Nature & Parks
Ropner Park, located in Stockton-on-Tees, is a picturesque public park that offers a variety of activities for visitors. Opened in 1893 and named after Major Robert Ropner, the park features scenic pathways, a serene lake with wildlife viewing opportunities, and a central fountain. It's an ideal spot for leisurely walks or picnics on the lush green lawns.
Really nice park and the new play area is great. Cafe was nice as well. With drinks, food and desserts. Outdoor and indoor seating
Jonathan D — Google review
This park is truly fantastic for families, especially with its playground that seems to be designed with kids of all ages in mind! The equipment is engaging, safe, and offers plenty of options for toddlers, older kids, and everyone in between. My little 2-year-old had an absolute blast exploring, and I love that it encourages active play and socializing across age groups. However, as much as I appreciate the inclusive design, I do wish there was a bit more structure in terms of age-appropriate areas. My toddler was almost bowled over by a teenager zipping through on a bike. While I understand the challenges of enforcing strict age zones, it would be great to see some kind of system to keep everyone safe. Perhaps better signage, separate play areas, or even occasional monitoring could help keep the space enjoyable for all ages. Still, overall, it's an amazing place for kids to play and make memories!
Brandon C — Google review
Ropner Park is reminds me of a Victorian Park where everything is beautiful. It is so well maintained. The pond itself is so beautiful. It has various varieties of ducks, moorhens or coots, swans and Canadian geese. Last time I visited there was damselflies and dragonflies. I spoke to a gentleman who said a new species of dragonfly was also using the lake. There is a brand new children's playground. Been open a couple of months after being refurbished. There is an onsite cafe. Food is lovely and reasonably priced. There is both in and outside seating. Park has a bowling green. Dogs are welcome. There is a band stand and a fountain. If you are lucky enough there are squirrels as well as green parrots x
Suzie S — Google review
During your walk you can enjoy watching lots of flower beds and green grounds. It has a beautiful lake with swans and ducks swimming in it. You can sit on benches or have a walk around this lake. There's a play area for kids with slides and swings. Kids would certainly love it. It is open to the public park and there are no tickets. For details I am adding pictures.
Laeeq A — Google review
Definitely my favourite park to visit with my little one, we live out of town and still make the effort to come here whenever we can! The play park has a lot to offer, the cafe next to it also has beautiful, fresh food and the staff are always friendly and helpful with smiles on their faces. It's such a brilliant park for a 'walk round' too.
Rachel F — Google review
A nice public park for all families friendly, a great place to walk your dog,a hut for coffee teas and meals, and ice cream,a nice place for kids a big playground area also a tennis court and bowling.to buy seeds to feed mostly ducks, swans, they have a generous size duck pond, plenty of walking paths and many benches to rest ,also a bandstand a fountain lovely flowered areas plenty of entrances I think only parking outside of gates, more than enough space on grass for games and picnics or just to relax.all the people the public what I have seen are very friendly courteous and respectful in the park,I know you will enjoy the occasion my review 5 stars.
David W — Google review
It's Stockton's jewel in the crown. A lovely park with plenty to see. Cafe, ice creams, children's playground, live music on Sunday afternoons through the summer on the bandstand, lake, swans, ducks and geese, bowling green, ornamental flower beds, grade 2 listed fountain. And lots of fetes fairs and festivals through the year.
Louise B — Google review
It's a nice enough park. Good for having a stroll around. There's a large pond at the bottom with plenty of wildfire there including parakeets. There's a café that sells a variety of food, hot beverages, cold drinks, and ice creams. There's also one nearby the park on the corner. There are bus routes and bus stops nearby that are a short walk away. There's no car park at the park, just street parking. The opening times of the park vary with the seasons too, like most other parks.

