmosphere, greenery, and stunning scenery… and of course, the lovely faces 🤣🤩. My tip for visitors: Bring seating essentials like blankets or small chairs, and some snacks to make the most of your time. And don’t forget to keep the place clean!

Excellent retreat in this heat! Walk path leads to a small cemetery that was also interesting. Lots of shaded areas where you can seat. The mini falls was so refreshing. Free parking but limited.

This is a beautiful place to go spend the day with your family to swim and relax in the water. It has a deep area to swim in or float on behind the dam, and then where the water flows over the dam. There is a nice shallow part that is flowing where you can just set your chair in it and relax.Definitely recommend going.

Awsome place to go to. The environment is always friendly. The water is wonderful! There is no alcohol "allowed," but you can bring anything else as well as a Stanley cup.😉🤫 They have police to ensure rules are followed. you can bring your own grill. They provide trash cans for hot coals. Floats of all sizes are allowed prepare to walk them to the water😂 dogs swim at the bottom.

Fun park, especially after it’s rained a bit so there’s some water flowing down the little waterfalls. Parking is limited at the park entrance but there is plenty of street parking near by. Restrooms are available for public use. This park has a great little trail, Pickett Trail - a fun hike with a few rocky steps to climb and descend. You can bring your dogs, please keep them on leash. Our senior pup loves the park and all the fun smells/sights.

Awesome place to come for a swim. Mid June the water was perfect temperature to cook off on a hot day. Fairly busy around 5pm.

I had a blast here! It can get crowded but it's such a nice place to take family and friends to for a dip and a picnic! Definitely recommend wearing water shoes of some sort, bring a picnic blanket or a folding chair, some snacks and a drink and you're all set! I jumped off the bluff, it was great!!

Nestled in Georgetown, TX, Cedar Breaks Park is a serene and picturesque escape from the city. The park offers 64 well-equipped camping sites with amenities like hot showers and a dump station. With its expansive green lawns, shaded picnic areas, and natural springs, it's an ideal spot for a peaceful getaway. The park also features hiking trails that provide breathtaking views of Lake Georgetown.
Little mountain and rocky area. We arrived at 2pm and it was no traffic for checking in but there was a traffic while coming to the park and it was not good. We stayed at #15 campsite and it was really nice. We could go down to the lake and swim and we could see the lake from where we are. There are trees that you can put your hammock and enjoy the view. Lake is clean and nice but it is very deep for little kids so make sure you are always with them. Their fire pit and grill was nice but we only used grill because of no fire restrictions. Restrooms are clean, not too bad and they have showers which is nice to have. Every site was occupied and it was very nice to see kids are playing and enjoying their day. I love this place. Definitely going back. Beautiful sunrise and moon reflection on the lake.

Nice park. Great views of the lake. Fishing looked good. Was very windy. Unfortunately doesn't seem to have a beach area. Folks were boating and jet skiing though. Bathrooms were functional but not in the greatest condition.

What a great place for a day picnic, overnight camping, hiking, biking, fishing, and any type of water activities i.e. swimming, SUP, kayaking, jet skis, boating, wake boarding you name it! Its only a $5.00 day entrance fee per car load! Exceptionally clean clear blue green water no moss or any type of top water vegetation! Amazing views with nice picnic areas Was not crowded at all! What a hidden gem just 30 mins north of Austin! Highly recommended and I am a new forever patron!

Lovely day out here hiking around the lake. Beautiful views of lake Georgetown and fairly easy hikes. Be sure to have your dogs on the leash because not everyone is dog friendly and accidentally our friends’ dog was not on the leash and a lady started racist slurs against us ( which seems to be common around the area).

Very nice COE Campground. Very large sites, Water and Electric. Dump Station. Like most COE campgrounds, reasonably priced. $30 per night, we have Senior Life Time national Park pass so we get half off. 4 nights for $60.

San Gabriel Park, located on the banks of the San Gabriel River in Texas, is a 175-acre park that earned the distinction of being named a Lone Star Legacy Park by the Texas Recreation & Parks Society. The park boasts an abundance of 200-year-old oak trees and offers numerous biking and hiking trails along the river. Visitors can enjoy various amenities such as playgrounds, ball fields, public restrooms, and opportunities to watch ducks and geese or fish in the river.
Nice riverside park! Quite spacious and you’ll get to choose either to play at the playground or chill at the riverside! Nice walking path along the river as well! Good family friends time guarantee! Since it’s a nice spot, sometimes it gets dirty with trash due to irresponsible people but other than that it’s nice! At least we enjoyed our visit.
Mr. D — Google review
The TCC had its competition here and it was definitely great location to have this event. This is such a beautiful park and bigger than I expected. They have 2 playgrounds that I noticed, could be more but not sure as I didn't walk the entire park. Enjoyed taking a stroll by the water and seeing all the wildlife.
Rebecca S — Google review
Even though much of San Gabriel Park is currently temporarily closed due to July 4th flooding, we still had a great time at the skate park and splash pad today! The skate park was very kid-friendly—the kids had a blast riding their scooters and bikes around with plenty of room to play safely. With the summer heat beating down, we made our way over to the splash pad, which was a perfect way to cool off. The splash pad itself is simple but fun, with water fountains shooting up from the ground at different heights to keep the kids giggling. One downside: there are no covered tables at the splash pad, so on a super hot day like today, shade was hard to come by. That said, the surrounding area was sunny and beautiful, and the kids didn’t seem to mind the heat as much as we parents did! A big plus is the bathrooms, which are located right in the center of the splash pad and skate park—so convenient for parents with little ones. They were well-maintained and had plenty of stalls, which made our visit much easier. There are walking trails, dog friendly fields with doggy bag and waste locations throughout. Overall, San Gabriel Park is a great spot for families, even with some closures. We’ll definitely be returning for more fun once the weather cools down a bit and the whole park has been restored.
Angela C — Google review
Really nice park. This park is stretched along the river making a beautiful backdrop to any pictures taken. Plenty of space and picnic tables. Shade under a tree isn't hard to find. Beautiful place to take a break.
Brian A — Google review
San Gabriel Park is hands-down one of the best parks in Georgetown! From the peaceful river to the walking trails, playgrounds, and swings, there’s something here for everyone. My family especially loved watching the ducks and enjoying the relaxing atmosphere it’s the perfect spot to slow down, connect with nature, and let the kids run free. Whether you’re looking for a family outing, a quiet walk, or just a scenic place to recharge, San Gabriel Park is a true gem in Georgetown. 🦆✨
Juanita B — Google review
This park is beautiful and the trails are clean! There are parts of the walk that you get to go through creeks (if they aren’t dry) and to me those were the best parts! One of my faves for sure!
MaeMae L — Google review
This is a wonderful park to walk, jog, read, and just be amongst trees, next to the San Gabriel River. Plenty of parking locations, restrooms, picnic tables with full/partial shade. We’ve seen many people fish along the river too. Great park to walk with pups, there is a dog park area as well. Keep your dogs on a leash when walking the trails!

