Heritage museum
Local history museum
World of Country Life is an indoor/outdoor park that offers a variety of attractions for visitors. The farming museum provides an interesting look into agricultural history, while vintage vehicles and old shops showcase the past. Visitors can also interact with animals, including feeding goats and enjoying cuddles with various creatures. The deer train and birds of prey flying show are particularly exciting experiences for all ages.
Highly recommend this place, we were staying in Sandy Bay right next door so was very convenient too. We visited with a almost 2 year old and a 5 year old and there were lots to do for them!. The staff on arrival were very pleasant and friendly, and all around the park too. The Deer train was great and was very fun feeding the deers. the Hawkridge Bird show was great and the ladies running it were fantastic, very friendly and had a chat with us at the end. my husband paid to hold an Eagle and my daughter held an Owl. well worth the money was a great experience to do. they were beautiful birds! the food in the cafe was excellent and fair priced. my daughter did the small animal handling with the rabbits and guinea pigs. staff were friendly and were fair with everyone who wanted to have a hold. The museums were great and really interesting and the soft play areas were clean. if you are looking for a day out with the kids, this is the place to go. :)
Sarah — Google review
Such a brilliant place. My partner and I came here with my sister, brother in law, niece and nephew on a sunny Saturday in June and I think we had as much fun as the kids! A great balance of museum (although you feel old when you see a bedroom from the '80s in a museum, haha), play areas, animals, fun and education. The staff were absolutely brilliant, so fun, engaging, and enthusiastic, always happy to help and chat, especially one larger than life member of staff called Nick. Plenty of play areas, inside and out, the kids loved them. Timed events - there's always something going on and time went so quickly. Animal handling, ferret racing, bottle feeding lambs, walking a goat, bird of prey display. Plenty of hand washing facilities. The animals look well looked after and you can feed most of them with the free animal feed they give you at the entrance. We didn't book in advance online but didn't have to wait long in the queue to get in. We took our own packed lunch, and left it in the car and were allowed out to get it. Plenty of benches to eat it on. Free water available to refill drinks, but we did also buy soft drinks there. We bought 6 ice creams at £16 which i thought was quite reasonable compared to some places I've been. Free onsite parking with plenty of space. Definitely worth paying an extra £2.50 to go on the deer train, that was the highlight of our day. What a wonderful place. Kids and adults had a great day out.
Tara S — Google review
Such an amazing place to visit. Has to be one of our favourite attractions around - so much to do and see. All the events are fantastic and every member of staff is lovely. The animals are well cared for. Whenever we visit my daughter and I can’t stop grinning, thank you to everyone here. To John and his wife especially - your enthusiasm really shines through and you make a world of difference. Ferret racing is still hilarious after the 10th time, and the deer train is a unique experience.
Sam L — Google review
Very interesting place. Especially for those interested in old vehicles. Very impressive collection of old cars. We loved the exhibition of old farming machinery and how high streets used to look like. So much to learn about recent history and daily living! We took a ride on the deer train which was also very enjoyable:)
Kasia U — Google review
We found the whole experience wonderful from start to finish. The oldie farming vehicles were particularly of interest as we live in a rural community. Feeding and walking the goats was as good as it gets and what a thrill everyone had in feeding the herd of deer by hand as well as the odd llama or two. The deer train ride was very informative from the highly energetic and enthusiastic John who also appeared as compare for the ferret racing. He was very helpful throughout our visit. The bird of prey demonstration appealed to all ages with the little ones being kept on their toes by the youthful nature of the birds. There was ample health and safety messages and plenty of hand washing facilities on site. It was a lovely day all round and we would love to re- visit when down this way again.
George S — Google review
This place was a lot of fun for me and my littles. The museum side was great fun for all 4 of us to look around and the playgrounds, animal feeding and ferret racing was a blast. A great day out ☺️
Philippa T — Google review
Lovely park very family orientated good for children. We loved the birds of prey display and got to have a photo taken with them. Lots of old machinery cars& bikes . Very good value for money spent 4 hours in total
Melanie L — Google review
Lovely place to go with the family. They have lots of things to do and places to explore, from feeding the animals to ferret racing. Feeding the lamas and deer on the deer train was an experience my little ones will not forget in a hurry!!

