Beaches
Cala Gran is a picturesque sheltered inlet with a sandy beach, surrounded by resorts and offering umbrellas and a designated swimming area. It is part of the Cala Dor beach destination, featuring five kilometers of coastline with various coves such as Cala Sa Nau, Cala Mitjana, Cala Serena, and Cala Esmeralda. The beach boasts fine sand and rock, clear waters, small cliffs, and pine trees.
The beach has fine sand without any stones and is quite clean. The sea is also free of stones. There's no dedicated parking lot, but it's easily accessible right next to the road, and you can park on the side of the road. There are restaurants and bars. I imagine it gets pretty crowded during peak season, as the beach is small, but it's quite pleasant outside of the busy season like now. There are cliffs around the beach and designated areas for jumping into the water. I recommend it.
Darko A — Google review
Crystal water, nice people, pleasant experience. One bunch of non-friendly group that appeared as local youngsters around the beach 🏖 but no problems
Baltiq V — Google review
A perfect beach to enjoy with kids—crystal clear water, soft sand, clean surroundings, and easy access. I visited early in the morning, and it was peaceful, with just a few people around. Spent some quality time there, and after a swim, took a short 3-minute walk to Cafetería Neptuno, which opens at 7:30 AM, for a nice coffee. Just a heads-up—it might get crowded during the peak summer months (we went in mid-May)
Niruphan R — Google review
best beach in the area for me. crystal clear water, good for snorkeling too. better than mondragò IMO
Fabio E — Google review
Zhe beach is small but has wonderful sand and even nicer water. Perfect for children and bathing fun. Close to the center of Cala d'or. It can get dangerously crowded here and then the fun is severely restricted.
Tassilo K — Google review
Terribly crowded with people from the surrounding hotels, much more crowded than other beaches I’ve been too. People threw trash in the water - don’t recommend we wasted a day here
Alexa Y — Google review
A big, spacious cala with beautiful clear water 💖
Aleksandra J — Google review
A lovely seaside. The best plage for snorkeling compared to other close beaches(cala d’or, cala ferrera). The depth of the sea is generally even.

Cala Serena is one of the many beautiful coves along a five-kilometer stretch of coastline. It is surrounded by other stunning beaches like Cala Sa Nau, Cala Mitjana, and Cala Gran. The fine sand and rocky shores of Cala Gran are complemented by its clear waters and small cliffs. Meanwhile, Cala Esmeralda gets its name from the mesmerizing blue-green color that the sea takes on when it catches the sunlight.

Public beach
Cala Esmeralda is a small but charming beach located near Cala d'Or in the southeast of Mallorca. It offers crystal-clear turquoise waters and is surrounded by a picturesque cove. Despite its size, it's a great spot for sunbathing and enjoying the stunning views.
Mesmerising view and amazing waters🐠☀️ Deep blue water, every color of turquoise. Since the bay is in a secluded area, there are not many waves, swimming is enjoyable. You can rent a sunbed from the hotel. Of course, Inturotel occupies the entire bay, but you can find 2 restaurants and a toilet.

Visited in May. Easy access by public bus from Palma, surrounded by hotels so mainly tourists but calm and safe for solo female travellers like me. The weather seemed great in the morning (pic taken at around 10) and a few hours later it turned into gale, be prepared for changing weather. Otherwise great, would choose it again and again.
Alexandra B — Google review
A beautiful Cala with a small beach club overlooking the sea with excellent views. Clean toilets and shower, surrounded by the beautiful Esmeralda group hotels. This Cala is particularly charming in the evening for an evening swim and far less busy, even in peak season. Highly recommend coming here from 7pm if you want the beach mostly to yourself.
SEVEN T — Google review
Beautiful beach, great for families but sadly (I’m guessing due to the size) this one doesn’t offer sunbeds. Fine if you are happy to put down a towel or use your own beach tent and chill for the day. Makes up for it with the beauty of the place, we arrived early to get a good spot and found the beach being used for a morning yoga session, which was lovely to sit and listen to 🧘🏻‍♀️. I felt it was the most stunning beach in the area. There was a little cafe at the top but we didn’t use it as didn’t stay long enough to need it.
Herts M — Google review
One of the most adorable Cala in Mallorca. The water is turquoise, the trees and rocks surrounding it create a really tranquil experience. The beach itself it’s rather small, but sandy and clean. A really great restaurant is close by, and a local selling fresh fruits.
Paulina J — Google review
We went to Cala Esmeralda hoping to find the old fruit guy from TikTok (thanks, internet), but no luck 😔 probably because we came in the afternoon. We also stopped by Cala d’Or since ChatGPT said he’s usually between the two. Still no fruit man.😔 It was super crowded, and to make things worse, it started raining. But honestly? The beach is really cute. Surprisingly, not too many TikTok-style influencers around, maybe because it was later in the day and that actually made it nicer. The whole area feels very rich and polished, in the best way. It’s really, really beautiful, and I’d definitely go back, hopefully next time with sun… and fruit man😜
Lara — Google review
It's a really tough call but Cala Esmeralda is got to be the best Cala in the town! The clarity of the water is on another level with lots of different types of fishes. The beach is conveniently located, not so crowded, and has lots of space! If you are in Cala d'Or, you have to experience this one!! Swimming here with the fishes has to be one of my most incredible memories ever!
Ramakrushna S — Google review
This would be a nice beach, unfortunately the water was very dirty today (nature dirt but also micro plastics). Keep in mind that it’s a family beach so there are lots of children.

