Nestled along the picturesque Riverside Drive, The Casements stands as a testament to history and culture, once serving as the winter retreat for the renowned philanthropist John D. Rockefeller. This charming cultural center is celebrated for its exquisite hand-carved windows and is proudly listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Visitors can explore the Rockefeller Period Room, which showcases memorabilia from both Boy Scouts of America and Hungarian festivals, offering a glimpse into diverse historical narratives.
I was surprised to see the number of ongoing classes & events held here as well as a lovely art gallery that has rotating exhibits. You can use an app to tour the house but I highly recommend touring with one of the docents. I did a Saturday tour with Jade and it was terrific -- she was very knowledgeable, had many stories to tell, and was always open to questions. A great look at another time period in Ormand Beach.

A visit to Ormond Beach just would not be right without a visit to the Casements. Our group of four were in the area and we convinced them it is a must see. My wife and I had been there about ten years earlier and really enjoyed it. So on a beautiful early November day we made a visit. Still very impressive with the times opulence, it was a refreshing view of history in the areas. Rooms, offices, kitchen, library, etc. One remodeled large room had pictures from the early days of racing on the beach. Paintings, sculptures, desks, an elegant coffee server. It was all very fascinating to see. Also pictures of a disastrous fire that occurred there, and has been fully restored. The tour takes about 30-35 minutes, depending on how many questions you might have. The docent was very well versed on all the aspects of the home and the history. Hard to imagine being the richest man in America and being able to live in this fine house in the Winter. After the tour, I made a donation to the Historical Society thar do the excellent tours. And my wife made a separate donation by purchasing a necklace from the gift shop.

A very pleasant & knowlegeable team welcomed us in just an hour before closing and helped us make the most of our short visit to this JD Rockefeller mansion preserved by the City of Ormand Beach.
David F — Google review
Very nice tour guide named Paula took us through all the rich history of the city of Ormond Beach, the Rockefeller family, the Flagler story and Vanderbilt family. This was Rockefeller’s summer home in his prime. Definitely worth the visit. The walk through was about an hour long.
Deeanna R — Google review
TheFEEL, standing in the wings readying to perform at the Casements. What a gorgeous room to be in, so many different settings emerge under one roof. Magical friendliness fills the air. A great place to be.
Jeff L — Google review
Lydia was an amazing tour guide. The Rockefeller and Flagler history was amazing. The location on the river has great views. Free parking in the lot next door. Street parking is also available. The decor of the home was amazing. You can only see half of the second floor and the third floor if you are on the tour. The tour is free but a donation is customary. The house is owned by the city.

Visitors can enjoy the best of both worlds with park facilities alongside the beach. The well-maintained park features gazebos, barbecue grills, picnic areas, and playgrounds.
Great quiet spot to enjoy the beach and the lovely weather. There's tons of seats with shade so even on hot days you'll be fine. Very clean and well kept. A great spot to relax. Also if you have kids there's a splash pool and playground for them to enjoy.

Great family friendly park with a very cool water feature for small kids to cool off. Theres a concession stand that serves great wings and pizza. No need to drag cooler. Direct access to the beach if interested. There always seems to be a great vibe here with lots of people enjoying themselves.

Truly an amazing facility! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ From the moment you enter the parking lot, you'll realize just how much goes into maintaining this property. A very sincere "Thank You" to the city and residents of Ormond Beach for providing such a clean and accommodating beachfront park and beach access without having to pay for parking. FREE Parking: a generous amount of parking spaces with all the Handicap parking spots up front Clean Restrooms: Men, Women, and Family For the Kids: Playground and Splash Pad Property Amenities: - Multiple covered picnic tables - Charcoal grills - Multiple Outdoor Showers - Waste receptacles (trash cans) - Benches and seating areas to enjoy a beautiful sunrise and/or bird watching Do yourself a favor and drive a few miles away from all the chaos in Daytona Beach! Come here to relax and enjoy the experience and all the amenities that Andy Romano Beachfront Park has to offer. Take the $20 you'd have spent parking in one of the county lots and donate it to the city of Ormond Beach so they can keep this amazing facility in pristine condition!

First time visit. Nice park. Dogs loved it. Only.about half mile long, better than nothing though. Recently passed acceptance of dogs on beach here. Vilano beach (just above St Augustine) still our favorite. I didn't like that Beach Patrol drove right past 2 vehiclel parked past designated area. Beyond the posts. Good thing the sea turtles iare not nesting in this area.
Serena C — Google review
I go to this park to watch the Full Moon rise every month with the rest of the community and walk the beach early mornings. It's a great Park to visit. One of my favorites.
Yvonne M — Google review
Easy to find parking here. It is a fun and beautiful beach. You will not be disappointed. The splash zone area is a blast.
Affan G — Google review
This is just a nice Beachside park with a splash pad and ample picnic areas. Only downsides are limited parking and the ramp got washed away so you have to take the stairs so it's tough with a wagon but we love coming here either way
Ryan D — Google review
This is a lovely Beachfront Park with ample parking and facilities for Ormond Beach residents and visitors. There is a splash pad, play area, picnic tables a snack bar and rest rooms. There is some construction going on as of 9/2025 that has reduced the availability of parking spaces but there still are plenty.