Beach pavillion
Exmouth Beach is a beautiful, long stretch of sand on the English Channel. It's perfect for swimming, sunbathing, and windsurfing. There are also several restaurants and cafes nearby.
Cool sandy beach with easy access to it. Just keep an eye on warnings the tide changes. It was bright and sunny day and wasn't much busy. Clean and good quality golden sand for the children to play on. I took my shoes off and enjoyed my walk. A lot of cafes, ice cream, chippies and restaurants around. Public toilets available so as car park. So just chill and enjoy your day.
Win T — Google review
One of the best beaches in the UK. At 2 miles from end to end it's an amazing walk with plenty to see along the way. Loads of options to eat and drink as well as amusements, crazy golf and the recently built lifeboat center. Plenty of beach based activities too with lifeguard cover. Honestly the best beach, I've been coming here several times a year for the last 2 decades. Lovely!
Keith M — Google review
The overall vibe is relaxed and friendly. There are also plenty of amenities nearby, including cafes and shops, making it a convenient and enjoyable destination for the whole family, including your four-legged friends. Exmouth Beach is a definite must-visit if you’re looking for a beautiful, dog-friendly coastal escape.
Bubble J — Google review
Spent a day at exmouth and had a beautiful time. This beach is sandy, which makes a nice change from the other beaches along this coast. Dog friendly either end, with lots of rock pools and space for dogs/ kids to run around. There are toilets and a lovely cafe next to the beach as well. Would definitely recommend a visit.
Sl — Google review
Very clean and calm - granted it was a Monday during school term. However, I am very impressed that they keep a reasonable sized area of the beach that allows dogs all year round. My 7 year old Labrador loved it; it was his first time on a beach and being by the sea
Joshua T — Google review
Beautiful clean beach on a beautiful clear sunny day. There's so much to see and do. There was a brave man swimming in the sea which was great to see. I finger tested the water and it didn't feel as cold as I was thinking it would. It's normally a 25 minute drive from Exeter but on the day I drove there it took 60 minutes because there were roadworks with 2 temporary traffic lights. I tried stem ginger ice cream and a latte from one of the food vendors and both were really nice. Overall a great day out with lots to see.
Naveed R — Google review
Lovely deep sandy clean beach. rock pools when tide goes out. Lifeguards present. Sufficient parking. Toilets I think were 40p to access by tapping card, clean toilets. One small cafe near the lifeguard shop.
Sandrine D — Google review
Not a massive beach, but nice and clean. Lovely view over the sea and the mouth of the river Exe. Definitely recommend the 1 hour 10 min cruise up and down the river with interesting live commentary.

Stuart Line Cruises, a family-owned business with over 50 years of experience, offers a variety of boat trips along the Devon coast. From Exeter to Torquay, visitors can explore the stunning wildlife and the Jurassic Coast World Heritage Site. The company provides weather-friendly, family-friendly, and dog-friendly cruises from Exmouth Marina. Additionally, they offer special tours featuring band performances and bird-watching activities.
Fantastic afternoon canal and river trip from Exeter to Exmouth. Lovely staff, excellent commentary and great value for money (£15 each for 2.5 hours). There was a wide range of drinks, snacks and ice creams available. Wish we’d pre booked the cream tea as it looked so good and was only £4 including a tea, coffee, water or squash!
Jackie W — Google review
We booked a short trip on the Tudor Rose to scatter my husband's ashes at sea, and his mum's ashes too. We were well looked after by Will and Kev who made sure we knew what we were doing and were so friendly. We had 4 small children with us, who loved the trip and it was so much nicer than an ordinary funeral. We scattered the ashes with petals and roses and the children blew bubbles - a lovely way for them to say goodbye to their grandad who loved the sea and boats and especially Budleigh Salterton. We then raised a glass to Geoff and Buddy and the children had ice-cream. We were lucky with the weather too, a great tribute and fitting way to remember them both. Thank you Will and Kev, and Amanda who helped us to make the arrangements. I can't recommend Stuart Line Cruises highly enough.
Elaine H — Google review
Second time we did a trip and it was as good as the first. Very easy to book and very organised. The captain gave us a good commentary on the way out. The facilities on board are good. There is a bar serving hot and cold drinks and snacks (crisps/choc bars). You can go and get them yourselves or wait for someone to come and take your order. We were on the upper deck which was outside and were given blankets and umbrellas as the weather was a bit changeable. You could also go inside where it was dry and warmer. I really recommend them for a lovely day out.
Georgina C — Google review
We booked a private Cruise for the Exetraordinary Women WI Summer Party and had the most amazing evening. The booking process with Amanda was so smooth and professional and nothing was too much trouble. The catering options were very good and we went for the BBQ. It was all cooked fresh on the boat and was excellent with great quality burger, sausage and salad. There were even leftovers so people could have seconds. The vegetarian option was just as good and everyone was so pleased for the price. The bar staff were very efficient and the bottles of wine came out chilled all night - perfect. Overall we had an amazing night and are looking to book next year as it was such a success and would certainly recommend them for a great evening cruise.
Joanne R — Google review
I have been on 3 different trips this year so far and each was great. The staff are always welcoming and get the balance between being friendly and still professional.
Lucy W — Google review
Had a wonderful cruise along the coast complete with cream tea. Scones were already loaded with cream and jam yes, but I can,t see how you could do it yourself on bouncing boat at sea. Very informative commentary. All crew were very happy and helpful. Can,t wait to visit again for another trip. Thanks for a lovely afternoon! I even got a September sun tan
David P — Google review
Great day out. Be warned. They prepare the cream tea before and serve it already loaded with jam and cream. I asked for mine to have only a little cream and I would like to do it myself. The response I got from the member of staff was that they don’t have time to serve it like that. I explained nicely that I’m a bit fussy but she did get a bit frustrated. I did get the spare scone with just jam on and it was absolutely delicious. Our party of four had a great time and loved it. Customer service was just a bit rude by one member with my requirements.
Maria C — Google review
Professionally run boat trips around Exmouth and beyond. Prices are very reasonable compared to others. Booked the mini cruise and the Dawlish round robin, returning by train alongside the river via Exeter.

