The Art Gallery of Burlington is a cultural gem and a must-visit for art enthusiasts in Burlington. Founded in 1978, this dynamic gallery showcases a diverse collection of contemporary and historical artworks, with a focus on Canadian artists. The gallery's exhibits include paintings, sculptures, textiles, and the largest collection of contemporary Canadian ceramics in the country. Located near Spencer Smith Park, it offers free admission and also provides creative workshops for both children and adults.
Great little gallery. I particularly like ceramic art and this gallery has a great collection. I also liked wandering around the building discovering additional ceramic pieces. Loved the courtyard garden, a new ce serene space with quite a collection of plants. Friendly staff, no charge for admission (at least on the Sunday I was there) Large pay parking lot available adjacent to the main entrance beside a park. And a great little gift shop right at the Lakeshore Rd entrance.

Level 9 Google Local Guide 43 million plus views You will find something new to fall in love with. There’s a wonderful variety of mediums and artistic styles to explore, it really lets you slow down and soak it all in. The gift shop? Honestly, it feels like its own boutique gallery. So beautifully curated, filled with handcrafted pieces and local artist gems. Even if you’re not planning to buy, it’s worth stepping in just to admire the artistry. Admission is free, which makes it even more accessible, and there’s an option to donate if you’d like to support. They also offer art classes for both kids and adults. perfect if you’re looking to tap into your own creative side. A gem in Burlington ☺️
Annmarie V — Google review
In addition to a permanent collection and rotation art installations, AGB is also a thriving place for makers. Classes are offered year-round for varying disciplines, ages, and experience levels. Multiple guilds are based out of the gallery for those looking to find community and further their craft. The gallery is wheelchair accessible and is a great place to visit.
Carol H — Google review
This was my third visit to the Burlington Art Gallery & I love it. There is such a variety of different mediums & styles to immerse yourself in. The gift shop is a pristine art gallery of its own & also worth a visit even if it is just to explore more beautiful works made by local artists. It is free of charge to visit. You can donate if you would like & they do have a number of classes you can register for for both kids & adults should you wish to develop your own inner artist. We also enjoyed the free art supplies area & found it quite thoughtful for the gallery to let visitors take unneeded art supplies home.
Spencer M — Google review
Very unfriendly gift shop. The staff that day comprised of two senior ladies, one of which just didn't want my wife and daughters there, as if she presumed they would pilfer or damage items on display. I actually liked one of the artwork there and considered buying it but decided not to because of the attitude.
Muhammad Z — Google review
Lovely little art gallery, they have provided pottery classes which I attended years ago which was very enjoyable. Went recently for a craft show and it was a pleasure to visit again. The staff was friendly and helpful, will go back more often.
Natalie E — Google review
Small Art Gallery with nice garden centre. Collection is small and as I understand mostly represents local artists. During my visit paintings, ceramic art and some whimsical sculpture were on display. There is no entrance fees, Gallery relies on donations. The boutique is very nice, a lot of unique gifts can be found there. Overall, worth a visit.

Admission by donation, very stimulating exhibits, lots of crafting workshops, seems very fun for locals. 1 hour should be enough to see everything.

Nestled along the stunning waterfront of downtown Burlington, Spencer Smith Park is a delightful urban oasis that beckons both locals and visitors alike. This charming park, named in honor of a renowned horticulturalist who played a pivotal role in shaping Burlington's parks and trails, boasts an array of attractions. With its lush green lawns, breathtaking views of the water, and inviting playgrounds, it’s an ideal spot for families to gather and create lasting memories.
Spencer Smith Park was a wonderful place to visit! We went on a Saturday (Aug. 31, 2024) and had a lovely walk along the lake and through the park. There was also a Labour Day weekend celebration going on, but we didn't check out the booths and festivities as we were there just to enjoy nature and to explore the cool structure at the Brant Street Pier! The view from the upper platform was awesome! Another great park in Burlington that you should visit, especially if you live in West End Toronto! It's only half an hour away! 😊👍💜 Here's a tip: If you go on a weekend, park at 414 Locust St. where the parking is free ... otherwise, you'll have a hard time finding a spot in that area ... or you'll pay $10 per hour!! 😉
Lorna S — Google review
Spencer Smith Park has a well manicured waterfront trail along the edges of Lake Ontario. It’s a great place to take a stroll, bike, roller blade, or jog. Lay down a beach mat or towel, and have yourself a little picnic. Catch a glimpse of the sun during sunrise or sunset. One can catch the fireworks show here during the July long weekend. Plus in early Spring, you can see the blooms of the Cherry Blossom trees. It’s connected to the Brant Street Pier. The Spencer Beach is nearby, and it’s relatively small in size and gets quickly filled in with people. There’s also a memorial nearby honouring the people who fought and died serving our country. Metered parking is available, but the parking spaces are limited.

This park is very beautiful and have amazing view. Park is child friendly and have lot of activity for child to do. At the same time if you want to eat or drink something then they have bench over there. It was lovely to gp there. I recommend this to families and couples. And those who feel alone. Refreshing breezy air will blow your mind.
Divya T — Google review
Great for walks whether alone, or with family and friends. There is a lot of nice photo opportunities, plenty of area to sit down and even have a picnic at. There are musicians who come play here, and some of them are incredibly talented that they do deserve some donations. Festivals and other events are also quite common here. There are benches along the path, but for some of the nicer areas you'd want to sit near, there usually is already someone there. Sunsets and sunrises are beautiful around here, and present many photo opportunities. It's also super safe to walk along the park area due to it being so public, you won't really have to worry about dangerous people or things too much, even at 12 AM. However, I have seen older men creepily looking or staring at me late in the night.. (after 12 AM) but I still feel relatively safe being around so many other people in plain view. A lot of people have dogs off leashes here (even though it's not safe, because anything can happen and provoke a dog) which isn't the best, since someone like me is allergic and also had a bad childhood experience with dogs. So please keep them on a leash, even if it's a long leash. If you see someone is becoming cautious around your dog, please pull them back. You don't know if they're just scared, or if they're allergic, even if you know your dog is good. I believe you, but some people like me still can't be near them without getting an allergic reaction unfortunately.

I recently this park and it was amazing! The park has a lot of green space, a pond, a playground, and a nice walking path. Best of all a nice river ealk. The park is well-maintained and clean. I enjoyed sitting on the benches and watching the ducks swim in the pond. There's also a nice picnic area if you want to bring your own food. Overall, it's a great place to relax and enjoy some fresh air.
AM3 — Google review
Great place to walk close to the lake. Wide mostly paved paths. Tons of dog walkers and families out walking. And those biking were courteous. In summertime there are washrooms mid way down. Otherwise there was a center near the kids park that had washrooms.
Michelle S — Google review
Great place for a walk. Went there for cherry blossom. There are like 10-12 trees. The riverside gives you a nice breeze for walking, and a good background for your photos. The only problem was limited parking spaces.
Burhanuddin L — Google review
Spencer Smith Park in Burlington, Ontario, offers a picturesque waterfront oasis along the shores of Lake Ontario. With its sprawling green spaces, scenic walking paths, and sandy beach, the park provides a serene escape from the hustle and bustle of city life. Visitors can enjoy stunning views of the lake and the Burlington Skyway Bridge while picnicking, sunbathing, or simply strolling along the waterfront. The park also hosts various events and festivals throughout the year, adding to its vibrant atmosphere. Whether you're seeking relaxation or outdoor recreation, Spencer Smith Park offers something for everyone, making it a beloved destination for locals and tourists alike.