Lovely marina lined with resturants and bars. Everything from sandwiches and coffee, pizza and pasta, steak and tex mex to high end meals . There are boat rentals available. At the top of the marina is a large supermarket.

I really loved this place as we visited it as part of a holiday for my wife's 40th birthday. There is plenty to do and plenty to see with many shops, restaurants, bars and more. The sights are fantastic and we decided to hire a boat for 2 hours (without needing a boating license) which was an absolute highlight. We toured the surrounding bays in the freedom of the ocean whilst admiring the pleasant coastal and beach views. Would definitely recommend anyone visiting Cala d'Or to make a visit. You won't be disappointed and will enjoy your holiday even more. The staff of the shops and restaurants are very helpful and locals will try to help you if you get stuck. You can get taxis to and from very easily and there is a road train and buses too. Nearby parking is available for anyone driving by car. Go and explore for yourself! 👍🏻

Diferent is a bistro in Cala d'Or offering tapas, paellas, and pan-Asian dishes in a convivial atmosphere with al fresco tables. The restaurant provides an authentic Mallorcan experience in an intimate and exclusive setting. Its terrace overlooks the center of Cala d'Or and can accommodate up to 40 guests. The menu features predominantly Mediterranean cuisine with some international favorites. Visitors can expect generous portions and tasty dishes, including poke bowls and brisket.
A Meal to Remember! Truly "Different" and Absolutely Worth the Journey. My wife, Sara, and I decided to take a trip down to Cala d'Or from our home in Alcudia last Thursday evening, specifically to visit "Different". We had done a bit of research on Google Maps beforehand, and the restaurant looked promising. I am delighted to say it exceeded all our expectations. From the moment we arrived, we were impressed. A very helpful and welcoming waitress showed us to our table, and we had a moment to take in the surroundings. The restaurant itself is stunning, with a beautiful design both inside and out that creates a wonderful atmosphere. As lovely as the setting was, the food was undoubtedly the main event. We both opted for dishes from their oriental-style menu. I chose the Pad Thai, which was fresh, flavourful, and absolutely amazing. However, the real star of the show was my wife's belly pork. She was completely blown away, declaring it the best meal she has had in over 20 years of living in Mallorca! That is high praise indeed, and it was clear to see why – the presentation was superb and she savoured every single bite. It is safe to say that our trip was a resounding success. "Different" offers a fantastic dining experience with exceptional food and great service in a beautiful setting. We will certainly be returning the next time we are in the area. Highly recommended!

We had such a great time dining at Diferent in Mallorca, we even went back several times! The food was delicious, with something for everyone, and the atmosphere was so fun and welcoming. Plus, the location in Cala d’Or is absolutely beautiful. Definitely a must-visit!
Jill W — Google review
3/6 - We've been saved, food was great, more overpriced than Soy, but so much better. Also had local beers, also great. Seating was a bit cramped, but manageable. Service was good, but can be better. Overall a nice spot, good vibes and great food.
Jaunne L — Google review
The waitress managed to find us an outside table for our party of 4 even though they were very busy. We got the nachos to share as a starter which was enough as it was a large portion and wete very nice with the homemadeguacamole. The pizza and the ribs were nice but the tuna in the salad was raw and the chicken in the fajitas was all fatty and did not taste very good.
Daniel G — Google review
The Food was outstanding the chefs can cook anything well from Thai & indonesian, spanish, english take your pick. It was very busy, staff were great, vigilant and calm under pressure. Couldn't rate it enough. On the expensive side but it is well worth it 👌

Can’t fault at all - delicious food, fantastic service and a really nice atmosphere in the centre of Cala D’or. We had the ribs and shared some sangria, perfect for a date night and all staff were super friendly and attentive. Muchas gracias 🙏🏼
Rio-Alexandrea B — Google review
A bit of a mixed experience. Service was quick and the staff were friendly, which I appreciated. We ordered carbonara, nachos, a bao bun, beer, and tap water. The carbonara was fairly average, though the rest of the food was a little better. The issue came with the water. We specifically asked for tap water twice and both servers said “yes.” What we were given was clearly tap water: an open refillable glass bottle with a cube of ice in a glass. At the end, however, we noticed we had been charged €3.95 each for “Aqua.” When I questioned it, they said they don’t serve tap water. If that’s the case, the staff should be upfront and explain that instead of just agreeing. On top of that, the air conditioning unit was dripping on me, and the fan above was covered in dust, an easy fix but not a great impression. It’s only €8, but if this happens to every customer who asks for tap water, it adds up quickly.
Rob A — Google review
We had a fantastic experience at Restaurant Different in Cala d’Or! The food was absolutely excellent – every dish was full of flavour and beautifully presented. But what truly made our visit special was the service. We went there on our second evening, and the team immediately recognised us from the evening before. They were so kind and welcoming, and even though it was busy, they did everything they could to get us a table as quickly as possible. IG @differentrestaurant

