Fratellos Riverfront Restaurant is a charming eatery located in a renovated former power plant, offering stunning views of the Fox River. This fine-dining establishment is perfect for a romantic date night, with its delectable selection of seafood, steaks, pasta, sandwiches, and pizzas. The full-service bar boasts an impressive variety of craft beers, wines, and liquor.
Very good restaurant in a beautiful location. Plenty of parking and they have outdoor seating when it is warmer out. One of the get restaurants that still do a free dessert on your birthday. The dessert was a very rich, delicious chocolate cake. Service was very good. Chicken tenders salad was great, fresh and flavorful. The potato bacon soup was excellent. My daughter had the miso salmon which was very flavorful and moist. The burgers, wagyu and the original one were both juicy and perfectly cooked. No one had a bad meal. Large selection of cocktails and if it’s not on the list they will make it anyway. Prices are fair for the quality. We will eat here again.

The first thing I noticed was the absolutely stunning view of the river. I think the atmosphere of the brick building really rounded out the visual experience. However, the real star of the show was the food. The freshness of the food and the care in which it was prepared, made for an unbelievable dinner. The staff was friendly and answered all my questions about the food and the history of the building and the downtown area as a whole. I would not hesitate to go back.

Let's just say.... spectacular!! I am so excited to say they have revamped the menu and all their ducks are in a row, as I have patronized this establishment during covid and was not very impressed, however I can now say that we will be returning!! The chicken tenders are amazing, the entrees were very portion friendly and fresh, and the desserts were incredible. The ambiance is very special, however can be a special occasion or just a nice meal. Pricing was very budget friendly and service was outstanding.

We had an amazing dinner here last night. We were able to make reservations on Open Table which was really nice. We were greatest by the host who kindly gave us a window seat. The beautiful view was of the dam and the raging Fox River. Lots of fish and water fowl to watch. Our server, Morgan was super. He was very knowledgeable and passionate about his job. We had the delicious bread service with their homemade butter. Next we had the Wagyu meatballs and butternut squash soup. Both were excellent. There were so many great menu items to choose from it was difficult to choose. I had the scallops annd corn risotto and my husband had the penne pasta with chicken. Compliments to the chef and a big thank you to the supporting staff! Great job by everyone! Thanks for making it a very enjoyable dinner. We will be back!

I had the pleasure of dining at Fratello’s, and what a delightful surprise it turned out to be! Despite being in a smaller city, this restaurant has clearly earned its spot on the map, especially with its Wine Spectator Award of Excellence for 2025. I wasn’t expecting such an extensive wine list here, but I was truly impressed. It’s a rare find in Appleton to see a restaurant with such a broad selection of wines, and while the markup is noticeable, the quality and variety are well worth it. The Food:
I was treated to a recommendation from Jimmy, a friendly bartender originally from southern Maine (my neck of the woods), who suggested the walleye. The fish came perfectly cooked—sweet, tender, and with a crispy panko crust that added a delightful texture. Paired with a unique twist on a Caesar salad, which was served as individually dressed bib lettuce leaves, it was a refreshing take on a classic dish. The Service:
The service was top-notch. TJ, our bartender, had a big, welcoming presence, providing a touch of elegance that set the tone for the evening. TJ noticed within milliseconds that I needed attention, even without any sort of signal. This is a man who exudes professionalism. Both Jimmy and TJ made the experience feel personal, offering insight into the wine selection and helping make the dining experience even more enjoyable. The Wine List:
I can’t emphasize this enough—the wine list is incredible. The wines are priced with a distinct markup, but I felt it was well worth it to explore some unique bottles I wouldn't normally encounter. It’s not every day you get to enjoy such a variety of wines in a smaller city, and Fratello’s has clearly made an effort to curate a collection that stands out. The Atmosphere:
The restaurant’s setting is another highlight. With a stunning view of the falls and abundant wildlife in sight, the ambiance is peaceful and scenic. The crowd here is interesting, and while the menu is elegant, it draws in a mix of locals and visitors—many of whom, like myself, are likely coming for the impressive wine list. All in all, I was thoroughly impressed with Fratello’s. Whether you're there for the unique wines, the amazing food, the incredible service, or the breathtaking view of the falls, it’s definitely worth a visit. I’ll be back for sure. ***update on 27July*** Delivering a good experience can be a one off opportunity. So tonight, I broke all of my rules and went back to the same place two times in one week. I can state, unequivocally, that Fratello's is a repeatably consistent place that I can highly recommend.
Douglas W — Google review
The atmosphere is amazing. The service was top notch. My steak dinner - ordered medium was served medium rare and cold. The pat of butter didn’t melt. The red pepper side dish was also cold. The Brussel sprouts were super hot. I ate it all without complaint because it was delicious. My son’s walleye was big and meaty with a beautiful panko exterior but there was zero flavor to it aside from the lemon juice. We finished our meal with a tiramisu (yummy) and french roast coffee (give it time to brew). Side note - this restaurant has a separate gluten free menu.

