Experience the natural wonder of Tidal Bore Viewing in New Brunswick, Canada, where the Petitcodiac River near Moncton and Riverview showcases a unique phenomenon. The surging waters from the Bay of Fundy, home to the world's highest tides, create a mesmerizing display as they rush upriver twice daily during changing tides. For an optimal viewing experience, visit Tidal Bore Park in Downtown Moncton to witness this awe-inspiring event.
Watching the tidal bore was such a cool experience! Seeing the wave roll in with that much power was amazing. It’s wild how nature works like that. The whole vibe water rushing in, people watching in awe made it a very cool experience. Definitely worth checking out if you get the chance!
Adriano — Google review
Cool spot! Bought some green next store and enjoyed it while looking at the river
Kyle P — Google review
The bore itself is highly variable and most days it's not very big, but still it is a unique ocean phenomenon worth checking out. Nice viewing deck right on the river, free parking, near food.
Richard I — Google review
Wow! An insane amount of ice cream, and you can't go wrong with Chapman's ice cream. Reasonably priced for the amount you get. One scoop - The L'il Prince - was almost too much, and if you get the King size, it's 4 scoops. If you like ice cream, you gotta stop here when in Riverview.
Doug B — Google review
An amazing moment to remember. Nice trail to walk along while waiting. Make sure to check the bore website for schedule and arrive early.
Eric — Google review
It was just magical to watch the tide coming in
ARUN K — Google review
Stunning boardwalk views to enjoy the low and high tides. Would recommend this spot to sit and enjoy

Very cool to see the tidal bore. Be sure to be there at the exact times as it happens very quickly.

Museum
Specialty Museums
Resurgo Place is a spacious complex in Moncton that houses the Moncton Museum, the Transportation Discovery Centre, and a visitor center. It's an ideal destination for exploring science and the history of Moncton. The museum features interactive exhibits focused on transportation, showcasing Moncton's past as a rail and shipbuilding hub. Visitors can engage in hands-on activities such as testing aircraft in a wind tunnel, building small boats, and learning about gears and pulleys.
There was a bee exhibit on display, a Map of the city with interesting facts showing up on the screen of the taxi-like stroller once it moves over certain spots, a creative room for kids which had painting area and a small play arena, history of transportation, military, media and others in New Brunswick. There were interactive displays to help throw more light on some particular display, friendly staff and clean restrooms. I am glad I went after two years of always driving by it 🙈
Matilda O — Google review
Excellent place to learn about Moncton history. Displays are very informative and staff very knowledgeable to add more to your experience. The interactive displays are fantastic to engage children.
Gerald H — Google review
This is a fabulous museum. The first floor is full of interactive activities and arts and crafts for children. The staff were very friendly, engaging, and knowledgeable. A special shout out to guide Sadie who spent time with my kids !
Dolores E — Google review
An informative and fun experience to get to know more about local history. The staff at the front desk and staff throughout the museum were very nice and patient explaining everything to us. Lots of interactive activities too.
André S — Google review
Serge was fantastic — the best museum guide we’ve ever had! You can tell he truly loves what he does. Thank you so much for giving my family and me such an enjoyable experience. Thanks, Sergio, for your engaging talk! Also, many thanks to the reception staff — everyone at the museum was so kind and welcoming.
Alicia O — Google review
First I enjoyed the ground floor part which is more kid oriented but with the right state of mind an adult can have lots of fun, too. The second floor is a classic historical museum with nice objects. I especially liked the china used in railway travel and some of the clothes like for curling and ice hockey. I talked to a staff member and she was really welcoming. The person at the reception was standard, polite but not as warm as the other person. It's always nice when you are warmly welcomed. Am added plus.
Susa B — Google review
Was surprisingly super fun and interesting. Big room with interactive stations on all different transportation methods in NB in history. Very fun for kids. Good for history buffs, lots of old objects and clothing and their description. Very friendly and helpful staff.
Marieve T — Google review
A great museum to visit if you have some extra time. The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. We started with a tour of the non-denominational place of worship by Sadie who was really engaging and informative. It was a great way to start the visit. Once inside the staff were ever so helpful and approachable. Whenever we had a question, Ahmed (interpreter/docent) would look into finding an answer if he didn’t know it off the top of his head). Upstairs, Ethan introduced himself and let us know he was also available to answer any questions. Overall it took around 1.5-2 hours to visit the museum, but we took our time reading as much as we could. There was even space for younger kids to enjoy. This is a great spot if you’re looking to kill a bit of time and learn something in the process.

