Osh Bazaar is a bustling and iconic market in Bishkek, offering a wide array of goods including food, clothing, musical instruments, wooden trunks, souvenirs, and more. Visitors can immerse themselves in the local flavors and aromas while exploring rows of stalls brimming with local produce, spices, and meat products. The market provides an opportunity to experience the vibrant local life through its colorful displays.
It was raining during my visit and there weren’t proper shelters on the outer stalls of the bazaar. Great array of local products. Enjoyed my visit.
Kah L — Google review
A huge and busy but interesting market in Bishkek. Loads of things for sale: household, clothing, food. One could spend a long time browsing if time permitted.
James C — Google review
Mostly selling food stuffs like fresh fruit, spices, but also some electronics and shoes. Food looks fresh and hygienic. No flies.
Lawrence H — Google review
A must-visit in Bishkek! Osh Bazaar is a vibrant, bustling market full of local flavor and culture. From fresh produce and spices to traditional crafts and street food, it’s the perfect place to experience everyday Kyrgyz life. Great for souvenir shopping and people-watching. Just be ready to bargain and soak in the atmosphere!

An exuberant display of Kyrgyzstan’s best food, a sight to behold with so much to explore. Excellent quality, friendly people , and very reasonable prices. A true foodie paradise. A highlight of our stay in Bishkek. Highly recommended for any tourist.

Traditional bazaar with everything in your mind. The best thing is spices, tea, cookies, fruits, crafts, and clothes. Also, meat and chicken, also some of the traditional local meals. Generally, it's good and must visit in Bishkek.

Park
Nature & Parks
Panfilov Park is a historic green space in Bishkek, featuring walking paths, a central fountain, and amusement park rides. The park is also home to the Zoological Museum and offers an interesting experience with its Soviet-era amusement park. In addition to the park's attractions, visitors can explore other outdoor sights such as Bishkek's Oak Park.
We walked through this park on 10 Sept 2025 at 11.30am. It has an adjoining amusement park. At the entrance the statue of Ivan Panfilov (Hero of the Soviet Union, and the chairman of the Military Committee of the Kirghiz SSR ) stands tall, thus this Park is named Panfilov Park. The Park is well maintained, there are plenty of benches for resting, animal statues besides walkways for photo takings and has an adjoining Amusement Park with kiddies playground , big ferry wheels , slides & rides and many dining options. We did walked into the Park Tyubeteyka Chaykhana Restaurant for lunch. The Park to me is mainly for kids or teenagers but it is a nice park to take walks and spend some relaxing time !!!
Susan C — Google review
The park bears the name after one Soviet Union commander Ivan Panfilov. It’s located near the old square in the capital city of Kyrgyzstan Bishkek. A great place to chill with friends and families especially with kids. Many rides, dining options and fountains.
Abu F — Google review
Quite a noisy place with old attractions—some of them look like they’re straight out of Soviet times. It’s okay for a quick walk-through or maybe one ride on the big sightseeing wheel, but honestly, I’d recommend skipping it. For a more impressive view, head up into the hills on the edge of the city—you’ll get a much better panorama.
Darius R — Google review
I might have visited at the wrong time, as the park was closed during my trip. Compared to Panfilov Park in Almaty, this one could use more improvements and upkeep to reach its full potential. That said, it’s still a pleasant spot with plenty of space and greenery, and it has the charm of a local park where people can relax and enjoy the outdoors. With some enhancements, it could become an even more inviting destination in Bishkek.
Vermaiine — Google review
Brilliant park. If you’re there when the weather is good, take the ferris wheel for amazing views of the city. I’m not usually a fan bit this was safe and serene. Lots of fun rides and so affordable! Brilliant to be amongst local people having fun.
Lizzie S — Google review
Although the park is beautiful, it has several drawbacks: - There are no paths and no commitment to any games. - It is very late until the game starts. - Prices are completely different from what is known.
Hassan — Google review

