Booderee National Park, located on the southern rim of Jervis Bay, is a coastal paradise offering stunning beaches, botanic gardens, and scenic trails. It's part of the Jervis Bay Territory and provides access to the sea for the Australian Capital Territory. Visitors can explore bush tracks, botanical gardens, and spot incredible wildlife in this lush and remote park.
Beautiful beachs and lots of Kangaroos. We paid for the park entre and visited 3 beaches
Veronica R — Google review
Very good family level camping in the south coast. Good access to beautiful white sandy Hyams beach. Few minutes drive to Huskisson. This is an easy level camping, you can take the family and the kids here, Hell!, even grandma can come. Comes with heated water, good toilet and washing facilities. Safe, fires only on designated spots though. The rangers come and do their rounds from time to time. Not sure if they really check number of cars or if they are registered on booking. Comes with a bit of a price and for good reason. Lots of wildlife in the campgrounds, wallabies, kangaroos, possums and kookaburras. There are plenty of good hikes around as well.
Carlo — Google review
Booderee National Park is absolutely amazing! The beaches are stunning, especially Cave Beach, and we loved spotting so many kangaroos. It’s a perfect place to visit with kids — we had such a great time. A total fun experience for the whole family!
Bala R — Google review
Amazing breathtaking stay here with your tent or your caravan if you can get in. So many places to see and enjoy well worth the visit. Plan ahead arrive early to get the most out of your day.
Andy M — Google review
We were here as tourists from Europe. But I would definitely come here often if I lived in Syd or closed by in Australia. I would recommend to stay here 1-2 night to have relaxed family holiday time. The beach is great, with orange color beside blue and white sand. There are shadows to stay in the shade. There are walking trails in the forest. It’s great to walk under the trees, and looking out to the see. There are many kangaroos and birds, and botanic gardens…
Quynh-Anh N — Google review
Great national park with so so much to offer! We were unfortunate not to have a sunny day - but we still enjoyed an amazing hike on Murrays Circuit, a great picnic at Murrays beach and the outstanding views at Cave Beach. The beaches are fantastic and there’s plenty of great spots to surf, snorkel, walk or just chill and enjoy the wildlife! Make sure to buy your pass in advance - then it’s just an easy drive through!
Diana D — Google review
It was an amazing experience. At the entrance you should pay for a permit that last 2 days. We saw the botanical garden and cave beach within this park. You always can see kangaroos here in the park.
Somayeh ( — Google review
Beautiful national park. Several beaches, picnic areas, walking trails and also a botanic garden. I can get quite busy on summer or holidays. Some of the carparks were full when we visited, but still manage to visit some beautiful places. Park has several restrooms and drinking water taps. I will definitely come back.

Jervis Bay Maritime Museum & Gallery is a serene destination nestled within Booderee National Park. The Munyunga Waraga Dhugan Walking Trail offers a glimpse of the park's beauty, with Governor Head Lookout providing stunning views of Bowen Island and its wildlife. The museum showcases historic vessels like the Lady Denman ferry, along with maritime artifacts, nautical equipment, and artworks.
WOW, absolutely beautiful place. The museum shares a rich history about the place. The ticket was 12.5$ per adult and 10$ concession. The mangrove walk is SO BEAUTIFUL, definitely a MUST VISIT in Jervis bay. So relaxing, and the place has a ramp for kayaking. The walk itself is very short.
Arhaan J — Google review
Great Museum and Market on a Saturday. No being from Nsw or a coastal city, it was great to get some insight into how people moved across Sydney harbour before the bridge. Nice little park outside for younger kids to play and feed the fish.
David H — Google review
Love the old ferry that people helped restore. Its massive and warms my heart that places like these are kept for the public. Amazing instruments that sailors used to use which still amazes me how they made them let alone used them. Great little museum and lovely Ladies. Feed the fish and walk the mangroves.
Megan H — Google review
Unexpected and good. Seeing Lady Denman here was a good surprise. I kinda feel though that they could lean into her story more, and maybe make/sell some Lady Denman fridge magnets. She's a real gem.
Andrew J — Google review
Warmly-welcomed by friendly staffs there. They advised and supported very well. The place is very interesting and astonishing. Many history on many different things. Price is very cheap for museum/gallery
Punnatorn V — Google review
This was a lovely activity to come to, filled with plenty of pure plantation and nature- both exotic and indigenous. They have a section inside the museum dedicated to indigenous art and in depth lore of their craftsmanship and dotted art. One of the many impressive things of the Muesuem was the sizeable showcase of one of the Sister Cruises including documentation of the series, detailing the manual process of operating the system, further detailing the destruction and many accidents related to it. This was a definite muesuem experience out of many, I highly recommend giving this one a visit!
Andreas I — Google review
Upon entry staff was extremely friendly, easy going, and provided ample information about the museum/ surrounding areas. One of ladies that was volunteering, Sal made us feel especially welcomed. She was a gem! Museum was tidy with a wide range of information about the history of boating/ ships around Jervis Bay. The mangrove boardwalk was extremely beautiful. A must see.
Ryan C — Google review
One of the best country museums we've visited around Australia. A balanced depiction of the history of Huski. Plenty of "Truth Telling" regarding the local Aboriginal peoples, the impact of colonisation and how they've turned some of the negative impact around. The mangrove walk is worth exploring too.

Dolphin Watch Cruises Jervis Bay offers a 90-minute cruise that takes visitors into the heart of Jervis Bay to search for its 100 resident bottlenose dolphins. While dolphin sightings are not guaranteed, the chances of spotting them from a boat are higher than from the shore. The tour provides educational value as well, with informative commentary about Jervis Bay from the captain. Additionally, passengers can enjoy fantastic ocean views during the cruise.
If you're looking for a memorable and breathtaking experience in the stunning Jervis Bay region, Dolphin Watch Cruises is an absolute gem. I recently had the pleasure of joining one of their cruises, and it truly exceeded all expectations. From the moment we boarded the boat, the staff's warm welcome and enthusiasm set the tone for an incredible experience. The crew was friendly, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about the local marine life, especially the dolphins. They provided fascinating insights into the area's ecosystem and the habits of the dolphins that call Jervis Bay home. The highlight, of course, was the dolphins themselves. We were lucky enough to see multiple pods of dolphins swimming alongside the boat, leaping and playing in the crystal-clear waters. The views were simply spectacular, with the scenic beauty of Jervis Bay adding to the magic of the encounter. The boat was comfortable, and there was plenty of space to move around for the best vantage points, whether you’re on the deck or inside. The cruise also offers a relaxing atmosphere, with plenty of opportunities to enjoy the surrounding beauty of the bay and its pristine waters. Whether you're a wildlife enthusiast, a photographer, or simply someone looking to unwind in nature, this cruise is a perfect way to spend a few hours. All in all, Dolphin Watch Cruises in Jervis Bay provides an exceptional way to connect with nature and experience the incredible marine life in the area. It’s an unforgettable experience that I highly recommend to anyone visiting this picturesque part of New South Wales. Whether you're a local or a visitor, this cruise is definitely worth it!
Surendra B — Google review
Smooth trip, unfortunately we didn't see any dolphins but was a great cruise around Jervis Bay. Not too crowded. Lovely and friendly crew.
Bron M — Google review
We joined a dolphin-watching cruise in Jervis Bay and while we didn’t spot any dolphins during the actual cruise, we were lucky to see one near the jetty just before boarding—which was still a nice surprise! The crew were friendly and knowledgeable, and the boat ride itself was relaxing with beautiful views of the bay. Even without many dolphins, it was a lovely way to spend the afternoon on the water. Would definitely try again—nature doesn’t always follow the schedule!
Li-Na — Google review
Crew is amazing and the tour was great. The crew are so caring, constantly asking how their guests are and ensuring that they could see the dolphins swimming near the boat. The tour purposefully and respectfully finds and follows the dolphins to allow everyone a great experience. We had such a good time that we also booked the whale watching tour a few days later. Thanks for having us !! We will be back for more.
Chantelle S — Google review
Nice and Informative. Dolphin cruise will show you dolphin while keeping knowledge of marine life to know when and how the dolphins will come or interact. Nice crew and a good experience overall.
Sumeet M — Google review
Had a good time & spotted some dolphins. Went down to the coast for days trip and weather was perfect. Only slight concern is to reconsider if you have toddlers. Noticed few of them getting restless as the cruise is longer than an hour.
Kelzang K — Google review
Nice cruise of Jervis Bay, didn’t get to see any dolphins but was a great was to get a guide tour of the Bay on a large 3 story boat
Jonathon I — Google review
Had the most fantastic dolphin watch trip. We saw 20+ dolphins including a really tiny young one - so cute! The skipper and crew were awesome and we were viewing dolphins for most of the 90 minutes. JB is indeed a special place and I would highly recommend this cruise to everyone.