Wineries & Vineyards
Magnetic Hill Winery is a charming country-style B&B located on the grounds of a beautifully restored property from 1867. Situated near Magnetic Hill, it offers stunning views of the vineyard and is adjacent to the USVA Spa. The winery, lovingly restored by owners Jeff and Janet Everett, hosts weddings, events, and complimentary wine tastings.
This was my second visit to Magnetic Hill Winery, and I found myself once again immersed in a truly enjoyable experience. This time, like before, the tour was a perfect blend of education and entertainment, with our guide weaving captivating stories about the wines, labels, and the estate. The tastings, as they were during my previous visit, were thoughtfully curated to cater to our group's diverse tastes, enhancing the enjoyment of every sip. Following the tour, we got to enjoy the outside deck to relish more wine and charcuterie against the backdrop of a beautiful view. Another unforgettable outing filled with delicious wines, engaging stories, and great times! I would highly recommend Magnetic Hill Winery for any group outing!
Leah S — Google review
My mom, boyfriend, and I visited this gorgeous winery all the way from Philly and New York. We enjoyed the selection of wines and the server was kind and attentive. I thought it was pretty affordable as we got wine flights with the base price instead of selecting wine samples with an up charge. I enjoyed all the fruity wines I tried. The charcuterie board was perfect to share between me and my mom. Great views, great service, we would definitely recommend it!
Janelle H — Google review
Went to the winery with my wife for a wine tasting. Impressive building with lots of glass and a tremendous view looking out over the valley. The staff were very accommodating and service was very good. The wine was great. We purchased a half dozen bottles. First time there. Would love to go back.
Jack S — Google review
Beautiful building including a multi level patio that offers a stunning view. The charcuterie board was good. Wine flight and spritz flight were good. Pricing on these 2 items are hefty though. Spritz flights for 35$ was excessive. The wine flight consist of 4x 2oz pours for 15$, but most of the wines have extra +5$ each, so the flight end up at 35$ for a total of 8oz, it's high!
Max C — Google review
Great place to visit in Moncton area. Good service and atmosphere , reasonable prices. Also, nearby nice zoo and summer time, aquatic park. Recommended.
Vitaliy A — Google review
This winery was the redeeming part of our visit to the magnetic hill "illusion" (which was a tourist trap!). The estate is beautiful, they have adequate parking for a camper van as well. The views from the tasting room was breathtaking showcasing rows of vines growing. There is outdoor and indoor seating - outdoor was a bit windy given how high the property sat on the hillside. I was pleasantly surprised with their wines! This was my first time trying NB wines (coming from Ontario). They do have charcuterie boards (including a vegan one!). We purched 5 bottles to take home. Service was friendly. The redient pup did come quickly to say hello, but left swiftly.
Jennifer S — Google review
Such a wonderful experience at this lovely winery! Our tour was quick but fun and informative. The tastings were great with a lovely view of the city and service was absolutely phenomenal!
Rachelle R — Google review
We stopped in for a tour, dinner and some wine after the spa and would highly recommend it. Beutiful property, friendly informed staff and unique tasty wines to try. Cab ride into the city was only $17 so no worry about driving.

Farmers' market
Nestled between Main Street and the river, the Moncton Market is a vibrant hub that comes alive every Saturday morning throughout the year. With over 100 vendors showcasing their wares, visitors can explore an eclectic mix of farm-fresh produce, mouthwatering pre-made foods, and unique artisan crafts. This market not only offers local delights like Dutch cakes and blended teas but also highlights cultural influences from recent immigrants, such as delicious treats from a new Syrian catering company.
Great place to shop local for all kinds of goodies, from food to crafts. Visit on Saturday. Please stop by Simon Family Eggs for a fantastic selection of all sizes of brown or white eggs.
Leonard W — Google review
A MUST STOP on a Saturday. Was visiting family I had never met before, my Dads cousins. They happen to own Down East Coffee & their son owns Buzz Du Jour. BOTH are wonderful options to get your caffeine fix. I wish I could remember the bakery I stopped at. Inside was hopping & so many fun little booths. Only was there for an hour but could’ve easily spent the day! Hopefully I get back over especially to take some photos. 😂
Holly G — Google review
This market was awesome parking was 5$ right beside the building with parking attends outside. This market was very alive with so many different vendors food options and drink stands. I bought some soaps sparking cider beef jerky. a lemonade and also some mini donuts. All those things were amazing and reasonable prices all the vendors were so nice
Christine — Google review
An impressive (and large!) selection of local fare from a wide range of vendors. I came away with a pound of coffee from Down East Coffee Roasters, sourdough from Co-Pain, pickled fiddleheads, maple cream, dolma, yellow beans and microgreens, a gloriously ashy goat cheese, baklava and ma-amoul, and some bulgogi for lunch that was stir fried on the spot.
Kelly — Google review
Amazing stop to try a bunch of local vendors to pick up breakfasts and lunch. They have many ethnic foods to chose from. We tried the Chilean empanadas that was just stuffed full of meat for $5. The favourite was the Vietnamese subs that was just delicious. The bread was crunchy but soft in the middle with a decent amount of meat and pickled veggies for $8! Picked a few pastries along the way as well. A must see and eat in Moncton!
Minh L — Google review
Very cool spot with a lot of options in the realm of foods and crafts/art. Bigger than the Fredericton market with a lot of international food options. I will very much miss not being able to regularly get the authentic Vietnamese coffee from Coco Saigon and I cannot wait to go back some weekend to try their food. Here, you can get all the produce you could want, bath bombs and crystals. Sewn and knitted objects. Pottery, carved art, clothing and much more. I also loved the live music stage bringing even more excitement to an already bustling area.
Andrew B — Google review
I have not been to this place for a while and I decided to check this place again and i enjoyed my visit there. More vendors more choices of food and other non food too. Great food choices and well maintained place. The parking is difficult at times to find. But it is a good place to support locals and try different food.
Davette C — Google review
This is an amazing market. Not enough time to enjoy it all! An enormous selection of food to try! Best cinnamon rolls ever!

