Lighthouses
Cape San Blas Lighthouse, located in George Core Park in downtown Port St. Joe, is a historical landmark that has been guiding ships for over a century. Despite enduring storms and wartime challenges, the lighthouse remained a steadfast beacon until 2012 when it was forced to close due to shoreline erosion. Visitors can explore the lighthouse and its keepers' quarters, enjoy bay views from the top, and browse through the onsite gift shop.
Very cool lighthouse and with fabulous views. It is taller than it looks. I would not recommend purchasing tickets at the visitor center if you have any phobias of tight spaces or heights. There is also a height restriction for children who are under about 4ft due to safety reasons. The stairs are narrow and quite steep and it is a trek to climb up but the view is spectacular. The grounds lead out to the shore. There are picnic areas. Great place to walk to from downtown.
BEE K — Google review
It is a literal hike up the narrow stairs to get to the top of this historic lighthouse, but it is worth it! I would not recommend if you have fear of heights and/or small spaces. If not, though, then this is a fun, inexpensive tourist attraction!
Austin M — Google review
Totally worth the cost of climbing. The stairs inside are narrow and at one heck of an angle as you reach the top. Only one person may clear the staircase at a time, yeah, it's that close as you spiral up. Once at the top, the view and wind are spectacular. Can't remember the cost to climb, maybe $5? The keeper's house has been renovated and is a fantastic walk through history. Staff was knowledgeable and kind. It's not the tallest lighthouse nor the original but the information about it is wonderful. Tons of parking.
Au F — Google review
I’m biased because I’m part of the team that keeps this light shining… but this lighthouse, in its current location safe from erosion, is just AWESOME! It’s so cool to climb its stairs and think about the keepers that came before us, and kept the light shining even during storms where their own safety might be in jeopardy. Back in the days prior to GPS and radar, these lights were life or death to mariners. Come check it out go yourself!
Brian M — Google review
Beautiful Lighthouse and Wonderful Volunteers. What a beautiful and must-see stop! The story behind how this lighthouse was preserved is truly amazing. The volunteer greeting visitors and guiding the climb up the tower was so passionate and knowledgeable — she shared so much interesting history and detail that really brought the place to life. The views are incredible, and the dedication of the volunteers makes the experience even more special. If you’re in the area, this is an absolute must-stop!
Danny B — Google review
There are 131 steps to reach the top of this lighthouse with panoramic views of Port St. Joe and St. Joseph Bay’s coastline. Friendly staff at the museum/gift shop. The CLEANEST and BEST restroom in all of the Panhandle! 👏🏾👏🏾

Wow awesome view! Good workout to get up all the steps ..I thanked tiger rock academy got me in shape to climb! Judy museum sales lady amazes one with all sorts of stories about beaches and her father building Cyprus knot house, great sales lady! I bought shirt, necklace, watercolor of lighthouse.

This lighthouse is in a perfect location. We stayed at the Hotel St. Joseph. It was about a 5 minute walk. The lighthouse has a beautiful 360° view of the bay and Poet St. Joe. Well maintained.

The Forgotten Coast Sea Turtle Center is a must-visit for nature enthusiasts, especially those interested in sea turtles. Located near Port St. Joe, the center plays a crucial role in preserving the natural habitat of these magnificent creatures. The annual pilgrimage of sea turtles to lay eggs on the beaches is a sight to behold and has inspired homeowners and businesses to keep the shoreline dark to protect them.
So much more fun than I thought it would be! We saw so many turtles and learned a lot of very interesting facts about them and those in nature! E we bought bracelets following the tour and have been tracking our own turtles since visiting!
Elizabeth — Google review
This is beyond spectacular for free. Got there as soon as our reptilian friends were being taken out and thoroughly enjoyed our tour and time. Our guide (I'm sorry I didn't get her name) was a hugely enthusiastic and informative volunteer. There aren't a ton of rescues BUT more on the way. We also listened to the current running numbers on nests/nesting throughout the area with 51 alone in the state park, of which we found 2 when we left as we were headed to the bay on double red flag day anyway. Get some gifts and though I didn't have cash you can always sponsor a nest which is always fun to track with the kids online. Honu, the cat, was entertaining and friendly. There's plenty of parking but we would get there early when everyone's getting fed. Donate! It is so worth it and ask about the Leatherback that ran up into Indian Pass last season, it's impressive.
Au F — Google review
FREE!!! Educational and entertaining! The volunteers are knowledgeable, and it is obvious they are passionate about not just sea turtles but also about land turtles. I was impressed with the presentations because they engaged young children and adults.

The Forgotten Coast Sea Turtle Center is an amazing stop — not only educational but truly inspiring. The staff is incredible — welcoming, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about their mission. It’s wonderful to see the dedication that goes into protecting and rehabilitating these beautiful creatures. Thank you for everything you do! If you’re in the area, this is absolutely a must-visit.

This was a really cute facility. There were multiple species of turtles with informational signs. They were not sea turtles, but they were still really fun to look at. The decor felt fun and interesting, the turtles names were painted on little stones. I appreciate the help they provide to local sea turtles and their nesting sites.
Karley B — Google review
The people who run this place are nice and very good at what they do. They run a very good program to help any turtles who need it. It's free but they do accept donations to help the turtle rescue.
Randy G — Google review
Informative and interesting little side stop. It houses several small live turtle and tortoise exhibits out front. Staff are very knowledgeable on turtles as a whole. Worth a stop if your passing through.

Fantastic little place to learn about all kinds of turtles. They didn't have any sea turtles but had lots of other kinds of turtles which were very easy to see. Both of my sons loved it!

