Very beautiful building. It used to be a library and now it is used as an exhibition space. There is also an art gallery inside. There are vast gardens surrounding the building which are open to all. Beautiful place. Library and art gallery rolled in one. The library has many old books besides the contemporary ones. Nice quiet place to read and study. Their collection of old news papers gives a glimpse into the life in Karachi in the past. Paradise for Karachi history lovers. The Sadqain Art gallery has a few art pieces on display by the mastero but the centerpiece is the mural on the ceiling. Truly awesome. A marvel. The building itself is a marvel of colonial architecture. Loved the wooden staircase. Free entry to both but sometimes there are some shoots barring access to the gallery. The government should allocate a non public time for such activities may be a specific day well advertised to avoid art lovers left disappointed. Plenty of parking available. The garden is a nice spot to enjoy famous Karachi evening breeze.

From the moment I walked in, I was captivated by its chic, contemporary design—think lush greenery, cozy seating, and a rooftop area that’s ideal for evening gatherings with stunning views. The ambiance strikes a balance between relaxed and upscale, making it great for everything from casual brunches to special occasions.
The menu is a delightful mix of Mediterranean and fusion cuisines. I highly recommend their Truffle Pasta and Beef Brisket—both were bursting with flavor and beautifully presented (hello, Instagram-worthy plates!). Their coffee and desserts, like the Lotus Biscoff Cheesecake, are a must-try for anyone with a sweet tooth.
Service was warm and attentive, though it did slow down a bit during peak hours. Prices are on the higher side, but the quality and experience justify it. A minor downside is limited parking on busy weekends, so plan ahead.

The art gallery is pretty amazing, although it needs to be properly cleaned and maintained. My friend wanted a Nikkah Shoot here at Sadequain Art Gallery, but the person incharge Mr. Saleem asked 15,000 pkr per hour for the shoot which is crazy expensive and should be reduced to 5,000 pkr per hour so more people can use the place as a venue for a wedding shoot.

The Frere hall park used to be a clean, well-maintained and relaxing place to go to to enjoy a walk, take some classes or just have a picnic in but now it is dirty and crowded, even on weekdays. The book fair on Sundays is one thing I still look forward to. Although the beggars, hawkers and vendors pile up trash and make so much noise you can't sit in peace half the time. The metal fences and trash cans have disappeared and water in the fountain is gone. Not to mention there's so much littering by the general public with no one to enforce rules to keep it clean that it's sad to see. Used to be a beautiful place, still is, but it's fallen into disrepair and disarray.

Port Grand in Karachi is a bustling waterfront entertainment destination that perfectly captures the essence of the city. Nestled on the historic Native Jetty Bridge, this lively complex opened its doors in 2011 and has since become a beloved spot for families and visitors alike. Spanning one kilometer over Chinna Creek, it features an array of dining options ranging from local Pakistani delights to international cuisines like Indian, Italian, and Chinese.
I recently visited Port Grand. The prices have changed and are no longer the same as those listed on their website or Facebook page. The current entry fee is 1,000 rupees, but you can redeem 500 rupees for snacks and food.
As a tourist from Malaysia, I truly enjoyed and was entertained by the attractions here. God willing, if I get the chance, I’ll definitely come again.

Great place to visit with kids. Every kind of delicious food is available. Souvenir shop, kids rides and great view of sea and big large vessels. Simply that place is big wow. Lots of entertainment for kids and magic shows and juggling.

This is a very pretty place to visit with family. It is well maintained and clean place. It feels like you are in some festival. It is full of surprises. Though a bit expensive but, if it wasn’t expensive people would have ruined the place. You will feel like you are in Dubai. There is free entry on some cards do ask them. Food quality and options can be increased.

There's no permission to enter into the tomb of Muhammad Ali Jinnah.
You can visit the grave of Fatima Jinnah, Sardar AbdulRab Nashtar & visit the museum here.

But they should allow us to go through the Grave of Quaid e Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah.

Visited Ibn Qasim Park Karachi with my friend Ahmed Ali. It’s a very spacious park with lots of greenery and open areas, making it nice for families, kids, and friends to spend time outdoors. Some spots even give a good view of the sea. However, the park needs better maintenance and cleanliness. With proper care, it could be one of the best recreational places in Karachi.

This park seems like a relic from a lost era, parts of its structure are atleast 100 years old, and some parts are broken and unmaintained, the grass is well maintained, there is no modern activity such as children play areas, excersize or fitness groups etc, and it seems no body comes here, its suspended in time.
You can come here and think about the past and the future, and hope for a better tomorow and return from here with mixed feelings on how this place could have been, had there been better governments here...

