Water & Amusement Parks
Theme park
Blackpool Pleasure Beach is a renowned resort offering an array of thrilling rides, rollercoasters, and attractions for younger kids. Visitors can also enjoy live entertainment, shows, and dining options. For a different perspective of Blackpool, tourists can explore the area by bike using Cycle Blackpool's 24-hour urban bike-hire scheme with numerous locations across the town. The flat terrain and well-signposted routes make it ideal for cycling enthusiasts.
Very nice theme park directly at the coast. During our stay, most of the rides were operational and they only had to close "The big One" due to high winds. Both Valhalla and Icon were absolute highlights for us and make the trip to the park worth it by themselves. The park was spotless and the employees were all very friendly and competent. Food, drinks and souvenirs were reasonably priced. Souvenirs were often unique and of high quality. The entry fee is quite steep for a single ticket but get SIGNIFICANTLY cheaper when you buy multiple tickets online. We parked directly at the North entrance, which was pricey, but there's cheaper parking available nearby. We were not aware that we could not bring food I to the park, which was slightly annoying and we had to put it into a locker outside the park that costs 8 pounds for the day. Check what you can bring with you before you come here! We had the VIP speed passes, so wait times were a non issue for us - but these passes are enormously expensive (we only got them as the visit was a birthday present for our two sons). However, you can buy speed passes for single rides directly through the excellent app if waiting times turn out to be too long. We very much enjoyed our stay and would recommend the park to friends and family, should they ever travel to the area (and have an interest in excellent and exciting coasters).
Jan P — Google review
The pleasure beach is very much reduced since we last visited. I believe you have to buy tickets to ride before you can go inside. There used to be lots of stalls games food etc. That s all gone. That end of the town is pretty much shut down. No open businesses on the promenade. The illuminations are really nice they've been dramatically updated
Goldbargurl — Google review
Really enjoyed the day not been since I was younger although I live in the town! Bought tickets in advance so had an e-ticket which was no problem. As a resident you do get a small discount. Think we payed £35 per ticket. Lots of rides to suit all ages. Small rides had pretty much no queues , the large rides like The big one, avalanche, Icon had to wait 30mins, but worth the wait! Love the old fashioned wood rollercoaster unfortunately the big dipper was closed but the grand national was open. There is a hog warts train which goes round the park , which is great for little ones and grownups. The station is a good replica of an old fashioned station. Park was very clean, toilets spotless and attended always cleaning the loos. Staff great happy to help and very friendly. My only complaint is not enough signs telling you where rides are. You can download app and there is a map on the app, which is easy enough to use. Arcade on site with traditional 2p machines and others, small stores like hook the duck and basketball ball games. Burger King , Cafe, and other stalls selling chips ect. Well worth a visit if your in Blackpool
Andrew W — Google review
Even though it was windy, cold, and wet at times, we had a great day at Blackpool Pleasure Beach. The queues weren't too bad, and the rides were great. To be honest you really need longer than a day to get around all the rides, and next time we will attend for 2 days. At this time of year its getting dark around 4pm, so you have a few hours riding in the dark 👌 I went with 4 stars due to 3 main issues. 1. The on-site carpark is £18 for the day 🤯 Ouch! I feel that is a little steep, but it does keep the carpark quite available, and there are other carparks available nearby if you don't mind a little walk. 2. They only allow bottles of water to be brought into the park. We turned up with 3 small bottles of pop and were told we needed to either throw them away or store them in a locker on the external side of the park. The only reason for this is to encourage you to buy drinks in the park, and no other reason. Personally, when there are 3 paying guests, all with 1 small drink each I find it inappropriate, and not like we were all bringing in several 2-litre bottles for the day. We didn't take any food with us, as we intended to buy food inside, but you will also find no food is allowed to be taken into the park either to encourage you to buy inside the park 🤷‍♂️ 3. The price for the lockers are also ridiculous. £6 for a small locker, £8 for a medium sized locker, and I believe the large lockers were a tenner 🤯 We found out that only medium lockers were still available, so we paid £8 to store our contraband pop in 😂🫣 All in all we had a great day, and next time we will come more prepared 😊👍

Staff are friendly and helpful. Rides are amazing. Food and drinks are good quality and not quite as expensive as you might think. Getting in when you arrive can take a bit of time but security is there for everyone’s benefit so you just need a little patience. If you’re visiting with family, I’d strongly suggest a go on the Alice in Wonderland ride as it’s looking fantastic this year! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
David K — Google review
This park was THE surprise of my UK tour. On our visit, the park luckily wasn’t very crowded, so we got everything done including re rides. All of the major attractions were open, even though it was looking like we would miss out on the Big One, but they got it open. Operations on all of the rides were quick, the Burger King inside the park allowed for cheaper food options, and the park was well kept. I was especially surprised by the atmosphere of the park, and by the super kind staff. I highly recommend a visit to this underrated park, and I highly recommend trying out Enso, it’s worth the extra money.
Johan P — Google review
Absolutely love it. extreme thrill coasters like The Big One (a hypercoaster) and Icon (a double-launch coaster), numerous historic wooden roller coasters (like Grand National and Big Dipper), and the immersive Valhalla water dark ride Family friendly environment.

⭐️⭐️⭐️ 3/5 We visited Blackpool Pleasure Beach on Saturday 18th October and had a good day overall. The park was nice and quiet so we managed to get on all the main rides several times which was great. The queues were short, the fast lines worked well and most of the staff were friendly and polite. It was also good that the rides stayed open right up until the last riding time as stated. There were a few things that let the day down a bit. Not all of the rides were open and the park looked quite run down in places. There were some rubbish bags around and quite a bit of litter which made it feel a bit untidy. It also looked a little tired and could really do with some care and updates. Food options indoors were very limited too, with only Burger King open and the staff there weren’t the friendliest. It’s still worth a visit, especially when it’s quiet, but it would be nice to see the park given a bit of TLC and for the website to show clearly which rides are closed before you go.

British restaurant
The White Tower Restaurant is a prominent british restaurant with amazing views of the town and the sea. It offers a comfortable fine dining experience with British cuisine that can also include some international influences. The restaurant is located on the penthouse floor of Blackpools Casino Building, giving guests fantastic views of the promenade and ocean beyond.
Our yearly festive lunch. It was delicious. We were looked after by Logan and Daisy. The pianist was sublime. Our lunch was so excellent as ever. Good value.