A la Ronde is a one-of-a-kind 16-sided country house located in Exmouth, built in the late 18th century for two sisters, Jane and Mary Parminter. The interior is adorned with an array of peculiar decorations including a gallery embellished with around 25,000 shells and a feather frieze made from various bird species. This National Trust property is filled with mementos from the sisters' travels across Europe and beyond.
We visited as part of a family group, plenty of parking, no wait to enter the property and very friendly volunteers. Fascinating property history and the rooms are amazing. Didn’t explore the grounds on this visit. Plenty of activities for younger children. Small shop , book shop and small catering van (very tasty food)
Travelmad999 — Google review
We had a fantastic visit to A La Ronde!! We did a walking tour of the estate with Nigel and he was great fun, I really enjoyed the tour. We then ventured inside and there were plenty of volunteers dotted throughout. We grabbed lunch from the food van on site and the staff there were fantastic too. This was a lovely national trust and I loved how it looked like a moomin house!
Emily B — Google review
Beautiful house! Well maintained with beautiful shells and feather collection/decorations. The volunteers are very friendly with lots of knowledge about the house and people who lived there. The van has great drinks, cakes, soups, scones and panini's.
Shiwani K — Google review
TL;DR absolutely awesome This properA la Ronde had been on my to-visit list for years. I finally found myself in the area with a few hours to spare. I expected to spend maybe an hour — small house, in and out in twenty minutes, quick coffee, and move on. I ended up spending THREE hours there. There wasn’t a single flaw I could find. This was, hands down, the best National Trust experience I’ve ever had. The volunteers and staff were genuinely kind and friendly. The place was spotless — even the toilets smelled fresh. The second-hand bookshop is well stocked with a lovely selection of books. The tea, coffee, ice cream, and lemonade were all delicious. You can sit in the shade of fruit trees in the orchard or enjoy the sunshine on the lawn in front of the house, with views over the River Exe and Exmouth. The grounds aren’t vast, but they’re perfect for a gentle stroll, with benches thoughtfully placed along the way. And then there’s the house itself. What a curious little place! Seashells and feathers everywhere. And more shells. There’s just so much to see and marvel at. I’ll definitely visit again — and next time, I’m bringing the whole family.
Peter P — Google review
It was easy to get to on the 57 bus from the town centre of Exmouth. This sixteen sided property with a Octagon core centre room. I've never seen anything quite like it! The two cousins who had the house designed and built by a relation who was an architect. The thought that has gone into every aspect is funominal! Set on an elevated position overlooking Exmouth Seafront and farther afield. The shells were simply Stunning, I know I'm repeating myself but I've never seen anything like it! What charm and beauty it holds.
Di B — Google review
Friendly helpfully staff. Highly recommend the grounds walking tour. Very interesting. Lovely views of the estery.
Lorenzo M — Google review
The house is small but amazing. Loved the feather frieze and the she'll room. Staff were very knowledgeable and really happy to share their love of the building and it's history.
Susie N — Google review
A very quirky building well set out for the public to see every room, with lots of information in them about the property. They volunteer's knowledgeable and friendly. The grounds are beautiful on the lovely sunny day we visited, would be a little too exposed to enjoy in damp or windy weather. Would go again when in the area.