Really recommend this place. Good food, service, fair prices. If you come before 6 pm, you all pay for all you can eat 23,5€ p.p. Come there again!
Anna — Google review
Attentive staff, good atmosphere and tasty food. Only the portions are rather small considering the price. Unlimited tapas or the chefs 10 tapas deal is probably much better value, but this is aimed at couples or groups so it gets rather expensive as a single
Pavel T — Google review
I simply had to revisit Tapas Y Mas whilst in Cala D’Or. Last year I went with family although this time as a solo traveller I tried the unlimited tapas for around €25 and what a great way to spend a couple of hours. You order two tapas at a time which was a great to space out the dishes and enjoy each bite! I also ordered the Cava Sangria which was a lovely accompaniment. The photos say it all really 😉 😋 Finally loved the Spanish music which enhanced the ambience too. Can’t wait to go bk!
Liz — Google review
Amazing food that is appreciated by both foodies (me and my wife) and our kids. The service is excellent, with perfect English speaking waiters, and attentive service. Most of the time, as soon as we finished a drink or a tapa, we were approached by the attentive staff to check on us. The quality of the food was way beyond anything else we tried in Cala D'Or, and we tried some ten restaurants during our week there. The food at Tapas Y Mas was not only excellent, the pricing and location were also attractive. We went here twice during our week in Mallorca, and we will certainly come back. As can be seen on the pictures, we tried quite a few of the tapas, the beer and the white sangria. Having San Miguel (the premium Spanish beer) on tap is also a seal of excellence - most other restaurants have either Mahou or Cruzcampo, which are the second-tier beers (still good though) of Spain.
Stefan S — Google review
Loved this place so much, was a random find and I’ve no idea why it wasn’t booked out cause it was amazing. We got the chefs special tapas and enjoyed every bit of it tbh! Great atmosphere and staff were extremely attentive and lovely!

Delicious food. We went for the all you can eat that that serve during certain times. They have a nice selection of tapas that are absolutely beautiful in presentation and flavor. The sangrias are something that you should try, especially the white one. The staff was super. Make sure to ask for the all you can eat menu, as it is different from the regular one. Everyone in Cala Dor should go there at least twice a week. Lovely atmosphere. Doesn’t make sense the number of bad reviews. I would recommend.

Bar
Mollys Irish Bistro & Bar is a hidden gem located just 10 minutes from the marina in Cala d'Or. This Irish pub offers generous portions, especially during their Sunday and Wednesday roasts featuring beef, pork, and turkey with ample gravy. Despite some service delays, the quality of the food is top-notch with delicious meats and hearty servings. The warm and welcoming atmosphere adds to the charm of this little piece of Ireland in Cala d'Or.
Wow!! Rather than post photos of the food, decided to post photos of the empty plates! Why? Because the food was that bloody delicious and everyone in our group ate everything! Plenty of photos on reviews of the quality and quantity of the food and I can honestly say the Sunday roasts we had were delicious. Really generous portions, tender meat, tasty vegetables and awesome gravy and that’s why there’s photos of empty plates!! Bloody lovely and highly recommended.
Martin T — Google review
We booked ahead for Sunday dinner, just as well as the place is very popular! Lovely roast, I had lamb with roast and mashed potatoes plus cabbage, carrots, cauliflower cheese, and a small Yorkshire pudding, served of course with landings of mint sauce along with gravy! The lamb was beautiful, very tender and lots of it. Half a Guinness was a little pricey at €5 though a full pint was only €7.50 so maybe should have gone big! Puddings looked nice but could not contemplate waring one after the massive roast!
Val B — Google review
What a brilliant pub & restaurant. We went twice as the first time was so good. Sunday roast is a must. Good food, service & atmosphere. Music on most nights but they're closed on Mondays. You have to dine there
Davena K — Google review
Sunday roast, there is more on the menu but nothing much, I had beef the wife had lamb, mine was very average 3 big chunks of meet but 1 was so hard I had to leave it. Mash was lumpy, roast potatoes where not cooked through, Yorkshire pud was OK and gravy was excellent. Had to go for a sweet and got appel crumble that was great. €70 for it all including drinks expensive for what we got. My main last night was €2 more and on the harbour 10 times better No entertainment no atmosphere not worth it in my opinion
Sean M — Google review
After a short walk up a hill we arrived at this Irish bar. 7.30 ish, not over busy but a few in. Shown to the table and drinks ordered. Menu was good, what you'd call pub food in England My wife ordered steak pie and I opted for the lighty batter fish & chips The food was excellent, hot, tasty and plenty off it 10 out of 10 Sadly we were trying to kill 2 birds with one stone and stay for live music, but none on....disappointing 😪 Bill paid we left Ps, they do ask for cash payment but card is allowed

Nice Sunday lunch , it this what let them down a bit as not enough ppl as in waiting staff .Our meal would of been fantastic if only our veg bowl to go with our meats was hot ( stone cold ) then there was the wait , and wait for it to return. Spoilt the meal to be honest as food nearly finished by time it EVENTUALLY arrived .Delish meat ,top quality you can obviously tell and plenty of it ( mum had beef I had lamb ,tbf would of liked more of it but its cost lamb does ) but hey ho .Pricey for a Sunday lunch but it's quality stuff so u don't mind as a 1 off treat .pls get more staff or stop overbooking as some ppl are getting left by the wayside ! 🫣 We was going to go bk and try the rest of things on menu, but my mum has a bad knee and only tho it was a 10 min walk from our hotel the heat was too much for her ,but would definitely go bk . Thank you again for our booking and meal ,have a fab season all at Mollys