Ala Too Square is a spacious and vibrant public square located in the heart of Bishkek, serving as a focal point for various events and gatherings. The square is adorned with striking monuments and structures, including the State History Museum and the iconic Manas Statue. Visitors can enjoy the sight of beautiful fountains, colorful flower beds, and benches where locals gather to relax. Surrounding the square are impressive buildings with golden domes, creating a picturesque backdrop against the Ala Too mountain range.
A great vibrant place to enjoy. At night, all decorated and colorful fountains work with music. Many locals come and spend great time. Well maintained area. Very close to many vital ministries so well secured. Victory Day Military Parade we’re celebrated during my visit to Kyrgyzstan
Abu F — Google review
Biggest, cleanest and most well-known square in all of Kyrgyzstan I guess. Lot of space, guard of honor under big flagpole, nes statue of hero Manas. If you are in Bishkek, this is your number 1 stop!
Tomáš B — Google review
Located in the center of the capital, it is the place where holidays are held and history is made. The state flag of Kyrgyzstan, 10 × 15 meters in size, is fluttering above the square on a 45-meter flagpole There is also a bronze monument to Manas the Magnanimous, the hero of the famous Kyrgyz epic. Behind it is the National History Museum. On the right hand is the "White House", built in 1985, which had been the official residence of the President of Kyrgyzstan for many years. Under the square is a huge underground bunker, which was built in Soviet times for the leadership of the republic. Exhibitions are held there from time to time. Fountains are flowing and flowers are blooming on the square. If you look at the flowerbeds from a bird's eye view, you can see traditional Kyrgyz ornaments they form. A pleasant place to visit and certainly not to be missed if you're in Bishkek.
Susan C — Google review
Bishkek's central square. There is a large fountain, and the atmosphere is lively. Plenty of food options nearby, too. People were just relaxing, and kids were playing in the fountain. Nice to sit, and people watch.
James C — Google review
An unbelievable intro to Bishkek. An old soviet feel with beautiful buildings and amazing atmosphere. The soviet-sounding covers of pop songs blasting through speakers was amazing.
Louis S — Google review
I loved this place in the heart of Bishkek, here's why: Ala‑Too Square is the pulse of Bishkek an open-air stage for sovereignty, protest, celebration, memory, and everyday life. Its statues, fountains, and flags tell the story of Kyrgyzstan’s journey from a Soviet republic to a proud independent nation. Considering its rich symbolism, political resonance, and vibrant everyday use, Ala‑Too Square is much more than a city centre it’s the beating heart of a nation's identity.
Wasim A — Google review
Ala-Too Square is the main square of Bishkek and truly the cultural and political heart of Kyrgyzstan. Built in 1984 to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the Kyrgyz Soviet Socialist Republic, it was originally named “Lenin Square.” After independence in 1991, it was renamed Ala-Too Square, symbolizing the majestic mountain range that defines Kyrgyzstan’s identity. The square is surrounded by important landmarks, including the State History Museum and the National Philharmonic. At its center once stood a large Lenin statue (now moved to a nearby park), replaced first by a statue of “Erkindik” (Freedom), and later by the current Manas statue, honoring the legendary national hero. The square is not only a historic space but also a living part of Bishkek’s daily life. You’ll often see families strolling, children playing, and cultural performances happening. On special occasions like Independence Day (August 31) and Victory Day (May 9), the square becomes a stage for parades, concerts, and fireworks, making it the best place to feel the country’s spirit. One of the highlights is the changing of the guards in front of the Kyrgyz flag, which adds a ceremonial touch to the visit. At night, the square is beautifully lit, giving it a festive yet peaceful atmosphere. 📍 Tip: Visit around sunset when the backdrop of the Ala-Too mountains glows pink—it’s a stunning sight and a great photo spot!
Nuwan S — Google review
The central square of Bishkek. Honestly, nothing interesting to see. Also, there are no real and comfortable cafés to sit and relax front of the square. The area more lively and beautiful at the evening.

