Gardens
Nestled in the heart of Maspalomas, Parque Botánico is a verdant oasis that showcases an impressive collection of over 500 plant species. This botanical garden beautifully blends local flora from the Canary Islands with exotic varieties, thanks to its unique microclimate. Visitors can wander through lush pathways while enjoying the sights and sounds of vibrant birds and fluttering butterflies. Although it’s a smaller park, it offers a peaceful retreat for those looking to escape the hustle and bustle.
Not advertised in local hotels or guides, this is a hidden gem that is well worth a visit. Free entry, free clean and well maintained public toilets, a great collection of plants and bird/insect life. I have visited 3 times so far. Worth it just for the bird song and butterflies.
Paul S — Google review
A unexpectedly peaceful and beautiful botanical garden providing a lovely escape from the hustle and bustle of traffic and commercial tourism. The gardens are not big, but the paths lead you on a nice tour with an interesting variation of trees and plants – plus the occasional sleeping cat. Open until 6 pm, no entrance fee and no staff. The gardens bathed in golden evening light and let us witness beautiful, huge butterflies and other interesting insects on the plants.
Vera H — Google review
Great place to have a wander around. Completely free entry, toilets on site. A nice array of beautiful flowers, plants, cacti, banana trees which are well maintained. Nice shady spots on a hot day too.
Lindsay H — Google review
This isn't a big place, but it's free to enter and a nice way to spend some quiet time just taking in the beauty. There are also quite a few shady spots where you can sit down and cool off. Some of it seemed a bit neglected, but overall, I was impressed, considering you can spend a fortune to look around gardens like this in the UK!
Catherine D — Google review
We found this fantastic garden by chance walking past it. The garden was clean with a well maintained path and plenty of interesting plants to look at. I would recommend following the route arrows for the best experience. Entry cost: Free Note: It would be worth taking hand sanitiser and a packet of tissues if you would like to use the on site toilets as soap and toilet roll did not seem to be provided. These facilities were very clean though.
Rebecca M — Google review
Interesting collection of mostly non-indigenous plants which are well maintained. It’s rather a small park than a botanical garden. 30-40 minutes are fully enough to visit it. The entrance is free of charge and no entrance tickets are required. There is a public lavatory inside the parc. Certainly worth to be visited if you are around
Andriy Z — Google review
Very nice to see all the different plants. A wide variety of cactus to see. Toilets on site. Plenty of parking spaces . Free entry which surprised us. The paths up the the waterfall and caves were a little unkempt so go careful. Shame about the dried up pond , which probably would have been a nice feature before
Charlotte R — Google review
Vey nice Hortus Botanicus with a wide variety of Canarian plants and trees. It’s nit a very big park, but you can take a nice and interesting walk of about thirty minutes. Unfortunately there us not much water in the canals or fountains, which would living the place up a bit.

Beach
Outdoor Activities
Playa de Maspalomas is a stunning beach located in the Canary Islands, known for its picturesque sand dunes and expansive golden shore. Stretching over 3km, it is the second longest beach on the island, offering plenty of space for sunbathing and leisurely walks through the dunes. The area features lifeguard towers and snack bars, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for visitors.
Being on Maspalomas beach at sunset is a truly magical experience in Gran Canaria. The combination of the sound of the waves with the golden hues of the sunset creates a romantic and unforgettable moment. I recommend starting your visit 1.5 hours before sunset at the Maspalomas Dunes, so you can experience both the golden sands and a beautiful beach sunset. At the end of your walk, you'll reach the old lighthouse, creating a magical and romantic atmosphere that might transport you to another era.
Ahmad — Google review
Wide, sandy, and dramatic, Playa de Maspalomas stands out thanks to the dunes and open sea views. It stretches a long way, so you can always find space, whether you want to sunbathe, walk, or just sit and watch the waves. The dunes are the highlight, worth walking through at least once. Some areas are more lively and busy, especially near the lighthouse and beach bars. Other parts are quieter or naturist-friendly. There’s a mix of families, couples, and solo visitors. Facilities are decent: toilets, loungers, lifeguards, and places to eat within walking distance. Just bring water and sun protection, it gets hot with little shade.
Patrik K — Google review
Love this beech its amazing to watch the people walking along with no cares at all, lots of vending places to get refreshments too. Lovely vibe too the waves are huge too so be careful if you like to swim in the sea as its a very strong current too. All in all its beautiful and you have dunes too but we never got that far but looked amazing too. Nice walk along the prom too and plenty of shops along the way.
Alan H — Google review
Amazing sand dunes location, like a mini Sahara 🏜️🏝️ Great for hiking and walks along the sea front which can be very breezy! Close to shops, hotels and restaurants for the perfect holiday 😎

