A.R.T. Massage Body Spa is a 1920s era inspired day spa located in Alamo Heights, San Antonio that specializes in advanced relaxing therapeutic services. They have cultivated a comfortable and professional atmosphere which is perfect for anyone looking for quality treatment. Highly recommend!
I have found the perfect salon for my natural nail manicures and pedicures. The place was clean and welcoming. There were no chemical odors and my technician was wonderful. She did an amazing job with my mani and pedi.. The massage was the icing on the cake. I was so relaxed by the end of my session. I definitely will recommend to others.

My visit at ART Spa House was a birthday gift massage from my best friend. Being a nurse for 23 yrs I have been to more than a few massage therapists. Truly, Jenda is one of a kind. Best I have ever had. She is able to tell what you need and delivers on target. Now I know where and who to go for the PERFECT custom massage.

I had such a wonderful experience at this spa! I booked an hour-long deep tissue massage with a scalp massage and aromatherapy, and it was exactly what I needed. Jessica was fantastic! She didn’t just rely on standard massage techniques but also incorporated stretches that really helped release the tension I’ve been carrying. The pressure was perfect, and I left feeling lighter, relaxed, and so refreshed. The aromatherapy added such a calming touch to the whole experience. I’ll definitely be coming back and highly recommend it to anyone needing a true reset!

I’ve been visiting ART for a couple of years now, and I always leave relaxed and satisfied with my service. I usually get facials with Lauren, and her hands are truly magical. I love that she gives great massages, even to your arms and hands while waiting for a mask or enzyme to do its work on your face. I’ve seen several different people for massages, and they’ve all been great as well. I’ve also gotten my nails done during one of their awesome monthly spa packages, and all of the ladies I’ve met have been wonderful. Great experience all around!

My first ever dry pedicure and it was amazing! Cynthia is a wonderful nail tech/cosmetologist. Very reasonably priced for shellac and a buff and shine manicure. I can also appreciate how gentle see was on my nails. She made sure I wasn’t disappointed and was very keen on letting me know some real insights to why my nails may be thinning/breaking. I was waited on hand and foot (literally) I will be visiting soon for my next appointment. Excellent work!

What a shame their gift cards expire. I received this for my birthday last year in September. I got pregnant and fell severely ill and was hospitalized throughout my pregnancy several times. I had very strict restrictions, was put on bed rest and almost lost the baby from fainting and falling down the stairs breaking six ribs. Obviously I couldn't use my $240 gift card. The delivery was smooth but recovery was very rough because breastfeeding with broken ribs is TOUGH. I'm finally feeling better and can leave my house now that the baby is a couple months old and can go longer between feedings. I call to book my appt 3 days after expiring apparently and told I cannot use it. On the gift card I received there was no expiration date so I didn't know that about "rule" of expiring gift cards. That is a lot of money to not honor. I'm not sure how they can go with those "rule" because nowhere on the gift card does it state that this expires. I will be contacting the BBB, attorney general and TDLR.

my sister and I had a great time at ART Spa House. She got a deep tissue massage, and I got an Acne Facial w/ Bella. Bella was great, attentive, knowledgeable, and easy to talk to but also let me be quiet when I wanted to relax! The inside is a house converted into a spa and was clean and cute. Would be cute to rent out for a day and treat friends to a spa experience (if that's a thing LOL) :) -- I would def go back and request Bella again. Had my skin looking renewed after. -- we even got some freebies and testers because we were both celebrating our bdays <3

I booked a deep tissue massage with Maria and she was so awesome! She had great communication and recommendations. She was very thorough, detail attentive and addressed all of my needs. I would absolutely book with her again. ART Spa House was overall very clean with a relaxed ambience and great front desk staff and service.

Nestled within the luxurious Hotel Emma, Hiatus Spa and Retreat in San Antonio presents a rejuvenating escape that redefines wellness. This serene sanctuary offers an extensive range of services designed to nourish both body and spirit. Guests can indulge in various treatments, from soothing massages to invigorating body wraps and revitalizing facials. With 13 beautifully appointed treatment rooms, Hiatus also features unique experiences like the Vichy Shower for a truly refreshing experience.
I finally used a Mother’s Day gift card and treated myself to a full day at Hiatus Spa + Retreat in San Antonio — and I’m so glad I did! I scheduled a massage, facial, manicure, and pedicure, and the whole experience was incredibly relaxing. Parking Tip: If you’re headed down to The Pearl, give yourself extra time to park — it’s a bit tricky. I initially stopped at the valet in front of Hotel Emma (right near Hiatus) to ask for guidance. They suggested the parking garage, but turns out it’s only for monthly tenants. Luckily, there’s a surface lot just to the left of the garage where I found a spot without too much trouble. It wasn’t super expensive either. I walked through Hotel Emma to get to the spa, where I was warmly greeted and checked in via tablet. After changing into a robe, I waited briefly before being taken upstairs for my massage. The therapist asked about my preferences and made sure to focus on the areas I mentioned — a lovely, calming one-hour session. After the massage, I returned to the waiting area for my manicure and pedicure. Here’s where I learned something new: they asked if I wanted to “zone out.” I had no idea what that meant, but I’m so glad I asked! It’s their way of offering a sensory break — they give you a headset and eye cover, and you can pick from various sounds or music (I chose the ocean). I was half worried I’d fall asleep and snore — but it was such a unique and soothing touch. Instead of traditional massage chairs with water jets, the techs use individual foot basins on the floor. They kneel while washing your feet (which honestly looked tough on their knees), but then sit in salon-style chairs to finish the pedi. Both my mani and pedi were meticulous and relaxing. Lastly, I again headed upstairs (elevator available if needed) for my facial. It was absolutely wonderful — I left feeling refreshed and glowing. They also offer the products used during your services at the front desk if you’re interested. Overall: Hiatus is a serene, well-run spa with thoughtful touches and skilled staff. I’d absolutely return for another pampering day — and now I know what “zoning out” is

1st off, as soon as I walked in I smelled such a relaxing aromas along w relaxing music. It was clean and the workers immediately greeted me! (Loved their customer service ❤️🙌) I was there for the comeback massage plus hot stone, I told them that and after filled out my information. Not long after I was escorted to the locker room if you will which was amazing!! She showed/ explained everything to me(there was lockers to put your things in, showers for after your services) this place was so attentive to detail it had shower caps if u didnt want to wet your hair, razors for shaving, hair products and hair dryers for after your shower. We got this robe and slipper which were SOOO comfortable. I had my massage by Alexis and OMG 10/10 recommend!!! I cant say this enough but OMG, she really listened to my needs and what was bothering me and I felt SUCH a relief after. I was so tense in place and she definitely focused on those areas and got all my knots and tension OUT!! The entire session was so therapeutic from the aromas to the hot stones (which felt amazing 👏). Then after our session I went to shower then had some hot tea and sat in the relaxation area AND FELL ASLEEP 🤣 i was so relaxed I didnt realize I had fallen asleep lol. A huge thank you to Alexis, I will definitely be coming again and again!! Thank you to all the front ladies as well you ladies were so polite, kind and informative ❤️

First time here, and first ever prenatal massage. It was wonderful. Greeted by friendly front desk, shown amenities while waiting. I was called back right on the dot of my appointment. Alexis did a wonderful job! Much needed! Will be back and recommending 🧖🏻‍♀️😊

I called in the same day and was lucky enough to book a facial for my birthday! The receptionist was so kind and made me feel completely comfortable from the moment I arrived. The spa itself is absolutely gorgeous and relaxing — such a peaceful atmosphere. My esthetician, Jenna, was amazing! She was super informative, gentle, and really took great care of me and my skin. I left glowing and refreshed! I loved it so much that I decided to become a member. They’ll definitely be seeing me again soon!

My wife and I went for a couples massage for her birthday on July 17 and we both left saying it was the best massage we ever had. The facilities were very clean and comfortable. All of the employees were very friendly and accommodating and the massage therapists were clearly very skilled and made sure we had a great experience. I would definitely recommend and we both look forward to coming back again.
Gerald D — Google review
My first visit they scheduled my massage and my facial 1.5 hr apart. Meaning I finished my massage and then had to wait for 1.5hr for my facial. I changed out of my robe and slippers and sat outside until they called me. The services were great though. My 2nd time visit was at 0900 when they first opened. I showed up at 0904 to give some time to open. I was rushed to the masseuse, Emma, without the option of changing into robes or putting my things in a locker. After each session I had to redress, gather my things, and move to the next service. Whoever I scheduled my services with didn’t quite understand I had a service package so I didn’t get to schedule my mani/pedi this visit. Emma was an absolute knockout massage therapist. I’ve had massages in Tokyo, Cabo, Corfu, and several major U.S. cities and I can say this is the BEST massage I’ve ever had. If you’re looking for a phenomenal deep tissue massage, Emma is your go-to.

Juliet applied my polish with meticulous attention to detail. It’s looks like a work of art on my hands and nails. She is my choice from now on for mani/pedi at Hiatus Spa The Cellars! She was amazing. I can only imagine how wonderful the full experience will be! Can’t wait until next time.

The Hiatus Spa San Antonio - The Lab was incredibly clean and pleasant. I had a Gua Sha facial with esthetician Monica, and she took great care with her work and was a delight. The entire experience was lovely. All the products she used were available for purchase. She was really genuine and enthusiastic about the work. A+ all around.

This place was absolutely amazing. I did the summer rain massage and pedicure. The massage was about an hour long and I didn’t want to leave. This place is HIGHLY recommended. The staff is very attentive, facility was clean, and the atmosphere was very relaxing.
Stacy V — Google review
I recently purchased the Mokara Relax & Renew package, and unfortunately, my experience was far from what I expected. My first service started at 8 AM with a wonderful massage. However, things took a turn when I got into the jacuzzi afterward. To my dismay, the filter cap was full of hair, and there were what appeared to be food crumbs all over one of the steps. This was first thing in the morning, which makes it even more concerning. As someone who is very particular about cleanliness, especially hair, this was a big turn-off. I quickly got out and went to the sauna and steam room, which, thankfully, were much better. Afterward, I headed to the lounge to prepare for my next service. I waited for 15 minutes past my appointment time without any communication. Just as I was about to call, the manager came in to inform me that my aesthetician was running late due to a car accident. I was relieved to hear that she was okay, and I agreed to push my appointment back to 10:30 AM and move my lunch to 11:30 AM. However, the facial I received was far from satisfactory. It felt rushed, the room was freezing, and the aesthetician repeatedly put the brush up my nose. She even got cleaning solution in my eye. Despite her adding "extra stuff" because she felt bad, the service was still under 50 minutes, and the one blackhead I had on my forehead was still there. I had to ask for an additional blanket, and it took forever for her to find one. The hotel and my lunch, however, were excellent. The Avocado toast was amazing, and the grilled chicken Caesar salad was very good. But when I went to check out, I was surprised to see that there was no adjustment to my bill. Despite the issues with my service, there was no proactive effort to compensate for the inconveniences. It wasn't until I spoke up that I was given a mere $37 off a nearly $500 bill—laughable, considering the circumstances. It's incredibly disappointing when businesses fail to take responsibility for their shortcomings. Unfortunately, this experience has left a bad taste in my mouth, and I will not be returning to this spa.
Rebecca J — Google review
I have to give the spa 3 stars. The experience was wonderful. It was clean, friendly, professional, and had the amenities you want. Unfortunately my massage was horrible. My husband and I went in for a couples massage and my therapist had no idea what he was doing. I’ve never experienced something like this. My husband’s, however, was great. When I spoke to the manager she was very kind and assuring about the feedback I offered. The therapist just didn’t have the knowledge or understanding of the anatomy of the body. I communicated with him regarding the pressure and it changed for about 4 minutes and went back to just basic wiping movements. The manager offered us $40 off the experience, but had to ask for it to be taken off the bill during check out.
Mimi W — Google review
Overall middle of the road. The staff didn't bother to mention that refreshments were available on the rooftop and my massage was mediocre at best. I get a sports recovery massage every 2-4 weeks and can't say that I've had this type of experience in quite some time. By the end she was trying to run down the clock by rubbing the skin off of my neck for what felt like an eternity until I had her stop it. Amenities seemed okay, your standard steam, dry sauna and hot tub. What you would expect at a minimum. Lack of a shared lounge is a big miss since we had to ask how we can get a snack and we finally found the roof top just in time for me to get back for my appointment. Overall, I would not bother to try again.
Seth J — Google review
Booked a massage for myself and my husband. Booked a sister hotel nearby had it all planned out for our entire day away. Got up at 7Am to be at the massage 30 mins early. Only to arrive to locked doors and the manager coming out to cancel on us. She said we could split up our massage into two different time frames but that would ruin our entire day having to wait on each other. Could have at least called me to cancel to give me the heads up before I got up super early in the morning!! Super mad that it literally ruined the entire vibe of my entire trip and waste of a expensive hotel stay
Vanessa G — Google review
What an amazing hidden gem! I found this hotel based on the spa amenities and booked based on the reviews. My husband and I spent the night to celebrate our anniversary and we really enjoyed the stay. The staff is the best you’ll find! Wealthy or just splurging for an occasion, they treat you like royalty. We met Stephanie at the front desk and she was amazing! If you haven’t stayed at the Mokara, you should. With your stay you have access to some of the spa amenities without extra charge. There’s a whirlpool, sauna and an eucalyptus steam room💆🏻‍♀️. The street to the entrance is a little confusing being that it’s on a one way narrow street, so be prepared. Also, you can find cheaper parking in the lots in the area but we chose valet so that we knew our vehicle was safe. Valet is $49. We look forward to returning!!

