Ecological park
Boundary Bay Regional Park in Delta is a must-visit destination offering over 16km of scenic trails for walking, biking, and horseback riding. The park provides sweeping views of Boundary Bay and features the popular Dyke Trail, which offers a physical challenge and extends all the way to Surrey.
Boundary Bay park and beach are absolutely stunning and one of my new favorite spots in B.C.. The soft, sandy shore is perfect for relaxing, and the breathtaking views of serene mountains combined with glimpses of the city skyline create a unique and beautiful atmosphere. It has walking, biking, hiking trails, horse riding and many more. Something for everyone. One of the best parts is that they allow bonfires, which makes for a perfect evening with friends or family, watching the sunset and enjoying the crackling fire by the waves. The whole vibe is so peaceful, and it’s a wonderful escape from the everyday. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a picturesque, relaxing beach experience in any season..

Beautiful park with long sandy beach and picnic/bbq/play ground area perfect for family. We enjoyed walk on the gravel trail that had different sections; seaside, boardwalk (temporarily closed right now), and through grass/marsh. Flowers were in full bloom and you could hear lots of birdies chirping. It was peaceful and pleasant. Whole loop was flat and about 5k long. Some path were shared with cyclists.
Kanako S — Google review
Boundary Bay / Centennial Beach never disappoints! Tide in or out, weather and skirts of any season, it’s always an awe inspiring place to walk and take in! Sandy beaches, paths to walk, mountains and cityscapes to view in the distance. Washroom and cafeteria service in season.
Shonna M — Google review
Any season this park is beautiful. The trails are easy and lots of access to the beach. Parking was plentiful but by noon in hot summer days it fills up so go early! When the tide is out you can walk forever on beautiful soft sand.
Denise E — Google review
This ocean side park is stunning!! It's large and goes for as far as the eye can see. There are nice fenced paths leading to look out over Centennial Beach, I seen many types of birds including bald Eagles, blue herons, there is large covred picnic areas, a large pond on the right side of the park. There are alot of huge logs everywhere u can stand on to get a great view of the mountains and the beach and the ocean. This place is a must see if your in Tsawwassen.💯💯💯
Russell T — Google review
Beautiful park that stretches for miles. Hubby and I rode our E bikes out there. What a great ride. Nature in its absolute glory.
Kel S — Google review
A large park that stretches around boundary bay to the Canada USA border. There is several trails and a long beach. Best time is in spring to Autumn. There is new washrooms and cafe for a light lunch. It is possible to walk along beach to border and stand in two countries. Do not cross border here or you will get in trouble with border police.
E C — Google review
Amazing walks by the ocean with tons of eagles and storks around along with views of mountains and housing from afar. Great even on foggy days. Easy trail for biking and walking- both separated very clearly with signs. Stunning in the winter months even.

Watershed Park in Delta is the largest park, offering approximately 11 kilometers of trails for hiking and mountain biking. The area is well-marked with signage and provides beautiful scenery, making it a great spot for a family picnic in the Meadow with views of Mud Bay. It's not recommended to visit after dark, but during the day, it's perfect for walking, hiking, and biking.
Some parks are superior to others. Watershed is that park. Superior in every way. It's great for a hike and exhilarating for mountain bike riding. If you mountain bike, then this park is for you.
Mario — Google review
I must say it's an absolute gem that should be on every outdoor enthusiast's bucket list. This beautiful park offers a unique blend of natural beauty and tranquility that makes it an ideal destination for nature lovers, families, and anyone seeking a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle of city life.
Wu C — Google review
I lived in Sunshine Hills for many years, and was fortunate to have access to this beautiful park. I could go during weekdays when it was serene and calming or on weekends with my dogs and have a great outing! The trees and foliage are spectacular. Recommended!
Larry L — Google review
A calm, serene well maintained , short beautiful trail with in the residential area yet very different. Easily accessible, good cycling track. A good place to spend your lazy weekend walks.
Yogi — Google review
This was our first time there. Nice trails with lots of different access points. There were quite a few bikers here today, too. I'm glad I took a picture as some of the trail signs didn't have the tail routes on them.
Nicole P — Google review
Gorgeous park that I’ve visited many times over the years. Definitely worth driving out for a day hike here. The trails are all well marked and there’s lots of different ecosystems to wander through. Bring water jugs and fill up with natural spring water... it’s incredibly good. Don’t wait to go too late in the summer season if the fires get going. The park has been shut down many times to preserve it when it’s tinder dry. Lots of street parking off 64th Avenue just off Highway 91. Trails are good for hiking and there’s some great biking there as well.
Judy M — Google review
I love this park, and there are a lot of tall trees, not too many shrubs. Some paths are not very smooth and may not be suitable for children. But it's perfect for adults and downhill biker
Bella W — Google review
Love this park, feels like a huge forest with trees everywhere. Looks like it's a place for mountain bikers, but I still had a nice walk on the trails as well as on the bike trails, just keep an eye out for bikes coming through and move for them if you're in their path. There are also some really cute areas with ponds too.