Garden
Non-profit organization
Ormond Memorial Art Museum & Gardens is a serene and inspiring destination in Ormond Beach, offering a blend of art and nature. The museum showcases works by local and national artists, while the landscaped memorial garden pays tribute to World War veterans. Open daily, the garden provides a peaceful retreat for visitors from dawn till dusk. Admission to the indoor art museum is free, with donations supporting the maintenance of the grounds and the mission of providing a welcoming venue for local artists.
Many sculptures inside and out, very walkable trails w/stairs, bridges and plenty of benches. Not very large and that may not be a bad thing. Take your time through the trails and you will find there is a lot of up and down that may tire you on a hot day. Enjoyable stops throughout, may have an overpopulation of turtles. Still, was cute to see the tiny ones swimming around. Entry is free, they run on donations and what they do sell in their gift shop is reasonably priced. Definitely add to your list and check out for yourself for a quick or reflective visit!
Daniel R — Google review
Visited the Ormond Memorial Art Museum & Gardens today and I’m absolutely enchanted! The gardens are a magical oasis, with adorable turtles, singing bamboo, and a serene vibe that feels like a cool escape even in 30°C /88 F heat. The tropical plants, waterfall, and butterfly areas are pure delight. The Free Little Art Gallery was such a charming touch! The museum itself is a gem, showcasing beautiful artwork and a warm community spirit. Highly recommend this hidden treasure for anyone seeking art, nature, and tranquility. Will definitely return!
Victoria V — Google review
Loved this museum and gardens so much..not big comparing some of the other gardens we been to but really amazing to see the beauty of the gardens and the paintings in the museum..lot of parking available, well maintained, clean bathrooms, great collection of plants and trees, lovely turtle pond, awesome waterfall, and no admission fees. We would love to visit again in the future.

Beautiful museum inside and out.I Ioved the local featured artist exhibits. There's a gift shop inside, museum is free but donations are accepted. Free parking available also. I went during high peak of the sun but walking around outside wasn't too bad with all the shade and trees. There's a beautiful waterfall here and even saw some turtles enjoying the sun.
Ashley S — Google review
Small museum which showcases one artist. The gardens are lovely and have water pumped through ravines, there are man-made Hills and stair. Some beautiful trees and many flowers. It is a great place for a wedding.
Cheryl B — Google review
The little botanical garden area outside was beautiful! The FEW paintings I did get to see where gorgeous! However there was only 1 room with maybe up to 10 paintings in open and that was it. This was not something I saw on their website. Had i known a huge part of the museum was closed because of the exhibit change in might have not gone until it was reopen.

Thank you so much for having an amazing venue for my wedding. It was everything I could have hoped for. The reception on the rooftop was beautiful. Lauren was so very helpful during the lead up to the wedding. Helped with recommendations for other vendors we needed.

Located in Daytona Beach, Florida, Angell & Phelps Chocolate Factory is a delightful destination for chocolate lovers. Established in 1925 and using original recipes, the factory offers free guided tours where visitors can witness the chocolate-making process and indulge in complimentary samples. The company's unique chocolate products come in various shapes such as alligators, conch shells, dolphins, and sand dollars. A visit to this charming factory promises a sweet experience for both children and adults alike.
Out visiting the area of Daytona Beach, our group of four spotted an ad in area guide for Angel & Phelps Chocolate Factory tours, so we decided to check it out. What a wonderful place. The smells permeate the area with fond memories of past birthdays and holidays. We were greeted and given a brief tour and allowed to observe the different sides of chocolate making, different products. There were postings of the history of the factory and notes about chocolate making. So interesting but drooling was bad. Staff was very hospitable and welcoming and answered any questions we had. After the tour, we got to sample a couple pieces of chocolate. Yum! And then to look around for some to take with us back to resort. Sooo many choices and such a phenomenal variety of items. I had my eye on a White Chocolate Gator, but my wife steered me to smaller choices. A great way to spend 45 minutes between sites and get a great treat, Only problem is - I gained a pound just from the smells! ;-)
L S — Google review
A very nice chocolate store located very centrally to the Jackie Robinson Ballpark and other shops. It's about 10 minutes from the Daytona Speedway and just before the bridge to the island. The ladies were so kind, patient and friendly. They have plenty of options available and they make their chocolate fresh daily! You can even watch the chocolate being made. Also the company has a Christian background which I absolutely love! Be sure to give them a visit and don't hesitate to ask for a sample or two!
Jay B — Google review
We saw this Chocolate Factory online and decided to stop in before going back to our hotel. We were greeted by a warm and welcoming “hello” and she explained how the self guided tour worked and invited us to ask any her any questions we may have at the end. Such a cute and fun way to spend an afternoon! We purchased the thin mints, milk chocolate peanut butter cup, assorted saltwater taffy, and a “Large Sand Bag” which I have pictured and is a great gift. Everything is/was delicious and we will definitely be back when we are in the area next time.
Shirra G — Google review
This chocolate shop is a hidden gem, perfectly located just across from Riverfront Park and within easy walking distance. The moment you step inside, the smell of chocolate fills the air and immediately makes you hungry. They offer a wonderful variety of chocolates—milk, dark, white, and even sugar‑free options—so there’s truly something for everyone. If you’re in the area, this is the perfect spot to satisfy your chocolate cravings!
M B — Google review
Wow!!! The staff made our experience even better. They can answer all your chocolate questions. This is not a candy store, it is all chocolate. And the chocolate tastes better than other places. They even had the Dubai chocolate that my kids were searching for.
Sandy C — Google review
Monica and Shane were amazing. I visited this location 3 times during my visit to Daytona. Monica made me feel welcome and was very helpful and Shane made my treat with love. Hands down amazing place for a sweet treat. Worth every penny.

