Furniture store
Artek Helsinki is a contemporary Scandinavian furniture and home accents store located across from the Stockmann department store on Keskuskatu pedestrian street. The bi-level space showcases premium classic Finnish design items alongside international brands. The store features Alvar Aalto's iconic designs, including the classic three-legged stool and bent-birch furniture. Visitors can explore Artek's own collection of furniture, lighting, and accessories, including exclusive product launches and customizations for Alvar Aalto's Stool 60.
Unmissable stop during your visit to Helsinki where Artek was stablished. Visit the shop were you can find all of their classic furniture and lighting plus some special editions that you will not find anywhere else. They also stock some design items, Vitra’s products and books on Aalto.

Wonderful place in the city center. You can always find well organised artek furniture here. Good place to stop by for anyone who is interested in design.
Ttreview — Google review
It's cool design and display.
F S — Google review
Beautiful store but subpar shopping experience. I went in with the intention of purchasing several textile items and the Riihitie planters, and also to look at some pendant lights. Received zero service from the Asian sales assistant (I think she was the only one on the second floor at the time) who walked right past me to help a white Finnish couple who were browsing furniture. I ended up not buying anything here and making my purchases at Vepsäläinen a few days after.
Tiina X — Google review
Design furnitures, carpets, fabrics, lights and other small decorative items from Finninsh and International designers. Large selection that changes periodically on display and many known international design items can ce ordered as well with the help of Artek. The store also has small exhibitions related to design troughout the year. There is also smaller store Artek 2nd Cycle nearby that focuses on recycled design furnitures from the past.
Tero M — Google review
The true Finnish design!
XI Z — Google review
Great showroom and shop of Finnish furniture design. Most famous designer is Alvar Aalto who's desings are the highlight of Artek collection. The shop is in center of Helsinki on a building designed by Aalto. This is not a museum but a shop so you can pick things here If you like them. Also just browsing is OK.

Nestled in the vibrant heart of Helsinki, Stockmann Helsinki Centre is a historic shopping destination that has been captivating visitors since its opening in 1930. Spanning an impressive 164,000 square feet, this iconic department store offers a delightful blend of local Scandinavian brands and renowned international labels. Shoppers can explore unique selections that are hard to find elsewhere while enjoying exceptional service in a warm atmosphere.
A truly exclusive shopping experience in Helsinki! I visited the Stockmann Department Store as I was desperately searching for a gift. A lovely saleswoman, Ursula, helped me out in every way possible — it was only thanks to Her that I found the ideal gift — a beautiful Coach bag that was perfect for a gift. Absolutely incredible service — easy to talk to and extremely friendly. Definitely coming back for more (especially to the bags section on floor 1A). Sending my best regards to Ursula, Sten

As a child I used to visit Stockmann with my friends. Especially the toy department was a tempting place to spend time and to wonder and test the newest toys. Some years later the music department and the neighbour house's book store were important places to do findings, and finally Stockmann's delicacy (food) department was the best place to buy the most delicious cheeses. Thus, Stockmann with its Academic Bookstore has had its place in my life, and it was somehow exciting to visit there after many years. And after yesterday's Mall of Tripla mess, Stockmann as a traditional department store feels so clear and easy. Almost 100 years old Stockmann is an interesting trip to more traditional shopping centre culture.
Hannu T — Google review
Nice for anyone looking for a bit more expensive souvenirs or just wants to shop a bit more high end. Toilets are free and clean. However it gets very full on the weekends, which means you will have to wait ages for the elevator.

This is the iconic Stockmann Department Store in Helsinki. Founded in 1862 and located in the historic Argos house with the lovely Renaissance Revival facade, this if the Stockmann flagship store and the largest in the Nordic countries with over 10 floors and 50,000 sq mts of shopping space. You'll find a who's who of retail branch names along with good eateries, coffee shops and a great supermarket. Stockmann is a great shopping destination for locals and a place well worth a visiting for tourists to Helsinki.

Departmental store. New LV store inside. Pop up Moomin exhibition too. Moomin celebrating 80 years anniversary. Drop by to shop😍a lot of local Finnish products here as well as international brand. A place to shop in Helsinki
Jeci K — Google review
Amazing store. It's way too big to do in its entirety, so unless you want to spend all day in there, it's impossible to see and do everything that's in there. My wife enjoyed the "Relove" store, off the ladies' apparel department, where they had used clothing. The store is in the middle of the city so it's very convenient.
Jim M — Google review
An excellent department store with great cafe on 10th floor. Open sandwiches and elicious coffee highly recommended.
Chris W — Google review
A great department store full of all sorts of items from clothes to household goods. It is on the pricey side. It has places to purchase food. There are toilets, nappy changing facilities, and a childcare room. There is free wi-fi. It is currently collaborating with the Moomins. There is a small Moomin pop-up store, a small exhibit, and a Moomin at the entrance. Throughout the year, there will be events on offer, such as a Moomin treasure hunt. They are offering a ten percent discount voucher to tourists. The store is wheelchair accessible. There are lifts to all floors. Some lifts have priority for wheelchair users. There are disabled toilets.

Kämp Galleria, located in the heart of Helsinki, is a stylish shopping mall offering a mix of domestic and international fashion brands. Since its opening in 1999, it has been known for housing premium and luxury brands, creating a vibrant and stylish atmosphere. Situated between the bustling Aleksanterinkatu street and the scenic Esplanadi park, Kämp Galleria provides a shopping oasis with carefully selected Scandinavian design and international fashion.
I come here for lunch sometimes or to just escape the cold, feed my baby, and relax for a bit. The mall has a luxurious feel with nice floor tiles and green potted plants, and the restroom facilities are comfortable and clean.

It says it's open, but all the doors are shut no one seems to know where the entrance is to this place. I believe they are doing renovations, a bus load of Japanese tourists wanted to go in but none of us could find the entrance.

This store is a true gem for design lovers! Full of unique and high-end decor pieces you won’t find anywhere else. Stylish, bold, and beautifully curated – perfect for adding personality and elegance to your home.

Kämp Galleria – Helsinki’s Chic Shopping Secret If you love design, this is the place to be. Kämp Galleria mixes high-end fashion, Finnish designers, and unique concept stores under one gorgeous glass roof right in the city center. Every corner feels stylish yet relaxed—perfect for browsing or just soaking up Helsinki’s creative vibe. Don’t miss the upstairs galleries and the little cafés tucked between boutiques. Prices range from splurge-worthy to surprisingly reasonable, so there’s something for every budget. Whether you’re a serious shopper or just exploring, this spot feels like stepping into Helsinki’s modern style scene.

Kluuvi Shopping Centre is a modern and compact mall located in the heart of Helsinki, near many popular attractions. Opened in 1989, it houses 40 diverse shops offering everything from sportswear to upscale brands like Michael Kors and Tiger of Sweden. The center also features 11 restaurants and cafes, including local favorites like Belge and Kulma Cafe. Visitors can enjoy a variety of dining options ranging from Finnish coffee to international cuisine.
Prime shopping mall in Helsinki. Many restaurants, some of which you can access even after the shops are closed. Bus terminal is on the lower level and there is a direct access to the metro system as well. If you come to Helsinki on public transportation this is a likely place where you come, apart from the train station which is also very close. One stop on the metro or a short walk.
Someday B — Google review
The shopping experience was enjoyable, albeit somewhat expensive.
Dr M — Google review
Food really nice but service not so much. We felt really rushed to order first of all even though it wasn't even near the closing time. They don't also have any normal quality coffee, they said they have only filter coffee and when we said that we'll have that then the waitress looked at the coffee pot which was empty and said that it's also not available? She could've made more of some filter coffee for us at least with the dessert, considering we paid quite a lot in here also.
ALISA — Google review
Do not eat the seafood platter there are only 2 to 3 “prawns” and they are not king prawns the are small, the oysters 🦪 are ok…but bad dish.

