Central Samui, the largest shopping complex in Chaweng, is a must-visit destination for shopaholics. Divided into four sections - Fisherman Village, Bird Cage, Chaweng Port, and Beach Town Market - it offers a wide range of shopping options from clothing and accessories to international and Thai brands. The beautifully designed complex also features a refreshing terrace garden where you can relax after your shopping spree.

🛍️ Good Mall with a Bit of Everything
A solid mall with something for everyone. You’ll find currency exchange booths everywhere, which is super convenient. There’s a mix of high-end and affordable shops, so whether you’re browsing or bargain-hunting, you’ll likely score some good finds.
The mall also has a nice selection of restaurants and bars, and even a few market-style shops that add a local touch. Great spot to cool down, shop, and grab a bite—all in one place.
Such a great discovery. Loads of shops for pretty much anything you could want and they have a market open at Knight and Day right outside.
We bought some great food Both to take home and eat right there and it was a really fun experience.
We went on a day that it was raining and I definitely exceeded my expectations. There is parking underneath the shopping centre for Free in a huge car car park complex so if it’s raining, you don’t need to get wet.
Nice but relatively small mall. More upmarket and formal than other malls in this area, very near Chaweng beach. Some nice bigger restaurants and shops and a good safe vibe. There is a mini market inside too with various stalls and nice bathrooms.

There are few playgrounds for kids and planty shops of all sorts,from restaurants to electronics.

Very good mall to visit, at first it appears small, but actually it's really gigantic, when step inside you realize that is has more and more to go and even it is also connecting to the night market at the end, so it can actually become a full day of exploring all different shops and great restaurants, it is also very convenvient with kids at all ages as there are many playground onsite too.

The souvenirs at the night market are a bit of a tourist trap but the food is absolutely top-notch and very affordable. We just wanted to keep eating, everything was so good.

This continues to be the best night market in Samui. There’s an incredible variety of food stalls offering everything from authentic Thai dishes to international favourites. We’re always drawn to the banana cakes, they’re absolutely delicious and this time we also loved the chicken wraps from the vendor next to the central seating area. Any of the Pad Thai stalls are a safe bet too. We skipped the sushi and cocktails due to past experiences, but plenty of other visitors seemed to be enjoying them.
We took some time to sit in the centre and enjoy the beatboxer’s performance, he’s genuinely talented and well worth giving a small tip.
After eating, we wandered around the market stalls. There’s something for everyone, and the sellers are generally open to friendly price negotiations, as long as you’re polite. We picked up a bag last night, and the bargaining was done respectfully, leaving both sides happy.

Excellent market on 3 nights a week. A great mix of everything from street food stalls to clothes and trinkets. Live music and cocktails and a great atmosphere make a great night out. Plenty of taxis outside if you are not staying in the area. Plus a large car park for those with car or moped.

Chaweng Night Market is a bustling food market in Koh Samui, offering a wide variety of delectable dishes at affordable prices. A big night market with a lot of different fresh food and also some clothes. It was not crowded and they also have some seating areas where you can sit and eat the food. Will defnitely come back. Open from 4pm to 10pm

Nice market near chaweng beach in the hub of Koh Samui. Big variety of stalls, not as cheap as Bangkok but still really good value and negotiable. Good variety of items and friendly people and food.
It was absolutely insane at this night market. There were so many people, so much traffic and the taxi mafia didn’t let grabs pickup there so getting home was interesting - we had to get out of the no grab zone because of this. This night market was on both sides of the street and had so much food and souvenirs. We got lo mein for 80 baht from a guy who was cooking it up fresh which was our criteria for getting pad Thai. It was pretty good but it wasn’t pad Thai since the noodles were wrong. We also got chicken on a stick for 30 baht and we got 5 chicken dumplings from the lady next to her for 50 baht. We negotiated a suitcase just to see what the pricing would be like since mine was damaged on the way over here. Got them down from 2,000 to 1,500 baht for a big one so wasn’t bad.
A fairly big night market in Koh Samui. You can find all your favourite Thai dishes here such as Tom Yam, Pad Thai and Som Tam. What’s really cool is that there’s quite a few Halal stalls as well! We had a really nice dinner here. I just wished they had more desserts options such as coconut ice cream and the red ruby chestnut dessert.
The Chaweng nightmarket is across the street from Central Samui. It is separate from the Central Samui nightmarket. Chaweng is only open from Thurs to Sat. Beware the police station is right next to here. Sometimes they will give out tickets for not wearing helmet. Sometimes they will throw a lock on your motorbike if you park in the restricted area (if the curb has red stripes). Delicious food and some clothing/jewelry/souvenir vendors.
Night market food choices were really good...but be Careful where you park. Opposite the night market many motorbikes were locked by police 500thb fine each to unchain your bike. No signs no warnings. Very Easy money for police.