Absolutely gorgeous two course meal 🥘 we opted for mains of fillet steak stroganoff with a dessert of Bailies crème brûlée 🍮 both mains and sweet were absolutely exceptional. Wine 🍷 was a very pleasant and full rounded red and service ambience and atmosphere of the white tower restaurant was truly amazing. We would have no hesitation in returning to try more delicious dishes off the menu and would highly recommend if you are looking for somewhere special and memorable for a special occasion or even a date night treat.
Craig S — Google review
Visited here last weekend for my girlfriends' mum's birthday. It was really nice, all the staff were brilliant. I had the confit duck starter and chicken main, her dad got a fillet steak which I was jealous of once I saw it, and my partner had the nicest gnocchi either of us have tasted (smoked cheese in tomato sauce). The view was lovely, could see all the illuminations and the fireworks competition was on too so we were perfectly places to watch those go off over north pier. We went in the evening, but I'm sure it looks lovely on a sunny day too! Worth a visit, prices aren't bad either!
Chris H — Google review
Great spot in Blackpool. Nothing else quite like it locally. Reasonably priced for the set menus on a Sunday.
George C — Google review
I visited here in the 80s and thought I would bring my wife. The place is a bit dated and tired. The prawn cocktails were lovely, with really juicy prawns and a nice sauce. I had the roast sirloin, and my wife had the lamb shank. Both were cooked well, with lots of vegetables. My only disappointment was the roast potatoes. My wife loved the minted mash. The waitresses were really friendly. Overall, it was a good experience.
Michael J — Google review
Well, what can I say. I've been here for the 1st time for fathers Day and will not be my last. Set menu 3 courses. Good portion size and could not clear the main course veg and potatoes. Cauliflower cheese was delicious. Veg cooked to exactly how I like it, not too crunchy to break your teeth but not mushy where the life has been boiled out of it. The deserts were lovely with cheese board as an option and coffee included. We had a treat and upgraded to a garlick coffee with brandy. Delicious

Lovely food. Great view of the promenade, would be a better view if the windows get cleaned once in a while
Paul E — Google review
We came here as a surprise for my girlfriend and wow, it was truly magnificent! It was at the end of September last year so there was fireworks on display which we saw from the tower and they had a pianist playing music for ambience! The food was tasty, especially the Crème Brûlée!

Fast food restaurant
Burger King is a renowned fast-food chain that specializes in serving up delicious grilled burgers, crispy fries, and creamy shakes. Known for its signature offerings, the restaurant truly lives up to its name by delivering some of the best burgers in the fast-food realm. A personal favorite among many is the Bacon Double Cheese burger, which evokes nostalgic memories for some diners.
Quick service, food quality was good and everything was hot and fresh. Only downside is you can't use the BK App here for discounts/mobile order you only Ned a physical voucher
Waled A — Google review
Decent on site branch of burger King, it's pretty large branch, there's an upstairs, and seating outside. You can order using a terminal or human being which is sometimes quicker. Food is served quick which means everything is fresh, it gets really busy but despite the crowd size, you'll be served quickly. There's no increase in price even though its the only branded fast food restaurant at pleasure beach.
Mister E — Google review
This was one of the Worst restaurants I have ever been in! The amount of food, sauce and rubbish on the floor was crazy, more cleaners definitely needed. The staff were alright but we're shouting quite loud. The lack of fresh air made it feel stuffy and the toilets were the worst bit. Tissues everywhere and it stunk. There is better options in the park
Rylee B — Google review
The food was terrible, undercooked and not 'crispy' as said in the name of the burger/chicken nuggets purchased. It was an extortionate price of £12 for a burger and about 2 chips thrown into a bag and given to me with sauce splattered all around the bag, my drink had no lid and my sons chicken nuggets were soft and squishy he said they tasted horrible. The customer service was not favorable as the workers were shouting out orders as quietly as possible which gave multiple people a hard time to hear their food was ready to be collected. The atmosphere was horrible and cramped. Not many seats felt like everyone was pressuring me into a tight area. 1 star horrible experience ❤️
Thomas R — Google review
This place should not be allowed to operate. We used the disabled toilet and it was utterly disgusting there was a big pool of water ( I hope) in the middle of the floor the toilet roll dispenser had half fallen off the wall which ment you couldn’t get any paper out of it properly and the toilet was brown inside no one obviously cleans it correctly. There was one guy cleaning and tiding and the place was absolutely heaving! No good enough! Way below hygiene and safety standards
Daniel T — Google review
You need to sort the mens toilets out upstairs. They absolutely stink of urine, it actually made me feel sick and put me off my food! You can hardly breath with the stench in there 🤢
Dominic F — Google review
Got a burger but so annoying and bad as they don't take rewards from app and you can't online order to skip the massive queue. That's why I have given a 1 star
William W — Google review
Food was luke warm and coffee stone cold! Visited the toilets which were disgusting 🫣 toilet tissue covered floors, cleaning products just left hanging on a sink in reach for children!!

Roller coaster
The Grand National is a historic roller coaster at Blackpool Pleasure Beach, designed by Charles Paige and opened in 1935. It features a unique racing layout with two parallel tracks for side-by-side train races. Despite its age, the ride remains an iconic attraction at the park, offering a thrilling experience with its wooden structure. The padded seats provide some comfort during the exhilarating twists and turns.
This ride can and will hurt you. Its an absolute legend but if you get the faster train you will get slammed into your seat. Its a legendary ride and I am so happy its here but it should be skipped if you don't want to be beaten up a bit. If you don't mid how rough it is, its very fun.
Volpaire — Google review
I would strongly advise against going on this ride. I'm an avid roller coaster rider, and I love fast rides with drops, but this was painful, and the drops just kept coming. It was a nightmare. There's a disclaimer at the front stating not to ride if you have neck or spinal issues, but this ride has GIVEN me neck issues. The drops are extremely dangerous! My neck's spinal area was injured badly during the ride, and now I'm in severe pain, barely able to move today. This ride is a serious risk to your health, and I wouldn't recommend anyone to go on it. I wish I had seen reviews like this before. It's not worth the risk.
Lisha — Google review
First time riding. Awesome historic coaster, extremely fast and fun. Only downside is the lap bars as they are way too restrictive. Mine ratcheted too tight on one of the drops which was painful and prevented any airtime. Would love to have experienced it without the lap bars!
L E — Google review
Absolutely brutal. If you've ever wanted to experience what it's like to be repeatedly punched in the spine by a Victorian ghost with anger issues, the Grand National is for you. Every drop is less a thrill and more a blunt-force trauma event, like being body-slammed by a wardrobe while riding a shopping trolley down stairs. The wooden rattle of this relic isn’t charming nostalgia but a full-body chiropractic assault. I went on for the fun, I left needing a neck brace and emotional support. Highly recommended if you enjoy whiplash, regret, and questioning your life choices at 40mph. Sit at the back if you want bonus broken bones.
Gavin C — Google review
Possibly the best woodie in England? Currently the world's only operating Mobius loop type coaster as Racer at Kennywood USA is getting refurbished and the other one in Mexico is standing but not operating. This really is a rare beast of a ride and despite having 2 trains, they both run on the one single track. Hope it gets more track work over the next few closed seasons again. Love this ride.
Daniel B — Google review
Worse ride I’ve ever been on. So dangerous, jolts are so hard and sudden you can’t enjoy the ride, every drop shudders through your spine and ribs. Didn’t think the reviews would be so accurate.
Matt H — Google review
The greatest ride in great britain. If your going on for the first time I recommend the front or 2nd row of each carriage. If you like it rough then back row and 3rd row left side as u walking in are the worse. It's so much fun. Best ride I've ever been on happy 90th birthday. May u see your 100th.