Went today 9/20/2025 to this beautiful family run chocolate place the number one award winning chocolate shop. On vacation from Scotland this is a must. Highly recommend, chocolate rum truffles were delicious and awesome. Plus the milk chocolate cherry's were delicious 😋. American people so friendly and go out there way to give wonderful customer service. Such a pleasure and grateful we had the chance to visit this beautiful town. Gorgeous gifts sets of chocolates to choose were such a variety to choose you want be disappointed.😘

Excellent chocolate - like, truly some of the best dark chocolate I've ever eaten! There's a little self guided "tour" that allows you to see the the kitchens or work/prep rooms, so that was really neat. Didn't manage to get pics of the chocolates we bought, though...

It offers access to rivers and streams and is located near other attractions like Addison Blockhouse State Park and Bulow Plantation Ruins Historic State Park. The park is nestled along the Ormond Scenic Loop and Trail, providing a scenic drive with native wildlife and unique vegetation.
A beautiful, truly Florida experience! Our camping site was shaded and close to several very clean comfort stations. The camp store was well stocked, and the gentleman running it was friendly and knowledgeable about the surrounding area. There were several riverfront beaches to explore!
Amanda S — Google review
A nice park for a walk, plenty of bird life to see. Got there late morning and still wasn't to busy. It was good to have the store in the park and able to get water in the heat of the day. Hopefully be back next year to see the bits I missed.
William R — Google review
We camped here for our anniversary and had the best time! Loved having such friendly and accommodating people on staff. The first day we were there, we had a water issue in the site and they were able to move us to another spot. Camping spots are spacious and have all accommodations. The showers/bath houses were very clean! We also decided to kayak on the river & loved our experience. Very knowledgeable and friendly staff at the Outpost. Love this park, to stay or to visit, it's a gem! Lots of wildlife to be seen here.
Alex C — Google review
This is a very nice park. There are resting areas and rest rooms. They have a little store that you can buy snacks and different things. They have boat rentals for the river also and places to camp if you want to.

Great campsite for smaller trailers and tents. The rangers were wonderful and so informative. Nice short trails with ample shade. Fantastic spot for kayaking but pay attention to the tides and winds!

This vibrant park boasts a state-of-the-art 3,500-square-foot splash pad that features an impressive array of 42 water jets shooting refreshing streams up to six feet high. The colorful play surface offers stunning views of the Atlantic Ocean, making it an ideal spot for kids to cool off and have fun.
A little iffy but it’s right by the lifeguard security building. Access to beach right there from playground but couldn’t find shower to rinse feet or body after going to the beach $20 to park all day even if your just there an hour
Kathy L — Google review
Under construction at the moment but normally a 5 star spot to park and visit the beach. There are free showers and bathrooms and parking available to the public. The best part is this location is right next to the Volusia County Sheriff and Lifeguard hub!
Rob C — Google review
Let's just say this was a wild and untamed area. It may have been the time I visited (Saturday afternoon) but the place had trash overflowing and blowing across the beach. Parking was a nightmare and the audience was less than friendly, courteous or respectful. The beach itself is quite thin with having driving lanes and the hotel/Park walls backing up to the beach and also. During high tide there is very little space. Best to find a different beach if youTr looking for a little space and tranquility.
Brandon F — Google review
My favorite place to see sunrise. The parking is paid. There are lots of folks early morning who come for a stroll, or photography or just gaze at the rising sun with a smile. The restrooms sometimes are closed until 7:30 am or so.
Neha T — Google review
We came to visit the beach and due to high tide coming in, the park was a great place to sit, play, and eat until beach space became available. The park was clean and the outdoor shower and the restroom were appreciated. The only thing I recommend is for an outdoor shower at both ends and clearly marked recycle bins.
Bryon C — Google review
While hurricane Melissa was passing parrel to Florida! The waves were amazing!
Ke P — Google review
Bloody Awesome experience. We visited quite a few different locations this year for vacation. Free parking and lots to do. Shirt and ice cream stores side by side were perfection in the heat. Even saw a guy with a shark he had caught before he put him back.
Sharkey D — Google review
Beware, this is such a trap!!! They collect $20 for parking and it used to be free. The signage is not that visible and you would not know that rules have changed this year if you been going to Daytona for years!!! Such a ripoff, considering you would not stay at the beach for the entire day. The beach itself is in the worst state it has ever been. The sand is dirty. Sorry, after 15 + years of visiting I’d suggest going somewhere else. This used to be very nice place. I am not sure what happened.

This place hosts a lot of events just across the bridge on Granada in Ormond Beach. Even when it’s not hosting events… it’s such a beautiful place to take a nice relaxing walk by the water and under the bridge. Most of the photos I will show are of events and if you’re considering having one, this place is perfect! The Celtic Festival was amazing in April as you will see in my photos.

Nice little park by the river. We don’t go here often, but greatly enjoyed the 4th of July fireworks. Bring a little bug spray if you plan to hang out on the lawn for a long time.

My family and I found this beautiful park by accident. We were driving around looking for places to visit. Its mission is to exhibit, collect, preserve, and interpret photography while facilitating teaching and learning at the college. Had the luck to visit at a time there were two exhibits to enjoy. There was a mix of amazing student work and professional high end portraiture. With the free admission and friendly staff, I highly recommend a visit!
Kristina W — Google review
While this was really cool to visit, I would not call this a museum of photography, but rather just a photography gallery. I was under the impression before visiting that there were a lot of different types of photos to see, based on the word "museum". However, there was only photos from one photographer, who only did portraits. We did not have to pay to see the gallery, though. The photographer was great, and it was amazing to see how many different famous comedians they had photographed. Some of their work included Bo Burnham, Rowan Atkinson, and Noel Felding. They also photographed props from Charlie Chaplin and Robin Williams. I particularly enjoyed reading about the photographer's remarks about some of the comedians. Overall, while misleading, this museum of photography was fantastic. I love photography, so it was amazing to see this exhibit. In the future, I hope to come back to see what new gallery is being showcased.
Kendra H — Google review
This was a wonderful place to visit. I enjoyed viewing the exhibits of the students who graduated. This can best be described as a gallery not museum. It's an awesome look into the creative and artistic process of photographers. Every time I go to Daytona I will have this on my list of things to do and see.