The museum and 14-acre park offer exhibits, artifacts, and interactive displays providing insight into Florida's past. It was once the largest city in Florida with 12,000 residents utilizing its natural deep-water port for shipping. Visitors can explore the detailed chronology of Port St.
The constitution convention museum was a great little Florida history lesson the park ranger was awesome nice little 20 to 30 minute AC break from beach fun
Emily M — Google review
The Constitution Convention Museum in Port St. Joe is small, but excellent. The park ranger, Joanna Lindsey was wonderful. She was full of information about the history of the area and she spent quite a bit of time talking with my daughter about everything from the constitution and yellow fever ravaging the town to local ghost stories. My daughter could have listened to her for hours. She clearly has a love for her job. We will definitely visit again when in Port St. Joe.

My friends and I were pleasantly surprised by this state park. The museum was well thought out and informative. The park ranger in charge of taking care of everything was wonderful and shared so many fun and interesting facts with us. She clearly cares about the state park and is doing a great job maintaining it. Definitely worth the visit.

This was one of my favorite places I visited during my trip to Port St. Joe. Who knew that this humble beach town was so rich in history? This museum is very educational and fun. You can even take home a small copy of the Florida constitution.
Austin M — Google review
The park ranger was so funny and informative! The museum had a good set up and showed off a variety of artifacts from Port St Joe. The signs were descriptive. I feel like I left with a better understanding of the history of this town and how it was established.

Cute little park in Downtown Port St Joe, Florida. The only event that I know that is held here is The Farmer’s Market which sets up there on the 1st and 3rd Saturdays from 9am-1pm EST. It is nice place to rest after having lunch and shopping downtown. There are also public restrooms nearby.

Krazyfish Grille is a vibrant and welcoming seafood restaurant located in Port St. Joe, FL. The owner, Scooter Acree, a commercial fisherman, has created a dog-friendly establishment that offers locally caught fish at its sushi and sandwich bars. With a wide selection of beer, wine, and signature tropical drinks available, it's the perfect spot to unwind after a day at the beach. The restaurant also boasts stunning sunset views and tranquil surroundings for an authentic Florida dining experience.
Classic restaurant for a beach/vacation community. The seating outside was plenty - and had 2 sections. Inside has the bar and there was live music playing - a nice touch. Our server was very nice and helped get our huge party squared away pretty quickly with drinks. The food that came was hot and we did not have to wait longer than about 15 mins - being that we were there at 6pm on a Thursday in June is really impressive for the kitchen! Food was pretty good. They ran out of the stuffed shrimp and 3 of us in our party wanted this dish. I opted for the grilled shrimp and they were good like b/b+. Onion rings were pretty good overall and I would have to say they were my favorite. The broccoli was fresh and hot. No complaints at all even had Parmesan cheese on top. Our party would not recommend the smash burger. No one liked it. But the chicken sandwich as well as the grouper fingers were all loved by the kids. Prices were pretty high, but nothing too crazy especially since it is the summer and everything in the world is about 35% more expensive than it was last year I think I would come back
Shawn T — Google review
The food was really awesome. Had the steak sandwich and their salad with Cajun shrimp. The steak was seasoned and cooked to perfection. Loved the outdoor seating area. Unfortunately, the service was poor. We were promptly seated by the host. It wasn't really busy. Took 15 minutes to be greeted by a server. We had to go find one. Once she put our orders in, the food came out quickly. We didn't see her again until we went hunting for her to pay our check. That part was very disappointing, but I'll be back for that steak sandwich!
Catie C — Google review
I was pleasantly surprised by how good the food was at Krazyfish Grille! We started with the Jamaican jerk wings and the Goat cheese balls, both were great! The goat cheese balls were exceptionally phenomenal and paired perfectly with the pepper jelly. Our server said the pepper jelly is made in house! For my meal, I had the chicken tenders and fries. My husband also had the chicken tenders but with fried okra instead. The tenders were a great size and very flavorful! The honey mustard wasn’t my favorite but the ranch was delicious! The drinks were also very good and the service was great. We will definitely be back.

Loved loved loved this place. Sat at the outdoor bar and chatted it up with the bartender who used to live in the town over from me in TN. Food was great and atmosphere super fun. Corn hole, electric decor, bright colors, live music. Would definitely eat here again. The grouper sandwich was delicious and the local KrazyFish lager was yummy!
Ashley F — Google review
Came in for lunch on a Saturday and was seated right away on a group of 5. Little kids had the 🍔 and chicken fingers. Both were devoured. Big kid gnawed on some coconut shrimp with orange chutney on a bed of spring greens. She had no problem finishing her’s either. My wife and I both had the grouper sandwich which was so fresh we swear it came out out of the water the same morning! Mine was Cajun with a dab o’ tartar sauce on it. Spacious enough. Parking could get tricky. Sit outside under cover and let the sea breeze in your hair (plus the portable fans). Service was never in question with Frankie (just ask for her section and kick back). Ample beer and drink specials. My wife said the Kiss me on the Beach was spot on.
Au F — Google review
We loved the Krazyfish Grille! We arrived at 8:25 and were concerned about time since they closed at 9pm. The hostess was very kind and seated us swiftly. We sat in the patio area where there were fans blowing to keep customers cooled off. Shout out to our waiter John—he was FABULOUS -super friendly and helpful about the area. The St. Joe Rita was a super tasty margarita! We thoroughly enjoyed our one pound of peel and eat shrimp with gouda grits. We also split the Baja tacos with blackened mahi. Everything was very fresh! Live music will be on the weekend and we may try and come back before we leave town. So glad this was our first stop at Port St. Joe!!
Michelle R — Google review
We were on vacation at port st. Joe and was looking for a good place to eat and stumbled on Krazyfish. At first glance it was really busy and appeared to be a bit of a tourist trap. The food was pretty good but overall was just average along with the service. I probably wouldn’t go back in the future. The music was very loud and the porch was insanely hot - it was almost impossible to carry a conversation. The food was reasonably priced though. We got the Baja tacos and shrimp platter. The shrimp platter was good but the tacos were very average. The wait was around 45 mins and it was pretty accurate to what they told it would be.
Brandon — Google review
Mostly outdoor seating. We got there during a shift change, so we had to wait a bit to be helped, but once our server got to us, she was very attentive and friendly. I had a grouper sandwich with fries and rice. The ride didn’t taste like anything, but everything else was tasty. I had a Providenciales rum runner, and my daughter had blueberry lemonade mocktail, and they were excellent.