The Globe Theatre is conveniently located near the ticket sales and main car park, making it easily accessible for visitors. The friendly and accommodating staff provide support for individuals with special needs, ensuring a comfortable experience during shows. The venue offers a great theater-style setting, ideal for enjoying various performances without breaking the bank. Visitors can expect a pleasant ambiance and excellent views from all seats, creating a superb atmosphere for an enjoyable time at the theater.
I went to see Aladdin on the 23rd and took my Niece who is Autistic. Unfortunately Hannah was really not happy inside and was having several emotional meltdowns. We spent most of the time in the entrance and the lovely security man Jeff kept her company dancing away with her. Just want to say a huge thank you to Jeff for being such a top bloke! I hope everyone can be a bit more Jeff. Merry Christmas x
Elizabeth W — Google review
We went to see Cabaret Extreme at The Globe Theatre in Blackpool Pleasure Beach, and despite a slightly chaotic start, it turned into a brilliant night out. Finding the venue was our first challenge, as we managed to walk straight past it like a pair of seasoned tourists. Once we figured out where to go, one of the event staff (not Pleasure Beach staff, I think) told us that with a QR code we could go straight in and someone would help us to our seats. Sounded simple enough. We grabbed a drink first, which was smooth and easy, and then headed in to find our seats. Now, the lady showing people to their seats looked like she’d had a long day and was rapidly losing the will to live. She pointed us in the right direction, but her soul had clearly left the building some time earlier. Still, we found our seats fine, front row, and I was feeling rather smug until I realised how lucky we were not to have gone VIP. Turns out there was a massive mix-up with the VIP bookings. Loads of double-booked seats, confused guests, and plenty of people not happy about paying extra to play musical chairs. The poor girl who’d shown us our seats eventually seemed to give up entirely, and a new guy had to swoop in to handle the growing queue of disgruntled customers. Bless her though, she was clearly having that kind of day. After the seating disaster, she reappeared behind the coffee counter during the intermission. First, she spilled someone’s brew, and then when it came to our turn, the coffee machine gave up completely. You couldn’t make it up. Meanwhile, two ladies in the audience decided the rules didn’t apply to them and kept wandering up to the stage taking selfies and videos of the cast, despite being told several times not to. Eventually, staff had enough and told them to leave. Massive respect to whoever finally had to deal with that circus. As for the actual show? Absolutely brilliant. The performers were top-tier, the atmosphere was great, and I’d 100 percent see Cabaret Extreme again. If I had to give feedback, I’d say the Pleasure Beach team really need to sort out their seating system, and the online booking page could do with showing a more accurate idea of what “VIP” actually is. Online it looked like you got some lovely spacious seating, but in reality it was a bit of a squeeze. The guy in front of me was that close, if his chair vanished he’d have landed straight in my lap. All in all, a chaotic start, a few laughs (some intentional, some not), and a fantastic night out.
James B — Google review
We went to see Aladdin on its opening day and were not disappointed. The production was excellent, and the performers were talented. Would recommend for any age group. This is quite a small venue, but that means all seats have a great view.
Tracey B — Google review
Friendly staff even though they opened the doors for the performance late. We actually got to sit in our paid seats even though many people couldn't in the past. They advertised the show with two separate titles. So we ended up paying for the same show twice. We brought this up with management and they refused to rectify their error. The show was amazing however not amazing enough to pay for twice. Don't be fooled, they have the same show with two completely different names for it.
Bodhi G — Google review
Just want to say thank you so much to the incredibly helpful and friendly, and well informed staff, who supported my Autistic child when they found the HOT ICE show a little overwhelming. They seated them in the disabled access seats, and gave warning when there was going to be loud noises/abrupt lighting/flashes/flames etc. A job well done, and as a parent, I was really heartened to witness such kindness, thank you

Amusement park ride
Valhalla is a unique destination offering an unparalleled atmosphere and a wide selection of craft beer, ale, and mead along with delicious home-cooked food. Visitors can enjoy great music while indulging in the ultimate experience for those who appreciate good drinks. The ride at Valhalla offers an amazing water adventure that takes place in the dark, providing an element of surprise and excitement. It's known for its safety measures and the thrill of getting completely soaked during the ride.
If you're looking to get absolutely drenched, this is 100% the ride for you. I went in expecting a leisurely viking boat ride with maybe one mega splash drop but in actual fact this ride is epic. The boat takes you through fire and LOTS water. I laughed the whole way round. That's all I'll say as I don't want to spoil it too much.
Becka B — Google review
Amazing from start to finish however you WILL get drenched bring a change of clothes if something. Also reading other reviews this ride is safe yes it may not have anything to keep you in but all forces balance out so you are safe also SPOILER there is no longer a backwards drop but it’s fast paced and fun younger people may call it scary you will be in pitch black and there is loud sounds be careful!
Liam B — Google review
The BEST water ride in the WORLD. The people who are complaining about getting wet are probably just a bit dull. It’s a log flume: you WILL get wet. The theming is out of this world and the amount of effects is insane. I genuinely think 1 ride on Valhalla is worth the price for the whole ticket.
Eleanor S — Google review
This ride will get you soaked, so be prepared. Change of clothes. Plus, DO NOT bring any of your belongings on with you as they will refuse to allow you to put them by the side which I found odd. They were rude about this too. Other than the staff however, the ride is so thrilling from the drops, to the constant water you are caked in and more importantly the interesting design and atmosphere of the ride. The only 2 things that are missing which featured in the previous version of the ride is the ice cold room and the real flames that genuinely warmed you up, which was a shame. Excellent ride, would heavily recommend.
Will R — Google review
Best wet ride of any park! Incredible theming and atmosphere! The ring of fire at the end is awesome! Only wet ride I have seen a vacuum used to remove excess water from the boats, a real soaker!

Nickelodeon Land is a themed amusement park with rides based on popular TV shows like SpongeBob SquarePants and Rugrats. It's perfect for little kids, but has some rides that are suitable for adults too. The park is full of fun, nostalgic attractions that will bring back memories for anyone who visits.
Lovely themed area really bright and looks very looked after the best ride is Nickelodeon streak by far!

Brilliant day out and makes up a trip to Blackpool, there so much to do here. We spent a whole 6 hours here and it was nonstop fun packed! Some ride waiting times were linger than others for the more popular rides but that's what you expect at any theme park. Overall, it wasn't an extensive wait no longer than 20 mins. We spent most of our time in Nickelodeon Land, which my 9 and 7 year old LOVED! Met Squidward, Spongebob and Patrick which I'm sure they'll never forget. My top tips would be to get there about 11am, bring a packed lunch and plenty of snacks as food on the park is expensive, again expected so be prepared. Also bring a powerbank to charge your phone or you can get a print off of the code at guest services, maps are available which I recommend grabbing at the start (entrance), you have to scan every time you ride which can drain the battery. If you are booking book a week or two in advance to get a cheaper price as booking the day before is expensive no matter the discount, also use KidsPass to compare the price it may be cheaper. It's windy and cold even on a sunny day so definitely bring jumpers and a raincoat. My advice would be to enjoy the day, have patience, expect to wait around a bit but overall just have fun, it's a really well designed and played out theme park. Worth every penny seeing my little ones face on that blue flyer.

