Amusement park
Paultons Park, home of Peppa Pig World, is a popular family theme park located in Ower near Romsey, England. The park offers over 50 attractions and rides including three roller coasters, two water rides, a vertical-drop ride, and a splash park. Visitors can also enjoy animal feeding and explore beautiful gardens. Additionally, the New Forest Golf Club nearby provides an opportunity for golf enthusiasts to experience a picturesque 18-hole course within the natural forest surroundings.
Coming from Canada this was a big part of our trip for our child and the park didn't let down. Cleanliness seemed as a top priority and all the staff experiences were pleasant. Food was decent and priced as you would think an amusement park would. Bathrooms and smoking areas available across the park. The Peppa Pig portion is where we spent most of our day and it was well kept and looked up to date.

You need more than a day to explore everything here!! That was our only complain. It is a great place to spend time with kids. No water related rides/pools for adults which we found disappointing as we came prepared for one (without checking in detail online). That's why the 4 star. There's a splash area for kids and that's it for anything water related as far as I can tell. Would give it 5 star purely for everything kids related. There's lots to explore here. I read on one the reviews to get a packed lunch and I'm glad I read it and we did bring something to eat during the day which did save us some ££!!. We went on a weekday during the school holidays and it wasn't that crowded. Parking is hassle free and they guide you to an empty spot. We went to Peppa Pig World first and managed to get on few of the rides without queuing for long. We found this to be better than Legoland based on our overall experience. Would be going back to explore the unexplored sections/rides hopefully soon!!

Paultons Park is a beautiful, well kept and very themed in the seperate of areas in the park. There is so so many family rides what everyone can enjoy. The ride access pass was so easy to use. The food in the Route 83 diner was really nice. Amazing price value in the shop & food outlets. The toilets was very clean. If the rides are getting to much you have got the gorgeous well kept gardens and animals to walk round. Paultons deserved the best theme park of the year as I had no faults with anything. 🤍
Samantha I — Google review
Stunning grounds, went in the summer and it was beautiful just been now(end October)and the work they have put into the grounds for Halloween are fantastic, great to see all the kids excited even before they got to the rides... So clean, the ground staff do an amazing job.. Definitely buy tickets in advance. And I would advise to take food and drink with u as it is a bit pricey. It's a cashless site but you can get a card on entry and put cash on it
Carole S — Google review
Great theme park, not only for younger kids but also for big boys along with adults. Went in Halloween and it was all Pumpkins everywhere. Nicely decorated, enough rides. Visited for 2 days with short break, but if either young or old kids only or if managed properly, all rides and parks can be covered in a day.
Nirav D — Google review
Ample free parking, easy check in, well done with the halloween theme, waits on some rides are reasonable. Their phone app is super useful showing locations and waiting times. Staff is friendly, rides are all safe, place and toilets are clean. On stage shows were entertaining. Great place for a family day.
Fayez A — Google review
What a lovely experience for my little man, even we the parent joined in and had good fun. The organisation was excellent, friendly people good atmosphere. The fact that you get to ride on all the rides and fun fair they have to offer.Definitely recommending and we will be going again that is if mummy pig decide to have fourth piglet
Mr. H — Google review
The rides are good, waiting times not too bad. A spacious site with plenty of places to get food and drink. Ive reduced by 2 stars as, when my son lost his phone on a ride, they couldn't be less interested if they tried. They said there was nothing theu could do and didn't take our details in case they did find it. I do understand that this probably happens all the time but also bit of compassion isn't hard. Won't be going back.

Nature & Parks
Forests
New Forest National Park, located in Hampshire and Wiltshire in southwest England, became a national park in 2005. It is known for its picturesque landscapes, ancient trees, ponies, small towns and villages. The area offers tranquility amidst the urban sprawl of southern England. The park includes the former South Hampshire Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty within its borders.
I spent a truly lovely week here. There are so many amazing walks to do, wildlife to see & ponies, donkeys & cows roaming freely. It is a truly beautiful area of the country & I highly recommend a visit.
Sally M — Google review
This is truly a place you should visit at least once when in the UK. We had a short 3-day cycling trip here. Everything was wonderful — from the scenery to the people. Just a note: you should prepare an offline map before coming, as in some areas the signal is very weak and you can hardly use online maps.
Khánh N — Google review
The rebirth of Foxlease Park, nice to see it back up and running, volunteered here back in February? And it was just nice to see it with life and music... Nice little room in the coach house, could do with an extra pillow, but nice time.
Matt W — Google review
Absolutely beautiful forest, we saw so many horses and lots of cows! We didn’t manage to see any deers. The views are breathtaking and there are many different routes you can take. There is some free parking near Rockford sandpit. You aren’t allowed to feed or pet the animals
Vicky F — Google review
The New Forest is a brilliant place for families, especially with kids. The free-roaming ponies, donkeys, and other animals make it feel magical, and places like the Wildlife Park add more chances to see deer, otters, and birds. There are plenty of easy walking trails too, such as at Bolderwood Deer Sanctuary, and lots of open spaces that are perfect for picnics. Camping is well set up with designated sites, ranging from rustic fields to family-friendly spots with toilets and showers. Wild camping isn’t allowed, but the official sites give you space for kids to play and a good base to explore. Shops are small village stores or farm shops rather than big supermarkets, and toilets are generally available at visitor centres, though sometimes basic. The park doesn’t really have a big lake for swimming or boating, and indoor play options are limited, so it’s very much an outdoor destination. If you’re prepared for nature, fresh air, and a slightly rustic feel, the New Forest is a wonderful family escape where children can explore freely and see animals up close.
Nicholas M — Google review
Beautiful place to go loads of open spaces for people to walk and cycle. Large areas for children play. Beautiful river at brockenhurst where you can often see horses and foals, cattle and sometimes donkeys and pigs.
Claire — Google review
Miles of tall trees creating dense forest. The forest offers great walking and cycling paths which link together towns and areas of interest.
Elliot T — Google review
Gorgeous place, well worth a visit if you appreciate nature. The ponies are such a treat to see. It’s also great for beginner cyclists as it has the Old Railway route created by Cycling UK. I felt like I was in a renaissance oil painting at times because the sights were so beautiful. Make sure to get out early to admire the sights as it gets very busy in August.

Moors Valley Country Park & Forest is a sprawling park and woodland offering an array of activities for all ages. Families can enjoy wooden play structures like the Bewilderness climb and Crocodile Crossing, while thrill-seekers can tackle the Go Ape Tree Top Challenge. The park also features dedicated dog areas with refreshment stations, making it perfect for furry friends.
I hadn't visited in ages and I'll make sure I don't leave it too long before coming back. The amazing weather helped of course. Good to see they're reinvesting into the place with added installations, additional seating, and a refreshment stand on the play trail. Kids were happy and there are far worse surroundings. The woodland is beautiful. We parked offside and walked in which paid for the ice creams!
Tony C — Google review
Such a fabulous place for young children! Yes the parking charge is high but there is no entrance fee so it seemed good value to us, the one mile play trail of ten wooden structures to climb and explore dotted around the forest was the perfect length. Lovely park area near the main playground to bring a picnic etc. We didn't go on the train (costs extra) as there was more than enough to do without that.
Victoria T — Google review
Parking crazy expensive. I fully understand this is put towards maintaining the lovely area but I would prefer to pay a one off fee then relax knowing we aren't being charged by the minute/the longer we stay the more it costs. We stayed for less than two hours, for a short walk around to break up a long journey and see if the go ape looked like something we could do with our kids on another visit or use our bikes in the area. It cost us over £12 for the parking fee! We won't be returning here unless we park outside if the area and walk/ride in.
Julia C — Google review
Best day . It's so much to do. Kids were super excited all day. Staff super friendly, helpful. All facilities and area well looked after. Definitely worth it
M S — Google review
Close drove to Southampton. Very big park with many free playgrounds and trails and few ££ activities. Big parking, toilets, cafes at the start. Bike rental available. No bins on whole trail only at the start so better buy cofee/ice creams and slushies on your way back. Toilets only at the start and close at 5.30.
JB L — Google review
This place is amazing ! I barely review much but what a place I was roaming around for hours, amazing views if you hike about abit there’s bike hire there go ape adventure trials with mini landrovers for kids 2 mini steam trains, cafes dotted about water stations and to top it off strangers wishing you good morning and good afternoon as you pass them by! Loved it here Excuse my breathing I have copd
John W — Google review
The park itself has a lovely range of activities walks with the wooden play activities, the playground, the train, Go ape has several different activities also. I have younger children who prefer the nets and while this can be busy as we went recently where there was a party of 30 usually it’s not quite that busy. The staff at the nets are very friendly. There are toilets, cafe although we’ve never eaten there we bring food and there is a great ice-cream kiosk too. I’d say too much too do in a day. The car park is however quite pricy. A few hours was £14 which when you’ve paid £50 for the nets feels a lot! But if you’re coming gotta walk that’s all your going to pay.
George E — Google review
In my opinion the parking charges are a bit high. Overall a good place where you can spend the whole day walking around and let kids play in different playgrounds(free of charge). Of course there are some paid attractions like tree top nets , zip lines , mini golf , mini range rover trail and a mini steam train.