Great views, great food!! Everything I ate/tasted was absolutely delicious. Captain crunch chicken, even more!!

Awesome venue downtown Appleton! They have indoor and outdoor seating - plenty of it - good music - decent prices on beer - a great happy hour from 3-6pm on specific days - and nice service!
Maria T — Google review
The bar is very spacious and clean, great setup with the 2 floors and outdoor patio, ok drink prices, but plays the WORST music. If the DJ stuck to regular music that most bars play, this place might actually get busy on a weekend. The music is always terrible remixes that nobody wants to sing or dance to and its usually WAY too loud to have a conversation with anybody else in the bar. The terrible music is really the only thing holding this place back. Play normal versions of songs not remixed and I guarantee people would stay here to dance and not all flock to Leg Lamp.

07/13/25 - We were offered/delayed due to a group of 40-50 Blizzard's? players. We have had good experiences up to today, but now we will have to decide if it will be worth returning...
Bob D — Google review
It felt like a club, no service really, super dirty, the music was kind of mid, and the crowd is mostly pretentious college kids. This is on a Saturday night. On another night maybe they are better. The food was bar food, not much to write home about. Atmosphere would be if you are looking to dance on a sticky floor and be hit on by dudes with a lot of cologne and basic polos with $50 necklaces then this is the place for you and I'd shift it to a 5/5 would recommend. Anyone else there's just better places.
Alex G — Google review
It's s big place with a dance floor upstairs. The bartender seemed like he hated life but was quick and efficient. Just had drinks so I have nothing to report on their food. Lots of tables, lots of bar seats. Bathrooms were reasonably clean.
Dennis — Google review
I can't say I was super impressed with the service. We sat down and the guy came over and asked us what we wanted to drink I said I will start with water because I was not sure . He brought us our drinks (water for me) beer for my husband. He never came back to serve us. It was not super busy I think a total of 7 people including us. There was a shift change and the guy went right on his phone and never came over. They had a guy singing and that cleared out the bar. Even with an almost empty bar the new bartender never came over we had to politely wave him over for the check so we could leave. Somehow we felt like we were bothering him by being there. This is a picture of the bar with no bartender and you can kinda see him on his phone, left side of this picture if you zoom in.

I went to a convention up in Appleton, and for dinner, I wanted a reasonably priced dinner. I was walking, and I saw the Perch sandwich special for $10. I continued to walk to see if any other place had anything listed, but I saw nothing else. I turned around and walked in to order the best fish sandwich ever. I was very pleased at the price and the amount of food that I got.
Joeleen D — Google review
Wanted to love for an eclectic mix of music upstairs but turns out it wasn’t kitschy or eclectic, it’s just all the DJ has had to work with since the mid-2000s and had zero flexibility in his *solid* lineup. Only a punk@ss, insecure, inexperienced DJ can’t mix new songs into his lineup or take requests. Give me a break. Total deadzone. Get a new DJ. #wisconsinSOwhite

Cocktail bar
Nestled in the heart of Downtown Oshkosh, Deja Vu Martini Lounge is a charming cocktail bar that transports you back to the 1930s with its elegant decor and inviting ambiance. This family-owned gem has been delighting patrons since 2001, offering an impressive array of martinis and other beverages that cater to all tastes.
The bartenders know exactly how to make the drinks and the are very friendly and entertaining. The drink menu is vast and even if you normally don’t drink martinis you will find ones you will like. Great music is played here and they do a great job rotating live bands.
Ben F — Google review
Very nice service, the drink list is literally endless. The monkey bar upstairs is unknown and truly a great find!