Nature & Parks
Centennial Park is a sprawling city-center park in Moncton, New Brunswick, offering year-round recreational facilities. It's a fantastic green space with plenty to do, from exploring trails and enjoying picnic spots to cooling off at the splash pad in the summer. The park features a serene man-made lake for paddle boating and bird-watching, as well as a playground for children. In winter, visitors can enjoy activities like skiing on the multiple trails that wind through beautiful scenery.
Lovely wel kept park with easy trails to walk on. In places, it's secluded as if you're not in the city at all. The park also has a pool, courts, and a huge playground, splash pad.
Skye D — Google review
Great splash pad, parking close by, can bbq at picnic areas great play ground and a nice walk/riding path around pond. A good and cheap family day. Trees offer shade. Enjoyed this park every time ive been with family (public washrooms as well)
Brett M — Google review
A nice, large park for recreation. It has plenty of trees and a river. There is a swimming pool in the summer and boat rentals available. There are several picnic and relaxation areas with many tables and free grills.
Anna K — Google review
Beautiful park that has something for everyone no matter what the season! Splash pad is fully accessible and great even for toddlers. There is a huge playground with equipment for all ages, a basketball court, and plenty of picnic space. There are some beautiful trails, and you can easily push a stroller or wheelchair around the lake.
Lieneke O — Google review
Attended the Atlantic Nationals car show, fantastic experience. My first show as a competitor, I did not win any prizes but we had a wonderful weekend. Looking forward to this annual event from here on in. 1700 cars in the show, one of the largest shows.
N. B — Google review
Great park for everyone to enjoy. There's lots of walking paths and a lovely playground for the youth. In the winter, there is a skating path, and in the summer, the pool and splash park will help you cool down. There are tennis courts and lawn bowling greens. There's places to BBQ and have picnics. Lots of parking is available too.
Linda B — Google review
This is a park I go to often for an easy but very enjoyable walk. The trails are long enough to lose yourself in calmness and nature for a little while and separate yourself from town living, it is also easily accessible through the city bus (codiac) system. In the winter it is perfect to go tobogganing or do some cross country skiing.
Sam F — Google review
Nice park and wooded area for a walk, picnic, water park. Will be even better once the construction is completed. Winter update, construction is done, park looks great and skating loop is very nice although a bit melted due to warmer temperature.

The park offers various activities such as hiking, biking, snowshoeing, and kayaking on the lake. A beautiful and well maintained park on the edge of Moncton. Well used by joggers, bikers, and dog walking. Cool and forested on a hot day and enjoyable with a minimal of bug spray. Facilities along the trail for use and a large clean washroom in the parking lot. Lots of parking and friendly encounters along the trail. No costs involved, just a free nature good time. Well worth a visit. Please pick up after your pet if you bring him or her along for a visit.
Bob W — Google review
23 June 2024 The MAIN trails are beautiful. Clean, well marked to easily locate where you are or intent to go. The trails are wide, level/even terrain with a nice ground material, for great footing. Along the trails are some nice bridges, benches, and porta poties and singage. The side trails are a totally different beast. I was taken by surprise by how poorly marked and maintained these trails were. I've seen a lot of trails and some of the side trails I wouldn't consider a public trail but rarher a direction through the the woods o get through to a trail. Above all, it was a very enjoyable trail.
Jason P — Google review
Oh this is a magnificent park, with easy and long enough trails for everyone and beautiful views. All the trails I have been on this park are mostly flat, which makes it easy for those with certain conditions. And all of them offer beautiful forest settings, completely natural surroundings and quiet time. The park gets you far enough from traffic noise (in contrast to Centennial park which is beautiful but some parts have too much noise during the day because there's construction going on in the back and there's a highway there too). This is a beautiful place to go and relax, and enjoy nature. I recommend it in the fall (October, photos are from October 10), the colors are STUNNING.
Sam F — Google review
Love this beautiful trail, you could spend a full 8hrs or more on all the trails. There are so many and it is well maintained. Plenty of look out points and beautiful things to see. Bring your walking shoes a camera and something to feed the ducks. So happy this place is just a small drive away in the city. Can not wait to go back and try more trails and see the new bridge when it is done.
Cristina T — Google review
We took the whole family for an afternoon walk. Beautiful scenic trails. Cute little critters and tons to keep even my Youtube adicted kids distracted for a few hours. I love the lake and the small creeks with the sturdy bridges. There are markers on the trail and clear maps to follow if you get lost. Lots of benches for resting and even bathrooms here and there. It's mostly clean and very well taken care of.
Benoit B — Google review
Such a beauty of a spot. Perfect for long walks in and around the forest, serenity! The water ways are beautiful too. Many places to sit and soak in the sunshine. Also has covered areas perfect for photography in the rain. I love this park