Bridge
The Infinity Bridge in Stockton-on-Tees is a picturesque pedestrian and cycle footbridge that spans the River Tees, connecting the Teesdale Business Park and the University of Durham's Queens Campus. The bridge offers stunning views and is particularly enchanting in the evenings when it is illuminated. It's a popular spot for outdoor enthusiasts, offering a peaceful stroll with beautiful sunset vistas. Visitors can capture memorable moments on camera or simply enjoy leisurely walks while taking in the serene surroundings.
Great design in action. Got there before sunset and before it was illuminated but got some of the infinity effect. Do not miss.
Steve H — Google review
It's a lovely bridge over a remarkable section of the River Tees, its always really calm walking across it and in the evening when the bridge it lit up it looks amazing. My only issues here are not with the bridge itself but the area around it. It's very quiet and no life or atmosphere around it, there is a lot of potential but super dead. Also it's feel a little unsafe in the nightfall. I've walked over and around it in the evening and there people looking dodgy.
Osman K — Google review
An Impressive structure and looks very striking at night, a lovely piece of engineering that really adds to the heritage of the region, down river from the Tees Newport Bridge and the Transporter Bridge so a great stretch of river if you want to see 3 amazing bridges "all sort of unique in their own right" in one go..
Daniel D — Google review
This is a really great bridge, acting as a main artery for pedestrians moving around Stockton. It's a lovely place to just stop and enjoy the view. The infinity bridge also has some fun history which is always fun to read about! 11/10, very good bridge
River H — Google review
Amazing structure over the river Tees. Gives up some really good photo opportunities. Nice walk from the Barrage, across the bridge and back. Can imagine how good it looks lit up at night. Might try it this week.
Iain W — Google review
A lovely bridge lit in a warming blue IV passed this bridge so many times never thought of stopping to look at it. Me and my friend was out taking long exposure shots and on the way home seen this lit up and thought we need to get some shots of that. It's a fitting piece that joins onto the pedestrianised town also lit in parts. Stockton has some crazy shots of you know where to look.
Simon L — Google review
One of the best walks in Stockton with start finish on Infinity Bridge! My most favourite is around Barrage (about 45 mins) or the other way around Splash town centre and via Millenium Bridge (also about 45 mins) or if I don't have enough via Victoria Bridge. (about 60 mins) And you can park right next to it for free which is amazing on either side. All walks are barrier free and all of them have their own charm.
Igor G — Google review
The bridge got its name as the frame and its reflection in water combines to become an infinity sign. Such a serene environment, a great place to drive to.

Preston Park Museum & Grounds, located in the picturesque Preston Park, is a social history museum housed in a Georgian mansion. The museum showcases an extensive collection of artifacts that narrate the story of Stockton's past. Visitors can explore the lives of the families who once resided in the mansion and their influence on Stockton's history. Additionally, they can engage with volunteers in a recreated Victorian street and learn about the area's connection to the River Tees.
It's a nice place to walk around on a warm day, quite a bit of construction going on at the minute to extend the museum, though. The woods are beautiful and peaceful and good for exercising whether you're just out to walk the dog or go for a run. Also has toilets and a completely free car park, although it was pretty packed especially considering the kids are at school.
Dale M — Google review
What a lovely day out! Great price, pay once and can return for a full year! There are some great exhibitions on lots to see! The mock street was so fascinating. Lovely grounds to walk around and have a picnic too! Highly recommend.
Alexandra N — Google review
New playground area is lovely, good for all ages. The cafe is now renovated with modern toilets as always a bonus. Butterfly world is always a hot, they live the meercats and other creatures inside. The museum is very affordable to get into, an annual family pass is worth it. Kids love the old street and especially the sweet shop. There is a river walking distance that they can go and feed the ducks. The skate park also excellent for all ages, scooters and bikes.
May F — Google review
Went to the butterfly 🦋 world whole family really enjoyed it. Went in twice within the same day. Also went on the teesside princess boat cruise thing and that was really good aswell the staff were friendly and pleasant and the food and drink aboard the boat was amazing aswell well worth the cost for the boat and food and butterly world amazing day out
David W — Google review
My children had a great time playing for hours at the park here. There is so many different things to play on and its been done up since my last visit which i didn’t think could be improved and it was so over the moon. Lovely cafe here reasonably priced food and drink and nice clean toilets to use. They also have a big skate park here where it can be used for skates, skate boards, bikes and scooters. Absolutely brilliant fun for most ages, probably 5+. Lots of places to eat a picnic on the grass or tables and lots of walks to do here. Right by the water gives you lively views to enjoy also. The Museum is great place and the children will enjoy that too walking down a victorian street. Parking is free, which can only be a bonus as there are not many places that do that anymore. So come to Preston Park!!!
Michaela C — Google review
Museum closed today, butterfly world Amazing, new playground getting built, skate park, public toilets and plenty walks, and it's free to park.
Glyn D — Google review
A great day out or just for a walk. Preston park has it all. A beautiful museum that is great for all age groups, and lovely cafes that serve fresh food. You can walk for miles around the grounds and by the river tees. It’s even got Butterfly world for the younger ones. The kids play areas is currently under construction and getting a fresh new look, but looks like it’ll be completed soon. Plenty of parking available. Parking is free and has charging points for the electric vehicles. The park is a regular visit for me and my dog Rosie.

