Theme park
Located in Perak, Malaysia, the Lost World of Tambun is a one-of-a-kind eco-adventure destination surrounded by tropical jungles and limestone cliffs. This 40-acre park features 10 theme parks with 88 attractions, including water rides, amusement park activities, petting zoos, and hot springs. It's an ideal escape for families seeking adventure and relaxation. Additionally, the park offers eco-tourism tours to nearby limestone caves.
Such an amazing experience! All integrated into ancient limestone cliffs. There are so many varied areas to explore from petting zoos with a huge variety of animals, to theme park rides (albeit quite small ones), adventure sports like zip lining, water slides, hot springs, and a glow in the dark forest walk. I suggest visiting in that order. We're literally there from 10am to 10pm and the kids loved the entire time. Highly recommended. Hot tip: buy discounted tickets on KLOOK.
Jason F — Google review
f you’re planning to visit the Lost World of Tambun Hot Springs, I’d definitely recommend buying your tickets online beforehand to save time and money. We found Agoda had cheaper tickets than Klook during our visit, so it’s worth checking different platforms for the best deal. As for the hot springs, they were nice but not as hot as I expected. It’s not that they were disappointing, but I think the temperature was adjusted to make it comfortable for everyone, so it wasn’t super hot. Still, the experience was relaxing, and the mineral-rich waters felt soothing. The setting is beautiful and peaceful, making it a great place to unwind. Overall, it’s a nice spot for some relaxation, and the park itself is clean and well-maintained. I’d definitely recommend it, but just keep in mind the temperature of the hot springs might not be as intense as you’d expect.

The Lost World of Tambun is a fantastic destination for families! The mini zoo is well-kept and great for kids to see and interact with animals up close. The water park is the highlight, especially for little ones who love splashing around—there are plenty of slides and pools to keep them entertained for hours. It’s a fun mix of adventure, learning, and play, making it a perfect spot for kids and adults alike. Highly recommended for a family day out!
Viet L — Google review
✨ Lost World of Tambun, Ipoh ✨ A must-visit attraction in Ipoh for families and friends 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦. This theme park has everything — thrilling water slides 💦, hot springs ♨️, petting zoo 🐯, amusement rides 🎢 and even adventure activities like zipline and cave exploration ⛰️. The hot springs at night are super relaxing 🌙✨, while the daytime is perfect for enjoying the water park and theme rides. Kids will love the animals at the petting zoo, and adults can enjoy the natural hot spring pools. It’s really a place that suits all ages! 👍 The park is spacious and well-maintained, with plenty of food stalls 🍔🥤 and resting areas. Parking is also easy 🚗. Since it can get crowded on weekends and holidays, it’s best to come early ⏰ to make the most of your visit. Overall, Lost World of Tambun is more than just a theme park — it’s a full experience of fun, relaxation and adventure all in one place 🌟. Highly recommended if you’re in Ipoh! 🥰
Akmalyaya_ — Google review
Lost World of Tambun offers an "amazing" and "wholesome" family-friendly experience that successfully combines different park types. The hot springs and interactive petting zoo are consistently the most praised features, creating a magical day-to-night transformation. While the amusement rides are not the main draw, the combination of a water park, zoo, and spectacular natural surroundings makes it a recommended destination for a unique eco-adventure. For the best experience, visit on a weekday to avoid crowds, and consider the day-and-night ticket to enjoy the different ambiances.
A. A — Google review
Stay in the park from 3pm to 1030pm at night, manage to: 1. Take 3 rides 2. See all animals 3. Feed small animals in petting zoo 4. Visit the luminous forest 5. Dip in all hot spring pool 6. Watch fire show 7. Rest and have dinner The park is quite huge, Walked about 13k steps within that 7hours. Luminous forest is a bit challenging with the darkness and the stairs up and down. Something new, but not really worth all the effort to climb in and out if too exhausted. Did not manage to experience the water park area yet, maybe next time.
Shan N — Google review
Had an event here with my friends and family. Thanks to Mr. Shaiful for helping with our booking and Mr.Aaron for assisting us that day of our event. From check in the hotel , day theme park, lunch, dinner ( in hotel function room) and Night park everything went smooth no problem at all. My friends and family enjoyed and had fun and surely will comeback for more❤️
Luvly ( — Google review
Rather complete water park with little zoo, amusement rides, water slides, wave pool, lazy river, adventure park and off course hot spring pools. Animal feeding at the petting zoo and hippo enclosure is a highlight for kids Glamping options here too A bit old but decently maintained. Only annoyed that they do not allow food in and kinda forces visitors to buy from the stores in there. Note that the store opens at 9am but the park opens at 11am