Garey Park, located in Texas, is a sprawling 525-acre municipal park that caters to a variety of outdoor enthusiasts. It features playgrounds, a splash pad, equestrian trails, and scenic overlooks. The park offers activities such as hiking, fishing, picnicking, and horseback riding. There is also a loop trail that takes hikers less than an hour to complete and can be repeated for longer walks.
Finally visited this lovely park! The park closes at 6 P.M. in the winter so we only had about an hour or so to explore. At the park entrance, we paid the day-use fee of $2 per adult ($2 for Georgetown residents over 12 years old; $4 for nonresidents). The park ranger asked for our street address and zip code to confirm Georgetown residence. We walked the meadow trail which starts at the parking across the Garey House, and has access to the river. Very peaceful all around, there’s even a birdwatching blind along the trail. Garey House looks beautiful from the outside and I believe it can be booked for events. The lake by the house is pretty and we saw people fishing in there (please visit the website for details, I’m guessing some sort of fishing permit must be required). On our way out we saw a coyote from our car, very cool to see it but of course be cautious when walking with your dogs! We’ll be visiting more frequently for sure before the summer heat sets in.
Malavika K — Google review
Garey Park is a beautiful spot that offers a fantastic escape into nature. The park's wide-open spaces, well-maintained facilities, and picturesque views make it a wonderful place to explore. The playground and picnic areas are great for families, there's a decent amount of ponds to go fishing, and the dog park is a nice bonus for pet owners. However, the trails could be more runner-friendly. While they’re scenic and well-marked, some are extremely steep, like the Saddle Loop, making them more suited for hiking than running. It’s a small drawback for an otherwise excellent park, but it’s worth noting if you’re planning on jogging or trail running. Overall, Garey Park is a gem for outdoor lovers, especially if you enjoy hiking or relaxing in nature. Just be prepared for some challenging inclines!
Matt P — Google review
The trail itself is very beautiful and quiet. Lots of different shaded trails if you want to stay off the main one and out of the sun. The naturalist area was really unique and welcoming.
Alex E — Google review
We visit Garey Park at least once a year and it never disappoints. We've gone since they first opened and explored around and they still maintain it very well. We typically visit the Play Ranch and back river area and the kids love it (I have a 2 and 5 year old and we brought my nephew who is 3, but have also met up with friends of all ages). It wasn't crowded at all this time around although we went on a Friday at 11:45 at the beginning of the school year. They also offer equestrian trails, hiking trails, a dog park, the Garey House for events and weddings, and bathrooms multiple places throughout the property. It costs per kid to get in the park but it's cheap, and cheaper if you're a confirmed resident of Georgetown. The Play Ranch is to the left when you enter the gates and has a cute and fun splash pad, a large covered pavilion with tons of picnic tables, multiple other pavilions that can be reserved, bathrooms, zip lines, different types of swings, a large playground (the slides can be painful) and smaller playground, various play structures such as horse to climb on, log tunnel, large snake, etc. and trees for shade in some areas. There is something here for every age for sure! If you go back and follow the signs and drive further down you'll pass the Garey House and park in the back lot for the hiking and river access. The trail to get to the main part of the river is jogging stroller friendly for the most part (we had our Pivot Explore wagon which also worked) because it's a bit of a walk for littles, especially in the heat. The water was flowing a bit and warm (but again it's the end of the summer in mid August) and there's some shade trees along the banks of the river. There is a bench in one spot but I suggest bringing your own seating if you want to hang some. We saw little dogs, large water snails, butterflies, dragonflies, birds in and out of the water, and lots of fish and minnows. We also climbed the large rock in the pictures....definitely a fun time for the kiddos, we will be back!
Ciara L — Google review
It’s a spacious park with plenty of amenities for children. There is a really good trail. Please be aware that there’s an entrance fee of 4$ for anyone over the age of 3.
Mukesh J — Google review
Visited for my friends son’s bday get together. Perfect spot for children to play either with the slides, swings, splash pad. Entrance fee required. Restrooms available. My friend picked some wild black berries on the trail.
Cambita F — Google review
Garey Park is a hidden gem in Georgetown! It’s such a beautiful and well-maintained space—perfect for families. The splash pad is a huge hit with the kids, and there’s plenty of shade, which makes it comfortable even on hot days. Totally worth the small entry fee. Whether you're looking to relax, play, or explore nature, this park has something for everyone. We love it!
Cecilia H — Google review
My family and I have been going to this park for a couple of years since it opened. What a blessing this place is to have here. When the water is flowing in the spring and early summer, it’s a great place to bring the family and kids to swim. There are fossils to find, and secret springfed Rivers. Catching release fishing in the ponds.

Berry Springs Park and Preserve is a hidden gem that spans over 200 acres of serene landscapes along Berry Creek. This tranquil park offers an array of activities for everyone, including nearly three miles of hiking trails, fishing spots, and picnic areas perfect for family gatherings. Nature lovers will appreciate the diverse wildlife and stunning views throughout the park. Families can enjoy a delightful day exploring the playgrounds or taking leisurely strolls on paved paths surrounded by lush greenery and impressive trees.
This park has such a calming effect—it's unbelievable!😄 I ❤️ being here, especially walking on the trails; it helps clear my mind and gives me peace. My favorite parts are the ponds along the walking trail. They're breathtaking on a sunny day. 🤩 I love that it's not too crowded either! All in all, it is a great place to clear your mind with nature!🙂
Jyothi K — Google review
This place is gorgeous, smaller trails & longer to accommodate everyone. Mostly pavement but able to go off to the side for some gravel / rocky ones. This is a LEASHED park & they have signs about reporting off leash dogs. So if you’re looking for an off leash hike, this isn’t the right park for you. Obviously, there’s lots of tall grass. We saw a rattlesnake on the side of the trail, so just be aware of your surroundings during prime snake time.
Christina C — Google review
Saw 2 kinds of herons, a duck and a snake swimming in the lake. The trail around the lake has some beautiful views. Primitive campsites further away look neat, would like to camp there. A long paved trail ends with a nice loop trail going close to the creek.
Aleksey T — Google review
This is such a wonderful park. The trails are shaded for the most parts, which is great for summer evenings or afternoons. There are several bird viewing decks. We spotted one deer and a heron. The park is of course, dog friendly, but please keep your dogs leashed. There is also a pen with two donkeys who are cute and may them up to you (near the fence) to get some pets. Plenty of parking and there’s also restrooms as well as covered picnic tables.
Malavika K — Google review
One of my favorite places to walk. It’s flat and not too strenuous. There’s plenty of shade and some water areas. There are cute donkeys in the middle of the park. Plenty of parking and both paved and unpaved trails. More secluded than the Blue Hole or other favorite Georgetown walking spots near the square.
Jasmine M — Google review
Berry Springs Park and Reserve is my #1 go to park. It’s got trails for miles and miles, amazing scenery, and IT IS SO CLEAN. There are tables around the area for picnic lovers about every half a mile apart or so, so you don’t have to look for too long if you come here to have a picnic! It is also pet-friendly! MAKE SURE YOUR ANIMALS ARE ON A LEASH! I know how tempting it is to let them run around specially around a huge field, but it’s just a huge no-no and could get you fined or worse, your pet could get seriously hurt. I recommend this park to anyone I know. Such a gem of a park, thank you for keeping it open to the public!
MaeMae L — Google review
This park offers the absolute best combination of Texas biomes. The marshy areas, open fields, small ponds and huge assortment of trees provide an amazing home to so many animals. This place is magic and the team that maintains it is phenomenal because it is always beautiful and well kept.