Water park
Jamberoo Action Park is a thrilling water park nestled in the picturesque countryside, just a scenic 40km drive from Gerringong. The park features an array of attractions including wave pools, slides, mini-golf, and chairlift rides. Visitors can experience the excitement of giant water slides and Surf Hill's eight-lane speed slide. With options ranging from high-thrill rides to more mild ones for kids, this park caters to all age groups.
We had a great time at Jamberoo we went mid March and there were no queues. Super family friendly great variety of rides, really loved the wave pool & beach. there were lots of lounges to sit on, Chairs and tables and Easy signage as well so you know what to do and where to go. Will definitely be back!

Absolutely fantastic day, whoever invented the Huts/Cabins - deserves a award.. The train ride to your destinations is also a great idea. Our three kids haven’t experienced something like this before, they want me to buy land next door and then buy a season pass.. it was a excellent day Thank you to all the employees, who were very helpful, especially the lovely lady’s who were very helpful in the surf shack
Tony M — Google review
Jamberoo water park is an amazing spot on a hot day to go with friends or family- the hot day that I went was perfect because it was nice and busy, but when you get to the entrance on the slide or activity there was no people on almost all of the slides, so you can do it as many times as you want in a short time. The water park had so many different things to do including a 5 metre rock jump, mini golf, and obviously lots of rides. It only took about 3 mins to buy tickets on site and then a small walk to the first thing- everything is very accessible from anywhere in the place and it is the perfect spot if you're looking for an action packed day.
Arthur S — Google review
It was a truly wonderful experience. The car journey to the park, winding through the bushes and offering ocean views, was quite amazing. The water park itself met our expectations, and we had a great deal of fun. The weather was ideal, neither too hot nor too cold. There weren't many people, which allowed us to enjoy all the rides without lengthy waits. The rides were enjoyable and suitable for all ages, which meant our family could experience almost all of them together. However, we were unable to locate a changing room, which was a minor disappointment. Nevertheless, it was a pleasure to be there with the family and have such an amazing experience.
Sam M — Google review
My 5 year old son and I had a great time. The staff were friendly and helpful. Plenty of rides for all ages. This place is a full water theme park and we loved it. Nothing was too over priced either which is great after paying the entry fee. Lockers are conveniently located throughout the park and so are the toilets. We arrived just after 10am on a Sunday in school holidays and were in the gates within about 5 minutes
Brooke G — Google review
Super fun day out, not long wait times. Staff were super friendly and will definitely be going back again. Perfect storm was 10/10

Jamberoo Action Park is an incredible place for a fun-filled day with family! We visited recently, and it exceeded all our expectations. The park offers a great variety of rides and attractions for all ages, from thrilling water slides to relaxing wave pools. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the facilities were well-maintained. We spent the whole day there, from 10:30 AM to 5:00 PM, and the kids couldn’t stop smiling—they had an absolute blast! There’s something for everyone to enjoy, and it’s the perfect way to create unforgettable memories. Highly recommend visiting Jamberoo; it’s totally worth it!
Taliw118 Y — Google review
I visited here with my boyfriend, and we had such a great time! The staff were friendly, and the place wasn’t too crowded when I first came right after it opened. One small thing to note — there’s a single-rider waterslide where you need to bring your mat up yourself. I didn’t know that at first and had to go back down to get it 😅 Other than that, everything was perfect. It’s definitely a fun place to visit!

The Friendly Inn Hotel, located in the heart of Kangaroo Valley township, is a heritage-listed pub dating back to 1897. This historic establishment offers a friendly welcome and a family-friendly menu, embodying the essence of traditional pub dining. The comforting open fireplace and spacious beer garden make it an ideal stop for families and visitors seeking warmth and relaxation. Originally named the Commercial Hotel, this distinctive establishment was designed by Cyril Blackett and has been a beloved spot for locals and tourists alike.
A perfect venue for my car club's annual drive for dinner on the first Saturday night of the year. This year we had 65 people and the marquee was perfect for us. We did need a couple extra adjacent tables though, due to another marquee table being booked for a birthday party. Ordering meals from the bistro was prompt and painless. Meals were served exceptionally quickly and excellent quality and value. Thanks for having us again! We'll be back next year.

They do take out. Today i went there at 5.00 and ordered bangers and mash , 2 cheese burgers, and more. I walked in there the place is pack full of locals nice place to hang out .I would of loved to stay but i went there to pick food up and take it back to a holiday house . The food was amazing i am from the city but i am loving country food so much everything i have eaten so far the last few days has been amazing at Kangeroo Valley. I highly recommend anyone to stop by weather if your staying for a few days or just driving by.

Really packed local pub that offers lots of classic pub foods along with other unique selections. All the food was great except for the soup of the day (lobster bisque at the time) that was extremely salty for me and my fam. Overall great ambiance, packed with locals. Definitely book ahead before you come (was extremely lucky that I got a table at a busy night as almost all of the indoor space was pretty much booked)
Meta N — Google review
We stayed in KV from Sunday to Wednesday, so the Friendly Inn was literally the only dinner option in town. Schnitzel on Sun was fine. Curry on Monday was excellent, but not hot enough, even after asking for it to be hot. Prawn linguini on Tuesday was superb. This place has great atmosphere, plenty of outdoor space, and is dog friendly. Just a shame that the staff allow smoking in the sheltered outdoor areas.
Max P — Google review
What a great place for lunch. Great heritage, great food, lots of seating inside and out. Highly recommend this pub.
Brad H — Google review
Beautiful little country tavern, family friendly with a picturesque and sprawling outside area, kids playground and a delightful scent of Jasmine flowers drifting in the air. Top shelf beers available, served at the perfect temperature. Hot chips (potato and sweet potato) were delicious. Highly recommend.
Michelle T — Google review
The Meal ordered was $28.50... a mushroom, haloumi burger. The chips were overcooked! And the burger was average. No dipping sauce. For a "friendly Inn and a nice looking Pub, the food quality was very poor I fed most of the chips to my dog. I mentioned it to the waitress & she heard, but she did not say she was going to tell the kitchen. It was early in the evening as well, like 5:30pm, so they weren't even busy yet!
Joanna P — Google review
The new menu is hit and miss, burger patties, steak sandwich and streak overcooked almost burned and bitter. The service and atmosphere are awesome. Thank you to the lovely manager and staff for listening and acting on my feedback. I will definitely be back! Thank you

Sights & Landmarks
Historical landmark
Hampden Bridge, located in Kangaroo Valley, Australia, is a 19th-century wooden suspension bridge with unique gothic Victorian sandstone towers that give it the appearance of a medieval castle entrance. It is the last surviving wooden suspension bridge in Australia and offers visitors the chance to admire its beautiful architecture. The surrounding area features lush landscapes and heritage buildings, making it an enchanting place to explore.
Now this is a bridge I haven't seen since I was a kid and obligatory school hols road trip. Hampden bridge is both a piece of history (opened in 1898) and also an important single lane bridge on Moss Vale road in Kangaroo Valley. If you are in the area, pull over and check this piece of history for yourself.
C — Google review
Nice place for a quick stopover by the side of water and scenic views. If you would like to do quaking you can hire and go for an adventure.

An architectural piece thats lasted decades (hopefully forever). Holds lots of history and is sturdy, and right next to it is a kayak and camping ground rental place. Perfect for spring/summer adventures.
Kekona K — Google review
Probably the highlight ( in terms of looks) of the town. Make it seem historic. It’s a small bridge. But looks cool. If around check it out.
H S — Google review
Marvellous piece of architectural and engineering history worth stopping for a look and a short walk along the river to the lookouts.
Greg G — Google review
Kangaroo Valley is a true gem! Its serene natural beauty, lush greenery, stunning escarpments, and tranquil rivers make it perfect for relaxation and exploration. The drive through the valley offers breathtaking landscapes, and the charming village with its quaint shops and cafes adds to the charm. The walking trails are fantastic, providing an immersive experience in the native flora and fauna. The abundance of wildlife, including kangaroos and diverse bird species, is a delight. There are several idyllic picnic spots along the river, perfect for a peaceful day out. Whether you’re into hiking, photography, or just unwinding in nature, Kangaroo Valley has something for everyone. A highly recommended getaway!
Gunjan P — Google review
You can swim in the river, but the water is cold and there is a current. The bridge is suspended with a wooden deck, cars pass through it one at a time, and there is a lane for pedestrians.
Anastasiia G — Google review
The only surviving wooden 19th-century suspension bridge in Australia, and it's completely original. What a great piece of history! Traffic across this bridge is one-lane, and there's a small pedestrian path (not a lot of room). It's easy to walk to from the town of Kangaroo Valley (footpaths along the way) ❗ I've included pictures of the signage, great history! 🚻 Public toilets nearby on the Kangaroo Valley side