This colourful section of Blackpool Pleasure Beach is themed around popular Nickelodeon shows and is mainly aimed at children! While it’s perfect for younger guests, many of the rides are great fun for all ages. With vibrant theming, character appearances, and playful attractions, it’s a lively area that families can enjoy together. A must-visit if you're going with little ones, or just feeling nostalgic!

This was advertised as a peak day I booked an e-ticket for Nickelodeon land, checked all the height restrictions and my son was able to get on majority of the rides accompanied by an adult. This was advertised as a peak day so it offered me premium parking for £20 which i purchased. When i arrived there is an empty carpark right outside the entrance for half the price, the premium parking didn’t even have an attendant I could just drive right in. When we got into the park and I loaded up the app, half the rides were closed even though this was advertised as a peak day, there was no meet and greets and everything closed at 4 which they also didn’t tell you. We then tried to have a shot of the Wallace and gromit family ride and the ghost train to be told I would need to buy a full pleasure beach ticket for my 2 year old to have a shot on each of these rides the lady for the Wallace and gromit ride was also extremely rude. I wouldn’t recommend. The blue kids rollercoaster was the only one that made our day the guys that operate this were brilliant with my son

Excellent kids theme park, definitely recommended for younger kids. Most of the rides should be suitable for 5+, some will require an adult to accompany them. There are height restrictions do you need to be sensible. Staff are friendly, and accommodating. Nickelodeon land is included in the entry to pleasure beach. The nickelodeon streak may not be suitable for younger, or smaller kids that just meet the height restrictions as they will get thrown about a bit. My youngest who was sat with me, his head was jerked violently side to side, and he would hit my shoulder a lot so be aware that this ride may not be suitable. This and the airbender one are the most extreme rides they have for kids. The blue rider one should be OK as it doesn't go as fast, or have much elevation drops. Note that this part of the theme park closes at 5pm, unlike the rest which closes at 6pm. Highly recommended.

The UK's only Nickelodeon Land with something here for children of all ages. Everything from a log flume to a coaster plus regular character appearances and food outlets. It's fantastic how fresh and clean Pleasure Beach keep Nickelodeon Land looking as well. Plenty of photo opportunities and a very vibrant place to be.

Infusion is a thrilling roller coaster that opened in 1994 and was once the tallest, fastest, and steepest of its kind. It measures 5,497 feet long and offers an exhilarating experience with fast speeds and crazy upside-down turns. While queues can be long during peak times, getting there early is worth it for this amazing ride. However, tall individuals should be cautious as there have been reports of discomfort due to metal bars.
I wanted to go on infusion. I couldn't because of ICON. I was really upset by the fact I couldn't go. It isn't my fault that icon 0 to 60 is ONE WHOLE SECOND - i changed my mind when i saw it. Most people would mayb poo themselves on that ride. I was really sad. £50 for a ticket. Can't leave me to wait. I'm 12. 13 in September. I can't be trusted to be left by myself ;_; next time is October. Man :(

A rough rollercoaster over a nice area. It looks very pretty with the blue track, but it doesn't ride well. I recommend trying to keep your head as far forwards as you can to reduce the discomfort
Ben S — Google review
Have honestly never experienced a problem with any of the headbanging that people always complain about, I think that body shape and size is a big factor as regards to this. It's an extremely fast ride with great transitions and an awesome first drop. In my opinion a section of it perhaps needs a retrack and it would be great to see some new age trains in action on here, but overall it's an absolutely brilliant ride in my opinion and one I always look forward to getting on. It looks amazing off ride as well.
Daniel B — Google review
it was okay until after i got whiplash, i’ve never had a problem with it before, no head banging as i always have kept my head at the back of the seat, but this time i had to to the doctors for whiplash, it’s a good coaster but clearly not that safe.
Flo M — Google review
Really enjoyed this ride, a warning to those with earings etc might be worth taking them out as the ride does bash your head from side to side throughout the ride. As long as you sit back into the seat it reduces the movement. Really fast and a good ride overall

We visited BPB this weekend as part of birthday celebrations for our son. A fantastic day out had by all. The wooden roller coasters are still the best. Everywhere, including toilets, all very clean and well maintained (except for those run by a certain independent burger chain!). The Big Dipper still a favourite 😍

Blue Flyer, previously known as Zipper Dipper and Warburtons Milk Roll-A-Coaster, is a classic wooden roller coaster located in Nickelodeon Land at Blackpool Pleasure Beach. Designed by Frank Wright and opened in 1934, this iconic ride features a blue track and train cars. Aimed at younger children, it offers small dips and a tunnel for an enjoyable experience. With only one train and lasting about a minute, queues can get long during peak times.
This charming little roller coaster has been delighting visitors since 1934 and was officially recognised for its heritage value with a Grade II listing in April 2017. A perfect starter coaster for both kids and adults, Blue Flyer offers a gentle thrill with its classic wooden design. It’s like a mini roller coaster taster — short, smooth, and full of nostalgic fun. A great introduction to coasters and a lovely piece of Blackpool Pleasure Beach history!

Built in 1935. Excellent stuff for rollercoaster history enthusiasts. It still has the manual brakes! Sit in the front for some fun airtime. Small but fun.

Small roller coaster, aimed at younger kids, I think this is more appropriate for 7 and under kids, or if your kids are just over the 117cm height restriction on the nickelodeon steak ride. It's not as fast, the drops are not as extreme so it's safer for younger and smaller kids.

Blackpool Zoo is a 32-acre woodland zoo that offers a unique experience to visitors. It houses a variety of animals including big cats, gorillas, and elephants. The zoo also provides train tours and offers discounts for members. In addition to the zoo, Blackpool has plenty of attractions such as the iconic Blackpool Tower, Pleasure Beach Resort, three piers, Winter Gardens, and Grand Theatre.
Fantastic afternoon out with the wife, lovely and quiet (early Oct visit). My wife went round in her mobility scooter and she found it easy to get round. Very accessable into all the enclosures. All the animals are well looked after and nice to see ongoing improvements around the zoo. Looking forward to returning next year with our grandson

10/10 brilliant day out. We spent about 4 hours here. Loads to see, lots of animals. We even saw the baby elephant too. Food was handsome bit quite pricey, we bought online lunch tickets so turned out a bit cheaper. Take your walking shoes though.
Kelly F — Google review
Great zoo, lots of animals to see, and enclosures are well designed to allow outdoor and indoor viewing. It was quite cold and wet when we went, but we were still able to see all of the animals even if they were sheltering inside. We were told that a baby elephant had been born very recently and were really lucky to be able to see her in the afternoon when it was quieter. Lots of maps and well signposted so you can easily see where each animal habit is located. Quite a bit of expansion and improvement work on some of the enclosures (giraffes, wolves) so some areas were closed off, but still plenty of places to see those animals. Only seemed to be one main food area on the site, which got very busy because of the weather. Lots of picnic benches but very few under cover. I think there are a few other little food and coffee booths but they were closed when we went past them. Halloween theme for Half Term, lots of skeletons and spider webs added to the trees and walkways, clearly a lot of effort made to create the atmosphere, was a lot of fun trying to spot the little things that had been hidden away. Wizard themed event trail for the kids to follow. We had paid for tickets through a promotion at our hotel, but there was only a separate queue for members, everyone else waited in the same line so no apparent advantage for pre-booking online.
Steve E — Google review
Really fantastic zoo, went in with lower expectations as have enjoyed some of the larger zoos in the UK, however this one packs souch in while remaining fairly small to walk around (which is a huge plus, especially with kids!). Good range of different animals, the gorillas and the baby orangutan especially were great to see. Big plus that the restaurant has decent options plus a Subway inside so you're well served for a quick lunch too.