Rivery Park in Georgetown offers a variety of activities for visitors to enjoy. From disc golf and fishing in the pond to walking along the lush green trails, there's something for everyone. The park also features picnic areas, playgrounds, and restrooms. With miles of paved trails running alongside the river, visitors can hike, bike, run, or simply relax amidst nature. While it can get crowded during peak times, choosing off-peak hours allows for a more peaceful experience.
The City and County have done a great job with this public space. It's very convenient for most residents of Georgetown and less than 5 minutes from where I live. There are miles of paved trails along the river. You can hike, bike, run, fish, picnic, and there are playgrounds and even Frisbee golf. It can get fairly crowded on weekend mornings and weekday evenings, but if you are flexible and can pick your times, you will often pretty much have the place to yourself.
RLM — Google review
Pretty little park! There are multiple play areas along the walking trail, plus a bigger playground. The pond, bridge and lookout area make for some really lovely pictures! We came by on an early Monday morning and had the playground to ourselves, but there were lots of adults running and biking the trails, and playing disc golf. There were lots of red wasps around the playground which is to be expected for summertime, but just be aware. Unfortunately there was a lot of trash along the trails and in the bathroom. But we did see a crew coming by to clean up which is awesome! It's pretty loud as it's right next to the freeway, but still nice!
Taylor P — Google review
Very nice place to taste a little piece of the outdoors and nature, maybe even throw a few golf discs on the 18 hole course like we did. The disc golf course is not too long and includes plenty of shade along the way. Be sure to wear well fitting shoes to climb the hills and terrain that has plenty of rocks and brush to walk over and navigate, even if you keep all your throws in the fairway.
Bob P — Google review
Been a while since I took my children to Rivery Park and found a used condom right next to the door where my toddler sits. To anyone going here, be aware of your surroundings, do not leave belongings in your car, remember to lock your cars, be careful and respect the place too. I want my children to have a safe place to play outdoors and I wish the county would maintain this place more.
Au M — Google review
Rivery is a great area to get out for a walk, run or to take the kids! You'll have to watch yourself in some areas, theres a disc golf course which is also very well maintained. Highly recommend!

Beautiful park. We come here to walk, to exercise or just have a picnic. It is so serene, it's like having a relaxation session at a spa. Well taken care of and clean bathrooms. We love coming here at least twice a week.

Park is very nice, but it's pretty loud bc it's near the highway. There's nothing wrong with that, and it's to be expected. It's just not the atmosphere I was looking for at the moment. If you want peace and quiet, I suggest Cedar Breaks Park. My favorite thing was all of the turtles in the pond!! ❤️

Lake Georgetown, located in Georgetown, Texas, is a 1200-acre reservoir offering a variety of outdoor activities. Visitors can enjoy boating, bass fishing, camping, and hiking on the wooded shores. The area also features Blue Hole, a lagoon surrounded by limestone bluffs for swimming and exploring. Additionally, Inner Space Cavern offers remarkable cave tours with thousands of stalactites and stalagmites to admire.
Nothing better then hopping in on a hot summer day! Beautiful scenery. Enjoy a nice hike before taking a dip.
Michael K — Google review
The lake is fantastic but the access is where this experience really falls short. I went to Cedar Breaks Park, paid the 5 bucks for admission (online, pretty easy and painless), parked my car and realized that the only way down to the water is via the boat ramp. Not the WORST thing in the world but, it's a park. I figured there'd be some sort of path specifically for people with paddle boards or just swimmers. Getting down to the water (don't forget anything or you and your paddle board are going back up and down the ramp again), the shoreline is super rocky. Not the worst thing but I was in flip-flops. It'd probably be a good idea to invest in some of those super-nerdy water shoes. Getting into the water, everything is AWESOME. The lake is gorgeous and, quite fortunately, pretty breezy today. There weren't a ton of motorized water craft but, with the breeze, the water was a bit choppy. The water temperature was also amazing. A great adventure for anyone needing to decompress. Paddling back into the "marina" area where the boat ramp is I noticed a super janky floating peer. Getting closer to it I also saw there was a concrete staircase leading to it from beyond the parking area. Upon closer inspection, the janky peer appeared to be termites holding hands and I avoided attempting to step onto it. Also, the gangway leading down from the stairs to the peer was missing planks. I decided to stick to the boat ramp. I don't mind paying for park entry one bit, provided the park is maintained with decent access. The park was quite lovely for the most part but, as I said, fell short in the particular area of access. Sadly, I will likely not go back to this particular park. I will, however, check out the other parks (Jim Hogg, Russell, et al).
Calvin M — Google review
Lots of trails around the lake. Well kept, clean - went a few times throughout the week.
Allison R — Google review
I decided to go back for another checkup on the lake during this little drought we’re having. This lake is still amazing and is a nice spot for family to hang out. There’s plenty of areas to cast for tight lines. With the other side of the lake being the campground I would say this is a must stop for everyone!
Malcalm E — Google review
Amazing experience hiking and photographing around the Lake Georgetown. Water is so clear, it's blue and beautiful. Camping sites on other side of the lake look wonderful as well. Unfortunately there were construction going on at Cedar Park, so I had to return and hung out this other side of the Cedar Park which was awesome. Check out my pictures and find out why I gave it 5 stars 🌟

Lake Georgetown is a reservoir located in Georgetown, Texas. Water from the North Fork San Gabriel River is impounded behind the aptly named dam. Construction on the dam began in 1972 and was completed in 1979 with the lake being officially filled and finished in 1982. The entire project was a direct product of the Flood Control Act of 1962. Water from the lake is primarily surface runoff and natural spring water. Like many lakes, numerous recreational activities await the intrepid explorer. One of my favorite features is the Goodwater Loop (San Gabriel River Trail) which offers a 28 mile hike and many scenic spots. I highly recommend spending a day out here.

Crockett Garden Falls is a popular out-and-back trail in Georgetown, Texas, favored by hikers and mountain bikers. It's important to practice trail etiquette, especially when encountering bikers. The 2.5-mile hike offers shaded paths and breathtaking views of cliffs along the way. Once at the end of the trail, visitors are rewarded with access to a stunning waterfall where water shoes are recommended for those wanting to take pictures by the falls.
One of our favorite hikes in Georgetown. It’ll probably take about two hours if you walk at a decent pace. There’s tons of overlooks and picture opportunities. Since the freeze, the waterfall is much smaller as the top overhanging rock fell down but it’s still a great view. Highly recommend at any time of the year!