Drawing Room Rocks is a fascinating rock formation that offers a glimpse into the area's geological past. The surrounding area features several bushwalks, such as the White Sands Walk, Scribbly Gum Track, and Pigeon House Mountain Didthul Walking Track, allowing visitors to explore diverse landscapes. The trail to Drawing Room Rocks provides stunning views of the coast and mountain range but can be challenging due to its steep and slippery sections.
Whilst it was very misty, the rocks formations were beautiful. Took us 33 mins to come down. We are in our 60s of good fitness. It was an enjoyable challenge. It is mainly uphill most of the time, and the rocks can be slippery. Remember to take water. If you have a pre-existing injury, such as a sore knee, this walk may not suit you. I drive a BMW and we managed the dirt track up to the parking area, driving slowly. There is no entry fee, but parking is limited.
Grahame — Google review
Nice walk up to the rocks through the bush. Not too long, just over an hour up and back. Clouds obscured the view at the top which was disappointing, would definitely be better off waiting for a clear day to go. Last stretch of road to the start of the walk was a bit treacherous. Overall a positive experience, a good, relatively short bush walk, with rewarding views of Broughton Vale (at least on a clear day)
Christian B — Google review
It's about a 3km round trip to the summit & back. The track is about to go under some big repair work as has been damaged by recent heavy rains, so will be easier soon. Big steps, easy to trip or slip- so advise to take it slow. The view is incredible at the top - take a snack and linger on the rocks that make nice flat seats. And take binoculars!! You'll want to pick out the many towns, roads, and headlands you'll see.
Kate F — Google review
Abit of an uphill trek! but worth it! takes about 30mins to walk up have some breaks if you need and take some proper shoes it’s rocky!
Dimi Z — Google review
Ummm, it’s an amazing lookout, however, if you’re unfit you will need others around you to jolly you along! The ascent is challenging, for the unfit. The descent is a dream for the unfit! It is worth it, very beautiful views and somewhere a bit different. I imagine it would be very tricky on the weekends, parking wise, so maybe check with a local first before driving up. The parking is very limited and informal. Don’t have a big lunch before the climb! Enjoy!
Steven M — Google review
A 1-hour hike along a winding trail was great.
Hyojung P — Google review
Great easy to medium walk. Be careful with cliffs. But lovely
Anand M — Google review
Amazing scenery and overlooking view of the coast/mountain range. It takes approximately 45mins hike to go up so around 2 hours return. You’ll need 2.5-3hrs minimum time to hike here. The trail is bit challenging so you also have to be physically fit. This is a medium level trail but you’ll be able to hike with your kids with supervision especially in the cliffs.

Harry Sawkins Park is a serene and expansive natural area featuring a large, peaceful pond teeming with diverse bird species. The park also includes amenities such as toilets, a skate park located towards the back, and a children's playground with various entertainment options. While some areas of the park could benefit from maintenance and cleanliness improvements, it offers pleasant walking paths for relaxation amidst nature. Additional seating and tables would further enhance the overall experience at Harry Sawkins Park.
This is a beautiful well manicured park and small lake offering peace and serenity for those who seek it. It also has walking tracks and children's play equipment. I will be visiting again. I would like to suggest thre things to optimise the experience, a board showing what species of bird may be seen, a step count for the pathway and a childrens story told page by page around the walking track. This will add to the appeal for all generations

Visited here on our travels to take our daughter to the playground. Part of the equipment was missing/damaged and in some places rusted. The grass was well overgrown with a lot of rubbish closer to the water which also dangerous/polluted partly evidenced perhaps by a recently deceased duck.

The playground is quite dated with a few broken parts. Street parking nearby, toilets are a decent walk from the playground.

Relaxing and nice, pond could use some TLC Kids playground has a lot of different things to offer. Lots of ducks and geese and the odd lizard or two. The pond itself needs a good clean

I like the park. Creek/pond is kinda gross but the grassed spaces and layout are pretty, the walking paths are always well maintained. The BBQs and kids park are a favourite way to gather a big group and enjoy an afternoon or morning and

This is fantastic park located on Graham st Nowra. Great place to take kids. With an equipment area which includes a swing for wheelchair access. Also attached to this park is a skate park for the skateboarder in the family. Plenty of grassed area in and around a large water feature with great shade from well spaced trees and plenty of benches and tables to enjoy a rest or have a picnic at. Parking is available in both McGrath ave and Graham st.

Very pleasant place to sit, picnic and generally chill out. Has children's safe playground with a wheel chair swing. Public toilets, a covered stage area, large duck pond (no swimming water well used by birds). Ample parking and adjacent to the Shoalhaven Entertainment Centre and the council chambers.

Holiday Haven Huskisson Beach offers a relaxed escape with direct beach access, an outdoor pool, and tennis courts. It's a dog-friendly accommodation with barbecues available in the park and along the beachfront. The park also features a small playground for kids to enjoy. Visitors can take advantage of its great location, just steps away from the beach and close to amenities like Emma's coffee van for a morning pick-me-up.
This is our favourite place to stay when holidaying! Close enough to walk into town. Beautiful cabins with awesome views. Would highly recommend this place for holidays. Clean rooms and different rooms available for all budgets

Throughly enjoyed the location and town and beaches wow. The park is well placed apart from the road noise as the back where all the caravan sites are. The sites are also very very tight so plan ahead to ensure you can get in and not get stressed. We loved the easy walk tot be beaches in the afternoon and everything around. The facilities are a little tired but clean :-) overall great 👍🏻.

A perfect winter escape in an unbeatable location right across from the beach! It made catching the sunrise and going for morning walks so easy. We stayed in a cabin that had everything we needed and really enjoyed our time. Great views! Would definitely return - will have to try out the camping facilities too!

Fantastic service from the lovely ladies at the reception desk on arrival! They truly go above and beyond — I’m a busy person, and they were so helpful, offering printing, scanning, and just being incredibly accommodating. It’s the kind of service you’d expect at a five-star hotel. A lovely place to stay overall, and I’m really happy holidaying here with the family. A great experience all around!

I had a wonderful stay at Holiday Haven Huskisson! From the moment I arrived, the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful and gave me some great recommendations for nearby walking trails, cafes and restaurants I stayed in a beautiful cabin that was spotlessly clean, comfortable, and had everything I needed for my little winter getaway. It was the perfect comfortable escape The location is truly unbeatable—right across from the beach, which made catching the sunrise and going for morning walks a dream. The views of the sunrise over the water were absolutely breathtaking. I would definitely recommend this holiday park and will certainly return

Was really dissapointed with the bushland site we stayed at. Was right by the road which gets a fair bit of traffic. There is not much that's 'bushland' with the bushland sites, so don't expect too much. In the site given (169) the allocated power terminal was in such a weird spot it didn't even reach the main part of the site with an extension lead. The price did not reflect the quality. The reception staff member was nice and the amenities were good.

We spent 11 days on a powered site with ensuite and found the park, the location and more-so the management to be nothing short of outstanding. Whilst there we experienced the recent ‘South Coast Bomb’ weather phenomena during which the park management made every effort to ensure that park patrons were safe and secure and in several instances offered and provided alternative and/or at no cost accommodation options to ensure that guests were safe or if they had concerns. Park management are to be very much congratulated and their support was indeed appreciated. It was not our first time at this park and certainly won’t be our last.

We had such a wonderful stay at Holiday Haven Huskisson! The cabin had everything we needed. It was clean, comfortable and well-equipped for our little getaway. The park itself was amazing, with two fantastic play parks that my 3yo daughter absolutely loved. The beach being right there was the cherry on top! From our initial enquiry to booking and throughout our stay, the service was exceptional. A special thank you to Corinne and Chloe - you were both so friendly and helpful and truly made our experience even better. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here and can’t wait to come back!

Funland Ulladulla is an exciting activity center with interactive rides and games spread across three floors, making it a hit for kids. The venue operates similarly to timezone, where visitors load money onto a card to enjoy the various attractions. The staff are known for their exceptional service, going above and beyond to ensure everyone has a great time. Additionally, Funland offers party packages that take care of everything from start to finish, allowing parents to relax while their children have a blast.
Had my son’s 10th birthday party today at Funland Ulladulla and the kids had a ball. Hudson was a great party host who kept the kids entertained for over 2 hours. Funland is such a great place for the kids parties. They have great party pack which includes food and the cake. Thank you Hudson & Funland Ulladulla for a great day and great organisational skills from James.