Delta Nature Reserve at Burns Bog is a must-visit destination throughout the year. Families can enjoy leisurely strolls along the boardwalks, immersing themselves in the unique ecosystem of the bog. Public tours are available on every third Saturday, offering insights into this natural wonder. Private group tours can also be arranged through the society.
I think this bog we have in Delta is absolutely amazing! Didn't really know even what a "Bog" was Until our company started working around the 91 connected. The boardwalk is well build there are some trails leading off. Be careful some areas you will sink like I did today. Nice view all the way around the whole Bog! Apparently this is one of if not the largest Bog in the world. It use to be a lake. If you have never seen a Bog you gotta come to check it out, it's a very Unique environment & I hope it continues to stay Preserved. Coming to burns bog for a hike is 100% Recommended.🏞🏞💯
Russell T — Google review
Burns Bog a jewel of nature in my backyard. I've lived next to and walked-in Burns Bog for over 30 years now. It truly is serenity in the city. I have to take a star off my rating, not because of the park, but because of visitors to the nature reserve. When I was a kid, we could spend the entire day in the Bog without seeing another soul, now it is so busy that you will come across at least a dozen people on a short walk; and the sad thing is so many people act like common courtesy, common sense, and the by-laws & regulations don't apply to them; they toss their empty coffee cups wherever they finish drinking them, they tie their poo bags to the branches and plants - or they just leave them on the ground, and they ignore the signs about leashing up their dogs to prevent them from running in the habitation that's under restoration. Seriously, people come and enjoy nature at its purest, but respect Gaia as though it is your own backyard.
Justin N — Google review
To find the trail itself was a bit difficult cause you have to go under the bridge and we parked at Planet Ice. The trail was very pretty with lots of foliage and trees. Wish we couldn’t hear the cars from the overpass but that’s not within our control. The trail ended abruptly d/t some flooding on the bridge so we had to stop and turn around. It was a nice little reserve and I’d go back when there’s no flooding to fully explore the bog.
Lilly N — Google review
Beautiful place! Great view and excercise! Saw a Bald Eagle, Humming Birds and some tiny fish that I believe are baby salmon. Definitely bring water, a hat, binoculars, bug spray and wear good walking shoes! Saw plants that apparently bears eat after hibernating as a laxative!
MiCap19 N — Google review
Always heard about it but finally discovered it today. I always thought it was more towards the west but it isn't. Its actually tricky to find. I rode in on a bike along a trail that was from River Rd by the tidewaters pub. When you get here you'll see a map and there are couple trails that you can enjoy. Its all built on a boardwalk thats well maintained. Just remember to stop and appreciate that the bog is a ecosystem we should be keeping to help prevent those possible floods in the future. It looks like one giant sponge of an area. We need to all do our part to make sure development says off these areas.
T D — Google review
The sunken tractor has its own enclosed boardwalk trail, isolated from the main outer and inner trails. There will be a sign next to each boardwalk entrance that tells you which trail you're about to enter. Trails and boardwalks were nice. Just wish they added washroom stalls or porta potties (Planet Ice is probably the closest public washroom near the park).
Axaie X — Google review
A great stroll through nature where you can forget that you are mere minutes away from the city. Bring decent footwear, especially if it has rained recently. Note that the wooden walkways are not bike- or jogging- friendly, and anti-slip metal grating might not be great for sensitive dog paws.
Kirk B — Google review
To get to this Delta Nature Reserve sign which is the start of the trails, you have to park at Planet Ice. No other way to access the trail. Google maps took us to dead ends. 😑🔫 Great place to walk and enjoy nature. Easy walk (no hills) and well maintained boardwalk trails.

The George C. Reifel Migratory Bird Sanctuary, situated in Delta, BC, is a sprawling 300-hectare haven for bird enthusiasts. The sanctuary boasts diverse habitats including ponds, treed pathways, intertidal marshes, and channels. It's a popular stopover for millions of migrating birds along the Pacific Flyway Migration Route.
If you are looking to enjoy wildlife and nature, this is a fantastic spot. With $8 admission for adults and a $2 bag of seeds (all tax included), proceeds go to conservation effort and you will have a fun day feeding various birds here. In order to ensure you have space for parking, please book up to 3 days in advance per vehicle for the morning or afternoon slot. The attendant at the gift shop appreciates visitors who make advance parking reservations at no additional cost. Make sure to dress appropriately as there are sections where the marshlands attract a lot of mosquitoes and can become a nuisance if you stay too long. If you want to support local tourism and conservation, come on over.

We love it here Went today after not going for a few years. Caught myself saying to my daughter who was 2 when we first went… why did we wait so long to come again (now 9) We saw SO many birds. 2 bird nests I have never seen before. Hand fed red winged black birds and chickadees with the provided seed $2 a bag. DO NOT BRING your own seed or food for birds. Gift shop is adorable. Picked up some bird colouring books and paint by numbers on our way out. Make a day of it and hit up Emma Leah farms and westham island herb farm on your way home. We will be back soon for some birding !!!! Thanks
Natasha C — Google review
Very cool place for bird lovers. Might be hot walking in the sun so recommend bringing umbrellas or hats. Requires parking reservation for the 2 hour stay, on their website. Saw beautiful herons and little birds are likely to feed off seeds from hands! Very well kept sanctuary considering how many birds live there.
Charlene H — Google review
Absolutely love this Sanctuary. There are cranes, ducks, grease, and tons of other birds. A lot of birds here are very friendly and will eat out of your hand. Nice trial walks. $8 per person and I am usually there for 2-3 hours!