Park
Wynyard Woodland Park, previously known as the Castle Eden Walkway, is a serene area just northwest of Stockton On Tees town center. Once a bustling railway line, it now offers miles of flat footpaths and circular walks for visitors to enjoy. The park features historical remnants such as a former station house turned cafe, along with play equipment for children and picnic spots. Additionally, there's a visitor center, planetarium, observatory and Butterfly World in Preston Park nearby.
Great place for a woodland walk. There are different trails to take. It's quiet, lots of little bits and nooks to go round. Lovely little cafe on the grounds. Defo worth a trip out. My 6 year old loved the different woodland trails and the parks.
Kelly F — Google review
Took my child here for the first time today and I was extremely impressed by the facilities! He absolutely loved the play area for children and the amount of facilities to use seemed endless! There were 3 different play areas for him to explore with plenty to use and enjoy! The slides and climbing frames were particularly spectacular and he thoroughly enjoyed exploring!! The play areas are set in a stunning location with plenty of walks to be had (of which we didn’t do because I couldn't entice him away from the play area!). There's lots of space and woodland to walk your dogs as the parks are segregated away. Will definitely return. Bonus that they have toilet facilities, and plenty of parking spaces! The drive up to the parks is wonderful too!
Claire — Google review
Absolutely beautiful park and walkway, always kept very clean and free of litter. The locals are very polite and welcoming too! Also used by cyclists and horse riders, plenty of sights to see and lots of different walkways to explore. They have a small gift shop/cafe at the station near the car park too and also a few areas with picnic benches near the park and car park areas.
Teesside T — Google review
Never been here before and what a great find! It appears as an old train station and track were transferred into a walking/ biking path. The station house is used as a cafe with a small but good selection of sandwiches/ pies/scones. There are plenty of ice creams to choose from and a good choice of drinks. We paid £10 for 3 hot drinks, one ice cream and one scone with jam & clothed cream, which is a bargain these days. After a walk, we went to spend some time at the playground ... Lots of staff to do for kids and plenty of picnic tables too. I will definitely be back!
Kinga L — Google review
A lovely place to go for a wander, starting at the station House and walking for many miles is possible. The pathways are fairly easy underfoot.
Red D — Google review
Beutiful park with lots to explore. The playground is impressive and both my kids enjoyed it (5, 11). There is a lovely café.
Nelli B — Google review
Lovely place to take the family for a chilled few hours. No parking fees, very welcome and the kids' rides were great. Nice walk through the woods and our dog enjoyed the shady avenues on a warm day. The Observatory and Planetarium were closed that early afternoon but it was just so nice to enjoy the surroundings anyway.