Monday night is bring your own vinyl night. Not a lot of traditional martini drinks, but a lot of variation of other things. Good conversations.
John G — Google review
This review is solely about the service our group received at Deja Vu last night. There were five of us, and this was our first stop after dinner, around 8:30pm. We went straight to the bar and waited patiently while the tall, bald male bartender repeatedly served people who arrived after us. When he finally acknowledged us, his attitude was dismissive and visibly irritated. Mind you, we weren't a group of loud 20-somethings - we are all in our 30s and 40s. I asked about a martini on the menu and politely requested that he leave one ingredient out. Instead of a simple “yes” or “no,” he responded with a snarky, condescending remark before making the drink. When it arrived, I could immediately tell he hadn’t rinsed the shaker from the previous drink - the martini tasted strongly of chocolate, which clearly wasn’t one of the ingredients. My sister paid for both our drinks - two $11.50 martinis - but she later told me she was charged $39! Every other person in our group, who paid individually, also noticed their drinks were $2–3 higher than the listed price. By the end of of our stay, we all agreed: the bartender’s rude attitude, carelessness, and overcharging left a worse taste in our mouths than the drink did. For a place that markets itself as a higher-end cocktail bar, this was shockingly unprofessional service and an experience none of us will be repeating.
Teal S — Google review
I have been to Deja Vu so many times and am brought back by the delicious martinis. However, on more than one occasion I have had terrible customer service from the bartenders (with the exception of the super friendly and outgoing woman bartender I’ve seen there from time to time - I think she said she’s been there 15 years or so!) and last night was no different. We had a larger group and the male bartender asked if we were ready to order. I stated “I think we might just need another minute or two for everybody to decide what they want!” And he quite literally rolled his eyes at me and didn’t say a word. I was beside myself. After reading some of these reviews it’s clear there is a huge lack of care for the customer and management is unwilling to make necessary changes. St James in Neenah will be getting my business from now on - delicious drinks and a very friendly staff!
Morgan C — Google review
Really enjoy the Martinis here. So many different combinations. A bit pricy, average cost is over $10 a glass I want to say closer to average of $12-14. But at the same time they are really good. I've gone a few times now over the years and they never disappoint. Sometimes there's a live band, nice seating, nice atmosphere- Nicer than most bars. If you've never had a martini before, this is definitely the place to try one. Also, yes they have other drinks available. My husband got a beer.
Nicole V — Google review
This is a fantastic bar. I came a little before 7PM on a Wednesday which is Funk night. The bartender was quick to let me know that it was still happy hour and I could save some coin if I ordered before 7. I ordered my first martini after reviewing the huge selection they have. Soooo many different martini's to choose from. I selected the Model T for my first one and it was delicious. After 7PM, on Wednesdays they will double stamp your loyalty card. I don't remember the name of the second martini I got but it was also delicious. The staff is fantastic. I was the only one in the bar until a little after 7 and the bartender made small talk. After the bar started got a little more filled I was still checked on regularly. I will definitely start coming here more often. I really want to check out the live band karaoke on Tuesday nights. If you want a great place for martinis this is hands down the best place in the Fox Cities for them. You will not be disappointed.

Absolutely stunning interior. Can't get over how beautiful it was. Perfect location. There's plenty to do within walking distance if you don't want to wait for the parking ramp traffic to subside. Only complaint is there was nowhere to purchase a bottle of water during a graduation ceremony. You'd think they'd make a lot of money if they sold water bottles, soda and simple concession items.
Brittaney M — Google review
Love this venue! Not a bad seat in the house. Every show I have seen is top-notch and so much fun! The staff is so helpful and polite. I highly recommend! You’ll love it!
Tina K — Google review
One of the true treasures of the Fox Valley. Home to many Broadway traveling acts. Seats are comfortable and views from all areas are nice. Nothing is better than the floor seats but definitely would not rule out upper seats. Skip the drink line, drink orders can be placed before arriving or while seated and can be picked up at bar areas, very convenient. Season tickets for Broadway shows saves a fair amount of money more than buying individual tickets.
Colin C — Google review
One of the worst concert experiences I have ever had. Power hungry ushers yelling and shining flashlights throughout the crowd over cell phones. There were no posted signs, no one ever said anything about a cell phone upon entry. Tickets said nothing. At intermission I asked the usher why they were doing this. She told me they found out as the show was starting. So they were enforcing something that no one knew about. The male usher in the 340 section should be fired. Shining lights in people's face who didnt even have phones. Meanwhile, looking out on the main floor, I saw hundreds of people filming and taking pictures. No one stopped them. The funny part was that throughout the show the performers were filming. They were talking about how much they loved the audience and their participation. They didnt care if we had phones. This was just downright awful. Apologies and refunds should be given. Show was great. Theater was awful. Never again.
John W — Google review
Great venue, all seats have a good unobstructed view of the stage. Lots of parking, bars and restaurants within a short walking distance. Really good acoustics to. Only down side that I see is wheelchair access is very limited. So be sure you specify this when you buy tickets.
Steve V — Google review
I saw Bobby Rush w Kenny Wayne Shepherd! It would be great if there was an area we could stand in, and move in, rather than being seated, for shows like this. Other than that, it's a pretty great venue!
Kevin S — Google review

Good Company is a long-established and unique eatery that offers a primarily American menu infused with Mexican and Italian flavors. It is known for its outstanding service and ability to accommodate both small and large groups. Whether dining with friends or hosting special events like bridal showers, customers are consistently impressed by the efficient service, delicious food, and overall positive experience. The restaurant provides a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere where guests can savor the delectable dishes, including the highly recommended cheese curds.
Good Times Food in downtown Appleton Wisconsin. 3-6 happy hour. Excellent beer and cocktail selection, Fried Cheese curds evil good! Angus burgers are well portioned amazing flavor, ambiance is a must to experience. Price was very affordable. Staff attentive and very friendly. Must see. Must go if your ever visiting.

Overall, the table agrees that the name is accurate. The Good Co was good, but not great. I would still recommend coming though. The atmosphere and building are very unique (in a very good way). I think the most satisfying entree was the quesadilla (lots of chicken) and the chicken strip basket (nice and crispy and yummy fries).