Great location on the River Walk. Gorgeous, spacious rooms. Bed was very comfortable. Reasturants in basement by river walk. We decent, but plenty of better ones within walking distance. Good workout facility with machines, free weights, ellipticals, treadmills, and bikes. Friendly, courteous staff.
Jonathan N — Google review
We stayed at the Omni right across the river so we had access to the spa here. It was rated Forbes 4 star for 2021 spas. I have never experienced anything like this. The staff was so professional, personable, and gave a great tour prior to using the spa. The robes make you feel like royalty and are so comfy. I have bad nerve pain so this is exactly what I needed. I spend most of my time in the eucalyptus steam room-felt amazing for my pores and to sweat everything out. The sauna was great after-more like a dry sauna and it had a 15 minute wall timer so you could keep track for your safety. The hot tub was beautiful and the perfect temperature-there could have been more bubbles. The lounge room has comfy chaise’s, calming music, and fresh orange infused water and snacks. The showers are stunning with a round brick tall area with fresh towels, top bath wash and adjustable water pressure-I used the hardest water pressure which felt amazing. Everything was so clean and relaxing.

Hotel
The JW Marriott San Antonio Hill Country Resort & Spa is an elegant property offering luxurious accommodations and a variety of dining options. Situated near the famous San Antonio River Walk, the resort boasts an exclusive spa experience on its upper floor, featuring indulgent amenities like whirlpools, steam rooms, and relaxation lounges.
My husband and I stayed at this location in mid-October for the first time ever. It is a gorgeous resort inside and out. Meagan O'Brien warmly welcomed us and was very kind in making our anniversary trip special. Since check-in was at 4 and the lazy river and slides close at 7, we hurried to those areas to enjoy the little time we had. After a nice time floating and sliding (in cold water) until 7, we relaxed in the infinity adult pool and watched deer come out onto the golf course while the sun set. It was lovely and serene until two very loud ladies walked up with their personal pill speaker blasting music over the resort's music. No staff member said anything to them so, after 15 minutes of this, we left to our room. The room was spotless, well appointed and very comfortable with a breathtaking view. We did not eat at the restaurants but enjoyed a tasty room service breakfast the next morning before checking out. Full disclosure, the resort is pricey, plus you have to pay a resort fee and for parking. However, if you're looking to treat yourself for while, this is the place to do it as long as you're ok with being around families with lots of kids...which we are.
Maria C — Google review
We were really looking forward to a nice getaway weekend without kids. The property is gorgeous and the rooms were good. We spent the first day at the main pool and lazy river. We used the “adult only “ pool but it was overrun by some adults and their 5 kids , no one from the hotel said a word. The food at the poolside grill is terrible I mean how do you make chips and queso taste bad? That was going to be the theme for the rest of the restaurants. We ate at high velocity and the burgers were good and our server was great so that’s was a good experience. The next day we had a cabana at the spa pool and our server there was great too. My husband had a Caesar salad and the croutons were stale. I had the poke bowl and it was good. Then we had dinner at the 18 oaks and that was a complete disaster. We had reservations at 6:45 ordered appetizers which were good and then proceeded to wait an hour and 15 minutes for the steaks, 2 steaks . Our waiter didn’t say a word about the delay until about 45 minutes into this crazy long wait. We almost left, we should have left. The steaks were average at best. Not worth any wait. They did give us the members discount because of the wait, which was a nice gesture. We will definitely not be coming back . If you are looking for a nice getaway I would definitely consider spending your money elsewhere it is not worth it at this resort.

I want to say first off that the staff and service of this JW is exemplary. Aaron and Annabelle who both worked at the front desk were prompt and helpful at check-in, fulfilling requests for amenities and check out. The rooms and property needs updating and more care which is why I give it 4 stars and not 5. This is a great destination for family and friends get togethers who have kids of all ages and those who like to golf. There is an adults only pool section -- but I would not consider this a destination for those looking for adults-only. I thought I paid a bit more than average compared to resorts I've stayed at in the past. This was based on the state of the rooms we had but had an overall pleasant stay. The rooms were clean -- they had some wear and tear and damage on some of the fixtures. We also chose to stay on a very busy labor day weekend -- the busiest weekend of the year for this property.
Ben O — Google review
Always love visiting this Marriott location! This was our approx 6-7th visit to JW. This time we stayed in room 4390, and wow — what a view! It overlooked both the golf course and pool area, and truly felt like one of the best rooms on the property. Dinner and brunch at Cibolo Moon was outstanding. The food was delicious, and our server Sierra was an absolute gem — so sweet, warm, attentive, and made the most delicious entrée recommendation, she really elevated the experience. Bartender, Josh, makes the best martinis! I had the best massage of my life with Daniel at Lantana Spa. I would make a special trip just to have another massage by him! We didn’t use housekeeping during our stay, but every staff member we interacted with was friendly, respectful, and eager to help if we needed anything. Everyone is always super friendly! The fitness center deserves a shout-out too — it’s one of the best I’ve seen at any resort. Tons of space, great equipment, and everything was spotless and well maintained. Perfect for anyone who doesn’t want to skip their workout routine while traveling. My only complaint was with valet — they temporarily misplaced our golf clubs and didn’t store them in the correct area, which caused some stress and almost made us miss our early morning tee time. Thankfully, it was resolved, but it’s something the resort could tighten up as the previous visit they brought us the wrong vehicle. Overall, the JW Marriott San Antonio Hill Country Resort & Spa exceeded expectations — breathtaking views, top-notch service (especially Sierra and Daniel!), and amenities that make it hard to leave. We’ll definitely be back.

The service was excellent and quick, always willing to help. Food was good. But the room was "tired" and needed updating. It had lots of scratches on the furniture, and walls. The bathroom had a hole in the wall under the sink and there were cockroaches coming out of it. There were a lot of mosquitos in the room as well and I never had the outside sliding door open. The bed was good, firm and conducive for a good nights sleep. This was very over priced for what I received and would not go back.

As long-time guests of the JW, our ladies' night at Cibolo Moon was yet another perfect experience. The dinner was fantastic, and the service was exceptional. Our server, Natalie, was wonderful, and the manager, Milan, truly made our night. He was so funny and welcoming, making us feel right at home and even helping my mom on our way out. This is why Cibolo Moon remains our favorite destination for a special night out. Highly recommend!

An otherwise nice property, I expected more from a JW Marriott. In addition to a toilet that would not stop running when I arrived, which was corrected quickly by maintenance, I also had no hot water in my room the day of departure. Super disappointing based on the price paid!

Had a blast here. The lazy river alone is worth the trip — I could’ve floated all day. Room was clean, bed was comfortable, and the staff kept everything running smooth without being over the top. The activities for the kids are great. Food and drinks were pricey (because resort life), but we expected that. Overall, zero complaints — it’s one of those places you leave already thinking about when you’ll come back.

The Loma de Vida Spa provides a tranquil escape with private garden cabanas and sky lofts for intimate treatments, while the water park features heated pools, waterslides, and a wave machine for family fun.
This place is a perfect getaway and a nice birthday gift for someone special. A guest experience manager named Katie made sure me and my partner were comfortable for his birthday! The room had a special treat for his surprise and the spa was lovely! You guys need to try the steakhouse! The host was so kind even though we didn’t make a reservation, she gave us the best seat in the house and we were given the best service by our server Matthew. Matthew we love you!!! The food was phenomenal 10/10 We are definitely going to be regulars. Till next time Hyatt!

Stayed here after we had our first child as our first little staycation away from the baby. Staff had a charcuterie board and a nice little gift and hand written note to congratulate us. Grounds and amenities were fantastic. Our stay was during the week in the fall and it felt like we had the entire place to ourselves. Very nice golf course too. Highly recommend.

I had a wonderful stay at the Hyatt Hill Country! From start to finish, the staff was welcoming and attentive. The food was absolutely amazing, and the entire property was clean and full of great amenities. I valeted my vehicle, and Sam M. helped me retrieve it when I was ready, he was friendly, fast, and even loaded my luggage for me, which I really appreciated. The room was beautiful and felt fresh and clean. The A/C worked perfectly, which made all the difference in this Texas heat and humidity! Overall, an excellent experience. I’ll definitely be back and will gladly recommend this resort to friends and family.

When we arrived Samuel helped us right away to get our bags to the room, he brought us water and explained different parts of the resort. He was very welcoming and professional. The front desk staff were friendly, welcoming and professional. They helped to get us checked in and explained different details about our stay. The resort is clean and beautiful. Our room is also clean and beautiful. We are very pleased.

We recently spent the day at the Hyatt, taking advantage of their fantastic water activities with our family. The resort's grounds were beautifully maintained, with plenty of trees providing ample shade and a very clean environment. Our kids loved the lazy river and the slide, but the highlight of the day was definitely the Flowrider experience. The staff were exceptional throughout, but one person truly stood out - Sebastian. He was our instructor for the Flowrider experience, and his expertise and patience made all the difference. Sebastian did an outstanding job of balancing fun and safety, ensuring every child had an amazing time. He was great with all the kids for the entire time and made sure they were always safe while having fun. If you're planning to try the Flowrider experience, be sure to ask for Sebastian. He truly made our day unforgettable, and we can't wait to come back and enjoy the water activities again.

Close to the airport. Wasn’t a long car ride. Got in our room super fast. The staff is very nice to me. . Many choices of food to select from. We had food out by the pool. The hamburger was my FAVORITE. We had smores at night for free. It was the best. My parents let me have so many of them. We rode bikes during the day. I even got to do the wave simulator.

I have to start with Bryan at the front desk. He was absolutely amazing. Very courteous and accommodating. A stay impression always starts with front desk interaction. I’m 34 and I’ve been coming here since I was a child (because my dad was part of the renovation team in the 90’s) and this is our yearly summer vacation. Thank you for making check in so easy and being incredibly welcoming. This is why we are loyal guests!

I stayed here for 2 family birthdays and Hyatt made it an extremely special experience! Heaven at the front desk was fantastic and helped the check in process flow smoothly!! The room was clean and spacious and the TV was working perfectly! The view was to die for and each and every one of the staff was very helpful and always had a smile on their face. Will definitely stay here again!

Float Wellness Spa is a holistic massage and spa that offers Float Therapy. This unique experience removes all distractions and allows you to relax in a float tank, which helps to restore balance, rejuvenate and heal on all levels.
My husband booked appointments for us for the Eescape and couples float our Anniversary this year. It was such a wonderful expedience. Jackie greeted us and explained everything throughout our experience. Amber was so friendly and helped after our float. This place is definitely a hidden gem, we walked away pleasantly relaxed and happy with all the services. Thank you for a wonderful morning Float Wellness Spa! We will be back!