New Forest Water Park is a popular destination in the New Forest, offering a wide range of activities for visitors. The 4,000 square meter inflatable aqua park provides an exciting obstacle course on the lake, perfect for family fun and friendly competition. For those who prefer to stay dry, there are options to enjoy watching the action or capturing memorable moments on camera. Additionally, the park offers activities such as wakeboarding, kayaking, and even corporate events.
What a place!!! Have used the inflatable park many times, the teenage kids love it, young kids, young adults and even us oldies (brings out some youth in us I guess) I also use the wake park regularly. 5 point cable in a ring so can get 6 people on at any one time. Not always the case and you can ask for gaps if suitable. They also do slow sessions for beginners. But even on a busy session you'll get so much time on the water you'll be wiped out... That is either you'll be knackered or actually have wiped out on one of the many awesome features! Kit hire available. Cafe on site with real nice fresh pizza oven food and a bar up the top for post activity chill out time. Can't comment on camping though as I haven't used that facility. The owners are awesome people who will be there most days. The staff are well trained, friendly and super knowledgeable so if you're needing the next step for boarding, just ask them and they will help. Other activities like kayaking and SUP are also available.
T H — Google review
Went wakeboarding and then on the aqua park afterwards. It was such good fun. We went on a Friday (free parking) at the end of September so it was pretty quiet. Ben was our one to one tutor on the wakeboarding which I'd never done before but managed to get up first time. Ben was an excellent instructor, very encouraging, friendly and full of positivity and tips on how to improve, I had a smile on my face the whole time. We then had an hour on the aqua park which was a great laugh, smiles all the way. Didn't have any food/drink so can't comment on that , but had a great time and would definitely go back again especially during quieter periods.
J D — Google review
I love it here! Staff are all friendly and smiley. Also super useful with tips on the wake park. The wake is generally pretty empty so I can get a good session in. Pricing is very good. Food is decent. The inflatable park is amazing fun and the lifeguards do a good job.
Jonny D — Google review
A fantastic day out for the family! Our nephews have been to the water park for the last two summers when they’ve been to visit us in Brighton and absolutely love the day out. The first thing they said when they got off of the water park was “how much is it for an hour?” To see if they could use their pocket money to go again. Brilliant facilities and friendly staff. Would highly recommend a visit.
Charlotte M — Google review
The facilities and activities are excellent. The lower rating reflects their policy of not allowing you to bring a picnic because they sell food. This is true and I have no issues with the vendors or their offer. What is unacceptable is trying to grab more money after paying for the activity and parking. Many families cannot afford £50 for lunch and drinks so bringing your own food makes sense. Other rival attractions do not have this policy. People were understandably ignoring this. Do they want families who cannot afford to eat out to go hungry?
Will L — Google review
Great place to go, plenty of seating for those not participating. Places to eat and even a bar. Sell swim shorts (my son forgot his 🙈) and T-shirts and bits. Lots of fun, but not for unfit as my husband found out! 😂
Gemma D — Google review
This is such a great day out. You have to get there and hour before your allotted time which seems a little excessive however, there is plenty of seating and also a cafe. You get an hour on the apparatus which is plenty of time. They also do other water sports there. Great for a birthday party or just a day out with children/friends
Melanie B — Google review
Great hour of climbing over inflatables. Efficient processing before the activity. Brilliant viewing platform. Great cup of tea and beer with excellent service. Highly recommend as an activity for kids and adults and spectators.

Bolderwood Deer Sanctuary, located just outside Lyndhurst, Hampshire, is famous for its herd of Fallow deer. The deer are fed daily by a friendly local New Forest keeper between April and September, making them accustomed to human observers. Visitors can enjoy clear views of the herd from a large deer viewing platform. The sanctuary offers graded walks suitable for all abilities among tall trees, making it a popular spot for families in the New Forest.
Wonderful walk in the woods. You probably won't see deer unless early morning or late evening. Plenty of parking. Toilets and refreshment stand. 3 trails. Though plan ahead as it's not clearly signed which colour is which!
Duncan H — Google review
Lovely walk in a peaceful area but sadly we only saw one deer 😔 the route isn't sign posted so we did get a bit lost at one stage. The ice cream truck in the car park had some delicious flavours and even one for the dog! Can get quite busy and difficult to park but just depends on timing.
Tammy J — Google review
This is one of my favourite stops for a walk in the New Forest. There are toilets and a coffee truck with yummy treats. There is also a viewing point to watch the deer in the sanctuary. Very busy at the weekend but well worth a weekday visit or get there early!!
Deborah K — Google review
Part of the New Forest and absolutely gorgeous 😍 several walk ways you can take around the park over varying times. There is a deer viewing area designated to spotting deer, but you can see them in and around the park whilst walking. There are wild horses about, too. Plenty of benches to sit around the park and the car park is completely free. Little coffee and ice cream shop in the car park is lovely
Naomi P — Google review
A lovely deer sanctuary. We headed here for a short walk and to hopefully see some deer. There was no deer by the deer platform, but we did spot some in the fields near the paths. There's plenty of paths, including some decent, stony ones. There's plenty of space in the carpark and toilets. There's also lots of grass for children to run around on and build dens.
Donna W — Google review
This place is free to enter. It has a lovely drive up with lots of great views. Wild horses just roaming around on the drive up. There are many different parks of the forest you can park in. We followed one of the trails but unfortunately all the deers were hiding. Nice to kills some time just roaming around with nature 🍄‍🟫
Alyson S — Google review
Lovely walk through lovely forest areas. The deer viewing platform is a 2 minute walk, easily accessible and we saw a few bucks. No cycling in the forest either so no worries about being flattened by speedy/jumping cyclists either.
Katie E — Google review
Beautiful forest walk . The carpark was busy as we came on a Saturday, saw a young deer at the beginning as we arrived..sadly nothing after that! It's very dry in the forest & understandably the tap in the toilets for washing hands was not working!! But there is a small mobile coffee place , ice cream a bit expensive. We appreciated the natural beauty of the area & took the chance to donate voluntarily via text or QR code .

Nestled in ancient woodland, New Forest Wildlife Park is a haven for diverse wildlife and endangered species. Visitors can engage in keeper experiences and explore the Nature Trail that winds through the wooded grounds, offering glimpses of otters, wolves, lynx, wallabies, and owls. The park also houses a variety of animals ranging from the massive Eurasian Bison to the tiny Harvest Mouse.
Me and my daughter took part in the keeper experience with Tristan. His attention to detail about all the animals was quite frankly amazing. Feeding the otters, watching the bison and training Copper the fox were all a delight……..not forgetting the Wolverine! Would highly recommend to all.
Hannah G — Google review
Visited today with my otter-obsessed teenage daughters (13 & 15) for a keeper experience with the Giant Otters and the Asian Short Clawed Otters. We had the best day! Ali (our keeper) was so friendly and knowledge. Since it was a quiet day (lots of rain previously), she arrived with fish for the otters, but also food for the ferrets, polecats and deer (this ended up being a favourite as we got to hand feed and stroke the most beautiful fallow deer!) The park is fantastic. The enclosures really feel like part of the surroundings, and none of the animals seemed stressed (unlike in some zoos!). They do a lot of rehabilitation work, and support rescue organisations with rehoming etc. Honestly, I wish we’d come sooner! If you have kids that love animals, definitely visit. They have fantastic play areas as well as it being pretty accessible, and unlike some places is family-owned, so every visit matters. We will definitely return - probably for another keeper experience as we’ve been spoiled now. Thank you to the team there (including the really lovely lady at the entrance!) - you’re a credit to the park 🫶

Visited New Forest Wildlife Park and had a great time exploring the grounds. Loved seeing beautiful animals like lynx and wolves up close in natural-looking enclosures. The park is peaceful, well maintained, and set in a lovely forest environment. Staff were friendly and knowledgeable. Perfect spot for families or anyone who enjoys wildlife and nature walks. Highly recommend for a relaxing and interesting day out!

We booked a Keepers Experience for 2 of us for 2 hours. Ben was out keeper and it was his first time. He did extremely well. Very knowledgeable and friendly. We got to feed so many varieties of animals. It was very interesting. Highly recommend.
Martin — Google review
We had a lovely day. My chukcren especially enjoyed listening to the keeper talks and watching the animals being fed. Would have been 5 stars but there were a few animals which are not there currently which I was unaware of. May have missed this info on their website. Also was quite a cold day so would have been good to have been able to order hot drinks half way round.
Cherrie P — Google review
An amazing wildlife park with beautiful well cared for animals and excellent knowledgeable friendly keepers. We visit most weeks as annual member holders and throughly enjoy it just as much every time- and always see something different! The keeper talks are always informative and interesting and learn something new. Their conversation work is amazing and it’s brilliant to see all the animals thriving. If I had to choose a favourite animal it would be the elusive Eurasian otter Chestnut but closely followed by the noisy Giant otter family- but love all of the animals. I will continue to visit as frequently and renew when the year is up- I’m very excited to see what they have planned next. Keep up the great work.
Shaun W — Google review
A lovely few hours spent here today. My granddaughter loved seeing so many well cared for animals up close. The young man doing the deer talk was really good and he interacted with the children. We could like to come back and do a keeper experience as this looked really good. My granddaughter drew sketches and wrote notes on the animals and she is only 6! A great day out.
Jo K — Google review
A brilliant morning out. We bought our tickets in advance on the website so it was quick to get in. It was brilliant to see all of the otters and to see them being fed at 11 was a highlight as a keen otter lover. Place was quite easy to walk around and explore with no real steep inclines. Got to get close to the deer and were even able to pet one! It was disappointing to not see the wallabies not sure where they were hiding. There’s lots of things and places to keep kids entertained and overall a really good value experience.

Splashdown, located in Poole's Tower Park complex, is a premier waterpark offering a thrilling experience for visitors of all ages. With 13 exhilarating indoor and outdoor flume rides, as well as 3 splash zones for young children, there's something for everyone. From the high-speed drop of Infinity to the rapid descent down the Screamer, there are rides tailored to different levels of bravery and group sizes.
Recently went to the Splashdown Poole and it is a fantastic waterpark, which has a mix of indoor and outdoor attractions. It’s perfect for families, with thrill slides like The Screamer and more relaxed options like the Red River Roller. The park is generally clean but can get busy, especially on weekends and holidays. Lockers are available. they just need a pound coin to use it, and staff are quite friendly. Note that some rides have height restrictions and the children area is closed for refurbishment, so younger children may have limited options, though there are plenty of family-friendly rides.
Faisal K — Google review
We visit splashdown every year for the last few years and there has never been a slide closed. There are a great variety of slides. That said, the place is getting a little tired with rust coming through here and there and the outside slides could definitely do with a jet wash. The changing rooms are always clean if a little too wet on the floor if I’m being picky. A great afternoon. (We booked 2-5pm on a Thursday of half term) and wasn’t too busy. The maximum we waited was around 10 mins for Velocity but pretty much walked on the rest of the slides. A great venue. At £22 per ticket for 3 hours it’s not too bad value for money but for a few pounds less you could book 2 hours as a cheaper alternative.
Mark — Google review
Would not go during the holidays again. Like all these places they let to many people in and you spend most of the time in queues. In 3 hours we did each slide once.
Tom P — Google review
A great, efficient and entirely enjoyable 3hrs with the kiddies! Great slides, all working bar the really bubba rings. Honestly, book 3 hrs and you will be fully slide and ringed out by the end.