What a wonderful building, gallery, and event space. The photographic history in their collection is amazing. Such a lovely venue with a theater, central courtyard, gift shop, and wonderful galleries. Easy to find and plenty of parking.

Daytona Beach Main Street Pier is a historic 1,000-foot wooden pier that has been a bustling hub of activity since 1925. Despite enduring multiple hurricanes and tropical storms, the pier received a $1.56 million makeover in 2023 to ensure its longevity for years to come. At the end of Main Street, visitors can explore the lively Daytona Beach Boardwalk & Pier, lined with restaurants, bars, an arcade, bait shop, and souvenir shops.
There’s different restaurants, stores and it’s a great place to go with family, friends or solo I went on a day they had like Rock festival and at night around 9:45 they did fireworks it was beautiful

We just stopped here. Very early in the morning, when no one else was there. The beach was nice e and clean. We were able to take a stroll listening to the waves of the ocean, with basically no one else on the beach. It was too cold to get in the water. Wish we had more time here so I can offer a more thorough review of what is claimed to be the “most famous beach” .

First time here at daytona always wanted to go and I love it the streets are alot cleaner and more home down peps here there is a lot of construction for some reason idky but Sicily pizza down the road by the pier is amazing

It cost $30.00 to park...if you can walk do it . We were literally only parking to see the pier and see what there was to do . Dated dirty arcade shops that sell the same as the other 5 other shops.pier was closed . Looks like it was under construction as well hopefully it gets better .
Nicole C — Google review
Okay, so when I visited it let’s talk about the fact that they were doing constructions on the pier, where you get to go up to the pier and down to the beach. Well I had to walk 5 minutes just to get back on the beach. It has a lovely view of the ocean and beach too.

Additionally, there's a 34-mile byway leading to the north of Ormond Beach with oceanfront views and unspoiled native vegetation.
Beautiful and peaceful drive with amazing views of nature. Perfect for a relaxing ride or walk! 🌿

We drove the Ormond Scenic Loop Trail just to take in the sights, but honestly, it wasn’t much different from the rest of the Florida scenery. Considering we went out of our way to see it, it felt a bit underwhelming. That said, if you're looking for a peaceful spot to bike, jog, or get outdoors away from the city, this would be a nice option. Probably better experienced on foot or by bike rather than just driving through.

Beautiful park. Sometimes you can catch a view of the dolphins in the water. Love that it has camping, boating and kayaking available for visitors. It’s $4 to get into the park itself. It’s called Tamoca

Daytona Lagoon is a family-friendly water park and entertainment center located just north of the pier area and steps from the beach. It offers a variety of attractions, including go-karts, mini-golf, an arcade, laser tag, and a climbing wall. The Speedway Indoor Karting features state-of-the-art electric-powered karts on a 16-turn road course with multiple elevation changes. In 2019, Daytona Lagoon completed $1.
I had a wonderful time at Daytona Lagoon, which offers something for all ages. My daughter particularly enjoyed the lazy river and the kids' area. I felt completely safe knowing that the lifeguards were keeping a close eye on all the children. The amusement park has done an excellent job training them. We hardly had to wait long for the water park rides. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and I can't wait to plan a trip to go back.
Britany T — Google review
Daytona Lagoon was a highlight of our trip to Daytona! My son raced down the thrill slides while my daughter floated along the lazy river—there truly was something for each of them. I liked that when it got too hot, we could step inside to play arcade games and cool off. Between the water slides, wave pool, and indoor fun, we easily spent the whole afternoon here.
Paula B — Google review
Fun day for ask. Lots of stuff to do. The pools, slides, lazy river, kids park, go carts are all a bunch of fun. I little bit slow on the slides but not terrible. Food was so so. Ran out of chicken fingers. At 1pm? Really? Drinks are expensive. Everything cost. Shady places cost extra. Get ready to spend some money. Other than that, the place is great for everyone. We will return.
Eddie R — Google review
I'm so mad we drive to Disney for a days and this was DOWN THE STREET from us. And guess what, it was better than Disney. We had a blast and the food was good. We will definitely go back the next vacation