Absolutely love this place and have witnessed firsthand how this business continually raises the bar, always introducing new and innovative ways to relax. If you haven’t tried a float tank yet, it’s a unique and deeply relaxing sensory experience. I encourage you to read more about it on the Float website. You float in a sleek, encapsulated vessel filled with magnesium rich water that makes you buoyant. The experience takes place in darkness, blocking out all external stimuli bathing suit or bare, your choice. It’s especially helpful for people who work in overstimulating environments or are feeling overwhelmed. You also can’t beat the fact that they offer infrared sauna sessions as a booking option. In one sauna, you can watch soothing nature videos; in another, you can try the yoga sauna if you’re looking to sweat and stretch. It gets HOT and for those of us who love the heat, it’s perfect! I recently tried the AI massage bot at Float, and it truly exceeded my expectations. While nothing will ever replace the irreplaceable value of human touch through modalities like ashiatsu or Thai massage.Which I LOVE and deeply appreciate (and I’ve had some incredible massages here from their skilled human professionals, highly recommend!)—this was a thoughtful and well-executed alternative. It’s especially meaningful for folks who may struggle with human interaction due to trauma, disability, or neurodivergence. The ability to fully customize pressure and positioning and especially the option for a completely silent session, makes this a much needed offering. Some days (or weeks) are just heavy, and it’s comforting to have a space where you don’t have to talk, explain, or perform. Just rest and decompress. This experience left me relaxed, grounded, and grateful. It’s a fantastic complementary option for when we need rest without emotional labor. Highly recommend giving it a try.

Float is a serene and inviting space hidden neatly away in a busy strip-mall near the center of town. You'll enter and be greeted by friendly, helpful, and accommodating staff, like Courtney, Trae, and Jackie, and treated to a very restful and rejuvenating experience. I had a massage of their Aescape massage robot which was both novel and very well done and in a space that was conducive to an excellent overall massage experience. I followed that with a float in one of their clean, comfortable, and cozy float pods. The staff, Bea, Courtney, and others, were incredibly kind and helpful throughout without ever being intrusive or overbearing. Top marks across the board for a spa experience that I would and intend to repeat. I have since returned to float with my brother and feel compelled to add that, even though I purchased nothing, the staff went out of their way to treat me incredibly well and make sure that I was pampered and relaxed. Cannot recommend highly enough!

I have been coming here since January of this year and can say it’s the highlight of my month! Last month I added a sauna session prior to float and it’s the best feeling to detox! From the moment you walk in, you are met with a serene environment and first class hospitality especially with Jackie who always goes above and beyond!

Had such a great experience at Float Spa in San Antonio! It was recommended to me and honestly lived up to the hype. From the moment I called to book, they were super kind and explained everything really well. We booked a 90-minute couple’s massage and it was truly 90 minutes, no shortcuts. The massage therapists talked to us beforehand to understand what we needed, and actually focused on the spots we mentioned, which was awesome. The place is super clean, relaxing, and everyone made us feel really welcome. After the massage, one of the staff even gave us some helpful advice on how to deal with certain pains and stretches we can do at home. Definitely recommend this place for a couple’s massage. $269 for 90 minutes, with the level of care we got, you really can’t beat that in San Antonio.

We were so immersed into the experience we didn’t get one pic! This was an unforgettable experience. They covered all the bases; instructions, toiletries, cleanliness, toweling, drinks, shoes…whatever you need they have it available. On top the of the great customer service, was the consistency of calm and wellbeing in the environment. This was a first time float……it was a restorative experience! Very relaxing. Refreshing. Quiet. Meditative. My skin even feels better! With our fast paced environment, this is a solution to decreasing distractions and enhancing life. 10/10! We will be back!

It was my first time coming in and first time doing a float session. After getting situated at the front desk, I was given a wonderful tour of what everything Float has to offer by Amber. She even gave me a complementary experience in the salt room after my session (Definitely will do again next time) Amber is an absolute gem, she gives off a positive/relaxing energy when with her. Also other members of staff were kind and supportive to making the experience a memorable one as well. I will definitely be coming back when life gets too much. If you’re looking for somewhere to forget about life for a while, look no further.

The massage was so good I fell asleep. The sauna? Well, let’s just say, what a way to be free!😉 Now, the floating! It was the best experience of my life! Although, I didn’t remain in the couples pod the entire time it was still a great experience! To the staff! Thank you! Thank you all for being professional, helpful and attentive! Can’t say it enough! One of the best EXPERIENCE of my life! I will definitely be coming back!

Booked an appointment for my 40th birthday. Omg I have NO diappointments what's so ever. I will definitely be back. Everyone was so nice to me. Even the cleaning lady I saw in the locker room. The mimosas with pineapple juice and cucumber water were so bomb. Cassandra was my massage therapist and she did an amazing job from start to finish. She made me feel very welcomed from the moment I met her. I will definitely be back and ask for her every single time because yasss she was that amazing. It was my first time soaking at a spa, and it was just so beautiful and breath taking. I even got a little gift bag after i was done. I can't explain how much of a good experience I had today. Thank you very much! ❣️Kiwi

Went for the first time today and had an incredible experience! Check in was smooth, the girl was very kind and welcoming. Nina did my Swedish massage with perfect pressure and really worked out my shoulder knots just like I needed. I was able to relax and drink champagne afterwards in the quiet room. This was the perfect treat for myself after taking a 7h test yesterday. Thank you guys! And anyone who goes, you’re in for a great experience.

Booked a Swedish massage with Gabrielle; her technique with her elbows and hands had me feeling relaxed and rejuvenated after my appointment. I almost couldn't get up because I wanted to sleep in the massage bed. lol We focused on my head, neck, and back. Robes are hefty yet soft, the ladies at the front desk were sweet and attentive. Thank y'all for making my first visit welcoming and warm.

We loved this place!!! You walk into elegance and peace and it’s stocked with amenities. We only had a small window of time but it was so relaxing and they thought of everything I wish we could’ve stayed longer! My masseuse, Cassandra, was phenomenal! She was incredibly attentive to my body’s needs and my body language. She was patient and thorough. I felt completely rejuvenated and I would definitely recommend this facility and Cassandra to anyone!

*this was a prior 3 star review* The facility was really nice and I liked the robes. Upon arriving, I was rushed to change clothes and was not offered a hot tea or anything to drink besides the water that was in the waiting room. Directions were not clearly given to me of how things worked at this facility. I felt a bit confused. My massage was OK even though we started late. It went a few minutes short of the allotted time that I paid for. Would I go back? Yes, if it was a gift. I changed my score! The facility manager called me after I left a previous 3 star review a couple weeks ago and offered me a complimentary service. I had it yesterday and it was 5 star. The whole experience was what I was hoping for from this company. I loved the massage therapist and was able to utilize all the amenities they had to offer. Tea, snacks and relaxing before my appointment were really nice. I was shown how to use the locker and how the shower experience works there. I didn’t want the whole experience to end, I will be back.

Yesterday I had 2 appts with Julie, holistic rejuvenation manicure and pedicure. I had never been to this place before. I used a gift certificate from a wonderful family. Julie was pleasant and kind and did an amazing job on my nails. I loved the scrub she used. After that I had a relaxing pedicure. I enjoyed a delicious pineapple mimosa during the services. And can I just say that Julie’s manicure was fire 🔥 - and she did it herself!! Beautiful place and atmosphere. I’d go again Lisa

Nestled in the heart of nature, Loma de Vida Spa & Wellness stands as a tranquil retreat perched atop one of San Antonio's highest elevations. This serene sanctuary offers stunning vistas of the expansive Texas sky, inviting guests to unwind and rejuvenate. The spa beautifully marries traditional treatments like massages and facials with unique local experiences that reflect the spirit of Hill Country. By integrating advanced technology with natural elements, Loma de Vida creates a holistic approach to wellness that promotes balance and tranquility.
I came here using a spa pass for the day and it was also my first time doing so! It was really beautiful, really clean, really calming, it smelled so good, and I would 100% come back here again! I loved lounging in the pool and the scenery from the pool was really nice to look at as well. The staff were great and everybody seemed incredibly nice. The experience was really relaxing, and you can literally spend an entire day here and it will seem like it flies by! I highly recommend coming here and using a spa pass so that you can go to the pool, there is a gym, a vitality, pool, a coed section, a dry sauna, a steam sauna, different areas to relax at, and there was a café there as well. 10/10!
Kristin C — Google review
We want to start by saying this spa is a true Hill Country oasis. The facilities are modern and well maintained, the views are beautiful, and the staff are warm and welcoming. Arguably the best spa in the San Antonio area which is why it is deserving of 5 Stars. However, our one minor gripe is that the co-ed space is limited to a lounge and an outdoor infinity pool. We want to stress that the co-ed spaces available are amazing and we enjoyed using them, but we wish there had been a co-ed sauna, steam room, or salt cave that our whole party could enjoy together. We would have really enjoyed a few more co-ed spaces indoors as sometimes the Texas heat can be a bit too much. All that being said, the gender-specific areas were fantastic! Each had their own mineral plunge pool, sauna, and steam room as well as incredible locker room facilities. We booked a 60 minute Swedish Massage and our massage therapists were great! The staff were terrific all-around, they were attentive and extremely kind each time they came to check on how we were doing. Loma de Vida Spa was worth the visit and we would definitely consider spending another day here down the road! *NOTE: all photos were taken in the early morning when Spa had just opened*

First time here. What an absolutely fabulous spa! The grounds are stunningly beautiful. The indoor, relaxation and treatment areas are top notch. First time got 60 mins deep tissue massage with Jacque.. he did awesome, professionally and right in the spot massage... waiting room and sauna, hot tub (need to be updated)in women function packed like a zoo probably i went on Sunday... swimming pool outdoor was nice view and decent side. Women room just put plastic glasses of the complementary and towels everywhere.. the young lady (i didn't catched her name was working diligently even seem overwhelmed loaded with gracefully presentable. Little pricey but worth the good massage. Good hot tea, little munchies but no memosa like Hyatt tho

I really wanted to like the Spa at La Cantara but it fell short in several ways. We booked pedicures which allow access to the spa and spa pool for the day. The spa pool was lovely but the pool itself was very cold. So much so that everyone was shocked when they got in the water and several people refused to get in at all. Disappointing and makes a day swimming impossible. The spa pedicure was a highlight as the pedicure staff was excellent. The locker rooms, while very pretty, the designated "quiet area" is not at all quiet and filled with people in the mineral pool talking loudly. (Possibly because the outdoor pool was so cold ). The worst part is that the showers had no hot water. I heard several people tell staff but it was never resolved during our visit. I understand there may have been mechanical difficulties impacting the cold pool and no hot showers in the locker rooms but patrons should be made aware or in some way compensated for the lack of service. I did also hear two other groups in discussion with the manager about issues with their visit. For a spa at this price point and caliber they should navigate these types of issues more effectively.

The spa was awesome! It was so relaxing and peaceful. The massage was nice and I love how they use organic things when you have your facial. They have sauna, and jacuzzi in the lockers. They have a swing you can relax on outside the spa, and you have a view of some parts of the golf course, and a flower patch with butterflies and birds flying around. Aside from coffee and tea, wine and mimosas are complimentary.
Jess ( — Google review
We visited the Hyatt Regency for a Valentine's weekend, and I spent most of my time at Windflower Spa. The spa is a little dated but i think pretty nice. There was work being done at the spa (I think hvac) so they had relocated the massage/ facial rooms to the hotel which was fine, a short walk outside and the weather was great so it didn't matter. I scheduled a facial, followed by a full body massage. There were several people also receiving services. So the lady shows me around after I arrive and she points out the lockers, showers, hot tub, coed area, steam room, dry sauna, waiting room, dressing area, everything. What she didn't do is walk me over to the steam room entrance to see that there was a notice on the door stating it was out of order. She knew this, but said nothing. Ok, so no steam room, I can deal with that I guess. Next, there was no seating in the locker area or dressing area (where the sink and mirrors are). Ok, I guess I can stand and do my hair and make up. Minor inconveniences but still, with those prices I was assuming everything would be perfect. The outdoor area facing the golf course was comfy. Nice huge swings hanging from the huge oak tree. The pool area outside was good, had seating, hammocks, comfy. There were snacks, infused water, fresh fruit. My facial was very basic, lots of rubbing, no pore cleaning or massage, just rubbing. There also wasn't really wasn't a scent, like a calming scent in the room or a scent for the CBD items i paid for them to use in my facial. It felt good but not 215$ good, not even close. I spoke with my masseuse beforehand and let him know the area I needed deeeeep tissue massage. I don't know if he was scared to hurt me but I kept saying it's ok you can do it harder. I finally just stopped talking. It was nice, but not 265$ nice, not even close. I'm not trying to bash the spa but I think they can improve by reading not only my review but several others. I have traveled and visited spas around the country and Windflower was nice, but I think that for the quality of service, it's overpriced. In Texas, I'd rate several spas higher than this and they were not quite this expensive. Now you may think it's a money issue, but I'd pay double what I did if I knew I'd be getting a deeper tissue massage like I asked for plus use of all amenities (and all of them in working order) for the duration of my stay. I only could use the amenities day of, $20 charge for any other day of my stay which doesn't sound like much but at least let me know that the steam room isn't working! Did I mention the Q tips? I've bought cheap Q tips before but these must have cost .0001 cent for 50,000 of them! Worst Q tips I've ever used! Do not use the Q tips in your ear bcuz they are so flimsy they'll break right off. Just weird that a resort/spa would skimp on something like that.