Marimekko Esplanadi is a vibrant flagship store that embodies the essence of Finnish design with its strikingly colorful apparel and home decor. Nestled along the picturesque Esplanadi, this shop offers an extensive range of clothing, bags, textiles, and home goods adorned in Marimekko's signature bold patterns. It's a must-visit for anyone intrigued by unique fashion or seeking functional yet stylish items.
Rumour said if you cannot find what you want in one store, go to another. In my case, this is the first Marimekko store I went in the district, but I found all I want so I didn't have to go on to another. The staff was very helpful and had many recommendations, and didn't put me in haste while I was trying on whole lot of different items (clothes I mean). One of the best shopping experiences.
Pingyuan C — Google review
Absolutely love the timeless style of Marimekko — unique pieces, beautiful design, perfect quality. But most importantly, I want to say a huge thank you to the wonderful staff. They helped me with the choice, gave great advice, discussed everything patiently, and prepared Tax-Free documents so quickly and politely. It was such a warm and pleasant experience. Thank you for making my shopping in Helsinki special!

Faa A — Google review
Beautiful products, excellent brand, fairly priced.
Gordon M — Google review
Happened to be there at the beginning of winter sale. This shop had the best, almost complete selection of sale items and well-stocked. Besides clothings, accessories and home decor, it also carried the Marimekko Kiosk series (not every branch had it). Very friendly and happy staff too. They all made sure to ask if you were a Marimekko member. Otherwise you could sign up as one and new member entitled to 10% off normal-priced goods.
Summerbo — Google review
An impeccably gorgeous store where everything is neat and tidy and in its place. Even if you are not a fan of her clothing, you can appreciate this iconic designer.

The Old Market Hall in Helsinki is a historic 19th-century venue located near the iconic Market Square. It offers a unique shopping experience with shops and stalls selling traditional Finnish specialties, including local cheeses, seafood, fruits, vegetables, cakes, spices, teas, and coffee. Adjacent to where fishing boats dock, visitors can sample fresh seafood in a historic atmosphere. The vibrant Market Square nearby features bustling activity with stalls offering fresh produce and handmade crafts.
The Old Market Hall in Helsinki, Finland, was one of our first stops right after arriving on the 2-hour ferry from Tallinn, and we truly enjoyed every moment. It’s fascinating to see so many international flavors under one roof, from Vietnamese classics to Turkish coffee, from fresh fish and seafood to unique souvenirs like deer horns and furs. There are dozens of small shops to explore one by one, each with its own charm. Absolutely recommended!!
Kalyoner — Google review
Restored fish market (I am assuming) that now houses individual food stalls. We were there pretty early so it wasn't busy. There are free toilets in the back. We bought a delicious lingonberry mini pie. It's right on the water, near the ferry that takes you to Suomenlinna, a popular tourist destination. I imagine that the hall is jam packed during the day. There are hot prepared, packaged, and to go options available.
J P — Google review
The Old Market Hall is a fantastic place to explore and experience Helsinki’s local flavors. The hall is full of character, with plenty of stalls offering fresh produce, fish, baked goods, and traditional Finnish treats. The atmosphere is lively but not overwhelming, and it’s a great spot to grab a snack or just soak in the local culture. A must-visit for food lovers and anyone who wants a taste of authentic Helsinki!
Jack F — Google review
The Old Market Hall is a gem in Helsinki — full of charm, history, and flavor. The atmosphere inside is warm and inviting, with beautiful old architecture and rows of stalls offering everything from fresh seafood and pastries to Finnish delicacies and local treats. It’s a perfect spot to wander and sample traditional foods. A great mix of authentic culture and everyday life, and a must-visit when exploring the city.
William O — Google review
I visited the Old Market Hall (Vanha Kauppahalli) in Helsinki this August, and it quickly became one of my favorite stops in the city. The market is small but full of character, with a warm atmosphere that blends history and local flavor. Walking through the wooden stalls, I found an incredible selection of fresh fish, seafood, cheeses, baked goods, and other Finnish specialties. One highlight I absolutely have to mention is the traditional Finnish salmon soup (lohikeitto). It’s rich, creamy, and comforting – exactly the kind of dish that makes you feel like you’ve tasted something truly local. Sitting down with a bowl while watching the bustle of the market felt like stepping into the heart of Helsinki’s food culture. Whether you’re after a quick bite, unique local products, or simply a cozy place to explore, the Old Market Hall is a must-visit. It’s the perfect spot to experience authentic Finnish flavors right by the harbor.
Kalina M — Google review
Beautiful historic market with a great atmosphere. Nice place to try Finnish specialties like smoked salmon, reindeer meat, and pastries. A bit small and prices can be high, but worth visiting for the experience.
Anwar S — Google review
This hall was so cute! From cafes, quick bites, fresh meat, caviar, and bathrooms. What more could you ask for. We tried the popcorn coffee which was amazing and a stuffed baked potato. One of the highlight locations on our trip.
Kelli D — Google review
Must visit when in Helsinki! Definitely try the Eriksson fish stall for the best salmon and lobster soup and their amazing fish tapas. 🦞 Great souvenirs as well such a reindeer jerky, caviar and licorice. There are some good coffee spots too! ☕️

Hietalahti Market is a popular spot in Helsinki, known for its large outdoor flea market that offers a wide range of new and secondhand items. The 115-year-old redbrick market hall nearby hosts various small restaurants serving diverse cuisines, making it an excellent lunch venue. Additionally, visitors can shop for local breads, cheeses, smoked meats, and fish at the market hall.
The market in Helsinki is a vibrant and colorful place, located right on the waterfront with stunning views. At this market, you can find a wide variety of delicious local specialties. Naturally, fish and seafood are the stars – raw, smoked, or salted, as well as caviar. You’ll also find unique delicacies like reindeer and even bear meat. You can buy these treats to take home or enjoy them right there, which is exactly what I did. The marinated herring I tried was simply outstanding, and paired with a glass of local beer, it was a perfect culinary experience. This market is not just a place to shop, but a chance to immerse yourself in Helsinki’s authentic flavors and atmosphere. Highly recommended for any food lover!