If you're seeking an educational and enjoyable activity in Burlington, the Joseph Brant Museum is a must-visit. Named after Joseph Brant, a prominent Mohawk leader and British military officer who settled in the area during the late 18th century, this museum provides an intriguing look into the history of Burlington and its surroundings. From Indigenous heritage to the city's evolution into a modern urban center, the museum's exhibits cover diverse topics. Visitors can expect an engaging experience that combines education with entertainment.
We were there Saturday for our son’s Vow Renewal. We didn’t tour the museum as we were there for a special occasion. The private room was very nice. They had a kitchen (small but very useful) to store the food which was great. Robin Hill met us when we arrived, she was absolutely fabulous and explained everything in detail. Her service was amazing!

Level 9 Google Local Guide 43 million plus views Not to much to see for $10 entry It should be a free entry for historical use for what it’s go. If you really want something to do and it’s like a one time visit this would be.
Annmarie V — Google review
I recently went to the museum and I was disappointed. The pictures and items on display were great (I enjoyed seeing the Monopoly Style Burlington Game) but it is quite small. It took me about 30 minutes to go through the museum and I saw and read everything! The house, is a replica, and isn't open to the public. I had hoped the house was set up like a historical home that we could visit. I had hoped for more information about Joseph Brant himself and there was a display but if you don't know who Joseph Brant is, then you might be confused. I did enjoy the room that talked about the Brant Inn and I liked the various clothing period pieces that were displayed. I love museums but this was not worth the money. If it were free, then absolutely go. It is a pricey trip for 30 minutes. I bought a ticket in advance because it seemed to be the only option, but is isn't necessary for this museum.
Nancy — Google review
Disappointing. Burlington has so much incredible history. We viewed one small historical exhibit that lacked imagination, and no entry was allowed in the home. The building’s interior felt rather depressing. $10 each. 20-30 minutes viewing time should do it.
Angelica L — Google review
Very disappointed and embarrassed that tourists visit and will expect to see way more historical items and information. I visited 60 years ago as a teenager and got to see into the house. Not now; I guess it got moved too many times and weakened the structure. This "new" museum was and is a waste of money. I took my granddaughters 12 and 14 to show them Burlington history; best part of day was lunch at the historic Easterbrooks restaurant.
Linda M — Google review
We’ve driven by hundreds of times, but never visited. We learned a lot about Joseph Brant and the history of Burlington. My father used to be a regular at the Brant Inn to see all the big band leaders back in the 1950’s. The rooftop terrace offers some great views of the city and the Lake. There are also several EV spots available in the free adjoining parking lot. Well worth a visit for any Burlington resident!
Derek W — Google review
Went for a personal visit. We didn't wait long at all no one was there. Got seen from Dr. Thatch, can't say anything negative about this experience. Dr Thatch was soo very kind and friendly, the nurse Laura also nice also. Recommend going in the weed day morning by 7am no one there ❤️
Marianna L — Google review
Not worth the $10 Admission. The rooftop is nice sure, but after walking through the whole place and reading what information is offered I felt like it was not worth the money. I’m not sure what the point of this museum is, it seems like a rip off to charge anyone for that experience. What is offered is very basic information, minimal photos, that wouldn’t be worth my time even if it was free.

The Royal Botanical Gardens in Canada is a vast expanse of colorful and overgrown gardens, showcasing a variety of flowers that bloom from May to October. The site also hosts events and boasts an arboretum. It's an ideal location for photography year-round, with the Mediterranean Room offering a warm indoor setting during winter. There is a small fee to access this area, but it's well worth it for the stunning photo opportunities.
Beautiful facility! We visited on a weekend and decided last minute to go—buying tickets on-site was quick and hassle-free with no wait time. The staff were incredibly helpful and accommodating, especially as we had dogs with us and were figuring out where we could go. Clear signage made it easy to know which areas were off-limits for pets, and our dogs loved exploring the outdoor spaces. Overall, such a wonderful and relaxing activity—I’d highly recommend it!

Such a beautiful place. Its far from us, but we went for the fall pumpkin trail and it was a wonderful night. Everyone we spoke to there was also so kind. Its like stepping out of thrle harshness of the world and letting this beautiful place refill your heart with joy.

I was a memorable visit. A great variety of plants and flowers. Spaces are design to the detail to maximize the experience. Many artwork to complement their beautiful gardens. This Botanical Garden has several facilities so make sure you allow yourself enough time to enjoy it to the full. By purchasing the General Admission Ticket you will also gain access to the Rock Garden witch is very enjoyable too.
Jaime L — Google review
A gorgeous and serene garden. The grounds are well maintained. The rock garden is beautiful. There are trails to walk. You can learn about all of the plays. It’s a great place to read and relax. Overall, the place is lovely. I recommend visiting.
Samina S — Google review
Include 3 gardens in one ticket plus they arrange nicely all annuals, roses, tree species and also medicinal garden. Although good collection of succulents plus green wall and pillars was very attractive. Rock garden is also good in architecture, nice concept of rockery with small waterfalls. Overall, worthy for nature lovers or Botanical students.
Rinkal D — Google review
Our family has been coming here for years. We have had memberships in the past and enjoyed visiting the indoor and outdoor areas year round as well as the many events they offer. We especially enjoy the hiking trails and visit regularly. There are a variety of wildlife to see including many birds (swans, ducks, chickadees, cardinals, blue jays and on occasion blue herring) as well as chipmunks, squirrels, frogs and turtles. The trails are well maintained and easy to explore. There are plenty of paid parking spots on site.
J L — Google review
Great getaway spot for peace and Quiet! Royal Botanical Gardens is such a beautiful and peaceful place to explore. The gardens are stunning, especially in spring and summer when everything is in bloom. There are so many different areas to walk through the flower gardens, nature trails, even quiet spots near the water. It’s really well-kept and easy to spend hours just wandering around. This is a good date spot to have long conversations and long walks. I actually met my date here, and it made the experience even more special. It’s the kind of place that makes a great impression, romantic, calm, and full of natural beauty. Whether you're into plants, photography, or just looking for a quiet escape, this place is a gem.

Mount Nemo Conservation Area, located in Burlington, is a haven for outdoor enthusiasts and nature lovers. It's known for its rugged cliffs, scenic lookouts, and diverse wildlife. The area offers various hiking trails suitable for different skill levels, from easy walks to challenging climbs. One of the trails provides a captivating experience through the unique geological formations of the Niagara Escarpment. This protected area is part of the UNESCO World Biosphere Reserve and offers 360-degree views of the escarpment.
I visited Mount Nemo recently and had a great experience! The views along the trail were absolutely impeccable — definitely one of the highlights. There are three interconnected loops, and I chose to hike the South Loop (the yellow trail). The path varied nicely, with some flat areas and others a bit rocky, which kept things interesting. As a solo hiker, I was really happy to see quite a few people along the trail — it’s always reassuring and adds a nice sense of community. I also passed by an outdoor pottie on the trail (didn’t use it, but it’s good to know one is available if needed). Overall, a beautiful and well-maintained trail that I’d gladly return to!
Danzi D — Google review
Beautiful hike! We took the longer 4.8 km loop that combines both trails — it took us just under 2 hours to complete, including a few breaks along the way. Parking and entry are paid (about $10 per person). The Wi-Fi signal is quite weak, so it’s best to book your tickets in advance. There’s a counter for on-the-spot purchases, but someone manning it at all times isn’t guaranteed.
Sachin M — Google review
Went hiking here with some friends yesterday since they had purchased the Halton region's passes for the summer. We took both routes and they were great, and the difficulty was definitely higher than a simple walk. It was a hot day but the breeze on the cliff was on another level entirely! Would love to go back!
Arin G — Google review
It's a fabulous hike with beautiful views on a clear day. I did the full loop which includes the North, South and quarry trails. It's about 7 km in total and takes about 2 hrs.