Very fun and worth the money for an annual pass. Long lines today. All day meal plan is worth it. The website says that gift cards are available and you get a five-dollar bonus for purchasing 30. It says 404 the website is not working.
Matthew T — Google review
The slides were fun, but some of them were slow. There is one however, that go bullet speed it’s pitch black and you get shot out, I saw multiple people needing assistance from the lifeguard after the slide. Also the food made me painfully parched. You can avoid the waiting if you get there early. Over all I enjoyed myself.
Liv B — Google review
We went here for my son’s 13th Bday with several of his friends to use the twilight pass. It’s an all inclusive dry pass to use until close after 6pm. We didn’t know the laser tag was shut down due to their being a haunted house. (Which is better anyways at their age) Usually the Haunted house would have been $10 per person which for us would’ve been over $100 for one walk thru! But the manager Bianca was so professional and accommodating to us! Understanding how large our group was she was like our own personal concierge making sure we all had the best experience! And she was the only person I’ve ever seen in all my yrs go-karting actually check for safety well each time. Also, a worker named Nyasia was helping the kids on the rock wall and she was so sweet! She helped all of the kids and allowed them to play until the last minute of closing time! So thank you ladies for a great night!
France I — Google review
Daytona Lagoon is a great spot for affordable family fun! The ticket prices are very reasonable, especially considering everything you get access to. There's a good mix of attractions for both kids and adults, and it's easy to see why the place stays busy during the season. That said, some of the water slides are definitely showing their age. There’s visible rust in a few areas that, while probably harmless and not a safety issue, still makes you a little uneasy when you’re climbing the stairs or about to ride. It’s not a dealbreaker, but it’s surprising to see considering how many visitors the park must bring in yearly thanks to its value pricing. All in all, it's a fun day out and feels safe, but a little reinvestment into slide maintenance or aesthetics would go a long way toward making the park feel as great as it could be, or possibly was, once upon a time.

The park features sports courts for baseball, basketball, soccer/football, tennis, and racquetball. Visitors can also explore nature trails and a 4-acre dog park. Additionally, the park provides amenities such as canoeing, kayaking, fishing docks, shuffleboard courts, and picnic areas.
This dog park is the absolute best in the area! The small and big dog areas are huge, so all the puppies can run and play freely. The park is really well-maintained. It’s a great place for both dogs and their owners!

Great little family fun park with basketball courts, handball court, tennis courts, including a large open field for the kiddos to just run. Includes a nature trail and if you go all the way to the end of trail and cross the street you'll end up at a lovely fishing pier and catch a BEAUTIFUL sunset (if u go in the evening, of course) I've included pics of pier but I forgot to get pics of park itself but very nice.

I don’t give out 5 stars often but this park has quite a bit of fun for almost everyone at any age. There is ample parking for the beach even on the weekends with a beautiful street here of beach without condos or buildings. If you head back into the park there is an excellent playground for the small kids that is completely covered and in the shade. Tennis courts, basketball courts baseball diamond, and a dog park are all in sight of the parking lot. There are trails that go back to the river. Just watch your step because there are plenty of holes from burrowing animals scattered all over the fields.

TLDR- a beach without the ocean for dogs. Large and small dog park on A1A. Clean. Mostly sand with thickets of natural foliage. A small covered pavillion with benches, and access to a fresh water spigot. Grass very scarce. Plenty of tennis balls.

I loved this park! I stumbled upon it by accident I was driving around just to drive. My 1st stop was on the other side of the bridge at the other park. I visited this park on my 2nd day in the area. There is plenty of benches to sit and take a break and enjoy the bliss of your surroundings. It's a very clean well kept park. No matter where you sit there is something to take in the view. I enjoyed sitting in front of a metal sculpture with water trickling from it. My experience was peaceful!

The most beautiful park especially to watch the sunset. My son’s first birthday was here. We have date nights and get Hershey’s ice cream and watch the sunset here. It’s a great spot to fish, workout or just enjoy the view.

I can’t really find anything to say bad about this park except that I wish it was closer to my house. The playground had lots for the kids of all ages and it was all along a beautiful shoreline. The fields were very well maintained as was the entire park. There is some history to see here as well as a great place to go for a relaxing walk and one of the best fitness areas that I have seen at a park anywhere around here.

I love the walking loop. It is a peaceful route that spans from the east to the west side of the Granada bridge. There are plenty of benches along the way for a break if desired. The Al Weeks Sr. North Shore Park is a remarkable beach destination nearby, easily accessible from Tavares. As you make your way along the A1A, passing various stores, there are also gas stations where you can purchase ice. The sand boasts an appealing orange hue and requires minimal walking to reach the shoreline. However, it's important to keep a watchful eye on your children since the bay has considerable depth. The water temperature is remarkably pleasant, inviting visitors for a refreshing swim.
What an awesome spot to enjoy the beach, amazing views of sunrise and simply soak in the coastal environment. Unfortunately payment for parking will start January, 2025. IMO it will still be worth the stop as this part of the beach has its own uniqueness.
Joel R — Google review
Parking is $20 but less than 1/2 mile north on the beach side is a place to park without free beach access. The new wooden ramps are very nice and the lifeguard station is close by. Beautiful beach spot!
Charlene R — Google review
A wonderful park that has benches at the top for those who cannot walk down to the beach. The bathrooms are relatively new and clean, and the presence of the lifeguard tower makes this place feel safe and secure. This park is named after a wonderful man who served the North Peninsula for years. What an honor to go to the park and be reminded of Al and his many positive contributions to the local community, as a realtor, citizen, and resident!
Fran T — Google review
Best beach ever in the area, nice driving from Tavares, you pass several stores prior to get to the A1A and don’t worry there is some gas stations too buy ice. Sand is orange, don’t need to walk much to the beach. Keep an eye in your kids because the bay is deep. Water temperature just amazing. Easy to park. Shower and bathrooms available and baywatch available.
Priscila S — Google review
A true gem of a park located directly on the beach. Clean restrooms and outdoor showers to clean up after a swim. Swim here safely in front of the big fancy lifeguard station. Back in the day this site was home to the old Ormond Pier that was destroyed during a hurricane.
Mikecolesvids — Google review
Great little park directly on the beach. Swim safely in front of the giant lifeguard tower and clean up afterwards with the showers and restrooms. Parking is free but limited, however there are a lot of other free parking lots located nearby too. The sand is soft and coarse here.