Victory Square, built in 1985 to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the end of WWII, is a poignant memorial honoring Kyrgyz soldiers who lost their lives in the war. The central monument features a woman standing over an eternal flame, symbolizing the waiting for loved ones who will never return from battle. Three red granite pillars represent a yurt, and the square serves as both a historical site and a popular meeting point in Bishkek.
Victory Square is a great spot to explore. One of the main highlights while in Bishkek. Located in great location. Reflects Soviet victory in WWII. Nice tent top shape with eternal fire in the middle. Many gardens and monuments. Definitely there is a story behind each and every one. A lot of flowers in astonishing shape. Many people come to sit and visit. Plenty of restaurants and hotels nearby.
Abu F — Google review
Cool place in the city centre. Here it was more people than other places. It was vibrant and cheerful. Kids playing, couples having dates. This is a big square, but it is easy to get orientated. They also sell the most random stuff in kiosks around here. Recommend visiting this place
Benjamin B — Google review
Victory Square is a beautiful and historic place to visit. The monument at the center is striking, and the surrounding area is well-maintained with plenty of green space to relax and take in the views. It’s a peaceful spot to reflect and enjoy the atmosphere, with a lot of history behind it. The only downside is that it can be a bit quiet, which might make it feel less vibrant at times. Still, it’s a great place for a stroll and offers a meaningful connection to the past. I’d definitely recommend stopping by!
Khuram S — Google review
Some building works in the distance (north) if you want a photo. Not a huge amount to see. Within walking distance of Ala-Too Square. Some nice flower beds
Colin R — Google review
Victory Square is more than just a memorial—it’s a living part of Bishkek’s cultural identity. Whether you’re drawn by its symbolic architecture, its historical weight, or just seeking a peaceful moment in the city center, it offers both reflection and connection. The intertwining of national pride, cultural memory, and everyday urban life makes it a must-visit site in Bishkek.
Nuwan S — Google review
Victory Square is one of Bishkek’s most iconic landmarks, dedicated to honoring those who served during World War II. The centerpiece is a striking monument symbolizing a yurt with an eternal flame, creating a powerful atmosphere of remembrance and respect. The square is spacious, well-kept, and surrounded by greenery, making it a pleasant place for reflection or a quiet walk. Its central location also makes it easy to include when exploring nearby attractions. Visiting Victory Square offers both a glimpse into Kyrgyz history and a moment of peaceful pause in the heart of the city.
Vermaiine — Google review
Victory Square in Bishkek is a solemn and powerful tribute to Kyrgyzstan’s role in World War II. Established in 1985 to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the Allied victory, the square features a striking monument composed of three red granite arches forming the shape of a yurt—a traditional Kyrgyz dwelling. Beneath these arches stands a bronze statue of a woman, symbolizing the mothers and wives who awaited the return of their loved ones from the war . At the heart of the square burns the Eternal Flame, honoring the memory of the soldiers who sacrificed their lives.

Victory monument commemorating the war from 1941 to 1945 . There is a statue of the mother who is waiting for her son to return from battle with a cup of water. There is an eternal flame in the centre and a garden surrounding the statue. There are some activities in the evening during the summer.

Museum
The State History Museum in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, underwent a lengthy renovation before finally opening its doors to the public. The museum is dedicated to preserving the rich culture and history of Kyrgyzstan, showcasing artifacts from prehistoric times to the country's struggle for independence during the Soviet era. Divided into three floors, visitors can explore the formation and development of Kyrgyzstan through a well-organized display of fascinating artifacts.
Beautiful museum. Entry fee is 200 for adults, payable by cash or card. Elevators available to go to upper floors if need be. Many historical artifacts from different eras. There's even a yurt on display! Great place to spend an hour or more. Only downsides are that some employees were watching videos or their phone with loud volume, and some parts of the exposition are only in Kyrgyz and Russian (I used Google translate with camera for those). Other than that, I highly recommend.
Danny Q — Google review
If you want to dive in Kyrgyzstan's history this place is a good start. Some showcases are not allowed to take a picture. Look signs posted next to it, like Gold accessories etc. In general beautiful Soviet type of museum.
Secret V — Google review
Good exhibition, terrible staff. There’s no sign saying no photos (only no flash) but the staff didn’t allow me to take photos even with my phone. I hope the museum can clarify the relevant rules, If it is clear that taking photos is not allowed, please provide relevant notices. The staff told me that I couldn't take pictures with my camera, so I turned off the camera and took pictures with my phone. After I took pictures with my phone for a while, they told me that I couldn't take pictures of just one cultural relic, but had to take pictures of the whole scene. After I took pictures of the whole scene(like p3), they told me that I couldn't take any picture with my phone at all…But I just did what the staff asked me to do? ?Some staff members also said that they were suspicious of us because we spent too much time looking at the third floor. But why can’t I just interested in the ancient period so spend 2 or more hours on this part? I wonder can't museum lovers just enjoy the museum? I don't understand why the staff themselves think their museum is not worth spending a long time in. This might explain why the level of historical research in Kyrgyzstan is not high.(From the comments, you can see that many people took photos.) Further more, there‘s some small mistakes in the explanation board. And the staff has been playing the video out loud without headphone. btw, the museum is open until 8pm, not 6.
Unei C — Google review
At Ala-Too behind "Monument of Man" we saw The State Historical Museum (National Historical Museum). Entry fee is 200KGS. It was founded in 1925 and contains exhibits that tell about the history of nomadic peoples from the Stone Age to the present day. There are expositions that date back to the Migration Period, the culture and everyday life of the nomads, traditional handicrafts & musical instruments used to make their folk music. There are various photograph s and documents citing on the formation & development of the Kyrgyz Soviet Societ Republic. A section contains ancient manuscripts of the Quran. There are many amazing things in the Historical Museum, i was told by one staff who could speak a little English wooden statues of horses is worth €17,000 . Many its collections are included in the World Cultural Heritage list. Lots of see, plenty to discover in this Museum which is classified as one of the largest museums in Central Asia !!