Hand down my favourite zoo! Clean, fantastic range of species and great layout. Absolutely amazing and a great day out. Only just managed to see it all in a day but had to rush near the end end. Will definitely be going back!
Chris A — Google review
A great place to visit, just the right size, so you can spend quality time with each exhibit. Loved seeing the baby elephant, amazing. Each enclosure looks well looked after & new things going on. The only thing which I would like to see is somewhere enclosed for people who brought packed lunches, it was raining at lunchtime when we went & not any dry places to sit & eat. The zoo is good value & great if you have Tesco points to swap. Would recommend a visit to this lovely zoo.
Helen D — Google review
This is a smaller zoo that is making big improvements to the animal enclosures. Membership is reasonable and visited October during wizarding and Halloween activities. The staff are friendly except staff member on train who was making it clear he wasn't happy with the train not working correctly. The tigers are beautiful and recent baby elephant is worth the trip alone!!
Rachael G — Google review
Brilliant zoo. The elephant house currently has reduced opening hours to support the wellbeing of the new baby. Loved the Halloween pop up shop and quest. Can get busy but there is ample parking and once inside there is enough space to not feel busy. Beware of seagulls trying to steal your bucket of chips!

The park also features facilities such as snack outlets and arcades to keep everyone entertained. Visitors can enjoy discounts by booking tickets in advance online. One of the highlights is the Master Blaster, known as the world's longest indoor roller coaster water slide.
Oh my. What a beautiful place. I love it, the wife loves it, the kids don't want to leave and want to come back everyday. Excellent value for money, loads of fun things to do and what a good way for families to spend time together on the budget. The changing room is clean, the temperature is absolutely conducive and there is at least one thing for everyone and suitable for people with disabilities as well. Love it

Great place to enjoy family time and relax. Great facilities and fun. Staff are also okay, some are ready to assist and prioritise safety. The spa section is good but the tags given doesn't work, even after complaining and getting another one, it still did not work. The locker technology and safety measures are quite impressive.
Oyeleke O — Google review
We came here during the holidays and we had a decent experience. The queues weren't horrendous and we enjoyed the wave pool. However, the place was absolutely slammed, it felt quite claustrophobic. I also feel that this is a place you would enjoy more if you have kids, less so for a group of adults.
Anna J — Google review
My kids loved the experience. Very huge waterpark we definitely going back. Very warm inside lots of activities
DJ J — Google review
Totally Worth It! We booked our tickets online when we reached the park, and even though it was a bank holiday weekend, we managed to get them easily. There was a rush for the later slots, but we chose the 9:30 AM slot—and that turned out to be a brilliant decision! The early slot is definitely the best choice. Later slots had long queues, with up to 30-minute waits for slides. In the early slot, we enjoyed most rides with no waiting. Early arrivals also get the best parking since it fills up quickly as the day goes on. The water felt noticeably warmer in the morning session, which made it even more enjoyable. Facilities like lockers and wristbands worked perfectly, and you can access your locker as many times as needed. You can add money to your wristband for food, drinks, and photos, which is super convenient—and any unused balance is easily refunded at the end of your visit. There are eating facilities inside with a decent variety, though prices are a bit on the higher side. The wave pool is fun, but the wave session felt quite short—probably under 2 minutes. A longer wave time would definitely improve the experience. For rides, start with the big thrill ones—Aztec Falls, The Sidewinder, and Master Blaster are must-tries for adults and thrill-seekers. The Splash Zone is a definite highlight, especially for kids and families. Once you’ve done the main slides, take your time to relax in the pools and explore the rest of the park. Swimwear rules are clearly listed online, so it’s worth checking in advance. You can take some pictures inside the park, just be mindful of other guests' privacy. Overall, we had a fantastic time. The only things that could make it better? Slightly lower prices, longer sessions—and definitely a longer wave pool run. Because honestly, the fun never ends!
Ashish P — Google review
We decided to visit the water park on a very wet and windy day in Blackpool, This is not the cheapest attraction around at £76 for the 3 of us, but it dose offer 3hrs of pool time which we found to be clean and warm the slides are good and an good amount of them. The lazy river was our fav. My only down side was not been able to ride the master blaster due to a weight limit. i do wish that this was better posted and the signage was small and behind you when stood in the queue. I was asked to stand on a scale which went red for me and i am not a small fella nor am i a big one too. i felt so embarrassed to be told that i was over weight and could not ride, i then had to wait at the bottom while my son and wife went on the slide. i asked the staff member if this was for all the rides but lucky it was just this one. this really needs to be better advertised as body shaming people in public is not a good thing to be doing. After this we did go on the other slides and enjoyed our time here.
Mark P — Google review
We had a fantastic day at this waterpark! The selection of slides is excellent, with something for all ages. Our little one especially loved the splash area designed just for younger kids, and the lazy river was a highlight for the whole family—relaxing and beautifully done. The entire place is brilliantly themed, with lush decorations, jungle vibes, and even real olam trees outside that add to the tropical feel. Staff were lovely—friendly, helpful, and attentive—and there were plenty of lifeguards on duty, which made us feel safe. There’s even a water photographer around to capture those fun moments, which is a nice touch. A couple of things could be improved. There are no separate male and female changing areas, which felt quite uncomfortable and a bit surprising for a family-focused venue. Also, lockers cost £2 to use and the fee isn’t refunded, which felt a bit steep on top of admission. One frustration was with the medium slides (the green and red ones). We queued up with our 7-year-old, who was wearing a life jacket. The staff member managing the queue could see this, but didn’t mention that these slides weren’t suitable for non-swimmers or those in life jackets. Clearer signage would have saved us a good chunk of time and disappointment. Overall though, it’s a fantastic place with a lot to enjoy—we’ll definitely be back, especially once a few of these small things are improved.
Heych X — Google review
Me and the two kids went on Monday in October half term. We booked in advance and went for 10:00 entry. £75 for three and extra for a locker? Perhaps a little steep but seems the going rate for any attractions these days! The changing rooms were clean and there are loads of lockers - we booked in a single wristband in advance and a large yellow one was was plenty big enough for our stuff. We managed to take advantage of the quieter potion of the visit between 10 and 11:30 to get on all of the slides. Would say at this time, probably 5 to 10 minutes wait for them. Longest wait was for Master Blaster, but time was getting on by the time we decided to go on. Only thing to improve would probably be the brown spiral steps up to the yellow and blue thunder falls slides - notably rusty in places but can be avoided if watch your step. Didn't bother eating there so cannot comment on that. All in all great fun but we left after 2 and half hours as all the queues had increased substantially in length and didn't want to wait for any.