Forum is a bustling shopping and leisure center that spans an entire city block in Helsinki. It houses a wide array of brand name stores, making it a shopper's paradise. Visitors can explore boutiques around Esplanad Park and the Design District, featuring renowned Finnish design names like Artek, Aarikka, Design Forum Finland, Littala, and Marimekko.
Another amazing indoor shopping mall filled with great label making clothes stores, boutique shops, restaurants, and cafes. All under one huge building in the center of the city, next to several transport lines and within walking distance of The Central Railway Station. Again, whenever in Helsinki a must for shopping if one has no idea of where things are at and where to go to find the best places for it. It is really outstanding on many levels, no doubt. As a New Yorker, there are so many luxury items, fashions, and accessories among many delightful products made in Finland and/or designed for the markets specifically here. Especially outdoor gear and equipment et cetera. Like every country has its brand name lines, you will definitely love what is offered here too. Tremendous quality and value!
Sir F — Google review
Forum Helsinki is a modern, centrally located shopping mall with a great mix of shops, cafes, and services. It's clean, well-organized, and easily accessible. Perfect for quick shopping or a relaxed day out. A solid choice for both locals and tourists.
Md H — Google review
This is a shopping centre that takes up much of a full block at Mannerheimintie and Simonkatu that opened in 1985. There are several floors of retail shops, coffee shops and restaurants. We had a good healthy lunch at Plants By Us when we visited recently. Makes for a good mall for local residents and potentially for tourists looking for things to do on bad weather days.
Brad — Google review
Great mall in Helsinki. It can be a bit confusing as there are many different entrances and many different ways to get there from Public transit. With the amount of escalators and levels it can be easy to get lost in. Plenty of stores and should be able to find anything you could need.
John D — Google review
A lovely, diverse, beautiful shopping mall containing numerous restaurants and more than enough shops for the average human being!!
Gordon M — Google review
Convenient One-Stop Shopping in the Heart of Helsinki Forum Shopping Center is perfectly located in the middle of Helsinki—just a few minutes’ walk from the main railway station. The mall is bright, well-organized, and easy to navigate. I liked the wide mix of stores, from well-known international brands to Finnish favorites like Marimekko and small local boutiques. The food court has plenty of choices, including vegetarian and quick-grab options, and the restrooms were spotless. There are elevators and clear signage, so it’s wheelchair and stroller friendly. If you’re visiting Helsinki and need shopping, dining, or simply a warm place to stroll in winter, Forum is a great stop.

Iittala is a must-visit shop in Iso Omena, offering a diverse selection of high-quality homeware and ceramic products. The store also features textiles from Marimekko and modernist furniture from Artek. Visitors can explore the Secret Shop for unique pieces and check out 2nd Cycle, where Iittala recycles its own products. Customers have praised the friendly and helpful staff, making it an ideal place to find gifts or vintage dishes with excellent service.
The staff here are incredibly helpful and supportive. They always go the extra mile to make sure you find what you need and leave satisfied. Great service and very friendly.

I went there today at around 3:30 pm. Walked in the store, and a female staff member was standing at the till. She ignored me while she smiled and said hello to my Finnish husband only a few steps behind me. I've lived in Europe as a Korean about 10 years, but this is one of the few occasions I've felt discriminated.

Household lovers will love this place. It's a must visit shop in Iso Omena. Beautiful ceramic products, bed linen etc, a good place to buy for gifts too. Cute Moomin cups, plates and bowls are also found here. Went on 28.12.2023, sale was on and many lovely items including Moomin's are worth buying 😍🤩 Friendly and helpful staff too 🥰

(Translated by Google) A very nice large store in a good location on the 1st floor of Iso Omena. Friendly, helpful sellers. In the store's popular vintage shelf, I found 4 Tapio Wirkkala Aslak glasses 5 e/pc. This series has been discontinued a long time ago. The seller packed the glasses very skillfully. I wasn't at all afraid that I would get them home intact. Now the vintage shelves had e.g. Theme dishes. There were two bargain tables in the shop. They had products that were going away. You can also get decorating tips from the store, as there is a nicely composed arrangement of the mornings of Athens and beautifully laid tables. It's worth stopping by to see the selection! (Original) Erittäin mukava isohko liike hyvällä paikalla Ison Omenan 1. kerroksessa. Ystävälliset, auttavat myyjät. Myymälän suositusta vintage- hyllyköstä löysin 4 Tapio Wirkkalan Aslak- lasia 5 e/ kpl Tämä sarja on poistunut valikoimasta ajat sitten. Myyjä pakkasi lasit tosi taitavasti. En yhtään pelännyt, että saanko ne kotiin ehjinä. Nyt vintage-hyllyillä oli mm. Teema-astioita. Liikkeessä oli kaksi löytöpöytää. Niissä oli poistuvia tuotteita. Liikkeestä saa myös sisustusvinkkejä, sillä siellä on hienosti sommiteltu Ateenan aamujen asetelma ja kauniisti katetut pöydät. Kannattaa poiketa katsomassa valikoimaa!

(Translated by Google) Apparently, the transaction was a bit at a bad time, because a few questions about the products were clearly unpleasant and frustrating for the seller. If it's a bad day, there's no point in blaming or taking it out on the customer. Based on the experience, we probably won't do business again. Name "You were served by Wilma". Nim. "Sinua palveli Wilma".

Itis is a shopping center located in the eastern part of Helsinki, accessible by a 15-minute metro ride from the city center. As the largest mall in the Nordic countries, it offers an extensive selection of shops with almost 240 different options to choose from. Alongside its wide range of retail outlets, Itis also boasts nearly 30 restaurants and cafes for visitors to enjoy.
Not so busy on the weekdays. There are restaurants and almost all brands outlets, halal meat shops. Play corner for the kids. A good number of parking places are also available here, which are free of cost. So, it is a complete package. Superb place to visit.

I went to Itäkeskus for their foods in their Kauppahalli and the foods were excellent. Great food price ratio with Chicken Gyros and the Strawberry Foam Matcha is spectacular. Unfortunately the Dubai Chocolate Icecream hit under the mark. There just wasn’t the dubai chocolate Wow-factor within it. Very basic or too basic recipe with nothing extra, which dubai chocolate has. Just ordinary chocolate sauce, green sauce that I’m not sure if it’s pistachio and kunef which all of them is too little compared to the soft serve’s amount

Today around 17:50, a clearly intoxicated and socially unstable individual, with a bottle of alcohol in his pocket, approached and started yelling at my 1-month-old baby who was peacefully sleeping in a stroller near the tables by McDonald’s (next to the escalator). As a result, the baby has been crying for hours and cannot calm down. This experience was extremely upsetting and left a very negative impression of the shopping center. I strongly do not recommend visiting this place with children — it clearly lacks proper security and family-friendly atmosphere.

Big and bright mall. I was surprised at how bright this mall is compared to other malls in Helsinki. Very easy to navigate although it has many shops and eating places.
Domna T — Google review
My current rating are 3 stars only. Itis is currently undergoing a major renovation. Many stores are closed and the mall currently has a bit of a construction site feel. Had I known this before, I would have chosen not to visit. I'll be returning after the renovation is complete for an updated review. Plus points for the fact that at least on one of the parking sections, still 5 hours free parking is available. However, I do not recommend to park on the deck that is on the Stockmann side. The way down is extremely narrow and I had trouble to leave due to it being so tight. I am an experienced and confident driver, I usually don't encounter such situations. The guidance towards the exit lane is so tight and the curve is so sharp that I was worried I'd scratch my car. I had to maneuver quite a bit to get out unharmed. I haven't had this problem in any other parking sections in Itis.

Itis Shopping Center is an exceptional shopping destination in Helsinki, standing out with its unique shops among popular brands. The mall is easily accessible, boasting free parking and good public transport links. Despite its size, a stroll around the various stores, including groceries and household items, will soon have you navigating it with ease. Plus, there are plenty of restaurants and coffee shops perfect for socializing or a relaxing break. With ongoing renovations, the interior may seem a bit dark, but the lively atmosphere keeps the spirit upbeat. In essence, Itis is a clean, well-organized shopping haven, inviting you back for more enjoyable experiences.