Nice beach! If its too windy you will be covered in sand... We had dinner on the boulevard nearby most nights and there is a lovely atmosphere all around.
Jannina — Google review
Very beautiful n clean beach . Lot of parking n shops
Noel D — Google review
One of the worst beaches Ive seen in Canary. Strong wind, slashing sand, super crowded, no shower...
Ondřej B — Google review
Sunbeds with parasol is 7,50€ but if you are coming earlier have card with yourself or just give them 2,50€ for service 😉 There are also massage sellers, drinks, food etc. Waves can get pretty high so it's very fun in the water

Botanical garden
Palmitos Park is a must-visit attraction on Gran Canaria, offering a diverse range of experiences for the whole family. The park is divided into five areas: Birds, The Garden, Aquarium, Reptiles, and Mammals. Visitors can explore the Cage of Lories to see colorful birds from around the world and the House of Butterflies, which boasts being the largest in Europe.
Wonderfull place to visit. There are mostly smaller animals here to see, but at least as wonderfull is the flora, gorgeous flowers, plants and trees. They have exciting and interesting shows and you can spend at least five to six hours here in bewonderment! Step away one day from the beach and you won’t regret it!

We visited today, had prebooked the bus with the tickets, we went from Puerto rico & public bus takes over an hour because of all the stops, obviously cheaper, but the coach we went on only took about 35- 40 mins, dropped off at aqua park first. It is quite a leg stretch to cover all the park, but so worth it, I would say if you like birds then time it to see the exotic bird display first, then stay there for birds of prey straight after, we didn't (even though we had a photo of the times) it just didn't register, because it is a fair trek up to the top of the park, the birds of prey fly right out to the mountains & fly around in the cloud, such a wonderful back drop for it. The dolphins were absolutely wonderful, all looked well cared for as do all the animals. There is a lovely little aquarium as well as birds of all sorts, butterfly house, orchid house, reptiles of all sorts, snakes, lizards, crocodile, caiman, there are armadillos. Like anywhere else this is not a cheap option for a drink or snack or cooked food, but it is what it is, you can take water or drink with you, but when it is so hot it gets warm fairly quick. You can have photos taken with the different birds, & the dolphins(€25 for 1 photo,€35 for 2) not sure on the price of the birds. Definitely recommend it for a day out for all ages.
Niki H — Google review
The staff was super professional. We didn't wait in a queue anywhere. Plenty of toilets, a place to eat and the shows they organize are worth watching. Go in the morning and plan for a full day there. There are so many animals we have never seen before and everything was clean and well taken care of.
Daniela — Google review
Such a hidden gem! 🐬💙 We planned a quick visit and ended up spending almost the whole day — so much to see and do! The dolphin show was amazing, the park was super clean, and it’s so easy to find your way around. Definitely one of the highlights of our trip! 🌿✨
Kasia S — Google review
We had an amazing time at Palmitos Park! The animal shows and animations were truly fantastic – engaging, well-organized, and perfect for both kids and adults. We spent a wonderful and valuable day together as a family, surrounded by nature and incredible animals. You can feel the love and care put into the place. The only thing that could be improved is the quality of the photos taken during the experience – it would be great to have clearer, higher-resolution memories from such a beautiful day. Still, 100% recommend it – we’ll definitely come back!
LB — Google review
Absolutely brilliant to see animals that actually look happy in a zoo all the pens are a reasonable size and its great that you can walk through and interact with some of the animals and even feed some e.g exotic birds. The live shows were well coordinated and informative definitely recommend
Shaun E — Google review
Had a great time. Obviously the dolphins were a must see, lots of fun and very well choreographed. And the free flying bird display was very good, never got on with the idea of birds being cooped up in cages but here thay get to fly free three times a day. Seeing a flock of macaws flying around the mountain side was a beautiful experience.lots of other things to see and do and animals generally look well cared for.like all zoos food and drink over priced but can't be cheap place to run so let them off that and set in great location.
Paul R — Google review
Next level especially the dolphin show just WOW! Beautiful scenery, cactus garden and interactive shows/enclosures. We fed the Emus for €2 but I would avoid with children because they were quite sharp on the hands but hilarious experience. The birds were lovely, photo opportunity’s and little stands around to grab a snack/drink. Easy bus to get there and taxi rank with lots of taxis outside to get home easier if the bus doesn’t arrive.

