Happy Valley is a delightful coastal gem nestled between Bulcock Beach and Kings Beach, making it an ideal destination for families with young children. This unpatrolled beach offers a serene environment where little ones can explore rock pools during low tide, perfect for shell hunting and discovering marine life. The park features picnic tables, BBQ grills, drinking water facilities, and toilets to ensure a comfortable day out.
White sand, and much less crowded as King Beach. Ideal for a lazy sunbathing day away from commercial beach environments. Beautiful walking track along the ocean side, connecting Bulcock Beach to King Beach. So many opportunities for beautiful photos

A beautiful place to walk, no matter what time of day it is. Happy Valley, a place where the sea beeze smells fresh and the views are breathtaking. Have a wander or sit on a bench for a bit or stop at one of the cafes along the way for a light meal or cuppa. The kids have a sand pit and big park to play in or walk out to the water for a swim. Definitely worth a visit.
Ila-leigh Z — Google review
Lovely views of the beach. Has a great park for kids to play, with quiet good facilities. Lovely walking path. It has changes so much since I was a little person. But still fantastic especially at low tide.
Ashley F — Google review
Our favorite place any time of the year! Beach, walkway, playground - peaceful & beautiful ✨️
Maria N — Google review
Very different now that the bar has moved! Makes a perfect swimming lagoon, amazing at sunset.
Dave K — Google review
Happy Valley is a favourite place of mine for many decades. A beautiful coastal walkway. A range of places to park. A place with ocean and calm water views protected by a wandering park with coastal trees. Looks at the Northern part of Bribie Island. Lovely ocean breezes with the white sound of crashing waves that brighten ones day. Certainly a place to return to again and again. Update- Happy Valley now has an extraordinary beach...a great place to expore for all ages...The sea change that has occurred over recent years has created a new world of large expansive beaches with tidal pools and shallow water ways... it is just beautiful....
Peter A — Google review
Fantastic beach to take your dog on leash. Unfortunately no off leash areas, but great nonetheless. A few entry points from the foreshore to the beach, with a handful of water fountains along the way. There’s a walkway adjacent to the beach which is a really nice walk with great views too. Some good picnic spots, and overall a great on leash dog beach.
Kerbray — Google review
Great beach for young kids. Usually small swell and low undertow. Water is lovely and cool and not very deep. Only downside is the disgusting stale water you have to walk around to get to the beach ☹ Although, if you enter the beach from the toilet block end, you avoid this stale water. There's a lovely playground and beautiful park as well as a little cafe place with yummy fresh food and drinks. Toilet block was a great size and clean 👍

The Botanic Gardens in Caloundra offer a pleasant stroll through nature, with a peaceful atmosphere and minimal crowds. It is a charming oasis nestled within the suburbs, providing tranquility and easy walking paths. The park is adorned with majestic gum trees and features a main pathway made of pebble-crete, while other side trails may become muddy. Overall, it is an ideal destination for those seeking scenic forest walks amidst beautiful ancient trees.
Wonderful, large bushland park with picnic area, toilets, BBQs and three main trails thru eucalyptus, heath and rainforest. Visited on a weekday morning and didn’t encounter any people on the tracks. Access to picnic area and off street parking via Queen street. Other pedestrian entrances via Arthur Street, Third Avenue and West Terrace. Signage for trails near West Terrace entrance. Went looking for native wildflowers and was rewarded with many species blooming in both the dry and wet heath trails plus the eucalypt trail, melaleuca link. Highly recommended walk for spring wildflowers, birdwatching and trying to spot lace monitors.

A hidden gem, amongst suburbia! Very quiet and an easy walk! Beautiful old gums. The main path is pebble-crete, whilst other side tracks can get muddy.
Juliet M — Google review
Just a delightful, peaceful, calming place to be. I was incredibly lucky. I was caught in a short downpour for about 3 or 4 minutes. It was incredible how everything just seemed to explode to life when the rain stopped. The birds were singing and drying their wings, the frogs were calling to each other even the leaves on the plants and trees seemed to be swelling and breathing. And the smell. Ohhhh. It was divine! Mini waterfalls appeared out of nowhere, only to disappear just as quickly as the thirsty ground absorbed the water. So many wonderful photo opportunities. And as I came back out into the clearing sky I saw the most incredible 🌈. My photos do not do it justice. It was so close and incredibly clear. Get away from the tv people. Cancel your Netflix subscription and get outdoors and see the magic that happens. What an amazing day.
F F — Google review
Decent little walk through the park. Nothing special however really quiet which was very nice! Not too many people around which was nice for a change! Recommend wearing decent shoes instead of Birkenstock’s 🤦🏼‍♂️
Matt — Google review
Easy parking level. B.B.Q. area. Shelter areas. Little walk areas. And Toilets. Open space.
Graham L — Google review
Why did I like it so much? Because it is a hidden gem right in the middle of town. I especially loved these tiny little birds of fan tails and different colouring plus trees ranging from gigantic to tiny.