2Pavilion Petting Zoo

Zoo
Pavilion Petting Zoo is a delightful place for kids to spend time with adorable animals like hedgehogs, bunnies, ponies, goats, raccoons, porcupines, rabbits, lemurs, bats, tortoises, pythons and macaws. With over 50 species of domestic and wild animals to interact with and learn about their names and habits. The entrance fee is reasonable and there's ample free parking available.
Nice place to visit, they got cows, goats, chickens, peacocks, goose, deer, racoon, duck, pony and other small animals like hamsters and meerkat. Is a fun place where you can feed all the animals and the is sign that some animal might bite you. The feeding package price is reasonable. They also put some goat and chicken free run so you can pet the goat and chicken. But watch your step cause there might be some animals dropping on the floor.
Joel C — Google review
Entrance fee : RM8 per person I must say, this is the best petting zoo I have ever visited. My son had so much fun that we ended up spending two hours with all the animals. The animals seem genuinely happy, and they greet us in such a gentle and polite manner. One of the goats was mischievous and chewed on my blouse, which I found quite amusing! 😂 The zookeepers are incredibly helpful and kind, and it's clear they have a true passion for the animals, treating them with such gentleness and love. The place is well-maintained and clean, although there are a few slippery spots here and there, so be careful and wear sturdy slippers. This might be due to the rain from the previous night. My suggestion would be to improve ventilation in the area. I felt a bit suffocated, especially with the hot weather outside.
Masrur I — Google review
I know they did their best to keep the animals comfortable by using ice packs and fan. Environment quite humid and hot when I visited. FYI. Visitors aged 60 and above get free entry. I recommend buying some food from there to feed the animals—they seemed hungry but were still in good care.
Hoaishuang T — Google review
Here, you can get up close and interact with the animals, making it a wonderful place for both adults and children to bond. The animal feed sold for feeding is very reasonably priced, and you can also purchase family photos here as a keepsake. Admission is free for children aged 0–2 and seniors aged 60 and above. Regular tickets are RM8 per person.
Kelly O — Google review
A place with variety of animals, from tiny to large. Allowing interact, petting even feeding. Was really amazed when the Peacock opening its feather in front of us, especially the White ones. Suitable for all ages. Suggests to spend family days here. Only problem is it'll be very warm especially during afternoon. Hope the management will install roof insulation and improve the ventilation system.
Melvin A — Google review
Not bad & kids will definately enjoy..Took us 1hour to round the place which is not too big..Entrance is RM8 for both kids & adults..
Rashvin — Google review
It was a hot day, and the place was very hot to stay. I felt bad for the animals because they seemed to be suffering in the hot and it seems like their surviving is questionable. Plus, they seemed hungry too. I felt guilty after looking at them suffering.
Vaishali R — Google review
a large variety of animals. staff very friendly. feeding animals are an extra cost of 2-3rm per pack depending on animal. out of all the animals most interactive (but some can be a little aggressive) is the goats and deers. they will jump up for food and some are quite gentle so if looking to feed would suggest that pack. animals indoors seem to be well kept and happily sleeping or roaming around, some are scared of humans but not all so can easily find ones to pet. overall enjoyed the visit, just note it's half outdoor with no air-conditioning so was really hot. enjoyed and would recommend