Place is just getting worse as time goes on which is a shame as it really was a fun place to go for both adults and kids. Nearly half the machines don't work and the ones you think work just eat your money because buttons need replacing and the biggest crime of all no pinball machines. I don't see this place lasting much longer unfortunately.
Jai G — Google review
I’ve visited this arcade before and had a great time, which is why I decided to come back tonight. Unfortunately, I was disappointed to find the arcade closed at 8:20pm, even though their website states that they should be open until 9:30 pm. It was pitch black and clearly not open, which was quite frustrating. I hope they update their hours online to avoid this confusion in the future.
Montana — Google review
Went in during the school holidays, most of the ticket games machines were out of order. They removed the laser tag for lame games that no one was using for the 1/2 hour we were there. Was looking forward to having a good time yet the kids were as disappointed as I was. A waste of $200+ dollars.
Jeremy T — Google review
Don't waste your money! The place is over priced and you never win. It's a complete money grab. The kids always leave disapointed so we've stopped going. Please sort it out and stop being so greedy!

I took my grandsons for a visit. Staff were absolutely fantastic, especially with my youngest grandson who is autistic. They spent time helping him on the dodgems and this totally made his day. Two of the staff members also commented on how amazing my eldest grandson is with his younger brother. I will most certainly be going back.
Coleen T — Google review
Don't waste your money. No exaggeration I would estimate 30% of the arcade machines are completely broken and the other 70% are faulty in some way. Seriously, don't waste your money.

This place is the coolest. Our boys loved it. So much for them to do and enjoy. I love they have so many arcade games, two large kid slides and dodgem cars. They work like timezone with a card that you load money onto. The staff are absolutely lovely. My two young toddlers only had enough for x1 100 point prize the amazing male staff member made it an even 200 points so they both didn't have to share. Just lovely of him. Thank you. 😊 I recommend stopping in if your ever in Ulladulla.

We have been here fishing at the Outer Tubes no Chinese German Japanese Submarines just waiting for 30 years for the American build one which will be out of date like the Collins class and boats submarines but unexploded ammunition and camping and sightseeing you might catch some whales 🐳 swimming up and down the coast ! The road is good for a blue metal 🎸 road you should take your new L plate driver on a dirt road to see if they loose the car 🚗 on the corners it is better on The way home to take the Forest road stop off at Callala Beach and Currarong Beach for lunch stop whining about the road? On the 90 meter cliffs people practice rock climbing 🧗 you can camp 🏕️ in some places and the Harbour is 9 times the size of Sydney Harbour and whiter sand then Bondi beach Honeymooners bay Hymns beach are nice beach’s fishing in the Jervis Bay and snorkeling! You might get your shoes wet ladies. On warm days the a death adder and other snakes 🐍 spiders 🕷️ that can kill you and your family and friends
Carlos J — Google review
The drive to this attraction spot is rather long, not really scenic and there's no nearby attractions within 10mins drive. So making the trip here is really only for this, and I personally don't find the experience rewarding enough for such an effort, hence the 4 stars. There are better lookouts around Jervis Bay - Cape St George Lighthouse for example. The surrounding can be improved with better looking fences, maybe it's just under renovation now. There's a checkpoint to enter this reserve area but we didn't have to pay anything despite not having any national park pass. Parking spaces are plenty, do a 400m walk to the main viewpoint. There is a mobile toilet cube, but very poorly maintained. Would advice to empty your bladder before starting the journey! It's extremely windy up there too so prep your jackets on a cold day. Do check out my pictures as they are self explanatory about the views. I see some doing extreme rock climbing in the area too so maybe that's an activity you can check out too.
Amber M — Google review
Beautiful area with lighthouse. The views surrounding it are panoramic and would be great for whale watching. A few potholes on the way in but not too bad. Plenty of tracks for bushwalks nearby.
Linda J — Google review
Only one weekend per year you can walk inside the lighthouse. International lighthouse weekend. It was fantastic. We met some great people who told us the history of the lighthouse.
Alison S — Google review
You can only go here at certain times so check beforehand. There's no seating anywhere at the lighthouse unless you get a tour inside I'm guessing. The roads have deep drainage dips that can easily bottom out your car if you miss the signs. It was so windy we only stayed for 10min. Not much to read on the information board. Staff at the entry gate were very friendly and helpful. Next time I would book a tour of the lighthouse. Is a beautiful building as are the sandstone military buildings next to it.
Brendo G — Google review
Visiting Point Perpendicular Lighthouse is a nice experience! The first thing to note is that there is convenient car parking available just a short 100-meter walk from the lighthouse, which is always a plus. The highlight of my visit was definitely the breathtaking views of the whale migration. It was an amazing sight to witness them in their natural habitat. If you're a nature lover or simply appreciate the beauty of marine life, this is an absolute must-visit. Another thing worth mentioning is the stunning sunset views during the winter months. There's something magical about watching the sun dip below the horizon while being surrounded by the lighthouse's picturesque setting. It's the perfect spot for capturing some incredible photographs or simply enjoying a tranquil moment. For those who enjoy cycling there are bike racks available at Point Perpendicular Lighthouse. It's a fantastic way to explore the area and take in the scenery on two wheels. Whether you're a casual rider or a seasoned cyclist, the lighthouse surrounds (not inside the fenced area) offer a great opportunity to hop on your bike and enjoy the outdoors. Point Perpendicular Lighthouse is a gem of a destination. With convenient parking, stunning whale migration views, mesmerizing winter sunsets, bike racks for cycling enthusiasts, and easy walking paths, it offers a well-rounded experience for everyone. Whether you're a local or a tourist, this lighthouse should definitely be on your must-visit list.

Shoalhaven Heads Native Botanic Garden is a free and well-maintained space where visitors can explore and study native plants of the Shoalhaven region. The garden, established in the early 2000s, is a community project entirely cared for by park care volunteers. It features lush green grass perfect for picnics and informative signage about the native uses of various plants. Additionally, visitors can enjoy sculptures by local artists and observe native birds flying around.
Loved it! My partner lost count at 300 and something different plants, which is amazing for a small Botanic Garden. It's so pretty and tranquil and such a lovely thing to have in a small town like Shoalhaven Heads. Thank you to the people who created and maintain the garden. The bird and bee boxes are cute AF and there are really cool looking mushrooms (no not the edabile type) all throughout the garden. There seemed to be a picnic area there, and a park for the kids, if you have kids, or if you are a big kid. Highly recommended this spot to anyone looking for Pokestops or Pokemon Gyms, or who have kids who play Pokemon Go. 🖤

Beautiful spot to camp. Totally around 24 sites. Gets busy on summer times and on school holidays. Just next to beach and river. Short and good paths to walk around. I have seen couple of kangaroos around the river. Not easy to find the entrance. Need to get through unsealed road for 8min to get there.

If you're after good fishing, then maybe come here and let me know how you go. I think I just suck at fishing. But the water is quite shallow for a long way out, though I did catch a baby flatty off the beach. Other than that, stunning beach, there is even a plaque on the rocks to the south, a memorial to a past fellow of loved the place, and I can see why. Great bushwalks around and picnic spaces. The camp grounds were well marked out and tidy, and there is even a drop toilet. The toilet needs to be pumped out, though they're getting a bit full, but don't smell too bad.

Best holiday park on the south coast. We stayed there for a short break & our family was to follow a few weeks later. Brad & his staff helped us create a surprise for our family & went above & beyond. The staff were welcoming, friendly & professional. I recently spent 10 days at Holiday Haven in Lake Conjola and had an amazing experience! The facilities were spotless — you can really tell the staff take great care in keeping everything clean and comfortable. Having the lake so close by was a huge bonus, perfect for swimming, kayaking, or just relaxing by the water. One of my favorite things was the friendly wildlife that’s always around — it really added to the peaceful, nature-filled vibe of the park. Everyone we met, from fellow campers to staff, was so welcoming and friendly. A special mention to Brad, the manager, who went out of his way to be kind and helpful throughout our stay. His hospitality made the trip even better. Highly recommend Holiday Haven for anyone looking for a relaxing and beautiful getaway!

Probably one of the nicest caravan parks I have ever stayed in. Right on conjola Lake with kangaroos everywhere and so many different birds. Great place for fishing and chilling. The facilities were the best I have seen in any caravan park and spotlessly clean. Great showers and toilets and plenty of them. Everything is clean and quiet. We loved this place. I could sit on the edge of that lake watching pelicans glide in and ducks swimming past while kangaroos quietly graze behind forever! Plenty of barbecues and undercover areas to eat.