Great place for hikes. Trails are fairly easy to walk, except for some small rocky parts. Bruce Trail also passes through the area. Parking pre-booking is recommended, especially at weekends.

The shopping mall Village Square in Burlington is a great spot for photos, as it has a beautiful view of the water and historic architecture. It's also a popular place to hang out with friends during the summer months.
Aesthetic European style old world buildings with boutique shops, cafes, bakery, salon and restaurants- though small, is a pleasant space to stroll and have a leisurely coffee break or a nice dinner/lunch. It’s a short walk from the Spencer smith park and waterfront which makes it convenient to park it and walk to the square. Saw a sign that said Sundays are free parking and Saturday, parking free after 6pm. We saw Plenty of small parking areas and street parking available at 2$/hr. Perfect for day trips from Toronto.

Ireland House Museum, situated in Burlington, Ontario, is a well-preserved 19th-century homestead that offers visitors an immersive experience into the history of the Ireland family and the local community. The museum features period furnishings, artifacts, interactive exhibits, and educational programs that shed light on the daily life of the Ireland family and the area's significance in Ontario's development.
Attended a local event at the Ireland House Museum here in Burlington. What a night for the senses. The organizers did a splendid job of presenting their visitors with the sights, sounds and smells of a Christmas in a family farmhouse in the 1800’s. On our walking tour, we had chestnuts outside on an open fire with a cup of hot wassail while inside we were served cookies, fudge, soup and a complete turkey dinner complete with Victorian Apple Cake for dessert. It’s a not to be missed event for next year for sure.

A nice historic house with guided tours included in the price of admission. Lots of historic items original to the home. The hours are not ideal - if you work weekdays your only option is 1-4 PM on Sundays. Worth a visit, especially if you can get the family pass from the library. The gift shop is very cute.

Decided on a mid week tour of this museum and had a great time. It didn't feel like an hour passed. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and passionate as she shared the family's history. It was very interesting and I highly recommend the tour to anyone. We werent able to see Marie's room as they were doing restoration work on the day we came.

Kate was a wonderful guide!! She offered to accommodate my vision disability immediantly, was knowledgeable, fun, and has such a deep love for history and the family. Its amazing to be in such a beautiful restoration with such deep, deep love put into it. There's so much care in this property and it serves an important role in the community via a seed garden for local kids. I cant stress enough how beautiful the restoration work is. There is so much love and respect for the Ireland family and it really captures their lives. Amazing experience. This is worth an hour of anyone who likes canadian histories time

Went on a tour while carrying my baby. The staff are great and very knowledgeable. It is an old house so it is not very accessible on the inside so be mindful of that!

What a delightful historic home museum in Burlington. Why did I wait so long to visit? The house is beautiful and in such good condition, definitely felt like stepping back in time. The knowledgeable guide was friendly and obviously enjoyed her job, sharing with us many entertaining tidbits of information. Plenty of parking, and lovely grounds that would be great for picnicking in summer. They encourage photos with no flash. So many amazing artifacts. What a fun time we had there. Highly recommended.

You know some of the most pleasant surprises are very close to anywhere. Ireland House is one such place. Not even an hours drive from downtown Toronto or take a train and bus. n even has a few secrets, like the possibility of a well in the basement. Also how well the staff and volunteers present themselves.Goof knowledge friendly and professional presentation.I think what I like is the fact it was a family home and squired as complete. The wood shed, chopped and ready to use.The kitchen built at the edge so it could be used year round. The old black stove, I am old enough to remember my mother and family preparing Turkey one Christmas in the UK on such a stove. The power was out. This places ignites such memories or the imagination, think about getting up, gathering wood, lighting a fire, hauling some water and starting your day.Oh yeah its -30 c. Well worth a visit.

If you enjoy being harassed and ridiculed by the old seniors that volunteer here during events, this place is for you! If you're so lucky to be greeted by Mary & Marylin, the two old crows, your family will be in for a treat where they can expected the rudest customer service and insults towards your family. These two old birds should be in a seniors home where they can be monitored over letting them mingle amongst families coming to watch an event. Never in my lifetime have I and my family experienced such behaviour from people volunteering to usher and assist families. Not worth the money you spend here for tickets and I wouldn't put your family through a night of distasteful arrogance by the people they hire.

Went to see my grand daughter's dance recital (Burlinton Dance Academy) & enjoyed every minute of it. Lobby is so bright, open, spacious & inviting. Coffee, tea, & even wine was available at reasonable prices. Seats were comfortable & acoustics great, visible line to stage no problem. Directed to our seats in a professional but very friendly manner by (I think) volunteers. Some difficulty with parking..but drive around the block & got a spot in a free (Sat & Sunday) city-run pkg lot only a block from Centre. So nice & close to Lakeshore & Lake Ontario, that we walked down after the show for a nice stroll.

Such a great venue! The seats are super comfy and roomy!! We sat row B, but I don't think there would be a bad seat in the whole place. The staff are super sweet and mostly seniors (😍). Worth the drive from Oshawa!

Went and saw the Big Band show sponsored by the local Knights of Columbus at Burlington Performing Arts Center which was quite entertaining! The M/C was incredible giving the history of all the songs played! What was incredible about this show was the majority of musicians were in their 20s bring their love of music and honouring the 1930 to 1950 music era! Enjoyed all the musicians and singers! Hannah’s piano solo was fantastic!!

I took my brother (who was visiting from Australia) here to see The Box, a band which we both enjoyed back in the day. The BPAC is a fantastic venue! Clean and modern, great seating, friendly service, and very importantly, excellent sound quality. There is plenty of parking nearby, as well as plenty of food options. Easy access off the QEW, and the area is very nice with the waterfront close by. Oh, and the ticket prices are very reasonable.

Visitors can explore a restored farmhouse and nature center showcasing agriculture with farm animals and crops. The park provides camping options as well as yurts for accommodation. Hikers can choose from five trails including Maidens Blush Trail which is great for bird watching.
We enjoyed Bronte Creek because it'd an awesome open area . It's a good and clean provincial park , they'd a barn style playground and some animals you can even feed them at 25cents * theres machines at the location and the kids can enjoy some extra contact with animals in a fun and cute way by feeding the goats . There's a lot of washrooms so make easy to bring kids even younger ones, pregnant and even wheelchairs accessible too. You can enjoy fall colours easy too. You can bring strollers / wagoons and enjoy your own snack at the snack room inside the barn playground theres an space for snack . The trails are very clean and easy to do it with kids too. I visited a wonderful conservation area with well-maintained trails and attractions like the restored 100-year-old Spruce Lane Farmhouse, showcasing life in the 1900s. The farm had goats, sheep, and rabbits, plus a playground for kids. Though the swimming pool was closed for renovation, the nature center with turtles and snakes was fascinating. Clean washrooms made the visit even better! I truly enjoyed myself. 😊

This is a very accessible park east of Toronto. Very friendly staff. Facilities were very clean. The tent pitch was well maintained with a fire pit and seated bench. Local electrical supplies were available with a 30A connector and standard 15A 110Vac connectors. The pitch also gives you free access to the provincial park, which is a short drive away. There is some traffic noise, but suspect the rear tent pitches are more sheltered from this. Overall, it was great value and perfectly placed for trips to Niagara or Toronto. Bronte and Oakville are also close by and are extremely scenic areas to grab coffee and walk along the shore side.