The kids had a great time. We sat outside in the seating areas for spectators which were very clean and tidy. Free drink for spectator made having to pay not so bad. Some of the slides looked a bit tired from the outside but all still safe and great fun. Value for money, 3 hours sliding for £22 each.
Helen S — Google review
I really enjoyed my time at Splashdown, there is a wide variety of high quality rides, and while the layout does leave you feeling slightly claustrophobic, they are truly just making 100% use of the space. The changing rooms were very cramped though. Luckily, the outdoor slides were open, which provided a lot more variety. Considering it was a summer holiday day, the queues were short, mostly between 5-10 minutes with one or two 20 minute queues. I think 22 pounds a person for 3 hours is fair pricing for what you get.
FarisB — Google review
Definitely an activity for those thrill seekers! Strong confident swimmers will have a wonderful time. Not really suitable for younger children at the time we went and we could not spend time as a family in the pool that was available as its only for small children and my eldest was told to leave the area by staff
Lisa G — Google review
In generall, the park is great. The rides are fun. Even though the place has seen better days, It's still a must go place if you live in the South of England. The amount of people is concerning because you spend most of the time there in a queue. But I recommend this place and will visit again.

Lepe Country Park is a historical and picturesque destination offering various activities for visitors. The park features remnants of the Mulberry Harbours from the D-Day landings, providing a glimpse into its wartime significance. Additionally, it holds historical connections to Queen Victoria's first view of the Isle of Wight and being one of the last spots where the Titanic was seen from mainland Britain.
My friend and I took the dogs to Lepe on a week day and although it was the Easter holidays it wasn't overly busy which was nice. There's lots of parking and we parked in the top car park where there is a lovely green area for picnics and far reaching views. . We walked down past the cafe to the beach and turned to the left and had a lovely walk along the beach, down past the nature reserve. It's a lovely mixture of beach and countryside and of course the New Forest is just down the road for more lovely walks. This is a hidden gem of a place, perfect for families. Parking was £8, there is an adventure play area for kids and there is a block of clean toilets just behind the cafe.

Great place to park up and have a beach walk or picnic. Fantastic children's play area and cafe. Interesting d day info further along the beach

This place makes for a great day out, with a vast beach, views stretching over to the IOW and a modern cafe available to suit most tastes it’s a great spot to relax. An easy car park makes access a breeze.

Lovely circular walk through the countryside and along the coast. Really easy 2hr walk. Only downside with dogs is there's a lot of barbed wire fences, my Springer Spaniel got a cut on her back, luckily nothing serious.

This is a lovely park along the Solent. There is the beach (shingle), a sensory garden, paths through the woods, and a café (very clean, small shop). There is a car park (administered by Hampshire County Council = expensive)

Really nice place to spend the day! You have a few little beaches, multiple parks, a cafe and somewhere to get ice creams and a good amount of fields to set up! Highly recommend for the family

We would have given more than 5 stars if we could. The first thing we noticed was how clean it was, no litter anywhere. We visited the cafe and found the food to be of good quality and very reasonably priced, it is also dog friendly.

Did, the Lepe loop walk which was lovely. Coastal, fields and woods. Had a lunch on the beech and then decided to go other direction to do "Dunkirk" walk. Amazed to find out what went from there to France as part of D day landing. Highly recommend both walks.

Lymington Sea Water Swimming Baths, located in the Georgian seafaring town of Lymington, offer a unique swimming experience. The baths feature an inflatable obstacle course, making it a fun destination for families with children. Lifeguards are always on duty to ensure safety. These historic open-air sea water baths were built in the early 19th century and are known for their health-giving waters and natural mud minerals.
Went as a spectator to watch family members doing SUP. Prices seems very reasonable. Plenty of seating for the spectators, some in the shade too. Café kiosk selling drinks etc. Changing facilities with shower. The Salt water pool has an inflatables course, swimming area and the SUP section. Plenty of staff around. Lots of fun for all the family
Louise — Google review
Great inflatable water park. Water is nice and clean. Salt water, but teenagers and adults can touch the bottom so can avoid head going under most of the time. Wet suits were advised even in summer but not too bad without. Private cubicle changing rooms available, and showers for after. Great chips at cafe. Huge variety and amounts of inflatable obsticles and runs to choose from, and the 2 hour session is so much better than other water parks I've been to.
Michael H — Google review
Such a great place for all ages. The water is cold but you can hire wet suits for £6. The sessions are almost two hours so it’s decent value for money. Also a nice little cafe and New Forest ice cream. Showers and changing rooms are sufficient. Lots of seating dotted around for spectators. Parking is sometimes busy so leave plenty of time. We did the 11am-12.50 session followed by a drive in to the new Forest for a picnic after, making for a good family day out. Adults can spectate for £2.50 or swim in the separate section for just £4.50… or of course take part. Special mention to staff today who were fab and super informative. We were greeted by a lifeguard who gave us a rundown of the rules and safety info which was much appreciated. Also everyone has to wear a buoyancy aid, which is provided.

We did SUP and assault course. SUP is a quick intro and left to your own devices. Great fun if a lot of hard work. The assault course was difficult but a lot of fun If you have great balance you be fine. Would recommend grip socks and googles due to salt water. All in all well worth the trip

Nestled in the charming village of St Leonards, Avon Heath Country Park spans an impressive 580 acres of diverse forest and heathland, making it a perfect destination for nature lovers and families alike. With three well-marked circular trails starting from the Visitor Centre, visitors can embark on scenic walks that range from a leisurely 0.7-mile stroll to longer routes up to two miles.
I went here with my dog and followed the viewpoint trail. The trail signage was great so no chance of getting lost. Beautiful scenery and it was very quiet. Mind you this was more than likely due to us getting there just after it opened. The staff were friendly and we were greeted with smiles. The car park wasn't expensive. Very dog friendly with a dog wash available.

Lovely day out with kids. We had ages 2-7 and they all enjoyed running, looking for birds and generally enjoying nature. The park is well maintained and nice trails for walking, running and cycling. Food and toilet facilities at hand. There's a no bin policy, so be prepared to take home your trash.

Blashford Lakes Nature Reserve, located near Ringwood, is a former collection of gravel pits transformed into a 159-hectare haven of woods and grassland. The reserve offers stunning lakeside walks, 8km of rolled gravel paths, and six bird hides for public use. With around 500 bird species, the site is teeming with life. From redpolls to kingfishers, the diverse wildlife includes an array of wild birds.
Beautiful walks. Scenery. Getting down with nature is a must. Brilliantly presented with great indoor view sheds to watch wildlife. So bring ya cameras. And binoculars, you will have a very good time.

Lovely day out well set out and helpful people to give information. I loved the little signs dotted about giving relevant information on the plants and wildlife you might see.
Tracy S — Google review
Lovely well kept nature reserve! Fantastic to see and hear some many different species of birds!
Alicia K — Google review
Such a beautiful and peaceful place to spend sometime in. The paths are all level and great for folk using wheel chairs. There was at least one motorised one hired out while we were there. Toilets on site. The hides are great to view the wildlife and in particular the birds. I saw a heron catch a fish and fly off. Note to take binoculars next time. Also picked loads of blackberries. We then finished off our time with lunch at Hockey's farm shop and farmyard cafe (a 5 minute drive away).
Julie I — Google review
If you like a walk in the woods with stop offs to watch the birds both in the woods and on the lakes, then this place is for you. There are well marked trails which are easy walking. They are also pushchair and wheelchair accessible but there are some kissing gates which could be difficult to negotiate with a chair.
Rachel L — Google review
We had a lovely visit to Blashford Lakes Nature Reserve. It was so peaceful and beautifully maintained. Parking was easy, and all the bird hides were clean and well-kept, which made the experience even more enjoyable. A great spot to unwind and connect with nature. I felt so lucky to have spotted a blue flash of a woodpecker before we left.
M R — Google review
Amazing place to visit. Free parking and toilets. Hides are great and if your patient you might even spot a kingfisher whoosh past.
Jonathan M — Google review
Been going here for years and it’s great, but ruined by the rudeness of the regulars in the hides. It’s a known problem as there are new signs up saying to be courteous etc, but it’s not working. They’re always talking at full volume in the hides, swearing constantly even when there are children in the hides - no respect at all, not for people or for the birds.

The New Forest Northern Commons, managed by the National Trust, is a fantastic destination for families seeking an active day out. This stunning area encompasses five distinct commons—Bramshaw, Ibsley, Rockford, High Town, and Hale Purlieu—spanning over 1,330 hectares of diverse landscapes including woodland, heathland, mire, and grassland that have been shaped by human activity since the Bronze Age.
A lovely spot to stop and have a picnic, bring a blanket. Plenty of space for the children to have a run around. You might even see a few of the ponies.

This must be the New Forest's region best kept secret. Beautiful landscape. Mind the cows and horses!
Michał P — Google review
I picked this walk using the New Forest app and really enjoyed the variety of views along the way. The car park is a good size, though smaller than some of the other New Forest hiking spots. Worth noting there are no facilities here (no toilets or coffee van), although in the summer I’ve seen an ice cream van parked up across the ford. On my walk I saw plenty of ponies, including a group of 14 together, such a lovely sight! A peaceful area for walking with easy access into the commons.

Went with the hubby, my oldest daughter, her partner & my 3 young grandchildren for a picnic & dog walk. Was really lovely day, dogs had a great time running free & so did kids. A herd of cows decided to come out of nowhere & we sh*t ourselves because my daughters spaniel who is only a year old decided to run towards them but thankful the cows just moved away from him & kept walking by the time her partner had caught up with the pup. Parking was quite busy but we both managed to get parked & the dogs & kids loved playing in the sand & the stream that's near the Parking area.