Travelled with family, some stayed in ensuite sites whilst we stayed in the 2br cabin opposite the lake. This holiday park is very kid friendly. My kids (4 & 2) loved the playground, water park and swimming pool. It was so beautiful to walk around the site and see the kangaroos. Short walk to the beach. We loved our stay.

Our stay was amazing, the location is perfect, the lake and beach are stunning and it’s an amazing atmosphere 🤩 The staff are friendly and accomodating. There is so much wide life, the kangaroos, possums, lorikeets, ducks and rabbits all came to visit us. The park facilities are great with the amazing pool, splash pad, jumping pillow, playground, outdoor cinema and tennis courts, there is always something to keep you busy but it’s also a great park to sit back and relax in! Recommend bringing the bikes to get around. Fishing was fun with bait available on-site and yummy ice creams available at the shop. Perfect spot for kayaking or paddle boarding. There are plenty of amenities blocks in the park, so it was lovely to know no matter where you are in the park they are only a short distance away and they were all spotless 🫧🧼 with hot comfortable showers 🚿 The local bowling club has amazing meals and is highly recommended. I loved our stay here and will definitely be back ✅

We felt very fortunate that we were able to find a caravan spot over Easter at this Caravan park. Our spot 32A was perfect for us, it felt like a private retreat to us. Everywhere birds in trees and bushes, it was pleasant. The park is well set up for families with kids, so many play areas and you offered special events over Easter. The bathrooms at the pool area are lovely set up, I just have one suggestion maybe a floor squeegee so that customers can clear the water when using the bathroom. Otherwise we found everything clean and well looked after. Friendly staff and lovely reception when we arrived.

Beautiful location! Short (but steep) walk to town. Absolutely awesome pool. Such a good depth and a large wading area for toddlers. Great parks and tidy, clean (but old) amenities. The sites are large. The lady at the front counter was efficient and polite. No onsite coffee but that didn’t worry us. A great dog friendly park. Even a fenced off dog yard for toilet time (for the dogs). Putt putt, a bowling green, splash park. This park nearly had it all! Excellent stay. But only 4 stars due to steep location and we do like having an onsite cafe or coffee cart and kids club. But that would not put us off coming back. We loved our stay.

Inside the DISHWASHER, inside the FRIDGE, coming out from the skirting boards, on the countertop, in the bathroom, in the toilet, in the wardrobe, LITERALLY EVERYWHERE!!! The place was so dirty there was MOULD growing in the FRIDGE and the SHOWER. It was the absolute filthiest place I have ever been too. Other options for cleaner accommodation in the area would be a truck stop bathroom. RESPONSE TO OWNER (CHRIS) If you are already aware that mould is an ongoing challenge, You should increase the cleaning. We made you aware of the issue the night we arrived and wasn't until we physically went in to the office the next day that anyone acknowledged the issue. The response we received after showing staff the videos of the cockroaches running everywhere was "Do you want some bug spray?" and when we finally spoke to you Chris, you stated "We brought the cockroaches with us" I literally was shocked that you would say this to a customer. When I said they are inside the fridge you thought it was funny to say "Don't worry they don't eat much" We were unable to keep food in the fridge due to the cockroaches having the ability to get inside the fridge. Lets address the part of your reply that states we declined moving and you were unable to do treatment to the property due to us not moving. This is completely incorrect. You called only one pest control guy, who wasn't available until our check out day and that was it. You didn't try to call anyone else and then asked again if we wanted some bug spray. The offer to move to a lesser valued cabin with a porta cot that you advised you use as a play pen for your own children. Was not a viable option and did not give me confidence it was safe/clean for my child to use. Lets fast forward to the conversation I had with you on the phone today (24.03.2025). I was returning your call thinking you may have wanted to apologise or at least do something to make the situation better. I can only laugh at how you acted on the phone. You advised you had called me after seeing the review to explain your disappointment in the review and then proceeded to tell me we are ungrateful customers and finished the call by advising me you are wasting your time talking to me. GREAT customer service skills. As I stated on the phone there are many other things I could have included in this review which I didn't. I was merely doing my duty as a customer and providing feedback for future customers. Your customer services and conflict resolution skills are so very poor and its clearly seen in the reply to this review, other reviews and on the phone. If anyone needs to put through a complaint to there head office the email address is info@holidayhaven.com.au

What a Great location, the park layout was great for our stay in our family van over the Easter school holidays 2025 . The friendly staff where always happy to help, we had an en-suite site for the girls, I used the amenities, which where always very clean, a short walk for a swim was like we had our own private beach, the water was crystal clear! I would recommend staying here it was a very relaxing south coast stay

I’ve thought long and hard about this review, and concluded I must share the story. We stayed 14-15 March 2025. 2 adults and 1 much younger single. Great location and cabin was nice and clean. BUT the cabin was an oven and the aircon was on the fritz. The Manager came and ‘reset’ the unit via the fuse box - but it was basically only operating as a fan. Hot & unpleasant. Next day a technician came but to no avail, and a portable unit showed up. It provided some relief but the NOISE was deafening. There were no other 2 bedroom cabins available for us to move into. So we had 2 miserable nights. At $190/night for the pleasure. And NO discount was offered or given by the manager. Pretty shabby in my opinion. We were part of a larger group and although we plan to return to Ulladulla, we will NOT be staying here again. Additional notes to a lame response - And I DID ASK FOR A DISCOUNT both at the time and upon checkout. Each time declined. The substitute cabin offered was not practical or appropriate for a middle-aged couple and an 18 year old Japanese girl.

This park is amazing. Spent 7 days with family of 3 kids. The park is extremely safe for kids and so much to do. Amenities are very very clean and new. Loved it .

I have just stayed at the park with my partner and our young kids, while the park is very nice and clean We were very disappointed that most facilities were closed. The whole reason we chose this park was because of all the fun things for the kids to do, however both playgrounds were closed, the pool and splash park were closed one of the jumping pillows were closed, so I feel like our exciting fun trip was wasted. I understand if things need maintenance, and there's been some bad weather, however let the customers know BEFORE booking. I was not the only guest upset with this. Don't get me wrong its a lovely park but we were let down as were many others.

We recently stayed at Lake Tabourie Caravan Park and we had the best time! Great facilities, stunning location with pristine beaches and so much to do! The staff were very friendly and accommodating. This park is a hidden South Coast Gem and we will definitely be back!

We stayed in a cabin / Unit. It was so roomy very clean and modern. Everything you need. The park and amenities were great. The best little spot to enjoy a relaxing time . Great walking tracks beautiful beach and the lake is amazing. We had our 2 little fur babies with us. The staff are so lovely and happy to help with anything. I lost my wedding ring the morning we were leaving and the staff searched and went through everything to help us find it. I could not fault them in anyway. 10 stars from me. ✨️ btw I found it eventually. If we come back this way we will defiantly stay there. 10/10

Our Family had a wonderful time here and will be back next year for our annual church camp trip. We have been going to lake tabourie for a number of years now and the service and facilities keep getting better. Holiday haven is a wonderful place for families and friends to enjoy a holiday with beach access and lake access available. However the lake has quite a bit of sea weed and we got lice in it so we would probably suggest the beach or the wonderful pool and splash pad that the park provides. The staff are wonderful and were very helpful to us throughout our stay. The cabins we very nice and clean and the caravan sites were also lovely. The toilets and shower blocks were always clean and we had a great time on the tennis courts and pump track. The parks and jumping pillows were also wonderful for the kids. Definitely recommend this place!!

Beautifully present park. Swimming pool was always clean, as was the playground and surrounding park areas. Lots of on-site vans that didn’t appear to be utilised, perhaps as the end of the school holidays is close. The park borders the ocean and inlet, very pretty area.

My family stayed 2 nights on camp-site 343 , location was great extremely close to beach access . The kids loved the jumpy pillow, pool and riding the bikes around playing with their cousins and friends. The only negative would be my 2 year old was happily riding her balance bike when a dog chased her barking at her and scared her terribly . The owner of the dog did come and apologise but it was to much of a close call for my liking . I think it's fine to have dogs there but aslong as they are always secure and friendly . Next time we will stay for longer as it was great for the family .

Nice park, and enjoyed being along fence across from river… neat and tidy, well maintained. A large park mainly made up of permanent caravans. Clearly cabins and permanents are the main focus. Nice facilities like pool, mini golf etc, HOWEVER disappointing that there are no bins throughout park- just two points large bins.; and dump point way up one end albeit in a parking bay suitable for washing cars and boats.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Holiday Haven Shoalhaven Heads! The location is perfect—nestled between the river and the beach, it offers beautiful views and a peaceful atmosphere. The park is incredibly clean and well-maintained, with spacious cabins and great facilities. The staff were warm, welcoming, and always ready to help, which made the experience even more enjoyable. There are plenty of activities for all ages, from the swimming pool and playground for kids to scenic walks and fishing spots nearby for adults. It’s a fantastic place for families, couples, or anyone looking to relax and unwind in a natural setting. We’ll definitely be back and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the Shoalhaven area!