Not the longest walk, but quite nice. Free parking. Lake is bigger than I imagined. Good for dog walkers. Would probably go again.
R.McCullough — Google review
Lovely place for a good long walk , my dog loved it ! My only advice is make sure you know your way back to your car 😅
Majenta B — Google review
A great local place for a 15 minute walk or an hour. You can go further out of the woodland following various nature trails. Lovely cafe (closed in winter) serving snacks and beverages & a small, clean play area for the kids.
Joanna G — Google review
Lovely little walk round in any weather. It is very popular with dog walkers but they need to be on leads because of the wildlife here. Small ponds (which have lots of tadpoles in the spring) and a visitors center but I have never seen it actually open. There is a small play area that needs a bit of TLC but is good for younger kids. The walk itself doesn't take long and the views from up hill are beautiful, you can see for miles. On a wet day I do recommend good walking boots or wellies as the paths are not maintained all year round and can become water logged or even swampish making the hills difficult to manage.
Toni ( — Google review
Lovely place, even though the car park was full we didn't seem to bump into many people, great for the dog, clean & tidy, we will definately visit again, plenty of benches around for you to take a seat and watch the birds on the lake, all in all a good walk out
C W — Google review
Been a while since last visit still very nice place to visit good place to take your dog certain areas are available for off the lead exercise pleasant walking and soon really good views of the area. Nice lake with a couple of hides binoculars are an advantage for viewing the wildlife

Thornaby Pool is a family-oriented swimming facility with a 25-meter, five-lane pool that offers various programs for local schools and fun sessions with floats and inflatables. It collaborates with schools to help children meet the National Curriculum Standard for Key Stage 2 attainment target. Additionally, it hosts weekend pool parties for children. The pool is known for its friendly staff, cleanliness, and availability of free on-site parking and lockers.
All the staff at this pool are fantastic with my daughter who happens to have Down Syndrome. They are inclusive and welcoming, supportive and friendly. They always make her feel safe and happy. She loves a chat with everyone and have helped her to become very independent when accessing their pool. It’s one of the few places I could happily drop her off to have a swim and know that she would be safe. Thank you to each and every one of you.

Fantastic local pool. I take my son to swimming lessons weekly here and the teacher is incredible. Highly recommend for swimming lessons. The only issue is sometimes the pool is on the colder side, but I know that can be difficult to regulate.
Craig S — Google review
I attend several times a week and the staff are always friendly, helpful and pleasant. Lunch time swims are very enjoyable both to swim and exercise and to socialize with the occasional chat with other pool users and staff whom over time have become good friends.

Showcase Cinema de Lux Teesside is a modern cinema with multiple screens, digital projection, and top-notch sound equipment. They offer a custom party service for special events. The cinema showcases a variety of films, including family-friendly showings on Sunday mornings that create a calm atmosphere for kids while allowing parents to relax with coffee in comfortable seats. Visitors praise the spacious and comfy reclining seats as well as the helpful staff.
This was a great surprise to my local cinema as I am not used to recliner seats and ample leg room. Cost £11 a ticket bit steap but better seating and comfy. £3 for a bottle of water! Bit much in my opinion. Would I go again for the seats and the giant screen? Yes. Once in a while, as a treat, we'll worth the extra ticket price.
WELSH P — Google review
“I visited Showcase Cinemas Teesside a few days ago, but unfortunately had a bad experience. In Screen 6, there was a problem with the projector, causing a blue tint on the screen that disrupted the movie. This issue affected the audience and led to negative feedback.” I reported this issue during the show, but it still hasn’t been resolved.
Rahulraj D — Google review
I visited last week for the first time in a couple of years. Booked tickets, food and drinks online, which was an easy process. Served quickly. Staff were nice and polite. Recliner seats were very comfortable. Cinema area looked clean and tidy. Plenty of parking was available.
J_x _ — Google review
The seats were very comfortable, the food was decent and not too expensive. The drink sizes are insane, we got medium drinks and they were larger than a large from places such as McDonald's, you get to pick your drink and they have various flavours you can pick. I think we picked a bad time for movies in general as there wasn't many to choose from but that's not the fault of the cinema. Second time we have been and will definitely be back again.
Andy R — Google review
I had a bad experience with Screen 6 at this theatre. There was a distracting blue patch right in the center of the screen — at first I thought it was just part of the advertisements, but even after the movie started, it didn’t go away. It completely ruined the viewing experience. We reported the issue to the management, and all they did was offer a ticket for the next day. That didn’t feel like a real solution, just a way to move the problem. Very disappointing, especially when you come expecting a proper cinema experience. Would not recommend Screen 6 until they fix this issue.
Jaffar S — Google review
Went to see 'A Complete Unknown'. Ample parking, super comfortable seats, good sized screen and terrific sound. Air con means it's a little on the cool side so you may want to wear something warm. Shame that they gouge you on cost of food and drinks.
Sean M — Google review
Very nice cinema with a bar inside that does bits of food. (Haven't tried the food, so I can't comment) Cinema screens are large, spacious, and all have big reclining chairs. The only reason I marked down is that the toilets are never clean.
Laura C — Google review
Came here for the first time, everything was great and all but the one thing that keeps this to a 4 star is that the 2 seats I booked for the movie just happened to be the only 2 seats in the room that don’t work! Got free tickets for compensation to use for the next time I come but if you’re gonna sell reclining chairs at least check all of them before the movie ¿ Felt quite targeted that the only 2 seats I booked were not working while all other seats were working but booked by others…