Great hike great views of lake bring plenty of water went to the falls don't follow Google go to cedar lake Park entrance we have two and a half mile walk in not too difficult of a trail you can stop and go swimming on Waze to the falls
Scott R — Google review
Don't come the way GPS says. It took us to a upcoming neighborhood and it's blocked off now for good. Keep straight on cedar. When we started the trail we were not able to find the falls, there are no trail markers like other trail we have been to, we walked 2 hours and could not find it. BRING PLENTY OF WATER THEY DO NOT SELL WATER AMD THERE ARE NO WATER FOUNTAINS OR RESTROOMS. The trail is intense, other than not being able to find the actual water falls it was nice. Just wish there was more guidance through the trails like all the other ones have.

Lovely park and falls. Do Not follow Google Maps to drive to Crockett Garden Falls. A private residence blocks it. Drive to Cedar Breaks Park and walk from there (3 miles each way). Limited road parking, otherwise $5 to park inside.
Aoife M — Google review
We started at overlook park. It didn’t cost to get in that day because the system was down but it usually does. We walked about 3 1/2 miles to get there through the woods and along the cliffs. The views of the cliffs are absolutely breathtaking. The trail is easy to walk on, but there is a lot of coral, sticking up as it all used to be underwater , when we got there, we noticed that some of it had collapsed and the views were not the same but we still got good views of the falls from the side. It started raining when we were there, but we couldn’t really tell the difference because we were already wet once we decided to leave and head back it was still raining and it made it very muddy and more difficult to hike. I would say this is probably intermediate to a hard hike although you are not going uphill for long it is a lot of folder, sticking up rocks and mud. If it had not rain, it wouldn’t have been as hard, but I still had a blast, and would do it again. The falls were very peaceful and the water was surprisingly not very cold.
CJ ( — Google review
The hike is about 6 miles total. Really relaxing and beautiful. Sadly some part of it has collapsed but still nice. We entered through cedar breaks park no signs or info on the trail but if you keep following the main trail you will get to the falls.

This is place is beautiful! The views are awesome but it’s a hike to get to anything worth seeing. You have to pay $5 to for admission or you can get a one year pass for $40. Everything is done with a QR code you scan at at the entrance near the parking lot. The hike itself is a medium difficulty. I walked about 2 miles in a did not make it to the waterfall before turning back. I recommend taking a large water bottle and good sturdy shoes. The beginning of the trail is loose gravel but as you go in more there are lots of big rocks you have to climb up. Sometimes the path is not super clear so be aware of your surroundings!
Lali P — Google review
Pay $5 to enter the park for day use, there is also a camp ground available for bookings. There aren’t really any directions to the trail heads but the first parking you get to has the trail start for Crockett Falls. No restrooms at the parking. Plenty of parking. Not many trail markers so All Trails was helpful. There is a tiny section near the waterfall which has steep steps to climb down. Fun trail, nice views of the lake, dog friendly (leashed). Slightly muddy (sticky mud, not sloshy) in several sections, so you will have to wash your pup’s paws!

Garey House is a stunning venue located outside of Austin, Texas, offering a beautiful setting for various events such as weddings and parties. The property boasts an upscale and glamorous vibe, eliminating the need for excessive decor or florals. With its picturesque surroundings, it provides ample space for ceremonies, cocktail hours, photography sessions, and receptions all in one location. The management is highly accommodating and responsive to inquiries, providing valuable suggestions when needed.
Very nice little gem in Georgetown. My first time here, hiked 4 miles. Could easily do 4 more on different trails. Trails are wide and manicured, not your typical trail system. Still, very pleasant. Nice border with the South San Gabriel River. $2 per person for Georgetown residents, $4 for non-residents.

Can't give it 5 stars. Most days there is $10 minimum entrance fee. The past few years there has been free entry on Tuesday during the fall, winter and spring. This is a beautiful park with great views, groomed trails, access to the San Gabriel river, and a kids play area with splash pad. There is huge open meadow a bird watching blind, horse area. A wonderful place to hike and just enjoy being outdoors

The venue is so beautiful in general even in the winter it has so great spots on the property for pictures and events. The management is very accommodating and has a quick response time to any questions and have some great suggestions if you get stuck with arrangements of any kind. My daughter's quinceanera just had it final walk through and the flowers and greenery at this venue are spectacular this time of year, so I am very excited. Melissa also came up with a "just in case it rains" diagram with out crowding or inconvenience to our large guest list. The overall experience has been amazing and the venue itself inside and out is gorgeous you really don't need much decorations. I looked at at least 25 different venues in and around the central Texas area from Waco to Austin for my daughter's birthday and this was a great price for the location, everything this 625 acres including a beautiful Pond, a gazebo and beautiful lighting in the courtyard for dancing. Look at the website it shows so much more and you will really fall in love.

Monument Cafe is a retro-inspired diner that serves updated breakfast and lunch staples, along with a variety of pies and cakes from its bakery. This well-known eatery in Georgetown has a vintage roadside diner appearance and was even featured on Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives. The menu offers a wide selection of dishes, making it difficult to visit just once.
I'm surprised I have never been here before! It's got a 50s theme. I shared a Cinnamon Roll, ended up taking one home with me. Highly recommend this restaurant. Our server named Sky was just adorable and a great waitress. We'll be going back soon with my ladies group.

What a great diner experience! You get your moneys worth, the food portions are huge. Even the lemonade is meant to be shared. Highly recommend the chicken fried steak with onion rings and corn beef hash. The chicken fried steak and onion rings are coated with light batter. They are really tasty but a bit salty for me. Nevertheless, they are still tasty. You will need to wait for a table for large parties, but for 2 people, we were able to seat at the counter with very little wait time. The biscuits are delicious and must try their coconut cream pie! Highly recommend this cafe with great service and food!

Great food, fast service, and easy parking!” Monument Café is one of my favorite spots in Georgetown. The food is always fresh, flavorful, and served quickly. The staff is friendly and welcoming, which makes the whole experience even better. I also love that the parking is easy and convenient — a big plus when you’re in a hurry or visiting with family. Definitely a place I’ll keep coming back to!

5 Stars – A Must Stop in Georgetown! Monumental Cafe absolutely lives up to the hype and then some. We stopped in after hearing great things, and every bite proved the praise was well earned. We started with Anna’s Granola: Greek yogurt, fresh berries, crunchy granola, and a drizzle of honey. It was light, flavorful, and right up my alley. The biscuits with sausage gravy were rich and comforting, and the eggs benedict were perfectly cooked and seasoned just right. One of the highlights was the mimosa flight. Every juice was squeezed fresh in-house and you could taste the difference. The strawberry and watermelon were muddled to perfection, and the pulpy grapefruit and orange mimosas were bold and refreshing. We also had the pearl sugar waffles (phenomenal), the egg taco, and a side of sausage and over-medium egg, all delicious. The staff was friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere was warm and inviting. We will definitely be back the next time we’re passing through Georgetown!