Ca's Brau is a great value for money restaurant located in Cala d'Or. The service is quick and accommodating to allergens, with substantial portions and excellent flavors. The fried squid and chorizo are particularly delicious. The sangria is highly recommended, and the prices are pleasantly surprising given the area. It's a must-visit spot for fresh tapas, amazing paella, great wines, and strong sangria in a comfortable atmosphere away from the touristy areas.
We ate tapas at this restaurant twice while staying in Cala Dor, went back the second time as food was so good so fresh, the mr said the sardines where the best he'd ever had, and is still dreaming of the peanut sauce which came over the chicken skewers, for me, the padron peppers and garlic prawns. Well worth the visit

Ca’s Brau is a real gem in Cala d’Or. The place is spotless and well-kept, creating a welcoming atmosphere from the start. The staff are friendly, attentive, and very efficient, making the whole experience smooth and enjoyable. Located in a quiet area, it’s a great spot to relax away from the busier parts of town. The drinks are large, well-made, and delicious, and the tapas are absolutely outstanding, full of flavor and beautifully prepared. Prices are reasonable and in line with the local market, offering good value for the quality. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area!

If you’re considering going here, GO!!!!! Our favourite meal in all of Cala D’or. We wish we found it sooner as we would’ve come every night!!! The staff are so lovely and helpful and the Tapas was divine. Very reasonably priced too. We had the bread, padron peppers, chorizo in cider, fried anchovies and patatas bravas and i can’t fault any of this. 10/10 thank you so much!! Omg and the Sangria, truly is the best we have had in mallorca!!!

We popped in for a drink when on holiday in July and sat outside, as my son was looking in the shops opposite. The place looks like its well established, homely and welcoming and looks like a family run affair. I went to pay the bill but had no cash and the owner pointed out a minimum card spend of €20. So I ordered some tapas- grilled Octopus and deep fried anchovies and they were absolutely delicious, so much so my son refused to share the anchovies after I'd tried a couple! When the owner asked if everything was OK, I told him the food was fantastic, and thanked him for having a minimum card spend!! 😂 Coming back next year, because we want to try more of their delicious tapas on the menu.

Nestled in the heart of town, Barlovento is a delightful spot for those craving authentic Spanish cuisine. This charming restaurant stands out among other local gems like Can Trompe, known for its Mallorcan specialties, and La Bodega, a must-visit tapas bar. If you're near the marina, don't miss Prosper Chinese Kitchen and Noa Restaurant for exquisite Asian flavors.
The best restaurant in Cala D'or! Quality of the food is on the highest level! Staff is amazing! Incredible, friendly, always smiling and happy. We love the owner Lorenzo, and Sebastian and also the rest of the staff. We appreciate the atmosphere and the approach to the customer. We stopped looking for any other places to eat. Highly recommend to everyone!
Piotr K — Google review
Extortionately priced tasteless, greasy microwave tapas. We were a group of 6 adults, 2 children and 1 baby. We all decided to have the tapas sharing boards (1 board between 2 people) for €44 and for that you got 1/3 of the board filled with tortilla chips which had a dusting of chopped peppers and onions and a teaspoon of guacamole, chewy calamari (with no dip), 4 meatballs, a handful of pardon peppers which were greasy, 4 chicken wings which were grey in colour and tasteless and patatas bravas. We were surprised by how little we were served for the price and at no point during our meal did a waiter/waitress from the restaurant ask how our food was. When the plates were taken away we complained over the quality and quantity of the food. Nothing further was said or done by Barlovento until we received the bill. When we queried the bill and our disappointment due to our food being so poor and half eaten, the waiter was extremely aggressive and threatened to call the police if we didn’t pay the bill. We asked this waiter if we could speak to the owner/manager to which his response is that they were not in that evening - I now know from looking at other google reviews this extremely rude and aggressive individual is the so called “owner” (photo attached). If you want good tapas or even palatable please do not waste your hard earned money on Barlovento’s tasteless, overpriced, greasy, microwave tapas!! Do better Barlovento. Atmosphere rated 3/5 stars as we had a nice table and what’s not to love about eating outside in Cala D’or!

Avoid avoid avoid!! Last night of holiday the worst meal of the whole week! The waiters couldn't care if you were there or not! There are plenty of better places to experience and with an atmosphere! All 6 of us laughed when we left we couldn't believe how bloody awful it all was!

We had a dinner in Barlovento last month when visiting Cala d’Or. I had fish dish and my partner ordered a steak. His dish was on a small side nevertheless tasty and mine was delicious! We did like the restaurant, it was clean and atmospheric. The only downside was a little bit slow service but this could be put on the fact if was very busy. Overall we would recommend!

We ate here a number of times during our recent holiday. The food was very good and reasonably priced, especially compared to some of the other nearby restaurants. Also, the staff were very friendly.
Louise B — Google review
This was an enjoyable experience with good food and friendly staff. Nothing like the negative reviews I've read here. The food combinations were well thought of and everything tasted fresh, and was served to appropriate temperature. The avocado and prawns with cocktail sauce was a true piece of art (almost too pretty to eat). The grilled salmon was tasty, I also really enjoyed the vegetables on the side, which I hadn't gotten at any restaurant here before. Would eat here again 👍

I’m the food was 10/10. I had grilled squid and my partner has mixed grill ( he loves meat and he knows what he wants) he Loved it! My squid was juicy and Yummy 🤤 Service was on point! We also had wine for 19.5o euros, was the best we had so far. For desert, we had churros with vanilla ice cream… is to die for. Ps: I don’t understand the 3.8 reviews!