Uptown Raw Bar & Grill is a laid-back spot in Port Saint Joe that offers a variety of seafood dishes, including steamed, raw, grilled, and baked options. The restaurant is known for its delicious oysters and inviting ambiance. It's a great place to enjoy casual breakfast or seasonal specials for lunch and dinner. Additionally, the self-serve drink area adds to the relaxed atmosphere.
We enjoyed a delicious meal at the bar with CT serving the best oysters on the gulf. The crew here is top notch, working hard and serving fresh seafood. This won’t be our last visit here! Good for families (there might be a wait for a large group- worth it) and for a date night.
Katie P — Google review
Our first time here left with mixed feelings. The concept and the venue are both great. Love the location in the “downtown” area of Port St Joe. The hostess who greeted and seated us was unenthusiastic and almost seemed bothered to show us to our table. She asked if we’d been there before, then handed us menus and briefly mumbled some details about the drink self-service. (Didn’t offer any info about pricing…which isn’t evident anywhere, and didn’t explain where to find the cups for the self-serve beer taps) Our server finally arrived and also had few words, took our order and was never seen again. Another server brought our raw oyster appetizer, then later our meals. Oysters were great, and actually probably the highlight. The meals were tasty but average, at best. Portion sizes were small (my wife had a fish sandwich and the fish didn’t even cover the bun). One of my sides was “steamed broccoli” but is was an unappealing olive color and was very soggy. In summary, would probably still return but only for the raw bar and beers.
Michael M — Google review
One of my dishes was five star and one was one star so I averaged the two. The peel and eat shrimp are superb!! Five stars!! The grilled mahi was as poor as any I’ve had. It was literally two fingers wide and not much longer and cooked way too much! They hid it under the bread to serve it and when I moved the bread I literally couldn’t believe they would send that plate out. We also had raw oysters and they were fine. We spent over $100 with two people just on food so I expected somewhat better as far as the entree. If you go, though, order the peel and eat shrimp!!
Anna T — Google review
We had an amazing time coming here. It originally wasn't even where we intended to go, but, boy we are glad we did. Our server, Heather, was super friendly. She did an amazing job. Very prompt and informative. The oysters were delicious! As was everything else we ordered. We will definitely be coming back here in the future.
Dustin B — Google review
We visited Uptown this past weekend for dinner. It was very busy but since we had a party of 2 we were able to sit at the bar fairly quickly. The dining area was not very big, so it was a bit loud inside. We got the surf and turf and the shrimp tacos. The food was delicious and we were highly satisfied with our meals. I would eat here again.
Claire R — Google review
Hostess seating us was super nice and welcoming. Our server was outstanding! The real standout of our meal was the baked oysters. Very very good! Husband’s grouper dinner was just okay. The corn on cob was just prefrozen. The side house salad was fresh and just the right size. The gumbo was a huge disappointment. Supposedly, gumbo was shrimp and okra. But it had been cooked so long, the shrimp and okra were nonexistent. Very thick too and tasteless. Not what I’m accustomed too as the gold standard for gumbo is Pappadeaux in Houston👍🏻❤️. Our server was kind enough to to remove from bill but it was my fault as I didn’t ask enough questions about the consistency. So as an afterthought, I ordered the appetizer grilled shrimp skewer. The shrimp was grilled perfectly. We’d return just have the oysters again.
C F — Google review
Family of 5 sat quickly for Monday night dinner. Parking was ample. The space inside is rather small but the location in downtown PSJ is nice if you want to walk off dinner afterwards. Pricing is steep but with the sautéed 🦀 claws and dozen baked 🦪 on board that was to be expected. Those may have been the best of the dinner we had. Kids had the chicken basket, grilled cheese and grouper sandwich. Portions were fine for them as well as on the Mahi sandwich for me. We must admit, the seafood must've come out of the Gulf that day! Drinks are self-serve from a cooler each? Maybe because of the small footprint of the business? Our server Morgan was attentive and we never had to track her down for anything. The 3% convenience fee tacked on for credit card use, I personally hate, just don't take that form of payment. We'd go back to try the other fresh seafood offerings.
Au F — Google review
We visited Uptown Raw Bar on Saturday night, when we arrived it wasn't very busy, we were sat and waited about 5-10 before we were waited on. The self-service beverage was ok, they did offer a wide selection of non-alcoholic drinks. We choose tea with cane sugar and nice surprise. We placed our order and then the placed filled up, the 2 servers were definitely overwhelmed with every table filled within 10 minutes. We received our salads ceaser and a house. Plenty of dressing. Salads were fresh! Then we received our entrees crab stuffed shrimp and Mahi blacked with potatoes and corn. Potatoes were plain tasting but hot, Mahi was ok felt like it was missing something. The Crab stuff shrimp was definitely the star of the show. Highly recommend the shrimp. Overall a nice dinning experience. I know there specialties are the oysters, but neither one of us like oysters.