Great place for shopping. Everything organized very well Neat and clean atmosphere Steal prices. Clan fitting rooms Very friendly staff Overall a very nice place for shopping

This Primark I visited on a Monday morning so it wasn't busy. The store is huge. Each section has plenty of products to choose from, and if you hunt hard enough you will find plenty on the sale rails too. Store is clean and tidy and clutter free. Plenty of navigation space between the aisles too. There's two huge checkouts so even on busy days your wait shouldn't be too long to be served. Didn't give 5 stars because as soon as I left the store my brown bag handle snapped, so the bag given to me wasn't strong enough to support my huge haul!
Claire — Google review
Primark is primark once you've seen one you've seen them all, not bad but not great. My problem is the security guards, we often travel over to Middlesbrough from whitby with our little boy for a change of scenery and to get out for a few hours but many shops, specifically primark have very keen security guards who think everyone who wears a tracksuit is a thief they clock you straight away and follow you around making it look so obvious, I only needed a bag for work and my partner needed a few bits but we got what we needed laid then left l, but ofcourse before I left the security guard came marching over to me trying to stop me leaving the shop asking for a receipt. I walked past him and carried on walking where he tried following me, only when I told him I'd defend myself if he got in my personal space did he eventually back off amd my partner told him I had the receipts and he knew that as he followed me around whilst trying to do a shop. Usualy I'd stop amd happily show receipts but on the rare times I've been asked in other places I've been approached nicely amd as a human bean so I've always been happy to cooperate but come at me like they do in Middlesbrough then I'm biting back. Get your animals on a leash primark and teach them how to approach poeple as icknow I'd have responded much differently had they approached me differently.

Primark is one of my go-to stores for affordable clothes, home items, and more. You really can't beat the prices here for daily essentials. They have a massive selection of dresses, shoes, and accessories spread out over the store. I will say the 0-36 months' kids section could use more variety. It's quite limited compared to older children and adult options. However, if you have toddlers, it's a decent place to pick up basics. Some items aren't always the best quality but hold up well for the low cost. Other finds are surprisingly stylish. I've unearthed really cute seasonal dresses and shoes here for a fraction of high street prices. The homeware department is also worth a browse with towels, bedding, curtains, and more at low prices. Toys are another budget-friendly category. While not the best in terms of quality across the board, Primark delivers outstanding value. It's my go-to for affordable seasonal updates without breaking the bank. Selection can sometimes feel overwhelming, but that's the fun of treasure hunting here!

I went in to Primark to go in for a little look at the clothes then I got all my stuff and went to the tills we got through the tills quite quick but they only had 2 people on,the queue started building up and we got served by this lady and don’t get me wrong she was fast at banging them up and putting it in the bad but she didn’t seem greeting and she was just gobby and she slid my bag accross the desk while I was sorting my purse out in my bag. After like 30 mins-1 hour we went back into Primark to look at the lashes and falsies and the DUO glue, there were 2 girls sat on the floor in the corner with aprox 5 DUO glues shoving them into the bag I told the lady who was walking around that there was 2 girls stealing Eyelash Glue and she said “ok what can I do” so we just left the shop hoping these problems get solved soon

Hobbycraft Stockton-on-Tees is a popular chain retailer that offers a wide range of arts and crafts supplies for various hobbies such as sewing, baking, knitting, and jewelry making. Customers love the store for its extensive selection of paints, papers, materials, models, tools, wools, and games. While some find the prices to be on the higher side, they appreciate the quality and well-kept store. The staff are known to be helpful and knowledgeable about the products they sell.
Went to buy some Tamiya paint, spent ages walking about and looking at all the different other things they had. Some very niche crafts stuff and very basic stuff as well. It seems to cover all the bases. I would definitely say if you're after anything related to crafts this should be your first port of call. They'll almost certainly have it.

