Beaches
Cala Sapone is a charming sea inlet with a small beach, surrounded by rocky outcrops and backed by open-air seafood restaurants. The area offers a picturesque bay that can be reached by a scenic hike, making it popular among nature lovers and hikers. The unique landscape features special pink-tinged sand from tiny shells and coral fragments washed up on the beach. Visitors can also enjoy wide, flat rocks perfect for sitting on.
Nice beach, not crowed in the off season. Easy accessible, a bit sheltered from wind and waves, there is a small bar which serves food and drinks, there is a toilet in the bar as well. The sunset is spectacular. Parking is close but not plenty. Water is wonderful. We loved it.
Hartmut B — Google review
One of the most beautiful beaches on the island of Sant'Antioco. Probably my favorite on the island. I particularly love the rocks on the sides of the beach, the view of the bay and the clarity of the water.
Carlo S — Google review
Beautiful beach and great for relaxing in the water or on the sand. Very nice restaurant nearby for and ice cream or food and sunbeds available.
Pascale S — Google review
Beach is ok, quite small, sand with tiny stones, but the water absolutely perfect! Feels like paradise! A must: take a walk along the rocks! The furthest you can, its even another Cala called U will be astonished! Jump into the water, feels great.
Maurizio C — Google review
Lovely beach with great swimming when the wind is right, and a super, relaxed restaurant just over the road.
Eddie C — Google review
One of the best beaches in Sardegna for me. The sandy part was quite full and totally average but thf part with the smooth big stones.. just amazing
Kzt F — Google review
A friend of mine confided in me today that most local people do not eat or drink at Mario and Pinella in Cala Sapone because of perceived hygiene problems. As a professional chef and previous catering manager of a large London hotel restaurant, I was interested to see whether this was true or not. so I went to pay a visit to the restaurants kitchen today while I was visiting Cala Sapone. from the very beginning I looked at the refrigerators and freezers and also the cooker and the deep fat fryer I looked around the kitchen and I can tell you that this is one of the cleanest kitchens and best organised kitchens that I have seen in the many years that I was a chef and catering manager.so for those people who say that they are worried about the hygiene of restaurant and kitchen of Mario and Pinella they are mistaken. They should consider eating in this place because it is in a beautiful location and the food is very very good. The hygiene is not a problem here as well, the prices are reasonable and the staff and owners are very friendly and welcoming. Finally, this location is excellent. Right across from a lovely sandy beach which has offshore shallow water an inshore reefs great for swimming and snorkelling. Here you can rent deck chairs or loungers as well as a kayak of pedalo. to explore the bay. I highly recommend Cala Sapone as a destination for all ages and all people. You will not be disappointed. There is plenty of parking in the car park and the small cafe/restaurant of Mario and Pinella has a toilet for you to use as well as offers of course, food and beverages, ice creams and great coffee too.

Visitors can enjoy the picturesque views of yachts anchored nearby while basking in the beauty of the crystal-clear waters. A piece of paradise felt here and created this beach! Clear water, white sand, big beach! Toilets are not available here...only two chemical toilet in plastic under the sun are available. It’s very easy to keep the social distancing here.

Amazing beach, very clean, crystal clear water and child friendly as it shelves out for a long way (shallow) and the water is calm.

One of our favorites we tried in Sardinia. Very nice sand. Lots of shallow lagoon style sea entry. Yachts parketed nearby making the view even better. Good for families with children. Was not that crowdy.

Spiaggia Cala Lunga, also known as Porto Lungo, is a small and tranquil crescent-shaped beach approximately 40 meters long. It is nestled in a narrow inlet, providing protection from choppy waters and strong winds. The beach features fine white sand and turquoise waters with a sandy seabed, making it ideal for snorkeling. While there may be some seaweed and stones near the shore, venturing a bit further into the clear waters offers an enjoyable experience.
One of my favourites. You can makesome shade with a scarf off the rocks. Water is calm there.