The National Trust's Needles Old Battery, dating back to 1862, offers visitors a chance to explore recreated rooms, an underground tunnel, and original guns. Perched above the iconic Needles Rocks, it provides stunning views of the geological formation. The tea-room in an old look-out tower serves refreshments with dramatic vistas of the rocks and Dorset in the distance.
The Needles Old Battery feels like a lookout post at the edge of the world. The views are amazing, though it must have been quite a lonely place to live. The exhibition is great, with a mix of history and scenery. Don’t miss the underground observation room. The long, dark passage leading to it is a bit spooky but worth it. And be sure to walk up the slope to the rooftop. The sea view on the other side is just as stunning!
Issac — Google review
The only way I know how to access it is a long walk, but I think a public bus may drop off outside (saw a few green ones). I personally think its a bit expensive to get in, but once inside its immaculate so you see where the money goes. I liked the comic book style drawings, the tunnel and getting a whole feel for the place. The only thing I'd say is if you intend to walk there, and see both the old and new battery allow plenty of time, because the new battery shuts at 4pm old battery 5pm so we hadn't allowed enough time to do both. Definitely nip into the cafe at the old battery as the coffee and cakes were amazing.
Kevin W — Google review
Love a National Trust, and if you are doing Tennyson Down it is definitely worth stopping by the Old Fort. I really liked how they have restored parts of the site and brought it to life. It is not very big so it does not take long to go around, but it is nice to wander through and the views of the Needles are amazing and were the real highlight. They also have a tea room, which to be honest was not that great, a bit of a shame given how lovely some other National Trust tea rooms are. It could have been something really charming like the one at the lighthouse in Dorset. The walk to the fort was another highlight and is so beautiful with lots of wildlife. A really stunning area.

an incredible couple of hours spent here. We got a return on the cable car, £10 per adult. Really good price. Had beautiful views of the ocean coming down, we then went straight onto the boat ride, again incredibly priced. 20 mins out to sea and a view of the needles, beautiful sights. We were lucky enough to have stunning weather. Cable car back up to the top after a lovely walk along the beach and then made our sand jars and played crazy golf. Hasn't changed since I came when I was little.
Kerrie S — Google review
It took about 30 min with kids to wander along to here from the car park (tell them you’re an NT member for £2 off). Did it on a hot and sunny day but lovely views on the way and from the battery. Interesting displays and the tunnel down is cool, if not pretty narrow! Place to get a coffee and plenty of places to sit and eat a picnic. Worth a visit especially if an NT member.
Chris D — Google review
Great history about the Fort listed. I recommend a visit if you go. Not too expensive to get in but it is a national trust place so it's a must do if you have a membership. Very windy when I went so be prepared when walking along the cliff top. There is an enclosed walk way to a view advantage point inside the cliff, at some points this is narrow so I wouldn't recommend if you are claustrophobic
Hannah — Google review
A bit of a walk from the 'Needles Attraction' but it's on a fairly level road. There's not much at the Old Battery but it's worth a look if you're a NT member. Probably not worth the entrance if not. If you pick a decent day, the views are spectacular though.

The Dorset Heavy Horse Farm Park is a conservation center and family attraction featuring rare-breed heavy horses, blacksmith displays, and a petting zoo. Visitors can enjoy heavy horse carriage rides, pony grooming, animal petting, and daily demonstrations. The park also offers adventure activities, play barns, vintage fairground rides for children. With its rich history dating back 1,000 years, the center provides educational experiences such as tractor rides and learning about farm animals.
Three generations had a wonderful day here at Heavy Horse Farm. Once you've paid your entrance fee, all the activities and attractions (and there are SO many!) are free. It's not just about the horses, there are so many other things to enjoy too. You can bring a picnic as we did. It's a very safe space for children to just have a great fun day. My granddaughter who's autistic, was treated with kindness and allowed to help with the feeding and leading.

What a fantastic gem of a place. The horses all have their own characters and are so well looked after. The staff here are all so friendly and knowledgeable and more than happy to spend time talking to you. There’s so much to do here for both adults and kids. We had the best time here thank you so so much.
Jennifer P — Google review
My last visit was back in 2015 with my then 8yr old daughter, so it was only fair that I took my now 9yr old son to the same Horse Farm. It was lovely to see that it had some new improvements, but it was lovely to see it still had lots of the same things when I last visited. The horses all looked well loved and cared for, and its great to offer activities and mini history sessions to teach the new generations of the importance of our horses and how they helped Shape the world we live in today. My son loved the same things as my daughter, feeding the horses, riding the pedal go-cart, petting the rabbits and reading and listening to the history of the horses. It was a shame we didn’t get to go on a horse and cart ride, but that was our fault as we didn’t arrive til 12:30pm and with it being the summer holidays. The staff were all friendly, the main man, who seemed to be here there and everywhere was great, I believe it was the same gentleman who let my daughter sit in the front of the horse and cart ride. The facilities were clean and reasonable. We didn’t eat here, but the cakes looked good. Easy to find and lots of parking spaces. Thoroughly enjoyed my visit again and will continue to recommend it to anyone who is holidaying in the area. I also got a lovely head hug from UNO 🥰

A really good, fun day out. We took our daughter for her 2nd birthday and we all loved it. The staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming and full of fascinating information and you can tell they have a genuine passion for the animals. It was great to step back in time and see the vintage machinery, the old farm ways and the world war Mockups. All related to horses through the years. What was really nice was the free rides and games dotted about and refreshing that there wasn't an extra fee for these. There is a western themed cafe with a really good choice of food and kids menu and the portions are really generous. I had the ploughman's and was not disappointed. We spent a full day here and will definitely come back to this hidden gem.

A Wonderful Day at Dorset Heavy Horse Centre From the moment we arrived, the warmth and friendliness of the staff made us feel completely at ease. Everyone was welcoming, helpful, and clearly passionate about what they do. A special mention goes to Richard, the owner, whose deep knowledge and enthusiasm for the heavy horses truly brought the experience to life. His informative talks added so much value and made the visit both educational and enjoyable. The entire day was a delight—peaceful, well-organised, and full of charm. Whether you're an animal lover, a history enthusiast, or just looking for a pleasant countryside escape, this place ticks all the boxes. Highly recommended for families, couples, or anyone wanting a unique and memorable outing.
Tavis H — Google review
Really excellent. My 3 year old loved it and was entertained for nearly 4 hours. The day was well rhought through choreographed with friendly, helpful and knowledgeable staff offering a variety of talks and activities. Although the horses are the star attraction, there's other animals and things to do in the old way tgat is becoming a lost art. Spoiler alert, you'll leave feeling a lot better than when you enter.
James P — Google review
The Farm was well worth a visit. The heavy horses are beautiful and it was worth going just to see them. The talks were interesting and informative. The WW1 trench was unexpected but educational. There are a lot of play areas and animals for children to enjoy and it is certainly a place I would take grandchildren if I had them! We turned up on spec and had no problem getting in, however we were warned that the previous day coach parties filled the place up. So, I would book in advance in the future.

I’d definitely recommend this place for families with little children, children can feed animals & brush ponies’s hair, wagon ride, & tractor ride, & so much more activities. They also have a very sweet staff with so much information about different kinds of horses, breeding, & wagon history. if i were the owner i’d add pony rides for double fun. & thanks again everyone was so sweet 🙏🏻 Love from Kuwait 🇰🇼❤️

Great site and facilities. We did a white group lesson for first timers on skiing which was good and the slope was not big so it was very friendly for beginners. We've been to Snowtrax Alpine Park many times now. My little one loves it, and so much so that today we've had her birthday party there! Pay per child and the parent gets in free too, plus a picnic lunch and a covered picnic bench for 2 hours. You can stay there all day though, if you like. The Alpine Park is great fun! An enclosed and tree covered outdoor trail of balance beams, climbing walls, platforms and swings, plus a zip line and the huge pirates ship to play in too! Take a picnic or buy from the little hut by the entrance, or alternatively head up the slope to the bar and restaurant for something more substantial. Great views of the dry slope from up there and a little kids play areas indoors too. Not tried the ringos yet but have heard great things! Thoroughly recommend!

Friday 16th February 2024 and a really good day. I could hear my own footsteps as well as the sound of the geese and the Oyster Catcher's. I walked from Lymington and walked as far as Keyhaven and this was when it got interesting. There is a sign in Keyhaven that says " Cycle Path to Lymington". I ignored it , walked around the harbour, followed the map or so I thought, walked past the Gun Inn pub and discovered a footpath sign and assumed it would be the pathway I wanted to walk back to Lymington. Please don't laugh, I ended up in Great New bridge copse and I think I am the first person to leave a review of it on Google. I definitely walked my 10,000 step's today. The copse is very muddy. I would like to say I completed the walk around the nature reserve but I didn't and got my boots muddy( and my hands when I did an uncontrolled skid and dive ) The walk around the nature reserve was great and peaceful. Even the dog's were friendly. All in all a great way to spend a Friday on a winter's day. 🌟🌟Thursday 9th May 2024. I decided to complete the 10 km walk on what has proved to be the hottest day of the year so far. I started out in Lymington and reached the " cycle path to Lymington" sign. I think the road is originally a single lane road that has been handed over to cyclist's and walker's. A lot of the track reverts to shingle and clearly flooded during the winter. Along the way back to Lymington i saw a pheasant, numerous horse's and great countryside, field's and a great view of the coast path in the distance. It is a long walk but should be easier if you cycle. A lot of the tarmac route can be avoided if you become adventurous and explore the pathways as well. Obviously I didn't use Pennington car park but it seemed popular and would be really convenient for people walking around this side of the marshes. The walking route around is well signposted and quite easy to follow. The route is advertised as 10km The the route back to Lymington from Keyhaven does feel shorter. . The pathway's link up so you don't have to walk the whole way. The next stage is a Lymington to Hurst Castle walk. I have happy memories of walking the shingle spit 🤣 . Great for the leg muscles.