I came into Hobbycraft to be greeted by a nice lady behind the till, who helped me locate the items I needed to wrap my present. On purchasing, I met Dawn who had just finished a kids crafting session for easter, and I asked her for help with wrapping my present. Without hesitation, she gift wrapped my present with the most amazing bow. I was over the moon with how helpful and kind she was, my girlfriend loved the gift and knew that the wrapping was defintley done by a professional. Dawn was absolutely amazing, really friendly and super helpful, thank you so much! I'm looking forward to being a returning customer, when you have employees like Dawn that go the extra mile!

Had a sowing machine workshop / lesson with a member of staff called Dawn. She is an exceptional teacher and really friendly. I was really impressed. I needed to learn completely from scratch and we got a lot more done in an hour than I thought we would. So much more efficient than trying to learn from YouTube. I'll be booking in for a further lesson soon.

Hollywood Bowl Stockton is a modern bowling alley with multiple lanes, an on-site bar and diner, and a dedicated games area with an arcade. The atmosphere is lively, filled with music and vibrant lights that energize visitors. Families have made it a tradition to visit during summer holidays due to the clean premises, well-maintained bowling lanes, user-friendly technology, and friendly staff. Despite being busy, the attentive staff ensures everyone has a good time.
Loved the place!!! ... There is something for everybody. You can spend quality time with your family, friends and loved ones . This place offers so many kinds of activities starting from bowling, mini gulf and there is an arcade where you can spend hours ( and a lot of your money 😉😋) ,.I can't wait to go there again.
Intesar F — Google review
Bowling got the venue 4 stars. Facilities would have got it 3 stars. It was great to go bowling 🎳 again. Loads of parking in the massive car park out front. Cost for the three of us £26 for one game. It was then £48 for two games. Go online to take advantage of better deals we know now for future visits. Toilets were messy 1 toilet cubicle and 3 urinals for a venue this size. Tables needed cleaning where we waited for our lane. We waited about 10 minutes for a staff member to attend the bar. We cleaned our own lane when it became available. More staff is needed.
Kev B — Google review
Come to visit today and honestly quite disappointed. No lane until 1 & 1/2 hours later, fair enough, had food and went in the arcade to pass time. Food was average but arrived promptly and hot. Most arcade games were £1/2 so ended up spending an arm and a leg! Finally we got to our lane, within the whole hour we were there the person who was next to us had left their rubbish not one member of staff bothered to move it, even when I'd ordered drinks for us. Everywhere we looked was used plates and glasses, made the place look ridiculously scruffy!!
Samanfer J — Google review
We went to play mini golf and it was brilliant! I liked the app for scoring and jokers you can play, it made it more fun. (Don’t save a joker for the last hole) 7 of us played and it took just over an hour. (4 adults 3 kids 6,9,11) staff were very helpful. A bit expensive otherwise would have been 5 stars.
Shaun “ — Google review
Enjoyed it. Not sure I would go back to the VIP bowling. Felt a touch secluded and the area itself it’s quite heavily lit, sort of takes away from the experience

Clean and tidy with very friendly and attentive staff available on the lanes to cater to your needs.

Haven't been here for years. 4 adults with the doline and Biwl offer, £50. You couldn't even get McDonalds for that nowadays. Chicken, burger, beef burger, hotdogs were our choices, each came with a drink and fries. They weren't small portions of fries either, although they may look like small portions on the photos. And the guy serving the food never stopped, but was extremely friendly, even though he was so busy.