I’ve been visiting Itis in Helsinki for a while, mainly for grocery shopping and checking out phone and clothing stores, as well as some electronics shops. Overall, the mall offers a good variety of stores, making it easy to find what I need in one place. The grocery stores are well-stocked, and I can usually find both everyday essentials and specialty items without any trouble. The clothing stores have a decent selection, with options ranging from affordable to higher-end, which is nice for different shopping needs. The phone and electronics stores are also worth checking out. They carry a good range of products, and it’s convenient to compare different models and prices in one trip. The layout of the mall makes it easy to navigate, and I appreciate that it doesn’t feel too crowded, even during busy hours. The overall atmosphere is clean and comfortable, and it’s well-maintained, which adds to the positive experience. Itis is also easy to get to, thanks to its connection to public transportation. It’s a reliable place for everyday shopping, and I like having a mix of stores in one location, making errands more efficient.

Sokos Department Store in Helsinki is conveniently located in the Kamppi area, making it easily accessible for visitors. It's known for its friendly service and attractive sales and special campaigns. While some customers have noted limitations with ceiling height and space, the store has made efforts to introduce new products and improve its food offerings. With other popular department stores like Stockmann nearby, Sokos stands out as a one-stop shop for retail therapy in the city.
One of the best department stores of Finland. It has a 24 hour S-market downstairs, upper floors have the central S-bank branch and every kind of fashion, shoes, cosmetics, beauty products, men's and women's wear, all the best Finnish and European brands. This is my go-to store for buying eveything from a socks, face creams, shoes to home mortgage!

I would especially like to acknowledge Kata (Katarina) at the Fenty Beauty outlet for her outstanding customer service. She was knowledgeable, patient, and helped us select the most suitable products for our skin. Thank you for the excellent service and pleasant shopping experience❤️

Amazing department store that carries a tremendously high selection of beauty care products made in Finland and across Scandinavia and other European countries too. One of several places in Helsinki to visit and shop on several floors of luxury goods, clothing, household items, and more. Located conveniently next to several tram lines in city center across from Helsingen Päärautatieasema (Central Station), it’s easily accessible and conveniently connected by a subway metro station within the same building. One of the great lest attractions within its city center and of all its places in-between them too.

It is a bit troublesome for tourists to get a tax refund. After checking out, you have to go to the third floor to get a stamp. There is no obvious sign where the stamp is, and I searched for a long time.

At Helsinki airport my luggage didn’t arrive with my international connecting flight !! When I arrived in city center main railway station I had to shop for emergency clothes and supplies as I didn’t know when my luggage would arrive. Someone outside the train station pointed me to this department store. On the first floor I asked an employee where I can find men’s clothing and she directed me to upper floor. Give that this is Helsinki, I was somewhat prepared for sticker shock ! Let’s just say that compared to US, be prepared to pay 2 or 3x even for simple stuff which I needed for emergency- couple of T shirts, underwear, socks and a sweater. I was able to find everything but it set me back €80 !! The staff was polite and helpful.

UFF Vintage Fredrikinkatu is a second-hand store that focuses on high-quality clothing for both men and women. They offer a wide variety of colors and styles, as well as unbeatable prices. This shop is a great place to find clothes that will look stylish and comfortable, whether you're shopping for yourself or someone you love.
Maybe my favorite thrift shop I visited in Helsinki. All the UFF Vintage locations are great, but the selection at this one was huge and varied. The basement is packed with stuff, and it was really fun to look through. The only downside is there was a line for the fitting rooms (on a weekday afternoon). I didn’t find anything right for me on my visit but I will definitely go back and try my luck here again next time I’m in Helsinki. Pricing for most items was around 9~25€ when I visited.

Cozy vibe, large collection of all kinds of clothes and a very high 'fashion-to-kitsch ratio'. I'm not an expert, but it was immediately clear that the standard is higher here than in most other 2nd-hand stores. Got a pristine-white coat that looks like it cost 150e for 14e; highly recommend.

Iittala is a Finnish home goods store with an upscale flagship store located on Esplanadi in Helsinki. Arabia Store Esplanadi has a similar selection of high-quality home goods, but is located in one of Helsinkis most popular shopping districts. Great service, high quality products with impeccable style. I had an espresso after shopping to escape a rainy day. Thank you Iittala flagship store staff! 6/5!
Pauli S — Google review
I’m honestly shocked by the poor level of service this store offers. It’s almost impressive how unbothered the staff can be , more focused on sharing their weekend plans with each other than acknowledging a customer standing right in front of them. There’s absolutely no sense of welcome. In fact, people walk in and out in seconds, and it’s easy to see why the whole point of going to a store like this is the experience, but here that’s completely missing. You might as well be shopping in a warehouse. At this rate, buying Iittala and Arabia products at Tokmanni doesn’t seem like such a bad idea. Same level of service , that is, none but at least you pay less for it.
A Z — Google review

I stopped in to this shop to order littala porcelain to ship home to myself in California. I went early and the shop staff person who helped me was exceptional. It took time to input my selections into their system and she offered me tea or coffee while I waited. I'd like to say a special thank you to the woman who helped me because the set I was buying was due to go on sale the next day and she volunteered to honor that upcoming sale price. Thanks so much and I look forward to receiving my purchase in the coming weeks.

My all time favourite cafe! Had a quick visit with my younger sister, great food, atmosphere and service once again. Found a lovely summer hat on the second hand -side and finally bought my dream earrings from a Finnish small business called Naku Jewellery (at Stockmann Relove they also keep a changing collection of small businesses’ accessories on sale). The earrings weren’t on display upon our arrival, but since I had seen them earlier, I asked whether they still have them in stock and eventually found them in the back. Amazing service, thank you! <3

Don’t sell your clothes here… (This review is regarding selling at Relove, not the cafe or buying secondhand.) Without any explanation, more than half of my clothes weren’t put up for sale, and no one contacted me about it - no message, nothing. They also put up one of the bags for sale that I brought the clothes in, even though I instructed them not to. They weren’t able to explain why half of my clothes weren’t put up for sale in any meaningful way, but they promised to look into it. Hopefully, they will provide me with some sort of acceptable answer before my (expensive) sales week is over. If this is how it is to sell at Relove, this was my first and last time.

Also be careful with the post options. I am sure I chose to be sent directly to my friends home, but she had to go and pick it up from the grocery store. Anyway a very expensive small detail. Hakaniemen Kauppahalli is a traditional 6-day food market located in Helsinki, Finland. It offers a wide variety of indoor and outdoor stalls selling fruits, vegetables, fish, meat, cheese, and other local products. Visitors can experience the Finnish food culture by sampling smoked ham, reindeer meat, local cheeses, and Karelian pies. The market hall also features the Urban&Local concept to showcase small businesses.
Hakaniemi Halli is truly a hidden gem in the heart of Helsinki! My visit was an absolute delight, filled with amazing food, unique finds, and a cozy atmosphere that made me feel right at home. First, I indulged in a classic Finnish laskiaispulla—a soft, fluffy bun filled with whipped cream and almond paste, topped with a dusting of powdered sugar. Paired with a crispy and nutty pistachio baklava, it was a match made in heaven! To wash it down, I grabbed a bottle of Laitilan O.Pom, a refreshing and slightly tangy fruit soda that perfectly complemented my sweet treats. The fresh produce section was equally impressive! I picked up some organic vegetables in a charming eco-friendly bag, a testament to Hakaniemi Halli’s commitment to quality and sustainability. The selection was fantastic, with colorful, fresh greens and locally sourced goods. One of the highlights of my visit was discovering the Uusix shop, a treasure trove of handmade and upcycled Finnish crafts. I found a beautifully designed wooden spoon, elegantly wrapped, that showcases the craftsmanship and creativity of Finnish artisans. Overall, Hakaniemi Halli exceeded all expectations! The combination of delicious food, fresh produce, and unique handmade products makes it a must-visit spot in Helsinki. Whether you’re looking for a tasty treat, quality groceries, or a one-of-a-kind souvenir, this market hall has it all. I can’t wait to go back!