Large beach of several kilometers where it is good to walk. The color of the water changes according to the weather. Beware the sea is sometimes very rough with a lot of waves.
Lots of massage tent all along and many bars and restaurants to enjoy the view.
We weren’t sure whether to bother with this beach initially, a slight concern that it might be crazy busy and full of rubbish etc… however I’m glad we did because it’s one of the most beautiful beaches on Samui.
Sand colour on any beach can appear to change from white to yellow depending on the sun/conditions, but the few days we spent here it was white sand and calm blue waters.
Theres loads to do with bars, restaurants and sunbeds to rent. Plus jet skis etc for those that are interested. It wasn’t too busy in June and there was no hassle from beach sellers. The planes coming in and out of Samui Airport made for an interesting back drop too.

Nice beach with clean water and clean sands. Some areas have shallow water so we did have to walk around it and find a good side. Many water sports activities available and some vendors. There are many cafés all around.

Went in October 2025 and it was beautiful. I asked a local on the south side of the island which beach was the best beach and he thought Chaweng for sure. All the beaches are nice though, you can't go wrong.

During my visit to this shopping center, I only used the grocery store and purchased an iPhone cable. The cable can be found on the ground floor in three stores located next to each other. The grocery store is massive, with a wide variety of products, ensuring that everyone can find what they need. Overall, my experience was positive, and I would recommend this place for anyone looking for groceries or tech accessories.
The Wharf as a mall is deserted and dead. However the shopping street along the front is excellent, filled with very nice bars and restaurants and stores.
Deserted! I do admit, it is low season at the moment, but this place almost looks deserted. About 40 units only 5-7 is active.

Lamai Night Market is a vibrant and bustling market located at the northern end of Lamai beach road. It comes alive every night, but the Sunday Night Market is particularly popular. The market offers a wide range of clothing and souvenir options, different from those found in other markets on the island. Visitors can enjoy exploring four lanes filled with street food stalls serving local and international specialties, as well as an array of souvenirs.
A nice night market in Koh Samui. The east side seems to be more fun than the west. You can find lots of food options there and better try sticky rice with mango. For Halal food seekers, there are 3 shops for halal food; shawarma, indian food (biryani, masala, nun bread and many others) and rotti. Bring with you some cash because not all shops offer scan to pay service. However the halal food seems to be a bit expensive compared to night markets in phuket. Apart from that it is a must visit night market worth it. There is a motorbike parking and an exchange office.

Lamai Night Market was a highlight of my time on Koh Samui. The atmosphere is relaxed yet lively, with a great mix of locals and tourists. The food options were amazing — from fresh seafood and grilled meats to Thai classics like pad Thai and mango sticky rice. Prices were fair, and everything I tried tasted fantastic.
There’s also a fun variety of stalls with clothes, souvenirs, and handmade goods, plus some live music and entertainment that gave the whole place a great vibe. It felt less commercial than other markets, which made the experience feel more local and authentic.
Super easy to get to, and perfect after a beach day. I highly recommend stopping by if you’re in the area — come hungry!
We loved this night market!!! It wasn’t too crowded and had lots of food options plus live music. It wasn’t the biggest market but it had everything you needed. We also got the Earth Witness Mudra Buddha for 200 baht (down from 450 baht). For food/drink, we got a mango smoothie and passionfruit/mango smoothies for 60 baht each. We also got our first mango sticky rice, fresh shrimp skewers and a chicken skewer. The shrimp and chicken were delicious but I did not like the mango sticky rice. It had a very salty flavor.
I went there in the evening during low season, but I was surprised because it was crowded and there were hardly any tables available. The food here is varied.
The papaya salad with fermented fish is delicious, and the barbecue is also very tasty.
They have shop that sells counterfeit brand name products is quite expensive.
The Lamai night market was a pretty big miss for me. If you want Thai, there is a row of Thai places on the left hand side of the market. The rest of the vendors are a hodgepodge of international cuisine. Many items are precooked and look bad. We found the seafood place decent as they actually cooked to order. There are as also a pad gra pow place that looked good as well. We also enjoyed a samosa but the wrapper was more a spring roll wrapper. The mango sticky rice is kind of heavy and the mango not very sweet - felt heavy and we didn’t finish it. If you walk from in town, you have to walk by a row of scantily clad women in “massage” parlors - not ideal with kids walking around. Such is life in Koh Samui.

Well, you have a couple of great beaches and a few great night market on Koh Samui.
We came here on second night and left the place in half an hour cause it wasn’t even close to fun we had night before at Fishermen’s Village night market.
Don’t get me wrong.. food is top notch here as well. But given the options, u would suggest you drive another 20 minutes and go to Fishermen village.