I ordered the chicken and pork skewer - chicken was chewy and both meats tasted off. I was unable to eat my meal. Service was rushed like they wanted the table back before we had even finished our drinks. This was the only bad meal of our holiday.

Cala Egos is a charming inlet with a sandy beach, embraced by hotels and boasting stunning blue-green waters that are perfect for snorkeling. The village is divided into three districts, each offering various facilities and attractions suitable for the whole family. Visitors can enjoy the beautiful beaches and coves with turquoise waters such as Cala Gran, Cala Serena, and Cala Esmeralda. For those seeking natural swimming pools among the rocks, Cala Egos offers an ideal spot.
Absolutely picturesque cala. Gorgeous blue waters. We were lucky, barely anyone there in early April - must be low season. An easy walk from Cala D'Or, and well worth it. Cannot recommend enough. Bring your towel, down water and just chill
Roque S — Google review
a gorgeous place, the beach is a bit small which means you have to come early to get a spot, the water gets very deep so if you don't know how to swim I don't recommend it
Eric P — Google review
Free entry. One of the cleanest waters. Amazing place to snorkel. Go on the cliffs and dive from the locations there. Stairs are available to climb back and you can also jump and dive. There is also a bus nearby which is great. Loved this place.
Alaa A — Google review
Stunning cove with beautiful clear water & lots of fish. Very small sandy beach which can be quite cramped at times especially this season (2025) as the local council decided to install beach umbrellas & sunloungers for hire which has taken up 60% of the small 20x50 metre public beach (disgraceful). Path besides the hotel gives access to the public beach. Otherwise lots of steps. No public toilets & no longer has beach lifeguard(2025). Top half of beach is owned by the hotel & is for guest use only. Beautiful beach which has been spoilt. Cala d' Pou (Follow signs for Es Forti) beach is a 5 min walk from small local shopping/restaurant area. This beach is bigger & better situated with safe shallow water & wheelchair/child buggy accessible with all amenities. Cala Egos is a safe, peaceful family suburb of Cala D'or. Cala D'or has a marina & many beautiful sandy beach coves with all amenities & restaurants, shops & hotels close by. Cala Egos has a small street market (outside shopping area)selling arts & crafts etc on Thursday evenings in season. The "Ting Ting Train" has many stops around the area & goes into Cala D'or & return circular route at regular, scheduled times during the season. Otherwise 30min walk or taxi/bus (515) from shopping area. (⚠️ Cala Egos & Cala D'Egos are two different resorts!!)

Amazing place, easy access, restaurant close to the beach, different spot to stay for everyone, not so many space to park, try to get early!
Filipe C — Google review
Beach was busy, but ample parking even in late August right near the beach. Water looked a little murky but I think it was just the day we went. The two hotels take away from it a little and not really easy to swim off the rocks only at the small beach. Still had space on the beach for more people so a good option for an easy stop.
Raymond I — Google review
Very beautiful and very tiny. We went there for a walk. Otherwise, it is squeezed between two hotels. I think it will be a nightmare during the day. In the evening there were few people.
Kremena A — Google review
A beautiful little beach with soft sand. We came here on Monday afternoon and first of all most of the beach was covered in shade, and second - there was a lot of empty space to lay down. Both things were great, if you ask me. It's surrounded by hotels with pools so it looks like most of the people just stay by their pools. Very soft sand, very soft and shallow walk into the water, great for kids. Plenty of fish and other sea creatures - great for snorkeling. The only thing - there may be a jelly fish or two, so be careful. Overall - one of the best beaches we have been to at Mallorca.

Playa Cala Gran is the largest of Cala d'Or's five beaches, featuring a 40m stretch of fine, white sand and clear blue waters. The beach holds Blue Flag status and offers amenities such as sun loungers, parasols, and a play area for children. Visitors can enjoy snorkeling and paddleboat rentals in the famously turquoise water.
It is a nice sandy beach with clear water. We visited in May. Rented paddle board from nearby shop and did paddling. Also noted some jet ski and boats around. Since we arrived late afternoon, it seemed busy but still has a few spots to chill on the beach. Has a facility for free showers. Also seemed to have toilets but didn't get to use.
Mkpink001 — Google review
Great sandy beach, but gets really busy with not so many places to sit nearby the water later on. On a positive note, there is shower, places to have some food, hence kid-friendly. Also good for snorkeling, but stay close to the rocks as there is quite a traffic of boats coming in & out.
Qner Q — Google review
The water is clean with so many fishes. The beach is a bit crowded (sunday). Also bars, shower, toilets are around. We liked this place.
Lütfi B — Google review
Gorgeous beach, lovely shallow water, sun beds available each with a safe and umbrella (€17 per bed per day at time of posting) but PLEASE NOTE THEY ONLY TAKE CASH. We found out the hard way, and since we had only intended to stay at the beach for an hour or two we vacated the sun beds and left. Cafe had nice food and good choice, but the staff were very rude and short with us, despite us trying to be polite and ordering in Spanish. Don’t let that out you off though, was a lovely morning in a great location 🏖️
Herts M — Google review
Lovely beach, beautiful water. I fell in love with the views and just the still and clear water. It's naturally quite crowded but still pleasant to stay a while.
Liener B — Google review
Beautiful sandy beach with cliffs on the surrounding area and pine trees. The water is super clear and blue (and clean). Water temperature in the end of September was 25°C. Limited parking space, better for those staying nearby. There are lifeguards. People should take the cigarettes away woth them, better yet, they should forbid smoking at the beach considering smokers don't clean after themselves.