Water park
Water & Amusement Parks
Aqualand Maspalomas is a top destination for families seeking aquatic fun in Maspalomas. The park offers an exciting variety of water slides and attractions suitable for all ages, ensuring a day filled with laughter and adventure. From adrenaline-pumping slides to more relaxed pools, there's something for everyone. Children can splash around in the dedicated kids' area while adults soak up the Canarian sunshine or join in on the excitement.
Me and my partner went on a Tuesday in June, turned up just after 10 expecting huge queues and needing to pay extra for fast track tickets but were suprised to find the park fairly quiet. The rides were brilliant, good mix of fast and drops. Managed to get on every ride without waiting more than 10 minutes which for a peak summer time I don’t think is bad at all. Food is on the expensive side, especially if you order a meal so we just ordered chips. Food is from what we had good quality! Numerous places to order on site. If you take the bus expect to either wait until 15:00 or have to pay for a taxi back (which was really cheap back to our hotel). Not sure if it’s always like this but the buses stopped running there in the afternoon. All round a really good water park and we really enjoyed our time there!
Nathan C — Google review
We had a fab day out here - 2 adults, 1 tall 6 year old - her favourite day of the holiday. We got on all the slides within 10 mins max. We visited on Monday 1st sept. No problem filling a whole day here. We took our own food after seeing reviews on the cost and quality of food, although had coffee and a waffle from their and were perfectly fine and not to pricey. Glad we took water shoes as this makes getting around a lot easier and can be worn on all rides. We had water proof phone cases and only had to leave our phones at the bottom of the slides with the mats (which makes sense as you lay head first on your tummy, we could take them on all others. We paid for a locker for our valuables but left all our bags with our sun loungers and these were fine. Toilets and changing facilities were good and clean. Not sure why so many negative reviews, this almost put us off but really glad we visited in the end! Prices are pretty much what you expect in these tourist places. Excellent day out!
James-Debbie M — Google review
Ah good place when it’s not to crowded. Have been here before, queuing 45 min for everything, this time was close to no queuing. With older kids you’re pretty done after 4 hours when they done everything several times. Worth to know, food is a total scam, short food for high prices where they show something at pictures that they don’t serve cause adds are extra even if it’s in display pictures. On that staff acting rude in the restaurant, they only survive cause they have monopoly
Fredrik T — Google review
Decided to visit on the last day of our holiday which happened to be a Sunday. There wasn't huge crowds of people so the wait for slides and our food was minimum which was ideal. The food is pretty expensive but that's to be expected at touristy places like this and the portion sizes and food quality is decent so there's not much to complain about in that sense - you always expect to pay those prices. You can however take your own if you'd rather so again, not much to complain about. The floor is brutal to walk on barefoot (heat and texture wise) so definitely take some kind of shoe that you can get wet and keep them on if you can! There's a good selection of slides to keep you busy and we had a great day. The lockers are 7 euros and again, we expected to pay that price for a popular tourist spot. We opted to pay an additional 10 euros for a waterproof phone case which is well worth it to keep not only your phone (great opportunity for photos) but also things like your locker ticket (you get a locker ticket which has your locker number and the pin to get in the locker) so you definitely don't want to risk getting it wet! Toilets are nice & clean and spaced out well throughout the park so you never have to walk far. Overall, you expect to pay the tourist price for the tourist attraction but we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and I would recommend it to anyone else who wants a fun day out! Buses are very simple and cheap to get there - the bus stop is outside the water park so you can't miss it!
Bethany B — Google review
We booked our tickets online for 91€ total (2 adults + 1 child, age 3). The ticket only covers entry and access to the slides, but here’s the catch: almost every activity has long waiting lines. If you want to skip the queue, you’re pushed into buying a “fast-line” bracelet for 13.50€ per person—and even then, you’ll still wait if it’s crowded. Feels like double-charging. Most slides are only suitable for people between 1.20m–1.50m, which means younger children (like my 3-year-old) can only access a handful of attractions. Out of 18 activities, only 4 or 5 were usable for us, and most of which with an adult. Parking lot costs 5€. Once inside, prepare to pay even more: • 5€ per sun lounger (per person!)—something that should really be included in the ticket price. • 7€ per locker if you don’t want to carry your valuables around. • Food is ridiculously overpriced and very limited. Expect to pay 50–60€ for a basic lunch for a family of three. The park itself is large, with a decent kids’ area, and my 3-year-old did enjoy it, and small pool for adults. But overall, the place feels like a money trap—everything costs extra, waiting times are frustrating, and the value for money is terrible.
Abdeljabbar J — Google review
Aqualand Visited middle of August 2025 its not overly bad I wouldn't return though. €35 per person for a fast pass is extremely expensive ( €140 for my family of 4 ) after spending €190 for return coach and entry. Food is expensive roughly €80 for 3 burgers, chips and drinks, 2 portions of fries and 1 cheese bites. You could complete the park in less than 2 hours but with the ques you are spending more time queuing than you are on the rides. I've been to parks I'd happily return to but for me this is a 1 time thing
Michelle I — Google review
We visited aqualand outside school holidays and had a great day. The ride wait time was at most 5 people ahead of you but mainly the walk up the many steps. It is an expensive place to visit. Food very expensive which was expected for an attraction but lockers are 7 euros, a sun bed is 5 euros per bed to use all day and if you want a set of digital photos and one print, it's another 40 euros however many pics you get which was too much for digital files. Drinks were about 5 to 7 euros for a cola or slushie. We did have a very enjoyable day only regretting one slide that felt dangerous. You went down on your front and hurt both myself and wife in the tummy as we came down. I would recommend avoiding that one. Overall it was a good day, but the additional costs and that slide took down our rating. Good recommendation is to bring your own food and drinks.
John C — Google review
Really enjoyed our trip to Aqualand. Have been to Gran Can several times in recent years and this was our first trip here, and I was pleasantly surprised. We booked our tickets as part of the 2 park package (Palmitos Park) and got a sizeable discount rather than booking both parks separately. We didn't have to queue for longer than a couple of minutes to enter. The lockers are a bit on the small side, so be mindful when packing a bag. Also if you have a waterproof pouch, bring that with you to keepnl your locker code (which is printed on paper) safe. The food is a bit on the pricy side, so bring some snacks and then get a few things from the food stall to supplement and that'll keep you going for the day. We got the 70 bus up from Campo de Golf and it was very quick, 10 mins or so, and very reasonable price wise. The amount of rides is really impressive and kept me and both my boys entertained all day. The wave pool was a favourite, every hour on the hour. All in all, an enjoyable trip and we will go back the next time we are in GC.

