Traditional bazaar with everything in your mind. The best thing is spices, tea, cookies, fruits, crafts, and clothes. Also, meat and chicken, also some of the traditional local meals. Generally, it's good and must visit in Bishkek.

The park bears the name after one Soviet Union commander Ivan Panfilov. It’s located near the old square in the capital city of Kyrgyzstan Bishkek. A great place to chill with friends and families especially with kids. Many rides, dining options and fountains.

Quite a noisy place with old attractions—some of them look like they’re straight out of Soviet times. It’s okay for a quick walk-through or maybe one ride on the big sightseeing wheel, but honestly, I’d recommend skipping it. For a more impressive view, head up into the hills on the edge of the city—you’ll get a much better panorama.

I might have visited at the wrong time, as the park was closed during my trip. Compared to Panfilov Park in Almaty, this one could use more improvements and upkeep to reach its full potential. That said, it’s still a pleasant spot with plenty of space and greenery, and it has the charm of a local park where people can relax and enjoy the outdoors. With some enhancements, it could become an even more inviting destination in Bishkek.

Brilliant park. If you’re there when the weather is good, take the ferris wheel for amazing views of the city. I’m not usually a fan bit this was safe and serene. Lots of fun rides and so affordable! Brilliant to be amongst local people having fun.

Although the park is beautiful, it has several drawbacks: - There are no paths and no commitment to any games. - It is very late until the game starts. - Prices are completely different from what is known.

Biggest, cleanest and most well-known square in all of Kyrgyzstan I guess. Lot of space, guard of honor under big flagpole, nes statue of hero Manas. If you are in Bishkek, this is your number 1 stop!

Located in the center of the capital, it is the place where holidays are held and history is made. The state flag of Kyrgyzstan, 10 × 15 meters in size, is fluttering above the square on a 45-meter flagpole There is also a bronze monument to Manas the Magnanimous, the hero of the famous Kyrgyz epic. Behind it is the National History Museum. On the right hand is the "White House", built in 1985, which had been the official residence of the President of Kyrgyzstan for many years. Under the square is a huge underground bunker, which was built in Soviet times for the leadership of the republic. Exhibitions are held there from time to time. Fountains are flowing and flowers are blooming on the square. If you look at the flowerbeds from a bird's eye view, you can see traditional Kyrgyz ornaments they form. A pleasant place to visit and certainly not to be missed if you're in Bishkek.

Cool place in the city centre. Here it was more people than other places. It was vibrant and cheerful. Kids playing, couples having dates. This is a big square, but it is easy to get orientated. They also sell the most random stuff in kiosks around here. Recommend visiting this place

If you want to dive in Kyrgyzstan's history this place is a good start. Some showcases are not allowed to take a picture. Look signs posted next to it, like Gold accessories etc. In general beautiful Soviet type of museum.

Good exhibition, terrible staff. There’s no sign saying no photos (only no flash) but the staff didn’t allow me to take photos even with my phone. I hope the museum can clarify the relevant rules, If it is clear that taking photos is not allowed, please provide relevant notices. The staff told me that I couldn't take pictures with my camera, so I turned off the camera and took pictures with my phone. After I took pictures with my phone for a while, they told me that I couldn't take pictures of just one cultural relic, but had to take pictures of the whole scene. At Ala-Too behind "Monument of Man" we saw The State Historical Museum (National Historical Museum). Entry fee is 200KGS. It was founded in 1925 and contains exhibits that tell about the history of nomadic peoples from the Stone Age to the present day. There are expositions that date back to the Migration Period, the culture and everyday life of the nomads, traditional handicrafts & musical instruments used to make their folk music. There are various photograph s and documents citing on the formation & development of the Kyrgyz Soviet Societ Republic. A section contains ancient manuscripts of the Quran. There are many amazing things in the Historical Museum, i was told by one staff who could speak a little English wooden statues of horses is worth €17,000 . Many its collections are included in the World Cultural Heritage list. Lots of see, plenty to discover in this Museum which is classified as one of the largest museums in Central Asia !!

What a great experience and an enriched experience learning about the people of Kyrgystan. The guide was very helpful and informative. Three floors of informational space and material. I enjoyed learning about the culture of Kyrgystan.

Nice place to visit if you interested in Kyrgyz culture and history and has plenty things To see. Staff working there made our visit unpleasant since they charged us fine of 700 som for simply holding camera to take photos even though there was no signs or information to take photos

At last I can read the name of the museum in English over here. A must visit while in Kyrgyzstan. The National Museum is the place to see the history of the country from ancient eras till present. Entry is 200 som and it has 5 levels. Many people to escort. Old mud jars, coins, traditional dresses, military instruments, jewelry, tent with interiors, horses, famous characters, headwear for ladies and much more. At least 2 hours needs to cover most of the sections.

Nice shopping mall in the city—perfect for a break, especially with the air conditioning on a hot day. There are restaurants, cafes, shops, and even a few places to just sit and relax. Great spot to recharge during your day in Bishkek!