Fish was basic fish fry, the waitress was awesome, and the atmosphere was good! Would recommend quick bite to eat. We were traveling in town.
Chani M — Google review
It is a beautiful restaurant. It has a sort of Tuscan vibe. The food was prepared promptly, hot and as ordered. The Cod sandwich was delicious and big. They have their own house made tartar sauce which is sweet and savory. The loaded nachos could feed a football team! As delicious as it was big. Our waitress was fantastic. Prompt, attentive and definitely service with a smile.
Sara D — Google review
Great place all around! The only knock I can think of is that the wait was a little long, but it was definitely worth it! Especially a fan of the cheese curds, but the food was delicious, the service was friendly, and the decor and feel of the restaurant was super unique.
Franklin D — Google review
I'm probably just used to fast food restaurants, but $13 for their most basic burger seemed excessive. And prices went up from there. The food was pretty good, though not compelling. Also, the lettuce on the burger was old so we had to pull it off. The bread on the Reuben was soggy from the sauerkraut. The most frustrating part of our visit was the service though. Starting with her introduction, we could tell the waitress was flustered. She did excel at keeping our drinks filled. But most other interactions were disappointing. She didn't know how much would be charged to replace fries with broccoli. She let me know when she brought it. She forgot to put in the order for our appetizer. She brought salads without silverware. After we asked for them, she brought two forks for each of us with no knife or napkins. Even when she brought the steak, there were no knives or napkins. Lastly, she forgot our to-go boxes. The experience took twice as long as it should have because we had to wait so much. Maybe she was new and hadn't been adequately trained, but I expected a lot more from such a well reviewed restaurant.
Hugo J — Google review
The hostess was great. She was able to seat us right away. Our server got our drinks and order in. Before I knew it our food was being brought to us. Great service even with them being busy with home comming. The tenderloin was delicious. The atmosphere seems like its a place you'd take your older kids too, date night, girls night.

Vince Lombardi's Steakhouse offers a wide selection of delicious steaks and an extensive wine menu in a classic, wood-paneled setting adorned with football memorabilia. Customers rave about the exceptional food, impeccable hospitality, and incredible service provided by the servers. Lombardi’s Steakhouse, nestled within the Hilton Paper Valley Hotel, is a true culinary gem! From the moment I stepped in, the ambiance was warm and inviting, setting the perfect tone for a delightful dining experience. The highlight of my visit was undoubtedly the exceptional wait staff, who were attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely friendly. They guided me through the menu with enthusiasm and made fantastic recommendations. The steaks were cooked to perfection, bursting with flavor. I left feeling satisfied and eager to return! Highly recommended!

Beautiful scenery for a very plain gastronomic experience. We were so excited when we sat down. The atmosphere was exceptional and unique, being like in one of those British clubs, jazz in the background, and Gregorio our waiter very friendly and fun. The menu presented amazing food options but we ended up waiting too long for the food that showed up and was like frozen food quality. Served cool not entirely hot and fresh and some plates really lacked substance. The wine not excellent but for the price ($90) on twist tap bottles. In general plain food and wine at outrageous prices in a superb atmosphere is what you’ll find here.
Maria C — Google review
Food was phenomenal, I had the lobster Mac n cheese and the serving was huge. Easily two people could’ve eaten out of it and still take leftovers. The service was a bit slow, especially when it was time to get the check. 30+ mins to get it. Let’s just say that he was lucky a gratuity was added to the bill. Food was great, but it was a one and done experience for me and I’m sure for the rest of the party on that table.

A group of 10 of us traveled out from MN for a bachelor party weekend. This was our nice night out dinner and every one was very excited. The vibes are top notch for a steakhouse and a football fan. The bartender was amazing and very friendly. We got seated at our table and thats when the fun stopped. Our server Debbie was very passive aggressive right out of the gate. She seemed very annoyed to have to serve us, even tho the restaurant was near empty. Debbie treater our table as if we were all ordering waters and sharing cheap apps. She gave vibes that she hates her job. Before we even got our food, she was asking how we wanted checks and was giving a lot of attitude about how long it was going to take her to split checks. It was a total vibe killer with her attitude. Again, excellent food. Granted it took 2 hours start to finish, but Debbie killed the experience for our entire group.

We had Sarah as our server and she was outstanding along with the food. The highlight was Sarah’s knowledge of speciality drinks and wine selection. Last, our Lava Cake desert selection was spectacular! Only downside was the hostess, who was not very welcoming and seemed to be watching tv when we arrived. When interrupting the show, she was a little put out. Also, the first table she gave was by, what appeared to be, the bathroom. Anyway, Sarah made up for the difference.
Docob5 — Google review
Great Atmosphere! Very friendly Staff, our waitress was Kim D. The steaks were amazing, tender flavorful and juicy. The sides, Brussel sprouts and a baked potato were equally as good. The desserts were decent, but didn’t feel they were worth 100% of the price. Dessert prices were also missing from their dessert menu. All in all I would give them a fair 4/5

food and drinks are good but are both pretty overpriced. Paid $15 for a Wisconsin style old fashioned with rail whiskey in a rocks glass. It is possible to find comparable or better food at better prices elsewhere in town.