We make it a point to stop at Monument Cafe whenever we are in Georgetown. This is one of the best cafes in central Texas. The menu is fairly small but that allows Monument to focus on getting everything on it right. Breakfast is the star meal here. Everything from standard eggs and bacon to stuffed breakfast burritos (I love those) , breakfast tacos and migas. Coffee is smooth and kept full. Lunch is mainly sandwiches and burgers. They look delicious but I can't ever seem to not order breakfast here. We usually take a cinnamon roll with us for dessert later. They are so cinnamony ( I know that's not a real word). Make sure you check the board next to the hostess on the way in for specials of the day. Plenty of parking in the lot next door but street construction makes it a little challenging to reach the restaurant. Definitely worth the trip for breakfast or lunch. Monument Cafe closes at 3PM.

Great spot for weekday brunch! My grilled chicken and fries were amazing and our server Leia was very kind and attentive. The chicken comes with an herb butter that enhances the dish without overpowering it and the fries are Whataburger size and shape but with a much nicer crisp. We were sat immediately as it was a Monday around 11 AM and our food came out hot under 15 minutes after we ordered it. Come early for the coveted cinnamon rolls, as they are gone by 11 AM!

Caverns & Caves
Inner Space Cavern in Texas offers guided tours through a well-preserved cave with thousands of stalactites and stalagmites. For the adventurous, there's the Challenge Course featuring wall climbing, ropes, and rappelling. This extensive cave system, around 25 million years old and uncovered in 1966, showcases interesting rock formations, narrow passages, and cathedral-type rooms. The hour-long tour includes ample parking and restroom facilities at the entrance.
Title: A Truly Unique and Thrilling Experience! I recently visited Inner Space Cavern and had an absolutely amazing time! From start to finish, the tour was well organized and the guides were incredibly knowledgeable, sharing fascinating details about the history, geology, and formation of the cave. One of the most memorable moments was when the guide turned off all the lights deep inside the cave. It’s hard to describe the feeling of being in complete darkness—absolutely pitch black, with zero light and only the sounds of the cave around you. It was both peaceful and awe-inspiring, giving a sense of how early explorers must have felt venturing into these hidden spaces for the first time. The cave itself is stunning—beautiful stalactites, stalagmites, and unique formations everywhere you look. The temperature inside is comfortably cool, so it’s a great escape from the Texas heat. Highly recommend this experience for families, adventure seekers, or anyone curious about nature’s underground wonders. If you haven’t been, put this on your list!

My family and I visited the Inner Space Cavern today and had such a great time! Everyone we interacted with was very friendly and helpful. A special thank you to our guide Tristan, who made the experience so memorable. The whole tour was filled with smiles, stories, jokes, and interesting facts. He guided us so well that we didn’t want to miss a single word. The cave itself is stunning, and an hour felt like just the right amount of time to enjoy its beauty. We left very happy with our visit and would definitely recommend it.

Beautiful, we had such a good time. We took two tours today and the second one was so good. It was just our group 9people. Our tour guide Dennis created such a wholesome and lovely experience for us all we where laughing and enjoying every aspect of the tour. He kept us on pase but never pressured us or made anything feel rushed. We had plenty of opportunities to take any photo we really wanted and it was so peaceful and knowledgeable.

Nice and clean. The staff were knowledgeable of the caverns. A great tour of the caverns (about 1 hour long for the basic package). The staff didn’t miss a beat at each stop along the route. They made it interesting enough for all ages. It can get muggy in the cavern and the uphill back up can be daunting but not impossible. FYI. Going uphill out of cave can be difficult. They got different tours for the more adventurous.

Honestly this is one of the more memorable things we did on our trip to Austin (technically Georgetown). Definitely worth the ticket and the trip if you’re nearby. There are 3 packages that you can choose from. Since we were new, we chose the basic package (if you want a little more physical activity and adventure you can choose the others but I think most other people in this review section did the basic package. Don’t worry—the basic package is entertaining and worth your money.) Our guide was very knowledgeable and talked about the cave’s history, geology, and everything in between. It is damp and wet inside the cave so they do recommend closed toe tennis shoes so you don’t accidentally slip but there are strategically placed carpets and handrails in various inclines and declines. There is a photo opportunity at the very beginning of the tour that’s available for purchase and pick up later on at the gift shop for I believe $16. You do walk about 1 mile round trip and the biggest hurdle is coming back from the tour and tackling that huge incline that was previously your decline. The tour is very organized and the sights are beautiful. There is a gift shop, small concession stand like food booth, and a mini zip line outside that’s $10 regular price. It’s scarier going backwards in the ride and it’s not your typical zip line where you go individually, it’s more like an amusement theme park ride where you go 30 mph backwards and forwards on this 2 seater.

Very informative tour with a great touch of story telling along the way thru the cave. Our tour guide did a great job at taking care of his group and explaining things. Would highly recommend this tour for all especially families. There are many beautiful sites to see and if you like caves you will love this one.

We recently took the Basic Adventure Tour at Inner Space Cavern in Georgetown, and it was a memorable experience for the whole family. The tour lasted about 90 minutes and went deep into the cavern with a knowledgeable and friendly guide. The tour is kid- and toddler-friendly, although keep in mind that strollers and wheelchairs aren’t allowed, and you may need to carry little ones through some parts. There are a few places where you have to duck down, but there aren’t many tight squeezes — just a couple of moments where you wait in small areas while the group regathers, which might be uncomfortable for anyone with claustrophobia. Physically, it’s not overly intense, but if you're out of shape, it might surprise you with the walking involved. One huge plus — kids 3 and under are free! And the staff were super kind and patient, which made a big difference. Overall, it’s a great family activity if you’re looking for something educational and adventurous. Just be prepared to walk and carry the little ones!
Nadeem N — Google review
We are from Houston and came to Georgetown for a long weekend just to visit these caverns. Great experience. We did the normal tour which was about an hour long. Easy pace walk but it is very slippery so make sure to wear appropriate shoes. Can be a little claustrophobic but most of the “rooms” you visit are very large. It’s dim inside but there’s lights all over the place so you’re never in complete darkness. The tour does end in a room were you can sit and take pictures and the guide will ask if you want to experience full darkness. I would suggest yes even if you are scared. Amazing to see how dark it can get. Overall a very worthy experience and our guide Olivia did a great job.

Nestled in the heart of Georgetown, the Creative Playscape is a remarkable transformation of an old playground into a vibrant space that intertwines history with play. This unique park invites families to embark on an interactive journey through time, featuring a captivating history wall that narrates the rich story of the area. Kids can truly unleash their adventurous spirits here, as this playground goes beyond traditional slides and swings.
The park is fantastic! Lots of activities for a wide range of ages and abilities. Definitely need to check out the area behind the recreational center! There is a skatepark and a splash pad. Nice restrooms. Wide open with lots of space to play!