Fantastic spot to visit if you have access to a car, absolute gem of a bird sanctuary with knowledgeable staff and community. Worthwhile way to spend an afternoon in the late summer and I can only imagine how incredible it would be to visit in the Spring!
CJ W — Google review
Such a peaceful spot! We saw lots of ducks and even a few sandhill cranes wandering around. Feeding the ducks was a fun highlight. The trails are easy and perfect for a relaxing stroll. Great way to unwind and enjoy nature. Can’t wait for fall/winter time when the vegetation not so dense
Siu W — Google review
I think this was good value for the money. It's just a bit out of the way to access. I'm not a bird watcher, but there were certainly plenty to see. They may be a bit too accustomed to humans though lol. The trails are well maintained and there are plenty of places to sit and enjoy the view or watch the birds along the way. There is a tower and several blinds along the way. There are picnic tables and washrooms near the parking. It took us about 2 hours to circumnavigate the area and also wander through the middle a bit. There is plenty of parking, although you do need a reservation. They don't kick you out after your 2 hour block - I think it's just an arrival window - and they are strict on not letting you in before that time starts. We went during summer and we may return again during another season to see different birds.
Matt F — Google review
We had a great experience at the bird park. Plenty of birds to view. Make sure you carry pumpkin seeds to feed birds - it's a great experience. Also make sure to carry binoculars, a bag pack, lots of water/snacks and be prepared for a beautiful walk around the reef.

The park features flat and easy pathways suitable for leisurely walks, making it ideal for families with small children. Visitors can enjoy picnics at various spots along the river and access Deas Slough for activities like kayaking, paddle boarding, and swimming.
Deas island park is a great place for a scenic walk. Dog friendly and many lookouts where you will often see flocks of migratory birds. There are many picnic areas within the park and a dock to launch your canoe, kayak, paddle-board.

Nice easy well maintained trails that provide lots of shade from the sun in the summer. It’s very quiet during the week and not overly busy on the weekends. Great place for a family bbq. There are restrooms with running water, park staff frequently travel through the park professionally addressing those with off leash dogs.

Summer days are great here! Very quite park, with 2km trails for walk. Remember to wear comfortable shoes and with sun protection. Also an ideal place to enjoy an outdoor BBQ!
Megan C — Google review
Beautiful park, lovely trails and scenery in both summer and fall. Lots of parking. Outhouses though so go if you need to before you arrive if you're not a fan of outhouses. Good location to go for a scenic walk with family or for a date ☺️
Alexandra K — Google review
Beautiful park in Delta nearby the River with scenery of the water. There are so many parking space in the area. It is just depending where you would like to start walking your Trail. It is a dog-friendly Park; however, the dog must be on leashed So they can't really wander freely on their own.
Luke L — Google review
Incredible park with lots of nature paths, wildlife, old heritage homes and plenty of parking and space for social distancing. There are public bathrooms near the parking area. Highly recommend visiting during the summertime, but definitely bring water and some good walking shoes. If you want to be surrounded by beautiful wetland, marshy forests and a view of the water, this is the place to be. You can hear all the sounds of the birds around you and encounter some really neat insects, too.
Meghan K — Google review
It's a very nice and peaceful place, perfect for a relaxing day out. We spotted a few eagles perched majestically on the trees, which was quite a sight! A photographer showed up with a model for a photoshoot, adding a bit of excitement to the calm atmosphere. There are plenty of free picnic benches scattered around, making it easy to find a spot to sit and enjoy the scenery. The weather on this sunny but slightly chilly September 15th day was perfect for a quiet picnic, with just the right mix of sun and crisp air. It felt like the ideal setting for a family outing or even just some alone time in nature.
BABAK T — Google review
Nice park with paths a dock and plenty of parking. No concessions stands so you need to prepare and bring what you need food, water, etc. Few picnic tables next to the water so you can enjoy the view. Would love it if there was a place to rent rowboats or canoes. There is a rowing club but for members only