Sioux City Park San AUGUSTIN is a unique attraction on the island of Gran Canaria, offering visitors an immersive experience in an American Wild West town. As soon as you step into the park, you'll feel like you've been transported back in time with cowboy shows, bank robberies, and encounters with outlaws. The park features classic buildings reminiscent of those seen in Western movies and offers activities such as horseback riding and dressing up like cowboys or Indians.
A great day out at Sioux City Park. The complimentary pick up service worked really well and was on time. The park and the sets were great, quite an authentic feel given they are sets. It did evoke childhood memories of spaghetti westerns on the TV on rainy days in the UK. The entry was reasonably priced for a family of 4 when (£86). The shows were fantastic, funny and you could tell the actors were working hard. The animals were a real treat to see and as part of the show. The food was good and reasonable priced given there are no competitors. Highly recommend.
JK — Google review
The sets are very realistic. And the park may be exciting for kids, but as adults who just like western stuff - it was a bit lacking. There's a few shows a day which are funny (and they do them in a sort of Spanglish so that most the audience can follow!), but there's not much to do in between besides grab a beer in the crowded saloon. (Unless you are the actors who also run all the other services of the park - Hats off to the great staff for sure!) Would be cool if the park offered some kind of scavenger hunt (on paper or in an app - it could be done in several languages) and teach some history of the buildings and all. A shooting gallery style game would also be pretty cool. Or some line dance lessons. Something a bit more interactive or that could be done on your own time, between shows. Facilities were good - plenty of free parking, reasonably priced food/beverages (though not always enough tables to enjoy them from!)
Jenna C — Google review
A fantastic place at a great price. Upon entering the town, you feel like you've stepped back in time. It's great that you can enter the buildings to feel the atmosphere of the place. Plus, all the shows are fun and full of laughs. The saloon serves good food in a fantastic atmosphere. Thank you so much for a great time, and I highly recommend others to visit this place—it's worth it.