Great place to visit. Especially if want to be close to nature, have great contrasting colours, see birds etc

We walked around Keyhaven Marshes. Even with not so great weather it was beautiful. We saw loads of different birds, most we couldn't put names to!! However we did pick out avocets and great egrets!
Marie G — Google review
Absolutely stunning walkway! Easy to keep on walking and walking and before you know it you have covered 10 miles plus! The marshlands are littered with wild horses, birds and stunning scenery which stretches to the Isle of Wight needles! We walked along here in January and the wind was bitterly cold so wrap up warm and wear sensible foot wear as it gets incredibly muddy! One of the most enjoyable sea walks I have done!

Lovely little place, we viaited on a warm sunny day. Walked the dogs to the harbour where you can get a Ferry to Hurst Castle. There is alsoa light house. Good car park too

We love coming her. The car park is close and the toilets get cleaned regularly but be aware you can't park by the bridge for free any more. The Solent way gives you a good walk; bike ride; or even a run. Plenty to see and if your like us there is plenty of bird spotting to be done.

Beautiful scenery, lovely walks and great views of the Isle of Wight and The Needles and the marshlands are a wonderful haven for many different birds. Great for dog walkers and families but not wheelchair friendly.

Great day out, nice walk around and identified 35 different species of birds. Level walking in a variety of habitats, views of the Isle of Wight, Hurst Castle and boats.

The New Forest Reptile Centre, located near Lyndhurst, is a seasonal conservation center dedicated to British amphibians, lizards, and snakes. Visitors can observe hopping frogs and slithering serpents while also enjoying the surrounding woodland on foot or by bike. The center features live wildlife cameras for glimpses of elusive creatures like lizards and toads in their natural habitat.
Great if you are interested in herpetology and reptiles of Britain. Was great to see adders, toads, frogs, lizards etc., and also to enjoy a walk around the nature trail and see beautiful trees and enjoy the New Forest. The staff were friendly and informative and there was a pony that came up to see if you had any food to spare - very clear signs saying not to feed the ponies.

Loved our visit here. Such a delight especially having knowledgable volunteers on hand! A converted horse box/drinks provision would be the icing on the cake! 😉

knowledgeable and friendly volunteers! just be aware that there are very few animals left after a rat invasion… we managed to see a couple of frogs with the help of other visitors! spent about 10/15 minutes here

Really nice place, would recommend going on a sunny day as more creatures to see as didn't see much as was very cloudy when we went an rained. Some food pic ic tables and forest walks to do as well. Dog friendly and wheelchair accessible.

Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Unfortunately, the reptiles were a bit shy on the day we visited, so we didn't see any. Free entry and parking, so nothing lost, worth a visit if you're in the area.

Brilliant place to go to with a toddler. Saw a fair few things basking in the sunshine. Then got a map with details of what to look out for from the rspb hut and followed the reptile red trail on 1.5 miles. We spotted ponies and newts on the trail too. And it's all free!!

What a great place to see the reptiles from the UK! Lovely staff who are very knowledgeable and are very happy to fill you up with information. Loved seeing the adders and baby adders basking in the sunshine and the other snakes too. Very interesting learning the difference between a toad and a frog.

Local species for all to see (as long as you have good eyesight 🤓) Super helpful volunteers, pointing out the different reptiles and giving us the lowdown on the centre. Mapped out walk through parts of the forest, highlighted with areas of interest. And dog friendly 🐶 which was a must for us as we're on a family holiday. All for the price of a donation!!

Lemur Landings is an indoor play center in Tower Park, Poole, offering a perfect rainy-day activity for families visiting Swanage. It features multi-level soft play areas with slides, tunnels, and a ball pool. The venue also includes a role play village with various themed setups like a house, school, shop, fire station, and garage. There are dedicated areas for different age groups including under 8s and older children.
Very large site, so kids have no time to be bored. Well organized event. We just selected base option after hours for the party but were nicely surprised with extras & the way that it has been conducted. From the very beginning you do feel welcomed and guided on what to expect. Kids started with wall climbing through soft play time ending with food and cake. Animal balloon modelling was a nice touch - kids loved it. Staff were very helpful and kind. Highly recommended. Perhaps it is a bit pricey than others but we did save a little last year and it was a disaster. You get what you pay for. They even automatically refunded guests cost that did not turned up. Did not expect that at all. Very pleased and thanks for the Lemur Landing Team to make my daughter beautiful memories. Lenny

Very helpful staff, bit too eager to clear our table though of half eaten meals of the kids, baring in mind they're in and out of the play area, nibble here, drink there lol. The soft play area can be a bit brutal even with the key word being (soft) My boy also stumped his toes on the lose metal strips that join the sections of floor together on the way past the tables to the toilet. Pretty dangerous after I felt how lose they were, you can get your fingers under the straps. Major trip hazard. The kids enjoyed the climbing wall which is safer then those floor strips 🤣🤣 The man supervising the climbing was very patient and attentive to my boys who wanted to climb, I say patient as my youngest was in and out of the harnesses from one to the other. Only issue is not being allowed our own healthy snacks due to our own dietary needs. 2 coffees, a bowl of chips and 3 cookies cost £15... ouch!! Got you by the short n curlies there... Mediocre experience, will be back as the kids love it. Fix that floor... 😳🙄
Lee B — Google review
We've been here twice on a UK break. The kids love it. I like that you get soft play, role play, wall climb, mini aerial adventure, and an interactive wall game under one roof. There's plenty of seating around and a cafe for hot/cold drinks and hot food.

My young family and I visited this place twice in a fortnight and both times we had a blast. The dress up area has been revamped since our previous visit last year, so that's looking much nicer. I'd also like to give special praise to Ashton, as he was so kind and helpful during both of our visits, and I think he's a real credit to yiur team.

We've just had a birthday party at lemur landing. Sadly we had very bad experience and now after reading previous reviews i've now come to the conclusion the owner's-management are never going to change until 1: Some one takes them to court for a serious incident or 2: It effects the owners in the pocket so this will sound bitter but i hope it's the latter. I'm going to fair and start of on the good points, 1: Young member of staff assigned to our party can make balloon swords or dog's. (I can't) 2: The party room was clean: 3: There's a lot there for kids to be entertained for hours. Now the bad points. 1: Arrival: A young lad that you could see was stressed and struggling to keep reception going we waited 10 minutes to be let in so we could set up our room for party. 2: The soft ball air gun's 4 out of 6 guns weren't working and a one you can see the hose is snapped and blows compressed air in your face. 3: Our daughter cut her lip on that main soft play section. I asked a member of staff for napkins to clean the blood up, They weren't bothered and just pointed me to napkin stand. (So hope at some point this area gets cleaned) My partner also mentioned to another member about the blood on my daughters face and didn't show any compassion. So we delayed the food coming out so she could be cleaned up. 4: Lola the lemur the mascot was a disappointment and didn't want to engage with children. 5: Value for money sadly not. The employee's there are young and i understand there not always going to having the best days so they need the management to incentive them and provide more support when there busy . The staff are public facing so every once in a while they just need to fake a smile to make it look like there happy to be there to give customers a nice time. Looking after children is hard work and we go there for some fun and break. So in two words DON'T GO, go elsewhere and maybe the owners will get the message.

Fantastic for all ages. Rock climbing walls for the older ones, dress up role play for the little ones. Soft play area for big ones and separate toddler soft play area. Highly recommend for an indoor family day.
Suri L — Google review
I have a 10 month old, was looking for something to do with the whole family on an overcast day. The baby section leaves a sour taste in the mouth for what I paid ( under 1s is same price as an adult). The lil kids soft climbing area was overrun with kids from the "model village" bits and bobs. There is no ball pit. Finally the last straw was two older women trying to stealth vape in front of the baby section. I reported it, but the staff only put out a psa on the tanoy.
Samantha N — Google review
Great for kids of all ages (up to 5ft 2). The play frame is massive but there are also climbing walls and a dress up/imagination area. There are 2 smaller areas for younger children and babies. Sessions during peak times are 2 1/2 hours and off peak they don't have a time limit. Food from the cafe is good but a little pricey. They have hot and cold options for both food and drink and some sweet treats available. Parties are brilliant here. The only reason this doesn't have 5 stars is that the coat for adults is just unreasonable - £4.10 just to come in and observe the kids running around. You do have the pre book tickets via the website you can not just turn up.

As per the other customer, the restroom was a shambols, and I cannot understand how JL could have overlooked the disgraceful environment for ladies. If my memories serve me well, the 'new' upgrade has been very poor, and I would have with toilets that don't flush! Yes right from the get go! And the wobbly taps and so far. How ever, as a passion for JL, and shop there as often as I can. We came over to buy headphones. My main goal to see the Marshall headphones. As the previous time 2 months ago I wanted to test it them. However, they were out of order one headphone was giving a strange noice other did not work. We come back again with main purpose to buy headphones. The Marshall headphones were out of order. We bought a different brand but it's not exactable from John Lewis to be like that. You are putting customers off from your shop.

A really disgusting shop. The toilets were dirty and unkempt. The taps were falling off and soap all over the sinks. Almost every stall was out of order or dirty. The staff were exceptionally unkind to me and my husband and were exceptionally passive aggressive; trying their best to make us feel like children when we tried to return faulty items. The language they used was hurtful, and intended to make us feel stupid. This shop used to be lovely to browse, but this experience has put me off returning.

Made my first & last purchase at John Lewis, wanted a Lenovo pro tablet one of fastest selling tablets, but was told by the sales man it wasn't in stock, told him every grand Prix this year as had Lenovo signs all round the tracks, millions spent on advertising is the manager at the beach or working from home & not here to get any stock in the whole miserable store, Sales man said he can get me one tomorrow & can collect from poundbury so I said will pay cash as cash is king & all that & was told he had to see a bank card & a email or he couldn't sale me the Lenovo, cazy, the email is your receipt, find emails never work & I'm always changing them, when I got home no email had come through so I have no proof of Guarantee, when I got a yuasa battery from Halfords I got a paper receipt which I used twice in the 5 years to change batterys under 5 year Guarantee, so I got another 30 mile trip back to Poole to try & get a written receipt out of them, there's a closed down home base next door to this John Lewis another badly run business, all my TV equipment comes from Richer sounds where I get a large paper receipt with 6 years guarantee & free delivery to my house, i have never purchased a electrical item before without a receipt, don't see any point in John Lewis if they don't keep anything in stock & don't give a guarantee, can see why people get most of their stuff from Amazons, shops in towns are finished, used to go to several department stores in Bournemouth & now John Lewis is the only one left, most of those department stores would still be around if they had been run by business men & not by it's not what you know it who you knows

Wonderful place for children and adults. If you go and experience holding the animals please do be careful with them. Sadly they lost a spider recently due to someone dropping her. Absolutely tragic. There is no entry fee but they do rely on donations to run the place. So please don’t be mean and not contribute towards the future of the place.