Peter's Pizzeria in Port St. Joe, Florida is a must-visit for any pizza lover. This authentic Italian pizzeria has been serving up delicious Sicilian pizza with fresh mozzarella cheese for nearly 40 years. The cozy atmosphere and friendly staff add to the charm of this small business. Visitors can enjoy a variety of mouthwatering pizza slices, including options like chicken cutlet, bacon and ranch, as well as classic cheese slices.
Wasn’t sure what to expect in a small Florida town like Port St. Joe, but we were really impressed! The building is small with only a few tables inside, and several tables outside, but it’s a cute place with a casual vibe. Bob was the pizza chef, and he was tossing the 18” pizza dough like a master! Can’t say enough about how amazing the garlic knots were! And the marinara sauce for dipping was SO FRESH. You could tell it was made with fresh ingredients. We opted for the vodka sauce pizza and added sausage, onion and black olives. Fantastic! We’re already planning our next trip out for more! If you’re in Port St. Joe this place is a must visit for pizza!!

Great pizza! And service was great. I called. They said it would be ready in 15 and it was. And it was Delicious. My personal favorite proportion of cheese to sauce. Got the primavera and meat one. Ate them too fast to take a pic. Will order the rice balls next time. They looked amazing.

This is one of the few places that is open past 9 pm in Port St. Joe - open til 10 pm. Very friendly staff and nice atmosphere but be aware this is mainly a takeout place so seating is limited if you want to eat in. We had Buffalo wings, bacon ranch pizza, Buffalo chicken pizza and calzone. The food is very good overall. They have 8” and 16” calzones and we ordered a 8”. It was so big that we took it back to our condo and ate it next day for lunch (4 of us) and still had leftover. It is very good though. Only thing is this is a NY style pizza joint so their slice pizza is already cooked and they just reheat them when you order. So, chicken on our Buffalo chicken pizza seemed little dry by the time I got to my slice. Their Buffalo wings are very good and we went back and got them again.
Tokyo M — Google review
Come for the pizza, stay for the bread pudding. Order ahead if you want whole (New York-style) pies. Sold by the slice pizza and filled rolls are heated in the oven. We had a buffalo chicken, pepperoni, and meat lovers. All were good. Slight downside is the drying of the pizza when heated. If you are into sweets, opt for the bread pudding. Flavors vary. Today we got one of the last salted caramel cheesecake. Which was flavor #105!
Randy P — Google review
Our first time here was OK. The pizza are BIG! so be ready. We ordered most everything on the menu, just to try things out. Our thin crust pizza was Ok, not great. Not sure if it was the extra stuff we added. My pepperoni half was better than the half with extra stuff. Our friends reported the thick crust pizza was pretty tasty. We will try again and see if we get different results. It’s a small place and in PSJ one of the few real pizza joints. In season plan ahead. Great service!
Jim S — Google review
The pizza here was the epitome of what good New York style pizza is! Peter adds his own unique flavor to every slice of pie that they make. I spoke with both Peter and Bob and it’s the kind of hospitality they showed me and my family- that makes you want to come back and visit again and again! Thank you guys for everything- great pizza-great service- a must if your in the Mexico Beach, Port St. Joe Area. You won’t be disappointed whether you order by the slice or by the pie! I’m coming back for the “Cuban” pizza.

Check your ovens, frying oil, or the freezer your chicken is kept in.That stuff in my mother and sisters pastas tasted like the smell of wet paint.Large portions, high prices, bad food. Calzone wasn’t even cooked all the way through. Save your money, if you want pizza get Hungry Howies if you want.

I cannot say enough great things about Joe at Bluewater! I had been on the hunt for a very specific set of chairs, and Joe went above and beyond to track them down for me. He was responsive, professional, and genuinely committed to making sure I got exactly what I was looking for — which, let’s be honest, is a rare find these days. Customer service like this is hard to come by, and Joe delivered in a big way. If you’re looking for someone who actually cares and follows through, ask for Joe. Bluewater is lucky to have him — and so was I!

I went into the store 2 times while on vacation very nice store. The staff was very friendly other than one older blond lady when I asked about shoes. The staff isn’t pushy when helping you trying to force you to buy something. A younger guy Shane spooled my reel up he was very nice and extremely polite he help us get Bait and some other things we needed to fish on the beach overall 10/10 experience I would recommend

This place is great! All the supplies you need for fishing or even hunting. I believe they even have some camping supplies. I scored a sweet shark fishing pole here for $80 and couldn't be more happy. We kept coming up with excuses to come back to the piggly wiggly so we could visit :)

Not very friendly or helpful. My 2 year old wanted a shark toy and didn’t have a price. They didn’t even want to leave counter to go find it. My husband had to go find it and he couldn’t. They didn’t want to sell the toy and wanted me to buy a stuff animal shark in place of it. Poor service all around. The cashier didn’t even sale it under her name in the computer because she knew I would leave a poor review.

I ordered a Shurflo pump from Bluewater Outriggers in Port St. Joe, and the experience was excellent from start to finish. The customer service was fantastic friendly, helpful, and quick to answer my questions. My order arrived promptly, which I really appreciated, and the cost was very reasonable compared to other places I looked. Installation was smooth and flawless, and the pump works perfectly. It’s clear that Bluewater Outriggers takes pride in offering both quality products and outstanding service. I’ll definitely be ordering from them again and highly recommend them to anyone looking for reliable marine supplies at a fair price.

Great store with competitive pricing. Lots of options for fishing gear and tackle, bait, guns, ammo, clothing, and more. Really wish they would change over their website to something more modern and easy to navigate with more product listings.

Me and my family took the sunset ride. I would definitely recommend it for those who are looking forward to a peaceful ride or relaxing attraction. They were very welcoming, and a young lady played and sang, which added to the lovely atmosphere.