The park covers 148 acres and offers various attractions such as a zoo, chairlift, boating lake, mini-golf course, and go-kart track. My brother and his children decided to visit safari park on a Sunday. As expected it was crowded but both the children enjoyed it a lot. It was fun to be there especially the rides and the jumbo safari where they got to test their physical fitnes

Visited Safari Park last weekend and had a lovely time! The chairlift was a highlight, offering breathtaking views of the park and the city beyond. The kids enjoyed the adventure zone while the swan lake and elephant enclave were peaceful spots to relax. Some areas could use better upkeep, but overall, it’s a great place to spend a day with family. Would recommend packing some snacks and going early to avoid the crowds!
They have developed the park a lot in these few years!! A good place for kids with all the variety of activities and food stalls around! One could easily spend a good quality time with family! The rides are a bit expensive for the general public otherwise its good!! My daughter tried the zipline and I must say all safety precautions were taken and quite nicely maintained. A lot of other activities are there for all age group and do bring your walking shoes with you!

Not maintained and not suitable for family visit. There is only one good area we can say, which is the hill area other than this very badly maintained. It has a very large area and it could become the Karachi's best place to visit. Authorities should mercy on poor animals, they are very badly handled. May God help them.

Since Safari Park has been renovated, it has become really nice. It is a huge place, and if you want your kids to just see the dinosaurs, you can visit. There are many dinosaurs, great for learning and very enjoyable. It’s a neat and clean place, definitely worth visiting.

Visited Bahria Adventure Land with family on a Sunday, got there early but still ended up standing in line for about 30 minutes just to buy the entry tickets. Wasn’t expecting such a rush that early in the day.
Once inside, the park felt surprisingly spacious and clean, despite the large number of visitors and cars outside. The open layout helped manage the crowd quite well.
The wave pool was definitely one of the highlights, lots of fun and a good way to cool off. But the biggest challenge was the changing area. For the number of visitors, the handful of changing rooms just aren’t enough. Long wait times and lack of space made it a bit of a hassle.
The amusement rides section had its own set of challenges. Popular rides like the roller coaster, bumper cars, and sky drop had massive queues, with a wait time of at least 30 minutes for each. The crowd management made it worse, very few operators handling too many tasks alone, and lots of people breaking queues, which led to arguments and even a few fights near some rides. Having additional staff at each ride to manage boarding and maintain queues would go a long way in improving the overall experience.
Overall, it was a good day out, but considering the premium pricing, the park really needs to streamline its ticketing process and ride operations. I’d definitely recommend visiting on a weekday to avoid the weekend rush and the long wait times.

Bahria Adventure land is the best amusement & Waterpark in karachi. The ticket price is not cheap, but it's totally worth it keeping in mind that all the rides, water slides, wave pool, kids' playzone, Dino park, train tour and much more are included in the ticket.
It definitely needs to take care of the washrooms and toilets better as it was super dirty even though we visited on the weekdays.
The water of the Waterpark is not so clean but not super dirty as well. If you are coming for Waterpark as well, then plan to come early around 3 PM, so you can enjoy rides and Waterpark fully. There is one splash park with tunnel and spiral slides, water showers and water buckets, and shallow water for kids. For adults and everyone else, there is a wave pool, which is super fun. There are lockers available along with changing rooms and showers after water activities. Try visiting the park on weekdays to avoid crowds and queues on the rides.
There are many restaurants and cafes inside the park. Food and edibles are strictly not allowed as the security checks all the bags on the entrance via walk through gates.

I went their with my family on Thursday because we though there won't be a lot of crowd but still it was very crowded. The park was filled with security guards and workers who assisted us in all times. It was very difficult to carry all the stuff from our cars inside the park as the distance was a lot, they were offering trolleys for 150 but we though it wasn't worth it but I guess we should have taken them. There were separate sheds and paved area with bench for resting and eating. The washroom and changing area was good and well cleaned. The food in canteen was good but a bit overpriced. The key for the locker was an elastic band which you can wear while swimming and it won't get lost which I really liked. The locker charged 300 and 200 was security deposit incase the key got lost. The slides were very thrilling but I am happy that even though their was a queue for the slides we still were able to try ever single slide and waiting I line was truly worth it. The swimming pool and slides, all had 3 to 4 lifeguards on duty. I noticed that they were well trained and respect your personal space as well. We really loved the area of artificial rain which was very fun and amazing. The time for men and women in the wave pool was separate, it was very fun but it was very crowded. We took our own food and just bought few snacks from the canteen. The water in the pool didn't had much chlorine and didn't had any side effects on our clothes but eyes felt itchy a bit.