A fantastic place to visit in Bournemouth! The Bournemouth Natural Science Society offers a wide range of fascinating exhibits including marine life, butterflies and moths, mammals, and local history. When we visited, they also had a live display of reptiles and insects, which was a real highlight—especially being able to handle some of them! The museum is free to enter, but donations are appreciated and go a long way in supporting their work. Great for families, kids, or anyone with an interest in nature and science.
Paul W — Google review
Great place for families and people interested in science, insects, geology, fossils, plants, animals etc. Lots of friendly experts on hand to talk through things they are passionate about and answers any questions. Free entry but donations appreciated. We bought a few bits in the shop which we very reasonably priced. Ideal for kids spending pocket money on gems and fossils. We were told there was a lady who carefully bagged and labeled everything in the shop (we all appreciated her hard work!) There was a kind lady in the botanical area who inspired my daughter to create a nature journal and gave her some pictures of plants to get her started, thank you! She also gave both my children a shell/pebble which they loved. We all had a great time and spent far longer than we planned to. The highlight (for me!) was holding a tarantula and milipead in the basement though! The owners were friendly, reassuring and knowledgeable. We would visit regularly if we lived closer! Thank you all so much!

Just got back from an AMAZING afternoon here! Despite being busy on a rainy half term Tuesday we were made to feel very welcome by all the volunteers and we were very happy to give a donation on entry. The whole building is stuffed full of fascinating specimens from all over the world - an absolute treasure trove. Highlight of the kids’ visit was being able to see and handle some creatures kindly brought in and managed by their owners - all of whom were extremely patient! Highly recommend.

We had a brilliant first visit! We were able get up close to live insects and reptiles. Holding snakes, stuck insects, millipede and a bearded dragon! The volunteers were encouraging, passionate, and willing to answer questions. A highlight for my son was a python curling up in his hoodie and settling in around his neck! What started as tentative snake holding became confidence and excitement. We’ll be back to explore some more.

Absolutely brilliant time here with the kids, highly recommend! Only recently learnt of this museum and wasn't expecting much initially. We were greeted by some lovely volunteers and although the entry was free, we did donate as this incredible museum relies on the donations and volunteers (so please do donate). The volunteers were all approachable and knowledgeable about the things you found here. We had a nice long chat with a gentleman volunteer who knew lots about the taxidermy wild animals and the preserved bugs. He told us many interesting facts about them. Our favourite part was the encounter with the live insects and reptiles, my daughter who used to be afraid of spiders held a sweet tarantula called Curly and now thinks they're adorable! We also wore noble snakes like scarves, had a cute bearded dragon snuggle into us and had the most gentle variety of insects crawl across our hands. We then explored the upstairs area of the museum which included a real Egyptian mummy surrounded by beautiful artefacts. Unfortunately we didn't have enough time to explore the downstairs area which the fossils and geology but will sure be back during the half term to see it!

Visited the soft play today with my son and friends. My son was hit in the back of the neck intentionally a few times with a high powered ball jet by an older boy.He has additional needs and was beside himself, took a while to calm him down then he didn't want to go back and play.He eventually did but wanted me to go with him.My friends daughter also got hurt by them and another young girl who was sat near us.Another girl got hit on the nose and it caused a nose bleed!!The manager did have 'a word' with the group of 3 10 -12 year old boys who were doing this but they were not asked to leave.Apparently they go there regularly and are known for doing this and why were they allowed admission without parental supervision?Quite a few children all younger than these boys were hurt by them in the 90 mins we were there. In the absence of a responsible adult you would have thought the leisure centre would have stepped up and refused entry without a parent and also as it wasn't the first occasion they have hurt others. Also letting them stay without a parent there and knowing they had hurt quite a few children?!My son doesn't want to go back now. There was also a leaky ceiling with buckets and wet patches and only 1 of the 2 toilets had a working lock. Not great for £7.50!The poor management really did affect our day out.

Great facilities and fab classes (you do need to be on the ball re booking for some of them lol). The sauna & steam rooms are so relaxing. The staff are all very friendly and helpful. Reasonable prices. So, definitely 5/5 from me.

This review is for the soft play. It is not worth the money and is not safe if you have a child under 3. While it is advertised that they have facilities for under 3s, the area is very small. Also, there is no staff attendant to help enforce the age restrictions. While we were there our 2 year old was repeatedly shoved and knocked by older kids running through the under 3 section, while their parents looked on.

Visited the centre yesterday. I very impressed with the facility having being shown around by Aaron the duty manager. First i would like to congratulate you on outstanding pool water quality (i have worked in similar facilities for 54 years and a current member of PWTAG and CIMSPA). Staff obviously take a great pride in keeping the centre immaculate and it was nice to see staff smiling and being very helpful. Thank you and keep up the good work team.

Soft play security! Be prepared to follow your little one around. They could escape and potentially get outside! 4 months ago we were told this was a fire escape which was under review. Looks as if it wasn’t resolved. 1) security gate at main soft play entrance not working (opens freely). (Update: I discussed with on duty manager and the explanation was “we encourage parents to close the gates”, “we check them hourly”. When I left, all gates were open (no self closing mechanism). 2) little ones (eg 3 year old) can leave the main “secured” soft play area, through the “over 3s area” and exit to the cafe where they can go down the stairs to the exit!

The walk commences at the town center and follows a circular route around the outskirts, featuring a gradual ascent along Castle Hill Lane with picturesque views of Avon Valley. This area is ideal for folklore tales related to dragons and smugglers. The path then passes an ancient hill fort on Castle Hill before descending back towards the village and skirting alongside the Open Forest.
This is a truly magical place. We went when the Fairy festival was on which is a great event with lots to do. You can also exit the festival to venture into Burley village and see the wonderful gift shops before heading back across to the festival. There is a circus show and kids can play, make wands. Slime and there are plenty of stories and show to keep you going all the way to the end. The 2 days do have different themes if you are looking for one day only. Highly recommend.

Have to be honest, was expecting more. Nothing opened until 10:30/ 11ish... Very small, shops had the same stuff in over and over, and very overpriced for what it was. Beautiful.location and the energy feels great, although, could as easily drive through and look.

Went exploring around some nice trails. Plenty of food shops to pick from. Toilets clean and no real queues. The fudge shop had plenty of types to buy. Didn't buy a pastie but smelt so good. Parking was 3.70 for 3 hours not bad.

Went to the fairy festival in Burley, which was lovely for the children. But Also had a walk around the village and some lunch in one of the pubs. The quaint little village was lovely, with the witches cottage, the quaint little shops and the commoning free roaming animals all add to the atmosphere. The locals we met were all welcoming, and the other visitors in their fairy costumes were all friendly. Definitely worth a visit.
Ellen D — Google review
The village is unique and charming but far too small for how busy it gets. It was heaving with families with little kids but the roads running through it are quite busy and the traffic can be quite fast. The pavements are mostly 1.5 persons wide which made walking around frustrating. I loved the witch themed shops, they are super unique, but unfortunately they mostly sell tat. Some of it is so bad that it’s actually come back around to be kind of funny and awesome, like goblets with 3d wolf faces carved into them, so they are not completely without merit. A charming little town but I was finished with it after about 1-2 hours.

If you're into witchcraft this is the place for you! Lots of love witchy and fairy shops, good tea rooms and just a lovely quaint feel to the place. Worth a visit.

Very small village the shops are all quite similar and sell similar items but it is a beautiful little village to visit we did learn not to feed the horses though so be cautious
Robyn Y — Google review
We were there for only 1.5 hour, so definitely not enough to really immerse ourselves into its surroundings and pockets of beauty. However, we definitely enjoyed our time there: we visited the various little shops about witchcraft and antiques, tried the delicious local fudge (definitely recommend that!) and saw plenty of horses roaming the streets (which is mainly the reason why it took us over 10 minutes to actually get to the village centre). Also, great parking and toilets facilities for such a small town. The only thing that for us was not working at all was the internet data, which I don’t know if it depends on our network provider or the area in general. There’s surely something special about this place and we would love to come back to explore some of the trails around. Worth a visit (we were there on a Monday during summer holidays in August)

Hiking area
National Trust - The Needles Headland & Tennyson Down offers an invigorating seven-mile hike with stunning views of the island. Along the way, you can explore a Cold War rocket test site, a 19th-century fort, and a monument dedicated to Alfred Lord Tennyson. The route also features a dog-friendly cafe for your furry companions.
I can't remember the last time I have been so impressed by a place. The whole coastline from Alum Bay to Compton Bay is such an impressive place in this beautiful world. I have bee there twice during my last holidays. The first time it was raining, not very heavily but it was extremely windy. So I was the only soul that was walking from the Needles to Freshwater Bay. Its s a beautiful walk you should do when visiting the Isle of Wight. On the first day the clouds were hanging so low, that the Tennyson Monument was fading in the clouds the closer I got. The clouds were blown up the cliffs, it was an amazing feeling of freedom that overcame myself that I will surely never forget.

From the car park at the bottom you can get a wider further view of the needles and there is a small amusement park. The walk up to the museum and the best view point is around 45 minutes-1 hour walk. The only parking at the top is for staff and disabled personal. There is also a bus that goes right up to the top. Average pricing with the kids price being around £8-10 and the adult prices around £15-17

Scenic area of chalk downland with great views over Freshwater Bay, the Solent and beyond. Reminiscent of the Seven Sisters in Sussex, but on a smaller scale, and much quieter even on a summer day. Easy walking with a clear grass path, and benches along the way. We started at Freshwater and walked to the Tennyson Monument, but the walk extends all the way to The Needles Headland for those with more time.