While not considered among the top restaurants on Koh Samui, it's known for its consistent quality in coffee and breakfast or lunch options. Visitors praise the great service and food, with a particular mention of an exceptional waiter named Guy who goes above and beyond for customers.
We loved this place, very chill. The creamy coconut coffee was delicious and we had to come back a second time! All the items in the menu have the calories in case that is useful to you.

Its the best western breakfast in central. The Mango yoghurt drink is just amazing !
I was surprised by the quality of the service at the coffee club. The staff were super friendly and showed us away to get coffee with a promotional voucher by signing up for their app store app. One of the servers called Kwang was very friendly and we got our coffees for only 20 Baht using vouchers. Besides the super crazy new customer savings option, the food was very yummy and the atmosphere was great. There are charging outlets everywhere and it’s easy to sit and relax for a few hours.

The place is okay overall. We got tempted by their most performative drink—the Matcha Dubai Chocolate. It looked spectacular, but honestly, it didn’t taste as good as it looked. My advice: like with Laboubou, it’s more of a “pass by” experience than a must-try.
On the bright side, the Mango Matcha was nice—refreshing and gave a good energy boost.

I ordered salad and it's took them to make it long long time more than 30 minutes. It was morning and the place was empty so I don't understand why it took so long. The salad was fine.
One of the few places on samui with good coffees. Service is good too. WiFi connection is unnecessarily complicated and baked goods are warmed up after ordering without asking, so make sure to let them know if you don’t like extra hot croissants.
Coffee club as always pleases me, delicious food, my favorite dish is Grilled Chicken with Pepper Truffle Gravy Sauce, my friend loves desserts, they are also delicious in this place

What an incredible boutique in the heart of Fisherman’s Village! You can really tell that each item has been carefully and creatively thought out and fabricated. All the materials are natural and healthy for your body. While the price point could be considered “high” I think it’s totally justified as a lot of work has clearly gone into each garment. The clothes are super comfortable and look good on the body! I’m totally obsessed and I will be back.

This cinema is very large and when I visited in the evening it was not crowded at all. Tickets can be purchased either at the counter or at the machines but the machines do not accept cash. The honeymoon seat upgrade is definitely worth the small extra cost as the seats are very comfortable. Everything is very quick and efficient from entering the cinema to sitting down and enjoying the movie. The sound and picture quality in 2D films is excellent and makes the experience very enjoyable. Unfortunately that there are only popcorn options and no fresh nachos available but at least there are many popcorn flavors like salty sweet and cheese... Also a little disappointing that you cannot order more drinks or snacks during the movie. The toilets are clean and well maintained.

Smaller than you think. It occupies space that is a small parking lot by day. It's well organized into a 6 by 4 rows configuration. Well lit, relatively clean & wares are the usual street type, perhaps more expensive than usual. So it's a matter of whether you have the heart to bargain it down. The best thing will be the affordable local food for sale. The fresh corn is amazingly succulent & sweet!

A precious public space, close to Chaweng's main street. It's great for jogging and walking, though the concrete walkway is a tad too ugly and the land along much of the pathway has been flattened for some development of sorts. It would be nice if a lot more trees and bushes were planted along the periphery of the lake to provide shade and keep the area cool. I noticed bird trappers in the area, sadly, trapping spotted doves, and people in the area use the walkway for their scooters, endangering themselves and the joggers/walkers. The Lake is at its best in the evening when a cool breeze makes the whole area pleasant. There are clean, free toilets and an outdoor gym, as well. The lake on the Chaweng side has been beautified with flowering plants and several large trees provide roosting for a variety of birds. Would be great if they make this into a bird sanctuary.

One full lap of the lake is approximately 6.8km.
I would suggest running in at sunrise or late afternoon before dusk or the sun will bake you.

At certain days, there is a night market and on holiday even bigger events.
Lots of parking options for your scooter or car. Red taxi also frequently pass by.
Sadly, no boats or something available. Swimming is out of the question as well. Water is rather murky.

My experience was similar to others who have posted. Flo's mocha was my favourite out of the four cafes I tried on Samui but also the most expensive (on par with PNW prices). Not bitter. No sugar served or needed. Not too hot. Staff were attentive and helpful. I regret only discovering this place on the morning I left Samui as I would have been there every morning.

We have been looking for some nice deco like a fruit bowl and cushion covers for about a week and couldn’t find much elsewhere until we jumped into this nice souvenirs store.
They have 3 stores there, selling cushions, tableware and souvenirs. With various options, I could not decide which to pick.
Glad that we met their best sales lady which is super friendly and demonstrates how to clean up the salad bowls by sharing her own user’s experience. You can tell she’s very passionate about her job, she told us her boss let her to try everything, so she can give the best advice to customer. Which is true and made the customer’s experience so pleasant.
I love how they listed out the pricing label on every items, most of the original price is already lower than the market, also you can enjoy 10% discount once you purchased more than 1000B, no need to bargain.