Best $70. We've spent (for 2 of us). Bring your own cooler. Nice easy cruise, smooth music. Captain and staff were exceptionally nice and helpful. We did sight several dolphins. Nice roomy boat.

This was our second time on vacation to the area , and we had to do the snorkeling and sunset cruise again! Captain Bill and the crew are the best! We definitely recommend it to anyone! We just did a third round of snorkeling and sunset cruise with them and we thoroughly enjoyed it! Very fun and a great time for family or for a couple.

My family and I went on a sunset boat ride. Spectacular! God put on a show for us in the sky. As for the boat, I never got the name of the man driving it, but he was very knowledgeable on the area. I’m so glad I went!
Austin M — Google review
Captain Bill was very knowledgeable about Port St. Joe history he was a good pilot of the boat, very social and very knowledgeable. We got to see several dolphins and he seemed to know where to find them and how to get us close to them the end of the night or day. It was a beautiful sunset that we took pictures of and sent it all our friends. We had a great time. I will definitely go back again.

I have been an avid snorkeler since childhood and have traveled on trips the world, most notably in Maui and Madagascar. This was the first time in my life that I have seen guests given nets and encouraged to catch the sea creatures. Is this a Florida thing? Although I can appreciate the opportunity to see animals and the learning experience it provides, especially for the kids, I did NOT like that the sea animals were dropped back into the ocean while the boat was in motion and already .25-.50 miles away from the snorkel spot. This felt very disruptive to me and the animals and was not a positive way to teach appreciation or respect for the marine life. Thinking about this happening every single snorkel trip? I just don't know how the animals won't eventually disappear to avoid these invasive snorkelers daily. Seems to defeat the purpose of it all. Other than that, the 3 boat crew were all nice and it was an awesome snorkel trip to take kids and beginner snorkelers/swimmers. My kid had a great time and I loved the location. It was a nice experience with passengers as well. It was just the catching of animals that kind of threw the experience off for me. I hope this can be reconsidered, or at the very least, the animals are put back in the water before the boat departs the snorkeling location. This would make so much more sense to me. Thanks for considering.
Amanda L — Google review
Had a great time on the snorkeling trip into St. Joe Bay! We had a big group of family ranging in ages and everyone enjoyed it! The water is shallow and easy to navigate for all skill levels. Our group found lots of neat sea creatures like puffer fish, unicorn filefish, sea hare, spider crab and stone crab. Whatever the group finds, they keep in a few buckets on the boat for a show and tell at the end of the trip before releasing back into the water. Such a cool way to learn about animals. Highly recommend!

We had a wonderful time with AquaBear Adventures. We took a private tour for a celebration of life of my Mom with 16 people. Captain Bill, Jacob and Sierra were fantastic with our celebration and bringing all of us to great snorkeling for the entire family. Their tour was fun and educational and I have lived in Florida for much of my life. We were able to enjoy the beautiful and quiet coast off Port St. Joe, Florida.

My wife and I took the family "littles" on a 2 hour charter with Capt Charlene this past Tuesday. We had two 7 year old girls and a two year old boy on the trip. Even though the tropical depression was beginning to show signs in the bay, Capt Charlene was able to navigate us about and give the kids some lessons on the shrimping industry, locate a pod of dolphins and interact with them. She spotted some Spinner Sharks about a mile off in the distance and was able to point it out to us. That was an amazing spectacle, even at a distance, to watch for 5-7 minutes. We also spotted on some sea turtles. The girls are still talking about the trip. My recommendation is a 3 hour trip if you have a crew of energetic and outdoor ambitious kiddos. With the two year old my wife felt that 2 hours would be the limit and she hit the nail on the head. Those "Nene's" know the kiddos. He was getting ready for land and a nap when we were wrapped up. Great trip and highly recommend as a morning activity for a family.
Todd B — Google review
Captain Charlene was absolutely wonderful. She worked us in for a trip last minute when other plans fell through, customized our ride to what we would enjoy, and made sure we stayed safe. We had a storm pop up that was supposed to fizzle back out, but instead, it exploded into a huge storm. She was constantly aware of our surroundings and knew when we had to go back. She got us back before the first raindrop fell on us. I would most definitely recommend using her! I know if we do this again next year, I will be looking for this boat.

Have been coming to CSB for several years and finally got around to exploring the end of the cape. Charlene did an awesome job at making it an unforgettable experience and was very knowledgeable about the local environment/wildlife. Kids had an absolute blast and I highly recommend to anyone wanting a unique/custom experience for their family.

My husband and I were looking for a nice sunset cruise and boy did we find one with Captain Charlene! We took a 2-hour cruise with her and just enjoyed the overall conversation, her marine and boating expertise, and of course the views. Charlene was wonderful and we will definitely cruise with her again on our next visit.

Captain Charlene was amazing! She took great care of us and took us to a great place to do something very special to us I’d give her 100 stars if it was an option!

We saved the best for our last day on vacation! Captain Charlene made it very special for my kids. She is extremely knowledgeable about wildlife and marine animals. The dolphins were extremely active this morning and she got them to play alongside our boat for a long time! If we return to this area in the future like we hope to, we plan to use her again and for a longer charter!
Kristen C — Google review
Captain Charlene was amazing! We went fishing and snorkeling on a charter and had a great time. Her knowledge of local marine life is extensive; learning about the Bay Area was half the fun. I would definitely recommend her to anyone looking to get out on the water for the day!

This was a cute restaurant, and our waitress Rhonda was so nice and helpful. We had appetizers and my husband had a Blonde Ale, he really liked it. We had sesame tuna and bruschetta. It was so good and very beautiful.