At last I can read the name of the museum in English over here. A must visit while in Kyrgyzstan. The National Museum is the place to see the history of the country from ancient eras till present. Entry is 200 som and it has 5 levels. Many people to escort. Old mud jars, coins, traditional dresses, military instruments, jewelry, tent with interiors, horses, famous characters, headwear for ladies and much more. At least 2 hours needs to cover most of the sections.

Be it clothes, shoes, jewellery, electronics, anything you can ask for. • Great for playing games, lunch/ dinner, and leisure time, etc. • comfortable environment. 🔴 Cons - • It gets crowded especially in evening rush hours. When visiting Bishkek, one cannot miss the enchanting Kyrgyz State Circus named A. Izibaev, a captivating venue that has been entertaining audiences since its establishment in 1976. Nestled on Frunze Street, this architectural gem boasts a unique dome resembling an inverted bowl adorned with distinctive folds. The circus hosts both local and international performers, showcasing thrilling acts that delight visitors of all ages.
Great experience in Bishkek! Full of children but Funny also for adults

The Kyrgyz State Circus, also known as A. Izibaev Circus, is a striking example of Soviet-era architecture. Its UFO-like design stands out against the urban backdrop of Bishkek, making it a unique landmark. The building's modernist style is both nostalgic and impressive, reflecting the era's bold architectural vision. While I only had the chance to appreciate the exterior, it's evident that the structure has undergone renovations to maintain its distinctive appearance. The surrounding area is well-kept, and the plaza offers a pleasant space to admire the building. It's a must-see for architecture enthusiasts and anyone interested in Soviet-era design.

(Translated by Google) The circus in Bishkek is located in a building built in 1976. Its central facade with the main entrance faces Frunze Street. Both “local” and invited circus groups, including world-famous stars, show their programs here. The circus building is a typical circus shape, but has distinctive features. Its dome looks like an overturned bowl with characteristic folds formed by unique prefabricated sections. To manufacture them, it was necessary to develop and create a unique formwork. It is noteworthy that a copy of such a section was made for VDNKh and was exhibited in the Construction pavilion for several years.

Military Museums
Located near Ala-Too Square in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, the M V Frunze Museum is a top attraction offering a deep dive into the country's history. The museum features military exhibits covering USSR history and the life of Mikhail Frunze, after whom the capital was originally named. Visitors can explore galleries showcasing war and maritime artifacts as well as traditional attire.
Didn’t visit the inside as it was closed but I loved the facades of the building!! Walk around to see Al the sides!

This museum, commemorating Mikhail Frunze, opened for the first time in December 1925, on the same site of the house where he was born, house that was actually built by his own father. Frunze was a Soviet revolutionary, politician and army officer, very highly respected back then. In 1926, the capital city of Bishkek was actually renamed Frunze in his honour. Numerous streets and parks were named after him and also the most prestigious military academy in Moscow. His life and death actually gave him a mythical aura, so you should find out more about him

Good museum with super interesting exhibits but I do agree that it could use a little more background information as it is just pieces of illustrations and pictures with short literal descriptions. Entry is 100som.