A FUN & SAFE SPOT FOR KIDS OF ALL AGES. **Parents of children with disabilities**(Would not recommend for disabled children. There were not a lot of options and it was not accessible friendly.) If you’re looking for a playground that truly has something for every age, Creative Playscape is a gem! I took my kids (11, 10, 6, 4) here on a very hot summer day (between 1–2 PM), and I was so impressed by how thoughtful the design is for all my kids. The playground has shaded areas throughout—including a covered section for parents, which was a lifesaver in the heat. The equipment is fantastic: slides, bridges, monkey bars, musical play stations, swings (including toddler swings), and a toddler-sized playground for the littlest explorers. It’s a wonderful place for kids to play, create, and burn off energy safely. One feature I especially loved is that the entire playground is fenced in with only one entrance. That gave me peace of mind while letting my child explore freely. A couple of things to note: • There are no bathrooms on-site, which can be a challenge with little ones. Bathrooms are available across the parking lot at the San Gabriel Park Skate Park. • Parking is shared with the nearby Recreation Center, so while we were the only ones at the playground, the lot still felt a bit limited. Overall, this park is a wonderful spot for young families, and I’ll definitely be bringing my little one back for more outdoor play.
Angela C — Google review
My son absolutely adores this park! While it can get a little busy and seating is somewhat limited, it’s always buzzing with energy and friendly faces. He enjoys meeting other children and quickly makes new friends, which makes every visit exciting and engaging. There’s plenty for him to explore, from slides to swings and open play areas, so time flies by as he plays. Despite the occasional crowd, we can easily spend hours here without running out of things to do. The lively atmosphere, combined with the chance to socialize and play freely, makes this park a favorite spot for our family.
Badura A — Google review
This park is definitely cute and has a big playground for many kids to enjoy. We came on a summer morning in July and it was really hot! There isn't a lot of covered areas and most of the playground is directly in the Sun. The water fountains were also not working so be sure to bring your own water! The monkey bars are a little on the shorter end- my 6 year old could still touch the ground while using them, and she was disappointed in that. There were 3 different sets of field trips there that morning so it was pretty crowded. Overall my kids had fun. The best part is all the different types of climbing rocks and ladders the playground offers!
Taylor P — Google review
I love bringing my great grandson here to play with children from the community. The playscape is always clean, but one of the slides is blocked off. When it's super busy with children, it would be nice to have all the slides operational. The slide that is out of order is one that younger children can use!
Katherine G — Google review
Really great park with plenty of play space for kids of all sizes. There is also a large, shaded pavilion in the center for parents to sit and watch their kids. The whole area is fenced so you don't have to worry too much about a child wandering off. Overall a very well thought out and cared for park.
Mike A — Google review
Big park with lots of space to run around up high and on the padded ground in the fenced in area. Little and big kids areas, various slides and climbing for all ages. Swings for babies, big kids, and harness swings for big kids/adults who need assistance. There is also wheelchair access to the large upper level of the playground. Not much shade in the midday on the actual playground (hot slides and swings), but there are good areas to get out of the sun.

Russell Park in Georgetown is a popular spot for a summer day trip. The park offers a beach for swimming, fishing, hiking, mountain biking, and camping. It can get crowded on weekends and holidays but provides clean and beautiful water for visitors to enjoy. There are restrooms available and camp sites with covered spaces on the hill. While there is normally a fee to enter the park, it may be closed at times.
We loved camping here! Day use and camping sites both have these great covered picnic tables. Most water-side sites have a peek-a-boo water view and parallel parking. Lots of shade! Camping restroom has two toilets stalls and two shower stalls, bring your own soap. Shared water spigot at the restroom building. Park host was present and helpful when my after-hours vehicle tag showed incorrect check out date. Shelters available too, just bring your own mattress! Check out time is 2pm, woohoo. I will say, sites are close together, we could hear every word of both neighbors' conversations. Lots of random well- camouflaged rocks around so careful for ankle rolls and triple peek your tent spot! Also, cactus.

We reserved tent sites #1 &2. Im glad because they were kind of close together. The area was well shaded with trees over mostly everything. The parking spaces aren't in the dirt on each site but on cement parallel to other site(s) by the road. Not too far though. The bathrooms arent too far and were nice with showers and good lighting but there was no hand soap at the sinks. I really liked it overall, the only bummer was it was difficult to all hang out together at the beach site because we had dogs so we kept having to split up :/ Staff was nice

Is a tiny splash pad but perfect for toddlers, with a playground next to it so you can perfectly watch 2 or more kids. Not really for older kids but perfect for mine 2 and 4 years old. Get lots of sunscreen because is not shade at all on the splash pad but for parents theyre few benches next to it with decent shade.
Gianna M — Google review
The concept is nice, but there is no shade over the playground equipment and in the limited time I was there with my toddlers, I saw several little ones get burns. A simple cloth triangle shade would be a quick and inexpensive solution that could make this park go from a two star to a four star. The splash park was a fun experience for the kids.

Splash pad and playground are great, especially for littles. Picnic tables, benches and even has bathrooms
Alli M — Google review
Great little park with an excellent little splash pad.
S. ( — Google review
Nice little residential park. Not much shade, short of a couple of trees in late afternoon. Giant open field area. Decent sized splash pad. Engaging playground. Clean bathroom. Lots of kids of varying ages and backgrounds played nice together for a couple hours. Negative being it’s location… unsavory drive bus the whole time and some shady business in the parking lot… goes with the geographic location, but a bit unnerving if you’re not a neighborhood local.

Chandler Park is a serene riverside park in Georgetown, offering a tranquil setting for fishing, walking, and picnicking. The park features plenty of trees and wildlife along the San Gabriel River, making it an ideal spot for a peaceful afternoon picnic or a refreshing break from daily routines. Visitors can enjoy walking trails and access to nearby attractions such as San Gabriel Park and Lake Georgetown through the trail system.
Came here for the first time as we were looking for a new hiking spot! It’s a nice small park next to the river and is a quite refreshing spot! We walked on a walking path and it was very nice as most of the part is covered by trees 🌳 We enjoyed our walk fire sure!
Mr. D — Google review
Where I was specifically looking has limited parking, very limited. A couple of decent fishing spots. Fished for about 2, 2-1/2 hours and never got a bite. There is a lot off over growth at the bank, so retrieving your line is tricky
Les G — Google review
Great way to unwind after a long day. Peaceful spot.
Jeff B — Google review
Take the park trail towards the bridge. You can take this all the way to Randy Morrow trail and beyond. It’s mostly shaded and Spring is THEE time to smell the honeysuckle, see the waters flowing and the cardinals singing.
Cherie D — Google review
Good little fishing hole. Right on the trail so you can hike to San Gabriel Park or out to bootys Park. Take water, not a lot of shade on a hot day and water is sparse.
Andrew K — Google review
Beautiful little park in the heart of Georgetown. Great place to kayak.