This was my first time visiting Port St. Joe and I was walking downtown and thought I’d give this spot a try. I enjoyed the home feeling of the restaurant with the decorations and build style when I came in , it gave a very welcoming atmosphere! I ordered the Three Cheese Penne and Caesar Salad. Both of those items were delicious! The cheeses this restaurant use are unparalleled! However, I wasn’t fully satisfied with my service. The waiter didn’t come by but only to order the food and around check time. He also wasn’t very friendly as well but more quiet and reserved. I wanted to ask questions but didn’t feel comfortable which I didn’t like. Other than the service improvement, I enjoyed the experience.
Metrius H — Google review
Nice restaurant, good ambiance, prime location downtown shopping area, friendly staff, dish has good presentation, but foods need some adjustment! Mussels sauce is very soupy with cold bread not toasty nor crispy. Chimichurri Steak nice tender meat and sauce aromatic homemade lack on spices and meat not warm and potato and onion are too sweet. Steak sandwich came with 2 dips which were watery. All elements are there, but missing a little something.
Sunny O — Google review
Great spot for a date night! Had quite a long wait and was seated outside (So it was hot) but that's no fault of the restaurant. The food was great! We enjoyed a Ceasar Salad and bread as an appetizer, my husband tried their St. Joe Mule which was unique and yummy, and we got the Paella and Shrimp Alfredo for our entrees. The food was very good and my husband said the Paella was the best he's had. SO much protein and seafood! Especially for the price.
Annah N — Google review
We've eaten here many times over the years. Our most recent visit was the end of Sept. We noticed they offered a ribeye special. The wife and I decided to have the special without asking the price. The meal arrived with a subprime ribeye steak, delicious new potatoes and spinach. Everything was great except the ribeye, the mediocre steak (think golden corral quality) wasn't what we expected at this restaurant. We had a few drinks, finished our meal and asked for the check from our friendly and funny server. I was shocked to see the special was $45 per meal. This was a $20 meal all day. I'll be sure to ask the price of the special next time. Having said that, we've always had good meals and service here. This occasion was the exception.
Michael R — Google review
Although we’ve only eaten-in once (we usually get to go) it is our favorite restaurant in PSJ and a must every single time we come in for the beach. Favorite dishes are any of the seafood with angel hair, and the spaghetti. I’ve never been excited about spaghetti but that stuff has some kind of magic to it. Just one caveat: stay away from the filet mignon. I’ve ordered it twice and both times it came out the most bland tasteless steak I’ve ever had. Lesson learned! Stick with the seafood and/or spaghetti. Their seafood pasta is so good that even the worst steak in the world—twice—can’t keep me from giving this place its five star due.
Tony S — Google review
The just can't say enough about this restaurant. Loved the atmosphere but loved the food more! We actually came here twice in 2 days and the dishes we had were fresh and full time of flavor. Great service to top it all off!

Sisters' Bistro is a relaxed establishment in Port St. Joe that offers American cuisine for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and desserts. It is a quaint eatery located at 236 Reid Ave and has been owned by a family since the late 1990s. The restaurant is popular among locals and serves a variety of All American sandwiches with delicious side dishes, as well as eight tempting salads with seven different dressings to choose from.
We stopped here for breakfast after a 4 night kayak camping trip on St Joseph peninsula (search YouTube for GROA St Joseph Peninsula Kayak Camping) and the food was great. I had the blueberry pancakes and sausage with a side of cheese grits and it was the perfect mix of sweet and salty. Highly recommend!
Pete D — Google review
My employee and myself came here for lunch. Not overly busy at the time on a weekday. I'll start off by saying that Sisters is probably the best bang for your buck that I have found out of maybe 8 different restaurants in Port Saint Joe. Also so far they have the most well prepared burgers that I've found. While their competitors in the area mostly just remind me of over-sized McDonald's burgers. To top that off Sisters is cheaper at two lunch meals with soft drinks and an extra side at $45. The atmosphere is very home town oriented. The server, although not polished like a fine dinner (they don't need to be) are over qualified to be working there. Which means that they are going to treat you right, engage you, and get your orders correct in this case. Come here if you are a visitor, like not over paying, or you just want a relaxed atmosphere.

A clean, cozy breakfast and lunch place where the locals eat. Four of us had breakfast and all meals were fast and delicious. The service was absolutely top notch. I can recommend their omelets and coffee. Others were happy with their over-sized pancakes. Easy access. Free street parking. Indoor or outdoor seating.

My husband and I snuck away from the kiddos for a quiet dinner together at Sister’s Bistro. We got there early, so we were one of the first tables. The waiter was very attentive and took care of us. All the food was delicious. We had the fried Calamari with an amazing Pesto Aioli sauce, Aioli Teriyaki Tuna, and the special rice bowl dinner with Cajun shrimp and fried Grouper. Perfect portion sizes and lots of flavor!

This place is so good. Me and my family went here 2 days in a row that is how good it was. On the first day we walked in and got seated and our waiter was so kind and made sure we were helped. I got the Chicken Parmigiana on night 1 and it was AMAZING. Our waiter came back and made sure me and my families drinks were full and that the food was good and everything! On day 2 we came back it was July 3rd so obviously we had a little wait and it was packed, as soon as it was time to come in and our waiter from the day before immediately noticed us! He sat us down and was honestly so kind! We had gotten our salad and it was so good i had finished all of it. A little while after I had got my food which was the Penne Ala Vodka with sweat tea and that was also so delicious. Our waiter was so kind to us, he was honestly one of the sweetest waiters i’ve had!
Destiny — Google review
The look of this place initially doesn’t do the food justice. It’s a fine atmosphere in walkable downtown area. But the food was amazingly good. Had the crabcakes and lobster ravioli. Very fresh. The service was excellent. Very polished and professional staff. I’ll definitely be back when I’m the area again.
Jennifer R — Google review
Food was tasty, service was quick, but the vibe of the restaurant is just a little weird. The whole restaurant is carpeted which just feels really dirty. The whole place just felt a bit unappetizing. It took about 25 minutes from the time we ordered until we got our food!
Addy M — Google review
2nd time here...1st time was "ok" w slow service and reasonably good food Today, they were not crowded. I got French toast w bacon. When my food was delivered, I had been given sausage vs bacon. Server noted that I HAD ordered bacon but kitchen had errored. Said she'd correct it. Came back a few minutes later w a plate...she wanted to RETRIEVE THE SAUSAGE? Were they planning to re-serve it? Anyway...French toast was mediocre, oj was store bought, coffee weak, service spotty. There have to be better options