Free beach. Parking fee 2€. If the sea is still then the water probably won’t be so clear.
Stas P — Google review
Stinky Very beautiful and has a super nice bar there to buy drinks, food and ice cream but the whole beach is like swamp and stinks
Safro — Google review
Unfortunatelly disappointed. Water is far from clear and full of poseidonia, the surrounding smell quite bad. At least the cliffs are nice. Parking 2€ for 4hours and less, 4€ for more than 4hours.
Marek S — Google review
Its so fantastic and quiet. Place to relax within the rocks and specially the sand so thick 😍😊🌊☀🏊 if you visit the Sardegna try to visit too
A C — Google review
The beach itself would be nice, but there are tons of rotting algae everywhere, which stink badly. I'm wondering noone cares and they are not cleaned, would help the site really a lot. We rather left, the smell was unbearable. Parking is 2 EUR for four hours. Small stand with ice cream and bevarages available.
Ondřej T — Google review
Very quiet, small and (white-) sandy beach with car parking, although beach partly demolished due to earlier (spring 2018) heavy rainfall. No options to buy something. Very safe for small children due to the shallow water.

Beaches
Spiaggia Coaquaddus is a popular beach on the island of Sant'Antioco, known for its curving strip of sand and the refreshing sirocco wind that creates ideal conditions for body-surfing. The beach offers a mix of experiences, from African immigrants selling sunglasses and parasols to an elderly Sardinian offering cut-up coconut bathed in lemon. It's also suitable for snorkeling with some rocks and underwater life to explore.
Beautiful beach with plenty of spaces to lay down If you come early there is a free car park area but only for 20 cars, if it's full then you need to use the paid car park
Safro — Google review
Marvellous beach albeit the water was freezing, mainly because the current was outward, so I suggest finding a beach with inward current (chance of jellyfish then so it’s a trade off really). Parking isn’t aplenty but it depends on how busy the area is and the kiosk is very convenient. The beach can hold a lot of people and the water is shallow for a good distance, thus very pleasant.
Juan D — Google review
Nice sandy beach, great little walk to the top of the cliffs
Tim K — Google review
Great beach, it has fine sand, perfect also for young children, really clean water. We loved going back there.
Maria M — Google review
Absolutely fantastic beach!🏖️ Perfectly clear blue water and very warm (mid October). Car park is free.
Waldek — Google review
Fantastic beach, which I have been knowing for my whole life, that's especially enjoyable when it's a bit less crowded. In recent years it has been enhanced with some additional services, such as a bus service connecting it with the town, a wide car parking, a simple but nice bar, and a few showers and restrooms. I loved it when the beach used to be somewhat wilder, but now it is a bit more comfortable.
Carlo S — Google review
Nice sandy beach. You will find there also some rocks if you like to snorkel and watch underwatrrlife. But not very spektacular. The beach is not very big so I guess it could be a little bit crowded in high season. There is a big parking nearby. There is also small place where you can park for free. In september there was still few parking spots for free available.

Accessible from Calasetta, visitors can start their journey from Sotto Torre beach and follow the signs leading to the area.
So picturesque place! Breathtaking view! There is big parking and a pavement that will lead you to this spot. Parking seems to be paid but in september there wasn't a living soul. You should be careful because it can be really windy. Top star attraction for me. The sea, waves, the sun and clifs. Pure and astonishing nature.

It's difficult to find a place like this around the world! You can brief the Sardinia sea breeze and wildness. I suggest to wait the sunset sitting in one of these rocks...it will be an unforgettable experience.

Spiaggia La Salina is a stunning beach close to Calasetta town, offering shallow and crystal-clear waters that are perfect for small children and toddlers. The beach provides ample space for visitors to relax, whether they prefer renting sunbeds or simply laying out towels on the sand. There's also a lovely café nearby where you can grab a bite to eat or treat the little ones to ice cream.
Really beautiful sandy beach, perfect to see the sunset! The water is crystal clear and not deep at all! You can advance in the sea for a long time and still touch the bottom with your feet! The beach is rather narrow but quite long, so you'll surely find a place for your beach towels.
Silviu C — Google review
The sea is beautiful, don't let the sea weed at the shore put you off. Just walk for 10m to reach the extremely clear water, coloured green and blue. No bars or restaurants available on the beach.

