The Great Synagogue, located in Pilsen, Czech Republic, is a significant historical monument and the largest synagogue in the country. Built in 1893, it showcases a blend of Moorish-Romanesque architectural styles and stands as the second largest synagogue in Europe and third largest globally. The original plan by Viennese architect Max Fleischer included two impressive 65-meter high towers but was not fully realized due to local preferences.
Beautifully restored and atmospheric. While we were there, they had a very emotive exhibit on photos from Ukraine. The computer information booths on the second floor are very worth spending some time browsing as they have an extensive collection of photos from the restorations (before and after). There's a small souvenir shop at the back.
Natalya M — Google review
The Great Synagogue in Pilsen is truly massive and incredibly impressive. Standing inside, you can feel the weight of history and the beauty of its architecture. I highly recommend also taking time to read the information about the women in the building at the back.
Asli Z — Google review
This is a true architectural masterpiece, striking in its grandeur and exquisite details. This synagogue is the third largest in Europe, and the second in the Czech Republic after Prague, and its scale immediately arouses admiration! I am also impressed by the quality of the restoration: the red brick facade has retained its historical expressiveness, the interior has been restored with respect for the original design - the paintings, decorative elements and the organ shine again in all their glory! The atmosphere inside is calm and solemn, even if you are not a religious person, this place makes a deep impression if you are a lover of architecture! The building is also used for concerts.
Дмитро — Google review
Located in the center of the city, open conveniently open for the public after paying hefty entrance fee. Women are missing from the story.
Andrea P — Google review
Breathtaking... and sad. What a wonderful and colourful civilization almost destroyed by the Germans. Am Israel Chai!
Tamir S — Google review
The synagogue is an interesting visit. The structure is impressively large and can host many worshippers on the ground floor and the balcony. The temple is very beautifully decorated with wood and plaster finishing and many religious ornaments. Some walls have amazing stained-glass windows. There was a nice photography exhibition when we were there as well.
Siegfried B — Google review
Love the architecture. Seems smaller inside but that's because of the side galleries.

Beautiful piece of history, and for a mere small fee, one can immerse themselves in this breathtaking place. Plzeň is not littered with sights left right and centre, so it’s a must on one’s journey to the city

2Pilsner Urquell Brewery

Brewery
Pilsner Urquell Brewery, established in 1842, is a glass-fronted brewery known for producing the first-ever blond lager. The brewery offers guided tours that take visitors through an interactive exposition showcasing both historical and modern brewing operations. The tour concludes with a tasting of non-filtered Pilsner Urquell beer in the brewery's cellars.
The Brewery tour was a highlight of our day- visit in the city, offering a fascinating behind-the-scenes look at the beer-making process. The guided tour took us through the various stages, from the raw materials to the cellars where the beer is stored and aged. While the tour guide moved at a brisk pace, we still managed to learn a great deal about the history and production methods of this renowned brewery. The undoubted highlight was the opportunity to sample the brewery's unfiltered, freshly-brewed beer in the chilly cellar. The rich, flavorful taste was a revelation, and a testament to the skill and passion of the brewers. Despite the tour not lingering on every detail, the overall experience was engaging and informative, providing a deeper appreciation for the craft of beer-making. This tour is a must-do for any beer enthusiast visiting the area. Remember to book in advance as not too frequent guide in a day.
Antony T — Google review
Awesome tour and worth making the trip to pilsen for this alone. Tl/dr on questions I had coming here - beer they give you is 0.3l (aka small) which is good (I was worried it was a large). Time in cellars is last 20 or so minutes. It does get to be chilly but I probably overdressed. Definitely need to buy tickets in advance as the tickets sell out/are popular Got to see traditional and modern brewing, bottling, maturation, and ice (which i havent seen elsewhere but makes sense from pre refrigeration days). Super cool Great tour guide and loved seeing both the modern and history behind the brewery. Excellent tour - one of best I've seen from any alcohol producer
Vincent M — Google review
Me and my friends loved the experience! Not gonna publish more pictures so you get interested in coming ;). We had an amazing guide which made the experience even 10x better. We payed 16€ and it was really worth it. Highly recommend
Joana — Google review
I really enjoyed being in the brewery! Had an english tour that we booked a few weeks in advance, usually it is sold out at the spot (few places were left from the czech tour). The guide was really kind and friendly, she explained the history of the brewery and the beer making process. We visited the main building, the brewery and the underground tunnel as well. It was around 2 hours long. In the tunnel we tried the fresh Pilsner Urquell from the tank. It was an amazing experience all together! After the tour outside of the brewery you can drink and eat from the bar. I highly recommend this place if you are a beer fan like me.
Laura P — Google review
What an unexpected joy it was to visit this brewery. The history, the brewing processes, the maze of underground tunnels, the informative, attentive and obliging guides (Thankyou Karin!). Even if you don't drink beer (heaven forbid!) you will enjoy exploring this brilliant Czech institution. Please stop at the onsite restaurant, not only is the food outstanding but is delivered to your table with style by very pleasant wait staff.
Ray K — Google review
It is an interesting place, but I really recommend buying the tickets in advance. You can only enter the factory through a guided tour. If you don't know the language, download before going. I had issues with the app and couldn't find the english tour.
Mike P — Google review
It was a good experience to see how they produce this delicious beer. It was like a journey into PilsnerUrquell history. We bought our tickets from online. The tour started right on time. Our tour guide explained every little detail cleary. She was very smiling. At the end of the tour, we taste beer from barrel. It was delicious. Thank you for everything!
Aslı Ş — Google review
You MUST do this tour if you are even remotely in the Pilsen area. I'd argue that it is worth a trip from Prague solely to come visit. I'm going to preface this by saying - I do not like beer. However, I found the tour educational and interesting. The tour guide was excellent. It was a decently large group (sold out in fact) but I didn't have any difficulty hearing or understanding her. (I did the English Tour). It was fascinating to learn not only about the history of Pilsner-Urquell but also Pilsen itself. During the tour you will receive a nice sized sample of unfiltered beer straight from the barrel. It was the best beer I have ever tasted in my life. If all beer tasted like that - I'd be a beer drinker! This was one of the most affordable admissions I paid and it was probably my favorite tour. Definitely recommend. I booked ahead by a few days. I went during the Liberation festivities so I was glad I booked online - the tour sold out. I also received a coupon for a free beer at a local pub or the brewery pub.