The Moncton Public Library is a haven for young readers, offering a diverse collection of children's books and engaging reading programs. The library features a blend of old and modern architecture, providing a welcoming environment for visitors of all ages. Visitors can enjoy interactive activities, storytelling sessions, and language circles to practice English, French, or Spanish. The children's section is well-equipped with toys and books, along with a separate washroom for young visitors.
Lots of books to find in their catalog. They'll ship from another Library within 2 to 5 days. Excellent staff, clean and tidy shelves, beautiful building. A spot to eat if you need to. All around great spot for our city.
Jody J — Google review
Asked the front desk for a classic novel by Truman Capote "In cold blood". The librarian was very helpful and ordered the paperback from another library for me. Upstairs service staff is great with 3D printers, computers and office supplies.
Karam K — Google review
The Moncton library has a pleasant and calming affect on me when I enter the doors :) The second floor has all the Non-Fiction arrangement of books. Their Astronomy section is not the greatest, but I am almost positive anyone can order books from other libraries, if the book is not available. They also provide snacks when you first come into the entrance. The staff are very respectful and also triple "C": (Cool, Calm, and Collective). The only negative experience I have had so far; was when I was looking for a designated smoking area, and found a semi-enclosed smoking area. When leaving I was approached by their security, and was told I was seen on camera for what appears "I was smoking Crack, and that this section is only for employees... I get it, I am Homeless, but just because I try to be polite and open-minded, I feel as though most security people in Moncton assume that every homeless person is up to no good... Hence on drugs and causing a disturbence. I have been told by numerous security at numerous locations in Moncton that "this smoking section is only for employees". My bad for going off track, but in other parts of Canada where I have been homeless; I found strangers were more embracing and empathetic. It's almost like most people here are either afraid, cannot be bothered, or assume Im stealing? Oh well, I love this library, and really enjoy the peace of mind get to sit on a comfortable couch/chair and read away :) Thank you.
Darryl — Google review
Very good place Either to relax and read a book or even take your children there and play and learn many things for children theirs puppets for a show or cars or other toys and y coloring sections so it’s great for all ages
Amanda A — Google review
It was our first time in this library as we just moved to Moncton. I can not say much about the rest of it, but the little kid's section was great! A lot of toys, funny chairs and of course books. What I also loved and find very important - there is a separate washroom for that section. It has tiny toilet and sink so my 2 year old daughter could do everything by herself. UPD One year later I still think this place is great for many reasons. The last reason is that we discovered an opportunity to make our own pins. There are a few pin-makers on the second floor. You can either print your desired picture at home or right there at the library. There are 3 different sizes. They cost a little money to make, but it's really little (cents).
Victoria L — Google review
Daniel was very kind and helpful. He assisted me patiently even when the library was about to close. Thank you for your great service

02 level of knowledge for everyone. Very friendly staff. Easy access for all the facilities available. Kids area, study rooms, free internet and many more equipment available for use. I always go through the notice board to see new activities. Lots of opportunities for language training. Most of the days you will see art exhibitions by local artists and many more art on the exhibit permanently. Printing and photocopy available for print. Some cooking equipment is also here for you to rent without charge I think.

Such a fun and exciting place! The variety of games and activities is fantastic—there’s something for everyone, from kids to adults. The staff are friendly, helpful, and always ready to explain how things work. The space is clean, well-organized, and has a great atmosphere that makes you want to stay longer. Perfect for family outings, group hangouts, or even just some solo fun. Highly recommended for a great time!

I hope this message reaches staff! I just wanted to say a big THANK YOU to all the staff!!!! This year was our first year with a season pass so we really seen first hand how hard they work! From having to run in extreme heatwaves, to having to yell repeatedly the same rules in the wave pool, & even responding with great speed and professionalism more then once for a missing child. When most of these staff are young adults / teenager themselves. The amount of times I seen a lifeguard dive into the wave pool to help a child ( usually without a parent) going under. Sometimes even adults! Each and every “emergency” and interactions was done amazingly!!! Even tho they were so hot themselves with the weather they always put their 100% and me and my family truly appreciate all your hard work! Good job all of you! I look forward to getting seasons passes again next year and spend another summer at our favourite place! Thank you all!! 😊

I've been here many times as a child but this is my first time going with a child. I'd rank it somewhere between a 3 and a 4. Some of these are our fault for not doing more research. Hopefully this will save some others from making the same mistakes we did. Things we wish we knew before hand: The park WILL sell out on busy days. We learned this at 8am, morning of. The 10am "time" was sold out, so we had to settle for 12pm. We bought the 12pm slot at 8am, which was the right call because by 12pm, it was sold out for the day. Single tubes are available by standing in line for a tube ride (lazy river or tornado). Double tubes are NOT available unless by rental. By 12pm, guess what...THEY'RE ALL SOLD OUT. You have to keep checking back periodically and hoping someone returned one. We finally got one at 3pm. $3 per hour, $15 max for the day. The lines are pretty long but move fairly quick. There are lots of slides and options. The food prices, in my opinion, were reasonable. We went to the Cafe on the side of the steamboat. Poutine, cheeseburger platter, nugget platter = $45 after tip. MY SUGGESTION: 1) BOOK TICKETS AHEAD OF TIME ONLINE FOR 10AM 2) GET DIRECTLY IN LINE FOR A DOUBLE TUBE WHILE 3) SOMEONE ELSE IN YOUR GROUP SECURES YOUR LAWN CHAIRS I hope this helps!!!