VanDusen Botanical Garden, established in 1975 on a former golf course, is situated across 55 acres in Vancouver's Shaughnessy neighborhood. The garden showcases over 7,500 plants and trees from seven different geographic regions. It features diverse greenery, flowers, art installations, a meditation garden, an Elizabethan maze, and cascading streams that create a serene atmosphere.
What a great place ! I didn't know what to expect after I've done several gardens in different cities but this was definitely an amazing one. It's bid enough for you to wander for a couple of hours, it has a restaurant, a café and you can even bring your own picnic basket or buy one there so you can enjoy a sunny afternoon with family or friends. The garden is very well maintained with different zones representing different countries and continents, I love that it reminded some of the plants I've seen during my travels. Overall I'd highly recommend paying them a visit!
Mikael B — Google review
What a fabulous place to visit. It was my last day in Canada with a late night flight. My friend suggested visiting these beautiful Botanical Gardens. Sadly, not visited by many tourists as it is off their transport routes, when you are restricted to time and transportation. The gardens were easy to find and good parking. Staff were very welcoming and friendly. Toilets were clean and tidy. There is a cafe and restaurant on site. We only visited the cafe which is very good, with seating inside and out. A map is ideal for finding your way around the gardens. Laid out in zones and clearly marked, they are stunning. Fantastic variety of plants, trees and shrubs, plus water features. Sadly, due to flight times, we were only able to spend about 4 hours there, I could have spent much longer. Well worth the visit and allow yourself time, you need it.
Lisa G — Google review
The botanical garden is an absolute gem that feels like a peaceful escape from the city. Every corner is beautifully designed and filled with vibrant colors, from lush green trees to carefully arranged flowerbeds that change with the seasons. The air feels fresh and clean, and the gentle sound of birds and rustling leaves creates a calming atmosphere that makes you want to stay longer. The walking paths are well maintained, and there are plenty of benches where you can sit, relax, and simply enjoy nature. The greenhouse with exotic plants is especially impressive, offering a glimpse of tropical beauty even on a rainy day. What makes this garden truly special is the sense of care and attention to detail. Everything is arranged with love, from the layout of the plants to the small educational signs that tell interesting facts about each species. It is a perfect place for a quiet walk, a family outing, or simply to clear your mind and reconnect with nature.
Светлана З — Google review
First time in twenty years we visited the gardens again. We got the hours wrong and only had 30 minutes inside, but even that little amount of time was worth the entrance fee. This garden is amazing for fall colors and serenity. We will add it to our list of return places to go when in Vancouver. I only wish I would have gotten the hours right as I would have loved to spend half a day here.
James F — Google review
VanDusen Botanical Garden is one of the most beautiful and peaceful places in Vancouver. The gardens are huge, well-designed, and full of amazing plants, flowers, and trees from around the world. Every season has its own charm – colorful blossoms in spring, lush greenery in summer, vibrant fall leaves, and the magical Festival of Lights in winter. The walking paths are clean and easy to follow, perfect for a relaxing stroll or some great photos. Staff are friendly and helpful, and there’s also a nice little café and gift shop. If you’re looking for a quiet escape from the city with stunning scenery, this place is absolutely worth a visit.

If you are in need of a break from your busy life , this is the place. Beautiful gardens , wonderful lakes with beautiful fountains gently rippling the waters surface and if you are lucky like us you will see the Heron catch a fish. Just peace and tranquility. Wonderful manicured lawns , planted beds full of summer colour , fountains, grassy knolls and a restaurant. Four hours of bliss. A good walk round , plenty of labels to help identification, but not too far to ealk. You are never far from the path or the exit. Good coffee lovely herb and cheese scones too. A children's learning area and two restaurants complete the park. However the flowers and shrubs are the winners in my eyes. Endless colours , all beautifully planted to show their best sides. I could go back tomorrow and see something different . We'll done to the staff and the volunteers if I lived nearby I would like to volunteer too. Sorry about my feet in the video .

Calm, quiet, and full of life. This garden is a year-round escape into nature’s beauty. The flora is breathtaking in every season, and when the rain holds off, it’s easily one of the best places to be in Vancouver. Peaceful paths, vibrant colors, and a sense of serenity that lingers long after you leave.

Beautiful flower and very casual walk around. Great variety of trees and plants. With the shaugnessy restarant next door, it makes for a nice place to spend several hours and wander. Parking is free and it fees uncrowded even during busy times. Plenty of benches everywhere. Be advised during summer camp weeks the maze may be filled with lots of small kids who tear though it with high spirits and lots of excitement.

Centennial Beach, located in Tsawwassen, is a popular spot with a large tidal variation and a sheltered bay perfect for swimming. The beach offers amenities such as a playground and a cafe. Additionally, the area surrounding the beach is filled with opportunities for adventure, including birdwatching at Reifel Bird Sanctuary in Ladner and cycling through North Delta's Watershed Park.
Beautiful place to visit with family , lots of spots for BBQ and amazing kid’s playground with expansive water view. Few walking trails around and many different birds. Clean washrooms. Parking and small cafe with food options and different drinks. Sometimes you can meet weird noisy families who don’t respect others. You can reserve covered bbq tables on their websites for your occasion.

A beautiful beach and hiking trail. Although there is no shade or trees along the hiking trail but if you want a nice view of Mount Baker in Washington then you are at the right place. Plenty of parking here The beach hike is nice and if you love to swim then it is worth to cool off here while looking at Mount Baker

We simply love it there! Parking is easy & free, amenities are great (easy to clean yourself & the kids up after a sandy day on the beach 😅)… perfect spot to chill - and really cool is low tide time when you can walk aaaall the way over to White Rock! (no kidding!) It‘s clean, it‘s super safe - fantastic place for everybody! Small kids can play in the water & everybody else can practice their SUP skills! Enjoy!!

Excellent location with stunning views, walkable beach with Mt baker views! All faculties are in great conditions, love of picnic tables and parking spots! My kids love the big playground so much, it connected the old and new play sets together. Highly recommended to visit or spend a day here if you come to tsawwassen!