Best of all free parking with lifeguard stand nice view of the ocean and your vehicle with bathrooms. Get there early not a lot of spots depending on the time of the year.

When you're in Daytona Beach and the heat starts to weigh you down, a visit to the World's Most Famous Brewery is just what you need. With board games, a giant Jenga set, and live music filling the air, it’s easy to lose track of time while enjoying your favorite drink.

Great place with local brews, large selection of beers, great service, plenty of seats and awesome prices. Definitely a place to stop and enjoy some drinks. They also brew their own. Try their ale!
Will J — Google review
This place had somehow been under our radar until now, even though it’s been open for about five years. We stopped in on a Sunday, and while it was quiet, the staff was incredibly friendly and generous with samples. They clearly take pride in their beer and love sharing it. They have around 200 beers total, with 12 on tap, and you can easily tell which ones are house-brewed by checking the chalkboard colors: blue means brewed in-house. What’s also interesting is that many of their beers are gluten-free, something you don’t often see in a brewery with this much variety. We sampled several and landed on the Kitchen Sink Double IPA (9.1%). Despite the high ABV, it was surprisingly light-bodied, with notes of citrus zest, subtle tropical fruit, and a clean, dry finish. It wasn’t overly bitter or sweet but just balanced, smooth, and dangerously drinkable. A great beer. The staff mentioned they have special pricing on Fridays, which gives us a good reason to come back. The taproom itself has a laid-back, beachy vibe, a mix of locals and visitors, and plenty of seating. You can tell the people behind it love what they do and the community they’re building. A great stop if you’re in the area, especially if you love trying creative small-batch beers. Away from the craziness at the other end of Main St. Highly recommend.

Been coming for a couple of months while I’ve been living here. I when in the morning time to bring my family and friends because I thought it was nice. The first female server was amazing and very kind. We came back that night because it was so nice, but a male worker on the outside (whom was drinking and talking with friends on the outside was extremely rude). We took a seat at an empty DIRTY table outside to order a Uber home, as well as discuss what to drink at the end of the night. Instead of walking up to us to ask to not sit and buy something, he proceeded to yell “hey, you can stand up and order a Uber”. The tone was condescending, and it felt as though we were all being shouted at. This continued for a moment or two, with the gentleman repeatedly demanding we get up and “keep moving”. With the treatment we received, we felt it was best to just walk away. This ruined the bar for my home town. I will not bring my friends or family again.
Hamby — Google review
Great Beers. I believe they had 85 different beers including 12 on tap. Some brewed in house. We ordered the doppelbach (lots of flavor, great beer). Pumpkin ale (one of the best I have had, smooth, not so spicy), Amber (caramel and creamy, very good). Coconut cream IPA (so good, great flavor, not over the top). Would order any of these beers again. The beer tender Tucker was awesome! Great to talk to, knowledgeable about the different beers. Thoroughly enjoyed our visit to this brewery. I rarely give 5 stars but the beer and Tucker are worthy. Will definitely return, we highly recommend.

It's one of my favorite places. It is one of the cleanest beaches in Florida. It is nice, clean, and safe. However, I do not recommend going on the weekend because it's hard to find parking and too crowded.

We only had about 30 minutes, so we took time to dip our feet in the warm ocean water. Right across the boardwalk is a water features and shower to rinse off and cool off as well. The humidity was brutal, but the view was spectacular.

Would not recommend this area. Small beach area that was dirty and hadn’t been cleaned of seaweed in what appears to be awhile. There was a fair amount of vagrants lingering and sleeping in the park. Food shower was flooded and inoperable. If you want to relax, head north a bit to find a better beach spot. Felt I had to be on guard here.

This is a nice area to visit in Daytona. However, be aware that due to storms, a lot is under repair. They have the sling shot and another spinning ride, fountain (was down for repair), places for shopping and to eat. The pier was great to walk out on and interact with those who were fishing to see what they were catching. The views are just amazing. Will come back to see this area again one day.

If you're looking for a delightful spot to take the kids, look no further than Magic Forest Playground, also known as Rainbow Park. The park is not just about play; it features a fitness trail, basketball court, and even a skateboard park for all ages to enjoy. The playground itself is adorned with vibrant artwork created by local children, enhancing its magical atmosphere.
The name of this playground fits perfectly. It truly is magical! There is so much to do from the tire swing to the seesaw and the many slides and swings as well. Plenty of climbing, rope bridges and poles too. It's especially nice because the multiple trees provide much needed shade for easier play. There is a toddler area as well as a shaded picnic area and many benches to sit on. We loved our time here and my kids can't wait to come back!

Loads of fun for children and parent alike. Do not miss this hidden gym! We always visit this playground paradise every time we visit this area and today is no different. They have recently made a lot of changes and repairs since the hurricane of 2024 damaged some of the trees and it’s structure. Excellent work! The consistent shade cannot be replaced as some of the oak limbs were removed, but we are so glad to have access again and to create even more memories.

Imagine the dream tree fort that you always wanted your parents to build for you as a kid and multiply it may times over and you will begin to imagine this park. Everywhere you look there are new surprises. Knights and magicians, pirates and sea monsters, rocket ships, school buses and fire trucks are just a few of the themes here. Somehow through creativity and brilliant planning, they have managed to build the entire playground among old oak trees that provide shade that covers every part of the park. As I walked through with my daughter, I could not find any areas that required maintenance. There are also plenty of benches and picnic areas within the playground for parents to relax as the kids play.