I was very impressed with the lifeguards, they were hmm, moving, constantly watching all of the people, and only interacting with guests when appropriate. My only thing would be. The lifeguards could be more visible with some thing to make them stand out in a busy crowd.

Took 3 boys aged 12 and 10 to visit for the day. We bought our tickets online the night before. We arrived just after 11 and was happy to be able to set up at some lounge chairs. One thing I enjoy is that we can take our cooler with us into the park. Boys that age eat tons of snacks so always nice to have lots with us and cold water. The boys all enjoyed the watersides but I would have to say I believe the wave pool is their favorite. The wave pool does seem as though it could use a major upgrade, parts few the walls and floors are floating around in the water. Lazy river was fun but it some parts can be a little slow moving. Overall it was pretty clean throughout the day even being a hot busy day. We ate some snacks and beavertails of course while visiting. Closed the park down. Overall a great day.

This place is very fun and can last a whole day here! The wave pool is so fun because sometimes there are really big waves and sometimes not. The lazy river is fun to do solo or with other people. The wide variety of slides and other little attractions around the splash zone are amazing. Went all most slides and they were amazing. I will definitely be back!

Marché Dieppe Market is a bustling place on Saturdays, offering an opportunity to discover the local produce and goods of Dieppe. With two floors of vendors, visitors can explore and indulge in handmade treats while supporting local businesses. While it may get crowded, arriving before 10:30 am can provide a more relaxed experience. The market offers a variety of items, including low-sugar pastries from Jemmy Gourmet and other delicious food offerings.
Love this farmers market. So busy when my lovely wife Pat and I went this past Saturday. There are so many lovely smells, sights and sounds. We both enjoyed our meals obtained at two different vendors. Capped it off with a delicious treat shared at one of many food stalls. We did pick up a few items for home use. We arrived just before noon and parking was difficult. One vehicle pulls away and another quickly fills that space. Many vehicles are idling while waiting for a spot to open up. Suggest getting there early or simply be prepared to have your driver walk a bit. Transit would be the ideal method of hassle free attendance. Be prepared for a lineup at any great venue. We gave up on finding seating to eat our meal. Wound up eating while seated in our car. It was great to see this place back to its old self. Back to the pre-COVID days. This is a reminder to please mask up if having any symptoms or worry about catching anything since attendance was elbow to elbow while we were there this past Mar 8, 2025.

I got such a great collection of fresh vegetables, cheese, pate, bread, and lunch at the market. Everything was so fresh and beautiful. Highly recommend the lobster omlette i got, though i now can't recall the name of the restaurant! On the furthest wall, just two spots up from the indoor eating area. Look at this fun bread!! 😍
Kassandra P — Google review
I only go there mostly for Jemmy Gourmet lol, it's probably the only place I'd buy pastries from for their low-sugar pastries and how good they are. Items at the market can be quite pricy, so spend your money wisely. Food is decent, but can be expensive at some stalls. There are nice treats sold here though so if you ever want to treat yourself to something fancy, try the pastries at Jemmy Gourmet, chocolate or whatever else the market has in store!

In Moncton for a visit. Went to this market on a Saturday morning to look around and explore the area. The place is not very big but there are a lot of vendors in there and it is interesting to see what the local sells and the varieties of fresh produces and other stuff. It took me about 30 mins to scan through the entire area. The place is really packed with people and cars lining up to find a place to park. Recommend going before 10:30am before the huge crowd arrived. Overall, a good experience.

Good-looking park with nice paths and landscape design. There is a fountain, quite a lot of old trees, flowers and lawns which are taken care of. It's convenient that there's a school right across the street with a good playground. Unfortunately there are a lot of homeless people, so you can see some garbage left. Also somehow dog owners not always clean after their pets😩

This is the place I would come to if I were looking for a gift for someone. Beautiful pottery and artwork by local artists. The little café serves excellent Americano and breakfast toasties. The staff are friendly and the whole area was clean and tidy. It's very easy to get to from the Riverfront walk and they have on site parking as well.

We were also lucky to have participated in one of their paint classes☆. Foods and drinks have always been delicious and are at a fair price. Very unique and one of a kind items to be found here. Most items crafted locally. Great people seem to find there way here and also run the place. ☆Photographs are attached of the paintings we each did through one of their paint classes.

Went here with my mom to see if she would be able to provide art pieces for them a few days ago. No one was up front, there were several other groups of people who also were confused. An older lady told us she hadn't seen any staff in a long time. Then a staff member saw the people up front, didn't say anything, and turned around to go out back and disappeared. We waited more and no one ever came. So we left, and so did the other people. Can't buy anything when no one is there 🫤

Great outdoor space to learn. Skateboard, scooters, bmx, rollerblade all allowed. Right next to waterfront and leads to walking trail. Great spot to take some wicked shots or videos. Bring your camera, it's worth it. Featuring some local art, this place is consistently changing.