Es Fortí and Cala des Pou are two small coves located about 2km outside of Cala Dor, offering white sand, palm trees, and clear waters for a peaceful beach experience. Es Fortí is a historical fort built in 1740 to protect the coastline from pirates. Although it was destroyed by an earthquake in 1793, it has been rebuilt and stands as a historical site today.
This was 3km from my hotel, but it was worth the walk on a hot evening. The view and sunset were amazing! I also recommend walking out on the rocks in front of the fort for even better sunset photos.

10min walk from our accommodation, nice little place to visit, free to enter, only a small building probably pointless to some people but it's worth visiting anyway as the views are great and it's only up the street from a beautiful cove with restaurant and collection/ drop off point for the starfish catamaran.

What a hidden jem..I took to walking whilst away on our holiday, finding the beaches of Cala D'or,seeing Es Forti on my map i decided to head that way,not quite making it on my first attempt. 2nd time around the day was a little bit cooler,so off i went again. Heading up from the harbour, following the road to Cala Egos, quick stop.i found the map, back on track, then there it was, this small fort on the head land. The views were great, the sea was a little rough that day,so sat watching the boats go out. I'm not sure who built it,i guess it was a defence post in it's time? But what a place to see.. If you are in the area, then you must pay a visit.

Cala Petita, also known as Cala Dor beach and Golden Bay, is a small tropical paradise with white sands and tranquil waters. Located closest to the marina at Cala Dor, visitors can enjoy exploring the harbor and admiring the impressive boats that dock there. While it may get crowded at times, it is less so compared to nearby beaches like Cala Gran and Cala Esmeralda.
Beautiful little beach, super convenient -and clean- public toilet and showers super close and nice vibe overall.
Liener B — Google review
It is smaller than Cala Gran, so there are fewer children. It is also easier to access than Cala Esmeralda. The sea is always perfect in Cala D'Or. This was my favorite beach.

Cala Petita is a beautiful small beach with crystal-clear turquoise water, perfect for relaxing and swimming. The cove is picturesque and peaceful, though it can get a bit crowded at times. Conveniently, there's a shop nearby for snacks and drinks, making it an easy spot to spend a few hours.
Sladjana M — Google review
One of the most beautiful beaches in Mallorca with clean sand and Crystal clear waters! If you are planning to visit Mallorca, spending the day at this beach is definitely worth it!
Doreen K — Google review
I always like coming to this little cove despite always being busy. There’s just something mesmerising about the place. No matter the time of the day, it’s always likely going to be packed. But don’t despair, be patient as either someone is about to leave or you may be able to find a tiny spot for you to seat. I get it, it’s not for everyone especially if you like your own private space, but once you settled, it’s definitely worth it. The water is really pristine with a clear blue tone. My advice (if you can): try to sit on the left side of the beach (when facing water) so that when the sun starts to come down, you’ll still enjoy it while the rest of the beach will be in the shades. Note: there is a restaurant onsite, showers and toilets
Renaud B — Google review
Hands down my favorite cala in Cala d’Or! This spot is the most picturesque by far—with stunning rocky cliff and scale that lead directly into the crystal-clear sea, wrapping beautifully around the beach. It’s also the top choice for sunbeds and beach club vibes. Whether you’re here to relax or soak up the scenery, this cala truly has it all.
Philippe B — Google review
Less crowded cala than Cala Gran, picturesque and petite! Easy to find a place even in the afternoon rush. Lots of fishes near the beautiful rock structures on the edges. And the water is magical as you would come to expect in almost all the Calas in Cala d'Or.

Amusement park
Fantasy Park Cala D'Or is a charming little amusement area nestled next to the Inturotel Esmeralda Gardens hotel, perfect for families looking to entertain their kids. While visiting, you might encounter some jellyfish at nearby Cala Ferrera during spring and summer due to tidal movements. At Fantasy Park, children can enjoy mini motorbikes and cars for a quick five-minute ride with just one coin—ideal for kids up to 10 years old.
If you're looking for a place where the kids can burn off some energy before or after dinner, this spot certainly does the job. However, I have to say that the equipment isn't the best—some parts feel a bit worn and could use an update. Also, you'll need to keep a close eye on the kids at all times, as the layout requires a bit of extra supervision. Despite these points, it's still a decent option for letting the little ones run around and blow off some steam

I would like to say a big thanks to the kind and honest staff who found my sons wallet last week whilst on our holidays in Cala D'or! We lost it one night and enquired the following day. They had found it whilst cleaning up and kept it safe. The money and chain were all there, my son was so happy! The facilities are also great, we used them daily!