We stayed here for just under 2 weeks. It gets super busy during peak periods. Great jumpy pillow, amazing pool, great facilities and an awesome games room. We were parked up alongside the river but it was also an easy walk to the ocean and the shops. Great stay and I highly recommend

I want to start by saying that the place was great. Located walking distance to the beach, our daughter loved the play equipment and the room was clean, looked after, and well equipped for what we needed. It was easy to find, good food places around with the Bowling Club and Pub close by and an easy drive into Nowra to visit the Wildlife Park. However we were disappointed with the response we received the week before. We called a week earlier as our daughter was in hospital and we didn't know what was happening and when we would get out. We asked for a credit as we still wanted to come down but it was all unknown. The reply was no, we are within 14 days and that's our policy. A cold response. I understand businesses need cancellation policies, and during a peak period I would have copped the loss if we couldn't attend, however it was a mid week visit, in a school term, the weather was cooling and it was pretty much empty when we visited. We had to end up leaving a day early to return to work due to the previous week. The business may have held onto a sale by enforcing the cancellation policy, but they have potentially lost a returning customer as we will look elsewhere for our short getaways. As a business it's a fine line you need to juggle and I felt this one missed the mark.

Nice location on Shoalhaven inlet and adjacent beach, caravan sites good sized, good grassed throughout park, amenities modern ladies, old but clean men's, heaps of kids play areas, beautiful large pool, tennis court, mini golf, jym area. Small shops nearby and about 15 minutes drive into Nowra

Nestled amidst rugged mountains, Kangaroo Valley Glenmack Park is a picturesque rural escape often hailed as Australia's most stunning valley. This lush haven boasts rolling green hills, verdant rainforests, and glistening creeks and rivers, all embraced by dramatic escarpments. The valley's rejuvenating ambiance is attributed to its morning mists, pristine air, and abundant waterways.
The bath house appeared like it was built last month and is immaculate! There's about 7 showers and stalls very well maintained. Standard nice dump station for black water and gray water dumping conveniently at our electric/water site on the "river" that I would define as a creek. Well maintained fire spots at our campsite and they sold firewood onsite for $20/bag. Convenient trash/recycling in more than one location. Very nice dish washing station at the bath house. We were able to easily walk downtown to the restaurant and shops.

Wake up to the sunrise spilling over the mountains from the comfort of your tent. At Glenmack Park, tent campers can roll in and pick their spot—no marked sites, just first in, best dressed. While it keeps that down-to-earth camping vibe, you’ll still find plenty to keep everyone smiling: mini golf, a jumping pillow, a refreshing pool, and spotless updated bathrooms. This little gem is one of our favourites—not only for the scenery, but because it’s just a short stroll to the Kangaroo Valley shopping strip, where you can grab a coffee, a bite to eat, or browse the local stores before heading back to your campfire.
Sang N — Google review
Spent the weekend at Glenmack Park. The location is great with an easy walk to the main part of town. Plenty of non-powered campsites. Some of the powered sites have firepits - so the best of both worlds; a campfire and power!! We stayed in a cabin. Cabin was okay for a weekend away although they could do with a bit of a spruce up. Regardless, we would come again and would recommend the place. Also staff are nice and friendly.

Great spot for camping - first come first serve in the field areas. Really nice, big and quality toilet / shower block. Walk to town, 5 min drive to swim in river. Big pool on site (definitely not heated!). Kids loved jumping pillow and horses, pony’s, lamas etc just across the fence.

June long weekend 2025 We camped on the grassed unpowered area, and it was fantastic.level ground and freshly cut grass. Service from the caretaker was friendly and welcoming. Great rustic camp kitchen. Fantastic shower with plenty of room to change. Great location from main town, Berry, and Shollhaven Heads. Pet friendly. This will become our go to for a local camping spot. Maybe a few bench seats out side the bathroom would be nice.
HAYLEY C — Google review
Highly recommend if you are going there with a family. Nice little park, bathrooms are one of the best I have seen. If you are going with just mates, do not recommend. Cannot have any noise after 10, yes we were being loud and had music, you dont notice how loud you are when you are drinking. But a simple hey guys, you are being loud and keep it down. But owner is on a power trip and threatening to kick us out. In saying that, we did keep it down after that and had a good time

The park offers various amenities such as a tennis court, mini-golf course, and a play area to keep guests entertained. Families with kids will appreciate the fenced splash pad with aquatic play equipment and a tipping bucket, as well as the jumping pillow.
My wife and I stayed on a non powered site last weekend and had a great experience. The managers, Alex and Bec made us feel very much at home and offered excellent advice about the area. The amenities are modern, clean and abundant. We could not have asked for more!

Location is spot on, lots of beaches and exploring to do. Park is well maintained and tidy. Cabin tidy and functional for 2A 2K. Good amount of activities in park. Only issue with service is due to a family member being treated rudly regarding the camp spot for their forward fold trailer ( just confirm what size your trailer is!!). Would recommend!

Very nice large park with modern toilets/showers. Lots of permanent vans. Only problem, no local general store, so you'll need to bring all food or go on trips to Nowra etc. Bowling club 2 min walk.

Perfect place to take young kids! It has a splash park, jumping pillow, big swimming pool, and walking distance to the beach and Currarong River. Our cabin was perfect for my family (with two kids under 5) with a great kitchen, cool bunk beds, and a BBQ very close by. I would highly recommend for anyone looking for a cost-effective family summer holiday, just need to book fairly early in advance due to its popularity!

Very disappointing experience. We were locked inside (more than 10 ppl at the time) the campground playground at night with no way to exit – both the entry and exit gates were shut with no notice or way to open them, code or buttom don't work. There was no one at reception to assist, and we had to climb over a gate just to get out. This is a serious safety issue and completely unacceptable. Clear signage, emergency access, or after-hours support should be in place to prevent situations like this.

3.5 stars. The kids loved the park, pool and splash park. We all loved the mini golf. There was a lot of space per site which was great. Amenities could have been cleaner, women's toilets at closest amenities was closed for the first 24 hours we were there so we had to go so far to get to the toilets which is a mission with kids. Currently staying here and I have the opposite opinion to Wendy Street . This is an amazing caravan park. So much for kids to do and activities always planned by management. Paige R — Google review
Went camping here, was enjoying ourselves. But on the Sunday I got food poisoning and had zero sleep. On the Monday morning we wanted to enquire about getting a cabin for our last night as I just needed a bed, access to a closer bathroom and was too tired to leave and drive home with the kids. The young lady at the desk was not helpful at all and didn’t even attempt to help find a solution as they have a 2 night minimum stay. I would understand that on the weekend and holiday periods but it was a Monday. She also told me they had no clean cabins while literally across the path from us were 2 cleaners cleaning after the weekend. I asked if the boss/manager was available to perhaps authorise a solution she wasn’t allowed to offer. But all she said was no they aren’t here. If I’m lucky I get away 2 times a year between family and running a business. All we wanted was a little help in a tough situation and it felt like on one was interested to see what could be done. I don’t expect people to fall over backwards for me but when I do get to get away I want to know that if there are workable solutions when things aren’t going your way that someone at the facility will at least try.

Holiday Haven Bendalong is a lovely, well maintained park with spotless amenities and beautiful, shaded sites. Staff is friendly and helpful. Nice beaches with manta rays and fantastic nature walks. we absolutely loved it. It was dog friendly, beaches on two sides. One beach has majestic sting rays that come up to your feet, and you can feed and pat them. The other side is a huge beach with clean sand, magical water, and an awesome cave. This is one place i will revisit over and over again. The stress i arrived with, GONE. I love this place. Sad the visit had come to an end.

We had an amazing time at Bendalong Holiday Haven Park! This place is a dream for kids, there’s so much to do. The park itself is huge, and the kids had a blast at the pool, splash park, and on the jumping pillow. They especially loved heading down to the boat ramp to see the stingrays! Was such a unique experience! The facilities are fantastic and well-maintained, with everything kept clean and tidy. We were really impressed with how well the park is managed. We went as a big group and the team at Bendalong Holiday Haven were very catering and answered our every question or concern with ease. The only downside (and really, it’s out of anyone’s control) was the rain. It poured for most of our stay, and the campsites turned into mud pits. That said, it didn’t stop us from enjoying our time here. There’s so much to do here, even with the weather not being ideal. Overall, we had a great stay and will definitely be back! Highly recommend it for families looking for a fun getaway.