The Downtown Skate Park in Moncton is a solid spot for skaters, BMX riders, and scooter kids alike. Right off Assomption Boulevard and next to the Riverfront Trail, it’s easy to get to and surrounded by a nice view. The layout is well thought out with a variety of features—quarter pipes, pyramids, ledges, stairs, rails, a volcano, a pump track—you name it. Whether you’re just learning or you’ve been riding for years, there’s something here for everyone. The park is open 24 hours a day, which is awesome if you’re looking for a quiet session late at night or early in the morning. It’s lit until midnight, and after that, you’re still free to skate—it’s just darker. There’s almost always someone around, and the vibe is friendly and low-key. That said, the place is absolutely covered in graffiti. Some of it adds a bit of grit and character, but a lot of it just makes the place look kind of trashed. Still, it doesn’t take away from the quality of the park itself.

Not a skater, but always enjoy walking through or around this part of the park. Normally, I'll have our two little dogs on our walk while my lovely wife, Pat, is not far off at the local marketplace. If the park is busy with skaters, we'll walk around this skating area. If it's not busy, we'll walk through it. I've discovered that both our little dogs love climbing hills, so that's what we'll do. There's one especially sharp/steep hill that both surprised me in being able to climb. I simply walked up the steps adjacent to the hill. I find this area rather clean and always impressed with its variety and size. Makes me wish I was 50 years younger. Once we're done our walk, we continue our journey over to the marketplace where Pat will have a tastey sausage dog for me and treats for our dog journey dogs.

Took my two sons here ages 10 & 11 and they had a blast. It is crowded but it was worth it. Park is in a nice area and layout is great. There is seating at one end but would have liked seating at side so i could supervise my children easier and be able to see them at all times. I ended up just laying a blanket out on grass under a tree so i could watch them.

The Greater Moncton SPCA is a vibrant community with plenty of opportunities for entertainment and socializing. The City of Moncton hosts free outdoor concerts in Victoria Park and at the Market on Tuesdays and Saturdays during the summer, while Midi Musique offers midweek performances at Oak Lane. Additionally, there are various groups in the area that welcome new members or offer free meetings for those interested in joining without commitment.

Our experience there was terrible. We fell in love with a lovely dog who had been there for 41 days at that time. So we visited twice. When we brought our well behaved retrievers to meet this dog, first, the young women asked my husband to go outside and she took our dog by the leash. Instantly changing the normal dynamic. She faced them off in the middle of the room..mine sat still while the poor adoptee sniffed them, appropriately. While this was going on, meowing cats were being moved around us in cages, causing chaos and the dog to fixate on those cats. At one point, the dog gave one of our boys a wee growl. Nothing scary, mine didn't react. Not backing away,no jumping or fear. The worker, who claimed to know animal behaviour, then decided to deny us the privelege of bringing the poor dog home with us. She said she saw a blood bath coming. The poor dog is still in that cage, now 45 days. She will likely growl at any strange dog who is forced to sit in front of them for a sniffing. All we wanted was to rescue this poor girl. We are experienced dog owners, many times over. I left in tears. The whole experience was disgraceful. Seems like donations are happily taken. Hopefully they let the poor girl out of her cage a few times a day. Would not recommend.

If I could give 0 stars on this place I would. I cannot believe they charge you to get your animal back, and they tell you on the phone they were the ones who found it and they charge 100$ for the city fee due to finding your cat. First of all, people are the ones finding those cats / dogs and bringing them to the spca. I don’t see them driving around looking for these stray animals. Second of all, they stated my cat was taking in yesterday evening. It hasn’t even been 24 hours and they are trying to charge me the city fee and for two days. Which comes to 160$ in total, this place has gone down hill extremely and they don’t care about the bond people have with their animal that went missing. It’s a rip off and a nasty place to be in the city.

April/04/24 my wife and I visited to see if we could adopt a dog named Sam.The staff member seemed to be rude and after a short 2 minute interview said we were not suited for this particular dog because we have grandchildren which by the way we rarely see accept for special holiday family dinners, and are all older in age ( teenagers and 20 year olds). In any case today my wife left another phone message and no reply as the voice on the shift supervisor answering service is hmmmm can you guess.I believe the actual reason for refusing to help us is because of my voice defect from surgery, fighting cancer for 10 yrs now its showing its toll with things such as speech impediment and general physical appearance. We have had the pleasure of raising several breeds such as Shepard, Malimute,Husky Rotweiler, black lab, border collie to name a few, and have dealt with dogs with food issues before. I recently lost my companion of 10 yrs and feel the need to fill this void in my life as i seem lost without him at my side. We wanted to rescue a dog because we wanted a dog that needed us as much as we needed him/her. We feel we need to actually need to rescue this dog from the SPCA from what we have witnessed so far. Going back tomorrow to visit Jake if he is still available and to speak to upper management. Stay tuned for further developments as this next visit will be commented on also.

Had a dog for 3 years that started turning on the owner and it's own babies, with nowhere else to go and not wanting to put the dog down the SPCA was the only option. They refused to even look at the dog and just repeatedly stated it was the owners responsibility to deal with the dog and they wouldnt take him. Instead of helping the dog they would rather the owner pay close to 700$ to put down their best friend. This is suppose to be Animal Control, you answer shouldn't be "Deal with it yourself."