The Brewery Museum, located in a former medieval malt house in the center of Pilsen, Czech Republic, offers an immersive experience into the history and production of beer. Visitors can explore models of old breweries, a modern-day bottler, and even participate in beer tastings. The museum showcases the legendary Pilsner Beer production and features a historic Pilsen-style pub with equipment used for beer production from ages ago. Additionally, there is an engaging attic space for kids to enjoy interactive activities.
A great stop for beer lovers and history buffs alike! The Pilsen Brewery Museum offers a fascinating look at the origins of pilsner beer and how it’s evolved over the centuries. The exhibits are well laid out with lots of artifacts, old brewing equipment, and interactive displays. It’s not a huge museum, but it’s packed with interesting info and charm. You even get a small beer with your ticket—nice touch! Definitely worth a visit before or after touring the Pilsner Urquell brewery.
Todd R — Google review
Honestly, my back and knees hurt from so much walking, so not the best attitude. I also thought that maybe there be something cool given it's Halloween, but no. Aside from that, the museum is self guided, and there's some interactive things. However, it doesn't say you can't touch sooo go for it! They give you a beer 🍺 at the end in the Beer Garden but don't expect the best service. The price 150 Czech Korona 🇨🇿 so for about 6 dollars, you get what you pay for. It's a 3 story walk but at least you don't pay for the bathroom
Travelling Z — Google review
Great tour that takes you underground for about a 900 meter walk. See and learn about the history of Pilsen and the cellars below ground as you make your way through. Free beer at the end makes a nice way to end it too! Definitely recommend this tour. Easy walk but you'll have to duck more than once as there are a few spots that get a bit low. Thankfully the tour provides hardhats to wear, because they are needed, lol!
Philip S — Google review
Great museum with loads of interesting artifacts and images relating to the local brewing of beer. Worth getting a combined ticket and going on the underground tour which starts in the museum building. Great way to spend a couple of hours in Pilsen.
Geoff P — Google review
It was an interesting and fascinating tour learning the culture and history of Beer production in Czech and where the Pilsner beer originated. It’s amazing to learn the traditional brewing techniques and how this community integrated their homes to this underground cellar. There are several language options for the tour where you can select from so it is very convenient. They also provided proper PPEs before entering the cellars. Another amazing treat is the free Pilsner beer from the restaurant just above the museum. This is truly an unforgettable experience.
Shella — Google review
This is an incredible place, here you can see and learn about the beer culture in the Czech Republic and its history, very interesting and exciting. The museum has many exhibits from different times. There is also a shop and a pub nearby. In the shop you can buy various souvenirs, as well as curiosities from around the world beer from all over the Czech Republic. I also recommend that after the museum you immediately visit the tourist excursion to the cellar of the brewers. You can buy tickets in the store. The tour is in 3 native languages: 1 German 2 Czech 3 English.
Maxim P — Google review
Great tour at the brewery - complete with a sampling of their fresh, unfiltered, unpasteurized pilsner! We bought tickets at the museum and then walked 10 mins to the brewery. I think you can also buy tickets at the brewery and save yourself the walk. Definitely worth stopping here.
Natalya N — Google review
It’s a nice place to know the brewery history, maybe less spectacular than Pilsner tour, but still worth checking. You get a small beer in price of the ticket and they have a nice shop. Some souvenirs may be cheaper in Pilsner brewery shop though