Orcombe Point is a stunning location marking the western edge of the Jurassic Coastline. It offers breathtaking coastal views and a chance to see the famous Geoneedle, a needle sculpture made from local rock. Visitors can embark on the Exmouth and Orcombe Point Walk, a leisurely five-mile circular route starting at Exmouth's train station. The walk includes popular parks like Manor Gardens and The Maer nature reserve, known for its bird-watching opportunities.
This was truly a magnificent expression of God’s beauty in nature. It’s an incredibly gorgeous place to visit and the atmosphere is one of tranquility. Dogs jump around and into the sea, with people from all ages, countries and walks of life enjoying a very cordial experience with other sea lovers. We were very impressed and are looking forward to coming again. Highly recommended!
Luke D — Google review
The outer edge of Exmouth beach cliff area holding Orcombe point and spectacular nature beauty. Buttercup fields spreading on miles. You can have Exmouth beach view from top as well. For going up you can follow SW coast path up high. Very nice trail for a walk at Jurassic coast. Orcombe Point is marked by the Geoneedle which was unveiled by Prince Charles in 2002. This area has 185 millions years history of fossils. Worth for a walk
Win T — Google review
Exmouth is where Exeter goes to exhale; a broad, golden sprawl at the mouth of the River Exe that manages, against the odds, to be both charming and slightly chaotic. From above, it looks like someone smeared custard across the bottom edge of a map, which is oddly fitting: it’s warm, a bit messy, and somehow still inviting. It’s the flagship of local beaches on the south side, and on a sunny weekend, you’ll find half the county there, doing their very best to have a good time and mostly succeeding. Parking is a bit of a sport. Not impossible, but you’ll need a bit of luck or a strong sense of optimism. Public transport is more of a gentle suggestion than a reliable option, though it does exist if you're patient and not in any particular hurry. That said, if you’ve got a blue badge, things improve noticeably. With a little persistence, patience and insider knowledge, you’ll likely find a spot and feel quite smug about it. Head along to Orcombe Point and the beach changes character completely. The neat and orderly sand gives way to something far more dramatic; towering red sandstone cliffs, ancient and unapologetically wild. This is the beginning of the Jurassic Coast, and it wears its age with pride. There’s something grounding about standing at the edge of a landscape that was already old when dinosaurs wandered across it. Dogs are allowed year-round at this end which is a small mercy for anyone accompanied by something furry and enthusiastic. The only real catch is that access past the point is tide-dependent. There were steps once but long gone now, so you’ll need to keep an eye on the sea and pick your moment. It adds a touch of adventure, really, and makes getting there feel like a little victory. Beyond the cliffs, the beach gets quieter, rougher, and altogether more interesting. Rock pools appear, little ecosystems in miniature, and kids race between boulders with nets and plastic buckets like it’s still 1953. You can swim here too. The water’s bracing but clean enough if you time it right, and if you can overlook South West Water’s occasional lapses in civic responsibility, it’s genuinely refreshing.
Chris — Google review
Lovely walk with stunning views, some mild gradients. Suitable for young and old, but not accessible for mobility scooters and wheelchairs much past the spire (or whatever you want to call the large pointy thing). Keep away from the edge as there was evidence of erosion/ minor cliff fall along the route.
Richard C — Google review

Exmouth Museum & Heritage Centre offers a fascinating collection of well-displayed artifacts, making it bigger than it seems. The knowledgeable staff are eager to share insights about the exhibits. Visitors find the entrance fee fair and worthwhile. The museum is highly recommended for newcomers to Exmouth, offering great information about the area's history and local items of interest. It's housed in a charming building with a layout that visitors appreciate.
One of the volunteers spent ten minutes giving an historical overview to just my wife and I which really brought the displays alive. We learned about some of the famous local characters including Ann (Nancy) Perriam (1769-1865) known as a "powder monkey", Viscountess Frances Herbert Nelson (1762 - 1831), Baroness Anna Isabella Byron (1792 - 1860) and Mary Anne Clarke (1776 - 1852). Well worth visiting!