Great walk around a national trust park. Shame the old battery was closed. Good views of the needles from a dedicated viewing point- otherwise heavily fenced off.
Toby K — Google review
Very enjoyable walk, not difficult, not many people at all, especially when compared to the zoo and crowds of Needles. Lots of nice views and places to stop and enjoy.
Vlad K — Google review
The Needles, including this trail is a pretty area, not breathtaking. If you have been to the Seven Sisters, Cliffs of Moher, or the Twelve Apostles you will probably find this area underwhelming. The area has a nice walk with some lovely views and family activities on the outskirts, but it’s nice not amazing. There’s an asphalt path, stairs, and nearby traditional trails if you choose.
Allen R — Google review
One of my favourite walks. Stunning views as you wander across the cliffs. The hills can be steeper than they look so wear good footwear. If you're heading to towards The Needles it can take around an hour depending on if you're taking photos etc. You'll spot lots of wildlife on your way too including birds, bunnies and cows. The dog loves running around up here too. The local car park nearby is tiny and you risk not getting a space, I can't suggest a near enough alternative either.
Alex N — Google review
A lovely place to walk. Park at Tennyson Down National Trust Car Park, but note there is only space for around 12-15 cars maximum. Walk back down the road, turn left immediately at the map and follow the track uphill. It takes around 30 minutes to get to Tennyson Down, 45 mins to get to The Needles headland. Lots of rare butterfly species and a few birds of prey. The views on a sunny day are spectacular.

We had a wonderful time with our family at this lovely place, which offered various activities suitable for all ages, including our 4-year-old. We played bowling, and the children enjoyed several games in the arcade, while the adults relaxed with a few drinks at the bar. The drink prices were reasonable, and Jeff and Frankie were outstanding—always attentive and smiling, which created a delightful atmosphere. We enjoyed ourselves so much that we stayed until closing time. Thank you for a fantastic evening! Keep up the great work.

Been coming here for years and thought it was alright. Today I've been amazed. Customer service was fantastic. Went bowling, golf and soft play and enjoyed all of them. Pints were fresh and tasty too. Had free Halloween sweets, a print out of our scores and best of all.. Jo was amazing with my daughter. She was so friendly with them and not only that but she went out her way looking all through the golf and soft play for my daughter's hat which she lost. A+ customer service

A group I was with rented out this place and we had a wonderful time, taking over the bowling alley and mini golf. Cute, kitschy 50's decor. The place was quite clean -- almost TOO clean and smelled of chemicals, which was really my only complaint.

Amazing place lots of fun for the kids and adults! It was my son's 13th Birthday and the wonderful Phillip gave my boy a free prize which made his day! Phillip you are so kind and it was much appreciated! A credit to your team!

We went today as a family and absolutely loved it. The staff there is so helpful and polite . I went to Hollywood Bowl once and had a bad experience . At Hollywood, they gave such less tickets and the kids came out of there more upset than they were. But as Oasis, staff made my childrens day by giving them good toys for their tickets and especially Jen who was so kind with my kids. We would definitely come again and again as the staff there is amazing.. Thank you for a wonderful service

Had so much fun here today! The mini golf was lovely and quiet and so beautiful! I love all the hidden animals! Won some ducks from the archade winnings, and we got a 2nd for free! We were also offered a free bowling session! This place was so beautiful and the staff are so amazing here! This place is also perfect for young adults as we were worried it would be too childish.

Bowl Central is a great place for fun, with friendly staff and top-notch facilities. It's perfect for anyone looking to have some serious fun, whether they're into bowling or not!
One of the best arcade we’ve been too. We went twice during our stay in Bournemouth. First was a Thursday mid day, we loaded £20 and it was so worth it. I think they have a promo during midday weekday where you are only charged half the required credit. The second time was a Sunday, me and my family enjoyed it so much. The arcade was clean and well kept. Lots of unique games.
Laura L — Google review
We decided to have a few games of Bowling, first time in a while. There were 4 of us and we had 2 games, the cost was a couple of pounds short of £70, just for the games !! We did also have a few drinks, so we more or less spent about £100. It was enjoyable, but at those priced, I will not be rushing back.

We visited here for the first time during summer holidays whilst we were down. We decided to go on a Saturday night. The venue is clean and bright and very attractive. It had a wide range of arcade games and activities and my two little ones had a great time. They have cards you can buy and load credit onto which also stores the tickets on for claiming prizes at the end in the prize store. They had a wide range of prizes some were reasonable number of tickets but some other small bits were wanting much more than what it may have been worth which was a little off putting especially when your child points out something they see they like and you have to disappoint them and say sorry we don't have over 3000 tickets for a small gun. But other than that there was a lovely friendly and very kind and helpful young lady behind the counter who helped me and explained everything clearly and was also happy to help me to change something that we won which was broken to avoid my son being disappointed. We manage to play a good number of games and my children were happy. We would definitely visit again whenever we decide to go to Bournemouth again.

Usually great, the usual girls are lovely however when I've been recently one of the male staff working in the alley are so rude and uncaring.. completely unapproachable!! we asked how much one game for the 4 of us was and he responded “9 pound” we said we’d do two in that case and he put £70 into the card machine. It confused us as he told us for the 4 of us it would be 14 for 2 games. After then cancelling the transaction and setting it back up i had remember i had student discount. I asked if we could do student price to make it more affordable for us. He sighed out loud and rudely said “you know you’re going to need student id for that right?”. I had this on hand of course and he gave us another rude sigh as we reluctantly paid the £40 for one game.

Had our first visit to Bowl Central today. Staff were helpful and informative over the phone, and then kindly adjusted our pre booked time as we were running late and they had availability to postpone us by 45 minutes. We really appreciated that. The lanes and balls were all very new and clean, with music and lighting. Staff attentive. It's quite a compact set up compared to other alleys but we enjoyed it nonetheless. The arcade part is a little confusing as there aren't any clear prices on the games, and you play with a prepaid card, and it isn't entirely clear that you won't get tickets and prizes unless you opt for a certain type of prepaid card. It kinda takes the fun out of it a little, but overall a really great experience and we would definitely come back. Thank you.

Visited Bournemouth for my daughter's 9th birthday and glad we found this place! We went to the arcade by the pier initially but it was dirty. Then we found this gem. The staff were very friendly and helpful when I had questions and issues with machines. We both had a blast at the arcade here but my daughter left her prizes in the bathroom! Only noticed when we arrived back at Southbourne and we were heading back to London the following morning. Called and spoke with the manager Jack who agreed to post the items back to our address in London! I offered to pay for postage but he didn't accept. So grateful, thank you so much. We will definitely visit again when we return to Bournemouth.

Nestled in the heart of the New Forest, Red Shoot Camping Park is a charming family-run campground that offers an idyllic escape for those looking to immerse themselves in nature. Spanning four acres of gently rolling terrain near Linwood, this site welcomes tents, caravans, motorhomes, and campervans alike. With modern amenities such as heated showers and a delightful shop featuring fresh bakery goods, families can enjoy all the comforts while surrounded by stunning forest scenery.
Lovely campsite, great facilities and beautiful location. The pitch size was spacious and there were mature oaks dotted about the site. The staff were helpful and there were a lot of them! And the showers were excellent! Plenty to do locally also.

It was an emergency booking the morning we arrived as our original booked campsite rang us just an hour before we were going to leave that they had cancelled our booking. I went with a group of friends, us all 16, who wanted a relaxing week to celebrate exams and the end of secondary school. We had an amazing time and really enjoyed the campsite and surrounding areas; we went on a long walk through the forest and took some great photos. We would definitely visit again!!

-Well maintained campsite. Very clean toilets and showers. Busy but never had to queue for anything. -Would be nice to have choice over which pitch rather than being told where to go but it turned out to be a nice spot anyway. -Have to get staff to let your car out as there's a bollard, but it was never a problem. -Beautiful grassy area opposite the camping ground that horses sometimes passed through. -Nice pub next door. -Very experience at £40 a night over the weekend, £30 weekdays. By far the most we've paid for a small tent and two people.

Excellent stay, we were in the Bothy. The attention to detail was exceptional. I would give more than 5 stars if possible. Beautiful flower arrangements everywhere and all facilities were extremely clean. The cleanest campsite I have ever been to. Will definitely stay again and staff were very helpful and friendly.

Fantastic stay! Lovely, clean site with a shop that sells everything you could possibly need, (I bought a spare sleeping bag there) including milk, food and essentials. If you’d forgotten everything, you would probably be fine! Did a days work at the beginning of our holiday- working remotely, and the pub on site (Red Shoot) was perfect for ordering a bit of lunch and using a quiet nook inside- plenty of power points for your laptop, just courtesy to ask them first! Food there was lovely and fresh. Wild ponies made their routine walk past the site every morning, and we went on some beautiful walks nearby. Would definitely recommend this place- very sweet and friendly staff.

Great site with excellent facilities and good sized pitches. The new play areas are good quality, safe and away from moving cars and offer plenty to do for the kids both on-site and just off site. The shower block is immaculate and has plenty of hot water. The staff are friendly and helpful and the on-site shop was well stocked. They offer a 15% money off voucher for food and drink at the pub, which was much appreciated. No wifi or signal on site but could be accessed outside the pub so not really a problem.