Everything was spectacular except the massage. The massage therapist had long, ragged nails and he kept scratching me. It was also really more of a rub, no kneading. Disappointing. The facilities however are top tier. My husband and I went for our anniversary and had a wonderful day. I would try this place again but request a different massage therapist.

I have visited your salon several times in the past, and I’ve always been impressed by the exceptional skills of your massage therapists and nail artists. However, I was very disappointed with how my recent inquiry regarding an expired gift card was handled. I reached out in the hope of receiving some understanding or assistance, but unfortunately, there was no effort made to help—not even the smallest gesture. I would have truly appreciated even the slightest sign of goodwill. Instead, I felt dismissed as if I were just a troublesome customer. This experience was deeply disappointing, especially given the high regard I had for your services.

I purchased a package deal on Groupon for this spa. I’d been to the hotel, but not yet the spa. The grounds are gorgeous with tons of tree cover for shade. The spa staff were warm & welcoming. They gave the quick tour & offered complimentary beverages, including mimosas. Our fave was the half OJ, half strawberry mimosa, it’s delicious! They have an outdoor pool for lounging or swimming laps. The pool has a lot of shade, not ideal if you’re looking to sunbathe. There are a good number of fun chairs, hammocks and the sort hanging around outdoor areas by the spa. Their gift shop is extraordinary with various price points. A few items available include swimwear, lounge clothing, dresses, jewelry and bath products. Inside the spa is a small jacuzzi, steam room & sauna. Services were done by seasoned professionals. The value is appropriate using the Groupon, otherwise, a bit high. Overall, I recommend & plan to return (using a Groupon).

The Alamo, situated in downtown San Antonio, is a significant historical complex and a must-visit for over 2.5 million annual tourists. This iconic site played a pivotal role in Texan history, witnessing events from Spanish colonization to the Texas Revolution. The fortress holds great significance as it was where a small group of Texans valiantly defended against General Santa Anna's forces for thirteen days. Today, it stands as a symbol of courage and sacrifice for liberty.
Had a great visit. The folks here are really passionate about the Alamo, and it shows in everything they do. If you enjoy historical sites you can really appreciate the way everything is presented, displayed and maintained. There is so much to see, read and interact with, they truly did a spectacular job. It is worth booking in advance for the church and the museum. Also plan a day or half day to look at everything, stroll through the gardens and have lunch or dinner nearby. Plenty of restaurants and additional attractions.

An amazing historic site in the middle of San Antonio. Seems like they are restoring more buildings of the site that wee present at various times. Very good audio visual content available even with the free ticket. The surrounding plaza with various shops, restaurants, activities, and a mall is quite nice.

As others warned me before my visit - it's smaller than you expect. I feel like I need to do the same PSA because that lowering of expectation allowed me to enjoy the whole experience more lol. The queue for the only remaining structure - the church is crazy long, I stepped out and just explored the rest of the area instead. I liked the Phil Collins voiceover of the sequence of events over the diorama which helped me visualize and imagine how crazy the whole thing was.

I visited the Alamo in San Antonio and really enjoyed learning about the history behind this important landmark. The museum is fascinating, and I especially liked seeing the old guns and historic artifacts that help tell the story. The original building and the church area where people once hid felt very peaceful and almost holy, like stepping back in time. The grounds are beautiful and well cared for, and the displays make it easy to understand what happened here. Definitely worth the visit!

Alright, Texas travelers, I recently made a return trip to the Alamo, and I have to tell y'all, if you haven't been in the last few years, you are missing out! The Alamo Plan is seriously underway, and during my recent visit, it felt like such a new space to explore. The effort to restore dignity and reverence to the site is profound. I was particularly struck by the new features that help you truly understand the scale of the 1836 battlefield—seeing the Palisade Exhibit and the Mission Gate and Lunette helped me picture the historic footprint like never before. Plus, the incredible Alamo Exhibit at the Ralston Family Collections Center is now open! It’s the first new construction since the 1950s and houses all the artifacts (including the Phil Collins Collection) under one roof. Walking through the Plaza, with the section of Alamo Street now closed to cars, creates such a quiet, respectful atmosphere that lets the history speak for itself. If you visited the Alamo years ago, I strongly encourage you to come and re-explore this new space! It’s a transformative, emotional, and educational experience that honors the heart of Texas history in a way that feels fresh and vital. From Texas with ❤️ -april

Remember The Alamo! The Alamo is central to understanding the story and identity of San Antonio and Texas. We experienced the "Victory or Death” audio tour which covers the site's 300-year history, from its origin as a Spanish mission to the 1836 Battle of the Alamo. The audio tour guides us through the Alamo Church, across the grounds, and includes other stops. The tour is available in multiple languages. The Alamo features both original cannons and historically accurate replicas that were used in the battle of 1836. A fully operational, fireable model of the 18-pounder cannon is among the most remarkable. We also witnessed the musket firing which is a 15-minute demonstration given by the Alamo Living History staff that includes a live firing from a flintlock firearm, the same kind of weapon used during the 1836 Battle. The gift shop has unique souvenir collections. This historic site is well-preserved and has sufficient information to understand the Texas revolution. We spent an entire day to explore this amazing piece of history.

Awesome!!!!! This historic site offers a glimpse into Texas history, with well-preserved masonry and informative plaques. The entrance is free of charge but you can pay for a self guided tour or a guided tour. Also they have a variety of souvenirs in the gift shop. Once you visit the Alamo you can take a short walk to the River Walk. Tip: visit during the Day of the Dead Celebration and experience a city full of color, music, food, drinks and a lot of happy visitors enjoying the free activities during the day or night.

The Alamo is a wonderful place to visit, but it lacks having handicap doors. The doors are very heavy and with my husband in a wheelchair, we could not get into several places without a struggle, this includes the restroom. The older generation visits the Alamo very frequently and it would be extremely helpful to have staff on hand to assist with doors.

Located in San Antonio, the Pearl Brewery is a historic complex that was once the headquarters of a brewing company. Now, it has been transformed into a vibrant community with shops, restaurants, and residences. The complex features beautiful yellow brick buildings, stables, and courtyards that have been restored and repurposed to house boutique shops and unique dining concepts. Visitors can enjoy a weekend market as one of its main attractions.
Perfect date spot, perfect walking spot, perfect place to stay, perfect place to bring your kids, just an overall amazing area to go and spend a day walking around. You can walk the river walk, see wildlife, have a photo shoot, and even fish in some spots. The market has a lovely ice cream area where you can get some cold desserts and have a seat right outside. There is a small green area for kids to play on and they have movies there sometimes. Awesome date spot and just a go to place. Be careful with your parking, they will give tickets for not parking far enough away from the curb.

The Pearl in San Antonio offers a vibrant blend of historic charm and modern flair, making it one of the city’s most unique destinations. Once a brewery complex, it’s now a walkable district filled with boutique shops, excellent restaurants, a lively weekend farmers market, and the beautiful Hotel Emma. The mix of industrial architecture, green spaces, and cultural events creates an upscale yet laid-back atmosphere that appeals to both locals and tourists. Whether you’re grabbing a coffee, dining riverside, or exploring the local art scene, The Pearl delivers a memorable and stylish experience.

Wow, just wow. I was super impressed with this space. You're not sure what you're going to when someone tells you to go to the Pearl; however, it's like a little mini district off the Riverwalk trail. I walked there to the Pearl, and it was a great space. I'm sad I got there after 10:00 pm, as it was still lively enough. I would recommend going earlier to see a lot more, as there was a lot going on, but a lot of vendors were already shutting down, so I missed out on some things. This space has many vendors to choose from for drinks and food. Sadly enough, I didn't get a chance to try any of the food here, as I was walking around trying to find other spaces that looked like everything was shutting down. If you're in the San Antonio Riverwalk area, I would suggest anyone to come and check out this space.

Highly recommend during any trip to San Antonio, short or long stay. We came on our week-long San Antonio to Austin visit, and it was a SA highlight. We arrived at Pearl on a Wednesday around 5:30pm, just in time for their evening market. The mall stores were closed or closing, but the local vendor options were great. The Pearl was bustling with young people, families and locals. We stopped in the food market for a drink and met some locals who gave us other San Antonio recommendations, but they said Pearl is the best area for family-friendly evening activities.

Definitely a nice place to stroll in the spring or fall cooler temps, or possibly early in the morning during the summer months. I visited this area today and dined at one of the local eateries. I was pleasantly surprised how this area has been transformed for the better. I will be back to walk around and visit another spot to dine. I enjoyed myself and my visit and hope you do too. I added some pictures of the area, although I know i did NOT do the area justice.

I had the chance to attend The Pearl’s Día de los Muertos celebration, and it was truly an unforgettable experience! The event attracted a huge crowd, and for good reason—the energy was fantastic. The atmosphere was lively, with beautiful artwork on display at various locations throughout the venue. From intricate Catrinas to colorful alebrije sculptures and oversized skulls, the art was a stunning tribute to the tradition. We spent some time walking around and admiring the displays, and I have to say, the talent and creativity were impressive. As for food, the usual vendors were in full swing, offering all the classic festival treats. We grabbed some delicious pan de muerto from Pullman Market, which was a perfect bite to enjoy while soaking in the sights. Music was another highlight of the night. The DJ set the mood with upbeat tunes, but the real magic came when the mariachi band took over. Their live performance added an authentic touch, and really made the evening feel special, especially as we awaited the procession. Speaking of the procession—it was such a meaningful part of the evening, adding a touch of reverence and beauty to the event. The energy was palpable as everyone gathered to participate in this traditional ritual. However, while the event itself was amazing, there was a hiccup when it came time to leave. The Oxbow parking garage system wasn’t working properly, and we found ourselves stuck in a massive line of cars trying to exit. We were at a standstill for about 20 minutes before I called Pearl's security. They explained that the system had malfunctioned earlier but had been fixed. Unfortunately, we ended up waiting for another 40 minutes after the call, as the line wasn’t moving at all. Some drivers were getting frustrated and even honking or trying to cut into the line. Even with the parking mishap, the event itself was absolutely beautiful. The weather was perfect—cool, crisp air with the moon shining brightly overhead. It truly made for a memorable evening, and despite the exit frustration, I’d still recommend attending next year. The Pearl’s Día de los Muertos celebration is definitely one to experience!

I was here at the Pearl yesterday reviewing the Central Market Rotisserie Chicken when it dawned on me. San Antonio is AWESOME. There is so much soul in this city. I've had some amazing food from Taquitos West Ave, 2M BBQ, Al Carbon Pollos Asado, etc, but what really sold me was the community feel in this city. The Pearl is a huge walkable plaza with great restaurants, coffee shops, seating areas, a river walk, public events, etc. Yesterday there was a seemingly endless farmers market going on with local vendors selling everything you could ever need, kids playing tackle football in an open green pasture, and people just enjoying their Sunday in the sun with a beer or some fresh grub from Palmer Market. There is such a strong community here. It's infectious. I pride myself on forming my own opinions on damn near everything, almost to a fault at times, but this weekend has made me realize that I let Charles Barkley and my hatred for the early 2000s San Antonio Spurs form my opinion on this city. Never again. I will ride or die for San Antonio for the rest of my time here on this planet. IG @jnov_ Tiktok @jnov__

As someone entering into her 50’s I desperately was looking into starting my journey into youthfulness to include skin care and injections of my problem areas but was hesitant because I wanted to remain as natural looking as possible and not sure of how to approach the process. When I met Candis for the first time I immediately was impressed with her clinical knowledge, patience with my questions and her genuine interest in my goals. I felt reassured and confident that our care plan was right for me, we’ve accomplished measurable results in just a few treatments and my once deprived skin is on a healing journey. I appreciate her advice and responsiveness to all my questions. Folawns is fortunate to have such amazing talent, knowledgeable and professional expert on staff!