This is my new favorite beach! What a gorgeous view of the of the sand bar when the tide is out, there is lots of parking huge clean washrooms and a very impressive kids big toy play area. Lots of bird watching there everywhere. Lots of logs spread all over the beach to sit on. On the far right side is the USA/Canada concrete marker that's cool u can just walk right into the states. This beach would be amazing during sunset. They also have a food stand here near the entrance. Great beach 💯💯💯

It's a great place to take the kids out to play in the water and Barbie Q. you can walk them all day long but you have to watch the tide come in and go out and if you catch the tide you have to walk a long, long way to see the sea and the other thing is that the place where you can put the tent up is probably sand so it's best to put a layer of somethingor, Otherwise the bottom of the tent will be covered with dirt. there's only one place on this big beach where people line up to wash their feet and sand and that's very, very, very bad and needs to be improved.
Yvonne Z — Google review
We came here on Monday BC day as we've heard it was great for families. Although very crowded we managed to get a parking spot nearby without having to use their free shuttle. It is indeed a great beach for families. Calm water and safe enough for young children. You can walk a 100 meters from shore and water is still about waste deep. There are Park staff that help keep everyone organized and safe.

Nestled atop a hill, Queen Elizabeth Park is a stunning urban oasis in Vancouver that beckons nature lovers and adventure seekers alike. Spanning 52 hectares, this park is renowned for its meticulously manicured gardens and the enchanting Bloedel Conservatory, where vibrant flora thrives year-round. At an impressive elevation of 125 meters above sea level, visitors are treated to breathtaking panoramic views of the city skyline and majestic mountains beyond.
Come here and experience an amazing park. There are plenty of great reviews and the vast majority are glowing and rightly so. From the Blodel Conservatory to the outdoor gardens to the walking trails this park is an oasis in the middle of urban sprawl. There is an excellent restaurant. There is plenty of parking and easy access to all attractions. Public washrooms are also available. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed the park and easily recommend coming here. We will definitely come back.

Lovely open garden, no admission required! Highly recommend if you are a flora enthusiast or just someone who likes pretty things! Many spectacular roses, poppies, and so much more! Definitely stop by if the weather is nice.

Absolutely stunning park with plenty of walkways offering different views, all of which are breath taking. The grounds and everything within them are incredibly well maintained and the staff clearly take pride in this, whilst being respectful and polite to visitors. There is a restaurant on site with great food you can enjoy alongside an amazing view of the Vancouver skyline. Highly recommend!

My brother and I used to golf here and play in the snow growing up nearby. The park hasn't changed that much. It is still a lovely place to take visitors and I am hoping to find the artist selling the beautiful Vancouver prints again.

Absolutely beautiful park! First stop on our Vancouver trip and it was well worth the beauty. Please take the time and spend the extra cash to drop into the greenhouse. It’s not expensive and the flowers are amazing. The entire garden is well kept and the artwork made with the flowers is incredible. My only recommendation would be to somehow change the water feature that’s no longer in use. Other than that 1000/10 spot to visit.

We wanted to spend some quality time together surrounded by the wonders of nature. Fortunately we decided on Queen E Park. We parked on Midlothian Avenue and walked over to the Duck Pond. Sadly it was just stinky mud, but the trail led us to the Large Quarry. It was breathtaking. We had to take a new picture after every couple of metres. Then we walked over to the Small Quarry for more gorgeous flowers and bushes. To finish, we walked up to the Conservatory level. From there you have great views of Vancouver and the surrounding mountains. There are even plaques that point out various mountain's names. Seasons in the Park is a fine dining experience with great views. There is lots of paid parking available if you drive up. We've been there several times and never get bored with the stunning display. This is MUST SEE!

It is a beautiful park, great for picking and having the kids run around. It has many other places like the Bloedel Conservatory: a nature and wild life garden, Quarries, and restaurant. Perfect for photo shoot spots, and you can see city from the top of the park. Queen Elizabeth Park's peaceful gardens are great place to spend an afternoon.

I went playing disc golf. The course design is good with a little challenge that there is a basket beside the lake. The lawn is too muddy if there was rain the day before. I like the separate putting area particularly, good for practice. The view from the observation deck is spectacular. You are able to see all the local ski resorts when the sky is clear. Paid street parking on slope is available.

Unwin Park is an excellent recreational area for children, featuring a well-equipped playground and an outdoor swimming pool. During the summer months, visitors can also enjoy a water park. Additionally, the park offers several sports facilities such as baseball diamonds, batting cages, cricket fields, soccer fields, lacrosse fields, and basketball courts. For those planning special occasions like birthday parties or simply looking to relax outdoors in good weather, Unwin Park provides three picnic shelters and ample grassy areas.
My family and I recently visited Unwin Park and I must say it was an incredible experience for both the kids and us adults! The variety of activities available is fantastic. There are slides, swings, climbing structures, and even a splash pad that kept the kids entertained for hours. The layout of the park is spacious, allowing plenty of room and green areas for children to run around freely without feeling overcrowded. The playground equipment is well-maintained and clean, which made us feel comfortable letting our little ones explore. One of the highlights was the creative play area, where kids could engage in imaginative play with different themed sections. It was wonderful to see our children’s faces light up as they navigated through these areas, making new friends along the way. The park also has plenty of shaded seating areas and picnic tables for picnics and birthday parties. Parents can relax while keeping an eye on their kids. Overall, Unwin Park exceeded our expectations. It’s a perfect destination for families looking to spend a fun-filled day outdoors. We’ll definitely be returning soon!!