Magnetic Hill Park, located in the foothills of Magnetic Hill in Moncton, is a popular destination for locals and tourists. The park offers an intriguing optical illusion where cars appear to roll uphill when placed in neutral on the road leading to the hill. Visitors can drive themselves to the park and follow signage to experience this phenomenon. Additionally, the park features gift shops, restaurants, and a water park for visitors to enjoy.
Kind of gimmicky for $7 just to drive through the road that is just a big illusion. Takes a few minutes to experience it a few times, then its over. But worth it anyways and it is quite unique and you can't find it anywhere else. Consider it a donation to maintain the area and make it a fun place for the kids. Lots of do when everything is open.
Colin L — Google review
So, it turns out that the magnetic hill phenomenon is a fake. It's all about visual perception. For some reason, most people feel like the car is facing downhill while it starts to roll backwards. It did not feel that way to me at first. But, it was still a thrill moving backwards, especially for the kids. You can read the explanation in the pictures I have posted. Look for the video, which I'll post on YouTube. Price is $7 per car for a 30-45 second experience. Maybe I'll build one like it in my backyard and charge an admission fee. 😆 Young kids will enjoy the experience. Be prepared to do some explaining afterwards.

We went to magnetic hill park to experience magnetic hill. When we got to the hill itself, it was an absolute cluster F of vehicles going in all directions. They tell you to move over to the left lane beside the white post. Vehicles were trying to exit in the same lane. While we were waiting our turn, the guy in front of us got out of his vehicle and started yelling at us to put our vehicle in neutral and start rolling backwards even though it wasn’t our turn. Once we had our turn, it wasn’t what it’s cracked up to be - in our opinion. You’re rolling backwards down a slight grade to gain momentum to go upgrade? We got frustrated and left. If anyone from the park Is reading this review, please take note that there needs to be staff coordinating traffic in this area or more signage in place in the area to direct people in lanes and where to wait their turn. As someone else stated in their review, it’s only a matter of time before there’s a fender bender. I’m sure the rest of the park is a great attraction, but until this park sorts out this traffic coordination issue, don’t waste your money and time on this.

Additionally, it provides a beautiful setting for walking with various bird species flying around. Nearby, there are restrooms available at an information center where visitors can also receive free information about the tidal bore in both English and French.

Nice little spot. It's a small park, but the area by the river has a ton of bench seating to watch the bore. Only a handful of people there when we went. We were in time.to see it, just so I would suggest giving yourself 20-30m prior to posted times to be there.

Great place in the city to watch the “rapids” with great foot path all along the trail. We went at high tide and the waters were quite high and so were the winds. We didn’t get to see the rapids where you could actually surf on but the currents were strong. Definitely not a place to fall in during high tides. Nature really is magical.

A stunningly beautiful and touching memorial to three fallen RCMP officers. Heroes in Life - Not in Death 🍁 🍁 🍁

A beautiful and heartbreaking memorial. Taking time to really see all the details was very sombering.

My 5 years old daughter want to stop there and play in the rocks. Gave me time to reflect and remember the hard work and sacrifice the police do for us.

Thankful we had some time on Victoria Day while in Moncton to stop by the RCMP Memorial, pay our respects and remember the sacrifices of these brave souls and their families and loved ones left behind. Never again…we will always remember them.

Very moving, beautiful spot by the river. Sad, but very classy at the same time.

Grateful of the sacrifice made by our Men and Women of law enforcement. Let us never forget their sacrifice. Thank an RMCP officer 💙

Mapleton Park is a protected natural sanctuary located in Sackville, near the Bay of Fundy system. The park offers rustic nature trails, an ice rink during winter, and restrooms for visitors' convenience. It is a popular spot for hiking and snowshoeing, with groomed and natural trails catering to different preferences. The park features interpretive signage that educates visitors about its diverse ecosystem, including wildlife and vegetation.
A great park to enjoy nature in Moncton. If you are visiting it's conveniently located near multiple hotels, the park has a dozen or so trails and plenty of wildlife throughout. I highly recommend going in the fall for the sublime colors.
Joshua — Google review
The parking is VERY bumpy, The park/trails itself is beautiful, little street signs, trails varies from flats to a little bit of hill. Beatiful view of a lac with some ducks. Lots of different vegetation. They also have public restroom, some benches and places to sit down and eat whatever you bring.
Yannick L — Google review
Great nature park with multiple trails to choose from, public washrooms, benches and plenty of parking. Most of the trails have little hills and areas to picnic at. Winter update, main trails are very well maintained but definitely recommend wearing cleats, for the smaller trails which are not cleared snowshoes might be a must, I did not venture that way. Enjoy!
H M — Google review
Really nice trails with portable bathrooms that didn't stink (thankfully) my son had a bird fly down to his hand and take bird seeds from his palm, such a nice experience! I will be going back often with my kids.
Jackie C — Google review
This park was an excellent place for an hour long walk. We did the loop of it, which was just under 6k- Lots of birds and small wild life. Well marked trails, nicely groomed and maps along the way. There's decent parking and porta potties, though no sanitization available within. Overall a really nice spot for a trek.
Lindsey R — Google review
It's always good to keep ourselves close to Nature. A beautiful park and very well-maintenance 🙏🙏🙏