Recently renovated, it strikes the perfect balance between local charm and light tourism, without feeling commercial. The ground floor is filled with beautifully presented food and craft stalls – fresh produce, fish, spices, coffee, design items. A cosy restaurant sits upstairs, but you’ll also find plenty of snacks and sweet treats scattered throughout. Warm atmosphere, friendly vendors, and a great place to enjoy a taste of everyday Helsinki with style.

Beautiful market hall that sells products ranging from fresh fruit and canned goods to handmade bags and leather products. It's conveniently split between two entire floors of a large building. There's also a small flower shop offering a great variety of plants and flowers. The first floor also has a cafe and several shops that sell freshly-made food. There's plenty of variety making it a good choice for people who are undecided. The top floor has various shops that sell handmade items, including soap bars, bags, and souvenirs.

If you wanna feel something about the traditional market hall atmosphere in Helsinki, you have to go to Hakaniemi. Compared to Old Market Hall close to Market Square, Market Hall in Hakaniemi has kept at least something of the old market hall culture. There are store which sell fresh vegetables, fish, meat... and handicrafts, souveniers etc.; and there are some small restaurants to eat and coffee shops to enjoy. Nice place to visit.

Was a miss for me in terms of selection as i was hopeful w more ahndmade or souvenir options. U could get choco/ coffee/ soup/ salad/ bread/ pastries and cheese. And do try the cheeses!

I visited this place on September 27, 2025. It's a really lovely open-air market, but I had a bad experience with this "TRADITIONAL ORIENTAL PASTRIES" shop. The man in the photo charged me €23.92 for just two pieces of baklava. Unfortunately, I was ripped off on my first day in Helsinki.
Victor A — Google review
2 floors, groceries on ground, arts crafts and textiles on second floor. Some cafes with very short menus but reasonably priced. The building is clean and very pretty. Unless you are buying ingredients to cook not sure it's really worth the effort to go to this as it is very small and you will finish it in less then 30 minutes. There is probably 40 stands on each floor. It's nice but really not worth detouring for this.

Kauppatori is a year-round harborside market in Helsinki, offering a vibrant mix of food stalls, handicrafts, and a heated cafe tent during the winter. It provides an authentic Helsinki experience away from tourist crowds. The market square specializes in seasonal Finnish foodstuffs and souvenirs, located on the seafront at the northern end of Etelasatama harbor.
Nice little market at Helsinki - Food prices are about 12 to 20+ Euros. The food was great but the portion is huge for solo traveller. Would recommend to get one for sharing instead. Be careful of the seagulls because they are everywhere so just finish your food in the tent and you should be good.

Nice place! Recommend for a tourist. I saw this place from the HOP ON HOP OFF bus and I knew I had to come. Had some salmon soup and hot chocolate. Perfect for the weather! There’s also fruits , crepes and hot dogs sold here!

A must-visit spot in Helsinki! There’s an amazing variety of food — make sure to try the salmon soup and the reindeer sausage, they were incredible! Nearby, you’ll also find plenty of souvenirs and unique local items to explore.
Ryan K — Google review
Kauppatori was the only stop on the hop-on hop-off bus tour that truly felt worth hopping off 😄. Later realized it’s just a short 500m walk from Senate Square! The market is lively even on Mondays, with friendly vendors offering tastings of fresh fish and local food 🐟🍓. A happening place full of energy, and you can also catch the ferry to Suomenlinna Fortress 🚤 from here. Definitely worth a visit in Helsinki 🇫🇮!
YG T — Google review
Beautiful harbour market which is a mixture of street foods, fresh fruit, ice cream and craft stalls. You can catch a ferry to the local zoo from the harbour and also take sightseeing cruises which are very informative. Whilst at the harbour why not visit the indoor market where you can eat local delicacies or just watch the world pass by. Further along the harbour is the Helsinki wheel which costs around 25 euros a beautiful way to see the city from high up.

Beautiful market place. You can buy souvenirs, eat amazing food and try their traditional cuisine. Ice cream is also served. Jewelers with aurora borealis stone can be purchased too.

Open air food stands and souvenir stands. Cash and cards are accepted. Local handcrafts are being sold, like fur, decorations and fresh vegetables and fruit. Fresh local fast food made at the spot, with seating area available.

Mall of Tripla, located in Helsinki, is a contemporary shopping destination offering an extensive range of experiences. With around 250 shops and over seventy cafes and restaurants, it provides a diverse selection for visitors of all ages. The mall features various amenities such as a surf simulator, Finnish music museum, movie theater, and multiple supermarkets including Prisma, Lidl, K Supermarket, and Alepa. Additionally, it offers convenient access to the train station.
I recently visited Mall of Tripla in Pasila, and I was truly impressed! The brand selection is fantastic—so many great options under one roof. Plus, the location is super convenient, right above the Pasila station. A perfect spot for shopping and spending a relaxed day.
Nitin C — Google review
Visited Finland and often times came here for groceries and shopping. Mall is open almost all the time as it is a hub for trains. Everything is well kept and easy to navigate. Some R Kioski are open late, but almost everything closes late at night so it is just a safe place to hang out while waiting for trains
John D — Google review
First time I visited here. What a great surprise. Excellent international food available for a reasonable price. All the shops I can think of plus many others. Clean nice place. Planned to go again with good time
Fuen G — Google review
Mall of Tripla is a big, modern mall with loads of shops, places to eat, and things to do. It’s bright, clean, and easy to get around. Great spot for shopping, grabbing food, or catching a movie – plus it’s right by the train station, so super easy to reach.
Nicolai N — Google review
Mall of Tripla is perhaps Helsinki’s most sleek and modern retail destination, a place that feels more like a vibrant urban hub than just a shopping center. The architecture is fresh, bright, and cleverly designed, offering an experience that balances convenience with a touch of sophistication. What sets Tripla apart is its tenant mix—diverse enough to rival, and in many ways surpass, other major malls in and around the capital. From international fashion and lifestyle brands to local gems and a well-curated dining scene, it manages to appeal to both serious shoppers and casual browsers alike. For me, it has become my favorite go-to mall in Helsinki, especially on weekends. Whether it’s purposeful shopping, a leisurely round of window browsing, or simply grabbing a bite to eat, Tripla consistently delivers a pleasant experience. Another major advantage is its accessibility. Located in Pasila, it’s literally one quick train stop away from Helsinki Central Station, making it one of the most conveniently situated malls in the city. Easy to reach, enjoyable to explore, and surprisingly versatile—Tripla is a modern Helsinki landmark in its own right.
Its L — Google review
A perfect shopping center right at the heart of transport connections you can get anywhere from here. It has all the stores and services you could need, even several 24/7 shops. Easy to navigate with clear signs. At night you may see some homelessness, but security keeps things safe.
Tommi — Google review
I have visited many very big malls. Thus Mall of Tripla didn't feel so big at all even though it is advertised as the largest shopping center in the Nordics. Mall of Tripla seems rather disorganized, confusing, something useless extra there where one normally changes trains. Something positive: There are all three big food stores in Mall of Tripla, Prisma, K-Supermarket and Lidl, even at the same floor.
Hannu T — Google review
This is the second stop after arriving from the central train station, which is a transportation hub for many areas. It's a really great place! You can shop, find pharmacies, very affordable supermarkets, very luxurious restaurants, very cheap second-hand clothing stores, and some interesting organizations that support immigrants. This train station is really convenient for everyone.