Quiet place to camp in a secluded part of the new forest .. 2 pubs walking distance and lovely walks from the campsite. Staff friendly and helpful and site was well kept. A handy little shop and you are able to order fresh bread and pastries for the morning. Phone signal isn't great in that area but you can purchase WiFi for the weekend. Great stay ..thank you

Our Favourite Campsite – Perfect for Families, Mountain Biking & Relaxing in Nature We’ve been visiting Red Shoot Camping Park for years, and in our opinion, it’s simply unbeatable. The campsite itself is always in excellent condition – clean, well-organised, and peaceful. The showers are spotless with reliable hot water, and there are plenty of them so you’re never waiting. The pitches are spacious, which means you’ve got plenty of room to relax without feeling crammed in. The staff are always warm, welcoming, and more than happy to help with anything you need. The location is just stunning. My husband and I are both keen mountain bikers, and Red Shoot is perfectly placed with direct access to some brilliant trails through the New Forest. After a day out on the bikes, it’s a real treat to have some lovely local pubs nearby to refuel and relax. We’ve also been several times with our children, and they absolutely love it. They’re always fascinated by the New Forest ponies and donkeys that roam freely nearby – it’s such a unique experience for them and adds a real touch of magic to the trip. I honestly can’t speak highly enough of this campsite or the people who run it. Whether you’re after adventure, peace and quiet, or a fun family getaway, Red Shoot ticks every box.

The venue also features Laser Tower Tag where players use high-tech laser tag guns and haptic vests to feel the action. With more than 30 game options available, visitors can immerse themselves in various gaming experiences such as shooting, racing, and Assassins Creed.
We’ve visited this centre twice with the kids. Once for a friend’s birthday party, and another time on a rainy day while exploring Bournemouth. Both times we had an amazing experience! We played online games with VR headsets, and the kids loved jumping around on the new interactive floor – something they’ve never experienced before. We also really liked that during the birthday party, there was no need to go anywhere else for cake – you can rent a party space right there. We’ll definitely be coming back!

I took my kids to play VR games. The staff is very friendly and helpful. My son had some trouble with his VR headset, so they gave him extra time. Children love this place, they really enjoyed playing and as soon as we leave, they ask if we can come back. I like that I can see on the screen what they are playing. There's other entertainments that we haven't tried, but looks fun. Also I was happy about the free guest WiFi.

From start to finish of looking into the Venue after speaking to the staff we were sold! So helpful, nothing too much trouble and we were so blown away with the service. I cannot recommend it enough and I’m pretty sure there’s more booking to come from our group, the other parent were so impressed too. Thank you so so much.

Great for group meet ups and a new experience. I was visiting the area and this stood out as something to do in Bournemouth with my younger brothers, couldn’t have worked out better with good parking very close to the complex and plenty of food places local. Will definitely return with good prices and friendly staff that were good instructors also. Thanks for a successful outing which in my experience is getting rarer these days especially travelling over 250mile round trip.

We visited the Centre VR as a family to celebrate my birthday. It was a totally new experience for all 5 of us, but one which we thoroughly enjoyed. The staff were extremely helpful, they explained how the game and controls worked, and were on hand to help with any difficulties. We took our 6 year old, and played a family group game called Jungle Quest - it took the boy a little while to get comfortable with the controls, but once he did he loved it. We all did. You can easily spend a lot more money on an experience and not have as much fun as we did. We're already thinking about who's birthday is next so have a reason to come back!
Darren B — Google review
I organised a double stag day out last weekend. I chose the Centre VR as one of the activities being that NOONE on either of the 2 stag groups had done anything like it so it really was a completely new experience. We are an older group varying from 45-57, so none of us really knew what to expect in this virtual world. The staff and customer service was great, however being 2 groups of completely inexperienced people, it would have been extremely beneficial if there had been maybe a short tutorial during the first game with an instructer in the game with us. Several of us took up to 3 games before we figured out how to move around and sadly one of the stags gave up out of frustration about half way through because noone had spent enough time with him walking him through it step by step. That aside everyone thoroughly enjoyed the experience and hopefully some will be back.

Went here this week for the first time and so glad we did! A great play space for my two under 5s. They had a fantastic time ‘cooking’ in the kitchen, pretending to be Police officers, whooshing down the slide, driving the train, dressing up as Elsa… Staff (owner?) was very friendly and little touches like spare clothes in the case of accidents and spare nappies really made me feel like they care about the children. Next time we go I’ll definitely get a hot chocolate as it looked incredible! We’ll be back!

We had my daughter's 6th birthday party here! From the booking process to the time we left was exceptional. It's the little details that make this different to any where else we have booked. Chris was helpful and welcoming. All the kids get name badges, the table for food was beautiful and cute in equal measures. There was even a present and card from them for my daughter which was a real lovely touch. Food was lovely and they catered for all. We’re not local to Bournemouth, but come down a few times a year to visit family, and are always looking for things to keep our young kids busy while here. Discovery Village is brilliant! Really well put together, with lots of different areas to play in. I really liked the inclusion of a children’s entertainer to keep the kids engaged - not something I’ve ever seen in similar role play places. The toilets and cafe area were very clean, and the cakes and drinks were really nice. We’ll definitely be back next time we’re in town.

We visited on a Saturday and had a fabulous time. It was our first time visiting so didn’t know what to expect and we were not disappointed! It was a lovely bright, clean space. Not too busy with plenty of space for the children to play, the air con was lovely! The attention to detail in the role play village was amazing, every shop was kitted out and there was a theme on this day of ‘recycling’. Our son had the best time with the interactive Performance and songs, which were really entertaining but equally not too full on so the older kids were getting involved with the dancing and challenges and the little ones could crawl around and play too and be part of it. Chris and the staff were lovely, he introduced himself and made us feel very welcome, chatting to everyone. We loved the performer, in between the songs she spent time playing with the children in character and reinforcing the story! The iced teas (and multiple snacks!) were fab. Thanks so much Chris we will be back!

We visited discovery village whilst on our holidays! What an amazing place the staff are all very attentive and the village itself is fantastic. There was a play vet, salon, post office, farm shop, fire station, school, pizza restaurant and theatre. My children 5 & 2 absolutely loved running around the different areas, the attention to detail was amazing. I goggled things to do in the area as the weather was wet and we were camping the price was very very reasonable. Included in the price was entertainment from a very lovely lady who at different times of our visit sang, danced and read a story. The cafe was also a big hit with lots of different options for the children and adults. Lovely lovely place thank you!!

I’ve been to a lot of role play cafes and this is the best one by far! It’s not just a role play cafe but also a fully immersive experience for toddlers. The theme when we visited was Glastonboogie which was excellent. The rooms are really well put together (my children’s favourite was the theatre and fire engine). Our host was fabulous and included all children the activities. My two children (3 and 1) had a brilliant time! The cakes were delicious too which is an added bonus! We don’t live local but we will be visiting again soon.

Thank you all for a wonderful day!

My son (3 years old) absolutely loves it here. He always takes a little while to warm up as he can be a bit shy around other children but leaves so happy each time 🥰 The performer is always fun and engaging - we’ve seen the vet, postman and fireman. My son LOVED the sticker he got at our most recent visit and the bubbles which was a new addition. We’ve also booked for Mother’s Day. Discovery Village is a great way to entertain a little one for a couple of hours and encourage them to use their imagination 🤭 The staff are always super friendly and helpful too!

Nature preserve
Avon Valley Nature Reserve is a 34-mile long-distance walking route that starts at Salisbury Cathedral and ends at Christchurch. The trail showcases diverse landscapes including wetlands, chalk downs, hay meadows, woodland, and quiet villages before reaching the English Channel. Divided into five sections, it offers options for both strong walkers to complete the whole trail over a long weekend or for those looking to sample day routes.
I drove past yesterday to find out there is some sort of river works ongoing perhaps to improve flood control. These pictures were from years back to remind all of how beautiful and pristine the reserve was. I enjoyed quite a many walks in solitude at the reserve in 2019 and 2020. Seriously hoping the council gets this right and that the ecobalance and beauty of the reserve is restored back soonest.

Garden
Bournemouth Gardens, consisting of the Upper, Central, and Lower Gardens dating back to the Victorian era, is a beloved spot in the city. The well-kept gardens are adorned with blooming flowers and trees, complemented by a tranquil stream running through it. Visitors can enjoy a peaceful retreat in the heart of town. Whether strolling through during the day or admiring the evening lights, this picturesque setting offers an enchanting experience for all.
Went to Bournemouth to visit the winter wonderland Christmas lights.happy atmosphere was very busy as expected. lights look great and just really good buzz around Bournemouthgardens . Really nice refreshment place at the top of the gardens close to the bird house, can find some parking on Westover Road. The food in the square is low below average, slow to be served and expensive, the whole ood process could be improved and inpacts on the whole experience, The kids love the lights, just wrap up warm.

Bournemouth Gardens is one my favorite spots in the city. It's so well-kept, with flowers and trees blooming everywhere and a peaceful stream running through it. It's like a little slice of paradise right in the middle of town. If you're ever in Bournemouth, I highly recommend checking out Bournemouth Gardens. Trust me, you won't be disappointed!

Wonderful green space in the centre of Bournemouth. It is tranquil and pretty with well maintained plants, shrubs and trees. Lots of benches to rest. We bought ice creams from Tesco local (right my the entrance to the gardens) and chilled before heading towards the beach. As you go through the lower section of the gardens towards the beach there are maintained public toilets, a mini golf and several outlets for donuts, drinks etc. It is a great please for a walk.

Beautiful gardens, even at the end of winter when the first glimpse of spring is on just teasing

We went to Bournemouth Gardens after dinner around 22:25 hours just to see evening lights. It was really nice. I have posted few pictures. Please go and visit once. Many thanks.

Bournemouth has better blooms than an RHS garden I went to a few weeks ago!

Not as beautiful as it used to be due to the swampy bits, but still lovely.

Good to see people in the community working and helping in the cafe. Lovely, friendly atmosphere and good value for money.

I came here yesterday and nothing was here, unfortunately.
Hug D — Google review
Such a shame as it’s now a very poor mini golf course in Boscombe. Not maintained regularly enough. Every hole covered in leaves and tree debris and with added bonus of decomposing dead rat :( need to really improve if they expect people to pay the high charges to use course. Staff did not like to hear our feedback when we spoke to them.

Great place to walk dogs off lead. Great coffee but a bit pricey.
Debbie S — Google review
A very nice community cafe meet up with friends & family for coffee ☕ Very Relaxing & friendly staff plenty of car parking space highly Recommended

Scam company. Using the fake melting ice caps/climate change agenda to play on heartstrings, and dupe naive women and children into donating money
AP S — Google review
Great organisation offering lots of interesting activities.