Space is big enough, my kids were so happy to explore this new playground. The musical instruments and seesaw are very unique, the kids who were 5 -12 years can find the right one suitable for themselves. Around playground there are a couple picnic table, basketball and baseball playground. Water park and outdoor swimming pool. Great 9 hole disc golf course, very beginner friendly, first course opened in Canada, pads are categorized by yellow markers that you throw from either side of, a bit of criss crossing but the map at the beginning of the course does a good job of laying out the holes.

Nestled atop Queen Elizabeth Park, the Bloedel Conservatory is a stunning glass-domed sanctuary that offers a delightful escape into nature, especially on those drizzly Vancouver days. It was a great and beautiful experience. The birds and fish were also all so beautiful. I would highly recommend!

Large beautiful park in the heart of Surrey. The park has an athletic field, garden, kids playground and park. There is also a mini golf and train which we could not explore. The parking is spacious and lots of open slots on a Friday evening. The kids playground has a lot of equipment including a merry-go-round, different kinds of swings, see-saws, slides, spray park, etc. Only downside was the restrooms are being reconstructed and they have makeshift portable toilets. Overall, it is good and definitely worth a visit especially for the well-maintained garden.

Very nice park with lots of various amenities. There's a train ride for the children, areas for picnicking including BBQ tables. Currently under construction is the new Surrey event Pavilion. This looks to accommodate approximately 2,200 people put the various events that they hold here in Surrey. What aspect of walking around the track that isn't so pleasant is the smell that comes from the sewage located at the entry to the track at the north east corner.

I walk at this park with my dog on a daily basis. It takes me 2+ hours for a full and complete walk. It's very relaxing. You can see a lot of birds, squirrels, and people walking their dogs, and even rabbits. There's lots of small rivers. Many beautiful trees. There's also many tables for yourself to eat with family. A track field too where a lot of people go to. I'm always relaxed when I go hear with my dog. It's a pretty big park, and as a regular, I tend to almost always find something new. I'm grateful to have this park in my life.

North 40 Park Reserve, located near Boundary Bay Regional Airport in Ladner, is a spacious off-leash dog park with easily accessible parking. The park offers a loop trail that provides an opportunity to learn about its heritage while enjoying a walk with furry family members. Visitors can expect a friendly atmosphere with plenty of people and dogs around. The interconnected trails make it easy to explore the area, and the park's proximity to Boundary Bay Airport adds an interesting historical dimension.
This review is catered towards dog owners looking to take their pup to North 40 Park Reserve. Popularity: 4/5 This is a popular area for dog owners to take their dog for some off leash time, so you will likely come across many other dogs during your visit. This park is massive compared to most other off leash dog parks, with many smaller trails and less frequented sections, so despite the popularity, it never feels crowded. Activities: 4/5 There are plenty of things for you and your pup to do at North 40. You can go for a relaxing walk on the main walking paths, explore the myriad of smaller trails that go through the woodlands and grassy fields, let your dog play with other dogs, or simply find a spot to sit and relax. The entire park reserve also has some interesting history which you can learn about via a few information signs in the park. During winter and spring, this is also a great spot to watch for bald eagles as you can easily spot them nesting in the trees. Views: 3/5 The park consists of mostly grassy fields and patches of woodlands. No spectacular views but the scenery is still quite nice in late spring, summer and early autumn when there is lots of foliage. Comfort: 4/5 The walking paths are flat and easy. There are multiple benches throughout the area and lots of clearings to sit and relax. The only downside is there can be lots of mosquitoes in the summer months. Safety: 4/5 North 40 park reserve is massive enough that you can feel safe about letting your dog run off leash even if they like to wander a bit far from you. Almost everyone that goes here is also a dog owner. I have never seen any potentially dangerous wildlife here but there are bald eagles in the area so it may not be suitable for very small dogs. The park reserve is not fenced in, relying mostly on natural barriers and there is a road and parking lot at the entrance so you may want to be cautious and keep your dog on leash in that area. Accessibility: 5/5 Easy to reach by car and plenty of free parking along the road leading up to the entrance. The park is wheel chair accessible. North 40 Park Reserve is one of the largest off leash dog areas in the Metro Vancouver area. It is similar in style to Tynehead dog park and Derby Reach dog off leash area, where it is essentially a large off leash dog park with walking trails. Personally I love this style of dog park because your dog can play with other dogs while you guys walk and explore the off leash area. It also gives you the option and space to move on if your dog doesn’t get along with a particular dog. North 40 has the additional perks of having some interesting history, lots of open space, and the opportunity to see bald eagles, making it one of my favourites!