The beauty of this beach is so immense that it's difficult to define it with few words. The photos talk from theirselves. The beach is very close to calasetta town. The car park is located at the beach's entrance and into the camping area next to it. It should cost 4€ for all day. On the beach there is a nice bar (with toilets).

Excellent museum. Everything is well explained in italian and english. It's interactive and related how the world has been and how people live in it. Not only dry dates and descriptions. Much better than the national archaeological museum in Cagliari in my opinion.

Very good regional archeiligical museum with many information about local ancient history. The phoenician tophet is a part of the museum.
Vladimíra Š — Google review
One would not expect much from an almost unknown museum in such a small town. Hence we had a great surprise with this nicely set up museum, where, among other things, one can observe a stunning amount of Phoenician vases and ornaments and a wonderful couple of lions that make a link with the art of Assyrian and Babylonian civilizations that you can admire in the British Museum, depicting the Mediterranean as a great cultural bridge already 3 millenia ago. The museum attendant was also friendly and helpful. Texts are available in Italian and English. There is also an audio-guide but we did not use it.

Superlative beach, with white sand and turquoise sea, nothing less than the Caribbean's. The beach is split in two by a small rocky cliff, that also creates a very scenic view and a few smaller, discrete corners. A bit too crowded in August, it's perfect in others times of the year. Good service, with two beach bars, one for each section of the beach, a large parking lot, restrooms and showers. Quite a bit exposed to East and South-East winds, much less to North and North-West ones.

(Translated by Google) Total disappointment... when I called to book the place at the establishment they told me about the presence of some pebbles, however the situation on the beach is not what you see in the photos. But let's say we are people who adapt. The worst thing was when we went to get the children ice cream and the owner who was sitting at a table next to us was complaining because the 2 and 6 year old children were playing (simply jumping) so much so that he scolded them a truly arrogant and rude manner. Unfortunately I had to move away from the kiosk to avoid arguments. It has never happened that the owner of an establishment or restaurants behaved in this way. And we go only to the equipped beaches. Confirmed by other people on the beach who had children. If you have children do not go to this establishment as they are not welcome. Reception 0. Visitors can also explore fascinating exhibits on regional lighthouses and enjoy a collection of captivating books dedicated to these beacons.
(Translated by Google) We stayed at muma for 8 nights. Cozy and very quiet environment. The breakfast is plentiful, good and with typical products (fresh ricotta, jam), too bad it doesn't vary much from day to day. The cakes that are baked every morning are Fantastic!! There is the possibility of using a shared fridge and freezer to store your things. The service is very friendly, smiling and nice. The photo was taken from our bedroom, No. 116 (Original) Abbiamo soggiornato al muma per 8 notti. Ambiente accogliente e molto tranquillo.

One of the coolest place I ever stayed at. Easy to park and find. The staff is we very friendly and show U to the room and gives U a lot of good info about the Hotel. Rooms feels fresh, breakfast is perfect, and the small museum is interesting. The only minus is that it is placed a bit off.

(Translated by Google) The Sea Museum can be visited quickly on your own, you get a first impression of the local productive activities: fishing, salt works. Very small space dedicated to the ancient art of byssus processing.

(Translated by Google) A beautiful museum with free admission, run by the staff of the hotel located in the same building. Small and meticulously maintained, it tells the maritime history of this beautiful city with disarming humility and simplicity. Next time, we'll definitely try the accommodations too!

(Translated by Google) A small but essential museum, showcasing boat building, byssus processing, salt processing, lighthouses, and some wonderful books about lighthouses. It would have been perfect if there had been audio clips, in multiple languages, that could be downloaded with a QR code.