Good fun. A bit short time on the karts
Finn H — Google review
Kids had a great time. They loved the bouncy castle which was €5 for unlimited play, the bungy jumper trampolines were really high and each child was given a good 10 mins of jumping time. The go kart cars were great for €2 but watch out as it can be dangerous getting off as the other cars are still flying around.
Tara C — Google review
Located next door to the Inturotel Esmeralda Gardens hotel, this little corner Park has some mini motorbikes and cars operated by paying €1 coin, the ride gives only 5 minutes of use and doesn't go particularly fast and is suitable for children up to the age of 10, a faster go-cart track can be found down the road in opposite the Farmacia on Carrer De s'Espalmador. There's a trampoline pen that allows the more adventurous and experienced user on a trampoline without any security ropes. I have seen three or four teens nearly fall out of the netting and that could have been nasty and given them injuries which would have seen them go to hospital but would have cost a fortune in Spain to have been treated. There's a quad scaffold type of harness trampoline which is especially good for children between the age of 4 and 14 to use. You purchase 10 minutes for €10, of trampolining which is both assisted with the belay system that's used to secure the child so they can't fall off or fall outside of the actual trampoline area. On the other side of the play park, there are two giant inflatables which allow children as much playtime as they would like for only €5. A mini bar and snack bar for the parents to sit and watch their children whilst they spend their money, with a few smaller games and rides for children up to the age of 4 years old take up the remainder of the park. Overall you will find that there's three or 4 of these types of parks in the resort of Cala door, Majorca. A parent can get through €20 to €30 in no time, whilst their child is entertained for an hour.

One of the highlights of Cala d'Or is Happy Park, an amusement park that offers a variety of activities for all ages. One of the main attractions are the calas, which are beautiful coves with crystal-clear blue waters and pristine white sand beaches. Families with children will especially enjoy this park as there are plenty of options to keep the little ones entertained. From trampolines to bouncy castles, there is something for everyone.
Brilliant place, my kids are 12 and 10 and wanted to visit every day (which became pretty expensive!). Staff were very friendly and helpful, €6 each for the trampolines, €4 each for unlimited time on the bouncy castles. They make a mean mojito too which is a bonus. Would definitely recommend to any families, easy to spend a 1-2 hours 👌

What a great little park with activities for the kids. Reasonable prices too. $6 to jump on harness trampoline for 10 min. $5 unlimited bouncy house. $2 go card rides. Bring cash. Open only at night I think (too hot during the day anyway!)
Janice W — Google review
Good place for kids, not many attractions but every age kids will find something to do. Go karts are good €2 , kiddies one €1. Giant inflatable are €4 for all day - perfect price. Drinks and soft drinks can be purchased from the bar, friendly staff
Antanina B — Google review
Happy Park is a good hour of fun for the kids and not too expensive. Lots of fun arcade games, jumpy trampolines, go-karts, a Sponge Bob jumpy house, some stationary rides for the smaller kids, and some concessions. It’s not super expensive, but be sure to have lots of smaller bills and coins, as most everything is cash-based. One thing to beware - the coin-operated go-karts have about 2 minutes of juice before they flat out die on the track, and since people insert coins in the go-karts at staggered times, the karts die at staggered times. There are some kids who will get out in the middle of the track while other karts are still dangerously zipping by, or like the instance with my daughter, her kart stopped and my son’s kart read-ended her at full speed. She wasn’t injured but it scared the bejeezus out of her. Otherwise a fun place!
Mo W — Google review
If you are a parent on holiday in Cala d'Or it is a must! €4 for unlimited time in the inflatable "Circus soft play" with a bar on site. Other elements such as the trampoline and go karts cost more.
Jonathan H — Google review
My kids (7 &4) absolutely loved this place. The fact it serves beer helps enormously. Bring your euros - you’ll need them but it really isn’t anymore expensive than you’d expect. 1 Euro a ride which lasts a couple of minutes, go karts are the best.

We stayed in villa 10, we had AC in every room, the house was clean and we loved the pool and we loved the view from our rooftop. The villa complex is easy to find and close to restaurants and beaches. A little noisy at night if you keep the windows open. They could get all 5 stars if we didn't had to buy, toilet paper, trash bags, hand soap which I think should be in every place you rent. They also had broken chairs. Also we were unable to use the Wi-Fi, veeeery poor.

MOST OF 'POSITIVE' REVIEWS...ARE LEFT BY FAMILY AND FRIENDS OF THE OWNER! Bedroom damp&musty, de-humidifier in the corner. Beds only had a thin sheet&nights were chilly, extra blankets in the wardrobe, but these were musty&damp so we opted to be clean but cold. The mattresses were terrible, I could feel the springs against the material just by laying my hands on there. Bathroom had a large water stain on the ceiling, with mould growing on it. TV is an old computer monitor, too small to see anything&the sound so distorted it was inaudible. Being active, we seldom watch TV on holiday, but it's nice to have the choice. After our second night of little sleep we decided to drive the north of the island. After the trip we were a couple of hours drive from the apartment&tired, so found a hotel to stay the night. The bed was comfy, no damp, they even had a real TV that you could hear. At the apartment the next day we felt we would not be able to enjoy the rest of our stay where we were. Fortunately we are in a position to afford to book somewhere else. We found a nice hotel 5 mins from the apartment, cleaned up and left. We travel extensively, and have stayed in everything from hostels in South Africa, to 5 star hotels in Europe. We have never felt compelled to leave a bad review. But the way in which the owner dealt with these issues when we contacted her has prompted me to share our experience. I sent an email to say we’d left 3 days early because of the damp and the mattresses&asked for a partial refund. She refused any refund&denied knowledge of any damp. I mentioned the de-humidifier, she ignored my comment&went on to tell me that people had commented on how comfy the mattresses were. After going round in circles we were offered the chance to meet her ‘agent’ (whom I understand is a friend of the owners that lives on the island) to discuss the issues we’d mentioned. We declined, explaining this was supposed to be a relaxing holiday for us, we had already left at this point&did not wish to go back and have another futile discussion. Before the holiday the owner agreed to give us a discount of £20, this didn't turn up before we left, it turned up over 2 weeks after we got home (after I had raised a complaint with Owners Direct) The owner said I would not be able to leave a review&that the matter had been closed by Owners Direct. Both of these claims were untrue. I have kept all emails to confirm this is an honest and true version of events.