From the moment I walked in and was offered a beverage and throughout my entire hair treatment, I felt very pampered and well taken care of. I had Mandi as my stylist and she took the time to listen to my hair concerns and was positively responsive to my needs. I got a bob cut and a ombré coloring. She explained how each product she was using benefited my hair and how to recreate the look she did while blow drying. I will be back in a few months for touch ups and can’t recommend Mandi and Folawns enough!

Update: Calling me a liar Is probably the biggest insult you could give me. I am not a liar. I am a veteran that held a secret clearance, I have no reason to lie. I reached out to see if the blunt lines on my roots could be blended…and was offered $20 off. I did NOT dye my hair…I have no idea where that’s even coming from, again calling me a liar. I would love to see the photos from my original appointment (which they don’t have, because I did, in fact walk out with wet hair lol) and see if it looked anything like the reference photo of what I wanted. My hair looks identical to the photos now, minus it being grown out. Yes, the appointment was in November. After having a bad first experience, talking to the owner, and then getting charged an additional $470, I’m not sure how I was expected to reach out, and get charged even more money? I felt taken advantage of. I want to be clear, after the first appointment where I did in fact leave with wet hair, I was charged $242, after coming in and having it re-toned was $47, and to have it fixed was $470. I provided receipts in the photos. So to be clear, the total I was charged was $759. I’ve added photos and screenshotted the dates of when the photos were taken. The photos after the first appointment were taken October 25th, my first appointment was on September 13th. The one with my roots is from November 28th, so 19 days after…less than a month. Blotchy toned purple and brassy yellow…19 days later. I’m unsure of how I am somehow responsible for the blunt bleach lines on my roots. After paying $759, I’d expect it would look good for more than a month, and I wouldn’t be embarrassed of it. This has been such an insulting experience. I’ve literally avoided getting my hair done because of it. I won’t ever go back, which is unfortunate. I’ve literally spent thousands there, and to be disrespected by a place I once trusted is so disappointing. I suppose if you want your hair to last longer than its first wash, I’d go elsewhere. Oh man. Let me say first, all the ladies here are super sweet and really nice. I previously had good experiences with Marissa, and I don’t want this to seem like I’m taking it out on everyone. I went to Marley (who is so nice to talk to), but the first time I went in, I asked for a blonde balayage similar to the one in the photo. They closed at 8, and I ended up leaving with wet hair, and it definitely wasn’t even close to being done processing. I’ve never had issues with my hair lifting in one go, I’m naturally a dirty blonde. The first photo (of me) is what I came home with….after $300. After going in and requesting to get it re-toned (another $50) I ended up talking to either the owner or the manager, who said to rebook an appointment with the same girl so she could learn from the mistakes or whatnot. I reluctantly agreed, and was charged another $400. I loved the shop, but I can’t go spending hundreds on something that literally makes me embarrassed to go out in. lol I still have really brassy parts on top that weren’t done processing, and there’s no blending into my roots, it’s all blocky and blunt. I’ve tried toning it myself since, and it just doesn’t seem to stick. I hate writing bad reviews, and again many of the girls in there are great, I just don’t want someone else to end up spending $750 for this.

Came in from Houston and needed a haircut last minute for my birthday. Kathryn (Kat) walked me through registration online and scheduled me quickly. I've been going to the same barber in Houston for 14 years so I was definitely nervous. I was pleasantly surprised when she started, it was very clear she was confident and knew exactly what I needed and had in mind. I got a low zero fade, beard trim, shampoo and style. Kat is a master of her craft and I would highly recommend any gentleman looking for an executive cut and experience.

This spa experience was great. We went in for a deep tissue couples massage. The masseuse were professional and courteous. They made us feel welcome and relaxed. There is a relaxation room to sit in before and or after your massage. Charcuterie board, water, champagne, etc. We did not stay at the hotel however valet parking was included in our spa reservation which really gave it an overall relaxing carefree experience. Who wants to deal with parking after getting pampered?!

My sisters and I planned a girls’ weekend for my mom’s 80th birthday. Ten of us between the ages of 27-80 met up for a weekend of fun and pampering! From the moment we arrived, Gigi and her staff made my mom feel like a Queen! All 10 of us felt like royalty the whole weekend. The spa party was so fun and relaxing! Gigi helped me plan the event and made sure every detail was perfect. If I could give 10 stars I would!

Went here for a “mommy & me” day and was not disappointed. They offered complimentary valet which we really enjoyed and the spa experience was fantastic! I got the “Bye-Bye Breakouts” w/ added Lip Enrichment while my mom got a “Deep Tissue Massage”. We booked for 50min and enjoyed every minute of it. Very relaxing, high-quality, and overall enjoyable. The beds were narrow but comfy and came pre-heated. The towels were nice and warm, and the workers washed their hands frequently. Pro tip: if you don’t want to wait 45min for your car back, leave before checkout time. They prioritize those guests first and let me tell you there are a lot 😭😭

Nestled beneath the Menger Hotel, the Alamo Plaza Spa offers a unique and unassuming space focused on healing treatments rather than opulent luxury. The spa's reasonable prices make it an accessible option for those seeking relaxation and rejuvenation. While lacking traditional amenities like hot tubs or saunas, the treatment rooms provide a cozy and intimate setting for massages and other services. Visitors recommend arriving early to secure parking and enjoy the underground entrance by the pool.
Absolutely wonderful couples massage! Lisa and Olga were phenomenal, and I would consider myself a pretty hard massage critic, it takes a lot to impress me! Olga did my massage and she was fabulous, you can tell that she has studied the art of massage and I can honestly say i've never had a better massage than the one I had with her. The steam room was an added bonus, we loved it. The entire experience was great and we are planning to go back again - wish we lived closer. Highly recommend!!

The spa is a little tricky to find and I do wish the rooms were enclosed so I wouldn't hear other people (currently there are curtains separating the rooms). However, the massage was very relaxing and Martha defintiely addressed my key problem areas. I do wish some more deep tissue massage was done on my back - A firm rubbing/stroke technique was used which I can't say I was the biggest fan of. My husband had the deep tissue massage which started off excellent, but his back was the main focus and he said that his arms and legs were hardly adressed, which he was a little disappointed about. I think what would help is having those human diagrams on the paperwork where people can circle the areas they want massaged. Overall, a nice experience!

I am so happy I took a chance and made an appointment here! Even though it is difficult to find, the entrance is by the pool and it is a really nifty staircase leading under ground.. Get there early! The parking lots go from 5$ to 20$ after 9am, but it is worth it. These ladies are just a delight and my husband and I enjoyed every moment. I feel like an ass for not remembering the two ladies names that worked on us, which I guess means the massages were good lol! The ladies that did mine was great, I am 7.5 months pregnant and she made me feel so comfortable. She even gave me tips to have the hubs work on certain spots at home to make my hips stop hurting.. (they totally work!) It was the most relaxing experience and when we go back to San Antonio, we will be returning! Thank you ladies!

I agree regarding knowledgeable staff, good massages, and great price. Atmosphere and amenities take the experience down drastically. There is a reason you only see stock photos, the place is in old and dingy basement that looks like it belongs in a Steven King movie. If you have ever been to a nice spa, you will be sadly disappointed. Guys, you will look like a fool if you get this for your girl. My wife and I laughed the entire time, had to make it somewhat fun.

When people think of San Antonio, the River Walk is often the second thing that comes to mind after The Alamo. This renowned attraction features beautiful stone pathways and bridges along the river, exclusively for pedestrians. It's a must-see experience in San Antonio, especially if you're visiting with kids. Located in downtown, it offers an amazing and unique way to explore the city.
The San Antonio River Walk is absolutely magical! Strolling along the river feels like stepping into a whole new world—beautifully lit walkways, charming bridges, and the peaceful sound of the water flowing beside you. We loved how clean and well-maintained everything was, and the landscaping with flowers and greenery made the whole experience even more scenic. There’s something for everyone here: fantastic restaurants with outdoor patios right on the water, plenty of shops and local artists, and so many great spots for photos—especially at sunset when the lights start to glow along the river. We took one of the boat tours, which gave us a fun and relaxing way to learn about the history of the area. It’s lively but still feels safe and welcoming, whether you’re out during the day or enjoying the nightlife in the evening. The River Walk is a must-see destination if you’re visiting San Antonio, and we’re already looking forward to coming back.

The river walk is absolutely romantic, beautiful and a must see if you're near the area. I couldn't believe I was still in Texas because I felt like I was transported to Spain or Italy. I highly recommend dining in one of the restaurants next to the river, it's so good for the soul.

A really unique place to visit. A city within a city! Below the bustling streets of San Antonio lies the River Walk, surrounded by hotels, restaurants, and bars. Wander around with drink in hand and visit numerous establishments offering great food and drink. Also gives the opportunity to hop on a boat for a river cruise.

San Antonio River Walk Review – A Magical Family Destination specially at night. The San Antonio River Walk is a truly enchanting spot that blends natural beauty, vibrant culture, and family-friendly fun. Strolling along the winding river paths feels like stepping into a storybook—especially during the holidays, when twinkling lights and festive decor transform the area into a magical wonderland. Christmas time is particularly breathtaking, though it does draw large crowds. One of the highlights is the scenic boat ride, offering a relaxing way to take in the architecture, bridges, and lively atmosphere. Lining the river are countless restaurants, from casual bites to upscale dining, making it easy to find something delicious for every taste. Horse-drawn carriage rides add a romantic or whimsical touch, perfect for couples or kids who love a bit of old-world charm. That said, weekends and holidays can get quite crowded. Navigating with a stroller is tricky, especially near staircases and narrow walkways. While the roads beside the River Walk are wide and designed to handle foot traffic, the sheer volume of visitors during peak times can make movement slow and a bit overwhelming. Despite these challenges, the River Walk remains a must-visit destination. Whether you're exploring with family, enjoying a date night, or simply soaking in the ambiance, it offers a unique blend of relaxation and excitement. Just plan ahead if you're bringing little ones or visiting during busy seasons—and prepare to be charmed.

Must-do on a visit to San Antonio, particularly in or around Downtown. We came and stayed near the river on part of a short San Antonio-Austin trip and had a blast. The River Walk feels what we can only compare to as Vegas and Disney but cleaner. It's touristy but fun and beautiful. We visited during the week in early Fall, which was a great time. Impressed with how clean the walk is - lots of young people, families and local business people out and about. The boat tour was a lot of fun as well. We happened to be here during air force boot camp graduation, and it was so nice to see a lot of families out and about and celebrating.
Sammi — Google review
I came here on a solo mission to see what the Riverwalk was about. This was a 15 minute Uber from Westover Hills and once I arrived the place was packed. There was a day of the dead celebration going on. People were dressed up in costumes and watching the water parade which I've never seen before. I was immediately immersed in the culture of the town, music and style of San Antonio's riverwalk. The art is so beautiful and the costumes are fun. The riverwalk was too tight for my liking on a busy night. For a nicely paced day, I would suggest going on a non-holiday or during the day. There's tons of different styles of restaurants and shops to choose from in an around the riverwalk. I came back another day with my elder family members during the day and it was less crowded. We took the boat ride which was about 30m in total. That was a nice touch to get a lay of the land without having to do all the walking during the heat. Bring your good walking shoes and have the elders take sitting breaks. I can see this being a hot spot for 21 year old's up to late 50's if your up to all the moving around and going out for dining experiences.

It is such a beautiful area, me and my wife enjoy it so much. Very outgoing and family friendly. We walk so much and we don't even realize it, we're having so much fun.

Shopping mall
The Rim is a sprawling shopping center in San Antonio, offering a wide variety of brand-name stores, restaurants, and entertainment options. With over 100 shops in an outdoor mall setting, visitors can explore familiar anchor stores like Target, Bass Pro Shops, JC Penney, and Lowes alongside numerous specialty stores and service providers. The area also features the Santikos Palladium for movies and other entertainment venues such as sports bars and a bowling alley.
I'm not sure if this is asking me about my hotel stay or my shopping experience because everything in this area is labled "The Rim" but I'm staying at Home 2 Suites by Hilton at the Rim and it's very nice and clean. I haven't found anything I'd change or rather have different. Our suite has a pull out sofa, allowing plenty of room for our family of 5. Also has a kitchenette. I appreciate the shower things in the bathroom, and plenty of towels and pillows unlike some hotels (if you know what I mean, you always have to ask for more). Plenty of storage in the room as well. Outdoor pool and 2 outdoor seating areas. All hotel staff are very accommodating and friendly. Shopping nearby within 3-5 minutes.