We've just toured the whole of Gran Canaria and Sioux City was one of our favourite days out. The immersive Wild West set, show quality and professionalism of the staff was top notch. It's great for both adults and kids.
Ricky M — Google review
We had a great day at Sioux City. There is a free bus from various locations which was a great bonus. There are shows on throughout the day which are spaced very well. They give you enough time to look around the town, (Which was originally built for the Spaghetti Western - Take a Hard Ride- staring Lee Van Cleef) in between shows. The performers were excellent, and we really appreciated their hard work. Food and drink very reasonably priced. Especially considering that there is nowhere else to go for a bite.
Michael H — Google review
Not great, not terrible. It's an experience. Kind of old humor in my opinion. The animals are awesome, tho, and also the acting lady. She's such a badass. The goats seemed a bit poorly fed. They left the impression that they are only fed with the corn that people buy for €1. It's a lovely experience to feed the animals, but I don't think that is enough food for them. Food is also below average. Don't get your expectations too high.
Adriana D — Google review
Simply lovely😀 It was perfect. Staff was really friendly, the location is beautiful and the prices are good. The show was really funny and gives you an excellent look into the wild west. Big thanks for the Stuff.
Leo F — Google review
This was an unexpected highlight of our holiday. We'd heard about it but were not to sure what to expect The shows were very good with comedy worked into the routines. The set felt very realistic to be honest and did give a propper Wild West feel to them expecially in the surrounding landscape The staff were all lovely and good at their jobs which really made it for us Before we went were were a bit worried it could be too child orentated however this is a place for all ages, we are in our late 20's and loved it, it has as much for adults as it does children My partner loved the animals as well. The baby goats were a particular highlight They also have a coach wich will take you there and back from near by areas completely free of charge

The Playa de San Agustín beach is a great place to enjoy the sun and sand with plenty of activities nearby, such as snorkeling and diving. It is usually less crowded than similar beaches on the island and is perfect for a relaxing afternoon or evening.

Only x2 & free (at the moment )public toilets! Which are located in parking lots about 500m off the beach and poorly signed - including signs facing down the wrong walk path. A big beach with a huge capacity and nothing for real public toilets to be found. What's worse a couple of glorified outhouses that self flush and are dirty and poorly maintained with no hand wash or paper. Disgusting when you think how many people normally flock here. Cafeterias are not a public service. Why it took us so long to bother coming here - little to no repairs or infrastructure upgrades that are useful or actually beneficial to public health. Today (this review date) as the weather changes (winds, drizzle, sun, winds drizzle, sun repeat) has scared away most of the normal local crowd and covid did the rest to tourism. We are here at a friends invite to meet them so the kids can play. Free Parking currently available (as the transit in the South sucks especially for family groups or if you live or are staying somewhere in the South as it only runs North South along main highway really). Tranist is expensive for any family to travel on regularly and the free parking at the moment (normally about €2 / hr) is a bonus. Free parking in most spots as covid has killed tourism so spaces available. Local friends had chosen this spot out of a nostalgia for days past. Days past due is about the best way to describe here. Aging infrastructure mixed with spot fixes and at least new foot washers and showers. Is it so difficult to install and manage good public toilets? There were x2 toilets for about 3km of beach. That should indicate you'll need at least triple the amount of toilets for people. 2 stars given as the area was clean at the time (bits of cigarettes and bottle caps) lifeguards were on patrol, and it wasn't stupid crowded as it normally is. Granted a clean beach should be easy as barely anyone was at the beach. As for the poor to no toilets, poor state of infrastructure of most signs, paint, walkways etc there is no excuse. Millions in dollars and thousands of people a day used to flow into these spaces. The toilets issues is a gigantic public health issue on these islands and not just here at this beach but every public park, space, natural area and public beach or hidden beach. Building toilets and keeping them in repair and clean needs to be addressed. Maspalomas as a whole is a giant toilet of a beaches pretending to be "natural" with the natural being poop in the water. With no proper infrastructure for the amount of beach and normal traffic its a sad joke. These beaches rarely ever remove the pay as you go beach chairs either and these pay as you go also dont come with a toilet. Lucky for this north streach of the long San Augustin / Maspalomas beaches streach the poo water current normally flows south towards Maspalomas beach so at least the water is a little cleaner. Granted the island governments never post water quality test results anywhere easy to find. For every good small repair or small addition of a an outdoor foot washer or shower they didnt add a single toilet or focus on fixing the real public health issues pre or post covid. No excuse for this except greed - what did they do with all the money that used to flow from tourism? Toilets with staff that clean, monitor and repair them such as on Playa Las Canteras in Las Palmas City to the North is possible and should have been done long ago. Here and are needed on each beach including lifeguards. Not a difficult task as peolle screaming for jobs and the governement is supposed to be investing in public health and the future. Could easily combine the existing broken infrastructure of lifeguard and medical to include toilets & disability access. Could even grab portable tempotlos if woied about the environment and make it a decontamination exercise and sell off of old gear for new tech or just tryout new tech. Wah la quality of life up, jobs up, training up, and rating stars up. Do better government and demand better people.