A park that is located in the middle of nowhere. It is Excellence for you and your dog to walk around off leash. There is no specific Trail for you to walk everywhere is quite interconnected. you just keep going as you see a path and just keep walking until you're done. Everyone is a friendly on the way and most people are dog lovers you don't have to worry. However you got to make sure that your dog is fine walking without your control on a leash. Quite a sufficient space for parking ur vehicle at the entrance
Luke L — Google review
North 40 Park Reserve. I think I saw it once online and it looked like a large dog-walking park. Then I took a closer look recently when choosing a place to visit on the weekend. It’s big! Upon entering there is a long street to park vehicles. There are a few maps that show the origin, history, and layout. It’s very cool to see the old map and then walk the streets of this once residential area. There are many people who come here to walk dogs. If you like dogs, eagles, planes, and/or history, you’ll like this park. Eagles are everywhere in the trees and circling above. Planes are constantly landing and taking off from Boundary Bay Airport across the way. History is everywhere in the posted signs, the streets you walk on, and the remnants of homes. Concrete pads, small ditches, decorative ditch walls, and stepping bridges, are all overgrown with grass. In some areas of the streets, mother nature breaks through to reclaim the land. There is also one structure still standing that was the base for the boilers to provide heat. Keep an eye out for an older gentleman riding a bicycle. He stopped to chat with us. He is one of the former residents! He had some great stories and said he bikes through the park every day. He will be happy to share his memories with you. If you want to venture off the streets (and one sidewalk!) bring boots as the grassy areas can get very soft and muddy. Daniel

I love finding new off-leash dog areas! I recently visited North 40 Park Reserve and overall had a positive experience. The park is a great place for dog owners to bring their furry friends and let them run free. There were lots of people and dogs around, creating a friendly atmosphere that we enjoyed. The loop we walked took about 40 minutes, which was a little short for us, so we went around 2x. Compared to other dog parks around Vancouver, North 40 Park Reserve is relatively flat and not as exciting. We didn't see much wildlife during our visit, which was a bit of a disappointment. That being said, the park is still a lovely spot for a walk or to spend time with your dog. While we didn't personally see any Bald Eagles during our visit, we heard from others that they can be spotted in the nearby trees during late winter. It's definitely a draw for bird lovers and something to keep in mind when planning a visit. One interesting aspect of the park is its history as the site of the old Vancouver Wireless School, which was closed in 1971. The old roadways that once served the community remain, and there are informational panels located throughout the park that provide historical background. For history buffs, this is definitely worth checking out. Overall, while North 40 Park Reserve may not be the most exciting dog park in the area, it's still a great spot to spend time with your furry friend or take a leisurely stroll. If you're interested in the history of the area, be sure to check out the informational panels throughout the park. And if you're lucky, you might spot some Bald Eagles during your visit!

This is a great Off Leash Dog Park but even if you're not a dog owner I'm sure you'd love to stroll through this historical landmark! BTW, all the dogs I met along the way we're exceptionally friendly well-trained and disciplined. It's Blackberry Season as I write this review, so you might want to bring a little bucket along and pick some! Delicious in fresh baked muffins. 😋

Visitors can explore the land areas through walking trails or opt for a unique experience by accessing the area via boat. The sanctuary features artistically carved dead trees, creating a beautiful and serene atmosphere.
Awesome day 👣 walking the spirit trail. So much too see if you keep your eyes open. Amazing eye for details in his work. Met a gentleman on the trails and he gave us the low down on the history of the place and the man behind it all. Highly recommended for some good exercise and fresh air. Pretty simple area to walk with well maintained paths and signage. You could make the trip with a stroller if needed an dogs seem to love it too. I doubt we saw it all so we are planning on coming back and see what else we missed and what else we can find. Enjoy 😉
Booyaka ( — Google review
Decent walk.. I was definitely hoping for more views of the marshes. The wood carvings were nice.
V — Google review
The part of this wildlife management area that is open to the public has excellent walking trails, as well as a lookout tower with a view of the marshes. This is an excellent place for birdwatchers. One can usually spot an eagle here without much searching. The hours are seasonal. The trails open at 8 am year round, but close at 5 pm between October 1 and April 30 and 8 pm between May 1 and September 30.
Grace W — Google review
Nice and easy trail that full of surprises of wood carving, not too busy
Ken H — Google review
Good walk, can get muddy after heavy rain. Lots of fun carvings to discover, mostly of wizards. Once inside the park, there is no direction signage, so you might get turned around. Not a overly large trail system so you won’t get hopelessly lost. There is a large open mouth statue, with the sign saying basically saying take something leave something. So if you have a little one, be prepared and bring a little trinket that can survive being outside and maybe you will find a little trinket to trade.
June D — Google review
Calm and beautiful some artist gave life to dead trees with the carvings. This all look amazing. If you pay attention may in sone tree a fairly opening a little gate for you. Birds are chirping all the time lots of chirping of tree and bush birds. But extremely camouflage. Anna’s hummingbird, golden and Ruby crown kinglets. Brown tree creeper. Red tail hawk. Owls Northern harriers bald eagle. Song sparrow chickadee and warblers. Besides that it’s so bushy full or Fauna and Flora. One high lookout point to see birds. If you’re a selfie lover you can make some cool stuff with Wizard looking crafted trees . Toilets NO Fun YES Nature walk YES fishing NO dogs ON LEASHES Loop YES Walk EASY If you love Birds don’t miss the Ladner Harbour just 1.6 km frim here.