3Ipoh Railway Station

4.1

Mentioned on

Ipoh Railway Station, also known as KTMB Ipoh Railway Station, is a century-old gem and a tourist hotspot for photography. It's a historical gem that's worth visiting in Ipoh. The station offers an opportunity to explore the British colonial gems beyond the food scene and is a must-visit for those interested in history and architecture. With its vintage charm, it provides an insight into the city's rich heritage and serves as a great spot for capturing timeless photographs.
What treat - I could spend days in that building. Ok there is luggage storage for large and small bags. Bring 5 and 10 MYR cash if you want to use the luggage storage. There is a nice walking tour you can do staring from the train station. Pic included.
Konain S — Google review
Overall still can acceptable , better check in system before you come here. All ticket can buy in advance in apps. Staff friendly and helpful . Only building still under renovation , leakage problem not yet solve it .
Evon C — Google review
Located in the middle of the town. Recommended to take a ride there since apparently it's not very pedestrian friendly. And it's hot. There's a specified spot for e-hailing, so don't get confused. Parkings are limited. Building is old and maintenance is definitely minimal despite it being a historical structure. Some vendors are setting up shop in and outside the train station. There used to be a hotel way back when, but don't know if it was operational in modern time. Prayer rooms are inside the waiting room, past the haunted looking stairs. Counter opens from 04:00 a.m. - 09:00 p.m. Waiting room is not very big, but at least there's fans blowing. Seats are plenty, though they're not for resting. People arriving from Kuala Lumpur and trying to exit the station is… crowded and hilarious. There's only 4 gates and tourists generally don't know how to queue or use the gate. Entering the gate on the other hand is quite peaceful since the train has not arrived yet. Restrooms are… surprisingly modern, though definitely need more maintenance. Was told that the woman's restroom had a leek. Place could definitely be haunted with the worn town paint and mold.
Herbert F — Google review
I recently stopped by Ipoh Railway Station during a trip through Perak, and it’s easily the busiest train hub north of Kuala Lumpur, serving as a key stop on the ETS line connecting to Penang and beyond. Built in 1917, this grand structure boasts stunning British colonial architecture with Moorish influences—think white domes, arches, and intricate facades that earned it the nickname “Taj Mahal of Ipoh.” It’s a fantastic spot for photos, especially the exterior against the manicured gardens and the iconic “IPOH” compass on the ground. Though it feels small by modern standards, it’s well-equipped to handle passengers given the relatively low train frequency. Facilities include clean toilets, a small cafe for quick bites and drinks, a convenience store, manual ticket counters, and self-service vending machines for easy purchases. There are also small elevators to access the platforms, making it accessible despite the historic design. The station is clean and organized, with lockers available for storage. Overall, it’s a charming blend of history and functionality, perfect for travelers or history buffs. No frills, but efficient and photogenic—highly recommend snapping some shots while waiting for your train. 4 stars for its heritage appeal and practicality.
Spare T — Google review
Government needs to upgrade the facilites. It was hot, leaking everywhere and the stalls oh god. Do not buy anything from the ice cream shop here, unless you want to be treated like trash by the owner. She treats as if we are begging her for money when we are the ones buying from her. Super rude. Do not recommend at all
Hyypia — Google review
Beautiful railway station with colonial charm. We took the train to go to KL from Ipoh which is nice and comfortable.
Sanford L — Google review
The main and only railway station in Ipoh. It has many years of history. Has been refurbished from those days where trains run without ac. Now it's very convenient to go everywhere from here. Up north to Butterworth or down south to Johor. Kudos to KTMB for providing the train services for all. We can have an option not to drive or take bus which is never punctual depending on traffic on the road. Only thing is, there is charges for using the toilet at this station. I wonder why? KL Sentral doesn't charge commuters for this. Maybe they should provide more food option for commuters too. Now just some stall selling snack.
Jac Y — Google review
This review is just about the luggage storage at the station :) there is luggage storage for big suitcases! But you need to bring 5 and 10 ringgit notes! No one in the station will give you change for bigger notes that I could find :( please be aware. When you enter the station , you can find luggage storage on the left side of the building by prayer rooms. 3-4 lockers were free each time we went in midweek 24 October. There are four very large lockers that will fit a big suitcase and some smaller lockers too. Each one costs 10rmb which you convert into tokens. You can only open them once.