We had a nice stay at the Ferrera Apartment in Mallorca. The space was clean, modern, and matched the photos on the Airbnb listing, which we appreciated. It was a comfortable base for exploring the area. The main downside was the lack of parking, finding a spot in Cala D'Or was tricky, especially with kids or groceries. Also, there was no outdoor lighting at night, which didn’t feel very safe, particularly for women walking back after dark. Overall, a pleasant stay with a few inconveniences to be aware of.

The room wasn't like they promised to be. The sink had really annoying waterdrop-like sounds when turned off, almost all the doors were screeching, including the fridge's door. There was no oven in my apartment, however the microwave was fully functioning. The showers door almost fell from it's frame, and the sink was barely functional. The bed were too soft for my taste, but were completely, this isn't rally an issue. Other than the room, the view was breathtaking. Absolute amazing, see the posted pictures. The staff was nice and helpful. It saddens me that despite their friendliness and hard work, I can't give more thank 2 stars.

Absolutely stunning little beach! For disclosure we visited at the end of June so I’m not sure how busy it gets during July and August! In June it was fairly busy but not too bad. The beach has the most beautiful water! I read some comments on jellyfish and have to say that on first day when we arrived, there was many of them but they disappeared following days. Beach is lovely during the night as well. There is loads of locals having barbecues and it appears quite safe to visit after dark

Fav beach that I've visited so far on Mallorca. Beautiful water, you go much faster into deeps, it has sandy beach, and colors are juat amazing! 💞

Crystal clear water and the other beaches in the area were windy this one was very sheltered. Plenty of free parking and easy distance to the little town. Best beach in Mallorca so far!

The nature of this place is simply mesmerizing! This is something🤌🏽 But the number of people is simply unreal) so you need to go here during the low season to have a good time here)

There are 3 beaches in this area and Esmeralda is the worst. There is Cala Petita and Cala Gran, Petita is the best, Gran is nice but every child on this planet is in Cala Grad, and Esmeralda is the smallest Cala I visited and I’ve been to 15 beaches in Mallorca. Esmeralda is super small, water is dirty and green. For some reason when you climb on the rocks to take a pic of the beach, color of the water changes to blue, but that is just not true. There is free parking nearby but we managed to find a spot cause we came very early. Even if you find the parking, that doesn’t mean you will find the space for your towel. It gets filled up quickly. You can come and take a pic and then go to Petita, because Petita is also small but very pretty.

Stunning beach that gets overrun by people and boats in the high season. The sea can't clean itself. That said, it is still beautiful and worth a visit during the off season.

Best beach in the area if you prefer cliffs and rocks to sand. A bit rough surface, so bring a thicker beach mattress.

This is one of the best beach I’ve ever been to. The water is crystal clean, there is no dust in the sand. Free showers are next to the restaurants/bars. Parking is also free.

Beach
Caló d'es Pou is a small beach located about 2km outside Cala Dor, offering white sand, palm trees, and clear waters. While it can get busy, there are plenty of loungers available for rent. The sea is warm and calm, but may have some floating rubbish in the shallows. However, once past this area, the water is clear with abundant fish for snorkeling.
Good parking right in front of the beach. Lots of families from the surrounding resorts. No food no cafes around for 350m. One of my favourite spots to swim.

Small cove beach, clear blue water, not too busy. Went late April so the restaurant wasn’t open and there were no loungers or umbrellas there. Toilets were also closed. Parking available, bus stop nearby. Well worth the visit.

A beautiful beach with stunning views. Bring your own beach towel/parasol to avoid the sunbed charges. Ice-creams are very expensive - go to Parad'ice down the road instead!

Caló d’es Pou is a charming little cove with a welcoming, calm atmosphere. The experience feels intimate, as the beach is small and enclosed by natural rock formations and lush greenery. The view here is serene, with the turquoise water gently lapping against the sand and boats peacefully anchored nearby. It’s a lovely spot to relax, surrounded by nature and away from crowds, ideal for a quiet swim or just enjoying the simplicity of the scenery.

Fantastic little beach with very clear waters. Can get busy during really warm days but is still a lovely place to go. You can walk around the corner onto the rocks as well and get some amazing views. Definitely worth a visit if you are in the area.

Filthy, absolutely disgusting. Bags, plastic wrappers and condoms flouting around. We did not swim. Beach full of fag buts. Looks absolutely gorgeous from a distance and from the pictures. Our closest beach to our hotel so gutted we couldn't enjoy it. We wasn't the only family to be disappointed.

Absolutely wonderful holiday destination for my family. The beach is beautiful . Chilled out, ate fresh fruit jumped in the sea from the rocks . Perfect. Made some great memories
Janine B — Google review
Beautiful blue transparent water, good for snorkelling (lots of small fish in the water). The sand is not too fine like on the nearby beaches so it doesn't make the water muddy. But there is often lots of garbage on the surface (mostly natural, but still). Lots of different positive people, families with kids; pretty rare occasions of representatives of some aggressive countries. Rather busy in the middle of the day, but you can find space closer to water after 5-6 PM. There is a shower at the top (would be nice to have more of them, and dedicated ones for feet), and free toilets. So high busyness and garbage on the surface are main cons, hence 4*.