Such an old Soviet museum probably haven't renewed for years and you can sense that old Soviet museum aesthetic incredibly. What's that aesthetic though? Babushkas, oh my oh my, sweet babushkas. If you visited an old museum in any ex-Soviet country and you noticed only couple of old aunties running the place, now that's what I would call a museum. Frunze Museum has the best stuff, especially one lady talk me through Frunze's birth-house was really interested about her job. Well museum is old, that's true, don't even try to compare it with the State Museum but truth be told, State Museum doesn't have that sincerity. Only thing I would complain is English information being really really limited.
Mert D — Google review
This is the most depressing museum that I've ever seen. Most of the lighting doesn't work; everything is quite old and run-down. Even the bathroom has no paper in it! About half of the displays have brief English descriptions. It is necessary to read the Wikipedia page to understand the importance of this figure in Soviet history. This small museum does him no justice, and is not worth the 150 som admission price for foreigners!
James M — Google review
A typically somber Soviet-style museum. If you're into that aesthetic, it's worth a visit. Entry is 150 Kyrgyz Som per person (about $1.50 USD). The exhibition begins on the third floor and mainly features artifacts related to Frunze. The second floor is "temporarily" closed (which, in Soviet terms, means permanently closed). On the ground floor, there's a reproduction of the house where Frunze was born — which is actually quite interesting. Some exhibit descriptions are in English, while others are not. Officially, payment is by card only, but we paid in cash since we didn't have a card with us, and it wasn't a problem.
Michele M — Google review
Personally, I really enjoyed this museum as I have prior interest in and knowledge of the USSR and the 1917 revolutions. The reason this museum doesn’t get a higher score is because without any prior understanding of who Frunze is or the historical context, you may be lost, as the museum is a collection of pictures and artefacts, rather than a museum with lots of information and long explanations of historical events as you may be used to. It’s also worth mentioning that this museum has an interesting façade, which makes the visit worthwhile itself. I’d still definitely recommend this place, just do some research first and you’ll have a much better experience.

As someone who lives very close to this park, I appreciate its location, convenience, and beauty. It’s a little bit of nature in the heart of a busy city. There are plenty of benches to rest and take in the beauty. There are a couple of areas where you can exercise on the park equipment. I don’t have a dog due to personal reasons, but I enjoy seeing people with their dogs here exercising them. I would like to see the city put a little more into maintaining this park, but it’s a selfish desire due to proximity.

The park offers facilities like benches and seating areas, making it the ideal destination for those who appreciate nature. Visitors can enjoy the natural views and serene atmosphere while strolling around the park or admiring the plentiful trees and water ponds.
I think the traditional name is Dubovy Park. But it is very nice to find this as it is very peaceful particularly as it is located right in the middle of the busy city of Bishkek. So after exploring the Central Square and the Parliament buildings this is a nice retreat and particularly lovely with the trees.

Another of Bishkeks amazing parks which seem to lead into each other. I love the green in this city. The city municipality have done a great job with these parks. Oak park is really cool for it's sculptures. There are many. Sit in the shade, have a picnic and watch the hours slip by.

90+ sculptures, most of them seem to tell tales of how horses have always been an integral part of their lifestyle. Beautiful ambience with colourful flowers, comforting canopies, creative sculptures, and pigeons… A humble suggestion that the fountains could look better if maintained well.

Oak Park is a beautiful green space in the heart of Bishkek, offering a refreshing escape from the busy city. While the park could benefit from better maintenance and improvements for tourism, nature itself makes the place truly charming. The tall oak trees, sculptures, and open paths create a peaceful atmosphere perfect for walking, relaxing, or simply enjoying the outdoors. It’s a spot that shows the city’s natural beauty and is worth a visit.

The park is big enough. We went there in the end of October'19, it was cold outside. There were just about 5 visitors and that's it. It is called a park, but it looks like more forest. Nothing interesting and beautiful, children didn't want to stay there as couldn't find any toys or playground. Just trees were nice with colourful leaves and the new benchs/tables waiting for the visitors. I think this park is not so popular among the livers of Bishkek. Victory Park in Bishkek is a spacious public square commemorating the triumph over Nazi Germany during WWII. Its main attraction is a statue of a Kyrgyz woman patiently awaiting her husband's return from the war, complemented by an everlasting flame. Adjacent to her are three segments of crimson granite that come together above her in a tunduk formation, embellished with the Soviet hammer and sickle emblem at its center.
Another beautiful park to spend lazy Sundays in or to just walk through. Huge Soviet style memorial statues to honour fallen soldiers. A few food vendors all around for something to munch on.