This is one of my favorite parks in Georgetown. It is right on the San Gabriel River with lots of trees and wildlife. This is a great place for an afternoon picnic or just to get away from the office for an hour. Plenty of walking trails for the ambitious athlete. Highly recommend this park.

This place is amazing! So peaceful, the grounds are very well kept, throughout the park there are mature trees, lots of shade, friendly people, social events, first class all the way. They have thought of everything, even a dog grooming station with an outdoor tub to bathe your dogs!!!!
Luciana D — Google review
The park itself is beautiful with mature trees which is both good and bad…the squirrels are relentless, during the pecan harvest season. Not to mention dead fall limbs inevitably hitting your roof. The pad sites are gravel and mostly level. The location is beautiful, right on the San Gabriel River. The camp staff work hard to keep it presentable. The amenities are good and clean with the exception of no ventilation in the bathrooms which is brutal in the summer. Also the septic tank near the showers/mailboxes simmer and smell during the summer. I stayed there a little over a year and was pleased until my wife joined me with our large service dog. They are not tolerant AT ALL with any larger dog regardless of how sweet it is, especially if it’s a “mean looking breed” for example a German Shepard. The community is very click-ish and not receptive of the younger crowd visiting (College age or younger. Most everyone keeps to themselves. The management is hard to get ahold of but will eventually communicate back with you. Just my honest assessment both good and bad.
David M — Google review
Pretty property, but stickers and fire ants are allowed to thrive. Due to low water levels, the river is completely covered in scum all summer, every year. Management consistently ignores emails concerning harassment from residents and problems with dogs off leash. Management also favors long term residents who share gossip. Does not fairly enforce the rules.
Gaila R — Google review
Very beautiful place to stay, people are so nice. This like a retirement community, they don’t allow you to live there if you have kids living with you.
Tiffany E — Google review
The place looks very pretty but they have a few people living there who act like they own the place and there's nothing to do about it, except for.that everything it's really niece and pretty but somebody has to do something about some negatives people living there who doesn't respect the rules, and act like flattered with managers so they won't ask to move out of the property
Lilia P — Google review
This park is great. We love management and the service they provide. They’re working hard for us even during difficult weather making sure we are all taken care of. The neighbors are friendly and very helpful which we appreciate as we learn the Rv lifestyle. We love living here and we are thankful to have found a spot when we got our RV this year. I love it here and my wife loves how easy it is to contact management for help or for inquiries.
Edwin S — Google review
I recently came to visit the park to see if it would be a good fit for me. I had high hopes from seeing their website with nice photos. And while the grounds seemed to be well kept for the most part, the staff was what turned me off completely. The manager came out and asked me what I wanted! She was beyond rude and told me there was a long waiting list, almost 2 years she said. However, there were multiple empty spots throughout the park. I just felt like she was lying to me. I noticed there were other management complaints but I was hoping those stemmed from some minor incident. Now I see they are completely valid complaints. I certainly hope the owners of the park see these complaints and deal with her. The park seems like it would be a great place to live and I'm sure it would absolutely flourish with fresh new friendly management. No one wants to live in a beautiful place with people who have ugly personalities.
Rusty P — Google review
Very nice and quiet RV park. We just moved in this week. It’s an adult only community and management has advised us that all residents have gone through a background check. The lots are good sized, the roads are paved, and there are a lot of amenities. The North San Gabriel River passes through the property and they allow fishing. The current monthly rent is $515.00 which is well worth it for a place like this.

Campground
Jim Hogg Park is a lakeside park that offers various outdoor activities such as boating, camping, hiking, biking, hunting, and fishing. The park features spacious campsites with amenities like covered tables, fire rings, and grills. Some sites are shaded by trees while others offer unobstructed views of the lake. The restrooms are well-maintained with good water pressure. Additionally, the park provides RV hookups with water and a recently updated dump station.
This is a beautiful park! 10 out of 10 I would stay here again! Very quiet during the week. Lots of deer! Was not there for the weekend, but sites were filling up fast on Friday, I can see why now. Water and electric, no sewer but the dump station was close. Army Core of Engineer campground.
Brandon S — Google review
A nice, large campground on the lake. We stayed in the upper loop without lake views. The sites are spacious with good layout and shade. The sites could use a little upkeep as part of ours was overgrown with grass. Nice boat ramp with decent parking. For the size of the campground another septic dump site or two would reduce waits on busy weekend days.
AJ C — Google review
I like this park mainly because it is close to the place where I live, so it only takes about 49 mins to get to from Round Rock/ Cedar Park area. It has access to water which is great for kayaking and paddle boarding. Most sites are pretty big and have water and electricity. Kids love camping here and we always enjoy the night sky. I'm deducting a star for not the cleanest restrooms. Highly recommend this site for camping near the town.
Dmitry K — Google review
We had a really great experience here! Our site was really nice & spacious. Our kids had lots of fun swimming, the water does get deep quick so be sure to have life jackets if needed. The only thing we had complaints about was the bathroom. There was a huge lack of privacy for getting dressed/drying off after the shower. We also noticed there was no soap to wash your hands in either restroom we went in. Overall we had a great time.
Sam — Google review
Beautiful park. Bathrooms are well kept. The campsite is more active then I had expected. It is great for families.
William F — Google review
You can launch you boat or personal watercraft. There’s a campground and a fishing dock. It’s great for hiking and mountain biking.
Piero R — Google review
The park is very clean and the roads to the park are woody beautiful surroundings. The RV sites are roomy with covered awning which comes in handy due to no trees for shade. The thumbs 👎 are the trash dumpster they are all at the entrance, one accumulates daily trash, and no dumpster near the RV sites. The bathrooms are a good walking distance (depending on your site)if you are one to rely on them. Recommend They should spread out the dumpsters. if you come here bring a big trash bin and have a plan to drive to the entrance to throw away the trash. Our neighbor had bags full of trash thrown on the lawn.
Gigi M — Google review
Needed a place to stop for the night. Have heard a lot about this place so we tried it out. Everyone was friendly and it was a nice quiet stay. This place just wasn't for us. Sites were level but close together and not very big. We like to be on the water and somewhat secluded. At least you can view the water from these sites. We saw many deer and some birds. We didn't hike because it was very muddy when we were there. Park was clean and cared for.

Overlook Park is a serene destination for nature enthusiasts and hikers. The park features gravel trails, a paved trail leading to Lake Georgetown's Dam, and public restrooms. Visitors can enjoy hiking, fishing, and rock hunting along the great trails by the water. However, it's important to stay cautious as unexpected encounters with wildlife like Diamondback Rattlers may occur off the trail.
I enjoyed this park. Great view of the lake. Awesome place to go swimming, fishing , hiking or boating. The lake is large. Various areas to park and pull up to the water. Plenty of parking space available. Bathrooms available for use. Shaded area to get cooled down from the sun.
Tecoria S — Google review
Nice trail and easy parking when you walk along the dam. Cool spot to walk around Georgetown if you want to have a little bit of an elevated view of the lake.