I visited Fiesta Water Park after a long time and had a great experience. The huts were clean and well-maintained, and the water in all pools was fresh and clear. The wave pool has separate timings for ladies and gents, which is a plus.
Be prepared to walk a bit from the entrance to the huts. If you're with elderly people, it's better to arrange a wheelchair.
There are fewer solo slides — most are double slides that require a partner. However, there are plenty of pools to enjoy.
Food was available at reasonable prices in the canteen. Prayer area and washrooms were also clean and well-managed.

One of the few places that are dedicated to Arts and Culture. Theatre activities and different launch programs are being hosted at the Arts Council. Previous month, got an opportunity to visit Arts Council and hosted an Annual celebration of Pakistan Yoga Council. The arrangements were good for the attendees. Renovation works in progress at the Arts Council. Parking was an issue and have to park the cars at the roadside. This however can be managed by inside parking and through valay services.

Pakistan Arts Council Karachi is doing excellent job in promoting arts especially the performing arts. It has academies for dance, music, acting etc. It also conducts many cultural festivals, theater shows, launching of books, etc.
An average facility, outdoor is just OK, indoor is better. Take mosquito protection when sitting in outdoor theater. It can be chilling during Dec / Jan nights, so take a light upper with you. Great Pakistan Circus show is a good entertainment for local people.

Overall experience was ok not too bad not too good… definitely it needs maintenance and cleaning… it needs more animals as many of the spaces were empty…. I don’t know still the crocodiles are there or not but we didn’t find them because their area was also empty. Most of the animals were only one in their specie. Indeed animals need more care which i found nil.

Whatever there is to see, you have to first look at doubled wired cages reinforced as if it houses a fercious beast. And what is inside? Some harmless finch, macaw, peacock, or in the case of 3 or 4 cages, pigeons.
Without fail, the cages are dusty, barren of any enrichment or toys for the animals, even without proper lighting for the poor creatures.
I must say I entered with higher spirits than I left. The chimpanzees and lions were lying in one spot with lassitude and boredom. The two lemurs had ragged fur. One white lioness had obvious skin disease. It was a depressing experience.
Only the tortoises and birds seemed like they were having a reasonable time. All the other animals need plants, real trees inside their cages to climb upon, they need proper lights, appropriate toys. Until then this is not an animal zoo. It's an animal prison.
Zoo is same as old style only do paints on different locations and grills; Entry fee is Rs. 50 per person for elders and kids same. There are many of the cages with no many animals inside. Bad Cleaning need to improve too much to match with nature with more care of animals. Many of animals which are in cages need medication, vaccination, and proper fresh food. I can say park look with low or no maintenance with a few Animals and dirty or unclean rides for kids.
We are unable to see animals inside the cage because of bad cage grill and too small vision from barriers. Increase in food carts, stalls and shops but cleaning is not proper even they are not managing.
After the rain you can come for only green look inside which you can not get outside of Zoo.
The one good thing about the ZOO which attract me too much the new opening of the SAFARI looks at the Elephant place. The open place for the animals and the humans to interact with each other without cages. This is the most appealing thing and for this per elder fee is Rs. 100 and for kids Rs. 50. It is the place which is quite clean because of new area and well manage which attract me too much. You can say whole ZOO is at one side and this place at other side. This new open SAFARI area will win if it remain same with same maintenance with cleaning.

Jehangir Kothari Parade is a historic promenade located in Karachi’s Clifton Beach area, offering panoramic views of the Arabian Sea. Perched on a natural hilltop, the site is now part of Bagh Ibne Qasim, Karachi’s largest urban park. The parade consists of two main structures: the Promenade Pavilion and the Lady Lloyd Pier, both built from fine sandstone. The Lady Lloyd Pier—an elevated, arcaded walkway—was named after Lady Lloyd, the wife of Sir George Lloyd, then Governor of Bombay. A marble plaque embedded in the pier wall commemorates this, reading “Lady Lloyd Pier,” a testament to the colonial-era legacy and cultural history of the city.
Designed with an elegant fusion of British colonial architecture and local materials, the promenade has long been a favorite spot for evening strolls and seaside gatherings. It offers a unique vantage point, with sea breezes, sunset views, and historic ambiance drawing visitors throughout the year.
Today, the Jehangir Kothari Parade is accessible through Bagh Ibne Qasim, either from the front gate near Park Towers or via the rear entrance near Funland and the Abdullah Shah Ghazi shrine. While some parts of the structure could benefit from improved maintenance, it remains an enduring symbol of Karachi’s diverse heritage and community spirit.