Great provincial park in the middle of the city. Plenty of parking, accessible and lots of things to see and do. March is maple festival time. Day use is $18 per vehicle and includes entrance to the maple festival. Great for kids and adults. There is a small farm which you can see and an old house/museum. Place has a seasonal camp area but open the whole year for trekking.

One of my best cycling parks. It is well maintained and organized with designated car parking zones and maintained eating areas. Full of lots of terrain for mountain biking and cycling. Also hiking terrains to river beds and fishing. Farm for the children with some two and four legged friends. Has lots of activities going on through the year. Great experience for individuals and family

This park is a gem for camping and day picnic located in heart of the city. You never imagine you can find a very peaceful and beautiful place right in the buzz of city. Its located off QEW in Oackville and it is huge in terms of green space. We used the day pass and were amazed by the nature and how huge the spce is. You can easily find a quiet picnic spot with lots of benches and washrooms close by. There are a couple fun activities included as well, like the barn and the pool which was still closed, for kids and families. There is also plenty of small playgrounds close to each picnic section for kids. The trails are super nice for hikers and bikers. The parking spce is also very spacious and easy to find a spot. The only thing is washrooms could be cleaner as you pay for a pass and its not free, this raises the expectations of cleanliness. Overall, the picnic areaswere super clean. Overall, this was a super fun picnic exerience we had and I will be coming back here soon.

The park has numerous great picnic spots, well-maintained camping sites, and a variety of trails suitable for hiking and cycling. Families can enjoy fishing, exploring the park's beautiful scenery, and visiting the farm where children can engage with animals. Kids will love the playground and the barn, while adults can relax and take in the natural beauty. With its wide range of activities, Bronte Creek offers something for everyone.

Visited in late September and unfortunately a few of the highlights were closed. We knew the pool is closed so no big deal. But both the Nature center and the farm house were closed, so a bit disappointing. The park itself is very nice with cool hiking options. There are few farm animals that are friendly and cute, goats, sheep, lamb, pigs, bunnies.. all great. Plenty of parking and clean washrooms. The play area in the barn was a great success and is great for kids 3-10.

I recently visited a delightful little park and was thoroughly impressed! The park features a short hiking trail that is perfect for a leisurely walk. The trail is well-maintained and offers beautiful scenery, making it a pleasant experience for all ages. One of the best features is the designated BBQ areas, allowing visitors to enjoy a cookout while surrounded by nature. The park itself is clean and well-kept, with plenty of spots to sit and relax. If you’re looking for a serene place to unwind, enjoy a bit of nature, and have a BBQ, this park is definitely worth a visit. Highly recommended!

The park is very beautiful and is suitable for fishing, picnics, gatherings, kids birthday parties. It is well-maintained and clean. There are big recycling and garbage containers available around the park, specially in picnic areas. There’s a playground with the washroom close to it. So, it perfectly works out for the kids! Lol Although the hiking trails are short, they are beautiful as they stretch along the Bronte Creek. During summertime, you can book your free parking on their website.

I believe it's a great place to visit. No parking issue during week days, park is this much silent that you can hear river pleasing noise. Very good place to visit with family, especially kids, as it has a little playground, a couple of open fields, and a very clean site. Crawford Lake Conservation Area, located at 5234 Kelso Rd in Milton, is a vast park with a rich Iroquoian heritage site and offers stunning views of the canyon from its lookout point. The area boasts 19 kilometers of trails that wind through lush forests atop the Niagara Escarpment. Visitors can explore the boardwalk surrounding the rare meromictic lake and hike through the picturesque surroundings. Additionally, nearby Esquesing Conservation Area features a 1.
The walk around the lake is absolutely lovely — the boardwalk trail makes it an easy and scenic loop, perfect for all ages. The lake itself is peaceful and surrounded by forest, which makes for a relaxing stroll. One of the highlights was the tour of the Longhouses. It was both educational and fascinating to learn about Indigenous history and culture in such an interactive setting. The interpretive signage was informative without being overwhelming. The visitor center is small but very charming — a great little stop with helpful staff and interesting displays. I also noticed quite a few families enjoying the area, including parents with strollers, so the trails are definitely kid-friendly and accessible. Highly recommend for a day out in nature with a bit of culture and history added in!

Why visit: 1) This lake is beautiful but more than that it is a geological gem as it is a MEROMICTIC LAKE . Where the water layers in the lake do not mix . Thus helps scientific research to learn about the generations past studying the lake sediments. 2) Great trails around the lake and towards Rattle snake conservation area. 3) You can picnic the whole day here with family. 4) Being a green belt, even during the highest temperatures in the summer, you will get cool breeze and dense forest cover from the intense sunshine.Perfect respite from intense heat. 5) A good place to bring kids and toddlers 6) Huge wooden statues of various species are fun and entertaining for kids and adults both

A real gem. The 1km trail circumventing the lake is iconic. The 2.5 km escarpment trail is also interesting. The part from CL01 to the lookout is slightly difficult with some rock sections but the part from the lookout to CL02 is easy. The visitor centre closes at about 4 pm and so does the access to the washrooms, which is not ideal.( There is another one near the picnic area which is rustic hole-in-the ground). A good place for a summer picnic with friends and family. Would recommend buying tickets online as the gate is not manned till 11.00 am, making it a little complicated. Also cheaper.
Amit W — Google review
Lovely place to roam several trails and boardwalks, around the lake or through the woods, one trail connects to Rattlesnake Point. Visitors centre has souvenirs and basic snacks with a coffee machine, also plumbed toilets. The reconstructed village is excellently layed out.
Michael L — Google review
I visited the area in the weekend. I paid online the fees , $10.50 per adult. I purchased the tickets when I arrived. We went in three trails. The one I liked was escarpment trail. The nature is beautiful. However the washrooms don't have soap and water. I recommend having your hand sanitizer and your toilet paper 🧻.

Beautiful trail, dont bring bananas because the monkeys in the trees will try to take them from you. The views are amazing. I got to the top, and could see the CN Tower.

We spent very nice family time there☀️we walked practically every trail and really enjoyed them… weather was nice, sunny but trails are mostly under trees, so it wasn’t bad:) we saw chipmunks 🐿️, a lot of different birds and little creatures 🐜 🐞 🐛 There is planty of space for picnic and rest, they have nice visitor center where you can buy some snacks, coffee or local art :) You can also explore the 15th century Longhouse Village that has been reconstructed on its original site, which was absolutely amazing!

We went there about a month ago for the first time. Shortly after that car plunged into the water there. It's a great location, plenty of parking. Many areas to go for a walk. Please on the boardwalk fishing. It was very peaceful. We loved it. A nice place to escape the hustle and bustle. Nice spot, park for kids, large lawn, baseball field, wading pool from July to September, wonderful neighbourhood, trail to marina. Short trail but lots of wildlife. Lake is what it is, its Lake Ontario. Well maintained and clean.

For boaters, there's a boat launch for $20, which is a great option for those who want to enjoy a day on the water.