Appleton Beer Factory is a laid-back brewpub located in Downtown Appleton, WI. The brewery prides itself on its historic building and offers a wide range of delightful brews. The exposed-brick decor creates a relaxed atmosphere for patrons to enjoy locally sourced eats such as burgers. The brewery also features a custom-fabricated brewing system, allowing visitors to witness the beer-making process firsthand.
My husband and I chose Appleton Beer Factory for the sole purpose of utilizing one of our Wisconsin Brewdeck cards. Street parking was as expected of Appleton on a Saturday evening. The front is handicap accessible. We sat at the bar. Ambiance, including house music, was pleasant. Service was prompt and well-timed. Coke products are served here. Food-wise, my husband ordered the Reuben with fries and I had the Shrimp Tacos with chips and salsa as a side. Husband reported back with great reviews. My shrimp tacos were delicious, but rather messy. They tend to fall apart a bit, and the insides fell on to my plate. No big deal. The chips I got as a side worked great to clean up the shrimp taco salsa now on my plate. I'd say this was a win, and we will be back again. P.s. the pickle in my photo was served with my husband's Reuben and he donated it to me. My plate had a lime wedge included.

Good beer and good food. One star off because the service was a bit odd. Not sure if they have actual waitstaff (beyond bartenders), but we came in for dinner on a trivia night (unknown to us) and it seemed like the bartenders were also having to double duty as waiters, so getting our food and getting the bill took a while since they were very busy with folks coming in for trivia.

Came from out of town (Yoop) for a show, first time at this location and It was amazing. Great intimate setting and great sound. Will definitely be back! Met Mark and he was very helpful, can tell he is passionate about that place. We bought more tickets for an upcoming show and We'll be following on social for future shows. Old Fashioned on tap was really good... Thanks for a great venue!

10(ish) beers to try, both found something new worth purchasing. Food was good. Lots of seating area. Popular, seemingly, event space. Try the big pretzels, it’s massive!!!!

Second time at the Appleton Beer Factory and had a phenomenal experience. Quick service and amazing food. The Nashville Hot Chicken sandwich is not unbelievably spicy but had a good kick, with a super juicy thigh. And the cucumber salad with veggies fresh from the garden was incredible. My husband had a great burger and our beers were great! Can’t recommend enough.

Milhand Hefeweizen was delicious and so refreshing! Hints of banana! Great pizza! Looks like they have live music events too, wish I could've stayed for that!

There is absolutely no organizational system to order a drink during mile of music. It was chaos, and truly whoever was yelling the loudest at the bar, which was 3 people deep at all times. We had worked our way up to seats at the bar, waited a half hour holding my card out the entire time and never got a bartender’s attention to order a tap beer before we just decided to leave. The bartenders were moving and working hard, but there was no way three people could keep up with what was going on. If you are going to fill a bar to capacity, have staff and systems to accommodate.

The bar and grill Clubhouse Kitchen & Bar is not your typical hotel sports bar. The food looked outstanding, although I didn't try it myself. The staff, especially Melissa, provided exceptional service that enhanced the overall experience. The atmosphere was fantastic and the beer selection was impressive. With billiards, darts, and an indoor golf simulator, this place goes beyond being just a lobby bar. Located within a hotel, it offers ample space with numerous TVs to enjoy sports action.
The Clubhouse has served our team as a gathering place during meetings in Appleton for many years. Great bar food and friendly service are always front and center. Christin and Maliyah are fantastic bartenders.

I had went out to eat with my significant other around 5pm on a Saturday. We had never been to this place before and figured we would give it a try. The place had very few people. We arive, go inside, wait by the sign that said to wait for seating. After about 8 minutes without acknowledgment, we decided to seat ourselves. We sat down at a table, which was fine aside from it being very wobbly. After another 10 minutes, we finally get a waiter to get us some drinks. By the way the drinks are super expensive. I chose to have a water, I'm not going to fork over a 20 dollar bill for a cocktail at a sport bar. We had placed our food order. The waiter Simon was very friendly. Me and my SO had ordered the breaded chicken sandwich. When we got the sandwiches the chicken on them was about half the size of a normal chicken patty. The chicken was tough and didnt even cover the bun. We had kindly asked the waiter to have them re made because it was definitely not worth 20 dollars for the sandwich which we received. Simon promptly took them back to have them re made. When we received the new sandwiches it wasn't any better. Needless to say we will not be back ever. Edit: As we got our check we noticed the chefs were esting our food that we sent back.

Was in area for show. Burgers were burnt and dry not made to request. Had side salad which was lettuce and onion only. Drink were out ragous in price. Double the price from anywhere else. Other bars we walked by were packed on a Thursday night. Not going. Back anytime soon.