Nice sheltered beach and wide expanse of sand to find a space. Quieter than Playa de Ingles and Maspalomas. Nice boardwalk above the beach to stroll along.
Sue V — Google review
Nice quiet beach. A bit windy the day we visited, but the waves were nice.
Jan W — Google review
Lovely walk by the sea, great beaches a really nice place to visit.
Robert B — Google review
This was a lovely sheltered beach unlike the ones further along the coast. Worth a walk to. Sunbeds also only 9 euros for 2 with parasol.

A lovely day for our family, we have a 4 month old baby and it was great to relax here for the day. From the check-in to the time we left we were extremely impressed by all the staff, we felt so welcome and the staff were so kind to our baby. The club cared about where we should have a bed as we have a small baby which was very thoughtful. We ate lunch at Nami Sushi Bar and everything was excellent, so delicious! The 2 waiting staff - Maria and Noami were so sweet, especially with our baby and they made us feel so comfortable. Thank you for your hospitality, you were both wonderful! We had dinner at La Arroceria and ordered the veal and with mellow rice which again was so delicious! Another amazing member of waiting staff - Brenda, who was so attentive and also very sweet with our baby. She brought us a blanket to wrap around him as it got a little chilly in the evening. Another recommendation would be the Cava Sangria with red fruit, we have never had this before and we loved it! We got lucky with the sunset, it was absolutely stunning. We would absolutely come again, it was one of our favourite days of our vacation. Thank you again to all of your exceptional staff, they made our day even better than I could have expected!

Have just arrived home after an amazing week at Perchel Beach Club as a family of 6. The kids ages range from 8 to 14 & the 4 of them absolutely loved it, as did I. The view is just beautiful, the food was delicious and the staff were all fantastic especially Javi who went above and beyond for us and made us all feel so welcome. The bar staff made the nicest cocktails I've ever tasted. We will definitely be back, a great experience, thank yous so much ❤️

We had a good view to the ocean, but unfortunately there were a few negatives: very slow service and they asked us to use a bell but they never came to us when we did ring it, which was strange; there are kids areas in this beach club which made it very noisy sometimes; and the surroundings were a bit weird with a manufacturing facility next door.
Cathrine H — Google review
Absolutely amazing 😍🤩. Beautiful spa, infinity pool was lovely. Steam room and sauna were just brilliant. Great staff!. Great food, good prices £30-50 all together!.

Hidden little gem. So relaxing and chilled. Nice to not be somewhere with balls flying about or being whacked with inflatables. Snack food is reasonable - the buzzer to ring for service at the side of your Sun lounger just adds to the luxury. Staff are so attentive and quick to serve, even helped move parasol as the sun moved round. Extremely clean and well kept. Water is nice temperature and has various depths. Lots of different sun loungers/chairs to choose from - double, round, single, cabana, upstairs terrace with wicker dome, comfy padded armchairs, undercover table and sofa/chair area. The list goes on…… pure bliss.

Ate at the restaurant here and we had a nice meal on a day at the beach club. My wife's main course was not as expected unfortunately. We think it was a case of 'lost in translation '. However, the main man (manager/owner?) in charge asked if our meal was good. After explaining, he could not have been more helpful and resolved it to our satisfaction. The shrimp croquettes were unbelievably good as a starter. Thanks a lot

EDIT: The director came later to apologise and ensure the rest of our stay was good. He was very nice and assure us that this was a once or and covered our tab. Overall left happy and had a good day. ------ ORIGINAL-------- The place is nice but the service is appalling. They forgot our food when I mentioned it the waiter was condescending about it and said they had not it was just taking a while, fast forward 15 minutes when I ask another and they had missed the order entirely. Rang several times to order food and drink and no one shows up. For the price the service is truly lacking.