Lovely place even when it is still a bit cold. Nice walk along the lake surrounded by birds, swans, ducks and other animals. They are so used to being fed by humans that will come to you and make your visit to the park even a better experience. All the benches tell a different story, celebrating the life of a loved one. Only realized how some swans make a "trumpet" like sound after reading so in a plaque on one bench. The place is filled with trumpeter and mute swans. Such a nice experience to feed them. Some can be very gentle but others a bit harsh so wear gloves if you can and if you are having a kid feeding them, be mindful of this too. Chipmunks and squirrels will get close and eat off your hand too. It was lovely and can't wait for the summer to be back and do the hike too. Strongly recommend!

One of the best places in all the GTA to do bird watching. If you like this activity along with a nice hiking go to this place and you won’t be disappointed. Trumpeter Swans, Blue Herons, Wood Ducks, Cardinals, Woodpeckers… you name it. This park is special, 100% recommended. You can park at the Cherry Hill Gate parking lot. It’s a paid parking lot but it’s not expensive and the location is ideal.

Kerncliff Park in Burlington is a unique former quarry transformed into a city park, offering raised nature trails and stunning views of the city and Lake Ontario. As part of the Cootes to Escarpment Ecopark System, it promotes conservation and sustainability while providing educational opportunities. Although not officially designated as leash-free, it's a popular spot for dog owners. The park features gravel paths, boardwalks through marshy areas, and rocky structures perfect for photography.
Really awesome hidden gem, passed by many times but this time decided to try out a little hike. 3 hours later, we’re starving but didn’t want to go back, lol. Two parts to the park- the intensive trail network and the quarry swamps. The trails are awesome, lots of little streams (some may be dry depending on the season you go in) in the area so there are a lot of little bridges. Tons of frogs and insects in the streams that kids would love to see. Some of the trails may have some steeper sections, but nothing hardcore. The old quarry has been turned into a swamp with boardwalks. Lots of turtles in the area, saw families catching them with nets and releasing them back. Great experience for kids and everyone there as well. Loved it overall. Will return in the fall to check out the colours- they’re mostly broadleaf trees in there so the colours should be spectacular.

I love this park; it has many many trails suitable for walking, running and biking. It also has a rich wildlife and you see chipmunks, frogs, snails and birds. I specifically like the pond area and the view of the cliffs. You also get a gorgeous view of the Niagara Escarpment during your walk. It’s a nice park to distress and recharge.

The area is famous for Bruce Trail and located in Hamilton area. Beautiful park nestled in the Niagara escarpment features natural stone backdrop, wooden bridge through marsh, waterfall nature trails. We hiked on the side trails in and out the residential areas of 12km. Its not an easy hike, be careful you need to have a hiking gear before you go. Parking lot is small n always full unless you go early of the day like 9-10am.

Beautiful park less than an hour from Toronto. The trails are very scenic along the wooded forest area. It's particularly pretty during the fall season in mid October with colors in full fledge. The trails are not very long, but quite elevated. The view from the uphill is breathtaking. Amazing view of the Burlington town from the high point on the trail.

Oh what a sight! This place is just gorgeous. We went looking for frogs and snakes and ended up lost. Climbed the rocks to get up the hill and the scene you have from the top is amazing! The paths seem like they're endless. We thought we were heading back to the parking lot but we just went further in to the woods. We actually had to turn our GPS on to get out of there. Pack a lunch and hike up to the top. Lots of space to sit and relax.

We loved this hike! It's a 7/10 in terms of difficulty.. at least it was for us in the Winter. The uphill climbs are lovely but it was very muddy and wet and slippery so it's not for everyone. We didn't follow a specific trail but we did walk about 9km within between the trails and detours. The view from the vantage points are gorgeous! You can see the Hamilton bridge and it's just so lovely.

A nice place for trail. We parked on the top of the hill so that to enjoy the full picture in a warm winter day. I tried to find a water snake, turtle or a frog, but unfortunately maybe they are all in winter sleep. There are side walks along the hills and also good for dogs.

Lil' Monkeys Indoor Playground Inc. is a thrilling destination for kids, offering an array of activities to keep them entertained regardless of the weather. The friendly and attentive staff ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience for both kids and adults. The venue boasts various play structures, VR gaming, bungee jumping, and the Vortex spinning tunnel. It's an ideal spot for birthday parties or simply letting kids burn off energy with numerous games and activities available.
Lil' Monkeys: where children run free and parents pretend they don’t have children. It’s basically a giant, padded Thunderdome where kids are released like overexcited golden retrievers at an off-leash park. Meanwhile, (Most, but not all) parents sit on the sidelines, glued to their phones, only looking up when there’s a scream loud enough to suggest potential liability. From one father to another... your kids want you to join in on the fun! While you have your health and perhaps half of your flexibility left...chase them around or play some hide and seek. They will remember and cherish these moments with you into their later years. With that being said, this place is 10/10. Been coming here for years now and I feel like soon enough my son will be old enough to stop asking for lil monkeys. So greatful for this place and the memories it has allowed us to make!

My son had a blast at this indoor playground. There were loads of options - slides, trampoline, arcade, play area for younger kids 3 and below, different party rooms for birthdays! There is a sitting area where adults can eat or sit while the kids enjoy their play time (that’s if you don’t want to join your kid in having fun😀). There is also a food court where you can buy some food and drinks. I didn’t have a reservation so I bought tickets on site. You are required to put on socks and sign waivers to access the playground. There is free parking in the compound. I am so glad we found Lil Monkeys, it was really fun and very well worth it.

Our new favorite playground. So much fun, they have a mini "activate" room for the kids, interactive video games, trampolines where they strap in and jump as high as they can and one of the best playstruxtures we've ever seen. We will be back for sure, worth the drive in from etobicoke! Only downside is the food is VERY over priced!!
Kayla W — Google review
Great place for kids. So much to do. They even have an area for newest monkeys to climb. They even have seats in play center for parent waiting for their children. Everyone must be in socks parents included, so sew up those toe holes. If I could change one thing or make a suggestion, it would be not to charge admission for adults. The price would make me think twice. But over all great place and it will make all the little monkeys very tired out and sleep well that evening.

A good place but with less trained staffs. Paid for credits and after i paid then walked away and asked other staff to finish the procedures which needed the so-called manager to check how much i paid even the receipt is on the cashier desk. Kept Kids Waiting and wasted the time. And not to mention the unflushed toilets. I don't think it is a good place to go anymore. Sad for the service.
FeiFeiBo F — Google review
I will never ever go back to this place. They just care about money. They enter as much people as they want, they don't care about kids safety. They just care about how many people will go in. There is no space to sit. They should have limited people like other playgrounds. Very disappointed. I don't know why city of burlington is not do any checking of these place. This is not a joke this is children safety. There are a lot of bullying, i saw a many kids was fighting because there were not enough space to play. They covered the fountain so you can buy water! They will give you free admission if you write 5 stars review LOL
Gashbin A — Google review
A lot of fun and the crew members were amazing and helped a lot with the set up of my child’s birthday. It’s a big indoor playground with a mini bungee jump that all kids enjoyed and a twisting room. Overall, The kids had a great time and we will definitely be back.

Aria our Party host was incredible! She was extremely kind and helpful, we all had a 10/10 experience at little monkeys and will definitely be coming back next year for my son’s birthday! The entire staff is so kind and accommodating and I couldn’t recommend Lil’ Monkeys more!