Not one to leave negative reviews but after the manager or owner followed us out of the establishment and confronted us about poor tipping is where I draw the line. Very unprofessional and very childish. Me and a group of 7 walked in around 8:45 didn't get helped till we walked up to the bar to get our drinks and bring them to our tables. Another 15 mins went by for her to get to us and we gave her some slack as it was 1 cook and 1 bartender but there was a half full bar and maybe 3 tables not to busy at all. Waited almost a hour for food that half our table didn't even want to eat but had no other options as its past 10 already. Was very unhappy with everything here but insanely unhappy with how unprofessional how the manager or owner acted and told us his memory is better then our and good luck because we didn't satisfy him with tippingn enough! So my advice make this your last priority if you can help it
Brayden P — Google review
I'm not really one to leave negative reviews, but due to the price vs. quality of this place I figured I'd share my experience. My friend and I sat for upwards of 30mins to even be spoken to. I had to go up to the bar to clarify whether someone comes to the table or if we order there. Multiple families left during this time due to how poor the service was. We then waited another 10-15mins to be waited on, 30mins to receive two cokes, and it took about 45mins to get our food, which was lukewarm due to sitting in the window for far too long. We were not checked on (and the restaurant was not busy). The food was wildly over priced for the quality. Appleton offers tons of delicious places, I highly recommend avoiding this one.

I had the chicken bacon ranch flatbread it was pretty good, and the cheese portions were very good. I would have liked to have just a little more ranch on the flatbread. The service was pretty good and the atmosphere was nice. Would be nice of have a better salad option.

With three bars on-site, this establishment prioritizes speedy service to ensure patrons enjoy their time. The extensive selection boasts over 150 craft beers, making it an ideal destination for beer enthusiasts. Pair your drink with one of their signature Bazil Burgers for a delightful culinary experience.
This is a cute bar with older (but clean) feel. Walk in and see a fish tank to the left, old looking bar stools, and the ceiling filled with designs. Food is good. Has TONS of choices. We had the cheddar bacon bites, fries, and chili. Typical bar appetizers and good chili. All servers were friendly and fast. They seem to work well together. Atmosphere is very welcoming, had older feel, but seemed a little "beat up." Was clean and music a good volume.

The Bar - The Avenue is a laid-back sports bar that features multiple TV screens, two private event spaces, outdoor seating during the summer, and a fast-food menu. Customers rave about the tasty chicken wings which are exclusively flats, creating a pleasant surprise. The wings are not only flavorful but also accompanied by a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere. Additionally, patrons appreciate the high-quality cheese curds served at the establishment. The wide selection of beers is another highlight as they are consistently served at an optimal temperature.
In Appleton for some shopping and decided to eat lunch here. Enjoyed the perch regular as well as gluten-free for a friend. So tasty Excellent service. A perfectly mixed brandy old fashioned press.

We had a larger group for dinner and ordered the nachos app it was really good! The gluten-free options were great for our friends with Celiac. Server was helpful and took great care of the table. All the food turned out great minus the Philly cheese steak. Dry, way too much bun and it needed more... steer clear of that dish, the rest were by all accounts cooked well and tasted great.

Ordered online for delivery down the block on a Saturday around 8:30 pm. Order included ice cream among the heated desserts and pizza. ETA was originally 9:25pm which seemed reasonable. Order finally arrived, cold at 9:50 pm. Ice cream completely melted, cold pizza, cold desserts. No microwave (or freezer) in the hotel. At least one driver change. I'm not sure who to blame on this one, the bar or the drivers. Next time I'm in town, I might try to go in and see if its better.

Ordered wings from here. For $20 I would expect better quality. Barely any meat on them! I ordered wings from here previously - same experience, however figured I would try them again. Got $100 worth of food from here tonight, and realized this would be my last time. The chicken tenders are as skinny as a pencil, the wings had no meat on them - don’t even get fries with them for the price. Was hoping for a better outcome the second time around but my family was not impressed. 😬 if you are looking for good quality wings, I would honestly not look here. Get your moneys worth and go to Scubas, or wooden nickel!!
Paige A — Google review
The wings were delicious and for my surprise they were all flats! They tasted very good and the atmosphere was very chill and relaxed. We also got cheese curds and the cheese was of very good quality. We tried several beers and they all came in a good temperature. Both the server and the bartender were polite and attentive. Next time I’m up north, I would like to come back.

A large group of my friends and I came here after my friends wedding. We are all from out of town but recognized “The Bar” from Green Bay. We were at the bar about to order drinks when a large group of overweight men started harassing my friend and called him a slur. When I brought it to the attention of the bouncer near me, he said “that’s freedom of speech”.

Awesome placs! My wife and I's first time here, the manager Mike is a super cool guy. I asked a drink recommendation and he hooked me up. The food is great too, I definitely recommend getting the flight. The burgers are super good and if it's your birthday you're in for a good time.
Angel F — Google review
I am so upset with my bar experience. I work downtown so I order from here VERY often. I always get the same thing but for whatever reason the last couple times I have ordered they have been burnt like this. This was my free set of mistake wings and look how awful these look! I called and asked to talk to a manager and he is so very disrespectful and he yelled at me over the phone and told me to order from somewhere else because I am unable to make happy! He hung up on me while I was trying to talk to him! Also told me that all of the food gets looked at before it’s sent out! THEY ARE BLACK!!!! I manage a business and I would never handle a situation like he did and for that I will never order from here again. I spend 40-60 every time I order because I order for my work crew and that no longer will happen, customer service definitely makes a business.