I was blown away by the incredible experience. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with warm hospitality and stunning views of the ocean. The facilities were top-notch, with well-maintained pools, comfortable loungers, and delicious dining options. I was particularly impressed by the level of service I received, with staff going above and beyond to ensure I had a memorable time. The beach itself was immaculate and offered the perfect spot for soaking up the sun. I would highly recommend this beach club to anyone looking for a luxury beach experience. Simply put, it's the best of the best!

Playa de Meloneras is a tranquil and family-friendly beach located in Gran Canaria's southwestern corner, near Maspalomas' sand dunes. This 500-meter stretch of soft golden sands offers plenty of space for visitors to relax and enjoy the warm, calm waters. Following a recent makeover, the area now features luxurious hotels, high-end designer shops, and a variety of seafront restaurants.
A beautiful beach just west of the Faro de Maspolomas along the boardwalk. The beach is a bit rocky, but on windy days, it does not get hit as hard as the beach area near Faro de Maspolomas. Also, there are several restaurants just off the beach.
David C — Google review
I lived on the beach and slept in a sleeping bag for a couple months in 1976 when there was no development there. Directly behind the beach was a tomato farm. A couple hundred metres or so back there was an adobe hut where a guy sold beer, wine, rum and coke. There was a small restaurant on the edge of the beach that was open in the afternoons. I washed dishes there for 300 pesetas a day, a sandwich and a half bottle of wine. I guess my review is a little dated.
Ter C — Google review
Nice quiet beach with a solid number of restaurants and ice cream. All that you need is here. Only downside are stones - the beach is mix of stones and sand. Pretty ok during high tide but tricky during low tide. But TBH we ended up on this one each time we wanted to go to a beach on the south of the island - calm winds, sunset over the ocean + not crowded at all in february :)
Pavol L — Google review
Nice little beach near various resorts. When I visited during May, most shops and restaurants were closed. It seems like off season. The beach and surrounding area is fine to visit briefly but I wouldn’t go out of your way.
Steven G — Google review
Our hotel was near this beach and I really wanted to like it more! It was very quiet. We wanted to get dinner near the beach but most places were deserted so we opted to walk to the boulevard of Playa de Maspalomas most night. Because it's in a bit of a bay area it does get less wind than Playa de Maspalomas. It might be more lively in early August/July! I do think it has a lot of potential.
Jannina — Google review
Lovely beach and surrounding area. Beach itself is great and all the restaurants and bars are much higher quality than further along the beach heading towards Playa de Ingles. Boardwalk above the beach stretches past this beach as well so lovely to stroll along. Hotels along here also higher quality. Definitely my favourite beach and area along this stretch.
Sue V — Google review
Nice sandy beach, pretty quiet, with a great variety of restaurants around. Not too busy on the beach in March! Lots of rocks and pebbles make it a great spot for photo shooting.
Boryana G — Google review
Great beach to see the sunset, but not really good to swim as there are rocks underwater.

English Beach, located on Gran Canaria's southernmost tip, is a bustling area popular with tourists due to its numerous hotels, eateries, and shopping options. The beach features a sprawling strip of biscuit-colored sand that stretches for nearly three kilometers and is adorned with unique rolling dunes. Visitors can enjoy a mix of big-name chain restaurants and independent beach bars along the shoreline. Lined with hotels and shops, this certified tourist haven attracts families and nature enthusiasts from around the world.
Wide beach with good bar facilities , with beautiful views of the famous Maspalomas dunes . On hot days a pleasantly cooling wind with ocean breeze , blowing almost always .

