Historical structure

Very nice wait staff. I ordered a meat pie plate. The meat pie was delicious, although I think they are commercially made. Didn’t care for the dirty rice, it didn’t have a lot of seasoning. The meal came with a small salad that was fresh.

Great restaurant near historic front street in Natchitoches, LA. Staff had a great sense of southern hospitality. This was the first time I’ve ever had a meat pie and it was delicious. We also ordered some mini crawfish meat pies which were great as well. You can substitute the dirty rice for a cup of gumbo!

I had the crab cake burger with fries. My husband had chicken salad on croissant with sweet potato fries. It’s a great spot for lunch without getting too much and charging an excessive amount. I was happy with the price, atmosphere and quality of food.

Lexie went above and beyond for us and made the dinner even better than it would normally be. The food was awesome as always but the service is over the top. Thank you for making our family feel so welcome!

A local friend recommended this restaurant because of their red beans, sausage and rice and catfish. They did not disappoint. We dined in and had a very friendly server. From the tempting menu we instead chose a tasty crawfish étouffée and meat pie (flaky crust and lots of filling) platter with dirty rice, each served with a fresh side salad, and great tasting iced teas. This was a very good and filling lunch! A bit more costly but definitely worth it! We did ordered the catfish and red beans, sausage and rice with bread pudding to go for our local friend!)

Not fast friendly service as the description states. My mother loves to eat here because of the table cloths. Not anymore!!! Saturday 4/23/22 we didn’t get one nor did the table next to us but tables that were seated after us did. When we were seated they told her they were too busy to get us one. Over an hour wait for food. Saw TWO tables just walk out because they didn’t get service or food. Yes there was a bus group in the back but they advertise buses welcome. They need to decide if the bus or regular customers are worth it because they obviously can’t accommodate both. Very disappointed in what this used to be nice restaurant has become! Yes as others mentioned the salads are fairly generic. See pic below.

Did y'all change the recipe for the Cajun potato? It seems spicier than I remember. Also, y'all aren't using those crawfish from Vietnam are you? They taste different. Also, the salad was mostly stems, not a lot of leaves. Since Covid and being a 24/7 caregiver for my ailing husband, I haven't been there in over 2 years, so maybe it's not a recent change. But I'm a tad disappointed that I decided to treat myself to delivery and splurged and it tastes different. It's not bad...but I liked it much better when I had it last. It looks the same (loved the napkin) but surely didn't taste the same. Edit: When I got to the bottom of the potato, it was burnt!!! That may have something to do with ylthe taste being "off." Very disappointed. Yes. I ate it. Hungry and it was expensive.

It's been about 30+ years since I've went to service at this church and this brought back so many memories. There was a celebration of life for a relative of mine and very happy I was able to attend.

This is a magnificent structure which located on 2nd street where no less than an additional four churches are located. This structure conveys a sense of power and tradition.

Great service and awesome sense of community. They have many awesome programs for all ages...old and young and everything in between.

They have a great program. I enjoyed going they truly care about ppl. I was going to their grief group

Grand daughter went to VBS there and she really loved it. Great place

I love Holy Cross Church! I have been blessed to be in three different diocese. I must say the Alexandria diocese is fantastic very different then the Shreveport diocese.

I dare say, it doesn't quite provide you the peace you expect. I visited the station of the crosses, which is a nice garden in back of the church but it was not isolated enough as I need to reach out spiritually. I have been to the basilica in pharr, texas which has a great dedicated park; although pharr, texas is a relatively impoverished city making comparisons of their park to this small towns may be unrealistic.

It was great to see old friends and my mom, 3 brothers, 1 older sister, 2 sister in laws, 1 brother in law and many a niece and a few of their grand children. A guest preacher from several years ago and an older song leader. Although I did not get to stay for their after service meal I enjoyed everyone and all the conversations and special songs and people that sang them. I know the church has had some divisional problems in the running & managing of its self I wish them all the best of luck while they are having certain preachers come and meet and speak to their scouting committee while they are praying for God to send them a God based preacher that they can trust to lead their church into the coming years and all they may bring as they wish to grow their church with people who want to fund Jesus ir continue to raise their children in a Christian way and have proud community that appreciates their belief in God and obeying the laws if the land in a proud and desirable way to live in. Since my family and I have arrived here in Natchitoches, we went to cwc as our first place to attend church and fell absolutely in love with it and the people. We feel like we've been going here for years. Our 4 year old daughter kassidie absolutely loves it and bugs us to go. They have all welcomed us with open arms and hearts. We can't thank u all enough for making us feel at home. We love u all and look forward to being apart of your church and your lives. We are forever grateful. God bless u!!