Coolendel Camp is a picturesque destination that boasts lush grassy grounds and breathtaking views along the Shoalhaven River. This serene spot has been cherished by families for decades, with many returning to create new memories while reminiscing about past visits. The cabins here maintain their rustic charm, although some guests have noted they could benefit from a thorough cleaning and maintenance update.
This place is amazing. Beautiful location, excellent set up, friendly and helpful team. This property is located on the Shoalhaven in a idyllic valley. Surrounded by the Shoalhaven River. You can camp anywhere you like and there are several different "zones" with their own unique character. Fire pits dot the site so pull up next to one and set-up. The River is very tame and perfect for Kayaks (which you can hire) or get an inflatable and just flow down stream around the camp. 2 amenities blocks with hot showers. Wifi, no mobile coverage whatsoever, and a little general store on-site that also sells firewood. Dont forgwt to say hi to Walton the friendly Great Dane who does the rounds of the property and checks in on everyone and helps look after the wildlife.

We just spent a weekend here and overall had a nice relaxing time, however I wouldn't return to this camp. Firstly the access road in and out is a bit hairy, especially towing a Jayco Swan. But the main reason is the cost, firstly the price for camping for 3 nights for 2 families (4 adults and 5 kids) was over $600, on top of which, they charged $25 for a bag of firewood and $75 for 1 hour double canoe hire. It just felt expensive for what it was and would try somewhere else next time.

We recently spent 2 nights in a cabin at Coolendel. There are 2 cabins and our friends stayed in the other one. The website doesn’t provide a lot of detail about the cabins and I never received a response to my email before our trip so I thought I would review here and post some photos to help others in future. There was a bunk bed in one bedroom. They provided a pillow and a blanket for each of those beds so definitely bring your own sheets and sleeping bags. The other bedroom has a double bed which was made up with sheets, pillows and a doona. You need to bring your own bedding for the pull out sofa in the lounge. Bath towels were provided and the bathroom was well stocked with toilet paper. Bring your own soap. The kitchen was well equipped but there is no toaster. Tea bags, sugar, salt and oil was provided as well as drying up cloths and dish soap. There is no microwave and the fridge is a bar fridge size with a very small freezer section. No point in bringing appliances from home as they will trip the power. In the website pics I thought I saw a gas bbq on the deck but there wasn’t one just the outdoor fireplace. There is a small gas heater inside the house. The location of Coolendel is stunning. We visited in the middle of winter so we almost had the entire place to ourselves. Loved seeing the wombats around the campsite.

We have just come back after 3 days at Coolendel during the Easter Long weekend. This is not our first time visiting as we have been 3 times prior and absolutely loved our stay each time. I have to admit, I was anxious about this visit knowing that it would be school holidays, Easter as well as ANZAC day long weekends. Reading the reviews from last year's Easter Long weekend made me uneasy especially since our previous visits were extremely quiet and we really got to enjoy the place to ourselves. We arrived around 1030am and the team had set up a very quick check in process followed by a safety briefing. We then drove straight into Main Camp and found our favourite spot still vacant and managed to snap up a fire pit too. We watched as groups rolled in. Thankfully my anxiety eased as despite being at capacity we didn't feel crowded and at all. The amenties blocks are basic but you get hot water showers and flushing toilets and thats plenty. We save ourselves the constant back and forth by bringing our own toilet for number 1s. The river was flat and calm this weekend and was perfectly cold for the hot days. The evenings were a buzz with people partying but everyone kept to the noise curfew which was really nice to see! Unfortunately no wombats, wallabies or giant lizards this time around. Just the peacocks and peachicks! All in all, I love Coolendel and this trip was no different. Can't wait to come back!

Expansive grounds for camping and camper trailers. Amenities included toilets and showers with hot water. The management were welcoming and articulated the camp rules clearly. The grounds were pristine, free of rubbish and the bins were cleared regularly. Firewood is somewhat pricey, so bring your own. There is a shop on site for essential items.

Great place for camping with clean toilets and hot shower. Have river along the camp area for kids to enjoy and the team are very helpful. We went during easter long weekend and they organised egg hunt for the kids which was enjoyed by all kids and adults. Only hiccups is the 20-30 minutes road leading to camp area, which is very narrow and dusty but also thrilling and no mobile network connection. Will definately visit this place again.

A beautiful place along the Shoal Haven River. The kind of place you wished you lover permanently. Have been so many times usually in the quieter months. Surrounded by mountains and situated on a bend in the Shoal Haven River, this camp ground has so many beautiful sites, grassy areas, river access and fire pits. Anything from a quiet and secluded campsite along side your vehicle, to more established areas for larger family’s. Limited to no reception which is fantastic! However may be wifi options now. (Would confirm, if that’s your jam) More than enough facilities like showers and toilets which a little bit of a walk for most sites that are away from the main camp area which is good for getting the steps in and enjoy the mass of wildlife that’s around. Like the wombats, kangaroos and peacocks that come to say Gday. There is a shop on site for some nicknacks and firewood available and the owners are the nicest people. Love this place and will always come back to stay and relax. Would recommend but also shouldn’t tell too many people 😉

Grady's Riverside Retreat is the perfect escape for those seeking a peaceful getaway immersed in nature. Nestled near the serene banks of the river, this retreat offers pet-friendly accommodations and a variety of amenities that cater to families. Visitors rave about their experiences here, highlighting its well-maintained facilities and friendly atmosphere. Families can enjoy activities like basketball, jumping pillows, and spacious grassy areas ideal for games or picnics.
We went back after about 12 years (i.e. first time since having kids, and it was our kids second camping trip). The campground is right on the Shoalhaven River. It was as good as we remembered. We had a non-powered site down by the river. Huge, and I mean huge, camp sites (equivalent to 2-3 sites at other camp grounds), on a beautiful grassy strip. Camp fires are allowed (fire restriction dependant), with each site having a fire pit drum. The amenities were in great condition. The new owners have made really good improvements, including a great playground with a jumping pillow, and an easily accessible beach for swimmers and paddlers. We spend the days paddle boarding up and down that stretch of river, swimming in the river, looking at the cows and llamas that live on the farms around the campground. The campground was silent by 11pm. We look forward to our next visit!!

We had a wonderful long weekend away at Gradys. If you're looking for some time away from the hustle and bustle and in Nature, then Grady's is for you. I went away with my sister and her little boy, who's 2. They camped near the amenities up top. It was close to the Cottage Collangata that i stayed in with my mum and my 7-year-old daughter. It was a perfect location close to the amenities and with a great view. I've been going to Grady's for over 7 years and the improvements in the park are amazing. They have done a lot to the cottages, new BBQ's, outdoor deck, and fire pit area. Not to mention the new camp kitchen and kids play area. My daughter had a great time exploring on her bike around the park. The new playground, jumping pillow, and basketball court were a massive hit for her and her 2yr old cousin. It's great because there is a fence around the area, so you don't need to worry that the kids will run off. It was so hot on the Sunday that we ended up spending it down at the river floating in the water while my 2-year-old nephew played in the sand. The rivers tidal, so we went down at low tide. Make sure you keep an eye on the current and it wouldn't hurt to pack some reef shoes. The best piece of advice I could give you is to pack your sunscreen and insect repellent like you would on any holiday in the bush or near water.

This is my review and thoughts about my recent stay at Grady's. - No mothers room to bath or toilet young children - Grass not mowed or gardens maintained - No water pressure in the shower or basins - Lots of flys be warned (cannot be helped but be prepared) - Not a kid friendly swimmer area, steep vertical slopes to reach the water - Lack of facilities for the price you pay - Speed limit around park not monitored therefore due to the gravel roads, the site is inundated with dust - Steep boat ramp - If you camp on the unpowered sites near the water, you have 24 steps to climb to go to the amenities - Toilet ratio to campers is not up to NSW standards - Layout of site PS9,PS7, PS8, PS10 are poorly designed, would benefit from spray painted areas or visible number signs All things considered, the neighbourhood properties with alpacas and cattle are lovely to see. A new style playground featuring a jumping pillow for children is a great idea. Excellent coffee. But unfortunately I'm disappointed that I had to write such a review.

bush camping feel but in a well maintained farm style camp ground, Alma the manager is so lovely and makes the best coffee! They have had so many upgrades since I was last here a year ago!

Proper camping! Grady's is a fantastic getaway nestled along Shoalhaven river. My husband and Icame here for the first time with our dogs and it's been lovely getting to take in all the nature. The bush surrounds are quite dense but the owners have maintained the park really well keeping with the areas vibes. The amenities and facilities all round are so nice for a campground, modern and clean not like the beige 90s set ups that are everywhere else. The managers are super nice too, so accommodating and friendly and super understanding with our questions about our 2 dogs we wanted to bring. 10/10 will be back!