The Cathedral of St. Bartholomew, a Gothic masterpiece located on Republic Square, is a prominent feature in the historical center of Pilsen. Inside, visitors can admire the renowned Pilsen Madonna on the main altar, representing Czech Gothic art. Outside the cathedral, a small metal-forged angel is believed to make wishes come true with a touch. The cathedral's tower offers stunning views of the surrounding region and holds the distinction of being the tallest church tower in the Czech Republic.
It is stunning gothic cathedral as a central point of the main square. You should not and can not miss to visit it. It is even more beautiful inside then outside. Church tower is 103 meters high, making it the tallest one in Czech Republic. We did not manage to experience the view from the tower as we visited pretty late in the day so it was closed. Definitely recommend to stoo by.

The Cathedral of St. Bartholomew in Pilsen is a stunning example of Gothic architecture. Located in the main square, it features the tallest church tower in the Czech Republic. It’s a must-visit for anyone exploring Pilsen.

We visited this church this past weekend while visiting the Pilsen Christmas Markets. A beautiful cathedral in the center of the Pilsen Square. Recently renovated over the past few years. We did not go up to the bell tower, but the views from the top must be amazing.

Very beautiful and well worth a visit. Plenty of parking outside. Remember to touch the the angel outside on the gate at the back of the cathedral.

Saw the outside since there was a wedding taking place. Beautiful outside. In the court yard next to it was a band playing. Beautiful exterior. I would like to mention There are some homeless hanging about in the small corners around the church

The St. Bartholomew's Cathedral in Pilsen is a Gothic cathedral from the late 13th century, adorned with Renaissance paintings and boasting the tallest church tower in the Czech Republic. It is centrally located on the main square and is beautiful both on the outside and inside. For those without a fear of heights, you can ascend the tower during the day, where you'll be treated to a wonderful view over the entire city of Pilsen.

History Museums
The Patton Memorial Pilsen is a military history museum that delves into the liberation of Pilsen during World War II. Despite its small size, the museum effectively chronicles the city's tumultuous journey through the mid-20th century and beyond, particularly highlighting its distinction as the most easterly city liberated by General Patton during his European campaign. Visitors can explore period equipment, photos, and even unexpected artifacts like an unopened can of Coca Cola from a ration pack.
The museum itself is small and I I think the place is more suitable for history buffs. But in general, you can also come to see the exhibition and read information about them. You can also buy interesting souvenirs Entrance for a student costs 70 CZK
Ivan A — Google review
Small but worthwhile stop when you're in Pilsen. Takes maybe an hour to fully if you watch the film and read everything. Short walk away from St Bartholomew's. Very easy to find.
Philip S — Google review
Plzen was liberated by the Americans in 1945. The museum was set up based on collection of military enthusiasts. It is difficult to get the picture as there are long descriptions of fights in certain villages. The main question how and why the American Army accidentally disappeared from Plzen is not addressed. The museum shop sells very strange items including body mist.
Andrea P — Google review
This small museum is an excellent reminder of the sacrifices made by the Czech people and their American liberators at the end of the Second World War. The story is told in great detail in 20 panels in Czech and English, illustrated with uniforms and artifacts from the time. I found it very readable. The names of many of the soldiers who gave their lives are recorded in the details of separate incidents. An unmissable and unforgettable experience.
Alan H — Google review
Not very big, but a lot of really interesting period artifacts and explanations in both Czech and English on a very important and under-studied moment in history. Must see if in Plzeň. As of Aug 2025, admission for adults was only 100 Kn ea.