The Royal Botanical Gardens - Rock Garden is a historic garden in Hamilton with a visitor centre, cafe, hiking trails, and year-round perennial displays. Visitors can enjoy the beautiful rose garden and unique wilderness trails with labeled trees. The rock garden is a major highlight of the trip, offering a peaceful and lush environment with carefully labeled flora. It's recommended to wear smart shoes for climbing through the rocks and paths to discover hidden treasures.
It was the first stop in our visit to the Royal Botanical Garden. This is a beautiful garden, the use of spaces and how the plants and flowers are allocated makes you fell harmony and good taste. We got the general admission that gave us access to other two facilities. Parking is located across the street and is free. This time of the year we found still a lot of tulips. Totally recommended.
Jaime L — Google review
I had higher expectations. I got in via reciprocal access from my botanical garden and I’m happy I didn’t have to pay because I was a underwhelmed. Part of this is due to the month I went; July. I imagine it would be stunning when the roses are in bloom. Minimal cultivated grounds spread apart across a couple areas. Free parking and handicap accessible.
Carolyn D — Google review
A peaceful gem in every season! The Royal Botanical Gardens is one of my favourite places to visit, and the Rock Garden is truly the highlight. I love wandering through its winding paths and finding quiet nooks to sit under a tree, read a book, or simply take a moment to breathe and meditate. It’s a beautiful escape from the hustle and bustle — peaceful, scenic, and always beautifully maintained. Whether you're a nature lover, photographer, or just looking for a serene place to relax, this spot is a must-visit.

One of my favorite things to do.whem traveling is visit botanical gardens. I liked the rock garden even more than the botanical garden. Both are great but the rock garden had fun trail options, the easily accessible or the stones you could go through the trees. A couple places to overlook and a peaceful area near the pond.

A secret garden with hidden paths amongst an abundance of nature. Lovely for a relaxing walk. Has many seats and benches to rest or read and relax.

My sons and I attended the "after dark spring" event.. it's 19+.. (something different to do ) ..there are a lot of elderly people here. 55+.. and ALOT of stairs... accessibility is limited to outdoors at the rock Garden...the music was "limited" ,due to the fact that the performers wanted to satisfy the elderly crowd... the guy playing was amazing!!! ..he sounded like Post Malone! I wanted to do a shout out of "lemon tree".. but honestly, the crowd was more into "Guns N' Roses".. which is fine, but not everyone is in that age group.. We felt like the time for performing "song request",could've been utilized better (A different conversation). "After dark" pictures were amazing! Over all, RBG should have "age wise",events in order to utilize the time/money spent on performances.. I'm a member and still pay for tickets. Questionable? The food was OK for a snack... drinks were expensive.$8 for 6oz wine... staff were amazing... good sense of humours! We'll be back..

After I drove by for 25 years, we finally went last year. This year I bought a membership and we’ve been about four or five times. It is absolutely amazing. I love the events. Been to 2 RBG After Dark events so far this summer and I’m hooked!

Zero Latency Burlington offers an immersive free-roam virtual reality experience suitable for both experienced gamers and newcomers to VR. With the ability to accommodate up to 8 players at once, visitors can enjoy a variety of completely immersive games. The venue is highly recommended for all ages, making it a popular choice for birthday parties and group outings. Guests have praised the exceptional service provided by the staff, who are described as helpful and accommodating.
The gaming VR experience was fantastic! Ivan and Miguel were excellent instructors—they explained everything clearly, were patient, and made sure everyone had a great time. Their enthusiasm and support made the session immersive and enjoyable for both new and experienced players. Highly recommend!
Vaibhav K — Google review
Pretty decent VR but doesn’t have hands or feet sensors. You have your classic headset and either a gun or hand controllers. The gun functions didn’t work properly which was annoying but at least there was a button we could press instead although it was very inconvenient to press. The coms were also on the frits which made what was suppose to be a group experience solo. Very hard to coordinate and work together with no communication. Can’t even use hand signs since there aren’t hand sensors. I did really like that the headsets (only in the games not escape rooms) had a feature to refocus and adjust to your eye spacing. Sometimes it digs into your face though. FarCry- We were also warned that FarCry was blurry which they did not lie about! This made it really hard on the eyes and brain to process. The trailer was super misleading that you would be walking around a lot more and trying to escape but it was mostly hunker down and shoot. I really didn’t enjoy that some travel points was just morphing. Walk to the end of this path then morph to a new path and walk it and again and again. I pay to go to somewhere so I can walk around and use their space. Haunted special- this one was pretty cool. Was happy to get to walk around the facility more. Did it with 2 people and it sounded like 1 person had a scarier and more in-depth experience than another player. The 15 minutes goes by really quick. Escape rooms - about 8 options (as of October 2025). Lower level headset (manual focus) and hand controllers. The experience itself was pretty neat but it was quite unfortunate that there are 2 rooms right beside each other that doesn’t have a full wall so it’s incredibly loud and you need to communicate during an escape room. I would still recommend it as something to do and would at least try it again once more but there are definitely higher tech/grade places.

Unforgettable family experience! I took my nephew and niece to Zero Latency Burlington to play Outbreak, and we had an absolute blast! The game was insanely immersive — it felt like we were actually inside a zombie movie. The graphics, sound, and freedom to move around made it such a unique and exciting experience for all of us. Johnny was amazing from start to finish. He was super friendly, patient, and made sure the kids understood how everything worked before we jumped in. He kept the energy up and made the whole visit even more fun. If you’re looking for something different to do with family or friends, I can’t recommend Zero Latency Burlington enough. Outbreak was thrilling, and we’re already planning our next visit.

Absolutely loved this place. You can find your inner childhood from playing a modern day "the floor is lava" to shooting hoops, playing grid, killing asteroids to playing with laser beams, I thoroughly enjoyed myself and would recommend to everyone

Took my daughter to Activate Burlington and we had an amazing time! The games were interactive, fast-paced, and perfect for bonding while staying active. It was a great mix of challenge and fun - she was fully engaged the whole time and we’ve been talking about this for weeks!
Phillip D — Google review
We went to activates when it first open a couple of times and it always impressed us how good the rooms are, the games, and it's great for kids and adults. We now revisited it a few days ago and were happily surprised to see they had not rooms and games!! I also like that the activate team staggers bookings so the rooms are not flooded with people and you need to wait. There's always at least 2-3 rooms ready to go. Be ready to burn calories. This place is great!

Too much fun for both kids and adults! We tried Activate for the first time and had a blast! The 75-minute session for $29 is a great value considering how active and engaging the experience is. Perfect for groups or families — there’s something for everyone. The place is very clean and well-maintained. They have a sanitizing station, a water refill area, and clean washrooms, which is definitely a plus when you’re on the move for over an hour.Highly recommend for a fun day out!

I felt like I was on Big Brother!! It was so much fun. Andy was so helpful and kind at the front desk. He even got the game we wanted to play up and running before we left. Mal was so kind on the way out, great staff. Great experience.

We had so much fun here! The games were really fun and although some might have a wait it's never more than 5 minutes. We got to play so much during the time we had. It was a really great experience. Although I would say most of the games don't involve a lot of physical effort which might be good for some. :)

Love this place. I have been here 6-7 times, however today was my wife’s first time. Sadly today, the two employees working the front desk were incredibly not helpful and very short with our family. They asked if it was wife’s first time and my wife said yes, and then they provided no instructions on what to do. I might return but I really hope the employees show more care and effort to make one experience enjoyable. Our child had issues with the reward points and the workers offered no support at all.