Spa
Nestled within the enchanting Lost World of Tambun, the Crystal Spa offers a serene oasis for those seeking relaxation and rejuvenation. This tranquil retreat is conveniently located near soothing hot springs and features private villas where guests can indulge in an array of treatments, including massages and facials. Open from 6 to 11 PM, it's the perfect place to unwind after a day of adventure. Visitors can enjoy mineral-rich experiences like the Infinity Pool, Lost World Steam Cave, and Foot Spa.
Very good spa and massage, they employ local and very skilled staffs, got a beautiful steam room and some extra guasha service which we appreciate a lot 💪🏻
Hui M — Google review
The therapist had good skills, but the massage lacked variety as she kept pressing the same area, which eventually felt uncomfortable. The session also felt a little rushed, and the feet were completely skipped. Considering the premium price at a resort spa, I feel the service didn’t quite match the value.
Mokcik M — Google review
this is terrible… the boss let a lady massage for me, but she is “brand new ” “very new “ she knows nothing 🥶🥶🥶 The boss would like make money, but not like this way !!! I felt just kidding!
Hoo H — Google review
"Amazing Experience!" I had the most relaxing massage at Crystal Spa. The staff were professional and friendly, and the environment was clean and calming. I left feeling refreshed and stress-free. Highly recommend!
Jack C — Google review
Massage was alright. HOWEVER, during the massage the wristband for the locker key broke and I left it at the bed side. After the stone bath I proceeded to take a shower. After coming back I noticed the locker was open with the key. So I asked the masseus why the locker was open and she said that she was worried the key might get lost. Realizing it was a reasonable explanation I didn't mind too much until after making payment I realised a few hundred ringgit was missing from my wallet. Immediately I reported to the managment and waited two days for them to conclude my investigation. WORST part was when they called they said the women was very hardworking and sold nasi lemak in the morning. So are they trying to say I'm making up a story or wtv. There was no camera footage for the locker becuase it was located in the massage room. They however did offer me to provide me another 2 hour massage FOC but I declined as I was about to go back to KL. So my advise is to be careful with your belongings if you ever plan to get a massage.
Jason P — Google review
I absolutely love this spa. From their service to the amenities itself. The staff are all very professional and friendly and will make sure you are taken care of. They are highly attentive during the massage, from making sure to work on the areas you specified in the arrival form, checking in with you about the temperature of the room, working on the knots they find that you didnt even know you had, to making sure you’re always covered and feeling comfortable during the massage. I cannot recommend this place enough. Been there twice and will definitely go back again.
Syazana Y — Google review
Definitely the worst experience ever had. We have been make the booking thru online, and then the lady operator keep msging to tell they couldn’t make it on the time we booking ask to be there earlier. And she using her personal line to WhatsApp us to choose the package and we had confirm the package and she is replying “YES”. In the last we are there on the time she mentioned, but she told us we never reply on their office number and had to pay booking fees for the booking. You really think you are the only spa in the world? Ridiculous and confusing operation. Worst spa ever. 👎

Sunway Lost World Theme Park offers a unique experience with its natural mineral hot springs that glow at night in a jungle setting. The park also features a petting zoo and bistro for visitors to enjoy. While the area is generally quiet at night, it's important to keep valuables close due to occasional snatch thefts. Despite being on the pricier side, the park provides an enjoyable way for families to spend time together after dark.

Decent theme park for the price with awesome view around. Can spend 4-5 hours of fun time with family and friends. Place isn’t crowded so short to no waiting and few rides only.
Googly — Google review
We really enjoyed our visit to this theme park, especially the hot spring pool—it was the best part for us, as we could relax in the warm water after a day of fun. Surprisingly, we also loved their mini zoo. They had a wide variety of animals like capybaras, ponies, zebras, giraffes, hippos, and guinea pigs. Our favorite was the bird zone, where you could walk inside a giant aviary and interact closely with the birds. They also have a tiger feeding show in the afternoon. However, just like many other theme parks in Malaysia, the park was super hot in the afternoon, the food options were limited and overpriced, and some water pools didn’t seem very hygienic.
Kee K — Google review
Hotsprings are not that hot. They say it’s 40+ degrees celsius, but I think with the high number of people at the park, it is actually well below that. There was one pool that was actually warm, but still not that hot. If you ask me, don’t bother.