Department store
Stockmann is a department store that offers a unique shopping experience. It features the FishMarket, where you can enjoy daily choices like salmon soup, fish sandwiches, and salads at competitive prices. The store in Espoo, Stockmann Ainoa, stands out for its diverse and high-quality selection of top-tier brands that are hard to find elsewhere. While it may be pricier, the quality justifies the cost.
Well known Stockman now offers wide range of discount items from popular brands. A lot of space, professional staff, high quality... Clearly above average Finnish shops.
Alexander S — Google review
I give the lowest rating because of the terrible work of the seller. I am 8 months pregnant and I have a lot of clothes to try on. None of the Stockmann salespeople helped me take the clothes to the sizing room. A few vendors just stood around and chatted. Stockmann sellers should help buyers. They lose their jobs, they lose money. This Stockmann store has a very terrible attitude towards customers. I won't go shopping here.
Vita B — Google review
Wheelchair accessible. A small yet proper cafe on site. Extremely clean bathrooms. Knowledge, polite staff. Maybe a place to shop for gifts, but it's not possible to go there weekly. Unique options, actually, which is nice to see, but for a price. €165.00 for a pair of basic leather gloves? C'mon now! Stockmann doesn't even register on my personal map anymore, it's far too expensive for a family with children. We don't get anything marketed to us from Stockmann either. The clientele seem to be either non-Finnish, corporate - homogeneous childless wonders, or zombie grandmothers trying to quickly spend what remains of their dearly departed widow's small fortune. Stockmann seems to be killing itself this way too, because neither of those two demographics are the Future of Finland. It's a glamorous, sad-but-gay suicidal business model. – But maybe just let my family and me eat cake.
Ezekiel B — Google review
Lots of choices but coming with a price tag. Outside and sometime including branded products, you can find a lot of similar items cheaper in other stores.
Alex — Google review
As a regular at Stockmann Ainoa, I'm always impressed by its diverse and high-quality selection. This three-story gem is the only Stockmann in Espoo, offering an array of top-tier brands that are hard to find elsewhere. Yes, it can be a bit pricier, but the quality justifies it. The staff are super helpful and the in-store café offers a cozy break spot. So, for those willing to spend a bit more for quality and variety, Stockmann Ainoa is the place to go. A unique shopping experience indeed!
Kaveh — Google review
The store is small compares to the one in Helsinki on a new mall. The place delivers but don't expect the variety of the bigger one. A little confusing access to get in and out from the mall to the metro station in Tapiola
Ana G — Google review
Some of the old glory is there and some new. The new is a bit crammed with smaller space. The staff does their best. Usually you can get what you want here, sometimes after a short wait when the goods are ordered.

The Moomin Shop Lasipalatsi is a must-visit for fans of the beloved Finnish characters, offering a wide range of Moomin souvenirs such as figures, phone charms, books, stuffed animals, and key rings. With locations in Helsinki-Vantaa airport and the central Forum shopping center, this shop is easily recognizable by the Moomintroll outside. Visitors can find unique Moomin gift items and collectibles not found elsewhere in Finland.
Cute, nostalgic little shop. This shop is a must for when you are in Helsinki, Finland. The cashier was so nice and friendly
Ameerah A — Google review
Such a delight of a shop full of lots of gems for any moomin lover! Unsurprisingly this shop is just a little bit pricey but there’s still nice treats for most budgets. Also unsurprisingly Newt spent a ridiculous amount of money here. In terms of accessibility, both entrances have a couple of steps down into the shop, and because of the store being laid out kinda cosy and boutique-style it can feel really rather busy as soon as there’s only ten other people in the shop.
Colin L — Google review
Another Moomin shop in Helsinki (2 in the city) with pretty nice gifts and souvenirs, especially if you're a fan. Pretty sure the 2 shops carry the same stuff but I liked that they give you a gift if you made a purchase from the 2 stores. Place is quite narrow and with many tourists visiting, it's recommended that you enter light (ie without luggage or bags or strollers). Otherwise there's also a store in Helsinki Airport on the airside in case you missed something.
Benjamin L — Google review
This is a cute little and nicely decorated moomin store, quite centrally located and easy to find. The selection is not small, but to me the other moomin store in Helsinki city seemed to have a bit more merchandise. Nonetheless I really liked the atmosphere of this store and the staff was friendly and answered all my questions.
J R — Google review
It is not a huge shop, or the largest in Helsinki, but it has a great choice of gadgets &Co. The staff is welcoming and helpful. The location is great!
Olga S — Google review
Small Moomin store with a lot of items that are made available. Despite I am quite on a picky side I was able to find t least 1 item which I brought it home with me (snack related as I am quite a foodie person). Fun facts: there are moonin store and cafe in airport for those people who have a stop over at the Helsinki airport but can’t go outside to visit this store. I gave 3 as it was ok 👌🏼 (I am definitely excited for the store as many Japanese people including myself goes to this store fue to childhood memory). But I felt as something was missing but I do know they did their best to fit in all for small store. The staff was very friendly towards everyone.

Not safe for babies! I love Moomin, but I’m really disappointed. I bought a baby bottle for €16, and after the first sterilizing it shrunk and deformed! A baby bottle should handle heat — this one didn’t. Feels like cheap material from China. Parents, don’t buy this for your babies! I’ve also seen that many others have complained about the same problem.

There's a ferry connection to Suomenlinna Fortress island and zoo from the Market Square.