Beautiful park for a walk. Not much to see or do but the flowers are beautiful and there are plenty of benches for resting. Saw some people painting.
Jennifer B — Google review
Now that's a huge park, even when you check it from the Maps you can see that and when you get there you will be sure about it's size. Lots of forest paths to walk and get a fresh air, usually it's quite and calm. For the historic and monumental side of the park, well it's dedicated to the Kyrgyz Army and you can see tons of posters and small statues for the army. Don't confuse the park with the Victory Square, this one is located in the South and also known as Dair Asamov Park who was the one of the last Soviet heroes of Kyrgyzstan.

There is a rope park, but I didn’t have time to check it out, it looks fun. If you go there after the rain prepare to walk through many tiny ponds and the dirt. Visitors can enjoy the lush greenery, serene ambience, and ample space for outdoor activities such as cycling or walking with family and friends.
Quiet woodland oasis in a busy city. Even in winter interesting wildlife

Great place. I visited in June 2022. Very clean air and a wonderful space to jog or go cycling. The smaller northern part of the park has more people walking along the paths and picnicking in the lawns. The larger southern part of the park past the new road has fewer people and is better for running. Better to take a phone and stick to the paths along the perimeter of the park. The site is not well-maintained and some of the interior paths are overgrown with bees. (There is an apiary in the southern part of the park, so be careful.) Overall, I highly recommend if you are looking for a safe, quiet, clean place to run in Bishkek away from vehicular traffic.

Located in central Bishkek it is a nice peaceful place for a quite stroll. Trees and ambience are a break from touring and sightseeing.

It’s hard to recommend this place, it feels abandoned and it’s very dirty. Plastic bottles and used toilet paper is a common view here. It’s a huge area and due to long, straight walk pads it can be attractive for runners/joggers. From time to time you can see mother’s with children taking a walk.

It is very big garden which is spread out on a very large area There are many different kinds of Plants, Trees and Flowers in this beautiful garden. You will find Greenery everywhere which gives charm and peace to eyes and brain. The gardeners work hard to maintain its beauty It has different jogging tracks & A lot of people come in evening for jogging. At Evening , there is a great hustle and bustle because of cute Children and beautiful Girls. There are some trees of Fruits like apricot and you can eat them free of cost There is a great system of water for plants. In reality, I have fallen in love with this beautiful garden.. Now a days, I am going regularly there and do jogging... Dr.M.M.H

To take this garden to another level a lot of reconstruction work needed to be done. Hopefully the city administration will find out the way to make it happen.

Great for walks and running, biking with kids in search of fresh air. However the infrastructure is lacking funds and investment.

At SMagic, the enchantment comes alive with delightful performances featuring beloved characters like Santa Claus and Alice in Wonderland. Children can engage with their favorite heroes while enjoying thrilling shows that spark their imagination. The venue also boasts a vibrant games room where families can bond over fun activities, all under the attentive care of friendly staff members like Aidan and Alisher, who are dedicated to creating memorable experiences for every visitor.
(Translated by Google) I liked the games room, you can have fun playing with children, they also have a children's show with animators. The attitude of the staff is very good. I especially want to highlight employee AIDAN. She knows her business 100%, I was convinced of this myself. The way she treats children and visitors only encourages them to visit the game room again. Thank you AIDANochka.❤️ (Original)

Ala Archa National Park, located just 30 minutes outside of Bishkek, is a stunning natural destination in Kyrgyzstan. Established in 1976, the park covers 194 square kilometers and features mountains, waterfalls, glaciers, and forests. It's an ideal spot for hiking and immersing oneself in the breathtaking nature of the Tian Shan Mountains. Visitors can join affordable tours or explore the park independently.
Visiting Ala Archa National Park in winter was an absolutely magical experience! Just a 40-minute drive from Bishkek, this stunning alpine park transforms into a breathtaking snowy paradise during the colder months. The snow-covered peaks of the Tien Shan mountains and the frozen streams create a serene, almost surreal atmosphere that’s perfect for nature lovers and adventure seekers alike. I hiked the easy trail to the Ak-Sai waterfall, which was partially frozen and absolutely gorgeous, surrounded by sparkling snow. The paths were well-marked, though a bit slippery, so good winter boots and trekking poles are a must. The crisp air and quiet beauty of the park in winter made it feel like stepping into a postcard. For those seeking more adventure, the steeper trails like the one to Ratsek Hut offered incredible views, though they’re more challenging in the snow. The entrance fee (around 80 som for foreigners) is very affordable, and the park was peaceful with fewer visitors than in summer. There’s a small café near the entrance for warming up with hot tea or lagman, which was a perfect way to end the trip. Ala Archa in winter is a must-visit for anyone near Bishkek looking for a stunning, budget-friendly outdoor escape!