I was in the area and stopped by the nearby target. It's a nice area besides construction but still nice. We had walked from a ross that was next door to see they had a sign out for a upcoming movie night event. I thought it was very interesting. I like going to the area to browse my shopping options

I've only visited a handful of times and I'm guessing google wants a general review of all the stores and environment. - Current construction makes the roads hot garbage for sports cars. - The Whataburger here is actually good (on a good day) and can fight in n out. - Good variety of chain and local stores. - Standard Americanized restaurant fare with some decent local restaurants. Overall.... I don't see a reason to come back here unless you live nearby, are bored with your area or you like attending the car meet every 2nd Sunday of each month. The car meets are pretty neat though. Especially if you want your kids to have a good time.

Everything is a chain pretty much. If you like this type of crap then come here. Otherwise go find some better places or learn how to cook at home. Shopping is fine because you don't have many choices around the area unless you ship online or drive across town. Expect to overspend because the side of town you are on people just over pay for chain food.

The Rim is an awesome shopping center located in San Antonio, TX!! Per their website, “The RIM is a mixed-use, master-planned development comprised of world class retail, restaurant, and entertainment offerings.” There is lots of parking available (surface + free garage), and there is a huge offering of restaurants and stores in the area as well. This shopping center is quite very well-kept + clean, making it all the more inviting!!

Always one of my favorite places to go take my dogs for some environmental training. They also have some really great dog toys. Anything u may need for outdoor, they have here.

Great shopping center. Wish they had more/better restaurants. Parking can be an issue in parts of the complex. Too much valet parking, IMO.

Everything is great. Good shops and variety of pretty much anything you need, just a bit of a walk to travel to various stores.

La Cantera Resort & Spa is a luxurious retreat nestled in the Texas Hill Country, offering a variety of accommodations from polished rooms to spacious villas. The resort boasts six restaurants, two golf courses, and five pools, including an adults-only infinity pool with stunning views. Loma de Vida Spa provides indulgent treatments using local ingredients like beeswax and honey. The resort's Texas ranch theme is reflected in its architecture and amenities, providing guests with a true taste of Texan hospitality.
The resort is gorgeous inside and out! I loved hanging out by the pool and hot tub while visiting. Wait staff took great care of me by the pool and the food and drinks were delicious. I ordered the rum punch and the kid's burger. That burger was huge! I highly recommend staying here!

I just want to be clear that I was NOT a guest here, and my rating is based solely on my experience in the spa (the sound bath class). I also hate writing bad reviews!! I hate being that person who writes them, but I feel so strongly about this because sound baths are supposed to be deeply sacred and meditative. This felt very stage-y and honestly so uncomfortable. My husband and I booked the sound bath class because I have been to a few other sessions a couple of years ago at different yoga studios, and my experiences were always so pleasant and calming. I will try and give the most constructive feedback without being rude. I have to start by saying that the instructor was super sweet. I just really wish she would have given more guidance throughout the session. She gave about 5 minutes of guidance for an HOUR long session. That is a really long time to have people who are first timers sit through a meditation. Maybe she was just going off of a strict guideline that the resort had provided for her to follow. Who knows! Second, the room that the sound baths are given in is AWFUL. It’s a room set behind the gym.. where you can hear all of the treadmills and other exercising machines during the session. The room is all concrete and windows. Which causes the bowls to create a VERY loud vibration thought out the room for the entire session. It sounded more like an alarm going off than anything. I kept wondering if this was all in my head, and if I was the only one struggling with the sound and volume. My husband felt the same way. The room has giant glass windows that peer out into the pool area, which has people looking in and walking by the entire time. (Please get some blinds or curtains!?!?) It felt super uncomfortable and honestly just made the experience a disappointment. The room is so bright, you can’t feel calm or peaceful with the sun blaring in on you, and people constantly looking in. Every other sound bath I’ve been to is sure to set the mood with dim lighting and a relaxing environment. Again, I might be a bit dramatic.. but sound baths and meditations are deeply sacred experiences for most people. That is why I’m writing this, if there’s anyone else out there who is looking for an actual spiritual, meaningful, and ego-free sound bath experience, this is not the place. I would rate this experience 0 stars, but giving it 2 because the instructor was sweet, and I don’t blame any of this experience on her at all.

I stayed at La Cantera Resort & Spa and it was absolutely perfect from start to finish. I booked a room to ask my now-girlfriend out, and the entire experience couldn’t have been more fitting for the occasion. The staff went above and beyond I mentioned what I was doing, and they set us up with a top-floor room with two balconies and the most incredible views. The adult pool and hot tub were amazing, especially at night peaceful, romantic, and exactly the vibe I was hoping for. Valet made everything easy and took great care of our vehicle. Whether you’re planning something special or just want a staycation that feels like a true getaway, I can’t recommend La Cantera enough. 10/10 experience!
Caine B — Google review
Took the family to La Cantera over 4th of July, as it was one of the most recommended resorts in the State. The resort itself is beautiful, the amenities are wonderful as is the location, and spa (honestly the only enjoyable part of our stay 5 stars to the spa!!!) . However for the caliber of resort the organization and service at this resort miss the mark by far. During the 4th of July week/weekend they had many events/activities scheduled for families (these events required ticket purchases). Many of the events were incredibly unorganized (started late, early, changed location last minute without reasonable notification) as well as many of the events were in the common areas so all guest would take part without staff checking if tickets were purchased. It was off putting, the lack of respect for the guests and what they had invested in the activities and their stay was disappointing. In addition, when we checked in the bell man pulled one of our bags out of our trunk and scrapped it across the bumper causing a paint chip the size of a nickel (car was 5 months old). We did not see it at the time but noticed it the next morning when valet pulled our car up. We immediately addressed it and valet was quick to deny any blame. We asked to view cameras as we were able to pull up home cameras showing the chip was not on the vehicle the day prior. Management assured us that the cameras would be reviewed and they would have a solution for us ASAP. A day and a half later, no updated. We had to pester the management to get an answer which resulted in them admitting fault and confirmed that their “loss prevention” team would be in contact to get the estimated repair costs and reimbursement taken care of. Once we were home we took the car to the dealership to get the estimated costs and sent them to the loss prevention team. They asked if they could provide us with another stay, which we declined and requested a refund to our card (in the amount of the repairs) from the charges during our stay. It is now November and we have yet to receive a response or resolution. We have made it a tradition to spend our 4th of July as a family at a texas Resort, and many all over the Texas Hill country have impressed (especially Hyatt Hill Country) but unfortunately we can’t say we have any desire to return to La Cantera, comped stay or not.

You can see that the funiture in the rooms are at the end of their life. The porters, cleaning crew, and valets are excellent. The guest services I give a 2 out of 5. We had 5 rooms and less than good service. One night I found that a previous guest left buggers/nose mucus on my bedding. It took about about 20 minutes of calling house keeping, the front desk, and every number we could find for the resort before walking to the lobby to get replacement bedding. The front desk person could not have cared less. Yes, we had to make the bed for ourselves. It is great to have the restaurants on site but get ready to pay above reasonable for everything. This hotel is very overpriced.

Fantastic resort. Regular visitor for business but brought my family to experience this time and they loved it. The resort is amazing and the staff are excellent too. Special mention to Mercedes at the restaurant at breakfast who was so helpful and extremely kind. 5*’s to her and the resort in general!

Pool was a pretty awful experience. We paid over $250 for a daybed and the server kept telling me the rose he was bringing me was champagne. Twice. We had to get a separate waiter to fix the issue. They also charged my friends card for other people’s tabs at the bar. He ended up with TONS of charges on his card. It ended up getting declined at dinner because the card company thought fraud was happening, which it was. Total mess. We also found the crowd to be.. quite unique at the pools. Definitely not upscale. Spa is nice but pretty small in the offerings. The prices are crazy high for what you get. Tried to contact the hotel before leaving this review and no one got back to me. Big miss with a lot of money wasted on nothing.

Very nice stay. Our only complaint was the kid's pool was freezing despite the fact that the outside temp is still nearly 90 degrees in mid-October. Both my daughter's lips started to discolor because it was so chilly so they weren't able to swim for as long at they wanted. This aspect is pretty disappointing since that was something they were looking forward to the most (the waterslides were a big hit). I'm not sure if the adult pool is heated but given this is a nice resort I'd think the water temp could be regulated a bit better so swimming could be enjoyed a bit later in the year and not just when it's blistering hot out.

Omni La Mansion del Rio is a luxurious Spanish-influenced hotel located right on the River Walk in San Antonio. Originally built as a school in 1852, this four-star mansion hotel offers elegant guest rooms and suites with a blend of modern comforts and classic charm. The Mediterranean styling, palm-filled gardens, and courtyard pool create an ambiance reminiscent of a Spanish hacienda.
I enjoyed this hotel! Every staff member I encountered during my stay (9/23-24/2025) was lovely - the valet, front desk, bartender at El Coleglio, and everyone I passed by in the hallways. A fun, rustic vibe throughout the property, super easy access to the River Walk, clean room, good bathroom lighting, nice comforter on the bed, mini fridge, one-cup coffee maker, and a shared balcony with chairs (my room had a view of the River Walk!). Would've liked to be able to get some breakfast a little earlier and, while it never got warm or uncomfortable, I feel like the AC was trying really hard to keep up. Overall, would recommend this hotel and would definitely stay there again!

I loved everything about my stay here. The property and my room were beautiful as well as being in such a prime location to enjoy San Antonio. All of the staff were friendly and helpful. I stayed here as part of the AMEX hotel collection and do not regret my choice. The breakfast package was top tier in their attached restaurant, Four Brothers, as well as a phenomenal dinner right on the River Walk. The fitness center is shared with their sister property across the river and was kept clean and stocked with water and apples. I used the Houston Street garage directly across from the main lobby which was cheap if a little tight, but the hotel also offers valet. Also, whatever scent they use in the lobby is amazing.

Mr. Sait was very gracious and attending, what a great manager. Leon went above and beyond , read my notes and had my room ready. The entire staff, from the valet, housekeeping were all top notch. Guys let me be frank, this is my go to spot and my wife loves me and thinks I'm VIP for how the staff treats us. You guys are amazing. Highly recommend this hotel if you want to impress your company. Everything is walking distance, And I know all the hotels say this, but no , this is literally on the river. You walk down steps and you're right there in the middle of all the restaurants , all the people , everything!.

I highly recommend the Omni La Mansion for any special occasion. Thank you to all the staff for making our day unforgettable. From the sleeping rooms to the event space, to the employees who went above and beyond, La Mansion is definitely a 10/10. From the valet guys who were the 1st ones to greet us, to the bell staff for assisting with all the boxes we needed to unload for our event, to the A/V staff who were there for our entire event to make sure it ran smoothly, to the banquet staff who made sure our pastries and coffer were fresh, to the staff who checked all 200+ of our staff in, to the cleaning crew who made sure our rooms were cleaned. They all deserve the best HIGH-FIVES! Special thanks to Conference service staff: Marissa & Liliana, The A/V staff Simon and Roland, to the banquet staff, Felix and William....without your team, none of this would be possible. Thank you for an amazing experience and we hope to see you soon.

Me and my husband come back every few years because 1. Had our honeymoon here and the hotel itself was great, 2. Its doorstep is on the riverwalk, it's always been a very nice experience to just have that proximity to tourism features and sights but not so far away from your hotel to just retreat and relax. Despite all the sounds of partying outside it didn't leak into our hotel room, letting us sleep pretty peacefully. During our latest stay the spa was being renovated which was pretty disappointing because I had a really nice time last time, but the foods great, location is excellent, and all around have a pretty good time every getaway.

Quite nice. The service and staff were on point. Room was nice and clean and the bed was extremely comfortable. The valet was even kind enough to give me a heads up regarding the garage across the street, which only charges ten dollars a night, vs their sixty. Good hotel.

I want to extend my deepest thanks to the wonderful staff at the Omni La Mansion del Rio for their extraordinary kindness and support during a very difficult time. When my husband was suddenly rushed to the hospital, the hotel staff went above and beyond to help me. They immediately arranged transportation to the hospital, offered me a more comfortable room, and even provided lunch, fresh fruit, and bottled water to make sure I was taken care of. Their compassion and genuine concern brought me great comfort when I needed it most. Thank you!