It features over 200 stalls offering handcrafted goods, arts, crafts, clothing, and delicious food. The fair also provides live entertainment and street theatre for the whole family to enjoy. Additionally, during holiday periods, visitors can explore the Caloundra Twilight Markets held on Fridays along Bulcock Beach esplanade.
The Caloundra Street Fair is a vibrant Sunday morning must-visit! Open from 8 AM to 1 PM, this bustling market perfectly blends coastal charm with lively energy. Stroll through tree-lined streets packed with over 120 stalls offering unique handmade goods, fresh produce, gourmet delights, and stunning local art. Live music adds a cheerful rhythm, while the friendly atmosphere makes it a treat for all ages. Whether you're hunting for treasures, savoring delicious eats, or simply soaking in the sunny vibes, the Caloundra Street Fair promises an unforgettable start to your Sunday!
Iam360 — Google review
Been coming to these markets for the last 30 years when visiting on holidays. Not as many stalls these days and the layout is more difficult to negotiate. Even though the quantity and quality has dropped, there's still plenty to see and browse whilst enjoying the market atmosphere. With the amount of dogs being displayed by their owners it can be annoying to move around; but has also added to an increase in dog associated stalls! Plenty of food/drink stalls/vans, you won't go hungry. Still a popular place to be on a Sunday morning, so come and check it out next time you're in Caloundra.
Kelvin J — Google review
Caloundra Sunday Market is a must-visit! There are so many stalls to explore, offering all sorts of items — from handmade goods to fresh produce and more. Prices are generally reasonable, though some food options can be a bit pricey. The food is great overall, but seating is limited, with not many chairs and tables available. It’s a large, vibrant market with something for everyone!
Augilie S — Google review
Amazing. Very crowded, but food is so delicious and drinks are always nice and the clothing and jewelry are always beautiful. Surcharge is a lot, so I recommend bringing cash instead. Would recommend going there and going for a walk around the markets. 😊
Lilly P — Google review
The food and the stalls were great
Sarah W — Google review
Wonderful idea where the street is blocked off and a market is setup. Definitely a must do if you are in the area. Brings trade both to the stores and stalls. Great variety of products and foods.
P M — Google review
Caloundra Street Fair have really stepped it up lately the quality of the stalls is so much better, way more well-presented than they used to be with lots gorgeous, interesting products I find myself spending so much more time (and money haha) there great spot to go if your looking for a cute gift idea. Love that they also have fresh fruit & veg, flowers and lots of great food stalls. If you haven’t been in a while definitely go and check it out, they also have more shade and seating down there now. It’s very family and dog friendly 💛
Terri H — Google review
Recommend the Japanese food tent. Prawn gyoza to keep coming back for. Oh, and the Portugese tarts nearby. Oh, and the German sourdough bread. Best coffee and friendly service at Classic Espresso. Plenty more than just food at the markets. Jewellery, clothes, games, plants, fruit+veg, music...

Caloundra Skate Park is a fantastic destination for families and skate enthusiasts alike. Recently, I had the pleasure of visiting with my six-year-old grandson, who brought along his impressive monster truck remote control. The atmosphere was welcoming, with older kids showing respect and care for younger visitors like us. This park features an array of interconnected bowls in various sizes, making it suitable for skaters of all skill levels.
Awesome skate park! Great access and parking. Shaded during the day with monster shade sails. Heaps of inter-connected bowls of all sizes. A fantastic community asset. Enjoy!!!🤘🏼

Spent a little time there this week with my six year-old grandson! The ultimate compliment was we went to drive his remote controls around. He has a huge monster truck gravedigger and he bought me his tank style gravedigger for me Ha ha We kept to one side and the bigger kids there were respectful of looking out for Monte and myself at all times. Great kids! I haven’t laughed that hard for a while. 🤣🥳

It’s a big park, so plenty of space to play soccer or kick a football or throw a frisbee. It has 2 different areas with bbq facilities. One closer to the kids play area and one away from it, so it’s a bit quieter. The park is large and has a track around it, so you could run around it or the kids could ride it. There is some gym equipment and large measuring distance between them, for doing something like a beep test. The kids area has a slide, a large round swing, sandpit and climbing area.