The Big One, a renowned steel roller coaster at Blackpool Pleasure Beach, has been thrilling visitors since 1994. Formerly known as the Pepsi Max, this iconic ride boasts a steep 65-degree first drop that sets the stage for an exhilarating experience. With intense twists and turns that generate up to 3.5gs of force, The Big One offers an adrenaline-pumping adventure.
The iconic roller coaster still going strong, as you reach the summit the view of Blackpool is fantastic for the few seconds before the twists and turns begin. Really fun and the time to queue is pretty much in line with typical theme park wait times.

It was good to be honest. I was scared for my life, very scary, especially It being my first roller coaster. The wind hitting your face is quite strong. The views were great :my eyes were closed most of the ride...After I got of, I loved the feeling despite everything.
Nana K — Google review
A ride I’ve always dreamed of going on since I was a kid and this August 2025 managed to do it twice! It really lives up to its name, it’s huge! I wasn’t too scared going up but it is quite high so if you’re nervous of heights or rollercoasters, be warned! It’s a very steep first drop too and if you’re at the back you will be dragged through that very quickly! Overall though the ride is amazing. You get great views of Blackpool on it too while wizzing along. It’s quite bumpy and rough but it’s an Arrow Dynamics coaster so it’s to be expected. The ride feels long enough and the wait was never more than 30 minutes for it. I especially love how you can almost always see the coaster from anywhere in Blackpool. Plus the coaster trains being painted Union Jacks is a lovely touch! Also bonus points to the Big Ones theme and wait music in the station. Absolutely unreal and really adds to the hype. It’s so good that I’ve got nostalgia listening to the theme now that I’m back home! Highly recommended!

My experience on The Big One at Blackpool Pleasure Beach was extremely disappointing and became the worst ride experience I've had. The ride itself appeared to be quite old and unstable, which was concerning considering the speed and height it reached. The cabin or seating arrangement seemed inadequate to handle such intense conditions. As I rode, I felt extremely uncomfortable and feared for my safety. It was a disheartening experience that truly ruined my day, leaving me with a negative impression. I strongly discourage anyone from attempting this ride based on my personal experience.
MàTTHeW — Google review
I went on this for a birthday suprise and I was very excited to go on it. When I got in the queue I was very scared and started getting butterflies in my stomach, when I get near the front I started to shiver and it was very scary. When I got on they checked if I was tight enough and I was, when we started going up I wasn't scared anymore and I thought the veiw was AMAZING and it got me distracted from the anxiousness and when I went down there was so much wind in my face and I was loving the ride and then we went along and then when we got to the finish it wasn't that scary at all. I would recommend this roller coaster to age 10+ and i definitely rate this a 5 star!

This coaster is running amazing in 2025. Surprisingly great air time sitting towards the back, amazing views and still loving the first drop. A must ride for all ages.
L E — Google review
This review is for those who like their coasters. I chickened out of riding it when I was a child. I’m a bit of a coaster nerd now with almost no fear of them and have been raring to go again. Finally did it on my recent visit and went on three times. Yes it’s getting old and is a bit bumpy in places and the compressions at the bottom of the dips can be brutal. I had heard the ride was tame after the first drop, not every moment is super thrilling, but the ride is still enjoyable. The first drop though…if the train hit a braking run at the base and returned to the station…. the ride would still be worth it. I sat on the back row in the left seat anticipating this would give me the most intense drop. Being so far behind the centre of the train, it would already be accelerating down before I crested the lift hill. I wasn’t wrong. I couldn’t really process the sensations as I was whipped over the top, but it was fast and intense and I felt genuine fear on a rollercoaster for the first time in years. Riding it in strong rain is definitely worth trying, yes it hurts, but it’s quite the experience. If you want to enjoy the views, sit right at the front which I managed to do just before it closed. You get a lot of time to admire them at the top of the lift hill as the middle of the train catches up. Also if you’re not a massive thrill seeker this will take the sting out of the tail of the drop The head chopper elements really do leave you doubting if you’re hands will still be attached if you leave them on the air. Maybe familiarity breeds contempt and the Big One is underrated these days, but I think it’s still a solid ride, with the first drop when seated at the back of the train being one of the most fantastic coaster experiences I’ve ever had. If you want to enjoy the views sit near the front. But for those who love it, sit at the back left!

Another spectacular Hot Ice Show. This performance easily compares to all the top shows I have seen in London and elsewhere. I was just sad that the arena was nearly empty. Lighting, effects and costumes are good, skaters are amazing, but… the most depressing music ever! This show used to be upbeat and family friendly, but not now. The male pole dancer up in the corner, who also is the same in the sexual bath routine and then the shadow of the female dancer, no not for families. The arena wasn’t even half full in late July.

Great ice skaters, choice of costumes, lights however....the music is depressing..not encouraging to clap constantly and enjoy the amazing show. I wouldn't say it's aimed at families. I used to work there for the summer about 20 years ago and enjoyed going every evening. Wow, that show is deeply engraved in my heart. After having a family and 2 kids was very keen to go back to Blackpool to show them the park and to complete a wonderful day we went to Hot Ice show at the end of the day....excited and full of joy until the music started....Sadly we left at the interval....I hope you look back to previous shows and find a better music...more engaging....also a pole dance in the corner not ideal...and shadow of a women dancing....definitely not aimed at families! Overall disappointed.....great ice skaters!

What a lovely area, went to the fair there, friendly people had a great evening

Nothing special there. Mostly used as a dog walking place. There are no toilets, an old but functional playground is still standing contrary to the rotten wooden obstacle course. Wouldn't have a picnic there as it is speckled with dog excrements.

Would be lovely to have a safe area to let my dog of there lead. Not all dogs are friendly there has been a few times my dog has been of lead and has gone to say hello to another dog but not all dogs are comfortable with this. She is very friendly and just wants to play but there is to many way she could easily escape onto very busy roads or get into a fight with a dog that isn't as friendly. It would be nice to have an area that is more enclosed and more controllable and a little safer. Parks great needs a clean.