A nice enough beach, but was very busy on our visit. Has a few people walking up and down trying to sell you large blankets, but they didn't seem too pushy or anything. Be careful if you have small kids and are walking to the Dunes from here as part of it is a nudist beach! (Took a bit of explaining to the small people...!)
Andrew C — Google review
Of course this is not the nicest beach in Gran Canaria, Playa del Ingles in general is not that picturesque. However this beach is huge and the coastline goes on for miles. As a result you get a lot of privacy and can sit peacefully without sitting on top of anyone else. And yes, some parts of the beach are nude, but they’re usually hidden and no one’s walking around flashing anyone! The beach was clean and the water was a beautiful blue colour. If you’re staying at a nice resort here, this beach will do, but personally I’d stay near Puerto Rico / Amadores where the beaches are more ethereal. Of course, you can always take the public bus there :)
Noemi — Google review
Great beach, nice smooth entry in the ocean. Only downside are toilets as they are not available? Not sure as I’ve tried a few places and they charge to use(fair enough) but council should do something close to the beach even with money. As nudist we haven’t seen as we were close to jet skying and no issues there.
Cosmin-Alexandru B — Google review
If you’re looking for a more commercial beach close to higher-end hotels, this is the place for you. The famous dunes are just a short walk away and perfect for a stroll. If you like to have everything available on-site and don’t enjoy carrying extra stuff with you, this beach is definitely a good fit.
J. K — Google review
Nice beach. Beds available to rent. Nice restaurants and pubs plus shops. A lovely evening almost tropical buzz to the place. Good car parking albeit pay mostly and right beside an excellent Hard Rock Cafe. It could be one of the most relaxing chilled days you need. But as always, watch your drinks cos you never know
Tina D — Google review
A fabulously huge beach and sand dunes leading to Maspalomas. Oh and beware of the naked German's! LoL
Andrew F — Google review
Beach Experience in Gran Canaria! 🏝️ This beach is fantastic! The sand stretches for miles, perfect for long walks and sunbathing. The water is clear, calm, and great for swimming. Food options nearby are excellent, with fresh seafood and tasty local dishes at reasonable prices. The atmosphere is lively but friendly, and people are welcoming. Definitely a must-visit for anyone exploring Gran Canaria!

Playa de las Burras is a wide sandy beach known for its calm waters and lively promenade. The area offers various bars, restaurants, and nearby lodging options. Visitors can enjoy a leisurely stroll along the beachfront or take a refreshing dip in the sea. The beach is situated near San Agustin beach, separated by a picturesque rocky headland.
Clean beach with place for everyone. We found vacant comfortable sunchairs. 3,50 for one. Possible to rent water Jets and pedal boats. The small simple taverna is worth standing in line for. Perfect fresh dorada for two, 20€. Tide was low, and water shallow for many meters. Maybe 19+, quite chilly in late desember. Reccomend this playa, and the East asian woman who do massages. She walks around, a little afraid of Police though. She said massage in Playa del Ingles is more expencive, on the beach!

We found this beach had a nice feel to it, and the kids decided this was where we were going to build sandcastles! The area is much shorter in length than some of the neighbouring beaches, but much deeper / wider. We walked up the adjoining coastal path a little to view the crabs climbing over the rocks!
Andrew C — Google review
Love to visit the beach during the day on weekdays as it's not over crowded like weekends. Dark golden sandy beach and so smooth to walk. The area itself isn't big but there are beaches along the coast. The long promenade leads you way to the dunes. There would be some staff cleaning the beach which is nice but people shall be aware of litters and shall behave properly as grow up adults. Avoid weekends is only my recommendation, too over crowded and wouldn't be able to find spot for yourself.
Daisy S — Google review
Nice beach and less crowded than Playa de Ingles and Maspalomas. Boardwalk stretches right along this section so easy to walk to from other sections of the coast along here.
Sue V — Google review
Black and hot sand, tepid and calm water. Normal to see women with topless so if that's an issue for you be aware.
Helder S — Google review
Nice beach with sun-beds, very large and pretty long but is not supervised (no lifeguards, at least during the time I was there). There is also a small kiosk nearby which is selling snacks and ice cream.
Radu H — Google review
A very central beach that is not too crowded. The beach is clean and the water is very clear. Especially the large waves make it so fun to go for a dip. Also there aren’t many chairs/sun beds so perfect if you prefer to lay on the ground.
Laura ( — Google review
A little less crowded - Impossible to avoid heaving crowds in the area in July, but this sizable beach was half as busy as any we've encountered so far and arriving early by car from Mogan we had a nice spot near the rocks. The water is churned up into a dusky beige but it's shallow and perfect for a modest dip. We found no toilets save up above - Behind the Spar and our car park (about 5 EUR for 3 hrs). Strange to watch the streams of Dunks hotel guests doing their constitutional walk across the beach and back. Lots of Spanish on beach which can't be bad.