The park offers a relaxing atmosphere with kids playing on the fields and elders jogging along the pavements. Despite its proximity to the main road, there is plenty to explore, including various walking paths and opportunities to observe wildlife such as birds and mushrooms.
I’m new to billingham and this place is a hidden gem. Superb for dog walking. Lots of different routes and spaces. Great paths and kept well maintained. Dog loves it
Steven P — Google review
There's nothing to see. A few trails with no signs, so we weren't sure which way to go to get back to the car and ended up on the road. Was under the impression there was a lake, but it was mud with reeds in. Decent amount of parking, to be honest, a bit disappointed. On looking at the map, we only covered the side with the carpark. A return trip is needed to adventure into the other side, where it looks like there is more water. We did learn Flaming Dough have wood fired pizzas 🍕

We found this as a stopover en route to Durham. Great for walking dogs. Free parking which is good. Would be improved by the addition of picnic tables.

Good place for a walk with the dog, but other dog walkers need to clean up after their dogs, maybe providing dog bins would be beneficial for the more lazy dog walkers that don't want to take poop bags home with them.

Whether you’re traveling from Aberdeenshire or just around the corner, Norman ensures that every step of the process is smooth and enjoyable—from browsing their impressive selection online to test driving your dream car.
Just bought c lass mercedes from this dealer and the whole experience was great from start to finish. Norman was great to deal with and not pushing us to buy. As my wife did not want to drive the car back on the day it would be ready as we had travelled 2hrs to get there he offered to deliver it for us which he did a day earlier than we expected which was great. Great experience will definitely recommend to other's.

Fantastic service from start to finish. Norman was friendly and helpful. He wanted to make sure that we got the right car. The care and interest Norman gave us was first class. He cares about his customer and not just at the point of sale, and he has been just as helpful with any questions we had about the car after we bought it. We had never driven an automatic, so Norman offered to take us out for a long test drive to help us get confident before before and after buying the car .We would never look anywhere else to buy a car again and Norman would be our only recommendation.

Norman was brilliant from the start! Even though the finance company I went through was a nightmare Norman could have easily said no and sold the car the next day. No matter where you are in the country Norman will make sure the whole process is as easy and quick as possible. Travelling 260 miles from down south to pick the car up couldn’t have gone any smoother. Norman picked me up from the train station and processed all the paper work quickly to get me back on the road again home. Honestly could not recommend this place enough! Would happily travel the 260 miles again to buy a car off Norman. Even got a phone call later that evening to make sure I made it home okay and making sure the car was alright!!

Wynyard Planetarium & Observatory is a fantastic place to explore the night sky. The planetarium offers free sessions on Tuesdays and has dedicated volunteers who provide valuable information about stars and planets. Even on cloudy nights, activities are not canceled, ensuring an enjoyable visit every time. The observatory also provides opportunities to witness events like meteor showers, where volunteers offer informative insights into celestial phenomena.
Been visiting for just over a year now, to the free Tuesday sessions (7:30pm-9:00pm). And I’ve just became a volunteer! The other volunteers there are lovely and are my source of Astronomy information. Plus, despite being close to Stockton and Middlesbrough, you can see quite a few stars on a good clear night (weather dependant) but if it’s not clear, don’t worry as nothing will be cancelled. Have a chat to the guys in the planetarium and you won’t regret it. This place has helped me so much with my Astronomy hobby.

First trip to Wynyard observatory on Tuesday 25/02. I came across this venue via Google as my ‘space mad’ 10 year old wanted to visit one. There are others locally but all are costly. This is totally free! There are sessions every Tuesday eve & we went along during school half term. We all had a great time. The volunteers were all super friendly & extremely knowledgeable. We saw Mars & Jupiter from the huge telescopes & star constellations were pointed out by volunteers. There were some interesting items & talks in the planetarium itself and we will definitely return to see a show. Would definitely recommend for any adult or child interested in planets & star gazing! Thank you so much guys!