Roller coaster
The Big Dipper is a wooden roller coaster that opened in 1923. It has five drops and multiple twists and turns. It is probably the scariest and roughest ride "you've ever been on". After experiencing it, some people experience a concussion and dazed feeling for about 30 minutes. However, overall it is well worth the experience.
Loved the big dipper. I visited the pleasure beach on the 15th of this month. Whilst in the queue I started to feel very faint and generally a little unwell. We told the guy at the area where you scan the tickets and he was just lovely. He let me stand to the side of the ride and kept checking to see if I was okay, he kept offering me water and even gave me a big mint which actually helped quite a bit. Just an overall lovely man. So thank you Michael for looking after me. I ended up going back and actually got on the ride a while later when I felt better and I loved it :D

he Big Dipper at Blackpool Pleasure Beach is an exceptional roller coaster that perfectly blends thrilling excitement with classic charm. As one of the park’s most iconic rides, it offers an exhilarating experience characterized by its powerful drops, swift turns, and smooth pacing. The ride manages to deliver a sustained adrenaline rush without feeling overly intense, making it accessible and enjoyable for a wide range of visitors—from dedicated coaster enthusiasts to families looking for a thrilling but approachable attraction. One of the standout features of the Big Dipper is its vintage wooden coaster design, which adds a unique nostalgic atmosphere that modern steel coasters often lack. The creaking sounds of the wooden track and the open-air structure provide a sense of history and authenticity that enhances the overall ride experience. The combination of classic aesthetics with well-maintained engineering makes this coaster a true gem. Moreover, the Big Dipper’s layout is thoughtfully designed, featuring a series of impressive drops and fast, sharp turns that keep riders engaged from start to finish. The airtime moments are particularly enjoyable, giving a wonderful sensation of weightlessness that roller coaster fans cherish. Despite its age, the ride remains remarkably smooth and well cared for, which is a testament to Blackpool Pleasure Beach’s dedication to maintaining their heritage attractions. Beyond the ride itself, the Big Dipper holds a special place in the heart of the park and its visitors. It evokes a sense of nostalgia and excitement that resonates across generations. Whether it’s a first-time visitor or a seasoned park-goer, the Big Dipper consistently delivers memorable moments and thrilling fun. Overall, it is undoubtedly one of the must-ride attractions at Blackpool Pleasure Beach and a highlight that truly captures the spirit and history of this beloved amusement park.

I am aware of the age but wow it is rough. Also I would consider this unsafe. On the first drop as we were going down I floated but not like some normal airtime as in my knees went past the lap bar, well I am not scared of rollercoasters I love them to pieces and I want to design them but that was crazy I had to pull myself down. Will not be riding this until a full refurbishment which probs won’t happen!

Blackpool Pleasure Beach is a renowned amusement park in Britain, spanning 42 acres and boasting a rich history dating back to 1896. The park offers something for everyone, from thrilling rides to family-friendly attractions. It's advisable to plan your visit in advance by booking tickets online, which not only saves time but also money. The beachfront area of Blackpool is a delightful experience, offering picturesque views and a refreshing sea breeze.
Review of the Theme Park. The theme park is quite big and well organised. Good and fast check in, with little queue. It’s usually very busy during public holidays and weekends. There a various activities that are suitable for children, while some are only suitable for older children and adults. It will make a decent day out for children, teens and adults. If you have a fast track ticket, you can jump the queue for most for the activities. Parking is available in the theme park and around the area. Parking outside is cheaper. Fast food and drinks are available all around the park as well. Toilets and storage is also available. Storage isn’t free.

Blackpool Beach is an absolute delight and a must-visit for anyone looking for a fantastic seaside experience! The beach front area is perfect for a leisurely walk, offering stunning views and a refreshing sea breeze. There's so much to do here! The pier is a wonderful spot for a stroll, and there's a vibrant atmosphere with plenty of activities to keep you entertained. The local funfair and theme park add an extra layer of excitement, making it a great destination for families and thrill-seekers alike. Foodies will love the numerous fish and chips shops scattered along the beachfront – a classic and delicious seaside treat that you simply can't miss. Parking is plentiful and convenient, making it easy to access all the attractions without any hassle. Overall, Blackpool Beach is a fantastic destination with something for everyone. Highly recommend for a fun-filled and memorable day out!

I went on the Launch Pad, the Big one 🎢, the Icon 🎢, the Infusion 🎢, the Revolution and some others.. Also, we had this bubble waffle 🧇 with scoops ice-cream 🍨.. I enjoyed the experience 😄😉!!! Do not miss out!!!

Park was clean and rides ok but why does it have to be on a mobile device for tickets. We went in a group and obviously some didn’t want to go on set rides or couldn’t due to height restrictions so it’s a hassle as the tickets are all on one phone and people want to cue at different rides stupid. Once you are in you’re in what’s the need to scan tickets over and over again. Plus the fact our other phone died and mine was nearly dead by the end of the day just give us a wrist band or make it easier.

A very good pleasure beach, a very poor resort. If you go expecting a park like Alton Towers or Thorpe Park then you will be thoroughly disappointed, but if you go looking for a typical British seaside pleasure beach with historical rides then you will find what you are looking for. Don't go expecting smooth wooden coasters, they are old and you will feel it, but that's part of the charm I suppose! Just pack the back pain cream for the following morning!

Roller coaster
ICON is a notable roller coaster at the amusement park, offering a buttery smooth ride that feels comfortable enough to sleep in. Unlike rocketship launch coasters, ICON gradually picks up speed and provides an exhilarating sense of rushing wind and smoke in the tunnel. The thrilling experience includes flying through tight curves and modern design that prevents excessive jostling. Despite its amazing features, it's observed that the ride often has empty seats despite long queues, but still offers an incredible experience with friendly staff.
One of the newer attractions in the park and similar to rides at Thorpe Park and Alton Towers. Really comfortable seats on the ride, plenty of twists and turns at break neck speeds. If you want to splash extra cash (£14 each) you opt for the spinning seats at the rear.
Christopher L — Google review
By far the best rollercoaster and pleasure beach and my all time number one! It’s a quick queue most days, and such a fun ride! It’s longer than you think too, helped by the double launch! I rode this 4 times I enjoyed Icon that much! The theme music is also absolutely amazing, so much so I’m listening to it from home!! Can’t recommend this ride enough!
Alex W — Google review
Icon is the newest and best rollercoaster in the park. Manufactured by Mack rides it is smooth with good forces and airtime. It has an okay launch and a long layout. Would recommend riding multiple times in the front and the back. Waiting a few cycles for the front row is almost always worth it
Ben S — Google review
Enjoyed this ride it really is good, went to the pleasure beach with my daughter as she is finally tall enough for the big rides. We both enjoyed this ride and have to say one of my all time favourite rides at the pleasure beach. Que can be long so id suggest buying the fast pass as these people were usually on within a few minutes upto maybe 8 minutes and we waited over an hour for some rides
Bryan V — Google review
ICON at Blackpool Pleasure Beach offers a thrilling experience with its impressive launch system and dynamic track layout. The ride delivers a good level of excitement, particularly during the initial acceleration and subsequent twists. However, the overall duration of the ride feels somewhat brief, and the elements could benefit from greater diversity to enhance the overall impact. Additionally, the queue times can be quite lengthy during peak periods, which may detract from the visitor experience. While ICON is a commendable addition to the park, it does not fully meet the expectations set by its reputation.