Quatro Locos Tacos and Cantina is a vibrant eatery located in Port St. Joe, Florida. The restaurant offers a fusion of Asian, steakhouse, and seafood cuisines with a lively bar atmosphere. Situated close to the beach, it provides an inviting ambiance for casual dining. Owned by Scooter Acree, a commercial fisherman turned restaurateur, this spot is known for its delicious tacos and cantina-style dishes.
My husband and I have been coming here for two years and we love it. This family-owned and managed restaurant truly values their customers and treats them like family. Luis is so kind and attentive. The whole team does a fantastic job. Now the food… it has an authentic flavor that is unique to their restaurant, and reminds me of the homemade Mexican food I had from my friends’ houses growing up. The portions are perfect and the menu has so many options! You can choose from mole to ceviche! There’s plenty of tables outside to enjoy the sun, and they’ve recently renovated the inside dining area, as well as the raw bar area. The delicious margaritas are a plus! I obviously highly recommend Quatro Locos 😊

This might have been the best dinner experience I’ve ever had. From the time I spoke to the hostess and said a party of three until the time we were sat with our drinks AND food literally 12 minutes had passed. Absolutely incredible especially for the fact that it was 6:45pm on a Saturday night in July. Our drinks had tons of ice so they stayed cold, a server was very knowledgeable of the menu and was very timely with refills, to go boxes, and the check. And most importantly the food itself was delicious. The salsa for the chips is very sweet and a solid texture. I would definitely recommend and we will be back!

We've been wanting to eat here and finally made it happen. We were not disappointed! Its dog friendly and there's seating indoors, outside covered and outside uncovered. The staff is amazing and the food was fantastic. Be sure to ask for the hot, hot, hot sauce.😉

Definitely a great place to eat! Indoors or out, their service is spot on. We chose to sit outdoors since it wasn’t too hot yet. Our waiter was extremely nice and friendly. Salsa is fresh and not spicy (thank goodness). Shrimp tacos were yummy, but a little too spicy for me. I traded with my boyfriend, he had combo meat bowl, which was good too. Oh yes, draft beer is cold. 🫶🏻

We tried Quatro Locos Tacos and Cantina on a whim and absolutely loved it. My boyfriend needed to go again before our visit and ended! We got the Baja Fish Tacos and Governor Shrimp Tacos. Both were accompanied by sides of a small salad, rice, and beans. Both plates were delicious - the perfect balance of salty and sweetness, the proteins were cooked to perfection. We couldn’t wait to get back to our place to dig in, had to take a bite in the car! Would 10/10 recommend a visit.

We eat here at least twice a week and love the variety of entree options! This is a family owned restaurant where the staff treats you like you are part of the family! Exceptional customer service, warm & friendly atmosphere and the best authentic Mexican Food I have ever eaten. The cultural influence infused into each dish is a culinary delight. In addition to the vast menu options, they offer a daily special that is always worth trying. It is usually a dish that is labor intensive and can't be added to the regular menu because they are labor intensive. For example, hand made Tamales is one of my favorite daily specials!!! The open kitchen is neat, I love seeing the chef's masterfully preparing our food. The cuisine is authentic, fresh and we always leave with full hearts and full bellies!! The decor and artwork is colorful and fun. Some of my favorites: The Governors Shrimp Taco's! Grilled Shrimp, cheese, bacon, avocado & Chipotle on a corn tortilla. The bacon pairs beautifully and takes this taco to the next level. Street Tacos; Cochinita Tacos Especiales Baja Fish Taco's Cochinita Pibil Seafood Burrito California Burrito Arrachera Chimichangas Shrimp A La Diabla We love to dine on the patio and catch the bay breezes 🐶🐕 Fur babies are invited to the patio!

I hate to leave negative reviews but dang this place missed the mark on nearly every level and left us incredibly disappointed after an almost 3 hour meal. Our waitress was so sweet, very kind and warm, but I think it was over a half hour before we were even able to order food. Probably another hour before we had our food and what we got was honestly… quite awful. Chewy steak and stale tortillas, not hot or even warm. Bland white rice. Everything topped with bagged shredded cheese. It seemed our waitress was doing her absolute best but she was so busy that everything just took forever. She was behind the bar making drinks for quite some time so she was also on bartender duty, maybe just understaffed? There appears to be a decent amount of good restaurants in Port St Joe, I would avoid this one like the plague.

Frank Pate Park, a charming bayside greenspace in Port St. Joe, is named after former Mayor Frank Pate, Jr. The park features a four-wide boat launch, a fishing pier, and a sheltered pavilion with picnic tables. Additionally, there's a lighted tennis court and a whimsically designed pirate ship-themed play structure for kids.
This was a beautiful park. It was very quiet, clean and a breath of fresh air. Our toddler lived playing on the pirate ship playground while we swung under a nearby tree. There were a handful of families, fisherman and workers working on the nearby building.