Lovely little park to visit with your leashed dog. We did all the trails in 40 mins. Extremely well signed. A couple of the side trails are a little muddy, majority of the paths have some paving and were dry.

Gorgeous easy bushland walking trail in Central Caloundra. Various trails to choose from with numbered signage. No risk of getting lost. I was thinking I had to drive to a Noosa Council area for some beautiful bush land walks but this is so close. I park on the side of the road in West Terrace down from the RSL which always has plenty of spots available. There are tables at the front entrance and chairs here and there on the trails. The toilet was very clean and maintained. There is beautiful bird life around the area including flighty finches who seem to delight in watching you as they zig zag tree to tree. Stunning Tallowwood trees and many other amazing old Grandfather trees. Terrible to think Council are planning to destroy it for a road.

Sharon T — Google review
Good park. We found tables and BBQs. Parking is its greatest downfall. I can not understand building great parks, especially for family gatherings, with very little parking. The locals must hate having cars parked higgly piggly everywhere on their, ever so narrow roads
Dorothy K — Google review
Always a favourite with the kids plus cafe and coffee! Playground has so much different equipment for all ages, and great for small birthday parties. There is a grassed area too plus a small bike track.
Bec — Google review
It’s a climbing park for older kids, so not the best for little ones. Can get busy, so if your planning a party, get in early. Does have some green space for running around or kicking a ball. There is a cafe onsite, and bbq facilities. The sight lines aren’t the best, so don’t expect to sit and watch the kids the whole time, as they can and will go out of view on occasion with this park. Also, the park has sand, so expect to take that home.

Road traffic practice area (mostly shaded) and long tracks around the grassy field for little wheels. Covered seating and BBQ area, and adjacent lake. Dog park at the end of the field. Only a single toilet next to the parking lot. Pond with ibis and a few ducks near the parking lot.

We have only recently discovered this park. We go mainly for the dogs off lead area. We have two whippets and they get up some pretty good speed, so the space is great for them. Our dogs are peabrains, so agility obstacles are a little bit above their pay grade. They are learning. Other dog owners are friendly.

One of the best parks we've been too. It's a perfect break spot not too far off the highway. There's playground equipment for little kids & bigger kids. A huge open field to kick balls, dog park, kids roadway for bikes, shady picnic areas, toilet & even a pond with ducks. Would definitely recommend if you're in the area.

A great spacious park with a range of zones from bike track and paths to BBQ and picnic areas along with a dog trial area. It is a dog on leash park. There is a path all the way around it and a couple of play areas. Opposite the park is a basketball court and skate bowl. Heaps of parking.

Great Park for families, BBQ areas, plenty of shaded seating areas, toilets, playgrounds and also a little area for the kids to ride with stop signs, pedestrian crossing etc

OMG, what an amazing place! Found it totally by luck just driving around the Sunshine Coast. Got to be one of the best beaches I have ever seen! Being from the UK this place just blew my mind with its beauty....WOW

IMO one of the best places on the Sunshine Coast to take a young family. Shallow embankment onto a great swimming spot. Plenty of picnic space. Lots of things to explore and most importantly little commercial development. Magic!

Quiet, peaceful and clean bbq's to use. Will come again. Kids Park would be great

Great amenities, good playground for kids and a great walking path around lake Currimundi.

Love the dog friendly walking trails. Like the swimming spots. Its close and convenient to the patrolled beach. Very close to our accommodation. Good playground for the kids. An interesting tree on river walk.
Anne P — Google review
Lovely park with a heavy tree cover for shade overlooking Currimundi lake. For the best camera shots, make sure currimundi lake is open and at its highest tides with dry weather, you will get some stunning crystal clear water days. Awesome place to go during the summer and there are little paths accessing the lake all the way down the walkway to the currimundi sport fields.

Beautiful park, BBQs shelters, drinking water, showers, plenty of shade and very clean amenities. If you want a meal or a coffee there is award winning café and coffee shops also. Great place to spend the day.