The Puppet Museum, situated on the Square of the Republic, offers a fascinating insight into the rich history of puppetry in Pilsen. It showcases the evolution of this art form from roving puppeteers to the establishment of a permanent stage at its location in the 1800s. The museum provides an immersive experience with detailed exhibits and audio guides, allowing visitors to delve into Czech puppetry's full history and even play with a wide range of puppets.
Great experience for kids & for adults who want to revive the childhood spirit & enjoy life
Gidi I — Google review
I visited the place to learn something new about history of puppet art. The place is full of text and audio guides at the stages. So if you are interested in the topic and want to go through everything, expect to spend few the hours at the place. The last floor is whole dedicated for playing with the puppets. Because of that, I would say that the place will be most interesting for families with children, or with someone with good imagination to come up with some scene idea and play it with someone else. The guy that was guiding the top floor showed me and my friend how to hold and work with different types of puppets, even some that I had never seen before. Great new experience for me!

Honestly surprised by the quality of the global experience. For adults it's fun, for your kids it would be amazing place. Bring them here blinded you won't regret. Interesting and interactive experiences on physics. It can last half a day if you take your time and enjoy. Noy to crowded on Sunday

Plan to be full day here, with children or not. Refresh your school physic course, make your small grey cells work intensively. Physical experiments, mental puzzles, entertainments - heaven for science enthusiasts, just take your time to jump between the booths. Demonstration can be improved: less talk (in Czech), more action. However still impressive! Don’t forget about lunch, you can easily lose your sense of hunger. Food is canteen is much better than typically in this kind of places. Strong 5 of 5!

The Museum of West Bohemia in Pilsen, Czech Republic, is a treasure trove for history and art enthusiasts. Housed in a beautiful historical building, this museum showcases the region's rich cultural heritage through an extensive collection spanning from prehistoric times to the present day.
What a beautiful, large museum! It offers a fascinating look at the history and culture of the region. Very informative, educational, and occasionally entertaining. You can spend hours wandering around. It’s clean, well-organized, and spacious. Suitable for both young and old, it’s definitely worthy of 5 stars!

Located in the historical center a fantastic museum built by the most interesting architects in the spirit of making the new Czech identity. The museum shop is only with books in Czech and some unimaginative souvenirs.

My son Sean and I visited the museum yesterday to see the armory. As wonderful as the armory was, my son is a huge student of history, the best part was the older gentleman that worked in the exhibit. Even though his English was extremely limited, as is our Czech, he was able to convey so much to us that it made the visit forever memorable. Thank you good sir for bringing history alive for us and I wish we had gotten your name.
Michael H — Google review
This place is stunning. We came to Pilsen for the beer and loved so much more. This museum, with its immaculate collection, was an absolute highlight. Clearly loved by those running the place. Highly recommended.
Wade H — Google review
Museum in which a lot of the western bohemian history is well documented, lots of regional exhibits and explanations on archeological digging. Again if you're not fluent in Czech you only get a list in a foreign language that gives the names of the exhibits in the vitrines. Also the geology of the region is briefly explained in a rather small room. Liked the glassware, lock and "exotic" exhibition best. You can buy entrance allowances per level of the museum with individual pricing.
David M — Google review
A fantastic collection covering archeology, history, and art. The arsenal is especially impressive. You could see how much pride and care goes into the museum.
Mike A — Google review
Excellent exhibition of prehistoric, medieval and 1800s history of Pilsen and surroundings. We went for the standard/permanent exhibitions on the second floor. Our kids (3, 6 and 7) liked it a lot. All rooms are well-lit, and you can watch all exposed items clearly. We especially liked the stone-age and bronze-age sections, but also the Renaissance part had several surprises, like a Guttenberg book press, or several guns and fine arts pieces, such as pharmacist phioles.

DinoPark Plzeň is a dinosaur-themed amusement park that features animatronics, a 3D cinema, and a playground suitable for young children. It provides an excellent experience with great Dinos and cool 3D films. The prices are reasonable compared to the services provided. Despite its small size, it offers fun activities for kids in a safe environment among the trees even during hot weather. However, the food could be better and visitors may consider eating elsewhere.
Not a bad park, it will be just right for children under 10, there are enough shops with souvenirs and snacks. But for parents there is nothing special :(

Not the biggest but a nice Dino Park in Pilzen with cool Dinos and nice employees. 3D Film is cool. Prices are ok and food too. Next time we will book the Zoo too.