Once again Gradys Riverside Retreat provides that true unique family farm/property stay! Managers Simon and Alma go out of their way to assist campers when they can. They were tirelessly cleaning the park, even during the peak period over xmas/new year and start of January. As this is a place for camping then expect the true'' outdoors. This means the challenges of Australian flies, heat, rain, wind but more importantly the unique serenity surrounding Shoalhaven River some wildlife, fire pits and bins per site, pet friendly, plenty of toilets and showers (these are busy at any camp ground at this time of the year), laundry and community book library. Simon would always say ''Hello'' and speaks with respect and manners and obviously takes pride in his job. The new playground which includes a mini basketball court, Putt Putt Golf, Jumping Pillow and playground is a must for the kids. (PS1-PS4 are great sites for this). The reception kiosk provides any last minute necessities like ice, fire wood, bread and milk. The swimming and SUPs in the river is beautiful and the kids love it.

Grady's Riverside Retreat is an absolute gem nestled along the tranquil banks of the river, where warmth and hospitality greet you from the moment you arrive. Meeting Simon and Elma, the heart and soul of this haven, was like encountering old friends – their genuine kindness and compassion set the tone for a perfect stay. From the immaculately clean facilities to the meticulously maintained grounds, every aspect of Grady's exudes excellence. The picturesque views of the river are simply breathtaking, creating an atmosphere that's nothing short of sensational. The well-kept landscaping adds to the charm, inviting you to linger and savor every moment. There's no shortage of activities to enjoy, whether it's kayaking along the gentle currents, embarking on scenic bush walks, or simply basking in the sunshine by the water's edge. And as the day winds down, gathering around the campfire to watch the sunset and await the moonrise is a magical experience that stays with you long after you've left. Behind the scenes, Simon and Elma work tirelessly to ensure every guest feels welcomed and cared for, from maintaining the grounds to managing the office with grace and efficiency. Their dedication is truly commendable and adds an extra layer of warmth to the retreat. My time at Grady's Riverside Retreat was nothing short of perfect, and I know I speak for myself and my friend when I say we'll be returning as soon as possible. It's rare to find a place that feels like home from the moment you arrive, but Grady's has that special touch that keeps you coming back for more. Thank you, Simon and Elma, for creating such a haven of hospitality – we can't wait to visit again soon. Once again I absolutely love the place and you guys make it happen Reg Mick & Al SHLands

Enjoy outdoor adventures like kayaking on the serene Kangaroo River beneath the historic Hampden Bridge or exploring local history at Pioneer Village. The park features excellent amenities including a playground, basketball court, barbecue facilities, and dog-friendly options for those traveling with pets.
We recently stayed in the Barrengarry cabin. It was perfect for our little family. The cabin was well presented and very clean. It exceeded our expectations. The price was great, not too expensive. The park is well maintained and in such a convenient location next to the historic bridge. It’s not a big park which is pleasant and it was still relatively quiet even though the park was fully booked at the time of our stay. The kids played in the playground and chess, We hired kayaks at reception and went down the river. This was a great activity to do. It wasn’t too far to walk/ride into the village and we found a pump track a short ride away. The management were lovely. The young lady in reception was very friendly. A highlight for our kids were the wombats they got to see in the park. Thank you for a lovely getaway.

It was ok. The powered sites are as far away from the amenities and river as can be. But close to the noise from the main road, construction across the road sent me mad during the day. Internet isn’t great drops out a lot and only 5gb a day No grey water pipe to plug into It’s a fair walk down to the river, exhausting carrying everything up and down. It’s close to town which is convenient but really needs toilets at both ends of the park. Ok if passing through hut wouldn’t stay more than a day or two and don’t bring kayaks it’s way too far and steep to carry them

Had a great time at this park. I loved how close it was to the river - a less than five-minute walk, and you're ready to swim! We stayed in a cabin near the front, and it was lovely. Everything was clean and staff were super helpful and friendly. Would definitely stay again.

This park has beautiful trees for shade and is lovely during the summer time but that's its biggest downfall in winter and the rainy weather, it takes days for this park to dry out after any rain and especially after a few days of rain it turns into a mud pit around the equipment from the heavy use this park receives.

🌿 Stunning Views Near Nowra! 🌿 Jerrawangala National Park Lookout is an absolute gem. The sweeping views of the surrounding landscape are breathtaking, and it’s amazing to have such a beautiful spot so close to Nowra. The track in is a bit bumpy, so I’d recommend a 4WD — it wouldn’t be ideal for a 2WD. Perfect for a peaceful walk, a quick escape, or just soaking in the scenery. A must-visit if you’re in the area! 🌄✨

Great day slow trekking around the National Park. Headed along Wandean Rd and up to the lookout. Few puddles along the way which needed to be driven through. Beautiful day with no one else around. Had lunch at the lookout and walked around a bit. Can't see why there are no bins provided by the park hence why no 5 star rating. I picked up cans, bottles and a few plastic bags and took them with me. On the way home I took a few different fire trails. Nice to be out of suburbia for a while.

Budawang National Park is a rugged and isolated wilderness area known for its steep peaks, lush forests, and diverse wildlife. The park is home to black cockatoos, wallabies, and shallow rivers. It features the prominent Mount Budawang, which derives its name from the Aboriginal word 'Buddawong'. While offering interesting hiking paths with great views, it can be challenging to navigate due to unclear markings.

Very interesting hiking path, but not easy to find the way, be careful about it, dont be over confident about the time. I spent too much time in finding ways back. It's impossible to find the way back when it is dark, because there is no way at all. You have to check the red arrows on the rocks and color ribbon on branches to find the right direction. But in the night, your head torch can only light on spots which makes it much much more difficult to find the way. So start early, especially for the winter, avoid night walk. There is a nice cave at the half way which can be used to stay over.night

We spent a few nights bushwalking up the castle and back. Fantastic walk with great views but be careful as the path isnt clearly marked in a few spots towards the top. There is a visitors book if you keep walking towards the far end of the plateau facing mount pigeon house

Nestled along the picturesque Crookhaven River, Greenwell Point Foreshore Reserve is a delightful destination for families seeking a fun-filled day outdoors. With stunning views extending to Orient Point, this reserve offers an inviting atmosphere where children can play on newly upgraded equipment featuring swings and climbing structures. The foreshore walk is perfect for little ones riding their bikes while also attracting dog owners enjoying leisurely strolls with their furry friends.
The kids absolutely love going here, they have the best time and never want to leave. There is also seating and a walk along the foreshore which is great for little ones with bikes, plus attracts a lot of pet owners with their doggies, too my little ones delight has her squealing with joy as they walk past on their adventure. This park gets busy on a weekend and school holidays as the spot is just divine in the sunshine over looking the water and makes for a beautiful day 🥰

Excellent place for a day out enjoying the sun and sea. Kids and families found picnicking. Pelicans, parrots and some other seabirds like seagulls and coormorants were found around the shore providing lots of photo opportunities. Fishing was another common activity done thereat. Wonderful serene area that shouldn't be missed.

Honeymoon Bay is a charming crescent-shaped inlet in Jervis Bay, offering a picturesque setting for picnics and snorkeling. Accessible to the public on weekends and holidays, this spot boasts rocky ledges and kelpy shallows that provide excellent snorkeling opportunities with various marine species visible at mid-high tide. The area also offers calm waters for swimming and exploring the surrounding rocks.
Honeymoon Bay in Freycinet National Park is such great spot. It’s within Tasmania’s stunning national park system and is a little slice of paradise that feels almost too beautiful to be real. The highlight is undoubtedly the clear and bright teal water. I couldn’t believe the color of the water. This spot is the ultimate lunch spot. We packed simple sandwiches and ate amongst the begging seagulls. We sat on some of the smooth rocks and soaked in the serene atmosphere. The weather was perfect—crisp and sunny.
Sara G — Google review
Nice beach with calm waters and rocks to explore. Access is fairly easy but you have to drive through a boom gate as it is part of a military zone. Unfortunately, the water was very mirky when I came, most likely due to heavy rain. You may be fortunate enough to see wild kanagaroos randomly pop up. The only down sides are there are no fresh water facilities to wash yourself with, as well as only being portable toilets. Other than those, am sure you'll love it here.
BadulaJohnson — Google review
An absolutely spectacular little beach. Great for all water based activities: kayaking, paddle boarding, snorkelling, fishing and rock pooling! A beautiful little campsite which is open most weekends and holiday periods. Definitely a beach not to miss when visiting the Beecroft Peninsula (make sure it is open before driving around by checking Facebook page or calling the Beecroft Ranger Station). Enjoy and please look after this little beauty.