Paletta Lakefront Park in Burlington is a captivating blend of history and natural beauty. Divided into two sections, the park boasts a 1930s estate with meticulously landscaped grounds and a natural area featuring flood plains and nature trails. Visitors can admire the suspended iron bridges, take in panoramic views of Lake Ontario, and explore the 10km Discovery Trail while observing diverse wildlife.
Paletta Mansion is absolutely beautiful! The serene lakefront views and the peaceful atmosphere make it a perfect spot for a relaxing visit. I thoroughly enjoyed walking along the Discovery Path, which winds through lovely gardens and offers stunning views of Lake Ontario. Parking and admission are free, which is a great bonus. The mansion and its grounds can also be reserved for group photography sessions or private events, making it an ideal venue for special occasions. Whether you're here for a quiet stroll, a family outing, or an event, Paletta Mansion is a gem worth visiting!"

The grounds here were stunning and very well maintained!! The path by the lake and through the woods provided us with a wonderful morning walk! So many beautiful and interesting things to see! When we were there (Sat., Aug. 31st), some parts of the trail were closed for restoration, but we were still able to see most of the park. We loved the earthy smell of the fresh air and the healing nature that surrounded us! There were not many people there, so it was very peaceful and relaxing! You must see this fabulous Mansion & Park! Free parking/admission. Well worth your time! 😊👍💜

The property is beautiful, and there are some sitting areas by the lake to sit and enjoy a beverage or simply take in the gorgeous landscape. There are short peaceful trails, allowing for a quick retreat from your worries and my senior dog loves the ease of the short walk. The parking is free !

This is such a wonderful park! I went here with my dog and had such a great time. It has a fantastic view of the lake, plenty of places to sit, very well maintained, and best of all not too many people visit here compared to other parks on the lakefront. The "Discovery Path" is a beautiful trail you can take your dog or go for a stroll. It wraps around in a loop and takes you back to where you started. I highly recommend this well-groomed not so busy park.

Great place for walk and spending time with family. Serene lake view and small trail for biking. Plenty of parking and no rush overall. There were tons of mosquitoes though, so apply bug spray before stepping out of the car.

Staff was great, very interactive with the kids and party. Some of the toy nerf guns did not work and many of the glow in the dark balls were ripped. Overall a good experience but could use some refurbishments and more equipment
Brock B — Google review
I attended a kids’ birthday party at The Zorbit Sports today. It’s a decent little spot — definitely not a huge venue, but it works well for small to medium-sized parties. I like the idea behind the place and appreciate that it’s something local and budget-friendly. The setup is simple, and while the sports area is a bit small, the kids still had a great time running around and playing nerf. The party room could use better layout or seating arrangements, but overall it’s functional. Staff seemed friendly and things were organized enough to keep the event flowing smoothly. If you’re looking for an affordable, no-frills birthday party option that keeps the kids active, this place does the job.
Vikassh ( — Google review
This is our third year with the Zorbit summer camp, and we couldn’t be happier! The staff are absolutely wonderful , caring, energetic, and great with the kids. My child always has so much fun here and comes home with a big smile every day. I also really appreciate that the camp is held entirely indoors. It’s been incredibly hot outside, and I honestly don’t think kids could stay active, protected, and properly hydrated if they were outdoors all day. It’s such a relief to know they’re having a great time in a safe, comfortable environment, without anyone overheating. The camp has consistently kept its high standards year after year, if anything, it keeps getting even better. Highly recommend!
Zeynep K — Google review
I really wanted to give Zorbit a 5 star review because our party host truly went above and beyond for us in every way- his name is Damian and he was the best! My son said it was the best birthday party he has ever had ! From a mom who has hosted 10 parties now for him, and have been to facilities to host most of those 10, there are a few things I would point out here. Guns/ bullets- not all of them were in great condition- Damian was a super star and helped everyone find good guns and even sat there in downtime and cleaned all the goggles he truly cares for this place and the equipment! Cleanliness - Damian and his partner did go above and beyond to clean the party room we were in - but the entry way floor and place the kids store their items and the bathroom were rough. Best way to put it. Not unclean but like old - which is confusing bc I think this place is new ?! Communication: at all other facilities , when you book online SOMEONE calls you to confirm and give details - no one called us. I booked a month out, and nothing/ I tried to get a hold of them for a week and started getting nervous! I spoke to a family who was leaving the party before us- and they expressed the same experience. Had I not gotten someone on the phone I would have been stuck - they don’t provide cutlery plates etc - you need to bring it all ( were bought the package with the pizza) and you would think if you buy a package with pizza - they would provide plates and cutlery …good thing I asked ! There was always talk of a manager / but this manager never appeared or contacted us. Did my son have the best party ever - yes! From a moms perspective who has planned a lot parties - Damian truly saved the experience for me ! He and his partner were so passionate and excited for the kids and they played with them kept everyone safe and truly made my sons party a success!!
Nicole S — Google review
We have hosted my son's birthday here 2 years in a row! It was great to see the improvements and added decor that was new this year. The kids have a blast and are exhausted by the end. The venue is perfect sized for the parties and the battle space is exclusive to your group. The host leads the safety and the games. It is such an easy party to host and the staff is all friendly and efficient.
Vanessa L — Google review
Zorbit is awesome! My son had done camp there a couple years ago and loved it so we decided to have his birthday party there this year. The traffic around town was terrible and made a few of the kids late and a couple didn't make it at all but my son didn't even really notice because the party host (I think his name was Damian) had them so busy playing games while they waited before starting the actual nerf battle once everyone showed up. My son said it was the best birthday party ever! We will definitely be going back!
Theo S — Google review
My son had his birthday party at Zorbit Sports yesterday. He and his friends had a fantastic time there. The party host/ game organizer was amazing, who knew so well how to engage kids while keeping them playing safely. The play time was 1.5 hours out of the 2-hour booking, which was an amazing deal. The Burlington Festival of Lights is a must-visit winter event in Canada. This outdoor Christmas lights extravaganza offers free access to all visitors and boasts an impressive display that is even better than some paid events in the Greater Toronto Area. The festival extends its holiday light displays until the end of January, providing ample time for visitors to enjoy the beautiful night stroll through the well-maintained park by the lake.
Great outdoor Christmas / winter lights event that has free access to anyone. Great open location, with many ways to enter. Much better than some of the paid/fee events around the GTA. Lights are amazing, must go once it's a bit darker. You should be able to find free parking essentially everywhere, with a short walk around the downtown area. Only minor con is that once the ground begins to thaw or it has rained, it gets very muddy/swampy there, so you definitely want larger boots.
Mat B — Google review
The light show was very interesting. That place was so cold because of the weather and it is located near Ontario Lake. There were a bunch of attractive light decorations .
Sayan S — Google review
More animated lights than in Niagara Falls and these lights are around until end of Jan. Great that you could walk around and up close. Lots of people enjoying the displays but not so crowded that you were up against them and easy enough to avoid interactions. Some areas were icy, so I wouldn't bring anybody who is unsteady on their feet here, or you just need to view everything from the sidewalk along Lakeshore Blvd. Nice to walk up Brant St up to the interactive sound tree too, but most shops are closed at night. TIP: Parking garage and free parking north across the street. Avoid Lakeshore if you can since there's usually a backlog of cars ogling and trying to turn into the lakeshore parking lot.
Cory S — Google review
Great place to visit this winter for a beautiful night stroll. They extended the holiday light displays till the end of Jan 2021. Clean and well-maintained park by the lake. No entry fee. Parking in the area is also free at certain times. Check the Burlington Festival of Lights website to find Green P parking lots in the area. Not crowded and covid safe. There is also an ice rink which you have to make a reservation to use. Kids will have so much fun here. There is a playground for them to enjoy. Highly recommend a visit, especially these days with not much to do. I think this will be a nice park to visit during the daytime too even if the light displays are off or removed. Will have to plan another visit to check out the views from the lake.