We're Bluegreen owners and this was a quick trip we decided to try out. I was pleasantly surprised by how much we enjoyed ourselves. We stayed here for 7 days. First impressions... The guys who valet are amazing. The check in women are very nice. Upon pulling up you'll see how beautiful the property truly is. The rooms are nice and the bed, linens, and pillows will make you wish you never have to get out of bed. The pool is quiet nice and music played. I only wish there had been maybe a bar or food poolside. Otherwise quiet a beautiful pool. I was told it is open all year round and temperature controlled. There is also an indoor pool if the weather isn't nice. They offer a spa which was quiet amazing. A restaurant on location with the best breakfast you could ask for. We ate there 3x for breakfast in the week we stayed. Dinner was not my favorite. There is also a coffee shop in the hotel that proudly serves starbucks however the staff could be more welcoming for sure. A few convenience items are also sold here. Just outside the hotel you can find other restaurants including Japanese, tacos, Italian, and a steak house as well as a coffee shop and Bar. We ate at the Japanese lounge 2x within a week! 10/10. This hotel is located near many restaurants and six flags. About 20 to 25 minutes from down town san antonio. There is more to say I'm sure perhaps an update in the morning after check out. Very sad to go.

Pull up, and the valet is right on point. They gave us a luggage cart and offered to help us unload our car. All staff were extremely courteous and eager to help. The room was wonderful. Beautiful hotel, charming area. Walkable restaurants and shops. These you definitely pay for, but apparently not enough to afford the type of service one would expect. Our room was nicely decorated but small and not immaculately clean. They do not offer turn down service for multiple night stay. The front desk staff did not smile, and we're very flat and not friendly or welcoming.
Jolene M — Google review
A lot of construction going on in the area, it's super loud but the Social, the restaurant serves amazing good. You get your valet validated when you eat at the restaurant, do resort pass or spa. Their pool is pretty amazing. The weirdest part would be getting a bag check. Never went to a pool where there was a bag check for weapons.

Bluegreen makes it seem like you are getting a great deal, will be saving money in the long run, and will have extensive options for travel all across the U.S. After becoming members, we were able to book/go on a few trips and found the reality of the ownership is a complete 180 from what their sales team describes. They paint the picture of high quality resorts at your fingertips. Really, they’re run down and need repairs. It’s like a college apartment with the amount of things broken. It’s way harder to book things than they made it seem because availability is so limited. Terrible rooms and you’re paying more than the folks who are NOT members, who can also book at the resorts. Terrible customer service with reps who hide behind their absolute joke of a very limited rescission period and having a “signed contract” with no options to cancel. Terrible company all around, not sure how they’re still running.

5/5 Hotel. The wife and I were lucky enough to choose this place on our first couples get-away. We wanted something relatively close to home with enough things to do nearby to keep us busy. We have stayed at this hotel 3x in total. All 3 times independently set the baseline of what to expect when going to a hotel. We have since stayed at many other hotels for weekend trips or family get aways but they ALL fall short when in comparison to this embassy suites (including other Embassy Suites). The Staff are amazing and personable. The bartenders tend to poor on the heavy side and make good conversation. Additionally the restaurant will provide you good value meals that also taste amazing. 5/5 i would always recommend people have a stay here to understand what they should be expecting out of every hotel they stay at. One thing that really grinds my gears is when cleaning staff knock on your door before check out as if they are trying to rush you out of the hotel Unfortunately this happened to me and my family here on 08/31 My wife informed me that someone had knocked on our room door TWICE before 11am, I found that weird because we weren’t expecting anyone The third time they knocked I was met by a member of cleaning staff, with a poor attitude, asking me if I would be staying another night. I told them no, and asked what time check out was and they informed me that it was at 11am. This was at 11am on the dot, so I rushed to pack my bags, forgetting to pack items in the process that got left behind in the room. Later on, I checked my reservation and check out was actually at 12 mid day I won’t be staying here again due to the belligerent cleaning staff Also the hotel is so far away from anything worthwhile to see or do in San Antonio

This is about my 4th time staying here and I have yet to be disappointed. The staff always goes out of there way make your stay feel special. We were celebrating our 9th wedding anniversary and I dont think we could have chosen a better hotel. The restaurant is amazing. The manager Robert was so sweet to us as well as our servers. The bartender Cody while quite was very attentive. The morning staff was also very cheerful. We had one incident of some kids being children in the room above us and the staff was quick to remedy the situation. The most amazing hotel ever.

During my nearly month-long stay, the front deft was extremely helpful and friendly. I was consistently impressed by the exceptional service and delectable made-to-order breakfast provided at no cost. However, I would suggest incorporating chile into the omelette bar offerings. Additionally, the rooms could benefit from fresh paint, and the shower pressure is horrible

Hotel staff and rooms were great! But my F250 was broken into and my rear taillights were stolen. Staff was very accommodating and tried to help as much as possible. I called around asking for replacement taillights and they informed me that San Antonio has seen a rise in people stealing ford taillights if they have the BLISS sensors in them. I am +$3,000 in repairs to fix/replace the damaged parts. The following morning there was another f250 with the sensor and that truck was undamaged. Could have been from the heightened security or maybe i was just unlucky thag night.

5 stars isn’t enough! We absolutely LOVED this place. Everyone, and I mean EVERYONE, was absolutely amazing. Every staff member was friendly and helpful. Me, my girlfriend and my son stayed here this past Friday-Saturday as I was in the city for a job interview. I checked in late past midnight and the hotel concierge was very professional and courteous. She welcomed us in & explained valet, food service and amenities. Room was great, spacious and had a balcony overseeing the riverwalk. The king size bed was AMAZING and the 2 person bath was very relaxing. My only complaints would be that the fruit on counter they offered looked old, the place could’ve definitely been cleaned a bit better but my biggest complaint was that we were booked into a connecting room next to strangers. Yes, it was locked and neighbors didn’t bother but it would’ve been nice to be told that before we showed up or even at check-in. I would not mind staying here again in the future with no connecting room of course. Also, there is no on site parking & the valet service is $60 dollars a night. On a positive note the valet team was very friendly!

We appreciated everything about this hotel, including the rooftop pool. The location was perfect as was the view of the River Walk from our balcony. The service was great from beginning to end, with Dan the bellman really standing out. He was very kind and gave us great, local restaurant recommendations that we would not have found on our own. We highly recommend this property.

This is a really great hidden gem in a sea of hotels on the riverwalk. The rooftop pool is amazing! Our kids enjoyed swimming and we enjoyed a full bar and resort style loungers complete with cool towels and umbrellas. Asia at the pool was so nice and she made some tasty craft cocktails! Edward, valet, was very welcoming and made our arrival and exit a breeze! We ate breakfast in the river level restaurant and it was very good. The views at breakfast were great because we were right on the river but tucked away under trees so it was still not overly hot.

This is a review of the spa only. This is my second visit for a facial. The 75 minute hydrafacial was 375 which includes tip. It was exceptional. I left feeling rich, cared for, relaxed and reinvigorated at once. The valet fee is included for your spa stay, which is originally 35 dollars.

Recently got a facial done here & let me tell you HANDS DOWN one of the best ones I got!! I wasn’t too sure exactly what I wanted so I did a consultation & the team members were so nice & informing. Ultimately learned that what dermatologist was prescribing me was not benefiting my skin whatsoever. They recommended me two products & of course I bought them! Loved it so much that I became a member instantly! Cant wait for my facial next month! A HUGE THANK YOU TO THE TEAM! Y’all are amazing!

I can’t recommend this med spa enough! The service is amazing, very welcoming team and great atmosphere. My esthetician Quinn does an amazing job, I love that she includes the neck and chest in hear treatments! I’ve done the salicylic acid oxygen facial a couple of times and had my first chemical peel, the results are amazing and the treatment itself was not painful or uncomfortable at all! I’ve struggled with my acne for so long and I can finally see my skin clearing up I’m so happy! I think the prices are very reasonable as well for the service and results I got! I have recommended neva face and body spa to my friends, and especially Quinn she’s amazing!

I had an incredible facial with Goeun, and I’m still glowing! From the moment I walked in, she created such a calm and welcoming environment. Goeun is not only professional but also genuinely attentive—she took the time to assess my skin and customized the treatment to exactly what I needed. The facial itself was deeply relaxing, and every step felt purposeful and luxurious. She used high-quality products, and her technique was both gentle and effective. I especially appreciated how informative she was, offering helpful skincare tips without being pushy about products. By the end of the session, my skin felt rejuvenated, hydrated, and so much smoother. It was one of the best facials I’ve ever had, and I’ll definitely be coming back to see Goeun again. Highly recommend her if you’re looking for someone who truly knows skin and makes you feel taken care of from start to finish!

From the entrance to the last goodbye after your service, everyone is the sweetest. Also, very knowledgeable and willing to answer any questions you have. This is now my second time coming and will continue to get serviced here. The dermaplaning service has done me so good! Kat has been taking care of me. I’m in awe with our conversations. Again, so knowledgeable. Another great thing about this location including the owner, they will suggest what to try but never force you into anything. Welcome you whenever. This is your sign to book a consultation and get serviced by these wonderful ladies NOW! You won’t regret it.

I got a facial and it was absolutly the best facial I have ever had. I have very dry skin and Rosacea. I had the Oatmilk Hydrating Facial and it calmed and moisturized my skin. At Neva's they were professional and non judgemental. Places I have been to before just talk about how my skin is so dry. At Neva's they helped me! I have already booked for next month!

My very first facial — and Gogo made it absolutely amazing! I couldn’t have asked for a better person to guide me through the experience. She was incredibly kind, welcoming, and knowledgeable. Gogo took the time to answer every single question and concern I had, and she was so gentle, even during the extractions. I left feeling cared for, glowing, and excited to come back. I already have my next appointment booked with her — highly recommend!

Beauty Haus SA is a one-stop destination for various beauty treatments, including massages, facials, lash lifts, brow tints, and lip plumpers. The skilled staff ensures a relaxing experience and long-lasting results. Customers have praised the friendly service and expertise of professionals like Tara for piercings and Denise for lash lifts and tints. The salon's welcoming atmosphere adds to the overall positive experience, making it a must-visit spot in San Antonio.
First time client, I scheduled a lash lift with Bella. It was a wonderful experience, she was super kind, walked me through the whole process and made sure I was comfortable. She kindly answered all my questions, and made me feel safe. I have naturally straight lashes, and eyelash curlers don’t do much for me. I wanted a bit more lift so she used a medium size rod on me and I absolutely loved the results. I was shocked how long my lashes looked, and overall I was very pleased with my service, would 100% recommend. I will be visiting more often.

Miranda did such a wonderful job, and is the sweetest person! I went for a lash lift and tint. I had a hard time finding the spot, so I called and they came out to help direct me. The vibe of this place is so welcoming and calming. Everyone was super nice, I’ll definitely be coming back!

LASH LIFT/TINT AND ZEN MASSAGE. I will definitely be coming back here. When I was booking an appointment I had a few questions online and chat was SUPER helpful and nice. Directions on where to park was a bit odd, but its honestly just at the train station parking lot lol, so I'd recommend putting that into the GPS instead and to go maybe 15 min early. It's located in such a quiet calm area. Walking into Beauty Haus it's immediately warm welcoming, smells nice, nicely decorated, friendly introduction, and good music?!! Whoever was in charge of Playlist was definitely chill lol. The waiting area is SO so pretty, I took my time looking at everything because like hello??? There was so much too look at!!! And I loved everything! Lowkey reminded me of Sims, ifykyk lol. Anyways I had an appointment for lash lift/tint with Perla, she's super friendly, makes you feel comfortable!!! My lashes came out amazing!! It was my first time getting lashes done and she reassured me everything was fine. My boyfriend got a zen massage with Emily while I did my lashes, he came out looking like he had a 5 hour nap and a cold glass of water, LOL obviously he said he enjoyed it. Overall, definitely recommend to everybody. Will be coming back for my lash lifting again.