Such a hidden gem you need to check out. They have some of the biggest acts come through for such a reasonable price! Updated again: We have been a few times. We enjoy getting the packages that include the snacks and drinks so everything is prepaid, and that's how ya get the good seats. Update: We returned and again enjoyed our show. I know we're going back again. We had an excellent evening watching one of our favorite comics. This was our first time to this comedy club. It was well organized, and signage was clear about where to go and what the next step was when entering. The staff checked us in and asked if it was our first time. They gave us the rundown and explained what we needed to know. We purchased a package that included drinks and snacks. This was explained well by the excellent server we had. It was packed, but the vibe was relaxed. The drinks were good, but skip the pretzels. I don't have high expectations for food at a comedy club, so I give them a pass on this area. The popcorn was great. Our service was excellent!! The server was attentive and kind. Random things to note are that the ladies' room has only 3 stalls, so there was a wait. Parking was less than ideal. There's a small lot and the rest is on the street. But, these are just limitations of the building. We are definitely going back!
Tonya F — Google review
Loved this place. Happy to have it near. Big name acts. Quality, comfortable, fun club.

I like the comedy club but buyer beware: aske for an itemized bill. (They don’t automatically bring one). We were charged for a drink and then Ashley our waitress argued with us. Finally she realized we were correct. Hopefully they canceled that charge. Also remember the automatically add the gratuity. They do post it on the menu but not everyone notices and customers double tip. I will go again but I will follow my own advice.
Robin V — Google review
Some really great comedians and price but be ready to be intimate with others as you pack in like sardines. One bathroom per sex and two drink (or appetizer) minimum. Cost of Dinks 9-$15 and cost of apps 8-$12. So for a couple an additional $50 added onto the night. Be ready to have the wait staff hold your credit card during the evening as well. One way in through an elevator so if it’s cold outside and there’s a good comedian, dress warm!!
Flip G — Google review
Good place for a laugh or general night out. Cocktails are a little weak for the price so might be better off with prepackaged offerings (beer, wine, etc). Ticket prices are reasonable and staff is friendly and helpful. Liked their new bill system, faster than waiting like before.
Chad S — Google review
Loud disruptive crowds, overpriced drinks and a well hidden mandatory gratuity which they then ask for an additional gratuity. Many customers accidentally double tip which is certainly intentional by the venue. Not a great value compared to other options in the state. Rude and unresponsive management when asked to refund the extra accidental tip.

What a place. It's a Christmas bar all year round. Good music (was not Christmas music when I went on black Friday). CHRISTMAS 247!! Ambiance would be 100 ⭐️ if I could. Here’s the deal, super popular place so it’s often jammed packed, so just get ready to deal with crowded space. Being from the service industry I was really impressed with the speed and patience of the staff. Dealing with a full bar, drunken debauchery, cash waving customers barking for your attention, takes a special breed and I saw really good service. A must visit & drink in Appleton! If your caught standing in one spot with nowhere to move, play a drinking version of “I Spy” 🍻

We like sitting at the bar. The stools are jammed so tight together and made access really clumsy and difficult (I'm 140# she is 118#). I mean, you're gonna have to get up to take a leak or get a smoke at some point. Otherwise we REALLY had an enjoyable time. Amber was on fire and never missed a beat! The venue hosts various artists representing different genres and provides a comfortable and enjoyable experience for attendees. With friendly and accommodating staff, it has become a popular choice for events such as concerts and community gatherings. Guests can expect quality entertainment and an inviting atmosphere at this renowned music hall.
The Gibson is a great venue for catching amazing musicians performing original music with a cover or two sprinkled in for good measure. I personally enjoy the smaller crowd listening room experience the most, but the larger performances are good as well. If you're looking for some good music be sure to check out the schedule on their website.

This was my first time at this venue, the bartenders were super nice. The sound was fantastic. While the band was playing I couldn't hear the crowd conversation, sometime at shows I have to move to different spots on the floor to hear the band not this place. When the artists tune ended there was clearly conversations happening as the band played. Grateful for the acoustics at the venue. I will be back when the bands I love well be there. Looks like a great line for the future. Thanks for leaving a positive experience in my brain.

Over all an excellent place to hear great music and share with other music lovers and I highly recommend it.

Wanted to hear some music and found an event here last minute through fb events. It was a great choice. I saw The Belle Weather, with Kate Stenson. It was wonderful! The bartender made the best (lol) kiddie cocktail I'd ever had. And the seating was comfortable. A choice of low chairs and tables, or seats at the bar. There was an event cover charge of a very reasonable $10. And honestly, the crowd was very polite. I could actually listen to the musicians because it didn't feel like the kind of venue where you talk over the music. Which I prefer. So it was a nice surprise. Gibson has their OWN sound guy. Who knows that system perfectly. There were no sound issues, everything was clear and balanced, and didn't hurt my ears. Bravo to the whole thing. Staff was kind, attentive, well dressed, and chipper. And patrons seemed to really respect the venue. (Yay) if you want to go downtown and avoid the raucous noise and meet people in a better environment, I definitely think Gibsons is a fair bet. It was a nice respite from the usual chaotic college ave bar energy. I'll be back!