A different ride altogether when ridden at night, but still amazing in the day. Not the most forceful launches, but enough power to thrill you. Nickelodeon Streak is a classic wooden roller coaster at Blackpool Pleasure Beach. Originally built in 1933, it was rethemed to fit Nickelodeon Land. The ride is family-friendly and less intense than other coasters in the park, making it suitable for children and families. With a top speed of 35mph, it offers an exciting experience with comfortable seating. However, the queue can get long during peak seasons due to only one train operating.
Very smooth and well maintained family rollercoaster. The lift hill is actually original to the former Velvet Coaster, meaning that it's an old wooden ride but it's very enjoyable and always puts a smile on your face. Love the airtime hills at the end and really like it's bright orange paint job.
Daniel B — Google review
Me and my friend tried the first roller coaster, the seats are small but not really comfortable or bad. It is so excited, fast and strong forces (especially Turing and going down, didn’t thought it’s that fast) But I don’t think this is for younger children or older adults that scares of coaster. I was very dizzy, feels like I’ve got heart attack or coma. Don’t try for your first roller coaster experience.
EarthPeople — Google review
Idk why people are saying it’s smooth… ITS NOT! I sat in the back and it was very rough. It was more enjoyable than infusion though. This is the only ride I’ve been on where I didn’t want airtime. The seats were very comfy though.

I loved the scenary of this ride, Brang back my childhood memories, and full of nostalgia. Beautiful addition to this theme park, and beautiful coaster
Naiha A — Google review
Rough, that’s pretty much all I can say. Except that the airtime takes ‘air’ a bit too literally
Isaac S — Google review
Surprisingly fun little family coaster. The lap-bars barely hold you in, making the aggressive airtime hills and the general roughness of the ride even more fun. Also, as with the other Pleasure Beach woodies, you are basically sitting on a sofa.

The restaurant is known for its good quality food and quick service, making it a convenient choice for park visitors.
Cannot understand the bad reviews must of had new management or new staff as todays lunch was the best food I’ve ever had at a theme park. I ordered the tortilla salad bowl, it was huge filled with fresh salad, rice, beans, chicken, salsa, sour cream and guacamole. Refreshing and delicious. My boyfriend had the sizzling fajitas and said it was the best he’s tasted. Considering only one lady waitress and what looked to be one chef (who politely thanked me on the way out) I was impressed how quite we were served. Quiet weekday, 3pm. This will always be the place to eat whenever we come to BPB

Went on a quiet day. Four of our meals arrived after 20 minutes but the other two meals never arrived, even though they were the same menu items. We wasted an hour waiting for them, and eventually gave up and got a refund. The kitchen staff clearly weren't busy and didn't know the menu (one claimed they didn't know how to make a chicken burrito, and had to be corrected by another staff member). One of the kitchen staff was rude and quickly blamed other members of staff when we asked for a refund. The food that did arrive was not great and certainly not worth the price. Avoid if you value your time.
David J — Google review
AVOID!! Placed our order through the app provided. Everyone else who was with us received their food and drinks but ours never came. We went in to speak to the staff and they claimed our order hadn’t gone through. So I showed them the money had come out of my bank account on my online banking. They said “it will just bounce back in” and were REALLY rude and hostile. They said that we had to re-order and re-pay for our order. So feeling like we had no other option we paid AGAIN for our order. The money hasn’t “bounced back in” so we have now paid double what we should have.
Katie B — Google review
The service was awful. We were waiting ages to be seated and when someone finally came to sit us, they went to speak to their supervisor and didn’t return for ages - it wasn’t even busy at this point. We were told there would be a 15 min wait on food which was okay but when we had all decided they had very few items available as we were vegetarian and they had no veggie chilli left (most veggie options were therefore unavailable). They didn’t even have any butter. Food for one member of the group arrived after we had all finished despite us chasing it up several times only for the servers to say they’ll check and never to return. My garlic bread was slightly cold. After asking several people failing to return we finally got someone who came back and refunded the late meal. It is no surprise they ask you to pay before you get the food because the price, service and quality was low. £9.50 for a plain jacket potato and some lettuce?!
Hannah R — Google review
Got sat down nobody attended to us for ages. When our food order was finally taken I asked to keep 1 menu card, not even a minute later that gets snatched off me. Tried to order more drinks and it's as if you're invisible. Standing for at least 10 minutes at a time waiting for someone to even look your way. Waited a long time for food and people who came after us got their food first. When we went to get more drinks the food arrived but to what avail When it was getting cold on the table as we were waiting at the bar to get just a drink order.
Wiktoria S — Google review

Wallace & Gromit's Thrill-O-Matic is a popular ride that replaced the Gold Mine in 2013 after a significant refurbishment. It offers an immersive experience for fans of the Wallace and Gromit films, featuring detailed reproductions of famous scenes from the movies. The ride is well-loved by kids and adults alike, with many visitors appreciating the attention to detail and intricate moving parts throughout.
My kids loved this ride, and I thought it was well done. It lasts quite long it felt like a couple minutes. You basically stroll through very good reproductions of famous scenes from all the Wallace and gromit films. There's lots of neat touches, keep an eye out for the love putting on their sunglasses when the rocket takes off. Kids liked it so much we went on it twice. The shop afterwards is also very good if you're fan. Highly recommended.

Fantastic ride. Have been on a few times, but after going on it yesterday, I really feel I should write a review. It's a great reproduction of the five films and the detailing is fantastic! The start is great, you delve down into the garage and find the orange rocketship, then carry on through the rest of the film. I love the scene from A close shave, with the bike/lorry preston, Wallace and gromit chase. Definitely worth a visit.

River Caves is a classic dark ride at Pleasure Beach that takes you through scenes from around the world, including The Aztecs, Egyptians, and dinosaurs. It's one of the oldest rides at the park and offers a nostalgic and exciting experience with tranquil atmosphere and music. While there's a lot to take in with various scenes and figures, it provides a gentle journey through the caves with a small drop at the end for an added thrill.
Hopefully not too long before we get to experience this incredible ride once again! Currently undergoing a reimagining they say.

This was pretty poor really, it's really dated, all the figures are in poor condition, and they look like they're from the 70s but in a bad way. The Chinese figures in particular are really poor, it's just a gentle ride, whilst you hear some pre recorded commentary. You shouldn't get wet from this ride. Definitely skip this one.
Mister E — Google review
Very interesting ride. There's alot to take in with the various scenes and figures. It was a bit of a laugh and we enjoyed it. Only problem is we got stuck at the bottom of the big hill and needed to wait for a while to be pulled up. Apart from that great ride with a little drop at the end to make sure your get wet.
Georgina R — Google review
A vintage and classic ride that takes riders through scenes to see: China, Dinosaurs, The Blue Grotto and ancient Egypt. Although the ride is fairly charming and provides a relaxing atmosphere through a historic attraction, I feel that a little bit of a spruce up here and there would greatly improve the attraction. Things like fixing some of the paintwork and scenery in the Egyptian scene would make the ride a bit more up-to-date and fresher.
Chris C — Google review
Just the smell on this ride takes me back to being a child, it's not unpleasant, just distinctive. It is a bit dated now but judging by the queue that still builds up for it it's still popular. I thought the drop at the end was about 200 foot when I was little, disappointed it's not really. 😂

What arrived was a small piece of fried fish 2 cm wide by 10cm long . (About as long as your little finger) . Which was sat on some mashed peas and next to 6 chips !! A total rip off ! . I spoke to the staff who said they will pass on my remarks to the chef ! 🤦‍♂️ Just to you and idea of the portion size rip off The children’s meals were significantly bigger than the 4 Adult meals . A complete waste of money . And shocking behaviour from a local business .