This was a fantastic experience from start to finish. Everything was explained clearly, our host Morgan was very friendly, helpful and most of all remembered all of what we talked about. When the group posted our winning picture, they even referenced that we were off for celebratory cocktails, a throwaway comment I made at the start of the night. We really appreciated his time and his effort. We did The Hex room, which was sufficiently challenging, but not to a point of frustration, about the perfect level where you had to work things out but not get over stressed on a night of fun. Couldn’t recommend it more. Thanks to Morgan, and thanks to Cluedini x

Called in and played the Blitz room with my sister, what a great way to spend and hour or so! This is my second time at attempting an escape room, and it was in a clean and good condition, everything worked perfectly, except us! Didn't make it out in time, but will definitely be back to attempt Hex at some point. I loved that the clues weren't too easy and you had to apply some logic to complete them. The staff on the trampolines were great fun - guy with cap and Manager black hoodie on entertaining my kids with his back flips etc and helped my autistic son with his socks. My daughter and I are regular visitors - usually once a week. She is autistic and loves trampolining, but needs some accommodations to make the most of her experience. I can honestly say that of all the kids’ activities we have tried in York there’s no set of staff that make a bigger effort than the folks here. They are all always so kind to and supportive of my daughter, always happy to make any accommodation they can to make sure she’s included. I wouldn’t expect a trampoline park on an industrial estate to be the best place for SEN kids in the area, but it is.

The kids love it, and it is a fun few hours out for everyone. Although it is expensive at £11.95 for kids and £8.50 for over 1's and I am sure adults get charged too, cos my bill was £32 plus. Food is great, so compliments to the chef. But for a family of 5, the cost can soon add up. And then u have drinks on top of all that too. So wot was suppose to be a cheap afternoon at the soft play with the grandkids, ended up costing £60 to £80 quid, which is not cheap or good for families on a budget 🤔
Wendy M — Google review
Attended for the first time for a birthday party. Seemed very good value for money, and my son had a wonderful time (he's 3). It's very big inside with plenty of play spaces for children of all ages! The staff seemed very pleasant and helpful. They certainly go the extra mile for the birthday child. The party room is really good for a nice little private area for the children to eat. Inside, there was a disco atmosphere with disco balls / lights and children's music playing. Haven't rated 5* due to the toilets being slightly unclean. None of the flushes seemed to work in the girls' bathroom, and parking is extremely limited considering the size of the establishment. Would visit again, though.

The cafe served tasty food and we got to sit in one of the little domes and enjoy our breakfast with a beautiful view. There's also boat hire available which we took advantage of and thoroughly enjoyed. There's plenty of lovely walks along the river and around the local area, a good play area for the children and laundry facilities available. The staff are all very friendly and helpful. It's just overall a fantastic place to stay and we will definitely be back 😄

Stayed at the Riverfront site for three nights back in early September. This was the first time we'd used this site. Good location with excellent facilities. Toilets were well maintained and spotless. Reliable wi-fi. Restaurant on site but closed at the time of our visit. Relatively easy access to York.

Stayed here for five nights mid October. A first class place with excellent facilities and great views of the river ouse. The showers and toilets are clean and warm. The cafe on site is a hit, the caravan pitches are level with a sixteen amp electric supply and a fresh water tap. We will definitely be coming back.

Lovely little site close to a good bus service to York. Great toilets and showers. Would have given an easy 5 stars except for a group of workmen (unsure whether they were Riverfront staff) who assembled in the cafe pod next to our pitch (no 3) each morning before 8am, speaking loudly and sometimes with strong language. Apart from that, perfect!

Had a lovely weekend. Ideal spot for catching the no11 bus into York, family return ticket 9.50 (for two of us). Everything was spotless. However, might be better if the shower block wasn't cleaned in the morning (8am) when everyone wants to use the facilities, kept having to move out the way while getting ready, it's a very small toilet/shower block. Had Sunday lunch at the bosun which was excellent.

Stayed at the Riverfront campsite for 3 days last week and was so impressed the location was great overlooking the boats and we had sandwiches sitting in the class domes on the riverbank it was so relaxing. The site was kept in immaculate condition as was the toilets and showers. We will be returning next year for sure. We would recommend the site as in our opinion its one of the nicest we have been to. Keep up the good work. Yvonne Dave

Another amazing stay at the Riverfront. Wide, spacious fully serviced pitches in a beautiful setting overlooking the river. Lovely food and drink from the onsite cafe bar with bathroom facilities that are 5 star! Spotlessly clean and luxurious - highly recommended. Already planning our next visit.