Traveled to San Antonio from New York and couldn’t get my brows done back home before my trip. After researching a few spas on Google Maps, I decided to try out Beauty Haus’ brow waxing. It’s always nerve racking to trust a complete stranger with your eyebrows, but once I walked into Beauty Haus, I knew I’d be in good hands. The receptionist was a total sweetheart and escorted me to their super cute lounge area while I waited for my aesthetician. The design and feel of Beauty Haus is very fun— I was so busy looking at the artwork and plants, I forgot I was waiting for a service. My aesthetician, Perla, was a total pro. She explained how she would work on my brows and made me feel very comfortable throughout the entire experience. She checked in often to show me the progress and made sure I was satisfied start to finish. Perla was very gentle and at no point was I ever in pain. I typically get my brows threaded, but Perla was so precise with her waxing technique that I feel spoiled! My eyebrows came out so clean— I couldn’t be happier with my experience. Thank you to team Beauty Haus for the perfect experience.

Very disappointed that their gift cards expire within 6 months. Standards should be one year. Extremely disappointed my birthday gift cannot be used. Some flexibility would’ve been much appreciated And Sophia on the phone calling me “friend” was extremely condescending and did not come off friendly at all. ***Thank you for your generic response. The 6-month expiration should be in bold and the first thing you see on your cards friend.

The day spa Dasa Spa On the Riverwalk at the Hyatt Regency in San Antonio is a beautiful and relaxing place to get pampered. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable, going above and beyond to make you feel comfortable. My favorite treatments were the facial treatment and Body sparkle, both of which left me feeling wonderful. I would highly recommend this day spa to anyone looking for a truly luxurious experience.
Location under construction so they are using hotel suites. The service you receive is still the same. The massage was wonderful and well worth it.

Excellent spa! I booked the Make it a Double-Four Hands Massage, and it was absolutely delightful. I’ve been to many spas and have never seen this option on the menu, so I decided to give it a try. Olga and Gaya are the amazing duo that provide this service at DASA Spa. It is a lovely deep tissue and intense stretching experience! They were very meticulous and intentional in their work and even continued after my time was up so they could give me the best experience possible. Upon leaving the room I entered a lounge area where I was greeted with a spread of hot tea, champagne, blueberries, dates, and chocolates to enjoy while I continued to relax and come back to real life. I highly recommend booking an experience here, you will not regret it!
K'Leigh N — Google review
Olga gave me a fantastic massage. This is not a spa/spa where you go sit in steam rooms and enjoy the spa space, so be forewarned that's not what you're gonna get at least til their renovations are done. You are going to be in a hotel room. That being said, I didn't have time for a whole spa day and really just needed a damn good massage and that's what I got so I'm giving this place 5 stars, and really that's for Olga (although the guy who checked me in was really nice too!). She did a number on me! With my permission of course. She stretched me and really got into my tight muscles. I was seeking an intense therapeutic massage, not a relaxing one so I was all on board for her ideas...she did ask what I was seeking so she would have probably been wonderful for that too if that's what I wanted. However I did still feel like a vegetable after the massage was done (in a good way). Today, (the next day) I am sore like I worked out. But my legs feel lighter, my back is less tight and I went to swim some laps and felt like a dolphin, also had a lot of energy like something was unblocked. I would go back this weekend if I could afford to splurge on massages that often. The only thing that I would say stinks is the parking is very expensive if you park in the lot across from the hotel. Like 30 bucks for 2 hours. It's right on the Riverwalk so if you're hotelling it around there I'd walk or Uber ...and if you're local let the front desk know. Thanks! Recommend as long as you're not looking for the full spa thing!

I had a 60 minute signature massage with Gaya and it was one of the best massages I’ve had. She focused on all my inflammation spots and has perfect communication throughout it all. I would definitely recommend her and would be back!
Alexis R — Google review
We booked massages for our anniversary and these were the WORST massages we’ve ever had. We felt worse after the massages than when we went in. At one point I thought this can’t be real. Olga was terrible, lots of pulling of my arms and used her forearms mostly with NO pressure at all to my neck and shoulders which I said I needed the most. Please save yourself $250 and do NOT go there!
Anna A — Google review
I had the best hot stone massage of my life with Gaya. I am visiting from out of town for a conference, but would fly back to San Antonio just for another massage; it was that good. She was able to quickly find areas of pain and work to fix them, and she checked in on me throughout the massage to make sure I was doing ok. I highly recommend coming to this spa if you are in the San Antonio area.
Sally F — Google review
It was our first time here, and they had relocated elsewhere in the hotel, so there was some confusion finding the place. My massage therapist didn't ask what kind of massage I wanted. I was looking for a Swedish Massage, but I think I got a Deep Tissue because my back was really tender that night and into the following day. It was an hour long, but all the time was spent on my back and neck. She was trying to stretch the muscles in my arms and legs at one point, and I nearly fell off the table. This just wasn't a good fit for me, but others might like it.

Hands down - the best massage I have ever had!! Gaya was amazing!!! The perfect blend of therapy and relaxation. (I even fell asleep.). I did not realize how badly l needed a massage to relieve the pressure in my back, neck and shoulders. So appreciative to DASA Spa on the Riverwalk for accommodating us with a short notice. THANK YOU!! 90 minutes of intense bliss! Olga massaged my partner and we were both so very happy with the results!

Cute place with lots of love and detail put into their theme. Both the owner and her husband were very kind. Our couples massage and facial was relaxing and just what we needed. The price is great, especially compared to other locations.

My wife wanted to secretly plan a relaxing day for the two of us. She used a bit of Google Fu to plan our day and came across some threads about the spa on Reddit. Redditors were gushing about their experience at SPA De PARIS, appreciating the ambience, decor, hospitality and services received. She was unable to keep our day a secret, told me about it and after reading the reviews, got very excited. Our couples massage experience did not disappoint! We were greeted with a warming staff and offered a glass of Pinot. After filling out paperwork, we were given a tour of the facility and theme of the decor, then lead into the couples massage room. We were asked our areas of focus for the session, then left to undress and get ready. Once the massage started, I knew I was in capable hands. I've had a lot of massages. A good therapist knows how to work a problem area. They also understand that the pain they relieved, will migrate somewhere else and. Connie knew where in my body that it would end up and skillfully chased out. 10 out of 10, will highly recommend!

Went for a couples massage and facial with sauna and was so very pleased. The owners and staff were so kind. So very happy with the atmosphere, it’s made to feel personable rather than a chain massage place that feels very in & out. We were nervous but everything was explained so well that we were actually able to relax and enjoy ourselves. Cannot beat the quality. You can see the love and passion they put into their work. Will be back! Merci ♥️

My husband I came to San Antonio for a weekend away with no kids to relax. We both work in high stress jobs that do a number on our bodies. Not only was our couples massage relaxing, your facility was exquisite! All staff was very polite and always smiling. The 2 ladies that did our massage were top notch. We will definitely be coming back again!

We are guests at the Eilan Hotel and took advantage of the couples massage for our Anniversary 💕 It was wonderful from start to finish. They offer a steam room, showers, robes, sandals, a relaxation room for men, women, and both. Mimosas, champagne, tea, fruit infused water. Nuts and snacks. When you're done they have a room with hairspray, deodorant, hair ties, q tips, mouthwash, tampons and feminine items. My husband said the men's room had similar items as well as razors, shampoos, conditioner, shaving creams etc.. relaxing music throughout. We left feeling rejuvenated, nourished and refreshed. Would highly recommend 💆‍♀️💆‍♂️🚿🧖‍♀️🧖‍♂️

The room was cold, and while the lady who did my husband’s massage did an okay job, my own experience was disappointing. I’m not sure if my therapist was Brittany or Jennifer, but when she applied the CBD body boost to my back, it was very cold. I let her know, but there was no apology or acknowledgment. I’ve had many massages before, and typically the therapist uses their hands, but in this case, she used mostly her arms, and the pressure was too much even after I explained it. I could hear her walking back and forth to get oil during the session, which was distracting, along with the sound of running water while she washed her hands. Overall, it wasn’t a relaxing atmosphere for me or my husband.

visited the spa. the rasul experience is A+. mani/pedi overall service was decent. massage and scrub were mediocre at best. a bit disappointed in that, but thoroughly enjoyed my technician, so i left overall satisfied. would and will absolutely come again for the rasul. it is unlikely i would do another mani/pedi here.

I had thought I scheduled an appt the night before but apparently I did not. When I came to the desk at 10:50 they told me there was no appt for a pedicure on the schedule at 11am. I was bummed but understood that the appt just didn't go through, for whatever reason. I was about to leave when the gal at the desk said if I didn't mind waiting till closer to 11:30 they could get me in today. I jumped on that opportunity. The lady who did my pedicure was very professional, sanitary, and thorough. My toes look and felt great with no discomfort after at all. I wish that I had more time to schedule a facial with her but I don't. When I return I will definitely utilize this spa again. Since it was Tuesday I received 25% off my service which made it even nicer. I would recommend this spa to anyone contemplating having any service provided. It was a beautiful place and such a relaxing atmosphere.

Nestled in the serene northwest corner of the city, just a short drive from La Cantera Resort and Spa, The Villas at La Cantera Resort & Spa offer a modern spa space with soothing pastel tones. Eilan Spa provides a unique experience with its exclusive ancient Middle Eastern traditional body scrub for couples in specially designed Rasul Rooms. Guests can enjoy various activities such as golfing, pools, biking trails, and hiking within the Hill Country surroundings.
Loved the the resort and the spa so much! The villas are very very nice! The service was incredible especially from Isabella who helped us get reservations and spa appointments at the last minute! The villas also has its own pool which is separate from the other 5 or so separate resort pools. The only complaint I have is that the pool was a little warm for the extreme outdoor temperatures but I know the staff at the villas requested the pool maintenance take care of this by turning off the hot tub the overflows into the pool and also requesting they turn off the heater I think this is something that the resort at large needs to figure out.
Aaron B — Google review
The only reason this did not earn a 5 star review is due to the experience we had regarding pool access in the Villas area. We specifically booked a private villa rather than a room at the main resort to avoid crowds (particularly young children) at the pool during our baby moon. Not only was the pool crowded, but there was a children's birthday party taking place in the private pool area with attendees who were not even paying guests of the resort. This was very frustrating, as we did not get to experience a calm visit and felt the need to avoid the pool area for the high risk of covid exposure during a major spike. There was no option to socially distance, the children were poorly behaved and far too young to have been vaccinated. We were surprised a resort of this caliber would allow this. All that said, we enjoyed everything else about our stay. The staff were friendly and courteous; the room and amenities were luxurious, sparkling clean; and the views could not be beat. Best room service dining we have ever had! We definitely recommend taking the golf cart for a cruise around the grounds even if you are not planning on golfing. The grounds offer a gorgeous peek into Texas Hill Country living.

Excellent guest experience. Note, this is in Hill Country so bugs were about in the room. Plenty of golfing, pools, biking trails, hiking as activities at the resort. Due to COVID-19,I stayed in a part of the resort that was secluded. $$$$ Stay depending on which room you select. Beautiful scenery, saw a few deers. I do wish Housekeeping was paid more given how much you pay each night. I came equipped with cleaning supplies to protect my family. Quick getaway in one of the largest city in Texas was nice.

We recently stayed at La Cantera Resort & Spa for one night for my husband birthday, and overall, we had a great experience. The resort itself is beautiful, and we especially enjoyed the happy hour on the 7th floor - definitely a highlight! However, there were a couple of downsides. The pillows were a bit too soft for my liking, which made sleeping less comfortable. Also, the walls seemed quite thin, as we could clearly hear our neighbors snoring throughout the night. 🫣 Since we only stayed one night, we didn’t get to explore everything the hotel has to offer, but we definitely had a great visit.

This Resort is AWESOME and deserves 10 stars. Customer service is amazing and the staff is excellent. My Husband and I are being treated like Royals. Celebrating our 2nd Anniversary and I’m so glad we came here.

Stayed at the Villas during September 2020. It was in the middle of the COVID pandemic and as such operating under safety rules. I rented two villas right next to each other and was pleasantly surprised by the amount of room and amenities. It is off the main resort hotel building and as such has a quaint feel to it. There is a private pool in the courtyard with a sizable hot tub and a bar area where food and drinks can be had. The pool was well kept and the area was clean and perfect. The Villa guest get access to golf carts to drive up and down to the main resort building and it is a handy convenience for getting around without having a car. During COVID there was no housekeeping but you can get towels and extras brought to you. Depending on which Villa you get you can be pool side or on the other side which is equally picturesque.