Stunning!!! You can get here easily from Bishkek in a taxi and then you get a bus included with the entry price that takes you directly into the national park! The views are insane & some really good hiking trails.
Amanda W — Google review
Breathtaking national park. I definitely recommend it. I appreciate the shuttle bus from the entrance to the park center. It's just a pity that they started building a luxury resort there, which is somewhat destroying this virgin nature
Vojtěch D — Google review
New modern entrance to park, you can get here by car, taxi or bus from city center. Also, there is big white bus which can take you back to the city for 50 som (1:30h, can be really overcrowded!). You can buy ticket from the machine by card or in cash, there are options to buy water/sweets/food. From here, smaller bus will take you all the way to the park main area.
Tomáš B — Google review
This is an incredibly beautiful and very large historical park. There are squirrels, birds, and horses inside. When you get hungry, there are local dishes, coffee, and various other drinks available. The entrance fee is only 150 SOM per person. After entering, free buses take you up to the top. There is one market where you can buy your necessities and purchase different nuts to feed the squirrels. It's a great place for horseback riding. There are many different rest areas and it's ideal for taking a break and enjoying yourself by the beautiful river. When you finish the entire tour, if you're hungry, there are some very nice restaurants where you can eat trout, just a 3-4 minute taxi ride away.
Erdem D — Google review
The national park is only 30 mins from Bishek, and attracts a lot of tourists. Suggest walking deep into the park so that you can enjoy the River, water fall and walk. Most tourists stop near the entry of gate and picnic and avoid going deep due to hiking. If you are game to hike and walk around 5 to 10 km you can see amassing views.
GAURAV C — Google review
A truly beautiful and relaxing place. You can watch and feed friendly birds and red squirrels — a lovely experience close to nature!

Amazing sceneries with easy hike. We walked around for two and a half hours on paved road. Must visit for those that come to Bishkek as it’s only one hour drive. The one hour drive is also very pleasant.

Issyk-Ata water fall is a picturesque destination that offers a serene and beautiful experience. The journey to the waterfall may require some effort, as the road is currently under construction, but the natural beauty makes it worthwhile. During winter, visitors can witness the stunning sight of the waterfall surrounded by ice, creating a mesmerizing scene with water flowing beneath. In summer, the resort area becomes lush and green, providing a refreshing atmosphere for visitors to enjoy.

(Translated by Google) My trip to the Isyk-Ata resort left me with an unforgettable experience. I had previously visited this place in winter and enjoyed bathing in the hot springs, which was truly amazing. However, today I went here with my colleagues for team building. The weather was clear, and the resort itself was green and very beautiful. The air was clean and fresh, and there were many people around me who were also enjoying bathing in the warm springs. After that, they went to the mountains to see the waterfall. My colleagues and I decided to walk to this waterfall. The road turned out to be winding, with many ups and downs, and the car could not drive all the way to the waterfall. However, despite the difficulties of travel, I had no doubt that it would be worth it. Climbing up the narrow path into the gorge, I enjoyed the sounds of the stream and the singing of birds that surrounded me. These sounds gave me additional energy and inspiration to continue the journey. After traveling for an hour and a half, I finally reached the waterfall. The view of the waterfall was simply breathtaking. Powerful jets of water fell from a height, creating a cool wind and a pleasant atmosphere. The feeling of coolness and refreshment when I stood next to the waterfall was simply indescribable. I was incredibly glad that I overcame all the difficulties and was able to see this wonderful natural object with my own eyes. It was truly a magical place that filled me with energy and admiration. Overall, the trip to the Isyk-Ata resort was an amazing and memorable experience for me. Not only did I get the opportunity to relax and enjoy nature, but also to spend time with my colleagues.

It was very beautiful when we were there when it was very cold and almost everything was under ice. It was also beautiful. You can feel the water flowing under the ice. The sounds are mesmerizing. The mountain background is also beautiful. We have to work hard to get the sun (Original) В воскресные дни когда не работает мед персонал можно потихоньку дойти до водопада.