Great place for rock hounds, nature lovers, a little fishing and a good hike. There are great trails by the water of Lake Georgetown and public restrooms for those moments when nature calls! Don't hike without paying attention though. We went off the trail and did meet an unexpected guest - a Diamondback Rattler! As in any nature environment, we cautious and aware, but enjoy yourself and the peace nature can bring you!

With today's weather being cooler and cloudy, I decided to go somewhere for hiking. A nearby spot Overlook Park was selected since it offered a decent hiking distance plus a water view. The park is relatively clean well maintained; there's sign of some construction going on but not messy. At the restroom I headed down toward the lake; the view was nice and the cooler breeze on the face was pleasant beyond words. I continued exploring the opposite of the Dam but decided turn around as the trails was getting narrowed but the tall grass. I headed back to the Dam to snap some pictures. Total distance covered was a little over 3 miles but it was a lot of fun. 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

Best place to swim at Lake Georgetown. Very clear water. Jumping rocks. Not overcrowded on weekdays though still very limited parking lots. The best time to swim is after 6 pm till sunset when the sun is not too hot and the water gets hotter and smoother. Enjoy yourself!
Said T — Google review
A nice, local place for a quick 30 hike, a nice sunset view of the lake, a spot for a Summer swim in the cove. Watch out...the park closes at dusk and the road is locked up till 6 am each day.

20Bark Park

Dog park
Bark Park is an excellent dog park with a well-constructed fence, plenty of shady trees, benches for resting, and even a mini obstacle course. It also features three water stations equipped with buckets for drinking and tubs for dogs to cool off in. However, the downside is that the tubs are placed on bark mulch that tends to become muddy due to poor drainage. This park spans across 3 acres and is divided into sections for big and small dogs.
Great dog park with a ton of space and lots of shade. Beware of the pecans in the fall! My dog loves the space to romp and make new friends.
Greg E — Google review
We always have such a good time. Very friendly dog owners, obedient dogs, tons of space, well kept, beautiful area and quiet location. Also we love that it's leash free.
Kayle L — Google review
One of the best dog parks I’ve been to, that being said I wish there was a larger area for small dogs. The large dog area is huge and has a track to walk around, you won’t get any of that in the small dog area. There are people that don’t responsibly watch their dogs and have a delayed if not absent response if their dog is being aggressive or biting another. If you have an aggressive dog you should not have them in a public off leash area, period. However that is a person problem that will happen at every dog park. Really wish it had a public toilet and safe drinking water for humans. But it is a beautiful park, most people and dogs are friendly and well behaved. Love the mature trees and track to walk around.
A P — Google review
Very nice fenced dog park. Lots of shade trees and benches, a small agility course, and three water stations with buckets for drinking and tubs for submerging. Only downside is that the tubs are on bark mulch that doesn't drain and gets muddy.
Tatiana M — Google review
Bark Park is amazing! 2 parks, one for small dogs, one for medium/large digs, both with agility courses and large trees for shade! Plenty of water outlets so dogs can drink and even bathe. With very rare exceptions the dogs are well-behaved and friendly with other dogs and people. Lots of people/dog-tandems are daily visitors and you get a chance to get to know their dogs by name!
Stefanie H — Google review
Sometimes, there's a dog that acts like their ego pumped owner, but for the most part, everyone is respectful. The dogs behave decently well. There is lots of mud water for them to play in if they want. There is even a dog obstacle course and a big running trail around the whole thing. Sometimes people train their dogs off on the emptier end of the park... There's more than enough space for everyone... A nice park for the dogs.
Kam K — Google review
Great place,, lots of room for dogs to run, play and socialize. Pet parents get to socialize also. Watering hoses and pet evacuation bags with trash barrels are available. Rules are posted and everyone I've met have been responsible for their pet. Really enjoy the park. Take my pup almost every day. Have met other owners who have been to Bark Park and they have had a positive experience also. Kathleen of Georgetown.
Kathleen B — Google review
It's not the fanciest dog park I've been to, but it's still great! They have the small dogs and big dogs separated into different areas. Both have obstacle courses, trees, picnic tables, and places for people to sit. The large dog park also has a walking path going around - which I hear is about .25 miles for one loop. The only bummer about this park is the mud and the water situation. They have numerous water stations throughout the big dog side, but it's really just a hose with some buckets on top of some wood chips. It's fine and gets the job done, but the areas still gets really muddy even on dry days. Also after it rains, a lot of the large dog park turns into large mud puddles. We don't mind, but many others do and tend to avoid the park after rainstorms.

Nice little gem. I got there while looking for blue hole but wasn't disappointed Small playground with a nice walking path There is a little hiking place showing to get closer to the water
Rolande A — Google review
Nowhere {aside from stone blocks} for parents to sit while kids play. What you'd THINK would be, pavilions with picnic tables underneath, are ACTUALLY just awnings on concrete pads... When I say there's nowhere to sit I mean NOWHERE. Trash cans are so far from playground that lazy people leave trash around. Only reason I didn't 1★ is because there were cool trails BEHIND EVERYTHING.
Sheridan ( — Google review
You can find Elm Street without Freddy Kreuger annoying you, lots of old abandoned trails that google doesn't list either. You'll also unfortunately find old homeless camping setups, and lots of forgotten underwear everywhere, lots of trash, beer bottles and broken glass. They do upkeep it slightly as the last time I was here a big old 2 feet diameter tree fell over an old path and now it's gone.
Geoffrey C — Google review

Throughout the year, the garden is vibrant with color. It's always worth a look when you're in San Gabriel Park, because it's different every time you visit. Currently there is an absolute mammoth of a basil plant with happy bumblebees on the flowers. Nice little place, would recommend.

Kelli D — Google review
The sunken Garden, part of the San Gabriel Park, and located right next to the Georgetown community center, is a beautiful space in Georgetown. It’s not very big and the few benches within the small park are a little rusted and look worn. There was also some gardening equipment just laying around, which could be dangerous for kids or inattentive adults. It is quite overgrown however it’s still a very pretty place. You can catch sight of several monarch butterflies in the spring/summer. Plenty of parking nearby.

This is a great pocket park in one of the most desirable neighborhoods in Georgetown. We have lived in this neighborhood for a couple of years now and really enjoy it. It's very quiet and the playscape is just right for kids up to about third grade I suppose. The basketball courts are busy with middle schoolers quite often. There is a covered pavilion with two picnic tables and shade. There are a few beautiful ancient oaks in this park. It would be excellent if this place had a water feature. We sell a lot of real estate in this area and many of our own clients enjoy buying homes before they are introduced to places like Zillow and Trulia. Welcome home, welcome to Georgetown.