Planetarium
PIA Planetarium, located on the Main University Road near Civic Center in Gulshan-e-Iqbal, is a unique attraction that offers an immersive experience for visitors interested in space and cosmic phenomena. The planetarium features informative slide shows about the solar system and cosmic trends, presented like movies. The interior is adorned with original airplane seats, adding to the adventure for tourists. English shows are available on Sundays, while Urdu shows are offered on other days of the week.
PIA Planetarium was developed in 1985 on the Main University Road , Near Civic Center , Gulshan-e-Iqbal. It has Sky Dome which provides observation facility to all the visitors and one can observe Moon , planet Jupiter and the Majestic rings of saturn. There is a PIA Aeroplane Boeing 720 standing in the nearby park. For science students it is one of the finest place to get first hand information by observing the planet oneself. The management keep arranging special events and shows in the planetarium. If you have not yet visited this place , don't wait any more , make a plan to visit with your family members and take them to a wonder world of space technology.

Good place to visit with family especially kids to know more about space, planets and galaxies
Show timings are displayed on net and can be checked via telephone too and tickets are also reasonably priced
A PIA Boeing 720 🛫 is also displayed in the lawn for people to visit and have a feel of what it actually feels like to be on a plane
A planetary sciences institute is also here for various diplomas and courses for aspiring students

The place is awesome, i was going to rate it below three stars but than i thought it's govt. Of pakistan that should be rated below three stars as govt. Is responsible for the maintenance of this recreational yet a very informative activity.....
It's been closed temporarily as I have visited today with kids, the guard at the main gate has confirmed us that it has been not operated since last three months.
Very good experience, an event held to see live Jupiter, Saturn, Venus and Moon using telescope.
Top rating just because when I visited PIA Planetarium, I was a school boy, I was significantly inspired.
But today its same as it was at that day, should be upgraded & updated. Its an asset for Pakistan.

It is under construction right which is why it is being used for car parking but it might be a good place for nearby people.

Hilal Park, located in a quiet neighborhood of DHA Karachi, is considered one of the best parks in the city. It offers a serene and safe environment for activities such as jogging and leisurely strolls. The park is known for its colorful flowers, diverse plant life, and well-kept gardens with walking paths. Visitors can enjoy birdwatching, butterfly spotting, and exploring various plant species along the tracks.
Hi there I use to live in Hill park spark apartments which is quite close to Hill park.
The park is just amazing. The size is quite large. It's like Ike in portions. Play area is one side then small pond with flamingos and in the end the upper hill portion. From there you can have a great view of city.
One draw back is when our security forces comes. I know they are doing there job but not every one is a bad guy.
Rest I'll recommend to go for walk take your families and enjoy 😊

Hilal Park is one of the nicer green spots in Karachi. It’s clean, well kept and has a good mix of open lawns and walking tracks. In the mornings it’s peaceful with a lot of joggers and families, but in the evenings it can get crowded which takes away from the calm. The flowers and landscaping are beautiful, and it’s a great place for a quiet walk or just to sit and relax. Parking can be tricky on busy days and there are no proper food stalls inside, so you have to bring your own snacks or grab something nearby. Overall it’s a refreshing escape from the city noise.
Hilal Park in DHA Karachi is a well known park. Its photos and short reels online make it look inviting, so I decided to visit for a walk and jog. There’s plenty of parking space in front of the park, and the entrance view is pleasant. However, in my experience, this park is not suitable for walking or jogging.
The walking track, about half a kilometer long, is narrow and elevated. There are too many walkers, making jogging or running difficult. But the bigger issue is that the track is made of cemented tiles, which is unhealthy for regular walking or running. Hard surfaces like cement put pressure on the knees, ankles, heels, and lower back, which can lead to joint and posture problems over time.
I was surprised that the park administration seems unaware of such an important health concern. Hilal Park is a nice place to sit, meet friends, or relax but for those who want to walk or jog, it’s better to choose another park.
Excellent family park. Well maintained. Small but good for walk and light jog. It has few rides for children as well.