The bartender exhibited amiable behavior, adding to the overall positive experience of enjoying time with friends at this venue. Furthermore, patrons can enjoy an assortment of beverage choices in a pristine environment while being entertained by exceptional live music performances.
Great place. Nice variety of drink options, clean & the live music was wonderful.

Looked like a pretty cool place until the bartender talked to us. We walked out pretty quickly after that. It was the woman with the purple hair (didn’t catch her name). Now I see why they were so empty on a Saturday night.

We were there on a Thursday night so it wasn't busy. The architecture inside is lovely. They have a small outdoor patio. Bartender was friendly.

I parked in the lot behind Jim's Place last week. And one of their bar tenders, a middle aged blonde woman, began yelling at me that I cannot park there and she would call the cops on me. All in the same breath; before I even had a chance to respond to her. It never dawned on her to ask or inform me nicely. I would have gladly moved my car, had I been approached in a mature and professional manner. This employee had neither qualities.

Atmosphere! Awesome people! Occasionally a music venue. Honestly, the only thing I'd like to see different here is music at least once a week! This is a very cool, quant, music venue! But again, some of the best people in the Valley! Good service!

I was so rudely ignored this evening at Jim's Place....Mile of Music, and I know staff are busy. But, the scantily-clad bartenders made it obvious that they were NOT going to take a drink order from me. Some guy showed up to help them; he ignored me as well. So--a single woman cannot get served a drink even if she lays a $20.00 bill on the bar. Shame on you.

Couldn't give a 0 or I would. Terrible bartender if you want to call her one. Warm beer. Couldn't drink it. Catered to locals. Never will step foot in there again.

Friendly bartenders, Great music, amazing booze. My bros and I had a pretty good time over there! Would definitely recommend to anyone in the Appleton area.

Park
Pioneer Park is a small, half-acre park situated on the site of a former underground water storage tank. It lacks playgrounds and amenities, offering only benches for visitors to relax. Positioned across from the bluffs with views of the Fox River, it provides picnic benches for resting or enjoying a snack. There's no designated parking lot, so visitors can park on the street or opt for walking or biking to reach the park.
🏞️Local park across the street from the bluffs overlooking the Fox River. Picnic benches are available to rest or 🧺share a snack 😋 No parking lot so park on the street or 🚲bike/walk 🚶‍♀️here! No🚫 restrooms or drinking water. After visiting this park make your ➡️way to the river and see the water 🌊roaring through 🍎Appleton!❇️🌷🌸🌹🌺🌻

Brewery
Yard 65 gave me way more than expected for my stop. The beer and drinks were above average. The building was simply awesome. An 1800 building that they were able to keep all the history makes this worth stopping. For the beer, they had 11 of their beers on tap including: citra ipa, an amazing Bock, dark lager, red ale, lite lager, pilsner, kolsch, rasberry wheat, coconut porter, and a BA Red Ale. I truly enjoyed every beer here and the staff were amazing. I will definitely be back again.

Beautiful building! Great atmosphere! Wonderful outdoor area! Good selection of beer and decent drink selection. Would have given 5 stars but I don’t like unisex bathrooms l and the white board menu is too hard to read.

We hosted a baby shower here and it was great! Jen was easy to work with from the planning process to the day of the event. Guests had great things to say about the drinks and space itself! Whenever we are in town, we will be stopping by.

This is an incredibly well-executed conversion from the furniture factory to hospitality and event space. We enjoyed the appetizers, pizza, beer and specialty drinks.

We enjoy this newer brewery. Great beer and atmosphere. We will be back. #wiscohoppycouple

I can only say... what a great place. Owners and staff are friendly. Great beer and drinks!!!! It's been awhile since I been there last. Seems like they have new menu items. I stuck with the mozzarella ring. Didn't disappoint. They have a blueberry and cherry seltzer that are good by themselves, but going half and half I think they are better.

PIZZA! What a great venue. Great selection of made in house BEER (including delicious home made ROOT BEER) and vodka drinks! But, there pizza is a must try. Yes, it is a frozen pizza. HOWEVER, it rivals many in house made pizzas. They do an amazing job of cooking their pizzas (in a professional pizza oven which makes a huge difference). There's a reason why they are making and selling so many pizzas. Give it a try and you won't be disappointed. Oh, and how great it is that you can enjoy a nice beer or cocktail while enjoying that pizza. We'll be back!

Kevin’s retirement party was a HUGE success!!! Thanks to Jenny and Jason for being such great hosts! Jenny was great to work with in the planning and they both made sure we were taken care of. The bartenders were top notch, even though they were swamped!!! We will be back for more events! Great beer, cocktails, and going to try that pizza!!! Thanks again! Denise