I came back to visit Exmouth, having lived here as a child with my family in the late 60's. The museum was interesting - they need a larger facility for their displays and are trying to raise more funds. The volunteers were helpful and very passionate about the town and the information.

Really good little museum with lots of interesting items in it. It £2.50 per person to get in. The staff were very friendly and full of local facts and stories.

Very small entrance fee, £2.50 per person but very well worth it. I even suggested that they charge more. However, I was shocked to hear that some people walk out when they are informed of the entrance fee! Some of the items on display brought back lots of memories from my childhood. It is very nostalgic and worth a visit.

Went at the end of March so quiet (which I prefer). Was a great veggie lunch of Halloumi sweet chilli sandwich and fries plus a cheeky half of Sandfords. Prompt and friendly service with the prices on point. 👍

We passed by here and thought we'd have a little look inside (not from around here, came for a Haven holiday) saw they had a soft play so we took our 17 month old. Spent a good 2 hours here she loved it, staff were nice and friendly, nice clean play area and seating area. Think we were lucky as weren't busy at all! Lovely views as well. Would definitely visit again if we was in the area.

Have been here to eat and just for coffee sometimes, has always been great. Until tonight don't know what happened! Great staff but tonight waiting almost an hour for our food order. Drinks arrived promptly no problem but the food no. We ordered 2 x nachos which looked like they had been chucked on the plate. Presentation not good. No jalapeños no cheese. Got the money back on one and ordered something else for the replacement for other one. Can only put it down to short staffed as normally very good. Disappointed tonight.
Amanda R — Google review
If (!) there is anyone in charge of F&B here, they should be ashamed. Staff unable to setup a table for a reservation of over a week ago and did so a la minute. Only acted once asked, although another birthday table was already setup with bells and whistles and stood empty for 2 hrs. Food was below par on all dishes tried. Beef Burger patty was the only highlight from the whole table. Factory made but tasted decent and the texture was good. Plant based burger a disaster, peas and mash which were crumbed and deep fried, burger buns burnt. Pizza - looks and tastes like a first attempt by a 10yo in a Food Tech class but not shy to charge £12++ for it. The only thing that was actually enjoyed without fuss was the damn cold beer which came in the right branded glases, temperature and proper fizz..this is why it's 2* and not 1* - although Peronis had to be repoured for another customer because they were flat ... The wait at the bar was painful. Maybe team overwhelmed with busy Easter Saturday but it's not a random holiday once in a blue moon, these things you plan ahead and prepare for, stock up and staff up. Overall a total disappointment with no mention of the birthday that we booked for. Won't be coming again, not even for a beer unless the management pulls their socks up and turns this place around. Absolute shame and a waste of incredible location and space to run an operation with quality of 1990's where you may have got away with it, people less travelled and less clued up on basic food tastes. It may be in far remote beach part of Exmouth, which is not the #1 travel hot spot in the UK but that's no excuse and with attitude and quality like that, it can never have hope of climbing up any ranks.

Nice place, the food was nice and a decent portion just not very hot. The cider was nice and cold and refreshing. Staff were friendly.

We was lucky enough to go to a wedding the staff could not do enough for everyone. Very friendly and helpful. Very clean and comfortable. Food was fantastic and the G J was brilliant. And the views were outside we had a beautiful sunny day and to sit out and look over exmouth was amazing. Everyone who was there all enjoyed it . So thank you everyone at ocean for making this day Very special 💙

This is a great place to nip into it’s not the cheapest place but it’s nice. The staff are very nice too. Lots to do as well for the kids can be a bit expensive. I would definitely recommend it. We had a nice time here.

Awesome restaurant with huge play area and bowling. Great for customers with allergies. The play area is really big, with lots of apparatus for children to burn off all their energy. It's clean and well run, but it is a maximum two hour stay at busy times. Drinks and snacks are available and there is a separate bar if you need a bit of peace and quiet. The restaurant is a great reason to visit the Ocean complex. The food is excellent, as is the friendly service and nice selection of alcoholic drinks. It is also dog friendly and even has its own dog menu. Our daughter has a severe peanut allergy and the manager Justin went out of his way to have a conversation with us about the menu. He then checked the products and spoke with the kitchen staff to make them aware. He even remembered us visiting the previous year. Superb. This kind of service is few and far between, most restaurants don't care. Would definitely recommend and with prices that won't break the bank we will be using again.