The boat ramp stays packed during peak times. Unfortunately the park infrastructure is falling apart. The play ground is rusted and covered in caution tape. Pavilion tables broken. But the tennis courts look newer. Hope they make some investments in more kid focused stuff.

We visited the park and lighthouse today after a full day of paddleboarding and kayaking. The park is very nice and you can walk down to the beach if you like. We were going to climb the lighthouse, but unfortunately there was a storm blowing in wirh lightening and thunder. A tall metal structure is not the best place to be in that type of weather. However, the kind lady on staff was very nice and had some interesting stories to tell. Lighthouse tours are $5 per person. Just check the weather before you go!

Beautiful place. Warning though if your child is not a certain height they cannot Climb the tower. We were disappointed I had 4 kiddos only 2 could climb so we didn't do it.

This was a cute little park! It was right next to the lighthouse and provided a nice view of it. My sister found a geocache here. The fountain was nice as well.

My grand kids and I enjoyed the site once we climbed the stairs which were wet and slippery. That made our trip to the top hard…lol. We had fun through it all.

Came here for a wedding ceremony. Beautiful quiet little area surrounded by water. It's definitely a nice spot to visit.

On a road trip to see as many lighthouses as possible, and this was the last one we squeezed in at the end of our day. Located in a lovely little town, this quaint lighthouse appears to be unmanned, and the two buildings accompanying it appear to be undergoing renovations. The only downfall was that I was unable to get my lighthouse book stamped, but that could also have been because we arrived there late on a Saturday. Definitely check it out if you're thinking about it!

Nice views of the Bay. Didn't realize we'd have to pay to walk up to the top, but it was a good experience.

T.H. Stone Memorial St. Joseph Peninsula State Park is a secluded and beautiful park that offers a mix of beach, pine forest, bays, and salt marsh. The park features 2516 acres of sugar-sand beaches with undulating dunes and wilderness trails for visitors to explore. It's an ideal spot for bird-watching, swimming, camping, and outdoor activities like cycling along the Loggerhead Run Bike Path.
Wonderful clean state park. The staff was always extremely helpful. A bait shop was available within the park along with pontoon, kayaks, and stand-up paddle board rentals. The beach is just a short walk down a boardwalk it expansive and not crowded at all. The park also had some well maintained trails. Had a great time camping at this park, I give it a 10/10!!

True Florida beach retreat!!!! Remote, uncrowded, most beautiful white sandy wide beaches!! If you wanna get away from the everyday routine and enjoy the real beach life this is it!! Clean, safe, well maintained and staff do a great job. Beach camping perfect. You will not find a more beautiful uncrowded white sandy beach open to the public anywhere in Florida. All facilities top notch and well recovered from hard hits from the past storms.

We camp here in our class C motor home every year or two in the fall. The beach is not crowded and very close to the campground. The sites are large and have gravel (small aggregate) parking areas. The bathhouses are nice. The park also has a public area for day use. There is a beach on oceanfront side as well as a bay on the port side. A few cabins are available to rent. There are a couple of hiking trails, but I have not been in those. There is also a store inside the park with rentals and supplies. The only negative in the fall are the dog flies (biting flies). Thankfully, we only had this one day on this trip but last time we were here it was really bad. Normal aerosol insect repellent as well as essential oil repellant does not work on these flies! A little bit of internet research suggests the flies come when the wind changes and blows from the mainland or it is not windy at all. The internet also recommends certain brands of repellant as being more effective which I plan to invest in next time I come. It’s not a deal breaker for me because it is absolutely beautiful when the weather and insects cooperate

Awesome Florida State Park! We stayed in one of the cabins which are along the Port Saint Joseph Bay side. The cabins are newly renovated after being hit by hurricane Michael in 2018. The cabins are one bedroom (actually a loft) and one bath. Behind the cabins is Port St Joe Bay and several hundred feet out the front of the cabins is the Gulf. The park also has an RV campground, a primitive group camping site, as well as two day-use beaches... a small beach on the Bay side and a large beach on the Gulf side which a few pavilions. There are several nature trails in the park where you can often see deer and other wildlife. The park has a small store in the day-use area that sells snacks, drinks, some limited groceries, and fishing supplies. They also offer rentals of beach items as well as rentals of pontoon boats, kayaks, and canoes. It's a beautiful state park that is all about fun in the sun. Great place to visit if you like sand and surf. Highly recommended.

The campground itself is in a stunning location—beautiful beaches, peaceful surroundings, and great views. We were so excited for our stay and had high hopes for a relaxing camping trip with our family. Unfortunately, our experience was ruined by a serious fire ant problem at Site 34. We set up everything and got settled for the night, only to discover fire ants all over our baby’s pack ’n play. We called and they came out and put ant killer around and everything was fine. The next day the ants were back and with vengeance. It was horrifying and completely unacceptable, especially with a little one involved. We ended up having to pack up and leave in the middle of the night just to keep our baby safe. It was chaotic, stressful, and honestly dangerous. I myself got stung 3 times. (I think the ants are nested under the gravel) I’m leaving three stars because the location really is beautiful—but management needs to seriously address pest control. If you’re traveling with young kids, I would definitely avoid Site 34 until the issue is resolved.

Wonderful camping experience. Excellent large flat campsite with full hookup. Whitetail deer and osprey. Beautiful beaches with extensive boardwalks and out door showers. Bike and hiking trails.

The water was beautiful. Eagles Landing is such a great place to launch a boat, kayak but for the most fun to be had is for young kids. You can walk hundreds of yards in clear shallow water.

Beautiful gulf beach area. Open ocean to the west even though you are on FL panhandle. Great inshore environment for sightseeing both in and out of the water. Multiple areas to access the water on both sides. Camping, hiking trails, even some back country camping out towards the point. And added entertainment from the USAF and others.