Not the most special square in town. What makes it cute, and unique to others, is the little wine bar in the shades, and the ”Kahvi Siskot” big tent who organizes different kinds of live programs on weekends around the year.
Nicolas D — Google review
Amazing place with lots of variety in food, vegetables, meats and other kind of things. Everything is very expensive. You can buy these things at half rate at supermarket but I do understand that the quality is definitely high end, fresh produce. I bought backlava which was £2 a piece and cookies were for £2.50 per piece. 🙈

Worth to visit! In my opinion, this is the best second hand store in Helsinki. Extra points from perfect customer service and the ease feeling. Eez. I bought a selling spot: Do it myself. Why I always have to try to do all by myself? Even though I did it myself, I got help as I needed it and little more: They gave me vaporizer to get wrinkles off from the clothes, served a cup of warm coffee and made it easy to start selling my almost new clothes. Sold first shirt after 30 seconds. Boss. Did some shopping as well and found a lot of nice treasures! Yes! Was I lucky to find a lot of treasures this time? Maybe. Does people in Kallio know the fashion? Maybe. Am I getting rich from recycling? Maybe. Would I go again? Definately. Few tips: -Don't bring clothes that are in bad shape -Wash your clothes and iron them. (Pro tip, sell better) -Don't put price too low, but not too high. You sell if you know the value. -Come open minded

Esplanadi Park, established in 1812, is a picturesque green space with tree-lined avenues and a stage for live music performances. Designed by Carl Ludvig Engel, the park features sculptures, flowerbeds, and a vibrant atmosphere with ice cream vendors, locals relaxing on the grass, buskers, and market-style stalls during warmer months. It is also home to Kappeli, one of Helsinki's oldest restaurants serving classic Finnish cuisine.
Clean park with lots of people just relaxing or taking a break from work. There’s a nice open area where everyone can gather to enjoy a concert (Depends on the day of the week as well). There are many seagulls here so you might not want to bring food.
Yingying — Google review
Big and beautiful park. One of the most beautiful places to walk in Helsinki and is incredibly central. You can go nearly anywhere from this park and Biennial pieces can be seen here. The history of the park could be found in the pictures i provided which is pretty interesting.

Central Boulevard park with some local artists being featured and some live performances. There are plenty of ice cream stands lining the boulevard as you walk through and it is very scenic with many green plants. Excellent when it is nice out. Still pretty good when it is not.

A lovely experience. Sit and watch, listen to live music, hear Helsinki around you, vibrant and full of life. A beautiful city park.

Our group of 10 strolled through this park, entertainment venue, and sculpture collection twice. The greenery is great for breathing fresh air, sitting in the benches or reading the history of the park. I enjoyed the statues

Located in the heart of Helsinki, this area is surrounded by plenty of shops and restaurants. You can visit Stockmann, a large nearby mall, or stop by Starbucks or the Moomin Shop. There’s also an Arabica store where you can find some cute Moomin-themed items. A great place to explore and enjoy the city’s atmosphere!

Esplanade Park is a very popular small park in the city centre of Helsinki. At the other end of the park there is famous Swedish Theater with its restaurants, and at the other end there is even more famous restaurant Kappeli. On a beautiful summer day, Esplanade Park is full of people sitting there, eating ice cream or drinking a beer or a cola and enjoying Finland's all too short summer.
Hannu T — Google review
Esplanadi is a lovely spot right in the heart of Tampere. I really enjoyed the atmosphere, as it is clean, well kept, and full of life during the summer months. There is a good balance between green space and places to sit and relax, which makes it ideal for a coffee break or simply watching people go by. The location is perfect too, with shops nearby and close to the main attractions. I give it 4 stars mainly because although it is beautiful, it can become quite crowded during the busiest hours, which slightly affects the peaceful vibe. Still, it is definitely worth a visit if you are in the city.

The architecture of the building is striking, with a spacious and bright interior that attracts many visitors even on weekdays.
Very nice place to go with family or friends.. Even a date. Theres plenty of different food restaurants to choose, Always easy to find parking and overall clean and looking nice.

I love shopping here! They have almost everything, from clothing stores and makeup shops to supermarkets like Tokmanni, Clas Ohlson, and Søstrene Grene, plus many others. It’s a convenient place to visit, even just for a stroll, though the area is a bit downhill. However, there aren’t many restaurant options yet—hopefully, they’ll expand the dining section in the future. That would make the experience even better!

I really love this place, but i think literally every teen would love a gina tricot in here. But i live that there are so many restaurants to choose from, and also its really great that there is a new nike store and glowstation. And also the sushi restaurants are have really delicious food. Especially hanko sushi!

Good amount of stores in one location. Compact layout makes it easy to navigate. Easily accessible via buses and train. Nice courtyard with lively events. Library is very close. One star deduction for low lighting in the parking area. Parts of the parkade seem hazardous. Entering and leaving is not so smooth eaither.I would leave the car at home.

Many stores have shut down, and the place is starting to feel like a dead mall. Just a few years ago, there were plenty of shops, but compared to now, it’s a big difference. Honestly, it’s better to visit other malls like Itis or Iso Omena instead.

Ravintola Central is a delightful dining spot that truly embodies the essence of Finnish cuisine while also offering a variety of continental dishes, including pizza. Located slightly away from the hustle and bustle of the city center, this restaurant is well worth the visit. The welcoming atmosphere and friendly staff, fluent in English, make it easy to explore traditional Finnish flavors.
Great restaurant with an awesome team. The food is always good, no matter what you try. We were six people with different tastes and everyone was really excited - no matter if it was veggie, meat or fish. The whole team is always trying to give you the best time and service and the ambience is very cozy. I will comeback for sure. Kiitos paljon kaikille.🫶

Ordered salmon soup, pizza, and goat cheese salad. The soup was good but a little on the fishier side. The pizza was decent, but wouldn’t order again. The salad was good; fresh, hearty veggies and a great piece of bread. The service was good, and the atmosphere was pleasant and pretty casual.
Chelsea B — Google review
Nice place. Always liked it as there is a nice atmosphere inside. Had the ribs which were a summer special. Tender and flavourful. Not so sure about the chimichurri sauce but overall, a taste dish. Also order the salmon soup. Flavourful and rich. And the vendace or “muikku” which was good.
Linda D — Google review
Portions are small and the meat portions are pricey for their size. The meals themselves taste lovely. The Salmon soup is fantastic and among the best I’ve tried in Helsinki, however the small portion is absolutely miniscule and larger portion is adequate-ish in size, perhaps if you’re just a little hungry then it’s satisfying. However the starter portion, especially considering the price, is pathetically small. The restaurant itself is lovely and has beautiful architecture, clearly renovated while maintaining its old and authentic decor.
Nicolas L — Google review
The restaurant is located in a charming area close to the sea. The waiting straff is friendly and the service is excellent! Food and drinks was great and the atmosphere is very inviting. The place was buzzing even during a week night.
John D — Google review
The restaurant is rich in history and location couldn’t be any more golden. However the foods really don’t live up to their legacy. We expected at least some good old Finnish classics but to say our meal was underwhelming is an understatement. Pizza is soaked in ketchup and prickle peppers. Grilled salmon with summer vegs is alright but the salmon was too dry and under seasoned. Food’s quality in no way would match the premium price tag.
Minh L — Google review
Good, traditional food for reasonable price - comes with friendly service. The place is a classic in Ullanlinna.

Lokal Gallery is a trendy art gallery and concept store that showcases a mix of established and emerging Finnish designers. The gallery offers a wide range of products including ceramics, jewelry, textiles, prints, and wooden items such as a clutch bag made from woven birch. Visitors can also enjoy the coffee shop which serves local ice creams in the summer. The gallery is known for its quality souvenirs and timeless designs, making it an ideal destination for those interested in Scandinavian art and design.