The center provides educational insights and hands-on experiences for individuals or families, with options ranging from one-hour sessions to full-day packages. Expert trainers guide guests through the experience, sharing fascinating stories and information about the well-cared-for birds.
Booked a 1 hour handling experience with my 7 year old Son. We had a relaxed, informative, enjoyable experience meeting many of their raptors and Echo the Owl. My Son asked lots of questions and it felt like a big informal chat, receiving information on each raptor on their personality and species. We also watched the show at 1pm after. A fantastic half day spent there. Great value for money.

Fabulous!!! Great to see so many birds on display and watching them fly was as always breathtaking. There was an opportunity to hold the birds using a glove and have your photo taken if you wished. Very reasonably priced fabulous photos ready in minutes nicely mounted to take home. The owners were friendly, more than happy to explain the upkeep of the birds and very informative about their species.

I had the 1hr experience which was amazing price at £45 and if u book in advance u get to go around the World Of Country Life free. There’s seven birds in total, I’ve only posted these coz the others are videos.

I had a half day experience on 17th September 2022 and throughly enjoyed it. Sharon and Simon where friendly, knowledgeable and professional. Getting up close, holding and feeding the birds was an amazing experience and highly recommended. I felt safe and relaxed straight away and all the birds were calm and friendly especially when you are the one with the food! The big owl Echo was my favourite and can't wait to go back again! Thank you Natasha

The experience of flying birds of prey with The Hawkridge falconers was incredible. An experience not to be missed, worth booking the extra experiences to have an amazing personalised session and to interact with the birds with your own private session. A truly magical experience to be so close to magnificent majestic birds. Baldric was a wonderful surprise as we had no idea which birds we would get to fly, so flying a bald eagle was breathtaking. All of the crew are incredible and made the experience wonderful, they are a pleasure to meet and truly talented people. By buying any experience you are supporting their bird sanctuary and they really are doing amazing work. Thank you to all of you at hawkridge for one of the best experiences ever, unforgettable.

A truly magical afternoon flying, handling, feeding and marvelling at a selection of raptors -- both large and small. The tuition and instruction inspired confidence, even with the Eagle, and the knowledge and factoids imparted by the owners was fascinating. Enthralled by the birds, we immediately overcame the initial squeamishness of handling and feeding them raw chicken pieces and dead chicks! We absolutely 100% recommend this experience. BRILLIANT.

I go to the pavilion for line dancing. I have bad knees but this is gentle enough to be able to take part without any pain. It’s good exercise and fun. A great way to meet people and get some exercise x

Cafe visit 30th July 2025. 30% capacity 14:00hrs. 40 minute wait for two kids meals and two toasties. Kids meals came out 10mins apart even though they were both sausages. Staff no manners, no acknowledgement of the circus they were running out back. Manager (dark green) out on break, another manager (the guy pictured who didn’t have a care in the world) had a poor attitude whilst covering. Won’t rush back, good potential place otherwise with the right staff and attitude. Toastie pictured £11.

A great Venue to watch the Tribute Bands we enjoy, not to large and not too small. They always have a good selection of quality Acts booked, and the attached good value Cafe means we can book a table, drive over from Honiton, find Parking and have a meal in comfort before the Show. A stand-out feature is their friendly and helpful Staff.

Nice little venue. Got to say the sound wasn't a great mix as you could hardly hear the instruments cutting through but not sure if it was a house pa / desk or the bands

Visitors praise the engaging and challenging nature of the rooms, such as "The Vault" and "The Heist," with puzzles that cater to different age groups. Players appreciate the quick delivery of post-game photos.
Helen was an amazing host. We played the Sherlock game and it was so much fun! As parents of a very little boy, it was the first date day we had together on our own and we enjoyed every minute.. we didn't have time to worry about him and our brains were so busy! What fantastic imagination and creativity you both have. Hopefully we can visit again soon!

We really enjoyed doing the Sherlock Holmes room today. The game master was very friendly and helpful and the room itself was brilliantly themed. The puzzles were well thought out and very unique. Overall, one of the best rooms I've done.