Best indoor playground in Burlington 100%. Lots of different climbers, games, slides and playgrounds for our toddler. She absolutely loves it here and we often have the place to ourselves. Hats off to Malissa, who also made our experience that much more enjoyable. She is lovely to chat with, amazing with our daughter and is always paying attention to detail/cleanliness of the centre. They replaced free toys/equipment with token operated machines that don't even work. Old equipment is not repaired or refurbished; it is now a birthday party cash grab. Today my experience was one star but i give three stars to be fair as we had lots of fun here over the years.

*UPDATED* In some ways it's better than it's competitor down the road. However the most glaring issue is how many broken rides and games there are. Several don't have out of order signs. The foam ball room has few foam balls. Only one employee was working while we were there. There are two slightly bigger climbing structures here but what i do like is that the games are not set to suck tokens from you like the other place does. You do not get tickets like the other place does but here you can enjoy the games with your child. There is less distractions here and it is more focused on play instead of flashy arcade games! It's relatively clean but also has junk food available. ADDENDUM : - Not sure why they exactly changed their name to Aladdin's adventure since it doesn't exactly have any brand relevance. Machines are still good and you don't feel like you're being milked. Some are still broken though. Hoping the new owners improve the space. Its still better and more affordable than the competitor.

My kids had a blast. However I did feel that this place could benefit from some timed release airfreshners. With so many sweaty kids running around it smelled a bit like a gym bag. They have snacks for sale as well but 1.50 for one little bag of welches fruit snacks so bring your wallet.the admission price isn't bad though considering how much fun the kids have. We stayed for 2 hours and we will be back next time we are in the area

Hiking Trails
Hidden Valley Park is a serene oasis located in the Aldershot community, offering a peaceful escape from city life. While not an official leash-free zone, the natural trails and nearby stream provide an ideal setting for leisurely walks with leashed pets. The park features picnic areas, a baseball diamond, playgrounds, splash pads, and public restrooms.
This is an amazing park. I actually go to the free leash dog part. The scene is spectacular you can see the whole bay of lake Ontario. The park is very large the dogs can really stretch their legs. There is a covered area just in case the rain and lots of picnic tables throughout the place. The people are very friendly and kind, you will definitely make a friend or two. Also there is a small portion dedicated for the little doggies to keep them safe away from the large one. Tons of parking and a great place to hike. If you have a dog I suggest you go and visit this place, I think you'll enjoy it and will be coming back just like we are. The park is open from sunrise to sunset. Have fun and enjoy yourself and I guarantee your dog will love it. Love ya, All ♥️🙏✌️

Beautiful walk from Hidden Valley into RBG then to york bridge. If your up for a walk, this one is a really nice one!!!

Awesome park, with plenty of small gravel and paved trails running along a creek that heads towards RBG. There's plenty of picnic tables, washrooms open (not during winter), and kids playground. Low key a great park.

I recently visited Hidden Valley Park in Canada and it was an amazing experience! The park is located in a beautiful and serene valley surrounded by lush greenery and tall trees. The park features a large lake where you can go fishing, boating, or simply enjoy the scenic views. The park also has several hiking trails that offer stunning views of the valley and the surrounding mountains. The trails are well-maintained and marked, making it easy to navigate. There are several picnic areas and benches throughout the park, making it a great place to relax and enjoy a meal. The park is also home to a variety of wildlife, including deer, moose, and birds. Overall, Hidden Valley Park is a must-visit destination for nature lovers and outdoor enthusiasts.

Terrific park in the Aldershot area of Burlington. Lots of picnic areas, some with pavilions for rainy days, two playgrounds, and lots of parking. The multi-use trail along Grindstone Creek is very walkable but has some small patches that would be more difficult to use with a wheeled conveyance (walker, stroller, or wheelchair). The multi-use trail connects (by crossing Unsworth Avenue) to the Creek Side Walk in the RBG Hendrie Valley Sanctuary.

One of the best parks that I have seen in terms of quietness and cleanliness. We really enjoyed our time there. You can also bring your own BBQ grill to the park as well.

It's a hidden gem in the city of Burlington. This park has got lots of free parking with multiple picnic areas for the families, neat and clean washrooms, a small activity area for the kids and a good walking trail. The small stream is a lovely treat, with great photo opportunities. A must visit place, totally recommended !

We rented the picnic area 2 for my daughter's birthday celebration and it was the best idea. The picnic area is very private, and it has the washrooms, splash pad, and playground nearby. The picnic are has a lot of space, good number of tables, etc...

Outdoor swimming pool
Mountainside Pool & Splash Park in Burlington is a fantastic destination for families with kids. The pool is well-maintained and the water is warm but not too hot, providing a comfortable swimming experience. In addition to the pool, there's a splash pad with interactive features like working taps, buttons, tipping bucket, slide, and fountains. The staff are professional and friendly, ensuring a pleasant visit for everyone.
Very nice outdoor swimming pool. There is splash pad, kids small slides with water, a long water slide, rock climbing and jump in pool, deep area for swimmers and lap swim. Kids have to pass swim test for no adult supervision. Its a nice place to take kids in summer. They will enjoy for sure. There is entry fees which is usual for any city pool.

The pool and splash park itself is an amazing facility; clean, spacious, and a great place to swim or cool off on hot days. Unfortunately, the management leaves quite a bit to be desired. They open and close without any advance notice, which can be really frustrating. The other day, I went for lap swimming; everything looked open, but it turned out to be closed even though the schedule said it should be open. Another issue is the lack of clear, consistent rules. It feels like every lifeguard has their own set of rules and tries to enforce them differently. For example, about taking photos at the pool. If there is a policy, it should be clearly posted and applied equally to everyone. I really do love the facility itself, but every time I go, I find myself wondering what unexpected issue I might run into next. With better management and clearer communication, this place could easily be five stars.

I had a fantastic time at Mountainside Pool in Burlington with my children. We spent an amazing afternoon together, and the kids absolutely loved the slide and splash area. The facility was impeccably clean, and I'm definitely looking forward to visiting again soon!

Great pool, fun lifeguards, lots of different sections for different - lap pool - splash pad - rock climbing wall - water slide - 4-5 different sections of water getting deeper and deeper. - green seating areas - outdoor showers - snack bar I think that they need to explain the rules of the pool especially to ethnic families where language barriers may be a problem. Not fault to the lifeguards also these people could just disobey regardless of knowing the rules, and they are in fact very simple rules to follow. The slide of the pool is also closed right now as they have a wasp issue (I’m pretty sure they had this issue last year aswell)

Love this place. But come early cause as the day goes on it gets very busy. There is a waterslide, a rock climb section in the pool. A splash area.
Vee S — Google review
Great visit to this pool. Renovation looks great. Bathroom/change rooms easy to find and clean. Showers available outdoors as well. My kids had a blast. Water temperature was perfect. Water slide and the rock climbing was a hit. Lifeguards and the staff at check-in was great (lady with colourful tattoo sleeve) definitely will visit before the summer is up.

I had a great time with my kids. place is very clean full of life guards. 5 stars

I was very impressed with tue Mountainside pool during my 1st visit. They have done an amazing job bringing it into the 21st century. There is plenty of space, fun things for kids all ages, and the slide is super popular. The changerooms and washrooms were clean. My favorite part is the location as the pool backs onto trees, which create shade. Great place to hang out on a hot day.