Tom Renick Park is an oceanfront recreational area that offers free parking, picnic shelters, and kids' play equipment. The park features plenty of showers and clean bathrooms for visitors to use after a day at the beach. However, some improvements could be made such as adding shelves or hooks in the bathrooms and providing cover-ups for the picnic tables. Additionally, visitors should be mindful of sand crab holes in the park.
It's a pretty cool place. Holds about 5000 people. I'd say the sound is very good. It's a little older and the food and alcohol is expensive, but that's pretty much any arena. These days. Seen UB40 Fantastic.

March first, it was 73°. The water was cold. It took me ten minutes to get all the way in. I swam around for about 15 minutes. I liked it. There was a food truck there from 11:00 to 5:00. Wasn't crowded.

Nice small park that is difficult to find parking on the weekend. Includes small play area for the kids. Nice to find a park squeezing between all the condos. Everything seemed well maintained and a great view with plenty of natural plants to enhance the view.

This is where we always go to the beach at. They took the ramp down which makes it much more difficult to carry things down to the beach but there are plenty of bathrooms, a playground, picnic tables, showers. Parking is limited, once the lot is full there is overflow across A1A. If you forget something, you can walk across to Dollar General- they have a decent beach shop area in the store.

Central Park in Ormond Beach is a 149-acre complex consisting of four separate parks. It features a lake, a fishing pier, and a boat ramp for those interested in aquatic activities. The park also provides picnic pavilions and bike trails for leisurely gatherings and outdoor adventures. Despite some trails leading to roads, the overall accessibility of the park is commendable. It offers serene trails, picturesque lakes, and abundant opportunities to observe water birds in their natural habitats.
This was such a cute little walk. There was great docks to be able to walk out on the water. There was great views of a bunch of turtles ranging in all size. The park seemed well maintained and safe. The views all around were wonderful to see.

Only giving four stars because it seems like most trails lead to roads and force you to cross. Not the BEST place around to take small children, but still entirely accessible. The lakes are beautiful, the trails are serene, and its one of the best places to watch water birds in action.

I just moved to the area and was in need of a decent walk. This place provided that and more. I was amazed at the beauty of the park. I took the route around the southern most lake. Water walkways were pristine and offered amazing views of the lake and wildlife. A guy was feeding squirrels by hand along the route...cool! There is exercise equipment along the route too, which I had never seen before. Come to find out in FL this is pretty common, but where I am from this is not seen at all. Great idea! Don't swim...gaters...enough said!! Birds of all kinds were use to humans and friendly. Go here...such a good way to spend a couple of hours! Three is a community garden and playground on premises also. I can't wait to do the rest of the ponds/trails!

Birthplace of Speed Park is a charming beachfront park located in Volusia County, Florida. It sits on a historic motorsports site and features a pavilion, picnic tables, grills, and showers for visitors to enjoy. The park also boasts a small replica garage resembling the Ormond Garage, where informative placards detail the early 20th-century sand races with top cars of that era.
Located on the beach where the first speed tournaments in the US earned Ormond the title "Birthplace of Speed" this lovely park has a replica of the original Ormond Garage which houses replicas of (red) Bullet #1 and Pirate racecars. Stone markers share the garage's history and some of the drivers. A shady picnic area with a grill, a pavilion, a beach viewing platform with an ADA ramp, and stairs leading to the beach invite you to spend the day at this breezy seaside park. Limited parking. 21 Ocean Shore Boulevard Open every day 6 am to 7 pm No entrance fee

North Peninsula State Park offers a 3-mile shoreline with hiking and cycling paths, providing opportunities to observe turtles and birds. The nature walk trail starts from the parking lot off High Bridge Road, featuring bathrooms and picnic tables nearby. Trail markers and informational signs about local flora and fauna are present along the route. However, hikers should be cautious of loose sand, sand spurs, deer tracks, high humidity causing wet shoes, and mosquitoes in some areas.
Part of the oceanside rebuilt after the 2024 hurricane. Much work done between Ormond Beach and Flagler Beach with reclaiming the beach and hillside and with wild grass and palm tree clusters. There are many rebuilt walkways to the beaches some having lengthy handicapped access. Great surf fishing for blue fin, red fin and mullet runs.

If you're a dog owner the trails are excellent for you and your fury friends. They must remain on leash at all times. There is no beach play for dogs here, a little pond inlet but they can't actually go on the real beaches. The trails were a lot more beautiful than expected. Parking is free so it's definitely worth the visit.

Daphne R — Google review
This is a very nice place to visit and experience nature. I exercise regularly and found it really relaxing and enjoyable. North Peninsula State Park is one of a few places where you can walk and enjoy nature with your family, friends, or even kids. There is longer walking trails and trails that you can take shortcuts on to make the distance shorter. I am not aware of any Florida State Parks that you can go and enjoy 😉 the outdoors and see NO PEOPLE! I enter via a trail that begins at the Volusia County line as I walk south from my home 🏡 in Flagler County. I am surrounded by the most amazing and beautiful sights as I stroll 🚶‍♂️ through this place. The trail extends to the power lines where you can turn around and go back for a three mile walk in total. Or you can proceed south to the longest route and end up at High Bridge road just east of the draw bridge. A fantastic place for folks of all ages!
Keith C — Google review
From parking lot at drawbridge there is a very nice, Sandy, level 2.5 out and back trail. There are Sand Spurs so good shoes or sandles a must. You will past a landing and several Vista overlooks of a vast Marsh area. Good birding for coastal species with some finches. There is a restrooms at start of trail. Also across road from entrance is a kayak rental and boat launch.
David G — Google review
I parked in the lot off of High Bridge Road and started the nature walk trail with my dog there. There were bathrooms and picnic table near parking lot. There were trail markers up & signs about plants/animals that are in the area. Once on the trail, it became loose sand & there were sand spurs that got in my dogs feet. I saw deer tracks but no deer. My shoes got soaking wet from humidity in grass. There were also swarms if mosquitoes. We turned back after 2/3 mile. I will go back on a less humid day in winter without the dog. Pretty scenery, good hike.