Nice gallery with amazing art and friendly people ♥️ if you want to know about local artists, you need to check out here!
Yumiko K — Google review
I was looking forward to my visit to Lokal, for I had seen nice pictures of the store online. One piece of advice: save your money and your time! The store is full of overpriced items. The items are also so designerly to the point of unusable! Do you really need a tiny little ceramic spoon for 30e to match your tiny little ceramic salt cup with a tiny lid? Even if they are sustainably made, they are simply wasteful! It simply does not live up to the hype. There is no true original craft here – only the same old tired established names. You will find much more originality in the average Stockholm design gallery. The space is nice, but honestly not special by Helsinki standards. My one star review stems from the overprices. You can find some of the same items for significantly cheaper (may I add!) in neighbouring boutiques. They seem to take advantage of their popularity and swindle people out of their money for rather wasteful items.
Tom J — Google review

This is an awesome shop. They have excellent coffee, the staff are very friendly and know a lot about their product, and they have exceptional local things. They have ceramics and art right at the intersection of beautiful and cool. We bought some handmade bowls and a cup, and we love them. A bit pricey, but not as crazy as some other design shops, and worth it because everything is hand made. 10/10. Would recommend.
Julia S — Google review
A highlight of my weekend in Helsinki. The gallery and pieces are beautiful, but what really makes it special are the people who run Lokal. They were so kind when I visited, sharing the background of the pieces when I asked and also recommendations for other features of the city. I bought a cup while there, and upon further reflection, wanted to get a second one. However, I couldn't visit in person and it wasn't on their website. Within a day of emailing them, they had sorted out a way for me to buy the second cup I remembered and had shipped it! Incredible style and a friendly, efficient business! Thank you!

Every year we visit, the outlet store gets busier as people from all around the world begin to appreciate and recognize the great design that is Marimekko. Although my experience is a bit old by now, 2 years ago, I had bought a phone with 500 memory, but ended up with only 250. I noticed a bit late, about a week or week and a half after purchase. I gave Verkkokauppa proof they gave me a phone with less memory. They offered to replace it, but I had already put personal info in it by that time. Why not edit the payment plan to reflect the actual product? Who would want to send in their brand new phone with photos and personal info already in it? Come on. If you buy a phone from here, check immediately that you've got the right one. I had to pay more for something that wasn't even my fault. Not cool. Why they didn't offer to adjust my payments, I don't know, but I do know they could, and should've done that. Maybe I was an exceptional case, but be mindful when making a purchase.

Whilst not necessarily a fault of the mall itself, I walked through here doing some shopping and decided to visit the Men's Bathroom. Whilst using the urinals, I was approached from behind by an Uber Eats delivery rider (he had the Uber Eats bag on his back) who threatened me to hand over my wallet. I said no and he held his hand to his back pocket, repeated his threat more menacingly. Luckily I'm a good runner so just I ran out. He followed me into the main part of the mall but given so many people were about he just walked off. The mall itself is nice, but this was a rather unnerving experience to say the least! I did not report it at the time but posting here so others can be mindful.

With a population of over 23,000 residents, Lauttasaari is Finland's second largest island by population.
A great choice for anyone who wants to enjoy a long walk with beautiful scenery along the way.

Amazing place to getaway from the city life. Calm and refreshing place to relax on even weekend. You can even grill on some spots and enjoy sunbathing. Great beach sports and cafes around the corner.

I for one lived here & I can say from experience this place, it’s beautiful in every single season.

good area not over crowded in summer

A lovely place for nice walks or a picnic trip at the sea. Just around 10 minutes away from the city center of Helsinki by the metro. Definitely worth a day trip!

Amazing nature and calm place to find time fore yourself
Hanna T — Google review
Nice area of Helsinki where to walk along the seaside or have a drink next to a Marina during summer time. Lot of people are jogging next to modern villas or walking their dogs, this next to the sea creates a nice atmosphere. Pay attention to storms of mosquitos!!

My dog thinks this place is the best. We come here every now and then, staff is very polite and offer snacks for the visiting pups. Great selection of beverages, wine and cocktails.
Maria S — Google review
Fantastic beers, welcoming vibes and friendly staff. Up to 8% ABV now allowed for takeaway thanks to changes in Finnish legislation. Hung out here for several hours and spoiled my dinner. 10/10

Lots of cans but don't overlook the excellent beers on tap. Cool place, nice folks that work there.

Souvenir store
Kankurin Tupa is a must-visit destination in the home country of Santa Claus, offering a unique and traditional selection of Christmas gifts and decorations. This expansive souvenir shop, with additional locations in central Helsinki and at the airport, features a year-round Christmas store located in its basement. The shop boasts an array of products including magnets, mugs, linen, and even reindeer pelts. Visitors can also find clothes, design goods, and an extensive range of souvenirs.
If you want a souvenir shop with local items and Christmas decoration, this two level shop can satisfy your needs
Cheung Z — Google review
A wide selection of souvenirs as well as clothes and design goods. There is a Christmas shop in the basement opened all year. Some items seems overpriced and some items cannot be returned.
Jona I — Google review
small souvenir shop in the heart of Helsinki. Expensive and good quality products. But if you walk towards Skywheel Helsinki, You'll find many more souvenir shops in cheap price. This one is also good. Gives you an experience.
Kazi L — Google review
Very well designed and tasteful souvenirs, much better than the little kiosks stuffed with cheap stuff that you find everywhere. We could have spent a lot more here!
Arthur R — Google review
I was drawn into this shop by a large selection of Finnish souvenirs, seemingly in nice quality as pictures below. As they say, a picture would worth a thousand words.
James H — Google review
I’m surprised the staff in this store is exceptionally rude and uncompromising. They placed a stand with expensive fragile ceramics and glass crafts in front of the entrance which is most of the time crowded with people to the extent that it gets tremendously hard to cross this part of the space without touching the shelves with your clothes. While visiting the store my father accidentally pushed a cup on the floor. Instead of offering a compromisable solution they informed us that we have to pay the price in full (with their margin) which I think at very least is unfair to do, but also shows how problematic the policies of the store are. I must also draw to your attention that on the cashier desk they display a sign stating you can’t return any purchased items from the store back. I'll leave it up to you to decide if you should shop for souvenirs there. No competent shop should function like that.
Kirill — Google review
The best souvenir shop in Helsinki. Lots of cute and high quality items.
Ina K — Google review
Great shop, wide selection of souvenirs as well as clothes, design goods and of course Christmas shop. Note if travelling via the port that they have a duty free outlet that's a little cheaper and also stocks some larger sizes.

Salakauppa is a Finnish design studio founded by Aamu Song and Johan Ollin, known for crafting quirky collectibles and gifts. The duo has traveled globally to meet traditional craftsmen and explore local folklore, inspiring their unique creations. Currently, the Design Museum Helsinki is hosting an exhibition dedicated to their work. The store offers a charming selection of handmade items with attention to local production.
Beautiful shop with beautiful artisan crafts made in different countries (Russia, Mexico, Finland and Japan) but with a finish design twist. The objets are very well thought of, painstakingly made and beautifully presented. Nice story behind.
Carlos O — Google review
If you are in a market for something unique, quirky, unexpected and just all around fun -- no need to look further, you have found the secret store (that is not too much of a secret to anyone observant enough passing by this charming piece of heaven on the Earth). Salakauppa is a joint project of Aamu and her partner, both designers with an extraordinary eye for everything that makes life wonderful! While the hours are occasionally limited (however would we be able to keep a part of the mystery of a secret, right?), you want to stop to drool over all the wonderful things even if just looking in through the windows. You will not regret making time for this jewel of Helsinki's design scene.
Sam R — Google review
A unique experience with beautifully crafted pieces to treasure for years to come. Wishing salakauppa team all the best and many more years of creating magical objects and inspiring us all…. 🤩