Sandy Bay Beach, a Blue Flag winner in 2019, is a stunning destination located just a short walk from the town center. This long, sandy shoreline offers activities like windsurfing and clifftop strolls with breathtaking views of the English Channel. Families will appreciate its safe and shallow waters for kids to swim and play. The beach is also sheltered by Straight Point, providing a picturesque setting for visitors to enjoy.
A great beach for the dog although there is a dog ban from 1st May to 30th September. The walk down is fairly steep, toilets, shop and restaurant with a terrace available. I stayed on the Haven site so not sure about public access. The best way to visit would be by bus that stops near the beach.
Alun L — Google review
No parking space at all you need to park off street before you reach a Haven holiday park then walk down about 15 mins to get the beach, beach is sandy and plenty of space for everyone, usually sea water is calm and suitable for small kids
Lucjan G — Google review
We went to Devon Cliffs for a week and visited this beach nearly every day. It was cleaned every morning by a tractor raking the sand. There is a bar open most days selling a variety of soft drink and alcohol with a seating area too. We love this beach as it’s safe for children and close to amenities
Samantha C — Google review
I do not recommend this beach. The parking area has now been made private and is only accessible to people staying at the nearby campsite. The person at the gate was aggressive and threatened to call the police if we didn’t park outside even though the parking lot itself was nearly empty. Be aware that if you’re not staying at the campsite, you’ll have to park far away and walk around 30 minutes to reach the beach.

Lovely Sandy beach, stunning views from the beach and over the beach from the coastal path. The red clift is stunning. The shooting range is awful with the sound of shoots, it takes away the charm of this beautiful beach. Check the tide tables if you want to walk from or to Exmouth beach.

The Maer is a lovely open space, perfect for dog walking, picnicking and BBQ's. There are public toilets that, unfortunately, are only open during April to October. There's also a fenced in play area for children. The Maer used to be a golf links and due to the amount of sand never gets muddy so is perfect to walk on all year round!

Excellent, kind, caring staff! Good variety on offer at concession. Only downfall is the toilets were quite dirty and it is apparent it was not just dirty from today. Hand dryer in handicap toilet was difficult to run as your hands basically have to touch it to sense your hands were there. If those things were dealt with this would definitely be 5 star!

A good evening out with plush, comfortable seats, charming hosts and plentiful supplies of snacks and drinks. The wide screen and full surround sound brings an immersive experience of watching films, all in perfect colour. An excellent park, something for everyone here. It’s a nice green space with lots of trees that’s nice to walk around. Also a pond (that I think is part of Withycombe Brook?). The facilities here are excellent and they cater so well for different interests and age groups. There’s pitch and put, a bowling green and green gym equipment dotted around. Tennis courts too. For children, there’s a younger children’s playground and one for older children. The playgrounds are next to each other. The skatepark is popular too and I saw younger children using it with scooters. Phear Park is a great example of what a park should be (I unfortunately speak as someone who’s park where I’m from is having a sewerage pumping station built on it 😔).

Limited parking space but they are free. There is also a lovely cafe tucked away in the park, with additional parking and picnic benches. Family and dog friendly - plenty of space and no need to crowd other people
Mari-Lou W — Google review
I am giving this a 1 rating just on the pitch and putting course. I hate giving negative reviews but this doesn't even deserve a 1, it is a disgrace, it wouldn't even be worth playing on if it was free! uncut greens, hardly any markers for where to play from. I am sure it is being neglected so they come build homes there in the future. do not waste your time. lovely to walk the dog though but as a pitch an putt course it is useless.
Michael C — Google review
Some fun lines here, but also quite a lot of space which doesnt really go anywhere - like the enormous quarter pipe you have to push like a maniac to get to. Also quite a lot of sparse space around the volcano thing. Pool was nice and tight. In summary plenty of stuff to hit though, so a fun day out if you're in the area. Free parking at the carpark at the top of the park.
Hambobet — Google review
A nice place to walk the dog. A good play park, an amazing state of the art skate park, a wonderful cafe. The council toilets could do with some work though. Bumble and Tea is a fabulous little cafe that does amazing cakes.
Binky B — Google review
Lovely big park not far from Exmouth town centre and close to the cycle path which goes to Budleigh Salterton. There are many old trees, predominantly oaks I think, which are very impressive. There's a children's play area, a skate park, tennis courts, cafe, toilets and pitch and putt course as well as lovely walkways around the park and a big, free car park.
Pauline — Google review
A lovely park for a walk either alone or with children/pets, lots of benches to sit and relax and enjoy the scenery, The park is great for children aged 1- 10yrs Could do with upgrading the climbing frame as it's been around 20years or more now and it's not very exciting or challenging for the older children. They have also removed baby swings so apart from a round swing that everyone wants to go on there is nothing for little babies and under 1s. Lots to do with golf, the skate park is awesome, tennis/badminton courts, a cafe at the top of the park, local pond with benches, and parking at the bottom entrance and the top of the park. Toilets at the top of the park too