I am giving it 5 stars because it does what it says on the box - Dino park with a playground at a reasonable price. Would I drive all the way to Pilsen just to visit this place. No. Maybe worth it if you combine it with a trip to the zoo.

Plzeň Zoo is a must-visit destination for animal lovers, offering the chance to see a diverse range of species in a beautiful setting. The zoo is home to 1300 animals, including rhinos, cheetahs, hippos, and many more. It's known for its breeding program and conservation efforts, particularly for endangered species like the maneless zebra.
This is an amazing zoo. I’ve never seen a white kangaroo before. So many lions. It’s huge, we spent almost 4,5 hours there. Would recommend to use the ticket machines, very easy to use and faster than the cash desks.

The Pilsen Zoo is one of the best in the Czech Republic. The territory is very large, well-maintained, and green — perfect for walks. The collection of animals, reptiles, insects, and plants is impressive and diverse, making it interesting for both adults and children. There are playgrounds, convenient infrastructure, cafés, and small shops. A great place for a family day out.
Дмитро — Google review
Great non crowed zoo. The place was clean and lots of things to do. It was my first time at any zoo that I have seen lions ans bears up close and active. They also have a great Dinosaur park, you have to pay extra but overall very affordable.
Daniel P — Google review
Despite the rain, this zoo visit was absolutely worth it! The living and maintenance conditions for the animals’ welfare are a huge plus. The zoo is spacious, clean, and well-organized for both visitors and animals. Besides admiring various animals, it’s also very informative and educational. There are plenty of toilets and resting spots to enjoy a snack. It’s a very large zoo, and you’ll need almost half a day to see everything. I couldn’t see it all, but that just invited me to come back again. On all points, a well-deserved 5 stars!

Very good experience overall. The Dino park is very childish and small and is only good for children but it is very expensive. Don't waste your money for the Dino park. The zoo is beautiful and has lots of snack bars around. Quite big and we needed about 5 hours plus as there are many many animals to admire. The lemurs are the best as they roam freely around you. That alone got our money back which is very fun! The birds look the most unhealthy in the zoo as the cages have been built too low. The birds are not able to fly at all. The leopard mother is very fierce but her 2 cubs are extremely adorable. Recommended to go if you are in that area!

Exploring the Historic Underground of Plzen is like stepping back in time to the medieval era. This fascinating network of vaulted tunnels, wells, and storehouses stretches an impressive 20 kilometers beneath the city, making it one of the largest underground systems in the Czech Republic. The guided tour covers approximately 800 meters through a maze of corridors and cellars that reveal how life was lived centuries ago.
It was a really great experience for us. 60 minutes of an exciting story about the underground passages under Pilsen and their important significance. A young man explained everything to us in detail in our native language. Afterwards there is a sales room with countless delicious beers. When buying the tickets there was even a reference to discounts for schoolchildren and students. Thank you very much 🙏
René K — Google review
Very unique experience! If in Pilsen, I definitely recommend booking a tour. Our guide was excellent. My husband and I enjoyed learning about the history of Pilsen during the tour as well. We drove from our hotel at Chateau Zbiroh and did the English Tour at 1:00 followed by the Pilsner Urquell Brewery Tour around 2:45. The timing worked out well for both and it was a nice, easy day trip!
Sara B — Google review
Cool underground tour. Wasn't as cold as I worried it might be. Interesting to see just a fraction of their massive underground network and how much water/wells exist here. Makes sense as the birthplace of pilsener to have tons of high quality water. Grateful to have the hard hat as I smacked my head on the ceiling multiple times when I wasn't paying attention to where the height dipped down. Drink ticket they give you can be redeemed at restaurant attached to museum which is both convenient and good as they are one of two places in pilsen that offer the unfiltered beer.

The place is interesting. There is a pleasant coolness in the dungeon and in hot weather this place is what you need. I would recommend buying tickets in advance, as this guarantees you getting on the tour at the time you choose and you will also have to show the online ticket at the box office so that you can physically print, and only after that you can go on an excursion and the guide accepts only physical tickets

Recently, there was a concert featuring Movie Music that captivated the audience with its stunning performance by talented musicians. The conductor's passion for his craft was evident and added to the overall enjoyment. Furthermore, the building itself is aesthetically pleasing. During intermission, patrons were delighted to find a well-staffed bar area with skilled bartenders.
So glad to see the place filled with life again! The new operator introduced some wonderful changes, for instance breakfast - nice and delicious, surprise, surprise… The service is welcoming and quick, taste of coffee is a compliment. Great!