Riverfront Park, located in downtown Moncton along the Petitcodiac River, offers 5 km of paved multi-use trails for walking, running, and cycling. The park features various monuments and lookout points such as the RCMP Memorial, Honour Garden, and Bore Park where visitors can watch the Tidal Bore. It is a popular destination for tourists with its natural features, sports fields, skateboard park, and summer festivals.
Peaceful in the early mornings, great event space for things like Canada Day and excellent location to get both urban and nature in your visit to Moncton. This is also not far from a spot where you can see the tidal bore twice a day. Avenir Centre is next door, the downtown food and bar scene as well. For the animals and kids, there's lots to do as well as the trail system goes on for a while and there's plenty of green space. Finally, there's also quite a large skate park for the region. During Canada Day, a competition is held.
Andrew B — Google review
Good place to walk or ride a bike! It's too close to downtown so sometimes you have to deal with the homeless but it's not a big deal, just something to take attention.
Pablo L — Google review
This place has a long trail along the riverfront from Dieppe to Riverview, you can ride your bikes and long boards etc. The landscaping is always well kept and you can setup a picnic and bring your dogs out. There's always events there in the summer with vendors, food and live music. There are paid parking nearby when the street parking's are taken. There is also a skate park next to the memorial which is also nice.
P S — Google review
I always love to walk this park any time of the day. Perfect place to see July 1st fire works. Snowbirds and other events happening around Moncton. Plenty of places to sit. And River views with tide. Summer full of events. One thing less is washrooms. There was one long time ago. But now only during events. There are information about old Moncton. And nature. You can ride bicycles. And open 24 hours.
Steve J — Google review
It is a peaceful place for a walk, and there are seating areas available. There are many different cafes, some even featuring live music. Picnic tables are also available. Additionally, there are several stands displaying paintings by artists.
Anna K — Google review
Beautiful place, nicely manicured gardens, fantastic event space. If there's ever any events going on, I highly recommend a visit. It's so nice to see the city taking good care of this fantastic outdoor meeting space. Popular spot also for biking and jogging.

Canada day review 1-7-2022 It was a great day to gather with family and friends and enjoy all the activities and entertainment related to Canada day celebration. Kids had good spots to play such as bouncy castle, trampoline and face painting with some nice magic tricks show. I hope next year they increase the activities as it was only one bouncy castle for thousands of kids. Food stalls were “overpriced” maybe due to the crowd and celebration, and you had stand in a long line to make an order, food quality wasn’t good compared to what we had to pay. Live entertainment band was amazing all the folks enjoyed it and was second to none. Fireworks was really great and it deserves to wait till 10pm to watch it. Overall experience we enjoyed spending the day there, and highly recommend to celebrate Next Canada day at Riverfront, if it will be held there.
Bishoy M — Google review
Great place to spend evening for long walks. Big place to explore the events. Music festival during summers, food and drink stalls. Good experience..

The kids love this place! They have lots of options to jump, play b-ball, ball pit and have a smaller area for littles. They have fast food options and lots of tables for parents to sit. Buy tickets in advance and you'll have to buy jump socks when you arrive, they aren't super overpriced though. Bring water with you so you dont have to buy it there.

Sky Zone in Moncton is an excellent facility for families and children. The environment is clean, well-maintained, and most importantly, safety measures are clearly prioritized for all visitors. The variety of activities offered provides entertainment for a wide range of ages, making it a suitable choice for both casual visits and active play. Parking is available and generally acceptable, adding to the overall convenience. Overall, it is a highly recommended destination for recreation and celebrations.
Nort — Google review
We got there early, and we're able to jump when our party was there. (It was first thing in the morning). Some of the little ones I had with me for a party fell and needed a bandage, they helped and were so quick and pleasant to deal with. The area was clean, there was music but not too loud. They were very helpful moving our cart from the entrance to our table. It moved smoothly like a well oiled machine.
Kisha H — Google review
My child loves going here. There are many safety guards so you can rest assured. Only Sky Zone exclusive socks are allowed. The food is also delicious. The entrance fee and additional facilities are not cheap, but if your child is not too young, you will likely be able to have fun. I recommend this place. Thank you!

Massive indoor playground / arcade / obstacle course / basketball/ dodgeball / trampoline spaces, 10/10 would recommend for all ages and moderate activity level. Kids will sleep well at the end of your visit hahaha
Gerad N — Google review
The kids had an amazing time and so did this big kid. So much to do. We will be coming back for sure. I love the fact that the little can go on the bigger trampolines and have fun with the bigger kids. The service was amazing and we will definitely be coming back for round two. I reccomend the no limit pass.

Amazing first experience came up from Cape Breton. My daughter said it was one of the best times she's ever had. We pre paid online, which was quick and efficient service! The woman at the desk was really helpful as well!

We went for my daughters birthday who also happens to have mild cerebral palsy. She wanted to try the rock climbing, we were hesitant as we could not go in with her. I spoke to one of the worker to let her know she has difficulty with her balance due to her disability. During her time in the rock climbing the two ladies in there were amazing. They seen she needed a extra hand and helped her all well letting her maintain her independence. We appreciated the extra effort they put in to making her experience great.