check-in on 11/6 for one nite stay...d front office personnels are very helpful and courteous (sharvin & arasi) and room is clean...however at d water theme park, am greatly disappointed to see no less than 50 Malay females wearing tudung dip inside d hot spa (am sure tudung wore since tis morning) and 1-2 females wearing wat looks like normal tight (not meant for spa) also dip inside d pool...am sure guards are fully awared but turned blind eyes...I will think 3X to go inside d pool again...also 2-3 Chinese ladies wearing round neck teeshirt also went inside d pool....it's a rojak SPA seems...disappointed !

Great change of pace family activity, and a great way to cool down at the end of a hot Malaysian day! Do your sightseeing during the day and go to Lost World in the late afternoon, early evening. And this place has all the details covered: retail, food/beverage, lockers, showers, and a bit of entertainment. Very picturesque setting, with the park built nestled alongside some of Malaysia's tall limestone cliffs. Prices reasonable too at least in comparison to themeparks in the USA. On the other hand, heavily used men's shower/toilet/changing room did have underlying urine smell which raises cleanliness question, or at least the frequency with which housekeeping staff cleans the area. Never the less, it's worth making Lost World part of your visit, IMO.

The place is good, the activity is a lot.. just need to check the water quality because it's kind of dirty. Looks like not get clean for a month

Went here for my pet. Dr Teoh and his assistant May were very helpful and took time to explain regarding my pet condition. Doctor was really professional and knowledable. Well done.

Easy parking. Personally felt doctor and staff no empathy. Staff need standard people practice guide badly. Price wise is very expensive.I felt bad when the doctor say" you can admit your dog, but no one at nite to tc of him... If anything your dog will die alone.... No resuscitation."
Pamela E — Google review
The doc misdiagnosed my dog with cancer and said he will not able to make it for the next 2 days, want us to put him to sleep. We rejected and look for another vet. He is not so healthy and happy. Recently saw a friend posted in fb, same case happened to her and the doc nvm even wait for her to say goodbye. Doc with no sympathy.

Libra S — Google review
A bit expensive but during COVID time, it's hard tk find clinic that doesn't need reservation. Vet/Doctor are really good, tho sometimes I wish they did a more thorough job. However probably those are when the patients conditions are not so serious and vague. Receptionist could do better.... Tone of voice is off, acts annoyed and sighed so loudly to me when I misunderstood.... Sometimes I think she just has bad days but it's happening quite often. Maybe she should change her job if she doesn't like it 😐 Not customer friendly.

RM 25 FOR A CONSULTATION (CAT)??? This vet is a blessing. The service is freaking amazing. The receptionist is super kind. And the veterinarian is a freaking saint. He's so kind and soft spoken. This is the place to go no doubt about it. THANKS FOR TAKING CARE OF OUR CATS!! Your vet is a blessing to everyone nearby.

Coffee shop
Dulang Tea House is a unique spot located within a limestone cave, featuring giant elephant sculptures as seating. The place pays tribute to the elephants that were once prized by sultans and used as transportation for tons of tin. Visitors can also experience Dulang Washing (Tin Ore Panning) in the nearby river, where they can filter out sandy black ore bits with the guidance of park staff. The teahouse offers Chinese tea, roasted coffee, eggs, and toast at affordable prices.
The roti bakar tasted super nice but the chicken curry was even better with a thick gravy. Price is a bit inflated because it’s located inside the theme park but recommended nevertheless.

The food varieties available at the park are satisfying and delicious with affordable price. We had a chance to experience “Roti Tumbuk” for the first time here at “Dulang Tea House” ! “Dulang” is an eatery place with amazing view under a cave with authentic malaysian kopitiam style of food. I have to highlight a staff here : Kak Asni, for her amazing service and super helpful towards my family. Most of the staffs here in Lost World of Tambun are indeed very friendly and kudos to them for their service!