We attended the screening of Bohemian Rhapsody. The size of the room is intimate but well laid out with relatively comfortable seats. Unlike the concert area, the seating was not flat so the field of view was excellent. The size of the screen was reasonable and the sound system was excellent. Brummel House is a stunning example of pre-war Jewish architecture, showcasing a well-preserved interior with original furniture and a huge fireplace. The tour offers an insightful 45-minute exploration led by knowledgeable guides, providing a glimpse into the villa's history and architectural significance. As the only privately-owned space in Pilsen, it stands out for its unique charm and lack of unnecessary decorative elements, reflecting the distinctive style of Adolf Loos.
The tour through the interior of the apartment designed by Alfred Loos is really interesting. You can see all the details, we had a tour in English which was very useful.

The Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary is a historic gem nestled within Pilsen's old town. Part of the Franciscan Monastery, this Gothic-style church dates back to the 13th and 14th centuries, making it one of the city's oldest structures. The monastery and church exude a religious atmosphere that invites modesty, with its Baroque altar adding to its allure.
It is one of the oldest churches in the city. Also it is part of Franciscan monastery. It is from Gothic period. The entrance to the church from the street is gated but was opened when we were there. There pathed way between two walls before you enter the church. Inside is more interesting and really beautiful. Recommend to visit.

The monastery and church were built at the end of the 13th century ., was once connected to the city wall and, despite severe destruction during the Hussite Wars and the Thirty Years' War, remained essentially in its early Gothic form. The Slovany Swimming Pool has recently undergone extensive renovations, resulting in a completely revamped and modernized facility. From the entrance to the changing rooms, showers, and steam sauna, everything is now brand new. With an affordable entrance fee of 85 CZK for 1.5 hours (with options for longer durations), it proves to be a delightful place to visit, particularly on hot summer days.
Nice pool decently reconstructed. Pool for kids, 50m indoor and outdoor pool.

The pool has been recently renovated and the whole area from entrance to changing rooms, showers and steam sauna is completely new. Entrance is very cheap (85 CZK for 1.5 hours, they also have options for 3 hours or the whole day) and it's a pleasant place to be especially on a hot summer day. You get access to both indoor and outdoor pool, whirlpool, relaxation pool with warm water and massage streams/bubbles, also wild river and a toboggan, plus the steam sauna. They really did a great job with the renovation and finally the place is great again, it used to be quite worn out and old, now it's really nice.
Mark S — Google review
Lovely spacious hall with Olympic sized pool, not full on a Sunday, with no-nonsense massaging whirlpools alongside. Sauna is within premises but I did not manage. Cheap at 85czk per 1.5 hr. Great for both fitness and relaxation as well as families with kids. The change rooms are mixed and lockers work with the issued bands so no locks necessary. Reception sells swimsuits, caps and goggles but no towels. Will be back!
Adela S — Google review
Beilliant pool to spend a few hours on a hot day. Could pick 1.5 or 3 hrs ticket; shorter one cost 85 CZK. Indoors there are a couple of jacuzzis and a warm pool in addition to the 50m big pool; outside a waterslide and a freezing cold 50m pool 😝 Could swim in normal swimwear (board shorts), no mankini / speedo needed!
Matti D — Google review
I only visit this swimming pool for swimming and I am always satisfied. Water temperature is comfortable, there's always sufficient space in the hobby swimming tracks. Be prepared for the 100 crowns (Yes have the note ready 😀) deposit for the locker, otherwise you'll get some unpleasant looks at the desk. Personnel is a bit old-schoo which makes the experience authentic.

Generally not recommended; the facility is extremely cold (in winter) - basically unheated, and apparently very hot in summer. There are no refreshments of any kind allowed in the seating area; the voucher for 2e/adult is only useable in the restaurant/cafe upstairs of the karting arena. The food was tasteless, expensive and made both children ill. The play facilities for under 3s is a plastic tub of broken toys. The climbing frame is very sizeable but the only way down from the upper 3 floors is via a single tube slide that twists 3 full turns over a 10m drop. The kids refused to use it more than once. I would not recommend travelling from the Bayerische Wald (40km) to visit this even if the weather is too cold to play outside; despite the heavy advertising around the resorts.