Lovely bit of fun in the centre of the town. Local authorities everywhere take note. Make public art a bit less pretentious and a bit more fun. Not many people are impressed by an obscure poem no matter how well written. Dinosaurs on the other hand.... 🦖

What a great fun demonstration in the centre of Exmouth. The dinosaurs may be plastic, but there realistic representation makes them great fun to view.

Bowling alley
Ocean Exmouth - Bowling & Amusements is a fantastic destination for those seeking indoor entertainment, especially on a rainy day. With its vibrant bowling lanes, an array of arcade games, and pool tables, there's something for everyone to enjoy. The onsite café adds to the experience by offering refreshments while you play. Visitors have shared their positive experiences about the friendly staff and well-maintained facilities, making it a delightful spot for couples or groups looking to have fun together.
Great evening, surprisingly impressed with the place! Staff were friendly, lanes were good. Would come again 😊

Had a pretty lousy experience at this venue. It took ages for us to be served and when we were served we were told to make use of the thirsty Thursday deal we had to book online - and so we did so there and then. What's the point? If you offer something why not just put it through in-person too - the place is hardly overwhelmed with customers. Also when we'd finished doing our online order it took ages to be served again, there literally wasn't a single other customer in there. Many of the drinks weren't available on tap for whatever reason. We were put on a bowling lane that already had half-finished drinks on the table. The server definitely saw and left them because they had to come in and put down the barriers. The bowling alley itself is pretty good, the animated toon characters you can make is novel and fun. It definitely wasn't booming in there as you get with other alleys though, and weirdly the music is synced up to a Spotify account with adverts. When other customers turned up they were put on the lane next to us. Not a huge issue but seeing as there was literally no one else in there, I think it's a courtesy to put people apart if you can help it. Anyway overall pretty average, the thirsty Thursday deal is alright though.

I recently visited Ocean Exmouth Bowling. The facilities were clean and well-kept, offering a straightforward bowling experience. The staff was friendly and efficient, and the atmosphere was casual and relaxed. While it might not have had a lot of extra features, it provided a decent time out with friends or family. Overall, it was a solid choice for a fun bowling session.

Booking was a experience poor. Cancelled events on short notice, also allowing glass in events which shouldn’t be allowed. Jessica white was the corresponding manager.

Fun time! Prefer Exeter Tenpin, but a nice place to go in Exmouth. My partner took me and have a lovely time (though I'm sure done of those lanes were wonky!)

We walked in rather than booking online and the prices compared to online deals were crazy. Paid £27+ for three of us to play one game. I was unable to book online but didn't think it would be that much more on the door. It was very noisy inside which my youngest son hated but they did offer ear defenders which is a great idea. Dirty plates were left lying around despite it being super quiet when we were there. The staff member we met was very friendly though. I don't think I would go back however

Great bowling and lanes never broke. Quick service and recommended

Arcade was not worth visiting. More than half the machines were marked out of order. 1 had issues when trying to pay. £1.20 per go on the machines that did work.

We went on a Jurassic Coast boat trip with our kids (aged 14 and 12) and had such a great time! It was amazing to see the 250-million-year-old cliffs up close – truly impressive. We also managed to take some lovely family photos, and the ride back over the waves was fast and fun – pure joy! This trip is a must-do for adults and absolutely fantastic with children too. Captain Henry is super friendly and full of knowledge about the area. It was a real pleasure to chat with him. Highly recommended!

Wonderful day with Exe-luxe! Comfortable and fast boat, small so feels private. We moored near Babbacombe and had a lovely swim with a view of the Carey Arms. Would love to do this again!