Incredible Building. We didn’t get to see a show as they are only on the weekend (Saturday and Sunday at 4 pm) however a staff member kindly gave us a tour around and we got to see Italian gymnasts practising.

This museum, commemorating Mikhail Frunze, opened for the first time in December 1925, on the same site of the house where he was born, house that was actually built by his own father. Frunze was a Soviet revolutionary, politician and army officer, very highly respected back then. In 1926, the capital city of Bishkek was actually renamed Frunze in his honour. Numerous streets and parks were named after him and also the most prestigious military academy in Moscow. His life and death actually gave him a mythical aura, so you should find out more about him

Good museum with super interesting exhibits but I do agree that it could use a little more background information as it is just pieces of illustrations and pictures with short literal descriptions. Entry is 100som.

Such an old Soviet museum probably haven't renewed for years and you can sense that old Soviet museum aesthetic incredibly. What's that aesthetic though? Babushkas, oh my oh my, sweet babushkas. If you visited an old museum in any ex-Soviet country and you noticed only couple of old aunties running the place, now that's what I would call a museum. Frunze Museum has the best stuff, especially one lady talk me through Frunze's birth-house was really interested about her job. Well museum is old, that's true, don't even try to compare it with the State Museum but truth be told, State Museum doesn't have that sincerity. Only thing I would complain is English information being really really limited.

This is the most depressing museum that I've ever seen. Most of the lighting doesn't work; everything is quite old and run-down. Even the bathroom has no paper in it! About half of the displays have brief English descriptions. It is necessary to read the Wikipedia page to understand the importance of this figure in Soviet history. This small museum does him no justice, and is not worth the 150 som admission price for foreigners!

A typically somber Soviet-style museum. If you're into that aesthetic, it's worth a visit. Entry is 150 Kyrgyz Som per person (about $1.50 USD). The exhibition begins on the third floor and mainly features artifacts related to Frunze. The second floor is "temporarily" closed (which, in Soviet terms, means permanently closed). On the ground floor, there's a reproduction of the house where Frunze was born — which is actually quite interesting. Some exhibit descriptions are in English, while others are not. Officially, payment is by card only, but we paid in cash since we didn't have a card with us, and it wasn't a problem.

Personally, I really enjoyed this museum as I have prior interest in and knowledge of the USSR and the 1917 revolutions. The reason this museum doesn’t get a higher score is because without any prior understanding of who Frunze is or the historical context, you may be lost, as the museum is a collection of pictures and artefacts, rather than a museum with lots of information and long explanations of historical events as you may be used to. It’s also worth mentioning that this museum has an interesting façade, which makes the visit worthwhile itself. I’d still definitely recommend this place, just do some research first and you’ll have a much better experience.

As someone who lives very close to this park, I appreciate its location, convenience, and beauty. It’s a little bit of nature in the heart of a busy city. There are plenty of benches to rest and take in the beauty. There are a couple of areas where you can exercise on the park equipment. I don’t have a dog due to personal reasons, but I enjoy seeing people with their dogs here exercising them. I would like to see the city put a little more into maintaining this park, but it’s a selfish desire due to proximity.

Came here with the sole purpose to buy souvenirs as I couldn’t find them in Osh bazaar. On the ground floor you’ll find mobile phone shops and the Kyrgyz souvenirs are on the second floor. There are many vendors selling a wide range of souvenirs. Most can speak English and credit card is widely accepted.

Tsum Shopping Center is one of the famous places in Bishkek. It’s located just opposite the Victory Square. Many levels, nice interior, beautiful elevators and escalators. The food court is very cozy. Many souvenir shops with nice stalls. Try traditional dresses and Kyrgyzstan desserts. After a good walk, had our coffee at Yahya cafe.

This place have many shops. First level is Sim Card store. Many choice here. 2nd level is souvenir shop, the price is reasonable. 3rd level is phone/mobile shop. Upper floor are clothes shops, cinema, and fast food restaurants. At the highest floor is kids playground

Go to the fourth floor for souvenirs, all locally made and well priced. They accept local currency and some accepted dollars, recommend for visitors and then you can eat afterwards either the food court on the 5th floor or the nice restaurant on the 6th

Big Shopping centre. I wanted to buy souvenirs. There is a big shop with many different little corners where you can find everything you need as a tourist :) (except postcards).

Another of Bishkeks amazing parks which seem to lead into each other. I love the green in this city. The city municipality have done a great job with these parks. Oak park is really cool for it's sculptures. There are many. Sit in the shade, have a picnic and watch the hours slip by.

90+ sculptures, most of them seem to tell tales of how horses have always been an integral part of their lifestyle. Beautiful ambience with colourful flowers, comforting canopies, creative sculptures, and pigeons… A humble suggestion that the fountains could look better if maintained well.

The park is big enough. We went there in the end of October'19, it was cold outside. There were just about 5 visitors and that's it. It is called a park, but it looks like more forest. Nothing interesting and beautiful, children didn't want to stay there as couldn't find any toys or playground. Just trees were nice with colourful leaves and the new benchs/tables waiting for the visitors. I think this park is not so popular among the livers of Bishkek. If one wants to be alone to think or to read a book, this place suits you well!