Still a great park, but definitely showing its age. The fences are always missing spokes. A lot of the wooden structures move to easily. And they just keep adding layers of mulch without ever removing any of the old layers. Seriously it’s so high now that the “hanging” balance beam doesn’t hang anymore and sitting on the benches is only a few inches different than sitting on the ground. They need to close it for a month or so this winter and do a serious maintenance on it.

We went to the playground, it's a nice place. It was super hot out but it stays a little cooler here, so it wasn't that bad. Lots of room to run around and places to hide. There are also clean bathrooms, a skate park, a basketball court, baseball field, and a few other activities. They have a covered pavilion that is nice and shady, good for parties or a little picnic.

This is a GREAT park. It has everything you will need. I come here with my child 2-3 times per week & EVERY SINGLE time I come I smell marihuana & see a sale go on. Cops around this park & they never do anything. I think if they got out of their patrol cars & walked in the park they would make many arrests or chase these losers away. They would have to patrol In regular civilian clothing to catch them. I moved to O.B. to be in a better quality neighborhood.

I first visited this park six years ago after hurricane arm, devastated the area the park was a total disarray, and the boardwalk out to the river was closed. It was a mess, a place I would never have recommended. Took me six years to return to this park, and wow what a transformation. It is really an absolutely gorgeous park. It’s small but it packs a lot great photo opportunity. If you get the chance and you’re in the area stop by you won’t be disappointed. Make sure you take the walk out onto the boardwalk to the gazebo on the river, it’s absolutely amazing and I absolutely have a passion for old churches. The fact that this church was preserved is great for the city, although I would’ve preferred to be left at the graveyard.

. It's a small park. It has a house-like historic building in the middle of it. A plaque mentions something about a Christian wedding held there. Towards the back, it has a long pier. I saw some people fishing from it. The fishing pier was a nice place to photograph and view the water. . . . This little park has beautiful flowers and trees arranged around. Fun little neighborhood park! From The nature trails, the boat launch with the long dock along the river, to the recently updated fenced in play ground area are just a few of the many things that make this park great! I really like the sand boat launch, gradual grade. This makes it easy for a couple of less than athletic seniors launch and retrieve our kayak. Great choices on where 2 paddle, Strickland Creek and Thompson Creek provide more natural scenery. Truth be told, we retreated to the more sheltered residential area, and we're well rewarded. Little Blue Heron, who wasn't shy, I think a spoon bill and a tagged Manatee made 3 passes drawing its buoy marker past us.

Nice, big, open park. Lots of good parking, with several handicap concrete parking pads, and concrete sidewalks leading to block bathroom facilities, and children's play area and jungle gym equipment. Wheelchair, walker, cane friendly to the max. Shady spots for watching the grandchildren. Also, there's unobstructed view for hundreds of yards of open area if slightly older children need more running/playing room. Easy to find and we were able to fish without interruptions. Only like 3 people showed up the whole 3 hours we were there. There is nothing here as far as bathrooms or normal "park things" like a playground. There is a very nice pier though.

Not much here so wouldn’t really dub it a park. The long boardwalk is still closed as of Sept/Oct 2021… still closed in November, as well. There is a fishing pier with a covered area with seating. Small walking trails with benches. Will be better once they repair the boardwalk. It’s a beautiful place to watch a sunset or spot marine life if people aren’t out on the dock/pier. Otherwise it gets crowded on there. Boardwalk repaired.

A great little park with a pier and a small boardwalk. There are a bunch of spots to sit and relax or eat lunch as well. Currently the curvy boardwalk is closed.
Orion M — Google review
Very cool and peaceful spot on the intracoastal with a board walk for river views and fishing.

Nature & Parks
Ames Park, located in Ormond Beach, is a serene riverfront park perfect for families. It features a gazebo, picnic areas, playground, restrooms, and the historic Ames House. The highlight is the 75-foot fishing pier on the picturesque Halifax River where you can spot dolphins. The well-maintained grounds offer walking paths, water features, and beautiful landscaping with blooming lilies and flowers.
Very beautiful gardens along the river. A lot of history from the bygone Era. One of my favorite places

Love Ames Park. Quiet little park on the Halifax River within walking distance of my home. It has flower gardens, ponds, and a great view of the river.

Great local park. Quiet. No play grounds. On the water.

Love this peaceful park, right on the intracoastal. Walk on the pier & look for dolphins in the Halifax River. The park is beautifully maintained & landscaped. There are paths & a wooden bridge, water features & a public restroom. Dog friendly (on lead), free parking & free admission. Be careful parking, there is a separate entrance & exit.

Love the history of this little park. Great water views and the spring water is really cool to see. Also love seeing the different birds and fish.
Greg E — Google review
Really nice park, only thing is it's real Ormond. Check out the pic. For a park being right down the street from the police station, um yeah. Used needles kind of dirty!
Bil I — Google review
A very small park that has winding paths and water throughout. The park is very pretty and there is surprise statues of animals to delight the little ones. When the waterlilies are in bloom, it is magical.

Great little park, stop there often and just walk around ,it has very interesting history,, long time there, can only imagine the work that went into making this into what it is.