Beautiful park during the year, all seasons: spring, summer, fall or winter everyone can enjoy each beauty of it. It's also a great place for small trail with kids or youth can practice some biking there. In winter during snow days, it is a must-go place for all local kids to do snow sliding. There also have BBQ and great place for picnic, playing sports on the big field. Very well-maintained park with clean washrooms. They also have the Waterpark during summer time with cover area. Most of big local events such as Canada Day, Festival of Lights are held in this park. Definitely a wonderful place worth your trips when you visit Tsawwassen - or frequent place for all locals with all ages can come and enjoy nature, gatherings.

A really nice park for a stroll all year round. There are a duck pond and a man made waterfall. If you go up the little hill there, you can see the waterfall is from a little pond. It's quiet in autumn. A good family gathering place and water park for kids in summer. When we come back again and again for a walk, this time we see many ducks including the American wigeon. Happy to see so many ducks there. The pond is frozen in January 2024. But it is really interesting seeing the ducks in the frozen pond, can't stay too long there since it is so cold.
Eddie S — Google review
It's such a beautiful park to take my dog for a walk while enjoying the autumn leaves. Well maintained environment. There's public washroom and playground. Free parking available on site.

Sledding in the winter, splash pad, children's running water feature, vast open areas of grass and lots of other activities and two play ground structures =a lot of great options for all ages here! Fantastic park with a great story of community contributions to make the park even better.

A very calm and nice little park with a small pond and artificial waterfall. Great place for small family picnics and birthday parties for kids. It has water sprinklers and a nice playground for kids. Also the pond has tons of Carp fish in it which makes it an amazing experience for little kids but no fishing in the pond.
Haq K — Google review
Nice quiet park for short walk with dogs or kids. Playground area , pond with carp , turtles , ducks. Waterfall feature and interactive water park for kids. Very nice setting in old gravel pit so hills for tobaganing in the snow. They have outdoor movies in the summer. Fun little park just before US border.
Richard B — Google review
This is a great park as it has a little bit of everything. A water park, a play area, music and sounds play area, water works you can pump water to create a stream. Flush toilet restrooms and great for hosting picnics as its a wide open space. The Waterpark area has a nice rubber mat type type ground so it cushier for kids to play on. Theres a push button to get the water running so water isnt wasted and fun for the kids to press to activate the water. Theres a few benches set up around the water park area which makes it easier to watch the kids without getting wet! There a some shady areas as well as open areas in this park.

I went to elementary school here. The playground is great for kids, they improved the safety of the equipment in 2004 so there are guard rails and <5 foot falls. The turf feild is great for soccer (football), football, lacrosse and fieldhockey. In the winter the grass fields can get really soggy so bring boots if you are watching your kids play sports.

Just doing my deliveries and I came upon this park. The area is quiet and this park is right in the middle of it. There's a playground to keep your toddler's busy. Not advance but a simple playground. There's some tree cover. There's a walking path to cut through the neighborhood. There's a weird and strange ditch area that's paved over. I thought it was a retention pool but it isn't. Couple benches and a little grass area. What's interesting is the neighborhood is a collection of smaller homes and lots of illegal extension builds.

One of the last hidden treasures of North Delta. The hall has just been refurbished, and they are working on updating the softball park, but the entire park remains pretty much the same as when i played T-ball there over 35 years as a kid. And it is usually only visited by the locals, so it's nice to have a green space to basically yourself left in this overpopulated city.
Justin N — Google review
They have a baseball field, basketball hoop and a park. Great place for children under 10.
Anneke — Google review
I like that this park is gated in. It is definitely more for the 5 and under crowd. The baseball field beside it is where my older two like to play. 4/5 stars as there are a lot of dog owner that off leash their pets and some run and knock over kids. We really do need a gated dog park in North Delta.
Natalie C — Google review
A terrific local park. There's a Tots Park for wee ones, beautiful forest trails, tables for picnics, washrooms, and a soccer and softball area. Of course, the local dogs all think this is a Dog Park, and are disappointed when the kids are using it.
Tara L — Google review
Great park for younger kids/toddlers. Fully enclosed so no escaping unless someone forgets to close the gate. Nice amount of shade in summer so not too hot. A bit boring for older kids as no monkey bars etc

Great park for the kids to go to. It's right beside a school and filled with baseball fields for the community teams and baseball/kickball enthusiasts. There's a public washroom and a playground available as well. The grass is green, the trees look happy and there's a good number of old ones there to add interest 😀 I should pay more attention my son's practice but should they just be chilling, there's some nature to entertain ya if your that sort of person

This is a great little park and playground in a quiet neighbourhood. There are two sets of climbing apparatus for children to test their agility on and to enjoy sliding down after climbing. There are also two sets of swings with two dedicated and modeled for very small children to use safely. The only thing lacking is a field for games like ball throwing and soccer etc. Despite lacking a field there is a relatively large wooded area that offers great fun for children to go exploring and the trees offer shade on hot and sunny days. Well worth checking out with small children for games and perhaps a picnic to go along with the games.