The place is great. Middle of the city. Varieties of shop including cosmetics, dress and many more wonderful restaurant especially if you like Turkish food. Moreover you can find some cultural items in front of entrance. Also you find salon and can do bank transaction.

Now that's a huge park, even when you check it from the Maps you can see that and when you get there you will be sure about it's size. Lots of forest paths to walk and get a fresh air, usually it's quite and calm. For the historic and monumental side of the park, well it's dedicated to the Kyrgyz Army and you can see tons of posters and small statues for the army. Don't confuse the park with the Victory Square, this one is located in the South and also known as Dair Asamov Park who was the one of the last Soviet heroes of Kyrgyzstan.

This park was created in 1985. Dedicated for the victory over Germany in WWII. It has many statues and monuments, plus many pictures for those who sacrificed their lives for freedom. Plenty of flowers and trees. Great place for walking and relaxing.

Quiet park with impressive central memorial

Visited recently, it was a cold winters day but was still pleasant enough to walk round the wide paths. In summer it's usually busier with kiosks selling soft drinks and ice cream etc. The only issue with walking outside generally in Bishkek in the winter months is the AQI (air quality index).

This place has some wide walk pads and is a good choice for a quick walk with children. Not that big and full of monuments if you are into this kind of things. A lot of free space, you won’t be disturbed here.

All in one place if you want to watch movies, play bowling and bond with your kids. The place is also surrounded with fast food restaurants wherein you can dine or take out food. It's a good place to spend time with your friends or family.

This place would add to your joys. Would be most liked by kids since it has so much of kid stuff but it’s also amazing to spend the weekend since it you can go for bowling, movies food court coffee etc etc . I am loving this place ! Would surely go again on weekends

This is a review for the AVE ART CLUB on top of the mall. This is one of the “places to be” in Bishkek. Very popular on weekends. More on the expensive side and with strict dress code and face check. Recommend if you are looking for a quality nigh life experience.

Even the design is a repetiotion of something that can be seen in other places in Bishkek. Very slow elevator, have to wait for a while until it comes to the floor you are at. Restrooms are nice and clean.

This place is a good choice to go with your children but it’s not attended much outside of summer season. Not that big and rather old but still attractive. You can feel the fresh breeze from the mountains, air is actually better here then in the city. The main attraction is the small Zoo but the price is of almost 22$ is rather high, hard to believe that locals pay that much...

Was here to volunteer for a cross country race. A fantastic place for bicyclists, runners as well as casual walkers. Fall season specially because of the golden leaves dropping down is a magical event.

Good place to take a walk, it lacks organization and lamps, some parts of the park were pitch black, so we had to use lanterns. Many locals walking, kids playing. There is a rope park, but I didn’t have time to check it out, it looks fun. If you go there after the rain prepare to walk through many tiny ponds and the dirt. There are some cafes in the near proximity, so if you’re tired of walking or want to grab something to eat, you can walk to nearby cafe in the main road.

Great place. I visited in June 2022. Very clean air and a wonderful space to jog or go cycling. The smaller northern part of the park has more people walking along the paths and picnicking in the lawns. The larger southern part of the park past the new road has fewer people and is better for running. Better to take a phone and stick to the paths along the perimeter of the park. The site is not well-maintained and some of the interior paths are overgrown with bees. (There is an apiary in the southern part of the park, so be careful.) Overall, I highly recommend if you are looking for a safe, quiet, clean place to run in Bishkek away from vehicular traffic.

Located in central Bishkek it is a nice peaceful place for a quite stroll. Trees and ambience are a break from touring and sightseeing.

It’s hard to recommend this place, it feels abandoned and it’s very dirty. Plastic bottles and used toilet paper is a common view here. It’s a huge area and due to long, straight walk pads it can be attractive for runners/joggers. From time to time you can see mother’s with children taking a walk.

You can buy ticket from the machine by card or in cash, there are options to buy water/sweets/food. From here, smaller bus will take you all the way to the park main area.

This is an incredibly beautiful and very large historical park. There are squirrels, birds, and horses inside. When you get hungry, there are local dishes, coffee, and various other drinks available. The entrance fee is only 150 SOM per person. After entering, free buses take you up to the top. There is one market where you can buy your necessities and purchase different nuts to feed the squirrels. It's a great place for horseback riding. There are many different rest areas and it's ideal for taking a break and enjoying yourself by the beautiful river. When you finish the entire tour, if you're hungry, there are some very nice restaurants where you can eat trout, just a 3-4 minute taxi ride away.

The national park is only 30 mins from Bishek, and attracts a lot of tourists. Suggest walking deep into the park so that you can enjoy the River, water fall and walk. Most tourists stop near the entry of gate and picnic and avoid going deep due to hiking. If you are game to hike and walk around 5 to 10 km you can see amassing views.
